Heyy
You read To Kill a Mockingbird! Man, I read that in school too! But?? You had a thing for ATTICUS?? I'm very surprised because he looks a lot like Max from tlb. Dark haired and better looking, yes, but the vibes are super intense. Which is, again, surprising because I know how much you hate Max.
It's funny that you mention the white haired twink from Metal Gear because there's a guy at my brother's school who looks EERILY like him (except more lanky and andrognous) and he has a crush on my brother. And I'm just obscenely jealous.
I like your style. I like the layering of dark fabrics and the abundance of pins. I always appreciate alt style.
I don't think I like horror? I know the Lost Boys is technically horror, but it doesn't feel like it to me? It's kind of goofy and riidiculous yet serious and mysterious and threatening?? Idk it doesn't feel like a traditional horror flick. I like coralline, I love The Craft. I like spooky things, I guess.
Yeah, I don't have the patience for TV shows either. They are just being pumped out at such a fast rate that I can't keep up with, and I dont even want to. I just find a lot of modern media uninspired and stupid. I barely go to the cinema, with the most recent exceptions being Nosferatu, Beetlejuice² and Deadpool 3.
I've never had instagram, so I don't personally understand, but you should do whatever eases your mind.
Yeah, it's been ages since I've read a "proper book." The steep price of books and difficulty to find something I like has lead to an abundance of fanfiction consumption. It's just easier to fall into because I'm already attached with the characters.
I'm curious, what type of people are you attracted to? I know you like Michael and Dwayne ( so tall, pretty brunettes. Emotionally, there are no similarities because one is a fucking brat and the other... has no personality. But Dwayne is still cool and mysterious!) Oh speaking of, if you could date one of the guys from tlb, which one? And why? Also, If the first question is invasive, then I apologize.
Yeah, It would be interesting to see what you paint. If you sketch it would be cool to see that as well. But whatever you'd like to show.
NO MAX AND ATTICUS FINCH ARE SOO DIFFERENT DO NOTTT EVEN IMPLY WHAT I THINK YOU ARE 👎👎👎
i never really considered myself or my outfits alternative because i just dont really care about labels although i did one time get called emo while i was wearing a purple tie dye doors shirt??? like what??? what are you talking about?? purple tie dye doors shirt = emo apparently...
i consider the lost boys more of a horror comedy than straight up horror yk? unlike other vampire horror movies that i cannot name because i havent watched them....the lost boys doesnt really focus on the horror of it all. it spends a lot of the run time with sam and the frog brothers who are fucking ridiculous.
i actually kind of hate coraline... i have to see it everywhere and the more im forced to see a product, or media the more i start to hate it. plus i dont really consider coraline horror? its more of childrens horror i guess?? but even when i watched it as a kid i thought "thats it?? thats what my classmate was hyping up??" another movie that's TECHNICALLY horror but i never saw it that way was Gremlins like. i watched that movie when i was 5 it felt more like a muppet movie to me than horror. when i found out it was horror i was genuinely shocked because for like most of my life i saw it in the same vein i saw muppet movies.
I LOVE THE CRAFT!! oh my god its such a good movie. i hope to own it on dvd or blu ray one day. i remember nancy being my favorite character when i watched it. i need to rewatch because last time i saw it was when i wass fourteen i think? its hard to remember
EXACTLY!! a lot of tv now is just straight up boring like why would i spend 8 hours of my life on a melodramatic one season dark lit show. i actually went to the movie theatre today!! i saw gladiator 2 (did not see the first on) the last two times i went to the movies were for rereleases of movies. i was able to see both cheistine and alien in theatres. and whenever the first muppet gets rereleased for an anniversary me and my mom go to see it together i think ive seen that one twice in theatres?
well i mainly use instagram to message people (the messaging system on tumbler is so terrible) i cant really explain why it feels different to post my face on here than on instagram without sounding stupid. it just is trust me bro.
i dont really know who im attracted to tbh.. i mean most of my fictional crushes (i hate that word sm) tend to be men but my like actual real life ones tend to be women and girls. so even if i did have a like type i wouldnt be really able to tell you what it is because what i like in fictional characters doesnt really transfer to real people yk??
oh god if i could date one of them.. star. i would date star. i know you said guys but i refuse to touch those dirty mfs w a ten foot pole (you cannot tell me david and the rest of them had actually good hygiene in that damn cave) and michael while i think is gorgeous. hes a fucking dumbass. especially with how his personality shifts i am NOT dealing w half blood asshole michael fuck no. so star would be my choice.
here are some of the physical pieces ive done that im pretty proud of :D. i use acrylic paint because oil paint is the actual fucking worst thing in the world to use idc what anyone says it's awful. i woodburned the heart at the end it took me like 3 hours to do and i kept burning the shit out of my fingers but i think it was worth it. i really enjoy painting people like melting i guess?? i dont know something about it is just so much fun.
these are the two most recent digital pieces i've done. its of my fallout oc :p based basically entirely off the america rising 2 mod for fallout 4. ik you don't really know much about fallout. bur in the mod you the player are like the sole reason the enclave rises to power again and so i thought it would make sense if they like used my character for like propaganda posters. because like shes the whole reason they're even there yk? i mainly use procreate to make really stupid edits.. that last like actual piece of art i did digitally that wasn't fallout oc fanart was this
NOW i know what you may be thinking "why the fuck did you make veggietales fanart" i was compelled too genuinely i had this URGE to just make veggietales fanart and it wouldn't go away until i did it...
#the lost boys#the lost boys 1987#michael emerson#tlb#star tlb#shes the only sane one in that fucking group#art#painting#digital art#veggitales#veggietales fanart#original art#fallout oc#fallout propaganda#fallout fanart#enclave#i love my fallout oc

2020 Year in Thirst Pt. 2
Sometimes, I will watch a drama for the plot/premise/substance and be rewarded with a surprise hottie, and it’s the best feeling ever! It’s like finding money in your pocket that you didn’t know about. The following list of dramas can be described as:
Came for the plot, was rewarded with a surprising side of thirst
1. Flower of Evil
Brief Summary: Lee Jun Ki plays Baek Hee Sung and Moon Chae Won plays Cha Ji Won, his wife who is also a detective. What Ji Won doesn’t know is that her husband, Hee Sung, is actually Hyun Soo, a man on the run from a murder that he did not commit and also a suspected accomplice to a series of murders committed by his father in the past. Oh yeah, his dad secretly tried to groom him into being his protege/murder partner. Because of how he was raised, HS believes that he has no emotions and is simply putting on an act as the perfect husband and father. His “parents” are in on the ruse and are actually the ones who forced him into assuming their comatose son’s identity. Anyway, of course things from the past start to catch up with HS and his wife is somehow assigned to investigating his old murder case. She of course feels betrayed, but also conflicted as she discovers her husband is not who he said he was and a prime murder suspect. Things get even more complicated as the real murderer re-appears with fabulous long hair and tries to frame HS for the murders. In between all of this are delicious make outs between the couple and at least one instance where they banged so hard, HS was wiped out the next morning.
Surprise Thirst Factor: I checked out this drama fully expecting to drop it because the promos were so misleading and unappealing. But boy was I in for a pleasant surprise! Not only was the drama super addicting, it also had some nice eye candy in the form of Lee Jun Ki being a completely unrealistic house husband who satisfies in the housework (The man cooks and does the laundry!), childcare, and bedroom and Kim Ji Hoon’s glorious mane of beauty making viewers have a moral crisis over lusting after a homicidal maniac (who turned out to be a real loser without murder daddy around to clean up his mess. It’s ok, we’ll always have his hair).
Yes, work that hair honey. It’s the only good thing you’ve got going on for you (the character, not Kim Ji Hoon)
The chemistry between Lee Jun Ki and Moon Chae Won was fire and the make out scenes were soo believable. Like yes, these two beautiful people are really into being married to each other and understandably want to make out all the time.
He’s the primary caretaker for their daughter and it’s just *swoons.* Not all thirst traps come in the form of sexy abs (although I would not mind if he wanted to flash some).
2. Six Flying Dragons
Brief Summary: The story of young Yi Bang Won (who later becomes King Taejong) and the founding of the Joseon Dynasty. As short as it sounds, that really is an accurate summary of the drama haha.
Surprise Thirst Factor: I started watching this drama because I heard it was a great sageuk and I’m a big fan of Yoo Ah In. Even though I’m a fan of his acting, Yoo Ah In doesn’t necessarily get my hormones raging so I wasn’t expecting to be so thirsty while watching Six Flying Dragons. But then. BUT THEN. Byun Yo Han showed up in all his scruffy tortured deadly killer glory and my hormones woke up and said hi, hello, who are you, what’s your name, what’s your sign, can I get your number? The deadlier and more tortured his character got, the sexier he became to me. Sorry Yoo Ah In, you’ll always be my acting boo, but Byun Yo Han’s got my thirst. Byun Yo Han looks so good when he's sad and/or covered in blood, it makes me feel like a sadist for thinking that I wouldn’t mind if the drama made his character cry some more.
3. Ever Night S1
Brief Summary: As a child, Ning Que witnessed his entire household get massacred because of a prophecy that the child of Hades will be born from the house and bring about the Eternal Night. Somehow, he managed to escape and was the lone survivor. He finds a baby buried in a pile of dead bodies as he’s fleeing and names her Sang Sang. The two orphans grow up inseparable from each other and do whatever it takes to survive in the harsh, cruel world. Ning Que earns money by becoming a deadly mercenary and Sang Sang takes care of the household affairs. At one point, Ning Que becomes a disciple of the powerful Fu Zi and somehow gets entangled in the struggles between the Holy Sect and Demon Sect. A bunch of beautiful women fall for Ning Que, and the drama tries its hardest to convince us that he has chemistry with and reciprocates the feelings of one of them (i.e. Mo Shan Shan), but anybody who was even half paying attention knows that the only one for Ning Que is Sang Sang. They are the OTP of all OTPs and take “ride or die” to a whole other level. Oh also, their height difference is the stuff manga dreams are made of. Ning Que is a “good guy” but also not a “good guy” in the sense that he is not above doing whatever it takes to seek revenge and is only out for himself and Sang Sang (and later, his older brothers and sisters from the academy).
Surprise Thirst Factor: Chen Feiyu is an attractive person but I could not in good conscience thirst after him because he was literally born in the year 2000. It did not help that he was only 18 when he filmed Ever Night and looked every bit his age. My thirst may have no shame, but it does have its own set of principles and one of those principles is thou shalt not lust after those born in the new millennium! Luckily for me, Second Brother is played by Dylan Kuo who is a beautiful, elegant, tall man
and Brother Chao is exactly the type of rugged and manly that I am into.
(you don’t have to be)
who looks better when wet
AHEM. Yeah.
Sixth Brother is also not so bad with his scanty pounding work attire,
4. Novoland: Eagle Flag
Brief Summary: Asule is the prince of a tribe in the grasslands who is held as a royal guest (i.e. hostage) in the Eastland Empire. There he meets his two future best friends, Yu Ran, a free spirited princess who is descended from a race of bird people, and Ji Ye, an emo neglected/shunned son of a concubine who is probably the best fighter in the empire. Ji Ye loves Yu Ran who is a ball of sunshine to his Johnny Raincloud dark emo self. Yu Ran loves Ji Ye back. Asule loves both his friends and will do anything to protect them. The world decides to fuck over best friends Asule, Ji Ye, and Yu Ran for no reason as they try their best to just live a peaceful life away from all the political scheming and fighting.
Surprise Thirst-worthiness: I was completely content with enjoying Eagle Flag purely for its story and substance. It’s seriously a wonderful, yet heartbreaking drama and the scale of the production is amazing. No cheap $10 costumes here. Also, the direction is beautiful/artistic and not the run of mill “let’s shoot it and complete it as fast as we can.” The two main actors were cute, but not really my type. Then the drama decided to give Ji Ye the “Sexy Bloody Tormented Killer Makeover” and all of a sudden your girl was rushing to MDL to check Chen Ruo Xuan’s birthday and calculating his age. I am simple, predictable, and consistent when it comes to my thirst and give a character some scruff, long hair, angst, and some bloodlust and I’m all yours. I am literally:
Is it wrong that when Ji Ye showed up looking like this ready to kill his mother’s torturer
I thought, yes, can we have him kill another?
5. Run On
Brief Summary: Im Siwan plays Ki Seon Geom, a national track runner from a rich family who is a bit of an oddball and marches to his own beat. Although his words can sometimes be construed as rude since he has no filter, they are also completely honest and have no hidden meaning. He also has his own personal code that he lives by and he will stick to it no matter how negatively it may impact himself. He meets Oh Mi Joo, a translator with her own strange quirks and sparks fly as Mi Joo is assigned to be his interpreter.
Surprise Thirst-worthiness: I kind of watched this drama by accident. I had read about Im Siwan starring in a new drama but nothing I saw from the description or promos for Run On appealed to me. Nor did it give me any information about what the drama would be about. Then one day, I just happened to be browsing Netflix for something to play in the background and decided on Run on since I thought I wouldn’t be that invested. What a happy accident that turned out to be because I’m so in love with this drama right now. This is a case where the thirst does not stem from the character’s physical appearance, but from the intensity/charisma the actor brings to the character and the character himself. Ki Seon Geom is so odd, but so appealing at the same time and Im Siwan is so magnetic in the role. Prior to Run On, Im Siwan wasn’t really my type physically. In fact, I always scratched my head whenever people called him handsome in dramas (I know, I know, forgive me). So color me shocked when I found myself swooning all over Im Siwan in the second episode of Run On. Now, it’s like I have “Im Siwan is attractive” glasses on and he looks attractive in everything to me. I want to gobble up all the dramas he’s been in.

the way you are
let's talk about the struggles of being different +more
I have always felt different i always wanted to be something i'm not for example i’m black/dominican at the time all i saw were lighter characters on tv and you know white barbies but i always had at least one black barbie i never really saw characters like me who had hair like me but yeah my family is black and stuff but i wanted and wondered why my doll didn't have the same skin color as me and why no characters looked like me i started to hate my hair and wanted it straight like all the other girls and i wanted long blonde hair like other little girls i saw but i also wanted to be lighter you know but as i got older i started wanting to be lighter even more when i was around ten i got hit hard with that feeling i got called dark or too dark and it hurt but now that im older im ok with my skin color and i love it a little more but i do need to love my skin a lot more i got locks when i was 10 and i still have them 3 years later although i felt when i first got them that i didn't like them but now i love them i love my locks sure getting them twisted kinda sucks because i’m tender headed but my locks have gotten long the past 3 years i've had them i even dyed them purple but what i don’t like is when people compare my locks to viking dreadlocks because viking dreadlocks are soo different i wash my hair and my locks aren’t knots and i twist my hair viking dreadlocks are when people who aren't black dont wash there hair and dont brush it and it becomes knots in there hair that also leans into cultural appropriation and assuming but that’s another story i really don’t like like when people just touch my hair and there reasoning for it is “ it's just so different “
or “ i've never seen this type of hair” i don’t like when people touch my hair or when people ask if i wash my hair omg! yes i wash my hair just because i’m black and have locks does not mean i don’t wash my hair i wash my hair like you wash your hair i just can't wash my hair everyday because i don’t wanna lose my oils in my hair if i wash my hair everyday it will dry out my hair but i remember when i was 9 i was the line leader and this boy i still go to school with stuck his nose in my afro i had a afro for a little bit when i was 9 but he stuck his nose in my hair and said “ sniff sniff “ “ your hair smells so sniff sniff ” “good” i was in shock ok i was shocked you could see my eyes widen as i heard him sniffing my hair and the night before my mom oiled my hair lol now on a different note i use to have a big problem with my style like when i was a baby to 8 years old for as long as i can remember my mom use to always pick out my outfits and dress me up she loved it my mom loves fashion and everything to do with shoes clothes and makeup my mom has sooo much clothes and alot like alot of shoes and clothes but she does love makeup once i started to dress myself i wore a lot of flannels i mean a lot i never thought i would end up looking and having the style i have now i use to be emo when i younger then punk but when i started thinking and researching over the past 5 years i summed it up with im goth i love the music and subculture although some might say “ you can't be goth your black” well i can be goth goth has no color there’s a lot of black goth’s you don't have to be a certain skin color to be goth but yeah i got the goth stereotypes to be goth you don’t have to be sad or depressed it's all about the music and some clothing but i love dark colors not because i’m goth but because there pretty to me now how i see the gothic subculture is there’s goth, emo, alternative, scene but i love makeup and i wear makeup everyday i find it so fun hopefully i can show off my makeup looks in the future.
