jj is another silly little guy farmer but hes an actual clown. i think he might be a failed comedian or smth. hes from a co op farm with @deathianartworks n @witchkittymeow. n boy is every person on that farm . incompetent. <3 theyre a trio of three short gays with some anger issues and zero braincells and names all starting with j. so much stupid shit goes on there, im concerned for the animals tbch.

So I'm not sure if you know this but that au is based off the show/manga owari no seraph..which I noticed quite a bit of people in the tags were unaware of (nothing wrong with that ofc, I found it amusing) and though that might make it a little harder for me to explain this, I'm gonna try anyway ^^

So to build off from that post (madoka as yuuchiro and homura as mikaela), in my head sayaka would be another soldier in the demon army that madoka becomes a part of to rid their world of vampires. Role-wise she'd be like a blend of shinoa/yoichi where she's one of the first to befriend madoka and begin training together. Her ambition to be a part of this war stems from wanting to get help for kyousuke (who is sick with the virus that caused the apocolypse) and to save humanity from what the vampires have made of it. But once she finds out that kyosuke doesnt need her help (unsure on the details of that), and more importantly, how this army is exploiting other humans for their own selfish reasons, she starts to lose herself. Because of this decline, the demon she contracted with ends up taking over her body, and sayaka accepts it. She ends up becoming a demon herself, and attacking her friends. (In my head, the demons the girls contract with in this au are their witch counterparts in canon)

Now for kyoko, im not really sure yet, because I haven't figured out where to place her role-wise. She'd probably be an experienced soldier in the army when she's introduced, but I also kinda like the idea of her becoming a vampire?🤔 idk, thoughts??. We could also say her canon backstory happens way earlier on when she's super little, so she'd already be a part of this army when the apocoypse hits. Her relationships should be about the same, especially with mami who would be a previous mentor to her. Thats about all I got tho. She's the one I've put the least thought into so far but id love to hear other ppls thoughts for her. I'm really sorry if this is super confusing haha ^^;

i am LOVING louis and armands relationship and also both of their story arcs and characterizations. their dynamic is kind of the opposite of what i, and i think a lot of other people, expected but it still makes total sense and im enjoying it a lot

Seeing as ao3 will be down for a whole ten hours tomorrow (the universe made it so that i could not have my greatest ally and moral booster during these trying times) I also can clearly see that i could've gone a whole, in even the tamest of circumstances miserable day, and in these extaining ones a terrifying-- nay, horrifying day without ao3 but even more terrible is the mere idea that i could've gone, more than a week, without my dose of Ed and the crew's shenanigans...

my top ten redacted boys (because i am but a bandwagoner of trends)

1. sam - took me a bit to like him ( haven't even finished his playlist yet) but god his character hurts me, he and darlin have gone through so much shit . the video talking about the future with your vampire mate basically sealed the deal on him being my favorite character, and after reading one of the bright eyes series transcripts, it makes me even more interested in his character . (and his southern accent may or may not have awakened something in me)

2. avior - is it obvious i like tragic characters yet . his series is one of the first ones i've listened to fully, and the chokehold that the plot twist had on me was insane . the realization that he had loved starlight so much that he deus ex machina'd them out of the hellscape, and then was silently YEARNING when they were pulled back . i was sobbing you don't understand officer. also love his early sarcastic personality (despite it being a facade) and his constant need to wax poetic, i wish we still saw a little bit of that in his newer audios though

3. guy - ohh the love of my life . the only comfort character ever . babygirl . he does exude millennial cringe sometimes but i can gloss over all that because i love him  🫶🫶🫶 also love his dynamic with honey they r so cute together . his flashback audio is so good AUGGHH the tension . personal favorite audio of him though is his first sick video , because i am THE guy angst enthusiast and it's the closest i'll ever get to it . he is sooo silly idc i always binge his playlist when i can't sleep (ironically i always listen to the one where he attempts to help honey sleep and it works 🫶)

4. lasko - babygirl #2 🤞🤞🤞 love him he is just an overall sweet character . i've also said this before but, him being labelled early on as submissive irked me because i usually found those character tropes annoying and they tended to be infantilized . but the thing is with lasko its not his entire characterization , he's still a very good professor at the academy and ughhhqhh i know how 2explain it i jst love him (also. his slip up in the hot boi summer audio. he is freaky .)

5. geordi - his and cutie's story is so interesting . i love their storyline so much even if it hurts to listen to the audios . they're both flawed characters in a relationship but they're still taking the necessary steps to be better. additionally, while i definitely don't stand for the shit cutie did, i can relate to them in the sense of needing to know what people are thinking to function properly, which is probably another reason why geordi and his storyline hits so close to my heart . (is that corny. maybe)

6. asher - one of the reasons im in the fandom tbh !! he's one of the first characters i got into, specifically his valenweek flashback audio i ate that shit up . . i don't listen to him that much now but still !!! i owe me being here to his character lol

7. hush - creature/babygirl . i was kinda intimidated to listen to his playlist (for god's sake his title is "mysterious stranger") but ohhhh i love him he is so strange. tying doc up in one video and then asking them to hold his hand a few videos later??? love that . him showing up in carpe deus and fucking wrecking vega kinda sealed it for me . love theorizing about him too, if that's not obvious 🫶

8. porter - when i heard the voice that this character had. i can't even explain to you what my reaction was . he's such a fucking diva i love it so much , this guy is like 80% snark, and he just fucks with vincent for no reason .(when he said he was gonna bring treasure to the summit but didn't 😭) he's also so interesting . while ya he was sent to go to the summit and assassinate a clan king (which he succeeded in) he told sweetheart about the bennets discussing their partnership with closeknit so they could get necessary info, he provided an alibi for vincent, he also stopped grilling sam when darlin told him to . (also his 2nd video with treasure . killed me tbh)

9. marcus - not proud to admit that marcus is the first character i came across on erik's channel . marcus is weirdo number 1 (derogatory) and i just find his storyline so interesting. yeah its sad why he did what he did, but overall he knew what he was doing , he fucked everyone else over, and compromised a project, of which the failure could mean life and death, just because he wanted to get freaky with the robot . his obsession and little impulse control being overrun by the asset's obsession with him. GOD . . the satisfaction i felt when he was taken away 🫶

10. caller - weirdo (compliment) . again as a horror enthusiast i love this guy . he's like ghostface but if ghostface could phase through walls/was already in your house (and also weird and obsessive) . his audio made me have the same reaction when watching horror content : "holy shit i love this but also i hate this" 10/10 . he's only last because he has one (1) video . 💔

gavin - GAVIN LOVE OF MY LIFFEEEE . i really did wanna put him on my list but i haven't listened to the freelancer series properly yet!!!! this is not a matter of him being my least favorite but rather not knowing much about him in depth yet !!!!

- okay so i like the part before vampire culture a LOT. I like the radio effect

- VAMPIRE CULTURE UGHHH!! it gives me the afraid vibe that i think the original was going for, the screaming at the beginning really tying it all together

- also the ending verses in vampire culture can be heard a lot better than in the original! in the original i could not hear them at all (which could have just been me lmao)

- the diction is more clearer in Love Me, Normally. the words are more clear than in the original and i like that a lot

that was so much better than i thought it was going to be! i thought it was going to sound the same (i never saw the clip of WBBTA on insta because i fear i do not have insta) and there was gonna be no point in waiting for it, but i was proven wrong! my favorites are probably the suburbia edit and the 222 edit, those just really blew me away. i like some of the original songs better but this may just be because im kinda resistant to change lol. overall, it was just a really good edit and i hope to see an ICIMI one in the future ^_^

Okay NOW apparently metatron fancies himself as god/gabriel/chuck/andrew from buffy the vampire slayer and is obsessed with pop culture and wants to be god (this is a fun development) so this needs to be stopped. sure i guess. now hes committing the evil act of healing people lots and declaring himself the new god (yes this is what cas did but honestly it was so much cooler when cas did it.....not being sarcastic....it was....). ok i guess that works out. fun guy. but dear god did his character motivations switch up

Okay this is just a neat lil vent post. So the rest is just me rambling about random things.

Okay I’ve warned you and you’re still reading for some reason so uh hi. My brain’s just been a little too loud for me recently. Ah I guess I can talk about my blog lore. The reason I created this was when I was going through an existential crisis and just needed an outlet. And rambling about shows helped. So now when my mind is too loud I tuck into this tiny corner and wrap myself up in happiness. It’s sorta comforting. I’ve never been good at writing in a journal but for some reason just typing like this helps. Puts my mind at ease and lets me rant about my interests. It’s calming.

Been listening to the song alive by rose on loop for the past few days cause I need the stimulation and no other noise was working. On a side note I only found the song a few days ago as well. It’s nice. Kinda reminds me of the Christian music I heard as a kid. Side note: I grew up Christian, now though I don’t really believe but still view it as part of me. Even if I can’t believe old habits and mindsets remain. it's a comfort i miss but not one i find myself regaining. not yet anyway

on another note i get sick when im stressed. or overthinking. or both. stress now makes me physically ill so ive been trying to find ways to stop that from happening. the way it makes me ill is typically me vomiting. so now im trying out meditation. it seems to help a bit but maybe i should do it more to decreass my stress sooner then letting it build up. i guess i just need to get more used to it. calming myself. not tensing as much.

ah im compiling a list of dramas i watch with detective in the name. i love my detective dramas so i find it fun. now, not all of these i have watched yet but they match so: (^w^) hehe~ anyway: zombie detective, vampire detective, ghost detective, insect detective. so many with similar titles and i love them. my roommate is a detective is also in the list but i want to do the most similar titles first and then extend it. ah i love zombie detective so much. and vampire detective has a beautiful team who protect each other to hell and back and i am here for it. man i need to finish that show.

Honestly, Astarion sums up his part pretty well in his confession dialogue!

and then hilariously another tidbit from his final romance scene literally right before he tells you he loves you and you have sex on his grave (ignore old k'oto i havent gotten there on new k'oto yet and also the different outfits these are from two different play sessions)

basically tldr. astarion didnt really care for k'oto at all at first, it was all just manipulation in order to get him to trust him so he would keep him around and protect him since he was terrified of his master finding him (he's a vampire spawn and the only reason he has his free will up until we kill his master is because of the mind flayer parasites all the characters have, he only got away when the mind flayers kidnapped him and has been paranoid about being found since, rightfully so since we come across a monster hunter sent after him early on) so it was all just. seduction and charming! he was really kinda annoyed by k'otos whole 'good guy' thing, like 'ohhhh wow youre a hero. what good are you. nobody ever helped me or saved me. where were you when i needed you.' (obviously completely unfair, k'oto is only 28 and he was turned 200 years ago) and kind of a little bit afraid of him? sure he's shorter than him but he's also way stronger physically and has fangs and claws and strange beastly habits that really just kinda put him off for a while bc yknow. fangs hurt him once. sure this guy seems harmless but he knows better than to trust!!!

except he doesnt. because k'oto was completely unexpected in every way. he's kind and funny and genuine in a way astarion had completely forgotten was possible. he loved him so completely and so honestly the whole time. even when he told him sweet lies and was just so obviously using him he just. kept loving him!!! (k'oto voice) its not real now but someday it might be, and ill still be here when it is. when hes ready to love me back. <--------shit like That!!! the icing on the cake was coming to realize that he and k'oto had. a LOT more in common than he wouldve ever thought. particularly when it came to matters of sex and how they had trouble viewing their bodies as their own due to their circumstances and how it all made it difficult for them to say 'no' to things out of fear/obligation…the very last thing he ever expected from this dumbass catboy was to see himself 100-something years younger in him…..he just. was exactly what astarion needed…uegh!!!

k'oto was pretty much head over heels from the beginning despite the red flags. he was far from home and work where nobody would even think to offer him money for his time and would just spend it with him because they genuinely wanted to for nothing more in exchange than just their own time and company so even if he was being blatantly manipulated it was still the realest shit he'd experienced in years from probably the most attractive guy he'd ever met upto that point so it was a recipe for some good ol fashion love at first sight…or i guess. love at first knifepoint.

maybe a bit of confusion at first bc he'd never been in love before so there was probs a brief period of 'am i in love or is this just lust' until after he slept with him the first time and it didn't go away and in fact only got stronger and he was like 'ok yeah im in love actually!!!!'

Im still working on the little details for vampire ghost but he typically feeds on animal blood, he likes human blood better but doesn't wanna hurt people or accidentally turn someone

Though he's allowed to feed off of enemies sometimes (we already know the 141 are committing war crimes, Ghost gets a little treat out of it now)

Also Soap's blood is like fucking spicy and hot😭 he tried being nice by letting Ghost feed on him and then Ghost is on the floor coughing and wheezing 💀

Vampire Doctor, Vampire Teddy Bear, and Vampire Sick Girl

He is from a reoccuring dream I had as a little kid. He is an old mustaches man who is a doctor in a small town somewhere vaguely in europe. He is treating her for a sever illness. He gives her a teddy bear with a walkie talkie in it so that she can talk to him at night. He is turned into a vampire by the little girl after she is turned and he puts down his creator before going on a rampage in town.

The dream starts in the style of an oil painting. Then the TEDDY BEAR turns into a vampire and bites the girl. This turns the girl into a vampire AND changes the style of the dream to a graphic novel / comic book style illustration, conplete with text boxes. After the girls is turned she bites the dr when he comes to check on her but it backfires when he becomes too powerful and kills her and goes out to detroy the town. ... im not sure what happens to the bear or how it became sentient/a vampire in the first place. I just remembered the dr having a big grey mustache that makes him look kind in the first half and kinda like a mad scientist in the second half. So i thought that was cool enough for this competition. Also I had this exact dream SO MANY times as a kid and never as an adult.

Im glad that Marcy could grow up without having to someday die, I knew the outcome of Stakes already but I would’ve been crushed if they decided to let her be mortal instead

MEGGGGGGG! Hi! I am back with "Kate tells Meg what she is reading because she is bored and it is fun" time! I was away on vacation all last week and somehow only read one book. I had convinced myself that I would read more, and brought three books + my kindle, and then smacked myself when I didn't because I COULD HAVE PICKED UP MORE BOOKS WHILE I WAS AWAY. Tsk, let's hope I learn from this mistake this time, it's been a while since I've flown with the intent to go shopping and adventuring and not just visiting family while staying put.

BUT! Before that I finished the Audiobook of Good Omens with the show as the voice cast and I LOVED IT, and now desperately want to rewatch the show and reread the book in some sick cycle of never ending insanity. I highly recommend both !

Then, the book I read was Vampires of El Norte by Isabel Canas, and holy shit, this book is so atmospheric. I liked all the characters, and the romance was a little slow burny which I adored. Sometimes, the main couples interacts drove me a little crazy, but it was always resolved and they seem to trust each other so much that I just was kinda swoony no matter what. It was the perfect end of summer with still hot day but cool nights read, with a good mix of spooky in there too. It was really a solid 4-4.5 stars for me.

Now, I am reading the Missing of Clairedelune by Christelle Dabos and I hope I have the motivation to finish the Mirror Visitor series, because these books just capture my attention so much. The world building is incredible, and yeah, it can be clunky sometimes, but I feel like it works really well with our main protagionst and narrator. Also, a slow burn over a series??? sign me the FUCK UP. While working, I am listening to the Collected Regrets of Clover by Mikki Brammer and I like it so far, it's interesting. I like the concept, and Clover is a good narrator, but literally only like 10% into it, so we will see how it goes. I feel good!

THIS IS SUCH A TREAT OMG also also I love how we both enjoyed some Neil gaiman work recently!! I reread the ocean at the end of the lane and I'm still blown away by how good it was. Of course Elena knows has been another top read this month and im looking forward to more cozy/spooky fall themed books in October!!! (also set a book buying limit for the next few months!! No more than 8 books 😉)
