Alright, theory about Chess Choco Cookie and their origins: they’re from a noble house from the Shattered Kingdom

Now, while nothing Chess Choco says themselves indicate anything about this, I instead got this from Earl Grey’s lines

First off, let’s look at the description for his new Costume

It says that his outfit is based on the head butler of a high class family from a romance novel. I know before I said something about it possibly relating to his own family, but more likely it’s a reference to his role serving Chess Choco, which would make them part of the high class family in this scenario

Then there’s some other quotes of his that sort of imply they come from high standing

In this one, he refers to them as the “house of Chess Choco Cookie”. Now from what I’ve seen in the games, usually when someone refers to the “house of” a Cookie, they tend to mean they come from a noble house, like Raspberry Cookie with House Raspberry

There are also a few lines from his costume that could point to this (I don’t have it yet so I’m just pulling from the Wiki), specifically the “I only serve one family…” and “for a noble family, gold suits better than silver” lines, but also they might just be references to the whole butler shtick, so take it with a grain of salt

Also there’s the whole chess thing (I’m trying to figure out how to explain what I mean, but I can’t. But basically it feels like cookies associated with chess would probably be of a higher standing, yeah?)

But anyways, assuming this is true, then my guess is after the kingdom fell, the family had no more power and at some point scattered, eventually leaving Chess Choco homeless like we saw in their flashback

Also this point I suppose doesn’t necessarily have to do with Chess Choco being noble or not, just that they come from the Shattered Kingdom, but I think I’ve figured out why Chess Choco says what they do about Dark Choco in their relationship chart

It’s probably because he was their prince and from what it seems, someone pretty renowned in the land. They probably admire him because of that and it would just make sense that they’d want to meet the royalty of their former homeland

I don’t know how much of a shocker that idea is, it’s just a personal thing I guess. Realizing why they actually say it instead of my brain overthinking things for the sake of my hyperfixations
