My interpretation for Hyness after HiAD, as well as his dynamics with Kirby and all the dream friends

In my verse, Hyness became very slothful after he was freed from the Jamba Heart's influence. He doesn't do much with his life afterwards, and is basically the equivalent of an old man in retirement.

The reason why he's become so slothful is because he's incredibly overwhelmed and worn down by the combination of all the stress that he went under during his corrupted phase and all the guilt that he bears over his actions.

Even though he's exceptionally grateful to Kirby and the star allies team for rescuing him and the Mage Sisters at the end of HiAD, he's not exactly a happy person. If anything, he's actually a little miserable by virtue of all the stress and guilt he has over everything that happened. He does not feel good about any of it. He definitely has some relief that the bad stuff is done, but he's really messed up by all the regret he has over it.

He went through a bunch of pain and suffering while he was corrupted, enough to where it's been having some long-term lingering even after he's better. And he feels awful about what he did to the Mage Sisters. He hurt them really bad, didn't he? It haunts him that he sacrificed them to Void Termina. One of them is still unbreakably devoted to him, but the other two have hang-ups. They're all ultimately a reunited family, but their relationship just simply isn't the same as it once was. They have some complications even after they've been saved in HiAD.

All of these complexities have led to Hyness becoming inactive and lethargic. After being purified, he spends about 95% of his time at his home in the Jambandran Base. He's just chilling out at home and taking it easy. He's basically having a permanent mental break. The Mage Sisters love to commonly go out, have fun and cause chaos, and their dad is just relaxing at home while they do that.

And because Hyness spends the vast majority of his time at home, most of the dream friends very seldom see him after HiAD. The only times they see him post-HiAD is when the Mage Sisters take him with them for a Popstar vacation once every blue moon (and I mean literally once every blue moon). That does happen, and it's why I say 95% as opposed to 100% for Hyness staying home, but most of the Mage Sisters' visits to Popstar and other planets are done without bringing him with them.

This is the reason why Hyness is not in the list of characters that are present in my Google Doc for Kirby Character Dynamics. He barely has much of anything to do with a good chunk of them by virtue of rarely seeing them post-HiAD. That being said, however, I will post his dynamics with Kirby and all the dream friends in this post further down below. Again, many of them very seldom see him. There are exceptions, however. You'll see which ones see him more often than others.

Hyness acts very nice and polite to people that visit the Jambandran Base. However, he can get stressed out easily and is still capable of talking at a million miles an hour if he resorts to starting a rant, so probably not a good idea to set him off. One of the dream friends has ended up causing him to do it once, though.

And now, finally, to his dynamics with a lot of the Kirby cast. Let's start with his daughters.

Zan Partizanne: Zan, being the Mage Sister that's the most devoted to Hyness, is also the most forgiving one. She doesn't hold his actions against him at all, really. She's literally just happy to have him back. It warms his heart. He feels like he doesn't deserve his daughters anymore, but it makes him touched to see that Zan is still unwaveringly indebted to him. She acts as his main caretaker, and thus she's the least outgoing of the Mage Sisters, because she stays home more often than the other two do as she takes more care of Hyness than they do.

Flamberge: This is rather complicated. Flamberge has many hang-ups with Hyness. Early on after HiAD, she was actually pretty uncomfortable around him and didn't have a lot of trust in him. She openly expressed this discomfort to him, and there were even a few instances where she angrily yelled at him because of the baggage over the things he did. However, things do get better later on. They eventually make amends. Flamberge does still care about Hyness as she slowly warms up to him again, but what happened has permanently affected her feelings about him. He completely understands and just feels absolutely horrible about it.

Francisca: Like Flamberge, Francisca also has hang-ups with Hyness, as she was also uncomfortable around him early on after HiAD. Although she hasn't been nearly as argumentative, nor as she ever yelled at him as her fiery sister did that for her, but she still made her hang-ups with him clear. That being said, they do make amends later on. Francisca is more or less on the same stance as her fiery sister when it comes to her feelings about Hyness, as she still cares about him but it's more complicated than before. He understands and doesn't blame her. He's heartbroken that he hurt her.

*Despite the hang-ups that Francisca and Flamberge have with Hyness, there are still moments where they hug him. There's also just some serious baggage involved, as his actions have permanently changed things.

Hyness, in a general sense, has gratitude for everyone in the star allies team for saving him, although some of them still have uneasy opinions about him. Honestly, they were more happy about saving the Mage Sisters than they were about saving him.

Here's how he interacts with them individually:

Kirby: Kirby forgives every villain that stops their evil deeds, and Hyness is no exception. The pink puff is very happy to have saved his life and purified him back to his regular self. He considers Hyness to be a friend. And just like Kirby does with all of his friends, he visits him at the Jambandran Base on occasion. Hyness has unbridled gratitude for Kirby. Part of him feels like he didn't really deserve to be saved, but it makes him so emotional that this little guy went out of his way to save him anyways. Quite frankly, Kirby has made Hyness cry happy tears over this more than once. He can't thank him enough. He's hugely indebted to Kirby as a result.

King Dedede: One of the many star allies members that Hyness seldom crosses paths with after HiAD. During the rare instances they do meet, their interactions are polite, but Hyness makes Dedede very uncomfortable deep down. Watching the Mage Sisters get rag-dolled hit way too close to home for Dedede, as it reminded him that he could've done similar things to his waddle dees if Kirby didn't humble him. He's glad that Hyness is purified now, but he can't shake off the discomfort. He wishes him well, though, and vice versa.

Meta Knight: Meta Knight feels discomfort about Hyness for similar reasons as Dedede. He'd never treat his crewmates like what Hyness did to the Mage Sisters. Meta Knight doesn't often express being horrified, but he did so over the things Hyness did in his corruption. After HiAD, these two very seldom see each other, although they do mutually wish each other well.

Bandana Waddle Dee: Another one that Hyness very rarely sees after HiAD, and so there's not much of a relationship between these two. Bandee was terrified of Hyness back in his evil phase, and although he's glad the man is better now, he'd still prefer to keep a distance. Not much else to say here, really.

Magolor: One of the dream friends that Hyness actually sees sometimes outside of his super rare Popstar vacations! This is because Magolor, by virtue of being decent friends with the Mage Sisters, sometimes visits the Jambandran Base. He and Hyness get along very well, enough to even consider each other to be friends. They have informative talks about the Ancients, as well as ancient technology. Hyness thinks that Magolor is a bright-minded and humorous young man, always appreciating his company. Magolor thinks he's an interesting individual and forgives him for what he did.

Marx: Like Magolor, Marx also sometimes shows up at the Jambandran Base due to being good friends with the Mage Sisters, and thus he crosses paths with Hyness more often than many of the other dream friends do. He likes Hyness. They had some not-so-positive interactions early on after HiAD, though, when at one point Marx tried to provoke Hyness into performing another super-fast rant, to which Hyness then snapped and attacked him. They got along better after that, though. Nowadays, Marx just says things to make Hyness laugh. Hyness likes Marx and doesn't grudge about that one instance.

Taranza: Taranza is another one that visits the Jambandran Base sometimes because he's good friends with the Mage Sisters, and so he actually sees Hyness at not an infrequent rate! They're on good and amiable terms. It helps that Taranza is close friends with Zan, and considering his devotion to Sectonia is of similar levels to Zan's devotion of Hyness, Taranza can effectively see Sectonia in him. It makes him sympathize with him and is glad to see he's purified. Hyness really likes Taranza and thinks he's a nice young man.

Susie: Like the three right above her, Susie also sometimes visits the Jambandran Base because she's a close friend of the Mage Sisters, meaning that Hyness sees her more often than many other dream friends. They get along well, although Susie quietly felt awkward around him at first because she's very close friends with Francisca and they both have daddy issues. Susie stays out of the Jamba family's drama, though, and her awkwardness about Hyness reduces once Francisca works things out with him. Hyness likes Susie and is pleased that she's friends with his daughters, especially his icy one.

Gooey: Gooey generally stays in Popstar, and thus it's seldom for him and Hyness to see each other after HiAD. However, during the rare instances where they do meet, they actually get along very well. Gooey is very forgiving like Kirby is, and he likes Hyness! Hyness respects Gooey a lot after learning about his origins. He thinks he's a very sweet and fascinating little guy. He wishes he could see him more often than he does. Gooey would also like that.

Rick & Kine & Coo: They also generally stay in Popstar, and so they rarely ever see Hyness after HiAD. And while they're not grudge-holders, they still feel pretty uneasy about him after witnessing the things he did in front of them and the rest of the star allies team. They're glad he's at least better now and wish him the best, but yeah they barely have a relationship with him at all.

Daroach: Daroach actually visits the Jambandran Base on occasion, and so he and Hyness see each other every once in a while at least. They get along pretty well. Daroach steals from the Jambandran Base, but that doesn't actually upset Hyness. It would, but the Mage Sisters are actually thrilled when Daroach robs the place, because they enjoy chasing after him for it, and they like him. Hyness acknowledges they're all just having fun, and so he likes Daroach. Daroach likes him back and forgives him for what he did.

Adeleine: Adeleine rarely ever sees Hyness after HiAD, and honestly she's not bothered by that. She thought he was really scary during his corrupted phase, and although she's relieved that he's now better, she still considers him to be unnerving. She has no ill-will towards him, though. Not really much else to say for this one.

Ribbon: Another one that Hyness seldom sees after HiAD. That being said, Ribbon doesn't actually mind him now that he's purified, as she's generally braver than Adeleine. The rare instances where she and Hyness interact are generally amiable. There's still not much of a relationship here, though, due to how rarely they meet.

Dark Meta Knight: Even though DMK does have a friendship with Flamberge, he never visits the Jambandran Base as he's not up to travelling all the way there, and thus he and Hyness barely ever see each other again after HiAD. And honestly, DMK doesn't give a crud about Hyness, so he's not upset to hardly ever encounter him.

Nago, ChuChu, Pitch and Shadow Kirby have all also met Hyness during one of his once-every-blue-moon Popstar vacations. Can't say there's much going on there, really. They were all spooked when they learned he was the big villain during the adventure that Kirby and all the star allies partook in, and are glad he's not evil anymore, but other than that they hardly ever see him. Although Nago did let Hyness pet him during their first meet.

Hyness did go with the Mage Sisters to a vacation in the New World because he was curious to check out it, and so he did meet Elfilin, but not much there either aside from Elfilin thinking he's scary. Elfilin is not a fan of the Mage Sisters as he thinks they're scary, and their dad isn't any less scary. They almost never interact after their first meet, though. Doesn't help that Elfilin was informed by some of the dream friends about the events of Star Allies, freaking him the heck out upon learning about Hyness' actions.

That's basically it for this post. As you can see, a lot of the dream friends barely see Hyness again after he's been purified, and truthfully he's still rather controversial in the general opinion of the team. They were all utterly horrified by what he did in his evil phase, and although they're all ultimately glad he's better now, many of them still have uneasy opinions about him.

Pulleyverse characters sending their children off to college

Mori: he's the type of dad to pretend to not care whatsoever about his kid going off to college but secretly be devastated and not want it to happen at all. He'd hold it together until the moment he got in the car to go home after move in and just burst into tears. I can very clearly picture him telling Six not to expect to come home every weekend, and then proceed to ask her if she wants to come home every weekend.

Thaniel: he's sending Six off with a full arsenal of self defense tools and techniques. At least two knives, a whistle, brass knuckles, tasers, the works, and he'd drag her to boxing practices at least once a week leading up to her moving in. He's 100% the "'your kid got in a fight' 'did she win?'" type of parent.

Merrick: the BIGGEST school merch dad you've ever seen. He is raiding the fucking bookstore for hours trying to find the cute little "[school] dad" t-shirts and bumper stickers, and be coming out with at least 90% of their inventory. He orders the other 10% of it online the same night. He's got mugs, coasters, lanyards, anything you can put a logo on. (Plot twist, his kid transfers school the next year)

Raphael: I think he would be the most worried about his kid at parties and teach them as many tips and tricks to stay safe specifically at college parties. That and he would want to make/bring them food every day of the week bc he wouldn't trust a school cafeteria at all. And take them grocery shopping. And bring them home once a week. And-

Joe: he'd be the parent who's actually chill about sending his kids to school. Especially where he has two of them going off to school at the same time, he would get too wrapped up in the chaos of moving them both in at the same time to actually worry about them as much. At the end of the day tho I think he would trust his kids to be smart and reach out if they need help so he wouldn't mind as much if they were farther away.

Missouri: he'd definitely go wandering around the entire campus just to see what it's like. They'd all be looking for him to bring stuff up to the dorm and he'd be on the other side of campus checking out a cool pond he found on the very edge of the school property. Almost gets kicked out for wandering into private areas every year.

Valery: he'd have an absolute BALL trying to help his stepkids pick their classes for the year and just stack their schedule to help them graduate exactly on track, or even earlier if they wanted.

Shenkov: blubbers like a fuckin baby every time and doesn't care who notices. He makes move in a big family thing so everyone has to go and help move the others into school, then hugs the kids goodbye for as long as humanly possible while absolutely sobbing. (Plot twist, the school is only an hour away)

January: tbh I think he would be advocating strongly for gap years/career paths that don't require degrees. He seems like the type of person who wants everyone to get a chance to enjoy their early twenties before they go off to college. Once his kid does get into school tho he'd ask them all about what they're studying (and absolutely love it when they get all excited about it like Gale does).

Gale: Also really wants to know about what their kids are studying, but they go the extra mile and find copies of their assigned reading/textbooks to read and talk more in-depth with their kid about it. How they got copies of some of them, no one is sure, but they have them.

Earth 42 Miles Headcanons/Observations??

-Before the death of his dad, Mr. Morales would take Miles on patrols and the occasional pursuit when something suddenly went down, and watching that he learned how cops operate so now he uses that information to avoid them while doing prowler work.

-I know some of y’all think he’s a hood nigga but in my mind, I just can’t see it all that much. Like yeah, he knows the streets very well he has no choice but to but, he's still Miles, and EVERY Miles is some form of a nerd and lowkey sensitive.

-Speaking of being a complete nerd every little nerdy black boy got their anime to start with Naruto so he's no different. He could probably also get behind death note because it's dramatic and suspenseful.

-He's not straight-up disrespectful. Although sometime the way he words things or his tone could come off as rude he doesn't necessarily mean for it to come out that way…usually. He was raised by a widowed single mom Rio Morales to be specific and just from her minimal screen time in both movies we know she doesn't play.

-But don't get it twisted if he has to pop a mfer in the mouth he will no doubt.

-I feel like he's into different music genres that somehow fall under the category of calm/chill ness(???). His life is chaotic and dramatic enough as it is so the things that he can control, he keeps chill. For instance, the song “Fantasy” by Bazzi seems like his vibe. (I'm not self-projecting I promise!!).

-Definitely feels like he has to grow up and be more mature than his peers due to all of his responsibility. I imagine one day he's just in his room thinking and contemplating life then looks around at how his room is decorated with toys, action figures, and old drawings.

-So he gathers it up getting ready to give everything away until Rio sees and stops him reminding Miles that even during all of this he’s still a kid and deserves to be able to enjoy life like one.

-With that being said, Mrs.Morales tries to get Miles to put himself out there again, asking him to join different clubs and things of the sort, and after a while, he finally lands on two robotics/computer club and baseball (I had to add this because of that one piece of fanart ITS SO GOOD). He even makes some acquaintances in these. Once he gets comfortable with speaking semi-freely people find him likable. 

-I would love to say he joined the art club but I feel like he keeps his art private.

-He’s 100% a mamas’ boy but not a toxic weird incesty type, he just really loves her and looks up to the way she operates. The way she's able to hold herself together and support his needs and even Aarons’ if he needs it.

-He looks up to Aaron in the same way too just doesn't express it as much, not saying that he verbally expressed love all that much with Rio but they both know he loves them and accepts his nonchalantness knowing he's just scared to really express his feelings casually.

Okay, so I've been surfing tumblr and seeing all these headcanons and various other little things about the Sullies as children and it got my brain going so thanks a lot to every last person who has aided in giving me Avatar brainrot. Anyways, I've built this whole thing up in my head that goes from the time Neytiri & Ronal get pregnant to who the fuck knows, so starting with the eldest lets begin (just the Sullys as babies, if you enjoy putting your own thoughts in this one then I'll get to Ronal and Tonowari's kids and more lol).

Neteyam

He was a total and complete accident 100%

Jake and Neytiri were a very quick-burn romantically and got married a little over a year after they officially began dating, they were only married for like 12 seconds when surprise! Positive pregnancy test, babe.

Jake spends a good thirty minutes fully committed to the idea that Neytiri is just fucking with him. She is not.

He spends another thirty minutes wrapping his head around the fact that he's going to be a dad.

He wants so badly to talk to Tommy about it but god damnit he can't.

He's for sure the more cautious one during the pregnancy, of that I have no doubt. Neytiri will want to do some random shit like go horseback riding with Tsu'tey (this man will always live on in my heart okay let me be happy) and Jake will practically faint at the thought alone.

Eventually Neytiri will start pretending to want to do #risky shit solely for the amusement Jake's reactions bring her with zero intentions of actually following through. Nobody is sure if Jake ever ended up catching on or not.

I'm 100% convinced that Neytiri would be into all of the traditional pregnancy milestones/events and fucking live for each and every one of them regardless of Jake's thoughts because it's their baby, Jake, and don't you want to see if a necklace will actually predict the gender of him/her? (It very much did not, Neteyam wound up being a boy. Stupid necklace.)

Grandma Mo'at is your trademark superstitious/nature-inclined grandparent and I have zero doubts that Neytiri has inherited some of that. I feel like it would flare up during her first pregnancy but only, like, low-key. Do with this information what you will.

Jake has no idea what to do or buy or anything but boy does he try. (When he fails he fails hard but when he gets it right he gets it right *that cute little dinosaur mobile is just so adorable!*)

Neteyam is by far Neytiri's easiest pregnancy. She doesn't really get any morning sickness and feels pretty fine in general throughout the whole thing.

She does wind up craving a ton of different fruits though (blueberries and honeydew melon mainly, but also strawberries, watermelon, blackberries, and pretty much any other melon under the sun. Oh, there was also that one time she refused to eat anything but pomegranates for like one solid afternoon).

Neteyam is a summer baby and nobody can convince me otherwise. August, to be exact.

I imagine that, while her pregnancy was breezy, Neteyam's actual birth sucked ass.

Jake almost passes out but luckily war prepared him for the horrors he witnessed in that delivery room.

Neteyam was actually pretty quiet after his birth. Once they got him all wrapped up he was chill.

Jake was the first one to hold him since Neytiri was exhausted beyond understanding, but Jake sat really close to her and she pretty much demanded to hold their son after like 5 minutes and the nurses were all like: ma'am, you're about to pass out???

As long as one of six songs is playing everything is chill: Edith Whisker's Home, Stephan Sanchez's See the Light, Sea Wolf's The Violet Hour, The Family Crest's She Knows My Name, Mills' Born N' Raised, or Black Match's Nowhere. If one of these songs is playing, Neteyam is an angel. The moment the music stops, though? I'd hate to be anyone within a ten mile radius because that baby's got pipes.

I feel like Neteyam is actually a big daddy's boy during this time period. He's all giggly and happy around everyone, but it becomes clear around three months in that dad is indeed the favorite. And it makes sense. Jake is who he's around the majority of his day (I'm fully committed to stay-at-home dad Jake Sully). Neytiri likes to tease him, saying if she was at home more it would be no contest. Secretly, though, she's happy he's bonding so much with their baby. He needs some light in his life.

Jake is completely restless inside but at the same time has no idea what he can and cannot do with a baby (plus there's the whole "music needs to be playing" thing) so he resorts to long car rides regularly with Neteyam's coveted songs playing on repeat.

Neteyam isn't a picky eater per se, but he is very particular---oh who the fuck am I kidding this kid refuses to eat anything but banana baby food voluntarily good luck with that Jake. Eventually Jake manages to weasel in plum baby food too (sticking to the fruit theme I see) but that is it. (I just picture this man in tears trying to get Neteyam to try some peas or a chocolate bar or "something, Neteyam, anything".)

Spider

Spider enters the scene a little before Kiri is born, I like to think. He's already around a year and a half when he's plopped into Norm's lap as a temporary placement while they scramble to find him a more permanent home.

It starts out with Jake agreeing to watch the little guy while Norm does science-y stuff, but quickly Jake finds himself getting attached. Spider is just such a sweet, lively baby who's curious about everything around him, especially Neteyam.

Like seriously, baby Spider is full-on fascinated with his siblings, starting of course with Neteyam. Whenever he sees the boy, he'll squeal excitedly and make hand gestures as if to say "bring him closer!" and it's just the most adorable thing Jake has ever seen.

Wherever Neteyam is set down, Spider will make his way to him no matter what is in the way. He can't walk on his own completely yet, but he is very good at walking by holding on to furniture and other such things. As long has he can pull himself up, this dude is getting places.

Jake learns very quickly to either 1) watch Spider like a hawk at all times or 2) but Neteyam close by and let his charming baby work his magic in getting Spider's full attention.

Spider isn't picky (something that relieves Jake greatly) and will eat pretty much whatever Jake hands him, though Jake quickly learns that yogurt is his favorite.

Spider has a strange fascination with fairy lights, too. He gets a kick out of when they change color and it provides hours of entertainment as long as Neteyam is near as well, allowing Jake to get various things done with little concern. Spider especially likes it when the lights turn red and he always turns to babble nonsense at Jake when they do, most notably being "no no no!" but in, like, a happy way? Jake isn't sure if Spider understands the true meaning of the word yet, which actually concerns him for a little until Spider makes it very clear one day that he is not fond of baths with many no no no's.

Eventually Neytiri can't help but become fond of Spider as well. It starts when Norm needs someone to watch him on a Sunday but Jake can't because Sunday is the day he and Neytiri decided would be his break day, a time away from the kids and house to just relax, so he's at the beach. She reluctantly agrees to take Spider as a favor to Norm, seeing how desperate the man is and also not wanting to interrupt Jake's relaxing day out.

It doesn't get off to a great start. Spider seems perplexed when he realizes that Jake isn't at the house due to the fact that at this point he's been spending Monday through Friday with Jake and Neteyam (along with some Saturdays), and this is followed swiftly by agitation. He isn't a loud crier like Neteyam, but he might just be worse anyways because Jesus does that kid squirm. He spends the first hour whining and squirming and pushing at Neytiri as if to try and get her to put him down. Neteyam calms him considerably, but he's still fussy and babbling "no!" over and over again, along with the occasional break in pattern to sprinkle in some variety.

Neytiri cracks and texts Jake asking what to do, and when Jake asks if she's tried the fairy lights she realizes she hasn't and gives it a try. Spider's whining ceases instantly, replaced by giggles.

After that it's easier, and Neytiri puts on Cars and makes sure that they're both situated safely before going to the kitchen to grab a smoothie and then comes to sit on the couch. When a little hand comes to rest on her knee she looks down and sees Spider looking up at her curiously.

He then proceeds to reach out and ask "eat?" and how did Neytiri not notice how cute he is with his sunshine curls and cornflower eyes and chubby little cheeks and okay maybe she's beginning to understand why her husband is fond of this child.

(She lets Spider try the smoothie, btw.)

The day Norm has to take Spider to his more permanent foster placement, Jake and Neytiri come with and Jake has like a whole list of dos and don'ts and has brought all of the things Spider likes and is all like "and remember, he's super easy to give a bath to so long as you sing him the tiny turtle song while you put him in the tub. Oh, also he loves yogurt but especially the key-lime pie yogurt. And lemon, too! You know what, he likes citrus in general. Don't forget that his favorite color is red! I packed a pair of red pjs in there, they're his favorite, we got them for him when we went to the mall that one time. Also, so long as you feed him a good time before you put him to bed he should go down just fine, just make sure you don't---" and Neytiri's all like "ma Jake I think they get it," only then she begins her own lecture on how he likes it if you put ice in his apple juice and to never give him chocolate because it makes him hyper and don't bother with baby gates because that shit doesn't work and soon enough they realize that, hey, this might be our baby now.

Kiri

She's born a little before Lo'ak. Definitely a spring baby.

The quietest baby you will ever fucking know. When she was born she was so quiet that the doctors were genuinely worried for a moment that she'd been stillborn.

Spider loves her immediately, to absolutely nobody's surprise. A good portion of Kiri's early days are spent being babbled to by Spider endlessly.

Unlike Neteyam, Kiri is a total mama's girl and gets all grumpy when Neytiri leaves the room unless she's sleeping when Neytiri leaves, then for some reason it's all good like? Jake will never understand. Eventually, however, this becomes a Mo'at thing. Very quickly Mo'at and her become one another's favorites and Mo'at will often find the most absurd reason to come see her.

Neytiri sings to her and takes her out to the backyard to lay on the grass and I swear this baby loves grass more than she loves the warmth of her own home.

Kiri loves carrot and pea baby food, much to Jake's surprise. Sure, Spider isn't a picky eater, but the kid was by no means a lover of vegetables. He'd eat them, but never pick them. And Neteyam? Hell, getting that baby to eat something more than plums and bananas was something he considered a win. So a child who actively eats veggies? Fucking finally.

Very interested in all of the plants around their house. Nothing else to be said. She just sort of looks at them in that weird way that only babies can look at something.

She has this purple blanket that Neytiri made for her herself and she will. not. sleep without it. Ever. She won't cry or anything like that if she doesn't have it, but you best bet that she will not be doing much of anything else either.

Whenever she has it she's asleep like 90% of the time. Jake's kind of confused actually because neither Neteyam nor Spider slept as much as she does.

Over all, Kiri is probably the chillest of the Sullys as a baby. Not very demanding, not very easy to upset, and doesn't make things difficult most days.

Lo'ak

Neytiri's hardest pregnancy for sure. She was puking, sick, huge, and could hardly keep anything down at all. The only two things Neytiri managed to keep down throughout her whole pregnancy without puking it up at least once was orange juice (extra pulpy) and Domino's barbeque pizza, and you best bet that got old quick.

Thankfully, the birth went smoothly. He was for sure born in early, early summer---like the time when it's still cooler and sort of rainy but also sunny at the same time.

I don't want to go so far as to say that Lo'ak was a demon-baby, but this child definitely gave Jake a run for his money. One minute he likes something and wants it, the next minute how dare you even so much as think about trying to feed that poison to him. One minute he loves being held, the next minute he's screaming and tears are falling and he hates you. With Jake he was like this all of the time. With Neytiri he was better, but still fussy.

I'm convinced that him and Neteyam were, like, so close when they were little and the only person that Lo'ak was an absolute angel to was in fact little one-year-old Neteyam. Whenever Neteyam was around he would smile and giggle and try to get closer. I swear, even as a baby Neteyam's charm was unparalleled.

Lo'ak has this binky that he had with him almost 24/7. Without it he was even more. . . er, challenging, than usual. And teething hit him hard as well. The amount of teething toys and biscuits this poor family had to go through, I swear.

Lo'ak, unlike the others, did not take to solids very well at first. The struggle to get this child to eat something, anything, that wasn't breast milk was so real you don't even know. Jake just let Neytiri take care of this one, it was clear he wasn't going to get anywhere. How she managed to get him to eat, Jake will never know (it was cinnamon applesauce, she coerced him with cinnamon applesauce).

Lo'ak had this particularly fun phase where he liked pulling on pretty much anything within reach and this led to him almost getting himself killed multiple times.

Whenever Neteyam cried, Lo'ak cried. Whenever Neteyam laughed, Lo'ak laughed. Sometimes when he was particularly exhausted Jake would do his best to get Neteyam in a good mood because if Neteyam was in a good mood, so was Lo'ak.

Despite how difficult Lo'ak could be,  there were these times when he would just cry and cry until Jake picked him up, and then he would just fall asleep while Jake held him. As much as Jake hated to admit it, it felt nice to walk around the house with a sleeping Lo'ak tucked to his chest.

Neytiri would often cook with Lo'ak strapped to her. He was her "little taste-tester".

I'm sorry this got so long my brain knows no bounds I swear I go so overboard sometimes 😭 Tuk isn't in this one because in my head I'm going chronologically btw.

Super Bowl Sunday and the Host Club

The party takes place at the Hitachiin residence. They have amazing TV’s, comfy couches, Hikaru and Kaoru’s parents are chill in this regard, and they love that the boys are having friends come over. Besides between Kyoya’s asshole dad, Tamaki’s asshole grandmother, and the twins begging for Haruhi to come over, it was the most obvious choice. 

Kaoru: Plays host to a degree. He especially dotes on Haruhi to make sure she’s enjoying herself. It’s her first time over to the Hitachiin house, and he’s a nervous boy. Everyone else has been over (whether invited [Kyoya, Honey, Mori] or not [Tamaki]), so they instantly make themselves right at home. He is trying to be more contentious about making sure Haruhi is okay, to the point that even a few other members who are less invested in the game raise an eyebrow. Is a neutral amount of invested. Can walk out of the room during regular plays, and is glued for the more intense parts.

Hikaru: Big football (and also soccer tbh) fan. Just sports in general. HIGHLY invested in the game. Is very disappointed when no one else showed up in face paint. Not even the king??? He is a “no talking allowed” kind of viewer, and at the most extreme plays runs to the next room that has another TV to watch in peace and quiet.  

Kyoya: Surprisingly very invested. Towards halftime and the end of the game, his phone is a blaaazing with notifications. This man made hella bets, and somehow won every one. 

Tamaki: Tries to out perform Rihanna at her own damn half time show. Gets tackled by multiple members (Hikaru and Honey) because they want to see the queen perform. 

Haruhi: Actually said yes right away when invited. Haruhi is there for the snacks and the commercials only. Tries to ask what’s going on a few times, but eventually gives up because again... she’s just there for the snacks and the  commercials. 

Mori: Munches on all the snacks, is fairly interested in the game, but then one of those devastating animal commercials comes on about pets that need adopted, and he’s a mess. On orders from Mori’s parents, Kyoya has already hidden Mori’s phone so he can’t call and immediately adopt *every* adoptable pet within a 100 mile radius.

Honey: One of the main snack suppliers. Pretty chatty with Haruhi and Kaoru. Very into the halftime show, and is immediately quiet. If you’ve read the manga, you know he’s into strong, slightly intimidating/scary women who could step on him. Honey as a Rihanna fan? yes.

been at the lake for 2 hours and my conservative gay uncle is already back on that capitalist bullshit. I appreciate his intention was to help me brainstorm ways to navigate my latest job/living crisis (in which the rich people are once again f*cking me over for doing the best at my job it's possible to do) but he strayed off the mark when he said 'there are jobs you could do for more money' and I said, 'oh? We'd just been talking about how all the jobs I've interviewed for in my field have been offering $17 max.

But okay—I'll do anything. I don't care what I have to do for 8-10 hours a day anymore as long as it pays enough to live (and isn't causing harm to others). He essentially goes, 'but an advantage of your current job is that it's fun.' Bruuuuuuh. I don't think there are many jobs outside of farm & ranch that pay so little for so much back breaking work. Probably mining. Some construction jobs. I heard railway inspectors have to walk about as much as I do, but I'm pretty sure they make more.

But you know there's no way I'm ever going to convince my corporate CEO uncle that what I do on the daily is one of the most grueling jobs on the planet because it's horsies, right? It's fuuuun. omg so fun. I love shoveling 3 tons of manure daily in 120 degree summers. I love dumping carrying dozens of 100 pound buckets because our equipment broke down again. I love walking 12 miles while getting eaten alive by mosquitos. I love trudging through rivers in lightning storms in the middle of the night. I love casually risking life and limb to calm a panicking horse.

I mean, I do kinda love it, but not because it's 'fun' or 'easy.' I love it because it's metal. I could probably make more as a barista if there were a coffee shop that'd give me enough hours, which apparently there isn't because lots of my friends have tried that already and they're just as broke as I am.

I tried to tell my uncle the only friends I have who're making a living are the ones who inherited either a house or a job from their company owning dad. He mentioned 'working my way up' in a company and I nearly fell off the bar chair laughing. Dude I'm litterally in the process of getting punished by corporate for doing The Most And Best Work at my job for two years.

Then he had to top it off by telling me my comic is a hobby and if it's costing me money I can't afford to do it and should just quit.

Oh like... my passion project? The main thing that's given me the will to keep living through most of the last 7 years? That comic? For f*ck's sake man.

He wasn't even done there! He decided to go for the jackpot of Bad Life Advice with, "well you should consider getting rid of your dogs then."

"The dogs I've had for almost 10 years that also give me the will to live and have been my best friends and companions through it all?"

"You can make new friends."

Anyway, I'm chilling in my hideout in the attic now and I'll probably be here for most of the next 4 days. Gonna try to finish one more page of my comic before the year is over and my life fully goes back to broke hobo mode.

Taylor & Travis: Simplified (1/2)

July 8, 2023:

Travis attends the Eras Tour in Kansas from a private box and trades friendship bracelets with fans (where he tries to meet Taylor after the show to give her a personalised friendship bracelet with his number on it, but fails).

July 26, 2023:

Travis reveals his failed friendship bracelet plan on his podcast New Heights, explaining, "I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings... " And, "If you're up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelet, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.

September 16 - 17, 2023:

ESPN teasingly saturates Travis' report with Taylor Swift references, including, "Travis Kelce, at this point in time, is trying to Shake It Off and get back out there. He knows how much he's needed and that he's The Man. It was a little bit of a Cruel Summer for Travis Kelce with that knee injury but he can see the Daylight. He looks like he's Ready For It."

A day later, the jokes continue flooding in in the form of NFL commentary.

September 19 - 21, 2023:

Travis mentions some of his dating dealbreakers on an episode of Kristin Cavallari's podcast (high maintenance, must be humble and grounded, ideally kind-hearted and sweet like his mother, Donna), explaining, "You gotta have some sort of sweetness to you."

Then, Travis' brother, Jason, jokes about dating rumours on DeCamara & Ritchie, commenting, "I think they're doing great and I think it's all 100% true, and I hope this thing goes a mile - no, I'm joking, I don't know what's happening."

Finally, on an interview on the Pat McAfee Show, Travis explains that he threw the ball in Taylor's court by inviting her to see him play at Arrowhead Stadium. He told her, "Ive seen you rock the stage at Arrowhead. You might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead and see which one's a little more lit."

September 24, 2023:

Taylor attends the Kansas City Chiefs game, observing from Travis' suite beside his mother Donna Kelce and wearing Kansas City Chiefs merch. After the game, Taylor and Travis were photographed leaving together in Travis' convertible, literally driving off into the sunset.

September 25, 2023:

A source explains, "They're having fun. This was Taylor's first time meeting his mom and dad, and everyone was enjoying themselves. She was super chill and low-key hanging out with his friends and family." The source also added that after the game, Travis rented out a restaurant for an intimate gathering with those same friends and family, with Taylor in attendance. "They were cute and normal, just hanging out and chatting. There's no pressure."

A source reveals that Travis and Taylor are "still just getting to know each other. It's nothing too serious - he is a charming guy. It's more of a hanging out situation than dating."

October 6, 2023:

Donna, Travis' mum, explains on the Got It From My Momma podcast that, "I feel like I'm in an alternate universe, because it's something i've never been involved with before. Every week just seems to trump the week before. So it's really kind of wild, a wild ride."

Further, Travis addresses his romance with Taylor during a team media availability, explaining, "It feels like I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl and right now I'm even more on top of the world." And in terms of paparazzi buzz, "You've got a lot of people that care about Taylor, and for good reason."

sisko is a drama king on purpose. he's in it for the bit. he's cheeky and he knows it. he is a dad.

bashir is a drama king because he doesn't think anyone takes him seriously (and to be fair, they mostly don't in the beginning). he is also a noodle man with great facial expressions and has a British accent.

odo is a drama king because he is eternally grumpy and doesn't want to deal with people. plus, he's a detective. what else do you expect?

quark is a drama king because it's probably one of the Rules of Acquisition. and how can he not be with the clothes he wears?

worf is a drama king because he has always served with drama kings and queens and monarchs and believes in honor. he is also a drama king because he passionately enjoys opera and prune juice. and he is not a merry man! but he does belong in a costume drama.

garak is a drama king because he is just like that. he lies and he loves to lie. he is a tailor. he is a spy. it is a survival tactic.

miles actually is a drama king but not necessarily because of all the drama he's put through. he complains about all the things that fall outside the realm of the Horrors and it makes for great screwball-type comedy whenever keiko tells him to calm the fuck down. he is friends with bashir. he is a dad. he is also a space engineer.

dukat is a drama king because he believes everything he thinks and says is 100% correct all the time. and he will waste no opportunity to get under his beloathed's skin.

bareil is a drama king because he is too chilled out to not be dramatic when he has the hots for kira. and he has to work with winn.

eddington is a drama king because he's infiltrating DS9 as a member of the Maquis. he is a spy. he pits himself as sisko's rival, he has to try and match his freak to be a successful foil (he is unsuccessful).

sloan is a drama king because he's fucked up and creepy.

weyoun is a drama king because he views himself as the Specialest Birthday Boy who can do no wrong when in fact he is always doing wrong and he knows this.

damar is a drama king because he has to put up with both weyoun and dukat. and the copious amounts of kanar he imbibes just do that to a guy.

rom is a drama king because he is JUST. SO. ENTHUSIASTIC. and rightfully so. his brother is a bitch.

jake is a drama king because he's a writer. 'nough said.

nog is a drama king because he is simultaneously anxious and frighteningly self-assure all the time and that can't be healthy for a guy.

vic fontaine, if you count him, is not a drama king. he is a hologram club owner from the 1950s. he knows when to make way for the drama others reap, create and seek out.

Brothers as Teachers

I want to be a teacher so here's my take on the brothers having my dream job.

Lucifer: - the war veteran history teacher - hates the curriculum and text books and makes sure his student KNOW they are terrible - seems strict but his students know he's very soft - will helps kids who put in effort and leave behind those who don't - enjoys it when his students get involved and debate - dad mode will activate sometimes on his students - has a rumor about him dating the Principle Diavolo - doesn't address it directly but his students know and support him

Mammon: - the math/ business teacher - he's the math teacher kids pray to have - so understanding of learning disabilities and hardships - believes every kid is smart and tries to foster their love to learn - he's been in their shoes and always tells stories of him getting in trouble to boost their mood - brings chaos to the classroom - probably taught his kids how to gamble

Levi: - low key the crazy biology teacher - has like 4 different class pets all named Henry - his room is anime themed with a corner dedicated to TSL - is the sponsor for the anime club and will show certain episodes in class as "educational videos" - his students know about his beef with Mammon and help him pull pranks on Mammon and his students - is also the swim coach so sometimes they will have class by the pool - keeps his room open during lunch for kids with social anxiety so they don't have to go to the cafeteria

Satan: - the English teacher who flexes their personal library - is probably the most "strict" - has his students keep notebooks where they can talk to him about anything and everything - if you get 100% on something he draws a cat for you - every Friday he doesn't actually teach but instead its a personal reading/writing day no grades attached - holds debates every Wednesday to help grow his students perspectives - ships his students and WILL pair them up this man lives for dramas

Asmo: - in the know art teacher - this is the best class to be in if you want drama - you can listen to music OR gossip with him - can and will give out relationship advice - probably started the rumors about Diavolo and Lucifer - Solomon is always visiting the classroom that it's not even a rumor they are together - also ships his students but is less sneaky about getting them together - keeps a bunch of hygiene things in his room for everyone. If you need something come get it you don't have to ask and he won't ask questions

Beel: - the chill PE teacher - is so sweet and understanding of others that if you can't do something that day he tries to comfort you - has an open door policy where you can come to him for anything - I like to think in this AU he has a PTSD service dog and if they go outside that day one of the activities you can choose is to play with it - will ALWAYS do the workout or activity with his students - runs at the back during the mile and helps motivate kids - keeps a bunch of snacks that students can swing by and take without asking. He believe kids shouldn't go hungry so stop by whenever

Belphie: - the will fight the government psychology teacher - you either get whole rants about the subject and how terrible the systems are or sleepy boy who gives you the period to work - tries to keep his lectures short to have your full attention the whole time - the structure of his classroom is to optimize productivity and if students have all the brothers you can see he makes his brothers do the same thing - sometimes has class outside next to Beel's - if a student needs a nap he keeps blankets and pillows in his room - hates desks so he doesn't use them in his class, you sit in a beanbag or something comfy and you will like it - once a week gives students a free period to catch up on other teachers work
