Akira Kurusu, Yu Narukami, and Minato Arisato Mets Reader Who Summons Their Persona Differently

Note: This is a little bit of swearing and very long.

Akira Kurusu

After hearing about another person running around in the Metaverse, the group was on edge.

One time they were at the Mementos and Oracle detects a presence, a human presence.

Naturally, they thought the person were the Black Mask.

When they met you, they accused you of being the Black Mask

Obviously you were confused, “Black Mask? Causing mental shutdowns? Are you good?”

Then you got into the fight with them

If you used an Evoker, they would freak out. They literally thought you were going to…make yourself sleep forever. The entire team’s heart basically skipped a beat. Akira just stared at you with wide eyes and mouth open.

If you used a Tarot card, the team will be confused. Akira will notice what kind of card will be floating in your hand. The Fool, Emperor, Lovers, etc. You destroyed your Tarot card with your weapon

He got to hand it out to you, you are pretty good. You even got some critical hits, and able to get the correct weakness of Joker's Personas.

You were defeated

However, you convinced them that you were not the Black Mask. Oracle also agrees with you as she analyzes your Persona and their levels and concludes that you would be at a higher level.

The group apologizes, but you forgave them.

You join their group to take down the Black Mask.

You seem to get along with Akira the most. Most likely due to your other friend is almost like them.

You chat to him a how you summon your Persona. Accepting death or accepting yourself.

You help out the group if they are struggling on fighting shadows.

Akira, in turn, helps you out with all the Phantom Thieve stuff.

Being sneaky wasn't the main factor in your last adventure, so you often get caught by a shadow.

Yu Narukami

The Investigate Team was training inside the Midnight Channel when Kujikawa sense a presence.

Believing that this could be the person who keeps throwing people into the Midnight Channel, they immediately went to the area where the presence is at.

The team met you, who was wandering around because you can't see anything.

They accuse you of being the person who caused the killings. You objected to the accusation, saying that you would never attempt to kill someone.

Though they didn't seem to be convinced as they decide to start a fight with you.

If you summon your Persona with a Mask, which is most likely the reason why they thought you were a killer, they flinch at the sight of blood going down your face and the blood dripping down the floor. You seem unfazed by this, which make them a little concerned.

If you summon using an Evoker, expect the same reaction as the Phantom Thieves. When they saw you took out the Evoker. They thought it was a real gun and start to freak out. Pretty sure Yosuke will pee himself. The group will run to what ever object nearby in hopes that the bullet won't go through the object. Instead, you put the Evoker towards your head. Rise let out a shout, which in turn made the team look at you as you just pulled the trigger. Instead of seeing a corpse, they instead saw your Persona. Narukami was wide-eyed the entire event

During the battle, Rise senses another presence. However, the presence was weak and surrounded by shadows.

They stopped the fight after Rise told them that they believed that another victim was just thrown into the Midnight Channel.

Since you were with them while the person was thrown into here, they are now convinced you are not the killer.

You joined the Investigate Team!

Narukami asks you about your previous adventures when he hangs out with you. You always recount the good memories of your old teammates, and how Narukami reminds them of their old leaders.

If you are able to get your old teammates to help you with the investigation, you give Narukmai a nudge, "Don't mess with Kirijo-san/Niijima-san, they WILL whoop your ass."

Minato Arisato

While they were approaching the boss, Yamagishi sense a different presence.

The group got concern considering that ordinary people get stranded in the Dark Hour.

They quickly went to the location, and then they met you.

However, Yamagishi notices that you were quite strong. S.E.E.S immediately thought you were a member of Strega. You objected the claim.

"What the hell is Strega?"

You got into the fight, sadly.

If you summon through a Mask, he will be shock about the amount of blood on your face. It will take a little time for him to get used to it.

If you summon through a Tarot Card, they would be confused as how you summoned the card above your hand. Minato knows the card is, since they appear in his head time from time. Because of the Social Links, he can tell what card you had in your hand.

Kirijo stopped the battle when she notices that you didn't summon your Persona with an Evoker. She tells the group that summoning through a Mask/Card will be near impossible, because it will be difficult to make them function to summon a Persona just from Crushing/Ripping them.

The revelation was short-lived when the boss interrupted the conversation.

You fight alongside the S.E.E.S after that.

You talked about your old members to Arisato. Sometimes talked about your struggles in your adventures, either personal or the fighting.

All of Them

The year got closer to end. You were alone with Akira/Yu/Minato having small talk. You tap their shoulder, and you got close to their ear, "Someone might die in this journey...and a god might be behind all this. Be careful." They looked at you, to see a serious look in your eyes. A look of someone who seen a tragedy... Before they ask about what you are talking about, someone calls you over. You give them a pat on the back before walking over to the person that called you over. They are left to ponder on what you said.

Hiya! I found your blog through your neocities website! I was wondering if there’s any tips or things you read/watched that help you make your site. (Im heavily considering making one of my own neocities site it just seems fun)

hihi welcome !! i have quite a few pieces of advice, but the tldr is you should come up with an idea for what you want to make beforehand, and look up how to do each piece! your knowledge will start to fill in along the way :]

(this is probably gonna be long as hell so under the cut is all of the fun stuff /silly)

the way i personally started off was by sketching out what i wanted my site to look like! if you know what you want before you begin, you'll know where to look to figure out what you need to do. html+ css are extremely easy languages to read/write once you know what to look for!

^ this was the original sketch for my site, where i planned out everything i wanted to include. it's a bit different from what actually ended up on the site, but that's alright! it's just about having an outline to work from. i think of it like outlining before you write, it feels like such a pain in the ass because u just wanna start working NOW but u will thank yourself later for taking the time to plan.

once you know what you want to make, start looking for tutorials and resources to make it easier! the grid for my homepage and some of my other subpages was made using a css grid generator, since its one of the more confusing bits of css. you can make grids without it, but its a very easy way to make a more asymmetrical design if ur using the generator!

thats linked here, it gives you some css to put in your head or css sheet, and then the html for the different boxes to slap in your main document. it can be easier to understand what itll look like if you give each one a border while you work, even if its just temporary!

when looking for information about css and html, w3schools is your best friend. its a pretty comprehensive database of every little piece of html + css you could ever need, with examples you can play with yourself to understand what each variable does! it's been a lifesaver for me, ive watched basically zero video tutorials because everything on there is explained so well and you can find basically Anything.

they even have code snippets for things that take more than one or two lines of code, which you can use and adapt yourself! (the tooltips on the official art + my art sections on the hinata shrine were adapted from a tutorial on there!)

in general, having a plan and working from there will make ur life so much easier. the pages that ive sketched out beforehand or ive had a very clear vision for have been WAYY easier to code than the ones i tried to come up with on the fly, and ive been much happier with how they've turned out as well. though i do also have some smaller, rapidfire tips as well that ill go thru now!!

— inline css (the style="" tag) seems so so useful but really should only be used when you're resizing images like buttons. when u keep all of your css in the head or in a seperate document, its way easier to debug and read later. i cleaned up my homepage recently by removing all of the inline css and looking at the code stresses me out WAY less because i can actually read it LOLOL ... plus cutting the css out and putting it in its own document made me realize that id accidentally wrote some really weird code in some places

— this is very much 'do as i say, not as i do,' but use an external editor (like visual studio code) instead of editing live on neocities! you can set up a live preview, and generally wont be pushing out 100 updates every single time you change or add something. i tend to code directly on neocities but its a bad habit and i want to break it eventually v_v

— if you really like an effect someone else has on their site, you can peek using inspect element i promise the coding police won't get you !! dont steal code line for line, but you can figure out what theyre doing and put your own spin on it. things like border images can be really cool, and i only figured out about them because i looked at what someone else was doing and figured out how to adapt it for my own site! check linkbooks and credit sections as well, a lot of people will include links to any effect they didnt make themself or got help with. (including me! the credits section of the linkbook has a ton of little things i got from other places, including a really neat little music player, the rss feed for my status cafe, and the wobbly text on the homepage!)

— most stuff in html and css basically just... says what it does in the tag. so looking stuff up for it is extremely easy! if you've used carrd before you honestly probably already know more abt html than u'd think just intuitively. when ur adjusting the margins or padding in carrd, you're adjusting the margin: and padding: properties in the css of the website it's outputting!

this is getting way too long but!! my best advice is to just get started. you'll never be able to learn without trying, and it genuinely is so fun to have something that's truly your own!

2. What made you finally start writing?

ooohh good question! honestly, i think it was a mix of finally making a seperate whump blog for myself and stop lurking, reading other people’s whump series during that time, being kinda bored during the summer, and wanting to start writing again.

i don’t really know what specifically made me start, just that i thought it’d be fun. i wanted to write about my tllr ocs for a long time before that, but never really,, could? i tried a long time ago, but i felt weirdly guilty writing about whump so i stopped (my whole life i’ve NEVER felt guilt for enjoying whump, writing it was just weird at first, NOT anymore). and then i just decided that, hey, i have a really cool story in my head that some people might like, why not try putting my writing out there for the first time?

ohhh yeah another reason was because it was a month before school started again, and one of my glasses was creative writing. since before tllr, i hadn’t shared ANY of my original writing to ANYONE, i kinda needed to show SOMEONE before i got to school and suddenly had to write a whole bunch without knowing if my writing was actually Good or not. so yeah a lot of factors were involved to finally make me start writing tllr, and i’m really really happy i did :)

20. (for Dew) When was your first punishment? How bad was it compared to what’s happened since?

Dew sadly looks up at you for a moment, and then he responds. “It was… it was when I f-first tried escaping. Thinking back, I can’t believe how stupid I was. I had no idea the danger I was in- or- or what Anton could do to me. I was just so scared being in a new situation, that I just ran without thinking. I’m surprised I even made it outside.”

“The tranquilizer dart was very scary at the time— and painful. But now… I’d just prefer it if he shot me with a tranquilizer gun instead of some of the other stuff he does to me. I didn’t realize how easy I had it, I guess. It was nothing compared to what he’s done to me recently.”

“And that wasn’t even the actual punishment for attempting to escape, that was just how he got me back inside. Anton said he would punish me… but then he found out I was trans and gave me free top surgery instead, so I guess I lucked out there.”

30. (for Anton) What do you look for in a Whumpee?

“hmm. I suppose when I was looking for a test subject a few months ago and found Dew, I was mainly looking for someone who didn’t seem to have much of a social life. You know, someone who wouldn’t be missed too much if they disappeared, and someone less important enough to not cause too big of a search for them.”

“And of course, I had to find someone much weaker than me. Someone who seems like they’d comply easily, or at least not try to fight me that much, once they know what I can do to them. I needed someone I could easily overpower, and who seemed easy to manipulate…”

“Dew was perfect. He didn’t seem to have much of a life. A deadbeat job, not much of a family or friends, two roommates he didn’t seem super close with… as far as I knew. He wasn’t anyone important. He was easy to take, and easy to do whatever I wanted to him…”

“But I guess I also want a test subject who’s friendly— not like I would ever be friends with one, but I didn’t want a test subject who was just a huge jerk to me. I knew whoever it was, would be lonely in the lab and that i’d have to spend a lot of time with them. So I’m happy I can talk to Dew sometimes, and won’t have to worry about him ripping my head off like a feral animal.”

What caused you to start writing? What was your key point? How do you describe writing / rp to others? What is your favorite canon muse? Who is your favorite OC? How do you create an OC? What are your steps for developing an OC? FC or story first when you develop an OC? What’s something you find weird on here? What are things that you don’t wish to see on here?

I've liked writing since a young age, and I think it was my love of reading which spurred my love of writing. But for RPing, someone was looking for someone to write Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter in an RP group on a seperate site (not Tumblr) when I was like 13. Seeing as she was my favorite character, I decided to do it. I went on to RP many many more muses on other sites before moving to Tumblr.

My favorite canon muse that I RP now is a tie between Ciri, The Thirteenth Doctor, Dany, and Arya. As for favorite muses I've RPed ever, I'd also add Clara Oswald, Luna, and Cinna from The Hunger Games to the list. I might just bring Clara back one day heheh. <3

My favorite OC is super hard to choose and changes all the time but at the moment, I'd say it's a tie between Persephone, Victoria, Alex, Hope, Farryn, and Esme. Also Aphrodite, she's just fun to play for some reason. LOL.

How I create an OC varies from muse to muse. Usually I'll think of a backstory and personality for them first, and then choose a FC. But sometimes I have a vague concept and pick a FC and then further develop the muse.

I'd say I develop my OCs just through RPing them. The more I RP them, the more I get to know them as a person. And hopefully that comes across. <3

Usually story first, or at least a vague idea of one. Then FC. But it depends on the muse TBH.

I find the focus on graphics for promos and icons weird. Like no hate to anyone who enjoys making pretty promos and icons. But it shouldn't be a requirement or that important, in my opinion. I think the writing is what really matters. And everything else is extra, you know? I also find some callouts (not the serious ones) weird, in that people will put like "ships thing I dislike" or "likes character I hate" as a serious offense, almost like it's bigotry. And I find that strange as well. If someone's being offensive in how they write a muse, by all means call that out. But just someone shipping a ship or liking a character, I don't think needs to be mentioned most of the time. (Unpopular opinion, maybe? IDK. LOL)

I don't really mind most things. But I have to say, I get somewhat annoyed when there are people who spend their time in OOC posts getting upset at other people for liking XYZ thing they don't like. I get the need to rant. I get it. There are plenty of things I dislike. But I feel like as a RPC, if someone plays a muse you dislike or ships something you don't like, just do your best to ignore it. Blacklist tags, unfollow/block people as needed. But making tons of posts about it won't change other people's minds. And might upset some RP partners who don't feel the same way. So I feel like, if someone likes something you dislike, feel free to vent about it if you need to. I'm not going to tell people what to do. But maybe keep it to a minimum, if you can.

Also, any callouts that are pretty much just the same thing. Like "don't follow this person they ship XYZ thing." or "they write this muse" or "they write XYZ problematic topic". And for the last one, I get it. There are topics I won't write. But I feel like it's each RPers job to curate their own blog. And like just don't follow people who write things you don't want to, ya know? Or if you do follow, make your boundaries clear in your rules. And if someone doesn't respect those boundaries? Block them. That, to me seems a lot healthier than calling people out for writing XYZ thing that you dislike or think is wrong. Obviously, if someone writes a muse in a way that's offensive to a marginalized group or something, and they don't listen to feedback, a callout would make sense. But let's say someone writes a ship someone thinks is unhealthy, or a muse someone thinks is a bad person (depending on what that entails, etc. Like if someone's writing a bigoted muse, it might be worth looking into etc. But it really depends on the muse and their story. At least for me.), or even writes a topic that would be wrong if it was IRL. As long as that person is not forcing anyone to write XYZ with them, I don't personally see the need for a callout in that case. But this might be an unpopular opinion as well. Personally, I prefer to focus on callouts where someone is being prejudiced or disrespecting people's boundaries, etc. rather than "they wrote icky things or things I dislike." Now if someone tries to force someone else to write things they don't want to, in that case a callout would be warranted. Like if someone made me write incest or abuse or rape in a thread. Now if I agreed to write such topics that would be a different story, but since it's in my rules that I don't, due to how triggering they can be to others, I would expect that to be respected. But if someone else WANTS to write a thread about any of those topics, while I would not personally do so, I do respect their right to write about it if and only if, everyone who's writing it with them genuinely wants to explore such dark things. In my opinion, writing should be a safe place to explore everything and anything without any people being harmed. But if people are forced to write topics they don't want to, then real people are being harmed, and I would support any callouts of that nature. I hope I'm making some kind of sense. LOL. Netflix Avatar: the Last Airbender review

So, I just got around to watching ep 1 and I wanted to share my thoughts. I'll probably do this after each episode, but I am slow at watching things so this might take a while.

To make this more fair, I'll review the show as a seperate show and then review it as an avatar fan.

Maybe minor spoilers ahead so be aware!

As an individual show:

The context was repeated many times in different ways - it was a bit overkill but as "a new viewer" it makes the situation very clear

the genocide was such an emotional scene and very well done, but a little "convenient" (Aang leaving to clear his head at the perfect time and all the airbenders being in one location at the same moment that the fire nation arrives)

the characters seem cool maybe? Don't know much about them ~ yet

The bending looks epic

Overall a good and entertaining introduction episode, interested to see where this goes.

As an avatar fan

the intro sequence being done by Kyoshi is an interesting choice. I love Kyoshi as a character, but what is her relevance to Aang's story. If they wanted to do an avatar wouldn't Roku make more sense? Also the narration no longer being Katara reflects the changes of how important her role is to the story (will talk about more later)

No major complaints about the scenes at the air temple found the whole a great addition to the story.

Ok let's address Aang's flying. So first we can all agree that it goes against LOK lore. However, the other thing that bothers me is it is not clear when he needs a glider and when he doesn't. If he could fly why does he need a glider at all?

Now for the water tribe siblings! Let's start with Sokka. Some of his jokes were good some were meh... He is just kind of a jerk ~ which obviously is also the case in the animation ~ so I guess it depends on how the other episodes explore his character and develop his arc

Now for my poor girl Katara. They fail to show her complex character. We don't get any Katara sass or anger. All we get is caring Katara. There is not this duality that we usually see with her. She was also robbed of narrator and basically main or second main character to the show. The animation sets her up as the driving force of the show, now she's just kind of there. ~ Also I wanted to address everyone complaining about Katara's actress being the weakest. So first of all please don't send hate to Kiawentiio (I saw really awful comments under her instgram post which is really no ok) - I'm not saying your not allowed to think this, but maybe don't spam it under her posts. Next, I personally haven't had an issue with her acting so far, if anything the writing probably needs to be improved. And for anyone who says she can't show emotions go watch Anne with an E to see that she can act and the issues in the LA might be with directing (maybe I'm just biased because I love that show)

Aang is ok... his fear of responsibly shows but his goofiness is absent.

Now I am not the biggest Zuko stan ( don't get me wrong his character and arc is so well done in the animation he is just not my favourite), but I feel like he is the one character that I enjoy and have no complaints about so far in the LA

There’s something off with Iroh can’t really put it into words, but he just doesn’t have the same effect with the lines he delivers (this is only the first episode so I’ll have to see if it gets better)

Now, since I am largely a kataang blog ~ yes I am disappointed with the lack of penguin sledding but more in a sense that it removes Aang’s goofy behaviour. Then again, this isn't that big of a deal. Also I enjoyed the change of gyasto helping Aang out of the avatar state (it gives a different vibe but I’m not against it).

Overall, it is 100x better than the movie. Is it perfect? Not at all. So far,I think the main problem is that they tell instead of show. If you are able to detach it from the original (which is hard for me as you can probably tell from the review) and not think about what's missing it can be really enjoyable.

These are just my opinions. If you don't agree no need to hate or argue✨✨ (I hope this isn't an issue since it is not on Twitter)

Hey, I always seem to come to this blog whenever I have thoughts I need to share. So I was for the first time in a while getting existed and enjoying the content we're getting from louis at the awards since it felt like something new and different but that was short lived when I was reminded of how he's been treating us larries throughout the years. It's strange cause most of the time it's easier for me to ignore or move past the things Harry does mostly minor things (not like his silence on things or the people that he surrounds himself with) but it's so hard with louis and I'm not trying to start a fandom war of who's best or worse but it's because he always targets us in his social media outrage like out of everything and every rumor or controversy we're the worse thing and it bothers me to no end especially the way he does it, it feels very homophobic and not just a normal denial like most celebs do, some of whom have it just as bad with people speculating on their sexuality and their relationships being fake, especially when they have a bigger platform and are younger but they handle it better and without sounding homophobic, like there are worse people in the fandom or other fandoms but we're always the ones getting attached from the internet on one side and him the other. I know this was long so thank you for reading it till the end 💜

With Louis the highs are high, and the lows are low. It's been like that since 2012. I think people deal with it differently and it affects people differently. It's the same with Harry when he's going over the line of what people find acceptable. It impacts us differently.

I know why Louis is doing what he's doing. And i get why he's being so harsh about it and irrational. I think the blow would be harder for us fans actually if he wasn't acting as ridiculous as he is. It's so ridiculous and over the top that we can joke about it and agree that it is ridiculous and an overreaction. I also know he loves us larries and that he isn't homophobic. He's gay and in a relationship with a man. Louis' actions are forced upon him, perhaps not even done by him, while his hands are tied behind his back. He's being sabotaged. That doesn’t excuse what happened, but the circumstances are extenuating. I know his actions doesn’t reflect who he really is, because Larry is actually real.

My problem is opposite yours. I struggle more with Harry's actions. I don't know if it's because he's put himself on a pedestal of morality with his TPWK philosophy, and i therefore hold him to higher standards than i do Louis, or if it's because i struggle more with excusing him. With Louis i know the reason for his behaviour, i'm used to it by now, and i know not to take him seriously and get hurt by it. I still get hurt, but i move on. Either it's done out of insecurity or fear, or it's done by Sony to keep him down and seperate him from Harry (or both).

With Harry it's more about him acting privileged, inconsiderate and making decisions based on money. I can't as easily seperate those actions from his image as i can with Louis's actions from his image. Maybe i expect more of Harry, but he's also Sony's golden goose. I can't blame Sony, fear or insecurity for Harry's actions. Sony didn’t write his Grammy speech or tell him to lift the hammer of Isra*l. Same with the blackfa*e or no mask during Covid. That's ignorance, privilege and decidedly not treating people with kindness.

I agree that it's no use pitting them against each other and starting fandom wars. I think we must learn to respect that we're impacted differently, have different boundaries and have different coping mechanisms. We can still love them both equally, or have our favourites. It's all okay 🤎

Haha, no worries. I just have this thing where when you give me a character with no canon sexuality and/or gender identity (confirm your characters as allocishet with in the text, if you don’t want me to make them queer /hj) I will take them and run with what ever queer identity I feel like they are. There is no one who can stop me. If they are confirmed as queer, you can also bet on me making them even more queer. It just makes me happy and also I am low key unable to not see any and every little thing that I could read as somehow queer, as queer.

Kommissar Peters/Helmut Grevenbroich is just perfect in my humble opinion. (I think I first realised I shipped them when I watched the movie and they did them so dirty. Like they are supposed to be besties at least. Besties who kiss haha) Bennie/Felipe is also a good combination. Some jealousy over Franzi to later: wait… 😨😳 Adrian/Lola/Erik was just me going: They do theatre. They live in an apartment together. There is no way they are straight. Oh I´m 100% here for it. I never expected other people to actually be interested in this type of thing myself. (Seeing your post low key gave me the much needed energy to actually make this blog. Even though this had been something I wanted to make for way longer than even my D3F side blog.)

I also don’t have the time to read the books either if I’m being honest. (I wanna start it, but I don´t know when I´ll actually get around to reading them.) I just scraped the internet for every possible thing I could find about D3A a few months ago and made the discovery that Lina gets a girlfriend 🥺 Besides that I also found out that the dad of Kims boyfriend David has a life partner, but sadly he doesn´t actually appear and is just mentioned, since Davids parents are seperated. (I, as I said, will take what ever I get and run with it.)

And uhm yes! That’s my plan 😌 I have so many (queer) headcanons about them and I’m honestly so happy that there are actually people who would be interested in hearing them.

I honestly didn’t think anyone besides me was even thinking about writing fics for them, cause there really is barley any content for them online. (I have sworn to never venture onto TikTok, though apparently there are some people creating content for them there. And there is like one podcast I listen to, but it´s just very much not queer enough for my personal needs. /hj Hence why I just decided f* it, I´m sure there are people out there who want fan content (that is queer) for them. I mean I was looking through so much things just to find some fan content at all. Also re listing to them now that I´m older I´m just like this is way queerer than I remember and I will lean into that.)

Side tangent: I am low key putting a lot of hope into the show, cause it does seem like it’ll be good. (Listen I researched this for hours to find every single little thing there is to find about the show. They better deliver. 😭) There are non of the boyfriends in the show as it seems so I’m just hoping they will either give them girlfriends instead, or not have any romance, which also would be cool. [I will never shut up about this show once it airs. I already know it. They better hurry up. It´s supposed to come out this year if you trust the sources.]

Draft: A Flight in Winter

So I didn’t have anything planned for the holidays to write but I wanted to share something, so here’s a WIP I had regarding a certain ending for Enderal. It is, by no means, finished and I’m not sure if I will finish it. It’s a jumbled mess and in chunks but a mess I had plodding around my head for quite awhile. Lately, it’s been a struggle to find motivation to create but with this year closing I can try and push that aside and strive for future projects.

He heard it first; a bottle shattering against stone. Then a heavy thud of a body.

“What was that?” Sha’Rim raised his hands, aglow in crackling green light.

“Prophetess?” Aranthael turned to the noise.

Jespar followed then saw the crumpled body of their Prophetess behind them.  

“Lea!”

He reached her, falling to his knees and cradling her head. Something crunched beneath his knees. The remains of a delicate phial surrounded her like a halo.

Jespar blew hard on the whistle. The Myrad above roared in response and began its descent.  

The good thing about the Myrad Tower was that the platform had only one way up. But it was twofold. There was no escape either. Nehrimese soldiers noticed their presence and surged to them like an angry wave against the rock. They’d be forced to cone in but who knows how long until their sheer numbers overwhelmed them.  

“Fuck!” Tharael sprang to the top step and slashed away at the soldiers. “That thing better hurry the fuck up!”

Calia jumped in, broadsword in hand, and cleaved where Tharael’s twin blades couldn’t reach. Soldiers already pooled and piled down the stairs; others were knocked off entirely, plummeting into the street or ravine beneath the tower.

Jespar blew the whistle again, then grabbed Lea’s bow. He was better with throwing knives but there weren’t nearly enough for the fuckton of soldiers attacking them. Arrows sunk into a wood by his feet and he swung the supple bow towards the enemy archers. Even missed hits would still make them scatter if it meant buying more time.  

Finally, strong gusts of wind buffeted their backs until the myrad landed behind them with a heavy, wood splintering thud.

Jespar shouldered the bow, “Everyone up! Now!”

He picked up Lea and threw her on the myrad’s neck. Tharael was beside him in an instant and clambering up the myrad to secure her.  

“Keeper! Come on!” Jespar called to Calia who was still cleaving the soldiers. Enough bodies piled to make a small, waist high wall but still the soldiers clawed over their fallen comrades like animals. He could see the shadows flicker around her form. She heaved a final push against some soldiers with the flat of her blade, making them careen and flail back down the stairs. They only had a few precious seconds.

Jespar climbed on and took the helm. Lea’s body heavy against his back. Despite the hard fighting, her breathing was even and deep in sleep.

“Calia!”

What was she doing?! She stood, motionless, sword bloodied and slack in her hands.

“I-“

“Ark, Enderal, is lost! We stay here and we’ll die too!”

Jespar grit his teeth. The soldiers clambered to their feet. The Myrad shuffled restless beneath them and roared at the offenders. An arrow struck the myrad’s leg. A soldier reared back to strike Calia. An arrow sent the attacker reeling and shook the Keeper from her paralysis. Her savior was Tharael, taking over with Lea’s bow and a snarl on his face.

“For fuck’s sake, we will leave you behind!”

Calia finally scrambled on behind Tharael as the Myrad’s wings rose, then bore down with a mighty rush. Jespar hoped everyone clung on for dear life as the Myrad took off from the platform. He could hear someone below screaming, “Shoot them down!” but the arrows bounced off the feathery hide. For a terrible second, he could see sickly green light in the distance. The entropist.  But in a few, tense moments, they rose above the city.  

Then they headed west. West. And away.

This isn’t real.

There it was. That voice. But it was…her voice. She looked around the Golden Queen’s throne room. Nobles, mages, and eunich’s in silken garb filled the space, but, non spoke in the urgency that the voice, her voice, spoke.

You need to wake up.

“Why? What do you mean?”

One of the mages beside her with a golden piercing through his nose and an oily beard looked at her with furrowed brows. She shut her mouth and quickly turned away.

They can’t hear me. Only you.

“What do you want? Who are you?”

Lea spoke in hushed whispers, trying to act nonchalant as the party mulled around her. She lost sight of Jespar and it was a unique moment to herself not to be prodded with questions regarding Enderal.

Isn’t it obvious? I’m you. The real you.

Lea bolts upright; for a moment, all she heard were jumbled voices and a violet “rush” like waves crashing against rock.

Pain, white hot as the sun, flared through her entire body. Gods, she was on fire.

She screamed and screamed until her throat and lungs gave out.

Ever since.. 7 hours ago when I saw Mark’s first episode of fnaf security breach, i’ve now fallen in love with sun and moon. They’re psychotic, I love it. I want yandere hcs for both of them seperately or it can be like in the games where they kinda switch around.

Oh anon BIG SAME!! I just love the vibes the two give off (love me some silly but slightly unhinged characters) and I've mentioned this on my yandere blog, but Kellen killed it with the voice! Sunnydrop

• An extremely clingy yandere to the max. He's always vying for your attention because he love you oh so much! Whether it be calling out to you in order to show you something or, unfortunately, forcefully  dragging you around. Sunny only does the latter when nothing else is working for him. It's difficult to find time for yourself, honestly and more so when he refuses to be away from you for more than a few minutes. Literally attached to the hip with you.

• That being said, he loves physical affection! He takes any chance to hold, squeeze, tap, and just any form of touch when it comes to you. Personal boundaries,,, is something he tends to forget exist so there is that to worry about. You would have to remind him of such if you ever grow uncomfortable, which saddens him but he doesn't want to drive you away. That is one of his biggest fears; practically will become hysterical if that outcome were to prove his fears true.

• Because of this, he gets antsy when you hang out with others. He's truly holding back from shoving himself into the conversation and diverting you away from those people. He does get impulsive during these moments but he sometimes will think things through and make up very valid excuses to get your attention steer towards him at least. Slight chance he might manipulate/guilt trip you into spending more time with you. And example of his guilt tripping would be him crying to you that everyone seems to dislike him because of how he is and that you are the few genuine people to care for him. Will you leave him too? Sunnydrop does feel bad about it, but the results make him less guilty about it all.

• Sunnydrop has the tendency to take up all your time and distract you, especially if it's from people you know. If it's a hobby you enjoy, he'll definitely want to engage in it with you! He loves everything you do and would love it even more to learn your likes and dislikes to get closer to you. Absolutely, and unfortunately for you, will take certain actions/words the wrong way.

Moondrop

• Just as suffocating as Sunnydrop,,, but more of a controlling yandere. Like his counterpart, he is someone who follows the rules and wants them to be followed, but in contrast he is more forceful with them. Moondrop is all of Sunnydrop's pent up aggressions and emotions that he'd rather hide from you as he sees them as unpleasant.

• For Moondrop, it takes some time to gain feelings for you, but when it does happen you'll always have the feeling someone is watching you. In his own way, he's looking after you by making sure no one else tries to steal you from him. Basically, Moondrop is very possessive and it's only worse with his aggressive behavior. He doesn't like when people seem to be getting too close and will drive them away, maybe even warding them off enough for them to completely avoid you.

• Honestly though, he likes that idea; the fact that if you see that others are avoiding you may draw you to him. Moondrop is the type of yandere, even though acting hostile, thinks things through a little more than Sunnydrop does. He thinks of ways to get the chance to swipe you away and finally have you by his side. One method would be that he could make you pity him for how people perceive him as or another would be he simply just drives everyone away from you as said before. Either way, he's certainly a manipulative yandere with how crafty he is.

• In his mind, Moondrop 100% believes he knows what's best for you. Should you disagree... Well that just earns you a punishment for even trying to question things. Of course you need him! Why else would he have put so much effort into taking you? Obviously because you're meant to be taken care of and do not worry; he'll take good care of you. Now, since he is a rule enforcer, Moondrop has his own set of regulations for you to follow. Many of them, of course, would involve you not leaving his side or keeping away from others. Breaking the rules results in a penalty and you must atone for it since it's only fair. Rule breakers have to learn a lesson from their mistakes.

Sunnydrop/Moondrop

• Oh boy. Sunnydrop is fearful of Moondrop because he absolutely knows how he acts and again, he finds him unpleasant to deal with. Sunny would know after hearing the complaints from parents and employees. Which is why he is very very stern with his rule to keep the lights on with you. The two semi get along but they obviously have conflicts here and there when it comes to their objectives/methods.

• Moondrop on the other hand believes the other half is too soft and hesitant. Then there's also the fact that he deems Sunny too lenient with people/rules and thinks everyone will believe him as a pushover; something he absolutely hates. How can others know that you are theirs if he isn't truly pushing that fact at them? Those people need to be taught a lesson. He definitely knows what Sunnydrop is doing when he hasn't gotten a chance to hang out with you, which angers him immensely. He's tired of being casted to the side like he doesn't exist.

• Honestly, if there is a chance that the two come to an agreement, it's all over for you... The two have their own advantages and disadvantages, but equally are menaces in their own right. While Sunnydrop can keep you from ever leaving, Moondrop can make sure others steer clear. Trying to escape from them is anxiety inducing as well,,, though that is more so if Moon is the one chasing after you. Sunny will try to convince him to not be too harsh on you, but Moon can't promise much when he sees that being lenient won't teach you anything. You have to take full responsibility for your actions. If Sunnydrop is the one chasing you, he's more likely to make up excuses for your attempts to leave and blames himself sometimes too; promising he'll do better.

“Hah, that really the best you got?” he scoffs down at you, his calloused hands pinning you to the ground as his body cages you in for the umpteenth time

Honestly, its hard to fight when your 1) annoyed about loosing and 2) have your hot as hell boyfriend pining you to the ground

But thankfully

He was starting to overheat, his breathe coming out in low pants as  strands  of hair began sticking to his forehead

You felt one of his palms begin to slip ever so slightly near you, and on instinct you knew you had to do something, you finally had an opening-

so you caused a distraction 

Your hands quickly flew to the nape of his neck, pressing his head down to your so you could kiss him square on the lips

Bakugo was completely confused in the best way possible- he didnt expect that to happen, but hell, hes not complaining-

until his lips start to tingle

“-the hell?!” he sputters out, his mind trying to figure out what was going on just before you successfuly flip him over, with you now on top

You stared down triumphantly at your boyfriend, not knowing how well that worked- until you noticed how shiny Bakugo lips look

He begins mashing his lips together, trying to rub it off since you had his hands pinned down

“The hell is on my lips? Agh, dont tell me its that weird ass lip stuff that supposed to make your lips bigger or something-’’

Ummmmm how does he know about lip plumping lip gloss? Question for a another day-

“Its chapstick silly,” you giggle, “-cinnamon”

Honestly, he’s gonna like it-this boy likes spicy things and the fact that “spicy” sensation came from his s/o....shoooottttt he is in love

Started writing a bit and it got out of hand, I've been writing this for hours (seriously I started at like 4pm it's now 10:40pm), but anyway here's some advice and knowledge I've gained in the 5 years since I first awakened as fictionkin.

General advice

Research. Read people's personal essays. Spend some time going though otherkin websites, a lot of us have personal websites where we compile our writing and have resource lists and such.

The otherkin community can be traced back to the 70s. There's a lot of history. The claim that it started a few years ago on tumblr is bullshit, and we have records.

The questioning process does not end ever and it's always worth going over your kintypes and seeing if you still think they're kintypes.

Flickers are pretty common to experience, especially when you first get into a piece of media, and can very much seem like kintypes. They're temporary though.

Belief systems

While reincarnation is the explanation most often seen, it is not the only possible spiritual explanation and spiritual explanations are not the only way to be 'kin either.

You don't have to have one single explanation for all your kintypes. (One of my favourite otherkin tumblr blogs is someone who has psychological kintypes, a past life kintype, and a parallel life kintype)

As well as not all kintypes being past lives, not all past lives have enough influence on your current identity to be kintypes. (I can't speak for other people but when I figured out which of my fictional past lives weren't kintypes it felt revolutionary.)

There's insistence in some "kin" spaces that kin means relating to a character and that if you truly believe you are the character it's not a kintype. Which contradicts the most basic definition of 'kin.

Number of kintypes

There's no limit on how many kintypes someone can have, and if you have a lot, honestly it happens. But if you're regularly forgetting you have certain kintypes it's worth considering the possibility that perhaps they aren't kintypes.

If you only have one kintype that's also very typical (I have seen people worry about that)

Sourcemates and canonmates

The most important rule: Treat people as individuals, not as their kintypes.

Don't look for canonmates exclusively, chances are low you'll find them, even lower that you'll build a relationship with them. Reaching out to sourcemates can be worthwhile. I've made good friends doing that (including one of the mods here! Hi!)

There's a chance that someone could pretend to be your canonmate and use that to hurt you. If you do find yourself comparing canons with someone keep some information you have secret, this way if they say something that contradicts that, you know you aren't canonmates.

In my opinion "what species was x for you?" is a fun question, ie. Was Tubbo a goat, a dragon, a bee, or a bear. (The bear is not a joke one of my friends remembers his Tubbo being a bear.)

If you're comfortable, it can be so fun talking to doubles.

Problematic timelines

Having a problematic timeline does not make you a bad person you literally have no control over this.

Having a timeline where you were a bad person or did bad things also does not make you a bad person. (Please understand that in my mind I am staring intently my best friend right now and if he's reading this: I love you so much)

Don't push kintypes or suspected kintypes down you'll just make the feelings stronger until you can't deny them anymore (and be extremely stressed the whole time. And then for some of the things I did this with it turned out they weren't kintypes and that the effort of trying to force them away made em feel bigger than they were.)

Fictives:

Any alters can be fictionkin.

While Fictives and Fictionkin are seperate things, a Fictive who identifies as their source character fits the definition of 'kin and can be considered such if they wish. They can have the character they're a fictive of as a kintype for other reasons too.

Fictives can also have completely unrelated kintypes. I'm friends with dsmp fictives who have several mcyt kintypes and kintypes from other sources.

Incense of Desire

“This is… what?” You asked the woman with black hair. She huffed and rolled her emerald eyes before looking at you.

“For the third time, it’s an incense that’ll make your husband swoon over you. All you need to do is light it thirty minutes before he gets home and it’ll work wonders!” You don’t even remember how you’d gotten here, but this seemed pretty interesting. There wasn’t anything particularly wrong with your relationship, but to see a side like that seemed exciting nonetheless. It wasn’t costly either. You finally made up your mind and looked at the woman.

“Ok, I’ll buy some.”

Lan Sizhui:

You waited rather impatiently for Sizhui to get home. It had been thirty minutes since you’d lit the incense and it smelled great. It reminded you of roses… but also winter. It didn’t take long for you to hear the door open.

“I’m home!” A voice called out. Your nerves spiked, but you ignored them and put a smile on your face, running to the living room.

“Welcome home!” You gave your husband a hug and a kiss, letting him place his sword down. Recently, he and a few of his friends had been hearing of demonic activity not too far from where you lived. He’d usually be gone at least all day, but always returned at night, even though night was the best time to hunt demons.

“Dinner’s ready! I hope you didn’t eat this time.” He smiled and shook his head.

“No, I remembered. I love your cooking so I didn’t want to miss out on it again.” He sniffed around for a second, which made you a little nervous.

“It smells good. Really good!” He walked past you and you sighed in relief. What were you going to tell him anyway?

He quickly changed out of his clothes and into some clean ones, but when he returned he stopped and stared at you as you got the food ready. You looked back at him and smiled.

“Ah! Just in time, food’s ready.” He didn’t move or speak though, just silently watching your figure move throughout the kitchen. You looked back once more and titled your head. “Everything ok?”

He blinked and nodded before moving. However, instead of moving towards the food, he stopped directly in front of you. Before you could say anything, he’d trapped you against the wall.

“I… I’m sorry… I can’t help myself.” His lips quickly captured yours and you both forgot the food rather immediately.

Lan Jinyi:

“I’m home!” About time! You’d been waiting for well over thirty minutes and you were worried the incense would’ve started affecting you. However, the lady at the shop insisted and promised that it would only affect our husband. How she was so sure, you didn’t know. But you didn’t question it too much… until you were waiting for your husband to come home.

How were you so sure it wasn’t poisoned? The incense could’ve easily killed you and your husband would’ve come home to your corpse. Wasn’t that a bit reckless of you?

“Hey, there you are.” You jumped when you saw your husband’s face inches away from your own. “You ok? Normally, you always greet me when I come home.” You pushed a smile onto your face and nodded.

“I’m ok! I promise! Um… maybe we should go out for a walk!” You suggested, nervously giggling as you stood up. If the incense was indeed poisoned, it would be best to get away now. You’d already inhaled quite a bit of it but you were fine, for now. You’d get checked by a doctor later.

“Why? It’s late, besides didn’t you have a long day? Shouldn’t we just rest?” He asked as he tugged your arm, causing you to fall into his lap.

“Yeah, but I feel like going for a walk! Come on! Pleaseeee!” You said, giving him your best puppy dog eyes. Unable to say no to you, Jingyi nodded.

“Alright, sure.” However, when you tried to stand up, you couldn’t. There was something in his eyes, something you didn’t see often. You settled back in feeling that happy-go-lucky atmosphere melting away as a more intimate one set in. Jingyi leaned in, pulling you closer too. Your lips melded together perfectly and any need to leave the house was immediately quelled.

Jin Ling:

You were excited to see a new side to Jin Ling. The woman had promised there would be no negative side effects to the incense, so you had that assurance. Jin Ling was rather… difficult when it came to romance. Sure, he let you know he loved you on many occasions, but he would always be really shy about it. Sometimes he’d roll his eyes when he told you he loved you.

None of these hurt your feelings, he’d never let that happen. But to see him SWOON over you… that was something that excited you. The incense had been burning for about thirty minutes now and you were just waiting for Jin Ling to get home.

You heard the door open and perked up, trying to hide the mischievous smile on your face. You ran out of your bedroom to greet your husband, giving him a welcoming smile.

“Welcome home!” You giggled, jumping in his arms and giving him a kiss on the cheek. He caught you rather easily and moved to the side, placing the sword on it’s holder.

“Thank you, how were you today?”

“Good! I really missed you!” You pouted, making him huff as he set you down gently.

“Yeah well… I am pretty amazing so it makes sense.” You giggled and shook your head as he walked into the house. He smelled the air, stopping for a second as he felt his head spin. It smelled pretty good, but he’d never expected the incense to give him a headache.

“Are you ok?”

“Yeah… yeah, I’m ok.” He responded as you quickly poured him a cup of water. He took slow and steady sips before looking up at you as you took the cup from him.

“Don’t tell me you overworked yourself today. I told you not to.” He shook his head as his eyes trailed down your form.

“No… you just look really beautiful today.” You paused, feeling your cheeks heat up a little.

“O-oh, thank you.” Before you could even suggest anything, he reached out and gently let his finger brush against your cheek.

“Soft too, did you know your cheeks are soft? Sometimes, I just want to hold them. But then when we make eye contact, it makes my heart beat so fast I get dizzy.” Ok this was definitely the incense working, because Jin Ling wouldn’t just say that out of nowhere.

“I- well thank you. That’s very sweet of you.” You smiled, making him smile as well.

“Oh, now they’re warm. Are you blushing? Because it looks good on you.”

“The blush?” He nodded, leaning in before gently kissing your lips. It was almost tantalizing. Without much of a warning, Jin Ling pushed you down onto the sofa.

“I’m sorry-” He captured your lips once more and you’d never been more grateful for that new incense you bought.

Ouyang Zizhen:

Now why did you buy this incense exactly? There wasn’t anything lacking in your relationship. You’d asked the woman even more questions after you bought it and it was obvious she got annoyed. She still answered all of your questions thoroughly, which is why you were sitting here right now.

The incense had been burning for almost 45 minutes now and you kept thinking about why you’d bought it. Zizhen never hid his emotions from you, he was always rather lovey-dovey. He complimented you whenever he could, told you he loved you, and just showed his emotions often in general.

While you were thinking about opening the windows to get the smell out, the door opened and you heard your husband’s voice come through.

“I’m home!” Well… too late now. You fixed your hair and stood up, going to greet him.

“Welcome home! I missed you!” He smiled brightly as he gave you a hug, placing a kiss on your lips.

“It smells really good in here. Did you buy new incense?” You nodded immediately.

“I did! I thought it might’ve been too much so I was thinking about opening the windows up!” Zizhen shook his head at your words.

“No! It smells great! Wow, you look different. Did you… no your hair is the same, you’re just glowing today.” You blushed at his words, shaking your head.

“That’s sweet of you.”

“I mean it! You look really good today and-” His excitable mood stopped abruptly and you looked up at him, tilting your head.

“Yes?” He was silently staring at your lips, making no effort to move at all. “Are you o-” He interrupted your words with a deep, intense kiss. You couldn’t complain as he easily picked you up, letting you wrap your legs around his waist.

I think that he would be very supportive and not at all weirded out or confused as to why you are feeling this way

he may not completely understand what causes you to have these fears but he doesn‘t need to

I think that he generally has a rather hard time understanding other people‘s feeling but that does not mean that he thinks your feeling are not valid

a lot of people don‘t understand his feelings either but he knows that his feelings are still real and valid and that helps him accept other people‘s feelings too - because he knows that it goes both ways

although this might lead to him not asking about the reasons which might seem like he doesn‘t care at first

but I can assure you, he absolutely does care and if you pay attention you will notice

especially when it comes to social anxiety, he is very attentive

Wakatoshi doesn‘t want to act like you‘re made of glass but he still wants to support you

when he notices that you are struggling with something he waits and lets you try it by yourself

but he is prepared to step in and help if he needs to or if you ask him beforehand

Wakatoshi gives very realistic advice when you ask for it and will never treat you like a child or like you are incapable of something

just because you are struggling does not make you any bit less competent in his eyes

his way of supporting you is listening to you and making sure you stay healthy

since he doesn‘t know a lot about social anxiety he thinks it‘s best to do what you think would help

but if he sees you put things off or not taking care of yourself he steps in

he knows that physical health can really affect your mental health too so since he is basically an expert on that he is very happy to share his knowledge with you

when it comes to seperation anxiety I think he has had some issues with that when he was a child

of course it is different when you are a child and when you are an adult but he still tries to help

one of the first things he does is always make sure that before and after you two part he lets you know that he is thinking about you and how much you mean to him

it becomes sort of a ritual

if you have trouble breathing or calming down he‘ll try and help you with some breathing exercises or introduce you to meditations he thinks might help

he tries to be as available as his career allows

he knows that it does not help with your anxiety to have a boyfriend who is away or busy most of the time but he always thinks of new ways to remind you how much you mean to him

absolutely sends you pictures of cute things he sees from day to day that remind him of you, that he thinks you might enjoy

he isn‘t very good with phone calls but he will face time you when he is on trips (facetime just makes it a lot easier for him since he can see your face)

he will also try and write you letters

although he usually isn‘t quite sure what to say since he already tells you most of the things that happen on the phone it always gives him a warm feeling in his chest and he hopes it does the same for you

his father used to - and still does - write him letters, they always remind him of his father and his love for him whenever he sees and reads them

I think that while Aone may not neccessarily be anxious he can be socially awkward, especially since he rarely ever talks so he can relate to you to some extend

at the beginning he is a little lost and doesn‘t really know how to help you

the first thing that comes to mind is of course to do the things that make you anxious, if it is talking to a cashier or a waitor or something like that but like I said he has his own issues and he is a little bit worried that he would embarrass you or make the situation worse

especially since oftentimes people will look at whoever he is with for help or clarification if they can‘t understand him

his love language is very much physical touch so instead, if it is okay with you, he will hold your hand or softly rub a hand over your back

he also has no problem hugging and holding you in public if that makes you feel better

if not, he is also ready to give you all the space that you need

does not hesitate to help you get out of an uncomfortable situation, get you outside where it is quieter and calmer so you can get some fresh air and hopefully relax a little bit

what Aone finds helps him with any anxieties that he might have is to have a set goal in mind and work towards that, it makes him feel less lost and like he has a purpose

he regularly asks you what social struggles you had that day and helps you keep track of both your goals and all of your accomplishments so far

usually he just listens to you talk about it which can be very helpful since it gives you the opportunity to think out loud and figure some things out on your own without being interrupted

but he also praises you and acknowledges your achievements

Aone knows how easy it is to overlook your own success so he makes sure to remind you of just how far you‘ve already come

when it comes to your separation anxiety his way of helping you with it is by reassuring you again and again, in his own little ways

he is not the best when it comes to big romantic gestures but he has a lot of small ones

Aone has a little bit of a hard time realizing when you are feeling down so to make sure that he gives you enough reassurance and love he slowly develops a routine

when you two move in together he will most likely wake up before you because of his work

Aone always makes you breakfast, either ready to eat at home or as a lunchbox, whichever you need or prefer

always careful when preparing it, he wants it to look cute for you

he pairs that with a little note but sometimes he just can‘t find the right words so he will usually doodle something on there

he is not very good at it but his little turtles or butterflies or whatever he drew for you are always heartwarmingly sweet

when he comes home from work he will always tell you how much he missed you (which he did!) and how happy he is to be with you again

he always asks you about your day and how you are feeling

like I said, his love language is touch so he will be all over you, strong arms hugging you, careful lips kissing you, all that good stuff

everytime that he comes home, without fail he will take your hand, kiss your forehead and hold you close for a bit

he just loves being close to you and he hopes that it might help calm you too

when you go to bed he loves to cuddle with you, having you close makes him feel safe and loved

though he tries his best to reassure you when he is home he does have a hard time doing that when you two are apart - he just can‘t find the right words to send you over text or to say to you on the phone

he doesn‘t have a lot of experience or knowledge about separation anxiety and he can only go so far

much like Ushijima he tries to give you things that might help reassure you when he is away - his doodles, small keychains, flowers - but he really does better with showing his affection in person

of course he does what you tell him might help too, but if it gets too bad and starts to really affect your daily life and overall mental health he would ask you to see a professional who can actually help you

he will still be with you every step of the way

but he hates feeling helpless and not knowing what to do to help the ones that he loves - he wants you to get better

Let's first address the big elephant in the room: Photography..（・∀・）

Since the both of you love photography,, I can most *definitely* imagine you two taking pictures of scenery found in the manor..

As well as *some* of the silly things that happen outside of matches.. Although,, it's more on your end than Joseph's..

However,, I must also remind you that you WILL be bombarded with questions partaining to your "equipment"..(｡･ω･｡)

Whether it'd be a modern HD camera or your smartphone,, it's safe to assume that Joseph will be VERY much curious about these "equipment" that you have brought from the "future" ((even though we call it anything *but* from the future..))

"Are you telling me that this camera of yours can capture pictures instantly??? With just a simple press of a button??? Then, does that mean you won't have to stand for long periods of time to take your picture???"

((Fun fact: the first cameras that were patented require you to stand for long periods of time to take your picture which explains why plenty of the pictures during the Victorian Era were people staying in one position like standing..))

"This "smartphone" can ALSO capture pictures?? Would you mind showing me how, ma chérie??"

Joseph is quite astonished when you told him one time that photos can be tweaked from your time period..

Now, on one hand,, he is amused as he sometimes *does* struggle with getting the perfect picture when the environment around him just isn't having it..

But he also can't fathom the idea of people actually editing their photos so much that sometimes,, the unedited version looks far too different than the edited version...

When I say that,, I specifically mean people who probably use photoshop just a *bit* too much..(^_^;)

Not that there is anything wrong about it as everyone knows.. After all,, sometimes we just use it solely for entertainment by making weird, abstract collages of people..

((Like photoshopping a bunch of characters from different fandoms to make some sort of crack-crossover movie poster..╮(─▽─)╭))

It just that Joseph prefers less edited photos as he believes that a photo can shine on it's own when it's taken skillfully..

((Another fun fact: Based from what I can gather, the French in the 1800s preferred a more natural look, which is evident by their choices in makeup like powder for the face or some simple rouge for the lips and cheeks.. Of course,, we are excluding the hair as we all know that big, elaborate wigs were all the rage in this era..))

In fact,, he might even throw a *little* shade towards photos that are super edited...(◎_◎;)

Pls tell him to calm down and not insult people who do something similar to that.. It'll only escelate and get worse in the future..

Okay,, now that we've discussed those, I think we shall head on over to other things, don't you think??（・∀・）

Another reason as to why I paired you with Joseph is because of your upbeat and loving energy!!（〜^∇^)〜🧡

Joseph's life before the manor was already pretty gloomy, and it hasn't really improved when he got into the manor..

All that's left is a situation where someone insulted/bullied/harassed another person just for editing their photos a bit too much..

And when you put it like that,, wouldn't you agree that it sounds idiotic? Because in all honesty, it is..(¬_¬) After all,, those photos won't be affecting you much in the long run now,, would they??

And even if you said that you did it with good intentions, the way you acted upon these "intentions" was poorly done when it could've been handled *much* more efficiently...

Hiiiiii I know you've been bombarded with Roose meta questions recently but I'm writing a fic and having an INSANELY tough time writing Roose in a way that feels accurate or true to character. So I decided to consult the expert. What do you think Roose would be like as a husband? Because I keep slanting towards writing him like Stannis: cold, impartial, not affectionate, awkward, and emotionally repressed to the point of breaking his jaw from clenching if his wife were to initiate physical contact. But that doesn't feel right. I know you recently did an ask on whether or not Roose would be physically affectionate, but as a husband in general...idk I can't tell. It seems like he might have abused Bethany Ryswell, but Walda seems to be getting along just fine, sans Ramsay. Do you think he'd be emotionally open at all? Confide in his wife if he knew she was smart? Would he sleep together, or separate? Would he think of her as his property, or physically abuse her? I don't have a solid enough grasp on Roose to answer any of that in a way that makes sense 😭 sorry for how long and contrived this ask is omg. You do gods work on this blog💖

You mean well, but it is a bit tiring to get asked so many questions to aid your fic writing (with anons i can also not tell how many were sent by the same person) - the sort of meta answers i do sometimes take me hours to write, and you asked a lot of stuff which would demand me to analyze not only several character relations/traits but also stuff about medieval society/westerosi worldbuilding...

I will try to answer some of the questions in a shorter manner:

1. It does not appear that Roose knowingly abuses his wives (as in, he would not treat them badly intentionally). Marriages are made for political alliances, and he knows the importance of keeping the person involved in positive spirits as to not harm this alliance. We see for example how he offers Theon (as Reek) fresh clothing as a show of goodwill because Theon as the heir to the Iron Islands is an important ally, and he berates Ramsay for threatening cruelty to Barbrey. Barbrey also lets Theon know Roose isn't happy with how Ramsay treats Jeyne. His current wife Walda is usually depicted as trusting her husband and having positive feelings towards her marriage.

Ramsay's face darkened. "If I cut off her teats and feed them to my girls, will she abide me then? Will she abide me if I strip off her skin to make myself a pair of boots?" - "Unlikely. Roose knows to treat his allies politely, and would thus treat a wife with the standard courtesy worthy of a woman of her status. He would not want to make her despise him, because this could have a bad effect on his alliance with her house.

2. However, this does not mean Bethany or the first wife was happy with him. When he talks about Bethany, he doesn't use her name, calling her only his "second wife"; reflecting that he likely was not close with her and sees her more as property. He is a cold man, closed off and callous, and is not conventionally attractive either (usually described as "plain"), so while he would have acted in a courteous way towards Bethany there was likely little attraction, warmth or friendship between them, and she would have probably not enjoyed spending time with him much. We have too little info to tell anything in-depth about their relationship, but it could have been abusive towards Bethany, or they could have had a relationship more akin to distant coworkers.

3. Walda is depicted as having positive feelings towards him, and he states he is "oddly fond" of her. Walda is funny with an occasional mean streak, which could match with his own mean sense of humour. She is also a little bold and cheeky. Considering that Roose is also good friends with Barbrey, who is bold and headstrong, it appears he finds women with those traits sympathetic/amusing. In a medieval society, women are inherently less powerful; so he can find it charming if they are bold since it does not threaten him the way it would if a man did it. However, the woman needs to know her place, and it seems likely he would not be amused at all if he was personally insulted or the woman tried to rise above her station. If a woman was meek or boring or closed off he would probably just be courteous, but not be very interested in her.

4. He would likely sleep in seperate beds with his wife a lot of the time (this appears common in the asoiaf world, for example Catelyn also has her own bedchambers), though how often exactly that is likely depends on how close he is to her. We have a line implying he spent the night in the same room as Walda as they enter the Great Hall together, though they could have also just linked up before entering.

5. He appears to counsel with Barbrey frequently in aDwD, so if his wife was a strong/smart ally with a lot of experience that he can respect, i can imagine that he would talk about important stuff with her especially when it comes to organizing the castle (which is a duty the wife traditionally shares). I do not think he would emotionally confide in his wife, both because of his general closed-off personality and because of patriarchal values that would demand a man act stronger than the woman at all times.

If you write from the perspective of the wife, try to read how he interacts with Barbrey, Catelyn and by extension Jaime to see how he interacts both with highborn women and nobles of his status. In my past meta i detail some more of his character traits.

Once again the fandom coming together to daydream about Mickey helping Ian out and seeing him back on track to become an emt again but why is that on Mickey? Why does he always have to do things to make Ian happy when Ian's usually nothing but annoyed by Mickey and does nothing to make Mickey happy? Truly shows which character y'all care about more.

This got absurdly long, because I am who I am and did take the opportunity to go off on a tangent about valid conclusions and what not, so I put it under a cut. Read at your own risk! Oh, and I also do address the actual question about whether or not Ian's career is on Mickey, and whether or not Ian never does anything to make Mickey happy. ;)

And I gotta say, nonnie, getting this ask perplexed me to the point of running off to Trusted Fandom Friends, demanding to know how my undying love and loyalty for Mickey could ever be doubted. Had to laugh at myself a little, actually, and the strenght of my befuddlement. It reminded me of the time I went on a trip with people from the 501st (cosplayers dedicated to the bad guys in Star Wars) and Rebel Legion (cosplayers dedicated to the good guys in Star Wars) and a lot of people assumed I was a Rebel sympathizer simply because I had friends in that group and those were the people who had invited me. Excuse me, I didn't yell, I have like 30 Darth Vaders in my damned home, how dare you question my allegiance? I was so used to always being known as a diehard Vaderkin fangirl that the mer fact of strangers failing to recognize me as such genuinely fucked a little with my sense of identity. My love of Mickey isn't anywhere near as deeply ingrained into my sense of self, since he's only been an occasional presence in my life since 2016 while Darth Vader's been my main man since 1994, but it was still a little jarring to suddenly find myself (mis)identified as an Ian stan.

Being a fangirl is strange.

And I want to make it clear that I do love Ian. He's a fascinating character and, to me, he's a character that's often much harder to understand than Mickey. He rewards careful analysis and discussion, though, so I guess I tend to talk a lot about him? I don't need to spend as much time considering Mickey's feelings and motivations because they are (almost) always pretty obvious; I don't need to tease them out. But at the end of the day, Mickey is my favourite. (Though I'll always love Ian and Mickey together more than I love either of them on their own. It's like fresh cilantro and mint – each perfectly lovely in their own right, but the combination of them creates a flavour that's just out of this world.)

Now, you might argue that you don't follow me and so have no idea who I am and what I like to post about, and that going only by that single post (which, in fairness, was tagged with 'i just want ian to be happy okay?') I give off the general impression of an Ian stan. And that's fair enough; I'm an obscure blog in a decently big fandom and you're not required to keep track of anyone. However, if you want to throw around passive aggressive accusations of caring more about one character than the other, I will ask you to do your research first. Reacting to one single piece of data without considering the context is a common but highly unfortunate practice that needlessly complicates meaningful conversations, and we'd all do well to abstain from it.

Oh, you don't want to spend a lot of time and energy on consdering every single thing a specific Tumblr blog has ever said on a specific topic just so you can draw a valid conclusion about their stance? That's perfectly understandable, nonnie, and easily sorted: refrain from making unsubstantiated claims about what other people think or don't think and you won't have to. Ask them, if you wonder. If you see a tendency in fandom to put the responsibility for Ian's wellbeing and career or Mickey's shoulders and want to discuss that, that's totally cool! I am game (and will address that question below)! But it's very possible to do that without somewhat rudely ascribing perferences and opinions to other people, and you'll get better answers for it (for instance, you won't have to wade through me rambling on about valid conclusions and my memories from other fandoms... ).

It seems to me, though, that this touches upon a long-held frustration of yours. If I interpret your ask correctly, you think the show gives us an Ian who is mostly annoyed with Mickey and doesn't do anything to make him happy, and you think that the fandom responds to this by relegating Mickey to the role of Ian's caretaker, whose sole purpose is to serve Ian's needs without any regard for what might Mickey himself happy. Have I got that right?

If so, it should be noted that I don't agree with either of these takes: I don't think that's the Ian the show gives us (a point I will return to below), and I don't think that fandom at large only cares about Ian's happiness, and I particularly don't think that my post can be used a evidence of the latter.

For instance, when you sent me this ask the post in question had all of 40 notes. As I write this, it has just over 70. ”The fandom coming together” seems to be slightly overstating the case, don't you think? There are certainly fans who care more about Ian and only see Mickey as valuable as long as he contributes to Ian's happiness, just as there are fans who care more about Mickey and only see Ian as valuable as long as he contributes to Mickey's happiness - but this single post with less than a hundred notes does not support that either of these stances would be predominant within the fandom. (And, while on the topic, I'd like to state that I don't actually see a problem with either of those stances; these are fictional characters that exists for our entertainment and we don't have any moral obligations to treat them equally and fairly. Don't ruin other fans' fun by dumping on either of them in the character or shipping tags or on character and shipping posts and this is not a problem. It might be a somewhat unpopular opinion, but I don't think you have to love or even like all characters in a ship to ship it: I refuse to drink plain tea because it's nasty but put a splash of milk in it and its my favourite thing ever. You can love a combination without loving all the seperate pieces on their own. And yeah, I do revert to food metaphors a lot. I like food.)

Secondly, whether or not the post can be said to represent the feeling of the fandom at large (it cannot), I think that reading a post specifically about ”Mickey helping Ian out and seeing him back on track to become an emt again” and then extrapolating from that that Mickey ”always have to do things to make Ian happy” is a little wild. The very first thing I wrote for this fandom was a vision of Ian offering Mickey comfort, goddammit. (Ian giving Mickey a hug is so high on my list of desires, you can't even imagine)

As for your actual question (and, ah, imagine how much shorter this post would be if you had just left it at that) – of course that's not on Mickey. That much, incidentally, I've actually explicitly stated in another post. Ian might have his issues but he's still an adult and responsible for himself. That being said, I don't see it as particularly strange that someone would go out of their way to help their partner when they see them struggling? If I realize that someone I care about is unhappy and there's a way for me to help, I would want to help because I love them and want them to be happy, even if it's – ethically speaking – not my responsibility to do so. Pretty sure Mickey, who is action-oriented and so very protective of the people he loves, feels the same way.

Of course, if it's a one-sided thing – if one partner is always the one to do stuff for the other and never receives any support in return – that's not a healthy relationship, and I assume that this is what you're seeing in the show and taking exception to?

Only... I can't help but wonder who this Ian is, this uncaring, selfish version you see – because I don't quite get how it can be the Ian who emptied his bank account for Mickey, or the Ian who was ready to throw his parole and stay in prison for Mickey even when they were in the middle of a fight specifically because Mickey said it would make him happy, or the one who kept trying to talk to Mickey and win him back after Mickey punched him in the face, accidentally broke his leg, and took off with a new lover (I'm not taking sides in this one, btw – I have a lot of sympathy and understanding for both of them and their actions throughout this whole sorry affair), or the Ian who immediately wanted to marry Mickey protect him from the consequences of a murder Ian thought he had actually comitted, or the Ian who went along with arranging a real wedding even though he initially didn't at all understand why this was important to Mickey and who had someone come serenade him once he did, or the Ian who chose At last for Mickey to walk up to the aisle to, or the Ian who keeps trying to reach out to Mickey and to touch him and discuss their issues in a mature way even when he's (justifiably) upset about Mickey using all their wedding money without telling Ian. (Though Ian deciding for both of them that they're saving the money isn't great either.)

I mean, Ian's absolutely done shitty things, as has Mickey. They're human, and they're the products of a chaotic and often hostile enviroment. They do mess up a lot; they've hurt each other rather badly over the years. Depending on your perspective and preferences, you may think one or the other have behaved worse, but as far as I can see, the claim that Ian never does anything to make Mickey happy is simply not supported.

Ian has seemed unusually annoyed with Mickey this season, I'll give you that, but while that's not always the most fun thing to watch and I strongly sympathize with the wish to just see Ian look at Mickey with that fond look again, I don't find him being frustrated right now all that weird, given the circumstances. I'd argue it has less to do with Mickey and more to do with a general frustration over thwarted ambitions and not being able to hold on even to a really shitty job, though Mickey's attitude doesn’t exactly help (which is not to say that I think that Ian's the one in the right here, becasue Ian's way of handling things hasn't always been been stellar either). However, I do have faith in them sorting this out – because even though they fight and bicker and get annoyed with each other, there's never any indication that they're not both committed to making this marriage thing work. They certainly stumble, they misunderstand each other and lash out, but they calm down and go to sleep in the same bed and compromise and keep trying. Every day, they – both of them – choose each other.

I'd like to finish this off by noting, even though it's not entirely relevant to my argument, that that the number one thing that does make Mickey happy is being together with Ian, and even when Ian is pissed at Mickey and withholding sex (which was very ill-advised but says a lot of interesting things about his character, I think!) no one's sleeping on the couch, there are no nights away from the house and each other, and even in the middle of an argument they sit and stand next to each other. I think that's pretty telling of Ian's dedication, especially given his propensity for running away from his problems.

Phew. Okay, nonnie – though we don't agree and I doubt you'll find this answer satisfactory, I hope you see that I have done my best to understand your point of view and treat your arguments fairly and give you a thoughtful response.
