Floyd: AUAUAUAGAGEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEEE oh ive been waiting for this one. Longer, messier hair !! Slightly darker color with bright highlights. I gave him and Jade their facial marking from their merforms, as well as some slight discoloration on their skin. Both Floyd and Jade’s fingers are also discolored!! (Also, sharp nails hehe)

I imagine their shoulders and upperback are also discolored. I see Floyd having some ear piercings!! Slightly ripped up uniform from getting into fights, as well as some scars from those incidents as well. Slightly bigger pants and blazer, and I made his teeth bigger too :3

Azul: Made his hair slightly “brighter”, and colored in his lashes!!! Has suuuper pretty eyes, and lashes that could make u jealous sigh. his face also has some slight discoloration and like the tweels his fingers are also discolored, but his are a blue-purple color (A little similar to Luka’s from ALNST but a bit more desaturated??), and I added a few more beauty marks on his face, but I imagine that he has a lot more around his body hehe. Pretty boy confirmed thats how he gets u sigh /j

Jade: I made his hair slightly longer, as well as gave him his merform facial markings !! Not sure if its noticable, but his pupils are smaller than Floyd’s. He gives people the Uncanny Valley effect. He just looks so …….. eerie ?? Hes smiling and hes pretty but theres no light in his eyes. Literally, hes the only one I didn’t add any eye highlights for 😭, He tries to hide his hands the best he can, similar to how he hides his teeth lol. Has two tiny beauty marks near his ear, and really nice lips hehe

So, we have this doodle with evil Flowey

It's depends on background what colours i will use or what mood of a character i want to create. This time it's just the dark depths of the underground and the light falling from the surface. I'm roughly layering the colors as if they were just chunks of paint. I'm painting directly on the sketch layer, so I'm getting messy shadows. Not tryna to make any details yet

Then, im adding colors in shades. So far it's just gray-blue shadows on his face and petals what im blending into those messy black shadows

Then the light. It's just brighter colors for his adorable face and petals. I also changed color for shades on his petals

And then the details. I used only one brush when coloring Flowey himself, similar to a paint brush, but now I took a basic flat csp marker to circle his eyes, enhance the light on his face, teeth and add other details. I also removed the sketch off his petals to make them look cleaner with sharp eraser brush, added some light yellow reflections on his cheeks and jaw

I'm adding highlights and filling in the gaps in his teeth (bc Flowey has the money to go to the dentist obviously) and.... We're almost done

Colors look pretty okay but something's seems off to me. They're not warm enough so i filling Flowey with warm yellow and change layer mode to color burn and reduce the transparency to 25%

Still, i wanna add more lighting. I cover his top and part of the stem with a light yellow tint and then i change layer mode to glow dodge, 50% transparency. Adding dust particles and.... Finally, Flowey is cooked and Toriel can shoot him with fireball!

WC/RW DAY 14: SEVEN RED SUNS

this is sunray, leader before swiftstar, who retired from their duties early [and still outlived their deputy?]

they'd felt tired of leadership for a long while, and wished to simply live as a warrior amongst their clan once again. they returned their lives, their mark, and name as sunstar, leaving swiftstar and then moonstar to lead their clan.

pebblestar was a close friend of theirs, and they were the one who suggested he take temporary leadership to clear his illness through death. they were devastated, to put it lightly, when moonstar died before their eyes.

it had worked for them before, they returned their lives to starclan and lived. yet the cold body of the widely-beloved moonstar lay at their paws, and an equally cold pebblestar, though only cold in mind, followed them home.

they deeply blamed themself for the death of moonstar. they should have known, they told themself, that she was on her last life. yet pebblestar's condition weighed on their conscience as well, especially as it only got worse. their plan had failed. and it had cost a life, soon to cost two, of the cats they cared for most.

sunray died in the flood that wiped out most of drizzleclan.

among their friends in starclan, they found themself at peace, finally. they played their own part in rebuilding drizzleclan, guiding a promising kittypet named spikes to become one of the first warriors under peachstar.

I like to let people know about things and features and I think they should know someone noticed. I have some experience critiquing art irl and it's so much fun to look into the details and intent and how did they do that part, how much time did this section take, what were they thinking feeling imagining seeing?? How did they get from there to here?

And it's epic and wonderful and I love art I love artists I love interacting with people with no expectation of return. I get to shout out my little brain thoughts into this space and maybe they even make it back to the origin and maybe they even get to read the thoughts and maybe they even feel nice after! Game Night: CHAIN ATTACK!!!

i am,,, withering away but ITS DONE ITS DONE IM FREE FROM THE CURSE (<<< still haunted by wips) clocking in at 32+ hours, this sucker has been getting pushed around for 10 months-

while theres some things i would have done differently if i could redo this from scratch, i still had a BLAST cramming in as much detail as i could tolerate >:) some highlights / cut ideas / ramblings are below the cut, but please zoom for details! (if tumblr doesnt shred it to bits)

gonna be real i locked so hard onto drawing ripped jeans that i forgot i could have just shoved legend into a skirt and called it a day

SOCKS. SOCKS. the amount of Joy anytime i figured out how to personalize them with game references: legend (hibiscus), twilight (ordon goats), and four (force gems)

i WAS going to put time in a turtleneck, but had an epiphany and started digging for the most obnoxious hawaiian shirts i could find,,, ft. a sea flower (wind waker) and a saturation boosted plumm (twilight princess)!

yeah so warriors got the sweater instead of the skintight shirt, sorry gang

speaking of if i ever say im going to draw a cableknit sweater again, somebody PLEASE shake some sense into me- warriors sweater was a NIGHTMARE since my art program has an astonishing lack of good brushes (and yet here i am still using it)

MOST of the text has been modified using the twilight princess cipher because yeah. i was procrastinating shading. also the other ciphers were in japanese- times shirt is cropped, but reads "its 5 oclock somewhere"

Rainwings: - Can change the texture of their scales alongside color - Weakest bite due to their fangs, probably why they're vegetarian - Mimic interesting behaviors - Have forked tongues

Mudwings: - Colors range from olive green to purple-ish red - Very resilient - Able to breathe fire regardless of body temperature, the heat of the flame depends on body temp - Their horns constantly grow and sometimes have to be cut due to dangerous growing patterns - Love gnawing on things, tough foods like jerky is popular - The horn covers of fallen siblings are harvested and turned into instruments to remember them by

Leafwings: - Colors range from gold to teal (and pink to olive green during cold seasons) - Can appear to have false eyes - Bug-like just like the other Pantalan residents (because they're just some weird outlier like what is going on here) - Leafspeak doesn't actually allow them to hear voices from plants but rather increase the sensitivity of their antennae which pick up on the changes in plants - In colder seasons, regions that have deciduous trees influence leafwings in that their scales change into warm tones similar to fallen leaves for camouflage but this also negatively impacts one's leafspeak ability; this doesn't apply to evergreen leafwings however

Hivewings: - Colors range from hot pink to olive green - Can appear to have false eyes - Have elbowed antennae just like their "cousins", Hymenoptera (wasps, bees, ants) - Tend to disregard personal space/get close out of habit, being close means better temp regulation and better communication - All hivewings have stingers, wrist stingers, and a venomous bite but it largely depends on preference of which they choose and like muscles, they can be exercised to become deadly weapons - They're not capable of "emitting a horrible stench"

Icewings: - Colors range from white to pale indigo - Melanism is still very rare but more likely in icewings - Can be iridescent in any color, especially visible in lighter scaled individuals - The scales on their face is very fine and is flushed with blood which darkens the area and allows them to see in the snow by absorbing light, otherwise the glare from the sun reflecting off would be a hinderance - Their wings are thin and thus have visible veins most of the time - Idk how to describe their scales other than its kinda like basalt formations - From the side they appear large but are actually thin and flexible - They can freeze to death if they've gone without cold for a long time and then reintroduced too quickly - In hybridization, they have dominant genes, partially because the animus gene - The extra mane of horns can appear randomly on the body in singular spikes, they also make a clink sound when they collide as if they're made of ice, making a pretty scary rattle when disturbed

Nightwings: - Colors range from orange to purple - Albinism is still very rare but more likely in nightwings - Dwarfism is more common - Teardrop scales are always present, highlighted when the dragon has powers regardless of type - Pitbull ready to bite kids - They CAN hang upside down as the books suggest but not for long - By taking dust baths, they dull their scales to reflect less light and blend in better in the dark - Have white fire but cant breathe for long due to how hot it is (this is mainly to add onto the mysterious factor of em and I always liked the idea) - Due to eye sensitivity, they hate sudden bright lights and will close their eyes as they breathe fire

Silkwings: - Can have black or dark accents but never as a whole body color unless they've hybridized - Wing shapes vary widely - Can appear to have false eyes - Flamesilk is rarer than one might think - Very flexible and have strong tails used as a sort of 5th limb in climbing - Albino or melanistic dragons still keep their iridescence - Silk is emitted through a spinneret on the chin rather than the wrists - Prefer to travel in pairs (instinct)

Sandwings: - Colors range from red to olive green - Dark patters often mimic a snake's - Horse-like in complexion - Alongside their snake-like appearance, they have pit organs - Tend to move like birds - Poor eyesight but good hearing - Their horns angle upwards sort of like a bull

Skywings: - Colors range from red to yellow (and green because skywings are meant to be your typical fire breathing dragon which is most often depicted to be red but can also be green) - Tend to move like birds - Weaker than they appear - Green skywings are incapable of being or having flamescales - Their horns constantly grow and have to be filed down - A flamescale cant melt rock or metal by touch alone, only via fire is it possible - It's not that they don't want flamescales that they kill them, it's more of a mercy killing because of how lonely their life can be

Vanilla Gpose Tips

I get asked occasionally how I make my screenshots if I'm not using shaders or mods. The short answer: Patience. Gpose's suite of tools is a lot more robust than it used to be when it was first released. But if you want a screenshot to really shine without using third party add-ons, it's not something you can just go into gpose, take a printscreen and get back out. You might capture a moment with nice lighting that way, but it takes more than that. 1. Choosing a location and time of day is job one. What kind of mood are you trying to convey? Does your intended screenshot have a theme (or a prompt?) or are you just looking at your new glam and marveling at how fine your character looks in it? Does a lighter or darker setting suit the character better? Setting, time of day, and weather can affect this. 2. You can stop time and weather from changing. I keep this on by default because it can take upwards of 30 minutes IRL to fine tune a screenshot. The middle button below. Make sure it's highlighted.

3. Toggle battle effects on/off. It's the button right next to the time/weather stop, the icon of the guy holding the sword. If the icon is highlighted as it is in the screenshot, your battle effects are on. If you want to capture pure motion and not worry about battle effects, turn this off. 4. Wet effect. Use it, use it, use it. It doesn't just make clothes look wet and make skin glossy, it actually helps to bring out texture and detail on the character's outfit. Especially since the graphics updates in 7.1. I've found it also adds shine to hair and can help the eyes stand out more.

5. Sticker Mode. Yes, there are oodles of cute minion stickers, flags, and numbers, but there are also some great effects to be found in the Decorations category! Sparkles and twinkles, lens flare, among other things can help enhance metallic points on a glamour, AND they can be resized! So if you want a more subtle twinkle on the edge of your spectacles or earrings, you can tilt and downsize your desired sparkle. There are also cute flowers and hearts. 6. Quick Keys. If you're playing on a keyboard, the 1 on your top number row freezes the screenshot. This is extremely helpful if you're trying to catch a battle emote right at a specific moment. If you miss it, keep trying because emotes will continue to cycle until you change them. R and Scroll Lock will both hide/unhide the gpose controls. X will turn on lighting. Space Bar will toggle your character to stop them from facing the camera and vice versa. 7. Lighting Intensity is Dependent on Distance. The closer you're zoomed in on your character, the brighter the light is going to be when you turn it on. Try adjusting your zoom in or out and toggling the light to see if the illumination is to your liking. You can also adjust the RGB on the lights to fit the mood/environment. I also recommend turning on Manual Brightness. 8. Color Filter and Screen Effect. These two features, in my opinion, require the most patience. Not every color filter and screen effect will work well together in every scenario. Click through and preview all of them in your screenshots and see if some SE's work better with your preferred CF. You might find an unexpected combination that you love. Trailer and Echo color filters are great for flashbacks (no one uses Aetherometer, it's an eye bleeder). Use the Pencil or one of the monochrome CFs and Noise 2 SE to create a nice black and white film or photo effect. 9. Frames. Frames are one of the more limited features and not always needed in order to capture a great screenshot. Action poses benefit from the Cinema frames, however, while more lighthearted moments play well with the photo options.

10. Emotes. Before you enter Gpose, be sure to /groundsit to clear your most recent emotes. Summoning mounts and minions also count as emotes for the sake of Gpose. By the same token, you can use battle abilities before entering Gpose, and this is what it will cycle through. You can't activate a battle ability while IN Gpose. You will have access to all of your non-battle emotes and facial expressions, though. You can combine any emote with any facial expression by choosing the action first, and expression second, so you can /prettyplease and /awe at the same time to make your character look hilariously horrified. If you enter Gpose with an active battle ability, you can still apply a facial expression to it from within the tool. 11. Bits and Bobs. Enable Manual Focus and Depth of Field will help bring out the details of the background more, and will help to make a more cohesive screenshot. Manual Focus is great if you want your character in the frame, but you want to shift the focus elsewhere, to an object or another person in the background for example. In the same menu where you'll find emotes, click the second eye button to "Track Camera". Your character's eyes will follow the position of the camera. Lastly, again, have patience. Allow yourself time to play with all the tools Gpose has to offer. You're probably not going to get the winning screenshot after clicking Printscreen just one time, you should take multiple shots from different angles with different lighting and effects, then compare them all and pick the ones you like best. And remember, even if it's the true endgame, it's not a competition. Your screenshots are not "worse" or "boring" just because you're not using third party tools. Wukong being in the light while Mac is in the shadows and MK is in between! The eclipse of the sun and moon!!

LMAO i have a lot of people highlighting these details (and i love it!!) But like-

When I was drawing the scene where they enter MK room, I was like "oh well the room is dark, and Wukong stays at the doorframe so he will probably have some cool rim light or whatever"

But THEN I realized that, if MK were to sit on the bed, there would be a ray of light from the entrance, and THEN I realized Mac could come closer to his right side and he wouldn't be hit by the light at all and THEN my brain EXPLODED from the complication this could imply.

Also I just realized AS I was drawing both unglamoured Mac and MK that they share their covered/scarred eye. And so I decided to keep the eye hidden until eventually maybe it would have been uncovered when things would be sorted out.

TL:DR: I would like to say that all about my comics (composition, shots, colors, dialouge, plot, details, symbolism) are meticolously planned, but I literally open the blank Procreate canvas and then my hand just throws up the stuff and then maybe later my brain makes the connection and understand wtf I'm I drawing

love the opposing sides where the other one is spoiled to death with fancy clothes whilst the other prefers a more reserved style, bleak colors with only the white streaks as the brightest part about them. the white highlights in the villain mc's hair is so reminiscent of jason todd (and a symbolism of death and rebirth, stunning, 10/10, give me more!)

the softer curls on the right side, whilst spikier, more shaggy hair on the left. the details are insane i'm absolutely crying 😭 also! i love to hc the villain reader as a mentee of gotham's famous sirens (poison ivy, catwoman, and harley quinn), or was once a sidekick to at least two or more of batman's villain gallery. the possibilities are endless.

and the curve of the eyes, the lackluster shine on the other, alongside even the sheer difference between preference of jewelry, piercings on the other whilst the non-neglected side retains expensive earrings... something i know you have put so much thought and love into!

you don't know it, but you pretty much got an almost accurate presentation of how i see the reader's mother on the non-neglected side!

also, the perfect representation of both sides of gotham... the rich, glorified side that speaks of poise, spoiled upper-classes and the well-known underside of it which tells stories of a history criminal activity, hell on earth. everything fits so well, i swear.

Marble sarcophagus with the Triumph of Dionysos and the Seasons. Roman ca. 260–270 CE. x

This highly ornate and extremely well-preserved Roman marble sarcophagus came to the Metropolitan Museum from the collection of the Dukes of Beaufort and was formerly displayed in their country seat, Badminton House in Gloucestershire, England. An inscription on the unfinished back of the sarcophagus records that it was installed there in 1733. In contrast to the rough and unsightly back, the sides and front of the sarcophagus are decorated with forty human and animal figures carved in high relief. The central figure is that of the god Dionysos seated on a panther, but he is somewhat overshadowed by four larger standing figures who represent the four Seasons (from left to right, Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall). The figures are unusual in that the Seasons are usually portrayed as women, but here they are shown as sturdy youths. Around these five central figures are placed other Bacchic figures and cultic objects, all carved at a smaller scale. On the rounded ends of the sarcophagus are two other groups of large figures, similarly intermingled with lesser ones. On the left end, Mother Earth is portrayed reclining on the ground; she is accompanied by a satyr and a youth carrying fruit. On the right end, a bearded male figure, probably to be identified with the personification of a river-god, reclines in front of two winged youths, perhaps representing two additional Seasons.

The sarcophagus is an exquisite example of Roman funerary art, displaying all the virtuosity of the workshop where it was carved. The marble comes from a quarry in the eastern Mediterranean and was probably shipped to Rome, where it was worked. Only a very wealthy and powerful person would have been able to commission and purchase such a sarcophagus, and it was probably made for a member of one of the old aristocratic families in Rome itself. The subjects - the triumph of Dionysos and the Seasons - are unlikely, however, to have had any special significance for the deceased, particularly as it is clear that the design was copied from a sculptor's pattern book. Another sarcophagus, now in the Hessisches Landesmuseum in Kassel, Germany, has the same composition of Dionysos flanked by the four Seasons, although the treatment and carving of the figures is quite different. On the Badminton sarcophagus the figures are carved in high relief and so endow the crowded scene with multiple areas of light and shade, allowing the eye to wander effortlessly from one figure to another. One must also imagine that certain details were highlighted with color and even gilding, making the whole composition a visual tour de force.

Very few Roman sarcophagi of this quality have survived. Although the Badminton sarcophagus lacks its lid, the fact that it was found in the early eighteenth century and soon thereafter installed in Badminton Hall means that it has been preserved almost intact and only a few of the minor extremities are now missing.
