just a thought but is there ever a time where the arcade wouldn't open for some reason? like, Moon was sick or they were renovating the place or they just took a holiday off?

Besides their normal days off, I imagine they occasionally have had to close due to illness, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. But it takes a very good reason for Sun to close unexpectedly. The guy loves working himself to death ☠️. Will power through colds and has a tendency to skip meals if the arcade is busy. Vacations are something that he hears other people do sometimes.

It became pretty obvious during the first Spring after the arcade’s opening that running the place during the busy Summer season with only two people wasn’t gonna cut it. It still took a lot for Moon to convince Sun that hiring a third was a necessity (enter y/n). The big thing that swayed him was Moon pointing out that Sun would have more time to do fun activities with the younger kids in the playplace if they had someone else to watch things on the arcade floor.

When you started dating the Marauders, the first thing that your friend Dorcas said was to beware, polyamorous relationship could be tough. At first, you brushed her off: you knew that, but your love for the boys would have overcome everything.

Or at least you thought so.

You have been experiencing the worst week of your whole life, you were stressed over your head with schoolwork, wanting to stay on top of your class but, also, struggling too, and this time, your boyfriends weren’t helping at all.

It all started with the fact that, obviously, it was the week before the full moon, meaning that Remus was extremely on edge, but also clingy. Having an afternoon for yourself was a luxury: the werewolf had to stay by your side all of the time. You didn’t quite get this clinginess, because he behaved this way only with you; he wanted to have the other two marauders near, of course, but he was fine as long as you didn’t wonder off, and sometimes he seemed to be a bit possessive over you. So, let’s say that if you felt the need to have some practice lessons for potions, he had to be there, and it didn’t matter if the professor didn’t want anyone else in the room with you: you had to choose between having him near you, or skipping the extra lessons you so desperately needed.

“Remus, I know it’s stressful for you, but you must understand I have to take this class. It’s not like I’m going to be gone all afternoon, I’m asking you for two hours maximum. You know that Slughorn doesn’t like having other people during these lessons, and he’s doing me a favour here” He looked like you just might have kicked him.

“I don’t understand why my partner suddenly doesn’t want me around.” You took a deep breath: truth was, you knew that he wasn’t being unreasonable because he wanted to. If his werewolf instincts weren’t acting up, he would have probably pushed you to take even more lessons, but now he wasn’t in his right mind. You had to chance tactic.

“Baby, you know that I love you, right? I love you so, so much” You took his face into your hands, you saw his expression visibly shift. “And I know it isn’t easy for you, I know that. I swear, if you go napping now, you won’t even notice I’m gone”

“But napping is way more fun with you” His voice turned sultry, his hands now groping your ass lightly. You couldn’t help but feel a pang of need, but now was not the time.

“Tell you what, I’m going to lay down with you until you’re asleep. I’ll give you some head scratches, then, when I’ll be back, you’ll have me all to yourself. Does this sound good?” His pupils were now a little bit wider; he nodded and hauled you on his shoulder, making you yelp when he made you fall on the bed. He positioned his head on your chest, a hand crawling underneath your shirt to grip one of your tits possessively, while the other one stayed underneath your ass, the tips of his fingertips hovering dangerously close to your core.

You knew that his hold wasn’t casual: he was trying to make you stay, knowing the effect that he had on you, but you couldn’t give in: you had to stay strong,  because deep down you knew that, if you failed this exam, you wouldn’t be in the right mind to help Remus during the full moon.

You just had to get through this week, it was only 7 days, right? And most of today was gone, if the other boys would be helpful, as they always did, everything was going to be just fine.

You wandered off to the Great Hall for breakfast, exhausted. After the lesson with Slughorn, you came back to a very needy Remus, who took all of his clinginess out of you, leaving you sore and tired; while he slept soundly, though, you had to study and make up for the hours lost being supportive for your boyfriend, leaving you with about two hours of sleep in the last forty-eight hours.

“Hey girl, didn’t see you in our dorm room yesterday, oh what the fuck-“ Dorcas looked at you like you might have grown another head during the nighttime. “Babes, have you slept? Like, at all?”

“No, I haven’t. Remus is being extremely clingy, and you know that I’m not the best when it comes to Potions. Given the fact that the test is going to be next week, I barely have time to rest” She scoffed, but you interrupted her before she could start. “I know that James and Sirius should help, but he’s being this clingy only with me, and they can’t do much about that; plus, the upcoming game is stressing them out so much, yesterday they came to bed after practice, they didn’t even eat anything. I just want to support them”

She sighed. “I know baby, but try to not burn out, okay? If you need any help, I’m here, you know? Now, let’s go eat something”

You were happy to share some time with her and your boyfriends, but when you sat next to Sirius, one look at him told you anything that there was to know.

He didn’t greet you, didn’t sport his usual smirk: he was looking down at his plate like it might have held the answer to all his problems, while James looked at you preoccupied. Remus just held you close to himself. You tried to peel yourself away from his embrace, to not avail.

“Sirius, baby, do you want to talk? We can skip the first few hours and go on a walk to the Black Lake?” Now he was looking at you, his eyes were red and puffy, you tried to not cringe at his expression.

“It’s okay, Y/N, just the usual” You hated how he always seemed to shut down, not wanting to share his problems with you. As you tried to reach for his hand, Remus snatched you back, holding you close to him: you could see the moment in which Sirius shut you out for good, and you wanted to kick Remus for it.

“I’m going to handle this, you’re going to think about Remus, okay darling? Then I will report back to you, I swear” James whispered in your ear, You took a deep breath, nodding: you were thankful for him, but you still didn’t want to make Sirius feel like he couldn’t count on you.

You had the time to eat a biscuit before you had to head to class, Remus trailing behind you. You just had to wait for a few days, a few days and all of this would be over, and you had James to help you get through this week. You would be fine, you told yourself.

On Wednesday, you were thankful that Remus had an important herbology test, which gave you enough time to check in with Sirius. You entered their dorm room, spotting his curled frame under piles of blankets: you felt a pang of guilt, you swore your heart broke just a little.

Without making any sounds, you peeled the blankets off and wrapped your body around his, he startled in his sleep.

“Shh, baby, I’m right here. You’re safe, you know that? And I’ll always be here for you, no matter what” It was like you opened a faucet: his body started trembling, and then came the sobbing, he turned around and hugged you back, you caressed his head and back softly. After he quieted down a bit, you took his face into your hands, forcing him to look into your eyes. “Would you like for me to sing for you?” He nodded eagerly, burying his face in your chest, while you sang him a lullaby.

After a bit, you heard his breath even out. Your heart ached for your lover, you didn’t know what living in an abusive household felt like, and you sometimes even felt guilty over the fact that you had the most loving parents someone could ever asked for. You knew it was silly, but if you could, you’d swap family in a blink of an eye, everything to take this burden off of Sirius’s shoulders.

“Is he okay?” James whispered, startling you. He bent down, placing a soft kiss on your head. “I don’t know, Jamie. He had a breakdown, now he is asleep. I don’t know how to help him, I don’t want him to suffer like this every month.”

“I know, love, I know. You’re doing your best, and he appreciates it. But” He looked at you embarrassed, and you already knew what was going on, you sighed. “Remus just finished his test, and he’s going kind of nuts, he wants you by his side. You should go”

“Can’t he just come here, so we could cuddle?”

“I don’t know, love. This moon seems different, he got a lot more possessive over you. He just wants you for himself, I think we’re going to fix this before the next month, but for now, I think you should go”

You nodded, looking down art Sirius for the last time, before looking for Remus.

You prayed Sirius didn’t feel abandoned by you,  but you still had James to count on.

On Thursday, you stayed in bed all day with Remus. You studied, of course, and he seemed happy to have you around. You didn’t see Sirius at all, given the fact that you stayed at your dorm, but you thought that James was handling him well.

Exactly, you thought, because, as you and Remus took your seats for the Friday’s night Quidditch game, after having studied all day in the library, you felt a bit anxious. You told yourself you were being paranoid, but deep down, you knew something was off, and when Sirius entered the Quidditch pitch, you knew he wasn’t okay. He didn’t come to greet you, didn’t even look at you, and when you shoot a glance at James, he just averted his gaze: you were fucked.

You took a deep breath and snuggled closer to Remus, his clinginess now comforting, as the game begun. From the first actions, you knew that they were going to lose: Sirius looked like he wasn’t even trying, while James was too preoccupied to check on him to score a single goal.

And as the game ended, you knew your night was going to be an awful one: Gryffindor just lost the game.

I was rereading the manga the other day and Wolfwood has a flashback to Knives giving him orders to find Vash and to “accompany my little brother once again,” despite the fact that since Wolfwood was introduced in the last couple chapters of Trigun, he didn’t have time to accompany Vash, they just hung out on the bus after they accidentally encountered him by luck, and importantly Wolfwood didn’t even have his orders from Legato about Vash yet, he just knew he had to meet someone in the city as an member of eom. So there wasn’t really any accompanying done there, unless Knives is counting that bus ride which I doubt.

I can’t recall how much Nightow worked on writing/helping with 98, but considering how much earlier Wolfwood gets introduced in it, do you think he accidentally mixed in some of what happened in that version with the manga? Bc honestly that’s pretty funny. Or possibly there was supposed to be some adventures with Wolfwood as part of the crew that got cut from the og manga because of fifth moon and the whole knives encounter getting pushed up due to the publishing stuff and all that, and Nightow forgot he never actually got to put that part in the manga

I mean, Nightow has shown a great amount of consistency within his own writing. The number of callbacks to earlier things within the manga consistently took me by surprise (like all the references to earlier vash & wolfwood interactions, the symbolism of things, the way Meryl acts around vash & grows, etc). My dude was probably rereading his own work Constantly to be able to do that. Plus that moment towards the end where Vash remembers Every Single Person he'd met on his travels, including very minor ones - looking thru, I couldn't see a single one Nightow missed, which meant he must have combed thru his own work to find Every Single Character of his work (unless he kept character references, which is also a possibility & also smth worthy of respect)

All that being said, I doubt Nightow would be the type to make an error like that. It's always possible it's a translation error (I'd be curious of what version you saw that in, since Dark Horse translation is known to have a lot of benign mistakes like that). So if anything, I'd blame them

If it Was Nightow tho 🤔 idk the time's skimmed by in the chapter but I feel like at Least a day passed on that bus. They stop in another town along the way, & the towns in Gunsmoke are Not close together. Take for example the fact that the sand steamer ride between April City and May City was a two week journey. By sand steamer. Then the distance between Augusta and Jeneora was... 2000 kilometers? I think. I'd have to double check it, but it's something kind of insane. Point is, things aren't close together in this world. We just don't see the transportation bc it'd be kinda boring to watch lol

All in all, I'd blame it on translation error or the weird fast paced depiction of the end of the manga b4 I'd blame Nightow of mixing up details

5/5 stars (but my standards are really fucking low, so don’t trust me)

honest opinion - I loved it. It was a great book for me. I loved the MC (stands for Main Character), and it was just a great book all around. I can't put my opinion into words, but I'd highly recommend it, but if you've faced sexual abuse and/or teen pregnancy I might pass it up, as it may be triggering.

basic summary (no major spoilers) (im writing this 3-4 months after reading the book, so sorry if a bit inaccurate) - 

Takes place in 1910s-1920s (WWI), Nova Scotia. Basically Dora Rare (first daughter in 5 generations of Rares), is drawn to Miss Babineau, a midwife and eventually after a few years becomes a midwife herself. But soon Dr. Gilbert Thomas, comes by and brings promises of quick, painless birth, and now many people start to question Babineau’s methods. Miss B disappears, and now Dora has to fight for her traditions. 

in depth ‘summary’ (spoilers. and a whole lot of them) !!CW!! physical abuse, sexual abuse(?), few sex scenes - 

Alrightie, buckle up.

“On the evening of a full moon in June, Silent went out in his canoe to catch the shad that were spawning around the tip of Cape Split. As the night wore on, Annie began to worry that some ill had befallen her love. . . . She walked to the cove where they had first met and began to call to him, promising her heart, her fidelity and a thousand loves to his name. The moon, seeing Annie’s sadness, began to sing, forcing the waves inland, strong and fast, bringing Silent safely back to his lover. Since that time, every child born from the Rare name has been male, and even now, when the moon is full, you can hear her voice, the voice of the moon, singing sailors home.” < why all Rare children have been men (for past 5 gen) >

Dora Rare is the only daughter in 5 generations of Rares. When Dora is first mentioned, she is 17 years old, and has 6 older brothers. Marie Babineau drags Dora to Mrs. Experience Ketch’s 13th kid, which would be a very prominent memory. Anyway if she didn’t give birth to this child today, she’d die. So she did, but she did not want her child. She pushed him away. So he died. Mr. Ketch is not deserving to be called a father, but here we are. Being the 1910s, he was a sexist wanker. “’I don’t trust nothin’ that can’t piss standin’ up.”’ like bitch who the fuck do you think you are?? 

Mrs. Ketch is a victim of serious domestic abuse, if the amount of children didn’t tell you otherwise (women can choose to have this many children, but... holy fuck.)

Archer, someone who Dora is sorta fond of (its been a while, dont remember her feelings), didn’t wish to fight in the war, but Grace and Precious really didn’t fucking like that. “’If I could, I’d march through Europe myself, killing Huns right and left, gutting them with a bayonet and crushing their skulls with the heel of my boot. But I can’t, and neither can any other woman who might wish for victory over evil... and neither can these boys who are too young to serve their king.’ She glared at Archer. ’But you can’” Mate. Take notes from Mulan. Masquerade as a man and beat them all. Fucking coward.

After Archer drags Dora to an empty room, Dora starts to become a horny fuck, and he begins undressing her, she mentions that that was her first kiss, and this Archer hoe backs off, and leaves.

Dr. Thomas comes bearing promises of quick and painless births. He makes Miss B and Dora seem like they’re using wooden tools and sawing a woman in half to get her baby out and taping her back together. Like stfu.

Well, a chapter or 2 later, Dora learns that she is marrying Archer, and she can’t refuse it. 

A couple pages later, on the start of chapter 18, B orders Dora to get her 2 long-handled spoons and to grease them up with tallow, to get a teacup cover out from Grace Hutner’s sweet spot, cause she’s a horndog.

On the day before their wedding night, Archer wants Dora to give him a bj. A motherfucking blowjob. As a thanks for the permission to marry him. 

“Come on, Dorrie. Just get on your knees. It won’t take long, no one needs to know. Now open up that mouth and take me in.” im not even going to say anything.

Anyway, the day before Dora has to marry Archer Bigelow, Miss B dies. :(

Archer wants Dora to give up the midwifery stuff (i think its sorta cool tbh, but k mate). This horny fuck wants sex every damn night. The book mentions the ‘supposed to hurt the first time’ and ‘breaking a woman in’ and just to let you know, the book talks like this bc it’s set in the 1910s-1920s, but irl, it doesn’t have to hurt the first time, i don’t think (but i havent fucked yet, and i dont plan to so idk), and breaking a woman in makes it sound like an object of some sort. 

On page 174, Archer attempts to punch her, but he misses and makes a hole in the wall. 

Dora gives in to sex when she doesn’t want to, and bc of her ‘obligations as a wife’  he treats her more like a sex toy than a human being. (not every guy is a piece of shit in this book, just most of them)

She heads to Dr. Thomas through a friend or her familys advice, and is diagnosed with hysteria, which is probably just ignored horniness, or a high libido or smth, the Doc basically uses a vibrator thing on her and the book states it’s better than what she’s felt in the arms of her husband.

(im wrapping this up cause my fingers are cold)

Influenza starts to pop up, and after Dora is outcasted for her practices, she goes to one of her older brothers.

Brady Ketch, husband of Experience Ketch, dumps his beat up and bruised pregnant 13-year old daughter on Dora’s doorstep, she dies, but delivers a perfectly healthy baby that Dora adopts as her own, and names Winnie/Wennie or whatever the fuck her name was.

After she comes back, she turns back to midwifery, and bars Dr. Thomas with a pitchfork after he attempts to interrupt a delivery (not Ketch’s daughter, as she died in childbirth) (obvi)

Archer dies out in sea, after Dora didn’t give him a thing known for protecting sailors from drowning and to bring them home safe and sound. But Archer has a brother, Hart, and claimed that he always had feelings for her, and he was disgusted at how he treated her. Dora doesn’t marry him, but stays as his lover. Also, the epilogue is about electricity coming to Scots Bay.

God okay let's start first with the literal opening shot. Remember Danger? Round one? Swinging pocket watch, the hat?? The flashy costumes, the confidence?? YEAH DUDES BRING IT BACK!! And not only that but they connected it to Reveal and Quasi una fantastia. Once again guys, we stan continuity. Literal story arc.

The conscious decision to start with Younghoon who ended Quasi. The conscious decision to have the barren tree burst into full bloom, only to melt into the fiery background of Reveal. Juyeon's entrance with the crown that he took back at the end of Reveal. Continuing on to Q who had the crown stolen from him at the beginning of Reveal, having him take it back and open the performance with a small solo dance as he did in Danger. (Side note, that ripple stop effect with the backup dancers? Beautiful.) I know Q did the jump off in Sword of Victory but Sunwoo did the major stunt in Danger and just that pass off, including all the elements. I'm screaming!!

Climbing up the staircase to the shadow screen throne was a beautiful touch. I've complained about this before with other groups and I've praised TBZ time and time again for this but their story building and concept execution is probably the best I've ever seen. I think a lot of 4th gen groups tend to struggle with creating cohesive story lines but TBZ does it really well. I wouldn't say flawlessly but as performances, excellent job.

I'm a tiny bit puzzled as to why Sunwoo fell from there but (theory time) I could see it as a fall from grace and then Checkmate being a struggle to reclaim the crown again. Kind of like how they fell from 1st place in round 3 and now this live round is their stake in clawing their way back up to Kingdom again.

The backup dancers were on! point! I know in the other performance I watched (linked above), TBZ did everything themselves but in this case they obviously couldn't do that. So having the backup dancers create that tension with the stop and go choreo was a good decision. I loved their costumes as well! All black but still fitting with the theme, the hats particularly got me to think like ah, this is royalty.

Sunwoo is such a performer holy shiiiiit. Facial expressions on point! I loved the kind of gothic hallways the LED screen had on. Checkmate is a darker song than any of the ones they did before. Danger and Reveal are both exciting, energetic songs whereas Quasi was really beautiful and not gentle necessary but passionate? But anyways Checkmate starts in a minor piano progression and the LED screen change just served to bolster that feeling.

Three-way chess hehe. I wonder how you play that? Did y'all know there's like a 5 dimension time travelling chess game on Steam? Physics folks are scary.

Juyeon's complete freeze when Hyunjae has his line is incredible. Same with Hyunjae when Juyeon starts singing again! The discipline!

YOOOO okay I had to rewatch the performance for this part but if you look carefully on the chessboard, it looks like none of the three sides have their king piece!! I was drawn to that when Younghoon says Check your king, like okay!! Go off!! They just know for a fact that people like me exist who scrutinize every detail dhjkf

Sunwoo looks so clean in his lines and his dance. Kevin being pushed around is both hilarious and also impactful because his line is I ain't never satisfied, and the image + vocal cue brings up the image of both a spoiled royal and also an ambitious one. They just flipped the table for Hyunjae to stand on so I'm like. What happened to the pieces?? Lmao, they probably just shoved them off to some backup dancers or smth but that was funny to me.

I like their continued use of swords as well. TBZ used a katana for their 90 sec performance but obviously with this performance being more medieval, makes total sense to have more European style long swords.

Since Checkmate is obviously a chess term, they did a complete chess royalty concept and I adored it. The costumes are everything, I love the detailing in the beading and chains! The split between black and white! Silver accents!!

Their chorus dance was so good, aughghghgh.

Once again, the backup dancer army. Just. Wonderful additions to creating the world of the performance. And again, similarly to Kevin on the chair, Sunwoo on the chair being lifted like a palanquin just continues to reinforce the idea that they're the best, above everyone else. Sunwoo commands the soldiers (dancers), tells them to go this way or that. He is the king and there's no question about it.

Sangyeon, Q, Jacob and Eric. Please. My heart. One thing about this section, I love that they really used the full extent of the stage. They didn't hesitate to use the audience stands too, which I think most groups would be too scared to consider. (I also wonder if it's an intimidation tactic lol. Did you see ONF's E-Tion and Wyatt?? Jaw: dropped) When Jacob and Eric are doing the sword fight, the lights flipping was really interesting because it reminded me of how you can see light reflected off metal when it clashes but also it gave me a vague illusion of fighting while darting between shadows, half blind, chasing each other??

YES PLEASE LIFT NEW UP HES IS BEST BOI. Continued appreciation of backup dancers. I know they did this so everyone could move into the next position which is why I think it's fine. But overall, even though I appreciate the dancers and think they're amazing, I always feel a little questionable when it's just the backup dancers doing something on stage. Personal nitpick though.

THE BOX. THE FUCKING BOX. DUDE MINATURE SCALE IT AND HAVING THE BLACK AND WHITE KINGS INSIDE?? AND THEN!! ON STAGE!! THE BIG BOX!! TRAPPING JUYEON AND HYUNJAE!! BITCH PLEASE!! WHAT THE FUCK HOW DO YOU THINK OF THIS!! I loved that they included a ribbon to "force" the two together in a struggle, and just artistically from a dance perspective it's pretty bomb. It restricts the kind of movements you can make so they did a beautiful job of going back and forth in a literal confined space, tied together. The perspective of the walls of the box also gave a really neat illusion of endless hallways on all sides, like they're in an infinite space. I loved it. So much.

Small thing but the confetti being the same dark color as the walls. Good shit.

Facial expressions ON POINT while walking through the salute. The aggression, the glower. Jacob especially looked really cool and intimidating and sexy?

Yeets chess piece. Jokes aside, that's a good impactful ending, and the continued messages on screen behind them just. Ugh. Literally so good. So. Good. Continued emphasis on the moon, on being kings. Having the army in front in formation like a crown. TBZ standing so tall.

I don't even think I really have any complaints about this performance. It's just that good. Everything was amazing.

Moze Trailer! im so late oh god

Screaming at the Moon

Requested: “shawn and you always hated each other because secretly you were in love but weren’t brave enough to do smth. Your families are close so a day you went on a trip together and you fight but end up having passionate, rough, hard, deep, craving type of sex❤”

A/N: I do not write smut, and I try not to write things too suggestive because I’m just personally not comfortable writing that type of thing, so I apologize. I also apologize for the weird ending lol. I didn't exactly know how to end it. Let me know if you want a part 2 or something!

“I can’t stand him! I don’t want to do this.” You complained to your best friend about Shawn Mendes. The teen pop sensation who you’ve known your whole life. You knew him before Vine and you knew him after. Your families were close friends and you two were forced to hang out a lot. Unfortunately, those times didn’t always end well for you. There was constant teasing and sarcasm between you and Shawn and you had friends that told you it was because he liked you, but you didn’t believe that for a second.

“He’s arrogant, and rude. And whenever he wears shorts, they’re way too short!“ You went on and on about everything you disliked about Shawn to your best friend.

“Y/N, you better stop talking, or else you’ll marry him or something.” Your best friend stopped you.

“No way, you’re crazy. That’s insane. I wouldn’t even go on a date with him!” Your eyes widened at your best friends words and you just shook your head. She shrugged and laughed along, grabbing clothes out of your dresser to help you pack. Your job had unexpectedly taken a sharp turn around the corner, causing you to travel often. This week, you were heading to Toronto, where of course, Shawn coincidentally was going to be playing a show that weekend. Your parents were close with Shawn’s parents, and so your family had decided on dragging themselves and your siblings all the way to Toronto to see Shawn perform. Your little sister loved Shawn, and so this whole plan seemed to work for everyone but you. You were an adult, and you made your own decisions. You went wherever you wanted whenever you wanted. You thought you’d be safe from going to Toronto with your family but of course, your job had other plans for you.

“I don’t believe in coincidences!” You remember your mother telling you over the phone, the night you found out your boss wanted you in Toronto. You complained for twenty minutes about how insane you thought it was that out of all places for your boss could send you, she wanted you exactly where Shawn was. Well…Not exactly. But you weren’t going to not visit your family. You just accepted the fact that you’d have to deal with Shawn. You liked the rest of his family and you were looking forward to seeing your own family. And so you forced a smile, and hauled yourself and your luggage out to Toronto, praying that you wouldn’t have to interact with Shawn too much.

The moonlight outside the window of your hotel room, blinded you even through the curtains. You had one small lamp on, but it seemed like you didn’t even need it. You sat on a comfy chair in front of a small desk working from your laptop, your eyes struggling to stay open. You were glad that your job was able to let you work from a laptop every once in a while, so you hoped you could get some things done tonight. Your family was out and about probably spending more time with Shawn’s family than they did with you. You visited them earlier, and you even said hi to Shawn, but you weren’t going to stay for his show, and you had work to do anyway. So here you were, 11pm at night, letting the cool air from outside come in through your window, hoping it would keep you awake. Your attention was drawn away from your laptop when you heard your phone go off. It was a text from your mom.

“Just finished dinner with the Mendes family. Shawn is on his way to see you. We all tried to stop him but he says he wants to catch up with you, and he didn’t believe us when we said you were busy with work. Be careful, and be nice!!”

What the hell? Your mind was in several different states of confusion as you read this text. You appreciated that your mom had texted you though, you loved that your relationship with your mother was good. She was like a 52 year old best friend, who knew more than your other best friends. You still couldn’t believe that Shawn was attempting to “visit you.” You were glad your mom warned you, but the more you thought about it, she probably was super nice to him about it happening. How else would Shawn know your room number? He wouldn’t, unless your parents told him. Your mom knew how much you disliked Shawn, but she also always wanted you to make peace with him. So even though she didn’t actually say it in her text, she probably was totally okay with Shawn coming to see you, and you bet she didn’t even actually try to stop him. Making peace with Shawn, or agreeing to disagree, or just being nice to him was always hard for you so you never did it. But right now, it seemed like maybe it was finally time to do that. The last time you actually had a conversation with Shawn was several years ago, and it didn’t end well. You wanted to believe that now you were both grown, and had forgotten about that time, but you could never forget it. That’s why you never spoke to him again, until now, when you heard a knock on your door.

You sighed heavily, and got up to open the door. You really didn’t want to. But there he was, his eyes looked as tired as yours, and his black zip up hoodie was hung over a grey t-shirt. His hair was scraggly, but it looked cute. Shawn was cute, always had been but what mattered most was how not cute his personality was.

“Y/N, hi.” He smiled weakly and put his hands together. You smiled back and let him in, turning on more lights in the room. You probably looked like a crazy person, sitting in the almost all dark, with your laptop open on that little table desk thing in the corner, and the mess you made earlier from room service.

“My mom texted me to let me know you were coming but.. What are you doing here?” You said as nicely as possible.

“Yeah, I’m sorry for not telling you myself. I just noticed you weren’t at dinner earlier and I wanted to catch up. How are you?” You stared at him with a confused look, and you were angry now. Not because of his odd gesture at catching up, but because he was acting like nothing bad ever happened between the two of you. And so you let him know, by speaking your mind.

“Are you serious? We hate each other, do we not? What makes you think you can just come see me and act like it’s okay?” You said with a harsh tone. You were done with those two seconds of trying to be nice.

“I figured you’d say that.” Shawn just laughed and looked at you like it was all a joke.

“Get out.” You said and walked over to the door to open it. He didn’t even have to say much to get you raging with anger.

“So you’re still the same bitch I knew a few years ago? You really haven’t changed?” Shawn spit out the words like it was nothing, and you stood there staring him down, ready to beat him up.

“Excuse me? You’re saying I’m the one who hasn’t changed? Meanwhile you have the nerve to come see me and say you wanna catch up when in reality you just wanna irritate me. You’ve always done that. You’ve always bothered me even after I’ve asked you not to several times. Who do you think you are?” You were walking away from the door now, and you getting closer to him. You were ready to yell and you thought that maybe if you got up in his face with your anger, it would scare him. That’s what happened last time anyway.

“I think I deserve an explanation as to why you hate me so much, and why you’re always so rude.” Shawn was backing away from you, and you could see he was nervous, but you weren’t sure why. His face got red whenever he was nervous, and he would look down at the ground like you didn’t exist. This is exactly what happened the last time you tried to have a conversation with him.

“I am never rude to you! And if I am, it’s only because you are to me first! I don’t take crap from people Shawn.” You we’re raising your voice now, and this was the beginning of another emotional war. Shawn was excellent at making you feel emotionally drained. You were both yelling now, and there was nothing in the way to stop the words that spilled from both of your mouths. It was all hatred.

“WHY CAN’T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE? HOW COME YOU STILL HAVE TO BOTHER ME EVEN AFTER I TELL YOU NOT TO?“ You yelled at him as you walked closer, so close. So close now, that your noses were almost touching. There was a glass wall between the both of you, keeping you from any physical touch, but your emotions were running wild, and you hoped that getting this close to him would scare him away already.

“Don’t you think there’s a reason to that Y/N?” Shawn didn’t back away this time as he spoke. This time, his hand was on your neck, and you shivered at his touch.

"Don’t you think there’s a reason as to why I’m even here right now?” You wanted to back away from his touch, and you were surprised he had the courage to even come close to you. But you couldn't move.

"And what's that reason?" You let out weakly wiping your palms against your shorts. He didn't say anything back, because instead he moved his mouth down to your neck. His lips burned onto your skin and you wanted to scream. You wanted to scream at the moon you stared at outside your window as Shawn's hands traveled up your waist and his lips continued to work on your neck. The hatred and anger you felt towards Shawn was suddenly turned into lust and you were disgusted with yourself, and him. But it didn't matter at this point anymore and you didn't care. So you finally moved your body and place your hands on Shawn's head, running your fingers through his hair. His mouth was slowly inching up your neck and he was now on your jawline, your cheek, your lips. Soon enough he was pushing you against the bed, and you fell backwards landing on the mattress.
