Final thoughts on ACOWAR + the trilogy as a whole
I am done. I am never, EVER touching a single book by SJM again. I dipped my toes into ToG and decided that it was not for me and, with the rest of the series looming overhead, also decided that it wasn't even worth reading ironically. I gave ACOTAR a try and thought "Hey, it's only a trilogy. How bad can it be?" It was very bad. ACOTAR was mostly boring and unremarkable, with the most egregious problem being the beginning of SJM's systematic butchering of fae mythology and turning them into omegaverse alphas - just without the knots. ACOMAF was HORRID and the 3 days it took me to read felt like half an eternity and I had a headache for the entire time. ACOWAR is marginally better than ACOMAF, instead of horrid it's just bad and occasionally infuriating. I learned from ACOMAF and spaced out my reading time, so I only got a headache on the third day of reading it and then decided to take a 5 day break. The first section of the book was just me rolling my eyes until they fell out of my skull. Tamlin in this first section is a prime example of what I like to call a hatesink. We are meant to hate him and nothing else. I didn't even really give a shit about him being a shitty person bc it didn't matter! Feyre hates him and we are supposed to hate him, regardless of what he does. He could have been kicking puppies and knitting sweaters for orphans in consecutive scenes and Feyre would literally have the same internal narration about how much she hates him and how she can't wait to make him miserable. I was over it after 2 paragraphs, I didn't feel anything, no satisfaction, no nothing. Finally leaving the Spring Court was a relief but it was short-lived when we returned to Velaris with Lucien. GOOD GOD, is the Inner Circle as infuriating pile of people. I needed someone to throw hands. Either the Inner Circle with each other and someone on the outside with one of them, preferably Rhysand. Can someone knock a couple of Rhysand's teeth out? PLEASE?? I get why Lucien didn't do it. If he so much as smacked someone from the IC over the head, I 100% believe Rhysand would throw a huge temper tantrum like the toddler he is, and pulverize him but someone else could have... Mor should have AT LEAST attempted to slap him for the shit he pulled with Keir and Eris. Nesta's hands could've been rated E for everyone at, like, any point in the book. Maybe I just want to see Rhysand get socked in the face... Pre-war the threat of Hybern fell kind of... flat after two pairs of Importantly Titled people from Hybern, one pair of which boasts about how they have a thousand years of experience on Feyre, almost immidiately get offed by either our protagonists or whatever much more interesting eldritch horror lives in their basement. What a threat, I was at the edge of my seat, worried the King of Hybern will send over some more schmucks to get axed. It doesn't help that they have less character depth than a Powerpuff Girls villain... SJM seems to have some sort of allergy to having Feyre acknowledge her mistakes. On two seperate occasions, she was just starting to recognize an action she took might have been a mistake because of the consequences it had, then Rhysand swooped in to make sure she won't. She directly paved the way for Hybern to attack the Summer Court and lay siege to Adriata, killing hundreds of innocent people, by bringing down the Spring Court. The fucking King of Hybern himself verbally thanks her for it! She made a mistake, fueled by her desire for revenge but the narrative, through Rhysand, REFUSES to acknowledge it as a mistake. The protagonists are Always Right even when they're not. Her violent outburst at the meeting of the High Lords was the same story. The meeting in itself was the singular most frustrating thing I have ever read. Not one, not two but three times did someone from the Night Court have a violent outburst because of things someone said and they were the ones who called the meeting. I know the book tried to convince us Tamlin was the one with a short temper but holy shit, none of IC are any better?? You people are flying off the handle left and right? Say what you will, but at least Tamlin kept his jabs verbally this time. Reading about the meeting was like watching a bunch of magically superpowered toddlers. How have some of these Courts managed to stay functioning with these people as their leaders? None of them read like decades or even centuries old people... At least I now have a better understanding of the mentality of backseat gamers... The sex scenes were placed at some of the weirdest parts. Like the one time Rhysand and Feyre had a quickie just after she got back from her exhausting multi-day treck from the Spring Court while Lucien was waiting in the entrance hall of the house in his dirty, tattered clothes... And of course, who could forget the blowjob to the live surround-sound of people's death throes. Seems like a bit of a mood killer, I don't know if I could get hard in that situation. The battle scenes in and of itself, especially when the actual big-scale war started? Holy shit these scenes were BORING. I really don't know how SJM managed to make an all-out war between two factions of ludicrously powerful magical beings boring but she managed it. Utterly tensionless drivel. At no point was I ever under the impression that any of the main characters or sympathetic secondary characters would die or get permanently injured in some way. And the deaths we did have... didn't elicit much of a reaction beyond a shrug. Feyre's dad was barely in the first book, completely written out of the second and then appears at the end of the third just to be murdered in front of our protagonist and her sisters and I'm supposed to care? The Bone Carver and the Weaver are paper-thin "ooohh so scary" ancient eldritch beings who both bite it pretty unceremoniously and, again, I'm supposed to care? Literally didn't even react to the death of the King of Hybern beyond a shrug. I also find it funny how so many, arguably important characters just... remain nameless. The main antagonist, the Big Bad? He's just "the King of Hybern". Lucien's mother, the Lady of the Autumn Court, who saved the protagonist's life in book one? She doesn't have a name either! The father of our protagonist? You guessed it, nameless! Rhysand's mother and sister, whose deaths were the catalyst for his and Tamlin's feud? Fuck them, I guess. But you can fucking bet your ass Feyre's two maids in Velaris, who have literally zero personality or plot importance, have names. One of them is named after fucking Cerridwen. Closing thought, can we talk about how SJM gave the singular most bombass aesthetic, night sky and stars, to Rhysand - the literal most dripless person in the history of fiction. It's always just tunics or jackets with no description beyond being black. Even Rhysand's fucking wedding ring (or equivalent there of) is just a silver band. The most he ever did with accessories was wear a crown of raven feathers. Rhysand is the equivalent of that picture of Ed Sheeran in a t-shirt next to a glammed-up Beyonce. He is the male actor showing up the MET gala in a simple black suit, regardless of theme. No drip, no style, no fashion, just boring.
#saccha reads acowar#anti sjm#anti acowar#anti acotar#anti acomaf#i compiled these thoughts while reading#i didn't pump this out in the 2 minutes after finishing the book#long post#no neat list this time#sorry

cartoon network-related childhood nightmares:
the powerpuff girls episode where it fully looks like an undead magician kills blossom, a kindergartener, on-screen with a spiked coffin
the other one where they fly too fast and end up in a future where everything’s ruined because they weren’t around to save the day jesus. “I just stood there waving goodbye... waving goodbye...”
also the plot where him makes everybody hate and attack them. so many of these were rough watches when you’re little.
that episode of dexter’s lab where he gets stuck in jail on another planet and the elephant-trunked alien keeps trying to eat him and going GOOOOORK
dexter forcing deedee to say goodbye to her imaginary friend and it just ends with her sobbing because she misses him
this other moment where she tries to make him into a hippie but he wrecks his lab or something and she runs away crying about how she tried to make him something he’s not, leaving him surrounded by his broken lab. mostly just sad-disturbing than scary
the one where they don’t flush their dead fish so it haunts them because it can’t get to the great beyond
the post-movie season ep where he tries to stay up to watch a horror movie, and gets so freaked out his eyes dialate and he foams at the mouth??? that skeeved me out so badly lmao
you know most courage episodes, honestly. but epecially the spirit of the harvest moon live-action high contrast black and white head. yeah, definitely effective.
the tales of worm paranoia what-a-cartoon short. if you saw it you just violently remembered it didn’t you

26, 29, 30, 36?
*cracks knuckles*Alright, let’s do this.
26: The late Robin Williams & Hayao Miyazaki are two particular people in my life I’ve idolized for what happiness/imagination they’ve brought into others lives. Robin Williams untimely passing still hurts for me to look back on because this man made it his mission to bring so much joy into other peoples lives through his acting on the big screen, whether it was dramatic or comedic. That’s what I found the most impressive about Robin’s range in acting. He could be an over the top funny individual, but Robin’s acting chops were in a league of their own. Whether he was behind the microphone having the time of his life as Genie on Aladdin or giving a powerful dramatic performance on Good Will Hunting as Will’s therapist, I could feel the unconditional kindness. There was something about Robin’s acting power that would usually manage to reel me in. Even if I never knew him in real life, obviously, this man just radiated with so much kindness that I felt from his entire presence on screen. It’s seriously unfortunate what became of Robin Williams in the end with his unexpected death, but his legacy has inspired me to be kinder to others in real life. As for Hayao Miyazaki, this guy is a huge factor in why I got into loving anime related stuff all the more, as his creations in storytelling and the art itself for the movies were beyond unlike anything I still have yet to seen be topped quite frankly. It’s so easy for me to get emotionally lost in his films like My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Castle In The Sky, and Spirited Away. This man never ceases to amaze me with how usually impactful and in depth his films are. They’re so full life that it’s easy to lose sight of whats happening in the actual story at times. Mayazaki understood how to breathe a ton of humanity into creating such resonating works of fiction. Have a much greater appreciation for them in my adult years. There’s a reason why they inspired companies, like Pixar, to create immersive stories of their own.
29: Favorite films range from Zootopia, Wreck It Ralph, M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable, Aladdin (1992), The Secret Of NIMH, The Lion King (1994), The Incredibles, UP, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Finding Nemo, Inside Out, Kung Fu Panda 1 & 2, How To Train Your Dragon Trilogy, Toy Story 1-4, The Great Mouse Detective, Lilo & Stitch, The Emperors New Groove, A Goofy Movie, Good Will Hunting, The Fox And The Hound, The Land Before Time, The Brave Little Toaster, Frozen, Shrek 1 & 2, Coraline, Paranorman, Kubo And The Two Strings, The Muppets (2011), Princess Mononoke, Castle In The Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Spirited Away, Porco Rosso, Summer Wars, Beauty and the Beast (1991), Winnie The Pooh (1977 & 2011 iterations.), The Peanuts Movie, The Princess And The Frog, The Jungle Book (2016), Scooby Doo On Zombie Island, Harry Potters’ 1-7, Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy, Wonder Woman, Sam Raimi’s Spiderman 1 & 2, The Black Panther, Thor & Thor Ragnorok, The Avengers, Avengers Infinity War & Endgame, Spiderman Into the Spiderverse, Captain America Trilogy, Iron Man Trilogy, Star Wars Episodes 4-8, and The Breakfast Club to stop this list from getting any longer. =P
30: Favorite TV shows range from Cowboy Bebop, Avatar The Last Airbender, Yu Yu Hakusho, Digimon Adventure 01 & Tamers, Teen Titans (2003), Batman The Animated Series, Ed, Edd,& Eddy, Samurai Jack, Courage The Cowardly Dog, The Powerpuff Girls (Screw that garbage reboot.), Chowder, Bojack Horseman, DuckTales (1987), DuckTales (2017), Gravity Falls, Code Geass (This series has shaky writing in a number of areas, but that ending was beautiful.), Amphibia, Steven Universe, Oban Star Racers, Made In Abyss, Stranger Things, Gargoyles, My Hero Academia, Naruto (I’ve got a soft spot for this series despite my MANY problems with its story later on.), Pokemon (Serious nostalgia overload!), Dragonball Z (My very first anime series I got into through the Toonami block. A real shocker I know. LOL!), Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, The Promised Neverland, Death Note, Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers, Sonic SatAM, Talespin, Darkwing Duck, The Grim Adventures Of Billy & Mandy, Robot Chicken, A Pup Named Scooby Doo, Kim Possible, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, and Fullmetal Alchemist (2003).
36: My three dream scenarios I’d like to fulfill?
1: Become A Voice Actor
Been interested in voice acting since I was a young teen, but have been in a conflicted state over these recent passing years in my life on whether or not I’d like to approach that route. There’s a lot of commitment I’d have to put into auditioning my butt off for roles I may or not get. Then comes the consistent practicing to keep my vocal chords in shape, so I don’t get rusty whatsoever. The industry for this kind of job can be hard to get recognized in too by how many other notable well known VA’s there are already. Not to mention, from what I’ve researched up on being a voice actor doesn’t bring in the money naturally, as it’s more of a passion job which that’s terrific and all, but if I want to partake in this profession I’ll have to juggle a job along with that which putting all those factors in my head honestly makes me intimidated. Ahhh well, it’s just something I’ll have to wait and see on if I can make that idea into a reality or not. No need to rush myself, of course.
2: Taking Up The Mantle Of Reviewing Shows & Films For A Living
Fiction, just like for many people, has been a great deal of helping me in my life moments of stress, solitude, depression, and anger. I’d love nothing more than to further express that to anyone out there in reviewing in great detail certain films or shows that I’ve come to love over these years in my life so far. Mostly for animation though, as its been a gateway for finding many gems of quality films or series. It never ceases to surprise me on how creative and powerful animation can be with its inventive ways of getting me to become an emotional mess. While I do enjoy live action series and films they pale in comparison to the beauty animation has brought into my life, since my early childhood of watching shows on Cartoon Network, Toon Disney, and Nickelodeon to a smaller degree. I’d like to think I’m good enough with how I present my reasons on why I feel so strongly connected to these stories showcasing characters trying to find hope in their own hard times. I try my hardest to take moments of my own life and find ways to connect it with whatever story I’m getting into next, so it can be all the more a special experience for myself. It’s important to put whatever character resonates with you most in their shoes for why you feel their emotional journey connecting with your own life on every conceivable level possible. That will make it when you write these kinds of reviews a very empowering read for others to feel either heard in their own feelings or simply giving others a new perspective to consider on this piece of fiction you’re discussing. Seeing some of my own particular analytical posts in the past here on Tumblr garner some attention from people gives me a boost of feeling better about potentially making this choice.
3: Starting A Family Of My Own…?
I can’t begin to tell ya how many times I’ve gone back and forth for getting married in the distant future to become a father has sped through my mind. On one hand, it scares the crap out of me to be taking up that big of a responsibility. However, on the other hand its deeply fascinated me emotionally of creating life through love for your significant other in starting your own family tree. I’d love to be able to raise kids of my own to pass on the lessons I’ve learned in life to make them become better people in the distant future, while showering them with unconditional love and affection. That would fill me up with such an indescribable joyous feeling to hear their own dreams and desires on what they want to accomplish in life. While I’d be a strict parent, I wouldn’t be a hard headed one quick to dismiss their own complaints if they had problems with how I handled things, once they start to get older. The kind of parent I’d want to be is an understanding open minded one who doesn’t judge their son or daughter for when they have an issue with me. Just because I’m a parent in that scenario doesn’t put me on a pedestal of immunity from criticism. Granted, I certainly don’t want to be a doormat for them to try taking advantage of either, but it’s also important to not let your parental role go to your head, too.
Although, I don’t plan on even trying to make this last dream of mine happen anytime soon. This is something that is MUCH later down the road that I wish to have happen. However, I won’t lie and say that I haven’t considered just staying content as a single guy for the rest of my life relying on close friends to bring me joy equivalent to this dream. While I adore the concept of creating life through love and being a father, there’s a shit ton of responsibility that comes with it. The life of a parent is not just putting your all into it. You gotta give more than just 100% when wanting to be a parent. It’s a serious test of your spiritual endurance, which I’m not sure is something I’ll ever have the courage to do, but then again things can change in life on the flip of a dime, so I’ll see how this all plays out for myself. Maybe I’ll stay happily single or I’ll happily be raising kids.
Gee, I wonder why this dream of being a parent resurfaced in my head recently this year? Oh yeah, it was thanks to this character here.
Seriously, Della Duck holds a real special place in my heart for making me feel these kind of feelings yet again. Darn you space mom! LOL.
Thanks for the ask, man.

Heya! I was just wondering, why don't you like magical-girl horror games/tv shows? (This isn't meant to be confrontational at all, I'm just wondering! :3)
Hey anon! :D no worries! This didn’t come across as confrontational at all!
This is gonna be largely more anecdotal than factual, and the factual parts will come from other people’s posts more than what I’ve made myself, and whose opinions on this I found as explaining emotions I’d felt myself for a while, without knowing how to articulate it.
(Under the cut because this is gonna be a lot of words. And gifs because of course I put gifs in things)
So I’ve been a Sailor Moon fan since I was about 13. (this is not the reason WHY I dislike grimdark Magical Girl Shows but its a good place to start). the Sailor Moon R movie was the very first DVD I ever bought and the first thing I ever saw of the show (I had seen anime before and had a good idea what it was but this was my first experience with Magical girls and Sailor Moon). And I remember very clearly how enthralled 13 year old me was at this story. About these girls a year older than I was, fighting this bad guy from outer space who badly injured Usagi’s boyfriend. And that no matter HOW MUCH Usagi reached out to the bad guy to try and understand him, just how much he RESISTED her friendship. I remember the scene where he grabs the Silver Crystal on her chest and tries to rip it off little me actively thought “holy shit! This guy just WILL NOT STOP!! How on earth can he be stopped if he just KEEPS COMING???”
But of course, in the end, Sailor Moon is able to reach him. She is able to offer understanding for his sadness, and when he finally realises her sincerity, he is “defeated” BUT. More Importantly. He is the one who ends up saving Sailor Moon’s life at the end as a last goodbye gift to Mamoru, the boy he was in love with and who Sailor Moon loves as well. Before he leaves forever.
So a thing here. Not ONCE while watching the film the first time, did I EVER think to myself “Just stab him, Sailor Moon!” or “Stop trying to reach him and just kill him!!”. Like, NONE of those thoughts came to mind. I was fully invested in seeing Sailor Moon stop the bad guy, not by stabbing or killing him, but by REACHING HIM.
So anyway. We move on and for a while as a teenager I went through that dumb phase where I thought every magical girl show was a “Sailor Moon Rip off” and that they must all be bad because of it! In part it was true, as Sailor Moon was the first Magical Girl show that had girls use magic to fight bad guys, rather than become Jpop idols or adults or anything along those lines. However, Just because something takes cues from a genre changer doesn’t make it bad… right?
So, as I grow up I start to understand Magical Girl shows. I get what they are. They are, at their core, about young girls (usually between 12 - 16) transforming into a magical alter ego to fight bad guys and protect or save a love interest as well as their friends (mentored by a small animal friend). And this idea just seemed like… so obvious to me? But I had the luxury of growing up with this idea. That girls could fight bad guys without being tom boys or masculine or “hot and sexy”. I had the Powerpuff Girls growing up after all. Girls could be heroes while still being girls and liking girl things and wanting to have boyfriends and loving their families and wanting to protect their friends! And magical girl shows are always about getting more and more powerfull, so that by the END of the show, you face the biggest meanest bad guy of all! And then you beat him in the end. And it takes great sacrifice and you lose things and even people you love, and you have to give up so much. But in the end you win! and the biggest bad guy is dead. And you get to live your life full of hope and happiness as you’ve granted the people of earth and your friends a safe and happy life. You have protected that which you love. And it was hard, but by believing in yourself and your friendship you did it! And now, even if something bad happens again, you are powerful enough to face it.
And then, in 2011, along came Madoka Magica.
I was recommended Madoka Magica by a guy who runs (to this day) an anime store in the city I lived. Saying it was a Magical Girl show with a darker edge to it. And told me “watch until episode 3, and you’ll know if you’d like it or not”.
Having watched Revolutionary Girl Utena by now, I was excited by what I considered a “Trap” anime. An anime that leads you to believe its one thing, and then after a few episode throws the curtain back and goes “HAHA FOOLED YOU!! THIS IS ACTUALLY SO MUCH MORE THAN IT SEEMED!”Utena did this as well. And Utena was and is my favourite anime. (tied by Sailor Moon.)
So I watched Madoka Magica and I liked it a lot!! I watched all 12 episodes, and it was hard, but by the time I got to the end, I felt rewarded for sticking through all the really terrible things that happened to the characters. I described it to other people as “It’s going to make you feel terrible and if you’re able to stick with it, it will reward you by the end!”. Some people saw the end of the show as rather hopeless, or stagnant, but I saw it as an empowering message. That even if someone tells you something is impossible, you should try anyway! Because you are more powerful than they realise! And THAT, I felt, is why all the suffering was important. Because it needed to challenge just HOW TERRIBLE being a magical girl is, and just what a bad idea it is, and even if you become one you can’t change anything. But then Madoka at the end plays the system against itself, and fixes things for every girl throughout history forever. And yes there are still bad times and friends still die, but she took away the dark core of the situation.
Also, Utena had given me a taste for genre deconstruction by this point.
So yay! a great show with a really unique take on the idea of “Magical Girl!” Awesome! There was nothing else like it!
….aaaaand then…. Madoka became super super popular. And that’s when the trouble started.
I found out a few months ago, that Madoka Magica’s writer and creator, Gen Urobuchi, (a man) created Madoka Magica with a very specific idea in mind; That women having goals and wishes are dangerous and lead to suffering. That girls should not have ideals and ambition. Because it will only hurt and punish them. And he wanted to show that in Madoka Magica by showing how, if no girl in the show had ever made a wish, none of the bad things in the show would have happened at all. He has stated this in multiple interviews.
Madoka Magica, however, was an anime, and had several people working on the show, not just one guy. So how much was altered and changed to circumvent his intentions I don’t know. But even if his opinions could devalue the show as a message of empowerment, it can’t change the fact that I WAS empowered by it.
But as I said, then Madoka Magica became OBSCENELY popular. But like… that was not the problem. What the problem was was… “an anime, written by a man, about cute magical girls suffering horribly, became popular with a male audience”.
And due to the insane level of popularity, this lead to copycat shows. And these shows did not copy Madoka Magica’s deconstruction of the genre, they did not copy the art style, they did not copy the deeper look at Magical Girls as a concept. They copied the idea of “Grown Men making shows about cute really moe looking girls suffer horribly for a male audience”.
And during this surge of Madoka copycats, I watched “Yuki Yuuna is a hero” and I HATED it.
Yuki Yuuna is a story about a group of girls who are given the opportunity to become magical girls and help make the world a better place. They are already all part of an after school club called “the hero club” where they do things like volunteer work, or babysitting, or helping out at libraries etc etc. So the idea of becoming REAL heroes and saving the world?? Of course they absolutely want to do that!!
So they get essentially tricked into this situation where they fight giant monsters who come to destroy the world, and they each have a “final move” they can use to destroy these monsters. However, after a difficult battle which had all of them use their biggest move at least once to protect each other and save the world, they all find themselves slightly injured and, weirdly, a part of their body stops working. One girl becomes mute, another loses sight in her one eye, another hearing in her one ear etc etc.
The show goes on to explain that, in becoming magical girls, what these girls have really become, are sacrifices to the gods to protect the earth. And each time they use the gods’ power, they sacrifice a physical part of themselves to use the power of the gods.
So these girls essentially get slowly MAIMED throughout the series, because they wanted to make the world a better place! They didn’t even get wishes like in Madoka! they LITERALLY just wanted to save the world. And they were punished for it.
And just in case it wasn’t clear who this show was for, ALL their transformation sequences are accompanied by aggresive fanservice shots.
of these 14 year old girls.
youtube
And that’s where the entire idea of “Grimdark Magical Girl” show fell apart for me as a concept. And I didn’t bother checking out any more.
And what did we get after this?
Magical Girl Raising Project. a show where a group of CHILDREN who want to become magical girls have to Battle Royale each other to fucking death until the last child standing
And now the recent Magical Girl Site. A Magical girl show that includes Domestic abuse, vicious school bullying, self harm etc etc.
Even Re:Creators, a show I LIKE had this with their ONE magical girl character, Mamika. I am extremely pissed off that Re:Creators decided that Mamika, the magical girl, is the character that had to be killed horribly so that her death could motivate OTHER characters into action.
The only reason I am able to swallow this in Re:Creators, despite being angry about it, is that before she died, Mamika was shown to possibly be the strongest character in the whole show. To the level of being completely OP. And the fact that she died because she tried to reach the main bad guy, knowing full well she most likely would not survive, but she wanted to try anyway.
youtube
It still makes me mad, but at least it does take the sting away SOMEWHAT. Especially since Re:Creators is not a magical girl show. And its entire point is to dissect all its characters by removing them from their own anime and video games and forcing them into a reality where they have to face things they would not normally have to worry about in their safer, more genre-based universes.
“Dark Magical Girl” or as I like to refer to it as; “Grimdark magical girl” shows are now the most popular versions of the magical girl genre.
a genre that STARTED as manga written by women for girls to read and feel empowered by. They have now been turned into a genre for teenaged to adult men to enjoy cute moe girls in horriffic torture porn. (see. Because torture makes it MATURE and ADULT).
They are no longer shows spreading messages to young girls about believing in themselves and their friends and their own power, but are instead torture porn for men.
There is an excellent post by a tumblr user called @timemachineyeah which I link to all the time regarding this topic which I will do so again here;
https://thefloatingstone.tumblr.com/post/165077370034/i-cant-remember-if-youve-posted-about-this#notes
And in the OP’s words (emphasis mine):
“[…]That’s not subversive. That’s our whole fucking lives. That’s what we get everywhere else. Nothing a girl does can be right. We’re bad to have ambitions and to want things. Even the “nice” things we do are dismissed with ulterior motives as soon as someone decides they’re done with us.
And I fucking hate people calling it “so profound” and whatever, when it’s ultimately torture porn and the message isn’t even deep.
And more than that, I hate that it’s success has spawned a series of knockoffs, so that now moe torture porn grimdark magical girls has become the most common iteration of the genre. So we had the incredibly ableist (OMFG WORST SHOW EVER MADE) Yuki Yuuna is a Hero, and we’re getting the “Magical Girls have to CULL EACH OTHER in a grim CHILDREN-LED FIGHT TO THE DEATH” of Magical Girl Raising Project and like I’m so fucking done with these grown ass men making shows for other grown ass men shitting all over girls’ power fantasies and thinking that shitting all over girls’ power fantasies is something new and subversive and not a reassertion of the status quo.“
Does that mean I think men can’t make magical girl shows? Of course men can make Magical girl shows! Revolutionary Girl Utena is an ENTIRE show about the patriarchy and its destruction of girls and the role of women in society and the eventual triumph of our female heroes OVER PATRIARCHAL BULLSHIT ITSELF” and it was created by a man!!
Namely Kunihiko Ikuhara!
And not only did he make Revolutionary Girl Utena, but he is large responsible for not only making Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune a couple in the original anime, but for largely fleshing out their motivations and drive in the anime, making season S of Sailor Moon PROFOUNDLY better than the exact same arc in the manga!
But this is not what is happening here. Heck, I have a suspicion one of these grimdark shows might have originally been written by a woman.
What’s happening here is not about who the creator of these shows are, it is who these shows are INTENDED for. And what their intent as a show is. And yes. a lot of Magical girl shows have the intent of selling merchandise. Let’s not pretend PreCure or Jewel Pet are trying to become feminist icons or anything. But even if their intent is merely to sell toys, they STILL have the function of telling girls to have hopes and dreams, fight to protect their friends, and that it is OK TO DO SO WHILE STILL BEING A GIRL. Something American tv wasn’t doing at the time! Instead all girl characters from America who were “tough” were all tomboys who hated pink and refused to wear dresses, a la Spinelli in the cartoon “Recess”.
It was not until Sailor Moon showed up girls were taught you don’t HAVE to be a brutish loud angry tough girl to believe in your own power.
But now the magical girl genre’s most popular shows are not about girls being powerful and having dreams and protecting the earth.
It’s about how much our cute moe looking protagonists can suffer. For having the audacity to want to having power to protect others.

South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut (1999); The “TV Show: The Movie” that Pushed its Source Material into the Future
There was a time where “TV Show: The Movie” movies had broken into the mainstream, and not always for the better. Starting around 1998 with the release of “Rugrats: The Movie”, which went on to become the first Non-Disney animated movie to gross over $1,000,000, company executives and Hollywood producers alike took note and suddenly a big-budgeted wild fire tore through the vast forest that was television; “Recess: School’s Out”, “Hey Arnold! The Movie”, a trilogy of Pokémon movies, “The PowerPuff Girls Movie”, “The Wild Thornberry Movie”, “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, even the most obscure cartoons of the time like Disney ‘s “Teacher’s Pet” took a try at becoming the next box-office phenomenon. From 1998 – 2004 alone, 15 movies were produced based on television cartoons, almost all of which were just clear cash-grabs to capitalise not only on the brand’s popularity, but the success of "Rugrats: The Movie", and most often, the quality reflected the profit. Whilst a majority of them did make back their budget and then some, barely any were competing with the numbers shown by the Rugrats a few years prior.
I feel that was because audiences quickly grew accepting of what the quality of the majority of these films would be; just nothing more than a feature length episode of the show that didn’t take any advantage of what the film medium could offer. Regardless however, at this time, “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, not being one to not just aboard an opportunity to cause a ruckus in the media, took it upon themselves to bring their ever-so controversial cartoon about the residents of a small Colorado town with a vast catalogue of bad language to the big screen.
In 1999, the two released into cinema what I still believe to be one of the boldest and most important steps the South Park series had to take in order to be where it lies today; By taking everything that worked about the show, and using every advantage the film medium could give to make one of the most simultaneously funny, vulgar, offensive and yet smart animated films ever made.
After their favourite Canadian TV starts Terrance and Philip release their feature film debut “Asses of Fire”, young South Park residents Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny (all voiced by Stone and Parker) become fixated with the movie’s offensive language, with the starts often referring to each other as “Pig Fucker” or “Uncle Fucker” When this language interferes with the boys’ lives, primarily when Cartmans tells his teacher to “suck my balls” or when Kenny kills himself trying to set his fart on fire like Terrance and Philip do in the movie, the parents of the town start a protest group which starts as an attempt to get the film banned in the United States, that very quickly spirals out of control and leaves Kyle’s mom arresting the controversial duo and becoming President Clinton’s Secretary of Offence as the country declares war on Canada. With only two days before Terrence and Philip are executed, the children of South Park quickly scramble to find of a way to show their parents that they’ve got too far, whilst their deceased friend Kenny also tries to warn them of how the day of Terrance and Philip’s death was prophesised by Satan himself to be the day he returns to bring 1000 years of darkness unto the Earth.
As you may have been able to gather from that plot summary alone, there are a lot of views and themes going on throughout this movie’s short 76 minute runtime (a length I personally believe plays well into the “Bigger, Longer & Uncut” subtitle of the movie. Aside from the obvious circumcision joke) Perhaps the film’s biggest statement is not-only ironic but contradictory method the children’s parents have in tacking “Asses of Fire” and its obscene content. Rather than taking more interest in what their children can and can’t watch for example, they instead feel the need to put the blame not only on the creators of the movie, but their country of origin instead (perhaps also a metaphor for the blame people put on a country rather than just those responsible. This film did release a year after the 1998 United States Embassy Bombings and does feature a deceased Saddam Hussein as Satan’s emotionally abusive lover after all). These parents getting radical over obscene language could also clearly stem from the controversy “South Park” itself was facing at the time with parental groups during its original 3 season airing, back when the show’s animation was the cardboard cut-out equivalent to an early 2000s flash animation on Newgrounds.com. This point is very interesting to me as not only does it act as Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s “meditation” so-to-speak about all the attention they had created for their show, but it also marks them doing it in a much more mature way
At least, as mature as a show like South Park can be.
Rather than have the victims of their cynicism be wild, screaming idiots like the earlier seasons of the shows often portrayed them as (still to a funny extent, mind you.), the movie often portray the antagonists, such as Kyle’s mom, as being so self-sure that they are completely blind to the true consequences of their actions. A perfect example of which is seen in the musical number “Blame Canada”, which has a chorus consisting of the protesting, parents chanting:
“Blame Canada
Blame Canada
We need to form a full assault
Its Canada’s fault!”
That’s another thing I failed to mention. This film is a straight up comedy-musical. Decades before they showed many their talent at catchy musical writing with their Broadway show “The Book of Mormon”, Matt Stone and Trey Parker wrote a grand total of ten original songs, preforming almost all of them as well, for a South Park movie of all things. Regardless, almost every song on the soundtrack is hilarious and ridiculously catchy, with some of my personal favourites being the before mentioned “Blame Canada”, as well as Terrance and Philip’s lead single in the movie “Uncle Fucka”, Principal Teacher Mr. Mackey’s lesson on alternatives to swearing “It’s Easy, M’kay” and Satan’s solo number “Up There”, which hilariously is the only original song on the soundtrack to have no swearing despite it being performed by the prince of darkness himself.
Despite the before mentioned accolades, there are a few gripes I have with the movie that keep it from being the almost perfect movie I feel it so desperately wanted to be. For one thing, the entire “Satan will rule the Earth upon T&P’s death” subplot only really added up to Satan standing up to Saddam and his emotional abuse he gave (again, something pretty funny for the prince of darkness to endure), and that school teacher Mr. Garrison’s hand puppet, Mr. Hat, replaces Saddam.
In fact, almost the entirety of the ending does feel very rushed.
On the night of Terrance and Philip’s broadcasted electrocution, complete with a pre-show performance by South Park resident Big Gay Al, the kids with the assistance of a small French child known as “Ze Mole”, whose accent and extreme hatred for God make him one of South Park’s best one-off characters, attempt to save the Canadian comedians, only for an ambush by the Canadian Army and a resulting firefight to result in their death, unleashing Satan, Saddam and all of Hell onto the Earth. In almost no time at all, Satan realises how Saddam has used him and casts him back to the fires of Hell, calling off his attack in the process (Oh, and Kenny’s face is finally revealed. Surprise! He looks just like all the other characters in the show except with blond hair) Sheila and the parents realise how they went too far and all is forgiven as the town reprises the opening song. All of which take place in the span of 5 – 10 minutes. Whether this was due to Stone and Parker not having any more funny material, wanting the film to conclude with the same cheeriness of the opening (hence the reprise) or just simply not knowing how else to end it aside from, well, ending it.
Regardless of an ending that could have done much more than what it did I fell, the rest of this movie is almost flawless. Some may complain about the crude, cardboard cut-out artstyle and the resulting stiffness of movement, but honestly, I think it just adds so much more the film’s crudeness. Aside from that, almost every single joke, from the recurring gags from the show to what is newly presented, had me having at very least a snort and at most uncontrollable laughter. All of which is captured by the amazingly funny music and solid performances, even from the most unlikely of celebrity cameos, such as George Clooney as the doctor trying to save Kenny’s life. This film, like the show, is definitely an acquired taste. If you’re willing to possibly have your beliefs mocked however, you just may find something in this almost perfect TV-to-movie adaptation.

Powerpuff Grils 2016 REVIEW: Part 1
So for those who are somehow unaware, the Powerpuff Girls has recently gotten a new rebooted series that premiered on Cartoon Network on April 4th 2016. People's opinions have been varied on the series, some people say it's worse that Hitler, while other people are saying that it's worse than the illegitimate lovechild of Hitler and some kind of eviler Super-Hitler. Okay, before you kill I'm obviously joking, but yeah people really REALLY hate this reboot! People are comparing it to Teen Titans Go! While I agree with some of the criticism made I feel people are being a bit...harsh on the reboot. And if you don't like the series I get it. I understand why people wouldn't like this show, it has serious problems. I'm not going to call you hater or anything if you don't like this show. I just want to give my opinion because everybody seems to have unanimously decided that this show is bad and somebody has to have the unpopular opinion. If nobody does then the majority opinion will be seen as fact, and I believe that there is always pros and cons to any piece of art. All I ask is that you don't hate me to much for having this opinion. I'll respect you and you respect me, and if you have some thoughts about the reboot leave it in the comments bellow, I would love to have a civil discussion about it. Also I will be breaking this review up into multiple parts because have a lot I want to talk about. And if you don't want to read something this long that's fine, but if you like deep analyses about a cartoon for children and watching some idiot try to be insightful and funny than strap on in and get ready, this is my Review of the 2016 Powerpuff Girls Reboot. Point One: The Talent Behind the Show. It must suck to be Craig McCracken. According to the man himself Cartoon Network did approach him to be in charge of the reboot but he declined because of him contract with Disney. Than Wander Over Yonder ends and he's out of a job and has to watch commercials for the new Powerpuff Girls show, that could of been his new job but he said no. This isn't even I joke I kind of feel bad for him. Anyway on to the point, a lot of people where angry that Craig McCracken is not in charge of the reboot, saying that without the original creator of the show the series cannot be good, as the 98' series dropped in quality according to most fans after he left the show after season four to work on Foster's. I understand this argument but I disagree with it. This show is a reboot. Now everyone has a different internal definition of what is and isn't a reboot, but to me a reboot is when you take the same characters but set the story in a new universe, while changing the details of the show to fit a new tone or style. In my opinion getting Craig McCracken back to remake his own show doesn't make much sense because he most likely wouldn't make the show that different form the 98' series. Craig McCracken may have created the girls but personally I would mind seeing some new talented artist put there own spin on the property. Powerpuff Girls has always been a franchise, remember Powerpuff Girls Z? People are getting so mad at this reboot and it's not even the only reboot. People seem to only care about who isn't working on the show in stead of focusing on who is. This show has some good people being it, such as Bob Boyle who worked on "Clarance" and created "Wow Wow Wubzy", Nick Jenning's who was an art director on "Adventure Time", and painted many of the title cards, and Julia Vickman the creator of the popular pilot "12 Forever." While Craig McCracken has criticized the show for not getting the original voice cast back, and criticized a few bad looking shots he has given this show his blessing, at least according to voice of the Mayor himself, Tom Kenny. I mean it's possible Tom Kenny was lying and Craig McCracken doesn't approve of the show but I see no reason to assume this. And speaking of the voice cast... Point Two: The Voice Cast. I'm going to be honest, I'm a little disappointed in the choice of voice cast, but not necessarily for the reasons you might think. I think they should of changed more. I was hoping for a fresh, new interpretation of the characters of the Powerpuff Girls universe, but in stead we're just getting the same voices we already got for six seasons. And if you wanted the old actors back that's fine, I understand why. The old show had an all star cast of great voice actors but for me and what I was looking for I was a little let down. What I kind of don't get though is why everybody is mad at the new voice actors when there are only a few new voices and 90% of the cast are people from the original series, but whatever. I don't mind the new voices for the girls honestly, I mean there not great but I wouldn't call them bad. Kristen Li is probably my favorite of the new voice actress, as she just has a really cute voice. Though I will admit she can't really yell very well in the Bubbles voice, which makes things kind of awkward when things are suppose to be intense or if she's suppose to be angry. Haley Mancini is a lot less whiny in her version of Princess, whether or not that's a plus or not is up to you. Jennifer Hale is now Miss Bellum and she seems about the same as Jennifer Martin, at least to me. There's a lot controversy over the original actresses for the girls not being called back to reprise there roles. While I find weird that everybody except them was called back I just don't feel like this is a big issue. They've talked about how there mad that they weren't even offered there old roles back but why should they automatically get first dibs? Just because they voiced them in the old show? They don't own the characters, and on the matter of Bubbles Tara Strong wasn't even the ORIGINAL voice, Kath Soucie was (She voiced Bubbles in the pilot, technically making her the ORIGINAL voice.) I mean just because an old cast member is still willing to reprise a role doesn't mean they always get it, and they way they seemed so angry about it on social media just seems weird to me. I mean it's not like when Ben Affleck was announced to voice Batman in "Batman v Superman" Christian Bale went on twitter was all like "Well, I didn't order a stab in the heart today!" It would be like if in the upcoming "Justice League Action" people where angry that they didn't get Adam West back to voice Batman. I mean he was the original voice of animated Batman and he still does voice acting. I don't want to be mean to these actors, as they did pretty much voice my childhood, I just really don't understand why these actors seemed to think they deserved first dibs on this show. If you wanted the old cast back I'm not bashing you at all, I would never do that. They are great voice actors, I just feel like this whole controversy was handled very unprofessionally (But what the heck do I know?) Point Three: The Animation. I want to make it clear here that I'm not going to just blindly praise everything in this show. If I did that I would lose all my credibility as a critic and I've only had that credibility for four paragraphs so far. Anyway back on point I think the animation has it's advantages and it's disadvantages. The colors are really bright and the girls are particular in this version which makes things even brighter. This is actually a flaw to the show, at least for me, because it can often come off as to bright. That being said scene at night or with special lighting makes things look really awesome! The dark colors contrast the bright colors and looks really good. It feels like the writers knows this because a lot of episodes seem to take place at night, or in the rain, or with some kind of special lighting, so they do work to there strengths. Now that being said that doesn't mean the animation is always good. If you look online you will see a lot of awkward shots of off model animation or janked up perspectives. I don't mind this two much as there usually on screen for less than a second but technically speaking it's not very good,. Granted a lot of shows have animation errors, but this series seems to have a lot more than other shows Cartoon Network out there. My theory is that it's because it's a lot of modern animators with 90's character designs and they don't know how to draw in that style as well as they would a modern style. There's also one scene where they use a live action stock photo as a background and while that is bad, especially sense it wasn't even treated like a joke it was only one joke and it was in a dream scene where things are suppose to look off. It's not like in Teen Titans Go! Where they use stock photos as backgrounds all the time, so I don't feel like it's anything to get that worked up about. The designs of the characters are pretty much the same as the old show except more circular. Bubbles has scrunches now, which I like because now there's an actual reason on why and how Bubbles has her pigtails. Buttercup has a cow lick and Blossoms bow is bigger, but those differences are so small I'm not even sure if there worth talking about in detail. I like the changes, again I wish they altered the designs more, especially with the villains. I mean look how different the characters look in each TMNT or Batman incarnation. Now the biggest problem with the animation is that for some reason the animation is really slow. I don't get why as the theme song music video has some of the most fluid animation I've ever seen in a Cartoon Network series. This slow animation really hinders the action sequences and I really hope this improves in later episodes. I mean some fight scene look good but it could definitely use some work. The impact of the punches just don't feel like they have the same amount of weight as they should and it makes the girls feel a lot less strong than in the old show. Granted this show focuses on the fight scenes a lot less than in the old series but I still think it's a pretty big problem. And that is part one of my multi-part Powerpuff Girl reboot series review. I know I haven't really talked much about the show yet but other people have been talking about these points for months and I just wanted to give my opinions on what other people have been saying. If you disagree with my point that's fine, I'm not try to convince people to agree with me, I just want to show a new view point, and show that not everyone has to like or hate something for the same reasons. I hope that even if you disagree with me you still found this review entertaining. What do you think of the new reboot? I would love to know in the comments (as long as we can keep it civil.) Part two should be up soon, where I'll talk about the show proper. Please Fav, follow and comment if you liked this review and tell me if you would want me to do more of these. Since I can do this all on my tablet it would not effect Elinor High or Joy of Crime in anyway as of right now. And if you like things like this maybe check out some episodes of my Cartoon Thought series (sorry if I may have repeated some things from my Reboot Cartoon Thought and my PPG Cartoon Thought, but I feel it was kind of inevitable.

Rambling Rant: 2017 is Off to a Great Start
2016 was a hell of a year! Everybody were at each others throats. So many celebrities have died. A gorilla died. A gay bar was shot up. Police are killing black people. Black people rioting and wanting to kill police officers (some even act on it). The Syria Refugee Crisis happened. No Man’s Sky and Mighty No. 9 scammed many gamers. DC’s movies, Batman v. Superman and Suicide Squad, are major disappointments. Marvel’s comics aren’t faring any better what with Civil War II and their treatment of the X-Men. The Powerpuff Girls reboot sucks. The Ghostbusters reboot sucks. The controversy surrounding both reboots REALLY suck. I was sent to the hospital on multiple occasions (diabetes are a bitch to have). YouTube are screwing over their users. Bojack Horseman Season Three ended on a really depressing note. This year’s election was very heated. On said election, both candidates are obvious villains with one being an orange Dennis Hopper and the other is an older Lena Headey. WE FUCKING ELECTED KING KOOPA INTO OFFICE (which, now that I think about it, is the better option than having a Lannister rule over us)! Everybody riots because they don’t like the election results. FUCKIN CLOWNS EVERYWHERE! And the final celebrity to die on this year was Carrie Fisher; one of key stars to my favorite sci-fi series as a child, Star Wars.
2016 kind of sucks
Well in spite of those negatives, there are some positives. For starter, the Deadpool movie was really great. Marvel continues to produce good films to this day. DC Rebirth fixed all the mistakes that the New 52 created back in 2012. Not all reboots suck (Voltron The Legendary Defenders, ). The Loud House debuted in that year. Also Mighty Magiswords. One Punch Man and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures aired on Toonami. Young Justice is officially announced to get a third season. Speaking of season 3, Bojack Horseman’s was really good. Supernoobs, the show made by the creators of Johnny Test, is surprisingly not bad at all. And while I have yet to seen the movies, I heard good things about Fantastic Beasts and Rogue One. Let’s not forget some of the times internet memes actually is being used for good (Hugh Mungus and Robbie Rotten, never thought memes can help save lives). So yeah there are some good things coming out of that year.
2016 was indeed a year of great controversy and strife, but 2017 can be different. We, as humans, can improve ourselves after the shitty year we went through. All we have todo is be nice to each other, treat everyone as equals instead of enemies, and not be assholes to people we don’t like. Its so simple that we should love, not hate . . . well we can forget about those plans after coming across this event I found on Know Your Memes.
http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/events/2017-chicago-kidnapping-livestream
So while browsing through Know Your Memes, I came across this event titled 2017 Chicago Kidnapping. What I read in that page was that 4 black people kidnapped and abused a mentally handicapped white man . . . what the fuck?
Worse, the site linked a video from Live Leak which shows the incident proving that it did happened . . . WHAT THE FUCK!?!
Even worse, as I can’t stress this enough, they are tormenting a mentally impaired individuals under the pretense that he is an easy target to express their rage against white people in general . . . do I need to say it again? Its clearly a fucked up thing to do as a human being.
To illustrate how disgusting it is, I would like to talk about the wrestler New Jack.
A.K.A. Huge Piece of Shit. New Jack is a hardcore wrestler known for his violent fight style and recklessness in the ring. But what separates him from other hardcore wrestlers is that he tends to legitimately hurt his opponents. Wrestling is after all a work, and most of the action in the ring are planned out; even hardcore matches (bloody and harmful as they are) makes sure that nobody die for real in them. New Jack, however, is the opposite as when he wrestles sometimes (okay a lot of times) he intends to kill somebody. Highlights of his career includes the Mass Transit Incident where he blades too deeply his opponent’s forehead, the time he stabbed a wrestler that was green nine times because the newbie doesn’t know how to sell, his shoot fight with Gypsy Joe because he does not want to do a comedy match, falling on Vic Grimmes with the intention of killing him (which was payback for Grimmes accidently falling on his head in a scaffold spot, even though Jack was to blame for not listening to Grimmes who doesn’t want to do the spot anymore), and many cases of him turning a work match into a shoot because he was pissed off. Yeah I hate the guy. The worst part is that he couldn’t even wrestle yet still finds work in the business.
Now imagine that guy, but split into four people and really pissed off at the fact Trump won. Not a good thought is it. Unlike New Jack, however, they didn’t try to legitimately kill the man. But very much like the piece of shit, they beat the man, psychologically torment him, scalp his head (which is a very New Jack thing to do) and laugh about their actions. And I’m not sure if New Jack would want to humiliate somebody by forcing them to drink out of the toilet, but I am inclined to believe that he would.
Thankfully the assholes are very stupid and posted the video of them torturing this man live on Facebook. They were all arrested for their actions. Thank God! Cause honestly if they were shot by the police like the other police shootings, I wouldn’t complain since after all THEY KNOWINGLY TORTURE A MENTALLY CHALLENGED MAN!
So they got arrested. That should be the end and couldn’t get any worse, right? If you answered yes, then you clearly failed the cynacism test and are in face wrong on that.
But first, something not entirely rage inducing, the whole #BLMKidnapping that started on Twitter in response to it. As much as I don’t like Black Live Matter, I have to say they have nothing to do with this as the criminals never stated they were a part of it. The hashtag is clearly using this controversy (yeah, I know, I will explain soon how this became one) as platform to attack the actual group is not cool. The people in the video are racists and are against Trump, but at this point have no ties to BLM whatsoever.
Now for the REAL rage inducer. The media’s reaction to this is by far the most sickening part of this shit storm: they all tried to excuse and defend the thugs’ action! I repeat: the news, Chicago police AND activists are defending the criminals who torment a defenseless person.
The defense: they are just young kids who don’t know any better and its the fault of the environment they grew up in.
For that matter, those football playing rapists at Steubenville aren’t entirely at fault; after all they are hormone driven teens who couldn’t help but fucked the shit out of that girl (who is clearly attractive btw).
And the Aurora shooter, James Holmes, should be reproach of his crime; clearly Christopher Nolan and Heath Ledger are to blame for creating the Joker character in The Dark Knight who is the warped inspiration for the shooter.
For that matter, we should also blame video games for inspiring the Colombine and Virginia Tech Massacre.
Speaking of killings, Chris Benoit did nothing wrong; it was the steroids and unprotected chair shots to blame for killing his wife and son, not him.
And the mass murder suicides in Jonestown isn’t Jim Jones’ fault; clearly its all the political opponents and US government’s fault for trying to put an end to his glorious vision which lead to the tragedy.
Let’s not forget good ol’ Adolf Hitler; he had a rough childhood and clearly the Jews were ruining his coun . . . yeah I think you get the point here.
Just because there is a reason behind their action, does not excuse them of doing it. Shit, I like Chris Benoit. He is one of my favorite wrestlers, and still is. But frankly, I can’t really pretend that my hero in his final day did not commit a heinous act that is just plain disgusting. I don’t care if its because all the trauma to the head that damage his brain, what he did is unforgivable and I blame him for killing his family.
And what the black thugs in that Facebook stream was also unforgivable, and I couldn’t believe the media are trying to make a debate out of whether or not their crime is a hate crime. For fuck sake’s, in the video they chant “Fuck White People” as they scalp, beat up, and degrade a white person. THAT is clearly a hate crime. And don’t give me that bullshit excuse on how racism is prejudice plus power; cause with that logic they have both as they were able bodied black people tormenting a mentally challenge person.
It’s not up to debate; these so called human beings are a bunch of racist sociopaths who pick on a innocent special needs man (which also makes them ableists). Fuck these niggas!
Anyway, here is the source to the Know Your Meme article I read for details on the incident: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/events/2017-chicago-kidnapping-livestream
Like the site or not, it does a pretty good job in presenting current news even though it just wants to post some dank memes.
