its hard to really emphasize just how much i do not care what you do with fanwork and headcanon btw... especially without sounding like im just saying it to prop up my other point

i really don't care if you want to portray them that way. im not a stranger to people trying to police what i can and can't portray because of arbitrary, often transient, unspoken rules. so i completely understand how obnoxious that is and im pretty constantly telling people not to be like that in the communities i frequent

but it becomes a whole 'nother issue when you are spreading the message that the type of relationship they have is what constitutes toxicity. that toxicity is being dependent on someone. or having debates with someone. or disagreeing from time to time. or just, being human in a world that hates you.

not only is it hella uncomfortable in the sense that there's always a double standard applied to queer relationships (as opposed to straight ones) it also sets this really fucking weird standard about what constitutes to a healthy or toxic relationship.

i have been in toxic relationships. this is not what that is. and it's frankly troubling that anyone would think so solely from their read of the canon material

October is the season for the not-so-spooky Grassroots Youkai trio!  All three characters have an odd mix of eastern and western traits, so the theme of their desserts is “traditional…with a twist.”

Wakasagihime:  sparkling green tea soda

Sekibanki:  raspberry and black sesame dango

Ok so I reblogged this earlier before completely processing it and I feel guilty because... This isn’t meant to be instructional, it’s just a joke. The person was just showing off a tiny grill they pixeled and modeled off of the first image. Please don’t shell out $20 to buy this program without understanding that.

While this method would give you a pretty good starting point/reference to make nice pixel art, it isn’t going to give you something with perfectly defined edges and perfect shading. It’ll give you something more akin to the had to do it to em guy above. Which looks alright because it’s at 100% size and scaled super small. But small pixel art is usually gonna be viewed at 200+%, and that’s when you start to see the flaws.

Another thing I want to point out is that you can achieve a similar effect (again, only for the purpose of having a good reference/starting point) in other programs like photoshop or clip studio, if you have those. I’m not trying to dunk on Aseprite, cause I’m sure it’s a good program. I just want people to understand what they’re buying isn’t a magical pixel art AI.

man this take fucks me up. it’s something i like seeing in fiction because i like it when fiction irks me... but it irks me a little bit beyond that too because i can’t grasp why everyone else seems to think this way.

there is no "possible salvation" in a copy. a copy of you is not literally you. the you right now will never be able to perceive what the copy does, so where is the concept of salvation in that? as much as i like the concept of immortality, it feels like this sort of “immortality” is the worst of both worlds. it’s more akin to having a child for the sake of legacy, as if they will necessarily follow your will

if the you that you are dies and is gone, the new you is basically just a different person with the same memories. but it’s not and will never be the original you. the original you will still feel the void of nothingness when they die. the original you will never perceive what the clone does, it will never achieve salvation. 

(the fact this person is marked by shinieyes also makes me think about how people with shitty takes are the reason we need death, otherwise society ends up stagnating, which doesn’t help lol)
