But wait,I have more! So I was still thinking about the new Niji album but specifically about how unusual it is for them to be releasing the outfit voting already but NOT the song previews yet - so this had my brain turning a bit and made me think maybe these outfits are hints about what the songs will sound like, basically this is me predicting what they’ll sound like just based on that :] (once again this post will most likely be very long and for that I will say again,I am so sorry I just have a A Lot of thoughts about Nijigaku finally having a new album)
Ayumu - Sound wise it could really go either way,but one thing I do know is that it will be about Yuu. Like the theme is LOVE SONGS,you really think this girl isn’t going to sing about how she’s madly in love with her childhood friend?? In my mind - Spring-Colored Blazer will mean it’s about her love and appreciation for Yuu,Mystery Brown is like “I can’t figure out how my childhood friend feels about me it’s a mysteryyyy” or something and Tri-Color Stripe…idk maybe it’s her confessing to Yuu and wanting to be bold about it that’s all I got for that one
Kasumi - I’ve said this many times already, but Kasumi’s outfits have me the most split on what her song will sound like bc Retro Orange may mean that it’ll be a fun du-wop style retro song maybe about wanting someone to be more bold and say how they feel or smth, but Elegant White might mean it’ll be a regal piano ballad about her pining over a crush…and then all Black Jewelery could mean to me is that Kasumin is in her black swan era which honestly? I’m about it that would be fun, like throw in her twirling / doing some ballet moves and references to Swan Lake and I’d be EXTRA sold
Shizuku - If we’re judging from all of her outfits,it’s very clear that they’re going for a cuter concept for Shizuku which is something that I’ve wanted for a bit - like yes,I love all of her solos so far but this is very refreshing maybe Pink Frill Dress may mean it’ll be a pop song with a few samples from classic piano pieces a la Feel My Rhythm and references to Cinderella,OR Cherry Cherry might mean she will be the one with the retro song…as for Pastel Lolita I have no idea, nothing is coming to mind if they’re feeling funky maybe like denpa?? Probably not cndjdj
Karin - JAZZ JAZZ JAZZ JAZZ JAZZ,it’s all I want from her!! And not like upbeat jazz like maybe Nonfiction or Fashionista, like a slow smooth type of jazz…to me that would suit Karin and Miyutan so well, idk why they haven’t done it already but any of these outfits could fit that concept especially Blue Moon Night and Amethyst Dress
Ai - From what I can tell,we could be seeing a softer sweeter side to Ai compared to her usual sound, which is just H-AI AI’M AI LET’S SMILE TODAY YAYAYAYAY WHOAWHOAWHOAWHOA ALRIIIIGHT (except for Diabolic muiler of course),and that’s great but I think we’ve been long overdue for a slower, softer pop song for Ai and to me Coral One-Piece or Lavender Lace suit that the most (idk about Striped Romance fitting that,it’s nice but it’s BRIGHT in comparison)
Kanata - If we go off of just Black Ribbon,we may be getting kind of a jirai kei sound which…I’m not sure what that is,maybe straying away from her usual lullaby-ish sound and moving close to dream pop?? Is that the same thing again idk what jirai kei music sounds like but Purple Fairy may mean it’ll have a fantasy theme and be more upbeat for her (if that is the case and it wins please give her elf ears or elf ear jewelry trust me on this it would be SO cute) - while Luxury Cardigan…again, idk it’s not my fave mostly bc it’s a little plainer than the other two
Setsuna - POWER BALLAD!! All of Setsuna’s songs are so upbeat and mostly just pop rock, let her sing a slower song for once if she wears School Rock specifically but maybe she’ll get a more pop punk type song w/ Punk Border or Little Devil :0c which would also be fun idk just a different rock style would be fun for her (also this will be Hayamaru’s first recorded solo which has me like 👀👀 extra excited)
Emma - Ok so it could go one of two ways for me,Colorful Stage could mean we’ll get a fun happy pop song from her which would be fine but if Denim Stitch or Fluffy Chiffon win…hear me out we get a folk / country song and honestly?? I’d be okay with either (got the idea from realizing that Denim Stitch kinda looks like a cowgirl outfit and like tell me I’m wrong you can’t dhdhdj)
Rina - Tsunagaru Connect gets close, but I think Neon Cat specifically could fit a hyperpop song or even kawaii bass which would still be in Rina’s range but still different for it to be fun - Motion Girl could fit more of like a synthy bubblegum pop song where she’s like “cheering on” her crush and telling them (…if it were up to me that would be Mia) how she feels maybe?? Lemon Soda could probably fit either concepts
Shioriko - SPOOKY PIANO SONG!! Like,,why would they give her two outfits themed after ghosts / the undead and then not give her a song like that?? Let Shioko have her spooky Halloween-y song bc it would be funny to have everyone else have regular love songs then you get to hers and it’s just like *DRAMATIC ORGAN PLAYING* - Mint Sailor feels weirdly out of place in this case,bc idk if that outfit would fit that specific concept but I’m sure something could work
Mia - …with outfits like hers my first thought was “just give her a High School Musical type song” and that’s all I’ll say on hers fjdjdj
Lanzhu - If we get hyperpop with Rina,we might get some kind of funky kawaii bass with Lanzhu like yes her previous solos are great obviously but with outfits like Vivid Fur,Street Dancer and ESPECIALLY Pinky Gal that’s the vibe I get from them plus it’d be a nice change up for her
(As usual,I’m aware that there’s a large chance I will be wrong and this is just me guessing wildly bc we don’t have song previews yet BUT again we’ll see :0c they’ll likely be good regardless)

Closing thoughts on Delicious Party Precure
(spoilers)
This ended up being a thoroughly meh season without that many strong points, but at least it didn't have disastrous flaws either.
Tumblr media
I've seen some takes that the season was repetitive with the food theme, and while I agree to some extent, as far as I can see every Precure episode in every season is pretty repetitive so that's nothing new, and I can appreciate that the season had a distinct and memorable theme in the first place. And I think the food spirits are cute.
Meanwhile the other plot elements felt somewhat disjointed, like all the mascots have a similar design but only one of them gets a progressively older human form? And also a super special time travel power? And then they just didn't bother to write a mascot for Amane so she just stares awkwardly at nothing when everyone else says their teary goodbyes to their partners in the ending. Also the Lucky Cat statues were vital in the finale but I don't think they were set up enough for that level of importance (or maybe they were, it's not a secret that I don't pay full attention to Precure episodes so maybe this one is just on me).
There were no standout Cures for me this season, Kokone was my fave but I don't think I'll be thinking of her much after the season is over, Ran was teetering on the edge of being annoying, and Amane felt like a watered down version of Eas/Setsuna. Overall having the dark Cure being brainwashed into villainy is kind of a lame plot element if you ask me, there's no drama in turning her to the good side if she was never actually with the bad guys in the first place. And Yui was a super bland heroine to me, she's not the worst pink Cure ever but I struggle to think of anything interesting about her either. Or her relationship with her late grandma was sweet, but I think that's less about her and more about how a close relationship to a dead granny would make any character more lovable.
The villain captains didn't have a lot going for them either, though I did like the running joke how one of them thought their motto was lame. And his tragic backstory was that he felt excluded because he was unable to enjoy food together, and the solution is that the heroes push him into eating anyway and he conveniently likes it this time? That doesn't sound great. As for the main villain, at first I thought that his story of bitterness about feeling slighted by his furry mentor felt random and unrelated to the rest of the themes of the show, but then again sharing food was a major theme and his master plan was not to share any because he was left without as a kid, so alright that checks out.
Rosemary for best character but unfortunately he didn't get to do enough, though to be fair his portrayal was in line with other Precure major supporting characters so it's not really a flaw in this season specifically. Black Pepper was good too, the male characters had to carry the show for me this time around. Though it did feel a little weird how the Cures ended up being somewhat bystanders in the main story, when the most important character drama involving your main villain was between the men.
Also while I did like Black Pepper, that was only when not in relation to Yui because I really did not like their romance. This also isn't really a dig at DeliParty because "serious boy is not-so-secretly in love with the oblivious cheerful shoujo heroine" is a trope I do not enjoy in general. But even if I don't care for the ship, this kind of open endings where we're supposed to find it charming that the heroine remains oblivious really don't appeal to me either. Make them a couple or have her turn him down, or at least end with her understanding his feelings but saying she needs more time to figure out her own, I don't think this non-resolution is cute at all.
Overall this is going to rank pretty low on my Precure list, but at least things are looking up because I'm super excited for Hero Time next season!

sailor moon for the ask meme hehe
LOL MAX I KNEW YOU'D BE THE ONE TO HIT ME WITH THIS FIRST. And what a good fandom! (I was fairly sure you were gonna make me work with Kuroko or something lmaoooooo) Anyway here we go! Also for clarity, this will be exclusively based on the original Sailor Moon anime (because the manga and Crystal hit very different u know.) Also this is going under a read more bc I wrote you a FUCKING novel.
1. blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most):
Minako Aino/Sailor Venus. Listen, I love her Your Honor. I honestly expected this one to be the most difficult to answer bc boy howdy do I love SO MANY of the characters in this anime, and so many dynamics??? At the end of the day though, Minako has been such a longtime favorite, and I really do love her portrayal in the classic anime. We get her first appearance, so cool and so competent; we find out she's been working on her own for so long, and that she's relieved to be part of the team. As the series progresses we see her grappling with the things she's given up (specifically volleyball, and teenage romances, and non-senshi friendships), and trying to determine whether she can have those things in her life, or if she's going to be forced to constantly choose between a sense of normalcy and this responsibility that she feels so deeply. I always personally interpreted her boy-and-celebrity crazy traits as the feedback from feeling so cut-off from normal teenage experiences, as well as those being a safer outlet for those feelings. It's easier to have a wild crush on a celebrity who knows you don't exist, than on someone who might like you back and be hurt for it one day. I love her so, so, SO much and I think about her far too often. rip.
2. scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped):
Chibiusa/Sailor Chibi Moon. I suspect this isn't supposed to be a literal baby, but holy shit would I adopt Chibiusa tomorrow. She's so tiny and has so many big, over-the-top, feelings that she can't really contain them all. She's a baby whose fight-or-flight has been set to the maximum throw hands setting, and her first appearance is so iconic that I have literally no choice but to stan. I remember thinking she was annoying when I was a teenager, but I was fucking wrong. I love how her courage and fear are portrayed side-by-side; how she wants so BADLY to be an adult, and actively tries to take on responsibilities and consequences of adulthood, but ultimately relies on the "adults" around her to help because at the end of the day she is a little girl. Her friendships with Hotaru and Setsuna are so fucking wholesome I could die, and literally anytime Diana is perched on her head I could destroy the screen because it's so cute. I can't take it.
3. scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave)
Zoisite. This might be cheating, but also I'm of the opinion that no matter how many people might appreciate him, it's not enough. Listen, is there a little bit of the stereotypical bitchy femme gay present in this adaptation of Zoisite? Yes. Is it also balanced by the fact that Zoisite is one of the most competent villains in the entire series? In my opinion, also yes. I can see where other people might not be able to look through the stereotype, but I know quite a few men like him tbh and I think he's allowed to be fleshed out enough as a character that he isn't just the stereotype. Also he's a total, ruthless, bitch and he deserved better out of a top than Kunzite. I said what I said. I love them as a ship but good god did Kunzite just absolutely come unraveled when Zoisite died when you KNOW what that bitchy little twink wanted was for Kunzite to kill the senshi and Beryl and take power for himself, or something. Damn. Also Zoisite orchestrated Nephrites downfall and I think that really does elevate him to an S-tier character, because I needed his gaslighting p*do ass to go.
glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week):
Fisheye. Maybe also Tigereye and Hawkeye, but mostly Fisheye. These characters get a dramatically expanded role in the narrative in the anime, and it's one of my FAVORITE arcs in the entire series, tbh? And I just never see enough people talk about them, so I will do it for all of us. I will shoulder this weight. Queer representation in Sailor Moon is a hot topic, and I could write a whole-ass novel on that on a different post, so I'm going to keep it to this: Fisheye deserves better than what he gets in Crystal and in the manga, and the anime gives it to him. Is he another effeminate gay character who is a villain? Yes (kind-of.) There's definitely some problems to unpack in the choices made with Fisheye as representation, I'll admit. That being said, I love that he's the most competent of his peers, and I love that when betrayed by his incompetent boss, he turns around and joins Sailor Moon's side (and gives his life in the process???) only to have his treachery betrayed by having Sailor Moon and Helios give him what he always wanted -- which was a very innocent wish, and really he's just a victim here. I COULD DO LIKE AN ENTIRE THING JUST ABOUT FISHEYE OKAY I REALLY LOVE HIM. (Prince Saphir is also my runner-eye for this one, but he has less to dig into and less for me to rant about for an entire week.)
poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave):
Haruka Tenoh/Sailor Uranus & Michiru Kaioh/Sailor Neptune. I'm blatantly cheating at this point, but if you're still reading this novel I think you can live with that lmaoooo. There is a lot more controversy surrounding this duo than I personally think that there should be, and I could probably also do an entire post about it, but the main takeaway here is that I love their OG anime portrayal. You can pry it from my cold, dead, hands. Particularly the way that they're written in Sailor Moon S [chef kiss]. I have very strong opinions about both the manga and Crystal's take on Haruka in particular (read: I don't like it), and I've seen a LOT of discourse about these women over the years in fandom spaces. I can't elaborate right now, but if someone wants me to I'm sure I can make a post that will get me blocked by a bunch of people, and have others screaming that I've got anon turned off. (I'm not afraid of anon hate, I just think if you've got something to say you can say it with your whole fucking chest.)(also right now anon is turned ON because I'm in a fic exchange but shhhhhhh.) (Seiya Kou is my runner-up for this one, and probably at least two others.)
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason):
Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Mask. All day, every day. If you didn't see this coming, we didn't watch the same anime. My mans here has two personality speeds: boyfriend (flat, boring, unoriginal; cardboard would fill-in just as nicely) and dad (inspired, show-stopping, original.) This is a guy who's so terrified of his own two brain cells that at one point, while suffering amnesia, he develops a whole-ass borderline racist subconscious persona and then manifests it as a tangible psychic projection. He's very sweet, but utterly unreliable. Dude loses his memories every five episodes. He loses basically every fight he picks. He has the dumbest dialogue the series have ever beheld. God, I love him. God, he's so easy to roast. What a king. (Seiya Kou is also a runner-up for this. This whole ass boy really thought Usagi was ever gonna give him another glance for half a season. RIP.)
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell):
Prince Demande & Nephrite. I feel like these need no explanation, if you've watched the original anime. Though Demande is a bit toned down, and I would probably hesitate, for Saphir's sake. (runner-up: Seiya Kou, but only in specific episodes. my dude she told you she has a boyfriend??? also Haruka will kick his ass long before I get him stuffed into superhell lmaooooooo)

I haven't written much about what I've been up to lately, so here's some word salad updates~ 🥗
NijiGaku Anime
So I started watching the new LL. I hadn't been keeping up with SIFAS' story, but I did read some of it when it first came out. I gotta say, I'm really enjoying all of the changes they decided to make for the anime version of the story, to both the characters and story. It's starting to feel like something coherent. The story in the game was ok, but the main thing that interested me was the interactions with Muse and Aqours, overshadowing the actual "plot" and even Nijigasaki themselves. But the anime really made me interested and excited about the story and characters again. I would be a little annoyed about the personality and dynamic changes, but honestly, I'm used to it by now. LL always ends up doing this sort of thing, and the personalities only seem to become solidified after the anime airs.
A little disappointed in Kasumi's change in some vague ways I don't really feel like describing, but honestly it balances out because Ayumu is fantastic now (previously one of my least cared for of the group.) Yu's personality is surprisingly super gay fun and I'm really excited for her and Ayumu's dynamic in particular. They're so cute. Seriously feel like I'm gonna ship them hard.
I also really like Rina's initial personality in this. Not only is she bad at expressing emotions through her face, but she also seems bad at expressing them through words too. I feel like this is gonna be much more interesting than her already being cutesy and genki like in the promo stuff and SIFAS.
When Karin was first shown, I had mixed feelings. At first I was like oh god I'm gay and she's beautiful. But the whole sexuality flaunting thing kind of put me off for several reasons I don't really wanna get into explaining. I really didn't know how to feel. I started liking her a little more during SIFAS, when she competed against Muse in DDR and lost... started feeling like I was getting a glimpse of her real personality without the whole sexy idol persona. Although not much has happened in the anime with her yet, she's giving me Nozomi vibes and I love it. I actually think if I had gone into this without previous knowledge of the characters, I'd be betting she'd become my fave for sure.
My list has gone from Kasumi > Rina > Kanata / Emma > Karin > Ai > Setsuna > Ayumu > Shizuku to Yuu > Ayumu > Kasumi / Karin > Rina > Kanata / Emma > Ai > Setsuna > Shizuku
Still biased a bit towards characters that have shown up more in the first two eps, so it'll undoubtedly change. But It's really interesting how much the characters I already felt I had good placements for changed so much.
Tumblr media
Edit for episode 3, because I didn't post this fast enough. Student council speedrun was fantastic. Yu continues to be incredibly gay. I wonder how this episode will affect the ships people will gravitate towards. LL has always been a fairly monoship fandom, heavily gravitating towards specific pairs. Of course that's largely the fault of canon itself, often pushing and developing single ships. Well, I suppose we saw a big change with Aqours, though, especially with season two. But even then, the ships tended to stay at least between girls of the same year (aside from my rarepair, shout-out to YohaRiko.) Now, I wonder. From the very beginning, before Yu even had a name, it felt like they were really pushing the shippy stuff @ the viewer. I wonder if that’s still gonna be the angle. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it yet. I really want to see more YuAyu rather than YuSetsu, but I can't really be mad at more gay content unless they try to make it a DEEP story and then fail to resolve it but haha they'd NEVER do that, I'm sure!!
As for the others... I'm guessing they're gonna push RinAi, KarinEmma, YuuKasu, and maybe YuuShizu? My original guesses were that AiKarin would be a thing, evoking NozoEli v3. But I guess that'd be too predictable a third time. KarinEmma sounds like it could be cute and sweet, RinAi feels like it has adorable potential, and YuKasu vs. YuAyu sounds like it could have some good comedic rival-y potential, given they don't make Kasumi super serious about it and make it really angsty. Not that a cute idol show would ever do such a thing haha!!!!!
Higurashi Gou
Also started Higurashi. I doubt many people know this, but I used to be a major Higurashi fan before I got into Touhou. It was my main "fandom" I guess, even though there wasn't really that much of a fandom to interact with comparatively. Anyway, despite that, I didn't think I'd get into this remake super hard... but I'm really loving it so far. The art style is really pretty and eye candy, and it turns out it's a direct continuation of the story rather than a remake. Very excited to see where it's going, and also to see a lot of my baby Rena again.
Tumblr media
An interesting difference to me as I'm rewatching are my feelings for Keiichi. While I don't hate him, over the years I've really grown tired of the generic male leads (especially in harem anime) like him. Of course, he's definitely not AS generic as they come, or maybe perhaps that's just my bias from when I used to really like him. The me back then found him unique enough to stand beside the girls. Nowadays, I definitely can't say the same. At least he doesn't grate on my nerves as much as most other harem anime protags do, however. I feel like despite lacking the quirks that make the girls so likeable and unique, he still has something going for him... perhaps the fact he's framed as inherently different from everyone else, because he comes from the city, and the way he acts a bit more realistically to the scary things that are happening. Although those things are obviously explained away later, at least for now I still accept him for what he is, old bias or not.
Genshin Impact
Been playing Genshin Impact religiously and loved every second of it. Though I've caught up with the main story content, so sadly it's slowed down. I'd never heard of this game before it came out, so I was absolutely wowed that such a game was f2p. I've heard a lot of people criticizing it because they added gacha in at the last minute, and I definitely understand being annoyed through the pov of someone who was anticipating it. But part of me is still really thankful that the game is free at all. I suppose that full but paid 60 dollar game would still be a better experience, but because of my non-existent budget situation, I may not have ended up playing it at all.
Aside from the arguably shitty monetization practices, however, the game is fantastic. It really is as similar to BoTW as people have mentioned, and I really appreciate that. BoTW, from a gameplay standpoint, is absolutely my favorite game. It's exactly what I want from any given game. So I really appreciated this. The story and characters of Genshin are also really interesting. I really like Qiqi, Venti, Fischl, and Xingqiu, among others. I spent a while rerolling for Qiqi or Venti 5*s, and eventually got an account with Qiqi. Venti on the other hand I've been trying to roll for but sadly haven't gotten. I have 1 roll left before the banner ends, so hopefully.. My friends whaled him for me. I swear I tried to stop them! I owe them my soul...
Tumblr media
HoloLive, Pikamee & Vtubing
I briefly started getting into HoloLive a little while ago. After the Aloe stuff, I started worrying a bit about how the company handles these situations as well as the girls' freedoms and how much of their donation money they actually get.. (I made a post about it a while back.) After a while my worries died down a bit, but then came back full force with the Coco and Haachama situation. After that and one too many uncomfortable sexual jokes, I decided to just distance myself from HL. It's a shame, because I really enjoyed their personalities, but it was making me feel uncomfortable more often than not.
I told myself it’s fine, I’ve got Pikamee if I ever feel like watching vtubers again. And then like a week later... Well, it’s not really something I wanna talk about here, but she made some posts on twitter that made me too uncomfortable to continue watching her either.
On a much lighter note... A friend of mine showed us how to use prprlive and facerig to use the Touhou CB Live2D models, and Asa and I played around with Mokou, Kaguya, and Lyrica’s. It was quite fun, and I do look forward to using the Kaguya one for private streams on one of my servers. I’ve actually always wanted to try out vtubing stuff myself, but not really publicly. Of course, the costs for getting a model drawn and made specifically for me are too much for something I’m not really committing to, so this is perfect. I’m excited~
Touhou Cannonball & Kagura Thoughts
It’s been a long time since I talked about Touhou CB on my blog, and I’m pretty sure I left things on a pretty bad note. Mainly dissatisfied with Mokou’s portrayal for pretty shallow reasons on my part, despite they game having just started and having a lot of room to grow. And grow it did. While I quit pretty early in because of that, Asa decided to take over my account. She realized that it was pretty easy to upgrade any given character you had to a 5* without having to rely much on the gacha. She ended up playing a lot with the goal of upgrading everyone we had. I came back to it around July and actually had a lot of fun with it. The cast had gotten much bigger and we really enjoyed playing on multiplayer. It wasn't the best game ever from a gameplay standpoint, but it definitely had it's charm. The announcement of its death, although unsurprising, came at the worst time. Asa and I actually cried a little when we saw the announcement, ngl. The game had such good, wholesome, Touhouy vibes to it. Nonetheless, we made the most out of the last month or so after the announcement. We played a LOT of multiplayer and had a lot of really cute and good interactions with other players. Near the end, we realized that Lyrica was the only character from the normal banner we were missing, so we grinded like crazy (mostly Asa) to try to get her... we ended up getting a number of 5*s but none Lyrica... she eluded us to the very end. It was quite sad, but how hard we worked for it still felt satisfying somehow. We were able to max out our multiplayer level and complete a ton of goals we wouldn’t have otherwise.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So after this bittersweet experience with Touhou gacha, and all the scummy things I've been hearing about Lost Word, I've been thinking like... I'm done with Touhou gacha, at least for now. Don't wanna hear anything else about it for a good while. And then the 25th anniversary hits and they announce Kagura. Ugh. Please, give me a break. Needless to say, I'm gonna have to give it a try. Touhou is my life, I love rhythm games, I love Touhou music, and I love character collecting games. And I've been waiting for something to replace SIF gameplay in my heart for a long time. I'd banked my hopes on SIFAS but it's really barely a rhythm game so.... at least now that I've gone through CB's death and seen how cruddy LW is, I'll have lower standards and not get my hopes up too high.
If you got this far, thanks for reading my rambles and have a good day~

Okay but I’m going to hit you with a curveball this time: Sailor Moon for blorbos?
blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most): My favorite character is Makoto Kino. She's everything that I would want in a sister. (Not that my actual sister isn't amazing but she's also not an inhumanely-strong reincarnated warrior princess...as far as I'm aware.) Makoto is everything that I would want to be. Her struggles are relatable. She's everyone's friend and she's loyal to the death. I would say either Ami or Usagi since I relate to them so strongly but part of that relation is noticing their flaws too easily.
scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped): Diana is adorable and the best kitten in the world. I would say ChibiUsa or Hotaru but, as with Ami and Usagi, my strong empathy and relation for/to them sours some of the joy that I find in their characters. I would want to give them a hug before I would want to pinch their cheeks.
scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): With "Sailor Moon" being thirty years old, I don't think that any character can truly be called "underappreciated" these days. However, Hotaru and Setsuna canonically get less screen time than any of the other sailor soldiers and they have some of the worst destinies and lives. Both of them need a hug and some ice cream.
glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week): The Big Beautiful Woman from the manga and the first episode of the original anime is my absolute favorite one-bit character. Despite only being in the manga for one or two pages, she somehow garnered enough crew respect to end up in the anime. Then, she's even in the Another Story game! I liked the Big Beautiful Woman enough that I started a little website dedicated to her way back in the character shrine days. I never did anything with the page but I still have some of the sprites and things on my computer.
poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave): I don't usually care for the enemies or other problematic characters, but I've written more than one fanfiction where Queen Beryl is redeemed so I guess I'll choose her. I can recall at least three stories off of the top of my head where I redeem Queen Beryl to some capacity so I clearly have some affection--or at least interest--for her.
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason): Based on my drafts and published works, I'm fairly mean to Haruka. I love Haruka but I have both serious angst pieces as well as comedic hijinks works where she's the butt monkey. Poor Haruka; now I feel like repenting by writing something cute.
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell): Would it be cliche to say Chaos? For more human characters, original anime Jadeite is a misogynist, murderous dudebro douche before we even had the term dudebro. Unlike the other Generals, he doesn't really have any canonical redeeming qualities (though fandom jumped on that train real quick) and he's just mean.
These were super-fun! "Sailor Moon" will always be my one true (anime) love. I hope that the answers were worth the wait, Babs. XD

@lilyginnyblackv2 Your criticisms are always so thought out and I appreciate that wholeheartedly😭😭😭. I couldn’t help but come back to this post to add my own 2¢.
I’m standing firm on two things: 1) that Sunrise needs to lay the story out entirely before I feel comfortable putting together a formal criticism because just settling on, “I don’t understand it therefore I think it’s bad,” (which is a common thing that I’ve been running into) doesn’t cut it for me and 2) this series was not written in a way that compliments a week by week release for all of the reasons you have stated above.
Just like any work of fiction, you get out what you put into it so if you watch it with a bad attitude, you’ll find that a lot of the story sucks. And I don’t think it’s 100% Yashahime that sucks 😂. For me, personally, this series is nothing to write home about but I didn’t expect it to be. Nothing–absolutely nothing–will mean as much to me as the story of InuYasha did and also Sunrise is not going off of a Rumiko Takahashi manga which definitely complicates things. Yashahime seems to fit in the “standard shonen” category of anime just fine and is a bit cheesy at times but not horrible or unbareable. Some friends of mine who have never seen InuYasha before are enjoying the series which tells me that it can stand on its own at least.
I feel like Yashahime hit the fandom where it hurt the most: happily ever afters. After traveling with Miroku, Sango, InuYasha, Kagome, Shippo, and Kirara for 56 volumes, we came to the conclusion that they all deserved peace. It stings to learn that Sunrise feels differently, but I really respect the studio for challenging that notion because life doesn’t come with happily ever afters. There will always be a next obstacle and it will always be waiting right around the corner. Our faves get at least a full decade of an obstacle which is excessive but bold.
And that’s the thing about this sequel: Sunrise is making all these audacious choices that aren’t necessarily dazzling but end up blowing me away regerdless. It’s like the studio is asking for us to have faith in them, but that’s difficult given their lack of transparency. In a week by week format, the “mystery” surrounding the whereabouts of the original gang feels less like a literary device and more like a torture device that rightfully irritates fans of InuYasha. Not only did we kiss the idea of a “happily ever after” goodbye, we haven’t been able to justify it for ten weeks. All we have so far are a collection of cryptic clues that can be infinitely analyzed. It’s exhausting and not for the weary of heart.
There are genuine critiques I already have for the series, most of them regarding the fighting which has been underwhelming but I do honestly love Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha with all my heart. I love their dynamic, I love their designs, and I love their personalities. I can recognize that they’re flawed but that’s a good thing–it makes me adore them even more. Not everyone feels similarly but I think that’s kind of the beauty of fiction; what someone likes someone else might not ✨👉🏻😎👉🏻✨.
I want this series to unfold beautifully in spite of its shortcomings. Keeping up with the interviews makes it clear that it’s precious to the creators, voice actors, and just about everyone else on the team. I’m also a content creator so the sympathy I have and the effort I see hits home a little. No one wants to write something that’s garbage so I do believe Sunrise’s heart is in the right place even if the execution of the series might not be. Rumiko Takahashi is kind of easy to impress, but she enjoys the story so that’s reassuring in an odd way. But even if Yashahime ends up being a dumpster fire, I have no problem cozying up to it and feeling its warmth.
There’s lots of other official InuYasha material out and about in Japan that isn’t necessarily good but fun to enjoy nonetheless. And right now, that’s just where I am with Yashahime. I’m still very interested to see how it all turns out and, like I mentioned earlier, I’m rooting for it 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻. This is Sunrise though so my fingers need to be crossed extra tightly.
With every day that passes, I’m starting to see more and more Japanese fans voicing the same criticisms and concerns as some of the overseas fans when it comes to Yashahime. Such as the pacing (テンポ) being bad, the girls’ story not being interesting, being more interested in the OG characters, having very little to no content, re-using characters, the plot not making sense, or the series as a whole not being interesting.
When the HNY Twitter posted the image of the updated Character Relationship Chart for Episodes 6 - 10, a lot of Japanese fans (along with overseas fans) were wondering where some OG characters were: Rin, Sango, Miroku, Shippo, even Jaken and the Sango and Miroku’s twin daughters. When posts are made by the official Twitter pointing out the appearance of a demon in an upcoming episode that also appeared in the manga, with it there are usually posts by Japanese and international fans alike voicing interest, but also just straight up confusion.
While this series is meant to be the next generation’s story - the focus is meant to be on the girl’s and their journey - it is hard for old time fans to do that, because there is just so much uncertainty surrounding the parents/OG characters. By not knowing if the OG characters are truly safe, and by having a lot of mystery and intrigue surrounding the OG characters - it makes it hard for the new fans to properly focus on, bond with, and care about the next generation characters/the girls especially. Even more so when the writing for them isn’t the best.
That’s not to say that there aren’t plenty of Japanese and international fans that are still enjoying the series, there are, but if the writing keeps up like this? I don’t expect anything good.
I know a lot of people kind of just expect or think that all next generation attempts end up a mess like this. And it is a totally valid expectation to have, because many do. However, I feel Fruits Basket Another was a really well done take on a next generation story. Is it on the exact same level as Fruits Basket? No, but it doesn’t attempt to be either, imo.
Some of the things that Fruits Basket Another does right:
1. The story is kept short and isn’t made overly convoluted or complex.
2. The manga-ka wrote it.
3. There is proper (and really top-notch) detail consistency because of Point 2.
4. Going along with this, the call backs in the series are well handled, make sense, aren’t overused, and usually end up tying back to actual development for the OG characters. There is also just a general string of themes from the original series that shine through in the next gen. story and some proper resolutions are given that help elevate some parts of the original in some ways.
5. The characters, personality-wise, feel like the children of the next generation. You can see the influence of their parents in their personalities, but also the influence of their other family members (specifically uncles) or the other Zodiac members that their parents were closed to.
6. We know that the OG characters are doing okay. For most of the series we never see the OG characters beyond shadows and the like, but that isn’t really necessary, because we know that they are okay. Yeah, we would love to learn more about them (I’m always down for that), but because the OG cast are doing okay (generally speaking), then we - as fans and readers - can shift our focus to the next generation and come to like and appreciate them.
Bonus: One of the next gen kids calling out one of the more YIKES inducing plotlines in the original series.
This has just been something that’s been on my mind over the last week or so, especially with the most recent episodes of HNY. I think a well done next generation series can be done (Fruits Basket Another as noted above, is a good example), but HNY isn’t currently on track to be one of those rare examples. It would be nice to be wrong and see the series pull itself together and pull off a really well done plot, but as the initial hype for the series fades, more and more fans are starting to lose faith in the writing and direction of the series in general.
These are just some thoughts that I’ve had, but please feel free to add and share your own.

SHIPPING INFO | ABOUT MUN. REPOST DON’T REBLOG
Tumblr media
✧ WHAT’S YOUR OTP FOR YOUR MUSE ?? Oh goodness, a really hard question right off the bat. That’s not fair.
When it comes to Minako, I honestly have several OTPs I’m currently enjoying: Minako x Makoto Minako x Kunzite Minako x Rei Minako x Usagi
Minako had easy chemistry with those listed above, but they’re not the ONLY pairings I’m willing to ship. They’re just my faves right now <3
✧ WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO RP WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING ?? First and foremost, I play Minako as a pansexual cisfemale. This means she is pretty flexible when it comes to shipping her with others. However, I am also a believer in chemistry between our characters. Sometimes, we might just stumble upon a pairing and everything just clicks from the first interaction. Other times, we might have to get through a few threads to really feel the chemistry between our characters.
I’m pretty willing to rp any type of shipping (romantic, platonic, enemies, best friends, etc.). All I ask is that you communicate with me. I’m a HUGE supporter of keeping open communication between Muns, as I feel that’s what creates such effective and powerful ships <3
✧ HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE ?? As a general rule of thumb, I will not role play anything romantically/sexually shippy with Muns under the age of 18 regardless of the age of our muses. This is to keep everyone comfortable, safe, and legal.
When it comes to our muses, I don’t really have too much of a preference in age gap? Mostly because once the 30th Century rolls around, Minako is several hundred years old. I would just prefer it that if our muses at least appeared roughly the same age. But that’s just for romantic ships.
Non-romantic ships, give me EVERYONE. Minako needs friends, enemies, and everything in between <3
✧ ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING ?? Ehh, yes and no?
Romantic ships -- Mostly yes.  Minako is open to be suggestive or flirty with anyone, but her actually stepping forward and making a move, romantically or sexually, all comes from good chemistry with her partners. I’ve communicated with all the Muns I currently ship with, and keep an open line of communication with them as we go so we can come up with headcanons and ideas for our muses. <3
Non-romantic ships -- All I ask is that you read my rules and have an actual want to role play with Minako Aino / Sailor Venus herself. <3
✧ HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY’RE CONSIDERED NSFW ?? Any time breasts, crotches, or butts are mentioned, I’m pretty quick on the [nsfw] tag. I will start to throw things under cuts if they’re sexual in nature and/or something I wouldn’t want a 13 year old to stumble upon.
✧ WHO ARE OTHER MUSES YOU SHIP YOUR MUSE WITH ?? I am super super crazy about @thunderinyourheart‘s Makoto, @kunsaito‘s Kunzite/Saito, @featherchan‘s Rei, and @tearfulusagi‘s Usagi <3 These ships pretty much all happened naturally through almost instant chemistry between the muns and I, and then our muses themselves. <3
✧ DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU ?? I would prefer it, yes, so I’m aware that you’re interested in starting something up. This also allows us to come up with headcanons and a general history between our characters, or a general progression between them as they work from friends to ship. <3
✧ HOW OFTEN DO YOU LIKE TO SHIP ?? I’m usually pretty down for any sort of shipping. Non-romantic ships are ALWAYS welcome, for sure. Romantic ships just need chemistry <3
✧ ARE YOU SHIP OBSESSED OR SHIP MORE-OR-LESS ?? I think I’m a happy medium. I love the ships I have right now, but I also don’t mind adding new ones.
✧ ARE YOU MULTISHIP ?? Each thread takes place in its own unique timeline unless explicitly stated otherwise. So yes, I am!
✧ WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SHIP(S) IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM ?? Oh god, I could go on for DAYS.
Usagi x Mamoru, Usagi x Seiya, Usagi x Haruka, Ami x Makoto, Ami x Taiki, Ami x Zoicite, Rei x Minako, Rei x Usagi, Rei x Jadeite, Makoto x Minako, Makoto x Nephrite, Minako x Kunzite, Haruka x Michiru, Setsuna x Mamoru, Hotaru x Chibiusa, Seiya x Yaten, Taiki x Yaten, and I’m sure I’m still missing some.
✧ FINALLY, HOW DOES ONE SHIP WITH YOU ?? Taaaaaaaalk tooooooooooo meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Sailor Moon Musical - Le Mouvement Final
So on the 23rd of October I went to Aichi to see the Sailor Moon musical~ Our bus arrived at 6am, so we spent the day chilling and checking out the Pokemon Centre and the poor selection of Digimon items at Kiddyland…
From Nagoya, it took an hour and a half by train to get to the venue, Ai Plaza Toyohoshi. We were cutting it really close (missed a train), but managed to power walk there in time. Thankfully goods were being sold in the break and after the show.
Unfortunately, the venue was dead.
The first floor is S tickets (8000 yen), the top floor is A tickets (6000 yen?). A third of the first floor was occupied, with a smattering of seats in the top part.
I feel so bad for all the cast and crew. It must have been really awkward to be singing to a bunch of empty seats. I’m not sure how much this was promoted, but having the venue so far out of the city really didn’t help things.
Personally, I had wanted to go to see the show in Osaka, but thanks to Aichi not being sold out, we ended up having really amazing seats ;; We were ninth row from the stage and I was on an aisle seat. It was seat 29, and I was going fight my friend for seat 30 (lucky number lol) but I’m glad I didn’t.
The show itself is explanatory. It’s the finale of the manga.
The start with Mamoru half proposing was wonderful. You could feel the audience’s hearts getting excited for Usa. It was obviously much more condensed than the manga, which I was thankful for. It gave us time to jump straight into things; however, the cute dance between Mamo and Usa at the start was really nice!
Chibi-usa was gone from the start, instead of leaving part way through. Ami is the one to notice something is wrong with Usagi, rather than Minako. Iron Mouse isn’t killed straight up either. She’s able to go back to Galaxia, say she’ll do better next time and gets a reprieve after having her butt handed to her. We get a rift in the four Galaxy Sailors here.
(Honestly, Seiren and Crow can step on me any day of the god damn week)
Chibi Chibi is insanely adorable. I am honestly not a fan of small children, don’t want kids and always ??? at people when they try to coo and tell me how cute their munchkin is. But damn. This kid was cute. It didn’t feel fake sweet or like she was out of place.
I also really enjoyed the scene where the girls are trying to figure out whats up with the Lights. Minako mentions they might be chicks. Setsuna has chibi faces of them on a white board. “….then they’d wear mini skirts if they were scouts…” A fight ensures as she tries to fuku them up, while Minako and Makoto are mortified haha
Usagi being forced to remember what happened to Mamo happened straight after Mercury and Jupiter dying, so it was very raw. I don’t think Venus’ loss really had as much of an impact. Rei’s did. For me, at least. Rei’s always been my number one girl, but her last thing she said was ‘sorry we couldn’t protect you’. I think it says a lot about her character, especially when most other people just said ‘Usagi’.
Usagi has a dream where everyone is alive and Mamo’s a chef and it’s all just very pure and sweet and then she wakes up and everyone’s still dead  The scene in front of the door was sufficiently eerie. I think Usagi’s wavering and ChibiChibi’s innocence helped this scene a lot as well.
At one point after the interval, Galaxia is singing. She walks down the aisle, right next to me. HO DAMN! Even with those stupid coloured lips she’s amazing! Her performance was one of the best, even when she was speaking, her expressions and pose said it all.
Kakyuu’s death was touching. As was the Lights. The problem with this arc is that everyone dies. Done in a weekly anime or manga, it’s probably more emotional, but losing 10+ characters in under three hours makes it a little less so. In saying that, I cried a couple of times lmao It was nice that there weren’t as many Senshi tho. This isn’t Oprah folks.
The scene where everyone is resurrected was great. The song was powerful, the girls looked bad ass. Wonderful. 100/10. Chibi Chibi talking to Chibi Moon was also really good. And of course, when she transformed as well. Everything about her is just stunning. Her outfit was perfect, she was perfect, 100% would cry over again.
I also really like how it discusses all the past enemies. They put up images of all the old enemies, up to Galaxia, on a sheet that came down in front of the stage. It gave it a warped feeling, and kinda made it more space like. Unlike the manga, the musical goes more into detail about who Cosmos is. Same about the whole siblings thing.
The wedding scene was really cute. I’m not sure if it happened in all versions, but Minako said she’d definitely get married next. Of course, Rei is the one that catches the bouquet ;;
Once everything is finished, The End comes up on the screen. They also do a montage of the previous musicals from this run. A lot of the audience was emotional. I only saw last year’s and this year’s live, but it’s super nostalgic. Afterwards, they did the usual performance stuff, mixed with songs from previous musicals as well. Yuuga was both Tuxedo Mask and King Endymion. She teases the audience so well I can't deal with her.
There was a point Yuuga came down the aisle. Yes, right next to me. We made eye contact. I squealed and leaned into my friend after she passed. The crowd was losing it. At one point a dude behind me asked his SO ‘…that’s a dude right?’ and the SO just scoffed ‘no’.
I’ve always understood Yuuga’s appeal, but it never clicked with me personally. But nine rows from her? I get it. Even my friend, who is a as straight as an arrow, went wow a few times. God bless Yuuga.
My heart’s still racing <3
It would have been nice to see the Crows in their true form. And get to see more of the girls going back to their own castles and stuff, but what can you do? Considering the time frame, they got through a heck of a lot of this arc, and there’s only so much they can do with budget constraints. Aichi certainly did not help in that. I’m honestly not sure why they didn’t make tickets cheaper and just give those that had pre booked an extra bonus or something (as it is we got cute post cards)
This musical had a really nice balance of comedy and seriousness. It felt quite real. The directorship was really good. Some of the songs were repeated from earlier musicals. Considering they were some of my faves, I’m not complaining.
The cast was excellent, as always. Thanks to the seats, I was able to see in so much more detail and was able to make lots of eye contact with the cast haha! Uranus completely stole my heart with her gaze <3
At one point I was signing up to buy the dvd. Unfortunately I didn’t ask if I could pay later (has happened other times I preorder these dvds). She didn’t confirm that with me either. So I filled out the form only to tell her I didn’t have the cash (how much money do they expect people to have on them?? Most people were spending at least 3000 on goods (many were spending more) so they expected you to have at least 20,000 ($200) on you for one musical? That’s ridiculous). She was honestly really fucking rude and basically snatched the form out of my hands and tossed it in the trash. The staff at Osaka were so much nicer.
The guys at the door were cool, and a lady was sitting in our seat. I didn’t want to cause a scene so we went to a staff member and asked to be guided to our seat (obviously he then mentioned the other chick was in the wrong seat). There was a surprising amount of foreigners, considering how few people were actually there ;; Someone I knew actually saw me but I didn’t see them haha ;;; The fans were really nice.
Except for that old fucker who felt asleep and started snoring before the interval. Fuck him. (There was a lot of old people there? Like I’m talking 55+?? Why)
Anyway, as we left, walking back to the station, a lady cut in front of us. It was one of the actresses! She had track pants with an off the shoulder white shirt, which I thought was a little odd, but then I saw she still had the shoes on. I’m still trying to figure out who she is. We didn’t approach her – she had headphones in, and kept glancing around to make sure people weren’t following her. That’s one reason why crowds are kicked out so quickly here – this is the third time I’ve seen cast leave. Depending on the area/fame, they’ll walk or taxi out of the venue, so the chance of them being spotted and harassed is pretty high. The faster the crowds are gone, the safer it is for them. In any case, I hope she enjoyed whatever she bought lol
I enjoyed it! If I lived closer I’d go see it again. I heard other people say the same. My friend was surprised by how professional it was. She really enjoyed it! I recommend seeing it if you can! If not, please support it officially where possible. Also, if you have any questions feel free to ask! This isn’t as in depth as normal, sorry ;;

Best of the Year 2016
Another year, another super late Best of the year list Here's the posts for 2013, 2014, and 2015, so you can see the stuff I liked with respect to what came out in those years. As usual, I'm no pro reviewer and this list is far from being all inclusive so if there was something cool you liked you can sound off in the comments below.
Movies Deadpool Captain America: Civil War Kubo & the 2 Strings The Big Short Arrival Queen Of Katwe Moana Star Wars: Rouge One Zootopia Hidden Figures
Tumblr media
Arrival is the best out of this list and very good space-themed sci-fi seems to be clinching that spot pretty frequently. Civil War was the most exciting and has heaped plenty of coal into the hypetrain for Spiderman: Homecoming and Black Panther.
TV Stranger Things Designated Survivor Billions Luke Cage Atlanta Black Mirror Westworld The Good Place
Tumblr media
Despite sci-fi & fantasy being my favorite genre, Designated Survivor and Billions kept me hooked more than Stranger Things and Westworld did (I'm surprised myself). Falling short on sitcoms/comedies yet again; honestly, I don't understand.
Music
Albums Coloring Book - Chance the Rapper Junk - M83 The Human Condition - Jon Bellion Leo Rising - Karmin Stillness In Wonderland - Little Simz We Got It From Here... Thank You 4 Your Service - A Tribe Called Quest /W:/2016ALBUM/ - Deadmau5 Telefone - Noname Rare - PJ
Tumblr media
Singles Kill 'em with Kindness - Selena Gomez Can't Stop The Feeling - Justin Timberlake Never Forget You - Zara Larsson & MNEK No Money - Galantis 24K Magic - Bruno Mars This Is What You Came For - Calvin Harris ft. Rihanna False Prophets - J. Cole Want You - Yemi Alade Make Me Like You - Gwen Stefani Mama Said - Lukas Graham Borders - M.I.A. Cheap Thrills - Sia Pree Me - Burna Boy Ultralight Beam - Kanye West ft. Chance the Rapper, Kirk Franklin, Kelly Price, The Dream All these are usual suspects. Ultralight Beam isn't an official single, but too good to leave out.
Tech Microsoft Surface Studio Electric Skateboards (Boosted Boards, ZBoard, InBoard M1, etc.) Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 Tesla Solar Roof Roli BLOCKS The Tesla Solar Roof hopefully becomes the standard in home-building in the nearest future; and just like 2015's presentation of the Powerwall (which has since been updated), this made me so emosh. The Surface Studio is gorgeous and the idea of an all-in-one + on-screen drawing tablet is brilliant and is apt for it's name, also fits in line with the Surface Pro; unfortunately many reviews have been disappointed with the drawing/writing experience which is surprising since they don't have the same gripes with drawing & writing on the Surface Pro. Electric skateboards are 2016's "hoverboards" (shudders) and in keeping up with Back To The Future, there's self-lacing sneakers from Nike. The Roli Blocks are like a mobile electronic music studio and can replace a MIDI controller + computer with them and an iPhone/iPad.
Tumblr media
Apps Pokémon GO (Android, iOS) Quartz News (iOS, Android) Houseparty (iOS, Android) Tribe (iOS, Android) Read Scripture (Android, iOS) Figma (web) Affinity Designer (Mac, Windows) Adobe Experience Design (Mac, Windows) SketchBook Motion (iPad)
Pokémon GO was a phenomenon! It got people to go out side and is one of the best online-offline integrations since Foursquare & Gowalla in 2009. It's sorta sad that the enthusiasm as waned. Quartz did something unique by giving news in an Instant Messaging format. I've tried many RBT (Read Bible Through) programs and Read Scripture is the one that’s gonna get me through; it's got illustrations and video commentary from The Bible Project that bring to fore the whole narrative. I crossed out Tribe because they’ve since pivoted from augmented messaging (linked) to being just like Houseparty. Then the Sketch competitors came out in full force and with Windows versions!
Games I Am Setsuna (PS4, PS Vita, Switch, PC) Final Fantasy XV (PS4, XBox One) Fire Emblem Fates (3DS) Epistory (Win, Mac, Linux) Uncharted 4 (PS4) Overwatch (PS4, Xbox One, PC) Adventures of Mana (Android, iOS, PS Vita) Firewatch (PS4, PC, XBox One) Ratchet & Clank (PS4)
Tumblr media
While SquareEnix veered significantly form traditional JRPG gameplay with FF XV they used Setsuna to hold on to those roots; it's refreshing to see turn-based JRPG present day. I don't like online multiplayer or FPS but Overwatch is amazing; the art style, characters and colorfulness AND the gameplay are totally fun. I was beginning to think we'd never see another triple-A platformer but then came Ratchet & Clank.
Football Oghenekaro Etebo Alex Iwobi
Tumblr media
Give it up for the Naija boys
Cars Tesla Model S (2016) Honda Civic (2016) Chevy Volt (2016)
Tumblr media
The Model S is here again for the simple reason that the grill (or lack thereof) looks way better. That plus the Autopilot and stupendously fast P100D. While the Civic is a pretty basic car, the styling of this one makes it look fancier, plus it's got great reviews. And though I'm not fond of American cars, the Volt has been a welcome addition to the Hybrid/EV wave, with this 2nd gen looking sleeker than the first. Can't wait till all my fave cars are all electric. Spoiler Alert: Tesla Model 3 will be my fav car of 2018.

Sailor Moon and Star Trek
Sailor Moon:
How I entered/learned about the said game/show/movie/etc of that fandom: I found it on TV one day when I was about nine or ten. I thought it was set in New York because I was watching the Dic dub. I was hooked immediately.
Fave character: This is tough because I love so many of them, but if I had to pick, I’d say Chibiusa, Hotaru, Setsuna, Makoto, and Minako
Least fave character: Most of the antagonists from Stars because I just wasn’t into that arc much at all. It’ll be interesting to see how I feel about it when SMC eventually gets around to it since I’ll be in my 30′s instead of in my teens.
OTP(s): There are so many because I’m a multishipper. So, I guess the most succinct way to put it is that I ship everything that’s canon. I am cool with any mix-n-match Scout/Scout pairing as long as it’s age appropriate and not incest. I pretty much am down for shipping anything that isn’t creepy basically.
Pairing that everyone likes but I don’t get: I can’t really think of any
Fave thing about the fandom: It really brings people together. Like it didn’t matter what country we were from in college. You can find Moonies anywhere and squee with them.
The most despised thing: Ship wars, but I’ve not seen any for the fandom in a while. But I think for every fandom I’m in, the instant ship wars start I want out. I have unfollowed Voltron and Bleach blogs because shipwars recently I hate ship wars so much.
If there is something I would change from said game/show/movie/etc., what would it be: Less inappropriate kissing. Like ffs, Takeuchi, why couldn’t Mamoru and Usagi had a nice sober first kiss? I mean tbh, sometimes the way romance is displayed is just plz no. Luckily that’s like only a handful of moments
Star Trek:
How I entered/learned about the said game/show/movie/etc of that fandom: When I was two going on three TNG started airing on TV, so if I had a nightmare on the night it aired, I’d go downstairs and my sister would be watching it. So I’d fall asleep to it and it’s why Patrick Stewart’s voice is kind of a comfort object to me. When I was about three and was watching TV more regularly, sometimes I’d find TOS reruns to watch and I was in LOVE because of all the bright colors and how Spock was so smart but also had trouble expressing his emotions properly (like me) and I watched it whenever I could until I saw “The Empath,” because McCoy’s distress upset me too much. Then I didn’t watch TOS again until idek high school or something because it was back on TV in reruns again. I ended up watching the majority of TOS, TNG, and Enterprise in college though because I was bored enough and they were marathony enough. I need to poke at Voyager and DS9 again because when I tried to watch them when they were airing I couldn’t get into either.
Fave character: E V E R Y O N E on the Enterprise omfg on all the shows. Also a lot of side characters. I just really love Star Trek omg
Least fave character: I didn’t like Mudd or the Ferengi episodes of TNG. There are probably others but I don’t like them so I don’t think about them
OTP(s): I ship a lot of ships spanning three shows and thirteen movies. Some are het, some are slash, and some are femslash. There are seriously too many to list. I can go into more detail about shipping if someone wants to ask me though
Pairing that everyone likes but I don’t get: I can’t think of any
Fave thing about the fandom: The fanworks
The most despised thing: I have my quibbles but I’m not sure any of them could be called something I despise about the fandom. I do like how I rarely see ship wars in this fandom. I mean I’m sure they exist, but I’m glad I’ve never even heard a whisper about them
If there is something I would change from said game/show/movie/etc., what would it be: I think modern Star Trek has moved away from the envelope pushing the older series and movies would do. Like the older stuff kind of pushes things as far as they can before they get in trouble with the censors and if modern Star Trek could even just push that gently it’d be doing more than it’s currently doing. I’m hoping Discovery will pick up the baton since AOS kind of fumbled it.
===
Name a fandom (that I at least know of and are in), and I will give you these answers
