I want to stick Berkeley in a large enclosure with lots of plants and a miny waterfall with a little pond at the end. He’ll get two meals a day and a phone to keep him entertained. It’ll be paradise. He doesn’t have to worry about anything every again

Oh, and there will be tiny anacondas in the enclosure. They’re cute and they like slithering on top of people… I’m sure Berkeley will adore them

Of course, he'll be so happy! He totally won't freak out first things first, desperately looking for a way out only to realize there is none, nor is there a place in the enclosure where the snakes can't get to him. He'll be a panicking mess, pleading to be let out, he'll do anything, anything! When there's no answer, he sits down on the ground and squeezes his eyes shut, begging to wake up somewhere else because it feels like nothing more than a horrible nightmare, but he's still here and he can't escape, ever.

Alright, that was a fun rewatch

As beginnings go, I kind of love this one. It's pretty silly, but it immediately introduces us to Luz, her fantasies, and how delightful she is, as well as Good Witch Azura. A little detail I quite like is that the actual animated Azura looks way more like Luz than her action figure.

I'm sorry but I just do not subscribe to the opinion that the hunger games movies were in any way bad or that they "butchered" the characters or themes that suzanne so meticulously and lovingly created, because a) she was always a constant presence in the creation of those movies and the directors/producers were very respectful and mindful of the differences between her books and what they could actually implement in a visual medium that would make sense and propel the story forward in a way that made sense in their interviews, and b) even though the movies definitely don't show all of the thematic nuances of the books, and although they do gloss over/erase a lot of the ways that the games affect katniss and peeta (namely his disability/her loss of hearing), and while the movies are quite preoccupied with the visual aesthetic and streamlining the story for a wider audience, they do still contain the heart and soul of the books and, to me, the creators seemed fiercely protective of suzanne's core vision. also fuck you they're just amazingly well-shot, well-written, and well-acted films, including the mockingjay movies, and i will die on this hill

Should I decorate my snake tanks for Christmas / winter? I'm buying substrate to clean out their terreriums in the next few days. I normally make their enclosure fall-themed around this time of year but I forgot. Maybe some cute white leaves and flowers? Nothing sharp of course - Rotating out the decor / clutter is super great enrichment for them!

Oh yeah? Well my snake Linguini knocks over furniture in his cage until I pick him up. I know this because he gets super fast and wraps around his cage decor and immediately slows down when I grab him. He then proceeds to sit on my shoulders while go back to whatever I was doing.

He only does this if I haven't held him at all that day.

He also hates it when other people hold him and protects his little brother, Coral, from big scary strangers. Coral is very shy so if someone goes to pet in Linguini zooms in and is like

"Look at me!! Pet me!! Not him!!" I know he does this on purpose because he lets me pet and hold Coral no issues

Hey, so for the Human Au, how do think Julie would go about her life? Considering her personality in the website, I would think that he takes up different part-time jobs, but mainly likes working at the community center, mainly for the summer/after school programs where they can come up with and host fun activities for the kids!

no yeah that's pretty much what i was thinking! she bounces from job to job - she probably has a roster of seasonal ones that she rotates between. Julie really does seem like an every-gal yk? doing just one thing all the time would be soooo boring

i like the idea of summer / after school programs a lot actually! since canon Julie is big on games and fun, i'm sure she'd be a great choice for those sorts of things. i bet she works a seasonal summer camp in their county!

My baby girl Scoria is in blue, which means she's about to shed!

Please do not think her scary!

She's actually being incredibly brave. Right now the natural fluid that builds up between her eye and eye scale helps her shed it- but it also leaves her almost totally blind. Many snakes refuse to come out of hiding while they are shedding because it's like wandering around the forest with a blindfold on.

But my baby girl trusts me completely. So she left the safety of her moss to spend a short time snuggling with me. It's like wandering around the forest blindfolded- but with your best friend guiding you so you don't trip or walk into things or get attacked by an animal trying it's luck at an easy meal. She knows my voice, and when I talk to her she knows I'm there keeping her safe. She often came over to my chin to be as close as she could to me before wandering about.

This is not a scary snake. She's my best friend, who is in a scary situation, and putting all her trust in me to keep her safe.

I will keep you safe, dear friend, and when your sight comes back again, oh the adventures we will have!
