some people like to imagine that itachi’s treatment of sasuke and his most heinous actions towards him were Necessary and Essential for his plan but honestly. were they. did itachi really think sasuke needed to kill his best (and only) friend? needed to see the whole family die in graphic detail multiple times? or is perhaps some of his behavior motivated by emotion rather than pure logic…
#people do this in defense of itachi but tbh i prefer his fucked up ness to a perfect logic driven mastermind itachi#naruto#also his plan sucked sorry itachi!

Hi, may I ask for a au where Itachi, Pain, Sasori, Sasuke and Dabi are vampires? (If it's too mich characters then just Itachi please! And also sorry if my English isn't too good! Thank you)
Your English is good, don't worry. Vampires are always nice, aren't they? I originally planned some basic Headcannons but got hit by a sudden bolt of inspiration, you now can write a story with multiple chapters out of what I’ve written.
Tw: Yandere themes, unhealthy mindset, unhealthy relationship, possessive behavior, obsession, stalking, manipulation, sabotage, isolation, threats, violence, abduction, death, abuse, blood, traumatized s/o in Sasuke’s part
Vampire AU
Pain
🌧️Pain has never left the region where he was born, too attached to the place to leave it behind. His home country is known for it’s rainy weather as sunny days are not that common. The rain has never bothered Pain as it has become his sole companion throughout his lonely and immortal years. He never interacts with humans, even has a slight superiority complex since he sees himself above them. He loves his home though as well as it’s inhabitants since they’re his prey. He has claimed a large territory and since he’s known to be extremely strong, vampires rarely try to hunt on his ground since he can sense them quickly. If a band of thieves tries to wreck havoc and kill his source of food, the vampire brutally hunts them down and feeds from them until they can’t quench his thirst anymore and he disposes of their body. He also uses the constant rain to lure travelers to his hidden home, offering them a temporary place to stay until the rain has at least weakened. Obviously once someone steps inside, they are never heard from again.
🌧️You are one of many silly travelers who crosses his territory. He has control over the weather and worsens it on purpose until you struggle to advance even one step further. That’s when he appears, a coat hiding his face from you as he overs you to stay in his home until the weather has calmed down a bit. You hesitate at first to accept until raindrops start hitting you like a whiplash thanks to the wind and you decide to follow the man. He leads you to a stone cottage, surrounded by mist and large and thick trees. You step inside, notice what little furniture you see until you hear the door behind you being closed and unease crawling up your spine. You turn slowly around to see the man removing his hood and are met with purple eyes and a face full of piercings. His pupils are dilated as he stares right through your soul, taking in the most enchanting scent he’s ever had the luck to smell. It all comes crashing down on you when you see his sharp canines but before you can even do as much as scream, he’s suddenly in front of you, sharp teeth sinking into your neck. The last thing you notice before fainting is the man pulling back with a surprised moan.
🌧️When you come back to your senses, you’re lying in a bed, memories hazy and a dull pain throbbing in your neck. Wait, your neck? That’s when everything hits you and suddenly you shoot up, hissing as the pain intensifies from your sudden movement. Your hand shoots to your neck and you notice the bandages around it. That’s when the door opens and your new nightmare walks in with a tray of food and a glass of water. He scolds you to not move so much, warns you that if you open the wound and start bleeding, he won’t be able to control himself. You stare terrified at him, a vampire. Why didn’t he kill you? As if reading your mind, the man explains the situation to you. It appears like you have a very special and rare type that is exceptionally fine nutrition for his kind. It would have been a waste to suck you dry. Your blood runs cold as you understand what he means. You’re to become his personal blood bag. He puts the tray down in front of you, demands you to consume everything to ensure your health and taste of your blood.
🌧️Your life is essentially not yours anymore as the vampire starts taking care of your health. Enough sleep, nutritious food, enough consumption of water and your hygiene. It almost looks like he cares but you know that he only cares about the blood inside of you. He’s cold to you, not gentle when he bites harshly down and gulps blood until you feel dizzy and faint. If you throw a tantrum, he grips you harshly enough until bruises start to form or uses his hypnosis on you to make you lose consciousness. If he catches you trying to escape, he breaks your leg and tortures you with visions. You hate him but he doesn’t care. Or so you thought. Maybe it is because he never spent as much time with someone before. He starts growing fond of you in a weird way, enjoys your company. He stares more at you, hesitates when he sees your fearful face and even feels a tinge of remorse. He’s less forceful when he takes your blood, massages the stiffness out of your muscles so that it’ll hurt less. He tells you his real name after he’s drank from you again, lost in your scent and warmth as he almost nuzzles against your neck. Yahiko. That’s his name.
🌧️You don’t believe in the nicer change of attitude, he must have ulterior motives. You’re shocked when he pulls you one day into his lap, try to wriggle free before he tells you warningly to not resist as he starts tugging away the material from your shoulder. You tense up, know what will come now but are caught a little bit off-guard by the arm wrapping around your waist. It must be to stop you from squirming away. His other hand starts caressing the skin on your shoulder, previous bite wounds visible as scars. You suppress the noise of pain when you feel the familiar stinging pain and hear shortly how he softly starts swallowing your blood. You’re uncomfortable and in pain, want to get away from him as soon as possible. You think you can as soon as he stopped drinking but the arm around you tightens when he senses you moving away. His grip is strong and unyielding as he mumbles in a deep voice that he wants you to stay for a bit. And for the first time in forever it sounds less like a demand and more like a genuine plead.
🌧️You stay because he won’t loosen his grip. You stare at him warily, heart hammering anxiously against your chest as he starts sniffing your neck, inhaling your scent. You flinch when you see the flash of his teeth, gracing over your drumming pulse. You expect his teeth to pierce your skin once more but are flabbergasted when he merely places a soft kiss on your skin. He starts littering your neck in kisses, the kisses getting harsher as he starts panting slightly against your neck, alarming you to squirm around in his grip as another fear engulfs you. Your efforts are cut off when Pain turns you around so that you face him, lips crashing greedily against yours as he grabs your hands and pins them against his chest. He’s sure that if he’d still have a heart, it would be racing by now out of an euphoria he’s never felt before. You’re breathless as you stare in utter shock at Yahiko who’s watching you with a weird glimmer in his eyes. You almost think that it’s love but that can’t be. That is until he says that he’ll keep you as his mate and lover, promises that he’ll protect you from anything. He says it with a fond voice but you know that he’ll force it on you like he always does.
Sasori
🦂There are humans who fear vampires and people who admire them. Sasori belonged in the latter category. Obsessed with eternal beauty and spiteful about the fact that he’d eventually die out of old age, he searched for a way to extract the poison from the vampires that turned humans into their kind. He abandoned his own humanity to remain youthful and beautiful without one bit of regret. Turning into a vampire made him look down on humans and their emotions, weak and irrational. A morbid hobby started for Sasori when he discovered how to turn a human body into a doll. He starts searching for unique and beautiful people, poisons them and turns them into puppets of different material. He has wax dolls, wood puppets and fine porcelain figures depending on the material he thinks will suit them best. He always extracts all the blood from his victims and stocks it until he consumes it. Often in fine wine glasses. He travels around to search for new pieces for his collection, prides himself that he has an eye for beauty and uniqueness.
🦂You catch his attention, the worst thing that could happen to anyone. Sasori settles for you as his next victim but something about you still dissatisfies him. He thinks that you haven’t reached your full potential yet so he takes it as his job to guide you to be the most beautiful you can be until you’re worthy of his collection. It isn’t the first time that he’s approached his victims with such motives. Occasionally he isn’t opposed to fooling humans with his charm but only when he sees the price at the end of it all as worthy. He only bothers with you for that reason. You’re his price. He’s an interesting and gorgeous fella, although terribly snarky when you don’t do as he says. You feel drawn to him for some reason though, unsuspecting that Sasori uses his powers on you. He fusses a lot about your appearance, advices you to try a new haircut and throws a small drama when you hurt yourself with a tiny scratch. Terribly impatient too, when he wants a meeting with you he’s already in a bad mood when you turn up a few minutes too late.
The whole friendship thing isn’t supposed to be anything more than that but you seem different from the average person he’s murdered. Your smile as fleeting as breathtaking, the twinkle in your eyes when you’re amused about something and your own quips appeal to him. He wouldn’t be able to capture that part of your beauty if he were to turn you into a lifeless puppet and when that thought crosses his mind for the first time, he’s startled. What is wrong with him all of a sudden? He never cared about that before. He grows bitter for a while, can’t come to terms with the fact that he might have gained feelings for you. He notices so much about you and the more he sees, the more special you become for him in return. Over time he becomes obsessed with you though. Everything about you is memorized and every smile and dazzling laughter is remembered as Sasori starts feeling funny when in your presence. He’s never felt like this before, he’s a bit overwhelmed. He’s torn apart all of a sudden, knows that this can’t go on like this forever though. The next time he comes over to your house, he poisons you.
🦂You scream when you wake up inside a glass box, wearing clothes that make you look like the doll of some rich kid. You barely have enough space to stand and can’t open the damn thing. You panic, tears in your eyes as you fear to suffocate in this thing until you notice someone standing before you. It’s dark, a few candles barely lightening everything. You beg for help, pound your fists against the glass. The person steps closer, close enough for the candles to illuminate their face. You’re confused but also relieved when you see Sasori. Casual clothes are changed with a fine suit, a wine glass in his hand as he musters you instead of helping you. This continues for a while where you start feeling the lack of oxygen before a sigh leaves his lips. This won’t do. You just wouldn’t look as pretty as you are now if you’d be a doll. One snip of his fingers and the box around you disappears as you collapse on the ground, gasping for air. You manage to look up at him, asking him shakily who or what he is. He shakes his head softly. Such a naïve thing. You still haven’t realized? One flash of his fangs is all the realization you need.
🦂You’re kept in this castle of his after, Sasori still confused what to do with you now. He can’t transform you into a puppet but doesn’t want to let you go either. You’re too much of a gem. To your horror you notice that all the servants are puppets to which Sasori explains that they were once human before he changed them. Puppets are much more efficient. They don’t get tired and don’t annoy him with stupid questions. The vampire still takes care of you but it has enhanced now that he’s returned to his place. All your old clothes are thrown away as he insists you to wear the finer clothes he has. You get all sorts of soap and lotions and take meals with him. He just watches you though, occasionally taking a sip from his glass of blood. He styles you himself if he feels like it, using different accessories for your hair and even using makeup on you if he thinks that it will suit your beauty. He hasn’t sucked your blood so far, you’re almost thankful for that but he still keeps you so you don’t want to be relieved just yet. You don’t know what he plans to do.
🦂He treats you like a human doll, keeps you clean and pretty for his own eyes. On that particular night he insists on a little dance in one of the rooms and is over the top enough to even let a few puppets, in their human times musicians, play instruments. You can’t look at those dolls which Sasori scolds you for as you still haven’t appreciated his art. He doesn’t rant about your ignorance too long though as he just enjoys the dance he has with you, swirling you around. You follow his lead silently, too afraid to do anything else. You’ve had bad experiences since he isn’t a patient person when it comes to you being a brat. You look at the floor to avoid looking into his eyes until you feel him pulling your arm closer to his face. You would have stopped moving but it’s like your limbs are being moved by something, forcing you to move along, even as Sasori’s fangs pierce your hand wrist. Your cry adds somehow beautifully to the music playing as Sasori consumes your blood for the first time, sighing blissfully as he pulls away. As he expected, even your blood tastes divine. He found perfection in you, he’s sure as a vampire you’d look absolutely ethereal.
Itachi Uchiha
🍡Itachi was never meant to have a long life in the first place. Diagnosed with heart problems and dysfunctional organs, every doctor told him that he most likely wouldn’t even reach his late twenties. His whole family desperately searched for a cure but Itachi accepted the grim reality at one point and decided to enjoy the short life he would have. Sadly he had caught the eye of a vampire at that time who was unwilling to let someone as attractive and talented as him die. As a vampire he’d surely blossom. They appeared before him during one of his sick and fragile phases, at that time Itachi thought that he was suffering from a fever dream. Only when he felt sharp teeth sinking in his arm and a burning pain washing all previous agony away did he realize that this was real. After having nearly attacked his own family out of hunger, he fled. Decades of isolation and wandering around until he eventually settled in a forest. Itachi refuses to feed from humans, hunts mostly animals down. Only in rare cases drinks he human blood and those people are mostly bandits and criminals. The region tends to be dangerous due to many rogues and thieves after all.
🍡People in your village love the gossip of the mysterious forest spirit some people have claimed to see throughout the years. A beautiful man with long, black hair. You don’t really believe in ghost stories but even some older people confirm that they’ve seen the same man so that awakes your curiosity. You decide to set out in the forest to solve this mystery. You are aware that it’s risky with the wild animals and possible bandits but you are determined. The first few weeks, you spot nothing unusual but love the nature nevertheless. You’re unaware that this so called forest spirit has long since noticed you and observes you carefully. You aren’t the first one who has done this but you’re the first one who has lasted that long. Others gave up and returned, although that may be because by now you’ve started exploring the forest in general. It’s somewhat endearing when you get all shinny-eyed when you discover deers, birds or a field of beautiful flowers. The forest is essentially Itachi’s home by now so he’s proud that you love it so much.
🍡The vampire stalks a lot with the excuse that he wants to make sure that nothing happens to you. That’s half of the truth, despite it’s beauty the forest can still pose quite a threat if you run into an agitated animal or rogues who want to rob you of your belongings. Deep down he knows that he just doesn’t want to be all alone anymore. It’s shameful that he’s gone to the point where watching a human makes him feel less lonely but he’s endured decades of no social interaction. He has to avoid you though, he knows the public opinion about vampires. You’d fear and hate him and he might hurt you. It’s not until one night where you stray away from the camp with the fire you set up and don’t find the way back that he goes near you for the first time. You only see him as a shadow standing in the distance, watching you before he starts walking away and you follow him, afraid to be left alone. You somehow are unable to catch up to him, the distance between you two never shortening. But before you know it, you see the light of your fire. You stop, starstruck, when you see a man standing in front of it. His beautiful features illuminated. Your eyes meet shortly, then he disappears.
🍡You’re searching for him the next few days intensely, the spirit of this forest but are unable to find him. You eventually give up, deduce that he probably won’t show his face to someone who looks for him as pestering as you do. You’re a bit sad but accept that. Out of gratitude for his help, you start carving the following days for hours with your blades little figures out of the wood and string them together as a bracelet. You just put it somewhere and leave only to check the next morning again to find out that it’s not there. Instead you find wristband made out entirely of flowers in it’s place and realize flattered that he prepared it for you. This little tradition continues as you sometimes wake up to find little gifts for you. You also deduce that the man is more comfortable around you when you start seeing him more. He never speaks to you but shows you hidden places you haven’t discovered yet, seemingly enjoying to show you around. You always notice that he’s wearing your bracelet and it makes you really happy.
🍡This special bond is strained when you one day stumble upon a road that leads through the deep forest after having heard noises. You realize too late that it’s a bunch of bandits who see you and instantly chase after you. You run back in the forest as fast as you can, for the first time terrified since entering this place. You trip when something hits you in your shoulder, causing pain to erupt as you let out a cry of agony. When you twist your head, you see an arrow stuck deep inside. You force yourself to stand up and continue to run, pulling on the arrow and letting out another scream of pain when you manage to get it out of your shoulder, blood seeping out. Where is the spirit? Is he currently not watching you? You know it isn’t his job to babysit you but you can’t help but cry for help when one of the bandits catches up to you and grabs you painfully by your wounded shoulder. You close your eyes and silently wait for the worst only to hear multiple shouts of shock and fear, accompanied by a vicious snarl as the arm is removed from you. When you turn around, you see Itachi standing protectively in front of you, the bandits staring at him with fear. Something is off.
🍡When he launches at the bunch, carelessly kicking the first one away with brutal force that instantly kills him, you see his face. His eyes are red, the normally calm and serene look in them turned into a wrathful and murderous flame. When he grabs one of them and suddenly bites into their neck, sharp fangs on display, comes your world crashing down on you as you finally see the truth. He’s a vampire and no spirit of the forest. You’re frozen out of shock, unable to avert your eyes as Itachi slaughters everyone and sucks their blood. He’s in a blood rush, eyes unfocused and hazy when he turns to you, chin covered in blood. Your scent penetrates his senses as he finds himself craving a taste of your sweet blood. You burst out in tears when he launches himself at you and forces you to tumble down with him on top of you. You feel his teeth about to sink into your skin when he suddenly stops, harshly breathing before he pulls back and bites down into his own arm, fangs tearing into his own flesh. He looks vulnerable in that moment but you don’t care, too afraid. You want to run but never get the chance as he’s swift to act, using his powers to make you go unconscious in his arms. His heart is in total turmoil but he doesn’t want to let you go.
Sasuke Uchiha
💙Revenge tends to blind you and causes you to lose sight of what is important. Sasuke knows better than anyone. He wanted so badly revenge for the murder of his family and was willing to go to the depths of hell for his goal. He trained relentlessly and pushed away all friends and people who cared for him. So when he one day got an offer from a vampire who promised him great power and strength, Sasuke didn’t hesitate. He endured the pain of transformation and had no problems adapting to his new thirst for blood. It was far easier to hunt down information now as he had gained special powers and only weeks later did he find them. Only that they were already at death’s door, an illness the cause. Sasuke was furious, it was unacceptable that they would die without paying the consequences. He visited them when they were alone at night only to find out the truth. His new powers allowed him to get to know what had really happened. They were innocent, the culprit was another who they had already avenged for Sasuke and his family since they had known the Uchiha very well. He had essentially given up his humanity for nothing. He was doomed to live lonely for eternity.
💙You’ve been a personal blood bag for a rowdy and sadistic vampire for years now and have given up hope completely. There is no life in your eyes anymore and you just comply with their every demand, endure all the pain and torture. When your owner gets into a conflict with another vampire crossing their territory, you hide from the scene. Your owner would only get angry if another vampire would discover you. You can’t help but think that they’re stupid since the man clearly has no interest in a conflict but they’re too arrogant to notice. When they touch him, the man warns them sternly once that he’ll kill them if they don’t let go. Obviously such a threat doesn’t sit well with your master who curses at them and grabs the man harshly by the collar. Within seconds they’re overpowered, a big gap in strength and experience as Sasuke rips the younger vampire apart. He warned them, it’s their fault. He then looks at your direction and tells you to come out, he’s long since noticed you. You’re a pitiful thing to look at, clothes torn and old, hair dirty and the smell of sickness following you. He knows why they kept you, you’re from rare blood. They didn’t take good care of you though.
💙Sasuke takes you with him after, seeing it as sort of naturally since he won so he gets what the other vampire wanted to hide from others. You’re silent when he tells you that you’re going to travel with him from now on but trail behind him nevertheless. You don’t know where your home is anyways and years of being alone with a sadistic vampire has dulled your social skills. You don’t have high expectations on your new vampire owner. He’s just keeping you for blood too. But you’re mildly surprised when you notice that he at least cares more for your own hygiene and health. He gets you new clothes, makes sure that you’re properly cleaned and tries to get you nutritious food. He’s sort of awkward so you guess that he hasn’t interacted with a human for a long time, much less has taken care of one. You gain a bit more health and your physical condition improves nevertheless. You are prepared when he wants to taste your blood, are a bit flabbergasted that he waited for you to be a bit more healthy again in the first place. Your previous owner never did that. You’re somewhat used to the pain although Sasuke gets quickly a bit rougher when your addicting blood hits his tastebuds.
💙He assumes your quiet and obedient behavior is a result of years of violation and abuse from the vampire who previously kept you. You’re somewhat dependent on Sasuke as you are unfamiliar with the world around you, you’ve mostly been caged for your life. He doesn’t mind, is actually pleased that you listen so well to him. Surprisingly enough Sasuke starts educating you when he finds out that you barely know the basics, a slightly sick feeling bubbling up in his stomach when he hears just how young you’ve been when you were taken. Would he have done the same? You barely speak and don’t seem to seem communication with others as necessarily important. You lack the experience and Sasuke himself has been alone for so long that he doesn’t know how to start a free conversation either, especially with you. You just hang around him and that seems to be enough for you. You surely are a bit strange, stare at him with those empty eyes and when he has to leave you alone, you wait patiently without moving from the spot. You used to spent days alone stuck after all.
💙You two are basically inseparable since you travel together. Months pass by, months where Sasuke senses a subtle change in you. You start opening up. Your emotions have been locked away for eternities to save you from a mental meltdown but under his care and the many travels you slowly learn to be a human who can feel something again. There is a spark of life in your eyes again, a childlike curiosity for the wonders around you. You get silently giddy when you see a river or butterflies. It would be almost ridiculous if Sasuke wouldn’t know of your circumstances and he allows you to wander around a bit and seek out a world you weren’t aware of. He knows that you won’t stray away, you’re too dependent for that and somehow it warms his own heart to see that you slowly recover. He himself has grown a weak spot for you, emotions piling up inside of him which he still struggles to adjust to. Falling in love with a human seemed ridiculous to him after becoming a vampire yet you surprised him. You’re only his.
💙You’re surprised when he asks you one day that question, shuffling closer to you, whilst you’re watching the fire burning brightly in front of you. “You only need me, right?” You look at him with your stoic face although there’s a spark of confusion in your eyes. Then you tilt your head slightly, a endearing habit you recently picked up. Then you just nod which causes a weird sensation to raise in his chest. You only have him after all. You don’t move when he leans closer, eyes half-lidded as he presses his lips against you. Experimental at first before he suddenly becomes harsher, grabs your head and pulls you closer as you feel sharp teeth sinking into your bottom lip, pulling slightly. The pain has you flinching shortly before you still, the taste of iron filling your mouth. His tongue flicks over your lips, taking in all of the divine blood he can get. He’s panting slightly when he pulls away, a genuine smile on his face. You’re such a good darling for him. He’ll treat you good, he promises. He’ll never let anything separate you, not even death. You’ll always be his.
Touya Todoroki
🔹Stories in the little village have it that in the old and burnt-down mansion in the forest lives the ghost of the oldest son of the family that used to resist in there. That’s the reason why no one dares to step anywhere near it, especially since people in the past started disappearing in the area around it. Some even tell that they’ve seen blue fire igniting out of nowhere at times. This so called ghost is in reality Touya, the son of the Todoroki family and only survivor after a terrible fire that occurred one night during the attack of a vampire. Every single one of his family was either killed by the vampire or was burnt to death. He suffered severe wounds at that time too, burning himself terribly and he was that close to death’s door if it wouldn’t have been for the vampire admiring the fact that despite all the injuries, he could still move. Out of some semblance of respect they decided to turn him but not even the advanced healing of a vampire could completely heal Touya as scars still stayed. It’s a bitter ironic of fate that his abilities as a vampire include controlling blue flames.
🔹You travel to the village because a acquaintance of yours told you about the old rumors. You have a thing for paranormal activities so you decide to pay a visit and investigate a bit. If you can catch a real ghost on camera, you’d be really happy. You believe in stuff such as ghosts and vampires and want to prove their existence to every friend of yours who doesn’t believe you. This isn’t the first time you’ve gone to a place where rumors exist but it’s the first time you’ve heard of such an old story. Not to mention that many of the villagers believe in it too so it’s the first time you’re surrounded by people who don’t make fun of you for thinking that things like ghosts and fairies exist. You’re still the crazy one as no one would ever dare to stay inside the mansion what is exactly your plan. It’s abandoned anyways and you don’t have a lot of money in your pockets so it’s easiest to just camp inside the old building. You have all your equipment and your food in cans so you’ll be fine. Everyone else in the village strongly objects, tells you that you’ll die.
🔹Most seem to give up when noticing your persistence and just label you as demented. You don’t mind though, you’ve heard that phrase for years now. You only plan to stay for a month where you’ll investigate and see if this place is worth observing permanently before traveling back home again. If you think that there really is something going on, you’ll have to plan for a more permanent stay in this village. To your luck the mansion is still intact which means that you have a roof over your head. Sure, it’s burnt, run-down and plants have started covering the structure but it’s still suitable. The first few days, you spend your time walking around, in awe. You can see the devastating traces of the fire and there’s a haunting sadness as you think about how this used to be once a house with a family. People died in the room you’re standing in and a house once filled with happy memories has now become a ghost house that everyone wants to stay away from. Because no one ever dared entering the house, many objects owned by the Todoroki’s are still here, although most of them burnt beyond recognition.
🔹Touya has by now accepted everything that happened, it’s been over a century after all. He’s finally managed to move away from the house, memories and grief having bound him to it for the first few years after his transformation. These days he’s often wandering around but comes a few times a year back to the place where his life began and also ended. He knows the gossip of the town but doesn’t give a shit. He’s stopped caring about humans for the biggest part, an eternal life has caused him to have empathy issues. He’s forgotten about love, the only things entertaining him now are his lust for blood and the thrill of seeing a human begging and crying when seeing him. He can’t go under humans with his skin and used to be quite insecure about it too. He still is but humans only see the monster in him. So he’s become the monster, it’s easier instead of fighting uselessly to prove that he has still human emotions. He travels back only to find a human resting in his house which baffles him a bit. You’re the first one in years.
🔹It’s amusing to watch you after he realizes that you chase for the supernatural. He’d like to think of you as silly with your equipment to measure paranormal activities but you aren’t wrong. He’s proof of your belief after all. He guesses that he can tolerate you since you respect his old home, he catches you often taking care of the run-down building as good as you can. At times you even silently pray for the dead family. He also loves when you become a bit frustrated because you haven’t seen anything yet. That’s when he decides to entertain you, during one night where you’re outside of the mansion, searching for anything, you nearly drop your torch when you see the blue flame. You get all excited which is adorable, Touya has to do it again to see you all giddy. You don’t leave the region surrounding the ruins so Touya can basically watch you all the time and he’s smug enough to admit that he loves that. He hasn’t bothered with humans in a long time but he doesn’t mind with you. Your weird fascination flatters him as you show even fascination in grotesque figures of literature and fantasy. That means you wouldn’t feel repulsed but his appearance, right?
🔹You’re convinced that it must be Touya, try to talk to him, even with a Ouija board. On the last day of your stay you hear noises inside the room that used to belong to Touya once and see him standing there when you come running inside. Your eyes widen and you stare at him in awe and utter fascination, no sign of fear. Your eyes wander over his scarred body, pity bubbling up inside your stomach. You step carefully closer to him, afraid he might disappear. When you stand right in front of him, you reach out to him shakily with both of your hands and he leans in closer, allows you that he’s really standing in front of you. Your hands are warm and you don’t pull away when feeling the marred skin of his. You tense up a bit when he leans his head on your shoulder, comforted by your reaction and touch. If he had still a beating heart, it would be in a frenzy right now. You hear him mumbling an apology, initial confusion replaced by pain when sharp teeth sink into your skin and you feel your blood being suck. A vampire. He’s a vampire. Your vision starts turning back when he pulls back, gives you a quick peck on your lips and tells you that he won’t hurt you. Your disappearance only amplifies the fear of the villagers.

Sakura did feel so much more relaxed with Itachi’s arm around her waist, and him just being close to her. It made her feel safe and secure but didn’t save the nurses from her going teacher mode on them. She wasn’t being hard on them in a mean spirited way but in a way that she wanted to push them to perform at their very best. But also… She wasn’t used to having herself be worked on. Normally, she can heal and do everything herself. It put her on edge to have to rely on other people to heal her.
She was taken completely by surprise when Itachi’s face leaned in so close to hers. Sakura could feel his warm breath on her cheek making her once stern expression turn to one of fluster. Her cheeks growing red in response,
“E-eh??”
Her attention was completely pulled away from the nurses like he planned. Sakura was always so easily distracted but even more so with him. Especially with him being so close to her. His face inches from hers. It made her heart skip a beat and reminded her how much she was attracted to him, “I… I have actually…” Sakura stammered a bit, “I-i found a new brand that I liked the smell of and it makes my hair feel super soft.” She didn’t think it was that noticeable.
Her gaze was completely pulled away from the nurses when he cupped her cheek, turning her head to look only at him. Focusing on how close he was instead of on what the nurses were doing. Sakura could just about melt when she felt his fingers brush through some of her hair, his free hand lacing his fingers with her good hand. For a moment, the entire world just melted away and it was just them, “I… I would like that, actually… I-i suppose I did let my hair become a mess.” And she always loved it when someone brushed and played with her hair.
Seeing that this was their opening, the nurses went straight to work. Acting fast, they shoved Sakura’s bone back into place with a CRACK! Sakura yelped out, “F-fuck! Y-you were supposed to numb me first!!” Her hand squeezed Itachi’s tightly, and her eyes teared up a bit,
“Sorry doctor!! I-i forgot!!” The blonde nurse stammered, panicking a bit. It was clear Sakura made them both a nervous wreck. They quickly used their chakra to ease Sakura’s pain, and refused the one back together so it could heal normally. Then they bandaged Sakura’s arm up in protective wrapping to hold it all in place,
“You both are sooo lucky I’m injured or I’d have you both writing me ten page essays on what you did wrong here. Once it was over, Sakura pulled her injured arm back close to her chest. The two nurses knew they were in for it when Sakura recovered,
“A-ah… D-doctor, you need to wear the sling too for at least a few weeks…” The brown haired nurse nervously approached her, “Can I please put it on you?”
“Ugh, fine.” Sakura looked displeased but allowed the nurse to put her arm in the sling and have it wrapped over her neck,
“How am I supposed to do anything like this?” Everything was going to be so much more difficult with only one arm to work with. Working was out of the question for now but she couldn’t help but think of all the mundane things that were going to be so much harder. Cleaning, cooking, bathing, getting dressed, and so on. She didn’t realize how often she needed to use two hands for everything. This sucked.
“You both can go now. Please tell Shizune that I will be needing her to take my place for a while. If an emergency comes up, fetch me immediately.”
“Yes Doctor!” Both nurses said, quickly packing their bags, and leaving. Not wanting to remain longer under the hard gaze of their boss,
“I’m such an idiot for putting myself in this situation!” Sakura let out a defeated sigh, once again punching down on herself over a simple accident and moment of weakness.
ㅤ«I'm glad you confessed, then. Wouldn't want you to burst, we'll have enough cleaning to do around the house as it is.»
ㅤWas he, mid-joke, already hinting at the idea he would stay even after the nurses left? Yes, he very much was. Even if he was missing the entire story of what happened, what led Sakura to such a broken state of mind that she saw no solution other than to nearly drink herself into a coma, Itachi was well aware of the general outline. His eyes might be useless, now, but his keen perception remained sharper than a kunai's edge. Over the few months they'd spent in each other's company, first at the hospital during his nearly endless recovery and then in often visiting Sakura to have his body monitored, he was confident in claiming he'd learned a good lot about her. Sakura was as tough as her punches, no questions asked, and harbored an inner strength and resilience that could put a mountain to shame... yet, underneath it all, he knew there were so many more layers. Often, he could sense the hint of sadness in the laughter she forced; find the rough edges of truth in attempted jokes that were far too self-deprecating to be without meaning. If he could help it, he would not leave her on her own now.
«Of course. Make some room for me.»
ㅤSaying so, he quickly made himself stand again and snuggled up to her good side, as she'd just requested. Itachi might be no doctor himself but he knew well enough what the procedure for this case would have to be - and resetting bones was never fun business. By the time the nurses walked in and his clone poofed away into smoke, he had an arm gently wrapped around Sakura's waist in a way that [hopefully!] would not be a nuisance but, at the same time, could at least provide her with some comfort. He remained silent, then, and let the events unfold.
ㅤIn a matter of one single minute, though, it already became clear it was not going to go peacefully. Sakura's harsh tone even caught him slightly off guard, having never witnessed her act so... dominant, to use a mild word. Sure, every now and then, she would yell at some other nurse who'd been responsible for his care back at the hospital, but nothing ever too dramatic. At present, she seemed about to swallow the poor students whole and he could only imagine the terror that must be showing on their faces. Maybe it was time for... some other kind of help? Manipulation, in the sense of knowing how to make things go his way, was something that came to Itachi as easily as breathing - if he'd managed to successfully fool a criminal organization for almost a decade, surely he now could find a way to soothe a friend/potentially more than a friend with words and gestures.
ㅤ«Sakura,» he began, then, his voice soft and perfectly unassuming as he leaned in till the tip of his nose was practically poking at her temple, «have you switched shampoo brands? Your hair smells different now.» Unexpected? Totally unrelated to what was currently happening? Borderline silly? Yes, all of those; all of them deliberately so. The intention was clear to himself only: to distract Sakura and bring her attention away from the poor girls and straight onto him. Shifting a bit, he brought his hand up so that it was now gently cradling the side of her head, starting to play with the pink strands. His other hand reached for her good one, linking their fingers together, and he gave it a little squeeze. «I think I like this scent better, actually. Though-» saying so, he made a brief pause as one of his fingers got caught on a tangle - a teasing smile coming to his lips, «you also seem like you could do with a decent brushing. Can I do it for you, later?»

dry humping w itachi😮💨
dry humping with itachi
[🗼] hii guys ive been doing very good now !! my head is a lot better now so I'll be posting the requests from two weeks ago ayyy im so sorry tho
characters: itachi uchiha
genre: nsfw
warnings: gn!reader; dry humping duh; dirty talk ??;
..
..
..
-itachi is definitely an expert in this subject!!
-of course he enjoys destroying you little tight hole once in a while, but he is so touch starved !! he sometimes just wants to be with you, be inside you but without penetrating you, you know ??
-I picture itachi being the type of boyfriend that cherishes those affective moments, especially if they are coming from you
-since he doesn't really know how to show physical affection–his weird way of speaking being his only weapon–, itachi loves this kind of moments where he can hold you without the sexual intention behind it
-OKAY stop the fluff we are here for the nasty smelly headcanons with this handsome fuckboy
-dry humping with itachi occurs very spontaneously because it's something that happens without the both of you thinking about it, as if it were a "casual" encounter
-little do you know that in itachi's mind, a lot of things are already planned and new ones are being planned
-it would happen when you are doing something while standing, like cutting veggies, cookies, rearranging your bookshelf, setting the wash machine, or just listing your errands
-itachi would come behind you, touching and caressing your waist very casually, asking about your day or what you are going very nonchalantly, as if he isn't grinding himself against you
-his hands would probably explore your chest, which he loves so much
-plus if you have juicy soft titties,,, he loves those
-itachi is so smooth about it. his hands are literally rubbing your nipples, which are getting hard, his leg is going between your legs, rubbing your crotch, and he is whispering the sweetest words he can think of
-"im so happy you came into my life" "I wish moments like this never end" "I will always love you" "I found myself when I found you" "I have to thank you for everything you have unconsciously done to me"
-itachi knows perfectly what he is doing, while your bottoms are probably soaking by now for the mere rubbing or his words, itachi continues as if you aren't clenching on the bench before you
-this lasts a while until itachi finally lets himself lose into you
-his large hands are everywhere, gripping your body with such pressure that is actually a bit conforming
-he now starts grinding his throbbing bulge against your butt, his mouth now sucking at your neck, leaving some red marks that would later become purple
-NOW dry humping can also happen before going to sleep in your bed. it probably happens when you haven't had sex in quite a while and you want to have some action without doing so much action ??
-just the same, itachi starts by hugging you from behind, your butt touching his clothed cock multiple times until you are sure he is hard as a rock
-itachi then motions you to move on top of him, your crotches now rubbing at each other
-it is actually quite erotic though, his big bulge massaging your hole until your came in your panties will always satisfy itachi to no end

[Itachi Uchiha X Reader] Never Let You Go
|500 Followers Event|
Order: Table 7: Shoyu Ramen with Tamago and Wonton, Tempura
Pairing: Itachi Uchiha x fem!Reader
Note: Good luck with Finals! Well, here we go with another Itachi one for this week. Thank you, Shion for the request! Hope those of you from the "First Snow" series (if you ever come across this) will hate Itachi less :DD I know I'm being wishful after all the angsty I poured into the series :'))) Also, this one was relatively hard to write because the rain and Itachi appear to be so soft to me that I had to go through a great ordeal to come up with an angsty plot, but it was well worth it. And I also realized that I've written many Itachi fics that feature the rain, so check them out: "Dealt", "Until We Meet Again", "Crystalline". Without further ado, enjoy!
“You’re just a pawn in my plan. Now that you’ve completed your job here, I don’t want to see you again. Get lost—you and your stupidity.”
You stood on trembling feet, your eyes boring right through his, a big lump forming in your throat as Itachi trailed his hand across the back of an unfamiliar woman sitting on his lap.
Just returned from running errands, you were overjoyed when you spotted the light of your shared place shining through the glass windows. Based on the note he left before leaving for a mission four weeks ago, you did not expect Itachi to be back until five more days. Bubblingly, you opened the door, hopped your way in, and called out for him while shaking yourself off of the rain that just started pouring. Then, you heard shuffling noises in your bedroom, pulling you into its direction, and you stilled the moment your eyes peeked through the thin crack of the ajar door—breath and soul.
Itachi was on your shared bed, but there was also another woman slinging her arms around his neck. Her face was buried in his chest, facing away from your view. You tried to swallow the sobs that spilled from your lips by clasping both hands on your mouth, stifling any sounds you made. When your knees buckled and you dropped onto the ground with a loud thud, the noises in the room stopped. Terrified, you desperately scrambled onto your feet and bolted back out. But his gravelly voice cut through you like a sword, “I’ve been waiting, come on in.”
His voice was monotonic but his words felt heavy in your ears. You did not dare to lift your head once you closed your bedroom door, endlessly persuading yourself that this was just a dream—that he would never betray you. “Itachi—”
“Don’t say my name. You’re spoiling it.”
You jolted and sucked in a ragged inhale, feeling a pulse at your temple. “I’m s-sorry.”
“Let’s get straight to the point.” He raised his browed and sat up. The woman got off of him but still had her back against you. The raven-haired lovingly looked at her, tucking her hair behind her ears gently. “I’m no longer interested in you, Y/N, as you can clearly see. And we’ll be leaving tomorrow morning. Now, if you please, don’t disturb us for the night.”
Your mind was blank, still struggling to process the information thrown your way. The color drained from your face as you stared at them, baffled. Unbelievingly, you tried to give him a twisted smile. “I—You must be joking right? You promised me—there’s no way—”
“You’re just a pawn in my plan. Now that you’ve completed your job here, I don’t want to see you again. Get lost—you and your stupidity.”
Your eyes widened at his words, and you stumbled backward until your back came into contact with the hard door—nothing could compare to the agony you felt in your heart, burning as it scorched through every cell of your body, squeezing every ounce of hope from your drying soul. Dropping your gaze on the floor, you fumbled for the doorknob behind your back and willed yourself out of the constricting room. You feared his betrayal, you feared his reason, and you feared the truth. Mindlessly, you dashed out of your house and into the rain, using the freezing raindrops to numb your wrenching heart. The tears that brimmed your eyes now trailed the curve of your cheeks, disguising themselves into the rain. It rained harder as if the sky was dawning your pain—soothing, almost.
When you disappeared into the woods, Itachi’s gaze lowered into his hands, and the woman moved away from him. She wearily stared out into the gloomy sky, asking, “Are you sure that Y/N will be okay?”
“That’s the most I can do for her happiness.” He smiled sadly, muttering, “I...don’t have much time left.”
“But—”
Her voice was cut off by a loud thunder striking from above. Itachi immediately shifted his eyes to where he last saw you, restlessness coiled in his stomach. The woman sighed, “The decision is still up to you, Itachi. Y/N is a great person—”
“That’s why I’m letting her go,” he got off from the bed and put on his cloak, walking out of the room.
“Where are you going?”
“I…need some time alone.” Without another word, he left.
When Itachi closed the door, his eyes darkened. The rain was hammering off his cloak, shrieking and howling was the wind that rushed through the air. The raven-haired did not wait any longer to trail the path you took, and his brows furrowed the moment he realized you drove yourself into a swampy, jeopardous area of the woods. Itachi cursed under his breath. The rain was practically blinding by now, and you ran away bare-handed. The thunder struck once more, Itachi heard a crackling sound coming from the forest. And he began to frantically search for a sight of you, praying that you were safe.
He finally realized how much your smile brightened his day and how much your teary eyes stung his heart—how much you meant to him. For once, he would be selfish, for once, he wished to live his life to the fullest, and his life lay in yours.
When Itachi spotted you, you were under a tree, having nowhere to shelter yourself under. You were hugging both knees into your chest and balling yourself up, trying to endure the heavy downpour. Right at that moment, the brach above you snapped, and he did not think before his body moved on its accord, charging towards you, and timely bringing you out of danger. However, Itachi managed to cover you from any injuries but suffered several scrapes in his place for yours.
“Y/N,” he touched your haggard cheeks, “I’m sorry—”
You clung onto him with both arms, dipping your face into his warm chest, and cried hysterically, “Please don’t leave me, I—”
“Y/N, listen,” he breathed out, “I—I never wanted us to part, it’s just…I don’t know how long I have…left.”
“I know about your illness Itachi, you don’t have to hide it, not anymore.” You confessed, but before he had a chance to react, you wrapped your arms tighter around him. “I never slept when you woke up in the middle of the night because you had trouble breathing. I knew those pills you hid in the corner of our cupboard. I also knew the bloodstains on your shirt were not from killing others but rather your coughs.”
“You knew...all along?”
You nodded and caressed his face with both hands. “I knew everything, Itachi, and I still want to be with you. We will find a way. So please don’t let go—”
The rest of your words were swallowed in the passionate kiss that he pressed to your lips. Your tears and the rain—bitter, but it was all you wanted, all you needed.
"I promise, Y/N, for now, and for as long as I'm on this Earth, I'll never let you go."

Hi, I love your blog and I read it every day... ❤️
I have a question, do you think that Sakura, Hinata or someone from the village knew or suspected the true feelings of Naruto and Sasuke?👀
That's right, in the manga, when Naruto is talking to Sakura about Sai, Naruto gets nervous or something like that, however the face that he puts in the manga is as if he was putting it to the test.
I don't know maybe I'm just hallucinating but I want to know your opinion. I'm sorry if you don't understand, my language is Spanish.
🍅🍅🍥🍥
Aahhh!!! Insanely interesting ask, Anon. I love this one!!!!
I think no one suspects their feelings between them but they know Naruto and Sasuke feels ‘something’ about each other to the point when something happens to one of them, the other would react in an intense manner.
I mean, Kishi cannot put a scene , say Sakura, doubting their feelings for each other otherwise it would stir up a lot of trouble, that is, it would confirm something’s really going on between the two. (Which is not ‘typical’ of Shounen. Sigh!!!)
However, Kishi does things in his own way by making it as a joke or a casual thing. And I am going to include everyone from the Narutoverse, not just someone from Konoha.
PEOPLE WHO MILDLY ‘SHIPS’ NARUTO AND SASUKE IN NARUTOVERSE
Alright, people, Here ‘Ship’ means not in a romantical sense. But in a platonic or friendly sense.
HAKU
When I watched this series for the first time, I always wondered ‘What made Haku think that attacking Naruto would make Sasuke fall into the trap?’.
Then I realized Sasuke was carrying Naruto around to protect him from Haku’s senbon attacks at any cost, which made Sasuke expose his weakness and Haku just fount it and used it against him.
OROCHIMARU
Some other shippers claim ‘Forest of the Death’ Arc belonged to Ms.Pinky. But Orochimaru and Kabuto’s analysis proves it otherwise. But what did he found there?
Designing a lengthy password which Naruto cannot remember to lure Orochimaru out.
When Naruto came to save Sasuke, he panicked and asked Naruto to ‘Run Away’ and gave up the scroll.
Fought back Orochimaru after seeing Naruto got knocked out.
Kabuto found that Sasuke was overusing Sharingan even to the point of enduring Cursed Seal’s pain to protect Naruto.
KABUTO
“Hardly behaving as a man”... LOL.
OROCHIMARU AGAIN
This whole battle is to provoke Naruto using Sasuke’s name. And when Orochimaru used the word, ‘My Sasuke-kun’... Naruto just got deranged to the point of sprouting 4 Tails.
KAKASHI
Sasuke is Naruto’s strength. Kakashi said it. It’s canon, Guys.
KIBA
It’s surprising that Kiba also knows that Naruto gets Hot-Headed when it comes to Sasuke.
KABUTO AGAIN
Gosh!!!! These Orochimaru and Kabuto duo maybe absolute trash. But they do know something about Naruto and Sasuke.
PAIN
LOL.... How did Nagato know about Naruto chasing Sasuke??? Is this some International news?
ITACHI
I always wondered as to why Itachi posed this particular question to him? A question which forces Naruto to choose an option. An impossible option which Itachi chose and endured a lot of pain for. Naruto protecting the village is obvious. Why did he ask Naruto about Sasuke? What did he saw?
The answer is in part 1. When Itachi visited the village after Hiruzen’s death, he ‘planned’ to kidnap Naruto. When Sasuke came in between, Itachi just beat the crap out of him.
But Naruto was so furious to draw Kyuubi Chakra to protect Sasuke. Itachi noticed this very well and hence came to this conclusion. That’s why Itachi didn’t pay any attention to Sasuke. LOL. Which made Sasuke go crazy.
KARIN
This doesn’t need any explanation, does it??? Probably Sasuke might’ve reacted to his name and Karin noticed it. Who knows? Anyways, it’s interesting that a person outside of Konoha could able to connect Sasuke with Naruto, meaning, Karin could able to see something’s going on between them.
KURAMA
ROFL..... There’s no one better in this world to ask Naruto, this particular question, other than Kurama.
KURAMA AGAIN
“What kind of flavour did that Sasuke’s lips have?”.... Gosh!!! This is such an useless scene. Most importantly, Naruto is getting Nose Bleed here.
ITACHI AGAIN
No doubt, Itachi is the No.1 shipper of SNS. He knew Naruto can change Sasuke.
OBITO
Well, Obito was right about one thing... Naruto’s death can bring powers to Sasuke. But he was wrong about underestimating both of them, that is, they will fight on Obito’s accord.
OROCHIMARU AGAIN
One of my favorite underrated SNS scene. There is no mention of Pink Trash or anyone else. Well, he lived with him for 3 years. He is the only person who can read Sasuke’s expression perfectly.
TOBIRAMA
Gosh!!!!! This!!!!! This is just an alien level shipping. Tobirama, a person who rarely compliments, but when he does, it must be damn excellent. Like he was so happy to see Minato was so fast in performing Hiraishin no Jutsu, a jutsu he invented. He openly admitted his admiration 3 times.
When he complimented the ‘Level of Unison’ achieved by two 16 year old boys, which takes YEARS to achieve is so heartwarming. Because, only we, the audience, knew that Naruto and Sasuke fought together for the last time way back when they were 12 in Land of Waves arc. Even then they could team up together without any direct communication.
Damn!!!!
OROCHIMARU AGAIN
This is another underrated scene and Orochimaru scores for SNS. We saw Naruto was crying rivers when Obito sucked everyones’s chakra. Sasuke’s face seems to be in a bad mood.
Orochimaru really is the Mood Finder of Sasuke.
PEOPLE OF KONOHA
Damn!!!! This is my all time favourite!!!!!!
This is when Ebisu Sensei, fondly remembers how Naruto has grown from a Deadlast (in Episode 1) to an Hero (End of Pain Arc). During one of his memories, People of Konoha appreciates Naruto for stopping Gara from Invading Konoha and Bring Tsunade as Fifth Hokage. When it comes to retrieving Sasuke, this panel appears.
Even people of Konoha themselves knows that Naruto will be depressed if Sasuke is not there in Konoha with him.
I mean, for every achievements Naruto made, the villagers praised him. When Jiraiya was dead, the villagers felt, ‘Naruto will not lose heart, He’ll keep on going, like always’. But when it comes to Sasuke, the villagers implicitly felt that Naruto will be depressed.
Kishi is showing us that everyone in Narutoverse understands the feelings between Naruto and Sasuke, but he didn’t drew the extent as to how far it goes. He just left it ambiguous.
But one thing is sure,
‘Everyone knows that they both are connected somehow and both of them have certain influence on each other which no other person has in Narutoverse and they know that one will suffer without the other.’

𝘭𝘪𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦 : ̗̀➛ seven. i only simp for itachi🙏🏻
warnings ; profanity, naruto spoilers(??), toxic masculinity
a/n ; ayo beomgyu??👀 mhm okay we see you
the savoury scent of hamburgers and fries filled the air, the car halted in the mcdonalds parking lot. you took a sip of your drink and looked cautiously at beomgyu, eyes wide and straw still between your lips.
"did you also want the family value pack?" you asked curiously.
beomgyu laughed. "you said you wanted fries, right?"
"oh! uh, i guess i did!" you desperately fought the red threatening to burn across your face. ryujin was right, you should be careful, but something about beomgyu this time round felt... different. if in the past he had sucked up all your affection like a parasite, now you could almost dare to think that you were on the recieving end.
"hey, by the way," beomgyu said suddenly, "why were you smashing your head into the table?"
ah, crap. so embarrassing.
"okay i'll tell you, but only if you promise not to laugh. deal?" you proposed. beomgyu nodded solemnly, crossing his arms in an attempt to appear serious.
"i may or may not have told the very tall very intimidating male who sits next to me in stats that i completely forgot about his existence and do not consider him a friend."
silence.
beomgyu closed his eyes and clamped his mouth shut, desperately trying to fight off a smile. the corners of his mouth quipped up and trembled, before he finally gave up and burst into an uncontrollable chortle.
"hey! you promised not to laugh!" you whined, poking him in the shoulder when he continued doubling over.
"holy shit, sorry, it's just too-" he managed to get out only a couple of words before the stomach-gripping laughter took over once again.
you couldn't help but laugh along with him- choi beomgyu in tears laughing was a contagious sight.
ding!
"ah, sorry! that was my phone." beomgyu said, wiping a small tear from the corner of his eye, "let me check this out real quick."
"did something happen?"
beomgyu stiffened visibly at the sound of your voice, seemingly uncomfortable now for whatever reason.
"huh? oh no, it's nothing." he mumbled, cracking you a small smile. taehyun and yeonjun were definitely wrong, there was absolutely no way he was falling for you. it was supposed to be the opposite way round, this was just his way of having fun! the adrenaline that coursed through his veins whenever he talked to you for the last couple of days was just from the thrill of getting a girl to completely fall for him, nothing else. besides, it wasn't like this was his first time talking to you- he had played with you so many times now, why would he suddenly only now start genuinely being attracted to you? you were just another girl, there was nothing special about you.

i know naruto is portrayed in the manga as being right about everything and it’s like shonen mc writing disease sure but to say that sasuke was right about everything? when his goal was to make himself, a 16/17 year old boy at that point, the judge, jury and executioner of the whole world for the rest of time and become the most hated person in said world only so the villages could be united… how is that not a self harming self destructive also idealistic idea of a revolution? sasuke wasn’t completely right about everything and neither was naruto. it sucks to see sasuke stans imply how he should’ve killed naruto (literally the last living person he loves) and become a miserable, completely detached figure of judgement. it’s like do you want him happy or do you want him on the brink of madness? 🤔
yeah omg. and sorry but just like i said itachi made naruto’s character worse, he also made sasuke’s because this final plan is terrible and it’s just a way of sasuke emulating his brother. i honestly don’t think either naruto or sasuke know how to fix things, not by themselves at least, even though i do believe they balance each other so one can see things the other doesn’t. sasuke has a point when saying the villages were only at peace because they had a common enemy, but the execution is so… yikes. the whole military idea would still exist btw? they would just use forces against one person

Taka’s members’ bond with Sasuke. (For Taka team’s stans, this one’s for you.)
I don't think there's any point in introducing the Taka team again.
But as today's point is to prove the link as a point of complementarity with Sasuke. I'm going to take a look at the personal lives of each of them.
Ps: sorry for the typos, english is not my mother tongue.
SUIGETSU:
We are going to start with Suigetsu, like Sasuke, Suigetsu had a big brother, pretty strong and skilled because Mangetsu was the only one of the 7 swordsmen of the mist to master the 7 swords of Kiri. Suigetsu's dream was to become as strong as his big brother to enter the 7 swordsmen assassins club, whom he admired a lot, but Mangetsu died rather prematurely while protecting his little brother Suigetsu. Suigetsu trained hard to barely match half of his big brother's sword skills. He also comes from a known clan from the village of Kiri, the clan Hozūki, and owns a Kekkei Genkai, which allows him to liquefy his body from flesh to water. Pretty handy for a swordsman, isn't it? No blade can pierce his body. That's also why Orochimaru was interested in him and kept him prisoner in his laboratories for so many years. Doesn't that remind you of Sasuke? The story of the big brother to be surpassed in abilities, even though he was so admired by the little one? Sasuke had to kill Itachi because he had to avenge his clan, Suigetsu had to become much better than Mangetsu because he promised him before Mangetsu died, that he would take back the title of "Kijin no Sairai" - "the second coming of the demon" (as far as my translation is concerned), so he got it into his head to collect all the swords from Kiri village, in order to take back his brother's inheritance. It's rather cute when you think about it. Suigetsu, in spite of appearances, is not a deeply evil person even if he spent most of his life training to become an assassin. Of all the times he made fun of Karin for her feelings towards Sasuke and Karin hit him, he never twisted back once. Suigetsu doesn't have a family anymore, like Sasuke, he's the last survivor of his clan. Moreover, I wanted to add that Suigetsu, sometimes appears like a coward but is actually very competent, and he is certainly a better swordsman than Sasuke. At the same age, (at 16 years old) Suigetsu had already done 2 - D rank missions, 33 - C rank missions - 40 - B rank missions, 13 - A rank missions and finally 4 - S rank missions originally reserved for jônin, can he be considered as such?
KARIN:
What do we know about Karin?
At first, not much is said, except that she is a very competent sensory ninja, that Sasuke, with Suigetsu came personally to look for. He chose her, among many other competent ninjas. He acknowledged her as the best in her field. That's a canon fact.
Another true thing, Sasuke, who came personally to pick her up, confessed that he needed her to reach his goal.
"I need you, Karin", really happened.
He wasn't forced to do it, on the contrary, Suigetsu, who wasn't a big fan of Karin, spent his time dissuading Sasuke from going to pick her up and take her on the team, but Sasuke insisted.
They saved each other's lives several times. Karin healed him with her "Heal Bite" and he during their fight against Killer Bee, awakened a new power from his Mangekyō Sharingan: Kagutsuchi. He was able to extinguish the flames of the Amaterasu that had touched Karin. His face, scared of losing his teammate, proves how much Sasuke cares about his Taka teammates but especially about Karin. After I will not go on betting that he cares about her, romantically or just friendly because that's not the point and nothing in the manga proves that he did it romantically or kindly, I just want to emphasize this point: he was willing to die, and put Juugo's and Suigetsu's lives in danger in order to save Karin.
We learn a little more about Karin, during the Edotensei scene with Itachi and Sasuke against Kabuto. Kabuto then talks about Taka team members and reveals to Sasuke that Karin is indeed part of the Uzumaki clan, like Naruto, and that's why she has a huge chakra cluster. She regenerates quickly her own wounds but she can help others to regenerate and heal themselves by sharing her chakra, by biting her because it's the fastest way: in fact, the injured person drinks Karin's chakra and regenerates herself/himself in a few moments.
Besides the fact that Karin was used by Sasuke to locate Itachi through her powerful chakra and to warn him of his possible enemies, and of course to heal him in case he would be seriously wounded, she is not an exceptional ninja in combat, she must even very often be saved either by Sasuke or by Suigetsu. Sasuke knew that very well. He was never shocked that Karin might be a weight for them in their adventures. He chose her by himself, nobody forced Karin to be there and decided to protect her.
The scene where Sasuke "sacrifices" Karin to kill Danzō is totally a scene to be taken with extenuating circumstances. Sasuke finally being in front of the person who ruined his life, who ordered the massacre of the Uchiha clan, he couldn't do otherwise, he was forced by all means to kill him. Karin being in his field of action because she wanted to help him, was also pierced by Sasuke's chidori blade. Don't forget though, that he didn't really sacrifice her because she didn't die, since he didn't aim at Karin's vital points.
I still want to thank Sakura for helping Karin with her medical ninjutsu, she is still part of Karin's healing process, without Sakura's intervention, she might have had a hard time healing this time.
I also wanted to point out, on the scene following Karin's famous "sacrifice":
Karin thus finds herself on the ground, dying slowly, Obito then proposes to Sasuke to finish her off, properly because she knows too much about their plan. Sasuke doesn't even take the time to answer him. During this scene, Sasuke takes an exceptional time to load his chidori, giving Team 7 time to arrive on the scene, another proof that deep down he really didn't want to kill her. It is finally on Sakura that Sasuke decides to use his chidori, and not on Karin. Karin then dissuades him... but Sakura is really not far from being killed this time by Sasuke.
This scene is powerful, but it shows the total disinterest of Team 7 in the eyes of Sasuke, at least the disinterest he has in Sakura's life. Sakura being a burden, and considering her as the enemy, had to be eliminated as soon as possible. He was also never afraid to confront Kakashi. The only one for which he has doubts, a certain apprehension that he tries indirectly to hide, remains definitely for Naruto, but again, he does not hesitate to threaten him if Naruto still chases after him.
To finish with Karin, she is part of the Uzumaki clan, one of the oldest clans in the Shinobi world, and derived from the Senju clan, there are not many members of the clan left, at least to our knowledge except Karin, Naruto and Nagato. At the end of the war, only Karin and Naruto remain. She shares this fact with Sasuke. She also had lost her entire family during the previous war, her mother was used for medical purposes, literally having her chakra sucked until her death. She became an orphan at a very young age, left to live on her own, abused by others until she met Orochimaru. She has no one left. When she meets Sasuke, she falls in love with him for his beauty, he is pretty handsome, but as a sensory ninja, she found that he has a beautiful and attractive chakra, she realized right away that Sasuke is not as bad as he pretends to be. She took a close interest in him, and I think the interest was mutual.
JŪGO:
Jūgo, is certainly the only member where we are poorly with information about him.
Jūgo is a deeply kind and loving boy but is possessed by a heavy weight that overwhelms him: the cursed seal. He is the first holder of the cursed seal, it is with his DNA that Orochimaru started his experiments. The poor man, being unable to control his murderous impulses, preferred to die rather than to leave his cell when Sasuke, Suigetsu and Karin came to get him. Sasuke promised to hold him, Jūgo, usually not confident, agrees to come with them because Kimimaro had acknowledged Sasuke. Jūgo, in addition to his incredible physical strength when possessed by the cursed seal, is able to communicate with the birds. Sasuke uses Jūgo through this ability so that his birds can locate the Akatsukis' hideout and that he can create a map from the information transmitted by these birds. Also, Jūgo is an orphan, and since Kimimaro died, he was literally alone in the world. He has no known family, and his affiliation to a particular clan is unknown. Another peculiarity that Sasuke shares with his teammates.
I consider Jūgo as Sasuke/Suigetsu/Karin’s big brother. He took care of them. There also is a scene where he puts Sasuke in his futon after having treated him and bandaged him, because Sasuke had fallen asleep sitting, from exhaustion.
This boy is soooooo cute and gentle. His bipolar side contrasts enormously. His murderous personality with his soft and wise side.
Well, Sasuke's plan was perfect and well thought out.
To answer the question I was asked, "What do they do as Team Taka, besides help Sasuke enter into darkness?"
I, for one, don't hold Team Taka members responsible for Sasuke's entry into the darkness. Far from it. Sasuke was motivated by his hatred for killing Itachi, and after the final battle with his brother, motivated by revenge for those who led to his downfall. Don't get me wrong, I always feel that when it comes to Sasuke, the people who interact with him are responsible for his actions. No, Sasuke most certainly suffers from PTSD, living in unresolved grief since the death of his family, in hatred and constant pain, doesn't need anyone to think for him. He's an intelligent boy, he knows his purpose, he knows he would sacrifice himself to restore honor to those he has lost. His goal was just that. I sincerely think that deep down Sasuke wanted to change the Shinobi world, build new foundations, and achieve peace, so that what he experienced would never happen again, but it was a kind of pipe dream because he really thought he would die in his next confrontation with Naruto. He expected no less.
It really pisses me off that people think that Sasuke is acting according to the actions of others. I don't remember hearing Suigetsu, Karin or Jugo suggest a plan of action to kill someone or do something. He was the leader of this team. The others were acting on his behalf and not the other way around. He was the one who came to find them, he was the one who surrounded himself with these shinobis to help him achieve his goal. You let yourself be influenced by Naruto “talk no jutsu” in Gaiden who dares to tell the Taka team to mind their own business when he himself spent years to mind Sasuke's business, without even understanding the reason for his actions.
Gaiden makes the Taka team look like the villains who helped Sasuke carry out the actions of his hatred, but look closer, they did nothing so exceptional except help him find Itachi and obey Akatsuki's orders to attack Killer B.
It even seems to me that the Taka team were, in the end, the only ones who listened sincerely to Sasuke, to meet his expectations, to try to understand him.
A non-canon fact unfortunately, in a novel about Sasuke, after Itachi's death, Sasuke makes a kind of pilgrimage to learn more about his brother, during his Akatsuki period, and then meets two brothers, who were preparing drops for Itachi's eyes, and they make him think about him and Itachi when they were kids. ... I'm going to skip over the real story of this novel, although it's very well written for a non-canon novel, and we find Sasuke on his scene, by the sea, where he desperately lets go of all his pain in a torrent of tears, and decides to rename Hebi team into Taka team.
Karin, Suigetsu and Jugo were present during one of the worst moments of Sasuke's life: Itachi's death and thus the mourning of his older brother.
In spite of Itachi's terrible actions and choices to raise Sasuke's power, Sasuke still considers him as his beloved older brother who sacrificed himself for a village that never gave them the chance to live, properly...
Again, as I already said in another post, I truly think that all the people close to Sasuke tried to control his choices and his life, without asking his opinion.
Itachi made it clear that he tried to trace Sasuke's life from his childhood to what he became and finally disappointed to have failed... but what the hell did he expect?
Naruto, who absolutely wants Sasuke to go back to Konoha, but why? He knew very well that the people in Konoha would bully him for his actions, when he was already bullied enough to be an Uchiha in Konoha. So Naruto claims to know what's best for Sasuke. What?!
Sakura... is Sakura.
Kakashi and Jiraya tried to dissuade Sakura and Naruto from desperately pursuing a guy who clearly wanted to get the hell out of this village: Sasuke is not worth it.
Decidedly, Sasuke doesn't get much grace from people. Between those who think he's a sulky, who always makes moods because he has some problems in his life and those who judge him without knowing a second of his existence and his journey, he's really badly surrounded.
The Taka team is the only one that hasn't gone into the details and is following Sasuke, even before he decides to explain to them the reasons for this gathering.
I like their complicity. I like their dynamics. They help each other.
Team Taka is the one that Sasuke chose on his own, Team 7 is the one that was imposed on him. Don't forget that.
At least, I didn’t even use your post, but thank you again @justsasuke ! It was kind of you :)
Ps: I found this pic very cute. They are all awesome.

hi, i was wondering what you thought of this. before i go into it, i want to say that i’ve always been of the opinion that itachi loved sasuke very much, but after reading this, i feel abit confused. can it still be said that itachi loves sasuke?
“Kishi sucks at portrayal, and this is one reason why the Itachi "revelation" failed for me.
Canonically, Itachi loved Sasuke more. Why? Because we're told so.
But his actions make it impossible to suspend disbelief and accept what the narrative is saying.
We're talking about a man who killed his own family, and tortured his 8yo brother.
Then, gave false indoctrination to Sasuke making him obsess over revenge and getting stronger.
Finally, after fueling Sasuke's rage, if Sasuke ever became to out of control a genjutsu was set in motion to make Sasuke lose his free will, and protect the thing he hates.
Nothing Itachi did benefited Sasuke. It only benefited Konoha, and himself.
-Killing Sasuke's clan benefited Konoha. Not Sasuke.
-Physically abusing Sasuke did not benefit Sasuke.
-Mentally raping Sasuke with visions of a traumatic event did not benefit Sasuke
-Taunting Sasuke on his inability to prevent the massacre of his clan did not benefit Sasuke.
-Feeding Sasuke with self destructive ideologies did not benefit Sasuke.
-Dying at Sasuke's hands did not benefit Sasuke, it just eased the conscious of man who murdered his family.
-Planning to turn Sasuke into a Konoha puppet, just because Sasuke might not return to Konoha, and due to the extensive damage Itachi himself caused does not benefit Sasuke. It benefits Konoha.
Itachi's actions are far too selfish. Love isn't selfish.
Nothing he did had Sasuke's best interest in mind, only Konoha's.”
Sorry Anon but I’ve been on tumblr for a long time and I replied to similar asks a thousand times, so now I don’t have interest in refuting someone else’s post (aka the post of someone I probably blocked not wanting to see their stuff in the tags) also because all those entitled long words they wrote are a load of fake woke crap that reeks of real life ethics and I can't deal with ppl who can't understand that fiction is different from real life.
Itachi was a konoha shinobi, a child soldier who saw war at 4, it makes sense that he wanted peace (=no war) and to ensure this peace he did whatever, even horrible things. He loved his brother so much that he wanted him to stay alive because for a child who saw death the most important thing is life, not its quality. Only to stay alive. So when Danzo told him to either side with them and kill his own clan which would grant Sasuke to survive, or to side with his people and have all of them outnumbered and killed by his Anbu, which would mean Sasuke would be killed, he chose Sasuke’s life.
Is it hard to get? For some people apparently very much. Too bad that they don’t have to agree with Itachi’s thoughts and actions! just to aknowledge canon facts.
More about this here. Also here, here and here.
You might look in my Itachi tag for detailed explanations, analyses and everything Itachi related
#Anonymous#today is a bad day and I'm not in the mood#but I don't like to discuss itachi things in general because it's always the same stuff and I've been running this blog for too long lol#the tag is full of stuff written when I had more interest in discussing this#vivalarevolution#vivalarevolution: in his defense

More on the Hadrian and Orion in Narutoverse AU please!!!
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I don’t actually have that many more ideas for this AU, none that really focuses on the two of them anyway. Like, they found each other again and it was a done deal so there’s not really anything to add to that. But let’s see…
Edit: Ugh I give up, I ran out of inspiration for this one, I just didn’t know what else to write for it, sorry.
1. Ok so first off, Minato makes Hokage and stays that way and nothing terrible happens because I say so, and because I have no patience for the disaster that was the Naruto plotline, and also because lbr no way is Hadrian letting anybody muck shit up in his new home, he’s already lost one village, he isn’t going to let Orion lose his too, plus Danzo is dead which automatically solves like eighty percent of all problems and the world is just a hundred times better without him in it.
Kushina makes it Very Clear that their child will be placed under an Uzushio shinobi. Like, it’s part of their vows. She refuses to marry Minato unless he swears it (for a love match, it also couldn’t be more perfect politically, satisfying clans and elders alike by tying the two villages together, tying an Uzushio Jinchuuriki to Konoha, a union of talent and royalty, right before the Hokage Apparent ascends to the throne). Relations between Konoha and what’s left of Uzushio is a lot better than they were after Uzu was destroyed, but there’s still some tension, some mistrust, some resentment, and it’s not like anyone other than an Uzushio-nin can teach seals properly. It doesn’t help that some Konoha-nin still turn their noses up at Kushina and her people because they’re foreign, and others sneer at her because she’s a Jinchuuriki. She refuses to let someone like that teach her child.
Minato agrees of course, and ten years later, Naruto graduates near the top of his class, bright and cheerful and so very loved. He’s the son of the Hokage but also one of the first children born to the Uzumaki Clan after they’d finally finished picking up the pieces of their lives, and he has Minato’s colouring but Kushina’s determination and creativity and vindictive sense of humour.
In this world too, Naruto gets Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura as his teammates, but he’s known Sasuke since forever - his mom and Sasuke’s mom are best friends, one of his dad’s closest advisors is Sasuke’s dad, and his uncle (technically a cousin) is married to Sasuke’s uncle, so their families are a lot closer than most other clans in their villages. It was a shock to everyone, for the Uchihas of all people to have a close relationship with the Uzumakis, but their bond has stayed strong over the years despite many people’s doubts, and as a result, Naruto and Sasuke have been attached at the hip practically since birth.
As for Sakura, she seems like a nice girl too, a quieter counterpart to her best friend Ino, and they both know she’s upset at not being on the same team as the blonde, but she also beat both their academic scores and she doesn’t fall over herself trying to suck up to either Naruto or Sasuke, so they decide very quickly that they’ve lucked out with their third.
Naruto isn’t at all surprised when their sensei arrives. His mom’s been hinting at Uncle Hadrian for weeks because she is not subtle, and Naruto is absolutely thrilled because Uncle Hadrian is an S-rank Jounin with a flee-on-sight order and one of the strongest shinobi Naruto knows (Uncle Orion is almost as good, and he supposes his dad is okay too). He’s good at everything, better at seals than even Naruto’s mom, and his idea of babysitting is always an adventure - pranking someone mean and framing Kakashi-nii for it, setting up scavanger hunts in the village with a cool prize at the end, and taking him out for ice-cream or extra ramen that Naruto has solemnly sworn to keep secret from his parents. Hadrian is the best, and Naruto just wants to be him, him and Kaa-chan because Uzumaki really are the best, and his mom and uncle are the best of the best. And because he’s a good friend, he tells Sasuke beforehand about who’ll be teaching them and even tells Sakura the day of, so none of them are anything but excited when Hadrian sweeps into the classroom.
Uncle Hadrian just smiles at them, amused, and motions for them to follow. “Come along then, my new minions. Let’s see what chaos we can inflict on the world together.”
If Naruto had looked back, he would’ve seen the utterly horrified expression painted across the other Jounin senseis’ faces.
2. Team Seven gets a two-for-one deal. Orion outright rejects all offers of sticking him into the sensei rotation. The three times Minato tries, Orion fails every team and sends the kids back to the Academy within the hour.
It’s not as if he doesn’t like kids. They’re fine. But he doesn’t want to be solely responsible for them, especially in a world that’s literally out to kill them, and he’s no good with them for extended periods of time anyway.
He doesn’t mind helping Hadrian with his team though, and Fugaku definitely approves of having his brother help keep an eye on his youngest son. So the day after he returns from a courier mission, he tracks down Hadrian in one of the training fields and possibly enjoys it more than he should when he appears in a rush of Shunshin and makes all three kiddies jump or shriek.
Hadrian rolls his eyes at him but also reels him in for a welcome home kiss. “No complications?”
Orion snorts. “Of course not. It was barely B-rank.”
They turn back to the genin. Sasuke is rolling his eyes, more than used to their mostly subtle but easy displays of affection, and Naruto grins and gives Orion a wave because he’s as good as an uncle to the brat as well. The pink one though has her hands clapped over her mouth and is peering at them with big green eyes, like she’s never seen two men kiss. Then again, Orion’s already read the files on them, and she’s from a civilian family. They can be as weird as muggles about this sort of thing. Orion hadn’t cared in his last life, and he isn’t about to start now. At least she only looks surprised and not disgusted.
“This is Orion,” Hadrian tells his new students, for Sakura’s benefit. “My husband, and Sasuke’s uncle. He doesn’t have a team of his own, so when he isn’t busy, he’ll be joining us for training and missions. You’ll be seeing him a lot, and if for whatever reason I can’t meet up with you that day, I’ll probably send him in my place. Understand?”
He gets affirmatives from everyone and an “Awesome, dattebayo, we get two senseis!” from Naruto. Orion rolls his eyes and then smirks. “Twice the number of teachers, twice the amount of training.” He’s gratified when both boys pale a few shades, and Sakura - clever girl - takes her cue from them and has the beginnings of alarm creeping into her expression. He glances at Hadrian. “What’s on the menu for today?”
After they’ve sent Team Seven off for ten laps around the village (to start with of course, the day is still young), Hadrian remarks, “You’re a terrible person, and I never know what Minato is thinking every time he tries to shove a team on you.”
Orion’s smirk only widens.
3. Shortly after they get married, Hadrian and Orion move into a house in a quiet(er) part of Uzushio territory. They like their privacy, and they’re both quiet people by nature. Orion in particular only has so much tolerance for the Uzushio’s collective rambunctiousness and explosive personalities. They still get regular visitors, but at least they also get time to themselves without needing to escape into the surrounding woods.
A decade down the road, and they suddenly have three more children underfoot than either of them ever planned. then again, Naruto was around at least five times a week practically since he was born, and Sasuke had been allowed to drop by for almost as long, accompanied by his parents or Itachi.
Sakura is the last addition to their household, timidly shuffling in one evening when she’d let slip that her parents - merchants - were out of the village and wouldn’t be back for at least another three weeks.
Hadrian had always been a bit of a bleeding heart for strays, and this one is already his, so Orion hadn’t been at all surprised when - after treating everyone to dinner at Ichiraku’s - they ended up escorting all three kids back to Uzushio. Orion sends one of his wolf summons to the Uchiha compound to inform Fugaku that Sasuke would be staying over, and Naruto whirlwinds into the main house to hug his mom before sprinting back out and shouting back that he’d be staying with his uncles that night. Sakura smiles more as the night goes on and she finds herself ushered into a spare bedroom beside the boys’. She chatters more once she got to know her teammates better, and she’s more than a little awed by how much larger the house is on the inside compared to the outside.
“Seals can do all sorts of things, and my style is more versatile than most,” Hadrian tells her, and her eyes light up in a way Orion hadn’t seen in anyone but Hadrian himself.
“Can you teach me?” Sakura asks, flushing at her own gall. “Or- Or is it a clan secret?”
But Hadrian only smiles and promises to pull some reading material for her tomorrow.
“Orion knows some but he prefers kenjutsu,” Hadrian says, and Orion grunts. He likes offing his targets quickly and efficiently with sharp pointy things, so sue him. “Sasuke isn’t interested, and Naruto is but he has his mother to teach him. I’m glad I might have a student of my own if your interest lasts.”
Judging by the way Sakura begs Hadrian for a beginners’ book on sealing right then and there, and then spends the rest of the night - until Hadrian shoos them off to bed - curled up on the sofa in one of Naruto’s spare duck pajamas with her nose between its pages, she won’t be losing interest anytime soon.
Sakura becomes a regular fixture in their lives and in their house. Orion thinks she probably hasn’t realized it yet, but after a month of crashing at their place, the guards don’t even check her at the gates anymore whenever she swings by, even when she’s on her own.
4. Minato has the ANBU for the extra dangerous missions. But he has Hadrian and Orion for the ones that guarantee almost zero chances of survival. In the aftermath of the attempted kidnapping of one Hyuuga Hinata and the subsequent demand for reparations after Hiashi kills the kidnapper, who also happens to be the head ninja of the party sent to sign a peace treaty with Konoha, Minato refuses to hand one of his own over, A sends bolder and bolder threats of war, tensions between Konoha and Kumo haven’t been this high since the Third Great Shinobi War, and the eyes of the rest of the world are focused on them as they too count their numbers and stock up on weapons and supplies.
Three weeks in, after countless failed attempts at diplomatic talks and fairer compromises, Minato summons Hadrian and Orion to his office.
“I do not want war,” He says, features grim and somber, a far cry from his usual easygoing smiles and laidback nature. “It has barely been half a decade since the last one ended. But we are not in the wrong, and I refuse to bow to Kumo’s whims. If I cede ground now, the Hyuuga will never trust me again, and it will make Konoha look weak, not to mention it sets a precedence for Kumo and even other villages to try and pull something like this again. I won’t have it.”
Hadrian hums thoughtfully from where he’s sipping tea in one of the guest chairs. Orion is lounging against the far wall, eyes narrowed, features cold.
“So you want us to go and send a message,” Hadrian surmises. “But quietly.”
“Make sure A knows who it is,” Minato agrees, and nobody who’s seen the ice in his eyes when he’s like this would doubt his capability as Hokage. “But otherwise ensure that it can’t be traced back to us. I’ll deny everything on the public front. The rest, I’ll leave to your discretion.” He smiles thinly. “Let’s see how long it takes to make the Raikage bow.”
It takes six weeks. Six weeks of a plague that sweeps through half the towns along Lightning’s border at a terrifying speed, leaving civilians and border patrols alike puking their guts up for days. Nobody dies, but it’s a miserable, panic-stricken month for all involved when all they can do is ride it out, no cure to be found.
The Raikage does not bow.
Overnight, the guards stationed at various watchtowers all across Lightning fall prey to some invisible enemy, and all are found comatose or on death’s doorstep in the morning. Half of them die within the week, and all attempts at replacing the guards are met with the same result. A chunk of Kumo’s military is crippled in seven days.
The Raikage does not bow.
People within Kumogakure begin to die. No civilians or Genin, and the school and hospital are never hit, but Chuunin and Jounin are all free game, some in their homes, others on the streets or training grounds, and their T&I building blows up one day along with every ninja inside it who hadn’t gone out for lunch. The coup de grâce is the Raikage going in for work and finding a lock of Yugito’s blonde hair, his brother’s sunglasses, and his own vambraces - the ones he’d been looking for since he woke up this morning and found them missing from his bedroom - laid out neatly on his desk. A familiar leaf symbol glows on the wall behind it just long enough for A to get a good eyeful, and then it erases itself as if it were never there, leaving the Raikage bellowing his rage and fear.
The message is clear: no one in your village is safe, not your civilians, not your shinobi, not your Jinchuuriki, not even you. The next move is yours. Choose wisely.
The Raikage bows.
“Good job,” Minato says in way of greeting once Hadrian and Orion are home again, none the worse for wear. “A sends his apologies and has even agreed to a few import and trade concessions.”
“Ooh, make him send over some people from Cloud Confectioneries,” Hadrian pipes up. “Their cakes are divine, and you can’t get them anywhere else.”
Orion rolls his eyes, nods at Minato, and then grabs his husband and Shunshins them home. It’s been a long five weeks and he wants nothing more than to sink into a hot bath with Hadrian.
5. Literally everyone knows Hadrian and Orion are a couple. They’re not particularly over-the-top in their displays of love the way Minato and Kushina can sometimes be, but their marriage was the first one between a Konoha citizen and an Uzushio citizen since Uzushio’s destruction. And it was hard to miss when the two of them went out for meals, side by side, never flaunting what they had but quietly content in each other’s company in that way older people are after spending decades together and still being perfectly in love. Orion was a second son too, with no expectations (at least not too many) for producing children, so as far as a lot of clan elders were concerned, he’d definitely married well by tying another much-needed sealmaster to Konoha, one who actually stayed in the village (or close enough) and had a repertoire of skills that outstripped even Jiraiya’s.
(Orion scoffed when he’d first heard that going around and didn’t bother telling them that if Hadrian up and decided to become a missing-nin tomorrow, he’d be packed and gone with him by morning, no questions asked.)
Over time, some people do wonder - it isn’t normal for two people to fall together so easily, so quickly, comfortable around each other the way only those who’ve known one another their whole lives should be. There’s a level of instinct there that takes time and life to create, and yet Hadrian and Orion had that, from the moment they met. So people do wonder, even if they don’t ask, mostly because what kind of question would one ask anyway?
Still, sometimes, especially in the early days, Kushina sits and watches her cousin and his new husband move around the kitchen as they cook dinner like one soul in two bodies, gracefully in tune together in a way that goes beyond their shinobi training. it’s a dance, and a beautiful one, and she secretly hopes that one day, she’ll be able to have that with Minato.
(Almost twenty years later, Sakura will do the same, more at home in her senseis’ house than her parents’, watching Hadrian laugh at a deadpan joke Orion cracks, or watching Orion let Hadrian reel him onto the makeshift dance floor of their living room when Naruto brings home his latest record of whatever ridiculous tunes he’d found on a mission and insists on inflicting it on them. She’ll watch them and think of Ino and the way they’d been circling each other for months (years, really) and wonder if they might achieve something like this one day.)
Kushina will always remember their wedding vows - “-in this life and the next, and in every life we’ll ever share-” - and it wasn’t particularly profound or intimate, but there had been a weight in them that carried some hidden meaning known only to them, and it had struck a chord in her, especially when she sees them together and once again considers the niggling suspicion at the back of her mind that whispers reincarnation.
The next date she goes on, Minato comes to pick her up, another clumsy bouquet in hand like the ridiculous romantic he is, this time of salvia and mallow and lavender. She sighs and accepts them and doesn’t tell the moron that not all girls are automatically born knowing flower language or even pay much attention to the classes back in the Academy. But she’d bought a book on it after their first date, threatened Inoichi into silence because she knew exactly who Minato was taking flower advice from, and she doesn’t say a word about the album of pressed flowers she’d started ever since Minato started giving them to her.
Hadrian finds out, because of course he does (because Kushina had failed miserably at pressing flowers even with an instruction manual, and Hadrian was the only person she knew who could teach her and wouldn’t laugh at her first, especially when she confesses how she might’ve felt just a little bit guilty for not understanding what Minato was saying with the flowers every time). Hadrian hadn’t laughed, but he’d smiled and told her of the bouquets Orion had given him when they were still courting (that’s another tick in the reincarnation category because Kushina had never once seen either of them give flowers to each other), and how Hadrian had had no idea what they meant either when he’d first received them.
“And I think flowers can just be flowers sometimes,” Hadrian says as they work on Minato’s latest slightly ragged-looking roses. They look like he’d accidentally let an Inuzuka dog chew on the stems. “They smell nice and they look nice, and Minato took the time to get them for you, and you like them. Sometimes, I think that’s enough.”
And if Hadrian can say that and Orion still looks at him like he’s everything he needs in the world, then Kushina thinks he probably knows what he’s talking about. Hadrian usually does.
(Later, on their wedding anniversary, Kushina grins when she spots Hadrian exiting Yamanaka’s Flower Shop with a bouquet of his own, and she makes sure she has a good view of him presenting it to Orion at their favourite restaurant.
The way Orion’s expression goes soft and warm, wrapped in something like wonder - Kushina immortalizes it on camera and makes a mental note to give a copy to Hadrian later.)

SasuHina Month 2020- Day 4
Prompt – Coffee Preferences/The Smell of Coffee in the Morning
Long Distance- Part 2
Sasuke POV
I am chugging a glassful of water after my morning work-out when Naruto comes out of his room eyes closed and wearing only his boxers. Me and my roommates have very different ideas of ‘morning’. For me morning is 7-8 a.m. when I get up, drink my coffee and a protein shake and go to the gym for my 3 hours work out, for Naruto it’s around 10-11-12 depending on the day, he eats ramen for breakfast and his day starts only after 2 pm. Then there’s Gaara; I saw him this morning when I woke up, that’s when he got home and was going to bed so I’m not holding my breath for him to wake up before 5 pm or so.
I watch as my best friend wanders thought the kitchen, eyes still closed, and prepares himself instant ramen. If someone told me this was him sleep-waking making ramen I’d believe them. I fill another glass of water and drink that one too and leave Naruto to his own routine; I’m in need of a shower. Once showered I get dressed for work. It’s summertime so no classes or practice, even so the three of us decided to stay on campus instead of going home. Mom wasn’t happy with me when I told her I told her I’ll be spending my last summer before graduating University here. She twisted my arm until I promised to go visit them for 2 weeks around the end of August. Which happens to be next week. Since I don’t plan on working during the actual year because classes and hokey will take up all of my time, I gave my 2 weeks’ notice already. I picked a random job this summer, it doesn’t really have anything to do with my major but it’s still good money, I’m a mechanic in an auto-service. I declared my major in education only last semester; I plan on going pro with hokey but if anything were to happen, I realized that I wouldn’t mind being a coach.
I pick up my keys and wallet and make my way to the kitchen. Naruto is still eating and I’m still not sure he’s really awake. The drive to work is quite short which is one of the reasons I picked this job, that and the fact that since my 12th birthday each summer both Itachi and Dad have been throwing their car knowledge at me. I’m not particularly interested in it but it’s better than Naruto’s construction job, or his job in moving furniture, or any other odd jobs he picks up every week. I work from 12 to 8 or 9 at night it depends on how busy the shop is; thankfully it is quite deserted today so I get the ok from the owner to go home at 7:15. I make the short drive home and am about to walk inside when my phone starts ringing. I check the caller and press answer when I notice it’s my mom. I walk in and see Garra in the kitchen eating.
“Hey sweetie, how are you?”
“Hey mom, I just got home from work; how are you?” I say and go to sit down on the sofa in the living room.
“I still don’t get why you wanted to stay behind and work. Your tuition is paid by the scholarship and for everything else you want you know me and your dad will pay.” She says and I can hear the whining undertone in her voice. I am indeed working for the money; I don’t like asking for money from them; I can’t work during the year so I try to make as much as I can now that way, I can depend on myself for a while. I’ll only ask for money if I have to. Then there’s also the freedom; at home there’s always someone asking me where I’m going what I’m doing and so on. I’ve discovered I like my freedom very much during University. During the hokey season some of that freedom is taken by the coach but it’s still more than I’ve had home.
“I know mom. But I’ll be home for two weeks in a few days.”
“That’s what I wanted to talk to you about. I was talking to my friend Hikari, and she was complaining about how Hinata said she won’t be coming home at all. Neji and Hiashi are in America for the summer so they can’t drive over to see her. Hinata never learned how to drive and the road is way too long for her to take a train. Can you imagine baby?” Mom likes to give every piece of information; it doesn’t matter that I have no idea who any of these people are. I have never heard of her friend Hikari and her family “And she’s home all alone with Hanabi who is 16 and going thought her rebellion phase. My heart just breaks at that thought, sweetie; doesn’t yours?”
Mom actually makes a pause as if she’s actually expecting me to answer. “Yes, mom that sucks big time” Gaara walks into the living room and mouths ‘I’m off to work’ I nod and continue listening to mom.
“You know that Hinata doesn’t go to your University but the road from your house to hers is only about 2 hours so I told Hikari you’d swing by Hinata’s place to pick her up and you’d come home together. She was so excited baby. She’s on the phone just now talking to Hinata”
I’m stunned into silence. Mom literally tome me to make an additional 2 hours to pick up this girl and then another 2 hours to return from where she is; the only University that is quite close to us is the University of Arts and that’s 2 hours towards Suna and not Konoha. So instead of getting home in about 8 hours it would take me 12 hours. And let’s not forget I’d be stuck in the car with a stranger.
“I don’t know mom; that’s a little inconvenient and—”
“Sasuke Uchiha! What is more important your own convenience or reuniting a mother with her daughter? Plus, Hinata is cute as a button I’m sure the two of you will get along great”
I know better than to pick up a fight with my mom so I just agree; you could call me a pushover when it comes to her, I call it choosing my battles. “Fine. But I’ll need her number so I can talk to her directly and organize the trip I guess”
“Of course, baby. I’ll text you her number in a moment. Love you dear”
“I love you too” I really do but at times she can be very exhausting. Mom is so used to getting her way, both my dad and me and Itachi spoiled her for too long and now neither of us can say no to her, no matter how crazy her ideas are.
Hinata POV
I am stunned. Mom just called to tell me that she found a way for me to come home for two weeks. Apparently, the son of her friend Mikoto, friend she has never mentioned before in my life, goes to KU (Konoha University) and he will come pick me up and we’ll have a grand ol’ road trip.
Let me explain the two main issues here.
1. I didn’t want to go home. Hell, if I wanted to, I could have taken a train on the first day of summer holiday or looked for a bus to take me home; but I didn’t.
2. KU is 2 hours away towards Konoha, which means she inconvenienced this guy to drive 4 more hours than he should just to drag me, a complete stranger, home
The levels of guilt I’m feeling have no boundaries. I’m still thinking about how unreal this feels when my phone rings again, it’s an unknown number and under normal circumstances I would not answer but mom let me know that she gave the guy my number so we could talk about the trip home.
“Hello” I hate talking on the phone. I hate talking to stranger. I hate talking on the phone with stranger even more.
“Hey, is this Hinata?” his voice sounds defeated and exhausted too. I can only imagine the conversation his mom had with him.
I let a big sigh “Yes, it is. You my road trip partner?”
This makes him laugh a littler “Yes m’am. I’m Sasuke in case you mom, my mom’s best friend it would appear, didn’t let you know”
“I’m so sorry this got dumped on you. I feel so guilty especially since I could have found ways to go home…I just didn’t want to” I say and roll over so I’m on my back in my bed rather than on my belly. “Can’t you tell your mom the 4 extra hours are too much for you to drive?” “I tried and she pretty much tried to guilt trip me, saying that the, and I quote, ‘reunion of a mother with her daughter’ is more important than my selfishness” he sounds equal parts amused and annoyed. I don’t blame him.
“I too told my mom that I can’t possibly impose but she kept reassuring me how you found out about our situation from you mom and it was you who came up with the idea and that you would not take no for an answer. I knew it was bullshit from the get-go but mom has a way of getting whatever she wants” I confess.
“So does my mom. The more I mull over this the more I think our moms being friends is a bad idea.” The stranger aka Sasuke says followed by a lough sigh.
“You are right. Mom is bad enough on her own, I don’t even want to think what the two of them can do together”
“I wonder how they met. Did one of them put an ad in the paper. ‘Looking for a friend; guilt tripping of the universe, manipulation of everyone around, especially one’s children and the ability to get your way are the main characteristics I am looking for in a friend’”
That makes me laugh more than I want to admit. Silence falls for a few moments before Sasuke talks again.
“Anyway, regarding the drive, is it ok for you if I come pick you up at 9 in the morning or so; I want to get home at a somewhat decent hour” guilt washed over me again.
“That’s great, whatever works for you. I don’t want to inconvenience you even more. I am truly sorry Sasuke”
“It’s ok it isn’t your fault this was dropped on you just as it was on me. So I guess I’ll see you Sunday morning”
“Yes, I’ll text you my address right now so I don’t forget.”
“Ok thanks”
“Bye, see you Sunday” I say and hang up just as Ino opened the door to my room.
“Ooooo who will you be seeing on Sunday?” Ino asks and she winks and wiggles her eyebrows ate me.
“Oh, stop that, it’s a poor guy that my mom and his mom forced to swing by and drag me home for 2 weeks” I say.
“Oh no, you’re going home? Nooo, whyyy???” that is how I wanted to react too when mom told me but I couldn’t do that, no matter how meddlesome she is I never want to hurt her feelings.
“Mom insisted. And as I said she even secured me a way to go home and return” I still feel so guilty about troubling Sasuke so I make a note to cook breakfast for us or something nice like that.
Sasuke POV
Sunday morning, I arrive at Hinata’s a bit earlier than intended but I did text her when I left my home so I hope she’s ready to go. I walk to the door and knock. A girl that I assume is Hinata opens the door and to my horror she’s in her pjs. Her blonde hair is a mess and over all she does not look ready to hit the road.
“You must be Sasuke, come on in.” She says and I can’t even protest that we’re in a hurry and it’s better to just go because she’s not freaking dressed.
I walk into the small home and the smell of coffee hits me from every possible way. I’ve already had my first cup but I feel tired and the smell only makes me crave another cup.
“The kitchen is that way make yourself comfy” she says and walks to the stairs her own cup of coffee in hand. I hope to God she’s going to get dressed so we can leave as soon as possible.
I walk to where she pointed and find myself in the kitchen. On the island there is a plate filled with eggs and bacon, another with pancakes and a bowl of fruit salad. I have questions and look around confused, when a petite girl pops up from behind the island with two cups in her hand. I make a startled noise and she in turn screams. We look at each other for a few moments before she asks “Sasuke?”
I nod and she sighs in relief. “Oh, thank God I thought you were an intruder. I made breakfast so we can eat before leaving if you’re not in too much of a hurry”
She’s dressed and I see a suitcase next to one of the chairs. So, this girl is the real Hinata and she is almost ready to go, thank God. “Yea that’s cool.” I sit myself down.
“Do you want coffee?” she asks, I was hoping she would.
“Yes please. With just a bit of sugar and nothing else” I say
“Ah you’re that kind of person I see” She says and gives me my filled cup. I watch her add maybe 5 ml of coffee in the next cup fill that with milk a lot of sugar, cinnamon and even vanilla. She puts it in the microwave for a while and finally walks around to sit herself down too.
“Ah so you’re that kind of person” I say right back. Hinata drinks from her cup but her eyes are smiling at me. I wait for her to fill her plate first before doing the same. We eat in silence; I finish first so I take her suitcase and take it to the car. I return to the door just as she walks outside.
“INO I’M LEAVING” Hinata screams, I assume Ino is the blonde girl.
“OK BABE, CALL ME WHEN YOU GET THERE” a voice screams right back.
I chuckle and we get into the car. I notice Hinata holds two to-go cups in her hands. She notices me looking at them and shrugs. “I made both of us another cup of coffee for the road” her declaration makes me thank the Lords.
“Good idea. It’s going to be a long road”

[ 365 Days of SasuHina || Day Two Hundred Thirteen: Rake ] [ Uchiha Sasuke, Hyūga Hinata, Uzumaki Naruto, Hatake Kakashi ] [ SasuHina ] [ Verse: A Light Amongst Shadows ] [ AO3 Link ]
He’s getting awfully tired of all these stupid D-ranks. Kakashi keeps giving excuses about ‘building up experience’ and ‘learning how the mission system works’. But to Sasuke, at least, it’s obvious: they’re genin. New ones. Of course they’re going to get stuck with all the lousy missions. Maybe it’s just something he’s supposed to accept, but Sasuke isn’t your typical genin. He doesn’t have a career in mind, or a rank he wants to reach. There’s only one thing that occupies his thoughts from the moment he wakes up until the finally concedes to sleep every night.
Avenging his clan.
And while this pace might be what your usual genin is meant to go through...for him, it’s nothing but torture. He should be training every spare moment, sparring with powerful people to help improve his technique and power! If he’s ever going to kill Itachi - if he’s ever going to reach the same level as the one who killed the entire Uchiha clan - then he must...must pour everything he has into improving his mind, his body, his arsenal of skills and jutsu.
Catching cats, doing yard work, and running errands is not accomplishing any of that. And it grinds his patience down to the quick.
“All right you three, any guesses what we’ll be doing today?”
Three little genin look up as Kakashi finally arrives. Naruto, as always, blows up into a rant over the Hatake’s tardiness. Hinata, looking a bit pensive as she fiddles nervous fingers, just...remains silent beside Sasuke. He, in turn, simply stares with a deadpan expression. True, Kakashi constantly being late pisses him off, too...but he also knows there’s nothing they can do to change it. They’re stuck with him just as much as he’s stuck with them.
And like they’re stuck with these stupid missions.
Ignoring Naruto’s jumps to try to grab their mission paperwork, Kakashi holds it aloft and offers, “With Autumn now in full swing, we’ve got several requests from a more leafy part of the village to do some raking! We’ll be taking what we pick up to the compost piles so nothing goes to waste.”
“...we’re gonna rake leaves?” Sasuke asks, perking a brow.
“Precisely.”
“And this is a shinobi’s work...why?”
“Well, I don’t know if a few rookie genin are exactly shinobi yet, but you’ll get there! Until then...it’s bottom of the barrel missions. Surely you get that by now,” Kakashi muses.
“But how do we stop having bad missions? When do we actually get to prove we have what it takes to do something...better?”
“When I decide you’re ready! And right now...I’d say you’re still leaf-raking level.”
At the insult, Sasuke bristles, but pauses as Hinata steps up.
“Maybe, um...maybe you’d have a better idea of our...o-of our skills if we would train more with you? Missions are important, of course...but we haven’t had all that much time to work on, um...shinobi drills a-and scenarios. Besides our first exercise...we haven’t had a chance to really work on our t-teamwork. And...and that’s important before we take any larger-scale missions...right?”
Kakashi perks a brow. “Well...you have a point.” He rubs his chin thoughtfully. “...all right. Tomorrow, we’ll have a more...proper training exercise. But for today, we have our assignment. You can conquer the leaves, and think about how fun training will be tomorrow!”
Scowling at their sensei’s dismissive tone, Sasuke nonetheless loses his edge. Hinata makes a good point. Even if Sasuke has pretty good rudimentary skills...that won’t hold up in a mission if the rest of his team is lagging behind, and they aren’t in-tune with each other to better coordinate. Kakashi’s been too busy running them ragged on pointless chores to actually train them much, lately.
...good on her for getting that ball rolling.
The team makes its way to the residential district. Yards with trees of all kinds are speckled with leaves of yellow, orange, and red. In a way, it’s...sort of pretty. It almost reminds him of -
“All right, our assignment is this neighborhood here,” Kakashi cuts in, gesturing. “They all pooled together to ask for our help, so we’ll be doing all of their yards.”
“All of them?!” Naruto hollers. “Are you serious?!”
“Exceedingly serious. We have to have them all done by the end of the day, so...hop to it!”
“What about you?” Sasuke asks. “You’re part of the team, right?”
“I’ll be supervising,” is the rebuke, the Uchiha’s scowl clearly ignored.
Meeting with the organizer of their mission, the team is given rakes and bags to collect the leaves in. Glancing around, they seem to weigh their options.
“So...how should we, um...do this?” Hinata asks. “Should we...each take a yard by ourselves, or...maybe all work together one at a time?”
“I guess it’ll be about the same pace no matter what we do,” Sasuke mutters flatly. “For now, let’s try each taking one. If someone lags behind, we’ll group back up.”
“Man, this sucks,” Naruto gripes. “If only one of us knew some fūton, right? We could just, like...scoop all the leaves up at once, into a big pile!”
“We’d still need to put them in bags, dobe.”
“Well yeah, but! It would still be less raking, right? Right?”
“True,” Hinata offers, smiling shyly and humoring him. “It would be n-nice. But I don’t, um...I don’t have any affiliation with wind style, sadly…”
“Neither do I - look, let’s just...get started, all right? The sooner we do, the sooner we get done.”
With that decided, the trio break up, all moving to one side of the street and tending to a yard each. Bringing the leaves into a neat pile, Sasuke glances to it thoughtfully. Part of him has the urge to just...use a little katon and burn them. No need for a bag then, right? But then, well...he doesn’t really have a way to put the fire out, or make sure it doesn’t spread beyond where he wants it. And he doubts the people living here want to look out their window and see something on fire. So, instead, he gathers them up into some bags, leaving them near the sidewalk and looking to the rest.
Hinata is nearly finished with hers, but...Naruto is having a little trouble.
“Hey, knock it off ya little brats! I’ve got a job to do!”
Perking a brow, Sasuke watches as a few Academy-age kids run around the lawn Naruto’s raking. Every time he gets anything piled up, they jump into it with squeals of merriment, and...the whole mound explodes back along the grass.
For a moment, he just...watches as a memory stirs. He used to do something similar when his mother would rake the yard every Autumn. She’d allow it for a time, but then insist he help her finish as repayment. He used to have so much fun watching the bright colors swirl and fly. And sometimes, Itachi would -
Flinching, he bows his head into a hand. No...that was a long time ago, now. Memories like those are traitorous. Anything tainted with his brother...he can’t…!
“Sasuke-kun?”
Looking up, he sees Hinata step up beside him, expression tinged with worry. Her own bags sit nearby. “Are...are you all right?”
“...fine. Just...a bit of a headache.” He nods to Naruto. “Think we should lend him a hand?
“I...think that might be best. He’s not going to get anywhere with those k-kids in the way,” she agrees sheepishly.
Crossing to the yard in question, Hinata works on distracting the little ones as Naruto and Sasuke rake as quickly as they can. By some miracle, they get the job done, the kids making sounds of disappointment.
“Sorry guys...b-but this is our job, ne? There will be more leaves for you to jump in next year!”
Thankfully, no other households have any children at home, and they manage to finish the entire street by late afternoon. Kakashi, lounging in one of the trees guilty for the mess, glances down as Naruto announces they’ve finished. “Well well, would you look at that? Now all we have to do is cart out the bags, and you’ll be done for the day!”
Naruto, stubborn as ever, takes as many as he can carry...and then some, tossing several atop his bent back. Sasuke just sighs, Hinata giggling as the blond struggles not to drop any.
“If you lose one and it spills, you’re picking it up by yourself,” the Uchiha warns.
“Yeah, yeah!”
Once all is said and done, Kakashi dismisses them for the day, vanishing in a cloud of vapor. Complaining of an empty stomach, Naruto announces his plans to go to Ichiraku’s. “You guys wanna come?”
“S...sure!” Hinata agrees. “Sasuke-kun?”
“Yeah...guess I might as well.”
Naruto marching out at the front, the dark-haired pair follow behind at an easy pace. “Well...that wasn’t so bad,” Hinata muses.
“I guess not...still not really necessary for a shinobi to handle.”
“True…”
“At least you got us some proper training scheduled for tomorrow. Good job on that.”
Hinata’s head ducks shyly, going a bit pink at the praise. “I...I know everyone’s been frustrated, so...I thought - I-I thought some training might be a good break. From the missions, I mean.”
“At least that should take some skill...well, for the few hours Kakashi actually shows up,” Sasuke scowls.
“Well...better than nothing, right?”
“...right.”
.oOo.
More team seven!Hinata, woo! I dunno if I'll really make this much of a thing, but...it IS a concept I'd like to explore a bit. And it's a nice way to have them interact as genin, since...well, they don't do that much in canon. But uh...yeah, not much else to say! It's late, as always...so I'ma go crash. Thanks for reading!

I want to write a thing about Sasuke’s development throughout Naruto- and where Kishimoto failed his character. (I have been asked about my opinions on Sasusaku, but before I can remotely get to that, I need to establish what I think of Sasuke as a character by himself. He is a very interesting character, and he deserves his own rant.)
There are two important points in Sasuke’s life, and both of these points establish the main theme Kishi wanted Sasuke’s character to feature.
The first point is when Sasuke leaves to train under Orochimaru, and the second is when he is approached, and changed by Madara/Obito.
Point 1: Taking the Path of an Avenger. (Main Theme)
In Naruto:
Sasuke’s main theme throughout the series is slowly succumbing to the darkness for power.
He leaves his village and friends behind. Does this mean he doesn’t care about them? Of course not. He cares. But the point is that he chooses his revenge over his potentially fulfilling life with his friends. He would have been much happier if he could have just let his revenge go (and he knows this), but he didn’t. This is the point Kishimoto wants to drive home about Sasuke throughout Shippuden. Sasuke chose revenge over love (and forgiveness).
And who can blame Sasuke? His brother, after murdering their entire clan, DARED Sasuke to kill him. Sasuke, as a 7 year old, was faced with a responsibility to take care of family business, something no child should have to wrestle with. But it happened. And growing up, he feels it is his job to kill his brother. He listened to Itachi, was molded by Itachi. A traumatic external force in his life effected him greatly. Killing Itachi is now his DUTY.
The problem is that Sasuke is now only 13, and still developing mentally and emotionally, so he isn’t necessarily going to make the best decision about fulfilling this duty.
He knowingly goes to a terrorist S-rank criminal who wants to use him as a vessel, instead of staying at the village with Kakashi, whose power almost rivals said criminal.
Sasuke doesn’t know really anything about his own village, obviously.
He doesn’t know anything about Kakashi or his abilities. How strong and famous this man really is for being a ruthless killing machine by the age of 13, like Itachi!
Kakashi would have been a great person to learn from. That’s why Kakashi wanted to teach him.
But Sasuke assumes that because Kakashi is a “good guy”, he is weaker than Orochimaru. And this is his mistake.
Because his brother is “evil,” and very powerful, that must mean that evil people are better ninja, right?
Sasuke acts on what he does not know. And he does this all the time!
Ok so he’s 13 and kind of lacks basic foresight and judgement. So he goes to Orochimaru. And we skip forward 2 and 1/2 years.
In Naruto Shippuden:
Sasuke is much stronger.
He has held onto his core beliefs. (he refuses to kill innocent people for personal gain.)
Sasuke at this point is super cool, cause he’s edgy, but not a terrible person. Everyone loves Sasuke at this point. He’s got a cool top that shows off those pecs he’s been working so hard on. And he gives less of a crap than ever before.
He is mysterious, because the author purposefully doesn’t let the audience see his thought process or emotions. But we know enough.
But then what happens? He kills Itachi, as he planned all along. What he doesn’t count on is that Itachi isn’t the evil entity he had pictured in his little kid brain. And someone brings this to his attention. Makes sure he knows.
And this brings us to the second point.
Point 2: Manipulation from External Forces (Extension of Main Theme)
Before we get back to the Naruto timeline, let’s go over what makes Sasuke fall for this external manipulation:
"Sasuke is basically a very pure person who doesn't think about whether what he does is good or bad. He just does what he wants to do, which causes trouble for others" - Masashi Kishimoto
Itachi describes Sasuke this way:
And I love this, because it does describe him perfectly. I think this statement stuck out to many readers.
What Itachi means is that Sasuke:
lacks the ability to look ahead and judge things clearly.
He is easily influenced- gullible, even.
And even though he managed to cling to some moral standard up until Itachi’s death- not killing innocent people- everything else is easily replaced on a whim.
By focusing solely on killing Itachi, Sasuke left himself wide open to attack. Not physical attack. Something even more dangerous: emotional manipulation. He neglected every aspect of himself other than the physical- and the desire for revenge. What I’m saying is that Sasuke is extremely emotionally stunted. And people recognize this, and use this to their advantage. Anyone can come up to him and plead to his cause, and he will fall for it, against any better judgement he may have. If he were a character in a video game, he essentially maxed out his stats in one area, and left every other area under-developed and weak.
His ideals always outweigh his reality.
So, how does this aspect of his character get him in trouble? Well, let’s discuss a very big shift in Sasuke’s character.
Madara’s influence:
Back to the Naruto timeline:
The truth about Itachi totally shakes Sasuke’s world. And “Madara” is totally loving this. He’s going to use this to his advantage.
So. Sasuke feels that he has a new duty. He must now somehow avenge his brother. And this means he should kill the Kage- wait, what?
Oh right. Madara is talking into his ear.
“Itachi literally lived and died for this, so obviously he wouldn’t want what I’m suggesting, but you should totally do the dirty work for me and destroy everything Itachi believed in. That way, you can avenge him. I’m totally like, empathizing with you right now. I’m definitely not just saying this to get you to do what benefits me.”
Ok, so of course, Sasuke blindly listens.
And this is the second part to the main theme that Kishimoto explores with Sasuke’s character. What happens when a person, devoid of anything in the world besides revenge, falls into a false sense of justice? What happens after that quest for vengeance is fulfilled?
And at this point in the show, we see a new Sasuke. This Sasuke is very different from before. Why?
Sasuke is throwing his past moral compass out the window.
He’s going to kill people he doesn’t even know are guilty of anything. (Danzo definitely saw it coming, but Tsunade? What has she done to Sasuke? She is a great Hokage! She has nothing to do with Itachi. Neither does Gaara, or the rest of the current Kage.)
But Sasuke doesn’t care about this! Madara convinced him that they are evil, because of their position.
The Kage are automatically evil, because they represent authority. And it’s important to recognize that Sasuke doesn’t care about past authority or current authority- it is not his authority, so therefore, it is bad. It needs to be purged.
Sasuke is putting his problems on unrelated people.
And this is when Sasuke really falls into some dark stuff. He is actually becoming more of a villain.
The Final War:
By the time we see him in the war, he is ranting about “revolution.”
Sasuke is very deluded. And it’s due to outside influence. He is young and brash, and his world is very small. So so very small. All he knew up until this point was revenge and his brother. He doesn’t know how to live a normal life, or how to let things go. It’s like he was asleep until this point, and he finally realized that there’s a bigger world out there, and he needs to do something about it!
Sasuke is rather pitiful. But very zealous and dangerous. And I think people in the fandom downplay this too much. People want to like Sasuke- resonate with him. Up until recently, everyone is nodding their heads like “we feel you Sasuke, this sucks.” But people need to recognize when pity needs to stop.
Sasuke’s best trait is hyper-focusing on his goal. And this is also the most dangerous thing about him. He is easy to manipulate, as I have established earlier. And he is on the far end of fanaticism. He isn’t thinking about individuals anymore. He is only thinking about the collective... kind of like... the Akatsuki?
After all, didn’t the Akatsuki want to create world peace by killing a bunch of innocent people and enforcing lack of conflict through silence?
And we all agree that the Akatsuki are totally missing the mark, correct?
After all, is it really for the greater good? Sacrificing innocent people for one’s own idea of peace? Kind of narcissistic to assume one knows best.
Sasuke is talking about doing WHATEVER IT TAKES to “change the world” to make it “better”. Whatever his version of “better” is. And this is totally wrong! How is becoming what you hate most supposed to prove that your version of peace is correct?
Sasuke is getting high on “justice.” And by justice, I mean elevating himself into the god plane. He thinks he is better than everyone else- his opinion is the only one that matters. After all, these pathetic people can’t possibly think for themselves. He must force them to see the truth!
And he thinks this because his world is so small, and “Madara”, implanted an idea onto his “blank canvas.”
This is literally what’s going through Sasuke’s mind during the final arc of the show. It is extreme, and exactly the opposite of what Naruto, our protagonist, believes. So obviously there is going to be a clash.
This is where I think the author screwed Sasuke over.
Ditching the Main Theme of Sasuke’s Character:
Sasuke up until this point only knows a few things: His first reason for existing was based on a lie, and he now thinks he is fighting for the truth- that Itachi died for nothing good, and it is up to him to change the world.
Naruto fights Sasuke, and when Sasuke realizes he can’t beat Naruto in a PHYSICAL FIGHT, he suddenly changes his drastic opinions on everything he believes in. He says “Sorry, I was crazy, let’s start over.” And that’s it. End credits start to roll.
Kishimoto took Sasuke’s character on a very long journey. And it was all leading up to this peak- the point where Sasuke literally bursts. Sasuke resembles a very specific type of person- a particular path one can take in life. It is about a boy who chose the life of vengeance over happiness and positive personal growth. And the consequences of that decision.
During the entire show, I am expecting something drastic to happen to Sasuke. He is a drastic character. He is a flawed character- a beautiful example of what revenge can do to a good person. As an author, it is important to make this character’s fate what it is being set up for- tragedy.
So there were two (good) writing options here:
Sasuke either needed to die, because his mind could not be changed and he was a danger to innocent people, or, he needed to be redeemed over a decent period of time.
By the time Sasuke enters the war, he is far gone. Is it possible to change his mind again? Sure. He is still young and bendable. But it wouldn’t take two seconds.
Madara didn’t change Sasuke’s mind- he filled blank space. Implanted an idea. He put something on a blank canvas.
Naruto, however, has to undo all of this brain washing. He has to change his mind.
There is a difference here.
Covering a blank canvas with color is easy. But covering those old colors with new ones is hard, and takes time.
As in, Kishi really needed to rethink his timeline for his manga.
The best thing he could have done, since he obviously wanted Sasuke to be redeemed, was to make Naruto fight Sasuke BEFORE the war.
Here’s an alternate timeline:
Naruto finally catches up with Sasuke before the war, and they fight it out. Sasuke loses, but only by a bit. And Naruto actually talks to him. Not the usual “this is my Dream”, but listening to Sasuke and discussing his experiences, and countering his opinion in a personal manner.
Naruto thinks he can’t change Sasuke’s mind, and he worries that if he doesn’t kill Sasuke, something bad will happen to those he cares about in the future. And Kishi puts a lot of time and emphasis on this encounter. This exchange of opinions. This is the cornerstone of their relationship up until this point.
But Naruto decides not to kill Sasuke, explaining the concept of unconditional love to him. And he leaves him.
And Sasuke spends time thinking on this.
And then the final battle begins, and Sasuke drops in, deciding on helping Naruto after all. Thus concluding the Naruto/Sasuke conflict.
This order of events would have been much better. Naruto and Sasuke fighting after the war seemed unnecessary, and it just didn’t flow. It made Sasuke look extremely fickle, when he is actually very stubborn.
Based on this sequence of events, why would Sasuke help Naruto defeat Obito? When Obito was literally trying to change the world “for the better,” just like Sasuke was. Maybe Sasuke didn’t agree on the method. Sasuke would rather kill everyone and start over with him as supreme leader. (Which is... worse than what Obito had in mind? Obito wanted everyone to live in a peaceful dreamworld, where everything was good.)
So, I guess my point is that Kishimoto had a path for Sasuke, and a few points to make about his choices. But he then ditched the consequences of those choices. Ignored the theme he created from the very beginning. In the canon timeline, we as an audience didn’t really learn any lessons from Sasuke’s journey. Sasuke’s part in the story kind of fizzled out. It didn’t have the zing I was hoping for.
Sasuke deserved more attention. More focus on the climax of his personal journey. And more time for the falling action after this climax.
For me to want to see him back at Kohona, I wanted more of his thought-process and journey. It would take time for a person as damaged as Sasuke to fit back into the social confines of his old village.
I would love additional thoughts on this! :)
