hi guys this is my rambly post abt my experience at vidcon this year if anyone wants to read abt it! overall i wanna say that it was absolutely incredible and i def wanna go back next yearr

DAY 1: check in! literally nothing youtube related happened this day but it was fun as hell to check out the venue and meet up with my friends

DAY 2: smosh meet and greet day. holy shit. in the morning was anthony's ISADW matpat panel and besties when i tell you i was worried he wouldn't be there until I SAW HIM WITH MY TWO EYES. but incredibly he does exist? and he DID show up to vidcon? the panel was such a blast and it was interesting to hear about how the past few months have been for matpat. it was also just cool as hell knowing the rest of smosh was waiting right behind the curtain 🥹 and we could see nicole off to the side enjoying the panel. also shout out to @smoshkidtv who i got to meet before the panel and is legit the greatest i love them sm ok ty

then, almost right after, there's a post on socials that's like "get to the M&G early if you want free essentials merch!" so ofc me and a few friends BOOK it up to the M&G line and are prepared to sit and wait for like 4h lmao. we pass the time by watching smosh the movie and it goes by surprisingly quickly. after being moved into the official queue it's really not that long before smosh shows up and the nerves HIT. luckily we did show up early enough for the merch (smh for 4h we better have lmaoo) and it was so cool to talk to some of the crew (kiana/erica) passing it out. then the whole smosh cast comes out. weirdly the FIRST person i saw was marcus lmao but it was great to see him (and his eyebrows) in person.

then the second pose was more of a surprise for @yourinterestisnotcringe hehe. we brought out a potato plush for ian to hold and he was too fuckin cute about it. he was absolutely charmed by the idea of the lil potato plush and i love this pose that he went for lmao

DAY 3: panel day! we get there early as FUCK bc we have a Plan(tm) and need to be in the front row to execute it lmao. like 10 months ago we had the plan for a bunch of us to dress as that damn neighbor at vidcon and damn it, we WENT for it.

also here's ian and anthony (and damien lol) shouting us out at the beginning of the panel

the panel itself was a ton of fun! it was a live reading of reddit stories and one of them was NUTS. it was such a blast to receive a live update tbh. then RIGHT after the reddit panel ended, we had to book it upstairs to get seats for the smosh mouth panel.

I don't remember a ton from this one other than them talking about boobs for most of it. also !! krungle is returning!! i'm so fuckin excited i'd die for krungle i can't wait to have her back. also anthony was sitting on the ground off to the side of the panel and i made awkward eye contact w him a few times lol. i am also honestly bummed that ian wasn't the guest for this one, but spencer and angela were great and they really just goofed off for an hour, it was a fun time.

DAY 4: the last day of vidcon </3 there wasn't a ton on the schedule today regarding smosh, but i DID have a slot for the mari meet and greet so i made sure to go check that out and ?? holy shit ALL of OGSoG was there 🥺 i had actually met them before at a con years ago and it was so wild to see them again, i really didn't think i'd be able to. this meet and greet was SO much more chill than smosh just based on nerves. these 4 were honestly so sweet and the vibes were so fuckin goofy it was lovely ♡ also who's gonna tell joven that this isn't a heart

then we had the mythical kitchen panel! it was a lot of fun even tho i only rly knew trevor and josh oop. trevor was such a sweetheart and stayed after at the end to take some pics and i got one with him on my fuckin 3DS lmao. i love the crunch of this pic, it's one of my faves from the weekend tbh. also i pray to GOD that he wears this hoodie again. he looks so good in pink

The last thing Beomgyu expected to see when walking into the living room after getting the popcorn for the 'annual bestie movie night' was you knocked out on Yeonjuns shoulder. Kai and Soobin were giggling over it and elbowing each other before pointing at Beomgyu as well.

"Hyung stole your date!" Soobin snorted as he covered his mouth to stay quiet, not wanting to wake you up with his laughter.

"Shut up!" Beomgyu retorted at a whisper, bringing his arm up into a fake punching motion. Taehyun chuckled a bit at the scene as he focused back onto picking something to watch.

Then with touch almost as light as a feather, Beomgyu cupped a hand carefully around the side of your head where it rested on Yeonjun. Very slowly, he gently moved your head until it was on his shoulder instead before sticking his tongue out at Yeonjun.

Once he made sure you were settled against his own shoulder, Beomgyu draped an arm over your shoulders. Absentmindedly he played with your shirt while the movie finally started to play, adverting his attention to the screen.

You awoke to the sound of crashing sounding from the TV in front of you, blearily blinking your eyes open as you tried to focus in on the sound. Half asleep all you really thought about was the warmth next to you, it was a bit cold. A small shiver wracked your body before you turned more to the right, snuggling closer into whoever was next to you.

The arm around your shoulders tightened a bit, just a quick squeeze before leaving its place. You could tell you were leaned up against your boyfriend, he had a very signature smell. As someone sensitive to scents it was easy to pinpoint the smell of his laundry detergent and the citrus scent of his cologne. After dating him for so long just the smell of his cologne was an easy way to calm you down and make you feel tired. Everything about Beomgyu radiated comfort.

To you, if Beomgyu was one word it would be comfort. Wether he was being loud and obnoxious or he was being quiet and reserved, he was always comforting. He was always observant of everything, every little thing you did he took note of. You fidgeted a bit too much with your sleeves? He would tap your arm before asking if you were uncomfortable, if you needed fresh air. A piece of clothing held your attention for an extra second too long? He'd make up some excuse to find time to go sneak off and get it for you. It was so, so comforting to know somebody was so in tune with you. Beomgyu was like a big hug after an emotionally draining day. You could always rely on him having your best interest in mind.

Before you could fall deeper into your sudden sappiness over your boyfriend, you felt a soft blanket get draped over your shoulders along with hearing a quiet, "Hyung, I was using that!" from Kai. You smiled a bit at the youngest boys words, feeling a bit bad but also knowing there were many more blankets in the room. Beomgyu probably took his to keep from moving you too much.

"Better?" Beomgyus deep voice then asked, barely above a whisper as the movie drowned out his voice to anyone else. It was nice knowing that only you two were sharing this conversation.

You hummed with a nod towards his question, pulling your legs up to your chest as you fully leaned up against him. Your eyes were still closed, but you felt the way Beomgyu gently shook with a silent chuckle. His hand then found its place around your waist as he rested his head on top of yours.

"You must be tired if you fell asleep on Yeonjun hyung.." Beomgyu spoke and you could almost hear the pout in his voice. "But I digress! Go ahead and go back to sleep, love. I'll carry you back to the bedroom once this is over."

Once again you just managed a soft nod, much too tired to do anything else. Your limbs felt heavy and warm, you were happy to fall right back asleep. The loud TV didn't bother you one bit.

You knew Beomgyu kept his promise of bringing you back to the bedroom the next morning when you woke up in your rightful place in his arms, curled up under the covers together. Good thing you had chosen to put on your pajamas before the movie night started.

Seonghwa is a little hesitant at first, probably asking some questions about if you can bring him back, but it’s just because he takes the art seriously. He’s the type who wants to believe, so it’s something potentially powerful in his mind. Once you assure him you won’t make him do anything bad or do anything to him per se, he sits down, eyes boring into yours so seriously. You may need to reassure him that it’s ok, but he can never say no to you, don’t worry! Mingi is so the type to talk tough when you bring it up, but when you sit him down to do it he’s like ‘Wait whoa what about-’ and then he has a bunch of questions. He’s sort of 50-50 on if he believes, but he doesn’t want to be wrong if he laughs it off so he asks questions on if it’s permanent or if he’s going to get haunted. In the past, he has mentioned being scared of demons and evil spirits, so things like hypnotism even if they aren’t as spiritual would probably elicit some concern. Okay!! So! Ren probably told the other councillors that he went to Hackett's Quarry to gain more experience as a music tutor, when in reality, he only joined the stupid program so that he'd get to spend the summer with you.

Would constantly show up to your camp activities with the kids and ask if you needed any help. Mainly because he was free right now and had nothing better to do. (He had to clean the kitchens...)

They would be insanely overprotective of you even if there was no one else around, and it would only get worse if Ren ever gets bitten (read: infected!Nick).

Realistically speaking, the only way Ren could possibly get bitten is by protecting you. Because if he had the choice, this man would literally lock the both of you up in the security room (that he tooootally had no clue about), and would just wait out the night there instead of walking aimlessly around the camp and getting stalked by hunters and werewolves.

I doubt they'd do anything to help the other councillors, and would instead watch them meet their demise through the security cameras.

If you were to witness them meeting their gory demise though, then Ren might put up an act and pretend to care. Maybe press a few buttons and switches in hopes that it'd somehow help them — when in reality, he's just flicking the audio channels on and off.

If you didn't want to camp out in the security room for the entirety of the night, then Ren would be glued to your side and won't ever let you out of his sight.

He'd let you carry the shotgun if it made you feel safer, but wouldn't mind using it himself if you thought that was the better option. Though... he'd probably forget that it was a gun at first and would try to smack the werewolves with the recoil/stock end before realising that, wait, this isn't a sledgehammer? It doesn't work that way?

Ren has seen enough horror movies to be able to put all the (cliché) pieces together, and would probably figure out what was happening by the time you (Abi) push Leon (Nick) into the pool.

Ren would 100% be like, "Oh, they don't like water? Alright then. Cool. C'mon Angel, we're stealing a kayak and sleeping in the middle of the lake tonight ^^ We can look at the stars while we confess our feelings for each other—" "Oh wow MC, you look hot holding a shotgun." "Shut the FUCK up you buff ass RACCOON, I'm having my moment >:(" "Ren, don't be mean to Teo."

If Ren does get infected, then he's just going to be extra clingy and creepy compared to usual. He'd be sniffing you every chance he gets and would try to rub his scent all over you. They'd probably be extra horny because even without being a werewolf, Ren is still very much addicted to your scent.

The real/[REDACTED] side of him would slowly start to surface, and would constantly ask you questions like "who do you love?", "D'you like me?", "No one can protect you like I can.", "You smell s'good. Come closer.", "Need to taste you. Now.", "I want t'be inside you."

Once he fully turns, I'd really like to say that he wouldn't target you simply because his sheer devotion to you would outweigh his animalistic urges. Idk if that's canonically possible in the game, but I'm gonna pretend it is because I can hehe :)

Everyone else is fair game though, especially any of the councillors that got a bit too close to you at the beginning of the season. All the people who tried to be friendly with you? Those who tried to kiss you during that game of Truth or Dare? Yeah, they better start hiding because Ren will be seeking them out.

He probably won't try to interact with you while in his werewolf form because he's afraid of scaring/hurting you, but would instead stalk you around the camp and fend off any other threats that go near your vicinity.

By the time dawn comes, Ren will be seeking you out and ensuring that you're alright. If anyone dared to hurt you while he was occupied with hunting down the other councillors, they'd be dead meat. Especially since they have a shotgun in their possession now :)

“Robin, come on,” you sigh. 

She turns to you with pursed lips. “What?” 

“We’re not ten anymore. Let’s play something more on our level-” 

“Like Dungeons and Dragons.” 

“No, Eddie.” 

He whines. “Why not?” 

“Because we don’t have the mental maturity of a ten-year-old, dingus,” Robin snaps at him. 

“You have the boobs of a ten-year-old.” 

“Oh my god,” you pinch the bridge of your nose, closing your eyes. 

“Okay, kids. Kids,” Steve starts. 

The two don’t stop. 

“Jesus,” he turns to you. “Could you help me out?” 

Your eyes snap open, staring at him over your fingers. “How can I?” 

“They listen to you.” 

Your hand drops as you stare at him with a bewildered expression. “No, they don’t.” 

He nods his head at a fast pace, “yes, yes, they do. You just don’t think they do.” 

“Fine,” you push yourself off the couch. “Papa Steve.” 

He scrunches his nose. “Please, don’t start that again.” 

You smile in return before turning to face the two “children”. You place your curled index and thumb into your mouth, whistling to get their attention. “Kids, no fighting.” 

You regret making them say anything because their voices start to overlap one another, and you can’t hear what either of them have to say. 

“But he started it by saying-” 

“She’s the one who was making-” 

“Hey.” 

They don’t stop. 

You take a deep breath, “hey!” Your hands land on your hips, further proving your role of being the mom of the group. “You two brats need to stop it. You’re not making our weekly movie slash night fun anymore.” 

They both purse their lips and turn back toward one another. “Sorry.” They turn away from one another, crossing their arms, shoulders barely touching. 

You tilt your head, raising your brows. 

They purse their lips and quickly hug one another. 

You smile and turn back to face a smug Steve. 

You roll your eyes. “Could you two stop fighting for just one goddamn second?! And you two wonder why the actual kids,” you gesture to all the highschoolers plus Erica, “Don’t ever want to come over now. It’s because you two little shits keep fighting and quite frankly, I am done. Who wants nachos?” 

Dustin and Will slowly raise their hands. 

“I am making food, so get your feet,” you grab Steve’s ankle, moving it to the side, dropping it. “Off the coffee table. One of you pick a movie, Eddie calls your best friend and ask her where the hell she is, Max take the phone out of curly Sue’s hand and call your brother so we can get an eta, and Steve.” 

He perks up at the sound of you calling his name. 

“Make sure no one burns the house down.” 

“Thank you,” the kids say as you walk into the kitchen. 

“Hey!” You peek your head around the corner. 

“Yes?” Steve calls out. 

“Does anyone have to be anywhere after this, you know, other than their own home?” 

“No, we can send them home loaded on sugar.” 

“This is why I love you. You get me, Steven.” 

He smiles until he looks back at the group and notices their stares. “What?” 

“Can’t you like, I don’t know, just confess or something because those puppy dog eyes, they’re just- there,” she turns towards the others. “What’s the word I’m looking for?” 

“Pathetic,” Eddie answers her with an affirmative nod. 

“Yeah, that, exactly. It’s pathetic, Steve. You gotta confess tonight or else she’ll be going out with someone real soon.” 

He scoots towards the edge of the cushion. “She’s going on a date?!” 

“No, dingus. I’m pointing out the obvious. She could go out on a date because she is very much, in fact, single.” 

Dustin snatches the VHS tape out of Max’s hands. “Can we watch Halloween?” 

“No,” you answer him. 

“Come on, it’s not even that scary.” 

“I said no, Dustin.” 

He mimics your answer. “Why do you like her again, Steve?” 

“Shut up.” 

The curly haired boy gasps like you’ve hurt him. 

“Dustin, don’t you dare,” Steve tells him with a raised brow. 

“But-” 

“No.” 

The boy grumbles under his breath. “Look for something funny.”

“There’s nothing good in here.” 

You sigh, setting the nachos down before running back into the kitchen to grab the slushies’. “Fine, does anyone still want to play a game or watch a movie?” 

“What game?” Nancy asks, shutting the door behind Jonathon and Billy. 

“No chick flicks,” Billy adds. 

You open your mouth to tell Nancy you don’t know yet when Robin shouts, “truth or dare!” 

“Jesus, Buckley. Couldn’t you have chosen a more childish game?” Billy grumbles. 

“Yeah,” she glances over at the metal head. “I could have chosen to Dungeons and Dragons.” 

“Thank god you didn’t.” 

“Hey!” Eddie stands up, pointing at the two. “D and D is for all ages, chain smoker.” 

“Sure, it is, Munson.” 

“Bite me, Hargrove.” 

The corner of Billy’s lips tugs upwards, “when and where, babe.” 

The lighter haired man steps closer to you, throwing an arm around your shoulders, pecking your cheek. “Hey, babe.” 

“Get off me, you fool.” You shrug him off you. “You are supposed to be a likable person but right now I want to kick your ass.” 

“And that’s saying something.” 

You give her a look, “Robin.” 

She sits back, tucking one leg under her. “Sorry.” 

“You three find somewhere to sit, I have more things to get from the kitchen.” 

“No,” Steve disagrees. “You stay here I’ll get it... you just need to tell me where to go.” 

You smile at his sweet behavior. “No, Steve. You sit down. I got it.” You walk by him, grabbing his shoulder before whispering in his ear. “Make sure they don’t kill each other and don’t spill anything on my carpet.” 

An airy chuckle slips past his lips. “I will.” 

“Thank you, dear.” You head back into the kitchen. “Everybody sit down and grab a drink.” 

The tall blond reaches into his jacket. 

“Don’t you even think about spiking your drink, you brat.” 

Billy stops and pulls his hand out, pushing Mike and Eleven off the couch, sprawling on the couch beside the kid’s dungeon master. “What are we doing tonight?” 

“We can watch a movie,” Dustin offers. 

“There’s nothing good to watch here and it’s too late for anyone to run over to the video store,” Billy grumbles. 

You set a few more things down on the coffee table. “Why are you such a little brat today?” 

“I’m not a brat.” 

“That attitude says otherwise.” 

“That’s just me,” he smirks. 

“Truth or dare!” 

“Robin,” you sigh. 

“No,” she shakes her head. “It’ll be fun.” 

“And for some reason I don’t believe you.”

Steve pushes himself off the couch, pulling you away from the others. “Maybe it’ll be good to do something different.” 

“It would but I feel like she has a motive behind her urge to play.” 

“That’s just how Rob is.” 

“Okay, well when Rob tortures you with a question or a dare, don’t come to me.” 

“I won’t.” 

The corner of your lips tugs upward. “Now I don’t believe you,” you poke his chest. 

“Believe me, don’t believe me. It doesn’t matter at this point because we’re gonna do what the kids want to do.” 

“And you wonder why they call you papa Steve.” 

Now, it’s his turn to smirk. “And you wonder why they call you Mom.” 

You roll your eyes. “Whatever.”

You abruptly stop causing Steve to bump into you. 

“What happ-” He sighs, placing his hands on his hips. “Of course.” 

“Why do Max and Jonathan have Billy in a chokehold?” 

Nancy and Eddie shrug, sharing a plate of nachos. 

You forget, it’s a dead end to ask those two questions whenever they’re together. Sometimes you regret introducing them. 

It was a dead end to ask Argyle, he’s been napping in a corner since he got here. 

"If we play the damn game, will you two stop fighting him?” 

The two share a look. “Yep.” 

“Great, everyone go find a place to sit and we’ll get started.” 

Conveniently there’s a space near you on the couch which, of course, is going to be occupied by the other parental figure of the group. 

“Dustin don’t try and drink it all so fast. You’ll get a brain freeze.” 

The boy’s shoulders sag, knowing that you’re right. 

“Okay, who’s going to choose?” Robin asks, rubbing her hands against her thighs, an obvious sign she’s up to something. 

You narrow your eyes at her, to which she ignores. 

Max and Eddie catch the whole thing and immediately spring into action. 

“Why don’t we start by playing a game of truth or dare and then a movie?” Max interrupts your thoughts before you could piece together their plan. 

“I’m with red. I know you’ve got some juicy secrets, Henderson.” 

The boy stares at his dungeon master with his jaw on the floor. “What?” He screeches. “Me, what about you?” 

The metal head scoffs, “like I haven’t shared anything with you guys.” 

“I don’t believe you.” 

“Fine, I’ll go first.” 

“Please don’t,” you mumble. 

“Truth or dare, Henderson?” 

“Oh shit, you were serious?” 

Eddie nods. 

“Fine… don’t call me a baby. Truth?” 

“Is it true… that you and Suzie Q, are still…” 

“I swear to God Eddie. If you ask if they’re virgins, I’m going to hurt you.” 

“What?” 

“Don’t you give me that look, Munson.” 

“Boo. I wasn’t… virgins?” The metal head pushes himself off the couch, running away so he can hide. 

“No, you don’t,” he says as his arms go around your waist. 

“Steve,” you whine. “Let go.” 

“No.” 

“But-” 

“No.” 

You huff, “fine. I’m calm.” 

“You can come out now, Eddie.” 

“Always the hero, huh, Harrington.” 

“You want me to let her go so she can unleash herself onto you.” 

He shakes his head. “Thanks, Harrington.” 

“There we go and you’re welcome.” 

“I don’t like either of you right now.” 

Steve smirks, staring down at you. “If that’s the case then why are you snuggled into my side?” 

“You’re comfy and warm. I on the other hand am going to be frozen before the night is over.” You grab and blanket and throw it over the two of you. “It’s Dustin’s turn.” 

“What?” 

“A player asked another player an inappropriate question and I made an executive decision.” 

Eddie grumbles, crossing his arms. 

Nancy raises their half-eaten plate of nachos, it works because as his munching, he seems to be brightening up. 

The boy takes his time looking around the room for his “victim”. “Let’s see… I choose,” he taps his chin with his index finger, building the tension between everyone. 

“Hurry up. Other people have places to be,” Billy chimes. 

“Oh yeah? You got a hot date, Hargrove?” 

He tilts his head, lips tugging upwards as he pretends to give you an innocent smirk. “Maybe I do? You wanna frisk me to find out?” 

Steve furrows his brows, the sudden urge to kick Billy’s forearm tempts him (he’d love to see him get upset only to realize that he can’t do anything in retaliation because you’d stop Billy). 

The fabric of the couch moving weirds you out, you aren’t expecting it and turn to find him clenching his fist into the back of the couch. 

You drop your head back onto his shoulder and pat his stomach. 

His stomach shivers at the feeling but makes it less apparent for you to not notice. 

The blond smirks, raising his brows at the two of you whenever he catches either of your eyes. 

You narrow your eyes at the brat. “Steve.” 

“Huh?” The man diverts his attention onto his favorite kid of the group. 

“Truth or dare, Papa Steve?” 

He bites back the urge to inform everyone to not call him that, but he can’t, he secretly likes it. “Oh- uh- I don’t know- truth?” 

The boy pouts at his answer. “Are you sure?” 

“Honestly, not really but I don’t like the face your making and I think truth might be a safer option.” 

“Aw, is little mister man gonna be scared of the kids if he chooses dare?” 

He scoffs, looking away from you, “no.” 

You smile and poke his cheek, “then choose dare. Let’s get this game going.” 

“Uh- fine, fine. I choose dare. But I am not gonna run around the neighborhood in my underwear. I draw the line there.” 

Eddie and Nancy boo him. 

“So, you choose dare?” 

“Yeah,” he nods. “I dare you two to go into the hall closet together.” 

“Who two?” 

“You two,” Dustin points to you two. 

The two of you are silent, neither one of you knows what to say. 

Steve’s mouth opens and closes, reminding everyone that’s staring at him, of a fish out of water. 

Part of you doesn’t even want to respond or answer the young boy but you know you have to. 

Steve turns his head towards you, staring at you trying to understand how you're feeling. 

You slowly and carefully lean your head in a little, whispering, “we don't have to you know it's- it's okay.” 

He nods. “Yeah I- I- I know- I just, I mean should we?” 

You don’t know what’s gotten into him but honestly you can't complain about it. Maybe even a little part of you is excited to know that Steve isn’t going to fully object to being locked in a tight space with you. 

Could it mean that he- no, but- no, it’s best to not get your hopes up. You lift the blanket, tossing it onto the people next to you. 

You ignore the complaints of Max, knowing that they were just going to take the blanket anyway. You push yourself off the couch and hold your hand out for him. 

He stares at you like you've lost your mind, you don't care. “What a- what are you doing there?” He asks.

You reply with a nod and slight smile in return. “Well, you were dared, weren't you?” 

He doesn’t verbally respond and nods his head so, at least you know he’s listening and can understand what you’re asking him.

The group waits to let out a victorious cry, not wanting either of you to know until after plan has been completed. 

“She was the first one to make a move. Who had money on that?” Eddie asks. 

“I think I can safely assume that everyone didn’t place any money on Steve,” Robin adds. 

Will (whose been quiet for almost the whole night) slowly raises his hand. 

“What?” Dustin screeches. 

Eddie and Max raise their hands too. 

“What? You guys, come on.” Robin throws her head back and groans. “You guys.” 

“I wanted him to man up and confess. Sue me,” Max tells her. 

“I’m with red,” Eddie chimes in. 

“Same. I honestly thought tonight he was going to try and say something,” Will adds. 

“Okay, team Steve,” Robin teases them.

“We don’t have to actually do anything, you know,” you start off. “I mean, they didn’t follow us to make sure we do as they say you know.” 

He nods. 

“Steve?” 

He stares at you, coming out of his thoughts. “Yeah?” 

“Are you okay?” You furrow your brows in concern, “you don’t look like you’re enjoying yourself tonight.” 

“No, no,” he shakes his head. “I am, I swear I am. I’m just- I feel bad for you. I don’t want you to think that you have to you know, do this because the kids dared you too.” 

You smile, “technically it was your dare, but you should know, I’m always happy to hang out with you. Don’t tell anyone from the gang but,” you lean in, whispering in his ear. “You’re my favorite.” 

He looks away, not wanting you to see the flush in his cheeks (but you do). “You can’t say things like that.” 

You furrow your brows, watching him pace around the hallway, close to your bedroom. “Why not?” 

“Because.” 

“Because why, Steve?” 

“Because I- I-” You don’t like when he cuts himself off as he’s close to talking about his feelings. “No, you don’t get to close yourself off because you don’t know how to say what you need to say. So just say it however you need to.” 

He sighs, “because I- I feel something?” He scrunches his nose when he thinks back to what he said. “Steve?” 

“I’m feeling things for… you.” 

“Oh.” 

He sighs, “yeah.” 

“Like what?” 

“I’m sorry?” 

You gulp, deciding to bite the bullet. “What kind of feelings?” 

“What?” 

You tilt your head, “what kind of feelings do you have for me?” 

“I- what? Why do you ask?” 

“Well, if you’re saying you have feelings for me. I’d like to know what they are because that could make or break what I’m about to say?” 

“You,” he furrows his brows. “What are you trying to say? Do you… have feelings for me?” 

“Depends.” 

He sighs, “if I say that I do have feelings for you, will you admit that you do or don’t so I can stop embarrassing myself?” 

You smile, taking a step forward. 

“What’s that look for?” 

“Did you just say that you like me?” 

He blinks owlishly, “what?” 

“You just said you like me.” You wrap your arms around his shoulders. 

“Did I?” His back hits the wall, he tries to grab onto something, anything because he’s not sure if this is real. “I mean, maybe. Does- does that mean you… return those feelings?” 

“If I lean in just a little,” your lips are an inch away from him. “Closer, what would you think?” 

“I’m not a religious guy, but I’d be praying you felt something for me.”

“Then it’s a good thing you won’t need to get on your knees and pray.” You peck his lips, “unless you want to, that is.” 

He awkwardly chuckles, ignoring your gaze. 

You smile, slowly pulling him in for a make out session, not caring if anyone sees you two. 

His hands move off the wall and onto your waist, tightening as the two of you lose yourselves in one another.

“Should we go check on them?” Robin asks. 

“I’d rather not.” Billy shivers in disgust, “it’d be like finding your parents making out.” 

“You’re just jealous because you don’t have your own person to call you daddy.” 

“Eddie!” Nancy and Robing shout. 

“What?” He glances between the two. “Am I wrong?” 

Billy doesn’t say anything as he takes a sip of his drink. 

“Okay, moving on,” Dustin chimes in. 

“I can go and see what they’re doing,” El adds. 

“No,” Robin shakes her head. “I will not let you get traumatized.” 

“How would I get traumatized?” 

“Well, you see-” 

“I’ll check,” Will says, pushing himself off the ground. “Oh no.” He covers his eyes, “I’m blind. I need to bleach my eyes.” 

“Oh, come on, it can’t be that bad.” Dustin stands beside him and groans. “Oh my god! Oh my god. Gross. Old people making out.” 

Steve doesn’t pull away as he flips the child off. 

“Oh great,” he mutters, pulling Will back into the living room. “He’s flipping me off. Steve’s finally getting some and now he’s being a dick.” You roll your eyes and pull back. “Quick question before I go in there and jump on him.” 

He hums. 

“I’m sure I’ve got the right idea, but I want to double check, are we boy-” 

“Yes, one hundred percent. I’m not going to go around kissing and dating other girls when I’ve got the one girl I’ve always wanted.” 

You quietly aw, pecking his lips before dragging him into the living room. “You are all not subtle,” you point out. “Dustin, you’re an asshole too, don’t deny it. You do the same shit with Suzie. Will, honey, I am sorry for traumatizing you but we’re together and we’re happy.” 

No one adds onto that as Max starts the movie. 

You and Steve enjoy cuddling next to each other more than you did during previous cuddles.

The movie ends and you send the kids home, almost completely filled with sugar. 

Neither of you have any regrets about that. 

Steve lingers in the living room, helping you clean up. 

“You don’t have to go, if you don’t want to, Steve. There’s plenty of room here.” 

He nods, “I know. You kind of foiled my plans. I was gonna make up something so I could stay.” 

“Oh yeah?” You add onto his joke. “Like maybe, all of a sudden it started raining even though there’s no rain.” 

“You stole the words right out of my mouth.” 

“I know you too well, Harrington.” 

He groans, “not the last name.” 

“I don’t have a cute pet name for you yet.” 

“Fine. Oh, wait. As long as it’s not-” 

“Papa Steve.” 

“Exactly.” 

“Mm-kay.” 

“You’re scaring me.” 

“Don’t be scared.”
