🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

This is a tough one because I feel like there are definitely some common trends but I can't think of a lot of specific ones. People who've read my fics probably have a better idea that I do. I think most often I use imagery of the stars or water. I'm always talking about hand placement or eye contact (almost to my detriment like girl you do not have to be so specific). Common themes? Maybe the Machiavellian mentality of "at any cost" idk if I've done that a lot recently but it's something I tend to gravitate to.

🦅 Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?

It depends. My fics always start out as one particular scene or vibe I see in my head, and I start writing without an outline. If the fic can't be written all in one sitting so to speak, then I perseverate on that idea and storyboard it in my head during my free time and if I'm afraid I might forget a point or a line I hurry and write it down but it's not a strict outline, and it only happens for my longer fics. Crow Song has 20 google docs devoted to it because there are just fragments of different scenes all over the place.

omg hey! i finally caved and bought eleven labs to make my own ellie audios and i still cannot get it to sound like her 😭 how did you get it so stop on?? love the fics btw i literally need them injected into my bloodstream <33

honestly i feel like my ellie doesn’t sound that good ????? like sometimes she sounds okay but it really is trial and error w her voice (with abby’s it’s much easier for some reason)

make sure to get very clear soundbites, try and take ones with very minimal background noise (ellie voicelines on youtube is a good sample), and mostly just play with the settings. it’s SO hard though
