Okay, I promised a writeup of Luo Binghe voter fraud meme, and as Luo Binghe is currently in the finals of the poll this happened on, I figure now's a good time.

So! It all started when Luo Binghe, our beloved half-demon child, was submitted to @/hybrid-battle tournament - or rather, as it was called at the time, @half-being-battle. He won his first poll easily enough, but round 2 was a close battle where he and his opponent, Shantae from eponymous game, took the lead from one another a few times.

In the last ~12 hours, Binghe was losing slightly after a popular blog rb'd the poll with a call to vote for Shantae. However, SVSSS fandom caught this in time and passed the poll around some more. The poll ended with Luo Binghe winning with 51% of votes - or, as simple calculation will reveal, 14 votes lead.

We breathed out a collective sigh of relief, but too soon - as half a day later, someone sent this ask:

Initially the pollrunner wasn't intending to do anything about it, but then someone suggested a teamup option, and the poll for the option was made (x). It was rb'd by some SVSSS fans with the general sentiment of 'free our boy he did nothing wrong', but didn't gain real traction until:

@gaywarcriminals reblogged it with a small rant in Binghe's defense

@piosplayhouse rb'd said rant with addition of the image from vol.3 cover, of Shen Qingqiu holding Luo Binghe's hand, edited to look like SQQ is the one saying the text above.

This version of the post was circulated in fandom overnight, leading to 'Luo Binghe moves on alone' option winning by a large margin - and, ofc, to the birth of "Luo Binghe voter fraud" meme.

Though aside from this particular post being funny, there was another factor contributing to the meme catching on: how damn in-character it all was. The following sentiments were all repeated more than once in the post's notes:

Luo Binghe getting accused of crimes he didn't commit? Omg just like in canon!

Shen Yuan would absolutely buy bots to get his most beloved blorbo to win an internet poll.

It's just Luo Binghe's protagonist halo!

All of which made the situation fucking hilarious.

Then, the next day, tumblr user verycharismaticdragon (whoever they might be 😉) made some fanart about it, which possibly aided the spread of the meme too.

Also, SVSSS fandom surprised the mod with our chillness 😅

Since then, Binghe has been going strong in that poll - and now, he's in the finals! So make sure to vote for him; as we all know now, the real voter fraud is the friends we made along the way. But wait! There was also another layer to the voter fraud iceberg. The tl;dr:

At about the same time Luo Binghe vs Shantae ended, Hua Cheng was losing in round 1 of @/the-ghost-bracket, with something like 39% of votes to his name. In a desperate move, I linked his poll under my bingqiu voter fraud art, which gave him a boost to get close to a tie, but didnt flip the poll. The next day, I was explaining the LBH voter fraud meme to my friends, and mentioned Hua Cheng's poll too - which was when inspiration struck me, resulting in...

this post. This takes place after Trials of Apollo,

So, Apollo fell into Chaos, Chaos is powerful af everyone fears her (INCLUDING ZUES!) and Apollo survived.

If you haven't seen the headcanons for Apollo after ToA i recommend going to them.

So, There's this headcanon that Apollo is on primordial strength at times because of Chaos. And that's because he never "fully" transitioned back because he was in Chaos when he did, some days he'd be mortal, some, godly, some days, primordial.

I want to add to that

Apollo kids inherit that primordial strength from him. For example, Kayla's using the shooting arena thing, and hits all bullseye in seconds, Austin plays a song, everyone is weirdly intranced and basically hypnotised.

This headcanon HAS a possibility of being true.

During the The Sun and the Star Will eats a concerning amount of Ambrosia, now this could mean two things

One: Mark has forgotten about the limits of ambrosia

Two: Divine power

Its probably one but two fits with what im talking about.

Will has went through a lot of pain, and he...kind of barely registers the actual pain scale a lot of the time?

Dont forget about the hay fever he sent to nyx (if you want more info on that i made a hc about it) He should've been drained, it takes a lot of power to send a primordial goddess hay hever, but no it didnt, in fact he was almost energised in tartarus fighting monsters and being weakened by the lack of sunlight and he was energised.

In my headcanon i said more about the power scale, so yes, this could mean he's powerful...but at the same time, it could also mean he had divine power, yes demigods have divine power. i meant power on par with the gods. now this is a bit of a stretch, but that isnt normal, even for a demigod. So i want to Headcanon.

That with Apollos fondness for Will especially he may have accidentally given him divine power, Apollo is fond of all his kids, but especially Will.

Will doesn't notice it, but Nico does,

At first Nico thought this was Will after tartarus, becoming a bit more stronger. Then it kinda got a point and Nico asked Will about it. Will hasn't realised anything, i mean sure he questions it from time to time but never actually, done anything about it.

So they go to test it out, to see if they were correct. and strangely enough it doesnt work. weird. Then one day, lets say their on a small quest and Will just gets really powerful out of no where (by powerful i mean he can heal and stuff in seconds), that raised their suspicions. They thought it might have something to do with Apollo, but he isnt primordial, (i don't think Apollo told them about Chaos) I also think Chiron knew about what happened with Apollo (i may have to re-read ToA about that) So when he sees Apollo kids acting up and becoming just an ounce more powerful he doesnt raise questions, thought what does bug them is how Apollos "new found strength" goes to his children.

BUT THERE IS A LIMIT. because, i am not going to say "apollo kids are stronger than big 3 kids :D!!!" because- thats just wild. possible, but wild. It only happens when Apollo is primordial, (as i said for him having a more fondness towards Will, Will may have it as "permanent" though thats a stretch) And the powers can seriously fucking drain a body, because even if your a demigod, suddenly having god-like powers that do not fit with your body can drain you. like if a mortal tried to comprehend monsters and stuff that do not belong in their world, its weird and confusing and may cause someone to go crazy. think like that but for a demigod. suddenly having godly powers can really drain you, as it is not fit for your body.

random badeni hcs because i cannot form a normal thought abt this show (this was supposed to include several characters but i got carried away with badeni) (english isnt my first language so pls pardon some faulty grammar) (also pls excuse the messy writing, these are just stuff ive jotted down)

Badeni:

• probably hyperlexic and learned to read at an early age

• used to be ramble a lot when he was younger. he liked to monolouge about random things he found interesting. his ramblings were about things that kids his age didnt care about (which consequently led to some struggles with his social life early on). he mostly yapped about poems/stories he read, but he also talked about the symbolism of a flower he picked, or the name of a random rock that looked cool

• used to be sweet kid :( he smiled alot and was joyful back then

• didnt like that certain things were the way they were, and there was no further explanation to it. why did you have to follow a certain unreasonable rule at school? why was it rude to interrupt someone while talking? he constantly questioned and asked why, which led to many people disliking him. he eventually learned to question internally instead of expressing them out loud.

•gets so fixated while researching/reading and can even continue so several days in a row. The only times he stops is when someone (usually grabowski, and later oczy) checks up on him, and then he realizes that he’s at the verge of passing out

• meaning that he tends to forget his needs and has to be reminded to hydrate, sleep, etc.

• would absolutely lose it over a hug. he’s definitely touched-starved. bonus points if someone plays with his hair :( (not that he would just let anyone do so)

• he opened up to oczy and jolenta over time. he let jolenta braid his hair, and he told oczy about certain academic knowledge he didnt know about (it was his way to show appreciation)

• has a habit to pace around. a complex equation requiring much thought? he paces around. someone spewing illogical, stupid yap? he paces. if he needs some time to unwind? he paces. sometimes, when either oczy or grabowski checks up on him, they see him just walking in circles while tugging his finger around his chin ( like the thinking pose) and he sometimes talks with himself too.

• he would be a bassist in a modern band au; he might appear withdrawn and aloof, but this guy would be willing to take the spotlight anytime (i mean, have you seen some of those bass solos? they slap. literally)

• in a modern au, he’d probably be very conservative about listening to music: his taste would only consist of classical music, refusing to listen to anything else due to classical being “objectively better” because he says so. until oczy came and introduced him to indie, rock, pop, etc. at first he denied the appeal of it, but later he caught himself listening to them out of curiousity and ended up liking it. when confronted about it, he’d just say that it was nothing special while bopping his head to the beat.

• modern au badeni would be so skeptical and frustrated over social media. He doesnt like the nature of it; posting appealing things with little to no further information about it and the blantantly obvious lies and traps people fall for. it was mind-boggling to him. What do you mean that people base their opinions on short form content, when to be able to gauge the reality of certain topics, one would have to research beyond snippets of information? What do you mean that people consciously lie about a product’s effects for the sake of profit? The truth being somewhat obscure wouldnt sit right with him. The only reason he’d ever download such an app would be watch cat videos

• speaking of which, he’d 100% be a cat person. if he sees a random stray cat, he’ll go all pspspspspsp and hug and cuddle with it :) (making sure no one he knows sees him, though). he would own a cat that he would spoil :)

•badeni would wear a type of perfume that smells like a combination of violets and musk (im no expert in perfumery), and it would blend with the scent of books due to him being around them most of the time. but he usually doesnt bother wearing perfume--only on rare occasions where he has to present himself well. in fact, he finds perfumes to obstruct his sense of smell (he does have a strong sense, after all. remember when he called out oczy for reeking of blood?)

• due to his poor eyesight, either grabowski or oczy gave him a description about things that were hard for him to see, such as things from afar, or some small object.

I'm bored so heres a list of underrated, obscure and somewhat forgotten Punch Out characters in my opinion :p (including characters outside of the games)

I never see anyone talk abt the Challenger from the original arcade games + arm wrestling but I kinda get why, theres not a lot too him and Little Mac is just a better protagonist in general. Its kinda neat he did get referenced as a smash bros skin tho.

Piston Hurricane is another one of the first characters from Punch Out and I dont see him get any attention either even tho hes kinda neat :[ (Piston Honda is superior tho hehe)

Considering how big punch out is on its stereotypes, I'm shocked they never brought back Pizza Pasta and turned him into a major Italian or even mafia stereotype but maybe its best they didnt.

More of an honorable and debatable mention but I dont see content based on Kid Quick either. But to be fair, Disco Kid is a revamp of him so I guess I can understand why kid quick doesnt get a lot of content himself.

Moving onto the spinoff game, anyone from Arm Wrestling who isn't "Mask X" or Alice & Ape III are very obscure. No fanart or hcs r anything abt these dudes, not even of the supposedly deleted character found in the files of the game. I feel like a character like Texas Mac could have such a personality, sucks that they'll likely never appear again in any future installments. :/

This one really disappoints me but Bob Charlie (wow i wonder who this character is based off of) barley gets any recognition either. I really fw his character and the few fanarts I've found of him r great but sadly a lot of characters from SNES Punch Out arent as noticed compared to say, anyone featured in Punch Out for the NES or Wii. I've seen someone say he was also apart of being revamped into Disco Kid but i couldnt find any source or evidence behind that besides the two having rhythm quotes.

Masked Muscle is another cool character that I dont see anyone talk abt or ever get referenced after Super Punch Out. I really like his mechanics and i like his luchador design too, but hes on the more underrated side of fan favorites from what I've seen.

Not a whole lot to say other than Mad Clown is just another obscure character from SNES Punch Out. I dont have a whole not to say other than its kind of funny that on the Punch Out wiki in the stereotypes category, he gets listed with clown stereotypes rather than racial ones (mostly.)

Hoy Quarlow is too underrated in my opinion. Motherfucker brings staff into the ring and no one bats an eye, he was THE Aran Ryan before Aran Ryan got revamped into being insane. If we ever get a sequel to Punch Out for the Wii or simply just another game, it would be great to see this prick again.

Finishing the SNES installment, the Bruiser twins dont get talked about a lot either. I've definitely seen some art and takes on them b but their also very obscure leaning. Again, they dont have a whole lot going on for their characters but idk, theyve grown on me since I got into the games.

Any "characters" that never appeared in the games but rather in outside media like the comics or ads are extremely obscure and id argue there's only one actually good character, but I'll get to him at the end.

I have no idea who the blonde guy is on this cover. My only guess for the time could have been Glass Joe but this was for the Super Punch Out arcade game, which he never appeared in. I'd honestly dig to hear some theories or hcs on who this guy is. (Also isn't the guy on the far left supposed to be Dragon Chan? Why does he have a Japanese bandana even tho hes from Hong Kong? Piston Honda didn't exist until 2 years later after this ad so it cant be him either.)

Vonnie and Reg only appeared in one of the Nintendo System Comics, specifically the issue Fox and Hounds. The system comics arent exactly the greatest but I kinda liked these two characters despite them both not having a whole whole lot of personality. In a way I kinda wish there was more content with them, especially of Vonnie. I oddly liked her character and I have a lot of hcs for her :D

Finally, GUSHIKEN THE KANGAROO FROM THE PUNCH OUT MANGA IN THE MORE UNDERRATED YET PEAK CHARACTER IN FICTION. PLEASE NINTENDO DO MORE WITH THIS CHARACTER, PLEASE IM BEGGING. /hj

Wow… I’ve been fixated on IZ and ZaDr for a year? That sounds krazy.

So, how did I get into IZ? Well, I had actually discovered the show’s existence when I was.. I want to say 9, maybe 10 years old? I had seen someone do a video essay on it and I became curious.

But, unfortunately I still had some internalized shit at that point. I told myself that I wasn’t allowed to watch “childish” media. But later that year I started watching the Disney renaissance films again or for the first time. And I I started watching animated films again.

and then, almost two summers ago, I got back into Spongebob. It was a childhood favorite of mine and I decided to revisit it. And, I then started revising other shows from my childhood, and watching shows I had never seen as a child but had wanted to watch.

And, Invader Zim was one of those shows. I had also been curious about Gir because of my love scene fashion and culture. But i didnt want to walk around wearing Gir merchandise without knowing anything about him, which is also why I watched it.

And, as soon as I started watching the first episode, i was mind blown. I had missed out on such a good show. I wish I had seen it sooner. It changed my brain chemistry to be honest.

And, as soon I started watching it jokingly started shipping Zim and Dib. My thought process was “what if I shipped to the two kids that hated each other.” As a joke. Mostly because I thought it’d be funny but also because wasn’t the biggest on enemies to lovers. Hell, even today enemies to lovers isn’t usually my first pick. I’m usually more of a friends to lovers and or grumpy x sunshine kind of guy. But, Zim and Dib are an exception.

The more I watched the show, the more fanfic I read, the more fanart I looked at. The less of a joke it became. By the time I watched the Halloween special, I was a full fledged shipper. And Zim saying “I’m not here because I like you, Dib! I’m just here for your filthy gargantuan head!” Certainly did not help.

After I watched most of the show and EtF I got the idea for WotS. And I wrote it. Because no one else was going to. I honestly wasn’t expecting it to be as well received as it was. I honestly wasn’t sure what people were going to think, but I’m glad it all went nicely. I was also surprised people even like my portrayal of ZaDr, given that I typically portray them as sweet, textbook definition of tween/teenage puppy love. (Mostly because I just want them to be happy.)

And then I wrote my other AU’s, like Invader Tak. Which I had a lotta fun working on :) I had fun exploring tak and gaz specifically. I also wrote it because I knew no one else was going to write something TaGr centric, so did it myself. :) and honestly, that’s how most of my AU’s have been born. Because no one else had written anything like them before.

And then I worked a bit on some other smaller projects before working on my current project/fic A.K.A Aliens Exist, or A.E for short. Which is essentially “Invader Zim but if it’d been written by me.” Which includes what changes I would’ve made, my hcs etc. and canon ZaDr is one of those things. Like, one of the premises for it is “What if ZaDr was canon?”. So yeah. And it’s coming along quite nicely! :D I have a good chunk of it planned out and such, and I’ve also written a good chunk of it. Especially the later chapters which are pretty lore heavy. (They also include some crazy plot twists!)

But, anyway. I’m so glad I watched this show and started shipping this ship. I’ve made so many friends because of it and I think that’s really cool. I hope that it’ll continue to be a comfort ship for years to come!

Me personally I don’t have a problem with anyone shipping anything. Doesn’t matter if they have 5 minutes or 50 minutes of screen time a season! I think it’s just the parasocial relationship of it all… I probably wouldn’t dislike BT or tommy as much had it not been for the cameos and his stans literally defending him based on HCs from the cameos to the point of bashing other characters (including Buck!). I’m not saying all buddie shippers are perfect, some can be problematic! I just personally have not had a positive interaction with a BT shipper and my experience is them mocking buddie fans or putting tommy on a pedestal.

i 100% agree with u. there can be problematic ppl from any fanbase. usually i dont really let how ppl feel abt a ship/character influence how i feel abt them, and that is still the case with bt. i do not like tmmy and i will not like tmmy, there is no question abt that. i didnt like him before i even saw the inflow of bt shippers. the fact that a good majority of his fanbase is a little parasocial with lfjr and also relentlessly hates on eddie (wishing him dead, etc.) just reinforced my dislike of him. its not his screen time or anything like that its just that hes not a very likeable character.

aran didnt actually have to use any of dirty tricks to take joe down, so they didn't start off on that bad of a foot, or a bad foot at all. (fighting is par for the course for this sport, of course.)

that being said though, you still see n hear things ab eachother, and have assumptions as a result. Aran initally sees joe as a snobby, wimpy man, and joe aran as a scary, unpredictable brute.

eventually, however, aran starts looking at joe... a little differently. he pranks him a lot because yknow. its funny. but joe doesnt seem to mind it at all... in fact, he takes his pranks really well, and it makes aran see strong joe is in a way and how much of a sense of humor he has.

joe at the other hand, noticed that aran, outside the ring, was actually fairly tame, outside of his pranks of course. it helped a lot with mellowing his perception of him. combine this joe's many hobbies and aran's try-everything attitude, and youve got the start of a click !

news of their little budding relationship spreads around the minor- and world circuit, and kaiser begins to take notice ab how joe talks ab aran, how hed normally b horrified at the prospect of him being anywhere NEAR him.

so one day, in all his eternal german grace, he says...

''well if you love him so much, why don't you two kiss, hm?''

and joe hadnt gotten that thought out of his head since.

He even boldly exclaims that joe arguably works harder than macho, the victories who seems to come so easily to him.

macho eventually leaves, deciding aran's not worth his precious time.

aran then turns around, and OMG HE SEES JOE STANDING THERE !!!!!

anyway he heard all about what aran said (thats right, overhearing ooc conversations and miscommunication happening is OUT, overhearing conversations and gaining respect for someone is IN), and confesses right there and then. aran, hearing prolly the most romantic speech thats ever been directed to him in his entire life, is at a loss for words. He can't say anything other than ''of course, joey.''

as for other misc hcs that dont fit anywhere else...

one time, when cleaning out aran's jacket pockets (joe's a bit of a neat freak), he found... a bunch of lint. But also !! he found a ton of crumpled up notes. They included phrases for the ring, comedic poems... but they also had affirmations for himself, about his family, but also about joe. joe, sans the lint, left the pockets as is. ever since then though, he's felt closer to him than ever.

joe will often try to pick up aran like a princess. considering hes still decently muscled, he can do it succesfully.

joe loves baking, especially bread, but aran will ALWAYS manage to set something on fire. think spencer from icarly.

they infodump to eachother ab their respective countries histories and folk tales, joe esp ab the former n aran ab the latter.

one time, joe and aran set out for a night walk. then, they (or rather aran) thought he heard a banshee screech. what they actually heard prolly was a car tire screeching in the distance. aran, however, was never the less scared SHITLESS and ran tf home, screaming highpitched. He had to be comforted by joe all night after they got home.

aran loves going to theme parks. he loves the rush. joe, however, hates the tall rides like the rollercoasters, n prefers the calmer rides like the teacups. They have a ''goes onto the rollercoaster alone'' x ''holds the persons stuff while theyre gone'' dynamic.

they rly like singing duets together, especially after a couple drinks. wine in joe's case and beer in arans case. theyve sang at macho's parties before as well, and needless to say they make for great entertainment.

notes on razlo's 3rd arm

》 as with anything on this blog, this is shrimply my opinion / hc — more power to ya if you think differently, but this is just what i personally think 《

cw: conceptual musculature, anatomical study, things like that (just to be safe)

some general notes to start: a lot of the motion required by the 3rd arm only utilizes the muscles of the back, along with the deltoid (and the lats + 'little lats' but i consider those to be part of the back muscle group). i had jotted down the known angles and positions wed been shown in trimax but those didnt make the crop so...🤷‍♂️

my personal takes:

it would work best and be the most straightforward approach to blend the organic muscle structure with the...well, "organic" additions. to do so, they would need a little extra wiggle room to properly connect things at the proper depth. leaving it along the surface as just an addition would probably give away a 'weak spot'—knowing how things have to be connected in order for something like that to Work means knowing where to hit thatll hurt like a BITCH and potentially stun / incapacitate razlo in the midst of things.

(of course, when it gets blasted off by ww, its pretty obvious that it hurts like a bitch anyways. but cmon a blasted magazine jammed in your back is Gonna Hurt)

now, i did say "organic" above—lets dig a little deeper into my hc sandbox, shall we?? there are a couple ways things could go: solely mechanical (lost tech could do Many Things...), the cadaver approach (i mean...), or the "failed experiment" approach (depends on how much you wanna blend canons between stamp and max on that one).

solely mechanical: the eye probably has a lot of access to tech that others may not have thanks to conrad (ew). given the weapons they produce, it wouldnt be far fetched!! i prefer a blend of mechanical and organic myself, but the opportunities are endless.

cadaver: they would likely have...quite a few bodies in different states, given the inherent level of violence it takes to become an assassin. finding someone who has the same bloodtype, similar levels of The Juice Blend (serum), things that would make the transplant Compatible—either that would be Real Easy or Real Hard. again, depends on the stance taken here. going off just bloodtype? easy. serum? harder. much harder, given it Seems there arent many who have the same autoregen that lr has. i could be wrong but wws reaction to it makes me Think.

experimental: mixing some of stamps ideas as far as "building" or "creating" new plants (i think ep 10 or 11??) in tanks makes for an interesting theory, i must say. fusing organic tissues from "failed" plants would be good for a more "natural" approach, potentially even allowing for a higher likelihood of their body accepting the transplant. this would also lead to...interesting conversations in the postcanon klr department. potentially knives blows a fucking gasket part two.

anyways, back to the topic at hand: the diagram

including thin plating under the layer of muscle, however you want to approach it, leads to an easier slide over more "stiff" anatomical areas—the spine, scapular zones, etc.

the muscle could overlap the existing "base" musculature, allowing lr to keep the regular function to their Actual Arms, but it would lead to a more thin, stretched connection to the 3rd arm. yet another reason to kind of "nestle" the port and humeral extension between their shoulders, while still allowing for the surface muscle to expand and contract to properly move it. the humeral extension leans more into cadaver territory, given that it would be easiest to apply a prothesis approach based on an "available information" bias.

the blood / vein and nervous connections allow for more tactile sense in the arm—how tight to grip a weapon without misfiring would require that!! as well as having a general idea of Where it is and What Position its resting in. from what i can tell, having the palm rotated outward and keeping it curled seems to be the natural resting position, but i could be wrong. it could also rest palm in and just...down. could also depend on the situation, whether hes holding a punisher, etc.

at the "core" or base of the arm, there would likely be...somewhat of a mirrored delt situation necessary in order to pull the arm up, rotate it, etc. along with a mirrored scapula and "spine" of the scapula!! just to have a good, solid base. the addition of an extra clavicle down and back would also help form a good "starting point" for the muscle to build off of, along with providing extra connected muscle that may be necessary for motion.

of course i am no medical expert and i could be very wrong on all of this. dont care though. these are my thoughts. My Sandbox.

OGH!! yeah i get that! part of it came with reading pre-cal fics and thinking ‘hm. i think robbie and link would get along’- trying to chat whenever he gets the chance and have it so hes not just. Standing There. accidentally setting something on fire while zeldas distracted by purah already having set something on fire and the building explodes leading for zelda afterwards to just stare extremely suspiciously at link. making an effort to include him basically </3 ALSO YEAH speaking of robbie did not actually go on a rampage! i remember that but in his diary it actually never mentions him going out there to test his weapons. which. is weird because i know that came from somewhere? but i forgot ….. more specifically his diary says “I’m sorry, Link… I spent so much of my life researching the Guardians… Even with all my knowledge, I wasn’t able to give you the weapons or power you needed to succeed.” which. really struck me?? a part of him seems to blame himself and considering he Now Gives link ancient armor that he once wasnt able to. he also says this when he first got to fort hateno. thats what he thought when he looked at the destroyed guardians. so i like to think they had Some form of a connection, one-sided or not. i just think its interesting because its like. almost nobody thinks like this in-game about link (which is Good and would set more implications than the game already has,) and it ties into like. pre-cal link (to me) not even being remotely normal. as someone who hcs (canon in wotb hahahahahahaahhaa peter griffin death pose) link to have Major Depression especially in the memory cutscenes and also how he was propped up as The Hero who can defeat Anything and is Awesomesauce partly as a way to ease worries about zelda Not having her powers but can also tie into military propaganda and the whole divine right thing but i digress and how he tried masking a lot of himself to look perfect in the eye of the public (accidentally making himself look More weird). the thought of someone recognizing that link didnt Have enough resources to go against the calamity, that robbie was Trying to help give the resources and power he needed. stares out into the abyss. also he thinks highly of link mentioning that ‘a master swordsman such as link who impressed king rhoam and became princess zeldas royal guard… well, even someone like that has their limits.’ (ALSO I SHOULD MENTION THIS IS A WATSONIAN EXPLANATION FOR THIS. OH HEHEH okok so this actually started out as a concept of ‘things everyone would give yomiel while hes in prison’ type deal (kamila would probably give mechanical keyboards with cool keyboard caps and some toys that she thought he would like. she would get him to play minecraft with her and they would build redstone together. jowd brings in painting stuff and printed photos to use as reference but also as keepsakes. probably stuff that would make painting just. Easier. alma would give office stationary and specific tech things and cabanela would give the same things he does to jowd: random specific items that couldnt be more useless if they tried until they become Absolutely Needee in One Specific Scenario in the future. also sunglass accessories for all of them. stickers on sunglasses for lynne.) SPEAKING OF the thing i came up for lynne was omamoris- theyre usually given as good luck charms or like Gifts in japan (citation: I Think). theres different kinds and you can get them specially made if the ones arent sold dont meet what you need. lynne specifically gives the yaku-yoke one (used for getting rid of bad luck or evil spirits). and for yomiel its less about the omamori itself (he is already in prison his life has been through the gutters. it Can get worse but by how much truly) but more of the thought of it. like for context lynne gives this to him back when she Just got saved or before shes a detective. only a couple of minutes ago he tried to Frame Her For Murder and have her rot in a cell unable to do anything meaningful. he literally just pointed a gun to her head but she still thanks him for saving her from getting crushed. the fact she went out searching for something to give him and genuinely thought of a thanks. also its not necessary but omamoris are usually replaced and returned to the shrine every new year to have better luck This Year. and so im having lynne also do this. he fully expected it to be a one time thing. It Is Not. once yomiels finally Out of prison he immediately gives jowd and lynne a kanai-azen (safety/well-being for someones family) as a way to ‘repay the debt’. in the end its mostly like. yomiel is no longer cut off. he has a support system now that genuinely means well and is there for him. time to actually Adjust to that. also sissel still visits. sissel is a daily visitor whether hes in cat form or Not. sorry this is less of a plot and more of ‘oh neat :D’. also some of the omamori lore may be wrong in which case: i am sorry

some hcs i have include kasper having fashion sense and an actual motivation to dress nice/different every day. super cool dude that likes silly bracelets and chains and bright clothing. also its not super visible in the doodle, but he actually has longer hair tied back in a messy bun. and yes its been washed pre-infection kasper is a gamer but he was a decently clean rubber ducky gamer!!!!!

my explanation for his canon clothes is that infected does not give a shit about dressing up. hes the most laziest person youll ever meet and will have an allergic reaction to any kind of self care thing like shampoo or soap. yk when youre so sick that you dont give af about anything and all you want to do is rot in bed? thats infected. he doesnt care about dressing up like a cool person, eating regular foods and meals, etc. hes just on the gamer grind 24/7. dude doesnt even skateboard anymore wtfff,,,

so anyway infected wears that ew pink shirt and baggy pants like all the time. the rest of kaspers clothes are currently rotting in his closet 😞 also he chopped his hair shorter cause the back of his neck was constantly burning, so now it looks like he laid down and let a weedwhacker cut his hair.

oh and the scar on his face is from his first time attempting a back flip (when he was 8 or smthn). literally jumped back and crashed into his moms potted plant. yes dirt got up his nose and his thick skull broke the $100 pot but its a-okay kasper has a cool scar now. he likes to say he got into a fight and won (he has never won a fight in his life lmfao)

you know what? fuck it. i didn't sign anything, and i did this for free. mask off. i was an author of this character from 2015-2020.

for those of you that don't know chipspeech, this was basically an extended online character work deal. i called it roleplaying at the time, but now that i've done character work for theme parks professionally, i'm gonna call it what it is.

essentially, i performed this character through twitter (during twitter's heyday) to advertise a product called chipspeech. dee is one of a handful of voice synthesizers you gain access to when you buy chipspeech. it was a combination of customer- and public-facing improv, and planned-out story arcs which resulted in a surprisingly complicated lore.

notes under the cut:

around the end of my time authoring dee klatt, i reached out to pixoshiru, the artist behind the chipspeech characters, about how they imagined dee's face to work. i'd been writing dee like they had different masks that had to be repaired and maintained. well, pixoshiru's answer was much cooler. dee's face contains tiny animatronic parts that can morph to physically change dee's appearance. why tf didn't i ask first?

i think everyone should make dee weirder.

i actually did not need to make dee trans. dee was always genderless. shortly after i took up the job of writing them, david viens (OF PLOGUE NOT THE OTHER ONE THAT COMES UP IF YOU SEARCH THAT NAME) changed their pronouns. dee had previously used binary pronouns iirc, but it was a translation error that he was happy to fix.

i don't even remember why me and vosim's author gave them a romance arc, but it was cute while it lasted. i think we had them break it off just for practicality reasons, and because we felt like it was taking over their characters. if you ship vosidee, keep doing it! it was sweet while it lasted. also, the way i see it, it's preserving chipspeech lore history, which... we always need more of.

i wrote the main arc for dee with the floppies before i left the team and gave them permission to do as they pleased with it. they kept it more or less intact, although they changed proto-dee's name (i don't remember the original.) i consider that arc to be the best work i did for dee and i'm proud of my successor and the rest of the author team for performing it so well.

not everyone is weird about them, but someone sent dee actual cat gore at one point. i was a minor when i got that sent to me btw. don't do this

i didnt write dee autistic on purpose but looking at my other writing from the time period... if they seemed autistic, you weren't imagining it.

dee is fun with other characters but one of the things i was proud of was that dee could go on solo adventures that genuinely entertained the fans. thus is what happens when you're one of the most active authors during lulls between story arcs.

genuinely, dee klatt changed my relationship with writing forever. i mean this. when you guys see me talking about characters (and peoples' hcs about them, including ships) like "huh i don't see it but if it works for your story it works," it's because of my background in things like this. i had to tell genuinely compelling stories on a difficult-to-read-through platform in a way that would advertise a product and inspire songwriters. you learn pretty quickly how to think of a character as much as a tool as they are a person.

not going to comment on the mental problems note, other than to say: chipspeech's early days put a lot of pressure on me as a 15 year old responsible for a project with as many eyes on it as chipspeech had.

i genuinely miss dee sometimes. what they dont tell you about character work is that the character never leaves.

dee is such a sweetheart and deserves the best forever. yes i say this knowing i put them through some crazy shit.

it makes me so happy to see that the things i did with dee meant something to people and all. i genuinely never did it for recognition and i don't want this to come off like i'm trying to get attention or recognition. it's really satisfying to do good work without the pressure of waiting to be thanked for it. i feel that way about dee. thank you chipspeech fandom for everything

okay so for my splatoon self insert i have a lot of concepts in my head but here's a bit of a rough idea i got

my s/i, like me, does have very poor self-esteem and is sensitive and since shes been hurt in the past she does put up a lot of walls around herself plus does apologise excessively even when she doesnt have anything to aplogise for often she also does doubt her own feelings and if they are valid or not (which is smth i experience a lot currently) she prefers to speak to her friends more honestly plus when faced with something she doesn't know how to deal with she usually takes what she considers to be the safe way out and it does work! but there are times where it impacts her emotionally but she doesnt want to vent to anyone about it the last thing she wants is to be a burden to those that she loves (emperor, her friends) however she's completely different when shes alone and when she's with friends when with friends she's always happy most of the time since rlly feels safe with them and when she's with her interests/hobbies but like she doesnt tell them a lot of things regarding her feelings so she just hides them because she doesnt wanna bother them or make them worry as for when she became neo 3 it was a lot of feelings for her mainly confusion and surprise LOL she didnt expect to become a part of the new new squidbeak splatoon and she joined grizzco beforehand so she could fend for herself she also wanted to help out however so willingly she accepted the position when it came to the climax of the story with mr grizz and whatnot she didnt show up for shifts in grizzco for a while after that unless it was urgent (such as big runs for example) and stuck to turf war and anarchy

splat!ophie's a s/i that i really want to put a lot of myself into and use some elements in splatoon's lore as like metaphors when finding out that apparently lil judd is in charge of grizzco she was hesitant but she does a shift every once in a while but its just like a one-off thing she also struggles to express herself and truly be herself even when around her loved ones when it comes to talking about her feelings with her friends however she feels like frye is the one she can talk to the most since she's p close with her like there was one time where like deep cut noticed she wasnt rlly her usual self and later on frye asked her if things were okay this is also a bit of a hc i have for frye since she's the eldest in her family like my s/i and i think she'd be rlly understanding when someone she cares about isnt doing the greatest its also the same with emperor too i do wanna talk about her and emp's dynamic a bit but im still building that in my head ig and i have been keeping it to myself i also wanna add that despite the emotional/mental issues that my splatoon s/i goes thru she represents the part of me that still wants to fight back my s/i would literally do anything in her power to make others happy even if it included changing by changing i mean by changing herself, the things she likes, even if it's something she wouldn't want to do she also wants to prove she can fend for herself and doesn't want to be talked down to just because of her self expression and because she's shy n whatnot which is why she works for grizzco

Ive been into fnaf since literally forever, but never really took notice of the dcas until ruin came out.

I was mostly on the theory side of the fandom, having been in the more character focused part too when i was younger but drifting away from it over time.

Ruin released and i watched a playthough stream literally ON RELEASE HOUR XD

And i just absolutely fell in love with eclipse

I thought they were ADORABLE

Coincidentally, this was also not too long after i first got Tumblr

So obviously i started following all the new ruin stuff people were putting out here, including Eclipse art and hcs and everything else

Which led to me falling HEAD FIRST INTO THE DCA FANDOM

Never before them did i like characters that were similar to them so even i was just so hella confused as i not only discovered that so many people loved them

But also as i discovered that i was really warming up to them too

I understood liking Eclipse because he was actively helpful and caring and sweet, but i guess i just didnt see the appeal in the others yet???? XD

I have no idea how it happened

But over time without even realizing it, my view on the dcas was just totally changed XD

The more time i spent in the fandom sphere, the more i started to love them

And honestly, it also kind of changed me as a person on a few levels too??????

Like, my entire aesthetic has partially changed and evolved because of these silly guys

And alot of my views on some things (one of the main ones being gender, hilariously enough. Who would've thought a trio of robot jesters wouldve given me a better perspective on gender) and even on myself have changed (positively) because of this fandom, its fanfics and its fanart

And the type of characters and styles i gravitate towards has totally changed

I used to ignore or even straight up dislike anything jester or clown related, but now i absolutely adore it lmao

Ive even gotten much more positive and bubbly and energetic in general, which could just be correlation and have happened unrelated, but id bet its atleast partially because of my Sunny obsession XD

Like, all because of these characters and this fandom, ive grown and developed in ways i probably wouldnt have without it, and im actually really glad because i feel good about it, and, thinking about it, its probably made a positive impact in some way

And thats without even mentioning the wonderful people in the fandom ive interracted with and the events ive had the opportunity to take part in!

But yeah, so over time i did in fact grow to love the dcas XD

And i can now in fact agree that, yes, i LOVE Moons voice 💙💙
