a bit of backstory behind this for anyone who's interested - this is obviously kind of dark and weird, and although the music is instrumental it is about grief and isolation because that's what i was feeling when i made this, and i tried to portray those themes through the sounds. i challenged myself by limiting most of these songs to a single synth and a bassline and i think the end product is really cool. i hope u like it :-)

some of the many reasons i believe ayana is an absolute girlfailure is her complete and utter failure in her previous relationship/s (I SAY THIS BC SHE PROBABLY HAS BEEN IN A FEW THAT HAVENT WORKED OUT LONG BEFORE SHE MET BOYFRIEND,, also shes just awkward as hell but thats a story for anotha time)

NOT ONLY THAT BUT HELLO??? she appears so calm and collected whenever shes engaging in simple conversation but internally shes freaking out and she has no idea where anything is gonna end up going and often times she can and she WILL let stupid things slip out of her mouth and immediately she regrets it

and let me tell you this she gets more and more pathetic and losery around dalia,, this woman is in LOVE (hence that stupid doodle i made where aya's just freaking out over the slightest bit of affection given to her) (looks like she might have abandonment issues sorry what)

IN FACT. GIVING PHYSICAL AFFECTION TO EVERYONE. SHES ALL FOR THAT SHIT,, hugs, kisses, stroking hair, you name it, this girl is a massive cuddlebug you cant convince me otherwise

i mentioned my pastry chef ayana hc in passing but i'm gonna fully expand on that now: SO. also aya family hcs bc people should talk ab that but ayana's dad is a chef (no specific speciality, but he does make a lot of baked goods) and growing up she would often mirror what he does and that eventually led to her practicing and honing her skills! :D (she also studies culinary arts at college teehee) ALSO!!! she brings all sorts of baked goods she makes over for all her favourite people to enjoy constantly whether that be cookies, pastries, cakes, all of that yummy stuff

despite being an absolute loser girlfail idiot she can jam on the bass like its no tomorrow. IM TALKING ABOUT SLAP, FINGERPICKING, YOU NAME IT, SHE CAN DO IT ‼️‼️ here's an example of the bass playing style i had in mind for her, very energetic and fluid heuehehehehehe

SPEAKING OF (and this ties in a little with my band au) and whenever she drops an epic bassline everyone just stops and stares at her totally being in the zone

HAIR EXTENSIONS!!! ive talked about this on discord before but ayana with naturally shorter hair so she wears hair extensions! (also bc gender euphoria but shhhh)

i also believe that aldryx and tabi had zero idea that she wore them and just believed her hair was naturally long. this is how their conversation went trust;

those two gossip about anything and everything and every single night they do each other's hair n spend time doing full fledged spa routines while talking shit about anyone and everyone bc theyre high maintenance as hell and take pride in their combined collection of bazillions of good smelling bodywashes and shampoos

also she works as a seamstress in her spare time when she's not doing music or baking ^_^ she often uses her expertise to create some outfits (with the help of sketches done by either tabi or agoti) and often has trouble finding someone to be her muse so she often gets dalia to help

she takes this VERY seriously by the way if she hears a singular complaint she will go insane

okay dominic hi!!! so i did my blur homework and i really enjoyed all the songs you recommended so thank you sm<3 girls & boys was by far my favorite out of the rec list (fork found in the kitchen, who here is surprised) but i really REALLY fucking enjoyed the bass in that song, i'm always listening for bass-prominent songs or songs that just have insanely delicious basslines so that's one of the main reasons i loved that song the most. caramel was my 2nd favorite from the list, i just really enjoyed the vibes of it, how it was kind of eerie-sounding (to me at least), and also the lyrics too. i'll fs be delving more into blur world because of this but if you have any more album/song recs of theirs do let me know!! peace and love and music all the way amen ily <3

!!!! right so you like girls and boys for the bass which is good bc blur usually have decent bass lines. there isnt rly an album that has more than any of the others but if you want one w a lot of energy then id say go for parklife or the great escape (parklife is better imo, but neither of them are quite as energetic as g&b that song's a bit of an anomaly haha). if you liked caramel then you have to listen to their self-titled or 13 <333

Hello! I wanted to know if you have any tutorials to make edits on your phone! I really like your work and I would like to make some fancams too :)

omg hi!! first off, i'm super flattered by this ask, anon, thanks so much! i don't have any official tutorials, but i can give some general advice:

i use capcut on my phone for my edits, it's not the only app out there and i encourage experimenting with different apps, it's just what i've grown used to working with! i mostly use pretty simple functions so i'm guessing they'll translate pretty easily to other apps!

i just use my phone's screen record for clips and music, youtube and newpipe should work fine with screen record for music, and for clips i mostly use internet archive (tubi also works, but not for some movies for some reason)

i usually either sync clips with the beat of a song (listen to the drums/bassline) OR i sync the clips to the song's lyrics (usually i do this last one if i'm using a song that i think is particularly applicable to my chosen character/theme! it draws attention to how the words work with your clips). you can do both in the same edit if you want! there's rly no strict rules here!

^^ if you're syncing to the beat, your clips will generally be more consistent so it's really helpful to use Duplicate + Replace! once you feel like you have your first clip cut down to sync with the first full beat (or two beats, or however you're syncing it) you can duplicate that clip then replace your duplicate with your second clip, and continue doing this till you're done! it might not be perfect and you may have to tweak your clips a liiittle bit to make it work, but i've found duplicate+replace makes the process so much faster

if i'm feeling ~fancy~ sometimes i'll use overlays, which lets you put multiple clips in at the same time. on capcut, i don't recommend overlaying more than like. three clips at a time because it'll overwhelm the app and slow it down a LOT. (every app and phone is different so this threshold might be different for you!) overlays move differently than regular main track clips, so using them took me a while to get used to but i do love the results!

there's a lot of room for experimentation with overlays as well! since you're using multiple clips, you have to find ways to make them fit into whatever aspect ratio you've chosen. overlays can also be inserted at different points, so you can play around with syncing them differently as well!

one thing about capcut that drives me CRAZY is a lot of the time it will export your clips out of sync. i don't rly have a fix for this unfortunately (if anyone out there does i would LOVE to know what it is) so what i do is just do a test export, watch it to see what needs to be cut shorter for it to sync, go back to capcut and do my edits, then export again.

okay PHEW this is all the advice i could think of right now, i don't even know if this is exactly what you were asking for so please feel free to send another ask if you have more specific questions!! i wish you the best with your editing journey, and i hope you end up enjoying it as much as i do <333

I did a PCR lab in molecular bio today which was super cool! and I had my costume fitting for Sweeney Todd this week and I have these AMAZING cream colored Victorian lace boots that are a little snug but I love them too much to part with them :) and a really beautiful lacy blouse and weighted petticoat with this blush bodice with roses and a matching skirt and a pair of Regency/Victorian-type trousers with a faux front (like buttons on both sides) and I'm so in love

Drive My Car – 8/10 Funky beyond belief, really drives the song. The switch in sound between the verses and chorus brings great contrast to those two parts.

Norwegian Wood – 5/10 does what it's supposed to, not much more though. Some nice little chromatic phrases.

You Won't See Me – 12/10 literally immaculate, I sing along to this instead of the words sometimes because of how lovely the melody is. Love that the patterns aren't repeated note for note throughout the song.

Nowhere Man – 9/10 LOVELY!! Wish it was more discernible in the original, it gets a little drowned out by the vocals.

Think For Yourself 8/10 the fuzz really hits the spot and THOSE TRIPLETS <333

The Word – 7/10 groovy!!! however, sorta repetitive

Michelle – 100/10 fucking AHHHHHH!!!!!!! literally the star of this song.

- OMG this is so HD - I'm EXCITED - the candles are a nice touch - of course they start off with a series of dramatic explosions and thunder-like sounds XD my fave band is so extra and dramatic and I live for it - Roger's face on a drum kit! - this version of WWRY rocks - finally a cameraman that doesn't fail to show a fair amount of Deaky power - the godly lighting department - Freddie with a Superman t-shirt? Give me that DC spinoff with Queen members as superheroes - they'd fight with evil producers, stupid critics, close-mided people - "you wanna get crazy?" Heck YES - Brian, please STOP making that face... I'm feeling my sin - "We'll give you crazy performace" I BET YOU WILL - Deaky seems to like blue as uch as I do, also he looks SO HOT - Roger's backing vocals are everything - Freddie: *takes off his leather jacket* crowd: *cheers* - man, the cinematography is better in this concert than in some movies I've recently watched - I adore the colouring - this version of Play the Game is far superior to the album version - okay, I'm totally gonna screencap this concert like crazy - Brian looks so elegant, oh my - YASS Roger, bang the drums! - SOMEBODY TO LOVE! - Freddie looked directly into the camera! - Oh my, this is killing me... Yes, that's what I wanted - licky Deaky - Brian changed his clothes, still looking very nice - they really liked Jailhouse Rock, didn't thye? - "move it you fuckers" OMG so mean - Freddie & Brian <333 Brian's smile <3333 - Roger must be really hot in that shirt....in every possible sense - it's Bohemian Rhapsody time! - my mum would cheer, it's her second fave - the best thing about the live versions of Bohemian Rhapsody is that they always play my favourite parts - I'm actually gonna turn up the volume for that godly guitar solo - Oooo they played the operatic part via playback??? - I didn't see that coming actually - Nice touch! - SPARE HIM HIS LIFE FROM THIS MONSTROSITY - ROGER'S DRUMS - okay that hard rock section SLAPS hard - this is my favourite version so far - please tell me there's a CD version of this concert? I want it all (no pun intended)on my phones - I'm totally gonna search for a victim who's gonna watch this with me again - Sensing my mum or my flatmate - SMASH THAT GONG ROGER BOY - the flowers Freddie deserved - I'm pretty sure I'm watching this way too loud (on headphones but still), considering I'm on a traine...I have no regrets though - the editor knew what he was doing, unlike the Odeon one - they have more energy than me, - more explosions...SO EXTRA - Another one bites the dust! - Deaky's time to shine again - Freddie...I'm in public..stop taking off your clothes - AOBTD should be a Freddie/Roger vocal duet, change my mind - "Are you happy? After a couple of teasing EP & video clip releases, ladies and gentlemen, Alfa Matrix is proud to present to you today the much awaited full length album by the new ultimate EBM project by the members of one of the cult electro industrial music pioneers of all times next to KRAFTWERK and EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN: DIE KRUPPS’ very own Jürgen Engler and his fellow members Ralf Dörper and Marcel Zürcher!

The idea for them was to have an outlet for songs that couldn't be used in a DIE KRUPPS context. The use of guitars in ROBO SAPIENS music being taboo! 'In a way, it's a return to our Electro roots, but with a twist. Imagine the Duesseldorf sound of KRAFTWERK mixed with hard DIE KRUPPS EBM. This combination of styles has been spooking around my brain for a while, and it was time to put it into action,' Juergen Engler says.

Nuuuu, you’re fine, it was just the other day! XD But heeeeeey! (Thanks! And congrats on your novel! 8D) And YES, Yasunori Mitsuda is absolutely one of my fav composers, well known for his work in Chrono Cross/Trigger and the Xeno game series (Xenogears probably being my all-time fav game). While Uematsu has great technical skill and has created many classic FF melodies too, somehow I seem to prefer Mitsuda’s finesse in evoking much stronger emotional responses that pierce straight to the heart. The games he composed for would not have their soul without him, and as such, have left quite the lasting impression. :’33 He definitely has a characteristic ‘flair’ noticeable in his style (personally I like how he weaves in basslines to his ambient layers). And honestly I wish he was around more to compose more often, cause all his stuff is great! :’D

Chrono Trigger (SNES, 1995): Ahhh, nostalgia! Some classic favs include: Corridors of Time, Secret of the Forest (plus awesome cover!) 

Xenogears (PS1, 1998): Oh boy, this game got dark and intense, and pretty much blew my mind when I first played it (such an experience). The tracks I cannot forget, that pretty much define the game as a whole to me, are these: Bonds of Sea and Fire, June Mermaid, Omen, The Beginning and the End (ending cinematic choir) 

Chrono Cross (PS1, 1999): Damn, the whole soundtrack is beautiful; it’s hard to choose! But some personal favs are: Time’s Scar, Time of the Dreamwatch, Another World, Leaving the Body, Chronomantique (main theme), Radical Dreamers (vocal ending credits)

8. which song do you think should everybody listen to at least once in their lives?

Last Kiss by Pearl Jam. This is the saddest song I’ve ever heard but also the most beautiful one. It will always be one of my favorites and will also get to me every time I listen to it. I think the story in this song could get anyone to be safe and careful when they’re driving and therefore, could save lives.

9. explain why your favourite song is your favourite song

I think my favorite song is Bullet by Franz Ferdinand because it has such original lyrics and a wonderful rhythm. I just love the drums and the guitar solo in the middle of the song after that amazing bassline. They did such an amazing job for this song
