I like you a lattae (but can’t espresso myself)

Apparently Jimin’s been drawing dicks in the lattes of regular customer and crush, Kim Taehyung.

“You still waiting for Gucci-boy?”

At the sound of the code name that Jungkook had come up for his crush, Jimin glances up at the door.

If it had been one month earlier, Jimin would’ve said that he hated Monday shifts the most because it would mean another week of having to fake-smile at customers, getting the orders right, and making drinks as fast as he could. It’d mean another week of spending hours at a time on his feet while crying over the assignments he still had to do for class and the midterms he still had to study for, and whoever said being an visual arts major was easy, was definitely wrong.

Oh, and another week of being teased by his arch-enemy, Jeon Jungkook, for being too short to reach the supplies on the top shelf, for dressing the way he did, for just breathing it seemed like. Even though it was so hypocritical of Jeon to even say anything because who only wears oversized white t-shirts?

But anyhow, it’s all bearable now when Jimin finds his afternoon shifts spent glancing at the door, waiting for that someone to show up.

He’s probably a college student too, always arriving with notebooks sprawled across the table by the window. What’s missing though, is the look of crippling stress shown through dark circles and downturned lips and dead gazes of college students. Instead, he has the appearance of some designer brand’s runway model, trench coat flowing down to his long legs, and occasionally the prettiest pair of glasses Jimin has ever seen.

It was fitting, really. That day Jimin was on cash duty and took the gorgeous man’s order.

“Hi, how are you today?” Jimin had everything prepared, finger over the buttons on the machine, ready to type in the order as soon as he heard it. Then he’d grab the right cup and get the name of the cute customer and—

“I’m Taehyung. Kim Taehyung.” Gucci boy had then paused without realizing what he’d said wrong, or rather, what he’d heard wrong. “And you are…?”

“Uh – Jimin.” An awkward smile. “I’m Jimin.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Jimin.”

And that’s how it all started.

Kim Taehyung.

He’s so attractive that Jimin would totally draw him in latte art if he could. Wouldn’t those lattes be so thirst-quenching—

“Well it looks like he’s here again,” a teasing voice floats over from by the sink, pulling Jimin out of his thoughts. “It’s the second time today too.”

Jimin hears the smirk in Jungkook’s voice without even turning, and immediately glances at the door again for the ten-thousandth time this hour. As mentioned, Jimin could indeed see the expensive man heading towards the cafe.

“Second time?”

“He was here when I started my shift.” Jungkook dries the blenders and puts them on the rack. “Seemed kind of disappointed when you weren’t here. But hey, maybe that’s why he’s coming in again.” He simply shrugs when Jimin shoots him a glare. “Got thirsty.”

“Isn’t your shift supposed to like,” Jimin gestures vaguely, “end, or something?”

“Not for another two hours,” Jungkook raises his eyebrows and clicks his tongue knowingly. “So you want to take the cash so you can talk to Gucci-boy, or do you want to make his drink…with love, and all that?”

“I’ll make the drink.” He grumbles.

It would give him more time to talk to Taehyung than being at the cash register would, if other customers came in. Besides, Jimin wanted to draw something nice for him.

“Hi, what can I get you?” Jungkook asks, and Jimin can hear the smirk dripping from his voice. That asshole.

“Just the usual, please,” Taehyung says, eyes flickering over to Jimin for the briefest millisecond, and Jimin almost forgot how deep his voice was. “For here.”

“I wanted to ask you something about latte art.”

“Why, are you planning on drawing your phone number to give to Gucci-boy?” Jungkook has that ugly smug look on his face again and Jimin fights the urge to smack it off.

Jungkook is literally his last resource, for he’d spent all too many hours on Google browsing through pages of the same kinds of latte art that just wouldn’t be special enough for Taehyung, and all too many shifts practicing on his macchiatos in a corner when his asshole barista partner wasn’t looking.

Screw Jungkook.

“Can you actually do that?” Jimin rolls his eyes when he sees Jungkook nodding. “No, but I was actually thinking of drawing a heart or something.”

Jungkook snorts, bending over the counter in attempt to conceal his laughter, and failing at it for a good full minute. “You – what?”

Jimin doesn’t bother answering him and frowns, waiting for the brat to stop. Someday Jungkook will get a giant coffee stain on one of those white t-shirts of his and who will be the one laughing then?

“Seriously? Hearts?”

“You have a better idea?”

“Your number is probably a better idea.” Jungkook pauses. “But I’ll teach you how to do both anyway.”

A few hours later, Taehyung was undoubtedly walking through the door as usual, and Jimin was ready to do the thing. It was going to be his phone number floating along the top, with a couple of pretty swirls at the bottom.

“Are you sure about this?”

“Yeah, just go give it to him.” Jungkook rolls his eyes. Like it’s so easy to do this.

Jimin glares at him. “I don’t see you making any moves on boy-who-looks-like-death.” His real name was Yoongi or something, but Jimin still thinks he’s intimidating as hell. Though he was probably the only one who could bring out the non-asshole side of Jungkook, so Jimin is thankful for his existence.

“Well, you were born in Busan first, right?” Jungkook flashes the brightest evil smile with his bunny teeth and stupid eye crinkles and Jimin wants to punch him. “So I guess you’re doing this first too.”

“Fuck off,” he huffs, picking up the cup to bring over to Taehyung’s table.

After trying not to be disappointed at his blank phone screen every five seconds and actually trying to pay attention in a few of his classes, Jimin starts to believe that the bright smile he’d seen on Taehyung’s face hadn’t actually meant anything, that the light blush was just from the lighting, and the gentle brush of fingers over his arm had just been an accident.

Because why would there be any reason for Taehyung to like him anyway? Gucci-boy was probably friendly with everyone and more well-liked than Jimin would ever hope to be.

Jimin pushes the hope in his chest down and buries it under more pressing issues like the assignment he hadn’t even started on. He throws himself in the pile of work that needs to be done, and doesn’t even check his phone for the rest of the night, resulting in a bunch of missed texts from none other than the brat, Jungkook.

He really doesn’t want to go back to work. Ever again.

“Did he text you?” Jungkook asks the next day when he’s unfortunately back at the coffee shop. Again.

“No,” Jimin’s heart sinks with the reminder, cheeks ablaze from the embarrassment, “he probably thinks I’m a creep now. I think I’ll just stop trying. If he ever comes back at all.”

To his surprise, Jungkook doesn’t say anything at that but there’s still a hint of some sort of evil smile at the edge of his lips. Maybe it was like a resting bitch face but like, some sort of permanent evil, smug face.

“You know, maybe I’ll just quit and find a new job. That way I won’t have to see your ugly face again either—”

“Dude, you’re in luck,” the brat nods towards the door, “because it looks like lover-boy is back.”

And just as he said, the slender runway model is walking through the door like he’d done every day so far.

“Go talk to him when you give him his drink. Maybe he doesn’t even have a cell phone. Or a texting plan or something.”

Jimin groans. “Who, in this age, doesn’t have a cell phone?”

Jungkook side-eyes him, staying silent.

“Wow, Jungkook, don’t tell me you dropped it in the toilet again.”

“Shut up, and get your short ass over there, ugly.”

A few minutes later, Jimin brings the latte to Taehyung. There’s a normal heart design as the art today since he figured it would be a bit too strange if he suddenly stopped doing the latte art. That’s what he tells himself anyway: No, it’s not because I want to impress him. I’m done with trying. This is just a drink from a barista to a customer—nothing more, nothing less.

“Here’s your drink. Enjoy!” Jimin sets it down and avoids staring at Gucci-boy for too long.

Just as he’s about to give up thinking of things to say and brace himself for Jungkook’s teasing, Taehyung opens his mouth.  

“Do you prefer talking to people in person instead of texting?” Taehyung suddenly asks, an unreadable expression on his face.

It’s definitely not what Jimin was expecting. In fact, it’s so far from what he was expecting that it takes him a good thirty seconds of his jaw hanging open and brain reeling for any sound to come out of his mouth.

“Um, what? I don’t mind either?” In fact it would be great—no, excellent— if you could text me back, yes thank you.

“Oh. But you told me to stop texting you?”

“Wait, what?” Jimin quickly pulls out his phone. The notification section still remains blank. Unfortunately just like his love life. “I never even received any texts from you.”

“Hmm.” Taehyung pulls out his phone as well. It’s a shiny black and super sleek, and there’s a very artistic case on it. “Is this your number?”

It looks right for the most part. Except where there should be a six, there’s an eight instead.

“Ah, that’s why.” Jimin shyly takes his phone and makes the correction. “It was wrong.”

“You mean I’ve been texting the wrong person this entire time?” Taehyung pulls up the text conversation with the wrong number, showing a string of memes with a couple of fluffy puppy gifs in between. And a few compliments for Jimin’s drinks. Followed by a “stop texting me” from the ungrateful recipient.

“That’s so mean. Who could say no to all that?” Jimin doesn’t say anything about the compliments but could feel the blush creeping up his neck and ears. “I mean… I wouldn’t mind if you sent all that to me now.”

“Don’t worry, they’ll get even better.” A wink.

So Taehyung didn’t hate him after all, and even came back into the store despite having “Jimin” tell him to stop texting him. Which is a pretty big deal because Jimin definitely would not have been able to face him again.

Either way, Jimin just needed to improve his latte art.

“Here’s your vanilla latte!”

It’s his usual drink, with the usual heart latte art that Jimin had been drawing for the past while now. For consistency, he tells himself, not to impress a certain someone. He just hopes that Taehyung never looks at other people’s drinks that are missing the fancy designs.

“Thanks, Jiminnie,” is accompanied with the brightest smile that makes Jimin’s heart flutter just a little.

Jimin goes back behind the counter and tries to hide that wide grin he can’t seem to keep off his lips so that other customers don’t think he’s too weird. Luckily for him, Jungkook hasn’t come in for work yet and isn’t there to make his life miserable.

When there’s a lull and no customers show up for a while, Jimin finds his eyes constantly drifting back to this Kim Taehyung who has a gorgeous side profile that Jimin just can’t look away from.

And that’s when he notices Taehyung glancing strangely at the latte. He lifts it, holds it against the natural light streaming through the window he’s sitting beside, and then he looks at it from one side, then from the top, then the other side. And strangely enough, he takes out his phone, and it’s not to take a picture for Instagram like Jimin might’ve thought. Taehyung holds it so that the black screen is facing the latte, then looks into the screen as if checking out the reflection.

Maybe there was something wrong with the latte. Maybe there was a bug in it? That would be quite terrible.

He approaches the table after about five minutes of hesitating. “Is everything alright?” Jimin asks softly.

“Yeah, just perfect now that you’re here!” Taehyung spares a glance and his eyes immediately light up when he sees Jimin sitting across from him. But when he looks back at the latte, the confused expression still remains on his face despite his answer. “Well, actually…”

Taehyung leans over the table and beckons Jimin to do the same, as if he has a big secret to share. “I’ve finally come up with an answer.” There’s a kind of eureka spark swimming in his eyes, and Jimin is about to ask if he’s solved the matter and energy problem. “My answer would be yes,” comes out in a loud whisper, “because you’re really hot.”

“Answer to what?” Jimin tries to ignore the last part and can’t figure out how it’s relevant to the other stuff Taehyung just said. His mind replays snippets of their conversations and texts and even memes throughout the past month, but he doesn’t remember ever asking anything.

“You know,” Tae leans back, relaxed now that he’s shared what he’d wanted to say, “if you wanted me to sleep with you, then you could’ve just asked. Or like, at least asked me out on a date first.”

Jimin balks, feeling his face heating up real fast. Why would Tae think that…? It had to have been that brat, Jungkook. He was definitely going to kill—

“I mean, it would’ve been easier than drawing dicks on my lattes every day.”

If Jimin had been drinking something he’d have immediately choked on it, spat it all out, and then spilled the rest on himself.

What? The? Fuck?

Out of all the possibilities he’d thought of during his nervous pacing behind the counter, none of them even came close to what this man had just said. Out loud. In front of all the other customers in the cafe, which wasn’t too many, but Jimin could only pray that no one else heard anything or he’ll actually die on the spot from embarrassment.

“You drew this, right?” Taehyung looks at him expectantly, pushing his cup forward. “It’s not a bad drawing, but—”

“It…it was supposed to be a heart.” Jimin could tell his cheeks were reddening with how hot they felt, and he wanted nothing more to just go back in time and bury himself before he even went to work today. Or actually quit his job the last time he thought about it.  Nice going, idiot. You’ve not only failed at impressing him, but now you’ve offended him. “All of them were meant to be hearts.”

Upon looking closer at the drink, he can see that Taehyung was…not that incorrect. The heart he’d drawn a while ago is now completely deformed. It’s much longer and thinner, probably from the movements when he brought the cup over, and the bottom corner is now flatter and—there was nothing left to say because Taehyung was completely right.

Jimin’s heart sinks as much as his latte art did. “I guess hearts aren’t great for latte art…”

“Oh.” Taehyung furrows his brows, lips pursed together. “But why would you put a heart?” He sounds genuinely confused, but the expression makes Jimin feel even smaller.

“I-I—” There was no way of answering that one without giving away how Jimin really felt. “Um, you know what… I’ll just um, make another latte for you. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

Picking up the latte, Jimin quickly turns around so that his crush wouldn’t see any how his eyes shone with the tears that threatened to spill. He’d just make a plain latte, no art. There’s really no point of making latte art anyway when this kind of outcome—

A hand gently grabs his arm, stopping him mid-step.

“Jiminnie, it’s fine.”

His heart throbs at that nickname. “No, I want to make your drink perfect this time.”

“It’s fine.” A pair of large eyes gaze up. “I like it.”

He doesn’t meet Taehyung’s gaze and keeps his face turned away slightly. “No you don’t; it’s terrible. I don’t even want to look at it—you should’ve said something much earlier so I could fix—”

“Jimin, it really doesn’t matter. I like this because I like you.”

“What are you talking about?” Jimin finally looks directly at Taehyung and there’s no sign of him joking around or trying to troll him. Those beautiful eyes are clear, and there’s a hint of a small smile. “Why?” Jimin says again, on autopilot, but softer. His brain is frozen and he doesn’t know what else to do besides stare back at the gorgeous man.

“Ah, you’re so cute.” The smile widens. “I really like you.”

Jimin can still only stare back at him silently.

“You can put as many dicks as you want in my lattes, and I’ll enjoy them just the same because you made them.”

He doesn’t know if he should laugh or cry or maybe just sink into the depths of the ground, but Jimin’s heart pounds loudly against his chest. He sees an old lady from a couple of tables over turn her head towards them and drop her jaw in shock.

“It’s okay, you don’t need to try to make me feel better about this. It’s completely my fault.”

Taehyung thinks for a moment and then suddenly frowns. “Wait, maybe that came out a little weird. I just mean that whatever you make is always perfect, Jimin. Seriously. You have a talent for this and your drinks always come out nearly as sweet as you are and maybe you’re trying to make me get diabetes here but I think that’ll still be fine because it’s from you. Wait I mean getting diabetes isn’t good and no one should want that, but my point is that you’re great. You’re sweet.” A pause. “Ah, that’s what it was supposed to be: you’re so sweet that I’m going to get diabetes—”

“Sh-shut up, Tae.”

“But it’s true! You’re so perfect and if you weren’t so good at your job, I’d go tell you to be an artist or something because you’re really good! Hey,” he points at the old lady who’s still staring at them with a face frozen in shock, “isn’t our Jiminnie great? He’s the best barista ever—”

“Tae, stop!”

“Did I say something wrong?”

“No—” Jimin tries to cover his face with a hand. “Okay, okay, I get it.”

“Do you? Hey when do you finish work? Let me take you out sometime.” Taehyung looks at him so intently with those mesmerizing eyes that it’s hard to look away.

“Wait, what?”

“I like you, Jiminnie. Like like. Well, and like, I guess, because who doesn’t? You’re the highlight of my day and amazingly, your dick latte art pretty much helped me pass that one philosophy class. But I—”

“Okay.”

Now it’s Taehyung’s turn to pause and do a double take. “Wait, what?”

“I’d love to go on a date with you.”

“Okay, good. I mean, great. Excellent. Wholesome.”

They’re left with a warm silence between them, smiles mirrored on faces that manage to show much more than words could. Sweetness lingers amidst the blood still roaring in his ears and pulse still racing endlessly, and somehow Jimin’s pleasantly surprised at how things turned out.

Then the moment ends with Tae suddenly frowns.

“But does this mean you actually don’t want to sleep with me?”

When Jimin leaves for his date with Tae, all he sees his Jungkook’s smug face. But the joke’s on him because the next time when Yoongi walks into the coffee shop, Jimin doesn’t tell Jungkook that the hearts he’s been drawing for boy-who-looks-like-death indeed turn out looking like dicks. Nor does Jimin tell him that there’s a giant coffee stain on the front of his white t-shirt.

CORONA BOREALIS - 3: NINETY FIVE

Like Crazy + People Pt.2 PLAYLIST.

[Music is a very big part of my life and I’m MOSTLY INCAPABLE of writing without music, so I just thought I'd share what I am listening to while writing this]

Every year we spend on this planet something that will change the course of our lives tends to happen. Sometimes, it is something as small as the discovery of a new plant, and sometimes it is as big as a pandemic. So let’s, for example, look at positive things that happened in 1995 cause believe me some pretty fucked up shit also happened this year. This was the year that made the internet mainstream (can you imagine our lives without the internet? … ). 

Music was also 👌🏾this year, it brought us some classics such as Waterfalls by TLC, You Are Not Alone by Michael Jackson and a “little” song named Gangsta’s Paradise, which instantly raised its singer to worldwide fame; Coolio. Yeah, 1995 was an amazing year for Coolio, but little did he know that his life would end up being intertwined with seven others, two of which were also born in 1995: 13 October 1995, in Busan, a little bundle of joy, named Park Jimin graces this planet and a couple of months later another one decides to make his surly quirky entrance, 30 December 1995, in Daegu.

Jimin. He turned out to be a boy who would be very confident in his abilities, but perhaps not so much in himself as a person. Nevertheless, he knew he wanted to accomplish big-big things, and was going to stop at nothing to accomplish his goals. Then there was Taehyung. He on the other hand turned out to be a boy very confident in himself as a person, but perhaps not too sure of his abilities per say. Yet, he had dreams, very big ones at that, and admittedly he might have not known exactly how to get there but his desire to make them come true was as big as the dream itself.

They don’t seem to have much in common up to this point do they? Like, if there ever were a human representation of the concept of YingYang, it be them, no cap.

Even from an astrological point, don’t mind me an my interest in things of the sort  😬😬😬 not only do they seem to fit their descriptions, but they also just so happen to be each other’s opposite. Jimin is an Air Sign, and people with this element are known to be intellectual and communicative. They are experts in the ephemeral, the things of this world that lack physical form, and this is especially true of language and information. Taehyung is an Earth Sign and people with this element are known to be patient and practical. On a bad day: Just as Earth signs can be loyal, they can also be stubborn and inflexible. It's often their way or the highway .

In conclusion, regardless of whether you look at their factual past or their theoretical astrology, any kind of relationship between these two would seem impossible and even non-advisable. Yet, there they are being soulmates and here are some in the fandom scratching our heads, which is exactly the problem. They are here taking in superficial information regarding VMIN, rather than moving a couple of steps further and going there, where VMIN actually are, and take a closer look. If they did, they’d find out that in fact, Park Jimin and Kim Taehyung share the same exact spiritual level. And what do I mean by this?

Tae and JM’s isn’t a simple story of “opposite attracts” because they actually also have so much in common. Both look for warmth and love in their relationships, they are indeed very tactile and in the same way respond well to being touched by those they love/care about. They like and seem to crave attention a touch more than all other members in the group, and admittedly, they have recalibrated this desire as they grew up. Both are not comfortable when those they care about are suffering, they have a need to reach out and try to “kiss it” better. This might have been very apparent to people lately with regards to Jimin They are both painfully shy, Tae simply has a better control of his facial expressions, but once that cracks, it is off to the nearest hiding point. Lastly, and this is very important in their friendship dynamic; they do whatever they want to do. Always this JM is more skillful in hiding. 

It is only fair to now take a look at the tangible parts of their personas which aren’t, or weren’t as I think they’ve actually grown out of some of them compatible. Jimin is actively aware of his surroundings and Tae isn’t, meaning that JM is more likely to quickly try and make a change in his situation if he doesn’t like it (help someone in need, cheat to win, etc …) and perhaps regret it later, but not really. Tae, who also has the same kind of awareness, is however a ponderer; do I have to do something? What will happen if I do something? Depending on his personal answer, and the situation at hand, he may or may not do something about it, and perhaps regret it later, but not really. The following, I feel like it applied to them as teens, their “possessiveness” towards things, or relationships, has always been to a point where JM would do his might best to latch on to whatever he wanted to “monopolise” until he did, whereas Tae, if he found out he couldn’t “monopolise” whatever, he would move on to the next thing he could. 

And it is exactly because they could understand each other on this level that their friendship has become so solid and further from reach that it’s understanding is also eluding the mind of many. Their friendship, in my opinion, has now exceeded the performative level, on every level, it is almost as if these two have unlocked the ultimate regular friendship goal, which has the dynamics of a non-celebrity strong-ass friendship. This is a friendship that right at its very core didn’t skip any step and has experienced it all, from euphoria for example, ANY and EVERY TIME they start acting like characters in their imaginary scenarios to tribulations arguments caused by thoughtless, resulting in insensitive, words or actions, particularly in their youth.

So then finally, if you piece all of the aforementioned together  a situation where the two of them had a completely different opinion, then one starts an action, the other has a reaction, they then stay put in their opinions for a bit but then one will eventually cave and the other will cave even harder as they soothe each other … isn’t too hard to imagine, is it?

In a way, if you think of them as their astrological signs. JM (air sign) has been that one person who has been able to understand and vibe with Tae’s quirkiness, helping him to elevate towards those heights he always dreamed of. And at the same Tae (earth sign) has kept Jimin grounded in moments when perhaps being up there in the air wasn’t it. In moments, when he perhaps needed someone who would be willing to very normally share a hug and/or a tear. 

As we all know, they both have separate friendship groups and are very involved with their respective ones, which also goes with the nature of their character; they will do what they want to do and this we know from videos, pictures they decided to share with us. But please, let’s not forget that Tae is the one person who has probably called JM the most, the one who has declared Jimin as his fav, the one thanks to whom Jimin's back is blessed with more moons. Let’s also not forget that Jimin has been around for Tae in moments of great loss, or that Tae is his forever teddy bear, and that Jimin can understand him just by looking into his eyes. They’ve gained each other’s trust and I’d like to believe that they also know how to protect and cherish it. 

Great. Now, let’s get back out here . BTS as a whole has really reached levels where performative actions are, yes, a fan-fav but they can, in all honesty, decide not to act up on them, like posting things on social media, fanservice, etc, it is really all to their discretion. So let me ask you? If you were either JM/Tae, in 2023, and had a problem with Tae/JM, which you wanted to solve, who would you address it to?: Tae/JM? Or your fans’? …

Whose words would ultimately provide you with the solution you are searching for? Tae/JM? Or your fans’?

Freaky Friday

Kinktober Day 21 - Vmin/bodyswapping

Warnings: Y/N calls Tae daddy once, spit roasting, magical place swapping. This fic is based off of their OT7 relationship, therefore Y/N is also dating Jimin she just wasn’t expecting him. Also they don’t have powers in the other ot7 fics I just really wanted to write a soulmates fic.

“Taaaae” your whine fell on deaf ears as he continued to game.

Every time you got ignored you removed an item of clothing, waiting to see how long it would take him to stop.

You were down to underwear by now.

And he continued to play against Jimin is some silly little shooting game.

Jimin was somewhere in the house, they could be playing together but apparently it was more fun if you couldn’t see each other’s screen.

Realistically you could just go find one of the others to play but something about you was just craving Taehyung

If you're being honest it was probably the fact he was ignoring you.

“Kim Taehyung! Look at me.”

He huffs but finally blinks away from his screen, looking at you in the mirror next to his desk.

He does a double-take before taking his headset off and letting his character die.

You can hear Jimin’s mocking through the abandoned headphones.

Taehyung stalks towards where you kneel on the bed.

It’s when you see the dark look in his eyes you realise the mistake you may have made.

“So fucking needy Jagiya? Can’t wait for Daddy to finish playing.” He tuts

You bow your head to escape the intensity of his gaze.

One of his hands holds your hip, nails digging into the flesh.

The other pulls your chin up so you have to look into his eyes.

being honest i dont get jm using a award to say he misses tannie... we don’t know 90% of their lives but they are very close to the point of still sleeping together sometimes. and going deep if they were really a couple jm woudnt miss taes dog right? and even as friends he could visit it. unless its because of their schedule right... this kind of comment sometimes confuses me and haters will use it as “they arent close” lol. i just wanted to know your pov.

Judging by Admin 2's reaction, as well as some others in our asks, I have a feeling I was the only one with a more realistic expectation, or lack of expectations, as I waited for the BTS profiles to be posted. Based on last year's, I knew expecting something grand out of Tae, and especially Jimin, would just be me setting myself up for failure, which is what I think happened here.

But, let's discuss it.

I spent a solid couple of hours making an excel table last night that contains everything every member said about every member (sourcing 3 translators for maximum insight) to see if really what Jimin chose for Tae is so "bad" that suddenly people are sending us asks like this one, and another one I'll add later down the line. And the conclusion I've come to is that...what he gave to Tae, as well as Hobi and Seokjin, as awards are the only ones that have any actual emotional/personal connection to them.

With Namjoon and JK Jimin basically states the obvious--Namjoon is tall and JK has gained muscle mass, meaning nothing new or with a proper emotional connection was stated; to Yoongi he made the same request many other members have made, so a work connection, nothing inherently personal.

Now, compared to that--Seokjin teases him/them, which isn't new info, so Jimin asked him to stop or do it less, a valid request which I'm sure he also voiced to Seokjin outside of this FESTA profile and also shows a degree of personal connection; Hobi gets requested to not walk away after asking Jimin a question, which again shows a personal connection and that it's a reoccurring thing; and lastly Tae with Tannie.

Something I've noticed is that some ARMY, who are used to our western celebrities and draw conclusions about idols based on those parameters, forget that BTS are busy, like whatever you consider busy, take that and multiply it by ten. During his vlive with Hobi and Yoongi back in April, Tae said that they are much busier and their lives far more hectic than any of us realize. Taking that into account, and the fact that one of the members (I think it might have been Seokjin) mentioned they work at least ten hours a day for 360 days a year with practice, MV and CF filming, photoshoots, interviews, recording and working on music, meetings, and many other things we have no idea about, do you really think Yeontan lives with Tae full time? A dog needs to get walked and fed but if Tae is out of the house every day for at least ten hours, what would happen to Tannie? He'd just sit around at home alone all day which just isn't fair, so I'm sure Tannie lives with Tae's parents much the same way Micky lives with Hobi's parents and/or his sister, JKs dog lives with his family, Holly lives with Yoongi’s brother, Moni with Namjoon's, and years ago Seokjin had to give his sugar gliders to his parents because he was too busy to take care of them.

Based on that of that, I'm not sure how often Tae get's to see Tannie. Probably not all that often, to be honest. So, if Tannie's owner doesn't get to see him often, I'd assume Jimin gets to see him even less (if we work on the assumption that Tannie lives with Tae's parents and thus Tae could only really see him when visiting them or when they visit him, that means Jimin wouldn't be able to see Tannie just like that either, since that would be like intruding on family time, right?). And we know Jimin loves Tannie, so him using that award to say he misses him and is asking about him shows care and an emotional connection to Tannie. Do I think Jimin also asks Tae privately about Tannie? Absolutely. And still, while Jimin didn't give Tae the, I don't know, "hot body Award" like Yoongi did with Namjoon or the "person I love most in the world award" (which we should know by now would never happen, and if you expected something of that intensity level, than I'm sorry but you've set yourself up for disappointment from the start), he still drew a personal and emotional connection between himself and Tae, as well as the pet Tae loves dearly.

Jimin could’ve asked about the other pets of the members, but he didn’t, he only ever really talked about Tannie, and here he does it again, so doesn’t that show that he has a bond with him, a closer one than the other members since they don’t/didn’t ask about him (except for Hobi that one time on weverse)?

Speaking of Hobi, am I the only one who finds it interesting and cute that he only drew little hearts for Jimin and Tae when writing down their awards?

Also, we have to remember that these profiles are for us, fan content (remember when Jimin asked Tae last year to post more pictures of Tannie on weverse because ARMY miss seeing him, so what if this is drawing a connection/parallel to that?), and not meant as the members “confessing” something to each other that they otherwise wouldn’t or don’t have the chance to do so. It’s not meant to be all that serious and instead just be fun and nice for us to read, show us a bit of their dynamic and that’s it, no world shattering revelations to be found, from any of them. Or do you really think Yoongi doesn’t like Jimin just because he told Jimin he’s trying too hard to be funny? It’s just part of their dynamic. Or that none of the members have anything else to say to JK besides commenting on his body/appearance? As for vmin, I’d like to remind us of this moment from their Friends subunit interview for FESTA 2020:

Whatever Jimin and Tae want to say to each other, they don’t need FESTA to do it, or us to be there as witnesses. Like Tae didn’t already say enough by telling us that 95z is love. Or Jimin by writing Friends.

Now this is where I just sit and sigh heavily because it’s exactly what I expected and I will admit it irks me to no end. Let’s establish a little timeline:

Based on the FESTA Mission! BTS 4 Cuts Teaser that was posted earlier we can deduce that at least part of FESTA was already being prepared back in the first half of March, since on March 12th Jimin, Namjoon and Seokjin had their salad making vlive. Let’s suppose that everything FESTA related was prepared and written out by the members around that time as well. Sometime later BTS filmed YOU QUIZ followed by LET’S BTS and BTSxGame Caterers and everything else we’ve seen after that.

Or going a little further back to sometime in November 2020 while they were preparing for MMA 2020 and the Black Swan performance. We got the practice video today and if you pay attention to Jimin and Tae even there you notice that while Tae is waiting for his turn in the choreography, Jimin runs past him after his part is done (0:55) and they pat each other or do a “high five” or something along those lines as a way to cheer each other on. A very “we’re broken up” or “I will break up with him soon” thing to do, right? Or in min-January when Tae posted seven pictures out of which three were of just Jimin after an ARMY on weverse asked if anyone had any nice pictures they could use as wallpaper for their phone. Between all that I’m having a hard time honestly finding any moment where either of them seemed sad or “cold” toward the other the way you would be and feel if the person you love pulled away from you or broke up with you.

If you are still unconvinced and still think that is what Jimin tried to communicate to us, would Tae really have gone on national TV and said he likes Jimin the most? And would Jimin have agreed that he likes him a lot as well? Or looking at the making video of their Kloud Beer CF that was posted today as well, would Jimin really be looking and interacting with Tae this way if he decided to end things between them?

Also, going back a little, your mention of Jimin reflecting upon opportunities/chances now that it’s a new year. My question is based on what you made the judgment that this comment has to be about vmin and not about something entirely different in Jimin’s life, or maybe something connected to BTS as a whole? Just because of him asking Tae about Tannie? Jimin, as well as Tae and the other members, have entire lives outside of just their bonds with each other, entire careers, passion projects, families, friend groups, and that little bit of time they have to themselves, so immediately thinking Jimin’s comment must be related to his relationship/bond with Tae basically makes it seem like Jimin’s life is a romcom or a TV show in which the only thing that matters is if the main character will date or remain in a relationship with character B or not, but life isn’t like that.

Personally it reminded me of something Tae said during their Bring the Soul documentary about how BTS had the opportunities to go higher faster but they decided against them. Perhaps Jimin’s comment was about something like this as well, especially since we know Jimin is a very private person and very selective of the personal things he shares with us and the ones he doesn’t.

For the FESTA profile JK decided to give Jimin the “Cute Award” with the explanation that his “Face, height, fingers are cute” which, honestly, is just saying something that a) is true and b) has been said in millions of ways by every member across the last couple of years. I don’t see what the issue here is? During one of the episodes of BTSxGame Caterers Seokjin said that Jimin is very cute and that he has a small, beautiful face, so really he even added the word beautiful in there, which JK did not, so what really is the issue here? The fact its JK, right, that’s where the issue lies, to which I ask why? On this blog we’ve already established that there is (in our opinion and based on everything we’ve seen and heard) no romantic connection between JK and Jimin (nor Tae), not now and not in the past either, so why is him saying that Jimin is cute (which he is known for even by people outside of ARMY, or like James Cordon calling him his cute baby mochi) is an issue but Seokjin or any other member is not? Either we use the same measurements for everyone or we don’t compare or make such assumptions about any of them.

What I find curious, because this does make it seem like you, anon, are someone influenced by J*k*ok shippers and their opinions, see an issue in JK saying that about Jimin, and how that’s “proof” that Jimin and Tae can’t possibly be together, and yet you took no issue to Namjoon basically saying he wants to give Tae an award because he is so handsome he is above every list or Yoongi comparing him to Michelangelo's David, both of these being much more superlative and grand complements/awards than JK saying Jimin’s face, height and fingers are cute.

It’s funny how things that Jimin and Tae have said about and to each other that make their bond very clear (I want to live with my lovely Taehyungie forever or here is my love for you while handing Tae a bunch of red heart balloons or 95z is love, a statement I’m sure he wouldn’t post if that sentiment weren’t mutual) are all questioned or ignored, but something as basically trivial as a comment about Jimin being cute is turned into a major issue. The mental gymnastics is fascinating.

Lastly, going back to the first anon and their mention of how haters will use Jimin’s Award for Tae as “proof” that they “aren’t close anymore”--why do we care? Like Namjoon said in the Mic Drop lyrics Haters gon’ hate. They will say a lot of things about a lot of things and even make things up if they feel like it to push their agenda, so really, regardless of what Jimin would’ve said, or not said, they would’ve found a way to twist it and make it fit their narrative. Besides, what haters think has no actual effect or bearing on what Tae and Jimin have with each other, and neither does what other shippers claim. Haters and other shippers don’t control the narrative, BTS do, and everything Jimin and Tae have shown us in 2021, as well as the last eight years, shows me that their bond has only ever grown stronger and closer and more beautiful and awe inspiring, even while haters claimed they stopped being friends years ago, so why should you or I care what they think?

Like Yoongi once said in one of his vlives about how haters can write all they want, he won’t read it while they will get sued.

Has to do with a war that broke out following the assassination of the Emperor, where humans began hunting werewolves after accusing them of conspiring against the monarchy. So you have Taehyung, Namjoon, Hoseok and Jeongguk as survivors of this war and living as bounty hunters, but one day when Taehyung falls gravely ill and no remedy can cure his disease. The four of them have to journey south where a surviving pack of werewolves live and may be the only ones who can save him. But it is Taehyung himself who holds the biggest secret of them all.

4. Do you write original stories as well?

I used to have this one original story that I spent MANY years plotting and finally began writing in 2009, but after I reached the 32th chapter I left it on permanent Hiatus.

5. What fanfic of yours should everyone have read?

I would like to recommend “All or Nothing”, “Yoongi’s Confession” and “Forever You Said”.

6. What is a fandom you will never write for?

NEVER AGAIN for Death Note that fandom was hella toxic back in the day. I also wouldn’t write for Dragon Ball z (and all the versions of it) I just can’t envision the ships correctly XD

7. What is a ship you will never write for?

Tae//kook sorry no offense to the members themselves... but their crazy, toxic, obsessed fans made me hate the ship. Also the fics I’ve read of this ship are just as toxic and Jimin is always somehow hurt in them. So NOPE. The only way I would come close to writing anything with them is if it involves VMINKOOK as end game.

8. Archive of Our Own, FanFiction.net, Wattpad, Tumblr, etc. which platform do you prefer?

Archive of Our Own all the way. I used to have a FF.net account many years ago but never really uploaded anything to it. Never did liked wattpad’s format and Tumblr isn’t exactly a practical place to read fics plus you have to manually link chapters.

9. What are your favorite fanfics?

Oh wow I’ve read so many good ones... “Surreptitious” (by Bangtanbananas), “bitchin’ witchin’“ (by spookysuga), “forever was never till now” (by SpringonMars) and “The Devil’s Cut”

10. How do you stay motivated to finish what you’ve started?

I cry on the floor, go through several breakdowns and then stare blankly at my word doc forcing my brain to work.

11. What’s your longest fanfic?

“Lunatic High” with 16-17 chapters.

I try to write little snippets whenever they come to mind no matter what I’m doing. So I always try to keep my phone close by and my Notes ready for any plot bunny that may run by.

I’ve honestly never gotten “criticized” per say or negative comments. Though I do get that sometimes my readers can be a bit impatient 🤭 but I get that since I can be impatient too.

No OCs as main characters, only supporting if I run out of people.

I try a bit of everything if it helps the ideas flow.

“You’re My Tear/You’re My Fear” (944 words) which is a song-fic with the song “TEAR” by BTS.

Hmm I have like 49 or 50 playlists/mixtapes. All from different genres but when I’m writing a particular story I listen to my Release Radar or New Releases and like the songs I think would fit to that story. So many of my fics have their own mixtape ^^

I always start a new fic thinking “this will only be a oneshot” and then chapter 2 and 3 happens...

I was 9yr and into the anime YuYu Hakusho, so I was browsing the internet for images about Kurama and Hiei cause they were my fave characters and stumbled into this blog that someone had and she had this story “Wild Winds”, I read it thinking it was some spoiler to the series and I remember that the story was kind of sad because Kurama had killed his human body and was going back to his Yohko Kurama self and Hiei held him in his arms through the process. At the end Kurama and Hiei kiss but it was out of defiance because they knew they didnt have much time left because they were found out. I legit thought this would or had happened in the series, but the author explained to me that it was made up by her and I found that so fascinating.

From my current fanfics? No, but I did deleted old ones from my deviantart page because years later as I grew more mature I realized how childish a lot of my writing was back then.

Ahh... that’s an old wound that’s tough to re-open. Because it didn’t happen with my fanfics but it DID happened with that original story I mentioned. And the one who plagiarized it was a long time follower of mine on DA, I even considered her a friend. She used MY story for a contest she made up at a Death Note fan club she had and never told me. I found out because another follower was a member in that club so she asked me about it. What hurt the most is that when I called her out in private and asked her to delete my story from her contest she made this post ON THE CLUB saying I was accusing her of being a disgusting thief and wanted to ruin the contest, so this ended up with her 300+ club members harassing me and sending me death threats. I think that’s one of the reasons I quit writing that story half way.

38.Do you partake in any fanfic/writing events? (Big bangs, zines, NaNoWriMo, etc?)

I’ve thought about it? But most of these contest take place on Twitter which I don’t have an account to and most of Army twitter is well... hella toxic. Especially now with fanfic writers getting harassed/bullied into deleting their accounts and called “fetishizers” by fake woke kpoppies who enjoy listening to fake moan videos and reading Y/N/self-insert fics about being r*ped by their 7 mafia husbands. 😒 (I said what I said)

39. Collaborations or working solo?

I enjoy working solo for now. I like working at my own pace.

40. Do you have any rituals before uploading a fic?

Yes! I freak out, obsessively go over each word and sentence to make sure no typos are in sight, drink two cups of black coffee, have a mental break down, get distracted by tumblr or animal videos on youtube, dissociate for half an hour and finally upload the fic at 6:00AM ^^ then have another meltdown the next day after I find ONE typo I missed 😂😂😂😂😂

41. What is something you don’t like about your writing?

That it doesn’t come out when I want/need it to or the way I have it figured out inside my head.

42. Rudest review?

lol okay so this wasn’t really a “rude” review, but there was this one girl who left very strange comments on every chapter of “Forever You Said” while talking in 3rd person. Its like she was running her own self-insert fic while reading mine. Thankfully she deleted her account.

43. Guilty pleasure tropes and scenarios?

Guilty pleasure tropes... hmm.. I’m a sucker for vampire x werewolf relationships since its considered a “forbidden love” and how they eventually work it out. Also the “Enemies to Lovers” tropes is an all time fave especially when the love happens in a way you never expected it. 

44. Does fanart of your fanfic exist?

I.. as far as I’m concerned I’m the only ones who makes fanart/companion art of my fics 😅😌 I have yet to see a single fanart of any of them....

45. Do fanfics of your fanfic exist?

I don’t think so? But if there are I would like to read them! Just as long as the person didn’t do it out of spite because they didn’t like the pairing/ship I wrote about.

46. Few long essay reviews or many short reviews?

I enjoy both! But the long ones are more fun to read because you get an in depth pov of what your readers liked/disliked about the story.

I feel like maybe “Sin For You” underrated. Its my first vmin fic and second fic I wrote/published.

49. Where do you draw inspiration from?

Music mainly, especially from composers like Peter Gundry, Zack Hemsey & Adrien von Ziegler.  Secondly since I am a History & Art major I enjoy doing research about topics of my liking to incorporate in the stories (for example: I had to do A LOT of research for “Forever You Said” regarding Joseon Dynasty, how the world kept changing up until World War I & II era. )

More on Taekook’s bad mood and their fights with Jimin around this dramatic period + 4’Oclock’s LGBTQ movie reference & meaning.

Vmin’s fight:

Around this time while practicing for some tour stops that were still left (so beginning of August at the latest) Tae & Jimin had an absurd fight over dumplings and didn’t speak for 2 entire weeks. This shows how sensitive and prone to conflict they were during this period. In 2020, Tae explains it was due to stress & exhaustion caused by the filming of the drama, and how they ended up making up, with Jimin telling him he wanted to be his support. It seems to be the same talk in which Tae cried to Jimin after opening up about his struggles. This deep talk happened at 4am in the park where Tae started writing his song “4 o’clock” while waiting for Jimin to arrive. This song was later released in mid 2017.

This song has very deep lyrics that we can interpret if we analyze the LGBTQ movie that they reference: 

In the film many of the revelatory moments happened at night - on the beach of course (when the boys have an intimate moment), but also at Juan’s/Blue's house when Little asks questions of him. And Chiron's dream is set at night. Black/Chiron walks around pretending to be tough by day but is sincere and vulnerable under the moonlight.

At night vulnerabilities are exposed as they drop their act. People tend to define you by these aspects of yourself, so you normally hide them to avoid carrying a stigma or being judged. Jimin was someone Tae could confide in when alone under the moonlight. Judging by the song's theme, the hwarang filming might not have been the only issue discussed.

Jikook’s Fight:

During Festa 2020, Jk mentioned he felt very sorry towards Jimin for a fight they had in 2016 – making us think Jk must have been in the wrong. In this fight, Jimin seemed to disagree with Jk’s choices, or behavior, and angrily left the studio. Jk proceeded to roam the streets without a destination in mind, and ended up crying a lot and apologizing to Jimin. Tae called it “the sequel to the dumpling incident” meaning that this happened shortly after & may be linked in various ways:

When Jk specified it happened in the studio on a rainy day, most members still didn’t know about it and asked to elaborate. Members heavily cringing as a reaction indicates that they truly hadn’t heard this story before:

FESTA 2020 - Subunit interviews - Vmin

Hello there~ Now that Festa is over, I can finally breathe and analyse everything. It was a ride for all vminies, that’s for sure!

I want to talk about the Vmin Subunit interview. A lot of very interesting things were said, so buckle up, that will be a long post!

With the song and now the first performance of Chingu, we know that Jimin wanted it to be cute and funny. Everytime they talked about it, they focused on the first part - the one talking about their youth and developing friendship.

Surprisingly (or not), they are very shy about the “let’s-always-stay-together-my-soulmate” part. During the performance, they barely sang it face to face.

When Jimin mentions the “cuteness” of the song, Taehyung says that he did not expect such a lightweight song, and that’s very interesting.

Taehyung said that he expected them to do a “weighty” and “serious” song. Why would a song about a blooming friendship be such a serious matter?

Like always, Jimin’s body language says everything. They surely discussed the question many times : Taehyung prefers serious and romantic songs (Sweet Night being the latest example).

So Taehyung expected to do a serious song about their relationship. But we know that romantic songs between two men are a big no no : Tae’s Christmas Song is still in boxes. Jimin adopted the practical and pragmatic option : doing a lightweight song about youth and friendship, so the song is less controversial. It screams “we’re only good friends”, and at the same time the “soulmate” part is still deep and serious. It surely was the only way to release a song about their relationship without being censored all the way.

That’s why the duality of Chingu is fascinating. It wasn’t “predictable” because even with the cute-friendship-part, it still had the serious-soulmate-part.

About the question “What changed after spending their teenage and twenties together” :

Soulmates at their finest <3 It’s interesting that Jimin mentions patience two times. I remember Jimin’s letter to himself in BV3 :

Be next to people I want to be with Do things I want to do for a long time Do everything I want to do later It will happen at some point

That seems to be Jimin’s philosophy concerning his relationship with Taehyung : be patient. Now is not a good time - in the future they will be able to live peacefully together. One day when this cheer dies down, stay hey You are my soulmate

I think Jimin and Taehyung disagreed on the publicity of their relationship, but they finally accepted the fact that they need to keep it a secret. Taehyung is still out there writing romantic songs about Jimin (and apparently only vminies understand everything *cough* 4 O’Clock *cough*), but nothing is too obvious, because they also keep the distance and friendzone each other all the time.

Okay, that’s incredibly cute. Their relationship has so much more to be, and they want to keep building it stronger than ever. <3

Now let’s talk a moment about 4 O’Clock, shall we. 

Taehyung says that he wrote 4 O’Clock after the park-incident. Jimin acts surprised, like he didn’t know that. He looks right, left, at the camera - he seems shy and avoiding. No wonder why, since 4 O’Clock is an ambiguous romantic song - Jimins wonders if it’s okay to say that in front of the camera.

Taehyung doesn’t understand why Jimin seems to have forgotten that fact, and says that he already told him.

Even if Taehyung already told him, Jimin says he had no idea. He could have honestly forgotten that fact, who knows. To hide his embarrassment, he jokes about the incident, trying to close the subject.

Taehyung surely knows that Jimin wants to avoid the subject in front of the camera, but nonetheless, he repeats it : this is seriously how he wrote that song. Jimin jokes again and repeats “you can’t do this” : you can’t go around revealing things like that Tae!

To end this interview, I really was shocked about the GIANT CUT here. Taehyung was saying “We always say it to each other” - and then he was cut. His answer is edited and we will never know. But us Vminies know that it was something along the lines of I love you or something. It apparently was judged inappropriate by the editors, who cutted to them saying a neutral “Good work”.

Tae’s words are surprising, because the only very unexpected things that were said in this edited interview was the reveal about 4 O’Clock, or more details about the Dumpling incident. Option 1 : Taehyung thought that this information really was unexpected by us Option 2 : they said more things and these things were edited out.

Jimin says that they don’t know how this interview will be edited and published - so they don’t really know which segments were cut. When Vmin talk about their relationship, there’s so much to say and so much to keep secret that it’s delicate.

Aaaaaaand we end this on the famous Vmin-Friendzone-Thingy.

They really want to convince us that they are just some very, very ordinary friends. Jimin could mean by that that even if they’re famous, it’s an ordinary friendship like every other. But we know that their bond is a very special one.

Taehyung’s words could have a double meaning here. It could mean : “We’re just two boys in love. It’s not special. We’re not different than any other people. Don’t find it awkward”. Since Korea is not very open to LGBT+ issues, and there are still improvement to see all over the world on this particular question, it’s a sensitive subject. Taehyung is joking around : yes I have written a romantic song about my best friend, no it’s not weird, yes we like to talk about our relationship, no it’s still not weird.

And voilà, my thoughts about the Vmin interview. These are my personal thoughts, and I do not possess the power to read Tae’s and Jimin’s mind, and I do not know anything about the truth of their relationship. I still hope that you enjoyed this analysis! Have a good day~

Seven Is Our Lucky Number - OT7 Story Chapter 7

Chapter 7: Seven Forever

A/N: Finally, we’ve made it to the last chapter. Finally, the boys are going to be all together.

I wasn’t actually planning for this last chapter to become Taehyung-centric, but it kind of did. It’s sill OT7 though.

A few specific pairings that were requested are NamKook, VMin and JiKook, so I incorperated those. I also did my best to get some interaction between as many pairings as I could, with only a few that I couldn’t fit in, but the next time I write something with everyone, I will include the ones I missed.

Just a quick warning that they tell each other “I love you” an obnoxious amount of times in this, so I sorry not sorry for that. I’m a fluff monster, alright?

The six members of Bangtan eyed their second youngest with wide, shocked eyes and slacked jaws. Namjoon was opening and closing his mouth like a fish as he struggled to produce any words, and everyone would have laughed at the ridiculous expression had the focus not been situated elsewhere.

Taehyung could practically see the wheels turning in their heads as they processed what he’d just told them.

Jungkook, who was still seated next to him on the couch, was the first to recover as he’d had his suspicions for a while. “Hyung...” he started, voice full of amazement. “Hyung...that’s so cool!”

Taehyung was the one to be dumbfounded now. “You...you believe me?”

“Of course!” Jungkook jumped up to kneel on the couch cushion and grabbed at his hyung’s arm excitedly. “We really have a lucky number? That’s sick as fuck!”

Taehyung looked a little relieved at the maknae’s response and then turned to eye the rest of his boyfriends with shy trepidation.

Hoseok grinned, “Kookie’s not wrong - it is pretty sick.”

Namjoon looked contemplative, “It’s still hard to wrap my head around but it is...quite astonishing.”

“Astonishing,” Seokjin repeats in a fond voice, eyeing the leader sat on the couch over. “That’s such a Namjoon thing to say. Fuck, you’re so cute.”

Namjoon, totally not blushing at all, looked away with a dimply smile.

Jimin, still perched in Taehyung’s lap, pouted, “I can’t believe I was so drunk that night I can’t remember such an important event!”

Taehyung chuckled, relieved by his boyfriends’ reactions, and poked Jimin’s pouty lower lip.

“Why didn’t you tell us, Taehyung?” Yoongi questioned.

The second youngest bit his lip, guilt going over him. “I...I didn’t think you’d believe me.” Before anyone could protest, he continued with a shake of his head, “You wouldn’t have. Don’t lie to me. If you guys hadn’t figured out our lucky number for yourselves, you would have thought it was just part of my ‘four-dimensional personality’.”

The air quotes and bitter tint to his voice gave away Taehyung’s familiar insecurities about himself.

“Hey!” Jungkook punched him lightly in the arm and he turned to see the other now pouting as well. “I would have believed you if you told me seriously. You’re unique, hyung. You’re special, and there isn’t anything wrong with that. You know that.”

Taehyung did know that. Each and everyone one of the members had told him that a few years ago when the title alien haunted his thoughts at night and their relationship was still in it’s blooming stage. He’d accepted himself now and the words didn’t usually get to him anymore, but every once in a while - like now - those all too familiar insecurities reared their ugly heads.

“I know,” he reassured genuinely. “I know.”

There was a silence then, as everyone took in everything that had happened in the last hour. Jimin couldn’t help but run his hands all over Taehyung’s body, wanting to scratch that itch of his that begged for him to comfort and show Taehyung just how much he was loved.

A mischievous smirk crawled its way onto Jimin’s lips. “You know,” he began with that buttery tone of his that meant nothing good (or everything good). “We haven’t done anything together, all seven of us, for months. I’d say we’re overdue for a group bonding session.”

Yoongi snorted at Jimin’s words.

Hoseok hummed in agreement, “I miss all of us being together. I guess this can be a celebration of our lucky number!”

No one else looked like they were going to disagree, so Jimin turned back to Taehyung and grabbed his face in his small hands. “I love you, my TaeTae,” he said softly.

“Love you, too,” Taehyung replied before his lips were captured in a sweet, passionate kiss. His hands were on Jimin’s hips, and as the kiss got deeper between them, they slipped up and under his shirt so he could feel Jimin’s baby soft skin.

They separated a short time later, grinning big goofy smiles at each other. When Taehyung looked around, he could see that Yoongi had come over to their couch to give Jungkook sweet kisses, as Namjoon, Seokjin, and Hoseok all took turns pecking each other gently on the lips.

Nothing was sexual, not yet. It was all just pure, tender love that they were showing each other. Though, they all knew that wouldn’t last for long.

“Why don’t we take this upstairs to the bedroom,” Jimin suggested, standing up from Taehyung’s lap and offering his hand to him.

Murmurs and grunts of agreement came from the others and slowly but surely, the seven boyfriends made their way up the stairs and to their special bedroom at the end of the hall on the right.

The bedroom had been renovated so that most of the floor was actually a built-in bed that could hold all seven of them on it with room to spare. They had a small closet and set of drawers that held all of their, ehm, play things, as well as condoms and probably too much lube. A few large, comfortable chairs and couches were scattered around the room as well. Okay so I was rewatching the 2020 FESTA (as one does) and for some reason, when I got to the rainy day incident, I felt like I was really seeing the whole incident for what it’s worth for the first time?

Make no mistake, it’s far from my first time rewatching it (that scene in particular, lord knows how many times I repeated it just to watch all their reactions), but I felt like it was the first time I really took the time to understand it.

If you put the fact that it’s just a story about the past aside, their fight was apparently so bad, it got Jimin of all people pissed enough to throw those kind of words out before turning around and leaving. Mad enough to leave and walk home alone despite the rain and, for all we know, he might not even have had an umbrella with him.

So what happens next? Some time during his walk back, Jimin gets a phone call from Jeongguk. And the first thing he says?

From Jimin’s estimation, the walk between the dorms and the practice rooms takes about 20 mins. Even the area near the practice rooms should have been somewhat familiar to him, so how on earth could he not have known where he was? There’s only one answer that I can think of (y’all are welcome to share your thoughts on this): soon after JM left, instead of staying in the practice rooms, JK likely ran after JM, but he got lost instead since he couldn’t have known where JM was headed. So he was literally running around in the rain, trying to find JM only to give up after a few minutes and call instead.

Jin was right, this is definitely straight out of a drama. “Two people have an explosive fight that leads to one of them leaving in a fit of anger. It’s raining. Soon after their departure, the other quickly runs after them, but not knowing where they went, they run around randomly in the hopes of finding them. When they can’t, they can only call.” The script writes itself.

We all know what happens next: JK flags a taxi, gives the driver JM’s location while JM waits for him in the rain. When JK gets off the cab, they have a very dramatic reunion. The end.

Or is it?

I personally have so many feels and questions about the whole situation. What was the fight about? How did it end? I mean, I can just imagine JK, soaked and completely miserable, sitting in that taxi, quietly sniffling as he does his damn best to stop the tears. But the second he sees JM waiting for him under the rain, it’s like a dam breaking. This isn’t even really a far fetched guess given what we’ve seen in the past...

I personally don’t really have any speculations about what the fight was about because 4-5 years ago is vague enough to make it near impossible to narrow it down, not to mention how it’s probably impossible to guess (take vmin mandu incident for example, no one saw that coming).

Please feel free to share your thoughts, I’m curious about what you guys think.

EDIT: just to add onto this, we also need a moment to think about how, despite being mad enough to storm off in the rain, JM was still ready to pick up JK’s call? I really think JM has a soft spot the size of the Milky Way for JK given how it seems like it took him less than one hour to let the whole incident go. I have no idea if he forgave JK right then and there but I mean, if I was really pissed at my friend, I don’t think I would have waited for them in the rain nor would I have hugged them when we met. I’d probs 1) ignore their call, and 2) tell them to leave me alone and go wherever they need to be.

BTS in London - Concert report

I’m back from London and two amazing concert days! I also bought a lot of merchandise, both from the BT21 and BTS pop-up stores as well as concert merch. The lines were of course really long. The one for the BTS pop-up store went around the whole block, and for the concert it was also in direct sunlight so it got extremely hot. But in the end I got a lot of nice things (mainly clothes and a Van pillow) so I can’t really complain.

I wanted to write a concert report, mostly for my own sake. But I will share it here, in case someone would like to read about my thoughts regarding the Wembley concerts.

DAY 1

For the concert itself the first day we were there around 10 am to stand in line for the merch, so then we had a lot of time to pass before the actual concert. But it was great to not have to stress, especially compared to O2 last year when the floor tickets were open so we had to stand in line all day to ensure we got good spots.

This year on the first day we also had floor seats but like I said, this time all of them were numbered (we had C3 seats), so again really nice to not have to stress. We didn’t get as close as last year, but we saw them pretty well when they went out to the podium stage and the energy there was great. 

I must say, Dionysus as opening was just incredible. Even though it was hard to see the main stage from where we were the energy of the song just caught the whole stadium and the set and music just fills you up with excitement.

Then they kept going with Not today and Wings, which were incredible to hear live. Wings was added from last year and I loved it. It was a perfect concert song that actually got me a bit emotional. Wings was my first BTS album, so in a way those songs hold a special place in my heart.

Also, for their introductions you could tell all the boys have all practiced so hard on their English. And JK of course seemed really eager to give back for last year (even though it obviously wasn’t his fault). He was bouncing around like crazy with so much energy pretty much the whole concert.

Just dance is such a bop and the audience was amazing for the song, chanting J-hope’s name and it was just really fun. For Euphoria I didn’t expect Kookie to get up in the air, but again, just amazing to get to see him do it the way he would have wanted to last year.

Then followed Best of me! Which is also a personal favorite song of mine so I jumped a lot to it. It’s a good thing we had chairs and could sit down for the intermissions.

Then it was Namjoon and Jimin’s solos, and they did well even though Jimin’s bubble didn’t want to burst. Jimin also sang some parts live, which he didn’t really do last year so that was really nice.

I filmed some for Trivia: Love, but my camera is not that good so mostly I just decided to not use my phone at all and rather just enjoy being so close to the boys. I feel some people were filming pretty much the whole time, and personally I wouldn’t recommend that as you won’t be able to take in the experience the same way when you film. (My sister took some more videos and photos though, so I might share them if I get them from her.)

Namjoon was really up close during his solo, and man does he have a stage presence. Then the walk back on the runway before Boy with luv, and Vmin’s hug! The stadium went pretty wild. Boy with Luv was fun as well, especially since we all sang along to it. Then followed the medley of Dope/Babsae and Fire which were super fun to dance and sing along to.

Then came IDOL and the hype got real! I mean, I think IDOL was probably the song that had the audience pumped the most. Last year it was the starting song, but I personally think it worked even better and got more hype this way a bit further into the concert. The intro was enough to just have us all jumping.

For Singularity I mostly watched the screen since he was pretty far away (and I also had a pretty tall girl in front of me). But just listening to Tae, who actually sang big parts of the song live this time was great.

Fake Love of course got us all waiving our Army Bombs with the chant! Also, people really screamed for JK’s abs… Haha.

Now, I must say, the background for Seesaw was amazing. It looked so good and created the perfect atmosphere for the song. For me, together with Just dance and Euphoria, I felt Seesaw really stood out amongst the solo songs this time and I was pretty much just mesmerized by Yoongi.

Epiphany was also great, and Jin really is an incredible singer, but personally as it was pretty much one of the highlights for me last year I thought the arrangement, sound and the stage was better last time. Still great, and leading up to the emotional The truth untold. I had a hard time looking away from Jimin, he kept turning around as if to cough, and you could tell that again he was really emotional during the performance. I just hope he didn’t have a hard time.

For Tear, man…. I don’t know what to say except the auras of rapline for this song are unreal. And their outfits look amazing. I couldn’t have looked away even if I wanted to. And then followed by Mic Drop it’s just such a high on adrenaline, jumping up and down and singing along.

Then it was time for the boys to speak, and again, you can just tell they have practiced so hard on their English. Everyone but Yoongi was almost entirely in English. I felt so proud and happy to hear them try so hard to be able to communicate with ARMY. They were all so happy and it was easy to tell that coming to Wembley meant a lot to them. Jin with his Bohemian Rhapsody chant and Jimin’s ARMY~! shouts were both really cute and funny. I felt a bit bad for Taehyung though, because it felt like people had some trouble hearing him. They all seemed pretty emotional, and for JK when he started apologizing for last year it was just so good to hear that he could feel happy about the concerts this time. Hobi seemed really moved by the audience, which I can understand because honestly for both days I would say the reactions he got were some of the best. It must have been overwhelming. For Namjoon it was also cute how he got this strange almost British accent when speaking. His speech about UK being a wall was also really impactful and made me feel proud to be an ARMY.

The sea of purple and then rainbow ARMY bombs was also really touching and beautiful. The concert then ended with Mikrokosmos, which of course gave us all some cute Vmin interactions. Though I must admit that Love Myself as an ending song last year was much more emotional for me personally, even though I really love Mikrokosmos as a song. The fireworks were also pretty impressive together with the music.

Then when the music and end credits ended it was time to head home, and it was really fun because even outside people were waving their ARMY bombs around. The amount of people was truly crazy. I went to the G-Dragon concert at the arena next to Wembley two years ago, and the difference in people is just staggering. It took a full hour to walk from the stadium to the train station. And that was the end of the first concert day!

DAY 2

Now the second day we got there much later since we already had merch, and it was nice to feel so rested despite us having been drained on energy the previous day thanks to the concert. This time we had stands but still pretty good spots. Of course it was a lot easier to see and follow everything going on from further away, and with less people in front of you, so that was nice. I also had a chance to film and take more photos on the second day. I won’t go through the songs here, because most of what I thought and felt was really similar to day 1.

It was nice that the bubble worked for Jimin in Serendipity and I also didn’t expect to see Vmin in So What, so that was a nice surprise. The hug between Jimin and Hobi was also really cute.

After Boy with luv on the second day the boys were having fun joking about Harry Potter and making different “spells”. Seeing Jin stupefy JK was really funny. And Namjoon’s “Shut up Malfoy!” had us all cracking up. I love it when they bring up old memes of themselves.

Now, the really huge difference between the first and second day, besides our seats, was of course the end ment and also the surprise ARMY had for BTS. I must also say that at least to me, the audience seemed to be more on and more hyper on day two. We kept doing the wave even during the waits, and the screams were louder and the chants more clear. So I am really glad I got to experience both days.

The ending ment started with us doing the wave, and the rainbow sea at the end is so pretty. Taehyung said it was beautiful and that it would always be in his heart, and I don’t know why but that really struck a chord with me. Jimin also patted his shoulder at that moment. I don’t know, I was just more emotional in general the second day. Then Namjoon told him he was in the wrong place so he moved away to his usual side on the stage.

The audience was really good and chanted every members name as they spoke. They all also seemed pretty emotional already, and knowing we were about to sing Young Forever (a song I know is special to them) I expected to see tears. They were so confused at first, and some ARMY also started to sing the song a bit early, but the effect it had on them was clear. The shock and emotion from the members as they realized what was happening was just amazing to see. I got really emotional too of course, especially seeing JK, Jimin and Hobi getting pretty overwhelmed and crying. It was a beautiful moment and I don’t think BTS or the ARMY there will ever forget it.

As the song ended they all thanked us again, this time most of them were unable to do so in Korean, probably too overwhelmed to even form sentences properly. You could really feel their love and how much they appreciated the song. As mikrokosmos came on their singing was very unstable and notes all over the place. They were clearly still very shaken after Young Forever. Jimin didn’t seem to be able to focus on much except ARMY and Tae walked over to comfort him during their part in the song. It was a really sweet moment. Then the fireworks went of and the members started saying goodbye and it was all over for real. A really really emotional ending and a memory I will never forget.

So, in total it was two amazing concerts and I am so happy I was lucky enough to get tickets for both days. I haven’t watched the vlive version of day 1 yet, but I am so happy it exists so that I can relieve that day again.

For me the songs that really stood out this time was hype songs like Dionysus, Fire, Bapsae, Idol, So what and Mic Drop. As well as Wings, Just Dance, Euphoria, Seesaw and the whole ending with Make it right and Mikrokosmos.

The sound of the huge stadium and reverb made it a little difficult for me to hear well at times (especially on the floor), but over all it was two really great concert days!

BONUS

Also, every time I go to London I try to stay close to China Town since I love the food. I basically only eat Japanese and Korean when I am in London. And there is this one Korean BBQ restaurant we always go to, and so we went there to book a table for our last day. Imagine my surprise when we I checked and saw that JK and Jimin had went to that restaurant to eat on the same day we went there to book our table. So close and yet so far! When we went there I also managed to get a picture of their autographs. Seems like Jin had also been there since they had his autograph as well. When we ate there they also played a lot of BTS, so it was pretty much the perfect end to our BTS weekend in London. <3
