Notes: Happy Holidays, @starkly !!!! ( @starkerfestivals ) There may be be some smut in the future if you want it, but here is the actual gift, I hope you like you!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
~~~~~~~~~~~
Peter sighs softly, putting his pencil down and rubbing his eyes. He’s been studying for this calculus final for three hours, and he’s honestly considering giving up and winging it. Finals week sucks.
“Peter?” May asks, sounding tired. “I’m home.”
Peter lights up at that, running from his room into the living room. “May!” he greets happily, hugging her around the waist. “How was work?”
“Busy,” she sighs softly, hugging her nephew back. “What’s for dinner?”
“I made us spaghetti, your plate is in the oven to keep warm,” Peter says, pulling away. “I have chicken in the freezer too, I can make something with that for tomorrow.”
“Actually,” May says, putting her purse and keys up and walking towards the oven. “Your uncle is coming to visit. We should probably pull out the big stops.”
Peter lights up, eyes wide. He tries to play it cool, like he isn’t hoping for one answer or another. “Which one, Uncle Mike or Uncle Tony?” Uncle Mike is May’s brother, and he comes around more often. But Uncle Tony…Uncle Tony has always been, and always will be, his favorite uncle.
“Your Uncle Tony,” May clarifies, grabbing a fork and grinning knowingly at Peter. “I know he’s your favorite, kiddo, don’t try and hide it. He always brings the good presents.”
Peter’s family tree has always been confusing to other children. When he was a child, his parents died in a plane crash. His father’s brother, Uncle Ben, and his wife May, took Peter in and raised him. Peter has three uncles, though; his Uncle Ben, who has also since passed, his Uncle Mike, who is May’s brother, and his Uncle Tony, who is his mom’s brother. Uncle Mike isn’t technically his uncle, but because he was raised by Aunt May, he’s always viewed him as such.
Uncle Tony is the strangest one to explain. Uncle Tony ran away when he was 16 years old, after getting into MIT. He never looked back, leaving his little sister Mary behind. Feeling betrayed by his abandonment and leaving her in their abusive parents’ control, she never spoke to him again. It wasn’t until she and her husband died that he knew he had to do something. He tracked down May and Ben, explaining who he was, and asking if he could be allowed to see Peter occasionally.
Considering Tony was a self-made billionaire, a genius, and they didn’t know the full backstory of Mary and Tony’s childhood, they thought he would be an excellent influence on Peter, and agreed. He wouldn’t show up too often, usually only once a month; but he always brought extravagant gifts for Peter, took him out on the town for a day, and offered May and Ben anything they wanted or needed. Ben, being far too proud to accept help, never allowed Tony to do anything for the adults, but he always made sure Tony knew the offer was appreciated.
The visits never stopped, of course, and neither did the gifts. So even though his Uncle Ben was technically his favorite uncle for raising him, Uncle Tony was his favorite uncle-uncle.
That was, until Peter turned 15. Uncle Ben had died, and Peter had run away to his Uncle Tony’s house. Instead of immediately returning the boy, he simply called May and let the poor woman know that Peter showed up on his door, and offered to keep the boy for a while so she could grieve in peace, without having to help Peter grieve as well. She took up the offer, and Peter spent the next week getting spoiled, having fun, and being completely distracted from his grief.
He still misses Ben, it’s always there in the back of his head. But his Uncle Tony helped him realize that life can go on, just like how life went on after his parents’ deaths.
From that point on, Peter was allowed to come visit as often as he wanted to. He went over on random Wednesdays, asking for help with his chem homework. He went over on some weekends, begging for his uncle to take him out and have fun. And that summer, he spent most of his days with his uncle, helping in the lab, working on cars, and doing whatever they wanted when the genius billionaire could escape his work duties.
When Peter turned 16, things changed. Peter went through a big growth spurt, growing into his body. Instead of being an awkward, lanky teen with too-long limbs and baby fat still on his cheeks, he grew into himself. His shoulders got broader, his muscles came in, his jawline became defined. He still feels like he looks a bit awkward, but no one can deny it–Peter Parker grew into a handsome young man.
Tony, of course, noticed. And he had tried to do the right thing at first; less touches to Peter, less guiding him, less being in his personal space. But the kid had gotten so used to the physical affection he so desperately craved after the tragedies in his life, that he chased them. He hugged Tony whenever he could, touched his arms and hands, cuddled up into his side whenever possible. Until finally, the summer before Peter turned 17, Tony snapped.
“You gotta stop doing that, kid,” Tony had said, scooting further down the couch to get away from Peter. They had been watching Star Wars together for the umpteenth time, and Peter was, of course, trying to cuddle into the older man.
Peter had pouted. “Why?” he had asked. “I like to cuddle.”
“Because you’re too old now,” Tony had answered,looking like he was a little nervous.
“What? Why am I too old to cuddle?” Peter had crossed his arms, and his stubbornness had always been one of Tony’s favorite things about the boy. He always told Peter stubbornness is how you get what you want.
“Because…because it’s something couples do, once you get old enough. People might get the wrong idea.” Tony nervously had started to twiddle his thumbs.
“The wrong idea?” Peter had asked, eyebrows raised. “What, that I love my Uncle and want him to touch me?” He had said it as if it was the most innocent thing in the world. And from Peter’s point of view, it was. He had had no idea what his favorite uncle had thought of when he said those words.
Tony, however, choked a bit. “Yes, exactly. But in ways that…that family don’t do. You know what I mean, kid?” He had side-eyed his nephew, hoping he wouldn’t have to be any more explicit than that.
Peter had still been pouting, but now turned his whole body towards the older man with his head cocked to the side. “No, Uncle Tony, I don’t know what you mean.”
“Like…” Tony had sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. “Like sexually. People might think we are doing sexually inappropriate stuff.” Tony had looked away at that, wincing at the awkwardness.
Peter had been so shocked, that he simply stopped breathing. But then he had thought about it, and thought about it and thought about it…he thought about it for so long, in fact, that Tony had started to clear his throat and say something.
But Peter didn’t need him to say anything else. And he didn’t want Tony to change the subject. Because just the mere thought of his Uncle Tony doing sexually inappropriate things to Peter made the young boy’s cock twitch to life. So instead of letting Tony change the subject and try to go back to normal, what Peter did was climb into Tony’s lap and plop his little plump ass right on top of Tony’s dick.
Tony had only choked at first, hands instinctively flying to Peter’s hips. “Kid, you can’t-”
“Do you love me, Uncle Tony?” Peter had asked softly, eyes half-lidded. Being stubborn is only one way to get what you want.
Unbeknownst to Peter, Tony had, at that point, started to suspect his nephew wasn’t quite as innocent as he had always believed. “More than anything,” Tony had answered honestly.
“Well,” Peter had started, a devious smirk on those tempting lips. “I stay here all summer, don’t I? In this big, lonely penthouse that no one else has access to…”
Tony had swallowed thickly. “You do have that internship,” he had agreed.
Peter had leaned in until their lips were merely an inch apart, and Tony couldn’t even look the boy in the eyes anymore. “That’s a lot of alone time to show me how much you love me, isn’t it?”
And the rest had been history. They spent that entire summer together, in one form or another. Going out together, spending time in the lab, working together during intern hours…and unlike the year before, a significant amount of time in bed together.
Their love story is unconventional, surely; but Peter is in love nonetheless.
So, considering that he just found out his favorite uncle is coming over tomorrow does make the boy light up, make him happier than if Uncle Mike was visiting.
All he has is finals week, and then he gets to spend the entire summer with his favorite uncle. He thought Tony would have made him wait; so this is a very happy surprise. “Okay, you got me,” Peter giggles, and a faint pink colors his cheeks. “I didn’t think he was going to make it this month, since I start my internship next week anyway.”
May grins softly; seeing her pride and joy happy after so much despair in his life always makes her softer. “I know.” She eats another bite, sighing happily at the taste. “He’s flying in first thing in the morning, so he’ll probably be here around 10:00. I thought we could go shopping early, buy some steaks, and get them marinating for supper. What do you think?”
Peter beams at her. “Sounds great, May. I can’t wait!”
~
Peter sighs happily as he puts the marinating steaks in the refrigerator, closing the door and turning happily to May. “When is he supposed to get here?”
“Any minute,” May answers. “He’s technically already late, as he told me to expect him around 10:00…” May sighs and pours herself another cup of coffee.
“He’s never late,” Peter says cheekily. “He always shows up exactly when he planned to show up.”
“Wiser words were never spoken,” comes from behind the aunt and nephew.
Peter gasps and turns around, eyes wide with surprise and a grin splitting his face open. “Uncle Tony!” he yells, excitement obvious in his voice.
Tony laughs and opens his arms, a fond smile on his face. “Hey, kid.”
Peter flies into those arms, laughing softly and letting the older man hold him. “I missed you!” Peter complains.
Tony grins over Peter’s shoulder at May. “Heya May, how’s it going?”
May smiles and turns around, starting the walk to the living room. “It’s been good, busy as ever. I actually had something I wanted to show you, hold on. I’ll find it.”
Peter starts to pull away, but Tony grins and leans down, connecting their lips softly. “Hey, Pete,” he whispers.
Peter beams up at him, looking over his shoulder. He sees May still rummaging through her papers, so leans back up on his tiptoes and kisses Tony again. “Hi Tony,” he whispers into Tony’s lips.
Tony chuckles softly, hugging Peter as close to himself as possible for a short moment. Then he releases the boy, and leads him with a hand on his lower back into the living room. “What did you want to show me?”
May sighs in frustration, shuffling a bit before exclaiming in success. “Here! Look, look what our nephew did,” she beams and hands the letter to Tony.
Tony grabs it and gasps in excitement. “MIT?!” he exclaims.
Peter blushes and nods, jumping on the balls of his feet. “I got accepted! Probably thanks to you and your recommendation, but-”
“Hey,” Tony says, frowning. “Don’t discount yourself! Your good grades and extracurriculars did that, kiddo.”
May nods in agreement. “All the recommendations in the world couldn’t help you if you didn’t put in the work, Peter.”
Peter slowly smiles, a soft blush on his cheeks. “Thank you. But this means I can move closer to you, maybe stay with you on the weekends!”
May sighs softly. “I’m so proud of you, baby.” She walks over and kisses the top of his hair.
Peter beams softly. “Okay, okay. Thanks May.”
Tony grins. “Well come on, let’s go celebrate!” he hands the letter back to May, staring at it with pride one more time.
Peter jumps in excitement again. “Let’s go, let’s go!”
May shakes her head fondly and hugs Peter with one arm. “Have fun!”
~
Peter giggles softly, shaking his head at his uncle’s ‘disguise.’ “You can’t seriously think a ball cap and a pair of sunglasses are going to make people not recognize you, do you?”
Tony grins, taking Peter’s hand and starting to walk into the general public. “Of course, it works all the time.”
Peter blushes, putting his own dark sunglasses on and giggling. The excitement of doing something wrong, and being so easily caught, is making his stomach turn flips.
“So,” Tony starts, rubbing his thumb over Peter’s hand. “Where do you wanna go?”
“Can we go to the boardwalk? We can walk around, ride some rides, eat terrible food…”
Tony laughs softly, shaking his head in fondness. “Absolutely, kid.”
Peter spends the entire rest of the day with Tony in pure bliss. They walk around and see the different stores, see some interesting people. They eat way too much junk food, and Peter gets high on sugar. That’s when he pulled Tony behind a building and kissed him like he would die if he didn’t.
Now they’re sitting at the top of the ferris wheel, taking in the view of the city at night. “Did you have fun today, kid?” Tony asks, arm hanging over Peter’s shoulders.
Peter blushes and beams up at him. “I did,” he says softly. “I don’t want to go home…”
Tony laughs softly and leans down to connect their lips, a finger keeping Peter’s chin up. “I love you, baby,” he whispers. “You graduate in a couple of weeks, and then you get to move into my tower and stay as long as you want while you’re at MIT.”
Peter melts into the kiss, eyes half lidded as he listens to his uncle talk. He smiles brightly at the reminder. “We’ll get to see each other more,” he says happily.
Tony nods, rubbing his thumb over Peter’s chin. “And we won’t have to hide as much. Most people in the tower won’t know you’re my nephew. Only Pep and Rhodey.”
Peter squirms a bit, bouncing in his seat. “I can’t wait for that. I want you to be able to show me off and kiss me around other people.”
Tony smiles, just as smitten as the younger man. “You’ll be able to kiss me any time you want.”
Peter smiles again, before leaning up and kissing Tony softly. “That will be a lot of times, Uncle Tony,” he threatens.
Tony hums softly, nosing behind Peter’s ear as the ride starts to go again. “I’m counting on it.”
~
Tony hums softly, putting the gift bags down in the living room. “That smells amazing, May!”
Peter squeezes Tony’s hand one more time before walking into the kitchen. “Do you need help with anything?” he asks, walking over and kissing her cheek.
May shakes her head. “Nope, I’m just plating. Go sit down or serve your uncle some wine.”
Peter smiles and grabs the bottle, pouring a serving into Tony and May’s glasses. He sits next to Tony, grabbing his uncle’s hand under the table.
Tony grins slyly, rubbing his thumb over Peter’s knuckles. He grabs his wine and takes a sip. “Thank you for cooking May, you really didn’t have to do this. Me and Pete could have brought something back.”
“I know,” May says proudly, bringing everyone’s plates over. “But I like to cook.”
Tony licks his lips at the meal, squeezing Peter’s hand before reaching up to grab the silverware. “It smells great,” Tony says. He takes a bite, and moans at the taste. He feels Peter shift beside him, and fights a laugh. “Oh, and it tastes delicious!”
May beams in pride, taking a bite herself. “Thank you!”
Peter nods, cutting up his steak into little pieces. He takes one bite, using his left hand to use the fork so he can rest his other hand on Tony’s thigh. “It’s so good!”
Tony smiles into his wine glass, thigh feeling so warm where Peter’s hand rests.
“Hey, May?” Peter asks after a few minutes of quiet eating. “Would you mind getting me a Dr. Pepper from the fridge? I put one in the back I think.”
May rolls her eyes, but puts her things down to get up. “Lazy,” she accuses without any real heat to her voice.
Peter knows damn well there isn’t any soda in the fridge. But he waits for May to be leaned in the fridge with the door blocking her view of the table. He grins evilly at Tony, and leans up to connect their lips softly.
Tony gasps softly, but allows it. The fear of getting caught always makes Tony’s blood boil, his cock stir. He deepens the kiss just slightly, leaning into it so he can be closer.
“I don’t see one,” May complains.
Peter pulls away slowly, licking his lips and staring at Tony with hungry eyes. “Is it not next to the pickle jar?” he asks, moving his hand up to rest on top of Tony’s crotch.
Tony’s breath hitches, and he blinks slowly. He goes back to drinking his wine, before pouring himself another glass. He’s definitely being rude in the amount of wine consumption he’s doing; he owes May a new bottle.
“No,” May says, giving up and looking over at him. She can kind of tell something is off, but would never guess in a million years what the truth was. “Did you drink it and forget?”
Peter pretends to sigh sadly, squeezing his right hand gently. “I guess I must have, that sucks!”
May shakes her head fondly, sitting back at the table. “You always do that, you always forget you have the last of something.”
Peter pouts as he swallows another bite of steak. “I’m sorry,” he says.
May tsks and rolls her eyes. “It’s fine, I find it funny.”
Tony almost chokes as Peter rubs over Tony’s hardening cock, but hits his chest as a disguise and drinks some more wine. “I’ll have to remember to keep the fridge over stocked this summer, I guess,” he tries to tease.
Peter stabs another bite of steak with his fork aggressively, pretending to pour. “You’re ganging up on me!” He uses the momentary distraction of May’s laughter to squeeze again, rubbing his hand along the shape of Tony’s cock as best as he can in Tony’s trousers.
May laughs again, taking a sip of her own wine. “Only teasing, honey,” she says softly.
Tony pretends to shift in his chair so that he can buck up into Peter’s touch, which only encourages the boy to rub his heel harder into Tony’s crotch. “Only teasing,” Tony accuses Peter.
Peter shoves another bite in his mouth to stop from laughing, but he thankfully lets Tony breathe in peace. He moves his hand back down Tony’s thigh, allowing the older man to relax.
The rest of dinner was, thankfully, uneventful. They even made it through a movie on the couch in the dark with May near them without any issues.
“Alright,” Tony says once the credits start to roll, standing up and stretching. “I better get going, kid.”
“No!” Peter whines, standing up as well.
“You’ll see him next week at your graduation, honey,” May says sleepily.
Peter pouts again, looking between her and his uncle. “At least let me walk you down to your car?”
Tony laughs, pretending to be amused. “Okay, okay. Come on. Good night, May, thank you again.”
“Mm,” May says, eyes closed and head resting on her wrist.
Tony grins and leads Peter out, closing the door softly. He takes Peter’s hand, starting to lead him outside. “I had a great time today, baby,” he whispers.
Peter grins, looking around before pulling Tony into the shadows of a stairwell. He kisses Tony roughly, pulling him down by the neck to keep their bodies as close together as possible.
Tony pulls away after a moment, gasping into the air. “You’re gonna kill me,” Tony groans, reaching around and groping Peter’s ass.
Peter giggles softly, pushing his ass back out into the touches. “I’ll make it up to you, Uncle Tony. As soon as we have a night alone together, I’ll blow your mind.”
Tony feels his cock twitch again, and curses under his breath. “Tease,” Tony sighs. He kisses Peter once more, before sighing and letting the younger man go. “Alright, back to your aunt. Before she worries.”
Peter nods, stealing one more kiss before smiling sadly. “I love you, Tony. See you at graduation.”
Birthday Cookies (Shieldshock)
“I have a mission for you, Nat,” Darcy proposed, waving a tray of freshly baked cookies in front of Agent Romanoff temptingly.
“Hmmm, if it involves some of those delicious looking morsels, I might be able to help you.” Natasha replied, not taking her eyes off of the cookies.
“You’ll get two dozen all for yourself,” Darcy promised.
“I’d be a fool to pass that up,” Natasha admitted. “Your chocolate chip cookies are to die for. But tell me, what is this mission?”
“So, tonight is Fourth of July Eve, also the night before Steve’s birthday. I thought it would be appropriate to leave out milk and cookies for Steve, y’know, being Captain America and all.
“That’s very thoughtful of you, Darcy,” Natasha approved, a pleased smile beginning to form. “But perhaps there are ulterior motives?”
Darcy blushed, but shook her head vigorously.
“Of course not! I would never dream of….He’s way out of my league……not even in the same solar system…..that’s nuts. I bake for everyone, you know.”
Her flustered denials did not fool Natasha in the least, but she hid her delight (and a certain secret about Steve) and patted Darcy kindly on the back.
“What is my role in all this?” she asked.
“I need you to make sure it gets put in an area where Steve will find it, but won’t be pilfered by greedy archers or hungry gods. The areas I have clearance to would be a prime target for thieves. Cough, Cough, Clint, cough, cough.”
Natasha chuckled knowingly. Baked goods turned Clint into the worst kind of kleptomaniac, as she knew all too well.
“I’ll do it.”
“Yay! Thank you!” Darcy beamed, whirled around and grabbed a box off of the counter, which she handed to Nat.
“Your payment. Anybody else, I’d demand proof of delivery first, but you’re very trustworthy. Steve’s cookies are on this red, white and blue plate and there’s a little glass bottle of milk in the fridge that goes with them. You know his schedule pretty well, so once he’s on his way back to the tower, it’s go time for Operation Cookies! Look! They have red, white and blue m and ms!!”
Steve returned to his apartment after a full day of boring meetings and training sessions. The only thing so far that had broken up the monotony had been speaking to an enthusiastic second grade class. Their childhood innocence and zeal had warmed his jaded heart and he felt another twinge of longing for a family of his own, which he quickly quashed.
Meandering into his kitchen, he stopped and stared at the tray on the counter that held some very mouth-watering looking cookies. Grinning, he picked up the note that sat with them, recognizing Darcy’s goofy handwriting.
In honor of your birthday and America’s, have some cookies and milk!! They’re your favorite Chocolate chip with M and Ms. Happy Birthday, Steve, and God bless the USA. (Though I think he already did;-).
Darcy.
Steve chuckled at her note, heart touched by her thoughtfulness. It didn’t take long for him to have devoured five of the enormous cookies, dotted with chocolate chips and patriotic candy. They were as delicious as they looked and he wondered again how someone like Darcy, who was so pretty and funny and talented, was still single.
He stopped chewing as a realization slammed into him with startling clarity.
Oh. I’m an idiot. An absolute idiot.
Slumping back into his easy chair, Steve pondered his interactions with Darcy and wondered why he’d been so blind to his own heart.
Darcy was enjoying her off day by chilling in Tony’s big private pool. She’d donned her special stars and stripes swimsuit for the occasion and lazily dog paddled around, chatting with Wanda about the best ways for the PTSD sufferers to avoid the fireworks and sharing stories about previous fourth of july celebrations.
Hearing the pitter patter of feet on the deck, she languidly turned her head and her eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets. Captain America was approaching her, dressed to swim and looking intently at her.
“Well if it isn’t the birthday boy!” She chirped. “Looking good for a hundred something, Steve.”
In response, Steve casually pulled off his t shirt and sat down at the edge of the pool, dangling his long legs in the water.
Darcy let out what might have been an inhuman noise before she recovered herself enough to say, “those are America’s abs!”
And what abs they were in all their six pack glory. It was all she could do not to drool. She heard a snort from Steve and a giggle from Wanda.
“The cookies were amazing, Darcy,” Steve told her, sounding completely unoffended by her bold statement. “Best I’ve ever had. If you ever get tired of science, well, a Darcy owned bakery would be very well frequented by all the Avengers, especially me.”
“Aww, thank you!” Darcy managed, turning a bit pink again. (Was he eying her up?) “I enlisted the help of Natasha to get them to your place. Once I bribed her with her own cookies, she was very willing to help.”
“If you were trying to get on my nice list, well, you were already on there, just so you know.” Steve told her, sounding more than a touch flirty.
“Oooh! Does this mean I’m on the Extra Nice list?” she playfully asked, very much liking where this was going.
“The very top,” he confirmed. “Figured I’d thank you in person.”
Steve straight up winked at her and his smirk left her in no doubt as to what his intentions were. Darcy almost couldn’t believe it, but it was Steve and the man didn’t lie.
“Get in here, then,” she invited. “The water’s fine and so are you.”
Steve laughed again and slid into the pool, quickly reaching Darcy where she was floating with a pool noodle.
“Nice suit,” he observed, looking her over once again. “Have I ever told you how stunning I think you are?” Darcy straight up blushed.
“Noooooo,” she managed. “I didn’t think you noticed me like that.”
“That’s where you’re wrong, Darcy,” he breathed as he went in for the kiss.
“Looks like the fireworks are starting early today,” observed a grinning Bucky from the giant pizza slice shaped float he was lounging on.
Wanda glanced at Steve and Darcy, who were quite enthusiastically making out and chuckled.
“Indeed,” she agreed. “Natasha will be very pleased.”
“I already sent her a pic,” Bucky confirmed gleefully. “She is very satisfied. Those two were so clueless for so long. Guess it’s gonna be a very Happy Birthday for America AND Steve.”
The Little Vampire:
Dead of the Night
content warning: vulgar language, suggestive themes, death, blood, mentions of self–harm, and violence (will notify any changes if necessary)
summary: What if the construction of Lord McAshton's new golf course wasn't the only reason Bob and Dottie moved with their nine year old son Tony all the way from San Diego? What if there was also a death in the family that brought the Thompson's to Scotland? The death of a 'grandma Maggie' Tony never knew about, who left to them her estate and all that she owned. What if Tony had an older sister too? Riley wasn't happy with the move either. It was something the siblings could both agree on. With her sixteenth birthday coming up in two weeks and Tony having to leave behind all of his friends neither one of the Thompson kid's were as open–minded about the change as their parents.
author's notes: So this fanfic is basically a "what if?" scenario for one of my favorite childhood movies, The Little Vampire. I really don't know where I'm starting at, or what direction I'm gonna go with the storyline, but it does follow the movie somewhat and hopefully it's not completely horrible lol 😅
Song for the chapter: Lost by Ollie
– . ° . ° . –
Chapter One
We're a Long Way from San Diego, Bud
– . ° . ° . –
She didn't know what she expected, honestly.
A brick two–story Victorian with paint peeling walls and a wrap–around porch, or even a ground level house made of sturdy oak with several acres of grassy landscape in the backyard.
But not this.
Not this massive, sprawling, vine–covered stone castle looming in front of the slow rolling jeep her dad rented from the car lot by one of Scotland's "finest airports"— at least that's what their company slogan had read.
For a split second, Riley thought she'd fallen into a gothic fairy tale. She half expected the shadows on the walls to follow her at night when she got up to get a glass of water or to accidentally stumble across a hidden passageway that led into a secret room concealing a coffin.
The only thing missing was a pack of wolves sitting outside the ominous–looking wrought iron gate.
Sitting beside her Tony exclaimed, "Woah! It's a real castle, mom!" His eyes, which had previously been glued to the screen of his Ninetendo, were as big as teacup saucers. "Are we rich now?"
The round, wire–framed prescription glasses made his pupils and bright–blue eyes look glossy from the glare of the sun reflecting off the windows.
Dottie, mom, laughed softly. Happy that one of her children were finally showing some excitement over their cross–country move.
"No, honey, we're not rich. But your grandma Maggie did leave us with her property and a couple acres of land."
Bob glanced in the rear–view mirror at his two kids, trying to get a read on his oldest child's mood. As usual, these days, Riley's face was a mask of stoicism— blank and expressionless.
Not. Happy.
He sighed when her head turned back to staring out the window, and Tony's awe seeing their new home didn't last long either.
"Maybe we could get a horse?"
Dottie elbowed Bob with a sharpened stare, "Maybe we'll talk about getting a horse or any kind of pet later on?"
"How about a black cat?"
She sighed lowly, rolling her strikingly blue eyes, though the small smile on her wide–set mouth showed her love hidden beneath the exasperated expression on her face.
"Later, Bob."
✘ _ ✘
Tony darted upstairs passing Riley, both nearly knocking her over and the cardboard box out of her hands she stubbornly refused help carrying— screaming his little lungs out.
Her temper flared as fragile glass rattled inside the box, and she hollered as she caught her balance. There were precious valuables packed neatly inside and twice–wrapped with old newspaper for their protection.
She would absolutely flip out if anything was damaged before it could be safely placed in her new room. A hurricane sweeping throughout the long hallways and grand, high–beamed ceilings.
"Hey, watch it, twerp! What the hell has gotten into you?!" Riley huffed in irritation and began stomping her high–top converse sneakers towards the dark, spiral staircase again.
Her mother, having stepped out of the kitchen at the last moment, stopped abruptly after passinf through the swinging mahogany door.
She sucked in a breath of air, and then her eyes turned to slits, focused intently on Riley.
"Riley Jade! I can't wait to start unpacking all this stuff and finding my swear jar. That's already four dollars you've gotten up to since we boarded that first flight in San Diego."
In response, her daughter rolled her eyes, "Hell is not a curse word. It's in the Bible, remember?"
Then, almost like Dracula with her footsteps silent and deliberate, Riley disappeared at the top of the second–floor landing— swiftly avoiding any further attempts at conversation.
Dottie's shoulders rose as she heaved in a deep sigh, then slowly letting out air like a deflated balloon as Bob walked inside the foyer, shaking his head.
"Oh, great.."
He had an irritated look on his face, much like the one her only daughter wore moments ago on her own face, "Tell me about it. Maybe we should have thought things through a little more before we moved our kid's all the way across the world?"
Dottie opened her mouth, looked at him closer, closed her mouth sharply, and then her pencil–thin eyebrows drew together in deep thought.
"What happened while you were out there with Tony? I just heard him yelling all the way to his new room, and I highly doubt it's because he's excited to unpack all of his things. Is that why you're in such a mood now?"
"Some weirdo in a beat–up, old firetruck showed up and started talking nonsense about vampires. How we should keep our children inside after sunset. I guess he spooked Tony, and you know how little kids are."
She frowned and crossed her arms over her chest, feeling as if they were being watched now. "Well, I won't be looking over my shoulder for any vampires, but I definitely will be on the lookout for weirdos in old firetrucks that talk about crazy stuff."
"You're absolutely right. I don't want anything ruining this move for our children. I mean, they already hate our guts for it."
Dottie huffed, "Tell me about it. Our daughter has turned into quite the ice queen and I'm starting to think I literally feel the cold coming off of her."
Just then, as if there were an unseen presence in the house eavesdropping on the adult conversation, a sudden breeze wafted in from seemingly nowhere. Both Dottie and Bob shared an ominous look as they shivered at the sudden chill.
The sound of a heavy door slamming as hard as it could rang.
Riley.
✘ _ ✘
She grunted as the lock on her door clicked shut and stood there for a moment, leaning against the heavy cherry–wood.
"Ugh, why does this place have to be so gorgeous? Makes it a lot harder to hate moving all the way to freaking nowhere."
Riley slapped her palms against the door in one angry move before she spun on her heel to face the entirety of her 'new room'— glaring at the huge suite and too wrapped up in her emotions to notice the faint sound of a knock somewhere in the castle–home.
She'd thought briefly of Tony as she looked at the scatter of boxes, bags, and the things she once had in her old room.
He was curled up inside of his fireplace shaking like a leaf in the wind when she passed by his bedroom, which was both just as full of cherished possessions and still empty at the same time as hers was.
His little, spiky blonde head had poked out for a second to catch a glimpse of her walking by— had called out to her even.
But Riley ignored him.
Just like she had been ignoring everybody lately. She retreated into her own little world and shut herself off from everyone. From showing emotion. It was safer that way, for her own good and other people's too.
As she turned to face her room there was a
Hi Darling! I just had this thought that it would be really funny if Nat a TONY had a child...ik it sounds crazy but bro go big or go home
What if Natasha and Tony had a child.
Word count: 1097
Summary: Natasha and Tony as your parents.
Pairing: Tony Stark x Natasha Romanoff, Tony Stark x child!reader, Natasha Romanoff x child!reader.
Warnings: none
Note: Hey anon, I hope you like this, please let me know if there's any mistake.
Also, this is a world where Nat can have her own kids.
- You would have been an accident, that's for sure.
- A loved one, ok?
- Tony and Nat would be very good at dividing their responsibilities together, it wouldn't be too difficult since the three of you would live in the avengers tower.
- You would have the best connections on the planet.
- Need some advice? Go to Steve, a kid is bothering you at school? Go to Clint, need help with your homework? Bruce will help in a heartbeat.
- But, really, you'd be the most loved.
- It wouldn't have been easy at first, for anyone it isn't, but the moment they both had you in their arms, any worries would disappear.
- They would NEVER but NEVER fight in your presence.
- Maybe not even if you weren't there, they are polar opposites but both are mature.
- Natasha would be the bad cop and Tony would be the good cop.
Nat: Today is fun day with mom!
Y/N:
Nat: Aren't you going to act happy?
Tony: Last time you tried to get carried away they ended up throwing up in the car...
- You'd wear only stupidly expensive clothes, courtesy of Daddy Tony.
- But Natasha would make sure to keep you grounded.
- Needless to say, Clint would be the best uncle in the world, he knows Natasha so well he would know how to get her on your side at every problem, or almost.
Y/N: I think mom was right.
Clint: I'm surprised she haven't marched in here to say 'I told you so.'
Tony: She wouldn't do that.
Natasha: You're right, Tony. For once in your life, you're 100% right. I would never say that.
Natasha: *turns around, the shirt she's wearing says 'Natasha Told You So' on the back*.
- THE PARTIES.
- Even though Tony and Nat aren't a couple, they would go to Avengers parties together to keep you feeling warm all night.
- Natasha would be the cutest holding your hand in hers at all times.
- As you get older, they become more protective.
- Neither likes it to be a public focus and would do anything for you to have a normal life.
- Tony loves picnics together, he just won't admit it.
- Natasha also won't admit that turning to him for advice has served her well.
- Can you imagine the bear hugs they would give you together on your birthday?
- Doing homework with you in a common area like the kitchen is one of Tony's favorite activities, more so when Nat is there to make breakfast.
- Speaking of food, forget about Tony cooking dinner.
Y/N: DAD HELP! I TOLD MOM I'D COOK DINNER TONIGHT BUT I CAN'T COOK!
Tony, pouring milk directly into the cereal bag: And you thought I could help?
- Both of them would be patient with you accepting that they are not a couple, very understanding.
- Thanks to that it wasn't hard for you to accept Pepper, after all she was always there too.
- Your are also close with Clint's family.
Y/N: Mom, I wanna go to the center with Lila, can I?
Tony: Who's even she?
Nat: There's no way u don't know who she is.
Tony: I was obviously just kidding...
Tony, whispering: Who is she?
Y/N also whispering: Uncle's Clint daughter.
Nat: Unbelievable.
- Yeah, he didn't know about Clint's family.
- Natasha was disappointed about that.
- Then we have Christmas, where even if Tony wanted to spend all his money on gifts for you, Nat won't let him.
- She'd rather go out for a relaxing dinner, have each other's presence as a gift, she's lost too many to not value that.
- You'd eat tacos, or have a simple soup, play in the snow and cuddle to keep warm.
- Nat would make sure that both you and Tony would appreciate each other.
- Since Peter is so close to Tony, he would also be close to you.
- Peter isn't good keeping secrets from you.
- The older you got and the closer you got to adolescence, Nat's need to take pictures of everything would become more urgent.
- Natasha loves to talk about your day, she loves that you have the confidence with her to do that.
- Later, you would move in with Nat in a separate house.
- Tony would really miss you, like, a lot.
- It wouldn't be too far from the city, but it would be a little out of the way.
- Nat made the new place feel like home pretty quickly.
- In her words "It wasn't hard, you're my home"
- You and Nat love to tend your garden together.
- It's a secret, but making fruit salad for you is something that makes her very happy.
- Whenever you had a disagreement, you'd talk it out maturely, courtesy of Nat teaching you that.
- You'd spend most weekends with Tony, even more days if you were both free.
- Then he'd have Morgan.
- Far from being sad or disappointed, you were thrilled.
- Tony was so excited to tell you that he almost threw a bucket of water on you to wake you up.
- You were a great support to both him and Pepper during the pregnancy.
- Nat was also excited that you were going to experience having a little sister.
- She would spend more time with Pepper talking about her experience as your mother.
- She would also teach you how to change diapers for when the time came.
- When Morgan came into the world you took it upon yourself to take care of her so Pepper could get some well-deserved breaks.
- But even while taking care of your little sister, you never neglected your studies.
- Both Nat and Tony were proud of that.
- From now on, Christmas, birthdays, family celebrations in general, would be the five of you.
- The older you got, the more Nat felt it was right to teach you some fighting techniques, so you could defend yourself.
- Tony didn't want her to be too hard on you, you weren't an avenger after all.
- That's why he took you with him to hang out whenever he could, to take your mind off of everything.
*You and Tony are sitting in jail together*
Y/N: So who should we call?
Tony: I’d call your mom, but I feel safer in jail.
- Someday you will tell that story to Pepper and Morgan, probably not soon.
- But that's what your family is all about, a chaotic mess that you love and that loves you.
- You will always be grateful that Nat and Tony will handle co-parenting the way they did.
- And they will always be grateful to each other for the support they gave each other.
Something was up with Peter. It didn’t take a super genius to tell you that. Honestly, something seems off with the whole group of Avengers.
This internship doesn’t have a direction, nor a clear purpose. Not that you’re complaining, but you are rather confused. Some days, you help Steve and Bucky with adjusting to modern customs and such, others you help Natasha Romanoff herself return to her old dance hobby.
It’s given you an escape from your extracurriculars and school work, something to do when you weren’t sending pictures of random files to your absentee parents.
Speaking of them, they stopped in a week after your internship started, though they were gone two days later. They only spoke a total of 538 words to you. And yes. You counted.
And just like that they were gone again, off to meetings and whatnot. It was tiring, and you were just about ready to chew them out like Peter has been suggesting recently.
But you can’t bring yourself to. So instead, you throw yourself into school. It’s not even mid September, but you’ve been keeping your GPA a lovely 4.0 with minimal effort.
So in your spare time, you investigate everything you can about this “internship”. The first suspicious thing is that the September Grant, the supposed name of the internship, is actually a grant Tony Stark made to MIT a while back.
Not long after, you realize that Peter himself doesn’t really know what the internship is for. Every time, his answer seems to change. At first, it was a science and technology research opportunity, then, it was a business experience, then it was a look into the daily lives of Avengers.
Then came the topic of Spider-Man. You were yet to see the masked vigilante, and the whole team seems to clam up anytime you mention said hero.
Especially Peter. He physically jumped the last time you brought up the absence of the Spider-man, clearing a foot into the air.
And that’s when your suspicions began. Peter’s nimbleness, the internship being off, the secrecy.
It’s 10:42 PM one night after another day at Avengers Tower when you figure it out. You have several post-it notes plastered on the wall that your bed is pushed up against, connected by thread. You truly are crazy.
But you’re also right.
Peter Parker is Spider-Man.
That’s the only logical explanation in your mind.
But you need to put it to the test. Spider-Man is probably patrolling right now. So you call Peter on FaceTime, waiting patiently as you open your window and sit on the ledge.
He doesn’t answer, but you smile nonetheless. A text pops up.
And in the heat of the moment, you take a second to think about your next course of action.
On one hand, you could be honest, come clean and provide a good support system for Peter. There’s no way that balancing school and vigilante-ing is easy.
On the other hand, he wasn’t honest with you. You’re not upset, but you do want to have some fun. A bit of playful revenge, perhaps.
So you decide to tease him.
And with that, you turn off your phone and go to bed.
Meanwhile, Peter is in crisis. “Stay safe”? The winky face? He’s so distracted by your texts that he swings directly into a pigeon, apologizing to the bird as he refocuses on his route.
There’s no way you know he likes you. He’s been so careful. You can’t know.
Right?
———————————————————————
The internship is so much more fun now that you know Peter’s Spider-Man. The whole damn thing being a cover-up? Hilarious, even if you can’t figure out why he would lie about that. Maybe there’s another secret you don’t know?
You’ve also begun to pose questions to the team that toe the line of exposing the whole story, watching the Earth’s mightiest superheroes squirm as they make excuses for their youngest member.
It’s a lot of fun. Especially at school.
Like now, as you lean by his locker. Your outfit of choice was some ripped jeans and a cropped sweater, making the best of the slowly cooling weather. A dainty gold chain sits across your neck, flashing in the ugly fluorescent lights of Midtown Tech’s hallway.
Peter manages to keep his eyes at a respectful height, other than when he dropped his book and picked it up, catching the tiniest glimpse of a diamond piercing in your belly button.
“So I was thinking you could swing by and we could study for that physics test. Ms. Warren’s been kicking my ass lately with all of these quizzes,” you suggest, empohasizing “swing”. Peter seems to miss your insinuation, instead shoving you lightly.
“You’ve been acing those quizzes, you liar,” he laughs. “I’ll be over around 7:30.” You nod, waving goodbye as you head to class. You barely take a few steps down the hallway when your friend Evie pops out from a nearby locker, practically dragging you to the ground as she jumps up and grabs your shoulders.
“I saw you with Peter. Have you asked him out yet?,” she singsongs, linking an arm with yours as you head to AP History together. Even if she seems like a ditz, she’s one of the most kid-smart people you’ve ever met. She definitely has a future in pediatrics or teaching.
But not in being discreet. You shush her. “How about you don’t let the whole school know? And besides, I don’t think he likes me like that, ya know?”
Evie shakes her head as you take your seats in Mr. Dells classroom, leaning your head against the window as you wait for the bell to ring. But it’s taking longer than usual, leaving your friend plenty of time to harass you.
“You should see the way he looks at you, hon. That boy is whipped.” She sighs, tugging out her textbook. “If I didn’t swing the other way I’d make a move.” You swat at her, chuckling as she dodges your hands.
With that, the bell blares out and Mr. Dell enters the room precisely on time, as usual. He’s carrying one one of those little ready-made bowls that you add an egg to, and the signature stench fills the air as everyone tries to hide their gags. Everyone liked the mild-mannered teacher, but his little snacks are enough to repulse even the strongest of stomachs. Including yours, as it turns out.
You make it through the class without puking, stumbling into the hallway in a rush. You run to lunch, desperately wanting to find food. You pass through the line quickly, grabbing a tray as you search for your friends. They flag you down, and you set your tray down before remembering the stack of papers in your hand.
“Shit. I’ve gotta go give this to MJ, she needed the articles for her History research paper.” You hurry over to her table, waving at Peter and Ned.
“Ready for the first day of Decathlon?” you ask. She nods, taking the papers gratefully.
“You’re a lifesaver, (Y/N).” She not-so-discreetly eyes Peter, wiggling her eyebrows as he glares at her.
You roll your eyes with a smile. “Please. I’m just helping a friend.” You wryly turn to Peter. “And friends can tell friends anything, you know that, right? You don’t have to keep secrets.” You tap his shoulder and walk back to your table.
You don’t want him to feel like he has to hide that he’s Spider-Man. The pressure couldn’t be good for him. Hopefully, he caught your insinuation.
Little do you know, while he definitely caught it, he missed the point.
“Holy shit she definitely knows I like her,” he rambles, sweating bullets as MJ and Ned interrogate him.
“Dude, there’s no way. You said you were super careful about it, right?” Ned asks, pretending to check his phone as he stares at your table.
“It doesn’t matter,” MJ says. “She likes you back.”
“She just friendzoned me!” Peter protests loudly, causing a few people to give him sympathetic looks. His friend rolls her eyes.
“You are so dense, you know that?”
———————————————————————
“Welcome to a new year of Academic Decathlon, kids,” Mr. Harrington announces, a smile on his face. “We have two coaches this year: Ms. Jones and Ms. (L/N).”
You and MJ wave before fist bumping each other. Your high level of emotions combined with MJ’s level head and mildly apathetic nature would be a great way to provide different perspectives to the team.
Introductions pass, and then some basic questions to get a feel for how experienced everyone is. There are a few new freshmen, but they manage to keep up as you and MJ fire off question after question.
“The Napster copyright dilemma differs from that of earlier technologies because…?” you ask.
Peter taps the bell. “The Internet is more difficult to regulate.”
“Correct.”
MJ steps up next. “The printing process in which ink is forced into recessed lines is called…?”
When no one provides the answer, you respond. “It’s called intaglio.”
She looks up, mildly impressed. “Correct. Thank you, (Y/N).”
The rest of practice goes by in a flash, with you both drilling the facts into the team’s heads.
At 5:00, you leave the school, relishing in your day off. With no internship, you’re ready to relax. You take a detour, passing by a street performer shredding their violin. You recognize the piece. Arensky: Violin Concerto in A Minor, Op 54. You played it at a concert two years back. You tip the performer and move on.
Slowly, you amble along Queens’s busy sidewalks, passing all sorts of characters. As a few dogs pass you by, you consider getting a pet. Your parents would be pissed, but they wouldn’t even know for a while.
As you calculate how much it would cost to buy all of the supplies for a cat, you’re suddenly stopped by a bout of yelling. A few feet ahead of you, a man is stealing a bike, snapping the chain and preparing to ride off. Straight at you.
A flash of red and blue darts in front of you. Spider-Man stops the thief, webbing him up effortlessly. In turn, you catch the bike before it hits the concrete, propping it up on its kickstand.
“Is this anyone's bike?” you ask, hoisting it up best you can. No response. Truly, New York is the city of hospitality.
“Does anyone have a pen?” the masked hero asks, turning around and awkwardly miming out the motions of writing. You nod, handing off a fancy ballpoint. As he writes on a notecard, you lean forward, supporting yourself on the bike.
“Soooo… Where’d you learn about the Napster copyright dilemma?” you inquire casually.
“Oh, on a documentary about-“ He catches himself. “Um, the what?” Caught in 4k, you think to yourself.
“Oh, my bad. You just remind me of a friend of mine.”
Peter finished writing, placing the note on top of the bike and passing the pen back to you. “Really? What’s he like?”
You smile, choosing each word precisely. “He’s really sweet, a great friend, super smart, too,” you say, walking backwards to continue talking to the hero. “He’s shy, gets flustered easily. He lives nearby, actually.”
Peter steps right into your trap. “What- what’s his name?” he asks, failing to appear casual and cool. You smirk.
“Flash Thompson.”
As Spider-Man chokes on air, you laugh, deciding to take some heat off of your disguised friend.
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding,” you promise, laughing. “His name’s Peter. But from the way you reacted, I’m guessing you know Flash?”
Behind the mask, Peter hesitates. No harm in telling you, right? “Yeah, I’ve met him before. Not my favorite guy.”
“Fair enough.” You stop, looking up. Your apartment building looms, and you frown, wishing your chat with Peter had been longer. “See you around, Spider-Man.”
“See you.”
———————————————————————
“Dude, I think she knows.” Peter frantically FaceTimes Ned and MJ as soon as you’re gone, swinging to a nearby rooftop. “She kept talking about how sweet her friend Peter was, even if he’s, quote, ‘shy, gets flustered easily’.”
“Do you think she knows that you’re Spider-Man?” MJ asks, furrowing her brows.
“No, she seemed clueless. She definitely knows something, but I don’t think it’s that.”
Ned shakes his head. “Dude. Decathlon’s coming up. How are you gonna hide it from her if something comes up like last year?”
“Well, then it’s a good thing that nothing like last year’s gonna happen,” Peter says, shuddering as he remembers Adrian Toomes. “That was too much of a mess to deal with.”
“Just- just ask her some disguised questions when you go over to study for the Physics test,” MJ suggests, mildly annoyed at the boy’s rambling. “Like, ‘Oh, is there anyone you have an eye on for Homecoming,’ or-“
“Oh my god, Homecoming.” Peter instantly groans, collapsing on the roof. “It’s already almost here, which means that the Winter Formal is almost here.”
“What’s wrong with that?” Ned asks.
“I promised the team that I would ask her out by then.”
“You did what?” Both of his friends cry in unison. Peter sighs, standing up and getting ready to return to patrolling.
“I know, I know. But I really like her. And maybe-“ He stands on the edge of the roof, one gloved finger hovering over the end call button. “-that little push is what I need.”
——————————————————————
“Are you thinking about who you want to go to Homecoming with?”
You furrow your brows. That question came from nowhere. Setting down your study guide, you shake your head.
“Honestly, I’ve been so busy with the internship, Decathlon, and school stuff that I forgot how close it is.” You eye the many pictures of your past Homecomings, moments of you and your friends frozen in time. “I’ll probably go with friends again, unless someone asks me.”
Peter really wants to ask you. But he’s not ready, at least not yet.
But maybe he can do something else. “Well, I’m thinking about making some extra plans the night of Homecoming,” he begins. “After the party, I was thinking about going to Coney Island for the Fall Carnival, but I couldn’t find anyone to go with. Wanna come?”
You smile, wordlessly tugging him into a tight hug. He’s lucky you can’t see his flustered and blissed-out face as you squeal excitedly, bouncing on the balls of your feet.
“That sounds great, Peter.”
For you, it’s a night with your friend, plus an opportunity to offer support to his superhero career. Even if he’s not ready to tell you that he’s Spider-Man, you’ll be there for him.
For Peter, it’s a night with his friend, plus an opportunity to tell you how he really feels. He hates keeping secrets, especially when it seems you already know. He wants to come clean to you.
Well, maybe you aren’t really on the same page. But it’ll make for one hell of a night.
Secrets
Warnings: none!
Summary: You and Peter find out each other’s secrets by accident.
A/n: I’ll be setting up a blurb night soon! So stay tuned 😎
You got off the train and made your way to school. Another boring day at mid-town high. Being the sister of Tony Stark had its perks, but it also had its downsides. No one knew that you were Tony’s sister, but you had to admit that being the secret sister was nice because you didn't have people up in your face all the time, except Peter Parker. Peter Parker was the only one who knew your secret. You and Peter had been friends for years and up until a couple weeks ago he had no idea about your secret. You stupidly were doing work for Tony in your notebook while having lunch at school one day, when Peter happened to sit next to you.
*flashback*
"Ugh this formula isn't working." You thought to yourself. Maybe it was just this noisy cafeteria that was making it difficult to think.
"Hey whatcha doing?" Peter said sliding beside you on the bench. Peters eyes widened "Stark industries?" He said a bit too loudly.
"Peter shush!" You snapped and scurried to get your notes into your book bag.
"What are you doing with formulas from Stark industries?" Peter whispered.
"That's not what it is." You rolled your eyes, "silly Peter." You booped his nose with your index finger.
Peter blushed, "uhm yes y/n it is, uh," he stuttered then shook his head to break his gaze with you, "Yes it is, I have an internship, I've seen them."
"I can't say." You groaned, annoyed he didn't take the nose boop as bait to change the subject.
"Come on, it's not like I'd tell anyone." He whined.
"Okay fine, but you have to swear that you won't tell anyone." You said sticking your pinky out for the two of you to pinky swear.
"I swear." Peter said locking his pinky with yours.
You leaned in and whispered "Tony Stark is my older brother and I kinda own part of Stark industries."
"No way!" Peter looked at me in shock.
"Yes way, but it's not a big deal." You laughed and showed him a picture of you and Tony with your parents before they died.
"Wow, he's pretty cool, isn't he?" Peter said in awe.
"Maybe to you because of your internship, but as a brother he's kinda lame." You smirked and nudged Peter with your elbow, to let him know you were only joking.
*end flashback*
You smiled to yourself at how understanding Peter had been about keeping your identity from him. You stood at your locker and sorted the books you needed for class into your bag.
"Y/n!" You heard Peter shout from the other end of the hall.
You waved to him and he jogged down the hallway to you.
"How's it hanging Parker?" You asked as he leaned against the locker next to yours.
"You ready for that Chem test tomorrow?" He asked.
You rolled your eyes, you and Peter had known each other for years and he still forgets that you’re pretty much a genius.
"Sorry forgot we have a prodigy here." Peter put his hands up in defense. "Actually May has been asking about you, she wants you to come over for dinner tonight." He said, crossing his arms.
"Peter you didn't tell her did you?" You said in a hushed voice.
"What? No! She asked what you've been up to, because you know she hasn't seen you around in awhile. So I lied..." Peter trailed off and looked at you with hopeful eyes. "I said you had an internship at Stark industries too."
You laughed slightly, "I'll send Tony a text and let him know I won't be home for dinner.
"Sweet, you're not mad?" He asked.
"No peter I'm not mad. You're actually a genius for telling her that." You smiled at him for being so sweet and for protecting your secret. Even though you knew he was dying to tell Ned and pretty much anyone who would listen.
"Oh and Ned might be by later too. He's got this lego Death Star he wants to build." Peter said staring to get all giddy.
"Wait, didn't you two build that a couple months ago?" You raised an eyebrow curiously at him.
Peters face went red, "oh yea i meant he needed help with his homework." He said quickly and started off down the hall, "gotta go gonna be late for class."
You sighed and headed to class. You didn't think anything of Peters weird behavior, due to the fact that Peter was sometimes scatter brained.
Peter got to math class and sat next to Ned.
"You can't come over tonight." Peter whispered to him.
"Why not , the Death Star isn't going to build itself Peter."
"Y/n is coming over for supper and she thinks we already put it together. She'll get suspicious." Peter whisper yelled.
"Fine, but it wouldn't have to be rebuilt if someone didn't make me drop it." Ned rolled his eyes at him "And you haven't told her about you know what yet?"
"No I can't Ned." He mumbled.
Later after school peter went and did his usual spider man stuff. He was just about done and was heading home and then realized that he had forgot about you. He raced home and climbed into his room through the window. His bedroom door was already shut, so he dropped to the floor and took his mask off.
The door opened, "hey Peter, May said to make myself at home..." you started to say, your eyes focused on your phone.
Peter quickly pressed his suits release button and let it fall to the floor, then kicked it under his bed.
"She said I'd find you in..." You stopped short of yourself when you looked up from your phone, to see Peter standing there in front of you in his boxers. It was just like Ned all over again, Peter had thought to himself.
"Woah Sorry Parker." You put your hands up in defense and smirked, holding back laughter. You stood there staring at him and laughed, "I guess I should have knocked."
Peter blushed, "Aunt May, can you please stop letting people in my room without knocking!" He shouted.
"I'll go check out what May is up too and come back when your dressed." You said.
"No, its fine!" Peter said, grabbing a sweatshirt and pulling on pants.
"Why were you in your underwear anyway?" You asked.
"I was warm." He lied.
You shut the door and glared at Peter. "You better not be lying to me. You realize that I have access to the worlds largest data pool, if I want to know something, I’ll find out."
"Look Y/n, i am not lying." Peter almost couldn't get the words out. You frightened him sometimes, you were very confident and fierce, never caring what others thought of you.That and you were smarter than him and you were pretty much one of the most powerful people in America with being a stark. Even if Peter was a good liar, you could still tell whether he was lying or not and if looks could kill, you would be shooting daggers from your eyes.
Peter watched you as you tilted your head to look behind him. "So what's that?" You pointed to the underneath of his bed.
"Nothing, just stuff."
"Peter?" You pushed past him and grabbed his Spider-Man suit and pulled it out from under the bed.
"You just happen to have a bright red leotard?" You questioned and then spread it out before he could rip it out of her hands. "Peter!!!!" You gasped and dropped the suit, "That's spider mans suit, I built that!" You shot him a look, "wait are you Spider-Man?" You asked as your eyes grew wide with realization.
"Yes." Peter said annoyed and grabbed the suit, hiding it in his bookbag. Then he realized what you had said, his eyes widened "you built that?!"
You grabbed the bookbag and pulled the suit from it. "Yes I did, Tony asked me to do a suit for some spider guy. I didn't think he was talking about you!" You exclaimed and examined the suit. "What did he tell you about the suit?” You asked.
"Mr. Stark said he made it." Peter said nervously.
"God of course he did.” You rolled your eyes. “Anyway that's besides the point, you're Spider-Man and you've been using my tech to help you fight crime? Did Tony tell you about the formulas too!? Is that why you caught me in the cafeteria." You looked anxious and kept looking at the suit.
"No, the formula I noticed was mine..." Peter looked down at his hands.
"Wait, the spider web goo, you made that?" You looked at him in disbelief.
"Yes I did, I gave the formula to Mr. Stark because he wanted to see if he could improve it. Then he told me to leave it how it was. I was confused when I saw you with it because Mr. Stark was the only person I told. So I figured you had to be working on Stark industries stuff if you had my web formula." Peter explained.
"Peter that's the coolest chemical reaction I've ever seen! I love playing with that stuff!" You said excitedly.
Peter blushed and you pulled him into a hug. “Let’s get out there before May starts getting suspicious.” You said almost as a hum, you were as happy as could be and even happier now that you and Peters secrets were out.
Even with Natasha’s excellent spy skills, it was proving difficult to keep hers and Y/N’s relationship a secret from the rest of their team. It wasn’t like they couldn’t tell them - they wanted to, but they hadn't yet for a couple of reasons. The first one being that they wanted to wait until their relationship was more serious and didn’t want the entire team knowing yet - it felt more special that way. However, their relationship was now more serious, and the second reason that they hadn’t told the Avengers yet was that they didn’t know how to tell them.
Natasha had opted for a more simpler reveal, wanting to just tell them casually, but she had to respect that Y/N had wanted to go all out for this. Especially since June was arriving soon and Y/N wanted to plan something special for Pride.
They were struggling with what that “something special” would be, though.
Y/N thought of throwing a party, then scratched that out and said dinner - but decided that was too simple - and next thought of telling everyone individually and telling them they couldn’t tell each other to see who’d let it slip first. Natasha had voted for that one and even proposed that they place bets on who’d break first. They were pretty much set on this, until something came up.
Everyone was hanging out in the living room: watching T.V, eating snacks, talking, etc. The only person that was missing was Tony, who promptly ran in seconds later with his iPad made by Stark Industries.
“Guys - guys, there’s a Pride event happening tomorrow!” He exclaimed with the biggest grin.
Sam paused from his epic ping pong battle with Bucky. “We know, Stark,” he said, cursing as he lost a round.
Tony scoffed. “Look,” he said, exasperated, and pointed to the tablet’s screen. The rest leaned forward and looked and, with squinted eyes, read an email to Tony and Steve about the Pride event’s organizers wanting the Avengers to come. “They want us to do something.”
Y/N immediately sat straight up with a dramatic gasp, her lips quickly looping into a smile. She locked eyes with Natasha, who raised an eyebrow at her. “Leave it to me. I have the perfect idea. Nat, will you help?” she said.
Natasha concealed her smirk, leaning back against the couch. She caught on, and could practically see the wheels turning in her girlfriend’s head. “Of course,” she replied.
It was set. Y/N and Natasha would take care of what the Avengers would do - but when Natasha asked Y/N about it, she admitted that she didn’t have an idea yet. All she knew was that that was how she wanted to reveal to her teammates that she and Natasha were dating, and the redheaded spy agreed.
When it came time for the parade, Y/N was biting her lip and not really talking much, just trying to take in her surroundings, as she still didn’t have an idea. Once her eyes soaked in the rainbow colored everything — the streets of NYC closed off, flags, signs, dancing, singing — it made everything 10x better. She felt at ease. At home.
The Avengers soon immersed themselves in the crowd. Talking with fans, signing autographs, posing for pictures. The entire team was decked out in rainbow and Pride gear. Face paint, dresses, shirts, all of it. Y/N even had her and Natasha’s flags tucked into her pocket.
The idea that she and Natasha needed to do something floated out of her mind, until she saw a band getting onto a built-in stage, beginning to play a song. Y/N grinned when she recognized it — “Not a Phase”.
As the song began, Y/N locked eyes with Natasha again as she finished signing a fan’s paper. They both grinned. Almost immediately, everyone began falling into a dance like second nature, and only Y/N could see that Natasha was mouthing the lyrics to her.
Y/N finally got an idea and walked over to Natasha, singing quietly, “At first I wasn’t sure of it, then I was just okay with it-” she continued singing as she grabbed Natasha’s hand and slowly led her onto the stage. “-I cannot get enough of it, now I love it.”
As the best dropped and the lead singer began with the “It’s not a phase,” line, Y/N cupped Natasha’s cheek and kissed her. Natasha immediately kissed her back and wrapped her arms around Y/N’s waist, one hand in her hair. She continued the kiss by dipping Y/N.
The crowd erupted in cheers - but even more so when they realized that the people kissing were two Avengers. The rest of the Avengers had turned their attention to the band when the music began, and their eyes were wide and jaw open to see two of their friends kissing.
After Y/N was dipped, she curled one leg around Natasha’s waist and Natasha hoisted her up, carrying her off the stage. On the sidewalk, Natasha put her down, where the Avengers shuffled towards to meet them.
“Was that your plan?” Steve asked with a smile, but still stunned.
Y/N nodded.
Wanda immediately squealed and hugged both of them, and the rest expressed their congratulations and support.
Y/N dug her and Natasha’s flags out of her pocket and showed them off before Natasha kissed her again, making everyone cheer once more.
What a Dumbass [P.P]
Summary: Peter’s mistake leads to you being injured.
Pairing: Peter Parker x Avenger!Reader
Word Count: 2.1K
Warnings: Swearing, like a substantial amount, suggestive content kinda, gun shot wound, and flustered!Peter
a/n: I really liked writing this. I couldn’t stop laughing at some of the dialogue. and the mistake peter made to cause the whole set-up of the story is so funny to me. like i can legit see him making this mistake. also, i’m gonna make a permanent tag list, so please send me an ask or message me if you want to be on it! <3
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Peter Benjamin Parker is a fucking dumbass. All the time mostly. Most of the time his dumbassery leads to a lot of annoyed avengers, a lot of clean up, and a lot of spilled secrets. Hence why like three people who definitely shouldn’t know he is Spider-man do. But every once in while his idiocy can lead to an unexpected happily ever after, at least until he fucks something up again.
This particular fuck up has yet to be determined as a happy accident or your new 13th reason. It all started when that spider bitch decided it’d be a good idea to watch some explicit content on his laptop. Now, this wasn’t particularly an unknown activity for him to partake in, since we all know about his little impromptu purchase in Germany, but unbeknownst to this dork, his aunt was in the next room over working on a tear in his suit. And to make matters worse, he accidentally just so happened to purchase a subscription using said aunt’s credit card that was pre-setup in his laptop.
Now May is a very understanding woman. Very sex-positive, very loving, and inclusive; the whole shebang really. So when she happened to catch this idiot doing what he most certainly shouldn’t have been doing, she wasn’t mad, just thoroughly disturbed. Then she got the notification about the purchase. That was a bit more taboo in her eyes. So Peter was grounded from patrolling for a week and his laptop privileges were revoked for two weeks. That was fucking merciful compared to what this whole fuck up put you through.
At the school that following Monday, Peter spent the whole first, second, fourth, and lunch period trying to convince you to take over patrol for a week. Sure, you could definitely handle it, not to pat yourself on the back or anything, but you were significantly stronger than Peter, so it shouldn’t have been that big of a deal. But you just really didn’t want to. Peter had his ‘Peter Tingle’ to help him find danger, while you’d actually have to look. It just seemed harder for you to do than it would be for him.
“Why are you even grounded?” You sighed after Peter's 3rd time bringing up the possibility of you patrolling for him at lunch.
“He got caught watching and buying p—” Ned started laughing.
“Ned! Shut up!” Peter yelled, slapping his hand over his friend's mouth.
“How has your identity not been leaked yet, Jesus Christ.” You mumbled, giggling. You flipped through your chemistry textbook, writing notes to prepare for Friday’s quiz.
“Yeah, and how come you didn’t know May was home?” Ned pushed Peter’s hand away. “Where was your ‘Peter Tingle’ then?”
“She’s not a threat, dude. But shit, I really wish my tingle detected her.” Peter groaned, a deep blush covering his features. “Please (Y/N). I really, really don’t wanna leave Queens without any protection for a week. I’ll try to convince May to let me go out on the weekend, so really it’s only five days.”
“I guess I could help you out, but you owe me. I should really spend this time studying for my chemistry test. Iron bitch is gonna have my head on a spike if I fail another chem test.” You said, highlighting more notes.
“Okay! Delmar’s for a week, anytime, anywhere.” Peter said putting his hand out for you to shake.
“Make it a month, I know my worth.”
Peter hesitated, but eventually gave in, “Fine, but you better do a good job.”
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
So now you were stuck patrolling from 8:30 to 11:00 every night. It wasn't bad per se, and nothing too eventful happened. You stopped a small convenience store robbery, gave a few kids some tips at the skatepark, ran some errands for an old lady, and saved a cat from a tree. Thursday night was the real kicker though. Your night had barely started and you accidentally got in the middle of a drug deal between some smaller mob and a real messed-up junkie. This should’ve been an easy takedown, only six people in total that needed to be taken out, but like was mentioned before, you don’t have Peter’s goddamn, stupid fucking tingle. So after taking all six of the perps out you started to walk away after alerting the police. Unfortunately, one of those assclowns had come to, and grabbed the gun a few feet away from him and shot it towards you. The bullet went through your thigh and out the other side. Screaming in shock and pain, you used your own throwing knives and knocked the gun out of the mobster’s hand, then you proceeded to knock him out again with a few good punches to his noggin, maybe a few more, just for good measure. But this wound would need to be cleaned and stitched up. And if you went back to the Tower, Steve and Tony would give you an earful about “watching your surroundings” and “being more careful”. So in a moment of pure adrenaline and desperation, you texted Peter.
You: are you home
Spider-Dork: Yeah, why?
You: i’ll be there in 5
Spider-Dork: What? Why? Is everything ok?
Spider-Dork: Hello??? (Y/N)????
(Y/N) declined (3) calls
Spider-Dork: Answer my calls idiot.
Peter’s texting and constant calling was cut short from a crash in his room.
“(Y/N)? Is that you?” Peter called from the couch in the living room.
“Yeah, can I borrow a t-shirt?” You called, fumbling around accidentally knocking over another lamp. “Oops, sorry!”
“Uh, yeah sure. In the closet!” Peter called back pausing his show, prepared to make his way over to you.
“And some sweats?” You called back, blood dripping all over Peter’s hardwood floor.
Peter got up to make his way to his room. “Yeah, second drawer on the left side.” He said as he made his way to his bedroom. Knowing you were in there, most likely changing, he knocked. “You decent?”
“Nope, not really. I need a pair of your boxers too, though.” You called through the door, now seeing that the blood splattered on your underwear as well. “Also, bring the first aid kit when you come in.”
‘What? Why?” Peter said in a more stressed tone, pushing his way into the room, completely ignoring the fact that you were very much not decent. “Holy shit.” He said seeing you out of your suit, in your bra and underwear, blood dripping down your right leg, pooling onto the floor. Your hand, red and bloody, pressed onto what he only assumed was the wound and blood seeping through your fingers.
“Bring a mop too.”
Peter ran out of the room to grab the first aid kit, plus some extra bandages and a cleaning solution. When he came back in he found you in the same state, standing in the middle of the room, eyebrows furrowed in pain, clutching your right thigh.
“What the hell happened?” He gasped, motioning for you to sit on his bed. You hesitated, not wanting to mess up his sheets. He seemed to notice your thought process quickly adding, “I have to wash my sheets anyway.”
“Gross.” You mumbled, scrunching up your face in disgust and finally settling down on his bed.
“Move your hand and tell me what happened,” Peter said kneeling on the floor next to the bed, positioned right at your hips. You removed your hand, bloody instantly seeping onto the bed. Peter winced looking at the hole in your leg, quickly grabbing the peroxide and dumping heaps of it onto your leg, much to your distaste.
“I got shot.” You stated as he cleaned the blood around the hole with alcohol pads.
“Well, no shit. I mean by who and how?”
“Mobster. Sneaky bitch got me while I was walking away.” You winced as Peter inspected the wound further.
“I need to stitch this up. Did it go all the way through?” He said lifting your leg to look underneath for an exit wound.
“Yeah.” Peter found the exit wound and held your leg up with one hand, pouring peroxide on the back of your thigh with the other.
“You have to be more careful, (Y/N)! This looks really nasty.” Peter scolded, setting your leg back down and prepping the needle and sutures. “What if this was in your chest? Or—or if you didn’t get here in time? You could’ve bled out!”
“Well sorry that I don’t have your stupid tingle to help me out when I’m being fucking shot at!” You yelped, gripping the bedsheets.
“You don’t need spidey sense, you need fucking common sense,” Peter mumbled, stitching his first suture.
“What the fuck did you just say?” You looked at him incredulously.
“I— uh, nothing.” Peter huffed, focusing back on stitching you up.
“This is your all your fault, to begin with!” You accused, shifting uncomfortably, due to the needle constantly being stuck into your leg. “You’re the one that begged me to go on patrol for you! You’re the dumb bitch that got caught watc—”
“Ok! Shut up! For God’s sake, you’re never gonna let me live that down.” Peter groaned, finishing up the last stitch. “Flip over.” He commanded, pushing at the side of your waist to help with the movement.
“Well, it was fucking dumb. Don’t you check to make sure nobody’s home? God, we all know you’re a vocal bitch too.” You said, fully situated on your stomach.
“What the fuck is that suppose to mean!?” He gasped, prepping another needle.
“You’re a sensitive boy.” You shrugged, wincing when Peter started his next stitch.
“I-I am not sensitive! I’m emotionally and physically staunch!” He defended, going in for another stitch.
You just raised an eyebrow in amusement. “Sure, whatever you say, babe.” You winked at him, blowing an exaggerated kiss.
“You're a jerk,” Peter mumbled, finishing up his stitching job. “A jerk with a fucked up leg.”
You hummed, quite amused. Peter got up and started to collect his medical supplies. He shuffled out of the room to put everything away. When he returned you were trying to get up and walk, wincing at every slight movement.
“Here, let me just—” Peter lifted you up, bridal style. A small yelp coming from you when a sharp pain shot through your leg. “Sorry.”
“It’s fine. Can you help me get dressed?” You said as he walked you over to his desk and set you down in his desk chair.
“Sure.” Peter blushed, painfully aware of your lack of clothes. He picked out some clothes from his closet and drawers. He helped you into them, wallowing in the uncomfortable silence, taking in each whimper and wince from you whenever he brushed against your thigh.
“Fuck, I’m so sorry.” He sighed after you were all dressed. “This is my fault.”
You looked at his distraught face, feeling bad for initially blaming him for the events of tonight. “No, Pete. It’s fine. I should’ve made sure all of the guys were knocked out.” You put a hand on his shoulder, giving it a comforting squeeze.
“No, I should’ve been more careful when I was watching that stuff. I have my spidey sense, I would’ve been able to avoid getting shot. It’s not your fault that you didn’t get bit by a radioactive spider.”
“Pete, really, I’ll be better by next week anyway. It’s fine.”
Peter shook his head, sighing. “I just feel so bad, I shouldn’t have forced patrolling on you.” You hugged him and rubbed his back soothingly. “It’s my fault you got hurt.”
“Peter stop. It’s just an unfortunate accident.” You mumbled, hugging him closer. “It could’ve happened to anyone.”
“But it didn’t happen to just anyone (Y/N), it happened to you. And I caused it. I-I don't know what I’d do if something ever happened to you. What if it was worse?”
You sighed, pulling away from Peter and cupping his face, seeing the regret and shame pooling in his eyes. Without much thought, you pulled him closer, slowly connecting your lips in a sweet kiss. Truly getting lost in the feeling of his lips against yours, the feeling of perfection.
Peter’s eyes widened in shock for a moment, before he was kissing you back, reveling in the feeling he’s been dreaming about for months. You finally pulled away to catch your breath. Peter flushed at your actions, unable to stop the wide smile crossing his features.
“Sorry,” You mumbled sheepishly, “just needed to shut you up for a second.”
“Maybe I should talk more, just to see what happens,” Peter smirked, pulling you in for another shorter, but just as sweet, kiss.
You hummed against his lips. “I really like you. Even when you're a dumbass.” You sighed against his lips.
“The feeling is mutual.”
“Rude. I’m not a dumbass.” You gasped in faux offense.
“You’re the one with a bullet wound.” he deadpanned
“You’re the one who got caught watchin—”
“(Y/N)!”
Yandere!Natasha with an ADD!Autistic!S/O.
*Not my GIF.
(I don’t know Nat as well as I know Wanda, but I was recently paired up with her for a Yandere matchup thing, so I figured why not?)
Note: Reader is 18+. I do not condone real-life Yandere behavior.
Warnings: Harassment mention, catcalling mention, murder, torture mention.
Nat has her eyes on you from the very beginning.
Tony introduces you as a new member of the Avengers, one of the youngest, and BOOM! Nat’s completely smitten.
You’re just so shy and sweet; it’s clear to Nat that she needs to protect you AT ALL COSTS.
She’s not the very first to introduce herself; she wants to observe how you react to various ways of people talking to you, so she can get the best idea on how to approach you.
Nat intensely, and I mean intensely, researches you. Your Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, tumblr, fanfiction.net, ao3, search history, bookmarks, phone, literally everything. Her spy training pays off here; you don’t suspect a thing.
She finds out about your autism and ADD through it all as well.
She doesn’t dare to bring it up to you, though. Not yet.
After some time, she finally introduces herself.
You’re pretty taken aback.
“I was so convinced that you hated me.”
“Of course not. I just wanted to make sure of the best way to introduce myself.”
Nat asks you about your likes and dislikes, but taking it a bit at a time, knowing that too many questions at a time can be overwhelming for you.
You’re touched and shocked by this. Most people overwhelm you with so many questions at once, but not Nat.
You try to ask her questions, but she doesn’t seem interested in letting you know about herself.
Little sketch, but you’re so smitten that someone wants to listen you talk about things you like.
She leaves you little gifts, generic ones, but cute nonetheless.
She’ll also do nice things; how did your room get so clean and in exactly the way you wanted it? That’s Nat’s surveillance and attention to detail at work.
She’ll likely have the room secretly bugged, cameras and microphones everywhere. But as soon as you undress, they turn off and don’t come back on until you’re dressed again. She may be a spy, but there are some boundaries she will not cross.
But that’s not to say she won’t cross some.
Like others trying to get with you.
It’ll depend on how severe it is.
The guy who winked at you at the coffee shop? Expect him to go missing in the next 24 hours or less.
If he’s compliant, he’ll be set free, but completely traumatized.
If he steps out of line? He might as well have had his will written out.
Depending on how severe the crime was, Nat may give him a quick death or a slow and painful one.
But then there are the worst of the offenders.
You get catcalled and harassed by this one guy.
And that doesn’t slide with Nat.
Doesn’t matter if he’s compliant or not. He’s a goner.
Usually in less than 1 hour. At most he’s got 6 hours left of life.
She’s obviously gonna make sure he dies slowly and painfully, but not without a little torture first.
Depending on if you knew the person or not, and if you had a good relationship with them, she may have some guilt, but will absolutely comfort you when you return to the compound in tears.
She’ll whisper sweet nothings in your ear, some of them in Russian, and even sing some Russian lullabies.
Now the Avengers are a different story.
These people are practically family to her; she can’t murder them.
Plus it certainly would not go unnoticed if she did murder them.
Steve and Bucky may playfully flirt with you, but they know you’re Nat’s, so she lets it slide.
Wanda absolutely adores you, more in a platonic and familial sense, and has basically adopted you as her little sibling.
Nat understands the pain Wanda’s gone through in terms of family, so this is one she lets slide as well. Plus it makes you so happy to have a big sister like Wanda, and Nat loves seeing you happy.
Peter’s psyched to have someone as sweet and playful as you on the team, so he likes to be around you when he can. Nat lets this slide, provided that he gives you space.
Even if he spends too much time around you, Nat wouldn’t have the heart to glare him down; he’s too sweet for that. She’d just have a small talk with him. Yes, an actual talk.
Tony may flirt with you, but Nat’s able to glare him down into getting right back to work.
One night you’re talking about something you’re passionate about, and after you’re done, Nat tells you about how much she admires your passion and asks what your secret is.
You’ve known Nat for a while now, and you trust her a lot, so you tell her that you’re autistic and have ADD.
Nat’s very understanding and asks about what she can do to make things more sensory-friendly and such.
And you can bet she implements those.
The other Avengers become in the know and also help out.
Nat’s ready for whenever you have a meltdown or shutdown, even during battle.
She always makes sure that the kitchen has sensory-friendly foods in stock.
She finds it so freaking adorable when you go on tangents and talk about what you’re passionate about.
She respects when you like being touched and when you don’t. She cherishes the moments when you feel comfortable enough to be cuddled. Nat is a big ole teddy bear when cuddling with you and she just thinks you’re so freaking adorable whether you have your head on her shoulder or just nestling up against her.
Finally comes the day where Nat confesses that she’s in love with you and asks you to be hers.
If you say yes, you will basically be the happiest person ever. Nat will give you so much love and affection, and anything that you want is yours. All you have to do is ask.
If you say no.....that’s basically asking for your freedom to be murdered. Nat will sound disappointed, but say that she understands.
Be prepared to wake up the next day and find yourself tied down in a soundproof bedroom. The only door in there leads into Nat’s bedroom.
Nat will wait as long as it takes for you to love her.
But you will.
You most definitely will.
She’ll make certain of it.
Tony Stark's thoughts described in the MCU books (part 1)
- Pepper
Tony always knew something was going to happen, during 6 years he has been preparing everything to protect everyone. When Thanos arrives he doesn't know what to do and chooses to get on Maw's ship to keep the danger away from Earth and the people he loves, ready to go into space and face his biggest fear. Pepper calls him and begs him not to get on the ship and to go home. We see Tony, who just wanted to stay with her and have a family, already on the ship, distraught and destroyed not knowing what to say.
In the "Infinity War novelization" we learn that at this very moment he's under a lot of stress. He hears in Pepper's voice that she's terrified and thinks about the worry he had felt a few seconds earlier for Peter when he saw him on that same ship. And it breaks his heart that Pepper is feeling the same thing right now.
- Tony and Peter during IW
We already know that Tony loves Peter and is afraid for him. He has always looked after him and done everything to protect him.
In the "Infinity War novelization" we see exactly what Tony is thinking throughout the journey. He's terrified for Peter.
Seeing him on the ship: "If Tony didn't act quickly, Peter Parker would die. And it would be all his fault."
Seeing him aboard the ship after doing everything to save him from it: "Peter was on this spaceship and that was that. So, he now had to save Strange and then get Peter Parker back on Earth safe and sound."
Seeing the Guardians threatening him: "But how ever much bravado Tony seemed to have, the dread of exactly this moment was laced in his words. He was terrified."
- Tony and Jimmy
Tony is so caring and has the biggest heart. He just always wants everyone to be safe and can't stand it when someone dies or gets hurt in front of his eyes. He always thinks he should have saved them, that's why he spends nights blaming himself for everything. That's why he always makes sure that people don't get hurt during or after the Avengers fights. That's why when he fights he never leaves anyone behind and always finds a way to save everyone.
And this from the very beginning. We already know that Tony was shocked to see innocent people killed at the very beginning of Iron Man 1. And in the "Iron Man novelization" we see especially the horror that Tony saw and experienced with the death of the soldiers and especially Jimmy and how it impacted him. He even noted the watch he was wearing. He care about every single person around him.
- Tony in India
In Homecoming we can see that Tony has been to India and that while he was there he was still watching over Peter, ready to intervene and save him if something happens to him.
In the "Homecoming junior novelization" we know exactly why he went there. He needed to get away from it all and refocus after what happened in Civil War. He lost the family and unity that the team had (and blames himself even though he was the one who fought so hard to keep everyone together). One of his best friend in whom he trusted lied to him and they all betrayed him, he has suffered so much and just.. needed a break.
He deserves so much more support, love, sincere people and serenity in his life.
- His biggest fear
At the end of Infinity War Tony's biggest fear, everything he's been trying to prevent for all these years, comes true. Tony who has always just wanted to keep everyone safe is totally destroyed by this moment. In the "Infinity War novelization" we know exactly what he's thinking.
When he sees Peter disappear: "No, Tony thought. Please, no. Not him. Tony rushed to Peter. "You're all right," Tony assured him, just like he'd done before. Look at me, kid. I'm calm. You're going to be okay, he thought. I'm right here. I'm right here. Just look at me. Tony grasped Peter's shoulder, his eyes locked on his as, with a tiny whisper, Peter turned to dust. "I'm sorry." Tony slammed his hand through where Peter once was. His hand now full of nothing but as hes. Tony willed it to be false. Willed the boy back. Willed another chance to save him. To be there for him. To protect him. To love him."
Here Tony is, alone with Nebula, his biggest fear has become reality and there was nothing he could do about it. The boy he sees as a son died in his arms. And he's stuck here not knowing if his loved ones, his friends, if the love of his life, has survived. "Pepper. Had Pepper survived? How much had he truly lost?"
It's horrible. We see him cry at this moment. Because, it's too much. As RDJ himself said, this event traumatized him to the point that he will never be the same anymore.
- I am Iron Man
At the end of Iron Man during the press conference and despite what the shield had asked him, Tony decides to reveal his identity. It's because he's proud to be Iron Man, to do something that helps the world. But that's not all.
We learn in the "Iron Man novelization" that his revelation is also to to people. He saw what happened with the secrets and lies with his company and decided to put an end to it. He doesn't want any more secrets that will lead to deaths. That's why he didn't keep his identity secret
"He thinks about how lying and deceit from others has brought him to this pass. He has sworn to put an end to that sort of thing".
Tony always takes care of everything and eveyone. To think that some people think it's out of arrogance.. He's always so misjudged and deserves so much better.
- The suit
In "Infinity War: the Hero's Journey", Tony spends time in the lab with Happy. And he describes him what it's like to wear the armor. He implies the emotional weight of all the suffering involved in being Iron Man.
"Happy smiled, then struggled to pull off the gauntlets. They didn't budge. Tony laughed and scooted his stool next to Happy. "Thanks," Happy said. "Don't mention it," Tony replied. "They were heavier than I thought they'd be," Happy said. Tony thought for a moment. "Yeah, they are," he said. His tone turned a touch graver than it had been a moment prior. "The whole suit's heavier than I thought it would be.."
In his life he's always only receiving pain, suffering and horrible traumas. Losses, ptsd, nightmares, insomnia, anxiety attacks, blames, betrayals, physical and psycological pain, health problems, he lost Peter, he got stabbed, he got stuck in space without food or water, he sacrificed everything for everyone even if nobody is there for him..
So few people realize how much he suffer..
Buy the Iron Man novelization
Wanda x Reader - The one and only
Gif is not mine, another day falling in love with her.
Summary: You have always loved Wanda in secret. When Vision dies, she loves you back. But you are also the one who can bring him back. Prompt from @stay-casual
Warnings: Fluff, angst, death, insinuation and brief mention of smut (no sex though)
Words: 13.036k // Read on AO3 too
Marks: @mionemymind @abimess
Notes: Hope everyone like this, let me know if you don’t. Sorry for any typos.
//-//
You loved someone who was not meant for you.
It was a bitter truth you had to accept.
Being an enhanced human, a Hydra experiment, and having spent years under physical and psychological torture by Nazi doctors, pain was not exactly something you were unaware of. You got used to it. You were always down to earth anyway, accepting things as they were.
When you joined the Avengers, you just hoped to help those in need, figuring your days of emotional stress were over.
But then you met Wanda Maximoff.
She was something you didn't understand in the first instant. When she tried to get inside your head, fighting as your enemy, you resisted and almost broke her neck. You saw fear in her eyes, and realized in that second that you would never again try anything that would hurt her. When her brother fought you, and you saw her worried expression, you surrendered. Steve and Tony scolded you for letting them get away, but you just tried to understand why your heart was racing when the witch looked at you before she escaped.
You fail to save Pietro however, and had to watch Wanda collapse. Never, even after so many battles, you felt so helpless.
But you did everything in your power to be there for Wanda. S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't want to allow it, but you used all the favors they owed you to get Pietro's body not treated as an experiment, but as a civilian. And then you organized the whole memorial service. You didn't speak to Tony for two weeks, because he simply wasn't interested in the matter and you wanted to punch him in the face every time you remembered.
The ceremony was simple and small, and while Wanda was finishing paying her respects alone, you took the dirty dishes into the kitchen. Natasha was sitting at the counter and nodded slightly when you entered.
"You care about her." She said after a moment. You continued to wash the dishes, without sketching any reaction.
"Yes."
"No denying it?" she teases, but you remain impassive.
"I have no reason to lie to you, Natasha." You say with a smile. "We are friends, I trust you."
"Are you complimenting me to make me feel guilty for teasing you?"
"Maybe." You say laughing lightly, and Nat smiles.
"Something's bothering you." She says after a moment. You sigh, finished washing the glasses to turn around. You cross your arms and lean your back on the sink.
"If I hadn't organized everything, you would all treat Pietro like an experiment." You say seriously and Nat looks away. "I guess I was just disappointed in the way you all acted about it. Pietro was our teammate, and he sacrificed himself for Clint. If I didn't say or do anything, he'd be in a lab right now."
"You're right." Nat says next, holding your gaze. "But I don't know what to say. Everything has settled down now, and honestly most of us wouldn't have the power to get his body back."
You let out an impatient sigh.
"Right, Natasha." You interrupt and she blinks at your serious posture, but you just have an almost disappointed look on your face. "I should have known that you guys pick the fights you're going to fight. I just hoped that all members of the team would have the same importance."
"Y/N..."
But you just give her a sad smile, and turn around, leaving the kitchen. When you walked back to Pietro's grave area, you noticed that Wanda was kneeling on the ground, leaving some flowers. Vision was beside her, and when she stood up, she allowed him to hug her. Swallowing the bitter feeling in your stomach, you forced yourself to think that you were glad that he was there for her.
//-//
It doesn't take long for you to realize that you are in love with Wanda. It's not in your place to confess it, though.
She is your friend, and your teammate. And more importantly, she is in a relationship with Vision. You were never the jealous type, because you were never possessive, and honestly, you just hoped that Wanda would be happy. And if Vision was responsible for that, that was enough for you.
When Steve and Tony start fighting, and the team splits up, there is not the slightest possibility that you will stand up to Wanda. So you throw your weapons on the ground, and Tony looks at you incredulously.
"Have you lost your mind?" He asks.
"I'm not going to fight with my friends." You say simply turning your back on him as you walk to the other side of the parking lot.
"She really changed sides in the middle of the fight?" You hear the boy dressed in red ask impressed. But you don't care.
"If the deal divides us, there's something wrong with it" You tell Steve when he accepts you as an ally. He smiles and then you are helping him, not fighting any of your companions, just deflecting blows and preventing them from hurting you.
Natasha lands a punch to your face, and your natural instinct is to knock her down. Before you can apologize, she assumes a provocative expression.
"Too bad I wasn't Wanda." She sneers and you roll your eyes, assuming a defensive stance as she stands up.
"I don't want to fight you, Tasha" You say as you defend the blows. "Please, this isn't right."
"You don't just want to stand against your girlfriend." She taunts almost hitting a blow to your face, but you hold her leg up in the air.
"Why are you insisting on this?"
She releases herself from your grip, and you return to defending her attempts to punch you.
"I just don't think it's fair."
"What are you talking about?"
"You should tell her. Wanda should know." She explains and then you hold her fist closed, preventing her from hitting you. She tries with her other hand, but you stop her again, restraining her. Your faces are close together.
"No." You say seriously as she tries to break your grip. "She doesn't need to know."
"You deserve to be happy too." She says before breaking free by hooking her legs around your waist. You loosen her wrists to avoid being knocked over as you struggle.
"Tell her" Nat ordered again and you let out a sigh, knocking her to the floor and falling on top.
"She has already found her soulmate" You reply with a sad smile, immobilizing Natasha "Now please stop fighting".
Nat hits you in the ribs, and you let out a grunt of pain. She manages to immobilize you next.
"You are unbelievable." She comments with a slight smile, and then she lets you go. "Always making me make the worst choices, darling."
You laugh in surprise when Nat helps you up. You think Tony is complaining that it is not fair that people switch sides in the middle of the fight, but you are not listening. You watch Vision and Wanda interact from some distance away. And then you are helping Steve to the plane.
//-//
The fight is over and you are laughing, but not with happiness.
The government wants to arrest anyone who didn't escape from the parking lot, and they are coming. So you are holding Tony Stark by the neck.
"No one is going to touch her." You warn him, and there is only fear and surprise in the man's eyes, "How can you treat your friends like that?"
You saved James Rhodes' life during the fight, and so this is what you use against Tony.
He laughs when you put him down.
"What exactly are you asking me for?"
"Time."
"You made that choice when you chose your side."
"That's too easy for you to say, isn't it, Tony?" you retort with irony. "If you take off the armor, you are no longer Iron Man, and the deal doesn't affect you. We don't all have that choice."
Tony looks at you with annoyance. And then he puts his hand to his ear.
"They've gone north." He warns the agents over the communicator. You look at him one last moment before turning, running back outside.
"Vision, let her go." You warn the man and he looks at you in surprise, probably trying to understand why Tony let you go.
"I don't understand."
"They're up north, Vision." Tony says appearing at his side. "We couldn't reach the fugitives in time. Our colleagues have fled north."
Vision gives Tony one last look before letting go of Wanda's arm.
As Wanda walks over to you, you signal to your the rest of the captain's team that you have also been contained. You find the Ant-Man is injured.
"They also stole the transport vehicle in warehouse 23, the keys were in the cabin." Vision says next and you exchange a look with him, thanking him. And then you run.
//-//
Being an out-of-state fugitive is quite stressful, but you get used to it.
There are no fixed locations, or very long term accommodations, but you try to stay positive about the whole thing.
You all can't stay together, so you have a cell phone that connects to Steve's and Sam's. You stayed in the same hotel room as Wanda for three weeks, then Vision contacted her.
They were trying, and then you let her try it alone. Natasha agreed to run away with you, and you made sure to check on Wanda every week, but she was always fine.
T'Challa agrees to let you stay in Wakanda for a while after the government almost captures you.
Your powers are difficult to control after the agents hit you with a strange weapon, and the people of Wakanda seem to be the only ones able to help you.
You don't like to owe favors, but you think they are good people.
Bucky is free when you meet him. You become close again, and it is good to see him rest.
It is Shuri who discovers where your abilities come from, and you finally understand why you have always felt connected to Wanda and Vision. Your energy came from one of the jewels, as did their power. You don't know how Hydra got access to this, and you don't understand why Thor doesn't tell you all the things humans don't understand, but you realize that these mystical stones are too dangerous.
You talk to Shuri, and then to the council and the king of Wakanda. They all agree that no human should have access to such power. You help her build a machine that can separate the stone and Vision's body.
"How do we destroy it?" you ask her as you are putting the finishing touches on the equipment.
"Maybe you can." She says and you deny it with your head.
"No, I don't think I can." You say. "But maybe Wanda can. It's her thing, and it's her stone too."
Shuri nods and you get back to work.
Unfortunately, events move faster than you do.
//-//
There is an army controlled by a purple man.
That is the only information Steve gives you through the communicator. You hugged Wanda tight when she arrived in Wakanda, and she was happy to see you, but she also seemed upset. You knew it was because of Vision.
"Hey buddy, it's going to be okay." You told him with a smile as you helped him climb into the machine you built.
"Thanks, Y/N" Vision said to you.
You didn't stop fighting for the next few hours.
There was a moment, on the battlefield, that you felt something in the pit of your stomach. When you destroyed your opponent, your hands and eyes were glowing even after you stopped throwing your power. Your stone was here.
You knew something was wrong, so you ran to where you were being pulled.
Some opponents tried to hold you back, but you defeated them easily, feeling much stronger than you ever had.
"No!" you exclaimed angrily as you launched your energy at the creature that was supposed to be Thanos, preventing him from reaching Wanda. He used the golden gauntlet to hold his power, but you kept him busy long enough for her to destroy Vision's stone, an energy field pushing you away when she did. You fell to your knees afterwards, exhausted from having held out against your own stone for so long.
Thanos slowly walked over to the redhead, and you struggled to move toward her.
"I understand, child. Better than anyone." He said and you choked, fearing that he was going to hurt her.
"You could never." She replied angrily still on the floor.
"Today I lost more than you could ever imagine".
"Leave her alone" You muttered stumbling toward her. You are feeling a sharp pain all over your body, but managed to stand. Thanos smiled at you wryly.
You raise your fist toward him, but he just raises his golden gauntlet.
"I felt you." He with a wry smile. "In my hand"
"You will feel my fist on your face in a second." You retorted angrily and he laughed. You are almost reaching for him, but you frown when you notice the green glow on his gauntlet. The time stone.
"One second is all I need."
You blink, and you're not there anymore. You are halfway again. And then you understand what he has done. When you run back to where Wanda was, a golden light throws you away. This time, it wasn't Wanda who destroyed the stone.
"No. No" you repeat to yourself as you run back, your body no longer aching like before, and you stumble among the trees.
You were going to attack Thanos as soon as you saw him, but Thor hit him first. Then you were running to Wanda, kneeling beside her.
"He's gone." She cried beside Vision's body. You couldn't feel his stone anymore, and your own face was wet with your tears.
You placed your hand on top of Wanda's next, and looked forward. Thor had struck Thanos in the chest and was saying something to him.
Then you gasped in surprise as the titan raised his fist.
"No!" you exclaimed getting up, but he snapped his fingers. You launched a wave of energy at him, but he used his gauntlet to defend himself. "What have you done?" you shouted rushing to reach the fallen titan.
"The necessary thing." He whispered before using his last breath of energy to teleport away.
You turned to Thor at the same instant, but he is not looking at you, but at Steve.
"Steve?" A male voice calls out, and you watch Bucky walk toward you all. But he turns to dust midway.
"W-what?" you whisper breathlessly, taking a step forward. Steve kneels on the ground in the same place your friend was and looks at Thor in confusion.
You look at Wanda immediately and feel your heart soar when you notice that the same thing is happening to her.
"Wanda?" You cry running to her, but by the time you arrive, she is gone. There is only Vision's body.
You can't feel either of them anymore.
//-//
The world is in complete chaos during the blip. There is no more S.H.I.E.L.D, and many other deals. And then there's a company that wants to take Vision's body away, and you destroy their trucks, and Steve has to calm you down for twenty minutes.
"No one is going to touch him." You say only as you release yourself from Steve's grip, and ignore the startled looks from the agents of S.W.O.R.D. You kick them out of the Avengers compound, and say that Tony Stark may be dead, but they had no jurisdiction there. If they had a problem with that, they could fight you.
It took 23 days for Tony Stark to come home. You hug him first when he gets off the plane. And you are impressed that it barely takes two hours for him to start talking shit.
"I told you guys we needed armor around the world..."
"And here we go again." You mumble impatiently as you take the focus away from the discussion to the tablet in your hand.
You are startled when Tony collapses to the ground, and the team moves to rescue him. You don't worry, because you feel he is fine.
"Tony always has to make a scene." You comment to yourself shaking your head slightly. "Hey, you," You call out to the metal girl you don't know while the other avengers are out of the room, "help me find your dad."
//-//
The team is trying to locate Thanos by analyzing planets that fit Nebula's description. You feel a sharp twinge in the back of your neck and then you are getting up towards the scanning equipment.
"Y/N, what is it?" Steve asks worriedly as he notices her movement.
"I found him." You say a moment later.
The team is impressed, but you swallow dryly.
"I felt my stone." You explain to them. "And then I didn't feel anything else. We need to go to him."
The Avengers exchanged worried looks, fearing what you were implying.
Soon you were all on a spaceship, heading for an unknown planet.
When Thanos confirmed your suspicions, the stones were destroyed, you sobbed.
"Wanda. She..." You said breathlessly turning to leave the cabin. You sat on the ground, trying to normalize your breathing. She's gone. Your friends are gone forever.
//-//
Your way of experiencing grief is unconventional.
You try to balance managing the chaos that the world has become while splitting chores with Natasha, and going to a few community therapy sessions. Steve is acting strange, but you make sure he eats properly.
There are no tears. You feel that if you start crying you won't stop, so you just work. And you help those who need it. And you have movie nights with Natasha, and you try to remember things that are worth living for.
There is a secret project too, something that is not progressing, but that you don't give up on. The machine you created with Shuri in Wakanda was destroyed in battle. With the world in complete chaos, you didn't have enough time to put it back together, especially with the current state of Wakanda. But you kept the projects going. Part of you didn't know if your lack of absolute dedication was because you believed Vision wouldn't want to live without Wanda. You wouldn't and you didn’t.
So there is this side project, to rebuild the machine and try to restore Vision, but it falls by the wayside after a few months. You keep the papers in a safe in your room, and start accepting more missions.
Tony has given up the hero's life, just as you always said he could do. You are not angry with him, though. And you visit him not so regularly, and agree when Pepper says that Morgan is the cutest kid in the world.
Steve becomes a kind of group therapist, and you want to tell him he needs a degree, but Natasha pokes you in the rib, and you just nod as you listen to the story.
Clint is different too. Losing his family has completely messed him up, and he has become a vigilante of sorts. You find Natasha crying often after you discover that he has been murdering people, and you always hug her until she stops.
As time passes, your pain becomes numb, and your nightmares stop happening. You think it is because Natasha lets you sleep in her bed now.
//-//
Five goes by much faster than you realize.
You are somewhere in Georgia, investigating a lead on a possible terrorist group forming, when Nat calls you. Scott Lang was alive.
When you return to New York, you discover that you have to go back in time.
Your friends want to know if you know anything about how Hydra had your stone, but you have no memory of that time. And with no time, they decide to just follow the right date and place that Rocket provides. You accompany Nebula, because it might be helpful to get a feel for where your stone would be.
You hug Natasha before she leaves with Clint to get the soul stone.
"You're getting sentimental" She teases when you let go of her.
"I know" You retort with a smile. "Just be careful, Tasha."
"I'm usually the one who tells you that." She says in the same tone, squeezing your hand lightly before turning away.
When Nebula takes you and James to a place called the Temple of the Power Stone, you can barely breathe.
"I can feel it." You say to the two of you as you walk to the stone.
"How are we going to get it?" James asks as he looks at the repository where the stone is placed.
Nebula is sticking her hand in the protective flame next second and you let out an impressed hiss.
She hands the stone protector to you, and you nod in appreciation.
"Let's synchronize then." You say as you form a small circle.
"Wow, that always feels weird" You joke as you appear in the Avengers compound again, now on your time. But your smile dies when you look around, and can't find Nat. "Clint...where?"
He just denies it with his head, and you feel your heart soar. This can't be true, you think in desperation.
"No. Nat... She can't." You say breathlessly, falling to your knees. Steve is touching your shoulder next. But then you release yourself from his grip, rushing to get out, feeling yourself suffocating.
You end up on the pier of the complex, thick tears streaming down your face.
It doesn't take long for the team to catch up with you.
"What do we do now?" You hear Tony ask. Steve sits down on one of the empty benches.
Bruce, in his Hulk form, is further away and looks just as upset as you.
"Did she have a family?"
You let out a short laugh at Tony's question.
"She had us." You retort trying to control your tears.
"Why are you guys talking like she's not coming back?" Thor asked angrily. "We have the stones, we will bring her back."
"It can't be undone." Clint said next, nipping in the bud the shred of hope that had risen in your chest. You sobbed. "She sacrificed herself for the stone, her soul was the price." He says looking forward. He lets out a breathless sigh. "It should have been me."
"You bet it did." You retort bitterly as you get up and walk away. No one follows you this time.
You go directly back to Nat's room. And you stay there for two days. When you calm down, and decide to take a shower and try to eat something, on the way out of the bathroom, you stop in front of her closet.
She would hate for you to take her clothes without asking, but you are wearing one of her leather jackets anyway. Wanda used to steal them too, and you both used to joke that it was because Nat had a wonderful fashion sense.
Now you had lost your two friends, and you were alone. You tried to control your sobs. Her sacrifice had to be worth it. So you put on her clothes and went out into the living room.
//-//
The team was arguing when you came in. You just blinked in surprise when you noticed the iron gauntlet. Tony really did it.
You tried to argue that you could handle the gauntlet's power too, but Bruce insisted that since he was made of gamma ray in his Hulk form, that was what he was there for.
And then he snapped his fingers.
You looked at Clint in surprise when he took a call from Laura.
"Honey?" He whispered tearfully and you felt your heart soar. And then something exploded and you were creating a force field to save Clint from the rubble.
When you were finished falling among the remains of the completely destroyed Avengers compound, you checked to see if the archer was okay, sighing with relief when he opened his eyes.
"Stand up." You ordered helping him to stand. "We have to find the others."
"The gauntlet." He warns pointing to something among the stones that glowed in the dark a few feet away from you. Before you could walk towards the item, a noise caught your attention.
Clint aimed an arrow from the direction of the sound, and you choked as the space creatures moved in the dark.
"Go." You shouted to him before starting to attack the beings as he ran to reach the gauntlet and leave the place, you following him with some delay.
You almost died a couple of times though. And when you reached Clint again, there were two Nebula's with him, and a green girl.
"What's going on, people?" You asked confused, and then let out a surprised exclamation when you realized that one of the Nebula's had a gunshot mark on her chest.
"I'll explain on the way, we have to get out of here." Clint spoke pulling you through the halls.
"Wait, she killed her past self? Isn't that going to be a problem?" You exclaim as soon as Clint explains it to you and he shrugs his shoulders. "May I ask why you are green?" You say to the strange girl next to you and she looks at you reproachfully.
"Why aren't you?"
"Touché" You retort smiling, "I am Y/N."
"Gamora."
When you reach the battlefield, things are chaotic and you barely have time to notice your surroundings and you are already fighting again.
Your heart races when you realize that everyone is back. But you don't have time to talk to anyone now, as you are busy fighting.
A red glow catches your attention, however. Completely taking your attention is the right thing to say.
"Who's got the gauntlet?" You hear Steve ask over the team's communicator, but you don't wait for the answer; you're headed toward Wanda.
When you find her, she has the titan trapped in her magic. You choke with excitement at seeing her again, feeling your eyes water.
But then a loud explosion catches your attention. Thanos has activated the airstrike, and you are running toward Wanda, reaching her just before one of the missiles reaches you two.
"Whoa, hi!" She greets you in surprise as you roll on the ground together. A mixed force field between your and her magic surrounds you, protecting you two from the attacks. You let out an exclamation of happiness, raising your hand to her face, wanting to confirm that she was really there.
"God, it's really you." You gasp with emotion, letting your tears flow. Wanda probably doesn't understand what is happening, but she hugs you back as you bury your face in her neck.
This can't last long, though. You take one last look at her face before standing up, the force field still surrounding the two of you as you help her to her feet.
However, when you go to ask her how you could take down the ship, someone does it for you.
"Wow, that's cool" You comment with a smile watching Carol destroy the entire ship with one blow.
"I think you're drooling." Wanda scoffs lightly making you laugh awkwardly.
"Shut up."
And then you are fighting again.
You have the impression that you are losing. But then Thanos' army is turning to dust before your eyes and you are exchanging a confused look with Wanda.
"Tony snapped his fingers." Steve says into the comm and you choke in surprise. Then you are running halfway across an open field until you catch up with your friends.
Pepper is kissing her husband's cheek when you arrive.
"S-Steve, what?" - You ask and he just shakes his head, thick tears in his eyes.
You gasp and then there are arms around you. It takes a moment for you to hug Wanda back. And when Steve takes Tony's body, she holds your hand.
//-//
Your hands are shaking as you step out of the shower.
You are staying at Tony's house, as are some of the others, while the compound area is being restored and Pepper organizes the funeral.
The laundry on your bed is Natasha's last set of clothes, and you don't want to cry anymore, but your face is wet anyway.
You finish getting dressed, but remain sitting on the bed in the room you are sharing with Wanda. The redhead enters a moment later, but you don't look at her.
Wanda sighs slightly and sits down beside you.
"Do you also have the feeling that everything is a bad dream?" She starts after a moment, you blink in surprise feeling a bit distracted and forcing yourself to pay attention. "Like the pain is so overwhelming, it's easier to think it's all temporary. Because there' s not the slightest chance you can survive this for much longer."
"Yes. I feel exactly like that." You agree smiling faintly. "But that's grief. No matter how impossible it seems now, it gets better."
"How can you know that?"
"Because I already lost you once."
Wanda blinks in surprise and then looks straight ahead. You don't face her either.
"How was it?" she asks after a moment, almost in a whisper. Clearly not exactly sure whether to ask that or not. You let out a dry laugh, running your hand over your face to wipe away the tears.
"What kind of question is that?" you retort and Wanda lets out a sigh, apologizing, but you shake your head. "You know exactly how I felt Wanda. Because you lost Vision too."
Wanda swallows dryly, looking at you with a frown. You stand up, leaving no room for questions.
You leave the room next, it was better to try to eat something.
//-//
Steve Rogers is going back to the past. And he will stay there.
He confesses this to you on the eve of Tony's funeral, and you push him by the shoulders, before hugging him tightly. Bucky also cries when he tells him.
No one else must know, not yet. You go back into the room you share with Wanda and mask your tears. She probably thinks it's because of Nat, so she doesn't press you to talk.
When the ceremony takes place the next day, you entwine your arm with Steve's. You were about to lose the three leaders of the Avengers all at once, and it looked like your heart couldn't take it.
But Steve smiles, and squeezes your hand lightly, before going to talk to Potts. You walk to the edge of the lake at the cabin, joining Clint and Wanda.
"I wish there was a way to tell her." Says the man after a moment. You clench your jaw, knowing exactly who he is talking about. "Of telling her that we won."
"Natasha was sure we would make it." You say half hoarsely, trying to hold back the cry. "She trusted us. That's why she did what she did."
Clint nods slightly, not holding back the tears that were falling from his eyes.
"She knows." Wanda said next. "They both know."
Clint slung an arm around Wanda's shoulder and one around yours, embracing you both. You allowed yourself to cry some more.
//-//
There are no more Avengers. At least not for now.
The world is in complete chaos with everyone coming back after five years.
You don't want to think about how many responsibilities you will have to take on when you are a hero again, you just want to get some rest.
Your first stop is Vision's grave. The restoration of the complex took a few weeks, but Potts was kind enough to take care of everything.
You took Wanda there as soon as everything was ready.
"I know we haven't talked about this yet, but, I got it back." You tell her as you walk together to the spot Potts showed you on the map. "After Thanos activated the missiles, I worried that something had happened, but the restoration team was able to map everything out again." You counters by leading her around the place.
Wanda just listened to your words, saying nothing. She seemed surprised by everything.
You reached a small hill, where there were two small metal and rock tombstones. On the first gravestone you made a few years ago completely recovered by Potts' team and already with slightly rusty lettering, it read "Pietro Maximoff - Brother, Friend and Hero. You are loved beyond words and lost beyond measure." On the second, a newer metal, and with gold lettering, it read "Vision Maximoff - Friend, Lover and Hero. To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die."
"I used to bring flowers, but..."
You fell silent as Wanda hugged you. You reciprocated the hug for a moment, until Wanda let go, smiling weakly at you before turning around, kneeling on the graves.
As she ran her fingers over the letters, you cleared your throat.
"I know you two weren't married, but since Vis didn't have a last name..."
"It's okay." She interrupted in a whiny voice. "Thank you."
She stood there for many minutes. You don't mind waiting. And when she allowed it, you hugged her again, wiping away her tears.
You returned to the compound just as the sun was setting.
//-//
You were going to help Wanda to have a proper grief.
She had the same quirks as you, unhealthy habits of disconnecting from reality.
You wouldn't want that for her. Vision wouldn't want that.
The day after you took her to Pietro and Vision's grave, you appeared in her room in the morning. A tray of breakfast in your hand.
"I don't want to get up." She grumbled against the pillows when you entered the room without knocking, opening the curtains.
"I know, but it's almost ten thirty and you need to eat something." You said, leaving the tray on the bedroom table.
The first day she resisted. But two weeks later, she was already on her feet when you came into the room. You always ate together, and you made a point of taking her for walks, and spending time doing the things she liked, for example watching old TV series together.
"Potts called me." You said as you two shared coffee. "She wants me to take over the compound."
Wanda let out a surprised exclamation and you laughed lightly.
"Yeah I know, it's a lot." You say. "But Tony left the command to Steve. And Steve left it to me."
"Are you sure you want this?" She asked looking at you. You shrug.
"It's not about wanting it, Wands," you say. "I am who I am after all. These powers are with me for a reason. Maybe I can use them to do something good."
Wanda nods slightly, looking at you in a way that makes you embarrassed.
"And what does the government think of all this?" She asks and you sigh, running your fingers through your hair.
"They want to control everything of course." You tell her. "Potts is trying to keep everything classified as private property, but after Thanos, that's pretty unlikely."
"I guess the treaty of Sokovia was inevitable after all." She then comments, and you grumble in agreement.
"I would like to enjoy the rest of my vacation, though" You say with a smile, making Wanda look at you.
"What do you want to do?"
"I'm torn between a quiet weekend at a spiritual retreat or getting completely drunk in Las Vegas."
Wanda laughs.
"Okay." She says smiling, "Let's do both then."
"Oh, you like both then?"
"Oh, yeah."
Wanda replies wryly, and you notice her cheeks flush slightly, suggesting that she understood your insinuation. You laugh, going back to eating.
//-//
Sam has been calling you for a few hours, and you left an automated message on the answering machine that says "I'm on vacation, if it's life or death, send a letter".
You are driving to Las Vegas now, humming a pop song on the radio with Wanda in the passenger seat.
"Now that you are Tony's heiress you will spend the money on gambling, I suppose" She teases making you laugh.
"I'm not Tony's heiress." You counter laughing.
"Oh, yes, sorry, Miss Avengers leader."
You laugh at the teasing, then turn up the volume. You and Wanda sing at the top of your lungs.
When you park in front of the first big casino you encounter, Wanda has a mischievous grin on her face.
"I bet I win more games than you do." She says stopping in front of you.
"Can we use our magic?" You ask in the same joking tone, and she nods. You let out an excited exclamation. "Game on."
//-//
You two are thrown out of the casino a few hours later.
You both laugh as you run away from the angry security guards and get into the car quickly, many small coins falling out of your pockets. You drive through town, until you find a bar that seems crowded.
"Ready for the second half of your vacation?" Wanda asks with amusement as you get out of the car, making you laugh. Parties aren't really your thing, but you had said you wanted to drink after all.
The girl at the door looks at your clothes with a judgmental eye, but you think Wanda may have used her powers to get you two into the club.
The atmosphere is extremely noisy and with lots of lights, but you are not bothered when you start drinking.
"I think this is the worst way to go through grief" You comment before you and Wanda pour a shot of vodka together.
She laughs lightly afterwards.
"It's fun though."
And then she is pulling you onto the dance floor. You are too drunk to care about the closeness. You laugh as you dance together.
As the nightclub is beginning to empty, you and Wanda stumble out, visually drunk.
"Where's the car, Wands?" You ask between giggles, Wanda shrugs her shoulders, leaning on you to be able to walk.
It takes many minutes for you to find the vehicle. And when you do, Wanda passes out in the back seat. You use the rest of your sobriety to throw a jacket over her body, before sitting down in the front seat and falling asleep.
The next morning you both have a very bad migraine, and decide to have breakfast at a dinner on the way back to the compound.
Sitting on opposite sides of the same table, you drink some orange juice while Wanda steals a piece of your pancakes. You don't mind.
"Where are we going to spend the last stage of your vacation?" She asks curiously, and you rest your face on your hand while propping your elbow on the table.
"I don't know." You say. "I don't think I know anywhere quiet."
Wanda stands thoughtfully for a moment.
"We could rent a cabin."
"I make minimum wage."
Wanda laughs rolling her eyes. But she becomes quiet next, her expression serious.
"I can split the bill with you."
You raise a curious eyebrow.
"May I ask where the money comes from? Please don't say drug dealing."
Wanda laughs, looking away.
"Shut up." She retorts the next moment. "So what, you'll take it?"
You look at her suspiciously. You weren't going to pressure her into telling you what she didn't want, wishing to give her privacy.
"All right, Wands."
Wanda smiles at you, raising her hand. You give a "Hi-Five" and the waitress looks at you curiously.
//-//
Maybe renting a cabin with the woman you've secretly loved for years wasn't your best idea, but you're handling things well.
You were only going to stay three days, and if you could disguise that you completely melted when Wanda touched you or how cute she looked when she woke up, you'd be fine.
The cabin had two rooms, which was the best thing for your sanity.
After you had finished unpacking, you decided to prepare something to eat.
"How do you know how to cook this?" Wanda asks in surprise as she joins you in the kitchen. "By the way, how do you have the ingredients to make it?"
"I bought it on the way, smarty pants" You replied with amusement, moving around the kitchen to prepare the Sokovian Stew. "And I've cooked it for you before, I don't understand the surprise."
Wanda laughed lightly, remembering.
"Sorry, you're right." She says leaning against the countertop as she watches you cook.
"Come here and see if the seasoning is good." You tell her a moment later as you are stirring the pots.
You raise the spoon toward Wanda, expecting her to take it. But she just brings her mouth close to the cutlery, and looks at you as she tastes the food. You swallow dryly, feeling your heart race at the intensity of her gaze. You almost choke when she lets out a groan of satisfaction.
"It's delicious."
"Uh." It is the only sound you are able to produce, as Wanda looks up at you with an innocent smile. You quickly face the pot again, trying not to embarrass yourself so much.
"I'll set the table for us."
//-//
"Are you sure food is not your love language?" Wanda asks suggestively when you hand her a mug of hot chocolate. You are on the veranda, a few hours after dinner. You laugh lightly.
"My what?"
She settles into the seat she is sitting on, turning her face to you as you sit down next to her.
"Your love language." She explains with a smile. "There are several, one of them is cooking for the people you love."
You frown slightly, growing thoughtful.
"That's hardly mine, Wands." - You reply. "I hate cooking."
"What are you talking about, you always cook for me!" She retorts with a mix of confusion and humor in her voice, you shrug.
"It's because it's you." You say looking away.
"What does that mean?" She asks and you sigh lightly, taking a sip of your chocolate. Wanda looks at you incredulously. "You're not going to tell me then. Okay."
"Tell me more about these love languages." You ask next trying to change the focus of the subject from yourself.
Wanda seems excited to talk about it.
"Okay, I think there are five kinds." She starts with a smile, you're just happy to hear her say anything. And she sounds absolutely adorable when she talks about something that gets her excited. "They are words of affirmation, quality time, touch, acts of service, and gifts."
"What happened to cooking?" You tease and she pats your shoulder, laughing.
"I guess it comes into gift giving" She says thoughtfully. "But I read somewhere that it was like a sixth language".
You make an understanding noise with your mouth, but Wanda interprets your lack of reaction as a lack of interest, and apologizes that she is boring you. You frown.
"Hey, what are you talking about? I love this idea!" You assure her, and she smiles shyly after a moment. "I was just wondering which language I fit best in. That is, if I'm the one who decides that?"
"It's not a decision really." She says. "It's more of an analysis in how you behave. Usually the people around you notice."
"Oh, right." You grumble in agreement. "You really would make a terrible analyst then." You tease and Wanda laughs, pushing you lightly and making a face when she almost knocks over your hot chocolate. You laugh. "That story that I cook to show my love, not a thing."
Wanda rolls her eyes amused and then looks at you curiously.
"Oh yeah, and what do you think your language is then?"
You think for a moment.
"I have no idea." You confess and Wanda laughs looking away, "That's harder than it sounds."
"Take a guess."
"Um... I don't think they are words of affirmation." You say and she looks at you expectantly, wanting you to talk more about it. You smile awkwardly. "I never know what to say, so that would be the last language I would think of."
Wanda smiles, biting her lip and shaking her head slightly.
"What else?"
You inhale deeply, thinking.
"Well, I'm not the best gift-giving person." You counters. "Maybe quality time is a good option, but I'm not sure either. I'm pretty anti-social."
"I think quality time might be your thing." She says with a fond smile.
You raise your eyebrow curiously.
"Why do you say that?"
"Look around you." She replies with a smile, and you understand that this is exactly what is happening now. You give a shy little laugh.
"Can I make it official then?" You ask and Wanda laughs.
"I don't know, don't you like the others?"
"I forget which ones they are." You confess and Wanda laughs.
"Touch and Acts of Service." She clarifies and you nod in understanding.
" Okay let me think about it." You begin running your fingers through your hair quickly. "How can anyone know that touch is their thing?"
"I guess if the person likes to be touched." Wanda says and you raise your eyebrow in confusion. "Like, if you like to give hugs or cuddle."
"Do some people not like that?"
Wanda laughs.
"I think we have an answer." She says and you smile, shrugging.
"No, seriously. I don't know." You speak. "I guess I have no problem with touching people I like, but I can't tell if that would be my language."
"Okay." Wanda says and you look at her curiously as she picks up your mug and places it on the table along with hers. She moves a little closer to you, and entwines your hands together. You swallow dryly.
"Do you like that?" She asks gently, and you look into her eyes, glowing green. You nod shyly, and Wanda smiles. She releases your hands to slip her arms over your shoulder, and you melt into her embrace almost instantly. "Is that good?"
"Yes." You whisper with flushed cheeks. Wanda releases you next.
"I think we have a winner." She jokes, and you giggle awkwardly.
"What about you? What's your language?"
"Definitely quality time" She says and you smile.
"I think words of affirmation are your thing too."
Wanda looks at you curiously.
"Why?"
"Because you're nice." You say. "You say nice things all the time I mean. You are an affectionate person."
"Maybe words of affirmation are your thing." She hits back with flushed cheeks, you laugh awkwardly looking away.
"What happens if people have different love languages?" You ask after a moment. "Do they fight?"
Wanda sighs lightly, thoughtfully.
"I don't really know." She replies. "I think they each show their love in a different way, and if they talk, there's no reason to fight."
You nod in agreement and then straighten your posture, extending your hand to Wanda.
"Miss Maximoff, I swear I will try to show my affection to you with words of affirmation and quality time" You tell her in a fake serious tone, and Wanda joins in on the joke, agreeing to shake your hand.
"I swear I will try to show my affection to you with touch and also with quality time." She repeats the pledge, and you both look serious for a second, before laughing.
Neither of you realizes that by proposing to act outside your comfort zone for each other, perhaps acts of service are the best suitable love language for you two.
The second day at the cabin is like heaven on earth.
You wake up early, have coffee with Wanda, and walk a short trail with her until lunchtime. You cook again, and she teases you about it. In the afternoon you play monopoly, and cards. She makes you tea, and then you two sit on the sofa, each with a book, just enjoying each other's company.
It must be about ten o'clock at night when Wanda starts to yawn. You two are already lying on the couch, and you poke her ribs with your foot and she laughs lightly.
"Go to bed." You tell her with a smile, and she looks quickly at you.
"I don't want to sleep." She says and yawns next, making you laugh.
"Of course you don't."
Wanda laughs and then closes the book, placing it on the small table beside the sofa. She buries her body against the cushions afterwards. You laugh as you look at her.
"What are you doing?"
"I don't want to get up." She replies by closing her eyes. You laugh, closing the book and sitting down. You place the book on the coffee table, and when Wanda yawns again you sigh.
"Come on you big baby, I'll take you to bed." - You tell her as you approach. Wanda lets out an exclamation as picks her up and carries her, blushing as she places her hands on your neck. You were laughing and didn't realize it.
When you reach your bedroom door, Wanda uses her powers to open the door, and you look at her quickly to thank her, which is a mistake, because you realize how close you are. It's hard to reach the bed without shaking now.
"Here we go." You mumble clumsily as you lay her down on the bed. Wanda doesn't let go of your neck however, and you swallow dryly. "Wanda?"
"Can I kiss you?" she asks breathlessly, and you feel your stomach drop. Your bodies are very close together, as you bent down to place her on the bed. Your hands are stretched out beside her neck, to keep you from falling on top of her.
"Are you sure?" You reply in the same tone, your voice husky. Wanda nods biting her lips lightly, her face very flushed.
You slowly advance against her and she meets you on the way. You both sigh as your lips touch. It is as overwhelming as you ever imagined it would be.
Wanda nuzzles the back of your neck lightly and you slide your tongue against hers, changing the intensity of the kiss.
She sighs, pulling you down and you shiver as you rest your weight against her.
When you pull away to take a breath, your foreheads stay together.
"Wanda..." You start breathlessly, trying to decide what to say.
"I like you." She confesses in the same tone, her voice husky. You feel your heart race. "Is that okay?"
You let out a short laugh, nodding. You kiss her again, smiling against her lips.
You kiss for several minutes, and when your lips are swollen and you are hot, you part. It's still early for this, you don't want to press Wanda.
"Maybe I should go to my room" You whisper against her lips, finding hard to reason with such closeness. Wanda kisses you again, making you sigh. You are almost giving up on the idea of getting up when she breaks the kiss, biting your lip as she does so.
"Goodnight, darling" She whispers and you melt at the nickname, but smile, starting to get up. Wanda is still lying there, just as affected by the make-out session as you are, and you just smile shyly at her as you say goodnight and go back to your room.
You both have silly smiles on your faces as you fall asleep.
//-//
There is a delicious tension in your relationship with Wanda now.
You got up early on your last day, and went into the kitchen to make breakfast for the two of you. While you were preparing coffee, Wanda woke up.
She stretched, and seemed to hesitate slightly about what to do next, but you were already handing her a cup of coffee and kissing her cheek before walking over to the table.
You sit in silence, glances and smiles stolen between the small talk.
When you have finished eating, you turn on the television, and Wanda sits down next to you.
"Come here" you ask softly, and she smiles as she approaches, cuddling up to you. You watch some silly movie together, and you like to feel Wanda laughing against you.
In the afternoon, Wanda is the one who prepares lunch, and you lean on the counter when you finally decide to look at your cell phone. You sigh as you look at the number of missed calls and notifications. There are at least a dozen messages from Sam saying that something was wrong.
"What is it?" Wanda asks when she notices your expression.
"Dever calling us" You reply with a mixture of weariness and irony, shaking the cell phone. Wanda exchanges an understanding look with you, and you put the cell phone on the counter, sinking your face into your hands. She gives the pot one last check, and you are slightly startled when she moves in front of you, gently pulling your hands away from your face.
"I just wanted to stay here forever" You confess and let out a short laugh "I know it's selfish, but I just... it feels like my whole life I've been fighting." You tell her with a sad smile. "This must be the most at peace and content I've felt in a long time"
Wanda raises her hands to caress your cheeks.
"It's not selfish." She says tenderly. "I know exactly how it feels, darling. Ever since I was a child, Pietro and I went from one fight to another." She tells you and you let your hands rest against her waist. "I can't thank you enough for giving me moments like that."
You smile, shaking your head slightly. Then you sink your face into Wanda's neck and she hugs you back.
Now that your cell phone is no longer on silent, it doesn't take long for another call to come in. You grumble when you let go of Wanda to answer it.
Sam is saying something about a new Captain America and you are frowning, but smile when Wanda presses her fingers against your forehead to get you to stop grimacing.
"Are you listening to me?" Sam asks half impatiently on the other end of the line. You had been silent because Wanda is the most beautiful woman you have ever seen and she is standing right in front of you, smiling.
"Of course, Sammy." You then reply, raising your free hand to Wanda's cheek caressing her skin. "I'll come back to the compound tonight and then we'll talk better."
"Okay, just hurry please." He asks and looks tired. "Things are a mess".
You hang up and move forward, kissing Wanda intensely. She sighs against your lips, and you wish you could call Sam again and tell him you're not going anywhere.
//-//
When you return to the compound again there is a lot of work.
You find out that Sam is going to become the new Captain America and you couldn't be prouder.
You are no stranger to the idea that he should be the new leader of the Avengers, as Steve was. It feels right and you tell him so.
He seems surprised that you refuse the leadership, but you assure him that it was never really your thing, you would be happy in solo missions and other activities.
Besides this, things with Wanda were going in a direction you never imagined.
Part of you kept repeating that she would never look at you if Vision were alive, but you suppress these thoughts as much as you can.
You start going out frequently, casual encounters that leave you two with flushed cheeks and racing hearts. There are some kisses. But in general, Wanda is already so much a part of your life that nothing has really changed. You live together in the complex, and spend almost all your free time together.
There are many missions now, many people needing help.
Four months after you started to go out, Shuri calls you.
She apologizes for not getting in touch sooner, explaining how complicated things have become in Wakanda as well. You assure her that it's okay and that you would like to visit her when you can. She has a mysterious tone when she says that she needs your help with a project, and that she would have more information in a few days. You are curious and thoughtful as you hang up the cell phone and walk back to your room.
Wanda is strangely quiet the next day. You don't understand what is going on, but when you check the calendar, you bite the inside of your cheek. It was the anniversary of Vision's death. For you it had been five years, but for her, only a few months. Sighing sadly, you prepare something hot for her to eat.
When you arrive in her room, she has a sad and thoughtful countenance and is slightly startled when you enter without knocking, but you just smile and put the tray of soup on the table.
"I brought you some food, baby" You say tenderly and Wanda looks at you just for a moment. You notice a piece of paper in her hands and have a curious expression. "What's that?"
Wanda's eyes immediately fill with tears, and you blink in concern. She holds out the paper to you.
It is a house plan. It is stamped "property sold" with the date close to when you traveled to the cottage. You understand where the money came from now. But what catches your eye is the scrawl in red in the center, which reads "To grow old together, V."
Swallowing dryly, you fold the paper again, leaving it on the table before returning to Wanda.
"I'm sorry, I just... I just miss him and it seems like everything changed all at once"
"No, Wanda. It's okay." You assure her as you sit up and wrap her in a hug, which made her cry, but also relax her immediately. "I wish I could take this pain away from you, but I can't. I'm really sorry for the life you two couldn't live together."
Wanda sobs against your T-shirt and while you soothe her to sleep, you decide what you are going to do.
//-//
Shuri called. So you were going to Wakanda, Bucky next to you on the plane.
You teased him one last time about his new name "white wolf" before you got off.
You hugged your friend tight before you two left for the laboratory.
"I managed to recover the wreckage of your machine" She tells you with animation. You push down any insecurity as you smile, and hand her the projects that have been locked away in your room for five years.
You will work together again. It will take some time, due to the amount of tasks, but you will have this as your main project.
After three days, you and Bucky return home.
Before you enter the compound, he calls out to you.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asks with a worried look, you nod.
"They belong together, Buck." You say with a bitter taste in your mouth. Bucky has an almost pitying look on his face and you hate it, so you are changing your stance. "Don't say anything to Wanda, though. I can't give her hopes like that and fail. She can only know if I succeed."
Bucky nods in understanding and you walk back.
//-//
Your heart and your body belong completely to Wanda Maximoff. You eventually realize this when you return to the compound, and even though you are secretly working to resurrect her dead boyfriend, you can't resist her.
Perhaps the best choice would have been to end things between you, but all you can do is completely melt in her presence. You laugh at her jokes, engage in her conversations, and fall apart in her kisses.
The trips to Wakanda become more frequent over the next month, and you begin to miss Wanda terribly when you are away, but you use this frustration to work.
It's May, and you'll need to travel again just three days after you arrive, and by the way things are going well, this should be your last trip to Wakanda.
"Okay, Shuri, thanks for letting me know. I'll get everything ready." You tell her through the hologram in your room and she smiles before hanging up. You are startled when you notice Wanda at the door.
"Are you leaving again?" She asks annoyed and you nod sadly.
You hope that Wanda will not be as upset as she has been the last few times. You obviously don't tell her the reason you go to Wakanda so much, and Bucky covers for you by saying it was confidential. It has been enough to maintain the logic that the less people knew, the less dangerous it was, and Wanda believes it.
"I'll call you while I'm there" You tell her trying to soften her annoyance as she walks into her room closing the door.
"It's not the same." She mumbles moving closer only to pass her arms around your torso. "I miss you."
You feel your heart soar as you hug her back. You know that the sentence refers to the new distance you have put between you, and part of you wants to confess everything. But you hold your words back.
"Everything is going to be okay, Wanda." You tell her disguising any sign of your recent need to cry. "This is going to be the last time."
Wanda then releases you, looking at you tenderly. You smile back, and she moves in to kiss you.
You know those kisses. The ones she only gives when you are alone, or when you have been apart too long. Kisses that are dangerous to cross barriers that you didn't know if she was ready to cross, and that also make your body hot and take your breath away.
Going out for almost seven months, this was the only line you hadn't crossed yet. Honestly, your cuddling sessions were borderline. But there were so many other things about your relationship that sex really wasn't the focal point.
And then you had Wanda kissing you like this and you couldn't resist.
Letting your hands slide down her body, you felt her sigh against your lips as you squeezed her ass, pressing her forward against you.
You began to walk with Wanda around the room, exchanging passionate, hot kisses, until she stumbled on the bed and you fell over her body on the mattress.
When your clothes came off, you reached for one of her hands and entwined it in yours on top of her head, kissing her neck as you trembled at the sound of her moans.
Wanda came on your fingers, moaning your name with her eyes closed and mouth open as you kept your free hand entwined in hers. You looked at her with adoration, thinking she was absolutely perfect.
You came against her thigh, and then she came in your mouth a few moments later. You repeated it one more time until your bodies were too tired to do it again.
You woke up first the next day, and while preparing coffee, you felt your face getting wet. You were going to lose her again. But you quickly wiped the tears away. She was never really yours to lose.
//-//
Bucky didn't come back to Wakanda with you, and you figured he had some other mission. You also insinuated that he was spending a lot of time outside the compound with Sam, and laughed when he got flushed and told you to go fuck yourself.
When you arrived at Shuri's lab, you didn't sleep properly for two weeks.
Non-Reader Pov
Bucky nodded slightly when Wanda entered the kitchen. She had been really upset these days, feeling lonely. But Y/N made the soldier promise to check on her girlfriend often and keep her company, so that's exactly what he's been doing.
After coffee, he suggested that they walk around the compound for a while, and the witch accepted.
"You know, I think Nat would like to see you two together." Commented the soldier with a smile. Wanda grumbled in agreement, slightly distracted, but then she assumed a confused expression.
"What do you mean?" She asked and Bucky blinked curiously. "How did Nat know that Y/N liked me?"
Bucky let out a short laugh also confused by the conversation.
"What do you mean, Wanda? Everyone knew all along."
Wanda stops walking, blinking with confusion.
"Bucky, what? No, Y/N and I only fell in love after Thanos, what do you..."
Bucky laughs in disbelief and confusion.
"Whoa, she really didn't tell you." He says surprised and at Wanda's expression, he straightens his posture, putting his hands in his pockets as he looks at her. "Look, maybe it wasn't the best idea for me to be the one to tell you, but I imagine since you're together now it won't make much difference." He says, sighing slightly. "She's been in love with you ever since you joined the Avengers. You were the reason she fought alongside Steve when he defied the law for me. Everyone always knew."
Wanda shook her head, surprised and incredulous.
"Bucky what are you saying?" Wanda muttered more to herself than to the soldier. Bucky just looked at her curiously.
"All these years, and you never knew." He said surprised.
Wanda felt her eyes fill with tears.
"But... Why didn't she say anything?" She asked holding back the tears. "I... She's been with me all this time, and... how could she not have said anything?"
Bucky shrugged.
"You had Vision, Wanda. She didn't want to make things awkward." He says. "She used to tell Natasha that loving you was enough. She never needed you to love her back."
Wanda gasps in surprise and cries, running her hands through her hair. Thousands of memories flashing through her mind at once. All the times Y/N was by her side, their escapes from the tower, their pranks, their jokes. The way she always stood up for her, helped her on missions, in training. How she blew up the TV set in the briefing room the day the government agent broadcast the report of what happened on Sokovia to the team in an attempt to shock them with Wanda's mistake. Pietro's grave, the way she took care of everything and assured Wanda that she was happy to help. But mostly in the way she always smiled when Wanda told her about Vision, how she supported her when they were on the run, and how she didn't leave her side when she was grieving.
Wanda couldn't imagine how much it must have hurt to watch the person you love, loving someone else.
Wanda let out a dry laugh, finally letting the tears flow.
"All this time, and she loved me in secret." She mumbles breathlessly. "How could she bear it?"
Bucky looked away.
"Well, she's always tougher than most."
Wanda shook her head, laughing sadly.
"Take me to Wakanda."
Reader Pov
You did it.
"Shuri, is this really happening?" You ask with a mixture of surprise and excitement. Your eyes completely glaze over in front of you.
The door to the machine you created then opened, a metallic noise filling the room. It took the machine man a few seconds to open his eyes, and when he did you held your breath.
"You really did it." Shuri said to you impressed and looking forward as well.
"We did." You retorted taking a step towards the being that was looking at you with curiosity. He seemed to be getting used to the idea of being online again. "Vision?"
The question escaped your lips firmly, although your heart was racing.
Vision moved out of the machine, looking around.
"I'm confused." The male voice filled the room. "I think I've been asleep. My last memory is of a field."
You gasp, feeling your eyes fill with water.
"I can't believe you're here, buddy" You tell him, stepping forward to hug him. Vision doesn't respond however, still appearing to be in shock.
When you let go, you are smiling.
"I'll explain everything to you, Vis."
Shuri leads you to a meeting room, and she keeps checking Vision's functionality signals while you talk for a bit. You tell him about the blip, about his death, and a little about Thanos. He is different, maybe it is the stone. He seems more mechanical and logical than ever, talking about statistics and asking about social impacts. You just think he needs to get used to the world again.
"There's someone coming to see you" Shuri announces after a moment while fiddling with her computer.
"T'Challa wants to check if we are eating properly again?" You joke and Shuri laughs, but then she frowns.
"Actually it's..."
The door to the room then opens. You get up from your armchair in surprise to see Wanda standing there. She looks at you with adoration in her eyes, but her expression falls completely when she notices who is beside you.
Her face is a mixture of surprise, disbelief, and confusion. You swallow dryly, ignoring the urge to cry, and force yourself to smile shyly.
Wanda walks towards you slowly.
"I've been working to bring him back, Wanda." You explain in a husky voice. "To bring him back to you."
Wanda's eyes are filled with tears, and she gasps as Vision rises from the armchair, looking at her curiously.
"How...?" Wanda asks breathlessly, but she sobs then moves forward to embrace the robot.
You feel your heart break, because it is over. You smile however, nodding to Shuri lightly as you leave the two of them alone.
When you reach the hallway, your hands and legs are shaking and you lean on the wall to keep from falling to the floor. Bucky is joining the two of you as Shuri looks at you with concern.
"Everything okay?" She asks touching your arm lightly. You nod frantically.
"I did what I had to do." You say breathlessly, holding back tears. "She...She's happy."
Bucky exchanges a look with Shuri and then he is asking if he can hug you. You nod slightly and when he does, you collapse.
//-//
You are avoiding Wanda.
It's childish, but you feel your heart ache every time you think about seeing her, so you're trying to buy time to only talk to her again when you can show that you're happy for her.
It has been two days since she arrived in Wakanda.
You and Bucky are in rooms in the same hallway, and you know that Shuri has set up facilities for Vision and Wanda to be together. You haven't seen her yet, and it's all due to the fact that you accepted whatever task the king had to keep you well away from the castle.
You returned very late to your room on the third day, and Bucky was waiting for you in the hallway.
"You two need to talk." He said, following you into the room as you sighed.
"I know, Buck." You grumble taking off your jacket. "I just need time, I...I think I'll crumble if I see her again"
Bucky runs his hand across his face, slightly impatient.
"No, you don't understand." He says. "You just brought her dead boyfriend back, you can't just ignore her."
You throw yourself on the bed, closing your eyes.
"I'm really considering alcoholism now." You grumble, and Bucky laughs lightly.
"Talk to her." He says before turning to leave.
You take a while to fall asleep after that.
//-//
You see Wanda again. At a safe distance. Your heart feels like it is going to jump out of your chest.
She and Vision go out for a walk just before lunchtime. You look at them from the balcony, their silhouettes in the field of flowers. It's beautiful. You don't realize that you are crying.
Walking to Shuri's labs, you intend to accept some project, but she has a worried look on her face when she looks at you.
" There' s something wrong." She comments by showing you a graph that you don't understand at first. "While you were behaving like a child, we had some problems." The teasing makes you blush slightly, but you are too worried to respond.
"What happened?"
Shuri sighs weakly.
"Wanda and Vision talked for a few hours. And then she realized what we didn't anticipate." She explained as she changed the chart. "Without the mind stone, Vision is just a computer program. There's nothing human in him anymore."
You blinked in confusion, and let out a short laugh.
"What are you talking about?" You ask, but before she answers you are talking again. "Vision was always a computer. His love for Wanda was his humanity."
Shuri shook her head in the negative.
"The mind stone created a connection with Wanda." She explained. "Without it, he is just a set of algorithms. He remembers everything he experienced, but he can no longer feel."
You gasp in surprise and then sit down on the floor, trying to understand exactly what you had done.
"I think our mistake was not accepting death." Shuri said after a while. "We can't reverse something like that. We should know."
"I can't believe I did that." You commented with a dry laugh. "I brought him back only for her to lose him again. My god what the fuck is wrong with me?"
Shuri walked over to you, kneeling in front of you, and placing a hand on your knee.
"You didn't know, okay?" She said trying to reassure you. " Your intentions were the best".
"That doesn't matter now". You grumble bitterly.
Eventually you get up, and decide that you should apologize.
Shuri tells you that she will handle everything with Vision, that she would ask him if he would like to continue to exist, if he had a purpose, or if he would like to be deactivated. You told her to make sure that he knew that he would always have a place on the Avengers team, and she smiled saying that Wakanda would also accept him.
//-//
Your heart was racing when you knocked on Wanda's door.
She used her powers to open it, and you walked in, finding her sitting on the bed, pensive.
"You finally decided to talk to me." She teased looking at the television. You swallowed dryly, twiddling your fingers nervously.
"I talked to Shuri." You begin with emotion showing in your voice. "She told me about...about everything. I'm so sorry Wanda." You cry. "I didn't know this was going to happen, I didn't mean to hurt you..."
Wanda blinks confusedly getting up as she approaches you, raising her hands to your face.
"It's okay." She assures wiping away your tears.
"No, it isn't. I brought him back only for you to lose him again, I can't believe I could do that to you, I'm sorry..."
"Stop. No." Wanda says shaking her head, her eyes filled with tears. She swallows her emotion as she looks at you tenderly. "You gave me a chance to say goodbye to him."
"Wanda..."
"I didn't have that chance before." She continues with a sad smile, "I am grateful for it."
"W-what?" you sigh breathlessly with incredulity.
Wanda smiled, stroking your cheek lightly.
"All this time, and you've been loving me in secret." She spoke tenderly, and you felt your face heat up.
"How...?"
"It doesn't matter." She interrupts shaking her head slightly, the look in her eyes is one of pure adoration. "I still don't understand how you can hide this from me, and..."
You shake your head, letting the tears flow.
"I just wanted you to be happy, Wanda." You interrupt with a smile. "It didn't have to be with me."
Wanda gasps slightly, and moves forward to kiss you on the mouth. The kiss doesn't last long, however, and she breaks away to bring your foreheads together.
"I love you." Wanda whispers against your lips, you sigh in surprise. "Sorry it took so long."
You let out a short laugh, hugging her. When she hooks her arms around your neck, you lift her off the ground, and Wanda lets out a giggle. You spin around, smiling, your chest exploding with happiness.
//-//
On your last day in Wakanda, you visit Vision.
He is in one of the castle rooms, looking contemplative, and pours you a cup of tea.
After you talk about what he wants to become, you hug him goodbye and he looks at you curiously.
"I never directly asked you what your motivation was for doing all this." Vision begins with a curious posture. "Shuri told me about your affection for Wanda, but I never understood precisely."
You look away from the floor, kind of awkwardly.
"I thought you two were soulmates." You say to him, and Vision observes you for a few seconds before speaking.
"How could we be soul mates, if I never had a soul?" He asks and you raise your face in surprise. Vision just smiles slightly as he puts his hand on your shoulder. "I wish you had told her how you felt in the beginning. It would have prevented so much suffering."
"Hey, we would feel your loss even if Wanda liked me..."
"I was talking about you." He interrupts with a smile and you fall silent, not knowing what to say next. "I hope you'll be happy together. You have a high level of compatibility."
You laughed at the mechanical way Vision spoke and gave him one last hug before leaving in farewell.
//-//
You return to Wakanda the following year. Many things are different now, from your address, to Wanda's rings, and your last names.
Already dating
Word count: 1618
Genre: Probably fluff, idk really
Pairing: Natasha x gn!reader
Warnings: None (let me know if I need to add any)
Request: could you maybe write something with Natasha x male reader (if your comfortable, otherwise you can write it with female or gender neutral) where Natasha blushes when the reader compliments her in front of the team and the team immediately goes crazy and does everything in their power to get them together, only to find out they've been dating all along?
Summary: Steve and Tony (mostly Tony) lock you in an elevator to admit your feelings, not knowing you’re already together.
A/n: Thanks @mochamoff for the request, sorry it took so long to do it! I’m writing this authors note over a week before I’m posting the fic which is unusual because usually I post within twenty four hours of finishing. Anyways it feels nice to be on a break and this fic being posted means I’m officially back which I’m excited for. To be honest this fic isn’t the whole team, just Tony and Steve, but I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out so I hope you all enjoy reading!
“Next time you have to listen to me in the field Stark.” Steve says as soon as everyone is settled into their place on the jet.
“Actually I don’t, you have absolutely no power over me and as much as you want to be the leader of this team you are not so stop acting like it.” Tony snaps back.
“Someone has to step up and lead.” Steve tells him. “It’s not like you could do any better, you would probably mess things up.”
“Maybe I would, but I would do a hell of a lot better than you are doing.” Tony says. “You like to pretend you’re all high and good and above us but who made you leader? Nobody. You crave control so you took it.”
“I did what needed to be done.”
You watch them snap back and forth at one another a few more times, rolling your eyes at Natasha. She gives you a small smile to show that she’s amused and turns her attention back to your two teammates whose argument has only gotten more and more heated.
“Y/n what do you think?” Tony asks, catching you off guard.
“About what?”
“About who would be a better leader for the team.” he explains. You think for a moment and they both stand as tall as possible (in Tony’s case it isn’t tall at all) and puff out their chests. You scoff, the male ego is so big, even in men who are good and try to do the right thing.
“Neither.” you decide.
“Neither- but the team needs a leader, you have to pick someone.” Tony splutters.
“Just because I don’t think the best leader is either of you doesn’t mean I don’t think the team needs a leader.” you tell him. How one of the smartest people in the world can’t figure that out for himself is beyond you.
“So who would you choose then?” Steve asks, confused.
“Natasha obviously.” you say, smiling at her. The corners of her mouth tug up slightly and even that small movement makes you feel proud.
“No offense, but Natasha???” Tony asks, seemingly outraged. “Why?”
“Well first of all she doesn’t have a fragile male ego like you dumbasses.” you tell them. “But it’s more than just that. She’s smart, both book smart and street smart. She can hack into computers and memorize information easily and knows how to blend in, or to get people to like her. She is more rational than the both of you combined but is also good at making decisions on the fly. She is an excellent fighter and can keep track of strategies and she has connections in and out of the government, with backup plans for almost every situation. Not to mention she has an amazing heart and don’t argue like some other people on our team tend to do. And of course she’s absolutely gorgeous but that doesn’t have anything to do with it.”
You wink at her at the end of your mini speech and are surprised to find her cheeks noticeably pink. She can’t help the smile that creeps onto her face when she thinks over your words.
“Abort mission, Romanoff is blushing and smiling, I think I might be about to die.” Tony states obnoxiously.
“Shut up, you’re just annoyed that she likes me better than you.” Natasha tells him, taking a breath to (mostly) collect herself.
“You’re scary when you’re happy. I haven’t seen you like that before.” he says. “Are you in love with Y/n or something?”
“Shut up.”
Tony smirks. “Make me.”
Natasha takes one threatening step towards him and that’s all it takes for him to back away, stuttering out apologies and mumbling under his breath about how Natasha is too scary to be a team leader. Natasha’s scare tactics do seem to work though because he doesn’t speak to anybody but himself for the rest of the ride home.
As soon as the jet touches down you and Natasha exit, heading straight to the room where you are supposed to be debriefed. Steve tries to follow but Tony grabs his arm to let him know to hold back a second.
“I know I joke but I honestly think they’re in love with each other.” Tony tells him. “I didn’t see it before today but there’s no way Y/n’s speech was platonic, who memorizes lists of reasons why they like their friends, not to mention their flirty wink at the end. And then Natasha, she’s scary but she was acting weird and happy around Y/n.”
“I hate to say this but I agree with you and they would make a cute couple.” Steve says. “But we should probably catch up now.”
Tony takes Steve’s words as an opportunity to stop being serious and become obnoxious again. “Onward dear captain, lead the way fearsome leader, how ever could I-”
“Tony I’m trying to be polite but you are making it very hard.”
---
“Tony no.”
“Tony yes.”
“That is a horrible idea.”
Tony opens his mouth in outrage. “I think it’s a pretty good idea actually.”
“I won’t work.” Steve counters.
“Well I think it well and need I’m the only genius here.” he says smugly.
“You can’t force love!” Steve tells Tony, running his hand through his hair in frustration.”
“Ah, ah, ah,” Tony says, “I’m not forcing love, they are already in love. All I’m doing is giving them a little push.”
“By locking them in an elevator?” Steve asks in a deadpan voice.
“Exactly.”
“You can’t just go around locking people-” Steve starts to say but he gets cut off by Tony.
“Shhhhhhh, hi Y/n, hi Natasha.”
“Hi guys, what are you up to?” you ask, obvious to what was going on seconds before you entered the room. Natasha eyes them suspiciously because they are acting weird, holding their bodies stiffly, which means they are hiding something.
“We were just about to head down to the training room, want to come?” Tony lies smoothly while Steve shakes his head in the background.
“That sounds good,” you reply, “you want Tasha?”
“Okay.” she agrees, still eyeing both of them, Tony in particular suspiciously.
“Great!” Tony says and starts to walk towards the elevator and the rest of you follow him, Steve trying to convince himself that going along with Tony’s plan is doing no harm.
“Ladies first.” he says, stepping off to the side and giving a big flourish with his arm. It’s weird but then again Tony is always weird so you don’t think too much of it, stepping into the elevator. As soon as Natasha follows you in he orders Jarvis to close and lock the doors and to prevent the elevator from moving and then pulling up a screen so he can watch you.
“You better run when I get out of here!” Natasha yells. “You too Steve!”
“You’re going to thank me later.” Tony says. “Steve, why don’t you explain why we locked them in.”
“Um,” Steve hesitates, not knowing where to start, “well we think that you two need to talk about, um, feelings.”
“Feelings?” you ask, confused, while realization dawns over Natasha’s face.
“Um, yeah feelings.” Steve responds, feeling very awkward and hoping this works so he didn’t do all that for nothing.
“They don’t know we’re dating and they’re trying to get us together.” Natasha leans over and whispers in your ear before straightening back up and talking to Tony again. “I didn’t take you for such a romantic Stark.”
“What? I’m not- romantic me? Pepper says I’m the least romantic guy she’s ever been with.” he splutters, trying to regain his masculinity.
“And that is not a compliment.” you tell him. “But for some reason even though ‘you aren’t romantic’ you wanted to get us together.”
“Maybe I did,” he says. “but you have to admit that my plan is amazing and it's totally working.”
Natasha snorts “What part of this conversation screams working to you?”
“Well you haven’t killed Y/n yet and neither of you have denied your feelings so it’s obviously working. I expect a thank you speech dedicated to me at your wedding.” He says arrogantly.
“There will be no speech.” Natasha tells him.
“But there will be a wedding?” He asks, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively and Steve has to look away because it looks ridiculous.
“Hopefully.” you say, teasing Tony with your vagueness but also making Natasha smile as she thinks about what that might be like.
“Told you my plan would work.” Tony brags to Steve before telling Jarvis to release you from the elevator.
“Your plan sucked.” Natasha tells him. “We were already dating dumbasses.”
She grabs your hand and pulls you out of the room as Steve and Tony stare after you, shocked.
“Did you know about this?” Tony asks, looking at Steve with suspicion.
“Not at all.” Steve answers, his mouth still half open. In hindsight it should have been obvious. Of course Natasha wouldn’t want to be open about her dating life right away, she likes her secrets way too much.
---
“You owe me fifty bucks Y/n.” Natasha tells you once you’re out of earshot.
“Seriously?” you whine.
“You said they already knew but they didn't, so pay up.” She holds her hand outwards expectantly and you both laugh.
“Later.” you tell her. “There are more important things to do now.”
“Hmm, like what?” she teases gently, taking a step closer to you. Your breath catches because you still can’t believe you are dating someone this beautiful. You match her halfway and pull her into a deep kiss, only pulling back when you need to breath.
“This.”
Hikuleo x fem!reader - Secret Relationship?
Authors Note: Reader is Jay White’s younger sister. Also, this is kinda long…sorry.
——————————————————————————
First Person POV:
Watching this match, I was nervous. I knew he’d be able to handle his own but after I saw how he landed when Darby lowered the ropes, I was worried that he had injured his shoulder. I don’t think he is hurt but I was so worried that he was.
———
After the match, security took me backstage to see him. I could tell he wasn’t injured but I was still worried. As soon as he saw me, he pulled me close to him. “Your match was amazing”, I said looking up to him. “White, I’m surprised you’re not with your brother. Shouldn’t you be ringside for him somewhere?”, Matt Jackson said looking at me. “Matt, leave her alone. I asked Jay to send them both here.”, Adam Cole told him.
Truth is, Hikuleo and I are together, but Jay doesn’t know. Adam was also trying to convince Tony to put me in a match with Anna Jay and add me to the Undisputed Elite because I am the only female member of Bullet Club. “Anyways, Y/N, I talked to Tony…and you’ve got the match. Next week, on Dynamite.”, Adam said looking from Matt and Nick to me. “Thanks, Adam!”, I replied.
———
Of course I managed to hurt my wrist during the match. Doc said it may be broken so I need to go to the hospital and get it checked. Hikuleo was with me because Jay decided that a member of Bullet Club needed to be ringside for my match. Jay had Adam convince Tony to let Hikuleo be ringside. I was glad that he got to be ringside though. After the show, we went to the hospital so I could get checked. I hated hospitals so having my boyfriend with me made it easier to handle being there.
———
To say that Jay was unhappy finding out that I got hurt was an understatement. He was glad that I won the match, but he cussed Hikuleo out for “letting me get hurt”. It wasn’t even his fault. I use Jay’s move all the time…I just landed wrong on my wrist while performing the Blade Runner. The good thing was that it was just a bad sprain and a m just in a brace for two weeks, but I still get to wrestle.
I felt bad about what happened with Jay and Hikuleo…I didn’t want the two of them fighting at all. Jay still doesn’t know about Hikuleo and I being together.
———
Today, we thought we’d be able to go out without being noticed by fans…everyone knew that Jay was my older brother. We took pictures with fans, but of course there were some fans that saw us when Hikuleo kissed me and they posted it on social media, not only tagging us but also tagging Jay.
That definitely was not how we wanted him to find out. He had called us shortly after he saw it, “I’m not upset that y’all are together. Just a little disappointed that y’all didn’t tell me.”, was all he said to us about it.
———
Everything was great. An absolutely incredible boyfriend, my wrestling career was going well, and my brother was super supportive about it all. I don’t think life could get any better than it is now.
——————————————————————————
Author’s Note: it’s not the best but i finally was able to finish it. and i’m happy with it.
ABO Stony AUs!
Celestial Navigation by sabrecmc
Summary: 18 year old Omega!Tony finds himself Bonded to Captain Steve Rogers. He isn't happy about it until he is.
Note: Does it need any explanation? This fic is an all time classic and favorite in the Stony fandom!
Object: Matrimony by BladeoftheNebula
Summary: Omega Tony Stark craves adventure and an escape from the life his parents have planned for him in New York. He places a listing in a marriage catalogue to seek a match with an alpha out West, and Sheriff Steve Rogers answers his advertisement. But finding a nice alpha doesn't mean it's all smooth sailing from there..
- A Mail Order Bride AU -
Note: A 10/10! This has all the splendid elements of ABO with an added twist of a West setting and time!
The Team Omega by AngeNoir for PhenomenalAsterisk
Summary: Steve Rogers is thawed, stressed, and not quite sure what Director Fury wants with him. Giving him a unit of all alphas, even if most of them Steve had fought alongside when the alien menace had nearly wiped out the entire city of New York... The thing is, more than four alphas wouldn't work in a unit with one another, not for long. Everyone knew that. Steve knew that, intimately, with the Howling Commandos.
Which was why Director Fury had, apparently, assigned them an omega.
Frustrated at the inability to even choose his team, let alone choose the omega that was supposed to keep the peace between everyone, Steve storms back to his unit's assigned quarters. There, he meets Tony Stark, grandchild of Howard Stark, clearly unhappy with his position and just as clearly unwilling to break contract with the U.S. military complex. So why was someone like Anthony Stark here, in Steve's charge?
And how could Steve even act upon his genuine attraction, with the power imbalance clearly in place?
Note: I admit, this has one of the best takes on ABO I read in a while! It’s a good read!
If You Love Me I'll Love You Too by Carsonian
Summary: Starrk hands Steven a knife, leatherbound and strong, to fulfill the rite. The Alpha must go first. Steven takes Anthony’s hand, slices a clean line across the palm.
“And in the sharing of blood, I am become yours.” Steven recites.
Anthony takes the knife and returns the favour.
“And in the sharing of blood,” He looks up, eyes dark and unfathomable, “I am become yours.”
Note: A well-written ABO Stony fanfic with a dash of arranged marriage and Middle Ages (though the time period wasn’t exactly specified). It takes on how Steve and Tony navigates through their forced marriage and how they learn to care for each other!
Tribute Given, Treasure Gained by sphagnum
Summary: “Steve,” the Captain said, hand over his chest.
Tony licked his lips. Was he supposed to give his name, or remain silent until he was asked a direct question? The Captain--Steve, apparently--already knew his name, he had to, it had been included on the settlement he and Stane had signed. Was this a test? Time was passing and Steve was still waiting with his hand on his chest but Tony had to figure out the right answer fast or when Steve moved he might--“
Tony,” he blurted.
“Tony,” Steve repeated. He hadn’t come any closer. He said something short that might have been pleased to meet you or you look good on your knees. Tony had no way of knowing and he wasn’t going to risk echoing it. He kept quiet. See, Howard? I do know how to shut up when my life depends on it.
Note: A nice ABO with Warlord!Steve! This is a great read, with the steamy smut on the end being a nice cherry on top!
While We Pretend to Sleep by Typo66
Summary: Tony pretends to be an alpha. Then he forgets he had been pretending. One thing he remembers is Steve. Steve tries to help out in his old fashioned, ethically strict way. Tony likes making big gestures. He has never been subtle.
Note: Another Stony classic! This is a great take on ‘Tony denying his nature’! A deifinite 10/10 read!
Rockabye by BladeoftheNebula
Summary: Cute alphas didn’t appear out of nowhere to help ruined omegas. That was a widely accepted fact.Tony Stark had always known his life wouldn’t be easy as a genius omega in an alpha’s world. But not even he predicted getting knocked up and forced to move to a small town in the middle of nowhere.
Note: A fun read where Firefighter!Steve lend a hand to pregnant Tony! It also takes place in a Small Town kind of setting, which is an added bonus!
In the middle of the night by defenceless_stark
Summary: In the past, alphas used to only mate with other alphas and maybe the occasional beta or delta. Omegas were seen as useless and scum to alphas. Omegas would only stay in a pack if they could keep up and they were only protected if they were the head alpha’s offspring. Over time, alphas soon discovered that omegas were useful for producing offspring, due to their high fertility rates and weaker genes, so, in most cases, only the alpha’s genes will pass on. Alphas soon evolved to an omega’s scent, making them possessive and dominant over omegas which led to an increase in abuse and mistreatment. Steven Rogers was expected to be an omega, but much to everyone’s to surprise, he was an alpha.
Anthony Stark was expected to be an alpha, but much to his father’s disappointment, he was an omega.
Like any omega, Tony had his fair share of omega abuse and harassment. But unlike any other omega, he wasn’t one to sit around and take it.
Note: If you are avid ABO fan, this is a Stony fanfic that you wouldn’t want to miss!
In A Rut by rougewinter
“You don’t have to do this, Tony.” Pepper said as she tightened her white knuckled grip on the clipboard in her arms. “I’m sure we can find someone else.”
“Yes. I do.” Tony said, surprised that his voice came out steadier than he expected.
Or the one where Steve goes into an Alpha Rut and Tony is the only one who can help.
Note: A short but sweet-well, not sweet since it has that dose of great smut! make sure to check it’s sequel where Tony is in heat! (Heat Up by rougewinter for avengemehamlet)
Please don’t (give me what I want) by masterlokisev159
Summary: After the events in Siberia, a new law is declared and Steve and Tony's newly reformed relationship is torn to pieces.
Then Tony goes into heat. And Steve is adamant to save it.
A post-civil war story where Tony is put in a position where he cannot consent to anything at all. Steve, the strongest alpha of all time, is furious.
Note: For those Stony shippers that wants a bit of angst!
Perfect Man for the Job by Ilearnedtoreadforthis
Summary: After his ordeal in Afghanistan, omega Tony creates the Stark Housing Initiative: Executive Level Development (or S.H.I.E.L.D., for short) to provide housing to returning veterans. When alpha Steve Rogers applies to manage S.H.I.E.L.D., it turns Tony's life upside down.
Note: This is a cute employee/boss story with a dash of ABO!
World Acclimation by Del_Rion
Summary: When an unexplained phenomenon washes over the entire planet, the Avengers are left to struggle along with the rest of the population. Chains of command, relationships and friendships alike are put to the test as new biological imperatives take hold, and only one thing is certain: the world will never be the same.
Note: This is one of my favorites! It has a unique take on ABO that I don’t see often. And well, Am still hoping for the next installment. Though, read the tags carefully!
You Are Not Broken, Just Bent. by NazakiSama166
Summary: He won't break!
No matter how much he was tortured, no matter how much he was beaten, starved, threatened... He won't, he won't, he won't!
Until he did...
--- When Shield uncovers a hidden sub-basement in the house of Obadiah Stane, they find a tortured omega and his pup. Everything went down the drain when that Omega turned out to be Tony Stark, Howard Stark's son that went missing six years ago.
Note: Anyone in the mood for angst?
WIP:
Finding Pack by Naferty
Summary: In a world where pack means everything from status to fame to survival and to family, newly pack-less Tony Stark is trying to survive after those he once trusted betrayed him, and starting over by searching for a new pack to take him in, but with his age and status weighing heavily on his shoulders finding someone to take a chance on him might be easier said than done.
What pack wanted an old infertile omega in their ranks? Certainly not the famous Avengers pack led by the equally famous Captain.
Note: This is a bit of a slow burn Stony fanfic that ticks all ABO boxes! It’s an all-time-favorite and classic!
Secrets Don't Make Friends by sayah1112
Summary: Tony Stark has a secret. Several, in fact. Outed to the world as an Omega, he finds himself stuck between a rock and a hard place. His only hope at salvation rests upon the strong shoulders of a certain Captain Steven Rogers. The problem? Rogers hates his guts.
Note: Another favorite of mine! This is a great hurt/comfort fanfic centered on stony!
This is just part 1 guys! I’m kind of a big fan of ABO so I have a few more to recommend!
