Alrighty but the amount of people who genuinely believe the show will have the bad ending???? Like fr? This is really what you think? I'm sorry you've seen too much shows with bad endings and it left impact on you that you now don't trust anyone but I promise bd absolutely is not going that way
Look at eps 7 and 8! This is the most angst we got untill now and they both ended on a good note, Kazuki finally moved on from his past and came home and saw his new family sleeping holding hands this was so sweet! And Rei, after this f*cker send him to kill his own mentor in his own birthday! Still in the end Rei is back home with his family where his daughter sang him a birthday song and his partner made him birthday cake and all kinds of food Rei likes i meaann
From what i can tell this show sticks to idk Disney movie principles? Yes there will be some angst but in the end they get their happy ending. That's what VAs were talking about!
"Here's how things would go in real life" In real life two hitmans would NOT get happy ending in real life it would probably end bad! But it won't okay? It won't! Also take a look at this
You have to think about what director really wanted convey through this series and how the ending suppose to reflect that thought! Bad ending wouldn't make sense!! At all! Because the main thoughts of the show is that everyone deserves a chance to be happy, you can build your own family and that the blood family isn't always right THESE ARE THE MAIN THOUGHTS THESEE
So yeah you can bite me and throw rocks at me if I'll be wrong but i will not be wrong i have faith in the bd crew
#buddy daddies#buddy daddies theory#there might be grammatical mistakes as always don't hit me#also please don't think of it as a personal attack i didn't mean to offend anyone#i just wanted to ensure you it will be alright

It's weird to pretend that SQQ superficially (it's minor enough that MF doesn't express pain or fear, just shock and confusion) cutting MF one time is equivalent to years of excessive physical punishment. SQQ wouldn't have done even that much if not for the OOC lock! Not to mention that SQQ doesn't dislike MF! This is one of his first thoughts about MF:
“Knowing that this child’s fate in the original work wasn’t much better than his own, Shen Qingqiu couldn’t help but look at him with the pitying gaze of a fellow victim."
Also, where are you getting that SQQ wants to kill MF? I couldn't find any passage like that. SQQ even complains that MF's mistreatment of Binghe is going to get *Ming Fan* killed. While SQQ certainly doesn't care about MF as much as LBH, he neither dislikes MF nor is he ambivalent to his fate.
While there's nothing wrong with disliking a character, but in the future, please don't put this kind of baseless hate in the Shen Yuan tag.
"superficially" shen yuan himself thinks for a second he's killed Ming Fan. why would he think that if it's superficial?
and it doesn't matter if its superficial. assaulting children is child abuse no matter how you try to twist it. this hypocrisy is what is pissing me off. child abuse is child abuse whether its a one off incident or years and years of it.
also where the fuck did i say these two are equivalent? i'm just saying child abuse is child abuse, whether its one incident or many. incredible how you've moved the goal posts on what really counts as child abuse so you can pretend shen yuan didn't literally assault kids.
i'm sorry, they were bleeding, how the fuck is that superficial? is lbh getting beaten up also superficial to you bc it didn't leave any scars? is it only really child abuse if it happens for many years? what the fuck is wrong with you?
here you are justifying child abuse in my inbox bc your fave is doing it. how sad and pathetic is that?
and you honestly think sy likes ming fan from that quote? bc he looks at him with the pitying eyes of a fellow victim? do you think pitying someone is the same as liking them? sy later on literally says this in his head lol. please look up the meaning of the word pity for me.
And moreover, as a fellow victim, Shen Qingqiu always felt a kind of pity for this cannon fodder disciple who, in the end, Luo Binghe would throw into an ant pit so that he would be bitten to death by tens of thousands of ants…
also sy thinks ming fan is a good disciple bc he's obedient and worships him like a god. not bc he actually, you know, likes him as a person. now onto the actual incident.
first sy literally says he wants to beat up ming fan
As a bystander, Shen Qingqiu desperately wanted to reach out, beat up Ming Fan, snatch back the jade pendant, and toss it to Luo Binghe. Also, if he did that, maybe Ming Fan wouldn’t thoroughly offend Luo Binghe? Then, later on, he could keep his paltry little life.
his paltry little life. that's how he thinks of ming fan's life. also i think sy nearly killed ming fan bc sy literally fucking thinks it himself. i didn't say sy wants to kill him. i said he didn't care if he did. please learn to read.
The leaf shot toward Ming Fan like an airborne knife. As Ming Fan’s long and horrible scream split the air, Shen Qingqiu shook out his hand and wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead. No wonder they said that to an expert, even a flower or tree could be used to hurt people! But he hadn’t killed Ming Fan just now, right…?
which part of that sounds fucking superficial? it's literally likened to a knife. a long and horrible scream. sy literally thinks he might've killed ming fan. can you like? read?
“Did you see clearly? Was he holding a knife?” Ming Fan interrogated the other disciples as blood seeped out of his back—like he’d been cut with the edge of a sword.
out of his back too. like he'd been cut with a sword. wow sounds really superficial to me. he also attacks the other disciples after this.
yes there is the ooc lock but he could've done any number of other things, like shouting his head off. he chose to start throwing knife like, sword like, spiritually enhanced leaves at kids. he does regret it, but only for a second. he certainly doesn't go to make sure those kids are okay or anything decent like that.
sy's primary motivation is to save himself not others. this is how he reacts to qin wanrong dying. this is after the ooc lock has been lifted btw.
Five or six disciples had been washing their feet and playing in the creek. Now two of them had disappeared, and one of the missing was Qin Wanrong. You see! Told you that you should have gone earlier! Wonderful, a perfectly good wife is now gone, just like that! Shen Qingqiu thought, frustrated and disappointed. Now you can’t complete the Qin Sisters bouquet for that grand threesome scene in the future. Now what?!
honestly i love how he doesn't give a shit. why would he? he doesn't care about anyone but his blorbo and that's what makes him so entertaining! idk why you want to pretend like he's some bleeding heart maiden when he literally fucking isn't.
my opinions are based on the text. you know the actual fucking novel? not the fanfic version of sy you people think is real. it isn't baseless hate. it's literally what happens in the text. in the future don't inbox me your hypocritical double standards. if sy "fans" want me to stop pointing out his flaws, they should talk about the actual fucking character and not the mary sue primary school teacher you made up in your head.
#svsss#shen yuan#pro shen yuan#the real fucking shen yuan#not the self insert you think is the character

Marvel Tickle Headcanons (Part 1)
(Tbh, I'm kinda unsure how to write headcanons. Also, I don't really wanna write headcanons everyone has read like, fourty times before, so this is me trying to be kinda original? Yeah, no idea if this works, probably going to figure out how this goes by your reactions.)
Headcanons for Bucky, Steve, Peter and Tony under the Cut.
Bucky
Before the "brainwashed by Hydra to be an assassin and get frozen like a popsicle thing", tickling had been a common thing in Bucky's everyday life. With a stubborn friend like Steve, whose health seems to always be on edge between coming down with something and fighting being underweight and asthmatic, Bucky had to get creative to not hurt his skinny and sickly friend without using too much rough love.
He knows to read someone very well, figuring out quickly what spots to go for and what techniques to use to get someone to submit, or in Steve's case, not get his skinny ass kicked by picking a fight with the neighborhood hooligans. Now that these times are a blink of the past and he can go full-on tickle monster on his very healthy friend, Bucky uses all the weak spots he can find to make a quick process. Someone might think he would be ruthless in his attacks, but the former assassin is anything but. He goes all out on chasing after someone and growling before pouncing on his prey like a predator, but while tickling someone, he keeps a close eye on every reaction. He slows down or stops catching any sign of exhaustion or discomfort. But that also means that pleading won't make him stop when he knows his victim isn't even near their limit (rip Peter and Steve).
The only people trying and succeeding in tickling him are Steve (pretty obvious). And to some people's surprise, Sam and Clint, although the latter two never approach Bucky alone but always have Steve with them, maybe for their safety or to sacrifice the blond, no one knows Bucky is pleased with grabbing the closest person he can get his hands on. Although he doesn't actively go for it, tickling is such a harmless, silly little thing that Bucky doesn't even mind much when someone tries to do it to him (and fails most of the time). It makes him feel included in this new world, gifting him a moment to feel like the man from Brooklyn who looks out for his dumb and heroic friend and goofs around like anyone else.
Steve
In the past, he hated getting tickled. Okay, maybe not hated, but it sucked to be so easily overpowered by that smug punk he calls a friend. After the serum did its number on him, providing him with a significant boost of enhancements and getting rid of his poor health, his view on tickling changed. Not drastically, as it still sucks when Bucky towers him with his lips pulled into a smirk and his hands digging into his ribs, but now he could fight back. And he does fight back. No one else probably fights back as much in a tickle fight as Steve Grant Rogers, and not because the feeling of getting tickled bothers him that much, and he hates it, but simply because he finally can.
If anyone tries tickling Steve Rogers, they can be 100% sure he will retaliate. And he will be smug about it. Very much. Things most of the time escalate in a full-blown tickle fight, with a bit of roughhousing and wrestling on the floor or training mats before he pins his victim down and unleashes one hell of an attack. He will tease and stop to ask what's so funny, only to go right in before the poor person under him can answer. Despite being Captain America and showcasing a strict image of a leader to the public, he can be relatively playful. If in the right mood, sitting next to Steve at movie night can turn into quite an experience (rip Peter and his naive soul).
Tony
Tony Stark hates getting tickled. And not the hate as in he slaps the offending hand away with a laugh, but seriously cannot stand being touched that way. Tony didn't carry any childhood memories of his parents being playful with him in that way, and being the son of Howard Stark put him in too much risk to be out as a child to make friends who could provide that kind of experience. He grew up receiving meager love and affection through touch. His first experience getting tickled came with growing closer to his assigned roommate at MIT, who quickly became a fusion of older brother, babysitter, and his best and only friend.
After Afghanistan, Tony's aversion to being touched skyrocketed. The billionaire has no problem stepping into the personal space of others. But any surprising touches or growing close to stepping onto his circle of personal space makes him flee the scene or make a snappish quip, quickly reminding the person that he's the one messing but will be the last person you messed with. The only people he is okay with being touched by are his best friends, Rhodey and Happy, his fiancee, Pepper, and the annoyingly likable intern who crawled right into Tony's small ring of favorite people, Peter Parker. The rest of the Avengers and him are close. A pat on the back and a squeeze of the wrist and shoulder are okay with him, but everything above that is strictly out of the question. Tony needs to be in control of the situation.
As mentioned, getting into other's personal space isn't much of a problem for Tony. Stepping a little closer than needed (Steve), leaning over someone's legs to snatch the remote away and change channels (Sam), flicking someone against the forehead (Clint), nudging someone his elbow in the side to reach the freshly brewed coffee before them (Bruce), all of these are no problem for the eccentric man.
It isn't surprising that Peter Parker would fall victim to Tony's quirks of ignoring people's personal space sooner or later. With a teenager who can get caught up in whatever little project he is working on as much as Tony, the latter learns a simple "Peter?" doesn't do much to get the kid's attention. A poke results in a jump, a simple question to a quip, and a knowing grin into a wild chase that ends with a pretty one-sided tickle fight on the old couch near the wall. Tony doesn't hold back from pointing out how different actions cause different reactions, effortlessly remembering what he needs to do to get the desired effect from the kid wriggling under him, giggling his head off. Despite not having experience, the kid tells him every time he is the most evil tickler that walks on earth, resulting in Tony smirking and Peter gulping, having dug his own grave. Tony knows the kid is humoring him, having heard the hilarious screeches the kid does when Barnes gets his hands on him, but he feels weirdly warm at the thought that Peter let him have this.
Peter
Peter Parker is many things. A good student and nephew. A great intern and an even better vigilante. But he's also clumsy and a terrible liar, which is a bad combination when being as ticklish and currently at the mercy of his mentor. Having Tony know about being ticklish made Peter want to yeet himself off the tower without his web shooters. Peter had been tickled often by his aunt and uncle. It also happened in playfights with Ned when they were younger and sometimes even now when feeling particularly energetic and a little too hyped-up through sugar and energy drinks. To Peter, tickling is just another form of affection, like hugging or running a hand through his curls, although a lot more playful. He likes receiving affection, melting in hugs, and grinning when an arm gets thrown around his shoulder. What leaves him embarrassed is the teasing that comes with it. Getting pointed out how much he's giggling, or how wide his smile grows was like pouring fuel into the fire. Getting smirked at and having the person tickling him laugh with him didn't help much either, leaving the teen curling up and trying to hide his reddening face while his shoulder shook with laughter. The teen is practically ticklish everywhere once he registers what kind of position he's in. Sometimes, Peter suspects his spidey sense is making the effect the touches have on him made it worse, but it wasn't like he could test that theory.
Peter is quick to figure out what to do to get people to laugh, having gained experience over the years playing with Ned. But the kid isn't the type to pin someone down and tickle them mercilessly for minutes. He will let up but won't let the other person get revenge without some playfighting and getting chased around. He is also not below sticking to the ceiling if that means delaying getting wrecked by whoever he made chase after him.

Um excuse me..
Pookie Can I please request Sam and darlin being parents to Fred and bright eyes 🥺
You got it stink 🫦
No warnings other than some potty language
Sorry if this kinda sucks I'm a shit writer 😬
Also pls don't get on my ass for taking so long to write this school and work has been kicking my ass also I have a habit with procrastinating so sorry about that
✨Anyways!✨
Please enjoy this this Sam/Darlin AKA Tanker/Fred/Bright Eyes fic 😌
P.S thank you for @annahhopee for proofreading this! 💛 She's pretty cool
They knew Bright Eyes were right behind them. Tanker didn't need to be a vampire to sense them. They were trying to suppress and muffle their aura but even then, Tanker could sense them. Still.
That didn't stop Bright Eyes from trying to perform a sneak "attack" on them while they were sitting on the couch. (they weren't very sneaky and they could barely put a scratch on Tanker no matter how hard they try) just a little bit closer and they could pounce on them!
"Bright, what the hell are you doing?"
Fred was…confused to say the least. His progeny/best friend was attempting to sneak up and do… whatever they were trying to do… to his maker's mate.
"God damnit, Fred! I almost had them!" Snorts "Yeahhhhh, no you didn't, Bright. I can sense you miles away." Bright Eyes sat on the couch and let out a dramatic, offended gasp. "Bullshit! No you can't!"
"What are you three arguing about again?" Sam had walked in with the rest of the groceries… confused to say the least. "Woah! Woah! Woah! Whoa! I'm not part of whatever these two got going on. That's a… 'them' situation." "Okay then… What are you two arguing about?" Sam gestured between Bright Eyes and his mate.
"Bright Eyes seems to think that I couldn't sense them when they were trying to 'sneak attack' me." "Which you couldn't!" Bright Eyes retorted quickly. "Uhh, no offense, Bright but you could probably be pushing 70 and still couldn't sneak up on 'em." "Yeahhh… I'm gonna have to agree with Sam here, Bright. You could probably be a stealth and still couldn't sneak up on them." "I can confirm. I've sensed Milo's mate multiple times." "You guys are some haters…" Bright Eyes was full-on pouting at this point. I mean how could they not? They were getting ganged up on for God sake!
"C'mon, Bright. Don't take it personally. If it makes you feel better, you could definitely sneak up and scare the shit out of Milo." "Everyone can scare the shit out of Milo, darlin. It's not exactly hard to do." "Wow, you guys! this is making me feel sooo much better." Sam put the groceries on the floor before sitting on the arm of the couch. "If it actually makes you feel better, I bought ingredients for pecan pie. All I need is a helping hand to put away all these groceries and I can get started on making it."
Bright Eyes squealed and raised their hand excitedly. "I volunteer to help make the pie, but not put away the groceries." Fred reluctantly spoke up. "I guess I'll volunteer to help put away groceries." "Which means I get to lay my ass down on the cou-"
"Oh, no you don't, darlin. You are going to help me and Bright make this pie." "Nooo…" "c'mon. Get yer ass up and help us." Tanker reluctantly got up and walked towards the kitchen with Fred, Sam and Bright Eyes. Not exactly too stoked that they had to do stuff.
After what seemed like years in Tanker's mind but was probably only 3 hours at most, the groceries were put up and the pie was finished. "Oh, thank God it's over." "Oh don't be so dramatic, darlin. You're fine." "Yeah! I bet you even had fun! Admit it!" Bright Eyes said whilst poking Tanker's face, trying to get them to smile. "Fat chance, kid." Fred giggles and softly smiles at them. "You don't have to say anything Tanker. We already know you have a secret soft spot for us!" "Yeah, yeah. Laugh it up you two. Fuckin' brats..." "Yeah but we're your brats! Which means you legally have to deal with us, so you can suck it!" Bright Eyes exclaimed, pulling Tanker and Fred towards them and hugging them both tightly.
Sam smiled at his family, feeling content and happy that his loved ones were bonding before Bright Eyes had piped up. "Get over here, old man! We're having a group hug!" Tanker smirked at Sam, but also content and happy with their second family. "Yeah, get over here, old man." Sam playfully rolled his eyes and walked over to the group hug and wrapped his arms around his family and his family wrapped their arms around him. And in that moment all of them thought 'this is the life.'
After a few more seconds, Tanker spoke up. "Alright, enough mushy feely shit. Let's eat this pie" "aww! Was that too much love and joy for you?" "Bright, if you keep sassing me, I'm throwing you out the window." "You would hurt your own child?!"
"You are not my kid!" "Yes the fuck I am! And you aren't allowed to argue with me about it!" "Uuugghh!"

How would you describe the middle class and how would you identify someone belonging to that demographic liek what are some tell tale signs besides being pretty and white with nice teeth and patagonia jackets and $7 chai lattes?
I might not be the best at defining the middle class, but for the purposes of this blog, this is roughly what I mean:
middle class is a loose group of people who don't necessarily think of themselves as having much in common with each other, plus they like to either deny their privilege and/or aspire to higher status, depending on what benefits them most in each situation.
they are of course first and foremost an economic class, but that doesn't mean that they all have a specific amount of money, possessions (like houses or cars (and definitely not superficial stuff like brands and coffees)) or income. there is some sandwich discourse here where the more factors are met, the more likely someone is considered to be middle class and act like it and be treated like it and function like it in the broader systems of power, hierarchies and oppression. Just like two slices of white bread with pb and j are more likely to be considered a sandwich than a burrito.
middle class, as the name implies, is somewhere between lower/working class and upper/ruling class. often they see themselves as "the backbone of society", as the norm/normal, as the "everyday person". they also derive quite a lot of entitlement from this view.
typical "ingredients" of the middle class sandwich are: being an employee, middle management, small/medium business owner, doing desk/office jobs that still make enough money to not have to worry where food and shelter will come from. being suitably educated and knowing how to talk, dress, behave "politely", expecting it from others.
you can see, there are lots of exceptions and edge cases already. middle class is also a very wide range, from people who do struggle financially or are actually poor for a while, to people who are rich and go to elite schools but still aren't ruling class.
and of course there are other axes of marginalisation or privilege. so, no, not all middle class people are white and the assumption that BIPOC can't be middle class is racist. that's why I often specify "white middle class" when talking about that particular (racist) mindest that we white middle class (or ex middle class) ppl have as part of our background noise. being marginalised in some way or in several ways does not mean someone's middle class privilege is irrelevant.
having a particular political opinion, like being anticapitalist or anarchist, also doesn't erase middle class privilege.
I do want to talk about middle class culture though. I feel like that's often overlooked while at the same time being at the root of a lot of problems. it starts with a mindset that puts following rules and often unspoken rules, especially rules about social hierarchies, above pretty much everything. to a truly ridiculous and illogical degree.
it's a particular set of values, that comes through in how they talk and act and in pretty much everything they do, especially in how normalised and entrenched discrimination is. discrimination really is a core part of it.
middle class culture is berating a two or three year old for asking for food when they're hungry because they didn't say "please and thank you".
it is dismissing a Black person's right to live in peace and free from attacks, because they got angry or were using "bad" (ie Black) language when under attack.
it is getting offended at people wanting to be seen as and connect to you as a living human being instead of as the subservient kind of being their lower status marks them as.
it is holding form over substance. like when it is acceptable to say the most vile racist or otherwise inhumane shit in polite language and a calm tone but absolutely scandalous to argue back against that in "improper" ways.
it is denying someone basic human decency, looking down on them and mistreating them (usually in superficially nonviolent ways or by having someone else do the physical violence like cops) and subconsciously seeing them as less than human, or not seeing them at all, acting like they don't exist, for being lower on the social hierarchy.
this is very context dependent. it hits other middle class people in some contexts, often hits working class people and lumps entire groups of people together as below the threshold of consideration. those outside of society or below working class, sometimes called the lumpen proletariat (including sans papiers, beggars, sex workers, homeless ppl, drug dealers and certain users, thieves and others doing illegalised work or coping strategies or activism (unless it's white collar crime)).
it is having immense double standards without a shred of self awareness.
it is practically worshipping hypocrisy and insincerity. that's what all the double standards and respectability bullshit boils down to. you can't mean what you say and can't say what you mean, that would be rude and uncultured, childish, threatening, embarrassing, confusing, stupid, uncivilised etc etc etc.
honesty is, in effect, a hindrance to being heard, accepted, supported our even allowed to exist in that culture.
just imagine going up to your middle manager and showing them what you really think and feel. or teacher. or your bigoted or just plain annoying relatives. or anyone middle class when you are trying to be accepted by them or are even dependent on them.
and by showing how you think and feel, I don't just mean talk calmly. that can already be dangerous. but expressing feelings includes things like crying, shouting, having trouble speaking up, being choked up, struggling for words, rambling, laughing shrilly or raucously, stimming, putting on a hood and earphones, running and jumping and fidgeting, sitting down on the pavement, dissociating, refusing to talk, refusing to listen, refusing to shut up, demanding answers, refusing to apologise when you don't think you should have to, demanding action.
demanding action, or just acting for yourself, is I guess the main thing that all this hypocrisy is meant to stop.
you're not meant to change the status quo. you're not meant to just do what's right and reasonable and just and necessary. because that would dismantle class. it would dismantle injustice and inequality. it would mean actually redistributing wealth and things and houses and land back to those it belongs to (actually belongs to, NOT legally!) or who actually need it. it would mean holding white collar monsters accountable.
it would mean protecting Black and all BIPOC people and disabled and crazy and queer people and women and children and fat people and all other oppressed people from harm, including economic exploitation, being unhoused, displaced, locked up, starved and denied their needs. or being molded, pressured, manipulated, forced into narrow acceptable boxes of how to be and how to look and act.
I could go on, but this is already long. I think one thing that I almost forgot as a now lumpen person who was never close to the upper class is the relation middle class has to the upper classes. there is envy but also mockery and disgust. the essence of middle class is to be subservient to the upper classes and being simultaneously drawn to them, wanting to be them or like them, but also knowing one's place and rejecting the idea of being like them.
we're not decadent and frivolous like them rich people! we hate billionaires! but we also love celebrities and in some places literal nobles and monarchs.
to your last point, no, I would not try to identify someone as belonging to the middle class or look for tell tale signs. what would be the point of that?
it's a CLASS. which means it's not about individuals having or buying certan things.
I don't judge people based on stuff they have little control over or on irrelevant things. I judge people based on the impact their actions and words have in context. and yeah sometimes I get super frustrated with middle class bullshit!!!
not because of white teeth or expensive beverages, but because of patterns of harm, discrimination and oppression that middle class people are part of and further and do and support to exist into the future (perpetuate).

One person I saw in the "End OTW Racism" crowd was someone who I remembered solely for their interactions in my very fandom way back in 2010. They basically have a reputation for getting angry at you for writing a character with no canonically stated ethnicity as a different race than they pictured that character. To be clear, I agree with their take that this character is probably not white, given he is described as having black, coily hair and his surname is an Arabic language one.
But if you ever wrote this guy as mixed, any ethnicity that isn't black, or being from a MENA country, this person would always lose their shit at you. It was really irritating because their logic was always that you were the racist one, the anti-black one, the one upholding white supremacy, the person who was making fandom unsafe for BIPOC, all the while they were the one tearing down anyone who wrote him as non-white who didn't do it the "right" way.
I don't hold their involvement against End OTW Racism. I think End OTW Racism is correct that harassment in fandom spaces is a problem that BIPOC face disproportionately to our white counterparts, and that OTW should recruit more volunteers to look over reports. That would undoubtedly help harassment be dealt with more efficiently. But I also think that a lot of white cishet people like this person are using supporting End OTW Racism as a shield to hide their own harassment of BIPOC in fandom spaces.
Like a lot of Amazigh people, I saw this character as possibly reading as Amazigh. That doesn't mean I hate black people. That doesn't mean he can't be both; black Amazigh people have existed for centuries due to intermarriage, after all. That also doesn't mean I have the right to harass people who write him as black as having written him incorrectly. The idea that you must hate [insert group here] if you don't write a character as part of that group is ridiculous.
And I just want to note that no black person has ever given me shit for writing him as Amazigh. Actually, several black people have told me that they relate to having to make your own representation in fiction where there isn't any. So it's messed up for a white person to step in and say they're offended on behalf of black people when no black person has stated they're offended.
The good news is that this person has switched fandoms since 2010, probably because no amount of having meltdowns made people abandon their versions of the character. And without them throwing a fit, we've been able to see a lot of variations on him - Amazigh, Arab, black, mixed, Muslim, Jewish, follower of Indigenous North African spirituality, atheist - that the fandom has had a lot of fun with.
White people, I get that there are assholes who need telling off in fandom. Believe me, I've met them. But respectfully, please learn to listen to black people before you rush in to defend them. If none of them are offended, what are the odds that you know better about racism than they do? (The same goes for other races. Don't rush in to defend people who are not under attack on a whim.)
I know a lot of people are trying to be progressive but until white people learn not to do this, they are still contributing to a climate that's hostile for BIPOC fans.

The Workbench Entry 11/26/2024: Up in Man-At-Arms?
Hi, birdies. Today on the Workbench... we need to talk and please let's keep the tone kind and calm.
Recently, I got wind of the casting choices for the upcoming live action He-Man film which I am very excited about and I saw that Idris Elba is going to play Man-At-Arms. I love this actor and I think his presence in the film would be an excellent, but I can't lie. I think casting matters and I make it no secret that I do not agree with "swapping", in this race swapping, because I find that every time you do, it is wasted opportunity to showcase an existing character or an original one. I would have used this opportunity to showcase the obscure hero Clamp-Champ who I'm sure would have been well received or Man-At-Arms' mentor Dekker would have been more fitting since he does have that wise and strong look. Plus, I also admit I would have felt the same way is a white man who did not look he could pass off as Man-At-Arms and did not have the signature moustache was slated to play him.
However, I also accept that just because it is not a creative decision I agree with doesn't mean other artists can't go for it anyway. It also definitely doesn't mean I am any less excited about the film or believe it won't be good anymore. Who knows? Maybe Mr. Idris Elba will prove to be a shining bright blue moon as Man-At-Arms the way Samuel Jackson was as Nick Fury even though he is canonically white. And even if he isn't, as long as he does his best, I can let it slide.
However, this is NOT the topic I want to talk about really. What I want to talk about is how when I expressed my disagreement and gave this argument, it was not received the right way. I was attacked, shamed, gaslighted and insulted just because people did not agree with me. It is a very depressing experience when you express an opinion even in the kindest way possible while backing it up with a sound argument and alternative yet all people hear is the part where you say "I don't agree with this". This is not the way the He-Man community should be. It's not the way any fandom community should be. We should be free to express our opinions even when they don't match up in so long as you're not offending anyone. With that said, I wasn't. I was not offending the actor, a group or anyone for believing that when it comes to live action, you should look the part to an extent. Also, I'm not the only person who thinks this way. If you don't agree, that's ok. Creative choices are debatable and up to the artist. Yet this is not the way a lot of people are in many fandoms anymore and it is depressing.
Fandoms should be a safe inclusive space for everyone where free speech and free thought should be welcomed not punished. So I don't agree with this casting choice, so what? I also didn't like He-Man's haircut in the original cartoon, but I still liked the show. I didn't like Teela's design in the 2002 reboot, but I still liked that show too. I don't like how Tri-Klops was reimagined in the Netflix CGI cartoon, but I still like that show as well (and for the record, I fully accept that it is a reimagined new story with some key elements staying the same not a retelling). You cannot like things about something and still like the thing overall. Nothing is perfect and art subjective.
Differences of opinion don't ruin fandoms or medias. Bad attitudes do.

Skip and Loafer: Ah, Youth!
Hi everyone! It's been a while!
I've just finished watching Skip and Loafer, a slice of life anime... It's been a while since I've watched a slice of life anime, especially when it's so relatable for me. I have gone through that period of youth with certain thinking, meeting new people with different personalities, and just simply enjoying life!
Although our youth journeys may not have involved certain famous figures or having a specific large scale event such as cultural event(in Japan), I've come to find a few things in common for us, simply as adolescents (whether becoming one, now or past) and as humans through this anime.
*Again, SPOILER ALERT!!*
Our story begins with Mitsumi, a girl who is living in the city, Tokyo, for the first time. The moment you see her, you'd just root for her to the end, because of her funny, cheerful vibes and most importantly, her willingness to pursue achieving her goals relentlessly. I admired her for that, to become a government official to solve the problem of depopulation in not just her hometown, but also the other parts of Tokyo. Sounds big, right?
And then, we have the other end of the spectrum, Shima, who doesn't even know about what he'll do in the future, and with his 'whatever' attitude. Although he seems to be a 'happy-go-lucky' person, deep down it was revealed that he had some unhealed trauma in the past as a child actor. He seldom talk to others about his relationship with his family to even his closest friends. So, he doesn't really know how to interact with people, especially his family.
So, when you put this 2 together, you'll get the both of them being freaking wholesome without having to be a couple!!!
(Honestly that's my favourite part, that a guy and a girl can have fun without having any romantic relationship, and that the plot os not just the girl getting all flustered and nervous while interacting with the guy. They act normal and relaxed around each other, and that's something! Please, this is just my own thoughts and opinion, so please don't attack me on this!!)
Jk, the thing is, they are pretty open to learning about and from each other. They also to begin to understand each other more through resolving of conflict, one that Shima had 'never had since elementary school'. I mean, who would want to admit that they're wrong first with their relationship and their impression at stake? That was what Shima admired about Mitsumi- She has the guts to do whatever she feels right, and she has a good moral compass, so technically that is a good thing.
She also has a goal in mind (please refer to the top if confused), which is also something Shima is envious about. With his past, he finds it hard to be able to do anything freely, and that any way of saying 'no' to people's request is a form of 'rebellion', which would offend people and result them in doing mean stuff to him. That happened in the past, and he didn't want to do it again. Not when his model friend is having such a successful career. He wishes to have the same freedom as Mitsumi did. But because of his habits of doing whatever people wanted, he couldn't seem to being himself to think about what he wanted from himself, not even being able to 'answer the question of what is his favorite food'. So you definitely know that Shima had a character development when he finally declared his thought, that he 'likes going to high school'. That made me realize how much he'd grown as a person, and finding his identity and possibly in the future, what he wants to do.
And hopefully, whether he succeeds or not, Mitsumi would bring him to a place to eat.
On Mitsumi's side, she seems like the person you would definitely want to be friends with. Kind, caring, empathetic and hilarious(on her part, really) and relentlessly pursuing her dreams. My respect for her shot up so much when she told Shima that 'it's ok if I trip or fall, because I know how to get up!' She is the kind of girl who is almost the opposite of Shima-open to people, close to her family members, studious and focused, open-minded... you can name a few!
However, one similarity and that same pitfall she had was running around and taking up all the responsibilities. When this becomes too much for her, she breaks down and cries, because of the stresses of not being able to save every single promise from everyone who requested her of something. Shima sees Mitsumi when she was in her worst state, when they were preparing for the upcoming Cultural festival, and that she couldn't get her comments to her classmates because she was busy with other student council work. While Mitsumi wishes to accomplish many goals, she has the tendency to take too much, and when happens, she gets too stressed. Shima understands this, and wanted to comfort her. By bringing her through the steps of his part, while singing 'My Little Rose ', Shima is doing his part to include Mitsumi into their class's play, which she had been so out of touch from, to assure her that what she had done would not spoil the relationship she has with her classmates, if she talks to them and understands where they're coming from. This little part of the play was shown do much on the screen, but it did show one thing- that their friendship is tied between the trust and fun of 2 people.
So after all this blabbering, what now? What has this got to do with youth? Why do i have to sigh at the start of this blog??
Well, Skip and Loafer took me on an adventure or a historical nonfiction of youth, and the depiction was real and raw. Sudden moments and thoughts weaved together shows as who we are as a person. As adolescents, we were in search of our identities, our dreams and aspirations, our relationships and connections, and the memories built from it. See, it's like crocheting from a ball of yarn to form a scarf. Something that you'd hold on dear to. And that's what Skip and Loafer tells us about. Keep an open mind, experience the bittersweet taste of youth, and keep going.
That's it! It close to midnight on my side of the Earth. So to the person reading this, whenever you are, wherever you are, have a great day, and a great night!!

I'm going to continue this bit because honestly the way people are interacting with me is getting significantly more and more annoying.
thinking about tti occupies like, half an hour of my total day, and I didn't even think about it at all when there were no updates.
this blog represents a very tiny, insignificant part of my life and making judgments based off of how I post here is extremely weird. even making assumptions about me based on my main is weird!
I once had a complete stranger reblog one of my joke posts and literally tag it as "no offense op but I have learned everything I need to know about you as a person" like you guys realize why that mindset is extremely creepy and weird, right?
would you say those kinds of things in a conversation with a classmate? a cashier? a new coworker? a distant relative? no! you wouldn't, because that would come off as extremely invasive and stalker-y!
so when you send this blog weird jokes on anon, I can only assume they're jokes, because again, you might joke around with your friends about being homophobic but I don't with mine. so I can only guess that you're kidding and referencing an internet humor thing I don't understand because I'm an adult and don't really use social media anymore.
and what happens in these parasocial relationships you build with internet personas is that you put someone on a pedestal as this untouchable force, you start believing that you are entitled to their time and kindness when these people don't owe you anything. you crave their attention so badly you start sending them dumbass asks either kissing their ass or trying to provoke them because it makes you feel better about yourself, I guess?
but then when the person in question does something that catches you off guard, or that offends you, or that you just don't like, you feel betrayed and hurt, and you turn to attacking them or vagueing them or whatever it is.
this kind of behavior is what leads to these incredibly uncomfortable situations like what happened with mod courtney.
like when I was around 16 years old on an old personal account, I started receiving some pretty inflammatory comments getting mad about the way I was criticizing a piece of media I didn't like. eventually, over private message, a mutual IN HER 20'S admitted to sending them because she felt personally hurt that I was criticizing something she liked. this grown ass woman, who I had never had a conversation with before, had grown such an attachment to me that she took me not liking one of her interests as a personal attack. I was 16 years old and expected to be responsible for the emotions of an adult woman because I made her feel rejected.
this also goes the other way around btw like I have been idolized by minors and it makes me so uncomfortable. PLEASE be safer online, you have no idea who's going to turn out to be a terrible person.
anyway. just because someone is online does not mean it's okay to act like an asshole? I'm so sick of you freaks thinking it's all fine and good to be dickheads because it's words on a screen. you understand that you're talking to real people, right? they're probably reading your asks while taking a fat dump on their grandma's toilet. they have faces. people faces. and lives outside of the internet. and it's disturbing watching you treat other people like entertainment just because they post sometimes.
there's a certain threshold of time between following someone and becoming friends that you need to learn to be respectful during. it's perfectly okay to mess up sometimes and it's okay to feel upset when someone sets a boundary because of you. rejection sensitivity is hard, but expecting everyone else to cater to you instead of working on your internal reactions to perceived rejection and social slights is manipulative.
also purposefully sending people annoying asks to get a rise out of them really isn't funny. are you my five year old little brother now. are you going to sign off each anon with "problem, officer?" can you just call me fat like the good old days. can we just bring back rickrolling instead.
no tldr you read the post or you don't.

"focus on bts" while a whole genocide is happening girl shut the fuck up
I actually received this anon hate last night after posting "FOCUS ON BTS" here on my blog, the funny thing is I saw the notification minutes after I posted it.
I'm thinking... you might be one my follower or you are on Bangtan's tags to see my post that fast. Hmm so who's focusing on BTS more? 😅
I'm actually aware of what's happening rn, I'm not stupid like you ANON.
I didn't reply to this last night bc I don't want to spoil my night. I was so hyped last night bc we are getting a new music from Tae. A NEW CONTENT. I'm so hyped up I can't contain my excitement bc we have lot of things (FRI(END)S, HOTS and D-Day The Movie) to look forward to from Bangtan. Then this happened.
I actually imagined if I am going to answer this anon hate I will look 'cold hearted' and 'too blinded by BTS', z!onist and many more. 😮💨 I've seen them on X and TikTok, they are actually everywhere now. Well, I will not shut the fuck up just bc you say so ANON.
I actually posted 'FOCUS ON BTS' bc we have a comeback, a new music that we are all excited about. It's normal that every time there's a comeback or a new content we actually use the term 'BTS LOCKDOWN' or 'FOCUS ON BTS'. I started to use the term 'FOCUS ON BTS' since the Jungkook incident during his speech in AMA's. 😅 I didn't know that posting this term will trigger someone.
I know your kind ANON, you guys just found a new way to drag Bangtan's name. You guys are no longer focusing on the MAIN issue right now, you are now FOCUSING ON BTS just to drag them down. Whenever you guys see a post about BTS you guys always connect it with genocide and Zionist. I mean WTF.
You guys are new strain of ANTIS. Most of you will say the "the boycott is for HYBE not BTS". Btch please, look at yourself! I'm sure you're listening and supporting other artist of HYBE right now. Hypocrites. Just say that you don't like Bangtan. End of story. Don't use or include them in this global issue.
Also ANON if you're an ARMY but boycotting Bangtan's work, don't ever call yourself an ARMY if you don't trust the boys. You are free to protest but PLEASE don't use their names and faces to your profiles. You are also free to leave the fandom.
If you want to boycott BTS bc of your malicious and judgemental minds then go. But don't expect everyone will follow you just bc you say so. You guys are no longer doing the boycott to support Palestine, you only do this for your own satisfaction. You guys are acting like you really care about this global problem but you're not. You guys just want to be involve just to show to other people that you really care, but you're not if you guys are only attacking and FOCUSING TO BTS.
Go out to protest and fight what you think is right. Don't hide on your account using your idols name and face.
We have different ways and other ways to show our support to Palestine 💜 🙏🏻 I just hope everyone understands that.
I wonder if I posted 'FOCUS ON CATS' or 'FOCUS ON *insert name of different artist' or 'FOCUS ON MY JOB' or.. 'FOCUS ON MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS' will I get this message from this ANON? I think not.
I get this anon hate bc my post is about Bangtan.
Thank you so much to people like you ANON bc of ANTIS like you encouraged us to support BTS more and doubled our efforts more. Seriously we are more inspired rn. I love the energy that ARMY is giving rn 💜
This blog is dedicated for 'BTS'. A blog where I show my passion for giffing everything about BTS. I show my love for them here on my blog, soooooo what do you expect from me 😅 I will use my personal socmed accounts if I want to fight for something or I have an advocacy that isn't connected to Bangtan. I will never use BTS name or my fandom's name to fight for something I think is right.
Soooooo if you don't want to see me supporting BTS and felt offended about this loooooong post (bc I know there are a lot of you ANTIS here rn), you're free to unfollow and block me.
Bye ANON, I hope you always get a good night sleep.
x
#anon hate#FOCUS ON BTS#so for the looooong post#i rarely stand up to this kind of hate but sometimes its too much. too much.

People say to me when I ship kikyo an inuyasha together is “ no or shut up or get the hell out and never come back” should we still go at war with these people even though we want to end this fight and this is the many people on popular websites they lower people down to make sure there thing is agreed to what should we do ( thank you for being the best person to ship them)
I see. The humiliation of InuKik fans continues. You should tell them something similar! It really hit me when you wrote that because I really know what it's like. I had to go through this too. I'm really sorry you went through this, but don't give up and don't let them intimidate you and shut you down. You have the right to have the same voice as them! Don't let the words get to you! People you don't know! Just say your opinion, you are not worse, they behave worse, think that if they like this shitty ship, they are allowed to do anything and that they are better! It's not true! They want a fight, of course they will get it, but it is best to deal with them substantively based on facts instead of lowering yourself to their level.
We really cannot allow our silencing to continue, we are not inferior! Even if we write a post, we are met with attacks, it cannot continue like this. They silence us all the time, even when we write something and it has nothing to do with them, it's our opinion. Enough! We are not worse, it's time to respond to them. Show that we will not allow ourselves to be humiliated!
Believe me, I've really had enough. In another fandom I'm in, I totally fell in love with a male character. Of course, I face hatred and many times my love has been tested and humiliated. I didn't allow myself for someone I don't know to humiliate me and ridicule my love because that's person hates this character (of course, karma quickly came back to them 😂),I love their howling. I'm just biting back, in a way that offends, but doesn't attack. This is the best way. You need to respond to such people calmly, without emotions, and substantively.
So please don't allow yourself to be silenced. It doesn't matter what your opinion is - whether it's anti, constructive criticism or praise for InuKik/Kikyo. We have the right to speak and respond when someone attacks us for InuKik/Kikyo.
I really think we are too lenient and nice to them. It's time for us to start speaking more boldly, we really are not doing anything wrong!
We are not inferior as they think! They are not the masters of the fandom or ours!
Please don't get me wrong. I'm not calling you to fight them, I'm just asking you not to let them silence you and speak your opinion! Let's just not let them shut us up and silence us like they have been doing to us for years, many, many years. It's 2024 and I get this message, it means it's still going on, it's just terrifying! It's time to break this chain of humiliation.
Most anti fans are afraid to express a negative/anti opinion about InuKag/Kagome, we really need to become braver! They insult and humiliate Kikyou and InuKik all the time. We also have the right to express our opinion, negative or constructive criticism.
If you express your opinion about inukag/kagome or just say that the Kikyou/Inuyasha ship and they don't like it, that's THEIR problem, and you do your own thing
And again I am asking you not to let the words get to you and to shut up! Like I said, they don't like it? It's their business, do your thing, don't let yourself be silenced!
It came out a bit emotional, but I hope you understand my message. We cannot allow ourselves to be humiliated by others just because we have another favorite character and ship! Everyone deserves respect, but not everyone understands it and considers themselves better.
Am I the best person to ship them? Wow Thank you very much for such words! And best regards and I wish you all the best!😊

I truly don't think you deserved the aggression you received in regards to the Stanley contest, and I do apologize on behalf of all that. It was just supposed to be for the sake of fun and stay as a silly game after all, and it was clear you were also just trying to have some lighthearted fun.
However, I did just want to swing by and shed a bit of light on the other side of the competition and the lashback that stemmed from it, not to excuse any insults thrown around or actions taken, but to convey that this didn't really come from a place of pettiness or any particular desire to make you feel bad, at least as far as I can tell. To paint the scene, your admittedly simplistic cat Stanley design was put up against an alternative, interpretation of the same canon source; a fat, transfemme character of color, which obviously deviates from the canon quite a bit, and was recently put under fire for such on the op's blog outside of the contest. All that, and it seemed for a minute that said rendition was losing to your cat Stanley, which struck more than a few chords. Hopefully you can see what I'm getting at, not to throw around accusations, but those being traits that often get needlessly discriminated against, especially in regards to redesigns of canon characters, it appeared as though others were willing to vote for any other design that wasn't those things, even if they visibly varied in dedication.
Of course, that's not your fault. This isn't in any way said to fault you and I truly do hate that you had to face that negative outcry directly as though it was, or even be ridiculed for what's a very innocent design and concept made for the sake of fun. This message was just to reach out and speak on behalf of the other side's dilemma so it didn't seem so black and white and red all over. Hopefully I've been able to convey that and you understand a little bit. Regardless, I sincerely hope this whole mess doesn't dissuade you any and you can still go and have your fun past this. You seem like a very nice person and it's clear that your design comes from a place of love just the same, so I hope that much you can still enjoy.
May your week improve past all this!
* Hey, anon, first of all, thank you so much for taking the time to send this ask. I admit that I didn't stop to consider the other side of the competition, and it's really wonderful of you to come in and try to explain what may have happened.
* After some thought, I do realize that those people's comments weren't meant as a personal insult to me. They wanted the other design to win, and I understand that sentiment. And while I was a little offended by the criticism my Stanley received, I don't deny that he's very simple. I mean, I designed him that way for a reason — simple designs are easier for me to draw, and just what I like.
* But I had no idea that the other design was attacked for deviating from canon. Having to deal with that kind of stuff is terrible, and I'm really sorry that it happened to them. I see why the possibility of my cat beating their design purely because of prejudice stirred up some emotions.
* I'm not sure how much of this makes sense. If you understand none of it, then that's alright. Just please know this: I bear no ill will towards those who think my design is low effort. While I personally don't think that, I can see why others may say that.
* Again, thank you anon for this ask. I still love my little cat Stanley, and The Stanley Parable. And I hope everyone reading this has an awesome week :)
#ask#anon#i wasn't expecting this kind of response#im honestly stunned#but i hope my point is clear#i dont hate any of the people who criticized my stanley design#and i really do love tomi-chuu's design. their stanley is beautiful /gen

Rant from a cishet person about how fucking appalling and inhumane the "you being LGBTQA+ offends me" crowd has been and continues to be...
Just now, hearing some rightwing sack of shit talking head on TV...
Or reading about corporations pulling support from LGBTQA+ people because customers are attacking employees (you protect the employees by protecting the employees, not by abandoning LGBTQA+ people--who are some of your employees!)...
It's absolutely fucking tiresome to keep hearing this inane argument: "You're not doing gay right, you're turning people away, you're making other people feel uncomfortable."
I'm not LGBTQA+. But let's not pretend that this anti-LGBTQA+ bullshit isn't also gunning for anyone who doesn't quite match this rightwing fascist movement's desire for what they consider to be an ideal man or an ideal woman. When they are attacking LGBTQA+ people, they are attacking all of us, cis and straight included, for not matching their cisheteronormative standard.
It's the same shit that has has white people like me getting called traitors to my race (yes, that has happened more than once to me) for saying Black lives matter, or that this bigoted bullshit has to stop, or that you have to dismantle the Republican Party and make sure not one of them ever can run for office again. I can be as white as white can be, and it still would never be enough for these bigots. (That's not even getting into me being Polish and Irish and having relatives not that many generations removed who were born in Poland and Ireland--and how Polish and Irish identities were only considered "white" in recent history, not that long ago.)
So, I say this as a cishet person: let people be LGBTQA+, there is no right way for someone who is LGBTQA+ to be gay or trans or bi or queer, every individual person's experience is their own, it's none of your business, please fuck off and stay silent forever.
Asking them to be more "traditional" is not the flex you think it is: so, what, you want LGBTQA+ people to be like how earlier generations of LGBTQA+ people were? What the hell, you didn't accept LGBTQA+ people back in the 80s, 70s, 60s, and so on. Or, do you mean time periods where being LGBTQA+ was not a problem, or cultures where that isn't a problem, or nations where that isn't a problem--those traditions, then? That's not what you're asking for: acting like earlier generations of LGBTQA+ people were somehow more accepted is whitewashing history, and acting like what you mean by "tradition" now has some historical source is just a lie--there was no shared tradition, it varied by time and culture and location.
And it's ignoring the reality that nothing will ever be enough for these bigots: "Thank you for caving to our demands--but we're still not satisfied, so now we are making more demands."
I have been neutral on "no kink at Pride" / "kink at Pride" discussions. Now? Now, when just having any LGBTQA+ event risks getting you getting arrested or fined because "think of the children"? Now, when "you're making me uncomfortable being gay or trans in public"? Now, when they are literally telling people they can't use the fucking bathroom?! No, have kink at Pride, have no kink at Pride, do what is correct for you, if you don't like it, just don't go.
But don't compromise on your identity or how you express yourself just because someone gets offended: that's their problem, just do what keeps you safe and lets you be you (as much of a near impossibility that is in so many parts of the world and especially right now in the US, where being who you are can indeed make you unsafe--pay attention to those travel advisories about which states and cities are not LGBTQA+-accepting).

This is how Maribella and Jen first met.
Maribella was out for her usual stroll across her town of Nova, just a normal day as usual for her. She felt a little hungry so she stopped by a fruit stand and bought two apples, one for now and one for later.
Maribella went into a shaded area and ate one of the apples, while she ate the owner of the fruit stand walked away for a break, 2 minutes passed and nothing unusual had happened. But then all of a sudden, a cloaked person came from behind the stand and stole an apple. Maribella saw this and thought, "Why did they steal such cheap food?", and saw the cloaked person run into the woods, she desided to follow this thief to see what they were going to do. If they were indecent enough to steal, what else could they do?
It felt like a bad idea following someone that was potentially dangerous, but she wanted to try and understand why the thief did what they did. Maribella was almost caught by the thief a few times due to her clumsiness, but she managed to stay hidden. Eventually the thief stopped near a stream where a small boat was, the boat most likely belonging to them. Maribella went to hide behind a tree so that she wouldn't be caught.
The thief took the cloak's hood off their head, and began eating the apple they stole. Maribella got to what the thief looked like, the thief seemed to be a tall young man with very pale skin, scars on his face, brown hair, a bit of an odd nose, and blue eyes with tired bags under them. A lot of people would say he wasn't too attractive, but to Maribella she thought the young man looked quite beautiful for some reason. She didn't know why, just something about him stuck out to her. She also felt sympathy for the young man as he seemed tired and even a bit depressed.
After the thief was done eating he pulled his cloak back up and was about to get on the boat. Maribella thought it was time to get going as well as she believed the thief had done no harm and was simply hungry. But as she was walking away she stepped on a twig and it made a loud CRACK! She turned around and realized the thief had spotted her. They looked at eachother in fear, Marbella was afraid she was about to be attacked, and the thief seemed to be afraid someone saw him stole.
Maribella began running as fast as she could, and the thief began to chase after her, after moments of aimless running, Maribella had suddenly tripped and the thief seemed to have caught up to her, all Maribella could do was back up into a tree and cover herself.
"Please!", she begged, "I mean no harm! Don't hurt me!", she said quivering and terrified, she even almost started crying. Most other thief's would have probably attacked her for good measure, but this thief realized she was telling the truth and could see her fear was real. So he held out his hand to her, Maribella realized the thief didn't want to hurt her, so she grabbed his had and the thief helped her up. They looked at eachother for a moment, no words were spoken for a while. "Umm", Maribella awkwardly said, "Thank you sir-"
Then the thief asked, "Who are you? Were you following me? Are you someone of the law?" Maribella looked away for a moment before answering the thief's question, "My name is Maribella, and I'm not someone of the law but I did follow you. I saw you steal an apple so I wondered if you were dangerous, I mean if you had the guts to steal I figured you were capable of worse, but it seems I was wrong."
The thief then sighed and said "Don't you think it's creepy to follow someone? Where are your manners?" "I apologize sir", replied Maribella, "I was just wondering why you were indecent enough to steal." The thief looked offended at how she described the theft, "I didn't steal because of indecency! I stole because that's how I live. It's hard to get a job where I live."
The thief started walking back to the stream and Maribella decided to follow him, "Why are you still following me?" Asked the thief, "Because I still have questions." replied Maribella, "Well ask them now because I'm not answering them later." the thief said.
"I'm curious sir, why didn't you attack me?" Maribella asked, the thief told her "Because I had no reason to, you're innocent. If you had the intent of attacking me that would be a different story. But I'm not just going to attack an innocent person."
Maribella then asked, "Who are you?", "That's not important to you, besides, I don't want you telling people in the town I was here." the thief replied.
"Then I won't tell anybody if that's what you want me to do." Maribella replied, "Hmm...I can't say I believe you, but you seem honest, so I guess I have to take your word." the thief replied.
It was about to storm, the thunder was starting to roar and the waves were starting to get a bit rowdy. "I have to get going now, you best get home too." the thief told Maribella. "Alright then, do you think we'll meet again?" Maribella asked. "Most likely not, but don't feel too sad about it. I'm not someone you'd like." the thief replied.
"Have a good day sir." Maribella told the thief has he was walking to his boat, "Um, you too." said the thief said awkwardly. Then the two went on their way.

It's not hard to understand why there are more out trans people now if you aren't a dullard acting in bad faith. When the threat of violence and legal marginalization was even more of a threat, people lived whole lives in the closet or just commited suicide quietly, not adding to the statistic. Pretty easy conclusion.
I can also say anecdotally that being on estrogen has been far more helpful than the cocktail of SSRIs, Stimulants, and Antipsychotics I've been made to take since I was 11. And I know that being on puberty blockers instead would have spared me a lot of pain
I imagine you're going to pretend you're against all those medications for children too. Even though it's far more widespread and harmful, it's clearly a lower priority to you. And you're going to continue credulously qouting the same psych industry that doles out those meds numbers on diagnosable gender dysphoria.
Either way as shitty as you are I hope you find happinees some day. I mean performative Christian whose obssessed with us, come on, we've all seen where this goes before.
Until that day stop shitting up our tags, I'm trying to look at nice posts on my lunch break.
So this person is saying people who are in the closet also commit suicide, because they couldn't come out and be themselves. (I believe that's what they are saying). I agree that is probably true. And I am not saying trans people commit suicide because they are trans people. I am saying they commit suicide because they struggle and I think we need to help them not only by transitioning them but offering counseling and such. It is simply a fact, I am not attempting to weaponize it, against trans people but rather people who say cis people are just jealous.
Now please do not be offended by my response.
Was it hard to get put on estrogen? Were you diagnosed with gender dysphoria? What was it like to get put on estrogen? I disagree that puberty blockers are a good thing. I still don't think children can consent.
If you're 18 I have no qualms with your transition. I don't applaud you as a hero. But I'll let you live your life. I don't think being trans is really a big deal. Unless it is a child who has yet to go through puberty.
You bring up a good point with the other medication kids can be on
Those medications for children: SSRIs ( anti depressants I believe), stimulants, and anti psychotics. The reason I am somewhat okay with those for kids is because they do not change your body's function or structure on a physical scale to such a great extent as puberty blockers. (Ex: they do not change your bone density ect..) I wish kids didn't have to be on them (anti depressants and such), but sometimes their situations call for it. That should be a medical choice that involves a professional and their parents.
Another thing on that point is: no one is glorifying their mass amount of medication. (Well some are but not the extent of people glorifying being trans)
We can probably both agree being trans is a difficult journey. That is why it is not fit for a child.
I do not enjoy being called a performative Christian. I don't care how you judge me but rather how God would.
Isaiah 56:1 (NIV)
“This is what the Lord says: “Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed.”
Here are my beliefs layed out for you to attack as you please;
I disagree with transition as a Christian (that means I will not transition myself or encourage it). But I believe from a legal standpoint adults have the right to do as they please to their bodies. Children do not because they are underaged.
I believe your best point was about the use of other drugs on children. But you still failed to actually defend your case as a whole. You have mainly attacked my character. Which isn't really what invalidates an idea.
I would also like to know what it is like for you to be on estrogen. If you don't respond that's fine, if you would just tell me about it in an "ask" I won't respond publicly to it. I am genuinely just curious.
Thank you for your ask ♥️

Every point you made is absolutely correct. Also, I'm greatly enjoying the concept that there is one (1) moment when Jace does something that actually impresses Fabian. It's when they leave all the cities and they're out in the wilderness, and Jace is dying for some caffeine and he knows everyone else probably is too so he conjures a bunch of cortados out of thin air. And Fabian is like "Ah! Excellent! See, this is why we brought you!"
Which just pisses Jace off more, that that's the thing he did that this kid appreciates, that he's now seen as just a walking drinks vendor.
Going back up to the earlier reblog now I've gotten the thought of an absolutely livid Jace ranting to a very bored Porter out of my head.
I think it's very on brand for Adaine to resist the stuff he's saying, which is unfortunate because a lot of what Jace teaches his sorcery students (esp the Wild Magic lot) could probably help a lot with anxiety. Like there's a lot of emotional regulation and self-soothing and getting better at noticing what's going on within your body so you can notice symptoms before they flare up into a full blown attack.
Jace's response to Ayda visibly not liking him is to get even more chill and nice (so, even more fake), which probably confuses Ayda more, like 'I have told this man to his face that I do not trust or like him, why is he still here and why is he still smiling?'
Jace gives Gorgug so much praise and thanks for getting the satellite working, like there's just a sweet moment between them where they're both bonding over their partners being so far away and how hard it is, and how relieved they both are that they can finally speak to them again. I think Gorgug is kind of awkward at first about Jace mentioning Porter, like he's scared he'll offend Jace if he clocks onto the fact that Gorgug doesn't really like Porter. But when Gorgug does finally say something, Jace replies like "I really don't blame you. I mean, I love the man, but that doesn't mean I approve of the way he teaches." (It turns out that Bitching About Porter is one of Jace's favourite passtimes and he and Gorgug just get into it. "And he's so fucking creepy!" "So creepy! It's just a constant villain monologue, from the moment he wakes up!")
On the other NPCs, I think he and Sandra Lynn find some common ground, despite the antagonism that came from competing over Garthy. They're both aware that they probably wouldn't be friends outside of this forced interaction, but while they're here they can share a drink and swap wild stories whenever they're on watch together.
Jace hates Gilear, but Gilear is convinced that Jace is actually a very good friend. Which doesn't help the Gilear 2.0 allegations, when Gilear is so buddy-buddy with him.
Jace manages to convince Ragh that the invisible person that Ragh saw him speaking to on the night of the Prompocalypse was Eugenia Shadow. (He doesn't say her name, just calls her the rogue teacher, and explains that she was invisible because of the whole catch-me-if-you-can thing, which Riz confirms is legit.)
Jace quietly high-key relates to Tracker's struggle of putting way more into the relationship than she's getting back, but he keeps that shit to himself.
Jace would be fascinated by Cathilda and low-key convinced she's some kind of spy or double agent, because he can't fathom how someone with so much skill would just be content with being someone's maid. But then they chat (maybe while Jace subtly has Detect Thoughts going) and he realises like 'oh, this isn't a front, she genuinely is as happy as I pretend to be.'
Also, please consider the hilarity of Jace watching Arthur Aguefort GROW TO 500 FEET TALL AND GRAB THE SUN. His first two thoughts are just 'I'm so glad Porter isn't here because he would spend the next week demanding to know why I can't let him do that' and 'oh there's just no way we can kill Aguefort. We just can't.'
Like he knew Aguefort was powerful, he didn't know he was GRAB THE SUN powerful.
Like. I’m living in this au now where the bad kids really did bring Jace in as a hireling for sophomore year. Guilt complex bc of Porter’s Plan is always in the back of his mind, meanwhile guy who has never had responsibilities in his life has to herd the bad kids like cats. He feels terrible the whole time bc adaine actually does kinda connect w him abt their parents being elven assholes who had incredibly high expectations. She somehow finds out abt him failing to wizard multiclass and bc she is adaine she is very ruthless abt giving him a hard time abt it, but in a way that’s actually… kinda affectionate. But she also kinda gets it bc Fig has always been naturally good at everything she tries but she’s not the most studious. And hey, fig is great. Fabian experiences a real genuine failure for like the first time after years of being told he was destined for greatness and Jace is like. I’m in this fucking picture. I don’t like it.
#btw don't worry Porter got phone sex eventually. he just had to listen to Jace bitch for like an hour first#jace hireling au#jace stardiamond
