FIRST OF ALL...it's not that complicated, okay! It makes perfect sense if you pay attention!
Tumblr media
Also, not you running with the sort of alone ending, HAHAHAHA...and exposing Momina ends up with eight kids that you're making me come up with. 🙄
this reminded me how, primarily, the reason why I don't actually have a ' main ship' is because Nimo and I had somehow made the most convoluted love dodecagon . . . . . relationship chart ? ? ? to ever exist. , honestly ? it don't even make sense anymore. ( nimo might argue, but don't listen to her. )  ⸻ at least, we maintained that Miruku does end up ' alone ' ? sort of. ANYWAY HE JUST WANTED TO BE FRIENDS WITH ALL 17 of them. / jk estimation there isn't actually 17 love interest

vincent is the traitor! Peter Rataris unknowing pawn
over the course of the series many have speculated that Norman would betray Emma and become the main villain of the series, resulting in a friend turned foe situation. Well, as much as many believe this to be true I cant help but feel that something is up.
 Kaiu Shirai, the creator of “the promised never land”, stated to the public that one of the things he enjoys doing, is deceiving readers. Knowing this and looking at how everyone has concluded that Norman is the villain of the series and a traitor to Emma, leads me to believe that we are all falling right into Shirais deception. So then, if Norman isn't the traitor of the series then who is? well, I, as well as other, believe its Vincent.
First lets talk about what could’ve made Vincent a traitor. Vincent is a survivor of lambda, he was rescued by Norman then later becomes one of normans top officers, along with Cislo , Barbara and Zazie. Aside from being able to fight demons barehanded he is also seen to be very intelligent, knowing a great deal about medicines and even machinery, but most importantly, aside from Norman, Vincent may be the only other person among the cattle children (not including Emma and her group) with superior intellect.
And yet, something seems very off about him. Compared to Barbara and the others Vincent seems to put more effort into “matching” Norman. Norman dresses very professionally and Vincent can be seen doing the same,
Tumblr media
 Norman speaks in a very polite and discrete manner and Vincent can be seen behaving in the same way.
Tumblr media
 We know that the lambda children idolize Norman and look at him as their savior, but what if Vincent didn't just idolize him, what if he was full blown obsessed with Norman?.
how did Vincent develop his Norman obsession? well, it most likely had to do with the fact that he was at lambda.  Lambda is a hellish place, not only are you experimented on but you are also separated from the rest of the world with no hope of survival.
 In chapter 119 Norman explains to everyone that he managed to escape from lambda by first finding an accomplice, that accomplice is Vincent since its his name written in the secret message of the rubix cube.
Tumblr media
 If you look at Vincents clothes in chapter 129 you can clearly see Vincent and Norman are wearing the same clean clothes, confirming that Vincent was experimented on in a similar manner as Norman.
Tumblr media
If he was, then that means Vincent was isolated in a room just like Normans where he could be monitored at all times.
Tumblr media
Considering that Vincent was able to make contact with Norman first, tells us that he was already at lambda long before Norman arrived, giving him the time needed to learn about the facility and contact others unnoticed.
Vincents attempts to contact others probably didn't start with Norman either, he may have already made several attempts, however, its likely no one was able to catch on to his secret message. If Vincent was going on day after day hoping that someone would be smart enough to decipher his message then odds are all that waiting made him go a bit crazy. Isolation can make anyone crazy, and in Vincents case once Norman replied to his secret code it would have not only sparked a flicker of hope but it  would've also marked the beginning of an interest that would later develop into an obsession. An obsession over learning more and desiring to be closer to Norman.
After finally escaping lambda Vincent would’ve just simply cherished the fact that he would finally be by his godly Normans side. I’m guessing for a while Vincent truly believed everything was perfect, and nothing could change the way things were. That is until Emma and ray came back into Normans life.
If Vincent really is crazy for Norman then this spells major trouble. If Vincent  realized that another person was not only able to catch Normans full attention but also have the potential of making him switch his loyalty to them, then surely Vincent would become possessive of Norman.
 In chapter 124 when Emma and ray meet Cislo, Barbara and Vincent. Barbara and Cislo intimidate them, then begin boasting about how great they are compared to them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
 Vincent states they are “ childishly competing with you”, but what are they competing against?, its clear to them ray and Emma don’t have their strength so its possible that they are competing with them in terms of  value to Norman, they are jealous. Vincent is the only one who remains civil about the matter but its possible even he felt a sense of jealousy towards Emma and ray, or perhaps even a sense of animosity towards them as he listened to stories about how Norman was much happier with them in his life at grace field.
 In chapter 122, before meeting Emma, Vincent meets up with Norman, telling him he heard word from other children about how Norman acted like a completely different person when he was around Emma and the others.
Tumblr media
 It must have been quite a shock to Vincent when he heard Norman was acting so happily, after all,  in chapter 124 Vincent and the others describe Norman as being nothing more than cold and serious in the time they knew him.
Tumblr media
however,  rather than talking to Vincent more leisurely about his reunion,   Norman quickly shuts him down and shifts the focus back to his plan.
Tumblr media
with the way Norman shut Vincent down,  Vincent may have already developed a bit of dislike towards Emma for not only bringing out a side of Norman he could never bring out himself,  but for also revealing to him that Emma and the others might actually have an impact on Normans perfect image.
  After talking with Emma and Ray in chapter 124 , Vincent may not have just felt jealous and spiteful towards them, he might have also developed a sense of fear... fear that he would lose Norman to his original family. Now that he knows just how much of an impact Emma and her friends can cause, Vincent may have determined Norman was better of without them.
I’m guessing this isn't the first time Vincent felt this way either. According to Norman,  Smee was the only other person he could rely on when planning his escape at lambda,
Tumblr media
 however, on the day of Normans escape, Smee was captured. Just what happened to him is unknown,
Tumblr media
but because he was a Minerva supporter norman says it is likely he was killed, or was he? but more on Smee in another theory
if Smee was the only other person at lambda capable of connecting with Norman, then its possible Vincent may have felt the same fear and jealousy he felt when Emma came back into Normans life. These emotions could’ve lead him to do something that Smee may have soon found out for himself...Vincent may have betrayed Smee and handed him over to Peter Ratari.
 what if Vincent  exposed Smee to Peter? he may have planned Smees capture to occur the same day lambda was destroyed, allowing him to completely hide his tracks and avoid any suspicion from Norman. However, if Vincent believed he could get away with using peter then he is sorely mistaken. Using peter is a big mistake, he is not someone you should get involved with, seriously, from what we’ve seen, the guy is evil on a completely different level!!.
Tumblr media
 Despite being loyal to Norman, Vincent  may have taken it upon himself to ensure that Normans brilliant mind would not be influenced by anyone. And what better way to do that than by getting rid of those people like he did with Smee
 in chapter 129 when Norman talks to Vincent and the others about what is going to happen to mujica, he tells them not to worry about it, that he will deal with it.
Tumblr media
 in chapter 143 when don and Gilda finally reunite with mujica and sonju, hayato thinks back to when he and jin were tasked with killing mujica. The weird thing is, its not Norman giving them the order to do it, its Vincent!
Tumblr media
and even though in chapter 144 don and Gilda cry over realizing that Norman has lied to them in order to kill mujica
Tumblr media
 they may not realize that it probably wasn't Norman who planed the assassination !
Some of you may say, “but wait, it had to be Normans plan, after all back in chapter 138 Cislo and Vincent were having a conversation about the whole ordeal being Normans idea ”, maybe, but what if we misinterpreted that conversation?.
Tumblr media
When Cislo starts asking questions to Vincent over the plan, he first asks “ you think they’ll find the evil blooded?”, Vincent assures him they will since Norman was even able to find geelan. Cislo then asks, “you think they can kill her?”, Vincent assures him they will and states that he simply needs to trust Norman on that matter.
when cislo says “ you think THEY can kill HER” our immediate thought is that he is talking about mujica, but what if he wasn't talking about her?, what if cislo was asking about queen legravalima?
Tumblr media
 In chapter 148  Norman states that the royal family, including legravalima are very powerful and intelligent, and in chapter 149 we can see she is fully capable of wiping out a large number of geelans army with ease
Tumblr media
 Despite Normans plan to kill all demons, we see now that Normans plan was actually to have geelan weaken or kill the queen instead while at the same time reduce his own armys numbers trying to fight her. She is to much for Norman and the others to handle on their own without first being weakened.
the “THEY “ in cislos question might actually have been referring to geelan and his army!.  In chapter 138 Cislo might have been expressing to Vincent his concern for not just finding mujica but for the killing of the queen!. And why would cislo be told to trust Norman on that matter? because, even if geelan fails to kill the queen he would have still done his part to leave Norman with the opening needed to kill the royal family once they were weakened. And as of chapter 150, we can see this is currently happening
Tumblr media Tumblr media
 Which again leads me back to the whole mujica assassination. if you think about it carefully you may find that the whole plan is suspicious!. First of all why would Norman send hayato and jin on a serious assassination mission when all they ever do is escort missions?. Back in chapter 114 and 115, it was jin and hayato that needed to be saved from demons,
Tumblr media
they were completely incapable of fighting. In chapter 135 when hayato is revealed to be don and gildas escort, everyone feels concerned, saying he is not the most reliable, hayato even stated himself that he is not reliable at all!
Tumblr media
In chapter 139, when its revealed that jin is also following don and Gilda with a bunch of children just like Adam, it can seem as if jin and hayato really are  capable of completing the assassination.
Tumblr media
 Children like Adam are after all strong enough to take down a demon single handedly, however, they are by no means skilled. Every punch they throw, every swing they take doesn't just go to the demon, the attack itself goes to whatever is in that range, and they cant exactly stop midway of an attack either, all they have is brute strength, I mean just look at what one of them did to a tree when attempting to attack Sonju
Tumblr media
If Vincent purposely assigned Jin and Hayato with the assassination plan and sent a handful of Adam kids with them, then its likely that his plan was to distract sonju with the Adam kids and have Don and Gilda accidentally killed while attempting to protect mujica from Jin and Hayato. Once mujica was killed, sonju, in a moment of rage, would kill jin, hayato, and ayshe
And in his moment of rage the other Adam kids would’ve received the opening needed to finish him off. Later on, if anyone were to question why Jin went with them when he wasn't even assigned to the escort group back at the base, Vincent could simply lie by saying jin went on his own out of worry or he could say that he sent Jin and the other Adam kids just to make sure don and gilda were well protected in case mujica turned on them, once they were all killed, Vincent could simply blame the demons.
 But wait, if the Adam kids are the only survivors wouldn't that ruin Vincents plan once they came back? no, because once the assassination plan was done, the  Adam kids who went with jin and hayato could simply go back into hiding with the other children, and that’s if they ever find their way back at all!, they are after all, not very smart to begin with. But wait!,  wouldn't the Adam kids say something? no, because just as we have seen with Adam in chapter 73
Tumblr media
 all Adam kids have a short attention span and little interest in talking just like Adam, even if they did talk, no one would understand what they were talking about
 Heck, Adam repeatedly said Normans number back at goldy pond and neither Emma or Ray ever caught on that he was saying Normans number!.
Tumblr media
even when he went on to live with Emma in the underground shelter, Adam never once says Normans number ever again, until they actually reunite with him in chapter 119
Tumblr media
 As long as the Adam kids stay silent, Vincent wouldn't have to worry about anyone finding out about mujicas assassination plan,
However, judging by how things went,  Vincent probably didn't expect the Adam kids to suffer from seizures during the attack and he most certainly didn't think that ayshe could actually talk and wind up helping don and Gilda. If so, then as of right now, Vincent is currently at the castle unaware of the fact that mujica and sonju are alive, and worse, that hayato is now with them at the capital on their side! practically guarantying his exposure to Norman
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the only question now is, what was he planning on doing with Emma and ray?,perhaps Vincent had a microphone or camera in Normans office (is he that obsessed? probably) and thru his ipad/tablet, which we can clearly see he owns in chapter 122,
Tumblr media
 he was able to listen in and learn about how no one has ever made it back from the seven walls .
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vincent probably underestimated Emma and Ray and believed they would never come back as well.
unfortunately for him, Emma and Ray did come back and are now at the capital as well. In chapter 146, Vincent is placed in charge of hacking and controlling the security system, and as we can see by whats behind Vincent
Tumblr media
 the castle is equipped with cameras and TV monitors to see everything going on in the castle.   In chapter 149, when Emma and Ray are trying to figure out how to get into the now gated castle
Tumblr media
 we see a quick shot of Vincent in the security room staring at his ipad/tablet
Tumblr media
 he knows Emma and Ray are there! but he doesn't notify Norman that Emma is making her way in! why?, because, what lies beyond that gate is the battle between zazie and the queen.
Tumblr media
 if Emma has no idea were Norman is and makes her way into the final battle to kill the royal family she could end up getting herself killed, which is exactly what Vincent wants, after all, aside from the Adam children, zazie also has a hard time focusing on who to attack. Back in chapter 117, zazie almost killed Emma in the midst of killing the demons
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and sadly, with Normans eyes focused on killing the royal family, he hasn't even considered the fact that Emma might have returned from the seven walls and is now trying to find him amidst the chaos. Emma did say in chapter 128 that Normans logic was all based on numbers and probability and there was no guarantee his plan would succeed without any issues, well guess what!, the one thing he for sure thought would never happen is happening right now!
In chapter 148 when Emma and Ray are heading to the capital, they come across the demon army Norman had planned to lure away to other demon villages.
Tumblr media
 However, Ray and the others soon realize that they are not going to demon villages or back to the royal capital. They are instead searching for the cattle childrens hideout!,
Tumblr media
whats worse is, they know exactly what area to begin searching, but how?, how do they know where to begin looking?, my guess is Vincent was being tracked by peter after lambda was destroyed!. Like I said before, peter is not someone you should get involved with, if Vincent really did try using peter to get rid of Smee then odds are peter must have figured out Vincent was involved with Norman as well as Smee and chose to keep a watchful eye on lambda and the area around it whenever he wasn't there, how could he do this? why with secret cameras of course.
 back in chapter 112 ray reveals that Peter Ratari used camera owls to track them down from the very moment they left mujica and sonju in search of shelter B 06-32 way back in chapter 51.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
 It was those same camera owls that pinpointed the shelters location as well as the cameras belonging to the shelters security system. Whats worse, peter has a tone of these owls flying around! and it may not just be owls. Since its peters job to make sure the human and demon world are upholding their end of the promise, who knows what else he is using to monitor the demon world.
If peter did use Vincent as a way to find the others then he would have already made a plan to take back all the cattle children the day they were at their weakest, that day was the day Norman was away at the capital with nearly all their strongest fighters.
if any of this is true, then its only a mater of time before Vincent  is exposed, not just as a traitor but as one of peters unknowing pawns in his plan to recapture(or kill) all the cattle children. Then again, there’s also the possibility that Vincent may have secretly been working with peter this whole time, and only pretended to be normans ally until the grace field children arrived. But hey, thats just a theory, a the promised never land theory!

~~~~~
For two very, very smart people, Haru and Hayato weren’t that great in being inconspicuous.
They liked to claim otherwise, but they’re both people who wore their emotions on their sleeves, and weren’t the subtlest when it came to their actions.
And it was even more funny when it turned out they were the last people to find out about their feelings for each other.
I. Yamamoto
Yamamoto likes to think that he’s pretty close to the hot-headed Storm Guardian.
That didn’t mean they always get along, but he had become surprisingly adept at reading what’s in the silver-haired Italian’s mind, even when he was still very much dense about other things.
As a result, he had his first suspicion when Gokudera nearly blew up a guy for making inappropriate comments about Haru.
They were hanging out with the girls and the kids, simply walking down Namimori and enjoying the day. Gokudera had grumbled a bit when he was dragged along, but he didn’t seem to mind that much.
For a while, Yamamoto had thought that nothing would happen.
And then some guy just had to go and ruin it.
“Looking good, babes. Especially you, Ms. Ponytail.” A guy walking the opposite direction cat-called, winking in Haru’s direction. The girls visibly flinched, and although they tried to smile, Yamamoto could tell that they were uncomfortable as they scooted closer to each other.
Yamamoto clenched his fist, and was about to say something to bring the mood up when he heard Gokudera clicked his tongue beside him.
“Excuse me, Juudaime, but I just remembered I have something to take care of.”
“Huh? Oh, ok, Gokudera-san. See you later.”
Gokudera smiled brightly at Tsuna, but somehow Yamamoto could tell that there was something hiding behind that smile. Something just waiting to explode. So as the silver-haired Italian walked off, Yamamoto couldn’t help but worry.
“Sorry Tsuna, I just remembered I have something to do to.”
He ran to catch up with Gokudera, whose face was becoming darker and darker with fury as he headed in the direction of the guy.
“Ma, ma, Gokudera, calm down.” He waved his hands around, but Gokudera didn’t notice him at all and began to get some of his dynamites out. “Come on, let’s not do anything drastic here-WAIT WHERE ARE YOU PUTTING THOSE?!”
“THAT’S FOR MAKING INAPPROPRIATE COMMENTS YOU FUCKING PERVERT!”
II. Bianchi
Bianchi knows love more than anyone, so she could safely say that she was the first person to notice the signs. Sure, they argue more than what was necessary, but if you ask her opinion she would say that there’s undeniably some kind of tension there.
That thought only solidified when she saw Haru taking care of her dear brother.
“Thank you for doing this, Haru.”
“No problem, Bianchi-san. I was in the neighborhood anyways.” The brunette smiled as wiped some of the sweat off Hayato’s face.
It all started when Hayato came to the Sawada’s house looking for Tsuna, put he was met with Bianchi instead. And to no one’s surprise, he fainted the moment he saw her face. Normally, she would stay and take care of him, but she was due to go on an errand with Mama.
Luckily, Haru was nearby (probably also looking for Tsuna) and she was roped into looking after Hayato. She didn’t object, which was surprising to Bianchi. Not to say there wasn’t some initial objections, but she agreed faster than Bianchi thought.
“Are you sure you’ll be alright?” Bianchi asked. “My brother can be a handful.”
“Don’t worry, Bianchi-san. I can handle things here.”
The pink-haired girl nodded and walked towards the door. She trusted Haru, after all, she was a good girl. As Bianchi neared the exit, she couldn’t help but glance back one more time, and saw Haru smiling down at Hayato while moving some stray hairs from his face.
Yup, there was definitely something there.
Now to get them together.
III. Kyoko
Kyoko never gave the idea of Gokudera and Haru possibly liking each other any thought. After all, from what she could tell, they absolutely cannot stand each other. And yet, something happened that made her question it.
They had just been at La Namimorine, and was on their way home. Kyoko was laughing and talking, but quickly stopped when she noticed that the brunette wasn’t by her side.
She swivelled her head to see Haru’s eyes glued onto a shop window. Cocking her head to one side in confusion, she walked over to see what Haru was looking at.
“A leather jacket?” Kyoko asked. “Why are you looking at that, Haru-chan?”
“Hahi!” Haru jolted. “Kyoko-chan! Sorry, did I get distracted?”
“It’s ok. Were you thinking about buying that?”
“Haru doesn’t know. It’s not for Haru.”
“Oh? Who’re you planning to buy that for?”
The brunette turned away abruptly, her cheeks flaring a crimson shade. She mumbled something that Kyoko couldn’t make out.
“Ano, what did you say Haru-chan?”
“Gokudera-san.” She quietly muttered, but it was enough for her to be able to hear it. Kyoko blinked in surprise.
“Hehh? Is that so? I didn’t expect that.”
“D-don’t get Haru wrong! It’s for his birthday!” Haru waved her hands around frantically.
“Really? Is his birthday coming up? I never knew.”
“Bianchi told Haru. Haru still doesn’t know if she should get him anything, he’s so rude to her.” Haru harrumphs, but then her voice softened. “But then again, Gokudera-san did give Haru that sketchbook she wanted on her birthday.”
Kyoko watched Haru, a smile appearing on her face. She remembered that sketchbook, the brunette had fawned over it for days.
“Maybe you should, it certainly fits that bad boy look he has going on.”
“But Haru doesn’t even know his size!” She exclaimed. She gave the jacket one more look before turning away. “You know what? Maybe not, maybe Haru will find something else. Let’s go home Kyoko-chan.” Haru walked ahead of Kyoko.
The brown-haired girl gazed at the jacket and smiled wider before catching up with Haru.
IV. Reborn
Reborn would like to call bull on every single person who claimed that they saw the signs first because he was undoubtedly and unquestionable the first person to know about it. Hell, he even knew about it before they began to act even remotely civilized towards each other.
It was the usual chaotic day at the Sawada household. Lambo annoying Gokudera as the silver-haired Storm Guardian chased after the five-year-old. Haru was also joining the chase, shouting for Gokudera to “stop bullying Lambo.”
When it inevitably ended with Lambo crying, Haru scooped him up and began reprimanding Gokudera, which quickly turned into a full-blown argument. Now, for any normal human they would see it for what it is. An argument.
But Reborn saw more than that. He saw the hint of a smile tugging at the corner of Gokudera’s lips. He saw Haru’s eyebrows scrunching up in anger, but also saw the tiniest blush on her cheeks. And most importantly, he saw their eyes, the way they looked at each other.
Cautious, maybe some annoyance, but there was curiosity and some interest.
Ah, they were being so obvious.
“What are you smiling about Reborn?”
“None of your business, Tsuna.”
“Heh, that’s creepy.”
That remark earned Tsuna a smack.
V. Hayato/Haru
Hayato didn’t know how he was roped into walking the damn woman home. It was Reborn who requested, almost demanding, it and even Juudaime had agreed, saying that it was dangerous for a girl to walk alone at night.
He could agree with that, he might not be able to stand her, but that didn’t mean he wanted something to happen to her. And the walk had been silent so far, something he was grateful for, as he could still hear her loud voice ringing in his ears.
“Ano Gokudera-san?”
“What?” He said gruffly. Haru frowned, but astonishingly she didn’t blew up.
“Haru heard that your birthday was coming up.”
“Ha? Who told you that?”
“Bianchi-san did.”
Hayato furrowed his eyebrows, unsure of what she wanted. “So?”
“Are you doing anything?”
“Probably not,” he snorted. “It’s just another day to me.”
“Hahi! How could you say that? A person’s birthday is important! It’s the day you’re born!”
“So what? It’s not like I’ve had many good memories of my birthday.”
That put a damp mood on the conversation as Haru’s eyes widened. She saw that he was trying to act nonchalant, but the sight of his eyes looking downcast told her otherwise. But she didn’t know what to say, so she kept silent.
They kept on walking, the awkward silence descending on them like a curtain. Hayato bristled, the silence affecting him more than he realized.
“Why did you want to know anyways?” He couldn’t take it anymore and asked.
Haru snapped her head up. “Huh? Oh, Haru just want to know when she should bring the present.”
“You got me something? Geez woman, you shouldn’t have.”
“Why not? Gokudera-san gave Haru that sketchbook on her birthday, it was only fair for Haru to give something back.”
“Oh...right...that.” Hayato cursed his face for becoming red against his will for some unknown reason. “Did you like it?”
“Yes, Haru did! Haru has been inspired lately, and the sketchbook is very useful!”
“That’s good.” He couldn’t stop the grin from appearing when seeing her acting so upbeat. “Listen, if you want, maybe we can do something tomorrow. N-not just the two of us, of course!” He frantically said when he saw the flabbergasted look she gave him. “With everyone! I don’t know, just something small.”
“That’s perfect!” She smiled. “Maybe Bianchi-san can make you a cake!” She didn’t notice the way his face blanched and become deathly green.
“Yeah yeah,” he grumbled, but the grin was still there. “Just don’t give me something weird, stupid woman.”
“Hahi! It’s not weird!! And Haru’s name is Haru, not woman!”
As usual, they began arguing after that, but now more aware of that strange, inexplicable feeling blooming inside their heart.
Well, it was a start, at least.
OKAY so i know i’m late on this, i kept having second thoughts about the length and then decided i’d just split it and try finishing the other half some other time. also @mistystarshine bc Yoriko (and thanks Misty for the minor deets about Hayato)!
“Yoriko, you don’t look too good. You’re not nervous, are you?”
Yoriko stared at the lid of the box of biscuits in her hands, lost in thought. It took a moment before her mother’s words registered with her, and she shook her head. “No, I…I’m just not used to dressing up like this after such a long time, I guess.”
Shinobu Kawajiri made a bit of a pitying noise as she patted her daughter’s cheek, then pushed back a stray lock of hair. “You don’t have to hide it. I’m certainly nervous – that’s why I wanted both of us to make a good impression. Your brother never even had a playground crush growing up, you know? So if he wants to introduce us to this girlfriend of his, it must be serious!”
The ding of the elevator going up another floor seemed to echo in Yoriko’s head. Ever since her mother had met her at the door of their house after school, flushed and breathless and rushing about to get ready, she’d felt almost like she was dreaming.
“Reaper, you couldn’t have shown me this?” she’d whispered to herself, feeling a twinge of irritation. Though perhaps that had been an unfair thought to have, especially as she’d lately started growing accustomed to her Stand’s habit of showing visions that only seemed useless until you learned some crucial bit of information. And part of her felt like even a clairvoyant, supernatural being would’ve been shocked by the news that Hayato had a girlfriend.
Of course, Yoriko was a far cry removed from the sort of little sister who’d cling to her big brother, demanding she receive his attention before anyone else. She knew that she and Hayato were both quiet, hard-to-read people: they kept their thoughts to themselves and rarely made big displays of emotion. It wasn’t as if Hayato told her everything. In fact, he’d been avoiding her questions more than usual lately, as encounters with ghosts raised questions about the time before she was born…
Still, something just felt off. This was unlike him. She couldn’t put the ‘why’ of it into words, but–
…Maybe I am being unreasonable. There have certainly been times when I wished that I didn’t have Reaper, that I could live an ordinary life. I’ve been dragging Hayato more and more into all of that lately, and he can’t even see most of it. A romance, especially with a normal girl who knew nothing of spirits or Stands, would probably be a welcome change of pace. It’s been harder than usual to get in touch with him. It’d make sense if he’s been seeing her in secret for a while, wouldn’t it?
And she was satisfied with herself for getting over such a relative non-issue. At least, she was until she saw Reaper’s hazy form flash before her as the elevator doors opened, and felt the all-too-familiar chill of impending danger run down her spine.
She found herself walking faster and faster alongside her mother as they approached the door to Hayato’s apartment, but before either of them could touch the knob, it swung open.
When she saw the person standing there, Yoriko froze in place. The box of biscuits slid from her hand fell to the floor.
“Yoriko-chan, it’s been so long~!” With a giggle, Honey knelt down to pick it up. “Ooh, I know just the tea blend to serve with these. Why don’t you and your mother come in and sit down while I get things ready?”
Now she sat on the tiny couch in the apartment’s living room, hands on her knees and nails digging into her palms, her mind a whirl. Through the open archway that led into the kitchen, she watched Honey and her mother bustle about, chattering pleasantly. Hayato was still in his room, apparently, putting last-minute touches on something for work; Yoriko hadn’t bought that for a second, but she didn’t dare move to check for herself, not if it meant leaving her mother alone with Honey and any number of knives.
Think. Think! She’d walked right into a trap. If I called Shizuka, would she make it in time?
Shinobu emerged from the kitchen, shaking her head. “I can’t believe Yoriko didn’t tell me you two had met already!” she remarked, placing a tray of arranged sweets and fruits on the coffee table.
“Oh, we just happened to bump into each other on the sidewalk,” Honey replied, pouring each of them a cup of tea, “and I simply had to know the name of such an adorable girl! You know, now that I’ve seen you face-to-face, it’s clear that she and Hayato get their cheekbones from you. I’m so jealous, hehe.”
Yoriko warily regarded the contents of her cup, and flinched when her mother took a sip before she could come up with an excuse for not drinking.Then again, poisoning them would likely end things much too quickly for Honey’s entertainment…
Frantically, she tried to remember the contents of the notes she and Shizuka had put together. Honey Amamiya’s Stand is fast, but fragile. It’s better suited to attacking from behind rather than head-on. It seems to be able to shift into a remote mode by 'attaching’ itself to another person, so long as they’re not also a Stand-user. And–
She glanced again at Hayato’s bedroom out of the corner of her eye, and felt a twist in her gut when she noticed the door was ajar.
– its primary ability is causing hallucinations of a target’s worst fears.
Yoriko thought back to the countless other attacks, incidents that the average citizen of Morioh brushed off as simple nervous breakdowns brought on by stress. Most of Honey’s victims had become shut-ins, unable to trust their own senses or the world around them. Some had attacked others or harmed themselves in misguided attempts to end the waking nightmares. A few had even died: heart attacks, fleeing from imaginary pursuers into traffic, suicide…
Her mother, checking a message on her phone, suddenly stood up in alarm. “Oh! Yoriko, that was Mifune-san from next door. I didn’t turn the oven off before we left!” She looked apologetically at Honey. “I’m so sorry, I really don’t know what’s gotten into me lately–”
“It’s no problem at all, Shinobu-san! Believe me, I know how that feels…actually, I’ll have to tell you a funny little story about an accident with some cookies when you get back,” Honey replied. “If Yoriko and I can’t drag Hayato-kun out of his room while you’re gone, we’ll just have a little girl talk. Right, Yoriko-chan?”
She and Yoriko locked gazes. Honey’s eyes were a bright, sapphire blue, and like the rest of her, almost seemed to sparkle unnaturally, as if she’d dusted her lashes with glitter. How many times had those eyes watched, feigning innocence, as she plunged a total stranger into a living hell? Not just for money, either. It was all too clear that she enjoyed her work.
She had to save Hayato.
“…Yes. Mom, you go. I’ll be fine.”
ooooh, a cliffhanger. i cant wait to see where this goes~ i’ll be patiently waiting for prt 2 so dont rush yourself :3
[A few years later here it's the: Emi continues the angst train and up Neo's anst!]
He couldn't say he wasn't shocked by the woman grabbing his face and turning it, saying things that he didn't understand or even got a memory of, after all, he didn't remember who he was. What was his name? Who he was? Those questions weren't answered as he heard both women talk and something about a half-sister and transfer.
After that, he never saw that woman again, but something inside of him didn't sit well, something kept wandering back to her over and over again. The transfer was smooth, the woman who got him out of that hospital later introduced herself as Bianchi, his half-sister. That is when he got a few answers.
His name was Gokudera Hayato, he had a family, he had friends and he even had a personal doctor? Apparently, he hadn't had good health since he was a child so the said doctor, Shamal was it? Came and helped his body recover.
It took months till Shamal was able to start helping him remember things, after all, Hayato's photographic memory was and is something delicate. He was 28 years old, that was 28 years' worth of memories he forgot and had to remember, including the ones after he went MIA. So the doctor had a really really long job to do.
It was one night, Hayato was wondering around the Vongola's base, Shamal said that it would help to walk around and see familiar faces and he was right, he was able to remember a few pieces here and there, but it was still hard for him to remember bigger pieces of information or even important chunks of information.
A commotion called his attention as he slowly approached it, his breath failed once as he heard what they were talking about, every day, every single day since the first one, something was nagging about that woman, never forgetting her face, but no one saying anything about it, so now? Watching her lay in a coffin made him stop in his walk.
Tumblr media
Biting his lips as he looked at the delicate face, that woman he couldn't stop feeling like he was missing something important, and now... Watching her like that, something was slowly clicking and he couldn't, as he was in shock looking at the woman, his surroundings slowly muffling as his thoughts and vision closed into her face. He was pretty sure someone was trying to take him and to move him from the body.
When did he hold her hand? His body was moving as slowly as his mind was clicking the pieces in place. When did he pull the body into his arms? When did the tears start to fall?
Tumblr media
I love you. _____ ____, will you marry me?
What was that?! Why he couldn't remember her name?! Why he would ask to marry her?! WHO WAS HER?!
As someone tried to pull his body harder and away from the dead body, he couldn't release her. His mind working and overworking himself.
Tumblr media
Ahoona! LEAVE ME ALONE! As the teen walks away from the woman, annoyed. I'm fine! Also FOR FUCKING SAKES I'M NOT DATING MY DESK!
Shaking his head memory after memory, flowing like a Tsunami into his mind as the tears turned bigger and bigger, sobs leaving his lips, as soon turned into yells and screams. What was her name?! WHY CAN'T HE REMEMBER HER NAME?!
Tumblr media
I think... I will never forget him, but you are the reason I was able to move on, you are the reason for me to keep working so hard... You are my world. And I promise you, I will keep you safe. I will do everything I can to make you happy and I will love you with everything I have. Because you are my meaning... Miura Haru.
As the last piece clicked, his body shut down. The overload of emotions and information, after all, was 28 years of memories that he just experienced as his body fell into the floor.
It took days, for him to wake up and when he did, he wasn't the same. As he looks at the window and then the sky. What was the meaning of his world now? What he should do? His world was dead, murdered. And he knew, Hayato knew, he had no power to kill who did that to her. If I die... Would I be together with you? Or would I go to a different place? Why... Why has everything been taken from me?
His eyes turned dead, almost machine-like as Hayato didn't know what to do now, lost in his cursed memories. Because at least in those memories he was happy, he was with her. Almost like he was in a coma status, as he lay in bed, conscious, but not moving. Alive, but not living.
Hayato looked at the window, he has been in the hospital for a few months now as he wasn't sure who he was, all that they knew was the little they could find on his wallet. Name and from where he was, although the information was all false, but they still used the false name. A few days later he was finally found as he stares at the woman in front of him. "Who are you?" A nurse got in looking confused. "Oh miss? Are you lost? This patient doesn't have a family." - TYL bc I CAN.
[Unprompted ask] One r00d prompt after another. I don’t know if I did this one justice, but I sure did try! I hope I kick you in the feels.
Haru woke up to find herself in a hospital one day. Racking her brain, she could vaguely remember an explosion of some sort? She looked herself over to see bandages wrapped over every which way on her limbs. She couldn’t help but sigh in lament. “Surely he wouldn’t mind a scar or two… right? If he did, I married the wrong man.” She joked to herself, fighting depressing thoughts with something more light-hearted. Her stuff lay right beside her on a table.
Within the few months that Gokudera had gone missing without a word, Haru had done her best to fill in, but it was obvious that she could not do a perfect job. Not to disparage her own intelligence, but Gokudera was also extremely intelligent in his own right. That much she had to begrudgingly admit. Additionally, there were some things that required brute strength, something she did not have.
The most she could do is use her intelligence to quickly go through paperwork and make heads or tails of things. Whatever required brute force, she’d have to trouble someone else to get the job done. It would be a lie to say that Haru wasn’t a mess, overwork was evident in her face from all the all nighters she’d pull.
Gokudera probably thought he could go crazy with how busy he was when he filled in for Tsuna, who had passed away, but what about her? She now had to fill in FOR THE FILL IN! On top of that, she was riddled with worry about how her husband had been missing for months.
Even now the Vongola was struggling to stay afloat, but everyone was pitching in to help, and for that, she was grateful. For some time, Haru started acting as the proxy for the ailing Storm Guardian, stating that he had returned from a dangerous mission and needed time to recover. As his wife, she was speaking for him.
Of course, that was a lie. No one else knew except for a select few that Gokudera was missing in action. It was stressful to say the very least and she worried day and night about where that husband of hers was, but she never voiced a word of complaint to anyone. She had to stay strong and do her best for whenever Gokudera returned.
She would occasionally attend meetings and do her best to live her life as normally as she could, but things were never that easy. As she spearheaded her way to involving herself deeper in the mafia politics, the more dangerous things became for her. The more horrors she had to face. The very things that Gokudera had shielded her eyes from over the years.
She felt guilty for sure, but she also felt upset. Was she that untrustworthy of a wife that he didn’t want to tell her these things? No, she knew that it was likely a vain answer such as, ‘not wanting to make you worry too much.’ How silly. The moment they exchanged their marriage vows, they agreed to accept everything about the other. No matter how dangerous and scary things were, she would have to put up with it and push through.
This is how a Yakuza wife must feel in those movies. She couldn’t stay here for long. Taking her stuff from the side table, she climbed off the bed. With no one around, she went walking down the halls, searching for someone who could discharge her when she came to a sudden stop. There, staring out the window was a familiar figure. “Hayato?” She rushed over to his side, grabbing his face in her hands to get a good look at him. It’s him.
She recognized those eyes everywhere. Every scar she remembered (and a few new ones) were exactly where she remembered them to be. When he asked her who she was, she jumped back in surprise. Was this a joke? She searched his eyes and realized that he wasn’t joking. He couldn’t remember her. How much memory loss did he have? Was it that he forgot about her entirely, or he couldn’t recognize her? Did he forget about the Vongola?
Just how bad was his situation that he, with his incredibly memory, forgot everything? ‘It’s possible that his mind forced him to forget so he could focus on recovery.’ Did that mean he had to forget about her too?
Right, she probably gave him more stress than anything, huh? She felt like deadweight before, but she felt utterly useless now.
Next, a nurse came in to tell her that he didn’t have a family.
What nonsense was that? He had a family! He had a wife, and he had a half-sister, who was still alive, mind you. She was about to say something, but something came to mind. The nameplate aside his bed, the lack of a wedding band.
This man was her husband, but also wasn’t her husband at the same time. He had a new identity here at this hospital. He couldn’t remember her or the vows they exchanged back then. Perhaps, he’d be happier living out this life here unaware of the dangers his previous life offered him?
No, if his memory would ever return, he wouldn’t forgive her for leaving him there. She fiddled with her wedding band on her finger, hiding it from view. Yes, it was better this way if he didn’t remember a thing.
“No… I recognize him, he has a family. He has a half-sister who I can call to come pick him up.” She glanced at the hand that wasn’t wearing his wedding band one last time before she looked away. “He’d gone missing a few months ago and we’ve been looking everywhere like crazy.” She spoke as steadily as she could, but the shake in her voice couldn’t be disguised. Before tears welled up in her eyes, she bit her bottom lip hard enough that she could taste metal. “Please give me a moment, I’ll make the call.”
The woman left the room and made a call, making arrangements to bring him home, and telling for Bianchi to come with a different identity, one that would match the backstory of the identity Gokudera had according to what he carried in his wallet.
“You didn’t tell him? That you’re married?” Bianchi asked as she handed Haru a cup of coffee that she got from a vending machine. She had finished talking to the doctors about getting Gokudera discharged. They were getting him ready to leave.
“No, I thought it would be better for him not to know. I want him to focus on recovery.” Haru said as she took a sip of the bitter coffee. “Don’t you think you could help him recover by being by his side?” Bianchi questioned, unsure of why Haru was being this passive. Before, Haru would insist on being by his side, nursing him back to health. She would’ve fought tooth and nail to ensure his steady recovery.
It was something that Bianchi always liked about Haru, her earnest nature in caring for those she loved. It was something that she could relate to, after all. Unfortunately, Reborn was gone from this world.
For a time, Haru was the only one who could understand her feelings of the anxiety losing a loved one, but that didn’t comfort her. After all, the one Haru ‘lost’ at the time was her own brother. So Haru’s passive behavior was questionable.
A bitter smile flashes across Haru’s face, her thumbs rubbing against the warmth of the coffee cup. “You know, I’m going to do it. Be a messenger.”
“You-! Absolutely not! Who put such a stupid idea in your head!? You know what happened to the last messenger! They killed him!”
The younger woman didn’t react, taking another sip of her coffee. “They demand to see someone who has some rank within the Vongola. I may not be an able fighter, nor am I heavily involved with politics… but I am the wife of the right hand man. That in itself gives me enough rank to qualify. This is to show our ‘sincerity’ about wanting to proceed with peace talks.”
This was a woman who was determined to do something for the sake of others. She may be somewhat of a coward, but Haru always seemed to have a heart of a lion if it meant she had to protect something. In this case, she had her friends and her family to protect.
Haru had the confidence in being able to hold her own in peace talks, but she’d be thinking too optimistically to assume the Millefiore weren’t simply asking for another sacrifice to make an example of.
Logically speaking, she was the best option. They could fulfill their sick desires and the Vongola, in theory, wouldn’t lose much. She wasn’t a fighter. She historically wasn’t involved in politics. She only involved herself recently due to Gokudera being MIA. Sure, the Vongola would lose some face, but their battle strength won’t weaken with her death.
Who knows? Maybe they’ll become stronger in the name of vengeance. Wouldn’t that be nice if that’s what they needed to win?
“Even so, that doesn’t mean that you-“ “I know my status. My rank is empty. We can lose another guardian or an able fighter. Letting me go would yield the smallest damage. I’m sure if Hayato regained his memories, he’d volunteer himself to go, but… Bianchi… I’ve already lost him once, haven’t it? I can’t lose him again, don’t make me do it.” Haru’s stony countenance shattered as she broke down into tears.
Did she want to die? No. Did she fear death? Yes, but she feared losing Hayato far more than that. She already thought she’d lost him before and she refused to send him off to his death a second time.
Bianchi quietly pat her back, understanding the conviction the woman had to keep her husband safe. She understood the sacrifice that Haru was steeling herself for in order to ensure the Vongola didn’t lose out on too much.
She understood it all logically, but she still didn’t want to admit to it. This girl, was her brother’s wife. That meant she was her dear sister-in-law. Why did things have to turn out this way? It was incredibly vexing and unfair.
“He’d never forgive you.” He would never forgive Bianchi either for letting Haru go as a messenger. She hoped that by saying this, she could shake Haru’s resolve.
The brown-haired woman pulled away from Bianchi, wiping away her fallen tears, steeling her heart once more. “The dead don’t ask for forgiveness. I’ll find a way to convince everyone. If we’re lucky, they won’t touch me, a non-combatant.”
That’s a lie.
“It’s too dangerous to send a guardian there, and they’re needed on other missions.” That’s the truth, and she’d know, because she had a hand at assigning guardians to different tasks. She’d purposefully sent many of them away so they couldn’t stop her and volunteer themselves instead.
As much as she believed in their strength, it was too much to assume anyone could get out alive when in the middle of the Millefiore base with all their forces looking down on you. It was much too risky, and organizing a rescue mission would be even more tricky.
She believed it best to simply use someone as a discardable piece and she nominated herself.
“Don’t tell him about anything. Let him heal at his own pace. Hopefully, he’ll never remember about me, that way, he won’t ever had to lose me.” You can’t lose someone if you can’t remember them.
What a blessing in disguise. “There has to be another way.”
Haru shook her head. If there was a plan that had a good probability of succeeding, Haru would gladly take the option, but there wasn’t. The Millefiore was just too strong and their hands reached far. It wasn’t worth the risk of losing a guardian or two for a plan that had less of a 10% chance of succeeding.
“I won’t hesitate to sacrifice myself to protect everyone for a while longer. I’m sure Tsuna-san and Hayato would’ve done the same. Think of it as me giving back for all the times I was protected.” She was going to make herself truly useful.
“If… he ever regains his memories… tell him I’m sorry for being selfish.” She didn’t want to lose him again. Hopefully her sacrifice would push the Vongola in the direction of victory.
Surely, he could find someone better. Someone who could help him more than she could.
“Those bastards! Who let her go through with this!?”
“How did she die?”
“The tests show poison. She hid it within her ring. Where did she get her hands on such a thing?” Eyes turned to look at a certain individual who said nothing.
She could only remember something Haru said a couple days ago:
“If they’re serious about a peace treaty, I’ll do fine. If it’s a ruse, I’ll make sure they can’t get any useful information out of me.” She fiddled with her ring that had a mechanism to inject her with lethal poison should the situation go down south.
It was a bit morbid, but adding this feature to her wedding ring was poetic in her mind. Before she could be used, she would save herself with death.
Bianchi looked down at the woman laying in the casket that the Millefiore had so ‘graciously’ sent to them filled with Edelweiss flowers, symbolizing courage and devotion.
“Don’t let her sacrifice go to waste. We have work to do.”
I never played the games and I saw yesterday that Otoya's father is actually Shining (yeah I'm very late in the news), I'm shocked lmao do you know if the games have other important info the anime didn't show?
Tumblr media
Oh my, where do I even start… Tbh, the anime is the tip of the iceberg of what Utapri has to offer, plot-wise. Really, the games have lots of content and potential even if Broccol doesn’t explore it but lol what can we do. I highly suggest you to look up some reviews of the game routes so that you can get the most of it, details etc, it’s really interesting. Overall, I’ll just throw the basics under the Read More ^^
Otoya - One of the charas with the most complicated story arc that Broccoli forgets to bring up even though everyone is interested in. His mom (Kotomi) is a composer, just like Haruka, and she used to be Shining’s partner (music and love-wise), but when he had to choose over career or love, he chose career and left her. He didn’t know that she was pregnant though, so she had a son (Otoya) on her own. She suffered a plane crash though, and everyone assumed she was dead. He was raised by his aunt until she died and he went on an orphanage. In the games, he lowkey knows that Shining is his dad, but he doesn’t talk to him about it (I wouldn’t either lol tbh Shining is an ass for knowing that Otoya is his son later and still leaving him on an orphanage when he could be raising the boy but ok).
Cecil - Yeah, so you know the thing about the plane crash and everyone assuming Kotomi was dead? Well, turns out she wasn’t! She actually ended up in Agnapolis, but suffered amnesia and forgot everything. The king and her eventually fell in love with each other and then they had Cecil (yes, he’s Otoya’s half bro). However, ppl in the island were xenophobic af and hated japanese people, so Kotomi went back to Japan to avoid those weirdos who wanted her away (or dead), but Cesshi stayed bc he’s the heir after all. But his uncles or smth didn’t consider him a true heir bc he’s half-japanese, so they turned him into a cat with a magic spell and sent him back to Japan :/ There he met Haruka and her songs brought him back to human form again :) which means he’s still the heir lol @ his relatives try harder.
Masa - basically his mom was weak on health when he was younger, and he had to take care of everything, including his little sister Mai (she’s cute and he makes stuffed animals to her from time to time as gifts even after becoming an idol). His dad is a bitch on the games OK. That servant that appeared, Jii - everyone who played the games hates him. To represent my feelings on him while playing Repeat, I made this little art piece hope u appreciate:
Tumblr media
In the anime Mai pretty much disappeared, but in the games she’s still there, so she’s the reason why Masa is still avoiding his dad and the duty of becoming the heir, because he knows he can’t get disowned, since his sister will be the next in the line and forced to do things bc of that. He loves her a lot, so this is why he doesn’t do it.
Natsuki - If I remember well, he was raised in France until he was 5?? My memory on this is kinda bad. His parents have a farm and this explains why he loves animals so much. His arc was Satsuki, and once he disappeared, everything became a filler (which is very sad, he’s such a good chara;;). Also he and Syo didn’t know each other when they were kids.
Tokiya - Ok so I know many Tokiya stans are super hardcore and know every little thing about him, so if I mess up I’m really sorry ;_; my memory isnt that good ok, but I’ll try my best. Tokiya’s dad never liked the idea of him becoming an idol, and when he decided to continue to go after his dream, his dad left him and his mom. He and Shining knew each other before bc they worked together on something that I forgot rn, while he was HAYATO. Shining noticed that he felt very unhappy and offered him help (and a chocolate cake, which was cute). Tokiya denied until he broke down and admitted that his life was shit, so Shining helped him.
Ren - Tbh his story isn’t much different from the anime and what it said. He’s the 3rd son, feels useless, he and Masa knew each other since they were kids, etc. Oh, and he doesn’t like chocolates. Since he was born on Valentine’s Day, everyone offered him chocolate to the point that he couldn’t stand it anymore, because he felt that he had to eat every chocolate that ppl offered in gratitude lol. He does like bitter chocolate though.
Syo - @ anime when will you quit playing games with us and BRING KAORU TO THE ANIME BYE. Ok so he has a twin brother (mentioned in the anime). What the anime doesn’t mention is that he has a heart condition, and if he gets too excited and stuff, his heart starts to freak out. Doctors didn’t even expect him to survive past 10yo or something. He hated himself for being so weak and short, but seeing Ryuuya on TV motivated him. He started learning how to fight and decided to become an idol to get closer to him. He survived past doctors’ expectations, despite of the odds. Kaoru studies medicine bc he wants to be a doctor and help Syo, and people in the same condition. Kaoru also feels kinda guilty for being healthier and taller despite being the youngest twin. Their father is a stylist in Shining’s Agency, and their mother is an orchestra conductor if I’m not mistaken. His heart condition was healed in Utapri Repeat through a surgery.
Reiji - has sister and mom, and they own a restaurant. Studied at Shining Academy like the members above ^^^. While he was there, he met Aine and 2 other guys, and they became friends. Reiji debuted with one of the friends as his composer, and Aine debuted with the other. They both became idols, but Aine fell in depression over the idol life, feeling lonely and empty, to the point where he tried to commit suicide. His last call was directed to Reiji, but he was busy working and didn’t answer. Aine was never seen again and assumed dead, so Reiji blames himself to this day. Their other 2 friends also blame him. He may look happy and all, but it’s pretty much a facade and he feels bad about it to this day.
Ranmaru - He used to be part of the Rich Kids Club™ with Ren and Masa, but his dad was betrayed and his family became bankrupt. His dad died because of stress, but Ranmaru assumed the debts in his place and worked his ass off to pay it. Since most of the bands he was in disbanded bc of girls, he’s kinda bitchy with females at first. Really likes cats. His hair is dyed and he uses a contact lenses to make one of his eyes to seem purple.
Ai - Hey, do you remember that Aine story? Turns out Aine didn’t die either! (never trust deaths in Utapri) He was saved from drowning by his uncle, but he got in coma. His uncle, a doctor/scientist, discovered that he refused to wake up because he was scared of the world and scared of feelings/love. His uncle then creates an android (Ai or A.I.) and connected their emotions. This way, Ai could discover more about the world and feelings, and show Aine that the world wasn’t that bad. Their voices and appearance are the same (poor Reiji), but they’re completely different people. Through music, Ai managed to wake up Aine, but freaked out later that he wouldn’t be useful anymore. The uncle/doctor reassured him that he was important and never meant as a replacement. So basically Aine is alive in Ai’s route, but not in Reiji’s route, and we may never even see him bc Broccoli is the best and wasting potential.
Camus - a count just like he loves to say. Serves the Silk Queen and really cares for her. Didn’t really have a childhood bc of training day and night to serve the queen, and his own family is full of his enemies, one trying to take down the other. His horse can be turned into a dog as well (named Alexander). He was sent to spy on Shining and to see if he could find some way to get magic and boost his queen’s magic bc it was almost gone. Cesshi almost married the queen bc.. Well, the queen needed magic and he had the muses, plus those bitches on Agnapolis wanted Cesshi away, so they arranged a marriage, but since Camus managed to get some magic (Haruka’s songs wow), it didn’t happen. He knows about Ranmaru’s past btw, and knows about the whole Shining-Kotomi thing (Silk Quen knows about it too).
THIS ACTUALLY BECAME LONGER THAN EXPECTED OMG IM SORRY but really this is still not everything and there’s a lot more to explore from Utapri and the games/Drama CDs. Hope this helps you anyway!
Trial 2 recap
Trial Two: The Case of Amai Ai
After filtering into the trial room, the students assess the extent of each other’s injuries (or lack thereof, in special cases) from the Zombie Apocalypse motive. After some discussion between the students and concern expressed over the battered shape of particular participants like Shion and Iseri, Yoseyagi calls for the trial to begin.
Immediately, Ume goes to thank the killer and Ai for their sacrifice that ended the motive. Haruka jumps to his defense while this earns the ire of most of the class, but they agree to move onto the discussion of evidence and properly start the trial. The class decides to try and begin discussing the order of events first, which prompts Yukio to explain that they believe the scene of the crime is the Kitchen and that there was a Bat decorated with nails and a Bloodied, Herb-Covered knife at the scene. This leads to Shion theorizing that the killer was trying to hide the murder weapon and sends a nervous glance to Daiki. They discuss the logistics of the killer wanting to hide the weapon, because why would they when it seemed so obvious, and Shishio also jumps to his crush’s defense that if he had committed the murder - the crime scene would have been cleaned properly. This prompts Haruka to tell everyone that she had borrowed bleach from Daiki. Yukio also takes the time to remind everyone that Ai was stabbed 5 times in the chest and presumably was knocked unconscious or possibly killed by the bat - squashing the theory that there could have been any struggle involved with her death.
Keeping this in mind, Junji calls attention to bloodied footprints that lead from the kitchen to Daiki’s room - which makes Shion and Daiki even more anxious. Yukio brings up that they found a white scrap of fabric that’s been burned at the edges and theorizes that it was an article of clothing burned in the oven. Suspicion shifts entirely to Daiki, who starts insisting that his clothes were bloodied but he disposed of them in Natsuki’s room, which prompts him to explain that he lost a fist fight with Asaba which caused him to be injured. Given that Asaba is already dead and working with Yoseyagi and the twins, him committing murder likely wouldn’t warrant a trial like this. Daiki was reportedly the last person known to see Ai alive but found her asleep on the floor of the kitchen.
Haruka brings up the topic of the bloodied bat, as nobody seemed to find a source for it previously. Yukio points out Natsuki visibly looking nervous and asks them if they know where the bat came from, which they explain that they received it from a locker but had left it safely in their room. Some people find this suspicious, but Yoseyagi breaks in and asks if Ai never told Natsuki “her big secret”. After pressing by the class, Kiino pipes up and reveals that Ai was actually the SHSL Phantom Thief, rather than the SHSL Tourist. This leads into a discussion of Ai stealing the bat and more questions about how the murder was being instigated. People start to suggest that maybe Ai was planning to set up a murder, but had the tables turned on her. Ume points out that bleach, if mixed with the right chemicals, could knock someone heavily unconscious.
Kaze asks Kiino to run out and grab all of Daiki’s shoes to count, revealing that there were 5 pairs in the closet, despite Daiki previously stating that he only owns 5, meaning there should have been 4 in the closet and one set on his feet. This leads back into the discussion of clothing and shoe sizes, to which Daiki adds in that he has his shoes custom made. Hayato wants the class to try on the shoes based on height and who wears white attire - which realistically points to Natsuki, Ogata, Dementria, Junji, Iseri, and Kaze as suspects. Yukio takes the time to quickly have Yoseyagi clarify that a living student killing another student is what will constitute a trial, which is confirmed. They also ask if Asaba would count if he killed, to which the answer is no. While shocking the class, they quickly allow Haruka to open more questioning to Ume about who was there with him when he discovered the body - that person being Ayane. She then points out that body discovery announcements are made only after three people (not including the killer) discover the body. Daiki had come across Ai ‘sleeping’ and, while she didn’t look dead, was completely unresponsive. Thus, it could only be concluded that Ai had been dead by the time Daiki found her sleeping in the kitchen with Haruka. People speculate that the real cause of death was poisoning with the bleach but Hayato and Junji, among others, explain that there would have been blood in her mouth and throat if that was the case.
Yukio notices Shion acting nervously and continuously sparing glances to Daiki again, prompting them to press her for the reasoning. She nervously defends the Crime Scene Cleaner by saying it just couldn’t be him, to which the class tries discussing the burnt fabric again - but with no conclusive results. Shion asks Yukio if it was a rag or clothing, to which they respond they only know it’s white. Haruka steps up to plate and brings them back to the discussion of the crime scene and how, if Daiki found her without the blood previously, she was killed elsewhere and the scene was staged to frame him. Ume bounces off of this and asks Daiki if he has anyone here he would like to protect, which he affirms, and prompts the Florist to accuse Shishio of the murder and Daiki as an accomplice. Hayato remarks that Daiki is also close to Shion (suggesting maybe he was trying to date her, much to the court’s brief amusement) and casts suspicion on that trio for possible involvement. Shishio retaliates towards Ume and says that he would try to protect Haruka, but the retaliating accusation only casts further suspicion on him.
Accusations fly back and forth between Ume and Shishio and the court almost seems bought until Yoseyagi claims that she wants to start the voting. Everyone becomes alarmed and suspicious by this and several people start demanding more time to come to a conclusion while Shishio rants about how this was all unfair. With more class-wide squabbling, Haruka decides to ask Yoseyagi about when the zombies deactivated to try and gain more clues. The Lady happily claims they ended with the murder, leading Haruka to reveal that she saw Kiino dragging away a lifeless zombie. Yukio pipes up and explains that the zombies were really intricate dolls due to the ‘Don’t Touch The Art’ rule they had to abide by - causing the goat twins to bicker in the background and for some confusion on relevancy.
Confirming that the time of the murder was before Ai was found ‘sleeping’, making it impossible for Daiki to be involved, Haruka asks him a final question: “How life-like was Ai-chan’s corpse?”. He responds: “In like... a coma or somethin... She looked normal like usual…” Haruka’s response?
“I do a good job, don’t I?”
Yoseyagi jumps in again and gleefully tells the class it’s their time to vote for the blackened, to which they all vote the Mortician with confusion and shock. Once all of the votes are counted, Takenaka Haruka is revealed as the Blackened. This is confirmed by Yoseyagi playing the film back, showing the events of the murder. Once the reel has ended, Haruka goes on to explain her motives while her classmates suffer whiplash. She explains to them that Ai - along with the rest of the class - was absolutely miserable as a result of the motive. She wanted to rid of the zombies and used Ai’s vulnerability to kill her and see it as a sacrifice. Her idea to frame Daiki came from him saying he was going to cook in the kitchen. She wouldn’t have confessed if not for Ume, who she wanted to see survive their imprisonment.
A majority of the class are horrified by this realization and are sympathetic towards Haruka. Ume and Natsuki go to comfort her and many of her classmates say that they’ll honor her wishes to watch after Ume following her passing. In the meantime, Yukio remembers that they retrieved a box Ayane asked for in their room that could only be opened by tears. Taking advantage of the disheartening scenario, several students contribute some form of tears to help them finally open the box.
Breaking up the emotional moment, Lady Inertia is summoned inside to fight in Haruka’s honor as the helper. Instead, she offers herself up peacefully for the students to kill, to many of their horrors. The students plead to not fight the helper, but it falls on deaf ears. An enraged Kiiro and Yoseyagi connect mannequins to Lady Inertia’s life force and sick them on the students to force them to fight. Most of them take up the offered weapons, with Ayane also toting the Armor of Protection that they can use to guard up to two people from an incoming attack to halve the damage.
Battle begins and, for the first half, mostly everyone appears to be doing a significant amount of damage with their attacks (with the exception of Ume and Iseri who initially chose not to fight, and Kaze who simply has poor aim today). Ume sustains a minuscule amount of damage thanks to Ayane guarding him against a mannequin. Asaba is revealed to have a powerful mystery weapon that does a fair amount of damage, while Ayane hitting The Armor with her own weapon amplifies their attack power during their current turn. Lady Intertia is slowly encased in ice and cries out to ‘R’ for forgiveness. Right before being encased completely, she sends out a powerful attack intended towards Yukio (with Ayane guarding them), knocking the Whistleblower down for considerable damage despite the help from the Fashion Designer. After a few more attacks from the class, Lady Inertia transforms into an ice dragon and sends an ice blast towards Shion and Daiki - to which Ayane also blocks but they still sustain nasty ice-related injuries. Her attack patterns become more and more violent as she comes closer to death, even leaving Hayato to sustain injuries alongside his other peers. Iseri comes to after this and manages to land in a hit and the class fights back with a similar ferocity to prevent them from suffering more.
Ume, who had been sidelined while the battle rages, become impassioned while he blames the ice dragon for taking Haruka from him. In a rage, he charges forward and lays into the monster with his gardening sheers and lands the finishing blow on Lady Inertia. He continues stabbing into the lifeless corpse until Asaba rushes forward to point his weapon at the Florist while screaming to the class that Lady Iseri’s head is his - before he claims it and runs off. Most of the students are too stunned or weakened to follow with the exception of Kaze. This leaves the rest of the students to watch helplessly as Haruka gives her final goodbyes and is sent to her fiery execution. (How unfortunate that almost a quarter of the survivors have pyrophobia…)
Following Haruka being cremated alive, there’s major emotional fallouts or general breakdowns in most of the students as well as the goat twins. Some, like Natsuki and Ume, are left to their own devices to cope with the loss of their friend; while students like Hayato have to be calmed from painful memories resurfacing. By the end of this long day, the class finds themselves falling apart at the seams.
