So, a couple years ago I witnessed an incident happen in a discord server in the fandom and the owner ended up deleting the server in a panic. There was something about the way the whole thing was handled by all the mods involved that never sat right with me. I hope I'm not the only one who thinks that.
Like, as someone who was close to the owner at the time, it was clear that they needed breaks from running it, but all but a couple of the substitute mods (one took over one time and another took over later on) seemed to not be involved as much, to my memory. Only one substitute mod at a time seemed to address any rulebreaking and one didn't seem to have gotten involved at all.
Not only that, but accusations toward the owner by one of the other mods happened and both of their explanations of the events that happened just didn't add up to one another and it was just so confusing.
I wish this whole thing never happened, multiple people that weren't involved were negatively affected by the whole thing, I know the initial public venting in the server threw me for a loop when it happened. Made me nervous and all.
I'm still kind of afraid of 100% speaking up about the whole thing in detail beyond this, this is just from my memory and what I've heard. The whole situation just made me very uncomfortable is all.
Honestly, it ended up being one more reason why I decided to stay away from this fandom, there were other incidents I've witnessed that lead to me staying away from the tags, but this one was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.

A Notice On Aleph One, And The Marathon Community
I'd normally wouldn't exactly be sharing this kind of content, but seeing as Marathon is my Number One Spot of Brainrot, and most people who have played these games in recent years are likely just on Tumblr/Twitter/their own Discord servers and not the official Aleph One Discord, the following events are basically unknown to the majority of people. So, to better archive them than to let them get lost in time.
Firstly, I should establish the main players of for the redaction:
Aaron Freed: co-director & one of many composers and general maker of Stuff for Eternal, composer and level designer for the (as of writing this) the in-works Tempus Irae Redux, alongside his work on the currently still unreleased Chronicles and Where Monsters Are In Dreams, owner of the Marathon Vidmaster Challenge Youtube channel and dozens of compositions, Marathon-related or otherwise. He is, likely alongside Adminn_1 (aka NEFX) andn Hamish (owner of the Marathon Story Page), one of the most prolific creators for Marathon.
Gregory Smith, aka Treellama: the head programmer for the Aleph One project, as well as maker of Weland (map creator), ShapeFusion (modification of logic and physics files for Marathon) and Atque (a merger and splitter for Marathon scenarios). His work, overall, has helped the community a great deal, from modernised modding tools to supporting Aleph One and expanding the Marathon engine with every update.
Solra Bizna (or just Solra): another developer for Aleph One, most notable for having helped create a proof-of-concept code to showcase how Aleph One could run at 60FPS and more, which would eventually be expanded to the current FPS settings that Aleph One now has. He has also worked on a variety of parts of Aleph One, such as Lua overlays and netscripts, all important to current functions for modern Marathon scenarios.
So, What Happened?
On the 29th of May, Solra publicly announced his departure of the Marathon Discord server, explaining that due to unexplained blockage from the Aleph One team towards Aaron's PR (pull request; a way of proposing changes made made in a fork of the original source code that could be added to the original code), with no real explanation given beyond that "treellama finds [Aaron] irritating", he feels his energy put on fixing this have been wasted, and retires to work on his lonesome.
While some buzz would be made from this departure, nothing of note would be said until the 4th of June, where Aaron would expand on the details of the situation.
This thread, still available in the Marathon Discord, would go on details about events that led to Solra leaving. In short: Aaron had been under Solra's tutelage on programming (something that has been public as around 2022-2023), with the idea that, as she explained in his departure, he would contribute in his stead and give Aaron a chance to contribute to one of his greatest contributions. However, attempts to do such a thing would be stopped by the AO team with no real reason, and any attempts to gain an understanding as to why would be stonewalled. The only real reason given is, according to treellama in a ticket request, "unresolvable personality conflicts".
Alongside this, Aaron himself would bring up a few notes in relation to Aleph One, one of which is the very reason I'm writing this post (outside of the conclusion at the end):
For context in regards to the reaction: INTERPOLATED_WORLD.cpp is what currently allows Marathon to run at FPSes higher than 20. Aaron's reaction come specifically from the (still current as of me writing this) credits of the file, which note very specifically at the start Gregory Smith (treellama). The issue raised here by Aaron is that that code was originally started by Solra as a proof-of-concept (which can be visualised here), which would then be reiterated by Treellama throughout—something he tries to use as a sort of gotcha on Aaron, as he shows that, at most, only 15-to-40 lines of code, or 17% of it, is still Solra's.
I'm unable to find when exactly the credits were added as I suck working with Github, but if a smarter person can find it, I'll be holy appreciative.
Now, to interject with my own opinion on this: no matter if there's one line, three or half in the current code that are still part of the proof-of-concept, Solra should still be correctly credited; that, or use the generic "Credits: Aleph One Team". The immediate use of Treellama's real name makes it seem to anyone who doesn't know any better that he himself made it in collaboration with the AO team, which is objectively not true. He did try and present a solution to this, which just amounted to "if Solra is bothered by this, he should reach out", which is absolutely not what should happen. Properly crediting people, no matter in what way, should be done automatically, instead of awaiting for someone to make a fuss about it. It makes you look like you don't actually care to fix things or change them. Just do it. No need to pull out statistics of how much is yours vs. Solra's. It's a waste of time.
Sadly, this is the last post made in the thread before the moderators closed it down. After this, Aaron would more or less abandon all activity in the Discord server, still working on other projects such as TIR, and is now used by other high profile creators like cassis (Liver and Onions), hypersleep (Apotheosis X) and Ryoko (Phoenix), who all shared their own sets of issues with Aaron on the thread, as a punching bag quite publicly on the Marathon Discord server.
So, What's There To Do Now?
In the most immediate, wait for the proper launch of Aleph Bet (link here), a fork of Aleph One which Aaron, Solra and a few others are working on, and show your support by downloading it. Use death of the author if you wish on ApoX and Phoenix, or never play them, or whatever. Do what you feel is necessary to show your discontent towards this behaviour from the lead developer for Aleph One. But don't cross the boundaries of insults or death threats. That is unnecessary and entirely stupid. Be better than that.

I've been around the Discord block for a few years, so here's a non-exhaustive list of red flags for Discord servers.
keep in mind that, just like in dating, a red flag is not necessarily the only deciding factor on whether you should leave the server. Your own judgement is key.
a "no disrespecting mods" rule. A rule stating that you can't argue with mods' decisions is fair enough, but if the rule states that the offending action is "disrespect", the mods are more than likely not great people and want to develop a cultlike server.
a huge age range. Sometimes this can be good, but other times this can be bad. This one is more down to your own judgement.
members under 13. If the server is willing to break ToS in one way, they are likely willing to break it in other ways, too.
the OWNER is under 13. Get out of there as quickly as possible.
a notable number of members hold political views that are opposite to yours. You're going to have a really bad time and be a really big problem in their lives.
a high number of schizoposters and shitposters. Unless you're one of them, they generally make things worse for everyone.
a lot of arguments and drama. This seems obvious, but it can be easy to overlook if you've already formed an emotional attachment to the server members.
there's a "problem" member who hasn't been removed. If the majority or all of the other members dislike or fear this member, but the mods won't remove them (or if they are a mod), they are just going to continue their behaviour unchecked.
open NSFW channels. These channels should be marked as NSFW through the server settings. If they aren't, and there are minors who can access them, even if they currently aren't, that's not great.
It has a trigger list with 100 or more entries. This tends to be extremely mentally taxing.
it has under 30-50 members and has no trigger list. Sometimes this can be fine, as servers run by cis men usually don't include trigger lists, but if a server is actively refusing to add one, that's no good.
the mods refuse to add pluralkit. Staying in a server in which I was openly a system but the mods repeatedly refused my requests to add pluralkit was one of the worst mistakes of my life.
slurs are openly allowed to be said by those who can't reclaim them. Servers where slurs are allowed to be said by those who can reclaim them are usually fine, but if members are allowed and encouraged to use ones that they can't, even as a joke, that's a breeding ground for all sorts of nasty shit.
breaking of rules goes unpunished. If you or someone else, even a mod, breaks a rule and doesn't receive a warning or punishment, that's a sign that the rules are empty promises. This is usually because the mods are very empathetic and gentle and feel bad about enforcing them, but members can wreak havoc if they're not reigned in by anything.
there is a trigger list, but some members don't add their triggers. If a server has a trigger list, but there are some members who expect others to keep up with triggers that aren't stated anywhere for new users, pandemonium will ensue.
using tone tags is shunned. If you're shunned or made fun of for using tone tags, the other server members are dickheads.
the server has over 1000 members. Not necessarily a bad thing, but keep your guard up until you're comfortable.
the mods or members are often passive-aggressive. They will make everything difficult for you.
the server has over 100 members and includes a vent channel. If members are encouraged to essentially tell their problems to the town, that can also be pandemonium.
members communicate almost exclusively through VC, but still expect non participants to keep up with what's going on. you're going to be lost and confused and there will be a lot of anger on both sides.
there is no vent channel and members vent about serious topics in the general chats. I will admit I was guilty of this when I was 14. But in that scenario, I was the problem. It is usually 14 year olds doing that, too.

“dSmP fAiLEd bC dReAm diDn’T knOw hoW tO rUn hiS oWn sErVer 🤓☝️”
qsmp was made for the purpose of becoming big and popular. the dsmp was not - and it was never meant to be as big as it was. dream made that server so he and his friends can hang out in minecraft
unlike quackity, dream never had a whole team to help him run the server. he didn’t have a bunch of mods, he didn’t have fans sign up to promote the server for him, he only had himself and callahan. dream didn’t have a team for content at all period. no editor no thumbnail artist - it was all himself. he was editing his and the dream team’s videos up until last year.
also unlike quackity with the qsmp, the dsmp was NEVER dream’s number one priority. he had manhunt, other youtube videos, the dream team’s videos (to conceptualize, code, and edit, mind you.), a merch company to run, george’s visa application, music, mcc, etc.
the dsmp failed for the same reason usmp never got to start: harassment and hate from other ccs’ communities. need i remind you of the “drop dream” and “boycott dsmp” hashtags? the threats to him, his friends, and his family? dream himself said it’s the biggest reason why. the people faulting him for ending the dsmp are the same people who pushed him to do so.
another reason dsmp failed is because of loreheads and freak stans who would cry and whine about every single artifact and mob on that server - further demotivating old and new members to play
most members of the dsmp also had other content to prioritize, such as irl content. dream is not the sole cause of everything that happened on the dsmp. (it’s also just funny how back in 2021, lore got pushed back so hard cause lockdown was being lifted and dream did not complain a single time. but once dream had face revealed, got 10 times busier, had been traveling, had internet issues at home, and had JUST MET his best friend of 7 years for the first time, people [ccs and fans alike] suddenly wanna cry about lack of communication 🤷♀️)
dream actually does know how to manage a server, despite *certain* people’s negative biases. he was involved in a lot of the lore writing, especially with wilbur and tommy (another instance: he agreed to be involved in ranboo’s lore out of the blue, even while he was doing his main arc with tommy - and if you were actually there, you’d remember it went really well). he used to hold meetings with other members to discuss lore. it has been mentioned before that dream would hold open forums and discuss terms of the server which had always ended in agreement. he also set specific and fair rules - which i’m sure everyone forgot about - and was unbiased about it (ex. punishing george for tping to where he died to get his stuff despite being his best friend). he also catered to other members’ needs (coding ranboo’s enderman powers, giving hannah her elytra back after it was stolen and destroyed, giving foolish his immortal powers). there’s so much more to say here but you get the gist: dream is a natural born leader and it showed while he was running the dsmp
dream actually already had prior experience when it came to running servers. he was literally the co-owner and a developer of munchymc. if you read that reddit comment from velvet complimenting dream on how well he handled issues in munchy, then ikyk
you can insult dream about a lot of things (i'm lying, you can't actually), but to diminish his work ethic and skill in general is what pisses me off the most - cause i have never seen a public figure this dedicated to his job no matter what hurdles are thrown at him. he has done almost everything by himself with minimal help - and did so with grace. he’s never complained about being swamped with work, is always open to *constructive* criticism, and most importantly of all, he has never, ever, shit on someone else to earn his spot on the top.
#dont mind me just being a dream defender#im glad no one gets to see this cause i wouldve gotten my ip leaked#anyway#like dream im also not that kind of person to shit talk other people so i'll let life and fate run its course.#all i know is that dream gets the last laugh

My response to Bons post
So I made a "side blog" to make sure this gets seen, it seems to have been removed from their post that I reblogged.
There is a lot to unpack here, first off the incident with your server, I've already admit to multiple times that I was in the middle of a mental break down when the incident with Hades happened. That it was my fault, I spoke more at length about this with "my best friend" because we talked more, but I was actively suicidal. I apologized to both you and her.
"Blaming you" for my server falling apart, I never said a word to you about it until you came on my server complaining about someone making a server from your server and all the activity on yours dying, and then I pointed out that's what you did on my server. You specifically have a rule about not making new servers from your server now because of this. And I more blamed it on the death of our VA project.
I did the night the server was made go to mu friend because I was having a panic attack associating it with the shit Hickory did. *Beacsue we were friends* I never asked them to delete the server or not continue with the project.
Nothing I ever said was meant as a guilt trip to you, I remember specifically telling you that you'd done nothing wrong.
Now as for me joining yours, I never really wanted to, but did anyway because I didn't want to disappoint my friend. They put a lot of pressure on me, and after I snapped I was clearer with my feelings, Something they said they wanted.
Even later tho when they tried to blame themselves for the incident I took 100% responsibility. I did have some bad medication, and it had me really screwed up mentally and physically. I communicated all of this to both of you. Also I don't ever remember asking for Lee to be kicked, I'll go back over our dms and make sure, but I specifically remember venting to them because they were an owner and my friend. I may be wrong tho I was not myself during that time and actively suicidal (said friend actually asked me what my plan was tho, so that was nice)
Yeah my behavior on your server was shit, that's part of why I never attempted to go back even after I got my medication straight. I've already apologized to you both over the incident I'm not sure what else you want from me there. If you still had issue with me after that you could have come to me instead of pulling this
The incident with Hickory, no it was another not proud moment of mine, she had me so on edge I was afraid to talk on my own server, this is the time period my friend and I started talking more in DMs. Yeah I blew up, but I'd found I'd been lied to, and had people going behind my back, purposely keeping secrets from me. and again I'd apologized for my explosive reaction. Hickory did a lot of damage but I at first didn't talk about her at all. I never attempted to "turn everyone against her" we had a night where we mutually vented about the situation. I didn’t go out warning people away from her, she was gone and I just wanted to move on. It's nothing like what you're attempting to do to me now. And like you noted, I tried to reach out to her to talk things out, before things got bad.
As for your issues with me and joining in on HC discussions on the server, I was sharing my opinions just the same as you guys were. I never silenced anyone, I could have just kicked people I disagreed with. in fact one incident got out of hand because I didn't want to just kick them. If me disagreeing with your head.canon is enough to make you not want to use it, then I'm sorry but maybe you put to much stock into my opinion. That was one of the issues I had with Hickory, she sought me out as a source of validation and I couldn't be that for her.
As for the incident of running someone off the server, again yes I argued with them, but Hickory is the one that was super aggressive. I should have acted sooner and removed her as a mod but I didn't because she had me afraid. But ultimately the person ran off had devolved into personal attacks rather than debating the characters merit and that was major no no.
Its also part of the reason I removed you as a mod, which by the way I was hesitant to do anyway, because you were a minor, but our friend talked me into it. I didn't want a repeat of regretting how things went with Hickory.
As for the incident with Jamil and Kalim’s recolor, I made that comment, because they seemed to be going for more Canon accurate not just looking to make them darker for dark skin Arab rep. Because that card was ridiculous.
As for the comment about the weird HC with 500, I never specifically said what it was. and it was in comparison to the like 20 notes my friend had gotten on a gorgeous peice of artwork. I also was trash talking the memes I made that got a lot of notes. I think you're really trying hard here with that one.
As for my thoughts of trans Cater, there was a reason I never wrote it, I admitted it was a bad idea. I wasn't Trans and couldn't represent it properly. And I wasn't adding trauma, the stuff with his sisters is written into his character.
As for my thoughts on race swapping in general, my argument was that it wasn’t right to yell at someone who may draw say Leona a little lighter because they identify with him, and wanted him to look more like them, and yet turn around and race sawp another character. I personally also prefer characters as the races they are presented in game, but expressed that was a personal preference. My major issue was the ",It's okay when I do it, but not when they do it" mentality.
As for the Vampire thing I'm very confused, there wasn't much of anything said after the earlier raid, and when you left. I never called anyone a vampire (and why would I use that degotory I like vampires, I made Cater one?) and I would never dismiss someone's fight with cancer. Cancer sucks, I've lost a lot of people in my life to it.
I think that was most of the major points, and again I don't know why you let any of this go on so long rather than talking with me. You never said a word about how you felt, when I'd been honest with mine.
Addon: Being upset about the Riddles mom is Cater’s doctor thing is so weird. I said that cuz I'd made their mother's friends because rich and powerful women, had nothing to do with them being in the same country. You forget *mirror travel* exists .

I say this as someone who’s officially thirty years old and has been working in the service industry nearly my entire adult life, I truly do not understand some people.
We have our hours printed on our front door and yesterday when opening the bar saw people try to open the door and glare at me an hour before we open with the air of, “Well?? Are you going to feed me or not??” air when. We don’t open until an hour later. It is printed on our front door.
We’re a small, independent restaurant that makes pretty good money but at the end of the week (for us that’s Sunday as we’re closed on Monday) we sometimes run out of things and it’s less of a sunk cost if we try to cover it, also most of our vegetables and proteins come from Pennsylvania where our owner has a farm/has his connections so if he doesn’t have it on his truck that means we don’t have it. We ran out of chicken breast at dinner service and a woman first called to order a kid’s item order of chicken breast with fries then when one of our servers let her know that unfortunately we ran out of chicken breast came in, shouted, “Are you kidding?!” at me when I confirmed that we had run out of chicken breast and no, I was not the manager, and then the MOD spoke to her and she talked about how heartbroken and betrayed she was that we didn’t have the Kid’s chicken breast option tonight. I am not kidding. Also a lot of people who were the worst. I think it’s because daylight lasts longer people forget that we close a little early on Sundays. I had people come in and settle down for well-done steaks at the bar four minutes before closing and getting offended by our hours. That are on our website and printed on our front door.
#service industry#bartending#my drink is selling gangbusters tho not gonna lie pretty proud of myself for that

Last Life: For Fans Server
I’m proud to announce I’m opening a Last Life server for fans!
Last Life: For Fans, or LLFF for short, will follow the same premise as the original server. It will implement the random lives system, the boogeyman mechanics, and /givelife commands.
I am looking for 10-20 applicants, 18 years or older, preferably North American residents (due to server ping), with a Minecraft: Java Edition account to join the server.
APPLY HERE.
I recommend reading this entire post before applying.
As a university student, with two jobs and a full class schedule, I rarely get the chance to engage with others about one of my favorite games, Minecraft. As a fan of Last Life and general MCYT, I thought it would be really cool to create and run a server for folks like me - those who may not have the time to play or watch Minecraft everyday, but want to connect with other fans and make new connections.
The server will be run similarly to how the OG Last Life server is run - it will only be open during a certain day and time, from 2-6 hours, and we will ask that all players hop on then to progress the game and have some fun. Once members are chosen, we will figure out a time that works best for everyone to play.
You do not need to be a diehard fan of the series to apply. However, I do ask that applicants are actual fans of Last Life and only apply that can dedicate 2-6 hours of their week to the server.
If you’re interested, please apply here: https://forms.gle/BhRKDcofBU5cfaaM8
Common Concerns/Questions
What are you looking for in applicants? Are there requirements to apply?
You must be 18 years or older.
You must own a Minecraft: Java Edition account.
You must have a decent* mic and be comfortable talking in VC. Communication is important and generally can make playing more fun and engaging. (*Decent means anyone listening should be able to hear your voice clearly and easily without background noises or buzzing.)
You must have a Discord account.
I am generally looking for people who have good sportsmanship, love Minecraft and want to have some fun. :)
Why do you have to be 18 years or older to apply?
Mainly because I want to connect with older fans of Last Life. I think it’s harder for those folks to connect with others with similar interests and backgrounds IRL. I’m hoping that this requirement can help garner the attention of the more mature fanbase, who are also passionate about Minecraft, but just don’t have the time to play it 24/7.
Do you have to be a content creator or be able to record footage to join?
NO! In fact, I recommend not creating video content from anything that happens on the server, due to the fact this is a very similar, if not a straight up copy of the OG Last Life server. Like previously stated, this is for the community to have fun and create connections. :)
Why create a fan server in the style of Last Life?
I really like Last Life in the sense that it’s not a traditional vanilla server. With a Last Life style gamemode, there’s no pressure in making giant or impressive builds, but rather focuses on camaraderie, partnerships, and communication. There is also a beginning and end to the server, whereas in vanilla smp’s, new players are often left behind until a new season or restart happens - some players cannot afford to play everyday and grind, and that’s the appealing point of LLFF. With a set schedule that works with everyone, I’m hoping LLFF can become a way for older fans to connect and have fun without being left behind like in larger public vanilla servers.
Who’s managing the server? What plugins are you using?
You can call me Yonbon (They/Them) - I’m the server owner and admin. :) I am running the server on Paper Spigot Java 1.17.1 and I am using the fan-made Last Life server plugin developed by Xcalibur8, along with general performance plugins as well as the Simple Voice Chat Mod (Proximity Chat).
You can find Xcalibur8’s plugin here. I highly recommend donating to them for creating it.
If you have any questions or comments, let me know in the asks!
Applications are due November 14th, 2021 at 11:59pm, PST.
Thank you, and goodluck!

Hello, Azurith. @phoenixfyrelight
I’m sick and tired of your bullshit and so I’m going off block for now. Block me all you like afterwards, I don’t care. I’m blocking you again afterwards anyways. You want to play the victim, hm? Want to claim you’re the one being harassed and attacked? Let’s review some situations, then.
The fandub server incident.
My mod team and I on our server trusted you enough to become a mod on there. Why? To help out YOUR server, which you said is because we “took all your members and left everything quiet” over in yours. Let’s count the amount of members we had from your server before you deleted your Discord Server. Me, my two co-owners, and my best friend. That is four people in total out of what was almost 40 at the time. You made my friend and your supposed “best friend” and I feel guilty because your server is dying out. Do you want to know the average lifespan of a fan server, Azurith? Less than a year. All servers die eventually and blaming a 17 year old and your best friend is not a way to feel better.
Our server is not a server to “spite” you, we wanted to make a fandub. A FANDUB. Do you know why? Not to kill your server, but because we are passionate in our voice acting hobby. We allowed you on the team because we believed it would repair our relationship with you and bring activity to your server. You allowed me as a mod on *your* server because we had mutual trust at that time.
So let’s skip to the time you become a mod on our server. First day in and we get the ever-present “Trey is abusive” speech. You tell one of my server members they’re untrustworthy because they like Trey and won’t listen to anyone else’s side because you think your reading comprehension is so superior to high-schoolers. I get my friend in to diffuse the situation because apparently you are unable to read the room and notice tensions were high. My mod team was getting angry, my co-owners were offline, and I needed to go take my English final.
My friend never told you to shut up specifically. She told everyone to shut the conversation down and tried to change the subject to a lighthearted one. It was great, everyone moved on and talked about different conversations, except you. You felt personally attacked by my friend shutting the conversation down with OWNER APPROVAL and ran to your “best friend” to BAN THEM. They didn’t scream at you, they didn’t harass you, they didn’t even participate in the original conversation. That is not a bannable offense, Azurith.
After I finished my finals for the day and you reveled in your superiority that everyone was on your side, I was bothered by how the situation was handled (the member got a warning that was quickly appealed because NO ONE was aware of the warning but you and my co-owner) and made the announcement in my mod chat on improvements to our mod team. I typed out a long paragraph explaining how we should handle similar situations in the future and explained how maybe you should apologize to my friend as they did to you. Oh yes, I can’t forget that you demanded a PUBLIC apology from them for something they did not do and then refused to do the same. You weren’t justified an apology and they deserved one from you.
Back to the topic: I typed out my long paragraph for everyone to view regarding mod procedures and time-sensitive warnings and you did not even read most of it. All you saw was “I believe Az should apologize to (server member) as she did her.” And threw a hissy fit. Without sending screenshots to protect the rest of my mod team, let me type out what you have said in that situation.
“I am not apologizing to (server member), I do not feel like I was out of line to be upset about how they handled it, I will apologize for not making it clear I was speaking as just Azurith and not a mod.”
-That last part is a blatant lie. Why would you run to my co-owner (who by the way was asleep at the time you bombarded them with messages), begging them to ban my server member if you were speaking as “just Azurith?”
“If you actually feel what we were discussing before Lee showed up was heated, I greatly disagree and perhaps I should leave.”
-This approach to disagreements is why so many people were frustrated at how you act. It’s an approach of “if you don’t think I’m right then I’m perhaps the bad guy here and you don’t want me around”. It’s guiltrippy.
“They showed up and shouted about what we were discussing and we’re wrong *before* you gave them permission to change subjects and honestly they should have just been told to mute chat”
-Yes, the server member said “All y’all wrong”, but can you not tell it was in a joking matter? That they were very clearly trying to change the conversation? You don’t know when I told them to change the subject, Azurith. As soon as you mentioned to one of my other members that they are untrustworthy because they like Trey I told them to step in. If you read through the conversation instead of going on your usual anti-Trey sentiment, you would have seen that I *did* tell them to mute chat.
“But saying the conversation before was heated is laughable it means no discussions where people disagree about ships and characters can take place”
-…what in the fuck did this have to do with anything? My server is one of the most calm and discussion-oriented servers I’ve ever been in and in fact because of the new rule implemented because of your actions, our discussions of characters and ships we do not like have been without incident and no one leaves with harsh feelings. I don’t understand how my mod team telling you that a conversation was heated equates to the recommend of your right to shit on Trey Clover.
“You were in it Bon, it was not tense. Or heated and 90% of the time of what *I* said was questions I was asked into straight from the game. If this is the right way you think to handle the situation then I’m sorry. But I wholly disagree. People with differing opinions should not be silenced. I’ve hit my tongue a lot when things I disagree with are mentioned”
-No you don’t. Multiple incidents on your server have proven that if someone has a headcanon you disagree with you will outright say that it is not possible. You’ll take facts straight from the game instead of acknowledging that hey, some people just want to have headcanons that aren’t canon-compliant. You were never silenced, you could have easily brought the conversation back up in a manner that was appropriate and not bashing on one singular character— which by the way MULTIPLE people in that server have as their favorite character. Do you think people did that on your server, bash Cater into oblivion? No, we respected your headcanons and analysis of your favorite and went on with our day. I was not a part of the fight, at least not during a majority of it. I left halfway in to take my final. Do you realize how stressful finals are when dealing with a 39 year old woman who just can’t seem to respect that some people like Trey?
“I know 90% of you are HS kids but this is nothing, and part of the reason people can’t discuss real topics is they get upset just cuz someone disagrees with them over a character”
This next bit is from the same chunk of messages, but I will add that I mentioned that I disagreed with you and will wait for the rest of my mod team to analyze the situation further.
“Well if that’s the case I will ask you to step down from my server. And I’ll depart now, please delete the dark mirror bits from your server”
-Absolutely wild that you brought age into this, Azurith. Especially knowing that my server members who are decades younger than you are much more mature. You were disagreeing with high-school students and claiming you were being silenced. My server members disagreed with your analysis of Trey and yet you pressed on, unable to comprehend that not everyone is going to fall for your “Trey is abusive” bullshit. You can disagree with people, no one ever said you couldn’t, but you and the server got into a too-heated debate and if things didn’t calm down we likely would have seen a larger argument take place. The fact that because we disagreed on one situation you took it upon yourself to leave the server and remove moderation privileges from me on yours seems entirely childish. Your apology afterwards, explaining you were “uncomfortable” with me being a mod if we were to disagree on a situation like that is ridiculous. We tried helping you grow your server and what you did on your first day as a MODERATOR in a server you claimed was “making yours inactive” is inappropriate and childish.
I am a type of person that is willing to change my mind in order to seek a middle ground but you refused to listen. Your apology was forgiven by me at the time because I believed we could potentially repair relations, but looking back at it now it’s ridiculous how you interacted with my server.
Now let’s look at another incident, hm?
Let’s look at the incident that started your server’s downfall:
The HickoryDaisy incident
I will never excuse Hickorys actions, especially pertaining to how she treated me, but this rant is not about me or my experience with Hickory. It’s about *you* and how you made your server into one full of fear.
Let me copy and paste my essay summarizing the incident I so generously shared with Child-O-Hades:
“HickoryDaisy was a member of a discord server I am in. They were one of the first people to join the server and clicked with everyone immediately. However, as the server got more active they grew more and more toxic. The server owner invited a new person onto the server one day and them and the owner became quick friends. Hickory did not like that the server owner turned their attention towards their friends and became resentful over this new person. Eventually hickory became a mod and began abusing this power how they saw fit, threatening to kick members over discord statuses and mentioning often that they could mute anyone on the server if they so pleased.
I was their beta. I read all of their Fics from August 2022 to March 2023, in it they sent me Fics dealing with sexual cannibalism, forced cannibalism, and content that should not have been sent to a minor to review. In hindsight, I should have told them my boundaries but they shouldn’t be sending sexual stories to someone they knew was a minor.
Eventually all of hickory’s comments on the server became about them either complaining about something or sharing every 100 words of their Ensemble Stars x Skullgirls x Twisted Wonderland crossover wherever chat seemed to be active. It grew to the point where they would interrupt whole conversations to share their snippets and get mad when people (especially the server owner) did not comment on every single one. The owner confronted them one day and told them that they wouldn’t comment on the crossovers because 1) they sent it while they were excitedly talking about their novel with their friend and 2) they yelled at the owner in DMs about not giving them attention on their snippets.
Hickory snapped and made their own discord and invited all of their “friends” to join that server. They invited everyone except for the server owner. They went dead silent on the owner’s server, refusing to speak to them there. The owner was concerned and reached out to them, to which they lied and said they were merely busy with their grad school homework. In hickory’s own server they sent crossover snippets and complained about the server owner. They involved many of the minors of the server into their beef with the server owner, trying to force us to take their side and victimizing themself and making the server owner seem like the bad guy. Eventually all of us left their server and stayed on the original server with the exception of Hickory, who got banned.
The banning of HickoryDaisy from the server left everyone quiet and tensions rise until we finally decided to talk things out. Word has gotten out that Hickory threatened members with bans and kicks without the owner’s consent. They’ve belittled the server owner’s friend, saying that they were not a good writer and they would never write well. They’ve made almost every active server member uncomfortable and even made some members (including myself) avoid the server at any time that they were active. They’ve brought negativity and hate into the server and permanently changed almost every member that associated themself with them.
I, the server owner, and many more have experienced panic attacks, nightmares, and horrible memories due to the actions of HickoryDaisy and while I would have said they were my friend a mere few months ago, I will no longer associate with them or their works ever again. “
After this incident you complained and turned everyone against Hickory just as we’re apparently doing to you now. Do you know why we never heard from Hickory again after you banned for for wanting to start a new server? Because they moved on and rebranded their name from the horrible experiences that they had on your server. After you banned Hickory, everyone was afraid to speak in your server. Not entirely because of what Hickory did, but how you handled the people they invited into their server.
If I recall correctly, you yelled at us under a disguise account after not being invited to the server, telling us all to “get the fuck off my server”. Nevermind you were yelling at children and your own best friend who didn’t know any better, you just can’t handle when someone makes a server other than yours. We all left Hickory because we were scared of what would happen. You didn’t kick us but I know everyone involved would tell you that how you interacted terrified us. Multiple people I talked to involved in this incident had panic attacks and are literal CHILDREN. You told us the entire situation which I wrote in my essay, and gave us a new perspective on Hickory as a whole but it still does not excuse flying into a fit of rage and yelling at people less than half your age. You *especially* know how hard of a home life some of these children have and being yelled at by an adult they trusted is traumatizing and it HURTS.
I know you apologized later on, stating you were never mad at us, but do you know how traumatizing it is to have someone you look up to fly into a fit of rage? That week was one of the worst and most stressful weeks of my life, and having you come in and cuss and scream at us did not help.
Now I can address more accounts from situations I was not/not entirely involved in.
Running People out of your Server.
You have a habit of running people out of your server, I hope you realize that. One of the people you drove out had a disagreement with you an Hickory. Over what? Trey *fucking* Clover, as per usual. This person you drove out was trying to explain their side of their disagreement, and yet you and Hickory ganged up on them. They told me that you always disagreed with them and you would never let them voice their opinion— your personal thoughts are the only ones inherently correct in that server according to you.
Speaking of incidents regarding opinions, let’s jump over to two specific ones— an experience I’m directly involved in and another experience where you destroyed a person’s passion of a comfort AU they have.
I’ll start with comfort AU: Do you remember (server member)’s Pokémon au? Yeah, that one. They were so proud of that and curated that AU to make it strictly *theirs*. You have a tendency to take control over other people’s AUs, you know that, right? They were so excited, super happy to show the server each character’s Pokémon teams! What do you do? Dismantle their carefully curated Pokémon teams and explain to them how *you* would do it. They didn’t want help, they were simply talking about a shiny new AU that they loved. I am in contact with this server member, and what you did during that conversation made them lose all passion for the project until they were able to get away from you.
Now for my own experience: I never shared my headcanons on your server except for one: my Nordic Heartslabyul headcanon. I was sharing it with the person who made me fall absolutely in love with the idea, and do you remember what you said right afterwards?
“I’m sorry but I can’t see Riddle or the other boys in Heartslabyul as being anything but British. Cater is *Irish*.”
This was not your conversation, and the person and I have a deep connection with the headcanon which you implied was “wrong”. I am not putting words in your mouth but from both of our perspectives your participation in the conversation made us feel stupid and like we shouldn’t headcanon them as such. Fun fact about headcanons: they don’t have to be canon compliant ! You should know that very well with your half-fae Cater headcanon and your ideas of how Caters mother is.
You then proceeded to try to switch our headcanon to make it more “(your) canon compliant”, telling us that Diasomnia should be Nordic instead of Heartslabyul. You do this a lot with peoples headcanons, you know. You disagree with it and then try to change our minds by backing up evidence from canon sources instead of letting us be. I get it’s your server, but you don’t need to be a part of every conversation— which is exactly what you complained about with Hickory’s attitude.
Now I can get to explaining Child-O-Hades’ claims in her Document!!!
I explained the Hickory Incident, my headcanon experience, and the Pokémon AU already.
Next point on Child-O-Hades’ document explains you being rude about other people’s opinions and about peoples headcanons gaining traction on Tumblr. Now I do not know which post you were referring to with your message “Someone’s weird ass headcanons I saw had like 500 notes the other day and I’m like… why”, but I’d like to ask you a question:
If your headcanons are to be respected, what gives you the right to call a random person’s headcanons “weird ass”?
I’d also like for you to think about another thing: What if that person was in your server and heard their (likely) favorite Twisted Wonderland author call their headcanons weird? Splash damage is real.
Hades’ next point brings up your transphobic statements. Yes, headcanons don’t necessarily have to be liked by all but in multiple incidents on the server you have repeatedly shot down people’s gender headcanons for their favorite characters. Most notable, trans Cater and she/her Vil. People enjoy projecting themselves on their favorite character—you do too, it’s a comfort mechanism. The fact that you were so openly disgusted at the idea of either of those two being headcanoned as such openly harms those in your server and everyone else who take great comfort in those specific headcanons. I cannot forget when you so rudely shot down Hickory’s gender-fluid Tweels headcanon— complaining and calling their headcanon “weird” just because of their justification for it. I don’t personally enjoy their justification either but you were outright bashing them and they weren’t even there to defend themself. Of course, I’m unable to directly quote you in this part because you deleted your server, but you had been incredibly rude about everything Hickory had done on your server. I have too, but I at least acknowledge that I have been extremely rude unlike how you are in this entire fight.
Next point on Hades’ doc: Your homophobic remarks towards sexuality headcanons.
A server member in this conversation mentioned their headcanon of “In my brain, every TWST character is Aro or Ace or AroAce in some way :p”, to which you tried yet refuting another headcanon, explaining that it weakens the diversity of the sexuality headcanon if everyone was Aro/Ace. This person you argued with has every right to include ace representation in their headcanons, especially since there is very little to begin with. It won’t do as much as say, an OC but these types of headcanons bring comfort to those whose sexualities aren’t seen on mainstream. You also proceed to explain *why* specific characters would never be AroAce, such as Cater and Vil. Again, I respect that you do not see them as such but you are outright denying someone’s headcanons to fit your own. You end your part of the conversation with “ultimately it’s up to you how you write them tho”. You explain so much to explain why this server member shouldn’t headcanon everyone as a part of the Ace spectrum and then proceed to completely undermine everything to make yourself sound better after destroying a teenager’s headcanon.
Now I am not one to say anything about your Fics because like everyone on your server, I enjoyed your fics. However, there is no denying you use dark themes in your Fics. I cant say anything about that either— I’ve written dark themes and regrettably problematic ships. What really stands out though is your screenshot regarding an idea you had with Cater being trans. You specifically state that you have toyed with the idea of Cater being trans in a way where his sisters forcibly feminize him to “fix him”. Yes, this is a real situation that unfortunately happens, but the way you were going to write Cater makes it sound like the only reason for his transness was to give him more trauma. This would not be appropriate representation of trans people if the only reason you were going to give that identity to him was to add on to more of his horrible homelife. Another screenshot talked about in Hades’ doc refers to you having Riddle’s mom become Cater’s doctor because his mother would never report her for child abuse. Again, an unfortunate thing that happens in our real world. However, you’re claiming everyone else’s headcanons to not be canon compliant but you forgot that Riddle’s mom lives in a… completely different country. In fact, she lives on an island. Riddle’s *father* is the one that is a traveling doctor, not his mother.
I will not be talking about the server member who mentions you encouraging SH. that is for them and only them to explain.
Hades’ next post regards your trend of racism. Your explanation of why changing white characters into POCs is racist shows a very closed-off mindset where you as a white person refuse to allow these teenagers a way to find themselves in their favorite characters, claiming that their way to add diversity and to find representation in their own ethnicities is another form of racism. The conversation directly involved in this also includes a form of colorism in your words. In this conversation, you explain to someone who edited Kalim’s Tsum groovy that they made Kalim “too dark”. Kalim as a character is already extremely whitewashed in canon, and the fact that this server member was attempting to give darker-skinned Arabs more representation is already a daunting feat. Again, like the sexuality and gender headcanons, changing a part of a canon character will not do much to include representation— but it’s the comfort of the people who headcanon that matters. As long as these people aren’t going out of their way to promote racist stereotypes, it is fine. Your server was supposed to promote creativity, not diminish it.
Now I was NOT involved in Hades’ 11th point, as this was likely after I left your server. It is exactly how it is described. You called someone a vampire, then said offensive things to them. I will not explain further as Hade’s goes into a deep explanation on what you did. Telling someone that it is “no big deal” that they beat CANCER is not okay.
You wanted explanations, and I have provided you with explanations. You’re not the victim, Azurith. You have hurt so many people in your server and then play the like we lied and harassed you.
This will be my only post on this situation. I hope you live the life you deserve.

...you have opened my eyes to a vast universe of VintageBeef lore that I was unaware of. I knew about the New Hermit Order, of course, and the UHC invention, and I've watched a few of his CTM things but -- I will take all the info and lore you feel like giving out because Beef is amazing and my knowledge is so small.
Vintagebeef my beloved <3
So the thing is, right, until about 2016 I only watched two (2) youtubers- Vintagebeef for Minecraft and aDrive for Pokemon (and funnily enough both of them are named Dan irl). So I've watched most of Beef's videos over the years and have a general knowledge of most of his stuff, except because it's been like a decade I don't remember where most of the lore comes from XD
The thing with him is that he doesn't do Lore tm the way other mcyters often do lore- he doesn't have an extensive RP series to draw from like Grian, doesn't have a solo world with steadily increasing amounts of lore like Etho or Zisteau, and while he's played on SMPs and been involved in storylines before it's not really the focus of his episodes unlike with Evo or Legacy or Empires
So where does that leave us?
IRL, Beef always has multiple series running at the same time. Often he's playing on an smp while doing a singleplayer, often modded, series as well as a CTM or modpack with a group of friends. For example, right now he's playing on Hermitcraft, doing weekly Pixelmon and Building a Zoo episodes, and a CTM map with Slip. And to me, this translates to one thing: Beef is an adventurer. He travels frequently- he explores a world and when he decides he's done, he leaves for the next one. That's the basis of my personal interpretation of his series and his character for my writing.
Ok so reading this back, this got extremely long and didn't explain much in the way of lore, somehow? If anyone has any additions to add please do so, I am very definitely leaving out a lot and would love to see what other lore people remember and are using for Beef! I didn’t include the Hermitcraft stuff since my memory of season 4 is blurry (his base was themed after the Martian, that much I know, and he and Iskall were buddies :D) and most of the s5 NHO lore is best watched from Bdub’s perspective from what I remember, and the only s6 stuff is a single line in Hermitgang and then the Area 77 arc with its possibility of an NHO reunion which we did not get rip. And s7 of course had the cloning machine and also the Podzol Party as the main lore. So all the original rambling is still below the cut though it is very long, and I'm gonna bullet point the main stuff here instead:
Actual canonical things:
Invented UHC and was the only survivor of the first ever uhc (Mindcrack UHC s1)
Married to an ender dragon (one of the UHCs I think), later father to a different dragon (Mindcrack season 3? I think?)
Might not have legs if you choose to take that joke as canon (Mindcrack s2)
Was a wizard (RAD)
is a zookeeper (Building a Zoo)
Had a wife and kids (Sims in Minecraft)
Part of the Trial of the B Team court case (Mindcrack)
NHO founder, founder of the Podzol Party (Hermitcraft)
Created a cloning machine that sort of works (Hermitcraft)
Played the Forest which is I believe the first time he and Keralis played together (look up the trigger warnings for this one, it's a horror game)
Was the creator/owner of Sourceblock SMP (featuring some familiar faces if you know Legacy, Empires, or MCC) and there is literal magic from a mysterious sourceblock of water that teleports people and summons mobs and probably more stuff that I haven't seen yet since I'm still watching it myself
Things you can infer:
Good with animals (Life in the Woods, Pixelmon, Ark)
Is a car nerd (irl and all of the car games he's played)
Is a highly experienced adventurer who has traveled through dozens of worlds both vanilla and modded, across multiple dimensions (Twilight Forest, the Aether, the Betweenlands, Limbo), completed dozens of monuments, fought in blood sports, survived apocalypse after apocalypse, tamed dinosaurs, and played a lot of prop hunt and golf with your friends
If you're looking for what to watch for lore purposes, I'd say the Mindcrack UHCs and Team Canada's RAD series are pretty good, definitely Sourceblock and HC s5, plus the Diversity CTM maps and Ruins of the Mindcrackers maybe? And Mindcrack Prank Wars for the chaos and the origin of Team Canada. And if you can handle horror than the Forest is fun and if you don't do horror you can watch the Pojkband play golf or prop hunt they're hilarious I love them sm I want a Pojkband reunion So Bad
Beef's first series was a singleplayer series in beta 1.4_01 though he had played the game extensively before that, and was a big fan of Guude, having watched his own Minecraft videos. The series was functionally a hardcore one where if he died Beef would delete the world and start again! I haven't actually Watched this series so idk if he died or how often lmao. When Guude made Mindcrack, which was btw one of the very first Minecraft SMPs, he also hosted a competition for people to join, and Beef submitted a video (which is still viewable on his channel I believe!) and won, and was added to Mindcrack in season 2 :D (fun fact, Guude said that even if Beef hadn’t won he would have added him anyway)
Two running jokes emerged from Mindcrack- pulling a Vintagebeef and Beef doesn't have legs. The first is a reference to Beef dying of fall damage (I believe the exact instance was him trying to jump into his swimming pool and failing spectacularly) and after the incident, every time someone died of fall damage they were pulling a Vintagebeef. The second joke comes from Guude, who joked that the reason Beef wasn't going to a convention was because he didn't have legs, and then he pranked Beef's base by building a giant pair of legs at the entrance to his castle so you had to walk between them to get into the base. This joke has long since died and both Beef and Guude feel pretty bad about it iirc because there were people who genuinely thought Beef was disabled and were emailing him supportive messages and stuff oops. So if you go looking on the Salad or find old Mindcrack fics, you might see references to Beef having prosthetic legs!
Mindcrack also brought about the creation of several Player groups- Team Nancy Drew, Team Canada, and GOB to name a few relevant to Beef. Team Nancy Drew consists of Beef, Pauseunpause, Guude, and Baj, who formed to investigate a prank on one of the members but I forget who. They're named Nancy Drew after the detective! Team Canada also formed in retaliation to pranks, with it consisting of Beef, Etho, and Pause, the three Canadian members on the server (not including Adlington who moved to Canada but never joined the group). There was also a Team America who pranked them with American flags everywhere. GOB is Guude, OMGChad, and Beef, who played stuff like the Ragecraft, Pantheon, and Monstrosity ctms together but that's way down the line lol
Team Nancy Drew is also notable for inventing UHC. It was Beef's brainchild but it was the four of them who first played it! The first UHC had the four of them working to kill the dragon with no natural regen, with everyone dying but Beef, who "won" the UHC. The second uhc was still dragon focused and iirc is where Beef married the dragon? Memories are hazy but they do kill the dragon in this one I think. UHC was then revamped as a pvp event and became a regular Mindcrack game every few months, featuring most of the Mindcrackers and several special guests, including Dinnerbone, who as we know Thanos-snapped Doc's arm out of existence as a result of Doc killing him in one of them
In one of the seasons of Mindcrack, Beef invited swedish Mindcracker and good friend Anderzel to go caving with him and invented ABBA Rules caving, where the winner takes it all. ABBA Rules is a game where each ore (and also dungeon loot like nametags) is assigned a point value and the person with the most points at the end wins and gets to keep all the stuff collected from the game.
In Mindcrack season 3?, Beef punched the ender dragon in an... awkward area, so when the dragon died and left the egg behind, Guude said Beef was the father of the egg XD I don't remember if I watched s3 so I have no idea if anything Happened with this concept but *history of the world voice* you could make lore out of this!
So Team Canada has played a Lot of CTM maps (which fun fact were pretty much invented by another Mindcrack member, Vechs, with his Super Hostile series! Super Hostile has a bunch of things called "Zistonian", which are references to another Mindcrack member Zisteau, who has a very wild singleplayer series with even wilder lore but I digress). In Ruins of the Mindcrackers, they had a running joke that Beef was Etho and Pause's mom, which is a joke we can leave in the past actually /lh. They also played all the Diversity maps, Sky Factory, Terra Restore, Uncharted Territory uhhh and a couple more ctms and adventure maps! Each map kinda has its own story so in Diversity 3 for example they were trapped in a simulation? I think? Team Canada also recently played the Roguelike Adventures and Dungeons modpack, aka RAD, in which Beef was a wizard with a magic staff that could do anything from summon lightning to control hostile mobs.
Sourceblock SMP is a vanilla survival 1.14 series that ran for one season and the series starts with each of the Players being drawn to a strange sparkling water source that, once they touch it, brings them to the Sourceblock world. It also summons a giant zombie at one point. There's probably more lore for this series but like I said I haven't watched it all the way through yet
He has a Patreon server called VintageCraft and has done a series or two on there as well, and played a few UHCs with them, so lore that how you will!
Beef also played a few popular mods, notably Pixelmon, Life in the Woods, and Feed the Beast, with LitW being singleplayer and the other multiplayer. He's also recently played the Zoo and Wild Animals mod a lot. He did a short series with the Minecraft Comes Alive mod where he married one of the villagers and had two children, so that's canon now :D he’s played a Lot of Pixelmon starting when the mod first came out iirc (he chose Turtwig in his first series and built a Grass gym, then made a Normal gym in another series in uhh 2016) and he still plays to this day. Quite a few Hermits played on his Pixelmon servers with him, like Wels, Etho, Iskall, Stress, Slip, Zueljin, and also Guude and Phedran (a Mindcrack adjacent player and creator of the LitW modpack) and a few Mindcrackers on the older servers
Mindcrack and friends played a lot of other games too- 7 Days to Die, Ark Survival Evolved, Unturned, to name a few, so you can pull a lot of lore out of these as well. Speaking of friends and non-Minecraft games, Beef teamed up with Pause, Keralis, and Slip (a former Hermit) to play the horror game the Forest, which saw them stuck on an island trying to survive against terrifying mutated human... things. They played it a few times as the game updated but as afaik it's the first time Beef played with Keralis and possibly Slip and since the game starts with the Player's airplane crashing, that could totally be how Beef first met them in-universe
I... think? that’s everything I mentioned in the tags? There is probably way more stuff I’ve forgotten that stems from inside jokes and things that happen within each series, but I hope that was a) helpful and b) at least somewhat comprehensible lmao
#hermitcraft#mindcrack#vintagebeef#mcyt#long post#asks#redwinterrises#that was so many words#kudos to anyone who reads the whole thing lmao

Another minecraft smp let’s go /hj /pos
About the Principality SMP;
This SMP will be semi-competitive, there is no goal to reach but there are four seperate teams that are against each other unless an alliance has been formed.
The server is still a work in progress, it’s not expected for us to be open very soon, but I think nows about the time for us to start advertising.
Everyone has until the minecraft server opens to organise their teams, but you can also be an outcast. More on that later.
When the server opens, each team will spread out and find a place to claim land. You will claim land by building a wall or a simple fence around the space you wish to claim.
You will only be able to build your main structures inside your claimed land.
If you choose to be an outcast, or a player that does not live with a team, you will not be able to claim land. Any base that you build must be fairly small, if you build a base at all.
Outcasts are typically adventurers, and do not settle down often.
There will be more in depth explanations, and a bit of lore in the discord server! We aren’t entirely ready for people to join yet, so I’ll post the server application when we are!
We have about 50 mods for this server! It might be a bit heavyweight, but my dell gaming laptop runs it pretty good.
Main mods included will be;
Alex’s mobs,
Biomes o plenty,
Small ships,
Dragon mounts(!!)
And proximity chat!
We also include a slightly smaller medieval themed mod, that adds medieval knight armour and weapons.
The server version will be:
1.16.5
And the difficulty will probably be on easy lol.
If you are worried about lag, we have a few lag-reducing mods that should help a lot. <3
Important things that I may have forgotten to mention:
We are based in australia, meaning all of our times and dates are in AEST.
Our server is Java edition only, sorry to all the bedrock players out there.
We are very inclusive! We are lgbtqia+ friendly, neurodivergent friendly, ect. Both the owners are LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent.

One Unofficial Home Discord Server Bites the Dust
This update is for the folks that follow Home and the unofficial communities that have sprung up around the comic.
Seal’s Server is now closed. Anyone visiting the server will be met with a black icon for the channel and a single message:
You might have noticed that the Exposedmundr blog and DeviantArt accounts were deleted a few months ago. The fact that the server was shut down isn’t a surprise, as the owner has done this several times before. There was originally a server named Exposedmundr and it was closed. All of us were kicked from it without warning. Those of us on Exposedmundr had to migrate to the Lifa server, which originally started as server for Home re-writes. It later morphed into a fan server. That server was also closed without warning and all of us were kicked from it. Seal’s Server was the last iteration, and was meant to be a fresh start. That worked well enough until trouble started.
The writing on the wall came just under a year ago after a rift in the community. (I’m not going to go into further details, as those involved don’t want dwell on the animosity. For that reason, no one will be named either.) The server went without moderation for a long time and I figured the owner had lost interest. I also figured that someday I’d wake up and the server would be gone, much like Exposedmundr and Lifa.
Surprisingly and happily, the server chugged on without too many issues. Then a few months ago the lack of moderation reared its ugly head. One member took to antagonizing multiple members. When the server owner returned and a moderator was appointed, that member left. The entire incident was handled poorly, including the shadow ban of a member who tried to stand up to the antagonism. It was at this point I checked out and stop contributing.
The server seemed a bit more active with the return of moderation, but this morning it was closed again without warning. A heads up and giving members a chance to save any art or memes would have been nice. But hey, it wasn’t my server and people can run things how they want. Even so, I do think it was an unfair thing to drop on us.
That said, the owner was thoughtful enough to point out there is still an active Home community run by @jonnawasmurdered. The server has been around for more than a year and has grown nicely. It has several mods as well. (I’m one of them.) It’s been carefully balanced as a place for current and former fans to respectfully discuss this comic. If you were in Seal’s Server and are looking for a home (no pun intended) to discuss Kique Nordin’s work, among other things, check out the link at Jonna’s Tumblr. Just please respect our rules and our members.

Let's see I've got 3 small smp experiences that are something more than just 1 or 2 hours of playtime. The first is from when I ran an smp and that was just a trio of assholes largely took over the server(I do admit since it was my first time running a server I was a bit too controlling). Basically with that it went on for 5 season thingies and for the first, it was great. For the second, it went very well until the assholes became really active(and it became apparent they had been hacking since the start) and then it became inactive. For the third it was generally pretty good, but became inactive after a bit but was a generally drama free experience. Then for the fourth, it was all great until the assholes griefed my base(which wasn't permitted on that server) and finally got banned, and since they had gradually shoved out almost everyone except their friend group the server died. There was a fun period of time where it was just me and two others having fun. And then the fifth season never got off the ground. For the second server experience, it's modded, still going on and really fun because it's only like a dozen people total. The main dramas have been in the first season one guy claiming the entire nether(limited world border was his argument), that same guy doing a very bad job of differentiating between rp and not rp, and me removing some mods from the pack for the third season(which is starting this Sunday so fun!). The final server experience was pretty simple: it was a couple people through a tumblr post, going to be really fun, discord server set up, Minecraft server he just gotten up and running, and then the owner banned everyone from the discord, reset the server, blocked everyone on tumblr, etc. I and a few of the other people communed and tried to figure out what happened and we ended up using an invite link to the discord to check it out and... almost entirely wiped. Some of the messages turned out to be weirdly old so there's also that. The info trail went pretty much cold there. Sorry for ranting, especially about that first one. I'm still a bit spiteful about the first one.
dude Minecraft small SMP drama is so crazy dude I have so many stories about how shitty SMP owners were to me over like a span of 2 years and all the horrible people in servers then you have like other servers where its like "this is the best 3 days of my life" and then the server ends :C Where are my long-lasting drama free SMPs :C

“Discordant Sonata” Chapter 19

–––––
CHAPTER 19: ATTACCA
Music glossary: Attacca - "To attack at once"; used as a direction in music at the end of a movement to begin the next without pause
–––––
(Mood music: "The Conversation" - Pearl Django)
Being mere months away from graduating lycée meant that their group of friends didn’t have as many classes together, due to their diverse individual interests and talents. However, they always made sure to make time to hang out after school before their extracurricular activities began.
And thus, Adrien, Nino, and Alya made their way to the classroom where the art club gathered to meet up with Marinette. From there, Adrien would make his way to either fencing lessons or Chinese, depending on the day of the week. Marinette would join him on days when he had Chinese (as she’d become determined to master the language ever since her uncle visited from Shanghai a few years back), Alya would go to her journalism club, and Nino would travel to his part-time internship at the local recording studio.
“–and the backlogs just keep piling up!” Alya spoke as they walked, voice full of vigor and excitement. “I’ve had to recruit yet another mod to help me keep order in the forums! Especially since the Ladyblog has started going international and we’ve had to organize servers in different languages. You wouldn’t believe how crazy it’s gotten in there recently!”
“Dang, babe,” Nino interjected. “Sounds like things are super rough for you right now.”
“Not really, more busy than anything. Especially because I have that big research article due next week, there’s just not enough hours in the day to try to read everything that goes on in there. But I have my mods report to me daily, ‘cause I always like to stay on top of everything that goes on in the chats!”
“What’s gotten everyone so riled up in the Ladyblog lately?” Adrien chimed in. “I don’t recall it being nearly this busy last year.”
The trio entered the art club’s classroom and settled down at the table where Marinette sat, getting her various sketches organized. The art teacher was quite easy going, so they didn’t have to talk in hushed whispers and could come and go as they pleased.
“Well, to be honest, it’s because of Chat Noir,” Alya replied.
Adrien tried to contain his surprise. “R-really? What– uhhh, what do people have to say about him?”
He winced inwardly. He knew he shouldn’t ask. But curiosity got the better of him today. Maybe learning the news through the filter or Alya’s paraphrasing instead of reading the negative comments firsthand would lessen the sting of what people said about him.
Marinette whipped her head around at the mention of his alter ego. “Wait, what about Chat Noir?” she inquired.
“Girl,” Alya replied, her voice filled with renewed exuberance. “You would not believe how much we’ve had to censor and moderate all the inappropriate things people have been saying!”
Adrien flinched in his seat. “Wow… do people really hate him that much?” he asked, trying to conceal the dejection in his voice.
Alya busted out into loud guffaws. “Hate?! Dude, most people don’t hate him; they LOVE him! By ‘inappropriate’ comments, I mean the kinda stuff you wouldn’t want your grandma to catch you reading! There’s a whole giant section dedicated to his new fan club!” she said as she removed her glasses so she could wipe away the tears of laughter.
“WHAT?!” Adrien squawked in confusion, his face feeling hotter than the ovens back at the bakery. “A fan club??”
Marinette burst into uncontrollable snickering. “Has it really gotten that bad?!”
Nino joined in, “Bro! Adrien, I can’t believe you haven’t heard Alya rant about these rabid fans before! They call themselves the ‘Noir Nation’, and the kind of things they’ve been writing would make adult romance authors blush like schoolgirls!”
Alya nodded, thoroughly amused. “And that’s not including all the fanfiction people have been writing.”
“Wait– the WHAT?! There’s fanfiction?!!” Marinette gaped in shock, as if she’d been hit in the face with an enormous pie. “Alya, how come I never knew about this?!”
“Why? You wanna read em? Girl, you’ll get no judgment from me. If you wanna check ‘em out for yourself, just go check under the hashtag ‘Ladynoir’.”
Marinette stammered as her arms flailed in her bewilderment, accidentally knocking her phone off the table and onto the floor, her eyes bigger and rounder than Adrien had ever seen them. “They have a ship name?!” she screeched.
“Just mind the ratings though,” Alya advised. “Some of them can get pretty steamy. You wouldn’t want someone to catch you reading those in public,” she added with a wink.
Marinette continued to sputter incoherently. “NO, I am NOT gonna read it!! It would be different if they were fictional characters, but I could never read fanfiction about real people!”
Alya raised a skeptical eyebrow at her. “Mm-hmm… Sure.”
Marinette’s hands flew to her face, trying to hide how red her entire face had gotten, and released a long squeak that resembled a hamster on helium. As shocked as Adrien was about these rather unexpected news, seeing Marinette’s over-the-top reaction brought a wide grin to his face and he busted out laughing.
He bent over to retrieve Marinette’s phone, since she was too busy being mortified to notice it had fallen to the floor. As he was about to hand it back, the screen lit up and Adrien saw the lockscreen wallpaper: it was the same photo of Ladybug and Chat Noir that he himself had saved earlier that day. He smiled, not exactly sure what to make of it, but finding it adorable that she’d liked the photo enough to set it as her lockscreen.
He tapped her shoulder, waiting for her to respond. She emerged from behind her impromptu hand shield and turned her head, then her eyes widened once again as soon as she saw what Adrien was showing her. She jolted straight up, stiff as a board, and her eyes met his, cheeks turning tomato red. He winked at her, amused about this little secret between them, and handed back her phone without a word.
Marinette accepted it with a meek-sounding, “Thanks,” looking like she wanted to explain the photo, but not able to do so unless she wanted Alya and Nino to find out that she was potentially a… ahem– “Ladynoir” shipper.
Switching the conversation to something else (which Marinette seemed to be eternally grateful for), the group chatted until it became time for them to scatter to their next destinations.
With a wave, Adrien exited the classroom and headed towards fencing practice, one of the few activities he decided to stick with despite not being forced to participate. Fencing, along with Chinese lessons, were not only enjoyable, but were also quite useful. Sadly, he didn’t have access to a piano anymore, so he wasn’t able to pursue that hobby for the time being. Hopefully later down the line, when things had settled down and he’d found his own place to live, he’d be able to finance one.
Thinking about the future had become an exciting pastime instead of an anxiety-inducing one, and it was all thanks to his friends and those he cared about. He smiled as he reached the door to the locker rooms, continuing to daydream of what was to come.
(Mood music: "Recollection 3" - Shirō Sagisu (BLEACH OST, "The Diamond Dust Rebellion")
Adrien finished getting dressed for fencing, his head still blissfully floating in the clouds. He stored his belongings into his assigned locker, shutting it with a loud clang, which echoed through the empty room.
Huh...? Empty?
He swiveled his head around, surprised that there was no one beside him. He stood up and began walking down the large room, peeking down the other locker rows looking for his classmates; but there was nobody.
Where was everyone? There’s no way that every single one of them was running late. Had his lessons been cancelled and he’d somehow missed a text message or email? He began heading back towards his locker to check his phone for any schedule changes.
Before he reached his destination, however, heavy thudding footsteps broke the eerie silence. Adrien whipped his body around to greet whoever they belonged to.
The owner of those footsteps was one of the last people Adrien expected to meet here.
“Gaspard?!”
Adrien stood agape, face to face with his old bodyguard, whom he hadn’t seen in a couple of years; not since he’d resigned and moved out of the country. Nathalie had mentioned that in his resignation letter, Gaspard said that he’d become involved in an overseas business venture involving the market of rare action figures. Nevertheless, Adrien couldn’t help but suspect that his father’s ill temper and poor treatment of their employees was the true reason for his departure.
Adrien’s first reaction was surprise and joy, and he rushed forward to greet and embrace him. However, as he approached and got a better look at the man’s face, Adrien’s mood instantly morphed into confusion and apprehension. There was something odd about his eyes.
Something wasn’t right. Why was Gaspard here? And why now?
He came to a halt about a meter before reaching him. An oppressive weight seemed to press in all around him, and he had to suppress a shiver. “Wait. Gaspard, did–” he gulped, “–did my father send you?”
His old bodyguard did not reply, but took a heavy step towards him. Adrien stepped back.
“Please… I can’t go back. I live somewhere else now, and I’m very happy there. Whatever he told you about the situation, it’s a lie.”
His bodyguard continued to approach him, his stare vacant and unsettling.
Fighting the urge to panic, he pleaded, “You don’t have to do this. If he’s offered you compensation, I can match it; it’ll just take me a bit of time. But we can work something out, right?? For old time’s sake?”
He continued walking backwards until he bumped into something firm, but it wasn’t a wall; it was another person. Before he could turn around, they grabbed him by the shoulders, detaining him and preventing him from running away.
He was about to shout for help when something sharp jabbed him on the side of the neck, injecting a cold liquid. Adrien’s eyes grew wide in terror.
Shit.
Adrien swore as he jerked away, elbowing whoever was behind him and managing to break free. Rubbing at the spot where the syringe had stabbed him, he glanced back to take a look at his other assailant, only to see... another Gaspard?
Why are there two of him??
This was wrong. Gaspard didn’t have a twin; he knew that for a fact. He’d worked for the Agrestes ever since Adrien was a toddler and was too young to even pronounce his name correctly (hence the nickname “Gorille”, which stuck around for years afterwards). Additionally, there was something uncanny, otherworldly, even, about the way these two men looked and moved.
He shook himself out of his stupor. He didn’t have time to contemplate any possible explanations. He had to get out of there fast.
He sprinted towards the exit, but only managed to travel a few paces before he lost his footing and tripped. He fell to the ground hard, almost hitting his head on a nearby bench. As he struggled to get up, he realized that his fingers and toes had already gone numb.
Not good.
Time was running out. Adrenaline coursed through him and, with a grunt, he hefted himself to his feet and scrambled towards the exit, as fast as he could despite a heavy limp. Though his heart was hammering and his legs felt like they were filled with sand, he pushed himself, concentrating on reaching the door.
After taking a few steps, however, he realized that even if he did manage to exit the locker room, the area beyond was an open courtyard. Meaning he wasn’t going to be able to reach someplace safe before getting caught. He had no choice but to transform into Chat Noir, and hopefully Plagg’s powers and strength could help him escape and find somewhere to hide.
He’d scarcely uttered the first syllable in the transformation phrase when he was tackled to the ground. A giant hand swiftly covered his mouth and Adrien felt his hands get bound together with thick zip ties behind his back. A muffled scream of writhing frustration made its way up his throat as his limbs became more and more useless by the second.
No… This can’t be happening! Please, this can’t be how it all ends!
Just when his life had finally gained a semblance of normalcy and he’d found happiness again, it would get ripped away and he would disappear without a trace, leaving everyone to wonder what had happened to him. Leaving his friends to think that Gabriel had pulled him from school and they would never see him again. Leaving Ladybug to wonder if Chat had abandoned her forever. Leaving her to fight Hawkmoth alone. Again.
He couldn’t let that happen. He thrashed and struggled as furiously as he could, fighting the feelings of overwhelming helplessness that threatened to consume him. Nearing despair, he was too distracted to notice Plagg phrasing through the wall, away from the skirmish, in search of the only person who could save him.
(Mood music: "Run" - Ludovico Einaudi)
Marinette fidgeted with her pencil, her feet wiggled and bounced under her desk. She didn’t understand; when she’d arrived at the art club, her head had been filled with inspiration and ideas that she’d been excited to draw and execute. However, at the moment, her mind was filled with noise and disquietude.
Having had enough, she excused herself to visit the restroom. Once she’d walked far enough from the classroom, she opened her purse to talk to Tikki about her current dilemma.
“It’s the same feeling as last night, Tikki! Except that would mean one of three possibilities. Option A.) It’s nothing and I’m going crazy. And don’t give me that look, Tikki! I can see what you’re thinking and I don’t have time for your cheeky sass right now!” The kwami snickered while Marinette cleared her throat and continued, “Option B.) that Chat is here, at this school, which is impossible because his school’s on the other side of the city, that’s why he always leaves the house super early for his long commute.”
Tikki opened her mouth and looked like she was about to say something, but then didn’t (...or couldn’t?).
Marinette resumed, “Or, C.) that my–– what do I even call it? My ‘Spidey sense’??–– that it’s got a long distance mode, and Chat is all the way across Paris and he’s in trouble! But what am I supposed to do about that from here?! I wouldn’t even know where to begin looking!”
Tikki shrugged. “Follow your instincts, Marinette. There’s no harm in taking a quick look around the school, right?”
Marinette groaned. “UGH! It doesn’t make sense!! Am I going to get interrupted like this all the time from now on?” She shook her head resolutely. “No. I can’t just go off on random field trips every single time I feel a random fit of anxiety. I’m sure it’s just leftover jitters from last night. I’m supposed to call Master Fu after school anyway; he can help me figure everything out. I’m just gonna go back to class and forget about it.”
Tikki frowned, not quite convinced, but deciding not to press further.
Marinette made her way back to the classroom in a frustrated huff. But as her hand reached to turn the handle, the feelings of danger and urgency multiplied tenfold. Without a word, she sprinted away in the opposite direction, not even knowing where she was running to, only knowing she had to get there immediately.
She reached the large common area of the school downstairs. Her head whipped around, frantically searching for something, anything. In her haste, she didn’t notice a small black creature zoom into her open purse.
A few moments later, she felt a frantic tugging at her shirt from below.
“Marinette!! Over there! Check the locker room, quick!!!” Tikki whisper-screamed as she peeked outside the purse, her tone uncharacteristically frantic.
Marinette nodded, then sprinted to the locker room.
“Wait! You should transform first!” Tikki added.
No time!
“Marinette, wait!!”
Despite Tikki’s protests, Marinette raced towards the double doors, tackling them open.
Three sets of eyes landed on her as she skidded to a halt, but only one pair consumed her entire attention. She gasped in horror, hands flying to her face as she stared at what was occurring in front of her. Adrien let out a desperate, muffled scream urging her to run.
His panicked voice snapped her out of her dazed shock; but instead of running, she stood her ground, eyes darting back and forth across the area searching for something useful. The room was remarkably barren except for a lone broom a short distance away from her. She grabbed it and leaped towards the closest attacker (the one holding Adrien down), swinging it like a baseball bat.
The man didn’t even try to avoid the hit; the broomstick merely bounced off the side of his face where Marinette had hit him. She frowned in confusion, then tried hitting him again, bringing the stick down on the top of his head like an axe.
SNAP.
The end of the broom flew off, and Marinette stared in shock at the broken broomstick.
“What the hell are you?!” Marinette exclaimed, shifting her grip on the shortened wooden stub.
She pounced at the second bodyguard, bringing her weapon down in a stabbing motion; but he swatted at her hand, disarming her. She yelped in pain, leaping backwards to get some distance between them.
She was outmatched. The only strategy available was to use their own size against them. With a feint to the side, she shot at his legs for a takedown, hoping to catch him off balance. He called her bluff and shoved her backwards with his giant palm, then kneed her in the stomach.
Winded from the impact, Marinette doubled over with a gasping wheeze, fighting with all her might to keep herself from collapsing onto the ground. She forced herself upright and attacked again. With a clumsy jerk, she lunged forward, swinging wild punches at her opponent. The shots connected but his expression barely changed; it was like beating a breathing punching bag.
The bodyguard backhanded Marinette across the face. Pain shooting across her cheek, she staggered, almost losing her balance. In her daze, she watched helplessly as the man reared his arm back. There was no chance to dodge. His fist connected with her abdomen, delivering a liver shot that shut down her entire body. She crumpled to the floor as if boneless. She tried to call out Adrien’s name, but her mouth merely opened in a silent scream.
Marinette could hear Adrien’s distressed screaming, but it sounded distant, like they were underwater. The edges of her vision grew black and fuzzy, the entire room dissolving around her. She had to consciously force her lungs to inhale, but couldn’t fill them all the way, as if a boulder had been placed on top of her chest.
Faintly, she felt herself getting picked up off the ground and carried away over someone’s shoulder. Disoriented and semi-blinded, the sudden movement and rough jostling made her head spin and gave her vertigo. She gritted her teeth and squeezed her eyes shut, trying to block it all out.
A few moments later, they stopped moving, and she heard a door burst open. Where were they? Before she could gather her senses, she was in the air, thrown several meters away, landing with a hard thud. A sharp pain traveled down her body as she rolled into the wall across them. The shriek that tried to escape her throat emerged as a strained, shallow whine.
The man stomped out, leaving her alone in the room. “Stop…!” she rasped out, managing to tilt her neck upwards, head pounding.
The bodyguard slammed the door shut, followed by a bang and a clattering sound that could only mean he’d broken the doorknob of whatever room she was in.
Marinette's vision became more and more blurred. At the verge of losing consciousness, she fought to keep her eyes open as tears pricked at the corners of her eyes.
No, she couldn’t pass out! She had to save Adrien! Stay awake, Marinette, stay awake!!
She bit down on her lip hard, focusing on the sharp sting, on the swelling that was already forming around her right eye, forcing herself to feel the pain her body was in. At this moment, feeling pain was better than falling unconscious. She concentrated on her breathing, slowly regaining her senses.
She reached down to open her purse and get Tikki’s help… only to be met with emptiness. Panic settled in her gut as she realized that sometime during the skirmish, the purse had slipped off her shoulder. She sat up, slowly, so she wouldn’t risk feeling faint again from the change in positions.
She squinted, adjusting her eyesight to the darkness of the room. It seemed to be some sort of supply closet. After a failed few attempts to stand, she crawled towards the door instead, careful not to bump into the crates and shelves that filled the area.
The girl eyed the broken doorknob wearily. She was pretty proficient at lockpicking and breaking into things, but not as good at breaking out. Her only hope was that Tikki would be able to find her… if she was even nearby.
She swore to herself. Why had she rushed in and attacked two grown ass men (who, incidentally, may or may not be supernatural to boot!) instead of hiding and creating a strategy?! Now she was useless, Tikki was gone, and Adrien was surely on his way to get auctioned to the highest bidder in the criminal black market and ransomed off for an enormous sum. Great job, Marinette. Adrien’s been abducted and it’s all your fault.
Gathering all the determination she could muster, she tried to call out for help. But her voice was still too hoarse, and only a weak croak came out. She clenched her fists, grumbling irritably. Time for a different approach. Somehow, she needed to make noise.
After a brief search, she found a hard, metallic object that she could use to hammer on the door. She tested it out; it was surprisingly effective. She doubled her efforts, making as big a racket as possible. Hopefully, it would only be a matter of time before somebody heard her, let her out, and she could go find Adrien.
She couldn’t let anything else happen to another loved one. Not again.

I'M REEEAAAAALLY SORRY FOR THAT CLIFFHANGER JSHDKFJHSKDF ᕕ(╯°д°)ᕗ I tried splitting up the sections differently but it didn't really flow as well.
But the next chapter is almost done, so I'll have it ready by next weekend!!

This isn't hate, I swear to literally every deity in the heavens, but I can't be the only person who's a little sick of the only gameplay series that Mineblr talks about being Hermitcraft, right?
That's why I'm here to introduce you all to the One Life series!
As far as the actual server itself goes, it's basically a hardcore gamemode server with mods. If someone dies close to the season finale (like 2-3 episodes), they're allowed to be brought back for the Purge (S2)/Battle Royale (S3).
Now, onto the regular players:
1. Dangthatsalongname/Smajor1995/Scott

He's Scottish, so you know he's got the good accent
He says "coote" instead of "cute"
He's so pretty
He's an amazing builder. Like??? Excuse you, sir??? Who gave you permission???
He's friends with Grian so you'll see content with him in it every once in a while
Plus, he's gay, so there's y'alls gay Minecraft content 💖💖💖
2. Laurenzside/Lauren

Such a pretty woman (might just be my gay ass being biased tho)
Has a little fur baby puppy named Dexter and he's so adorable
Has the best fashion sense ever
One of the resident "I said I like Minecraft not that I was good at it" players
Loves the stars and galaxies and space in general
Is the Deer Queen
3. LDShadowLady/Lizzie

Such an aesthetic bean
Basically the living embodiment of "UwU"
Until you make her mad and then she'll trap your house with lava and potions of harming in hopes that you'll perish
Once built a death trap mansion she called the "Danger House" for a thrill ride basically
Actually as I'm thinking about it, I'm changing her emoji embodiment is more like ">:3"
The only person in the server that even vaguely understands Redstone (not that she really uses it though)
4. Seapeekay/Callum

His MC skin is literally a fox, so he might be a furry but idk
Such a messy builder. Like, mate. Just use one type of block for your walls please!
Once forgot that he tamed a wolf and accidently put it in the walls of his house
Tried to steal one of Lizzie's golems after she died in S3 and punched it trying to put a lead on it
5. Smallishbeans/Joel

He is such a squish. Literally, go look at any picture of him or his irl videos and tell me that he isn't a squish.
His MC skin is Shrek
He and Lizzie are engaged
He has a cat named Buddy (that loves Lizzie more, but he refuses to accept it) and a dog named Meri
There's a running gag on pretty much every server that he's kinda strange and vaguely yandere. His Crazycraft videos really show that off.
He is also an insanely good builder
6. Shubble/Shelby

Has a really high pitched voice, but it's perfect for her
Falls off her really tall builds a lot, but surprisingly, none of her One Life deaths have ever been because of falling from a high place
A self proclaimed resident "I like the game, just not good at it" player
But actually kind good at PvP???
Yet another amazing builder
She used to record with Sky Does Minecraft
7. Yammy XoX/Yammy

Such a queen
Pretty sure she's the owner of the server but idk
Basically a cryptid??
No one's ever sure if she's alive or not because it's hard to remember if she's uploaded a One Life video recently or not
Always builds in the cutest biomes
Basically the living embodiment of that one meme: Someone: "I would die for you" Yammy: "Then perish"
Note: there are a lot more players on the server, these are just the main ones I personally watch. Plus new people are always being invited.

what happens when you let a bunch of vault hunters loose in digart (aka, virtual reality minecraft)
vox downloaded the game at the request of panda, who needed to prove to teep that the game has undergone massive updates and is now capable of supporting custom mods and excessive cheating.
within an hour, the two broke the server from spawning far too many bosses so that they could do a nonstop boss rush and update teep’s achievements.
vox rebooted the server and put a restriction on the amount of bosses that could be spawned in a single world and space.
this didn’t stop panda and teep from making pocket dimensions and fighting the bosses one by one, making the game lag horribly, and vox gave up on stopping them because they kept finding loopholes.
this leads into vox making their own avatar and joining the two on their never-ending quest to subjugate each world. if they can’t stop them, then join them.
panda and teep generally explore brand new worlds, and are usually the first to chart said worlds since they cheated in all their equipment and skills. vox shrugged and let it happen so they could explore with them faster. the two rock up into town to drop off maps, loot and materials before heading off again. they’re considered founding figures.
honeydew joins (from the grass room) to put down his roots, and begins a miniature spawn hub town. he names it ‘digfarts’ and it becomes a permanent fixture on the server. he’s the mayor thanks to self voting.
curious about why honeydew is spending so much time in the grass room instead of making them coffee, xephos logs in and begins a bee factory on the outskirts of digfarts. they accidentally breed a type of extreme killer bee which kills players and has to be confined in a massive sphere. otherwise, the bees produce honey, beeswax and other assorted products used in the market, magic or as trading.
players who break the rules are subjected to the ‘bee farts’ (xephos was against the naming but honeydew won by majority vote). the bees cause hallucinations, tingles and the heebee jeebies. remember that this is in vr. good, now wonder why nobody ever breaks the rules.
the bridge and frigate crews start a town market, and run their own supply chain and exploration crews. each of them have their own gangs, motifs and specialities. they’re all very into the game, and plan their shifts accordingly so they can log in.
daltos starts a cheese cult, ‘the cheesers’, monopolizing all production and selling of cheese. weirdly, he and his cult encourage the consumption of cheese. all registered, owned and named cows must pay a milk tax to the cult so that more cheese can be made. people who break this law have their whole house filled with cheese.
zylus and rythian become tower wizards. they look after the tainted zones and research magic; rythian eventually goes ‘insane’ and constantly needs guarding against the phantoms and weirdness that happens to him whenever he logs in. zylus can cast almost every single spell and is undefeated in pvp. his only weakness is ironically, cheese, thanks to shenanigans. touching cheese robs him of his powers. he has a deal with daltos so daltos doesn’t take advantage of this. in return, zylus has to buy weekly cheese from him or daltos will tell everyone and zylus has to reset to get a different weakness. and no, zylus hasn’t realised.
nanosounds and ravs become the ‘buff hooligans’ (a rejected nickname for the foursome ravs was previously involved in), and run around killing things for the wizards, people, and protect the wizards from themselves.
nilesy runs a cat museum. he collects anything cat related, and also cats. it took him two weeks to build the whole thing, and it’s always expanding. minecarts are needed to tour all fifteen sections. he also runs a fishing business.
hatfilms run an honest exploration and needs club (‘the thumb of truth’), and provide a lot of the fuel from oil, grease and energy deposits found all over the world. they have a contract with the cheesers, wizards, digfart’s mayor, etc. you name it, they’ll get it, for a price. the only thing they don’t traffic is bees. that’s...a sore topic for them. each of them specialise in certain areas, trott being the engineer, contractor and main cultist, alsmiffy in beasts, magic and tomfoolery and ross in materials and building. hollie is the ever patient receptionist of this venture.
will strife and parvis manufacture weapons, guns, somehow, and also, missile launchers. after accidentally nuking digfarts twice on two separate occasions, honeydew forces the two to put everything that could wipe the server into a secure and hidden vault. needless to say, strife installed an emergency backdoor, just in case the server ever needs to ensure a winning side. parvis is the key. he doesn’t know it.
zoeya and saberial logged in briefly to build an island as a monument to their eternal love. it has since become a protected zone for unicorns, neutral and friendly mobs. nobody is allowed to touch it or risk bee farts. the island is shaped like ravs the rooster. it’s also populated by special chickens. said chickens lay precious metals and materials. only a few parties have a permit gather the goods. there’s a real art to breeding the chickens; zoeya and saberial did not wisely pass this knowledge on to anyone. except for one person: arsenal.
chicken smuggling is a real crime in digfarts. the fine is a in-game week’s confinement in the bee fart sphere, plus a handwritten letter of apology to every single other player on the server for disappointing them and a pledge of loyalty to the poor chicken/s to protect them for life from any harm and neglect. killing a chicken results in a softban and a townwide funeral procession. killing multiple chickens is a permanent ban.
lalna and lalnable dabble in mad science, and for once, the two get along. they accidentally clone one another, forget to lock the doors and have to slaughter their runaway clones. the scene caused an investigation done by the thumb of truth and an official hearing. cloning isn’t against digfart’s laws, so lalna and lalnable clone everyone and preserve the bodies underground posed in entertaining dioramas. they charge five gold ingots for the tour, and a chest full of diamonds for a specific one to be constructed.
vox and their siblings build a giant monument to bebopvox. it goes as high as the sky and is perfectly symmetrical from top to bottom. they harvested materials and built it without hiring anyone, a testament to their diligence and determination. they even applied early for the building and statue permit. honeydew was unsettled when they all visited at once to seek the permit. this was because they all wore the same skin, just in different colours. only larry robert spoke. the rest stared at honeydew. it’s hard to say ‘no’ to that.
fyreuk run a history tavern, which charts the development and founding of digfarts and notable town achivements. they keep it up to date, and in exchange for music discs, will write ballads to honour said achievements.
lomadia logs in when nobody is on the server, and moves a single object to the left by one space, or switches items around, or leaves signs saying ‘i know what you did’, etc. so far, everyone is convinced that the server is haunted. vox pretends not to know about it.
martyn and minty run law enforcement, and swagger around town keeping the whole place in order. they have their fingers in every pie. their motto is ‘you do the crime, you do the time’ which is cheesy as hell but they’re actually pretty good at their job. they talk to vox to arrange trials and how long a ban should last if someone breaks the law multiple times.
sherlock refuses to join the server because he knows that people will bully him into playing their secretary, treasurer, errand boy, etc. he has a secret identity though, and logs in as ‘hulmes’. people play along with his pretend investigations since he actually writes pretty good newspaper articles as a result. fyreuk collect said articles too.
larry robert and their siblings are builders; the thumb of truth usually hires them to build things. the reason why larry robert and co can’t be left alone to build is beause they’ll keep building and never stop until it’s done. they crafted the entire road and railway system in one night, which sparked riots and fights due to everything needing names, all at once. honeydew put the permits into place as a result, which states that ‘only one party can build at any given time, and it can be completed at one’s leisure and has to be realistic so that fyreuk doesn’t cry over piecing the timeline together’.
bebopvox isn’t allowed on the server due to their irl identity but that doesn’t stop their kids sending them updates. the street surrounding te statue of them is called ‘ridge avenue.’
arsenal has to have someone watching him whenever he logs in since he has ‘the devil’s hands’. he runs a monthly auction house. he auctions off especially rare materials and custom goods needing a new owner. more importantly though, he’s the only official party who can sell the special chickens, which means that his auctions are a big event that nobody wants to miss.
the bloody bandits operate as blacksmiths attached to strife and parvis’ business. they’re expert miners, and for some reason, also operate the local cemetary. they note down how many times someone has died, and update the headstones. the cloning business caused a real hang-up as none of them could agree what to name the clones of lalna and lalnable.
i know i left some people out but the server is limited to frigate peeps to stop breaches into vox’s systems since the whole server relies so heavily on vox. there’s been jokes that they’re all playing in vox’s brain...which isn’t actually that far off the mark.
vox devotes quite a bit of processing power into maintaining and keeping the whole thing running smoothly. they’re unusually fond of what the frigate created, which possibly explains why any henious world breakage is treated as a in-game crime and punished accordingly.
