A small group of outcast vampire hunters work towards funding an antivenom for the four fangs (strongest vampires)

Marison Hackett (he/him, 25). Silve (the name of the hunter association) rank: medic, had hunter training but quit before graduation. Main character

Krestel Fletcher (he/him, 21). Silve rank: hunter. Second main character.

Tang Li (she/he, 27). Silve rank: mechanic. Marison's bestie

Raymond Colton (He/Him, 65) Silve rank: instructor/leading hunter. Marison's teacher and main reason he quit.

Alice wonder/ The huntress (she/her, 27). Vampire. Fourth fang. Venom causes hallucinations.

Going to desperately attempt to not die of embarrassment before posting this.

The development journey for all my Sonic OCs. More below the cut.

Yeah as a. uh. under 10yo baby. I was not the most creative. Aaron was literally just blue tails until I wised up as a teen. I liked Tails, he was my favorite (still one of my favs) and so I wanted to Have Him. Please forgive my baby crimes.

Anyone who read the tags on the other post and was confused by Athena and Alyssa merging into one character- this is why. They both had. rainbows. I had a lot of characters with rainbows.

In fact, I also had a MLP character who ALSO had rainbows all over her. This character got reposted to one of those edgy "cringe MLP characters" blogs where the people who ran the blog criticized my using the default rainbow gradient. Tween me then went on to bury all of my rainbow characters, including Alyssa.

I also seemed to have misremembered where Ariel (not pictured) was placed in all of this, I think Ariel was actually a precursor to Alyssa, not Athena and Alyssa merging into one character. All the drawings of Ariel that I have stop after 2010 and I don't have any drawings of Alyssa prior to 2011. When that whole thing with the blog happened, I buried both Alyssa and Athena until reviving Athena in 2015 with just red roses this time and Alyssa later in 2019. In her full rainbow glory.

I decided to revive Alyssa because someone I was friends with waaaay back in the day on Deviantart, who loved her design and drew me a bunch of gift art, asked about what happened to her. I was so honored and frankly surprised that someone remembered her and loved her design that much. We fell out of touch again after that, but I am still really grateful to them for that.

Screw the guy who told me rainbows are cringe, you are cringe and I hope you stub your toe.

Anyways I revamped almost all of my characters in 2015, Including Aaron and Athena, though Aaron had turned into something that resembled his current color scheme in 2013. But I always liked the blue, so I wanted to keep some of it. Hence the definitely not an ATLA ripoff tattoo.

Aaron also used to be a fennec fox! Since 2013 he was, hence the ears. But IDW made that confusing and he's always been super tall, which didn't make sense for an absolutely tiny creature. So it wasn't until this year that he became a dingo!

Athena's had her unbloomed outfit for the longest, 2021 is at least the earliest instance I could find of her bloomed outfit but I'm pretty sure I had the idea swimming around in my head for a while prior. I'd have to check my physical sketchbooks to be sure (thankfully I started dating most of my sketches in 2015)

Then earlier this year I. Finally. Decided to give them all proper references. I love my guys, they have been with me a very long time and they are all special to me. I am really hoping to do more with them all soon.

hello! maybe i am misremembering, but i do remember you reblogged some guides on how to write characters, such as stereotypes to avoid when writing characters of color. do you have a tag or a list of guides for how to write disabled characters and stereotypes to avoid? i am only hard of hearing and even that is a weird experience that often isnt similar to other peoples expereinces, but i would love to write more disabled characters and want to make sure i am listening to disabled people and are respectful about the character im creating! thank you so much for all the amazing guides and info you are putting out! your masterlists have helped me find some amazing faces and are super useful ♥

Hey anon! When I research characters, for this instance characters with disabilities, I google the disability and then "stereotypes" or "what not to do" or look on Youtube because there's so many people on Youtube educating others about their disabilities.

Spirit World #2 continues with Batgirl's adventure in said place. Where we get some twists and turns that open up questions from over 20 years ago! So here are my thoughts all about Cass (with a bit on Xanthe too)...

So this continues with the last one with Mr. Hong literally breaking into Po Po's place. Well, it ain't someone Cass knows but at the very least, writer Alyssa Wong again showcases their mastery of the character knowing the aggression of Hong behind the door last issue.

Likewise, I love the overall body horror design of "mutilated" Mr. Hong.  Artist Haining ups the ante of the two sisterly stretchy neck demons' last issue with well an amazing design with this one easily.

Though an outsider, I do like that Wong clearly doesn't have Cass in the backseat when Hong breaks in and showcases why she's one of the deadliest fighters in the DCU.

But not only that but I do love the little winged-like appearance Po Po has with her scarf.

The whole sequence is a nice establishment of three dynamics at play here. On why Bowen is with Po Po (Cassandra he is not), and how he pleas that even this tainted life is still a life (echoing to Cass's remorse last issue of slaying a spirit in the prelude issue).

That's another element I enjoyed as Wong expands on what can come into the Spirit World and what tethers a being here back to the real world.

By doing so we get a much more look into Xanthe's own past with full confirmation they passed away and that their link to the real world was their sister Stephie (who ironically wears purple and a hood).

I really got to admit Wong is just some real powerlifting this issue by doing this with Xanthe, playing into an interesting way of dead naming, plus just the weaving into family issues too.

For other authors, it might take many issues to do all this, but Wong knows they got in two already exceptional issues and teasing for more. And damn I want more even when this is basically the third issue.

That brings us to the big twist pertaining to Cass this issue. As to find out who wants to gobble her up Po Po, Bowen, and Cass meet another interesting mystical figure in To Shen who um.. is making me question things stupid sexy probably evil fox spirit.

*ahem* Anyway, again the design is just crazy good and I'm curious to learn more about them and the connection they have to Cass as well.. we get the first ramification from Batgirl Vol. 1.

Now already some are thinking Wong is doing some retconning and explaining Ghost Steph (and if so oh boy are we in for a wild ride).

The thing that makes me wonder if Wong will go for the hat trick as Cass has technically been on death's door three times.  Lady Shiva (#25), the Brotherhood of Evil (#61), and Mad Dog (#72).

On two of those times, she was visited by a ghostly Stephanie.  And given To  Shen is a rocking blonde and given solicitation (which spoiled this). You just have to wonder.

Again, this is Wong showing how long they've been a fan of the character adding to what's already come in the past with Cass, by giving this mystical adventure to her she's not really had as a character.

It's a different avenue, but it's also one Wong looks to use steeped in Cass's past.  A past not many acknowledge since the end of Vol. 1. Literally, the only two who've acknowledged the series have been four times (Simone twice, Tynion, and recently Conrad/Cloonan).

It makes me scream why Tamaki wasn't allowed this much leeway with her Batman stuff. But I digress, offhandedly (by showing Huntress in NML and Jim Gordon referencing it) she's the one who put Cass's NML back to the forefront.

That leaves me more amped for #3. This series is just everything I wanted with the character. It's giving us new interactions (Xanthe, John, Po Po, and Bowen), a mystical adventure, and using past Cass stories to build toward SOMETHING. I am REALLY digging the kinetic energy Haining continues to bring with Cass stuff. It's soooooo good. More so seeing Cass's new design in action as well. Spirit World #2 is another exceptional issue. Something that fans who are reading should tell other fans. "Hey, you wanna read some good stuff? This is good stuff right here!"

I pretty much saw like 85% of this roster coming

tbh seeing alyssa thompson and savannah demelo was WILD for me, but that's because I haven't really been able to keep up with the nwsl as much as I would like so they kinda threw me for a loop

ok but let me talk about how happy I was to see GIRMA, ERTZ, SONNETT, KELLEY, K MEW, AND EMILY FOX

listen I was so stressed that I wasn't gonna get the chest bump bros at the world cup YOU DONT UNDERSTAND

and I am so damn proud of naomi girma, like she has had such an impact on this team and I'm so glad that we have her now that captain becky isn't there (still not over it)

HOWEVER, I do have some.... let's call them.... idk's -> alana cook has just not left me with the best impression, I think she's slow on defense and isn't very aggressive with the ball, she has very rare good moments. sof huerta has just had a very meh performance for the uswnt IN MY OPINION I don't think she's very consistent. alyssa thompson I think is just too young, not to say that she couldn't completely kill it, but I just don't know if she can perform on the world's biggest stage, cause that's totally different than an nwsl game. sanchez and rodman for me have just not shown their true potential on the uswnt, like I'm still waiting for them to really show up, maybe with the cup on the line they will.

all in all, I think this is a very solid roster. obviously, we are missing some key players due to injury (press, heath, becky, sammy, mal just to name a few) and I would love nothing more than for them to be there, BUT I think these are the best 23 players we have right now. we are gonna have a kick ass starting 11 XI and some killer subs.

Am I working? Technically yes. Did I watch this entire game with laser focus. Also yes.

USWNT v England

Okay. Let’s start off with the positives.

All the hype with England murdering us? Didn’t happen. Did we have a large personnel change and a stretch of less competitive games while England solidified themselves and won a fuckin Euro? Yeah. And I don’t think they were exponentially better than us. It was a good fight.

Rodman, Coffey, and Girma showed they can absolutely hold their own. ESPECIALLY NAOMI. We all have eyeballs. We saw her come in clutch time and time again. The way she handled the ball, the decisions she made, her ability to beat Hemp. So so good.

And credit to Mace for keeping composure post PK call. I am weak and that would have broken me

Sophia scored. And had an amazing game.

I think Andi had her best national team showing I’ve seen. She was winning balls and pushing things forward in a way that made me so happy.

AND. Big high point. We had something I genuinely don’t think I’ve seen since the great Christen Press goal that never was… the combination passes are back. That shit speaks to chemistry and connection and the amount of plays we had like that…. Like, FINALLY. Pinoe, Lindsey, Rose, Sofia, Sophia, Trin. All were part of those moments.

AND AND. CRYSTAL DUNN. BACK. ❤️

On the constructive criticism side (because, you know, we can do that while still thinking all players deserve to be there and are phenomenal footballers.)

Honestly, I might compliment sandwich these because, POSITIVITY ALWAYS

Lindsey and Rose. Becoming such leaders as they suddenly the olds. They were both holding onto the ball too long. With 2-3 blatant plays where they needed to rip it or pass to our numerous open players and they… didn’t do it. And idk why Linds is gonna bother weight lifting if she’s gonna let herself get knocked over so easily. (There are times to draw the foul of COURSE, but not 95% of the time.) HOWEVER. The defensive work rate in the midfield was lovely and a lot of the pokes and needed clearances were done by them. And Lindsey’s pick pocket to the Soph goal, hellll yeah.

Set pieces. Should have been better. By a lot. Dare I say I miss Jill era set pieces. (Not Jill, just the set pieces)

This was not Alana’s game. England had her number for sure. Again, not gonna nitpick. It was pretty clear. Onto the next. It’s OKAY.

Sending good vibes out to Emily Fox’s HEAD. Didn’t she just have a concussion?? Hate that x 1000.

Oh. And Vlatko’s subbing stays fucking confusing but cool for Alyssa Thompson to get her first cap!!

He loved taking you through the nether

You’d both love swimming through the lava

One time he forgot a fire resistance potion

And threw you in before realizing

That’s also when he realized you were a Strider hybrid like him

George and dream adored you

Dream would never admit it but he played dress up with you

He also played with the kitchen set that bad built

George would make sure to nap with you

He always managed to put you to sleep peacefully

Or George would let you “help” him take care of the animals and harvest

Bad and skeppy adored having another child

“Sapnap can we steal them?” “No”

Skeppy tried kidnapping you

His Diamond exterior wasn’t so unbreakable

You’d be hella spoiled by your dad

But you also knew when to act cool

So when tommy and Tubbo joined you went to go make friends with them

Then pouting once you found out dream took the discs

But that’s when sapnap called it quits for the both of you

Now the rest of the future was up to tommy and Tubbo

You were just raised like that

Besides Mars, beckerson, sketchers, and spirit

You couldn’t give two shits

Thus you were brought into one of your fathers many wars

And managed to slaughter nikkis fox and a couple of tubbos bees.

You almost cried once sketchers were killed

So obviously you got payback

You winced seeing Henry die

You whined once your house was once again greifed

“We have to stop getting into wars”

He thought it was cute but you thought otherwise

You really hated Wilbur Soot

Everything was going great-ish before he came!

You had to start being more cautious of your surroundings

“N/n! Come hang out with us?”

You haven’t seen tommy and Tubbo in a little while so obviously you went with them

“Those uniforms look stupid” “you’re stupid”

They took you to this strange place

With a van and a flaming hotdog??

“Holt shit I’m being kiddnapped”

Then you saw the man Wilbur

You seriously lunged out at him ready to stab the shit out of that man

No wonder your nickname was hot shot

The tall man just grabbed you and held you in place

“I hope it’s okay to ask you to remove your armor”

You just looked at up at him

“Excuse you?”

That’s when Tommy also tried to recruit you for Lmanburg

“Oh this is the dumpster hole.. I honestly thought it was look a little better”

“Oi dickhead! Fuck off will ya, you little shit”

British people scared you

So Tubbo threw a jacket at you for you to put on

“Great! Now your apart of Lmanburg, or die.”

You took the jacket cause it was cold

“DIE DICKHEAD”

So you took your lighter and set wilburs shoe on fire

Then ran

Lets say dream wasn’t so pleased to see you with the Lmanburg jacket on

“Sapnap tell your kid to burn that crap”

Your were fairly disappointed since it was a nice jacket

Hiding it in your closet instead

There it happened

You had just lost your only two friends

And it was all Wilbur Soots fault

Safe to say you were stuck training ever day

Sapnap wouldn’t have you getting hurt

He would rather loose all of his lives then to see you get a scratch

You needed more supervision then before

But you always managed to sneak out

One time you were caught in Tubbos lava trap

That kid knows his red stone

But you just stared up unamused

“What the hell is that gonna do to me?”

So he just let you out

That was a bad choice tho

Since you and sapnap started a forest fire the next day

Apparently they wanted independence

For drugs? Yeah that wasn’t happening

They didn’t even give you any

You also learnt how to make tnt cannons

That was a really fun day, the worst part was just cleaning all the gun powder

You were hesitant but loved burning down tubbos house

sad to see the place go

"I wanna see white flags, white flags outside your base by tomorrow, at dawn, or you are DEAD!"

Dream was different then before

Not the same uncle who loved you and spent time to just sit outside and relax

He was always anxious and got mad

He never took off that mask

“Ready to blow some shit up?”

“What now?” “Tommy’s embassy”

You weren’t allowed in the final control room

“If George can go so can I!” “Not this time”

Sapnap was worried about his kid

He didn’t want them constantly surrounded by wars and fighting

Just wanted you to have a normal childhood

But that wasn’t gonna be the case

You stood there next to George and sapnap

Worried about tommy

There was no way dream would loose

“10 paces fire!”

There he goes as tommy shoots in the air and dream goes straight for the heart

You were glad, now you could be at peace!
