I have not kept it a secret that this semester commuting has been really rough on me. By the time I get home in the middle of the afternoon even if I only had to sit in a hour and a half lecture I feel like an overcooked noodle. And the mornings aren't any easier, my anxiety has been spiking a lot lately, and that messes me up completly, and it's particularly hard on my stomach. Let's just say it's a very demanding period of my life both physically and emotionally and I have been doing my best to get through it with ups and downs, but most importantly by trying to properly take care of myself. I decided to compile a list of small things that have been helping me, both for future reference as well as for people who might be dealing with similar issues.
Prep everything I can the night before. I don't leave the house until more or less mid morning since my class is on lunch time more or less (and this will come up again), so I do have time to do stuff in the morning, but if I have already put everything I need in my backpack, picked an outfit for the day and checked that I have my bus ticket the night before I can have a much calmer morning. Having a calm morning is fundamental for me on any day, so especially when I have a stressful and energy demanding day ahead I want to make sure I don't have to rush, and here is my second point.
Try to have a morning as calm as possible before I have to leave. I am a morning person so I wake up quite early which means I have plenty of time to take it easy. And this means drink my tea as I read my book, prep the last few things I need, like my waterbottle, eat (on which I'll have a later point). Overall my morning before leaving needs to be slow and mostly made of things for myself so again my precious reading time, listening tocmusic as I get ready to get in a better mood and so on.
Taking my meds regularly. It's the logical thing to do, if I am in a period in which my anxiety is worse than usual the number one goal is to be consistent with meds, they are there to help me even if sometimes I forget that.
Finding ways to enjoy food when anxiety fucks up my stomach. What happens is that as soon as I have an anxiety spike for some reason I get very nauseous, which is terribly by itself and it gets worse when it makes me struggle to enjoy my food. But I found a couple of ways to work around that in the past few weeks. Eating when I am away from home is much worse so what I do is embrace the little hobbit in me and have more meals when I am at home, and just bring some snacks on the road if I need them. That means I have two breakfasts before I have to leave the house, the last being a bit more filling. And then when I get home no matter how tired I am or what time it is I cook something for myself, something simple, but I take the time to make something good that fills me up and makes me happy. Because having a full stomach does improve your mood belove me. When I am on the road I bring some lighter snacks that can help me if I feel like I need to have something but that will also work well if I have a spike in anxiety and correlated nausea. I usually eat some homemade bread while I walk from the bus stop to my uni, and then snack on some nuts while I wait for the lecture. And I always have an emergency sweet treat in my backpack because that is something that I actually do on a regular basis. This thing has been working very well, I have had less problems with my stomach acting up, and I am definitely getting all the nutrients I need during the day, just at times that are a bit different from my normal routine.
Bring tea with me. It's something I never did before but it's becoming the one thing I won't give up. I either make a green tea or an herbal tea that I drink before the lecture, and it's been so good for me both physically and mentally. It's been super cold so the warm treat is really needed, but most importantly it's been very comforting and calming, so shutout to my dad for suggesting that.
Having little things to look out for during the commute. This mostly consists of me listing to podcasts, and re:dracula has been of great company in my commutes last year so it's nice it's become a bit of a tradition. It's just good for me not to associate commuting with negative things, so now I just percieve it as poscast time which makes it much much better. This also includes texing friends when I feel like I can look at the screen of my phone without getting car sick (again when anxiety messes me up I can get random car sickness), that's good to keep my mind off things and make the commute feel lighter.
Total relax when I get home. Which sometimes means lying in bed with a cup of tea and nothing more. If I have enough brain power I might read a comic, or play stupid midless games on my tablet for a bit. Honestly just things that need as little energy and brainpower as possible because by that time I do not have much energy or brainpower left, and it's okay. I normally use up a lot of energy when going out and it this period of time all tasks require I use even more energy. I can't do much about it other than accept it and do my best to tke care of myself.

Introduction
Hi Everyone! My name is Lilla (nicknamed Lilu) and this is my studyblr!
I had a similar blog around 2019 but deleted it as I no longer used it (great mistake), and as now I am restaring university this year I want to be part of this motivating community again.
Here are some semi-interesting facts about me:
I have a kitty cat who will be featured a lot in this blog as he loves to take a nap on my laptop right as i start studying or working :')
I already applied to and studied at many universities, but dropped out as i did not know what i wanted to do with my life
i am constantly trying to balance my health, education, work and relationships, so this blog is an ode to my struggles :)
When I am out of motivation I love to rewatch legally blonde :3
uuuh
my favorite season is autumn as i love to be cozy, make soups and crochet just like a grandma
i like to listen to jazz 🐝 and lofi while i work
and Skyrim pomodoro while i study
As i mentioned before i created this blog to get back to when i lack motivation, which means i also need to follow y'all, you beautiful dedicated academic weapons!!!
And to be able to do that please interact with this post in some way so i can follow you :)
i follow through my main @oatmeallover
Thanks, bye☆

“Don't look at me like I’m basic” (Byun Baekhyun, 2024)
✨💙 hello! you can call me chu (๑>◡<๑)
I’m a 29 year old woman from Brazil who loves to read, to write and to study. My main hobby is to learn foreign languages and so far I’ve studied English, Spanish, German, Italian and French. I'm a Korean langblr (beginner level) and a studyblr of Comparative Philosophy. I have a homemade scented candle company, so I’m also a workblr most of the time.
I reblog a lot of posts about my favorite group of all time: EXO, and also about my favorite members (Sehun, Kyungsoo and Baekhyun), but you can also see other Korean artists here. I'm a huge anime fan, so you'll definitely see stuff from One Piece, Naruto (mostly Sasusaku) and a lot of content from my biggest emotional support: Studio Ghibli. I also love playing Stardew Valley and I've been a Harry Potter fan since I was 7 years old (Ravenclaw here).
Although I’m currently doing a productivity challenge, my mental health is always my biggest priority because I struggle with anxiety, depression, skin picking disorder and OCD. Recently I completed a 100 days challenge for my mental healthcare and you can check these posts by following #100 days of mental healthcare or my personal tag #chu diaries.
Overall, I see this blog as a safe place where I can truly be myself 💙✨

I've given this blog a makeover... more than one too many times. Unfortunately, I have no regrets and I'm gonna do it again. Here's my cutesy lil' intro post!
(NOTE: I did delete a whole bunch of posts except ones that were either popular or just generally good memories LOL.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi there! My name's Justice. I'm a high school sophomore living in the U.S. and originally, I made this blog for two purposes: 1.) encouraging myself to study more and 2.) finding out more about myself through blogging.
I keep saying that I'm gonna start actually blogging, but I never do. I've made myself a schedule now, though, so if I don't end up posting then @petrifiedlark has full permission to beat me over the head with a cool stick they find.
Tumblr media
basic info about me ~ !
justice (she/her - cishet)
hs sophomore (a.k.a. i'm a minor, y'all!)
korean-american!
writer & poet
i play violin and piano. i am terrible at both.
i want to be a psychiatrist!
other things to know ~ !
main tags include #studyblr and #bookblr but i do occasionally do silly posts!
when i'm trying to get back into my habit, i'm probably gonna stick to only posting my own content; but if i get used to doing my own thing enough then i'll start reblogging more stuff LOL
ALWAYS looking for book recs!
feel free to talk to me whenever! i love making new friends 💛
DNI - The regular list, obviously. But I also don't feel comfortable with anything overly violent or sexual, or making too much reference to substance abuse (you decide what "overly" and "too much" mean.)
Tumblr media
thank you for reading 💛 enjoy your stay!

Tips for Studying Cybersecurity
I created this post for the Studyblr Masterpost Jam, check out the tag for more cool masterposts from folks in the studyblr community!
Getting started in cybersecurity involves learning a lot of concepts and techniques from all across tech, from networking to operating systems. After that, there's a lot of security-specific tools and knowledge to absorb as well. This post focuses on some of the big things that helped me as I've studied for certifications over the past few years.
Memorizing Acronyms
There are a ton of acronyms used in cybersecurity - if you're studying for the Security+ certification, there are about 300 acronyms that you're expected to understand, and a lot get thrown around while you're on the job. It can sound overwhelming, but my two main strategies are 1) make and use flashcards (I use Anki) and 2) take the time to learn what the thing behind the acronym actually is. The ones that confused me most were always the acronyms for a protocol or something where I didn't actually know what the protocol did.
Memorizing Tool Usage & Command Line Options
How do you specify the target architecture in msfvenom? Which nmap option starts a TCP connect scan? If you're on the tech side of security and not governance, or if you're just studying for certifications, a lot of them will ask you to use command line tools and therefore memorize some of the most common options. The best way to learn these is to just practice using the tool! Anki can be helpful if there's a lot that you have to memorize to pass an exam, but practicing with the tool is a more interesting and memorable experience.
Also, it's not the end of the world if you can't remember everything - manpages exist for a reason! Memorizing common flags and options just lets you work faster, and eventually you'll memorize the most important ones just by using the tool.
Memorizing Common Protocols & Port Numbers
More foundational knowledge here - this is important for entry-level certifications and just being able to interpret things on the job. This is just memorization again, so 1) create a flashcard deck and 2) make sure you know what the protocol actually does. It's harder to remember that IMAP over TLS is on port 993 if you don't know what IMAP or TLS is - build up those connections in your brain!
Understanding Complex Protocols, Processes, and Attacks
When you're trying to learn about network protocols (TCP, HTTPS, etc.), encryption algorithms (Diffie-Hellman, etc.), or the process of a specific attack, sketch a diagram! Draw it out and get as specific as you need. Keep trying until you can break the process down into tiny steps and explain it from memory.
When studying attack chains, you can make use of Mitre ATT&CK to note the different techniques used at different stages. Professional write-ups do this too, so it's a great way to practice.
Organizing your Notes
If you're studying for a GIAC certification, the tried-and-true strategy for passing the exam is to organize your notes and make an index - essentially a giant table of contents for all of the course material that you can search through very easily. GIAC exams are open-note, but there's an enormous amount of material in each course and you don't have time during the exam to search through the book for every question.
Lesley Carhart has a great write-up on their process that's worth a read - this is one of the resources that SANS.edu advisors point students to!
If you're studying for an exam that isn't open-note, making an index can still be helpful, especially if you keep your notes around for later reference. It's also a good way to review and find topics that you need to put a bit more time into.
The tl;dr here is:
Make flashcards for anything that you need to memorize. Use a spaced repetition tool like Anki that will let you study in short bursts over a long period of time, because cramming won't help in the long run.
Get your hands dirty! Practice the labs or sample problems, play with the tools, and experiment.
Keep good notes. It's very easy to feel a sense of information overload in cybersecurity, so having a system that lets you store information outside of your brain but still access it quickly is key.
If you have any questions about how I handle a specific topic or studied something, feel free to send me an ask!

Introduction post
Hello there, welcome to my blog! ツ
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Basics:
- My name is Ina (ee-n-uh)
- I'm 20 years old
- Starting my junior year of college in October, majoring in special education and rehabilitation of deaf and hard of hearing people
- English is not my native language, so if posts regarding my studies are confusing, it's because educational systems (curriculums, how is a certain profession organised and its theory used in practise...) are vastly different between countries, especially when talking about special education.
What is this blog?
So, for now it's a commonplace book or a digital journal made of all the things that I think would be helpful in achieving my goals. Whether it's study tips, book recommendations, music playlists, motivational mood boards, quotes, pretty pictures it can all be found here, as well as my thoughts and updates on personal challenges (study, productivity, maintaining healthy habits etc).
Honestly, not sure yet. I wanted to make a studyblr, because my first priority now and in the next few years will be getting my bachelor and masters degree, as well as finding a job in my filed. Of course none of that is possible if I don't put effort and care into other aspects of my life, so I thought why not make it a some kind of a self-care blog, but realised that I don't know what would I even post and how I would do it.
Why am I starting this blog?
Currently my life is a mess, all the bits and pieces of it are scattered around and I am trying to pick what I have, connect it into some barely functioning thing and continue on to grow from there.
I want to work on making my life more better and enjoyable, on accepting and loving myself, on growing and improving every single day.
Also I've always admired all the study blogs out there. Everyone seems so genuinely kind and willing to give out tips and hacks about anything. I have always wanted to be a part of such community, thinking that this will help me stay disciplined and consistent with my work.
Things I wanna work on (I'll probably make separate post for this):
- self-discipline
- incorporating healthier habits into my everyday life (there will also be separate post for this)
- increasing productivity not just regarding my studies
- reading more books (for enjoyment)
- getting out of the comfort zone, being more spontaneous, making memories (with friends and alone), doing things just for the hell fun of it
- learning more skills/languages (for now I want to become fluent in my third language - French, as for skills I would love to enroll in a self-defence or dance class or both)
- getting work experience, I would love to and have to volunteer with organisations from my field in order to have something on my work resume besides a degree and get familiar with my line of future profession
- enjoying my youth, the moments I'm living in right now, being more thankful for everything that i have
...
Interests:
Besides my studies and future line of work
- reading (romance novels, poetry and classics)
- the biggest Hunger games and Suzane Collins fan, everlark stan for life
- listening to music (currently favourite Hozier, the Killers, James Arthur, Lord Huron, Kacey Musgraves, my native pop and folk music) while imagining fake scenarios
- watching TV shows (b99, himym, the good place, the new girl, friends, bridgerton and currently favourite my lady jane)
- now realising that I really need to get into more things besides media consumption
Study, life and aesthetic blogs that I admire and that inspire me:
* @studyblrmasterposts
* @studyblr
* @emmastudies
* @peachblossomstudy
* @starrystvdy
* @helenstudies
* @study-core-101
* @zzzzzestforlife
* @luciaslifesblog
* @malusokay
* @flowerhope
* @agirlwithglam
These are just some of them, if you are also a new studyblr don't hesitate to reach out to me I'd love to be mutuals
I'm still not sure about the main structure of this blog I guess in the near future I'll be posting daily updates as a part of some challenge (100 days of productivity or 30 days of discipline). I'll see so just bare with me 😅
Tags: I'll add as I create them on the go
Purple Van Gogh header is from @vysleix and pastel pink ribbons are from @saradika-graphics
If you made it to here and followed me know that I appreciate you and you have just become my beloved tumblrarian/mutual 🤍😌😘
date of the first intro post: 8th of September 2024.

hello! i had a studyblr in 2019 and then the pandemic happened and i lost any kind of motivation and productivity skills. hoping to resolve that and power through this year :D
about me —
i’m jo! she/her, aquarius. i go to school in the southern usa as a second-year molecular cellular biology undergrad. mostly here for some outside accountability and to make it through the semester without dying. academic weapon era incoming 🙂‍↕️ (about page)
blog stuff —
i have classes (currently still stuck in GenEd hell) every day with lots of work for each, so hopefully i’ll be able to post consistently! i’ve also been trying to read more lately, so i might post about books i’ve finished from time to time. just kinda going off vibes here! (feel like i should clarify that this is a sideblog! my main is here)
other —
i play some video games in my free time, mostly valorant (which is not something i’m proud of) but also minecraft and the sims. i’ve also started to get into stardew valley but i’m somehow really bad at it. other than that i love group studying—if i’m not in class, doing homework, or gaming, i’m usually at the library with other people—and hanging out with my friends <3

Studyblr Intro
Hello, there! I have been a long-time lurker in the studyblr community, and I decided that It's about time I joined in on the fun! This is a sideblog that I am revamping to use for study-related content. I am currently taking a few summer classes at my community college, and I'd like to use this blog to keep myself motivated.
About me:
He / Him
Undergraduate first year (I started in spring)
Currently 20, but will be turning 21 in August
I live in New England (America)
Currently pursuing a Liberal Arts Degree with a Math Focus
I am hoping to go into a math-related career. At the moment, forensic accounting interests me, but I am definitely open to other things.
Interests and Hobbies:
Drawing
Crochet
Cooking & Baking
Video Games (Stardew Valley, BOTW & TOTK, and Minecraft, mostly)
I'd like to get into reading, but that has been slow going
Goals:
Stay on top of my classwork
Get above an 80% in all of my classes
Be able to spend more time on my interests and hobbies
Make some friends, hopefully
What to expect:
I'd love to give a tangible list of what to expect, but this is also the first blog that I will be making (hopefully consistent) personal posts to ever. It'll be as much a surprise to you as to me. You can probably expect a lot of reblogs, some to do lists, photos, and maybe some hobby-related posts.
Studyblrs that inspire me:
@noodledesk @study-coffee-chicago @the---hermit @why-the-heck-not @beforeiread-studies @caramelcuppaccino @frithams @learnelle @luthiest @oneanxiousstudybuddy @lexdiscipula @teacherstudiies @ben-learns-smth @chemblrish @studiousliz
((And a couple others following my main account (@hellbentsunday): @honeyteastudies @cupsnpages @savemygrades ))
While this blog is partly about motivation, I hope than I can also make some good friends! This community is super friendly, and I'd love to get in on some of that.
Thanks for reading!
((I'll be tagging my posts as #math marks.))

writeblr reintroduction 🗝️
hi! call me elle (she/they). i'm a 30 y/o writer & i follow from @prettytothink-so! i'm also studying for my MA in english, focusing on literature, and plan to eventually write my thesis on haunted house literature. my main functions as a bit of a studyblr, bookblr, life-blog combo, but most of my posts live here.
i write fiction characterized by horror & gothic themes. i write about relationships, families, and found families, and characters in my work go through exquisite and grotesque things, including body horror, hauntings, broken and warped time, eroticism, nightmares, eco-horror, and possessions. my work is nsfw and 18+ due to horror, violence, and sex.
i'm always open to ask and tag games! if you're interested in my wips, see below the cut. i'd love to get to know other writers, esp if you write/read any of the following:
horror and gothic literature
body horror, eco-horror, nightmares, and dream logic
dysfunctional families (found and of-origin) and their dynamics
romance, including sex, and relationships, esp. in horror themes
i also write poetry, characterized by confessional themes and centered on the body. as you might notice, my blog is not particularly minor-friendly, and i try not to follow minors (and will likely unfollow you if i do so by accident). current primary WIPs under the cut!

end of the year study masterlist
I have made this kind of post a few times in the past. I have lots to keep in mind and although I do have very specific to-do lists in my bullet journal I like to have a big list on here too to make me feel accountable. This helps me having a clear overview of everything I have to do and the progress I am making. I will be crossing things off as I complete tasks, and I will probably add more tasks every once in a while. This is meant to be a sort of preparation for winter exams to do list, I haven't given myself deadlines yet, but the more I get done soon the better. I also want to keep in mind that I am still doing the self care journey 3.0 with my friend @oneardentstudybuddy, so productivity is the goal here but I still need to keep an eye out to avoid burning myself out, and take time in my days to actively take care of myself.
English lit: this whole list has now been deleated because I decided to move my exam from January to April, so I will be working on all this stuff after my winter exam session.
History of enlightment philosophy:
finish attending lectures (and stay on track with fixing my notes everyday)
additional post-holiday lectures 1, 2, 3, 4
finish reading book #2
read book #3 (since it's digital see if I need to write down some notes while reading it)
reread important passages in books (1,2,3)
notes of the main points of each book (1,2,3)
highlight presentation notes
big reread of all notes
list of key words
review out loud (1,2)
practice answering exam questions out loud
Power practices and men theories in the modern era:
reread and highlight lecture notes
fix notes by adding the infos I originally annotated on the texts
read and annotate book (intro, ch1, ch2, ch3, ch4, ch5, ch6, ch7, ch8, ch9)
write down list of key words
review out loud (1, 2, 3)
make sure to check all the images and pictures that were discussed in the lectures because they could come up during the exam
guest lecture stuff:
brain dump
get back all my thesis diaries and other tumblr posts where I talk about my experiece in detail to see if there's useful elements to talk about
guide lines to have a coherent speech
rehearse or smt idk

Hello! I wanted to make a poll asking my fellow langblrs/studyblrs what language/test should I focus on the latter half of 2024! Penny for your thoughts? (I'm promise this is not one of those infamous "what language should I learn?" posts)
The main reason for this poll is I'm moving to South Korea next year to study abroad. I don't really have to worry about Korean as I've passed TOPIK 6 and that is in effect for another year. Since I'm going to be a busy undergrad, I'm afraid I won't be able to focus on my language studies as much as I want to so I'm trying to see what should I focus on while I can.
Background info: I have passed JLPT N3 equivalent in Japanese. I'm studying for a diploma in pali. I've also passed HSK 4 in Chinese but the certificate is nullified. I'm thinking if I should renew my HSK certificate by studying for HSK 5/6 (I can pass HSK 5 with very little effort) or just focus solely on getting JLPT N2 since I already got a N3 certificate this year. I can also do both but I'm afraid it would be ill-advised, hence the poll.
Logically, both JLPT and HSK will work in my favor in South Korea for obvious reasons. But to be honest, I don't really care about what works out well in a resume. I'm just in a time-crunch since I also have to pass my diploma in Pali (that one's non-negotiable because if I pass my diploma, I can start attending Bachelor classes and I want to get a degree in Pali so bad.) So I just wanna get some perspectives or thoughts on this!
thank you so much!!! :D

day nine: what is the worst thing about studyblr in your opinion?
i think while studyblr has a great community where they welcome people regardless of their age or study, users can be subject to a lot of comparison. even though that is common on any social media platform, studyblr seems to operate in a way that shows success stories while sugarcoating failures, which can be harmful.
there's been a lot of irl acquaintance drama recently!!!! shock! horror! i also went through my backlog of tag games on my main lmfao
lots of notion pics because i dont have much else aesthetic sorry ;-; please let me know what you think of the (slightly new) format! itll likely change more this week :]

Hello everyone, this is Ali
Nice to meet you all! I’m very new to the studyblr community, I tried to make a side blog quite a few years ago but I felt the account lacked purpose, so I deleted it. But now I’m in my junior year, and I wanted to truly have a corner for myself to be inspired and maybe even do the same for others. I’ll mostly reblog, but I’ll post here and there. My hobbies are:
Knitting (and currently learning crochet too)
Writing
Reading
Moon Journaling (I can explain in another post if you want)
Chaos witchcraft (I’m also an Apollo devotee) and tarot
Blending teas and tasting fascinatingly delicious concoctions
FASHIONN I love dark academia style but with jewel and colorful tones
Daydreaming and feeling like a main character
Cuddling with my cat Aelin
My new hashtag is #colorfulacademia and if you’d like to be moots I can do follow x follow! I’m a social potato on dms but once I start talking I love to ramble about my hiperfixations 🤍
