WOAH IM HERE WHOOPS, I had to lie in wait for a moment.. no but the real reason I was gone for a bit is because since my anon messages are like.. super long, I don’t want to accidentally exhaust you so I try to give it some time between them so that DOESN’T happen! But I’ve been here!
And good guess, but no :3 I do like myself some project sekai too.. my favorite group is mmj, I’m Minori’s #1 fan actually uhmmmm!!
And we are (in fact) mutuals! :D One of my favorites ones I giggle behind my hands.. I doubt we’re IRLs? If we are, I would explode /pos
Anddd of course I like you! It’s not especially difficult, you make it easy.. :3
It’s actually a little bit insane to me we have mutual interests or likes like.. oh my god? Super cool person somehow likes the same things as me? Actually unreal uhmmm!! Like for example, the candies I named last time are ALSO some of my favorites from when I was a kid :D
Also adore the mystery genre.. (Animes, games, books etc…) I’m stupidly in love with the trope where it’s a super smart girl and just a guy who basically makes sure she doesn’t get herself killed (In/Spectre my beloved..)
And your hint! Let’s seeeee.. I’m also newer to Tumblr? I said I found you around in the October-December period but that’s also when I first made my account :3 And I’m a minorrr.. I feel like that’s obvious but I’m throwing it out there too just in case..
YEAH.. OKAY. I feel like I’m banging at my enclosure to not shower you in constant praise (I feel the need to emphasize every time I mean this all in a non-strange way..) just because that’s the only way I feel I can properly show how cool I think you are uhm! Anyways! I cover myself in a cloak and when it comes off I disappear
HIIIII U CAME BACK!!!!!! Yay!!!!!! You could never exhaust me, no matter how long you write, because it’s you writing it!!! I could listen to you for paragraphs without being bored!! Ur honestly my favorite thing on tumblr rn <33
No matter how much or little u send idm!! Ily anyway! Glad ur sticking around tho <33
Omg minori fan?!?!!! Also PJSEKAI FAN YAY! Are you by chance sleepyjiraiminori!!? HAVE I DONE IT?! IM MUTUALS WITH THEM OMG IT COULD BE U!!!! Also if we were IRLs you would 100% know it bc im usually the reason my IRLs are on tumblr to begin with XD but if we were I would be so happy!!!
Man I’m so happy u like me!! U say I make it easy but mannn idk sometimes I can be a little exhausting I know it!! One day I’m very happy genki and the next I’m negative and politically charged LOLLL well that’s what you get when you give a jirai leftist teen a tumblr account I guess XD
THOSE CANDIES ARE UR FAV TOO??!!!! Man!! We have to be closer than we think then, that’s so uniquely American XD At least I think so hahaha! Honestly it’s so crazy to have like a secret double version of me on tumblr!! So I totally get it :3
OMG I LOVE MYSTERY TOO!! My fav genre of mystery is team of detectives that are found family, especially with one genius newbie upstart and the older detective that’s been there the whole time and at first they hate each other but then they become parent-kid!! Aghhh so good so good
IN/SPECTRE!!! IVE BEEN MEANING TL WATCH THAT WAHHHHHH AHH!!!! Just one more thing we’ll have in common when I’m done X3 man I can’t wait to figure out who you are so we can RP!! (ONLY IF U WANT OFC!!)
That hint also aligns with sleepyjiraiminori too!! Man if ur not her yall need to be friends too, you’d get along great! Also the minor bit was a given bc most of my moots are minors anyway XD idk any non-minor moots and even if I have them there’s nobody who likes my blog who’s older than 18! (Unless my old online gr00m3rs still follow me?? Ugh I sure hope not..)
BRO THAT IMAGE OF U BANGING ON A LITTLE CAGE IS SO SWEET SOMEHOW??? My little ferret I wanna hug u so badddd /p
That’s just so sweet of u!! I think ur super cool too, just the coolest!!!! I’m so happy ur around here with me <3
Haha now I imagine you as a little cream white ferret with peachy front and back paws and big dark brown eyes, all wrapped up in a black cloak Despereaux style!! X3 ur prob taller than me, so ur like one of those tall lanky ferrets in my head, and im a small chubby mouse, like a comedy duo LOLLL
anyway wahhh stay safe, c u next time!!
(Here’s to hoping my guess is right this time fellow detective!)
#sakis zatsudan#my spelling has been much worse recently - I tried to edit spelling errors as I went along but sorry in advance!#also sry this took so long I saw it as soon as I got it but I was with family so I couldn’t respond!!#long anon my beloved <3

Thanks for the tag! I love this, I will absolutely yap about my fics :)
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
I've got 5 right now! But a crap ton of ideas scribbled down in the back of my mind that I need to find the motivation to work on...
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
90,695 :) But a bit longer with unfinished stuff I have written down.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
RIght now, just The Umbrella Academy and The Owl House! I'd love to explore more fandoms at some point, though. We'll see if the mood ever strikes me.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Well, the fun bit is that I only have five. So let's rank these bad boys!
1. The Quest for the Keys of Death 2. Witches in Wonderland 3. Melodies of Caged Bird 4. The Owl Fluff 5. I Don't Know Why I Bite
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do my very best to! It can be hard for me to remember to/find the energy to reply to things, whether it be comments or asks or whatever. But I seriously love and cherish any comments left on my works, and I'm mentally giving you the biggest hug. :)
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Ooo. Well. I've technically only finished one, lol. But... Melodies of a Caged Bird will have the angstiest ending. The Quest for the Keys of Death will be the angstiest over all, but there will be a happy ending. :)
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Again, I've only finished one (and the ending is bittersweet on that one) but The Quest for the Keys of Death will have the happiest ending.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I've gotten a comment that was a little patronizing, disagreeing with a headcanon of mine, but it wasn't necessarily hateful. It was a bit of a bummer, though.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I don't. I've never written smut before, and it's not exactly my writing forte. Kudos to those who do, though!
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I'm actually not a big crossover fan, which is funny considering my biggest/most popular fic is a crossover. It's not that crazy, but it's an Owl House and Percy Jackson crossover!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of; I don't think my fics are popular enough for that, haha!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope, but that would be cool to do at some point!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I haven't, but that would be so fun to do at some point! Any of my Umbrella Academy or Owl House moots, feel free to hit me up if you ever wanna try co-writing a fic!
14. What’s your all time favourite ship?
Prooobably Huntlow! It's the ship I've gotten the most into/excited about. I'm not a huge shipper, I blame my aro/ace tendencies, but I love Hunter and Willow's dynamic. :)
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Probably Witches in Wonderland. I feel bad leaving it unfinished, but I lost all motivation and creativity for it. Besides, I've read too many fics with a similar concept now, and I'm too scared that I'll accidentally steal elements from someone else's writing.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Well, shit. I honestly don't know. I've been told I have very good descriptions and imagery, and I'd agree with that! I've also been told that I'm good at characterization, but I'm less sure on that one.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Dialogue can really screw with me. I don't know if I'm bad at it, per se, but it stresses me out the most and I have the hardest time with it. Besides that, commitment. I have a hard time sticking with my writing and finding the motivation to finish my projects.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I've tried that a little bit with The Quest for the Keys of Death, and having some of Luz's exclamations in Spanish! I'm not a Spanish speaker, though, so I shy away from using too much. I need to bully my American ass into learning more languages, haha! I'd feel a bit more confident using it, then.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
The Hunger Games, actually! That fic was published on Quotev and has since been deleted, but it's what got me past that initial hurdle of being scared to write fanfiction. It was an interesting concept that I should return to at some point... hmmm...
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
Well, the brainrot says I Don't Know Why I Bite, but I think I'm just proud that I finished something. Other than that, The Quest for the Keys of Death. It's a huge labor of love, and once I have the motivation, I can't wait to return to it. :)
Calling on my fellow writers! @childlikegoblinqueen @unniebeans @slightecho
This is making me realize I need TUA writer mutuals... If any TUA fic writers see this, feel free to hit me up. I need someone to talk about my works with (and I'd love to listen to you talk about yours ^.^)
Twenty Questions for Fic Writers
Thank you for the tag @sneakyfox55! I don't normally do tag games, but this one looks really fun. (What author doesn't want the chance to ramble about their writing?) (This one is also copy/paste, so I'm less worried about clogging up people's dashes)
I'm going to put it under a cut since this is pretty long!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
As of now? 9! (But I have more than 35 fics in progress in my drafts that aren't posted.)
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
129,647! But like, triple that (or more) if you want to count unposted stuff.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Undertale!
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
1. Heart on the Table
2. How to Defeat a Human in 6 Easy Steps
3. faux pas
4. How to Comfort a Panicking Child
5. How to Help a Human in 2 Easy Steps
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes!!! I love responding!!! I'm behind horribly right now because of my work's busy season, but I plan to catch back up! It's so fun to get to talk to people about the things I've poured my heart and soul into, you know? And I'm always glad to get to thank the people that took the time to leave a comment! It's a bit hard to keep up sometimes, though.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
"Is it Home Without You?" definitely. I'm still really proud of that fic, and it's part of a series with a happy ending, but the actual oneshot is the immediate aftermath of Gaster's lab accident from Sans's PoV. So, uh. Dead dad that no one but you remembers (not even your little brother) is pretty angsty. It's a step away from the norm for me, since normally I only write things with happy endings. But since this is part of a series that has a happy ending, I suppose my brain allowed me to end it off on a bittersweet (sad and angsty) note.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
This is really hard to say! I like big, happy endings, so most of my stuff gets them! Probably.... Hmmm. Either faux paus or How to Defeat a Human in 6 Easy Steps
8. Do you get hate on fics?
For the most part? No. (And I will always be grateful for the kind people that have picked me back up after I've been shot down in the past.)
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
None you'll ever find under this username! I try to keep it family friendly here. ...Welllll, depending on if you count fics that tackle trauma and child murder in them family friendly.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I haven't written any cross fandom crossovers! ...I have, however, been guilty of writing cross fic crossovers (none posted). I like to make my characters from different fics interact with each other. I've also done some crossovers for fun with my friends, making our characters interact. All still Undertale fandom, though! The craziest one is probably "How to Adopt an Interdimensional Traveler" which may be posted at some point. It's a crossover between Heart on the Table, and my How To: series. What, you're telling me Papyrus has TWO children to deal with now? (Here, have the first little bit of that because I love it. And I love Papyrus.)
Step One: Find out their name “FRISK!” Papyrus’s voice was not a shriek. No. He was perfectly composed as he stared down at the… little Frisk in front of him. The very little Frisk. There was a familiar thumping behind him as… his Frisk crashed down the stairs in their familiar clumsy way. For all the elegance they displayed in battle, that did not tend to follow them home. He partially whirled around to face them, keeping… mini Frisk in his sight at the same time. “What’s up, Dad?” Mini Frisk made a small noise that may have been confusion as they rapidly looked between him and their larger counterpart. “…Dad?” Oh. Hm. Yes. That was. A thing. Apparently Papyrus had two children now.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know! And I sure hope not!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope! That would be cool as heck, though!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
None that are posted! But I like to write with my friends, sometimes.
14. What’s your all time favourite ship?
Surprisingly! Not Undertale! (Though I do like Alphyne!) Zukka! (Zuko x Sokka, Avatar the Last Airbender) I've loved that ship for years, and even though I'm not really in the AtLA fandom anymore, it still has a very close place in my heart.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Hmmmm. Again, nothing posted. I don't post fics unless they have a first draft completely written to prevent that kind of thing. (Though, I do rewrite stuff, and that can cause pretty big posting delays. But if for some reason I can't find the motivation to finish my rewrites, I could always just slap my first draft up so that it's not completely unfinished before I'd abandon it completely.) Of my fics not posted, though? I've got a fic called "Ghost of You" which is a fated soulmate dusttale!papyrusXreader fic. I hope I can finish it one day, but... well. I'm not sure if I will or not.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Characterization, and internal dialogue, I think! I like to think I'm pretty good at writing a character in such a way that even if you pick just a sentence at random, you know who's head you're in. Or, perhaps my strength is hurt/comfort in general...
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
It used to be dialogue, though I'm working to get better at that! I also struggle sometimes when it comes to making sure that the pace is engaging and that we aren't just stuck in someone's internal thoughts for 5 paragraphs. Gotta break that up with some stuff actually happening!
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
Very cool, and a great way to show characters that speak other languages than the one you are in the PoV of!
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Well... the fic itself is long gone, but! I wrote for Ouran Highschool Host Club when I was like 12.
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE! HOW COULD YOU ASK ME TO CHOOSE BETWEEN MY CHILDREN? MY BABIES! ...Heart on the Table has a special place in my heart though.
No pressure tags (only if you want! this is just for fun!): @lizavet @timeofjuly @humankk and anyone that wants to!
Also... Shall I dare? invoke the potential wrath of a god(ess)?
I dare. I'm curious about the answers (if the goddess does deign to answer this mortal/jk) @llamagoddessofficial (please feel free to just ignore if you want!)

A Muggle Studies Moment 3: Part 3. A Lily and Sirius Sidequest.
After dinner, Lily had owled her mum about the neighbor’s motorcycle. Mrs. Evans, still proud to have a witch in the family and well accustomed, for a Muggle mum, to sending post via owl, did not respond until two days later. In the interim, it seemed that Sirius might actually implode into a little ball of nothing. James did his best to keep him distracted with mischief, while Remus distracted him via ... other means, but the jittery excitement was always there, just under the surface. When the owl came, Mrs. Evans had indicated that she had spoken to the neighbor, who was over the moon at the idea of someone buying the thing and had priced it quite reasonably. Mrs. Evans had also told Lily to bring her friend over for dinner if they were going to come for the motorcycle, a little fact that had James burning with jealousy.
They were to wait for the next Hogsmeade weekend, and have their Saturday in Muggle London. James, Peter, and Remus had made plans to welcome their friends back by readying the shed at Potter Manor that Fleamont and Euphemia had gladly given their permission for their nearly-adopted son to use for his newfound project. The issue of money also had to be resolved. Leaving home had left Sirius cut off from most of his funds, except for the inheritance he had received from his Uncle Alphard. Those funds were now under the guardianship of the Potters until Sirius was of age, his blood family not being able to touch that money. Fleamont came to Hogwarts to take Sirius out for an early dinner after his classes ended on Friday, took him to Gringotts, and helped to arrange and explain the Muggle exchange rate. Lily had assured them both that should Sirius forget how Muggle money worked, she would make sure things went smoothly.
By Saturday morning, when the Marauders met Lily in the Common Room, Sirius was in the best mood of his life, and Lily was starting to wonder what on earth she was supposed to do with a ridiculously happy Sirius for half a day on their own. The most time she’d ever spent alone with him, he’d been hurt and half out of it, then recovering and trying to catch up on his school work. After that, he’d leaped straight back into mischief and Quidditch with James. He’d remarked a little too casually from time to time that Lily was his hero and that she’d saved his life, but she had always shushed his praise and told him he would have done the same.
Muggle London had always fascinated Sirius, but he had never been allowed to experience it. The few times he had managed to steal away to a Muggle music shop or convenience store, he had either had to hurry so much he hadn't been able to appreciate much, or he had gotten caught and been punished for associating with Muggles. He found Lily to be an excellent and entertaining guide. She stopped at a fast food kiosk so he could try an "American style" hot dog, and get some practice counting Muggle money out. He had the hot dog gone in three bites and fortunately, the vendor was from Eastern Europe and didn't find it odd that a boy with an English accent couldn't count his change out without assistance. He probably just thought Sirius was from Australia or New Zealand or something.
Still working on her own hot dog, Lily sat on a public bench and offered to share her chips. Boys her age seemed to be oddly bottomless pits where food was concerned, she had noticed. James and Sirius in particular seemed to burn off so much energy with Quidditch and generally high levels of activity that they could eat twice what any normal human being ought to and never gain a pound. He hesitated, clearly wanting the chips, but trying to be a gentleman and not steal her food. She sighed.
"I got extra for you, Sirius. I thought you might like to try more Muggle foods. Of course, now we'll have to pretend to be hungry for dinner so we don't hurt my mum's feelings."
He accepted the chips and smiled sheepishly. "I won't have to pretend. I'll be hungry again in about an hour. Remus said I was clearly eating for two and asked if there's anything I need to share with him. He said if I'm pregnant with alien babies, he'll help me raise them to be good, upstanding citizens of this planet. Then we got into this weird conversation about whether alien babies raised by gay wizards, one of whom is a werewolf, would be accepted at Hogwarts, and what to do with our alien kids if they turned out squibs."
Lily snorted inelegantly with laughter, picturing Remus' serious expression as he declared his willingness to help raise his boyfriend's alien babies with integrity. "He's as ridiculous as you and James."
"Merlin, I love him," Sirius sighed.
Without the slightest hesitation, Lily grabbed him in a spontaneous hug and squeezed. It took him a moment, but he returned the hug, his hand hesitantly patting her back.
"Lily? Everything all right?"
She let go of him and smiled. "Sorry, I was overwhelmed by how horribly sweet you two are on each other and I just wanted to show you that I'd like us to be actual friends, not just mutual friends of Remus who sometimes talk."
He smiled, a genuine, slightly shy smile that was so different than his usual smirks and grins that Lily caught a glimpse of how Remus must have seen him to fall for him so hard.
"I think I'd like that. And, now that we're friends, I feel I must inform you that James Potter has an enormous crush on you. Like ... it's huge."
"Bigger than his ego?"
The retort was automatic, but there was no real anger behind it, not anymore. And he could tell, the absolute wanker. He knew.
"Look, I'm not going to harass you about it. I know your opinions of James are founded in the reality of his complete lack of social graces where you are concerned, but ... you used to hate all of us, then you got to know Remus and became friends with him. I - I'd like to think getting to know me a little made you change your mind about me a bit. I know watching you treat Remus so kindly made me change my mind about you."
Her jaw dropped. "Me? What did you used to think of me?"
His eyes widened as he realized what he had said, and he immediately began to backpedal. "I mean, I didn't know you, not really. All I knew was that you were always mad at James, who is basically my brother, and so when he was upset by something you did or said, it didn't make me have a good opinion of - oh, bollocks! I'm making it worse! What I meant is that you were always with Snape and sticking up for him, and - and - "
"And you hate him, so you hated me too? Were you only not bullying me like you did him because James thought I was pretty?"
"No! It's more complicated that that. Please believe me."
He looked worried. Really worried. However upsetting it was to find out that someone you used to dislike actually disliked you as well, it was a moot point. She didn't dislike him any longer. She wanted to be his friend, and that meant that she needed to listen and communicate and not scare him half to death. She took a deep breath.
"I'm not mad. We're still friends. I was just surprised, that's all. It hadn't occurred to me to think about how you lot saw me, you know?"
His sigh of relief was immediate and noisy.
"I didn't mean to be insulting, Lily. I just - "
She raised an eyebrow expectantly. "Friends talk to each other. It's fine if we don't agree on some things, okay? What was the issue with you and Snape? Why do you hate him so much?"
If she hadn't been so curious, she would have felt badly for even asking. Her question seemed to suck the joy of impending motorcycle right out of him.
"I suppose it was mostly Regulus, for me. And a little bit James. You know what my insane family is like. Regulus is my brother and I love him, but James is the brother who chose me, you know? He looked past my family's pureblood bullshit and gave a shit about me. So, when Snape and James got into it, I was Team James. Then, when Reg came to Hogwarts and got into Slytherin, Snape saw him as a way to get back at me. He started filling his head with - with reasons why I wasn't someone he should care about. Reg gave him access to a lot of pureblood society, and suddenly he was hanging out with Mulciber and Malfoy and they started teaming up to help my family make me miserable. And James saw it and fought back for me, and then it was this awful cycle. Every time there was an altercation, Snape would spin it a certain way to Reg, and then he'd ignore me or worse, tell our parents. They never let me explain anything, never cared what really happened, just that I'd embarrassed them again, and then they'd - "
She shushed him softly, rubbing his arm gently to reassure him that she understood, and he didn't need to say it. "And there I was, defending a person who directly led to you being hurt. I'm sorry for that. I really didn't know. I just hated to give up on someone who used to mean so much to me. Severus has it in him to be kind and sweet, but his fascination with the Dark Arts always worried me, and now it's carried him away from me. I'm so scared I'm going to find out that he's taken the Dark Mark. I miss his friendship, how he used to be, but I'm so mad at him for calling me ... that word, and thinking I'd be happy to be his exception to policy for hating Muggleborns."
Sirius winced sympathetically. "I worry about Reg taking the Mark too. When I was a little kid, before Hogwarts? I didn't know that word was bad. James told me. It's just what my parents always called people whose parents are Muggles. I had no idea it wasn't okay until I saw James' face when I said it. He pulled me aside and asked if that's how my parents talked at home. He knew how some pureblood families are and gave me the benefit of the doubt AND explained things to Remus and Pete so they wouldn't think I was some snobbish git."
Lily felt that now-familiar stirring of curiosity about who James Potter was to his friends and family. The picture painted by Remus was of a loyal friend who kept and defended his secret, and Sirius described a friend who became a brother who looked after him when his own had abandoned him. Her own view of James Potter had been colored by a friendship that was no longer viable and informed by a source who was no longer a reliable narrator. Yes, he was annoying when he constantly praised her and asked her out, but was his bravado simply that? A facade he wore to hide the depth of feelings that made him feel vulnerable and awkward? And, he had actually stopped, now that she thought about it. It had been a good long while since he had asked her out. He had complimented a few times, but it had mostly been about her academic accomplishments or if she had done or said something nice for or about one of his friends. She had grown and changed since the day she found out she was a witch, to finding out that Remus was a werewolf, to the moment she had realized that she was unwilling to continue to ignore Severus' views, to the moment she had discovered that Sirius wasn't who she had thought. Maybe James had gone through a similar path? She had stopped excusing Severus' increasing darkness, and maybe James had stopped constantly asking her out for similar reasons?
Aloud, she mused, "That makes sense. How were you to know if you were never allowed to associate with anyone to tell you otherwise?"
"It's still a poor excuse. I don't know how anyone could see how good you are at everything magical and not understand that you're every bit as magical as me!"
She ruffled his hair, ignoring his halfhearted protests not to mess it up. "That is my favorite thing about you, New Friend."
Still patting his glossy black hair back into place, he said, "My hair? I know, me too. It's pretty much perfect,"
"Don't be a vain git. You know what I meant. I like that you're not prejudiced. That you respect me and people like me."
"Firstly, I am a vain git. Ask James, Remus, or Pete. Secondly, my capacity for talking about my feelings is just about maxed for the week, and thirdly, I've been on the wrong end of a Lily-hex and a healthy dose of respect and fear is more than appropriate. I don't care that your parents are Muggles, especially not when you can do things with Charms that even Remus can't figure out."
She rolled her eyes at him, but she was smiling. No wonder Remus liked him so much. He was entertaining to say the very least. "Sorry I taxed your capacity for talking about your feelings. I appreciate you listening to me. I need to tell you one more thing. I - I don't know if my mum told my sister about us coming for dinner. Petunia hates magic, always calls me a freak, and ... well, I just wanted you to be prepared if she's an utter bitch. It's not personal."
Sirius stood from the bench and collected their trash, offering Lily a hand. "Believe me when I tell you that I get the whole sibling thing. I promise not to purposely provoke Petunia," he said, popping each "P" with purpose.
She giggled. "Promise?"
"Positively. Now. Motorcycle? Please?"
She laughed. "Yes, motorcycle. Come along. We've got a bus to catch!"
"Hey, Lily?"
"Yes?"
"You know who else likes to talk about their feelings?"

Lantern
Cobweb
Ghost
and Flannel
(whatever you're comfortable answering xx)
Thank you beloved moot <3
Lantern (how did you meet your best friend? What were your first impressions of each other?)
Hmm, my longest best friend was through church. I can't remember why they hung out with me at first because they are a few years older then me. I can't remember my first impressions of them or theirs of me. But we are basically siblings now. They were the first person I go to about anything and I know that I could always crash on their couch if I had to.
My other best friend I met in Theatre. I have know them 3 or so yrs. I kind of thought they were just another edgy guy at the time but they were funny and me and their characters were in a lot of scenes together. I have never asked them what they thought about me.
My finale best friend (I am vv hard to have a casual friendship with. lmao. This isn't counting my online best friends either), I met him at work and we got along great. I remember they were kind of nerdy and wild and she was also quiet. Now they won't shut up (affectionate). Love them <3
I love all my friends for real <3
Cobweb ((if you’ve graduated) do you miss high school?)
Well, yes and no. I love learning. I adore it and I love learning with other people who love learning. I love going somewhere with other people to socialize. But grades and me don't mix. And homework and my ADHD would battle to the death every year. Also, the school I went to was full of Christians, homophobes, and racists. God, I had to walk into American history and lit and fight for my fucking life. :')
Ghost (is there someone that you miss having in your life?)
A good question. I guess my ex-bestfriend. There is no way to fix it as she dead set on being homophobic and transphobic and all that but I miss our relationship still. :,) at least I got consistent hugs
Flannel (have you ever gone on a bad date? )
Ooooo, boi, oh no. I have. Well, about a year ago, this guy asked me out on a date. A guy I worked with and I got so distracted by finally getting asked out that I said yes without using a single brain cell. I didn't even like this guy for christ sakes. I wanted to cancel but I felt too bad to do it and like it would be awkward if I cancelled so I just went with it and was an anxious mess the whole time. We saw a movie and I literally held onto my empty drink cup and leaning the opposite direction because I didn't want to him to try and hold my hand. Longest two hours of my life. Then afterwards I told him I didn't want to do it again and ran away. He turned out to be an asshat anyways so I dodged a bullet LMAO

Name: Mira 'Paws' Cole
As callsigns go, I don’t think Paws is half bad. It’s not as grandiose as some that stumble through this door, not edgy and hardcore... It sounds like the kind of nonsense a military faction would hand down to the new kid.
Appearance: Height- 5"9.
There is a desperate need for more lady OCs who are not like 5′2″ every time. I can at least salute the creator for this...
Weight- 134.
...And a sensible weight for someone in the military! A little googling tells me this BMI is in the normal range, if on the smaller side. No one has to give this OC a sandwich for her to run out and kick some tail.
Eye color- Emerald green.
Mmm, unlike my fellow mods, I don’t think using specific descriptors for eyes is a dealbreaker or special snowflake. There’s a lot of shades of green out there. However, I would maybe pick something other than a precious gem to describe a character’s eye color. It’s become a bit of a dead horse at this point.
Hair color- Dark brown.
So far, everything is really good, very low-key. I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop to explain why the hell this OC is doing on this page.
Where she serves- U.S. Army Ranger
Recent as it may be, women are slowly entering the ranks of the Rangers through the school, if not actually able to serve in its ranks. Assuming some level of research was put into what it would take for a female OC to break ground like this, we might be onto something.
Now, if you’re all prepared, the other shoe drops... now.
Position- Hired medic/Assassin
Well, medic OCs are old hat at this point, but as long as there’s real research and a plot, I’m not totally opposed to someone examining a side of canon that isn’t totally defined by missions and frontline action--
Wait.
A medic’s first rule is to do no harm... and she is an assassin. Does anyone else see the glaring lack of fundamental understanding of how the military works in that statement, or just me? I’m sure at some point in history or another, a killer has used the disguise of a medical personnel to get closer to a target, but that’s not exactly military standard, not in this day and age.
For that matter, why is the US Army hiring assassins when they have some of the most elite fighting forces on the planet? Any one of Ramirez’s team could easily take up a sniper rifle and hang out for a few hours waiting for a good shot. The Army does not need assassins in the classical sense. It would be much more sensible if this OC was freelance, PIC, or maybe even part of a CIA that is far darker than the average Modern Warfare civilian accounts for.
But for your baseline US Army attache, this is going well over the line. It renders basically all past praise I put upon the OCs design nearly moot. I can’t even imagine what an international DISASTER it would be if an American medic was outed as a professional, government-sanctioned assassin. It would change the face of warfare, totally flip centuries of regulations about medics and their role on its head. Everything would just go to absolute shit if people trusted to heal and stay out of trouble came out as paid professional killers operating with their government’s blessing.
You can make an OC interesting without relying on secret identities or shocking swerves, or defying basic military roles that leave little hope for a character being an assassin.
History: Mira had never thought she could go to war-and at least experince anything, But now she's been sent over to work as a medic. She'll meet anyone and (oddly) enough; everyone.
The Rangers, Shepherd, Allen, these are characters I can understand an OC rubbing elbows with, given the game and faction in question. Maybe even a brush with Team Metal, if you want to broach MW3 and the fact both Rangers and Delta fought against the Russian invasion on the East Coast. Everyone, though? That’s pushing it. The 141 and the Rangers are never anywhere near each other in game proper to allow for meeting ‘everyone.’
Is Mira surprised? Kind of. Sure she has some crushes on certian people. But this is war, not the love boat.
As opposed to OC/Canon shipping as many people are, so long as it’s not the focal point and overshadowing a much more interesting plot... I personally see no problem with mentioning a character might be interested in someone else. Especially if it’s buffered with the fact ‘hey there’s a war going on, let’s not worry about our alleged sexual tension and instead focus on not. fucking. dying.’
None of this excuses the walking International Shitshow Waiting To Happen, but it’s a surprising touch.
She also earned the name nickname 'Paws', from the wolf paws tatooed and her back, and two small ones on the back of her neck.
That’s not usually how callsign assignments work, it’s usually more of a callback to a memorable incident or a personality trait.
For pure hypotheticals, let’s say Soap once slid off of something during training, or is very thorough about ‘cleaning’ out a room when on ops. Either of these things might lead to teammates alluding to him as ‘Soap,’ either due to his slippery fuck up, or his sheer ‘cleaning’ power. It’s not like teammates looked at Soap’s haircut and just decided ‘You’re Mohawk now.’ There’s more to callsigns and military culture than that.
Personality: Mira is a kind, gentle, and calm soul. But if somthing goes wrong; she; like Dunn would freak out just the same.
For both of her preposterous careers, staying cool is a part of the job description.
A medic has to know how to perform under intense pressure, when the lives of their patients are on the line, sometimes in the middle of a firefight. The military medic career is not one you want to freak out in.
Assassins must master the art of planning -- entrance, loadout, the exact moment they take down the target, and an exit strategy. They have to be veritable ghosts, leaving no trace of themselves, and with the patience to wait sometimes days for one brief moment and then a quick way out. A freak out at any stage of an assassination is a surefire bullet in the chest at best and a trip to a black site in your target’s home country at worst.
Also if shes meant to be calm why the hell would she freak out when a plan goes to shit? Why does everything about this OC oppose prior information?
She has an affectionate side, but tends not to use it. Theres moments where she can be totally awkward.
Why? Why any of that? I know I harp on explanations in just about every review I do, but I’m just really passionate about OC creators explaining to their audience how and why things work. Personality traits existing at odds with one another are a good reason to have explanations in your profile. If this OC is kind and gentle, why hide her affectionate side? Is she perhaps uncomfortable with overt displays of affection, while still being super sweet and kind to people? Is there a disconnect between her professional personality and her off-duty persona?
Hell if I know, that’s all that’s said for me to analyze.
Also, how awkward are we talking here? ‘My mouth sometimes moves faster than my brain’ awkward, or ‘I was apparently raised in a cave and have no understanding of several normal every day things’ awkward? Much like there are many different shades of green, there are many different flavors of awkward.
Secrets: Mira is a So-Called 'Assassin', as she describes herself, but is labled as a Sniper by others(As she states during Modern Warfare) but tends to lie when someone questions her.
A sniper is not an assassin in the classical sense. A sniper is a part of many military teams, and is in fact basic in certain circumstances. A sniper is a legitimate specialist and would never cross over with medical corps.
A lone sniper might well be an assassin, but a sniper on a military team is usually just that: a sniper. Not an assassin, sure as hell not a medic, but definitely a person who is good at waiting, communicating with their spotter, and shooting OpFor as needed.
This might come as a shock, but I don’t think this OC makes much sense, guys.
On that note, why the hell is she in the original Modern Warfare? The American faction in COD4 was the Marines, not Rangers.
She comes to the Army Rangers (In Modern Wafare 2) posing as a Medic, but still serves as a Sniper, she them keeps her position as an Assassin in Modern Warfare 3, where she is seperated and is now on the hunt for Vladimir Makarov.
If she ‘comes to’ the Rangers in MW2, who was she with originally in MW? Was she supposed to be a freelance assassin that the US Army looked at and said ‘good enough for us?’ I really don’t get this bit, I’m sincerely confused by the sequence of events now.
As for MW3... That’s just poor writing and we all know it. The implication Ramirez and company are out taking the Kremlin, and this OC gets separated from the real party. I’m offended for her.
Other: She hates the way anyone treats attack dogs, she has a way to avoid being attacked by them. In this case, she carries treats to throw them off. Even the most vicious dog can be strayed away when confronted by Mira.
No. No, actually, they can’t. These dogs are broken and remade into fur-covered death machines that exist only to destroy whatever they are pointed at. There is nothing you can do to ‘stray’ them, let along with treats. Maybe if you throw them fresher meat than you, but otherwise I have no idea what would even come close to swaying a legitimate dog of war. They would eat her alive, brutally, and then turn their attention to the other Rangers.
Gory, yes. True, also yes. Attack dogs are not misunderstood babies anymore. They are straight up gone, redesigned to do nothing but kill whoever their kennel master sics them on. Kill or be killed is the only way to deal with an enemy attack dog in the middle of battle. Now excuse me, I have to go hug my own dog for a little bit.
Family: Both her parents died when she was 14, but she made friends with a kid named Chuck Seasons *Aka Chef* and the two became friends and have stayed that way ever since.
Let me guess, a member of this creators OC cadre? Did making friends with this kid cure the ache that is losing both of your parents and being made an orphan as a young teenager?
Animal Companions: Mira owns a black German Shepherd named 'Coach', after her famed basketball coach during middle school.
I’m not sure about this one, but I think this Coach guy’s parents really wanted him to be a coach.
So anyway, Mod M would like to posit this question: Why is it that the best/most down to earth designs always end up being tied to brain-breakingly out of touch with the real world OCs? For that matter, why am I always the one left holding the flaming bag that is these ocs?
