I never played as an Argonain before, mostly cause nothing about their racial perks stood out to me. They don't have claws apparently, so no good punch.

I like playing as a Kahjiit cause they punch real good, they are cats, their ears bend back and they show their fangs when in a fight and they look cool. I also like playing as a High Elf cause they're tall so they move faster and can reach the top shelf (I'm not even exaggerating with this, there have been many times my other race saves needed to jump and climb to reach somethin). They also have +50 points of magicka which I find a really nice starting bonus. Also the female Altmer have nice face paint. Not the males thou. They don't get unique face paint.

I was messing around with creating a new character cause I have that thing where when I'm restless and unsatisfied with whatever it may be, usually life, I make a new save. I have like over ten saves now, send help.

Turns out Argonians are really cool looking. A little difficult to make, but this could just be me never playing as one before so I'm tryin to adjust to the creation part. It also helped that the character name limit is 26, not the 15 I kept reading. I had come up with some cool names but they were all too long, until I actually made a new save and saw the actual limit. Not sure if its a Switch thing or what, but once I saw I could actually use the longer name I liked, I just HAD to make the character.

That’s when you knew you needed to direct your anger into a career. So you become a Detective throwing criminals in the slammer. Which made all your rage fade away and you start to become a great cop, one that people admire. So much so you get asked out by someone who likes your uniform. You date and marry them, have kids. Life seems good till they realize what a hot head you are! They love you but you severely trouble them but you both stay together. You try to keep calm for them and your kids but your past precedes you.

Gen.3 Art Student That Gets Into an Abusive Relationship🎨💔

You grew up in a home full of anger, but you refused to subdue that behavior. So when your parent got mad you shut down and kept quiet. To avoid having problems but as time went on that began to stress you out. So you focused your negative emotions into art. Which led you to graduate high school and get to go onto college. As an art student your world was filled with color and nude models. Whose bodies were art and you painted them beautifully. One day though you never knew could change everything in a terrible way. You meet someone who you think understands you. You date them after a while their true colors shine through and they're dark! You both argue day and night and to not start a fight. You let them seduce you till they get tired and pass out next to you. Your grades start to suffer so you start to avoid them to do what’s best for you. But all that gets thrown out the window when you find out you're going to be a parent! Your narcissist partner reels you back in because of the baby. So you stay but you fear for you and the baby/babies life! Once the baby arrives you make your escape with the baby/babies. Leaving your abusive ex behind you, move into a small home just right for you and your baby/babies. Then you go back to college and finish and become a freelance painter.

So you stop caring about school so much and hangout with the jocks! They show you how to be bad but still be adored! You all go to the nightclubs and sneak past the bouncers at bars. Get drunk and taking pills not prescribed  partying all night! One day they give you a makeover to make you look like one of them. You feel weird but excited taking it all in! Before you know it you're living the teenage dream! But it all ends when you find out that you/person you slept with. One wild night is pregnant! You never planned on your high school years turning out this chaotic! But now the popular teens left you spreading gossip about the pregnancy. So you're left on your own pregnant/going to be a teen parent. What happens now you stop being this pill popper and be yourself again. Starting a podcast about all the pill problems and teen parent struggles you went through. Now it’s up to you if you go and find someone but you have overcome so much at a young age!

Gen.5 Public Health Person Goes Crazy from a Disease Outbreak🥼🦠

(Inspired by Covid 19 pandemic.) 

You have always been a germaphobe but now you're making it through something terrible. You go into the medical field thinking it will be great you’ll help save lives. Well as a Public Health person the whole world's health rest’s on your shoulders. Now that there's a virus spreading you seek shelter in your home. Only going out with a mask you’re an philanthropist person this is not the way you hoped to spend. Your Young Adult life but now you're in charge of finding a way for this disease to be cured! Through all the testing in the lab and multiple reports coming in of deaths. It becomes too much for you to bear so you quit your job. Staying home becoming stir crazy from no social interaction. Suddenly you find that you made the worst mistake of your life. Quitting on all these people who can be saved from the outbreak. So you take care of yourself paint and do other hobbies. Then get back to the daily wear a mask save a life. After a couple years of research your the one that finds a cure! You're the hero and now everyone wants a picture with you! But you stay humble just happy you were able to help. You settle down after it’s all over with one of your fellow Public Health workers. You get married and have kids. But your job never ends by making sure you, your family and the public will be safe from future outbreaks!

hiiiii!!!! i am just wondering what mods you use to put raphael in the romance cutscenes? i only really have ring of metamorph and that doesn't really work in the romance scenes for me :sob:

Hello there. :) I use these excellent mods together:

1. Appearance Edit Enhanced. This mod allows me to completely change the look of any of my companions, so I can make them look like Raphael in the character creation. Depending on the romance scene, I change the companion I need for that.

2. Raphael Heads. This mod adds Raphael's human and cambion heads to the character creation.

3. Raphael's Colour Preset Archive. This mod has the custom hair, eye and skin colors Raphael uses as options in the character creation. Both human and cambion, Haarlep is also included.

4. Raphael Outfit. This mod adds human and cambion Raphael's outfit and boots. It has both armor and camp versions.

5. Ring of Metamorph. This mod has Raphael's human and cambion form that can be cast onto NPCs. Like you mentioned, it doesn't work with all romance scenes, there are some scenes that revert the applied look. This happens because of the custom body models the game uses for certain cutscenes. For those, I use the Script Extender.

6. Norbyte's Baldur's Gate 3 Script Extender. I used the console commands of this script extender to play some of the romance scenes like Minthara's or Mizora's.

Visible ID lets you see any creature (or items) ID, as well as their stats

Dev Console lets you spawn basically anything at will. the documentation is uh. lacking, last i checked, but the command i use is : <at cursor> spawn Scavenger ID.1. with the ID you specifically want following the last dot with no spaces. you can also do destroy type=Spear to disarm all the scavengers present and invuln to make yourself immune to everything

not neccesary but useful tools are beastmaster for spawning objects (don't spawn pearls from the all-menu that crashes the game) and mousedrag for moving entities as well as reviving / killing / deleting entities

I grinded my PickPocket skill to 100 to get the Perfect Touch perk so I could steal Bryling's fur cloak right off her back.

She's essential. Perfect Touch doesn't work on essential NPCs like her or Jarls.

Some posts say they killed her without mods or console commands but I don't really believe that in a game where mods/cc are a thing and I don't want to kill her, even if I could. Not until after I've done the quest for Pactur atleast. Again, if I could kill her.

but in all seriousness, here's a list. this isn't an install order nor does it list all requirements for mods, but it does have all the mods I can't live without or have used before and enjoy. read mod descriptions closely, watch for compatibility sections, and you'll be fine. I won't really mention cosmetics beyond listing some devs (including myself, to be transparent) who focus on that kind of thing, because this list will get even longer and cosmetics tend to be more on a case-by-case basis. I also won't list texture mods because I don't use them.

this is also not exhaustive and I will definitely forget some lol. browse nexus, there's definitely lots of things I probably looked over/missed.

also, do not use synth's guide, period. it's now unsupported and I'm tired of troubleshooting it on the main modding server.

It was only right that the first time I played a Paladin, it be the Fandom's favourite Tief Grandpeepaw.

Using the 'Play as your favourite Tieflings' Mod means I get to play as the Good old Paladin, Commander Zevlor-

Close-ups on his distinguished greys are the bonus, other than the fact that Divine Smite is OP!

Fun fact, his horns are listed as Hellrider's Pikes!

I also have the mods Improved Oath of Devotion, P4 Horn, Makeup and Lip colours, P4 eye colours, FacesUnlocked, and Alternate Horns for Tieflings, which allows me to customise his horn tip colours.

I gave him the Urchin background, as it says in the Forgotten Realms storyline, that he joined the Hellriders as a Squire at twelve, after being orphaned.

To get his stats perfect, I had to use the Ability Improvement and Weapon Master on the first Level Ups, plus the Mod Instant Level 12. (You can level up when you like via the character wheel, but in Cannon, he's Level 7.)

I headcannon that his Holy Sword was a little like the Tyr one from Ander's but blessed by Helm.

(I had to level him up for the fight against the stupid Harpies, because I sold the default Paladin weapon to get the armour.)

For anyone wondering, this works on Console as well as PC, and you CAN also play as Dammon or Alfira, so you could make your Karlach X Dammon ship sail in-game if you wanted.

The Sims 4: New Game Patch (September 18th, 2024)

This patch is a big one and brings many new updates and fixes into the game that span across different packs, including improvements to apartment walls, ceiling lighting, and a whole host of fixes for our recently released expansion pack, Lovestruck. There’s a colorful update to Build/Buy items! 650 color variants have been added and there are new items such as archways, doors, and even ground covers to spruce up your terrain. Reducing Memory Usage:

Frequent Memory Updates – Increased the frequency of memory usage data updates to prevent out-of-memory crashes.

Improving Simulation Performance:

Streamlining Data Storage – We restructured how we store game data to reduce the overhead of using Python objects, making the game run faster and use less memory.

Efficient Buff Generation – Reworked how temporary data is generated and stored to fix previous issues and optimize memory usage.

Reducing Load Times:

Optimizing Render Target Allocation – Stopped unnecessary allocation of large color targets during certain rendering processes, now saving valuable memory especially in high-resolution settings.

DirectX 11 (DX11) Updates

We’re pleased to announce improvements to the DirectX 11 executable for PC users. While these updates are focused on Windows PC’s, Xbox Simmers will also see benefits from these changes as the Xbox runs a console-based variant of DirectX 11. Here’s what to expect:

NVIDIA and AMD

NVIDIA and AMD Graphics Cards – Players using NVIDIA and AMD GPUs will now automatically default to the DX11 executable. Players on other GPUs like Intel, will continue to enjoy The Sims 4 on DX9 until a later update.

DirectX 11 Enhancements – Faster Graphics Processing – Implemented changes to how graphics data is updated, reducing delays between the CPU and GPU for smoother gameplay.

Performance Boost with Constant Buffers (cbuffers) – This enhances performance by reducing overhead and managing memory more efficiently. Users with mid to high-end GPUs should notice improved performance!

New DirectX 9 Option in Graphics Setting – By default, Simmers on NVIDIA and AMD GPUs will launch The Sims 4 using DX11. If you prefer, you can switch to DX9 via Game Options > Graphics and enable the DirectX 9 toggle before re-launching The Sims 4 to play using DirectX 9.

Intel

Ongoing Intel Development – We are continuing development on bringing DirectX 11 to Intel GPU based PC’s but it needs a little longer before we can bring it to Simmers as the default option. For now Intel based Simmers will continue to use DirectX 9 when running The Sims 4.

DirectX 11 Opt-In – DirectX 11 is available for those Simmers who want to try it, including those using an Intel GPU, you may experience visual issues with mods. We recommend disabling all mods while using the -dx11 command line argument.

hi! i saw the guide to make sure Skyrim doesnt update, and i have to thank you very much for that!

unfortunately, im running out of space on my pc and have to get uninstall skyrim and all my mods. is there any way to guarantee that, if i ever reinstall, it wont install the lastest version?

i really dont care about having the latest version even months from now, i just wanna make sure ill have an easy time getting mods back when i do reinstall

I'm not aware if you can prevent a fresh install from being the latest version (my assumption is no, but if anyone knows more please feel free to add on your knowledge), but you can downgrade to any previous version. And here is an older guide I've written on how to do this for Starfield, but the general instructions on how to do this are the same:

How to Revert Updates on Steam

There may be times where you wish to revert an update. For example, there may be mod conflicts from an update, the update may have caused unintended issues for your save, or you may simply wish to experience an earlier version of the game again. Doing so simply requires you to replace the updated files with their earlier version, and disable future updates until you wish to progress to the updated version. However, this will require more work unless you regularly backup your game files. Also, you will likely want to back your game files before you attempt to revert to an earlier version.

It is possible to download the necessary files to downgrade your game version from Steam. First you will need to access the steam console. Using the Run program on Windows and input:

steam://open/console

This will open a normally hidden tab of the Steam browser, the Console tab. At the bottom of the page will be a command line. The general format for the command is:

download_depot [App ID] [Depot ID] [Manifest ID]

For Starfield, the App ID is 1716740, and the Depot ID for the updates is 1716741. The Manifest ID is for the specific patch you wish to download. The Manifest IDs are documented on SteamDB. For example, at time of writing they currently are 4447793252473787578, 8383043874900915235, and 3276175983502685135. If you wanted version 1.7.29, you would input:

download_depot 1716740 1716741 8383043874900915235

If you wanted the files for the initial release, you would input the command:

download_depot 1716740 1716741 4447793252473787578

Once the command is inputted, Steam will download the depot. You will be able to tell it worked by this appearing in the console log after your command (this example being for the initial release of the game):

Downloading depot 1716741 (27 MB) ...

Followed by:

Depot download complete : "[Steam Download Path]Steam\steamapps\content\app_1716740\depot_1716741" (21 files, manifest 4447793252473787578)

Note that the exact location of your download location will change depending on where you installed Steam, but as the log helpfully tells you where that is it should not be hard to find. Go to the folder listed there, and extract its contents to your Starfield install location. Replace all files with the files from the depot, and you will have successfully reverted to a previous version of the game. When you start the game, it will be this earlier version once more.

Keep in mind that reverting to a previous version on a save that was created on a more recent version is likely to cause issues, if it works at all.

Grandpa's Farm — optional farm map available with Stardew Valley Expanded. Pretty much the only map I play with.

More New Fish — adds 140 new fish all across the map.

Cornucopia More Crops — adds over 90 new crops and 35 new trees. I moved to this when PPJA did not get updated for 1.6.

Cornucopia More Flowers — adds over 40 new flowers and 5 new flowering trees to the game. Again, moved to this after PPJA was discontinued.

Auto Animal Doors — automatically releases your animals from the buildings at a set time each day, and then locks the buildings back up at another set time.

Automatic Gates — for those of us too lazy to open/shut gates.

Better Friendship — adds a bubble above the heads of NPCs informing you if you've spoken with them today and what in your current inventory they might like to receive as a gift.

Better Ranching — adds a bubble above the heads of farm animals informing you if they need petted and/or milked/sheered/whatever.

Chests Anywhere — access your chests from anywhere on the map, or from select locations as set up in the config.

CJB Cheats Menu — a GUI to access various console commands. I mostly use it to freeze time while decorating or to warp to certain locations prior to unlocking the minecarts, because with as many expansions as I have, it takes for-freaking-ever to walk everywhere.

CJB Show Item Sell Price — shows a tooltip telling you how much an item (or stack of items) would sell for.

More Warp Points (CJB Cheats Menu) — adds in warp points for various expansions.

Event Lookup — canNOT live without this one. Allows you to lookup what heart events are available that day, and what time/location you need to be to trigger them. If you go into your social menu and click on a character, you can also see which of their events you have/haven't seen, and if you want to see the requirements for a heart event, you can click on said event for it to list the requirements.

Generic Mod Config Menu — sets up a GUI in-game to allow you to set up config files for your mods.

Happy Birthday — gives your farmer an actual birthday in-game. NPCs will wish you a happy birthday and give you gifts. Some people will even throw you a party!

Harvest Seeds — gives you a configurable % chance of getting seeds whenever you harvest your crops.

Integrated Minecarts — adds additional minecarts around the vanilla map and to different expansions where applicable.

Lookup Anything — for those of us tired of constantly using the wiki (or who have so many mods the wiki is no longer accurate), this pulls information from in-game.
