Fuck it, long post time.

Dsmp is so AAGGHH. I love it so much, its introduced me to some of the people I care about most and it has made me feel ways no other fandom has made me feel. I love the plotholes. I love the lack of consistency. I love how everyone has a different view on how the story played out. I love how if you asked someone what happened during a certain era their answer will be different from the next. I love the art. I love the animatics. I love the characters. I love the fanfiction. I love the story. I love the aus. I love how homemade it feels. I love how it feels like people wanted to make a cool thing so they made a cool thing. I love how the fandom took small bits of the ccs personality, added it to their character and ran with it. I love how each character had totally different motivations from any other character. I love how some things didnt make sense. I love how somethings never got answered. I love the ending. I love how somethings didnt end. I love unserious it was at times. I love how serious it was at times. I love the fans. I love the theories. I love the edits. I love the gacha reaction videos (ifykyk). I love Henry. I love c!tommy. I love exile arc. I love c!niki. Its the only show where Ive actually cared about a character. Its how I found my love of watching twitch streamers. It got me back into playing minecraft. It got me into writing. It makes me want to improve on my art. DSMP is my comfort fandom, my main fandom, everything and anything all at once. I love watching compilations of the characters. I love all the cosplays. I love how ive gotten into so many hobbies because of it. I owe my personality to C!tommy and cc!tommy and dsmp as a whole. I owe my internet presence to dsmp. It has such a special place in my heart. I love c!tommy. I love how he cares for animals. I love how hes mean and aggrressive and rude. I love how hes hurt adn traumatised and healing. I love the relationships between the characters. I love how c!tommy cares and he doesnt. I love how the discs mean so much to him. I love how his decisions are drived by emotions. I love him having so many attachments. I love how other people will think my view of him is wrong/different to theirs. I love how dsmp allowed me to experiment with who I am (personality wise). I love how dsmp entered me to a part of the internet I would never have seen before. I love how I feel nostalgic looking at the fanart or fansongs. I love. It all. I know this was really rambl-y but ive just been thinking about it and I have so many feelings. My concluding statement is: DSMP has shpaed me into who I am and no one can take it away from me. It will always have a special place in my heart.

Day 6 | Betrayal (Ignorance Is Bliss)

Summary: Phil teaches Wilbur an important lesson in patience. And in white lies.

First of all, fuck Wilbur Soot. Second of all, enjoy some Philza Minecraft content.

"Dad?"

"Yeah, Wil?"

“Will I ever grow wings like you?” 

The Angel of Death spares a loving glance toward his son, attention turning away from the soup he’d previously been attempting to create. The mentioned soot grey feathers fluff in fondness over the child’s doe-like eyes, gaze wide as though Phil had gifted him a puppy. 

It prompts Phil to ruffle the curly brown locks of hair that sit atop his son’s head, an amused smile lining both of their faces. “Of course, Wil. One day, after you’re all grown up and adventuring through the world, the gods will gift you a pair of wings.” 

He sends a wink down to the young child. “I’ve already set you up with a good track-record.” 

The cheerful giggle that tumbles from Wilbur’s lips is enough to melt the avian’s heart, Phil more than happy to spoil his son with sweet words and promises of luxury. The ball of sunlight ensured that there was never a dull moment, Wilbur’s smile capable of igniting a protective flame within the hearts of those he met. The eight-year-old's innocence is a gift that deserves to be preserved and cherished. 

This is his son. 

His pride and joy. 

His little sparrow... 

“Alright, mate,” Phil begins, noting how his son had continued to lurk around the kitchen. “I know that isn’t why you came over here, what do you want?” 

Wilbur appears to fake a hurt expression, his eyebrows furrowing and mouth agape to display his ‘offense’. It isn’t until the boy’s frown is enforced with emotion that he reveals whatever he’s upset about. “The soup’s taking too long,” he grumbles, hands clutched dramatically at his stomach. “I’m starving!” 

Gods has Phil raised an impatient child. 

The sigh that slips free from Phil’s lips holds not an ounce of disappointment, only an exhausted amusement that children have zero concept of cooking. 

Wilbur is definitely going to put up a fight even if Phil insists that he’ll have to wait. 

“It’s done,” he declares with a feigned look of defeat. 

The soup- even to an untrained eye –is very clearly unfinished. 

But Wilbur doesn't appear to mind, the atmosphere gifted with a joyous squeal over dinners ‘official’ readiness. “Gimme, gimme!” 

With a roll of the eyes, Philza lifts his hand to grasp at a bowl and its spoon, swiftly making a minuscule portion for his son. They’ve done this little dramatic display at least once in the past few months, so it’s common knowledge that Wilbur will only take a few bites before realizing his mistake of rushing food. 

Ever the naïve child, the fluff of brown hair eagerly reaches for the food, a frown conquering his expression when the bowl is moved out of his reach. 

“It’s gonna taste like shit,” Phil warns carefully, “Just like all the other times. Do you still want it?” 

Who is he kidding? Of course Wilbur’s still going to want it. 

The excited nod the Angel of Death receives only solidifies such a claim. 

“If you insist.” 

Philza watches with a faked expression of boredom as his son takes the bowl and spoon, practically launching a piece of rabbit and potato into his mouth. He additionally pretends not to notice how Wilbur’s nose scrunches up in distaste, Phil surprisingly able to stifle his laughter. 

“So how is it?” 

“Good.” 

His son’s pride will be the death of him. 

But there’s a way this exchange goes and Phil can’t get out of it, no matter how hard he tries. Wilbur isn’t one to admit defeat and accept that he was wrong. 

The Angel of Death lets out a sad warble, shoulders slumping. “I don’t know, mate, it isn’t my best work.” 

“I think you should let it cook for another thirty minutes...” 

Despite his fake admittance of the stew not being an image of perfection, Phil still gasps in offense. His soot grey wings even flare to solidify the idea that he’s upset within the younger’s mind. “I thought you said it tasted fine!” 

“It does!” Wilbur exclaims defensively, arms outstretching to make himself look bigger and hopefully combat his father’s wing-size. “I just think it could use some more time by the fire!” 

“Mm-hmm,” suspicion leaks into the avian’s tone, hints of thoughtfulness tracing the hum. “I suppose you’re right; the rabbit does look a little pink.” 

“RABBIT?!” 

Laughter swirls around the kitchen’s air over Wilbur’s shocked expression, the eight-year-old clearly disgusted that he’d taken a bite of rabbit. The variety of stew is actually an extremely normal meal in Wilbur’s life, but the kid had recently grown fond of such fluffy creatures. 

He’d even spent a few hours in their pen of bunnies, just petting at their soft coats the other day. 

“You hurt a bunny?"

Oh, Wil’s upset about it. 

Phil kneels to his son’s level before scooping him into his grasp. His grey wings instantly bundle the two together once Wilbur begins to kick in frustration, Philza carefully maneuvering the bowl of raw soup onto the ground. 

Wilbur’s arms are still crossed with a frown and furrowed eyebrows, brown gaze refusing to meet his father’s pair of sapphire. 

“Aw, mate. You know I’d never hurt them,” the avian gently reassures, hugging his son tightly to his chest. 

“But you’re cooking one!” 

“I’m cooking a bad bunny,” Phil corrects with a comically wide smile. It almost hurts to keep up such an exaggerated expression, but Wilbur will surely remain mad if there isn’t faux happiness surrounding him. “I would never hurt a good bunny.” 

“But they’re too cute to be bad,” Wilbur complains, clearly unconvinced. 

Phil quiets for a second, unsure quite how to twist his excuse into a child’s perspective. “Well...I saw him stealing carrots from another bunny.” 

The excuse evokes a shocked gasp from Wilbur. “From a little bunny?” 

“From a little bunny,” the older confirms. 

“That’s mean!” Wilbur growls, shuffling so he could press his head into his father’s shoulder. “That’s not allowed either!” 

“It isn’t,” Phil agrees, running a few fingers through the messy fluff of his son’s hair. It seems like everyday Wilbur grows more and more into the image of his mother. “That’s why he volunteered to hop his way into the kitchen.” 

The Angel of Death uses his fingers to replicate the rabbit’s hypothetical movement, fingers jumping around before landing on Wilbur’s nose with a soft ‘boop’. 

The eight-year-old's nose scrunches as he laughs, the rabbit’s true fate having been long been forgiven by now.

If he had to admit, Phil had merely plucked the plumpest rabbit of the pen to butcher for tonight's stew. Though he didn't doubt it'd stolen food from the others before- rabbits were pretty damn ruthless when they wanted to be.

But what Wilbur didn't know wouldn't hurt him.

But the fact that Dream’s first reaction when he learned about Caiti accusing George of SA her was to directly think that it was Aimsey master plan feels slightly sexist/hypocrite to me.

Dream made a long ass post telling Wilbur to fuck off for what he’s done to Shubble etc.

But when a girl accuses your best friend of grooming her, ur first reaction is directly « it’s fake, it’s a plan to make us seen bad ». Are u fucking kidding me? Your first reaction was to think she was lying, A RECURRENT THING ASSHOLES SAY TO WOMEN. How can u say that u care for women after this? Being a true ally to women is to detach yourself from known/alleged abuser INCLUDING YOUR BEST FRIEND.

And detaching yourself from abuser is something Tommy did without hesitation (you know the guy that Dream called without a backbone)

Hello. I'm sure you've noticed that I haven't been active in quite some time. Or, well, if you haven't, now you have. Sorry that I am only now returning and only to tell you that I will be “leaving” permanently.

I'm only here now to address something. Yes, it's regarding the situation with Wilbur Soot. I don't want to go into too much detail about it. If you know, you know. If you don't, sorry you had to find out this way. All I can say is, I'm no longer comfortable when it comes to things relating to him.

I wanted to come back to this blog, even coming up with an idea to write a fic for my return. I've really missed talking to my friends and my mutuals, you're all amazing and wonderful. But I've found that I don't really want to go back here, at least not in this blog. And now, with the terrible news about Wilbur, I'm starting to lean even more to the idea of not coming back here.

I've read and seen the things people are saying about him with my mutuals and people I followed. People are slowly leaving or taking a break from their blogs. It hurts seeing my friends get attacked for it and it hurts even more knowing that they're having a terrible time over this. This is meant to be a safe space.

And before you say anything or start attacking me in asks, in no way am I saying that the things people said about Wilbur are true. We do not know the identity of the person Shelby was talking about and we can't be sure until she's confirmed it herself, which she has every right not to if she could. Even so, I still want to be safe.

Wilbur had been a huge inspiration for me. He brought me comfort and joy, if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have made so many friends that I could share an interest with. But with everything that's been going on, whether it is true or not, I do not feel comfortable being associated with him anymore and this blog was created based on him, which makes me feel uncomfortable going back to.

I haven't been here for a long time so I can't say I've seen everything. But I just wanted to quickly say this before things take a worse turn. Plus, I've slowly grown out of my interest for Wilbur Soot (if you haven't already noticed by the huge lack of content last year).

So, I've decided. I'm going to start over. I've made a new blog that I've been running for a while (well, there's not really anything there yet) and I've been thinking of moving there permanently. Yes, it is the blog I was talking about in my introduction. Though, it's not just going to be a writing blog now, it's going to be filled with a bunch of other stuff.

The new blog is completely different. You will see a new side of me you haven't before. More fandoms, more content, more media and franchises. And less of MCYT. For the sake of myself and everyone's comfort, I won't be sharing my blog with you all right now. I'm only going to share them with SOME of my friends and mutuals. Maybe if I'm a little more comfortable with opening it up to all of you one day, I'll come back to announce it. Or maybe you'll end up finding it on your own. Who knows. Either way, if you ever find my new blog, please don't mention anything from this one. I would like to keep them totally separate.

I won't be deleting anything from here. I'm keeping it as an archive. I won't do anything to this blog other than state that I will no longer use it. Maybe I'll come back here one day just to completely change everything, but that is not a plan of mine right now.

If you specifically want to keep in touch, let me know! (I don't mind if you still create content with Wilbur, that's not a big deal for me) My DMs are open right now but they won't be for long. Keep in mind, I might not accept everyone (especially if you are a minor, I will decide very carefully about this). While my blog will still be SFW for the most of it, I can't promise that it will always stay that way in the future. Please practice viewer's discretion. I also have a Discord! This is only open for my friends and mutuals (sorry!!), but I might accept friends of friends!

Seen a couple other people do this, so, here are some recommendations for replacements for Wilbur's music and Lovejoy!

Crywank -> indie folk punk with lots of acoustic guitar with descriptions of paranoia, depression and a lot of dry humour.

Los Campesinos -> indie rock and indie pop! For their older music, they implement more 'emo' lyrics, but overall they have really good lyricism (you might have already heard them from Lovejoy's cover of Knee Deep At ATP!)

Arctic Monkeys -> literally what Lovejoy wanted to be. They come under almost every subsection of rock ever, and have the tendency to have absolutely stupendous bass lines.

Cavetown -> similar indie vibe to Wilbur's old music!

The Backseat Lovers -> alternate rock with intense and emotional lyrics! You may have heard of them from 'Kilby Girl' from their 2019 album 'When We Were Friends'

James Marriott -> obvious choice! As a prev Lovejoy fan, I can tell all of you you'd really anjoy his music.

Together Pangea -> typically fast paced, garage pop, or whatever you want to call it. They also have a small US tour happening soon!

Half·Alive -> you may have heard them from 'Creature' from their album 'Now, not yet'. I highly recommend these guys; very lyrical and have an insanely beautiful mix of jazz, rock and pop.

The Frights -> another indie rock/pop band! Has some really fast paced stuff, and some calmer acoustic stuff.

I've seen a lot of people saying 'seperate the art from the artist!' but, full honesty, go listen to new music! I can't take back the emotional attachment I had to his old music, especially YCMGA, but listening to his shit gives him money, and there is no way I'm giving money to an abuser. Let alone, it's become glaringly obvious that the e-girl trilogy isn't a persona, that was just him. Let alone the theme of Your Sister Was Right.

Plus, he's said multiple times that the money and the fame was all he cared about; he would disappear for months and, when he wanted attention and money, would come back to a dedicated fan-base who gave him exactly what he wanted.

Alright, I'm going to write my own thoughts down on the situation, sorry if this gets rambly

First of all, Shubble is so brave for speaking up, it's really hard for victims to speak up against there abusers in a public setting and she deserves all the respect in the world for it

That being said we do need to be mindful to give her space, this was a really traumatic thing for her and we all need to be mindful of that, give her room to breath.

On the same lines, don't go after other ccs for not ""releasing statements"", content creators aren't companies, there people. Don't get on at them for not publicly supporting Shubble, especially since there undoubtedly doing it in private, which is probably better than shoving it out there for millions of people to see. Let people support there friend in a way they and shubble are confortable with, if shubble wants them to say something or they think they need to say something themselves, they will say it.

It's like Pearl said, just because you don't see something happening publicly doesn't mean it isn't happening

Also, don't jump to call Tommy or Phil or Grian or anyone else enablers because they haven't said anything, they'll need time to process this too, it's hard to find out that your friend is a domestic abuser, let them process this in piece and don't try to cancel them over nothing like a fool. (People like Tommy will need time especially since Wilbur befriended them when they were young and by all accounts manipulated them too)

If anyone of these people have anything they feel they need to say they'll say it when there good and ready, good life tip folks:Don't Harass People. Especially if they have almost nothing to do with this (honestly Saw someone say they were going to go on to fucking RT about this despite him not knowing either person very well, the fuck)

I know why people do it, they want to make sure there favourite content creators aren't also bad, but they are people and they deserve respect, I can garentee you that almost no Qsmp or Hermitcraft or Other MCYT member who knew him stands with Wilbur

Also, some brain dead morons are saying that people calling out wilbur are doing it for clout and that they should have done it sooner, but most of the abuse happened in private, and wilbur manipulated others, many wouldn't have realised anything was wrong and if they did its still better and more respectful to come forward after shubble since its HER story to tell.

(This attack also doesn't work anymore because we have things like tubbos stream, where he actively discourages his chat from treating him like a hero for speaking out, but yeah sure they all don't give a shit about shubble and just want to make themselves look better, fuck outta here)

The sheer arrogance and privilege that people like George Davidson, Clayton, Nick, Luke, Wilbur Soot and many others in the content creator space walk around with is dangerous. These are men who have not only hurt women who have trusted them, but they have covered for eachother when they do shit that not only harmful but genuinely illegal.

Many people can/have defended dream because he's not someone accused in this mess, but that full of ignores that these are people he, not only was close friends with, but also housed. He knew, and to say he didn't makes you just as bad as he is.

We don't know all the details. We know some details. We have noticed things he may have done/said in streams that are concerning especially knowing his history. Shubble said she probably wasn't the first or the last. It is possible that many of Wilbur's (ex)friends were experiencing similar treatment but were too scared to mention it because they believed they were the only ones receiving that treatment or that Wilbur would play it off as a joke.

Shelby being as brave as she was to open up is probably the start of many recollections of Wilbur manipulating/using them.
