Leafpool: She is more special and sacred than the virgin mary. She has everything. Daughter of the first protagonist, ex boyfriend for me to hate, TONS of wlw situationships<3, a lifetime of tragedy, and some of the most gorgeous canon art to exist.

Crookedstar: Crookedstar is a trans woman to me. Her life is genuinely just so tragic and fucked, I love it. The erins asked: “How much truama, death and misfortune can you fit into a single cat?” and then they wrote Crookedstar’s promise.

Tawnypelt: GIRLS WHO HATE THEIR FATHERS. The erins dont love her like I do.

Tallstar: I love old men… I fucking love seeing older characters and how much they’ve changed from their younger selves. Tallstar is considered one of, if not the most peaceful leader in the clans. But also when he was like 19 he went on a quest to fucking murder a guy :3

Mothwing: Her novella delving into her relationship with Hawkfrost was so good and heartbreaking.

Heathertail: Daughter of leader, sister of a major villian, and former love interest of a protagonist! Why did she fall off the second po3 ended. She’s shown to be very compassionate and willing to put her own feelings aside for the sake of others. Would’ve honestly prefered her as a mate to Lionblaze or get a pov herself over the nothing we got.

Blackstar: *Murders an elderly woman trying to stop me from kidnapping children. Supports a dictator openly abusing/neglecting children and the elderly. Murders a man for refusing to kill mixed raced children- then tells said man’s sister that she will never be safe.* Man…. i sure do feel bad for abusing and killing all of those people…. Good thing I will face no consequences and proceed to be made leader, where I will have even more power over the wellbeing of others.

They never did, but they had a very… fleeting but intimate relationship. Quince is grieving and Bluefur feels so overwhelmed by the duties in her clan. They’ve always thought of eachother since but never met again.

Tigerclaw: My name sake<3 The angst of his earlier life is so, so facinating to me. Starclan being straight fucked up and decided killing him is their only option? He was a kid and they saw him as a lost cause from the start. They never tried any other methods, never tried to steer him in the right direction or… even just take it into their own hands and kill him themself, which they have SHOWN they’re capable of.

They watched all the the horrific crimes he commited, entirely aware they were going to happen. Thats. Fucking. Horrifying. Starclan is scary as shit… and his death? FANTASTIC. I only wish he’d gotten lives from cats he killed so that him coming back to life to suffer over and over was an actual curse from Starclan and not blessings. They knew how he would die and they gave him the lives to torture him for his sins…

Flywhisker: Adhd girlies. Painfully relate to that feeling of the constant scolding for never being “good enough” because I prefer to do things a certain way or struggle to focus. So, SO happy for her when she left the clans! You don’t have to prove yourself to anyone! Hope she’s happy and warm indoors with her brother💕

Bluestar: Get behind me women with mental disorders. I will defend you. Beautifully complex and tragic character, my favorite written in the series. Literally can't think of a single other female character in handled as seriously and with the complexity of Bluestar. (Although her super edition was a bit of an L with how others treated her, it ultimately makes her breakdown even more painful.)

Leopardstar: As a kid I hated her and loved Blackfoot, now I hate Blackfoot and love her. #feminism. But seriously I think she has way more going for her than he ever has. Her father is a medicine cat who hates violence, the DRASTIC change in Riverclan's view of outsiders upon Crookedstar's death and her leadership. Her already having a position of power before proving she's unworthy of it. (Unlike Blackstar who gets rewarded for his racism and violence by being made leader afterwards) and the fact she has to interact with her victims on a daily basis after what she did.

The writings attempts to redeem her are really lame and dismissive of the actually damage she did, but at the very least they TRIED to do something else with her. Personally, I would have loved to see her assassinated by Mistyfoot. Just like her mother Bluestar was almost killed all those moons ago by Tigerclaw... The parallels of violence for power and violence for peace. A victim repeating the actions of the very man who killed her brother to put an end to what he started in Riverclan.... A shadow in Riverclan, if you will. (<-Pretending erin hunter has hired me to rewrite their series)

Windclan: Tunneling as a concept and inviting outsiders into their clan so friendly and casual makes the clan seems so much more diverse than the others. It always stuck out to me!

Do you use e-mail often? I use it for eight hours, five days a week for work, so yes.

Do you hear any animals right now? I’m in a Starbucks inside a mall situated in the middle of a busy highway. It would be very unlikely to hear any animals right now.

Are you in a well-lit room? Sure, I’d say this establishment has good lighting. There’s no light directly above me unlike the other seats, but it’s okay in this case as I don’t want other people seeing me take surveys.

Is your trashcan full? The main one we use at home just got full, so the last time I checked this morning my mom was airing it out.

What was the last crunchy thing you consumed? My chicken barbecue sandwich from last night.

Did you view anything disturbing today? Hmm, I guess so? I wanted to entirely redo one part of my embroidery piece since I wasn’t happy with how I did it, so I had to remove the threads and stuff. When they were all gone the template was filled with holes and it looked like one of those trypophobia photos. I’m not personally disturbed by that phenomenon, but I know a lot of people are.

Are there any holiday decorations in your house? Yeah, we’ve had our Christmas tree up since the beginning of November. We also usually put a wreath up our door but idk why my mom didn’t this year.

When was the last time you had a terrible headache? Last night, because I had not eaten all day. 

Have you recently put lotion on your hands? No. I don’t like the feeling of lotion, so I don’t apply it on me a lot, if at all.

Are you hungry? Not so much, actually. I don’t feel too hungry today; I didn’t even finish my breakfast and that’s the only meal I’ve had so far today, and it’s already 4 PM.

Is it rainy where you're at right now? No, it’s quite fair. The sun’s not too strong anymore because of the time, but it’s still very much bright out.

Do you carry a purse? If so, describe what it looks like. I take a wallet with me. It’s pink, made of fake leather, has three main slots inside, and it also has some tiny bite marks on the outer edges from when Cooper was a lot younger.

Is your cell phone on vibrate? For certain notifications only, like texts and Viber.

Is your dishwasher full? We don’t use a dishwasher.

When is the last time you saw someone you like/love. Around a week and a half ago.

Do you like to wear gloves? No, I find them too itchy and I don’t need to wear them anyway.

What are your thoughts on Avenged Sevenfold? No opinion. I never listened to them; though I am reminded of this one mutual I used to have on Tumblr/Twitter. She used to be a wrestling fan and was a part of our main circle, but she gradually shifted her main fandom to Avenged Sevenfold. By the time she cemented her new interest she then went on a huge unfollowing spree of wrestling fans on her feed and she apparently PM’d each person she intended to unfollow, including me. I remember her explaining that she was now in a different fandom and was gonna have to stop following me which I found...kinda extra to be honest lmao because nobody does that, but I appreciate the effort to approach each one of us, I guess.

Are you wearing anything pink right now? Nope, but my wallet is pink and so is my keyboard cover.

Do you like to swim in the ocean? I prefer beaches, but sure.

What is the creepiest bug you've ever saw? Cockroaches.

Where were you two hours after you got up, and what were you doing there? I needed to go to the office today because my team and I needed to pack some stuff to seed to certain media. It was the first time I got to visit the place and it was sooooooo homey and pretty :) I wish we can be allowed to work in the office soon; it would be best for my mental health at this point.

Have you ever played fetch with a dog? We were able to teach Cooper how to pick up items that we throw but he’s still slowly learning that he actually has to give it back to us, haha.

Do you play games on your computer? No, my laptop isn’t equipped for games. I tried downloading Sims 4 when they made it free for a few weeks back in 2018, but my laptop’s fan started whirring like crazy and the battery got drained super fast. The entire period of me booting it up and then deleting it took like, a literal 15 minutes.

What is the last video game that you played? Mario Kart 8 on the Switch. I want to get myself Switch games as gifts, but I’m just so stingy towards myself hahaha.

request: you said you write, right? i had this idea a few days ago and i've just been asking around for anyone to write it. can i request a five fic where the reader works with gloria in the commission and has a lil crush on him? and she helps him escape?

a/n: i use a bunch of quotes from the actual episode (ep. 6) and idk how rights work but this is just fanfiction !! no harm intended !! but for the anon, thanks for giving me some prompts because i don’t think i could’ve thought of this on my own! <3 also, i can’t with titles. i actually can’t.

Sighing, you rolled in another cart full of pneumatic tubes for Gloria. It had been your third delivery that day, and it was barely even lunch yet. Noting your frustrated manner, Gloria gave you a small smile. “Lighten up, (y/n), break starts in about an hour.” You returned her grin, but lacked the enthusiasm behind it. You hated working at the Commission, even if you had only been there for about 2 years. Ever since your mother, who also had served the Commission, broke her contract early, she signed you off instead for 5 years. Ever since you were 12, day after day you spent sorting tubes into their designated tunnels. It was utterly boring and constantly you fantasised about getting promoted to case managers. They were always reading something interesting, which you would take over your current job any day.

“Based on that determination, the case manager sends instructions via pneumatic tube to temporal assassins like you formerly were, Number Five.” you heard the Handler’s ever so monotone voice. You were sorting through the tubes on the bottom of the cart, but you couldn’t manage to see who the Handler was talking to. “But, as you’re going to be a case manager you don’t have to worry about that.”

As soon as you heard those words, you almost bursted at the seams with jealousy. “The Handler is promoting someone to case manager even though I’m right here??” you thought. Angrily, you stood up to give a death stare to whoever took your spot. The anger disappeared, however, when you realised it was a boy your age.

And shit, he was cute.

You could feel your face heat up as everyone in the tube room looked at you. Gloria, in confusion, The Handler, in annoyance, and the boy, in intrigue. You forced your eyes to look away from the boy, and to the tube you were holding. Even as you did so, you couldn’t get his piercing eyes and his wide smirk out of your head. You listened as the Handler went on with the tour. 

“So, any queries?”

The next time you saw him, you were nearly scared shitless. You were in the middle of polishing the tunnels when you turned around to find him at a proximity too close for strangers. You yelped and stepped back, glancing at Gloria, who was preoccupied with her typewriter. You turned to the boy, who was staring at you as if he was trying to figure you out. “Um, hi!” You started, offering your hand. “I guess you’re the new case manager here at HQ. I’m (y/n).”

He grasped your hand as if you were made of glass. Even so, such a small brush of fingers made your heart rate shoot skyward. 

“Five. Five Hargreeves. You work with the pneumatic tubes, I assume? Although I’m sure you do most of the work; no offence, but you look much younger than your colleague.”

You couldn’t tell if that was a compliment or not. “Oh, um, thanks? Gloria’s been here since I was born. I can’t see why anyone would want to stay here, though; The Commission is utter garbage.” you rambled on. Five’s eyes glinted in curiosity. You stopped your rant when you noticed the smile on his face threatening to widen. “What?”

He chuckled. “Oh, nothing, I’ve just never met someone in the Commission who hated it. Except maybe Hazel.” He gestured to the tube he was carrying. “Do you mind if I send this?” 

You blinked, not having been entirely focused on the conversation at hand and more on how to keep your cheeks from blazing pink. “Yeah! Sure!” You watched as his eyes flickered in concentration over the numbers. Yeah, you definitely had it bad for this boy you just met (to be fair, everyone else in the Commission was either an asshole or looked like an old hobo) [a/n lil did u know that 5 is both lmao].

“I’m afraid that’s not procedure.” Shit. The Handler. She smiled, taking the tube out of his hands and then glaring at you. “Seriously, what is her problem?” you thought. “Five, meet Gloria. Gloria, this is Number Five.” 

Gloria, well aware of your little crush, nudged you. “Look at you! A deadly little thing. So glad we decided to close the contract on your life, right (y/n)?” 

Contract? What contract? You looked at Five, eyebrows furrowed. He stared at his feet unmoving. That is, until the Handler read out the paper. “Karl Weber? Now tell me, why unfortunate Karl?” 

If arrogance could be a human face, it would be the face Five made before elaborating his decision. He looked up, locking eyes with you. “Karl Weber is the butcher at the shop where Captain Ernst A. Lehmann acquires his weekly roast. If he dies, the shop goes down to his son, who never washes his hands, which is disgusting. So he’s the one that gives his captain the roast, and that gives him food poisoning, which makes him late for work, which delays the takeoff. To make up for lost time, the Hindenburg flies to a weather front of high electrical charge and humidity–”

“and the static electricity inside the aircraft makes it a virtual tinderbox, leading to the sparking of the engine which makes it explode!” you exclaimed, finally understanding. Too late, you realised that all three of them were staring at you again. “(y/n)!” the Handler hissed. “Can’t you have enough decency to let Five finish speaking? I told you to stop looking inside files, you fool! This is why you’ll never get to be anything more than a pneumatic peasant!���

Your face crumbled, and even Five staring at you in amazement couldn’t get your hopes up. You were never going to be a case manager if the Handler had anything to do with it. Under Gloria’s orders, you shuffled back to the front office, where you were in charge of typing out templates for the Commission orders. You did notice, however, that Five’s almost starstruck gaze followed you out.

What felt like your 20,395th tube was just put into the last delivery of the day. Time was fickle at HQ, and it had felt like 10,000 years before you could finally go home. You were just putting your overcoat on when Dot stormed into the room. You narrowed your eyes. You never liked Dot, she was way too loyal to the Handler. You listened to her urgent whisper. 

“Gloria! Get this to Hazel and Cha Cha immediately. The handler knows that Five is up to something.” 

“Up to something. Huh.” you thought. “This could be interesting.”

Interjecting, you shot Dot a look. “That’s ridiculous, Dot. Why would he betray the commission when he just got here?” 

Dot scowled at you. “No one asked you, (y/n), just deliver the tube.” She said, sauntering out of the room in a hurry.

Gloria put a hand on your shoulder, flashing a unsettling smile you hadn’t seen in a while. “I’m sorry (y/n), but Dot might be right. Now’s not the time for your crush to cloud your judgement. I think we might have to exterminate him now.” She walked over to the tunnels, searching for the right one. Panic overtook you, and you stormed over, grabbing the nearest thing (which happened to be a stapler) and bashed it on Gloria’s head, knocking her out cold.

“I never would have labelled you as the violent type.”

You whipped around, seeing Five stare at you with a smug grin. Your eyes widened. “I-Listen! I didn’t actually mean to hurt her, but they were trying to–”

“I know. I overheard everything.” He stated, walking past you to take the tube from Gloria. You could feel your heart drop into your stomach as you stammered. “E-everything?” 

He turned back to face you, the smile growing. “Everything. By the way, I think you’re cute too.” 

You exhaled, feeling faint. Blinking, you stared back at him. “So what now?” 

He opened the tube, reading it with a satisfactory expression. “Now, I’m going to save the world. But first, I gotta throw Hazel and Cha Cha off my scent. Do me a favour and order them to kill each other.”

You nodded, understanding the diversion. You ran over to the typewriter and jotted down orders hastily. Putting them into tubes, you handed the orders to Five, who sent them into the tunnels. He turned to you.

“Well, I guess this is goodbye then. I’m off to prevent the apocalypse.” 

You beamed at him, kissing his cheek. “Go save the world, Five.”

Suddenly, you heard a gun cock behind you. Your body froze. You shut your eyes, willing it not to be who you thought it would be. The coarse voice of the Handler made you want to crawl into a ball and never leave. 

“You know that’s not how we do things here.” She spat. You couldn’t see her face, but you imagined it was writhing in caked makeup and rage. 

“You can’t change things to come, Five. I truly find it so odd that you can’t shed this fantasy. You’re a first rate pragmatist! It’s so sad, now, that I’m going to have to kill you and this little traitor here.”

Your eyes shot open as Five grabbed your arm and jumped through space to behind the Handler. You couldn’t even process what was happening when he grabbed a grenade and threw it at her. “Hold on!” He shouted, teleporting again.

The last thing you saw was the Handler’s face being wiped off of all the smugness she had. Then, you were at the briefcase room. You were pulled along by Five, who grabbed a briefcase and threw another grenade into the room. You two ran out, Five setting a date and time. He locked eyes with you right before you were enveloped in a blue light.

When you opened your eyes, you were in a bedroom. You looked out the window and saw a city outside. Your eyes were then drawn to the probability equations that were scribbled onto the walls and ceiling. You knew these equations all too well; they were calculating the likelihood of a change in the timeline. 

Beside you, Five sat up, holding his side. You two stared at each other for what felt like forever before you spoke softly. “Why...did you take me with you?” You murmured, dropping your head down to stare at your lap. “It would’ve been easier just to let me die.”

You heard him chuckle, and his hand intertwined with yours. “I couldn’t do that. Not after everything you did for me. Besides, I have a feeling that I finally found someone who lives up to my intelligence quotient, and I needed your help.” 

Laughing, you smiled at him. “Alright, then. Let’s stop the apocalypse.”

Golden Deer Route

So I finished the Golden Deer Route!

Why I chose Golden Deer: I have already played through Blue Lions, and from what I’ve heard about Edelgard, I figured I’d be more fond of Claude than her. And, well, that’s true, and I can see the appeal of the Golden Deer kids, this route is a bit of a mixed bag.

Who Was My Dancer: Ingrid. I really like Ingrid as a character, and I was torn between her, Marianne, or one of the boys as my dancer. Ultimately chose Ingrid because I remembered her having a pretty good magic stat in my BL playthrough, and I wanted to capitalize on that. She rocked as a dancer and was a fantastic asset to the team. 

What Paired Endings Did I Get:  

Claude & Ingrid (I was trying to get Ingrid with Yuri, but I think I just had Ingrid dance for Claude too much on the final chapter)

Who Did Byleth Marry: Marianne. I’m fond of her as a character, her Goddess Tower scene was fun, and I think she’d be a great wife. But I’ll be honest, was really torn between her or Yuri.

Which Claude Do I prefer?: Pre-timeskip! I think both character designs are comparable, but I felt that pre-timeskip Claude was a bit less clingy to Byleth. Though, that white wyvern was boss af.

General Thoughts: I liked the route, but I don’t think it was as well-rounded as Blue Lions. This route was a mash of church stuff and Claude stuff, and the back and forth just made everything a bit stranger. Also, the last minute “Edelgard wasn’t that bad; she was a pawn and thanks Hubie for telling us. They’re pretty swell after all” was generally laughable. The only BE character I recruited was Petra, for supports, so it was at least novel to have them all as enemies. 

The Golden Deer Characters:

Before I started this route, in my head I had “Marianne White and the 7 Peers” as the characterization motif for the Golden Deer, and I wasn’t really wrong about their one-note personalities, since the only supports I really needed this round were Claude’s and some of the non-other-route exclusive DLC characters’.

Claude: Sneaky. I can see the appeal of Claude, I really can, but there’s a lot about his that vaguely irritated me. The back-and-forth of him being a shining idealist who wants everyone to get along and then being a sneaky sneakster who the player often is told uses poisons to get his way make it hard to believe either side of him is genuine. I also found Claude to be pushy (about interrogating Rhea and the whole journal incident) and his clinginess to Byleth makes comparatively the least amount of sense, assuming we all accept Edelgard’s position as Boss Babe Waifu Bait legitimizes her behavior around Byleth. Enjoy his supports and Claude as a unit, but Claude screams “I’m not like the other lords, really” a little too hard for my tastes.

Hilda: Lazy (or Whiny works too) I like Hilda, and she’s a heavy hitter! At first I thought she was going to be like Charlotte, who I love, but she’s not lol. I could make petty complaints about Hilda’s mostly unaddressed racism (bigotry, if you want to be generous to her) or her lazy ways, but she never really bothered or stood out to me either way.

Marianne: Snow White. Marianne would probably make my top 10 3H characters. Great unit, great person, and I really like her voice actor.

Lysithea: Angry (or Tsundere-y, if you want to make up words). Let it be known that I am partial to tsunderes of any gender, and as a consequence, me and Lysithea were vibing. In Azure Moon I made her a gremory, but now that I’ve completed the DLC, let me just say Valkyrie is the way to go with her. With that one staff she can get up to 6 range, perfecting her role as a glass cannon.

Leonie:  Sweaty. Leonie, in her supports, at least is somewhat fleshed out and likeable, but damn is she so freaking annoying in the storyline, slamming how much she loves Jeralt down your throat, despite how mostly apathetic he seemed about her existence while he was still kicking. A great unit, but if I took a shot every time she mentions Jeralt, I’d be dead.

Lorenz: Snobby (or M’lady). Hot take but I don’t like Lorenz. Post-timeskip he looks like an angry purple lizardman and he is a white knight fedora tipper. His voice irritates me, his supports irritates me, and his face irritates me. Going through the mage path at least fixed up his speed some and he ended up being a serviceable Dark Knight, at least. 

Ignatz: Sorry (or Artsy, if you’re less mean). Ignatz, much like Claude and Bernadetta, seems to be modeled after some flavor of Tumblr user, which would be socially stunted artsy type. He’s just okay, but I’m kind of allergic to people who apologize for existing. I know people like to say “oh, he gets more confident over the timeskip” but can you really argue that when you can view most of his C-supports post-timeskip? in BL I made him an assassin, but this time I had Ignatz as a Mortal Savant (because I love magic), and it rocked. 

Raphael: Hungry. Not really much to say about him besides that. Not my type and not my character personality template either.

Judith: Take a shot every time she calls Claude “boy” in a way that wouldn’t sit right in modern purity politics lmao. She was okay as the like Rodrigue that doesn’t die character, but I am not so easily smithen for your run-of-the-mill Boss Babe. In a similar vein, Nadar left little to no impression on me, and his presence on that one map irked me because he sniped my Linhardt kill. 

Assorted Bulleted Thoughts:

I really liked the last few maps of this route. They were visually interesting, offered a bit of a challenge while also being fun. 

I’m glad we actually got to interact with Rhea after rescuing her, because that was a let down in BL. (But yeah, settle the fuck down, Claude, on harassing Rhea the second she’s free because your boyfriend Hubie left you a letter)

 I can’t confirm for Petra, but it’ s interesting to note that the only death Edelgard remarks on is Bernetta’s, probably because she sets the bridge on fire. Not a word for anyone else lol

In a similar vein, because my Lysithea had 6 range, stupidly high magic stats, and most of BL are weak to magic attacks, I was able to one-shot everyone but Sylvain (he was too far away) with her on the Grounder map. I rewound time to un-kill them all, because I just wanted to see what they said and how Dimitri reacted. Dimitri shouts Felix’s name, which I thought was real gay.

Speaking of that Gonder fight, lame lame lame lame that there was no animated scene or even a still of Dimitri’s death. Felt cheap, and having Gilbert take Dimitri’s body when he wasn’t even on the battlefield, also lame. 

Last animated scene with Nemesis was real dope, but Claude’s speech was top tier cringe and kind of taking me out of the moment. I would expect Naruto to say shit like that.

Alrighty I can already tell that this is going to be a long ass post, so I’m just going to say general things here first. I will then address each mun under the Read More (there’s 20+ of you!), so search for your blog mentioned to find my message to you! 

This Fairy Tail OC blog is my 3rd most popular blog by follower count, just under my Vegeta (DBZ) blog which is popular because of the muse itself over the RPing. Kaito is the opposite, which is why I especially find it important to address and thank each and every mun who’s interacted with me through this blog. For actual posts made it is only second to my personal, which just affirms  that this blog has earned its popularity (and bronze medal) here in my opinion. 

I put in my all and beyond to this blog especially, how it’s navigated, organizing the threads and tags as much as I can so me (and you) can read back on things whenever we want, will use it as a template for my other muses/blogs too haha. Kaito (and my other OCs) have grown as characters thanks to the interactions here, especially when it comes to ships! I also have done the most mun/muse vs muse posts here (Shiro has his own tag FFS lmao), which I’m pleased that many of you are a fan of (the posts, not Shiro!) 

To all my followers, thank you for following and sticking with me, esp those from the beginning! To the other RP blogs I haven’t interacted with yet, I’d love to, especially you OCs! I want to also use this blog to advocate for other similar (OC) blogs, that they can also be great and relevant as canon ones with enough hard work!  Now onto the special thanks!

Jade War liveblog, ch31 through ch35

- yeeeessss, I definitely suspected the duel would end with someone surrendering. while I uh,,,,, have no illusions about Fonda Lee being unwilling to kill a POV character mid-book (lmao), it didn’t feel structurally like that’s what she was going to do here, and a surrender after people put up a good showing wouldn’t be too bad a loss of face! definitely like the additional detail of Mada losing part of her ear too, that’s a nice touch.

- also I really am into how Hilo had stayed up all night to make military preparations to violate the clean blade, god. like it would have been terrible!! but it’s so delightful character-congruent - and really interesting, the way the two remaining Kaul kiddos are “un-Kekonese” in certain ways both, but in almost opposite directions (Shae trying to get away from the strictures of her family, and Hilo in that he doesn’t give a fuck about honor or rules if anything threatens his family).

- ngl some of the very things that drive/drove me nuts about Shae & her decisions are like.... exactly related to the ways we’re very similar, hah. cutting off her nose to spite her face, going and doing things bc her family disapproves, being too damn stubborn about wanting something of her own? like, yeah, real XD it’s just that in her circumstances, the rebellious thing to do managed to coincide with things that I, in my circumstances, think are Bad and Disloyal, lol.

- I continue really loving the contrast Anden notes between Kekonese culture and “Kespie” culture <3 also hello there, parallels to certain tensions among Japanese-Americans re: serving in the military during WWII!

- “You’re a visiting student, why didn’t you stay in the basement with the others where it was safe? You should’ve let the Green Bones handle it. If you’d been hurt or killed, what would we tell your family?”  --> ok, but this also seems like another distinction between Keko-Espenian culture and Anden’s home culture & esp upbringing as a Kaul! bc while Shae & Hilo certainly would have been upset for Anden to be hurt (or esp killed), I feel like “got hurt while protecting his community/makeshift clan from outsiders trying to assault them” would be seen as an entirely reasonable, understandable thing to do, that they’d be proud of him for. if perhaps disgruntled that it would have been avoidable if he was wearing jade :P

- “It was sometimes hard for Anden to remember that Rohn Toro was not actually a clan Fist, that he had to earn money in an ordinary job” --> laughing a little too hard at that tbh, I really like Rohn Toro the more I see of him

- I just realised, there’s a fairly large implicit context for why I’ve been so down on Espenia from even the start of the series that I haven’t mentioned here or I think to anyone else yet thusfar? namely, that their having the military base on Euman Island on Kekon, has enough surface similarities to the US having a military base on Okinawa, that it also brought along all my emotional baggage from those similarities as well.

EPISODE 02: Hmm, Okay, Sounds Weird But Okay

For the castaways’ second immunity challenge, a glitch in the system took down their Deep Space Survival Procedures and Protocol Manual, also known as the Rules page. Their task was to reconstruct it as best they could, which shouldn’t have been hard since they all definitely read those rules thoroughly before beginning the game, right? 

Hmm, perhaps not. They both did a decent job reconstructing, though. Within the first two hours of the challenge, Lovelace found a loophole and used the Rules from one of Ari’s other games as a template to work from. Even with that, Minkowski was a fierce contender - maybe they actually did read the rules - and the teams tied. Ultimately it was Lovelace’s early submission time that secured them a second win.

At Minkowski’s second Space Council, Jay was voted out 6 - 1 and went to join Karen inside the star. The DSSPPM was restored, and the anarchy of this round was laid to rest.

i got my way and karen just left :) noah fence karen you just were the only person on the team i wasnt aligned with bc i needed someone to vote out if we lost im sure youre great!!!!!! i'm not aligned with everyone left which isn't good bc if we lose then i'm fucked lmao... the person i'm least aligned with is probably Pat??? which is interesting bc stevie and jay didn't vote with me.... i really wanted to vote with them but they wanted to vote for jakey and he's one of my closest allies at this point.... i should have just straight up told stevie and jay that i had the votes to get out karen that way there would be more team unity and if we lose again jakey wouldnt be so for voting one of them out and i could point the finger to Pat for the least amount of blood on my hands but I know stevie and karen are friends and i didn't want to be so obvious about the fact that i know the votes were there for karen bc im the one who got them all lmao we really need to win this and then hopefully a team swap happens bc if we go back to space council with this group i'm fucked i have too many allies this is wild

hello!! so basically today was SPACE COUNCIL DAY!!!! so we have some content ladies, saddle up! 

so coming into council i've only spoken with richie and pat one on one lol which is clearly NOT GREAT so i had to get to #werk. richie informs me at 7:10 that miss karen wanted either me or richie to leave. 

now clearly since i'm me and richie is one of the two people that have built a relationship with me im like hell no!!!! so at this point it's clear karen is the person i was gonna target since she came for me yknow 

so RENEE messages me today and we get to talking a little bit and we immediately have a GREAT bond. i get good vibes from her and i was so happy to find someone i could potentially work with closely in this game! 

so she rly wants to keep me and she hasn't talked to karen, so i knew i could get her vote from there. so then it was mostly talking to pat and what i've gathered from pat is he's very secretive and sketchy... like this vote he wasn't saying much which i know he was busy and everything but he was telling richie like he wont be around so he might not be able to vote or something and it was ????? also he's apparently close with JOSH because i havent spoken once to josh and pat was like "ok josh will vote with us" and i was like hmmm okay sounds weird but okay. 

so yeah it ended up being me/richie/renee/pat/josh for karena n karen/stevie/jay  voting for me. im all fine for this outcome especially since i got to have my sandra-esque "AND THE QUEEN STAYS QUEEN" moment... i was LIVING... but im so worried pat/josh will turn on me in the next vote!!! i don't trust them at all and maybe it's time to start trying to built relationships with stevie and jay since maybe they feel on the outs after this vote. 

at this point i know im going to be an ONGOING target on this team so the quicker we swap, the BETTER (i also want to reunite w some cuties on the other team)

Welp, that was a shit show.

A bit of context: I hated both options that came up. I tried subtly dropping Renee once or twice, but it was clear that wasn't gaining traction. My next preference would have been Jay, probably. That wasn't happening, either. People seemed locked on Jakey and Karen, which irked me and still kinda does. But since I was out I didn't really have much ability to make anything happen.

So, why take out Karen over Jakey? It gets complex. At the core of it, in a vacuum, I feel Karen would have been more loyal to me than Jakey likely will be down the road. But the issue comes in who I would have been throwing my hat in with if I'd gone with Karen. Those three votes were Jay, Stevie and Karen herself. I'd have made it four, and I presume Josh and I were always voting in lockstep. Either that, or rocks on the first vote which yikes.

Plain and simple, I don't like that group as a means to reach the end. I think me/Josh/Jakey/Renee/Richie will be a much more effective group. I wish Karen had talked to more people, because adding her to this group would've been great.

Also, Josh stated a preference to voting out Karen over Jakey. I really want to keep Josh feeling like he can trust me 100%. I always do better in these games when I have an unquestioned #1 ally. So I let him feel – rightfully – that if his preference was Karen, we'd do Karen. It helped that I was leaning that way, myself, for the reasons above.

Also, Jakey's pretty fun. A bit abrasive sometimes for my taste, but I'm not mad at all about working with him. He'll be a good ally, I think.

Ah well, onward and upward. RIP, Moose Alliance.

so we lost and now i'm fucked bc no matter who i vote for tonight i'm going to be backstabbing someone since i'm a dumbass lmao

me stevie and jay aren't an official alliance but we have talked about working together jakey has told me i'm his #1 and we have gotten close josh and renee are 2 of my favorite people who i just won't vote out rn

and pat and i really connected at the beginning of the game but i've kinda stopped the breaks on that relationship bc i needed someone with no connection with in case we went to council but it looks like it's impossible for me to put the vote on pat tonight which sucks for my game bc im going to be pissing off someone just who's it going to be??? idk bc we're less than 2 hours from council and no one is around!!!!!!

i love jay and i wanted to work with him but the last vote really fractured the team and choosing to go with the minority with a possible team swap coming just isn't the best idea???? i'm trying to do damage control with stevie 15 minutes before the vote so that if this all goes down as planned then i still have room to work with him hopefully
