Fresh Out The Slammer
A questionable kidnapping leads to a revenge plan backfiring (fluff).
Lorenzo Berkshire x f!Reader
Warning: fluff, one use of y/n, cursing, mildly violent thoughts. Has one magical rule that’s not canon, using my creative license here to drive the plot. Based on the Taylor Swift song with the same title.

“I need to see my Cormyyy!” You whined, trying to twist away from Enzo’s grip on your shoulders as he led you down the hall.
Mattheo saw you struggling against Enzo and walked towards the two of you with a smirk. “We’ve been through a lot of shenanigans over the years, but I never imagined kidnapping would be one of them,” he whispered to Enzo as he and Blaise joined you.
“Stop sounding so pleased,” Blaise chided Mattheo.
“Cormac, that wanker had the gall to give y/n Amortentia the day after she publicly broke up with him. I’ve got to help her,” Enzo whispered back, explaining.
“Enzie’s got a little crush,” Mattheo teased, poking him on his side.
“Piss off if you’re not going to help,” Enzo huffed.
“What are you whispering about? Take me to my Cormyy!” You whined.
“Nothing, your bloody Cormy is right this way,” Enzo replied quickly. He grit his teeth as he fantasized a literally bloody Cormac after he beat him up with his fists.
Never mind the amusement and hope he felt when he witnessed you finally come to your senses and realize what a tosser Cormac was. All that was crushed when the potion took over your mind tonight and you forgot you asked Enzo to meet up because you needed to tell him something.
“Theo would know what to do,” Mattheo suggested.
“I just saw him at the common room,” Blaise added and the four of you headed there.
Theo looked up from his book when you approached. Noticing the struggling girl, he lifted his eyebrow, “we’re kidnapping now?”
“Who’s being kidnapped? I’m here to see my darling, Cormyy!” You squealed, clasping your hands together, giggling at the thought of how wonderful he was. Theo’s eyes widened, he was with Enzo when they watched you dump him.
“We need your help,” Enzo declared.
“Clearly,” Theo said, thinking through his knowledge of Amortentia. You weren’t exactly friends with the infamous Slytherin boys, but Enzo had drooled over you, his partner in Divination class, long enough for them to know about you.
“Do you know how we can undo the potion’s effects?” Enzo asked.
“Well it would take too long to brew an antidote and we don’t know if we can get all the ingredients,” he replied.
Theo’s knee bounced as he willed himself to remember something useful. “Some texts say that because Amortentia cannot actually produce real love, a kiss from someone who loves her might break the spell.” At least that’s what Theo probably read, the gears in his mind continued spinning as Enzo approached you.
Everyone looked at Enzo expectantly and his cheeks blushed. “Come on, you did not go through all this trouble just because she’s your Divination partner,” Mattheo encouraged.
“Okay,” Enzo approached you and you scrunched up your eyebrows in confusion. “I’ll take you to Cormac after this. I just have to save you first. Also because I want to,” he admitted, “but if you hate it then punch me or hex me when you’re better.” Before his words could sink in, his lips were on you.
“Wait!” Theo called out, “I remembered it wrong. It has to be someone she loves! Not the other way around.” Enzo quickly pulled away, but it was too late. He did not need to get rejected indirectly by a potion. Never mind you hexing him, he might as well hex himself in shame.
That was until you blinked. You placed your hand on your head as the world spun for a second and Enzo quickly caught you. “Bloody potion,” you spat, wrinkling your nose in disgust as you recalled your potion-induced obsession.
Blaise grabbed Mattheo and Theo’s arm, leading them to the dorms. “Come on, seems there are things they need to discuss.”
“Then we beat up Cormac,” Mattheo called back.
“Count me in!” You exclaimed as you stood upright.
“She’s a keeper!” Mattheo mock whispered to Enzo, pointing at you.
Enzo chuckled, “already looking for trouble?”
“Oh my punches won’t just be for the potion. When I’m done with Cormy,” you shuddered at the nickname, “he’d regret even breathing in my direction.”
“Before that, can we talk about what happened?” Enzo asked. “You said you wanted to tell me something tonight?”
You blushed, your anger giving way to butterflies in your stomach. “Well, the potion probably said it better than I could have,” you recalled Theo’s words just as the potion released you from its grip. “I really like you, Enzo. I broke up with Cormac when I realized that. He may have actually helped me with his foolishness. Maybe I should thank him,” you considered.
“No,” you decided after a moment, “I still want to beat him up.” Enzo chuckled in response.
“Don’t worry, we’ll deal with him. First,” he said moving closer to you, “I really like you too. We make such a great team in class, I’d love to see what else we’d be good at as partners. For instance, are you certain the potion completely lost its effect? Maybe we should break the spell again a few more times to be sure.”
Your eyes glinted with mischief and desire. “Oh yes, we need to be thorough,” you agreed as his lips crashed into yours.

Congratulations! You've been given the opportunity to create a brand new NPC for vanilla Skyrim, completely with vanilla bugs.
Who would this person be? How did they get to Skyrim? What are some funny things they might say in passing? Would they be a follower -- and if so, how would they fight? If not, why? and are they safe? Feel free to elaborate and answer unasked questions about this critter. (: This can be related to your fic(s) and/or existing OCs or completely separate just for fun.
I wasn't tagged by anyone, but this looks like fun, so I'm doing it anyways :')
Her name is Invidiosa Maledictio, and she is just a normal Imperial mage doing normal Imperial mage things. Really. She lives in a modest shack near Ivarstead, and can be found outside during the day tending her chickens and her small garden (she lives self-sufficiently), but you can't sell her her own produce. In the late afternoon/evening, she goes back inside, where she sits and eats in front of a huge bookcase, occasionally casting candlelight or a low-level healing spell. At around 10 pm she goes down into her Top Secret basement that is conveniently hidden behind a chest, but you can't access it, as it requires a key, which for some reason can't be pickpocketed from her. She only sleeps for three hours every night.
If you talk to Invidiosa, you will learn that she has a deep grudge against one particular imperial soldier, but she never tells you their name, nor what they did to her. She asks you to kill them and bring back their skull as prove. From then on, every dead Imperial will have a skull in their inventory, but the quest will only update once you find the *right* skull. This may take some time, as the *right* Imperial will only spawn as a random encounter somewhere in the Reach. She will give you 5000 gold for bringing back the *right* skull. While this quest is active, if you give her any other skull, she will just say that it isn't the *right* one, but will still gladly accept it and give you 200 gold per skull. When you finish her quest, Invidiosa becomes a follower and a potential marriage candidate, and she will even unlock her basement for you! She also still accepts skulls, and will give you a neat 300 gold each.
If you decide to check out her basement, you will see that it consists of two rooms. In the first room, you'll find an arcane enchanter and an alchemy lab, as well as different ingredients, potions, and soul gems that you can take for free and use to create powerful gear and potions! This is also where she spends most of her time when she's in her basement during the night. In the next room, you'll find- oh. Oh. Huh. So this is where she stashes all the skulls you gave her. Interesting. Depending on how many skulls you brought her, this room may have more or less skulls, but taking a skull from there is considered stealing. If Invidiosa is with you in her basement, she will just say that "you shouldn't worry about these" and that "you two are friends now, and friends have each other's backs, right?". If you decide that you don't like this and you don't want to be friends with a skull-hoarder, and you subsequently attack her, be prepared for a tough fight, as she will unleash her high-level conjuration and destruction spells on you. Once she's out of magicka, you might think that you're safe because she only uses her fists to fight, but then you realize that she wears gloves with a glitched fortify unarmed damage enchantment, and she pretty much insta-kills you.
As a follower, Invidiosa will comment on pretty much every location you go to. She will feel the most comfortable in caves as well as crypts, where she will ask you if "you've found any skulls yet?" to "expand her collection". However, she absolutely hates Solitude and wants to stay far, far away from it, implying that there's someone else there she has a grudge against. She will also be reluctant to go to the College of Winterhold with you. Invidiosa has three idle lines that she likes to say over and over again when she's not in combat ("I heard there's a crypt not far from here. Let's check it out!", "You're the only one I can trust, and I'm glad to have you by my side" and "If you're dead, can I have your skull? I'd get a nice pedestal and decorate it with flowers..."). Speaking of combat, for some reason, her enchanted gloves suddenly un-glitch, which means that she (sadly) isn't able to insta-kill enemies with her fists. However, if you decide to attack her and she leaves your service, her gloves will once again glitch. You can't kill her because she's essential for some reason (likely a left-over from a cut quest).
As a spouse, Invidiosa will lose almost all of her individuality like any other spouse. She will still have preferences for where you two decide to live; she will absolutely hate Solitude with a burning passion and will ask you to move out anytime you talk to her (this is her only line), but will love any of the Hearthfire homes. She can be found at the alchemy lab or arcane enchanter if you have them in your home. Otherwise, she will just stand or sit around all day. She also sleeps more than three hours now.

i don't think i'll tag anyone, just do it if you really want to 💪
#this was inspired by my horrible addiction to skull-hoarding#(in-game)#tes#tesblr#skyrim#oc: invidiosa maledictio#i've litterally just created her for this lol#but now i kinda want to play her?#maybe expand her backstory a little bit#tag game#is it still a tag game if no-one tagged you? ehh whatever#tiredeltalks#(also i apologize for any grammatical errors english is not my first language!)

Miscommunication (pt.2)
James Potter x Remus Lupin x Sirius Black x Fem! Reader
Warnings: Language. Poly! relationship.
A/N: Part 1 is here!
Word Count: 3,376
“But that doesn’t mean I don’t care about you.”
It had been three weeks since you had stormed out of the boys’ dorm in a scurry of anger. It had also been three weeks since you had touched, talked to, or even spared Sirius a passing glance. As far as you were concerned, he didn’t even exist. Despite your dramatic exit, Sirius was confident that you’d crack soon enough and come running back to him, begging for forgiveness. But the more time that passed, the more that he was beginning to realize that might not be the case.
In a general sense, life continued on as it always had. You walked through the Hogwarts’ corridors with the three Gryffindors, laughing at James’ jokes and blushing red under Remus’ kisses. You gave all your love and time to James and Remus, not offering Sirius a drop of your attention.
He tried to ignore it. He tried to brush it off like it didn’t bother him and like it didn’t make a difference whether you were with him or not. His attempts to drown you out the way you had been drowning him out were successful at first, but it only took about a week for him to realize how much this was killing him.
In the mornings, you woke James or Remus up (depending on whose bed you slept in the night before) with bubbly kisses and sweet giggles, something that you had always done for all three of the boys’ wake up calls. Sirius had gone almost 23 days (but not like he was COUNTING or anything) since he had any kind of interaction with you.
No cuddles.
No hugs.
No kisses.
Nothing.
The whole situation put James and Remus into a bit of an awkward position. You were on great terms with the two of them, considering they hadn’t insulted you and invalidated your feelings right in your face. This was a difficult challenge to tackle, because they felt guilty for continuing to love up on you when Sirius wasn’t getting his usual share. This was a rather particular arrangement that had taken lots of trial and error to make the right adjustments. Now that the balance had been thrown off, the whole thing didn’t feel right.
James and Remus had both tried to convince you to talk things out with Sirius. They knew that deep down this wasn’t what you wanted, and things couldn’t go on like this forever. James and Remus knew Sirius better than anybody. They were fully aware that Sirius was regretting what he had done and was kicking himself for it...even if Sirius wouldn’t show it or admit to it.
Sirius was beginning to lose precious sleep over this. He tossed and turned in his bed that had grown so lonely without you. His arms felt so empty not being wrapped around you, holding you snugly to his body. Suddenly, he didn’t have anyone to help him with his Potions homework or someone to remind him about his Transfiguration exam coming up. He didn’t have the girl that completed the complex puzzle that was Sirius Black. He felt so unfinished without you.
He missed you.
But his pride was winning out.
“How’s the brat today?” Sirius questioned dryly, not even looking up from his Herbology textbook in his lap.
“Sirius.” Remus and James echoed, clearly displeased at Sirius’ cold name for you.
Over the last three weeks, Sirius would ask about you when you weren’t around and he was alone with the boys. He would ask how you were doing, but what he really wanted to know was if you had said anything about him or given any indications that you were close to giving in. James and Remus were growing impatient with Sirius. They had tried to step back, allowing both yourself and Sirius to have time to allow your fog of frustration to air out. They had hoped that Sirius would come around to realize that he had been wrong in all kinds of ways, and you both could work it out on your own.
Between stepping all over your feelings like they were a sidewalk and calling you a bitch for being rightfully upset, Sirius had one too many strikeouts on his record.
“What? If she’s going to act like a child, then I’ll treat her like one.” Sirius growled.
James crossed his arms over his chest, leaning back in the chair that he was sitting in by the common room’s fireplace. Remus watched the two of them from over the rim of his cup that contained his favorite hot tea.
“She’s hurt, Sirius. You hurt her,” James snarled, eyebrows furrowed in agitation, “I don’t blame her for not wanting to talk to you.”
“Did you not hear the things she said to me? She was totally out of line.” Sirius argued, his demeanor going rigid and his defensive mode kicking into high gear.
“Because you pushed her too hard,” Remus cut in, “She has every right to be upset.”
Sirius was shocked that they were taking your side over his. You were never allowed to speak to any of them the way you had talked to Sirius that day. You weren’t allowed to talk back, get an attitude, touch yourself without permission, as well as other rules that had been established early on in the relationship. They all took the rules very seriously, and the fact that James and Remus were brushing it off was mind boggling to Sirius.
“I didn’t push her at all. She caught an attitude with me.” Sirius remarked tossing his textbook aside.
“Because you don’t always treat her the way you should,” Remus snapped, “All she wanted was for you to listen and talk to her.”
“Do I not already do enough for her? I walk her to class, I let her sleep with me, not to mention that I fuck her pretty much whenever she wants,” Sirius pointed out, “And now I’m still not doing enough?”
James shook his head, sighing harshly. He was disappointed that he still wasn’t getting it.
“She’s our girl, Padfoot. She responds so well to Moony and me because she knows how much we love her,” James explained, “You’ve got to start treating her like you love her.”
Sirius’ hardened features went light at what James was saying. He looked between his two best friends, who were sharing matching expressions of urgency. Sirius felt a sickening feeling creeping into his stomach that he could feel all the way up into his throat. Had you gone this whole time thinking that he didn’t love you like the other two did?
“But...I do love her.” Sirius spoke, almost in a whisper.
James and Remus looked at one another briefly, a bit relieved that he was maybe starting to see clearly now.
“She doesn’t know that. You’re going to lose her for good if you don’t change some things, Pads.” Remus added once he saw that Sirius was beginning to have a serious breakthrough moment.
That surely got Sirius’ attention. That wasn’t something he wanted at all. It made his heart hurt even to think about possibly never being with you again. He had to fix this, no matter what he had to do or say.
He just hoped that it wasn’t too late.
The remorse and the contrition that he was feeling that had been building up in him over the last three weeks was finally seeping through the cracks of the surface. It was like a fire that just kept spreading and spreading until the only thing he could see were the hot, orange flames and black smoke that would suffocate him if he breathed in too hard. It was like a switch had flipped. He couldn’t stand it anymore. He didn’t care about his pride or his image or his dignity.
He just wanted you back.
So, the boys began to devise a plan. Sirius admitted that he didn’t know how to even begin apologizing to you. He wasn’t great with apologies, considering that even the word ‘sorry’ probably had only fallen from his mouth only a couple of times in his life. This was going to take some calculation and planning to get it right.
You had been doing a bang up job of ensuring that you weren’t ever alone with Sirius. You made sure that either James or Remus was by your side whenever you were in Sirius’ presence, to avoid being forced to speak to him. Remus and James were confident that they could get you two in a room alone together. That was the easy part. The hard part would fall to Sirius, which came down to the actual apology.
James and Remus knew you’d be suspicious if Sirius apologized first. You’d likely only think he was apologizing because he was touch starved and wanted sex, not because he cared about you and was terrified of losing you. In their eyes though, as long as he was honest and didn’t lose his cool, you’d be able to see his real intentions.
Remus had told you to meet him in their dorm, and that no one would be there until later in the day. That seemed pretty normal to you, so you didn’t even give it a second thought. The dorm was empty when you arrived, prompting you to slip out of your uniform and into one of Remus’ sweaters all while getting comfortable on his bed. Shortly after you were settled, the three boys congregated just outside the door, whispering in their semi-circle formation.
“You got this, mate. Just be normal and be honest,” James instructed, “I guarantee you that she’s missing you just as much.”
Sirius was nervous. Not because he didn’t know what to say or what to do, but because he had half convinced himself that you had already decided he wasn’t worth your time anymore. He couldn’t live with himself if he was the reason you had left him.
“We’ll be out here just in case you need us,” Remus piped up, “It’s gonna be fine, Pads.”
James and Remus gave Sirius reassuring grins as Sirius took a deep breath before turning the knob of the door. He entered the small dorm room, his heart fluttering when he saw you sitting on Remus’ mattress. Your head snapped up, your face full of delightful expectation for Remus, but it faded just as fast as it came when you saw it was Sirius. He definitely noticed, but tried not to take it to heart. Your eyes were locked in with his, and you could already tell something was up.
“Hey.” Sirius said plainly, and in a bit of a squeak.
“Hi.” You replied.
He was honestly surprised that you actually gave him an answer. He thought you might’ve ignored him completely. The joyous relief that he felt from you actually talking to him was almost enough to send him to his knees, pleading for you to give him another chance.
His gaze did shift to the book that was placed next to you. It was your Herbology textbook, the same one that Sirius had been studying from earlier that day.
“Studying for Herbology?” Sirius asked, but obviously that wasn’t what he wanted to talk about.
“Yeah,” You answered, unsure of what exactly was happening, “I was just waiting for Remus.”
Sirius nodded, avoiding the sting that burned in his chest at the reminder that he hadn’t truly seen you in almost a month. You looked so comfortable in the large sweater and the blanket that was draped over your lap. Your hair was slightly messy from the breeze outside that you had walked through to get here. Your skin was glowing from the warmth of their room and the sudden interaction you were having with Sirius.
You looked perfect to him.
He knew he needed to say something now. He needed to kick start this conversation before things got awkward and weird. Although, he never minded silence as long as he had you to occupy his every thought. All the things that he had planned to say were abruptly wiped from his mind. He was going out on a limb here, totally about to wing this. He just had to go for it.
“Can I sit?” He questioned, referring to the slight open space next to you.
You nodded hesitantly, shifting over so he could have a little more room. He sat down just about a foot in front of you, both of you turning to face each other. James and Remus were just outside the door, their ears pressed up against the door to be sure they didn’t miss anything.
Sirius looked at you for a few moments, taking in your curious, attentive behavior. He took a breath, and spoke again, but it came out as more of a ramble.
“Baby, I know I’ve hurt your feelings. I didn’t want or mean to hurt your feelings, but sometimes I just say stupid shit and then I’m too proud to admit that I said something stupid and...” He trailed off when he realized that so far he wasn’t saying anything that you didn’t already know.
This was yet another reminder that Sirius wasn’t a great talker. But he wanted to let you know the things that you didn’t already know. He wanted you to know that he was truly sorry. He was sorry for ever making you feel like you weren’t worth anything to him.
He wanted you to know that you were his world.
“I miss you,” He began again, preparing for any possible reaction from you, “I’m sorry for everything I said. I’m sorry that I hurt you...I never, ever wanted to do that.”
Your silence wasn’t because you weren’t believing what he was saying or because you didn’t want to listen. You were silent because you were floored that this was happening. Never in a million years did you think that you’d be sitting here listening to a real, heartfelt apology from Sirius Black. The thought of you leaving him had really scared him, and you could see it.
“I know I’m different from Moony and Prongs. They’re a bit better at this than I am,” He admitted, “But that doesn’t mean I don’t care about you.”
Truth be told, you weren’t really mad at Sirius anymore. You could never stay angry at him. Your whole avoid-Sirius-at-all-costs routine hadn’t exactly been a walk in the park for you either. There were several times where you were tempted to just let it go and forget about it. But now you were glad that you hadn’t done that, because you would’ve lost this opportunity to understand one another a little better.
“All I had wanted that day was to talk to you. I like talking to you,” You explained, “I just get frustrated when you don’t want to listen and the only thing you can think about is fucking me.”
Sirius sighed, his eyes diverting to his hands that were fiddling with the edge of the blanket in your lap. He had known that the other two boys were right, but hearing it come from you made him feel even more guilty.
“I know. I guess I’m just not good at talking. It’s not that I didn’t want to, it’s just...not what I’m good at. I’m sorry that I made you feel like you weren’t important,” Sirius confessed, “But I do love you. And I don’t want to go another day without you.”
Another silence filled the room, one that had Sirius’ heart pounding in his chest. He felt like his entire life was on the line. Like, his entire fate was resting on whatever you were going to say or do next. You had every right to get up and walk out and never speak to him again. He knew he had crossed so many lines so many times that it was a wonder you were still here. He just hoped that you’d give him another chance. He hoped that he deserved another chance.
You were starstruck. You were completely touched and moved by what he had said. Maybe it wasn’t the most flawless apology ever. Maybe it was a little rough around the edges with a couple of hiccups. But deep down it was true, honest, and pure.
Just like the Sirius Black that you had come to love.
He didn’t have anything else to say, and he hoped that what he had said was enough. Your warm hand came to his face, his head lulling into your palm when you brought his worried eyes to look at you once more.
“I love you. I promise you don’t have to go without me anymore.” You smiled, accepting his apology and offering your forgiveness.
All color returned to Sirius’ face, his shoulders relaxing and his chest releasing a bated breath. You captured his lips into a needy kiss, one that was nothing short of long awaited. Sirius’ hands came to the side of your neck, his blood pumping in his ears. He had missed this.
He had missed you.
He was even more thrilled when you crawled over into his lap, his hands guiding your legs around him as he refused to let you go from his lips. Although, when the other two boys came bursting in, your hot make out session was forced to a halt. They came in as if they had no idea what was going on, fake surprised expressions plastered on their faces.
“Well, hello there.” James chided with a smirk.
“Did we miss something?” Remus asked.
You and Sirius only laughed, as the four of you crammed together on Remus’ bed. Sirius continued to pepper kisses wherever he could while you craned your head to look at James as he spoke.
“So, I guess the two of you got things worked out?” James acquired.
“We sure did.” You smiled, giggling when Sirius’ kisses brushed against a particularly sensitive spot on your neck.
Your lips found his again, Sirius leaning you back onto the mattress and keeping secured there. When your breathing began to get heavy and your noises became a little hungrier, James and Remus announced their exit.
“Well, I suppose Prongs and I will leave you to it.” Remus winked.
Sirius broke the kiss only to respond, but that didn’t stop you from leaning upwards to suck on his pulse point, not even phased by what Remus had said.
“You two aren’t going to stick around?” Sirius wondered, groaning as your hips rolled into his quickly hardening dick through his pants.
James shrugged.
“We’ll let it slide this time,” He said triumphantly, ushering Remus out the door, “Besides, the two of you have some catching up to do.”
Sirius let out a guttural laugh as he took a moment to look down at you. You looked so beautiful sprawled out underneath him; your lips swollen from the kissing and your eyes blown with lustful expectation. He knew he’d never be able to take you for granted again.
“My pretty girl...” He mewled, “I love you. A million times over I’ll tell you that I love you.”
“I love you, Siri,” You hummed, swiping a loose piece of hair from his forehead, “Now make me cum the way I know you know how to.”
Sirius chuckled lowly at your boldness, his pupils dilating at the flush of arousal that sent through him. You knew better than to tell him how to run his show, but he knew this was a special occasion, so he didn’t mind taking an order or two.
“Well, now, what happened to ‘sex doesn’t fix everything’?” Sirius joked.
“It doesn’t, but we already fixed what needed to be fixed by talking,” You smiled, “Now we just both get something we want.”
Sirius laughed out loud, continuing his shower of kisses and swiping your skirt off in one swift move, your body squirming with anticipation. He felt confident that things would be better now. He was more than thankful that he had another shot at this. He was happy he had you back, and the four of you could go back to normal.
And now things would be even better than before.

How do you think Last Legacy characters would play Minecraft?
Hmmm, interesting question! Let's find out, shall we? :)
Last Legacy Cast Playing Minecraft
Felix
Wizard Boy leans into the Wizard Aesthetic, shocking.
This man absolutely lives in a gigantic tower/castle.
He would enjoy the designing part of the game. I think it's relaxing for him to just be able to go worry about nothing but building whatever his heart desires for hours at a time.
Definitely plays in creative most of the time. Has an entire village he's been working on for years. It has a lot of different building styles and aesthetics and most of the buildings are only half-finished but eh, it's fun.
Joins a server because his friends pestered him into it and immediately decides to have fun with it. Becomes that weird wizard dude.
Lives in a huuuuge tower, in the middle of a dense forest/swamp. Definitely has a moat. Has various traps and hidden doors throughout the bottom half of the tower. Stunning place, though, looks very mystical and ancient.
Has the best enchanting area in the entire server, and he made sure of this. I mean the man went through some serious effort here.
Also has an entire level of his tower dedicated to potions. Can brew so many at once. Has an entire wall lined with chests that he keeps all of them in. Almost always has them in stock.
He did all of this hard work so he wouldn't have to do any work. He's made the tower borderline impenetrable, but he can teleport to the top of it. Barters with people using his magic. Makes you bring him whatever he needs before he'll either teleport you up into his tower or get you what you need himself
Mostly spends his time in creative and pops on there whenever someone messages him and tells him he's needed.
Has a black and white cat that follows him around. Doesn't know how it got there, he never tamed it. Doesn't matter what world he's in, the cat spawns in with him and is functionally immortal.
Sage
Chaotic boy is chaotic.
PVP master. Ish. He's not unbeatable, but he's really strong.
Works hard to get himself the best gear. Has a monster farm near his base to get all the experience.
He has an enchanting table but literally never uses it because he has like, three bookshelves and he always just goes to Felix
Plays on a server 90% of the time and is that chaotic idiot who will break into your base and steal your stuff, maybe break it/burn it down in the process.
Won't kill animals. Even if he burns your base down he'll painstakingly shove your dog outside and give it a bone or five before he leaves.
Look this man has an unreasonable amount of pet stuff okay. Always has bones and fish, if nothing else. If you have a pet and he steals from you, he'll leave those in the place of what he took.
He has a literal army of dogs and if you mess with them oh, there will be war.
Has a secret account on the same server where he does as much good as he possibly can for the community. Whenever he's feeling down he logs on and runs around helping people out because their praise makes him feel much better :)
Yes, his minecraft skin has the ears & tail. His friends joke that you can summon him using fish, bones, and/or weapons. They did it once at his house as a joke because they were bored and he happened to log in, so now everyone is solidly convinced that it works.
Anisa
Probably the server admin.
She enjoys the worldbuilding but she primarily focuses on keeping everything running smoothly.
She's the one who makes and enforces all of the rules.
Enjoys running around in creative mode, mostly because Sage tries to kill her on sight purely to mess with her.
She's a pretty good fighter when it comes down to it, but Sage can beat her because he's mastered the PVP in this game. Doesn't matter when she has access to commands that can instakill him, so she still comes out on top most of the time.
Literally ventured off to the corner of the map once and built some kind of huge maze prison thing, and has taken to teleporting Sage or anyone else who bothers her there. Have fun :)
Needs to relax honestly, c'mon Annie.
Has a little farm that she tends to relax, and will sell or trade her goods to the others in the server.
Don't mess with her. Seriously. Sage and Rime burned her house down once as a prank and they was banned from the server for a solid month before she decided they'd apologized enough to rejoin.
Probably really good at the fancy coding stuff. Uses redstone. Might have even made a couple of mods. Made one mod specifically to launch Sage to the other side of the map if he sets foot on her property, even when she's offline.
Rime
Also chaos incarnate.
If your base gets robbed or destroyed it was probably either him or Sage, who knows? Has also started leaving bones and fish or whatever just so he can pin it on Sage.
Has a perpetual rivalry going with Sage and several other people. Endless prank wars.
Rime is really good at making traps and will spend so, so much time in the dead of night when he knows Sage is asleep booby-trapping his house so that as soon as he takes a step or opens a door or something the whole place explodes
He's the type to mass-produce T&T. Literally went to the End just to get himself a shulker box or two to keep them all in because he isn't dumb enough to just leave them in chests.
He isn't as good of a fighter as most of the others but he's absolutely ruthless. Keeps well stocked with potions. His favorite are the invisibility potions, because he can just disappear and stab you a bunch until you die.
Rime is 100% that weirdo who has a base that isn't in the main world. I think he'd choose the nether over the end, for the sheer aesthetics. He also has a suuuuper fancy base though, and several animals that no one is quite sure how he managed to get over there.
It's like home alone near there though so watch out man. Rime has enemies and he knows it.
He's had several alternate accounts where he tries to be a Nice Good Member of Society but he somehow always gets caught. It's just so obvious that it's him. He's too chaotic to disguise himself that well.
Has a secret creative world where he plays around to relax. Builds stuff if he feels like it, raises animals... happy lil deer farmer boy.
Elowen
Elowen is also in on the rivalry, though she's a little less aggressive about it. For the most part she lets Rime and Sage fight it out, often meddling in the chaos. She'll play pranks on one or both of them in the style of the other to spark more drama to watch.
She occasionally teams up with either Sage or Rime just for fun. Sometimes she'll team up with Anisa and/or Felix to take them both down at once, when they've gotten especially annoying.
Is the one person who can best Sage at PVP every time, and she takes pride in this. She's honestly not even as powerful as he is, she's just a really good fighter and she knows his weaknesses.
Not a big fan of farming. She prefers to just hunt animals for her food or barter with others. Is often paid in food for her assistance in fights.
Has a secret base deep in the end somewhere, well-hidden and protected. She knows the people she's playing with far too well, and prefers to keep the important stuff on her so it won't get stolen.
She also hides her things. She'll wander off to the middle of nowhere, dig deep down and bury a chest, then write down the coordinates alongside what she buried in a physical notebook. It's rather inconvenient if she needs them immediately, but she actually possesses the most valuable resources simply because they aren't continuously being stolen or destroyed in the endless prank war.
Tulsi
Tulsi is a builder. 110%. She has a massive plot of land that she's claimed away from the main hub of the server, and she spends her time gathering resources and making the most impressive things people have ever seen.
Her base is beautiful, and ridiculously elaborate. She spent way too much time swimming in the nearest body of water, hunting for specific fish to stick in the gigantic aquarium she has in her living room.
The woman has a zoo. She built unique enclosures for all the different animals. Charges admission to get in and visit them. It's not much, and she'll accept all kinds of things as currency, from your standard diamonds to building materials. If you capture a rare animal for her, you have a free pass for life.
She's the most respected person on the server, and the only one immune from the prank war. It's an unspoken rule of the server that no one is to mess with Tulsi. Her buildings are too beautiful to destroy, and she has so much time invested in them. Plus, she often builds things for others, and she makes the server prettier by installing paths and such and building up a little downtown area for shops and the like.
Sage occasionally messes with her from time to time, but he's extremely careful to never do any actual damage-- once he spent an hour rearranging all of the supplies in her massive chest room. Another time he stole the animal she'd just spent so much time and effort getting, only to return it the next day as if nothing had happened. He's also flooded her animal enclosures and builds with common animals, often bunnies, though he's used cats and chickens before as well. He's the only one allowed to do this because he's her brother, and she always gets him back for it.
I know you'd think that she'd be in the weapon business in minecraft as well, but I don't think so. She tried it once. It's too boring for her, making the exact same things every single time, and just throwing different enchantments on them... no. The reason she enjoys her work so much is because she gets to make something, and every one of her pieces is unique and wonderful. The best way that translates into minecraft is building, because she gets to put her creativity skills to the test. Plus, it takes so much time, especially on survival worlds, and the woman has the patience of a saint.
Anisa gave her the ability to use creative mode, because she can be trusted not to abuse it, and it'll let Tulsi build so much more easily. Plus it means she can fly away from the idiocy.

good girls (m) | slytherin!hyuck
pairing: slytherin!donghyuck x ravenclaw!reader
words: 4k+
summary: donghyuck thinks you’re the most perfect, little goody-two-shoes head girl who’s ever walked the halls of hogwarts. that is, until he finds out you’ve fucked na jaemin in the back of the library.
genre: fluff, smut
warnings: public sex, overstimulation, creampies, degradation, riding
yes this is inspired by ‘good girls’ from 5sos.. how did you know?
“Leave me alone, Donghyuck.”
The Slytherin boy insists on following you, weaving his way through the shelves of the library simply just to annoy you. You’re sure Donghyuck has made it his goal to get under your skin this year, just as he has done in years prior. Luckily, the both of you are reaching the end of your time at Hogwarts, so it shouldn’t be long before he completely disappears from your life.
“What’s wrong? I’m just asking you for Potions help.”
You glare at him as you reach for another book you need to study. Since your father was the Potions professor, Donghyuck always assumed you would be able to help him cheat on upcoming tests. His version of help was always laced with just tell me the answer.
“I’m not telling you anything,” you hiss lowly, scurrying away in an attempt to get him to leave. You’re unsuccessful, of course, as he trails behind you when you reach your desk.
“Will you at least come to the Quidditch game this weekend?” He smirks, placing his hands on the table and leaning over to grin sleazily at you. You roll your eyes, getting situated in your seat as you open your Charms textbook.
“I’m not interested in watching Quidditch.”
He narrows his eyes. “Don’t lie. I saw you in the stands last weekend with Renjun.”
“Fine. I’m not interested in watching you play Quidditch.”
He scoffs. “Whatever. Just let me know when goody-two-shoes wants to come out of the library and have some fun.”
Donghyuck leaves you, finding Yangyang and Jeno in the Great Hall. The boys are laughing at the Slytherin table even though neither of them are actually a Slytherin. The rest of the table isn’t bothered by their presence.
Jeno snickers at the sight of Donghyuck’s long face when he sits next to him.
“Struck out again?”
“I didn’t strike out,” Donghyuck clarifies, although nobody is buying it. “It’s a slow process.”
“So you struck out?” Yangyang chuckles.
Donghyuck just rolls his eyes. “I’ll get there.”
Jeno glances back down at his Herbology textbook. “You should talk to Jaemin. I think they’re good friends.”
It’s hard to fathom that you would be friends with anybody, considering you spend most of your time in the library or helping your dad out in his office. Donghyuck’s tried really hard to get a sliver of your attention since First Year. He didn’t know exactly what it was that attracted him to you, but he supposes that you rejecting him kept spurring on his advances. You were also super fucking hot, and he almost passed out in Fourth Year when you showed up to the Yule Ball wearing a dress that still lingers in his dreams.
“How would Jaemin even-“
“Don’t ask me,” Jeno brushes off. “I’m studying.”
Donghyuck huffs before pulling out his own textbook. He supposes he should study too since you’re clearly not going to help him. He tends to zone out during most of his classes, mainly thinking about how sinful you look in your little skirt, how he could just rip your robes right off and-
Yangyang hits him upside the head. Donghyuck groans.
“Stop daydreaming and focus.”
The Slytherin boy grumbles but listens anyways, trying his best to focus on the History of Magic instead of imagining you bent over one of the desks in Potions class.
—
“If you’re not going because Donghyuck asked you to, then that’s just stupid. I don’t even understand why you’re in Ravenclaw.”
You glare at Renjun. He’s all dressed up in Ravenclaw gear, covered head to toe in a mountain of blue. You rarely attend Quidditch games unless Renjun drags your ass out there to watch.
“I don’t want to go today. Can’t you find someone else to come with you?”
“Nope. Only you,” he smiles. You’re not amused in the slightest bit. “Oh, I see. Is it because you don’t want to see Na Jaemin?”
“Jaemin and I are history, Renjun. Don’t need to dwell in the past.”
“You fucked him literally a month ago.”
You grab the nearest article of clothing near you and fling it at Renjun. Jisu grunts at the both of you.
“Holy fuck, I’m trying to study! Just go to the game and get the fuck out of our room!”
You grumble but listen to your roommate as she seems to grow more irate the longer Renjun stands in the doorway. He smiles in victory when you walk beside him to the Quidditch field. You ignore his glee while he babbles on about today’s game, wondering who’s going to reach victory.
You both find seats in the stands, and you feel embarrassed being here. After all, it was only a month ago when Jaemin fucked you in the Quidditch locker rooms. You managed to not get caught, but you wouldn’t hold it against Jaemin to tell the entire team what happened.
Jaemin wasn’t your boyfriend by any means. You two simply started to get closer this year and to release most of your frustration, you found yourself underneath him every once in a while. You ended it last month after Seojeong started to show an interest in dating him, and you didn’t want to interfere with the Hufflepuff’s advances. You haven’t spoken to Jaemin since then, only catching him eyeing you during Potions ever so often.
But now you see him as he mounts his broom, holding steady in the air as Slytherin’s Seeker. Your eyes are too focused on him to realize Donghyuck has been waving frantically for the last minute to try and get your attention.
Renjun elbows your side and you groan.
“What the fuck?”
He points to where Donghyuck is, just a few feet away from Jaemin in the air. You sigh and refuse to wave back at him, but Donghyuck still keeps his bright smile.
“Wouldn’t he be better as a commentator than a player?” You ask Renjun, knowing how fast Donghyuck can run his mouth.
“You’ll be surprised. Donghyuck’s really good. If I were on the team though, I think I would like to be Seeker,” Renjun muses.
You scoff. “Seeker? You can’t see for shit!”
You think Renjun’s about to murder you then and there, but the whistle is blown and the game sets in motion. He diverts his attention, cheering loudly for Ravenclaw.
As the game draws on, you see what Renjun means. Donghyuck is impeccably fast on his broom, whizzing by your Ravenclaw team to throw the Quaffle into one of the hoops. Your eyes widen and you lean over to Renjun.
“He’s pretty good.”
“I told you.”
You become mesmerized in the way Donghyuck zooms across the field, dodging any incoming bludgers and getting score after score for Slytherin. You would usually be focused on how Jaemin holds steady on his broom, trying to capture the Snitch.
You can’t take your eyes off Donghyuck’s figure, sweat dripping from his forehead as he eagerly throws the Quaffle into another hoop. Chenle, the commentator, praises him once again. You don’t even mind that your team is losing — Donghyuck seems determined to make them eat dirt.
You won’t lie either, he looks incredibly attractive like this.
“Fuck!” Renjun shouts in your ear. “Jaemin found the Snitch!”
It’s only mere seconds before Chenle declares victory for Slytherin, and the sea of green leaps up to cheer. Renjun grumbles, hanging his head in his hands as you laugh. The rest of Ravenclaw is just as dejected as him, filing out of the stands and mumbling about how no one can stop Donghyuck once he’s on the field.
“Come on, champ,” you encourage him, trying to pull the small boy up from his seat. Renjun sighs as he follows you and since you two are one of the last ones to leave the stands, you catch the Slytherin team leaving the locker rooms and bouncing with joy to go to their after party.
Donghyuck’s eyes light up when he sees you and you quickly try to detour, tugging Renjun along with you. Donghyuck calls out your name and you sigh, turning back around to face him. He looks like a dream if you’re being honest, fresh out of the showers and beaming at his victory.
“You came!”
You cough awkwardly. “Renjun dragged me here.”
“Impressive what you did out on the field,” Renjun nods in acknowledgment. You can only imagine how hard it was for him to choke out a compliment, considering Renjun hates when Ravenclaw loses.
Donghyuck nods back. He turns his attention to you. “Coming to the after party?”
“We’re not in Slytherin,” you mention, pointing to the blue colors both you and Renjun are wearing. “Plus, you just killed our Quidditch team’s reputation.”
He smirks. “True, but I’m sure no one cares if you’re from a different house as long as you celebrate. At least, I don’t care if you’re a Ravenclaw.”
Renjun clears his throat at Donghyuck’s attempt at flirting. He nudges your side when Jaemin leaves the locker rooms, his hair a newly dyed blonde as he combs his fingers through it.
You quickly grab Renjun’s wrist. “Um, we’ll decline. See you later!”
You both scurry away before Jaemin has a chance to see you, leaving Donghyuck flustered at your rejection. Jaemin comes up to swing his arm around Donghyuck’s shoulder.
“Why are you still here? I thought you would be off to the party by now.”
Donghyuck sighs. “Tried my luck with Y/N but she just hates me.”
Jaemin freezes at the sound of your name. He coughs a little. “Are you talking about the Ravenclaw?”
Donghyuck nods and the two begin walking back to their common room. “Yeah, I’ve been trying to get her to open up to me but I guess she’s really not interested.”
“Um, do you know that we used to be a thing?”
Donghyuck fully stops in his tracks. “What?”
Jaemin looks extremely flustered now in front of his friend. “She kind of ended it a month ago. But we used to, um, be together all the time.”
“Be together how?” Donghyuck narrows his eyes.
“I don’t need to spell it out for you, Donghyuck.”
He folds his arms across his chest. “I think you do. As far as I know, Y/N barely has any friends as is so I find is unbelievable that she would open herself up to you.”
Jaemin flushes at the implication, recalling exactly how many times you’ve ‘opened up to him.’ He hasn’t caught any feelings for you and he knows it goes the same way around, but your friendship from before is completely broken. You two can barely be in the same room together without feeling the tension.
“You don’t know her very well then,” Jaemin remarks, wanting to end the conversation as quickly as possible. He honestly didn’t know Donghyuck expressed an interest in you until now. “Let’s forget about what I said and have a good after party, okay?”
Jaemin tugs Donghyuck along but Donghyuck can’t stop thinking about you.
Specifically, you underneath the blonde boy, moaning and thrashing in his hold while Jaemin relentlessly pounds into your tight hole.
Fuck.
—
“Sorry, we’re saving this seat for- What the fuck?!”
Jeno and Yangyang are both floored by their friend’s new appearance, wide eyed as Donghyuck takes his seat next to them in the Great Hall. The Slytherin boy says nothing, diving into his breakfast without a word.
Jeno leans closer to him and whispers. “Who are you?”
Donghyuck glares at him. When he found out about you and Jaemin on Saturday, he had a little bit of a meltdown. His roommate, Shotaro, watched in confusion as Donghyuck paced back and forth for hours. Shotaro was even more befuddled when Donghyuck made the impulse decision to buy blonde hair dye, matching the same shade as Jaemin’s.
He didn’t expect to look so different, but with the way Jeno and Yangyang were staring at him, it was as if he became another person.
“I wanted to do something new,” Donghyuck shrugs, offering his explanation. The two of them are silent after that, both exchanging glances with one another.
Yangyang clears his throat after a few minutes. “Did you lose a dare?”
“No,” Donghyuck hisses. “What? Don’t I look good?”
Both of them avert their gaze and Donghyuck narrows his eyes. His stare wanders over to the Ravenclaw table, where you’re currently eating with Renjun and Jisu. His heart thumps in his chest while he watches you giggle at something your roommate said, leaning on her side for support. His trance is broken by the person he wants to see the least.
“Woah. What happened to you?”
Jaemin takes his seat next to Yangyang, eyebrows raised at Donghyuck’s new look.
Nothing.”
His curt response makes Jaemin even more amused, and Jeno chuckles.
“Maybe Y/N likes blonde guys. Remember, Jaem? When you two were in the library and you said-“
Jaemin throws his fork at Jeno and hits him square in the forehead, causing the Hufflepuff to immediately glare and lunge for the Slytherin across the table. Yangyang tries his best to break the two up while Donghyuck’s mind drifts to Jeno’s statement.
The library? The place where you’re holed up all day, studying to get the best grades in every single subject? Did you let Jaemin take you against one of the bookshelves? Did you sit on his cock while you both pretended to read at the table.
Fuck. You were far from the good girl he always pictured you as.
Donghyuck stands wordlessly, ignoring Jeno and Jaemin’s squabble as he walks out of the Great Hall. He finds himself sitting at your table in the library, patiently waiting for your arrival. He doesn’t give a fuck about attending classes today, he needs to know the answers to his questions.
And so he waits. Surprisingly, he actually manages to get some studying done. Maybe the library wasn’t so bad.
He finally sees you during lunch period, watching as you walk in and smile softly at those who pass you. Your figure immediately retreats to the Potions section, and Donghyuck is quick to follow after you. He spots you standing on your tiptoes trying to grab one of the textbooks on the top shelf.
He approaches you with light footsteps, and you jump five feet in the air when you hear his voice.
“Did you do it here?”
“W-What?”
Donghyuck’s eyes are glazed over, dark as they scrutinize you. You feel small underneath his heavy gaze, and you try to ignore the beam of pleasure that shoots straight to your core. You almost didn’t recognize him with his newly dyed hair, and you won’t deny that he looks fucking hot.
He takes a step closer to you, trapping your body between him and the bookshelf. You shudder when he runs his finger down your arm.
“Did you lift your skirt up for Jaemin here? Let him take you in public?”
You gulp, avoiding his eyes. “H-How do you know about that?”
He growls, and the sound causes a gush of wetness to seep out of your core. “So it’s true? Little Ravenclaw princess is nothing but a common whore? Pretends to be all studious but ends up getting railed for everyone to see?”
You whimper. “It’s not like that- I-“
Your voice catches in your throat when his hand drifts up the expanse of your thighs, fingers dangerously close to your dripping cunt. You quickly survey the area, afraid someone will see the both of you. Most students are eating lunch in the Great Hall but there are still a select few who have chosen their studies over meals. When you did this with Jaemin, it was well past curfew and the library was completely empty.
Despite the fact that you could get caught at any time, it only makes you want him more.
“Touch me, please,” you beg, gripping his forearm.
His eyebrows shoot up at your immediate compliance. “You really are just a little slut, aren’t you? So fucking needy. Before this, you wouldn’t even give me the time of day. You’re just that desperate, aren’t you? Want your small pussy to be filled?”
You quickly nod, way past the point of preserving your dignity.
He flips you over, pressing your cheek against the wood. You whine when his fingers run over your clothed slit.
“So wet, baby,” he whispers, trying his best to conceal your garbled moans with his hand. “Is this for me? Or for Jaemin?”
“For you,” you choke out. “For you, Hyuck.”
He groans at the nickname, moving your panties aside and pushing a finger into you. Your mouth opens in a silent cry as your fingers dig into the shelves. Donghyuck’s breath is hot and heavy in your ear, and he can’t believe you’re letting him take you like this. He wonders what would happen if word got around to your father, who would fail Donghyuck in Potions for sure.
He doesn’t really care at this point, especially when your warm walls are clenching around his finger.
“So pretty for me,” he murmurs, pushing another digit inside. “Want to see you fall apart, baby.”
His other hand comes up to tug at your hair so he can see your expression. You already look completely fucked out and he’s barely done anything to you. He knows he doesn’t have a lot of time before the next period starts, so he quickly moves to unbuckle his belt. His fingers slip out of you and you cry at the loss.
You get more excited at the sound and he chuckles. “Dreamed about this for years,” he whispers. “This pussy is mine now, baby. Won’t let anyone else have it.”
You feel his tip prodding at your entrance, and he waits for your go-to. You decide to slip it in yourself, reaching to grasp his base and push back on his cock. He’s thicker than you thought, and the stretch fills you whole.
Once Donghyuck realizes how desperate you really are, his hands fly to your hips, bottoming out inside you. You both groan lowly, his length pressing against your sweet spot.
He’s about to start thrusting until he hears voices approaching. You both start to panic, and Donghyuck quickly directs you to grab a book from the top shelf while he rearranges his robes. To anyone else, it looks like Donghyuck is helping you grab a book, maybe just a little closer than normal.
Three Hufflepuff students pass by, heading to the History of Magic section of the library. They pay no attention to you two, and Donghyuck sighs in relief. You, however, are still wanting a nice fuck.
You whine and clench around his cock.
“Fuck, baby,” he hisses. “We almost got caught but you don’t care, do you?”
You shake your head and he chuckles lowly. He resumes fucking you, trying his best to keep his grunts to a minimum. It’s difficult, especially when the sound of his balls slapping against your ass increases in volume.
His hands move around your middle, pulling you closer to his chest. “Please,” you beg.
“Baby wants to cum?” You frantically nod and he laughs breathily. His fingers grip your breast over your tight button up shirt, tilting your head so he can kiss you. His tongue slips into your mouth and you whine, driving closer and closer to the edge.
You fall before you know it, Donghyuck trying to keep you quiet as you orgasm around him. The feeling of you creaming around his cock brings him waves of pleasure, and he tries to pull out of you until you stop him.
“Inside,” you plead.
He short circuits at your request, mind going blank. He cums without warning, shooting ribbons of his cum deep inside your waiting womb. You moan at the feeling of him filling you up.
When you both come to, he kisses your neck.
“You’re such a dream,” he mumbles. “Can you stop ignoring me now?”
You laugh. He helps you look presentable, pulling your panties back on even though his cum leaks out of your hole. He rearranges your skirt and tucks himself back into his pants.
You turn around and kiss him.
“You’re really hot when you play Quidditch.”
He smirks. “I knew it.”
“Shut up,” you roll your eyes. Then, your voice grows small. “Can we do this again tonight?”
He grins. He wraps an arm around your waist and presses his lips to yours again.
“Are you mine? Not Jaemin’s?”
You scoff. “I just let you cum inside me. I never let Jaemin do that.”
His eyes sparkle. “Good girl.”
(bonus scene because i’m horny)
“Where are you going?”
Jisu raises an eyebrow at you as you grab one of the candles from your nightstand, ready to meet Donghyuck. You shrug and smile at her.
“Getting some good dick.”
She giggles and winks at you. “Sounds fun. Be safe!”
You slip out of your room quietly, trying your best to be as silent as possible. You’ve snuck out many times before after curfew, being able to tell your Ravenclaw prefects that you desperately needed to cram some extra studying in. They all thought you wouldn’t receive any major discipline anyways since your father was the Potions professor.
You sneak into the Slytherin common room, using the password Donghyuck gave you earlier. The Slytherin prefects were both asleep on the ground, as expected.
Donghyuck waited for you on the sleek emerald couch, smiling as he spotted you. He patted his thighs so you could take your seat, and you giggled, placing the candle on the table and sitting in his lap.
“Missed me?” He murmured, wrapping his arms around you and pressing kisses to the side of your neck.
“Saw you like two hours ago.”
He frowns. “And you haven’t missed me since then?”
You roll your eyes and whine. “Hurry. Want your cock.”
“Will you let me take you to Hogsmeade this weekend?”
“If you win the next Quidditch game.”
He smirks. “Deal.”
You quickly move to unbuckle his belt, sinking to your knees as he watches you carefully. You moan when his cock springs up, tip bright and red. He’s heavy in your hand when you take him, licking a stripe up from his base to the tip. He groans when you bring his head into your mouth, sucking gently.
Holy fuck. You deepthroat him in no time, sinking down on his cock until you choke. He watches with hazy eyes as you struggle to suck him, his length filling your windpipe.
“Too big for you, baby? Can’t handle my big cock?”
You shake your head in defiance. You start bobbing your head up and down, determined to give him the best blowjob of his life. Donghyuck’s eyes dart up when he hears the sound of a door creaking, locking eyes with Jaemin. You haven’t heard anything — too preoccupied with sucking his dick.
Jaemin’s eyes widen when he spots you two before he smiles, throwing Donghyuck a wink and a thumbs up. He retreats back to his room and Donghyuck can’t take the wait any longer.
“Hands and knees.”
You pull away from him, spit dribbling down the side of your mouth. You follow his orders, pulling down your pajama pants and bending over the side of the couch. He delivered a harsh slap to your cheek, and you whimper.
“Pretty girl,” he praises as he lines himself up to your entrance. “Little cock hungry cumslut. What would people say if they saw you? Good Ravenclaw desperate for cum?”
“Want them to see me,” you blubber. “Want them to see how well I take your cock.”
He grunts. “Fuck. Dirty little minx.”
He practically rips your panties in half, fingers digging into your flesh as he takes the first thrust. Is it even possible that his cock grew bigger? He’s hitting your sweet spot with no problem from this angle, sending sparks flying in your tummy. You swear you can feel him in your throat if it was possible.
“Take my cock, baby,” he hisses. “Fuck. See what I do for you? Been chasing after you for years thinking you were a little innocent schoolgirl but turns out I just needed to give you my cock and then you would be all mine. Even dyed my hair to this stupid fucking color for you.”
“I-I like y-your hair,” you cry.
“Yeah? Because it looks just like Jaemin’s, doesn’t it?”
“I don’t give a fuck about Jaemin. Only want you.”
He’s satisfied by your answer and moves his hand down to pinch your clit. The sensation sends you flying into your first orgasm and you sob as you cum around his cock.
He slips out of you, sitting down on the couch and patting his thighs again. “Come on. Show me how much you want it.”
Shakily, you rise and straddle Donghyuck’s hips, slowly sinking down on him. His girth stretches you even more as you ride him, twisting and turning your hips until you feel the burn. You don’t care if you look like a needy slut at this point — he’s made you this way.
You never fucked Jaemin with this much fervor, usually letting him lazily thrust into you before you both reach your climax. He also never stared at you the way Donghyuck is looking at you now, eyes dark as he watches you fall apart on his cock.
“Gonna cum again, baby?”
“Y-Yes,” you answer back, closing your eyes as you feel pleasure overtake your body. You can barely think straight as he fucks you so good.
You orgasm again before you fully realize it, wetness dripping down your thighs and onto his cock.
“Such a pretty cunt,” he groans. “Where do you want my cum?”
“Inside, inside,” you respond, observing as he chases his own high. He stills inside of you, cumming deep inside your tummy.
You kiss him, slipping your tongue into his mouth while you feel his cum drip out of you.
“I better win that Quidditch game.”
You giggle. “You better.”
“What’s gonna happen if you get pregnant?”
You shrug. “I’m taking those muggle pills Jisu gave me so I think we’re fine. It’s not like it’s going to stop you from cumming inside me anyway.”
“True. Second round in the Astronomy Tower?”
“I can barely walk.”
“I’ll carry you.”

Chapter 24 : “ Is… Is it over? ”
Snatcher was doing his best to walk down the hallways as quietly as he could. His ankle, while not broken anymore, was still giving him quite a lot of pain, so much that he was wincing at each new step. But he knew this was just temporary and that he needed to ignore the suffering for now: Vanessa was busy, sure, but for how long? She had said she would be baking cookies for him, and he knew very well that this wouldn’t last forever. This was his first and last chance of escaping: if she spotted him trying to leave, the child had no doubt she would lock him up again, perhaps in the cellar once more…- The young Prince shook his head and gulped down with difficulty. This definitely wasn’t something he wanted to think about.
Snatcher could feel and hear the floor creaking under his feet, forcing him to stop several times and listen closely. But thankfully, there was no sound indicating the Queen had heard him. Thank God. The child stopped in front of the door leading to the first floor- oh, he was not reassured, not in the slightest, he had the feeling this would not go well… As he was going to open the door, however, a light sound caught his attention, making him look at the window. A look of confusion crossed the young man’s features: there was nothing there, so what could have made such a nois- but then, his eyes spotted something: a little rock had been thrown onto the glass, making a small sound because of the impact. Detaching himself from the door, Snatcher made a few silent steps to the window… And his face lightened up with shock and surprise as he noticed a form floating above the window- no, two forms, actually.
Moonjumper and the hatted brat !
A feeling of hope grew inside of him, just as a wave of relief washed over him: they were alive! He had saved them! He really had managed to help them!
The child stepped closer to the window and reached for it, trying to open it- but in vain. The frame was deeply frozen, preventing anyone to open it, especially not a kid like him. He quickly stopped, as his attempts at opening it were quite… Noisy. It was getting really dangerous, and if he kept on trying, he was eventually going to alert Vanessa, which was definitely not what he wanted.
Moonjumper and the kid floated closer, a clear look of worry and confusion on their faces. The hatted girl gestured to the lock on the window, but Snatcher replied by shaking his head. It wasn’t locked, just… Frozen. He gave a concerned shrug, indicating he didn’t really know how to help them enter the manor. And, of course, they couldn’t really communicate vocally through the glass, as it was sure to be noticed by his ex. So that wasn’t a solution- until one hit him, making his eyes widen.
The attic.
Driven by a new motivation, the child pointed up, trying to make them understand his idea. The hatted brat seemed rather confused and frowned in reaction, trying to look up without understanding. However, the corpse seemed to get it and explained it to her- or so Snatcher believed. He couldn’t really hear them, so all he could do was to guess. In any case, his counterpart nodded to him, as a way to show him they had understood what he had meant to them. Not long after that, they started to float higher, indeed reaching the attic.
There was his escape plan !
Fueled by a new motivation, especially now that he knew his friends were alive, the former ghost turned away from the window, a new objective in mind. Still doing his best to remain discreet, Snatcher walked the other way, making his way to the attic rather than to the first floor. He was particularly on edge, especially when it came to his own footsteps on the floor, and to the creaking of the parquet floor under his weight. When he reached the door leading upstairs, he kept praying for it to be unlocked, oh, he prayed so much- and when the doorknob actually let itself be lowered, thus opening the door… A huge feeling of relief hit the young Prince one more time.
Oh, thank God…
Looking behind him, just to make sure the Queen hadn’t come upstairs to see if he was still in the nursery… He eventually climbed up the stairs, not forgetting to close the door slowly in his back. This was it, there was no turning back now.
Snatcher soon reached the attic door and opened it, his vision greeted by the sight of an old, forgotten room. But the former ghost didn’t lose any time in looking around- there was no time for that. All he needed to do now, was to find a way to let the other two-
Speaking of the devil, Snatcher spotted their floating silhouette right in front of the central window. However, it was safe to assume than opening any of the window here would be complicated. After all, none of them had locks to begin with, so even if they weren’t as frozen, they couldn’t be opened either way.
That… He hadn’t thought of that, exactly. All he had thought about was to get farther away from Vanessa, which worked in that case. But he still couldn’t leave like this… As for Moonjumper and the hatted brat, the two were inspecting each window, trying to find one that could be opened easily, in vain. Snatcher stepped closer to the central window, the gears in his mind turning to find a solution. This was… Not going the way he wanted to, he had to admit that much. His eyes met the others’, and they both came to the same conclusion.
Leaving the manor this way wouldn’t-
Snatcher’s thoughts were instantly interrupted as a tremor shook him and the room, making him stumble to the wooden floor. He cried in pain as it only hurt his already injured ankle, but before he was even able to realize what was going on, a loud, piercing scream echoed in the whole manor. Immediately, the young Prince’s expression fell, only to be replaced with panic.
Vanessa.
As on cue, the former ghost heard her muffling yelling in the floor below- oh God, she had heard him!
-“Where are you?!” shouted the Queen, her tone clearly showing how livid she was, and the sound of her voice making the house shake even more. Oh no, no, no, no, no! Behind the window, Moonjumper and the brat’s face paled up just like his did, and it was obvious they had heard her too. Oh, crap, no, he needed to be out of here!
Not thinking anymore, the child ran to the window, pounding on it as hard he could, feeling dread spreading inside of him as he could hear Vanessa’s furious steps coming closer and closer.
-“Get me out of here!” he yelled through the glass, to his friends on the other side, fear more and more audible in his voice than ever: “Help me!” Tears started to fill his eyes, and he couldn’t tell if it was because he was in a child’s body or if it was because he was genuinely terrified.
Behind the glass, Moonjumper seemed to be just as scared as him, and was scratching at the glass, even pounding on it all while still holding the hatted kid. The latter seemed to be more than nervous, looking for a solution too, until… Her face lit up, as if she just had had an epiphany. The young Prince saw her shouting something at the corpse, pointing at the window at the same time. What was she suggesting? But as he was asking himself that question, Snatcher saw the two of them floating away from the window- no, no, no! They weren’t leaving him here, weren’t they ?! They couldn’t do that, they couldn’t abandon him!
-“Come back!!” he yelled, and now tears were rolling down his cheeks, sobs cutting his breathing short: “Don’t leave me here!” He pounded on the glass harder, despair filling him whole. No, this couldn’t be happening, this couldn’t be happening!
His cries intensified as Vanessa’s steps could be heard just behind the door, and suddenly, he froze. The footsteps had stopped. He looked back at the door in utter terror and saw the door slowly opening, a claw being the first thing he saw coming out of it.
-“I told you…” her tone was low and threatening, and the child span around, horrified. Oh no, no, no- : “… That there would be consequences…” And little by little, the old Queen’s body appeared in the room, her dark aura even more visible than ever, her claws sharper, and her eyes murderous.
Oh no, he was going to die, he was so going to die, he-
-“Snatcher!” The former ghost’s terrified inner-rambling was put to an end as he heard his name being called out behind him, and he glanced back, recognizing the brat’s voice- didn’t they leave, though…? However, his eyes widened as he saw the hat-wearing child being carried by Moonjumper on his shoulders, both at a distance from the window, and what caught his attention was… That she was not wearing her usual hat.
She was wearing another one, one that was familiar because he had seen her wearing in his forest, when she was ransacking the tombs in Subcon For- and before his mind had the time to finish that sentence, a glowing potion materialized in the kid’s hand, and she shook it while urging him to move with the other.
The young Prince didn’t waste any more time and ran to the side, hiding behind a nearby crate not to feel the explosion, and he covered his ears. But just before he was able to, the Queen’s voice echoed in the room, giving him chills.
-“I saw you!” she yelled at him, as if she hadn’t noticed the two outside- but it was most likely the case, as her mind seemed to be only focused on him, and only him… Which was not reassuring in the slightest, obviously.
-“Come here this instan-” And then, her shout was cut short by an explosion, and Snatcher just curled up more, crying out in fear as the whole floor shook again and as he heard the loud and deafening sound of the detonation. Glass and wood flew everywhere, shattering and breaking at their impact to the floor. Panicked, the former ghost glanced back at the window that had just been exploded- and his eyes widened as he saw his two friends entering the room through the large hole caused by the explosion.
Another wave of relief hit him once more, contrasting greatly with the spike of fear he had felt earlier- Snatcher felt like his heart was riding a very, very intense roller-coaster. As soon as the hatted child spot him, hidden behind the crate, her expression instantly turned into worry, and she dashed to him, soon placing herself in a position to defend him should Vanessa decide to attack them first. She had taken out her umbrella, ready to fight with all of her might, determination visible on her face. As for Moonjumper, the corpse was summoning countless strings, preparing himself for an imminent fight. His face looked nothing like what Snatcher had seen before, it was full of anger, of bravery, of courage… But also full of fear. His hands were trembling, his eyes were fixed on the Queen, while many memories of Snatcher’s past life seemed to be blinding him, forcing him to relive past moments that weren’t even his in the first place.
And yet Moonjumper was still ready to fight despite this.
-“You…” The Queen’s voice was full of hatred as she recognized the duo she had frozen earlier. Her intonation definitely had an impact on them, as they both faltered for a few moments- and he couldn’t blame them for it.
He knew what it was like to be frozen to death.
-“You… You will not hurt anyone else,” Moonjumper trembling voice echoed in the room, and it was now clear that he was scared to no end, though he was still trying to appear brave. Whether it was bluff or not, Snatcher couldn’t tell… But he really hoped it wasn’t.
-“Yeah, back off!” added the brat, lifting her umbrella as a way to show she was not kidding. Then again, the former spirit couldn’t help but wonder if they really had a chance against someone who had already frozen them all at least once.
Vanessa glared at them, her eyes glancing to each other, as if she were trying to determine who, out of the trio, was the biggest threat to her. And, unsurprisingly… Her survival instincts told her to attack Moonjumper first. Screaming in absolute anger, she stomped her feet on the wooden floor, summoning ice all around her and, more precisely, a series of ice stalagmites which she quickly sent to her enemy’s direction.
-“Moonjumper!” yelled Snatcher, extending his hand to the corpse, only to be held back by the hatted brat, preventing him from getting himself hurt. Fortunately, the body-stealing spirit had been expecting her to target him first, and dodged her attack, though one of the stalagmites nearly touched him. Thank God it hadn’t. The corpse was quick to react though and counter-attacked, throwing all of the strings he had prepared to her. Taken aback by his sudden retaliation, the Queen was too slow to move before the strings actually caught her, Moonjumper quickly tightening the grip around them.
But this couldn’t be so simple.
Another scream left Vanessa’s mouth and soon enough, she turned the strings into ice, her magic rapidly going up the corpse’s strings and thus soon reaching him- until the hat-wearing brat intervened, hitting the strings with her umbrella, deflecting the spell to her umbrella instead, which she immediately let go of with a surprised cry.
Now that the trio was distracted with the current turn of event, the Queen broke free of the strings holding her, the ice having made them easy to break. No, this was not good, they had to find a solution… But Moonjumper’s strings were their best bet! Fighting hand-to-hand was not possible, all they could do was fighting her from afar, if they didn’t want to end up frozen to death. His eyes looked around, trying to find an idea, something they would be able to use to gain an advantage against that monster. The crates, no, the chandelier, no, too heavy to make it fall down and too large to be useful… And his eyes fell onto the huge gap in the floor and the wall, caused by the previous explosion. His eyes widened, an idea growing in his mind.
Maybe… Maybe they could be able to use that!
In the meantime, the fight had continued, and the corpse was still trying to immobilize her with his strings- but this wasn’t the right option, this wouldn’t work like this! The woman was always managing to break free. And so, as soon as Vanessa’s attention was at the lowest, the young Prince took this as an opportunity to call out to Moonjumper without putting him too much at risk:
-“The- the hole, lead her to the hole!” he shouted, using both of his hands as a way to make his voice louder. The corpse gave him a quick and confused glance, as if he were trying to understand what Snatcher had in mind- until his eyes widened, realization crossing his features. He had gotten the message.
Not wasting any more time, the corpse changed his tactic and instead of trying to keep her trapped and motionless… He tried to pull her closer to the window, floating back more and more. Of course, the Queen was always managing to get free with her powers, but she was still being slowly led to the huge gap in the floor. The corpse was immensely focused on the fight, doing everything he could to avoid her stalagmites- but his focus and his unbelievable calm was winning over Vanessa’s screaming and aggressive attitude- her attacks were having the same patterns, she was not thinking strategically when trying to hit Moonjumper… On the contrary, Snatcher had to admit she was being predictable, and while she couldn’t be kept trapped in the other’s strings for too long, Snatcher’s strategy was working little by little.
When she reached the gap, her eyes had widened, as if she was only understanding now what the trio had in mind. With another deafening scream, Vanessa created an ice path under her feet, like a bridge above everything, above… Nothing, above the void under her feet. No matter how hard Moonjumper was pulling on her, she was not loosing her balance and she kept on creating ice under her feet, although… Now she was looking to escape much more than actually attacking any of them. Her expression was not just livid anymore- no, there were some worry and fear in it too, now.
They had to take the matter in their own hand, now! Moonjumper had already done much more than Snatcher would have asked of him considering his same fear of her- and now it was his time to help.
Ignoring the pain in his ankle, the child dashed to the frozen umbrella the hatted brat had abandoned on the floor, and picked it up, not caring about the ice partially trapping it- no, this didn’t matter. What he was about to do, however… Mattered much, much more.
-“Snatcher!” he heard the little girl calling him out- but he didn’t stop.
No, this had to stop. Now.
Fueled by a new energy and by adrenaline, the former ghost ran onto the ice platform Vanessa had created… And he charged at his ex-lover, holding the umbrella before him and using him as a spear. He felt his borrowed weapon hit something, and he knew it was her- and almost instantly, a cry of fear and surprise left the Queen’s mouth… And the impact made her lose her balance, her body falling backward as she tried to turn back… But it was too late.
He had done it, he had managed to-
But things never, ever were that easy, were they?
-“Snatcher !!” His friends’ voice echoed behind him, panic clearly audible as the woman made a last movement as an attempt to save herself from her fall- she had grabbed Snatcher’s arm and was now taking him with her, bringing him with her for what was going to be her death… And the young Prince’s.
And now, they were both falling.
Snatcher had thought about dying again, multiple times, actually. Being stuck in his this human body definitely had him wonder a lot of things such as “if I die, would I become a ghost again? Would I just go to wherever souls go when no one eats them?” There had been no way to know, and still wasn’t. The doubt actually prevented him from trying to put an end to his human life and see what happened afterwards. However, now… It wasn’t doubt that was making Snatcher fear death. No…
That was the fear of actually dying, mixed with the fear of losing all the sensations he had become accustomed to, even though it took him so long. Sure, there were plenty of unwanted senses he disliked, but… Was it really worth losing all of it? Even the good ones? Like the feeling of a warm shower, the feeling of lying down on a pile of soft pillows, the feeling of tasting things, even bad things…
Did he really want to just not feel anything at all? It had felt so overwhelming when he had recovered all of his senses, but now, the thought of losing everything was… Just as crushing.
And so… That was why Snatcher was terrified, terrified as his body was falling to his demise, taken with Vanessa. Her claws were gripping at his arm tightly, freezing his clothes and skin, making him cry out in pain. His breath quickened while he felt the cold air outside scratching his cheeks from how fast they were falling.
He didn’t want to die…!
The young Prince started to kick her, trying everything he could to do get away from her- but what was the point if they were both going to die by crashing themselves to the ground?
-“Let me go!” he shouted, his voice hysterical and his expression both panicked and livid: “Let-let go of me!”
-“N-no!” retorted the Queen, and the child could see frozen tears leaving her eyes as well as a despaired expression on her face: “I don’t want to!!”
She tried to hold him tighter in her arms, bringing him for a hug- No, no, no, he didn’t want this, he didn’t want this! The kid kept trying to hit her, his fear growing more and more as they both got closer and closer to the ground- he didn’t want to die! Not like this, not anymore!
Snatcher shut his eyes hard, readying himself for the impact, for the death he had wanted so much and yet didn’t want anymore, for the confirmation of whether he’d come back as a ghost or not, this was not fair, this was not fair…!
The young Prince let out a startled scream when he felt something slipped under his arms, pulling him up and abruptly stopping his fall. Snatcher reopened his eyes instantly- Moonjumper! The corpse had hurled himself towards his small counterpart, barely saving him from his death and quickly trying to float back up again or, at the very least, slow down his dangerous fall.
Vanessa, on the other hand, was not being held by anyone and, thus, her claws severely scratching the child’s arms as she attempted to save herself, but her own weight dragged her down. A loud, painful scream left Snatcher lips as he felt his skin being torn open by her long, sharp claws… But soon enough, his eyes saw her falling down, falling to her death, while Moonjumper was now holding him still in the air, floating. And soon enough… A muffled sound echoed up to them, with the Queen crashed into the snow, creating a flurry of snow around her.
-“Are… Are you okay ?!” the corpse managed to say, panic clearly audible in his tone of voice, his eyes inspecting the young prince, and widening when he noticed the gaping wound on the other’s arm: “O-oh, Goodness, we better… Oh, my God…”
Snatcher only replied by a long hiss, feeling the snowflakes falling onto his injury- oh, that hurt so much…! Tears came back in his eyes, stinging the skin in the corners from how cold it was. Blood was leaking from his arm, falling down near where Vanessa’s body lied down. With a very concerned expression, Moonjumper quickly floated lower and lower, in order to bring them back to the ground. A movement in Snatcher’s vision caught the latter’s attention, and he glanced in that direction, his mind clearly in a state of shock, ready to react to the littlest threat- but what he saw was the hat-wearing brat, watching them from the attic. It was a bit hard to see her clearly because of the distance and the blizzard, but the former ghost was almost sure he saw her putting her hand where her heart was, seemingly sighing in relief.
Yeah… Yeah, he could definitely relate to that…
The young Prince jumped when he finally felt the ground under his feet, letting out a startled cry from how shocked he was. Slowly, ever so slowly, Moonjumper loosened his grip on him, only for Snatcher to fall to his knees, unable to stand up in his state. Around him, the snow was starting to get a reddish hue due to the blood falling and leaking on it, staining it.
-“H-hey…!” The corpse tried to help him get back to his feet, in vain. He had just experienced a near-death experience, how could he stand up again so easily?! His eyes looked around and… Noticed a dark spot in the snow.
Vanessa.
The child stared at her, afraid she’d get up again, ready to attack them again, ready to kill them all- But she wasn’t moving.
-“Is… Is it over?” he breathed out, unable to look away from the old Queen, his fear preventing from doing so.
-“I… I think so, yes,” Moonjumper floated lower, down to his level, his voice calmer and yet his nervousness was still very much there.
A loud noise suddenly caught the duo’s attention, making them lift their head to see what it was- and as much as Snatcher had expected quite a lot of things… Seeing the spaceship flying above their head was not one of these things. That… That was where the bow-wearing kid was! She hadn’t been there in the group’s rescue mission, and it made sense that at least someone had to stay in the ship in case things turned sour.
Not so long after that, the front door of the manor opened abruptly, revealing the hatted brat, soon dashing in their direction.
-“Snatcher!” she called out to him, stopping in front of him and almost slipping from how fast she was running. Her eyes noticed his injury and instant worry appeared on her features: “Oh, peck, are you okay?!”
The child took a moment to pull himself together- this was a lot to take in after all.
-“I… I don’t know,” he gasped, and now that the adrenaline was slowly dying down, the pain was getting much, much stronger. Wincing, Snatcher tried to move his arm, only to whine at the sensation. Yeah, that was not happening… And he was bleeding quite a lot too- oh, no, no, this was not good, was it…?
Another weird, high pitched sound caught their attention, this time behind them. The former ghost turned his head back, not knowing what it was- until he saw a beam of light coming from the spaceship to the ground, a silhouette quickly appearing where the light was touching the snow. The other kid! Even though he knew she had to be safe, considering Vanessa had forgotten about her when she brought the young Prince home, he was… Really happy to see her safe, now. However, something else caught his attention.
She was holding the Time Piece again.
Not wasting any more time, the other joined the trio, reacting the exact same way as the rest of the group did at the sight of Snatcher’s injury. Then again… He had no idea how bad it was, but from the look of everyone else, he could guess that it was… Not good.
-“Is… Is she…?” the bow-wearing child pointed to the Queen’s body, still not moving, except for her shadows, carried away by the wind.
-“I… I’m not sure,” Snatcher confessed, still very much afraid to see her getting up- but she wasn’t.
The group remained silent for a moment, staring at what now seemed to be a corpse- And Snatcher couldn’t help but stand up, his stance unstable and his legs trembling both from the blood loss and from how shaken he still was.
-“W-wait, what are you doing?” called out the hatted brat behind him. Moonjumper also tried to get his attention, his tone much more nervous than the little girl’s. The bow-wearing kid, however, remained silent, paralyzed by the fear of what he was trying to do.
Not listening to the group’s advice to sit back down, not to approach Vanessa, as they didn’t know if she was still alive yet- but he didn’t care. And so, silently if not for the sound of his boots in the snow, the young Prince stopped in front of his ex, looking at her with a deep expression of regret on his face. So this was the end of the story, then? The end of a tale that had lasted for many centuries, of a horrifying nightmare that had caused the death of so many people?
Was that it?
The young Prince jumped a bit when the Queen slowly opened her eyes, afraid she would be ready to fight again- but she didn’t move. Instead… She merely smiled at him, that same smile he had loved for years, that same smile from the person he wanted to marry so many years ago- and before he could realize it, his heart started to ache, his mind filled with bitterness.
-“Oh… Hello,” she greeted him, with a tone that was so familiar, much too familiar- and Snatcher’s face hardened, countless of memories blinding him as they came back to him, almost hitting him like a wave.
This was… Not a good ending for him- a good ending would have been to solve their problems before she caused the freezing, would have been to prevent the deaths of everyone- but this? This was a bittersweet ending.
This wasn’t the ending Snatcher wanted, but in the end… This was the only one he could get.
The light in Vanessa’s eyes became dimmer and dimmer as seconds passed and, soon, the former ghost just knew she had passed away, taking with her the threat she had always represented to Subcon Forest. Now… Now, the forest would be safe again.
-“Sna… Snatcher?” the bow wearing child called out to him again, and when he turned back to her… His cheeks started to sting- he was crying now. Tears, countless of them, were rolling down his cheeks and he couldn’t stop, the emotions flooding his mind, so much that it needed to get out somehow- Sobs started to leave his mouth… Before his legs gave up from the blood loss. Before anyone was able to react, the young Prince fell into the snow, mentally and physically exhausted. The group gathered around him, worry and fear visible on their features. Oh.
Was… Was this going to be it? Was this… The end? His end?
His thoughts were cut short when the bow-wearing kid lifted his hand, putting inside it a cold yet familiar object- the Time Piece.
-“Qu-quick!” she urged him, her face deadly pale: “I… I fixed it while you were fighting her! It’ll save you, but you need to break it and wish to become a ghost again!”
-“Hurry!” the hatted brat insisted, trying to hide her worry behind a mask of determination.
Was… Was it really what he wanted? To come back as a ghost, unable to feel a single thing, good or bad? To remain here for eternity and see the world change without him? To take care of a Forest that no longer needed protection? Was this really what he truly, truly wanted? To live in the past forever?
Snatcher winced at the thought.
He… Wasn’t so sure about becoming a ghost again. He had wanted this so much before, but now… Now, something didn’t feel right about this. Was Vanessa’s death the reason for that? Or had he thought this way for a while, just… Being in denial about all of this?
How could he know? What should he do?
-“Wh-what are you waiting for!” urged Moonjumper, and soon, the kids started to shake him lightly, fearing he would lose consciousness from his injuries, if not worse.
All he wanted… All he wanted was…
Slowly, much too slowly for the taste of the group… The former shade lifted the hand holding the Time Piece, ready to smash it to the ground.
-“I wish to be happy,” he murmured, before finally smashing the hourglass down.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-______________________________-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
-“And then, add a bit of salt- yes, just like that!”
The voice of Cooking Cat could be heard in the kitchen of the spaceship, alongside sounds of something cooking in the background, sizzling on a frying pan. Next to her, a young man was standing up, his right hand holding the tool and the left one putting down a cup of salt. Once done, he grabbed the spatula on the nearby counter and started to move the ingredients around inside of the pan, intensifying all the crackling caused by their cooking.
-“Am… Am I doing fine?” he asked, wincing as he was receiving a few splashes, to the point he was tempted to step back- but he knew better than to do that. Cooking Cat seemed to notice his discomfort and came to her friend’s rescue, covering the frying pan with its lid and then lowering the temperature of the gas stove.
The young man couldn’t help but give an awkward and frustrated smile- well, at least, the food wasn’t burnt -yet-, so there was that!
-“You’re improving day after day,” assured the bipedal cat with a warm expression: “You’ll see, someday you won’t even need me anymore to cook for the girls!” she gave him a friendly tap on the back, though perhaps a bit too strong for the thin man, who stumbled a bit.
-“I doubt that,” he answered, before using an familiar sarcastic tone: “I mean, unless you all want me to burn the ship down, of course. That, I can do!”
The Cat snorted and shook her head, though not out of disapproval.
-“You’re underestimating yourself, you know?” she retorted, a bit amused by his previous words: “It’s only been a few months and you’ve made quite a lot of progress. You might not be the best cook in the world right now, but credit where it’s due, now you can make things that are edible!”
-“Oh man, what an improvement! ‘Poisonous’ to ‘barely digestible’! When do I open a restaurant?” he mocked her, but there wasn’t any real animosity, just friendly teasing… To which he received a light punch on the arm:
-“Oh, hush, you,” she snickered: “You know what I mean!”
The two laughed for a bit, and eventually washed their hands, waiting for the food to finish cooking. They kept doing some small talk as they tidied the kitchen a little bit, cleaning and putting back in cupboards all the tools they had needed to prepare the next meal, which smell was slowly invading the room.
Yeah, he had to admit that at least… Well, the smell was good enough to make him hungry, something that hadn’t been possible a few months back.
The duo’s attention was caught by the door opening, revealing the hatted brat, the bow-wearing kid, and Moonjumper, who had started to wear new clothes, clothes that fitted him and his personality much better.
-“Hey, the food’s not ready yet,” the young man taunted them, giving them a shooing gesture: “Come on, away with you!”
-“Can’t we have at a least a bit?” tried to bargain the bow-wearing girl, putting her hands on her stomach as if she hadn’t eaten anything for the past two weeks- and of course, she was imitated by her older friend: “We’re starving!”
-“Yeah, Snatcher, don’t be such a peck-ne-”
-“Language!” the word came from both Cooking Cat and Moonjumper, who floated closer to Snatcher- although it was clear that from the two of them, the bipedal Cat was the one having the more authority. Perhaps she was kind of like a mother-figure, or at least, that’s what the young man couldn’t help but think of her and what her aura seemed like.
-“Fiiine,” grunted the hatted brat, sighing with exaggeration, before giving the cook the look of a nice and innocent kid in dire need of something: “We’re super hungry though,” she repeated and, as on cue, a gurgling sound echoed in the room, causing everyone to stop talking. Eventually, the bow-wearing child giggled with embarrassment and looked away.
-“Y-yeah, we are,” she confirmed, and Cooking Cat just snorted in response. She moved to one of the cupboards and grabbed three plates and silverware, soon handing them to the little, impatient girls.
-“Listen, let’s set the table, and then we’ll eat, alright?” she told them, and it barely took the kids a couple of seconds to grab all of it and running away with it to the living room.
-“Hey, no running with the knifes!” Snatcher called them out, but all he heard were carefree giggles. Ugh. Kids. And yet, he was smiling.
Cooking Cat snorted again, shaking her head with a warm grin, before glancing at the other two :
-“I better go and help them,” she told Snatcher and Moonjumper: “I mean, not that they’re unable to set the table, but. You know.”
-“Yeah, we don’t want any injury, I got it. I’ll take care of the food in the meantime,” he assured, returning her smile with his own, and leaning against one of the kitchen counters. The Cat thanked him and left the room, leaving the young man and the corpse alone. Snatcher soon got back to work and prepared a few crudités for the first course. Somehow, there was some kind of tension in the room, and that was probably due to the fact that Moonjumper hadn’t followed their friend to help the kids. The silence went on for a few more seconds, and… Yeah, there was definitely something.
-“Anything on your mind?” asked the young man casually, glancing at him briefly while he was cutting the vegetables, doing his best to remain focused on the task at hand- not wanting any injury also applied to him. There were quite a few scars on the former Prince’s fingers, due to him not being careful enough while cutting food. After all, not only had he never cooked for a few centuries as a ghost, but he had never really cooked anything while being alive either… Being part of a royal family had its pros and cons after all.
The corpse seemed to be lost in thought, only to jump slightly at Snatcher’s voice, coming back to reality. Moonjumper looked away, scratching his arm in embarrassment:
-“Am I that obvious?” he asked, an awkward smile on his face.
-“Frankly?” the man raised his eyebrow, before giving the other a smug grin: “You have no idea.”
The two snorted, and it did indeed make the tension go away, if only a little. Snatcher knew something was up, and he waited for his friend to make the first step, not wanting to rush anything. If there was anything being human taught him again, it was being patient. Well… Among a lot of other things, of course. And soon enough… This proved to be the right choice, as Moonjumper spoke once more, giving the former Prince a more serious look:
-“Are you… Are you okay?” was his question, and Snatcher was quite taken aback by it, not really expecting something like this. To be fair, he had thought this would be about Subcon, who was now primarily handled by the corpse, though Snatcher did visit quite a lot. This could have also been about the girls or anything like that, really… But him?
Now that was something he hadn’t seen coming.
The young man’s face showed his surprise and confusion, and he quickly put his attention back on his cutting work. No need to cut a finger because he wasn’t attentive enough… Still:
-“Wh- Yeah, I am?” he replied, puzzled by this sudden question: “Why?”
Moonjumper remained silent for a moment, to the point Snatcher thought this conversation would end here- but the other proved him wrong:
-“It’s just that… You wanted to become a ghost again so much, a few months back,” admitted his counterpart with a wince: “And yet, while you had the opportunity to make this happen, you… Didn’t.”
He paused for a few seconds, as if he were looking for the right words, as if he were walking on eggshells- well, it was a figure of speech, given his lack of legs. In any case…
-“I guess, I just… I just wanted to know if you were fine with it.”
Snatcher stopped his cutting work, his stare lost into space. Yeah, he could see where that was coming from… To be fair, his old self would have probably screamed at him, not understanding why he was still a human despite getting the opportunity to change that, despite getting the chance he had waited for since the moment he woke up in that body.
In that body which reminded him of so many things, some good and some… Bad, very bad. And so, he wasn’t really surprised to see this question coming, especially from Moonjumper, who, well… Shared quite a lot of memories with him, even if they still weren’t the same person. If there was anyone in the world knowing him the best, it was the corpse, no doubt about that.
… Which meant quite a lot, being asked this question by his counterpart.
-“You know… If I had gotten the possibility to turn back into what I used to be when it happened…” started Snatcher, referring to the moment he had been turned into a human, months ago: “… Then I’m pretty sure I’d have taken that opportunity without hesitation.”
-“… So what changed?” retorted the other, though there was no judgment in his tone of voice- just pure curiosity and a lot of concerns.
-“I guess…” the man stopped to think, sighing again, before continuing, his face full of regret: “You know, back there, when I… When I almost died,” he managed to say, his body starting to shake from the emotion and from the memories. Snatcher was… Still trying to ignore them, but despite this, he remained haunted by them, haunted by what had happened, by what could have happened to him and to his friends.
The corpse nodded, silently and gently nudging him into talking once more.
-“I… I realized that I… Didn’t really want to die?” he wondered to himself, having done his best not to think about that whole thing until now, and he shrugged, though it was visible that this was clearly upsetting him: “I just… Understood that if I were to die again, even if I came back as a ghost I would just… Not be able to feel anything at all, you know?”
He glanced back to Moonjumper, and he mindlessly started to rub the counter with his hands, as if he were enjoying the sense of touch for the last time, contemplating what could have been if he had indeed died again that day.
-“That kinda scared me,” he admitted, this time with a frown, because being afraid was still something he didn’t like saying: “And after Vanessa’s death, I guess that I felt… Guilty, but also better? As if, there wasn’t that weight on my shoulder anymore, right? And so… So when Bow gave me the Time Piece, I… Hesitated.”
He couldn’t help but scoff at the idea, now.
-“That’s stupid, right?”
Moonjumper seemed surprised by his words, and he titled his head to the side, confused and a little worried:
-“What do you mean?” asked the other, frowning too.
-“That… That I basically let that hourglass decide.”
-“Oh.”
Realization crossed the corpse’s features and he looked away, maybe feeling foolish for that dumb question. But to Snatcher, it wasn’t one, really. A few minutes passed in pure silence, and Snatcher got back to his cutting work. It took a little while before Moonjumper gathered the courage to speak again, visibly concerned for his friend:
-“And so… Are you happy?” he asked, making a reference to the wish Snatcher had made back then, when he was dying. The memory made the young man wince, and he couldn’t help but clench his fists, doing his best not to let his mind getting overwhelmed at the traumatizing recollection.
But this was a good question. Was he happy? Was he, really? It was quite hard to answer… How could he know? His old lives, as a Prince and as a soul-stealing ghost, were so different than this one that it was barely comparable. However… However, he couldn’t deny how miserable he had felt sometimes, as a spirit guarding Subcon Forest. But now…? While he still had nightmares, and while sensations were still a bit strong… Vanessa wasn’t a threat to Subcon and its inhabitants anymore, he felt free for the first time in centuries, not shackled to a place in order to protect it, no- he was really, truly free. Furthermore…
Snatcher had two people to care about now.
-“You know, it’s not so bad,” he eventually replied, a smile starting to appear on the corner of his lips.
-“What is?”
The young man turned his head to his friend, his smile widening, even though his expression still showed some regrets:
-“Being Human.”
The corpse fell silent, but eventually returned his smile, visibly satisfied with the answer. The duo’s attention were brought back to reality as a smell of something burning started to float in the room-
-“Oh fu- peck!” the former prince cursed as he turned off the gas stove, quickly removing the frying pan and putting it on the kitchen counter. His face fell when he noticed the meal had burnt- again. Next to him, Moonjumper was trying his best not to laugh, leading the young man to glare at him. Instantly, the corpse looked away innocently, whistling- ugh, that guy.
Snatcher looked at the burnt meal with frustration, and he rubbed his eyes- Yeah, he was getting tired of himself quite a lot, when it came to cooking. Nonetheless, he took a deep breath, and picked the frying pan again, while Moonjumper, still giggling, grabbed the plates of crudités. Both left the kitchen, and Snatcher lifted the pan for everyone to see, announcing loudly and comically:
-“Soooo, who wants some burnt food?”
A loud series of boo welcomes him, as well as some “again??”s, making him snicker in reaction… But yeah.
Being Human wasn’t so bad.

if only in my dreams
Lily has been having some dreams about James but of course that in no way means she has any feelings for him of any kind
Read below or on AO3 or FFNT
The dreams started about a month into October of Seventh Year. They started slow at first and innocent enough, fun little dreams of the Marauders and Lily’s friends all sat near the fire playing Exploding Snap or chatting at dinner. Slowly, however, they started to shift. Instead of it being all of their friends together, they began to focus in on just her and James. Sometimes they were outlandish and artificial the way dreams could be, like the one where she was a star quidditch player and was playing his team but all of the other teammates were octopuses, or the one where Paul McCartney was their Transfiguration Professor. Fun and ridiculous and clearly too dreamlike to be of any real consequence to her but certainly notable. Yet other times they were so completely and utterly simplistic, domestic even. Calm and casual, just them sitting and laughing and holding hands. Everytime one of those occurred, Lily would wake up feeling content, at peace almost. Then the realization set in and the contentment quickly turned to horror. Those were the scariest dreams of all.
After the first few she was able to write them off as a coincidence, simply neurons firing in her brain as a way of dealing with spending so much time with him during the day as co-heads. Especially as they became friends over those first few months, it was really simple and logical, just her brain dealing with him being so present in her life and working it out as she slept. Considering it’d been years of them fighting and screaming, the sudden shift to friendship and laughing was obviously a lot to process.
The dreams didn’t occur every single night, at least not at first, more like once or twice a week at max. Just enough for her to spend some time thinking about them during a boring Ancient Runes class and processing them, but certainly not enough to cause any real worry or concern over her well being.
Even when they increased in frequency, from twice a week to six times a week plus that one time she zoned out and started daydreaming during History of Magic (which didn’t really count because he was sitting next to her and smelled so good of course it was going to leech into her dreams). It wasn’t hard to rationalize those either. It was completely logical that she’d daydream about lying on the Quidditch pitch alongside James, looking up at the stars together, hands intertwined, because after all they had stood near each other in Astronomy that day and he had pointed out Venus’s moons to her. It was natural, truly.
And it wasn’t difficult at all to make the connections between that day at lunch when she’d almost tripped but he’d caught her with a strong arm wrapped around her waist with that evening, when she had dreamt that same arm was wrapped around her tightly as she sat in front of him on the back of his broomstick as they flew over the school.
They were just dreams. Harmless imaginings of the imagination and the kind of stuff that was covered in day one of Petunia’s psychology courses at muggle Uni. Easily explainable and not in anyway shape or form telling of any real emotions she’d possibly be having.
Except that considering how simple and natural some of the dreams felt, she occasionally started mixing up what had happened between dream James and Lily and real life James and Lily. Was it real James or dream James that had brushed her hand while passing a quill in Transfiguration and set a wild blaze of electricity firing all up and down her arm? Did she actually hear real James’s breath hitch when she had brushed against him while reaching for the bottle of scalamander eyelashes during potions? Was it real James or dream James that she had stood so close to, close enough to feel his chest rising and falling against her as they hid from Filch in a cupboard?
It shouldn’t have been much of a surprise (but of course it still was) when the dreams turned a little more… intimate. When instead of dreaming of lunch in the Great Hall, the scene began to shift to lunch in the Three Broomsticks, just the two of them, followed by hand holding through the streets of Hogsmeade.
Friday night escalated things to nightmare level. Lily had been studying in the common room with Dorcas when the team returned from practice, led by James. Sweaty, grass stained, hair mussed, quidditch gear wearing, James. Lily felt her throat tighten and heart accelerate. His eyes landed on her and instantly smirked, nudging Marlene to point them out before the pair of them headed straight towards her.
“Evans, Meadows,” Lily’s mouth was too dry to respond. She nodded weakly as Marlene flopped down next to her and looked at her strangely.
That image of him haunted her, snuck deep into her subconscious, permeated her thoughts and took root there to flood her dreams. Filled them with him, sweaty and red, but for a reason far different from quidditch, leaning over her, whispering into her ear while she gripped his shoulders and left scratches in a trail down his back.
She couldn’t meet his eye the next day at breakfast.
This process seemed to repeat for the next several weeks: notice something about James during her waking hours that her subconscious would latch onto for the evening, wake up embarrassed, flushed, unsatisfied, and try her hardest to ignore him and stop the cycle. She never succeeded.
The night that really ruined her was right after they’d been partnered in defense. When she’d struggled with the incantation and he’d placed his fingers overtop of hers to show the correct positioning. When she felt how strong and flexible his hand was, how warm and long and rough his calloused fingers were. She felt shivers up and down her neck as he breathed closely to her, smelled mint on his breath, smelled the warm musk that was just so James.
All night she twisted and turned in her sleep, feeling those fingers trace up and down her arms, down her chest, twisting and lapping around the valley of her breast, circling each bud, pushing lower and lower, carving out waves of electricity as they squeezed her hips until she could just feel his fingers circling her clit. She could feel the callouses, could see him smirking at her as he’d bring his head down to meet his fingers, following the same trail of his fingers with his mouth, leaving a series of kisses across her skin.
She’d woken in a tangle of sheets sticking to the sweat on her skin, his name on the edge of her lips.
It’d taken a long, ice cold shower, to clear her head successfully. She stood in the freezing water attempting to justify the dream as just a way for her subconscious to deal with the fact that her close friend was decidedly fit. She tried desperately to cling to the idea of the dreams being a symptom of teenage hormones. However, in spite of her most sincere attempts, it was becoming shockingly clear that the dreams were much more a symptom of her real, genuine feelings for James. Romantic feelings. Spurts of butterflies and rampaging elephants that flooded her heart when he smiled. The fact that he could make her feel so on edge with excitement and anticipation when she saw him coming yet also immediately comfortable and the ability to talk to him about anything.
But she missed her chance. He’d been into her before, sure, but that was long over now. He’d essentially told her as much back in September, when he asked for a ceasefire now that they were both Heads. He’d told her he had grown up and would stop asking her out and bothering her if they could be civil, wasn’t that admitting that he’d left any possible romantic feelings for her behind him? He was over her. He was over her and it wasn’t his problem that she’d just now begun to realize how very badly she wanted him, all of him. She’d just get past it too.
How she was going to possibly get over him when his every waking action filtered through her dreams each night was the real issue. Her fingers were beginning to go numb from the frigid water, nearly shaking as she reached to turn the water off.
She wrapped her towel around her tightly, sheltering her like armour as she met her reflection in the mirror. Cheeks still flushed.
“Get over it,” she whispered to herself. She’d avoid him. That was the best solution. The only way to remove him from her dreams was to remove him from her waking moments as well. It’d be hard to avoid him forever, but at the very least she couldn’t be alone with him. Groups would be safer.
XXX
The next several days were difficult. Filled with eyes flitting away, nodding answers to his questions that had clearly been asked to engage in a conversation, ducking into bathrooms as he came down the corridor, and in a moment of absolute desperation brought on when she saw him standing there waiting for her in the doorway after potions, clearly attempting to walk with her which was essentially an ambush, and she had no choice but to strike up a conversation with Slughorn on the merits of using crushed salamander spleens verses the ever controversial chopped spleens. He’d gone on for about six minutes before James had given up and moved on to lunch, Lily counted to thirty before cutting Slughorn off and dashing away.
In the end she lasted three days of almost complete avoidance. He found her in the library. She’d done her best at hiding, choosing to study in the dusty Arithmancy section that maximum one person and one ghost seemed to visit per year and the table needed a solid Scourgify charm before she was able to sit down. She’d made it through half of her Charms essay before his hands slammed down on the table.
“Lily, I need to talk to you.”
His voice was tense and without looking up she could envision his rigid shoulders and sharp jaw looming over her. Her grip tightened on her quill as she set her shoulders and took a breath.
“Little busy right now, can it wait?”
He scoffed and pulled back the chair opposite her. “You’ve been avoiding me.”
“Not avoiding,” she squeaked, sneaking a glance up to see his gaze locked in on her and quickly averted her eyes back down. “Just busy, very, very busy.”
She could feel the eye roll.
He reached out across the table and closed the textbook she’d been reading from with a thump, forcing her to meet his eyeline with a glare that he unflinchingly met with his own.
“You can’t prove anything,” she crossed her arms across her chest.
“The only proof I needed I got when you suddenly, desperately had to talk to Flitwick about the best technique for forging charms which we all know you mastered three years ago. Or when you needed to discuss that stupid Salamandar debate with Slughorn that was clearly boring even you stale.”
He stated it all dryly, matter of fact, leaving no room for question or debate. They sat there silently for 93 seconds (she counted) as James leaned back in his chair, a vision of casual confidence.
“Fine!” She broke first. “I’m avoiding you. Are you happy? Are we done here now?”
He barked out a laugh, dropping his hands onto the table and folding them together. “We’ll be done when you explain whatever it is I did that made being around me so awful when we were just getting to a place where I thought we were friends, or at the very least capable of being in the same room and having a civil conversation.”
“I think it's time I go.” She pushed all her stuff into her rucksack hastily, hearing an ink well shatter as she did, and practically running to the door. One of the only benefits of the Arithmancy section is that it at least had a fast exit route, away from the main drag of tables, up the side of the aisles. She could hear James scrambling out of his chair and running to catch up with her but she refused to look back, getting as close to running as she could without risking the wrath of Madam Pince.
She was so close to the exit, the taste of freedom on the tip of her tongue. If she could just get out of the library, she could go left out of view and hide in an alcove until he passed or gave up looking. From then it’d be a simple matter of hiding away in her dorm for the next two to six days before she felt capable of facing him. She was rounding the corner to the exit, nodding tightly to Pince, when she felt his fingers wrap around her wrist and yank her into the nearest aisle.
She stared longingly over her shoulder at the exit as it disappeared as James pulled her along, weaving through aisles. Past Charms, past their table in Arithmancy, straight through Potions, all the way deep into the Divination section where the dust on the books appeared to be older than Lily and James combined.
It was there he finally stopped. Pulling her to the center of the aisle and standing strong in front of her.
It was silent for a tic as she stood there counting the seconds, mentally hoping that if she stayed quiet long enough, James would give up and leave.
Instead he cleared his throat. The noise was jarring in the otherwise silent aisle and without thinking her head turned on its own accord away from the dusty tombs to meet his eyes instead. Big mistake. His eyes were positively smoldering, a storm of hazel and gold glaring down at her. She’d always loved his eyes.
“What?” she bit out, forcing herself to break eye contact and stare somewhere around his shoulder instead.
“Start talking, Evans.”
His shoulders looked solid, no way she could charge past them. The way his shirt was pulling taut across them made her wonder if they’d feel as solid as they appeared and how’d they feel on her hands if she dug her nails into them while she-
She ripped her eyes away from his shoulders and down to his shoes instead. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she muttered, studying his laces and fidgeting slightly.
He scoffed and brought his free hand to her chin to tilt her gaze up to meet his once more. There were the eyes again.
“It’s a little late for all that, Lily.” He spoke slowly and quietly, as if she was a young deer he was worried would scamper off. “Now talk to me or I swear to god I’ll learn Occlumency just to get a peek at what you’re thinking about up there.”
Well that was a horrifying thought. Her brain reeled through all the images he’d see if he had actually taken a peek, his body pressing hot up against her, the two of them sitting in a sunlit field, picking dandelions, him wiping away a butterbeer mustache off her top lip as they laughed in the Three Broomsticks, him winning the Quidditch Cup and picking her up to spin her around in front of everyone.
“There,” he whispered accusingly, “that blush all over you right now? You’re hiding something from me, Evans, and that ends right now.” The tone was soft but the words were strong, gaze remaining level with her own, eyes searching her own as if the answer was written within them.
“I’ve been having dreams,” she blurted out, too flustered to be aware of her words and instantly regretting that they had come out. Her insides shrank as she squirmed under his gaze, shifting her weight.
He held steady, keeping his hand still tight on her wrist, not allowing her to move more than a breath away.
“What kind of dreams?” Nothing had changed in his voice, still controlled and level.
“I don’t know!” she snapped out, voice far louder than his own, “the embarrassing kind, okay? Are we done?” She twisted her wrist out of his own, somewhat surprised when he allowed her to. She was free, a part of her knew she should run right now and make her grand escape but a much larger part wanted to see what James would say, do, now that the truth was coming out.
She could practically see his wheels turning, mentally piecing together her words with her actions and the ramifications of it all. He was being too quiet, taking too long, and the words were boiling up in her now, desperate to fill the silence.
“They’re just dreams, okay? They don’t actually mean anything, it’s really not that big of a deal even,” she insisted, repeating the words she had spent the last several weeks telling herself out loud for the first time.
“If they don’t mean anything, why are you still blushing like that? And why would I be avoiding me? And what kind of dreams are the embarrassing ones exactly?” His brow was furrowed and a hand was rooted in his hair.
“They’re just stupid and random and unrealistic,” she spluttered, feeling the blush reach down to her toes.
“So tell me about one!” He demanded, “what happened in the most recent one? Did I kill you or something?”
“Oh please you don’t get it at all, you buffoon.” The embarrassment quickly was turning into rage and the words were pouring out.. “You didn’t kill me, you kissed me. Okay? More than kissed me really. You happy now?”
James was decidedly not happy. His expression turned only more incredulous with each passing second as her words took effect on him. His left hand dropped from her wrist to join his right firmly rooted in his hair, pulling and twisting.
She stared at him expectantly, waiting for a response, a realization, a reaction, anything. But instead he just stood there. Dumbfounded or disgusted or downright confused.
The seconds ticked by and her discomfort level rose as each one passed. The rage faded back to embarrassment and formed tears pricking at the back of her eyes, blinking furiously and squeezing her nails into her palms to try and stop any from leaking out.
“Are you going to say anything or just stand there ripping out your hair?”
He continued to stare, unmoving.
“Goodbye, James,” she spat out, crossing her arms tightly across her chest and pushing straight through him.
She heard him splutter something and got about six steps ahead before hearing his thundering steps behind her catching up to her. She pushed ahead until she felt his hand grip her shoulder and turn her around again
There was a scream on the tip of her tongue as she was pulled around to face him. “What, Jam-”
Her exclamations were silenced as he pushed his lips down onto hers. She hesitated for a moment in shock before throwing her arm around his neck and pulling him against her, leaning up on her tiptoes and responding enthusiastically. His hand from her shoulder pushed up to caress her cheek, other hand pressing hard and unforgiving into her hip.
“Was it like that?” The words were a whisper, hot against her face, barely a breath of space between them. “In your dream, was it like that?”
She barely nodded before pulling his lips back down to meet hers.
It was harsh and unyielding and not the kind of first kiss she had ever imagined for them but was certainly something taken right out of her dreams. She felt his hand tilting her head, adjusting their angle to fit perfect against each other as his tongue reached out to meet hers. Hot and heady and unbelievably perfect.
She didn’t notice them turning until her back was pushed up against the shelf. Corners and spines of the dusty volumes pressing up against her barely registering when there was so much of him to feel up against her. His scent surrounding her entirely, permeating the air around her until all she could think, smell, feel was just him.
He pulled back again, still barely a centimeter away and clearly reluctant to do so. “Wait, wait,” he heaved, “what exactly about a dream like that is ‘unrealistic’?”
She stammered unintelligibly for a moment, head filled with fog and fist curling tighter in the fabric of his shirt to anchor herself and him next to each other, “I just meant that we were friends now and you didn’t want to be…. you know.”
He cocked an eyebrow inquisitively, “enlighten me.”
“With me! Romantically speaking!” Her cheeks burned again, and eyes flitted down to where her hand was twisting his shirt.
Until she heard laughter. Actual laughter. One quick look at his face confirmed it, James Potter was actually laughing at her.
“Dear God, Evans,” he brought his hand to caress her cheek, thumb tracing her lower lip. “Evans, if I ever, and I mean ever, say I don’t want to be with you ‘romantically speaking’ you might as well Avada me right then and there because that is clearly an imposter.”
He didn’t give her a second to respond, crashing his lips back down onto hers.
And then he was snogging her again, harder. This instantly shut down her brain, eliminating the potential to analyze the implications of what he had just said because of course there would be time for analysis later but right now, in this moment, there was no time for that. There was no time for that because James Potter was snogging her in the depths of the library and it was so much better than any dream she’d ever had. She had no idea how long they’d stood there snogging, hands pulling hair and bruising skin and leaving her so utterly weak in the knees that she became vehemently grateful for the support of his arm around her back and the shelf she was leaning on. Minutes, hours, days, years, until she was so out of breath that she was practically sighing against his lips as they both slowed down, exhausted but so unwilling to separate, lips still brushing as they breathed in and out.
Her eyes remained closed and she pressed their heads together, lips no more than a centimeter apart.
“Hey Evans?” He sighed out, kissing her again chastely.
She hummed in response, rubbing her nose against his lightly and pushing up for one of those chaste kisses of her own, feeling his glasses press into her nose.
“Go out with me?”

back here with the scattered au, i'm having fun with the hybrids! but they're not having as much fun as me. oh well!
@helleborusangel Scattered au made by @hermitcraftheadcanons
Five days ago, pillagers had found the village. Though the villagers had weapons, they didn’t know how to successfully defend against the invaders. Instead, they all ran inside, bolting their doors and hoped that the iron golem would be enough. But Cleo knew better. She knew more waves would just come and one iron golem couldn’t defeat them all.
Though she wanted to stay inside, not have to deal with being around the villagers and the iron golem, she also knew she didn’t want to listen to the villagers being slaughtered around her. Cleo didn’t have much in the way of gear though, so regretfully, she knew she was going to have to steal.
With the golem out of the way, she burst from her stolen home and ran towards the armorers. Though it took a few swings, she was able to break down the door to the frightened villager inside. “I don’t care if it’s gold or chain, just hand me some armor!”
At the sight of a zombie breaking in and demanding things, the villager decided it would be better to comply instead of die, so he handed Cleo a full set of iron armor. In a rush, she put it on, then left the house, putting the door back in a way that it would bolt properly. From there, she then ran to the toolsmith and fletcher’s houses to do the same: break in, demand gear, then help fix the door.
By the time she had enough equipment, the raid had nearly reached the town, just barely being held back by the golem who was on its last legs. She raced towards the thing that was the bane of her existence the past week and gave him some iron bars to heal with. Then, she swung her sword at the pillager that had just been attacking, finishing what the golem had started.
From there, Cleo worked on attacking the pillagers until the wave was complete, then getting up to the roof of her house for a better vantage point. When the next group of illagers appeared, Cleo started with bowing them down from afar, grabbing their attention and pulling it away from the village and its residents.
When the ravager appeared over the horizon, Cleo changed her tactics, doing everything she could to lead it away from the village so it couldn’t tear the place apart. The iron golem was able to deal with the pillagers she left behind, but when she finally defeated the beast and returned, there was one illager left. Since it was focused on the golem, Cleo found it easy enough to run in and finish off the evoker, watching as the totem they wore as a medallion fell to the ground as their body turned to smoke.
Cleo waited with bated breath for another horn to sound, but instead the area was filled with the sounds of fireworks as the villagers left their houses. Her next action was to pull her shield out, prepared to be attacked by the golem, but it didn’t swing at her. Instead, the villagers crowded around her in praise, a few of them handing her gifts. She was handed an iron axe, some various wools, clay, leather, even a flower from one of the children. Then, the librarian approached her.
The villager held out their hand, asking to see the totem. Since Cleo was already dead, she didn’t really have need for it, so she handed it over. In trade, the villager fished around in their pockets, and instead of pulling out a book as a gift, they pulled out a clock, it being the best offer they had as a gift.
Not wanting to turn away the hospitality, Cleo took the clock with a thank you. The following days she was allowed to walk around the village freely, helping out where she could, mostly securing all the doors and helping the golem out at night. She was even able to convince a villager here or there to help fight the monsters with her, their only hang up before being the thought of being turned, now more brave from Cleo’s help.
But as the villagers got better, Cleo got worse. After the raid, she preferred to help out at sunset until sunrise, having gotten what was essentially another sunburn. She ended up crafting doors, spreading them around her now official house and tricking herself into breaking them down. Sometimes when she was out at night, she tried with the villager’s doors. Her excuse was testing their locks, making sure any villagers wouldn’t be taken by surprise, but Cleo could tell something wasn’t right with her.
And when the monsters became neutral to her, her worries just strengthened. The next morning, when the mobs were dealt with, she went to the fletchers to confirm all her suspicions. Instead of barging in, she politely knocked on their door, willing herself to not break it down. The fletcher opened the door, glad to see her when she knew they should be scared. She asked, begged for a health or regeneration arrow. Though they were hesitant, they asked her to return later that day for it, so she did.
In the late afternoon, as the sun was on its way down, Cleo took the specially crafted arrow. Not wanting to wait, she pricked herself with the arrow head right then and there. She took barely any damage from the slight prick of the weapon, but then the potion seeped into her. What should have been healing felt like poison running through her, causing her to fall to the ground. She was barely aware of the fletcher helping her up, other villagers coming to her side.
Cleo felt in horror as they picked her up, her hand falling off from the movement. She was carried back to her base and put in bed, the unlucky villager that took her hand placing it on her nearby crafting table. But right now she didn’t care. The villagers feared her before, but now, they were too comfortable around a zombie.

Zedaph panted as he followed behind Tango as they trekked through the jungle. The place seemed to be endless, and if it weren’t for his coordinates saying otherwise, he would have thought they were going in circles. Unfortunately, it seemed they were pretty far out from spawn. Since they already had a number of issues with the world, Zedaph wouldn’t be surprised that they also had to deal with one of the rarer worlds with large biomes.
“Zed! You can’t just take your shirt off!” Tango said as the sheep hybrid stopped to do just that, needing some way to maybe cool off at least a little.
“But it’s so hot!” He complained. “It’s not like I’m taking off my pants. And I can always put it back on.” And then he threw it jokingly at Tango, making the shirt promptly catch on fire and all but turn to ash. “Um, or not. Oops.”
“Zedaph!” Tango complained, which just managed to make the shirt worse from his frustration fueling the flames.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” Zed apologized. “Uh, look on the bright side! I was thinking I needed a new look anyway and this is an excuse for that.” But as Zedaph talked, Tango stopped listening, instead looking down. It didn’t take long for Zed to notice, so he quickly scolded his friend. “Hey! You’re not allowed to complain about me taking off my shirt if you’re going to start eyeing me.”
“Wh- Zedaph!” Tango replied, eyes snapping back up to Zed’s face and some nearby foliage catching on fire. “No! I wasn’t doing- Just look down!”
Zedaph was a little confused, but he looked down. Even though he was no longer wearing a shirt, his chest was still covered by some wool. “Oh my god! Tango!” Tango looked worried, especially at Zedaph’s reaction, but then the sheep hybrid continued, his tone more clear. “I’ve always wanted to take the time to do this!”
“Wait, what?” Tango asked, now more confused.
“Well, you know how if I don’t cut my hair for too long, we have to use shears because it’s too wooly? Well that’s sort of like… everything for me ‘cause being a hybrid gives me hypertrichosis, and if I really wanted to deal with it, I could not shave for a month or two and just go full sheep!”
“Zed I understood like half of that, and only enough to know it’s been around a week and not a month or two so this is super worrying!”
But the sheep hybrid just brushed Tango off. “Well we’ve got more important things to worry about. Like finding Impulse and everyone else!” And Zedaph started to walk again, only to be stopped again by Tango.
“How can you be so calm about this?!” The blaze hybrid shouted, not caring about a nearby tree catching fire and Zedaph’s reaction to the surrounding temperature trying to rival that of the nether. “We’re stranded and lost with everyone else who knows where! Impulse is stuck drowning over and over again while you’re too focused on getting to him to worry about if you can even do anything while it’s obvious you’re changing more into a sheep! We’ve already got issues with respawning, what happens if you stop respawning altogether?!”
By the time Tango paused to take a breath, the surrounding terrain was all charred and there was the smell of burnt hair from Zedaph’s newly singed wool. A part of him was upset about having hurt the other hybrid, but the other part was glad, thinking he deserved it.
“Tango.” Zedaph spoke in a more serious but also calming tone. “It’s obvious I’m not the only one dealing with… this.” And he gestured to the wool. “I’ve already been eating wheat straight, and then you keep burning things up and are getting far too angry. Hostile even. I know this is worrying, but we’re both dealing with this right now and suck in one of the easiest biomes to go up in flames. We sort of just don’t want to get stuck in a death loop of fire. Well, you might be fine, but I won’t.”
Tango thought it over, then sighed, taking a few deep breaths to calm himself down. “Right. Sorry. I’m just… I’m worried about Impulse, yeah, but I’m worried about you too. And it felt like you didn’t care.”
“Oh, I definitely care.” Zed nodded. “I’m just caring about stuff that’s more important. Like is that a birch tree?”
Tango’s head whipped around in the direction Zedaph pointed, and sure enough, in the distance and hidden somewhat by the jungle’s foliage, was the white and black wood of a birch tree, it’s darker desaturated leaves standing out against the brightness of the biome the pair currently stood in.

Ren had no clue where he was, only that he was in a taiga. After he had killed- After Etho had died, Ren gathered up all the dropped belongings and started travelling towards spawn. And then he reached the edge of a taiga close to night and set up a base, only to wake back up in the morning with a pack of wolves surrounding the place.
Being alone hadn’t felt the best, so suddenly having the company of wolves was a nice change of pace. Plus, with regen bugged, having some extra help would be appreciated. Not to mention that Ren had killed plenty of skeletons while travelling. So he tried taking a few wolves, only to find himself half an hour later with no bones, and no wolves tamed.
It really frustrated Ren. Sure, maybe he had kept a few of the bones for himself, but he had nearly a full stack when he started trying to tame the oth- the wolves, and none of them decided to listen. So, with all that time wasted, Ren frustratedly put away his items, getting what gear he would keep for the day, and started walking.
He had only travelled about a chunk or so when Ren realized that the wolves were following him. He double checked, seeing that none of them were truly tamed, no collars having appeared, but Ren wondered if that was just another odd feature of this world. If it was, he wasn’t complaining too much, especially since there were more wolves following than he even tried taming.
When night fell again, Ren didn’t really feel the need to bother setting up a base. He and the wolves easily took down any monster that appeared, only having slight issues with creepers. But Ren had killed so many skeletons, he had a decent bow and plenty of arrows, which made quick work of the exploding monsters. Then, once all the monsters were dealt with, Ren set up a new bed and tried to get to sleep, all the wolves joining him until they all just looked like a giant pile of fur.
When the sun rose again, Ren just started following the wolves around. At some point he dropped his communicator, but didn’t really notice, just happy to have another pack to hang with. And if they stayed in the taiga, he wasn’t all too disappointed. For all he knew, he was getting closer to spawn anyway, the wolves helping him along. And it did seem like the biomes were pretty large, so who knew how long it would be until some new scenery.

Gem stopped brushing at the loess as she heard movement nearby. The already loosened block crumbled under her abrupt stop, along with whatever had been encased in it, but Gem was too focused on the noise to care. As she looked around, trying to hear anything else, she stomped her foot loudly a few times, letting whatever was know she had heard it.
Another noise let Gem pin down where it was coming from, and she set down her brush to move towards it, sword in hand. There was another sound, and this time Gem realized that it sounded like another person, so she threw most of her caution to the wind to see who it was.
As she finally reached the source of the sound, she was disappointed to not immediately see anyone nearby. Instead, she was just met by the pillar that had appeared near her spawn. She was about to sigh and chalk it up to her imagination from being lonely, when something new caught her eye.
Walking over to the pillar, Gem kept her eyes on what now sat on the ground in front of it, that being a dark red feather. It was unusual for three big reasons. The first was that those only really belonged to parrots, who hung out in jungles and not wherever she was now. Second, this wasn’t quite the right color for a parrot of any color. Then the last unusual thing was the fact that the feather was much too large to belong to a parrot.
Gem picked the feather up and was surprised how it seemed to turn a brighter red as she picked it up. It definitely was much closer to the color she was used to parrots having, so maybe it was just from the lighting. She put it back down to check, watching as while it did get darker again, her hand didn’t react the same way.
While she wanted to try and learn more, there was the snap of a branch nearby, and Gem quickly looked over in that direction, alert for whatever had caused it. A moment later, an arrow flew past her, causing Gem to run in the other direction, agile as a deer. As she ran, she dropped the feather, not noticing as it fell against the pillar, now a purple color instead of red.

Doc had finally gotten rid of all the goats. For the most part, they were all just further down the island and not completely dead, but for him, that was enough for now. It had taken long enough that he was able to learn more about the thing that appeared at his spawn. Apparently goats weren’t the only thing that would be punished if they attacked the pillar as a skeleton shot it instead of Doc and seemed to be killed by an invisible enderman, or something that had similar particles.
With further testing, Doc was able to get other mobs to accidently attack the pillar and also have similar reactions, which really told him it was something he didn’t want to mess with himself. But in testing the pillar, Doc learned something new and also a bit worrying. In testing if he could actually keep a skeleton from being killed by whatever was killing it - a skeleton because they were the easiest to get to attack the pillar - it ended up shooting and killing him.
At first, Doc wasn’t too concerned about that. He wasn’t losing much, only a goat horn or two, plus he was just respawning the same place as always. But when Doc got rid of the skeleton and grabbed his horns and experience, Doc was surprised to find something new on the ground. A music disc.
Stunned, the creeper hybrid stared at the item. In the past he had been killed by skeletons and this hadn’t happened. But thinking it over, Doc realized how creepers had been ignoring him, and he had been hissing more often than normal. He thought the latter was just stress, but with the behavior of other creepers and now this, maybe something else was going on.
Before he could think about it more, Doc suddenly looked up as water started to pour from above. It wasn’t from rain, he was just a little too high for rain. Instead, it was a stream of water, like a waterfall. It landed right nearby his ledge, meaning it was something that he could reach and use for a way down. And then he watched as something floated down it.
The blue water was tainted with red, glittering as it swirled around in the current. Doc thought he barely heard a yell before suddenly something much larger fell. Recognizing it as a person, Doc quickly jumped after whoever it was, knowing that the water would keep the fall from killing them.
Doc reached the puddle left at the bottom of the fall and ran over to the person collapsed in the water, only to find it wasn’t really a person. Instead, what he was faced with was a very recognizable robot. Before he could try to shake them awake or say their name, he suddenly was hit from behind, and knocked unconscious.

Jevin frowned as the walls shook again. It was very annoying. He just wanted to hang around with his axolotl friends and eat more glowberries. But whatever was making that noise didn’t seem to care. He tried to ignore it, but then the walls shook enough that some nearby gravel got disrupted and fell. For the most part, that wouldn’t be too bad, but part of the pond he was in was lined with gravel which apparently had nothing below it and also collapsed. For a moment Jevin was worried about sinking into the sinkhole that appeared, but he instead found he was very buoyant and didn’t have to really think about floating.
Looking down into the newly formed hole, Jevin was able to see something glowing, and his first thought was that it could have been one of the new glow squids. When his axolotl friends swam down to nibble at whatever it was, he thought that had to be the case, but then he watched as the form below hit them away.
While he knew the mobs were just playing dead, when Jevin saw their small bodies floating down, he worried about what had been his only friends for the past week and tried to swim down to them, only to find he couldn’t. It was like he was stuck in a bubble stream that was pushing him up and keeping him from reaching the mobs.
As he watched helplessly, the thing that looked like a glow squid slowly rose to the top of the pond, having swum up. As they finally surfaced, coughing a bit, Jevin didn’t give them a moment before attacking them. Whatever it was didn’t like that, and attacked back, slamming Jevin into a nearby wall. The initial hit hurt his health enough that hitting the wall was enough to take away the rest of his health, but surprisingly, Jevin didn’t feel like he had respawned. And Jevin didn’t feel like he had respawned.
A noise made Jevin look up again, and a noise made Jevin look up again. Standing in the pool was what looked like some sort of new mob and it seemed to be looking between Jevin and something to his right. And to him, it looked like the mob was looking between him and something to his left. With it not attacking back immediately, Jevin looked to his side to see whatever the mob was focused on, only to see one of the last things he expected. Himself.

Noah watched Grian as he followed behind Pin who currently held seeds in his hand. The writer seemed to be playing some sort of keep away game, with the avian trying to get the seeds for himself. As Noah continued to watch, Goofball walked in, looking just a little flustered and trying to deal with a folder of loose papers that were trying to escape. “Sorry it took so long.”
“It’s fine, Pin kept him distracted.” Noah replied, making the other Watcher realize what was going on. “Yeah I don’t know either.”
“I mean, he’s not still in the experiment, so maybe that’s making his instincts get advanced too much?” Pin spoke up, finally dropping the seeds, which Grian launched himself at. “Did you manage to find Yus or Zem and tell them anything?”
Goofball shook his head. “No, they’re too busy dealing with the hub world fallout. You’d think it would be better than this after Evo.”
“Well, that was a while ago. And not as many people really watched it. I mean, we weren’t even official back then.”
Noah was about to speak up when he was suddenly dealing with a hefty amount of feathers as Grian plopped himself on the couch next to him, letting one wing smack the Watcher in his face. As Noah struggled with the feathered appendage, Pin and Goofball watched as Grian started summoning lots of hay bales, then started spreading them across the ground. “Oh void, is he turning this place into a nest again?”
“Yes.”
“We’re going to stop it before it gets as bad as last time, right?”
“Not if we can’t get help from Zem and Yus to send him back to the experiment.” Pin replied, but then he got corrected as suddenly the folder Goofball had come in with was taken from his hands.
“It’s much easier for us to Watch things if we’re not stuck inside the experiment. You know that, right Wrivitar?” And the trio looked at Grian, now holding the folder and a sly look on his face briefly there before he covered it by putting a mask on his face. “Now, time to go over these files.”

A/N: Expect a part 2 soon!
Also if you’re interested in letter commission they’re open here!
* You’re probably in his house, a few years younger than him.
* He noticed you as this painfully shy thing, and didn’t really think much about you
* Just another shy kid, you would find your friends and be on your way in no time
* Still he can’t help but notice you
* Always quietly trailing behind the others on the way to class
* Maybe you’re just nervous? He heard you were muggle born
* So imagine when Cedric see’s you cheering the loudest on the quidditch stands for your house team.
* A massive grin on your face as he catches the snitch
* “Well that’s kinda cute”
* He always see’s you with your nose in a textbook, a slight crease between your eyebrows
* He wonders if he should go over and help
* “No, best to leave them to it” he tells himself
* You don’t talk much during meals, not unless you’re spoken to first
* And yet, you’re a friend to everyone
* Need some parchment? You’re already cutting yours in half. Dropped your ink? Here, they can have one of yours. Forgot your book? Don’t worry we can share!
* You’re so...
* Kind
* Your kindness radiates off of you like the heat of a summer day
* And before he knows it, Cedric is always looking for you.
* He knows all your favorite places, your favorite nook in the library to read, your spot at the hufflepuff table, the place in the back of the stands where you cheer for him.
* He’s only just worked up the nerve to talk to you, you’re in your favorite spot in the library when George Weasley beats him to it
* “Hey (Y/N), working on Snape’s assignment?”
* “Yeah, I’m really stumped on this part of the potion though.”
* “Oh, I remember that, the trick is in how you stir it. I know because Fred and I blew the thing up.”
* He hears you laugh
* Looks like he’s not the only one who’s noticed your kindness
* His face feels hot as he takes another glance back at the table
* You’re laughing at something George is saying, and George is grinning as he watches you
* And Cedric feels his heart squeeze a bit
* He’s never seen you laugh like that before, so open and free
* Well, he won’t ruin your fun, and he spins on his heal back to his friends
* “When did they even become friends” he mumbles to himself
* “What’s wrong?” George asks, but your eyes stay fixed on the golden boy who’s laughing at something his friend had said
* For a second- when you saw him coming this way- you hoped...
* “Nothing, do you remember this potion too?”
* After a month of hanging out with Fred and George your public profile is through the roof.
* Before you were practically invisible, but now everyone knows who you are.
* “They’re pretty cute aren’t they?” One of his friends says, gesturing to where you’re sitting with George and Fred in the courtyard
* Cedric sighs, he had started to think of you as his little secret
* But now everyone knows
* “Yeah they are.”
* He wants to approach you, he really does. But he feels awkward about it now
* He doesn’t want you to think he’s only talking to you now that you’re popular
* He’s wondering what the most organic way to approach you would be when you show up on the quidditch pitch for try outs
* All in your quidditch gear, strapping in your helmet
* Now nothing would delight Cedric more than to give you a spot on the team.
* You’re a hard worker and he knows that
* But he just doesn’t think you have what it takes to play
* So imagine his surprise when you execute all the drills perfectly, and your team even wins during the try outs
* He watches your team swarm around you, burying you in head pats and hugs, the smile on your face is absolutely bewitching
* “Looks like we found our keeper, huh?” Heidi Macavoy says, and Cedric only grins
* “I think we did.”
* Cedric makes sure he’s the one who personally tells you that you made the team
* “I’ve got some bad news-“ he’s teasing, and he almost feels bad when he see’s your face fall
* “Oh my god I didn’t make it did I?” Your face falls into your hands.
* You didn’t make it and they sent the golden boy, Cedric Diggory, himself as some sort of consolation prize
* “The bad news is...you’re going to have to start waking up pretty early on Saturdays to be at practice on time”
* Wait what?
* You slowly lift your head to see a bright yellow quidditch robe in your size
* The smile you have on your face is worth it.
* He’s thinking that smile is prize enough, so when you wrap your arms around his shoulders and squeeze him into a hug he stumbles back
* His arms hover for a second, before softly eating on your back
* “Thank you for the opportunity you won’t regret it!”
* You look at him with such wide shining eyes he can’t help but chuckle
* He pats your head
* “I’ll hold you to that”
* You don’t give him a chance to regret getting you on the team, let alone any of the others
* Always early to practice, always hanging back even when everyone’s left just to get a few minutes in.
* You’re a hard worker, he already knew that, but now it looks like everyone else is starting to know too
* “That (L/N)’s a real hard worker aren’t they?” Maxine asks casually as they’re walking to class
* Malcolm nods from beside her
* “Aye, I went out a few nights ago because I couldn’t sleep, thought might as well go for a run, they were on the pitch with the Weasley boys practicing blocking”
* Cedric sighs, another thing he’s going to have to learn to share
* “Yeah, they’re a really hard worker, kind too.”
* Malcom carries on with the conversation but Maxine doesn’t miss the glint in Cedric’s eye
* Ah, so he’s fond of you is he
* That’s a little weird considering Cedric could have a Veela girl, or literally a super model
* But he’s got a crush on you
* Shy, awkward, hard working, kind - you
* Well she gets it, she’s got a soft spot for you too
* Cedric sighs frustrated as he walks to his class
* He’s been playing quidditch with you for an entire term now
* But the two of you haven’t got any closer
* Maybe this is just the best he can hope for, a casual aquantince - it’s better than what he had before
* He shouldn’t be greedy
* But then the Draco Incident happens
* He’s not exactly sure what happened- he has not a single doubt that Draco I Instigated it somehow-
* But by the time he gets to the scene, his prefect badge glimmering
* “What’s going on here?”
* “The mud blood was about to attack me!” Draco snarls
* Cedric flinches at the word, in all 15 years of life Cedric’s never actually heard someone use that word
* But you don’t move an inch, your eyes narrowing into a glare
* “That’s rich coming from the weasel faced-inbred-derelict that was just threatening me” You snarl back
* Cedric has to cover his laugh with a cough
* He manages to get you out of the situation with only ten points taken from your house
* Little enough that no one in your house would hold a grudge against you, but size able enough so that no teacher would say he was playing favorites.
* “A weasel faced derelict” he whispers to himself
* Grinning as he watches the Weasley boys pull you into their fold
* Asking you what happened only for you to shake your head-
* He wants to know what happened too but
* His grin grows even wider
* Right now he’s just happy to have seen a side of you he didn’t know about before
* “So brave and kind”
* The total package
* Looks like he finally has something to talk to you about

hi!! could I request a jealous james fic? Idk why its one of my fav tropes!! Literally obsessed with your writing and can't wait to see where you take this :))
Ask and you shall RECEIVE Anon, find this on A03 too 😍
Chapter: Jealousy Looks Good on You
“I heard a funny rumour.” A deep voice said, breaking her concentration from the paperwork she was sorting.
“Oh did you now?” Lily asked, leaning back in her desk chair to look at the owner of said voice.
James had clearly just come from the training room, hair plastered to his forehead with sweat, and his usual Auror robes replaced with workout gear that displayed his toned physique far too nicely.
“Yeah, Fenwick said he was taking you out for drinks tonight.”
“And that’s a rumour is it?” Lily asked, her brow cocked in question.
“Of course, you wouldn’t go out with Fenwick.” James insisted, leaning against her desk, arms crossed angrily over his chest.
“And who says I wouldn’t go out with Benjy?”
“Anyone who knows you!” He countered, shooting her an exasperated look.
Lily just shook her head, turning back to the confiscation reports she had to finish before she did indeed go out for drinks with Benjy Fenwick.
“James, I have to finish these reports, would you mind if we had this conversation after you showered? You kind of stink.”
He ignored her, pulling up a chair so he was sat right beside her.
“Are you really going out with Fenwick tonight?”
“Yes, I am.”
“Why?”
Lily nearly coughed out a laugh at that one. Why? Well, that was a simple question with a rather complicated answer.
But instead, she just shrugged, “He’s cute, he asked, I said yes.”
“Seems like a bullshit reason Evans.”
Lily did laugh this time, “how on earth is that a bullshit reason Potter?”
He shrugged, “cause he’s not your type.”
“And who is my type?”
Potter just shrugged again, though his expression was now tightly guarded, “Not Fenwick, I know that much.”
Lily couldn’t help the eye roll, discussing her dating life with James was just creating a knot in the pit of her stomach. And his little performance was just making her feel even worse.
“I don’t want to have this conversation with you” Lily huffed, dotting an i on her paper a bit too aggressively. “Now go shower, you really do smell.”
“We’re not done this conversation.” James insisted, though he stood up from his spot beside her.
Waiting until he had moved off to the auror locker rooms, Lily angrily kicked the bin underneath her desk.
Why was he so fucking confusing?
Their entire Hogwarts career James had chased after her. And Lily, who was so wrapped up in her school work and aspirations had only ever seen him as an annoying nuisance. But then they were co-heads, and he matured so much. He was no longer pulling pranks (that she could prove), he cared about becoming an Auror, about making a difference.
By the time graduation rolled around she suddenly found herself unable to tear her gaze away from his jawline, or the way his smirk seemed to crinkle his hazel eyes.
But by the time Lily had come to her senses, James had moved on, and she was just getting started.
He’d started dating Tabitha Cornwall when they began Auror training, and every smile, kiss, hand hold, between the two had been like a punch to the gut.
Even still, Lily remained friends with James, she wasn’t about to stop being friends with a bloke because he didn’t like her back. Though she was able to find excuses to not attend any function Tabitha would also be at.
Lily had the fact able to specialize early to thank for her ability to get out of events. Her genius in potion making meant she got to move away from the other trainee’s and into the magical forensic department. Less time around James and Tabitha meant she didn’t find out they had broken up until a month after the fact.
She would be lying if she hadn’t felt a surge of hope, every wink he threw her way made her heart soar.
But after Tabitha came Marcy, then Georgia, then a beautiful blonde named Clara that made Lily feel like she could never compare.
But even Clara didn’t last, and a long string of girlfriends and dates made Lily believe she really didn’t have a chance anymore.
So she threw herself into her work. Spending hours in the potions lab, and even more hours sampling and collecting data. Liky was so sucked up in her work that it took Marlene pointing it out for her to realize it had been two years since she’d been on a date.
So when Benjy had asked her out for drinks at a fancy new muggle bar in Kensington yesterday afternoon she thought why not. He was cute, funny, dedicated to his work. He really was just her type.
Shaking thoughts of James from her head she went back to her reports. She was going to have fun tonight, and she wasn’t going to let his strange performance stop her from enjoying herself.
By the time 5 O’clock rolled around, she had nearly forgotten about James’s odd protest about her date with Benjy.
Fixing her makeup in the ladies' toilet, Lily nearly jumped when a loud knock sounded on the door.
“Who’s in there?” A male voice asked, muffled by the thick wood of the door.
“Err Lily Evans?” She called back,
“Anyone else?”
A quick glance around the room told her she was alone,
“No?”
The door opened and James stepped in, locking the door behind him.
“James what are you doing? This is the ladies' toilets!” Lily hissed, looking around again as if someone might catch him.
“Don’t go out with Fenwick tonight.” He said, ignoring her.
“Why not.” She asked, setting down the pan of blusher she’d been applying to the apples of her cheeks.
“Because it’s not a good idea.”
“Is Benjy secretly a Death Eater? Because if he is you might want to report that to someone else.”
“No, it’s not that.” James huffed, leaning against the door, arms crossed and brows knit together in a frustrated expression.
“Then what is it. Why shouldn't I go out with him tonight.” Lily implored, eyes searching his face, “Tell me right now. Why should I not go out with him?”
James shook his head, eyes fixed on the floor.
“James.” She said taking a step towards him, her voice softer than before, “Why should I not go?”
He still didn't look up, but he finally spoke. “I don’t want you to go.”
“What?” She asked, more in shock than wanting him to repeat himself.
“I said I don’t want you to go.”
She was now standing in front of him, he’d showered since they last spoke, the smell of his body wash was tickling her nose.
“Why don’t want me to go?”
This time he did lookup. “You know why.”
She barely had time to react when two strong hands cupped her face, bringing his mouth to hers.
Lily wasn’t one of those romantics who described first kisses like fireworks.
But it felt as if her whole body was filled with popping candy, her lips burning where his tongue traced. His hands dragged up her sides, pulling her tightly to his body before settling. One hand on her waist holding her snuggly against him, the other cupping the back of her head.
“Wait,” she gasped, breaking their kiss, “You were jealous!”
He rolled his eyes, “clearly Evans.”
She stood up on her tiptoes, eager to continue, but this time it was his turn to pull away.
“Are you still going out with Fenwick tonight?” He asked, hazel eyes searching her own with a pained expression.
“I think I’ll tell Benjy I need to take a raincheck.”

Sprint Challenge: 3.31.21
I am aware this is a day late but it's finally done!
"Dude, how did you mess this up?!"
"I did everything you told me to!"
"Bro, obviously not! Now we have a sleeping beauty who didn't consent nor a way to wake her up! Our grades are gone and maybe our magical career period! We don't even know if she's a witch or a human!" Nino's voice rose with his stress to a higher pitch, hands clutching his short curls, his hat long forgotten on the floor when he first entered the room.
"I know this Nino!"
"Adrien. Dude, bro I need you to think very carefully and tell me what you used for this potion."
"I don’t remember the exact order but I wrote down most of it on this paper. I used all the ingredients listed, like you told me to." The blonde pulled the page from his spell journal where it was tucked and passed it over for observation.
"Okay well half of these would kill a human, vampire or any type of sea related being. So she's magical somehow at least."
“Because that makes me feel better…” The wind based wizard muttered.
“It should! It means she’s sleeping and not dead, you dummy!” The childish insult slipped out before he could help it and the blonde drew back as if he’d been slapped.
“I’m the dummy? You’re not much better if you can’t reverse the spell you gave me!” Adrien snapped, moving from his seated position to start pacing as the stress was finally hitting him. Even Plagg, his familiar, seemed to be judging his newest failure.
“Dude, chillax. I promise we can fix this, it’s just going to take some time… Hopefully no one puts up a missing poster.” The Earth affiliated wizard-to-be moved from the couch where the young woman slept and started to pull together the ingredients used.
“Nino! Seriously?!”
“Adrien, I got you. It will be fine, now I need your help to recreate this potion so I can figure out a reverse or cure depending on its… Potency.”
Adrien grumbled but made his way over to the workbench, picking up Plagg from the back of the couch on his way. Using the hand written instructions they measured out the ingredients and consulted other books on the different effects mixing the ingredients would have. In the midst of their research a knock sounded at the door. Nino left his blonde friend to answer the door. Pulling the heavy oak open revealed another teen slightly taller and muscular, his hair was a contrast to his dark robes being black faded to teal tips. His hand were raised and empty to show he was non-threatening.
"Hi, I have a somewhat awkward question but I'm looking for someone and hoping you may have seen her? On the petite side, blue black hair in pigtails and wears a ladybug cloak?"
"Sorry can't say that we have, what's her name? We can keep a look out for you."
"That'd be great." The stranger smiled.
"Hey I found something that could help." Adrien piped up from the work table, drawing the other males attention inward.
"Oh thank God you brought her inside."
Now they were both concerned and eyeing the newcomer with suspicion. Between the two, being an air and earth affinity that knew each other from boyhood, they had countless hours of spellcasting and mock fighting techniques that were being geared up to use against this stranger.
“Ah, that didn’t come out right. Her name is Marinette and her familiar Tikki has been looking for her all day. Usually she’s too busy taking care of everyone else that she forgets herself and well, falls into a mild coma to recover. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her fall asleep this deeply though....”
“So uh, my dude…” Nino carefully spoke, shifting slightly so his wand was easier to reach.
“Luka, you might know Juleka? She’s my little sister.”
“Oh, we have potions class together! Juleka never said anything about a brother though.”
“We’re always around each other so no need to miss or talk about each other. So where did you find Sleeping Beauty? Last I knew she was sketching for Mendelvie’s class.”
“Uh, well…” Adrien shared a look with his best friend and decided to come clean with a sheepish countenance. “Funny story, I was making a potion for class and found the last ingredient I needed near where Marinette was sketching… She asked for something to drink and I gave her the wrong jar…”
"Well whatever you put in it definitely worked to get her to sleep but she's not under a sleeping spell. This is for Bustier's test right?" Nino nodded and let Luka in the room, closing the door behind him. "So the version she wants you to make is the hardest version out there and almost no one can make it. Which is the point, it's a test to your abilities to see what your second affinity could be or help pick a specialization. May I see the ingredient list?"
"Sure. So what year are you?" Nino shuffled the ingredients list over and went back to the Wildflowers of the Forest tome to compare.
"Third year, my apprenticeship starts soon." Luka glanced over the ingredients list and paused noticeably, scanning the ingredients on the table. "Are these the exact ingredients you used? Everything looks and smells the same?"
"Yeah, everything's here." Adrien double checked each jar and sprig, only hesitating on the belladonna blossoms. "I used pink ones instead of the purple."
"You sir, are a very lucky accidental genius." The older wizard sighed and the tension seemed to finally melt away. "Your mix up saved her life and created a sleep tonic. Marinette is half Naga and that much belladonna apparently helps her sleep because she has venom sacs that are potent enough to absorb the deadly part."
"We don't need to tell Ms. Bustier do we?" The wind wizard asked nervously.
"Probably, there are other Naga students and I know several other reptile species that could benefit from it. Also incase of a sneak attack the chance to study cures would be invaluable." Luka clapped a gentle hand on each of their shoulders before moving to pick up the still sleeping student. As Marinette yawned she exposed her fangs that were bared as a defense while in her sleeping state, her tongue flickering along Luka's jaw to bury her face in his crook of his shoulder.
"That's kind of creepy but cool…" Nino remarked, starting to clear up the research mess.
"It helps that she knows me, Nagas much like their snake counterparts can taste the air to smell."
"Oh my Gods, Adrien dude! You should totally get with Kagami!"
"What?" The blond was looking at the other like he was crazy with his outburst.
"She's a Naga, they taste air, yanno wind? The only thing that's between your ears?"
"Did you just-" Adrien turned towards Luka who politely coughed carefully to hide his laugh and not wake up the still slumbering girl. "Did he just call me an airhead?!"
"Well I'll leave you to it, let me know if you need anything. Jules knows how to find me." With that parting remark he left the squabbling younger wizards to clean up and compile a report for their grade. With a quick glance around, the wizard opened a secret passageway and took it as a shortcut to near where Marinette's rooms were.
"Mm, my mate… warm and safe, good mate…" Marinette murmured in her sleep and it took everything in Luka to not drop the sleeping girl like she just dropped that bombshell. That was something to unpack at a much later date and when the mixed Naga was awake.

How James Found Out
Can also be read on AO3 @inthemiddle2
The moment James realizes theres more to Sirius and Marlene's friendship
<So this is just kinda how I pictured the moment James sees something between Sirius and Marlene. I like to picture this as really tender moment between Sirius and Marlene, like they don't even realize its more than just sleeping together. I wanted to add more thoughts but idk how to write thoughts and dialog without one over doing the other so that'll be something I'll work on. I also might write this moment from James perspective later>
Sirius couldn’t believe this was happening. This was not supposed to be happening. He and Marlene had be so careful. For a year and a half they had been careful. But that was a issue, this had been going on for a year and half, they got comfortable, got sloppy. Well, he got sloppy. Marlene was never gonna let it go that he was the reason James found out. Oh gosh James. He didn’t need to worry about Marley because James was going to kill him before she even got the chance to tease him.
~1 hour before~
Marlene was exhausted. James had woken them up at sunrise to get in a early practice before tomorrow’s game and then double potions, if Slughorn wasn’t bad on his own, double potions with the snakes had really just taken it out of her. Thankfully this never ending day was winding down. They all went down to dinner together. Lily on her left and Sirius on her right. James and Remus across from them along with Dorc, Mary and Peter. Mary was very passionately telling the group about the snakes cornering her and Peter on their way back from the library. Marlene had lost all patience for the day. She was teetering on the edge.
Sirius could tell Marlene was ready to blow a fuse. She hadn’t even rolled her eyes at his “No, I’m Sirius” joke. To be honest he wasn’t that worried about it, she was hot when she was mad. He would take advantage of that later tonight. He was torn from his thoughts about when he heard Marlene let out a mix of sigh and growl. Glancing up he saw a group of Slytherins walking to leave the great hall. But they had taken a little detour going to pick on some first year Gryffindor’s down the table. They were going to have to pass the group of 6th years on their way out.
“Just let them pass, Marley, it’s not worth getting suspended from tomorrow’s game” James lectured. He could also see she was getting worked up but tomorrow was important. They could just walk pass and then enjoy their Friday night and deal with all of this after the game.
Just as they were going to pass Lily, Rosier sniggered to Snape “I saw the little chubby one staring at the redhead mudblood earlier, she must had something special to get them all worked up”
Peter cheeks turned a deep red and James stood up forcefully, ready to give them an earful but he wouldn’t need to, the boys had kept walking and were just passed Sirius when Marlene also jumped up.
“What did you just say?” She was lunging for Rosier but just as quick as the rest of them, Sirius was up and grabbing her around the waist creating a wall between her and Rosier.
Rosier had turned “I was just asking Sev what made the mudblood so special. She’s got all of you wrapped around her finger, maybe I ought to give her a try.” “Why you little-“ Marlene was yelling over Sirius shoulder trying to lunge for him. She had been ready for this all day and this was the last straw. But Sirius was a wall between her and Rosier, damn beater build.
“Let me go, Black” His arm still wrapped around her waist as she jumped and kicked
“Black, huh” Marlene could hear the smirk in his force but her eyes were still trained on Roiser.
“Yeah Black, learn to control your girl” Snape sneered.
“Ugh” Marlene was not property and also she wasn’t technically Blacks girl. She lunged again but Sirius tightened his grip
Lowering his voice and leaning into her ear
“Let it go, Mars” Marlene visibly relaxed, she stopped fighting against him letting her feet sink back to the floor.
“They’re not worth it” he reached his free arm up and pushed her hair back behind her ear “They’re trying to work you up”
Roiser and Snape just laughed and turned towards the doors.
Marlene let out a long breath and Sirius slowly released her. She straightened her robes. “I need some fresh air” and she walked calmly out the great hall.
James was still standing on the opposite side of the table having just watched this rather tender moment between his two best friends. He was blinking looking towards the door Marlene had just exited and then whipping his head around towards Sirius with a “What the hell was that” expression.
Sirius completely unaware to the real reason the gears where turning double speed in James’ head. He just shrugged assuming James was wondering what had led to such an outburst and then just leaving them with barely a word.
“We should go check on her” Lily stated and the group all moved out to the courtyard
Marlene was pacing when the group came out.
James voiced his previous statement “What the hell was that??”
“Oh, sorry Jamie I know I should have let it go but its just been a long day” Marlene sighed, but she knew James would understand her being upset after the way they spoke to Lily.
“I don’t care about that… what the fuck was that” He started waving his arms at Marlene
Marlene still just looked at his with confusion. While it started to set in for Sirius. He tried to slink behind James and make himself as small as possible James knew.
“James…” Sirius started and was getting ready to try and explain but he wouldn’t get the chance. At the sound of Sirius voice, James remembered he wasn’t just talking to Marley, his Marley but Sirius had broken his promise. They were obviously sleeping together. He rounded on Sirius with everything he had and punch Sirius in the jaw.
“You promised!”
Sirius staggered a little but regained his footing. Everyone gasped trying to figure out what happening between the trio. Marlene’s eyes just getting big
“James, its not-”
WHACK James had hit him again. This time he had knocked Sirius to the ground. Sirius had a million thoughts going through his head. While James had one. Sirius had broken his promise, he a defiled his sister
“MY SISTER?? I asked you for one thing and It was not to sleep with my sister”
At this point Sirius had lost his patience. James had no right to hit him when he didn’t even give him a chance to explain. He scrambled up from the floor and just launched himself on to James throwing him back into the ground.
At his the rest of the group seemed to come out of their temporary frozen shock. Remus and Marlene going to yank Sirius off while Lily and the others hold James back.
Marlene taking just a quick second to glance and wipe away the blood on Sirius’ face before whipping around to James
“What the fuck”
James had the decency to cringe at her tone but quickly puffed his chest out
“Marley…” he tried to take a lighter tone with her
“What. did you. Mean. He. Promised.”
“It’s Sirius, you know how he his. After fifth year anyone with eyes could see the way he was looking at you. I just wanted to keep you safe, I mean, I mean HE” James pointed and went to take a step for forward but Marlene stepped in front of Sirius “You had no right to do that James. You don’t get to hold your good deeds over him for a favor in return. Especially one that controls MY life.” James let his shoulders and head fall, why couldn’t Marlene see that he was doing this for her.
“James..”
James’ head snapped up at the sound of Sirius’ voice.
“Don’t.” His voice cold and attached. He sent Sirius a glare then turned towards the stairs and stalked off.
Sirius watched him leave, his face sad but not showing the heartbreak he was truly feeling.
Remus was the first to speak “You should go to the hospital wing”
Sirius sighed resignedly but nodded his head all the same and turned to walk that way. Remus went to follow him
“Wait Lupe, I’ll go with him” Marlene gave Remus small smile.
Remus could see she wanted a moment alone with Sirius. He gave a small nod
The two just stalked off, awkwardly walking side by side not saying a word. Lily wanted to stop Marlene and ask what the hell she had missed but anyone could see they needed to talk. The rest of the group watched them turned a corner and then let out a collective breath.
Sirius and Marlene turned the corner. Sirius felt like a zombie, just going through the motions to get to the hospital wing. He had so much to think about but at the same time his mind was weirdly blank.
Marlene’s hand on his forearm drew him from his zombie like state. She always had a way of pulling him out from his head. He looked up from the floor into her blue eyes.
“Sirius” She sighed. She moved her hand from his arm to his jaw, lightly touching it.
He winced and brought his hand up to grab hers.
“I’m sorry.” They said at the same time
Marlene paused. He wasn’t one to apologize. Part of her thought this was it. He was going to call it off, sorry he ever got in to this mess. Sorry but she wasn’t worth the hassle. She was afraid. She wanted to speak and push off herself from having to hear that. She was sorry that his was in pain and she opened her mouth to say so.
“No Marls, I need to go first. I’m sorry I made that promise. I shouldn’t have agreed to something that involved you without your knowledge.”
Well this wasn’t what she was expecting. At best she thought he was just saying sorry about the fight.
“At the time I thought I could keep it so it wouldn’t even matter. And then the lake happened and I thought it wouldn’t go much farther but here we are.” Sirius sighed. He was never good with expressing his feeling and he knew he cared for her but part of him would always be scared to actually say it.
“Here we are.” Marlene was still a little stunned at what he was saying. She just grabbed his hand and led him to the hospital wing. She didn’t know what all of this meant but for now they could just walk hand in hand and figure out the rest later.

The hufflepuff request part two
Warning: violence, swearing, bodily harm
Draco was now slightly concerned that he did something wrong.
You were never this jumpy around him.
"What is going on with Y/n?" He asked after you left.
"Who knows." Fred said.
"women are very confusing." George said.
"You were rejected again weren't you?" Ginny asked.
"WHAT AM I DOING WRONG HERE GINNY!?" George whined.
You watched Fred and George try to put their names in that cup, not realizing Draco was behind you until you heard a "Hi" in your ear
You jumped but smiled.
"hi." You replied with a intense blush on your face.
That's when Fred and George were promptly launched back and you laughed
"Told you two it wouldn't work." You laughed.
Draco smiled and you laughed harder as Madame Pomfrey dragged them away.
Draco was now spending a lot of time with you between classes, holding your books and walking you to each one
His attention was focused on you
Then came the amortentia potion.
You both were partners, following each step carefully.
Snape walked around asking each person what they smelled.
"And you. What do you smell miss Y/n?" Snape asked.
You sniffed it and your heart pounded.
"Uhm... i-I..." You paused and Draco rose a brow.
"I smell mint s-sir... Mint and earl grey tea." You answered making Draco almost fall out of his seat.
"Mister Malfoy, what do you smell?" Snape asked.
"...Books... And Chamomile... With rain." He answered looking at you.
"Very good. Both of you are dismissed." Snape said.
You immediately booked it and Draco went after you.
"Y/n!" He called.
You sped up your pace.
"Y/n slow down!" He said.
You didn't.
He finally caught up though and grabbed your wrist.
"Draco--" "I like you Y/n. A lot. And I know this is REALLY in advance but I would love to take you to the Yule ball, if you'll let me." He said.
"And... If... If you want I'd also really like to be your boyfriend--" you cut him off with a kiss and he literally dropped everything just to pull you closer.
You melted in his arms.
So obviously you dated.
Cedric was happy for you
So was the group because now you weren't a walking disaster.
You were there when the names popped out of the cup.
All of you were sitting at the Gryffindor's table and you watched
He didn't really start paying attention until Harry's name popped out.
"Wait... What!?" You asked looking at Harry.
"did you find a way to sneak your name in!?" Draco asked him.
"What-- No! I have no idea what's going on!" Harry said.
Ron got upset because he thought Harry was lying
But you could tell by the look on Harry's face that Harry genuinely had NO idea what was going on.
You had this gut feeling that something was wrong though.
You helped Harry train though, after researching how brutal this competition could be.
You were all very anxious watching Harry with the Dragon
And it certainly worried the fuck out of Draco when you had to participate in Cedric's lake trial
He didn't even realize that you were a part of it until Cedric came back up with you.
Then you realized Gabrielle was still down there.
All you said was "Well.... Fuck it." Before jumping back in.
You came back up with Gabrielle right before Harry came up with Ron.
Fleur was so fucking grateful.
Then came the dance practice
"Draco, I know I agreed to go but seriously I can't dance." You whined.
"I am going to teach you, come on." He laughed.
He pulled you close you sighed. "Okay but when I step on you don't say I did not warn your ass."
You stepped on his feet a lot. But he was patient. And he just wanted you close to him to be honest.
You two were smiling the whole time.
Then the Yule ball actually happened.
You walked out and Draco almost fell over.
"Hi." You said.
"Y/n... You're beautiful." He said with a smile.
"T-Thanks." You said with a blush.
You and him were literally smiling the entire night
He kept whispering compliments in your ear when you danced and just held you so close.
You had no idea how bad this was about to become.
The final trial was approaching and something in your gut was telling you that something was wrong.
"Harry something is wrong, I can feel it." You told him right before he was gearing up to go into this maze.
"I'll be careful--" "Harry. Don't go." You begged.
He almost didn't. But he was stubborn and did.
You were anxious the whole time and Draco kept trying to tell you that it was going to be fine
Then Harry returned.
And you saw it.
"No.... Please no."
Draco didn't understand at first and then he saw Cedric.
His immediate reaction was just to hug you and face you away from it because he knew that Cedric was your friend.
"Harry... We-- we need to check on Harry." You mumbled into his chest.
Draco asked Fred and George to make sure you were okay before he ran down there.
Harry was sobbing and Draco hugged his friend while trying to stay strong.
"H-He didn't-- he didn't want me to--to leave him." Harry sobbed.
"He's-- He's back Draco.." Harry said.
"Who?" Albus asked.
"Voldemort."
Immediately after hearing that you sent a letter to your parents telling you to get the fuck out of Dodge.
They didn't understand why you were so adamant about it, but damn it they did.
Draco ended up moving out of his parents' home.
It was very abrupt but it still happened.
Molly immediately was like "Here. Your home is now here."
And he accepted.
The summer was dedicated towards planning your next few moves.
You all were exhausted and one night Draco couldn't sleep.
You woke up, going downstairs to find Molly talking to Draco.
"Hello dear, join us won't you?" Molly said.
You sat with Draco and held his hand and he gave you a small smile.
"Is something wrong?" You asked.
"Tell her dear." She said to Draco.
"Father has disowned me..." He said.
"What!?" You asked.
"He took his side-- the wrong side. And when I outright refused he disowned me." Draco said.
"Draco... Sweetheart I'm so sorry." You said.
"I'm fine... I have everything I need right here." He said to you.
"That and you've got a family." Ginny said making you all turn.
"I came down here for water. It feels like hell upstairs." Ginny said.
She walked over and hugged Draco.
"We may not have been friends Draco. But your my brother. And if that asshole comes near you again I'm going to kill him." Ginny said.
"Ginny!" Molly gasped.
"What? I'm being honest." She shrugged making you snort.
The school year ended up being shit thanks to a bitch named Umbridge.
She REALLY didn't like you.
You didn't understand why but she literally went out of her way to make your life a living hell.
So when you found Fred and George with a bunch of fireworks....
You gave them the matches.
And they unleashed hell.
You were smiling the whole time.
So was Draco
But when Umbridge was pissed she took it out on you
And the trio (and Draco) was not having this.
They finally had enough and finally she was gone
Dragged off by centaurs
Hallefuckinglujah
You ended up working close with the order
Tonks was so fucking happy to have her little sister back
And Remus was happy to see her happy
No surprise you straight up told him "Look, you like tonks, tonks likes you go for it dude."
You FINALLY apologized for punching Sirius
He said it was hilarious actually and even said "I think James turned in his grave laughing."
Draco spent all of his time with you
And as you were planning he realized he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you.
Then something happened that involved you having to literally go on a rescue mission to the ministry
It was intense.
You saved Arthur from Nagini
You thought you saw Lucius but you weren't sure until you were face to face with him.
He kept blaming you.
Over and over during this battle he kept saying that you were the reason why Draco was gone
And when he actually hit you Draco was PISSED
Draco basically LAUNCHED his father away from you and you coughed.
"Holy shit." You gaped.
"Are you okay!?" Draco asked.
"He flew like fifty fucking feet!" You gaped.
"Are you okay? Did he hurt you!?"
"How did you even--"
"Y/n! Are you okay!?" Draco asked.
"I'm fine--" "AVADA KADAVRA!"
You turned to see Sirius stumble back.
You and Draco sprinted to Harry, holding him back as he screamed.
When you all returned to base Harry couldn't form words
Draco stayed close to Harry though, making sure that if anything seemed too much he'd be able to calm Harry down
Honestly it warmed your heart to see Draco care about Harry like a brother.
Things got intense though when Dumbledore died.
Like you all felt like you were walking on some VERY thin ice and it was bound to crack at any moment.
Then you helped the team with bellatrix's vault.
And it fucking sucked.
You all ended up in the equivalent to a dungeon.
"Darling." You said.
"hmm?" Draco asked.
"Why the fuck do your parents have a prison in their home?" You asked.
"I have no idea." He said.
"....Oh god this isn't a kink is it?" You realized making anyone who was sitting bolt up.
Lucius of course dragged your ass out.
Because he was angry.
And he let Bellatrix have free reign over whatever she wanted to do
She held you down and carved into you
You were screaming bloody murder and Draco was having a mental breakdown having to hear you.
When they finally busted out, Draco got you out of there immediately.
You didn't speak for a while.
You couldn't-- what the fuck do you say after that?
Dobby died, making this even harder.
Way harder.
You sat on a rock by the lake, staring into the water.
Draco sat next to you and you sank into his arms.
"Don't leave me." Was the first words you said after the incident.
He never left your side.
When the battle of hogwarts started you did everything to make sure Draco was safe.
He did the same for you.
Draco saved Fred and you noticed Tonks running.
"Guys, something's wrong with Tonks!" You said.
You all booked it and winded up saving Remus and Tonks life from a hoard of death eaters
Draco kept you close at all times and didn't dare to let you out of his sight.
You killed Bellatrix yourself.
"DON'T YOU EVER FUCKING TOUCH MY MUM OR MY SISTER AGAIN YOU BITCH!" you screamed before she just... Died.
Draco was ready to fight but damn, you had that battle wrapped up quick
The battle just stopped at one point.
It seemed like you lost.
Harry was dead.
Draco and you both were wrecked
This was utterly fucking terrifying.
Was this it? Like actually? You lost just like that?!
Then you noticed movement.
And Harry rolled out of Hagrid's arms
Draco grabbed you and ran because he knew that you all were in the dead center and that was asking for something bad to happen.
Then... You won
Harry actually did it.
It was over.
You cried to be honest.
Like finally! This whole fucking thing was over.
You literally collapsed onto the nearest bed and slept for hours.
When you woke up, of course there was a celebration
Draco took that time to propose to you too.
Tonks was so happy for you she was almost crying
You FINALLY met Teddy
You and Harry were the Godparents btw.
A few years later you became a professor at hogwarts
Draco became a healer (In my head, he always ends up a healer, change my mind)
Your poor kid had to deal with famous parents
Because everyone is always talking about the "badass professor" and the "hot healer"
Which makes your daughter sink down in her chair and want to scream.
You went over to the Weasleys every holiday
During the summer you helped out with Fred and George's shop
Tonks and you have dinner every weekend
The team always gets together for a big dinner during the start of school and the end of it.
You loved these people
Even the crazy girl with the pink hair.

“Hermione i’m going out,” I whispered to the sleeping girl, knowing she heard me as her head nodded a bit as her whole body was almost covered all the way under her blankets.
I walked down the stairs quietly, peaking my head around the wall of the common room, empty as usual. “Good morning,” I whispered to myself looking at my clothes that shrunk and were covering me.
White glowing fur covering my eyes, I shook my head, picking up my clothes with my mouth and trailed myself down the rest of the stairs and walking out of the common room door, placing my clothes down outside the door in the dark shade. Hogwarts was quiet around this time, no one was awake but flitch who was nearly sleeping, Miss Norris was who I had to worry about.
As my adventure came to a end, patting along the school floors and looking at the painting and people who looked down at me, I ended up in a complete circle in the hallway just above the common room.
My eye caught something in the air, with fox reflexes I whipping my vision around, watching a wolf and Hyena walk in the halls across from me, not spotting my white fur.
I decided not to snoop, not wanting to get caught I made my way back to the common room slowly, transforming back into myself , where Fred and George were sitting on the couch.
“Out passed curfew aren’t you Samantha,” Fred said crossing his arms. “We should turn you in like the good people we are,”
“Shove off you two,” I laughed brushing my clothes off and fixing my tie. “You won’t dare tell on me, and funny ha ha you two good people,” I rolled my eyes patting the duo on the shoulders then walking passed them.
“Have fun on your adventure tonight?” Hermione asked as I opened our room door, she was sitting up in her bed studying for our herbology test in the morning.
“Pretty good actually, broke about fifty rules, but I saw something odd,” I started to say jumping onto my bed and leaning against the bored. “There are other animagus’ in the school,”
Hermione's focus ran from her books to the topic of other images of other animagus. “What did they look like?” She asked jumping up from her bed and onto mine with a smile on her face.
“Well one was a Hyena and the other a wolf, they’re still out there, roaming around the common room door,” I paused taking a breath, Hermione's smile widened. “I wanted to go looking but I didn’t wanna risk exposing myself,”
“That is awesome,” Hermione cheerfully said, I could already tell the gears in her head were turning faster then she could take it. “We should try to see who they are,”
I hesitated for a moment, admiring Hermione's daringness and want for adventure. “I guess we just will have to do that, what do you have in mind?” I asked.
For the rest of the night Hermione and I devised a plan, tomorrow night I was going to go on my usual strole, but come back towards the common room earlier, looking for the two, then we stopped from there, getting to tired after realizing it was almost three in the morning.
“Good night Sammy,” Hermione whisked crawling off my bed and rubbing her eyes. “How could I never know there were other Animagus’,”
“Everyone has their secrets Hermione, goodnight,” I chuckled crawling under my blankets and shutting my eyes, replying the image of the Hyena and wolf walking along the halls.
~
My eyes feel awake and my body moving as I woke up, the curtains brought the sunlight directly hitting the middle of my room.
“Good morning,” I croaked sitting up from my bed, the room was empty, Hermione was gone and I was all alone. “Okay then,” I said to myself getting off my bed and gathering clothes and walked into the bathroom, quickly changing and walking down the stairs.
“Hello,” Fred Weasley smiling giving me a wink.
“How was your sleep?” George asked.
“Why do you care?” I asked stopping and tapping my feet on the ground.
“What are you in such a rush for Samantha?” They both asked standing up, they both almost towards over me.
“None of your business Weasley, now if you could move out of my way i’d like to leave the common room,” I shook my head, realizing that they were blocking my way out of the common room.
“We know your secret,” George whispered moving out of my way, I looked back at the twins confused but walked out of the room, making my way down the stairs, taking my time, thinking.
“Hermione,” I hissed walking into the great hall and sitting beside her, Ron and Harry both gave me confused looking but went back to their conversation. “Why did you leave without me this morning?” I asked crossing my arms.
Hermione let out a bit of a laugh. “You looked peaceful and I don’t wanna wake up, but you were also a fox, and I didn’t want you to bite me,”
“I was a what?” I asked looking down at the white fur that laid on my uniform. “I guess thats be happening recently,”
“Yeah well your lucky we got a room to ourselves this year or you’d be in trouble,” Hermione said shaking her head.
“Don’t act like you're the one who didn’t dare me,” I chuckled picking up a sandwich and started to eat it.
“I have a plan for tonight, I thought about it all morning,” Hermione said turning her whole body to me. “You follow them okay, then sneak into the common room and hide in the corner, and watch them come in, they’ll never see you and you’ll see them,”
“You changed the plan?” I asked amused. “but okay, that sounds better than the first one, who do you think it is?”
“I’m not sure, there are tons of Gryffindors, I don’t think the twins would do it, Neville neither, maybe Seamus and Dean but a hyena and wolf doesn’t match their personality,”
“Okay well what if they’re not a Gryffindor?” I asked tilting my head and looking around the room.
“Well you said they were lurking around the Gryffindor area, no way a Hyena and Wolf would get up to the seventh floor?” Hermione said looking at me like I was dumb.
“Okay okay you make a point,” I said rolling my eyes. “Okay well who are you suspections?” I asked again.
Hermione turned her head just a little bit, looking at Harry and Ron who were in their own state of mind.
“Them?” I asked looking at Harry and Ron who weren’t even interesting in our conversation. “Why?”
“Look at them, why wouldn’t they,” Hermione said making me laugh. “Two dimwits learn about Animagus’ in class from Snape a couple months ago, didn’t you look at their faces when we had to write about them,”
“Okay,” I paused thinking. “So we catch them tonight, and we expose them without exposing myself, right?” I asked.
“Of course, it’s only a secret for you and I, but yes, tonight we catch them sneaking out and in,” Hermione said putting her hand out, we shook hands and continued eating breakfast.
The day went on, with the usual McGonagall teaching us how to transform chairs into pigs, Snape teaching us potions without a care in the world and Draco being his usual cocking self.
“So when are we doing this?” I asked Hermione as the both of us raced up the stairs and into the common room quickly.
“Tonight, ten minutes before you usually go out, we will go downstairs, you hide under the couch, and when you see who it is, come and tell me, and we can catch Harry and Ron in the act,”
“Sounds the a plan Mione, but what if it’s not them, what do I do?” I asked falling down on the couch.
“Who else would it be, we eliminated everyone, they’re the only whos would be dumb enough to do it,” hermione said sitting beside me.
“And that's when he said that he knew my mother,” Harry said catching our attention as him and Ron walked into the common room.
“Hey,” I waved at the two boys who sat down on each side of Hermione and I. “What did you guys do last night?” I asked unsuspiciously.
“What are you up to Sammy?” Harry asked looking at me. “Is it something with Sirius Black, has he been spotted?”
“No no, she’s just being nosy, we have things to do, right Sam,” Hermione hummed standing up and grabbing my hand, dragging me up the stairs.

How about my Prodigal Prat Percy and My shy neurodivergent Hugo who is his favourite Nephew - if you like. (No obligation what so ever.)
It was take your kids to work day at the Ministry. Percy knew his own job was rather boring for his twin daughters. Lucy looked on with polite interest, while Molly didn't bother looking interested until she found out more about the Floo network and how there were maintenance workers who would go into it. "It's the most dangerous job at the Ministry beside those at the MLE office." Molly's eyes lit up. "What happens in there that's so dangerous?" "Well you have to go in there with specially charmed gear so you can breath and travel through it without getting your lungs messed up from prolonged exposure to all that soot and flame. Also the workers are fighting a tornado of flames and Floo magic when doing the charms in there-- so it's rather hazardous. Easy for someone to lose their footing and get tossed around for hours on end if you don't take all the proper precautions." "Oh! Ohh! I want to do that!" Percy let out a sigh. Of course she did. She said that about every dangerous job she'd ever heard of. Dragon taming, Auror, experimental potioneer, curse breaker... The list went on and on. "I'm sure you'd be very good at it. What about you, Lucy?" "I'd rather keep my feet on this side of the Floo," she quickly answered. “What kind of spells keep a person in place through that, though?” His twins weren't identical in looks or personality, unlike his twin brothers. He wondered if they'd be sorted into the same Hogwarts house or not. Molly was as Gryffindor a child as he'd ever known, but Lucy was harder for him to pin down. He looked at his pocket watch. Nearly half past three. "Time to meet your mother."
"Ohh Daddy can't we stay longer? I want to go do maintenance in the Floo!" "Only trained professionals get to do that, Molly," he said, leading them down the hall to Floo them to their mother. "I wanted to see the mail sorting room again," Lucy added, looking with longing down the hall. "There'll be plenty of other times you can see that," he said, but his chest puffed up a bit. Perhaps he'd managed to make their time at the office less than boring, after all. "As I recall, you both wanted to visit the Magical Child Welfare Office today." "The Adoption Carnival!" Lucy smiled, hands grasping together beneath her chin. She excitedly twirled her skirt back and forth like a bell. "I'd forgotten!" Molly gave a whoop, punching the air. "I LOVE the carnivals!" "Once you're done with your volunteering, you get to have fun with the other kids, but not until then." Both his daughters rolled their eyes. "We know, papa!" "You tell us that every time!" "I don't want you to forget the reason for the carnival," he forewarned, wagging a finger their way. "It's so the kids can find families, we know!" Molly moaned. "We're not dumb." "It's not a question of your intelligence. It's a matter of slowing down to recognize how lucky we are to have families, and to prioritize those children's needs." "Will there be a petting zoo?" He gave a sigh. Maybe they were a little young for him to be giving this speech. "I believe your mother might have mentioned baby nifflers." He could barely contain his smile as the girls squealed and laughed. When they arrived at the MCW Office it was controlled chaos, as it ever was.
Kids were running about in much nicer clothes than usual, though many weren't quite finished dressing yet. The twins were happy to join the ruckus, both yelling 'Uncle Ron, Uncle Ron!' and running across the den to join their Uncle in braiding some little girl's hair. Various Weasleys were part of the fray. He spotted George out in the garden setting up carnival games, Ginny polishing brooms, his Mum magically changing spots of grass to bright colors for a cake walk, and various other brothers and spouses were walking between booths, arms laden with supplies. Percy looked about for his wife. He soon found Audrey chasing down a four year old who was wearing socks on both his hands and running away with no trousers. Percy quickly headed the boy off, picked him up and presented him to Audrey. "Thank goodness for you," Audrey panted, blowing a curl out of her face. "This conejito doesn't like putting on trousers, even though he knows guests are coming." "Is that so?" Percy asked the boy with his sternest of faces, as his wife pulled the polka dotted socks from the small boy's hands. "It is quite important you wear proper attire when meeting new people." "Trousers are hot!" the boy exclaimed, head dramatically thrown back. "Hmm... A very good point," he nodded, looking to Audrey. "Perhaps we can turn these into shorts instead?" "You do it? I'm too tired to remember how to tailor things," she quietly griped, pressing her head against his arm. He tried his best not to smile when she was put out like this, but always found her pouting looks rather adorable. "Long day?" "Long month!" He quickly spelled the trousers into shorts and they finally got the wriggling boy. They went about the room tying shoes, tucking shirts. It took a whole lot of child wrangling from Audrey, her staff, and all the Weasleys-- but they finally were ready for the prospective foster families (and perhaps even future adopters) to arrive, and for the children to go about the carnival having an intense amount of fun. Later on Harry arrived with his own children, which caused a lot of turning heads, not only because it was ‘THE Potter,’ but because James had let out a cry of glee and immediately knocked over a table full of food. Percy’s twins joined with their cousins, and Percy was happy to let Harry look after them for a bit. With so many staff on hand this year Audrey didn't have to be as hands on for the paperwork side of things for once, giving them a chance to slip away. They went back into the center to their favorite spot, a little sunroom with an old comfortable couch.
"This looks to be your best carnival yet. Wonderful turnout."
"I'll feel better next week when I know if it paid off," she said with a sigh, putting her head on his shoulder. "But yes, it definitely looks like fun. Nothing but toothy grins everywhere I looked."
Percy nodded and leaned his head on top of hers. Their peace was broken by the sound of fireworks going off, making them both jump. "Those weren't supposed to go off for an hour! I was going to have ear plugs for the children and everything!" "Can we have a strict family foster George for a bit?" asked Percy, shaking his head. "Sadly he's past the age limit for fostering by fifteen years." She closed her eyes and rubbed her brows. Another great bang came, but this one sounded more like a slammed door followed by the pattering of tiny feet. Audrey made a move to get up but Percy waved her down. "I'll get this one." It didn't take much looking to find a head of bright ginger curls poking out from under a craft laden table. "Hugo?" Percy asked. His knees creaked as he squatted down, something they'd been more and more prone to doing lately. His tiny nephew had his back to the wall and hands over his ears as he rocked a bit. His eyes were tightly scrunched closed. Percy did a quick Muffliato, and closed the curtains with a flick of his wand.
Despite saying he'd take care of it, Audrey had some in to fix the problem. He silently mimed 'tell them I have Hugo,' which she immediately understood.
Knowing there was little point in talking to Hugo at this time, he gathered a few books and a cup of water. He gently placed them in front of his nephew as he waited for the boy to open his eyes. They had an old copy of 'Beedle the Bard' he'd given the house a decade ago he silently read. A good five minutes passed before his nephew started to move. "Water?" Hugo nodded before drinking the cup and giving a small 'ahhh' as he finished it. "I have a few books we can read from in the sunroom, if you like. Which do you prefer," he said, laying the three books out. "Beedle the Bard, Stellaluna, or Arrow to the Sun?" Hugo pointed to Stellaluna, grasping Percy's finger as they went to the sunroom to read. He read Stellaluna three times, at Hugo's silent request. The boy's bright brown eyes lit up every time the bat and her little bird friends hugged at the end.
"Do you want to go back to the carnival?" Hugo shrugged and buried his mop of curls into Percy's side. "Was it just the fireworks that were too loud, or were the people too loud too?" he asked, weighing his hands back and forth. Hugo put both hands in Percy's. "I understand. It was rather chaotic out there. Lots of noise." Hugo nodded. "If I put some headphones on to make it quiet, would you like to go outside? The petting zoo, cake walk and broom riding booth looked like fun." Hugo worried his lower lip, looking much like his father had at the same age.
Ron hadn't been on the spectrum, exactly, but he'd always been a more sensitive child like Hugo. That was most likely why he was so partial to the lad. He'd always preferred Ron to the rest of his siblings, though he tried to cover up his partiality the best he could. Whenever he had a choice, he'd make sure Ron got his castoffs first because it meant more to him and he showed such care and kindness to all his items and pets.
His nephew had just turned four and still barely talked, but he had that same deep care within him about things. He held books with reverence, smiled with the same whole-bodied smile, and had a natural curiosity all his own. He hoped to hear Hugo talk more, eventually, because he imagined the boy had quite a lot to say. "So, headphones?" "Are... Are they Muggle?" Hugo whispered. Percy had to fight back the mad grin trying to make its way across his face. He hadn't heard Hugo in months, despite being around the boy many times. "They're very close to the ones you normally use, so sort of," Percy answered, bringing Hugo with him to raid the supply closet. "Your Dad and Uncle George invented them based on Muggle technology, but they don't use electricity. They use magic to help cancel out certain sounds, but still let you hear the important things." He held up a pair and Hugo looked glum. "Ready for me to put them on you?" Hugo shook his head, brows furrowing a bit. "What's wrong?" Hugo looked away and bit his lip. His nephew didn't much like things that were different from what he was used to. What did his headphones look like? They weren't the mass-produced ones. No, they were the prototypes, so they'd used actual Muggle tech and just spells on top of it. Percy racked his mind trying to remember the details of them. "Sorry they don't look like your normal ones from home. Did you need me to spell them another color?" Hugo stopped responding, looking to the ground. "They do the same job though... I can magic them to look more like the ones from home. Make them have have the same padding on the inside, change the color... Make them plastic-looking." Hugo suddenly nodded, running up to Percy and pulling at his sleeve. Ah, he'd forgotten about Hugo's interest in plastic. It took a few spells before Hugo finally put on the headphones and smiled. "Ready to go back out?" His nephew nodded, giving a thumbs up and a broad grin. "Excellent. I have it on good authority that there will be baby nifflers at the petting zoo."
