My gf and I finally got a new bookshelf for our bedroom and there's a lot of extra space on it so I decided to try and fill in the gaps in my collection of warrior cats books from my childhood. I love love love big youtube video essays, I’m not sure if i can pick a specific favorite!! They’re pretty much all I watch if that helps, and I have a lean toward informational ones— like, about real world events and history rather than about media— although certain media ones are really good too.

My imaginary friend’s name was Nobody. Like.. genuinely thats what i called him. I knew he wasn’t real but i felt left out ‘cause everyone else had one so when people were around I would pretend i had an imaginary friend. An imaginary imaginary friend named Nobody. I have changed my name, and I picked it because it shares a nickname with my birth name and has the same initial— an easier transition for everyone else, they could just say my nickname if they didn’t want to say my new one. It even sounds similar. I do like the name, but it beat the other options because of that.

The first one that comes to mind as my favorite is the video where Sam heals Darlin (Vampire Tends To Your Injuries)— it was the first one I listened to and easily the one I’ve listened to the most. I’m a whore for hurt/comfort and that specific energy was too good, the mutual care and growing trust without strings attached, waaaah. I’m also really fond of the one where Avior helps Starlight sleep (Comforted By Your Demon) and the imperium one Specifically when Milo is talking to Asher about David (the beginning of Cataclysm: Last Wish) and the pain in the acting its SO GOOD. Probably my favorite bit of acting specifically from the channel, and the only scene thats made me cry. I just love when characters let down their walls and are vulnerable with each other its real good

Im sleepy and i love my cat and i would very much like to just cuddle that dang thing all day but alas, society calls. I like Avior for you on an Enneagram basis; along with the competency and capability, there’s a dogged curiosity there that, I think, Avior would admire and would keep him on his toes. 🌷 - what's your controversial opinion? (an opinion that is disliked by the fandom, a hot take basically)

There are no canon LGBT+ cats, yeah there are implied two m/m couples and Mousefur is apparently acearo which was revealed outside of books, but don't give the Erins too much credit. Unless it was specified in the book directly, who really cares what they write about on Facebook, no casual reader would find out that Jake/Tall and Raven/Barley are apparently canon or that Mousefur is acearo unless they specifically look at the trivia section on the WC wiki. On that note, here's a possibly more controversial opinion (two for one baby): Ravenpaw x Barley...isn't a good ship. In the books, it is implied that Barley is much older and they met when Ravenpaw was an apprentice (a teen in human year's). Though there's nothing wrong with rewriting canon (let's be honest this shit is so complicated at this point it's the only way to make ships non-problematic in warriors), especially that many canon ships just aren't any better (Dust x Fern, anyone?) because Erins are apparently shit writers who can't keep track of their characters' basic information like age or have enough brains to realise that a mentor having an interest in his apprentice's sister might be a bad idea (DUST X FERN, ANYONE?). Honestly, these are mostly lukewarm takes because I don't have any truly hot takes for the warrior's fandom lmao, and I don't really care if somebody ships Raven x Barley because Erins have written canon couples with way worse age gaps (I think the reason I am put off by Barley x Raven is because when I was first reading the books I imagined Barley to be at least middle-aged cat (since Bluestar called him an old friend) while Ravenpaw was an apprentice, but the ages are all over the place anyways so who cares).

🍀 - whats your most favorite underrated cat?

BRICK, MY BELOVED. I, unfortunately, have a problem with falling in love with background characters (Bone, Redtail, Nightstar) but at least the others get more recognition and Redtail got a whole book dedicated to him, my Brick doesn't get SHIT. I get legitimately so happy when I see artwork of them or when they show up in some comic because they're mostly an afterthought for everyone (understandable, they're barely in the main books and in the rise of Scourge they were still just a background character despite literally finding Scourge along with Bone).

🌈 - what is the least favorite headcanon of yours that everyone shares and likes?

Oh man, this one's hard, because I don't really...dislike any headcanons, to be honest? Let alone ones that are popular. Most headcanons are good or I just don't care enough. Uhhhhh...hmmm... Does Cinderpelt being in love with Fireheart count? Or maybe disabled characters stop being disabled in Star Clan? (Mostly because you have to be super careful when writing stories like that for...obvious reasons) maybe trans lady Brick? (Because "brick" can be used as a transmisogynist insult, I dont think making a character named Brick transfeminine is a good idea, non-binary Brick who's also a molly (like idk, genderfluid between enby, boy and girl, for example) is pog tho)

- hmmmm honestly i dont know? i never really related to the main/pov characters honestly... so i guess mousewhisker or foxleap !!! keep in mind i havent read anything past the last hope so idk how mousewhiskers personality has gone since then but :sob: before then... id say him n foxleap are the cats i relate to the most (at least from thunderclan since thats all we really see ever lol FHDSDHF)

- my favorite book is probably The Darkest Hour!!! it was the first warriors book i read (after Sasha’s Manga lol but that was a manga this was. a main series book) (also yes i kno its bad i went out of order but when i found it in the library i just saw “warriors” like the sasha manga and thought “oh fun book time!” did NOT kno it was the 6th in the series IFDSDFDS) but yeah darkest hour will always have a special place in my heart n ive thought abt rereading it!

- oh goodness ive had so many wc ocs i would make fanclans and fill them up with cats and then NEVER use them again FHDSF but my FIRST FIRST ever warrior cat oc was a cat named LOVEHEART and she was “pinkish-ginger” cat with white paws and ear tips and blue eyes and she had 0 plot whatsoever. the first oc who had like an actual plot and stuff (who doubled as my first warriorsona) was MOSSHEART (og mosstalon / mossclaw but i changed it for some reason i dont even remember why) and mossheart was a golden cat with like bangs and white paws + ear tips (sometimes she had scars?? usually a torn ear..sometimes a scarred eye) and like cyan blue eyes. she was half riverclan half thunderclan and she was allowed to visit each clan whenever she pleased for as long as she wanted . her best friend was icetail who was this brown cat with a white tail who was the medicine cats daughter. and then mossheart had like a boyfriend who i forgot the name of lol but then she had a rival in the clan whos name was darkheart and he hated mossheart but he was also? super in love with her? so he wanted to kill her ig idk it made 0 sense lol this was back from 2009. anyways thats the story of my first 2 ever wc ocs

some Bad Opinions and lots of mumbling including stuff about fandoms and kin stuff n thoughts of self diagnosis 

i’ve never really liked fandoms. i never feel comfortable in them i always feel there is a hierarchy and that the ‘popular people’ in them are always. overly rude to everyone else. i often feel left out with fandom stuff that way ?

but it’s either:  - there’s bad people - there’s lots of drama - both

warrior cats fandom specifically. ‘adults’ ( anyone over 18 ) would get Run Out of the fandom basically because it’s ‘kid’s books’. i keep out of drama and try not to stick myself into it but. I am also Very Snoopy when it comes to that and honestly. a lot of the drama was kin drama if anything and it was. usually the minors

obviously i can’t blame a Group for that but still the warrior cat fandom was. So Hostile about. 2 years ago when i was active in it. kin stuff was Such a Big Deal with everyone and you weren’t allowed to ship x and x cat because of x thing and like. yeah it Makes Sense if it’s an Actually Bad Ship but ??? idk everyone was overly rude about it. or specific users but i can’t even remember their url and i wouldn’t namedrop anyway but. Still

kin stuff in general is just so. Holy Fuck. people get So Pissy about it ??? i’m not against otherkin or anything i don’t actively ccall myself otherkin or fictionkin anymore because i dont wanna Get Hate and shit for it but it’s probably still up on my tumblr somewhere idk i haven’t edited for ages lmao

anyway. everyone is so. overly pissy about it ? just ? “can’t do this can’t do that” or really bad excuses like “im kin with x thing for coping” and this is just My Bad Opinion but

Coping Kin Doesn’t Help

at least it didn’t help me. it made me feel more isolated. i was in a few kin chats and such and still i felt. alone with it. it rreally doesn’t help and It Isn’t a Good Cope. it’s okay to relate to a character and stuff e.g. “this character has x and so do i” “that character is gay and so am i” and ‘coping’ that way, sort of thing but. as a general thing it really. doesn’t help.

i’m probably gunna get kicked in the teeth for that tbh but still like idk. personally kin stuff just Made My Mental Stuff Worse. it helped a little here and there but it made me Anxious about getting hate, or anxious about someone saying i can’t be kin with x character or something ( and honestly most my kins are/were just. main characters of things. really problematic characters )

and im sure i’m not the only person who has felt/feels that way. and that’s the reason why it didn’t help me feel any better.

self diagnosis side idk i just

i’ve JUST started seeing a mental health nurse ( one appointment with her. one phone appointment with someone else )

and my thoughts on self diagnosis have ( and always have been ) the same thing: - it’s helpful if you’re worried about having something, and bring it up with a doctor. don’t say “i have x thing” when it’s not officially diagnosed and don’t use it as an excuse

yes sometimes you can diagnose things yourself ( depression and anxiety for example. it’s pretty easy to tell when you have both or either of those ) but still if you think you have something, it’s better to go in and See If You Do and get help with it. over “i have this, it’s my excuse why i’m acting this way” which is a Big Excuse i see A Lot

not saying mental illness doesn’t affect your actions but just. i dislike it when people say that as an excuse to their actions over an apology or a calm discussion or something ?? it’s rude to the other party ( unless they’re being rude back I Guess. but in that case just. don’t reply and block them ? )

and also i do understand that in cases there isn’t always access to help with mental health or a doctor. i’ve been waiting 4 years to see a proper professional because i didn’t have the funds, transport, or the support to do it. i called a place janurary last year to make an appointment but i had to cancel it because my mum doesn’t believe in mental illness ( moreso she thinks mental illness and mental disability/learning disability are all the same thing )

still if. you’re unwell and have the access to it i’d suggest that over self diagnosing and shoving things in abouts for it. plus you can get help which is what you’re meant to do when you’re unwell anyway ?

i had an appointment the other week and my doctor told me to do breathing exercises for my anxiety. i’ve been told that A Lot. i see it A Lot. and i must’ve had a “fuck not this again” look on my face because he explained to me that

the breathing exercises are a type of medication in a way. they will help me feel better if i do them ( and they do. because i have been doing them. ) but what stuck with me was he told me that my Anxiety was a Medical Condition. i’ve never had someone tell me that before and it’s just really. Strong ?

i think that’s why i’ve been thinking about self-diagnosis recently. it’s like saying “oh i have x medical condition” without being checked for it. yes you might have a broken arm. get that fixed. but if you’re having stomach pains it could be a number of things. and that’s why you go to the doctor. i didn’t know the cause of my dizziness when i stand too long. it was because i was iron deficient which wasn’t what i thought it was in the first place

i’m just trying to make a point here i think that like. you can’t just say you have something without being diagnosed. and yes diagnosis can be wrong But. it offers Help and could be something more minor or, sadly, could be something worse.

Oh gosh let's see... as far as fanfics go I have Kick in the Head, a few ongiong things like the Fallout and Portal Aus... tons of self-indulgent garbage that I'll never show anyone so that doesn't count lmao And as far as original content I have only 2: The Night Makers and something that's been worked on to equal extent but... has no title (It’s the one with the cats n bugs n things of that ilk)

2.) Do you/would you write fanfiction? I do, yes! It's very unusual for me to but... Portal is just a universe I love to pieces. As well as Fallout, Psychonauts, AMR, Stranger Things, LoS... gosh now that I think about it, it's not as rare to write as it is to post.

3.) Do you prefer real books or e-books? I love real books for tactile reasons and the fact that they don't hurt my eyes as badly as digital ones but... e-books are probably the way to go.

4.) When did you start writing? Oh gosh... I don't know honestly, but when I was around fourth grade so... when I was ten. Wow.

5.) Do you have someone you trust that you share your work with? I do, yes! Fanfictions that I feel aren't too horrid go here, and I have 2 people that do my proofreading for KitH (wink wink). As for personal works like... actual stories I have one friend but for seelf0indulgent garbage I have 2 that I know irl. (Wink wink again)

6.) Where is your favorite place to write? I don't know, I write anywhere. My aunt's house is really quiet and there's lots of chickens though so... there perhaps.

7.) Favorite childhood book? Oh gosh get ready for the list: Guardians of Ga'Hoole, Warriors (arch 1), Alice Through the Looking Glass, ASOUE, Coraline, Odd Thomas, The Graveyard Book, Goosebumps, Dolores Claiborne, The Dark Tower, Varjak Paw, Revival (Is that old enough to constitute childhood? Eh whatever) and I'm sure a few more but... yeah those

8.) Writing for fun or writing for publication? Both and neither? I do write for fun but sometimes the fun is coping and yes, I do hope to publicize things one day but I know I need to improve first.

9.) Pen and paper or computer? I get hand cramps easily, so computer.

10.) Have you ever taken any writing classes? I did in my freshman year of high school. It was horrendous and not helpful at all. I learn more from just reading different authors honestly.

11.) What inspires you to write? Bunches of things... music does, scenes from films, certain tonal differences, dynamics between characters that could be explored... usually it's when I zone out that I get inspiration. Specific examples are writers like Neil Gaiman, films, stand up comedians (I feel like they get the short end of the stick but people like John Mulaney inspire me a lot I find), even revisiting childhood stuff. Also when I feel close to flying? Like not literally but just going really fast in a car or something just helps for whatever reason.
