as ever like: no two things Need to be juxtaposed, much less like material vs material deathmatch Only One Can Be Good, much less am i thinking i have thee objective word on fuckall b/c who does and it's like perfectly boring & unserious whenever someone just throws out Takes that are just "i think...[xyz] is [adjective]" like okay.
but anyways thinking of how, though differing in execution in a lot of ways ofc, deh & bmc start out in a v similar place & explore a journey to self-acceptance from a despairing starting point....it feels like a lot of the hindrance in deh's exploration of its own Theme there is in like, hey. :) hand on your shoulder. it's okay b/c you'll be able to be more normal. whereas w/bmc it's that it's okay b/c you'll be able to be more abnormal
#like hell yeah. and Normality is fake the way that things like Gender is fake so. what's more universally relevant here#versus like. the idea that a winning takeaway re: deh is Talking With Your Parents / Kid like#yeah that could be an improvement? in other situations; that Talking is dangerous &/or just not going to happen / be irrelevant#meanwhile nobody is ''normal'' & the idea of Normality & its Moral Goodness / Requirement does affect everyone#meanwhile that bmc is clear on jeremy's gaining supportive relationships means support for his relationship w/himself#whilest he's also able to feel better insulated from feeling Defined by whatever instance of feedback/input#whereas with deh it's like. All These People....but log off & all you need is at least one parent who doesn't hate you No Matter What#including your unfortunate abnormality....Just(tm) make the phone calls am i right? well now he at least has a part time job#meanwhile difficult to compare w/e's going on w/zoe/evan vs mpdg4mpdg jeremy/christine. latter are cute & a coherent relationship#former are [nothing] to [i'm taking psychic damage] & fuck if i know what's going on besides The Ultimate Romance(tm) (negative)#he was a boy she was a girl they could politely tolerate each other's presence. maybe forever :')#i really don't know what's supposed to be going on there so like. for real share Any reasons you like each other in Either love song abt it#anyways like No Need To Compare but for me the juxtaposition is natural b/c it Does feel like they can be looked at re: a v similar Essence#but one is fumbling around w/it & really Not sticking the landing especially while the other just does exactly what it's trying to do#and ofc it could only help that deh had to go so far from the original [???] ideas & more Farcical approach#vs i don't think bmc's envisioning ever changed so fundamentally along its development at any point#like deh's story does feel like it still has the remnants of the earlier farcier versions even in its bway form#story of A Bunch Of Wild Shit Happens To Our Protag Whaaat & sure ppl are humanized but you still never made room for like a quarter of the#alana & jared? they're alright but they died#anyways & in all these things it's like It's Not A Big Deal lol i am not here to strive to have thee true & final word#right tf on if you as well know them both & like deh more / think It was the more successful execution of its story#though i have natural enemies like say [trt loyalists who are Like That] or forever [deh haters who are Like That]....we're different#erased a tangent also mentioning how i like the Parent Approach of mr. heere's arc better than any parents in deh lol. like of course#it's Not about his Feelings or being Imperfect or Human. like ofc he has the feelings & is human & imperfect#but he just gets energized & focused like welp bummer but ofc i gotta give my kid more support w/whatever he's going through rn#like hell yeah. one fun song we're good to go#bmc#deh

First Encounter Part 7
Tumblr media
Warnings/Brief Summary: Marcus doing the must 💯|Ex being mentioned |Kelly and Dorn scolding reader🫠| Rita speaking facts🎙️ | Mike being done with the BS🙄| Next chapter might be the last part😢
Author’s note🗣️: I made this part a little long since I been M.I.A, enjoy ;) 💕
Previous Parts: 1 2 3 4 5 6
———————————————————————
After mourning your skittles that you didn’t even have a chance to enjoy, you return back outside with your now tolerable father to discuss the plan on saving Christine from McGrath.
Reaching the group, you noticed Mike and Armando standing to the side having a private discussion, but the more you watch their interaction, the faster you realized that Mike was lowkey praising his son's actions, giving him pats on the shoulder with a proud smile.
Sensing an extra pair of eyes on him Mike looks past Armando, to see you and Marcus, standing with the group, giving him a quizzical expression, as he ‘disciplines' Armando for his actions.
Switching his face from proud to annoyed, Mike smacks Armando’s arm, pointing at him, while saying, "But you bet not do that dumb shit ever again.”
Watching as Mike approach the group, with a perplexed Armando trailing behind him, you shake your head, amused by how Mike tried to cover his ass. Knowing that if he didn’t your father would start up with his mess again, but not to anyone surprise, Marcus already picked up on the bullshit.
“Over there praising that boy for his hereditary playboy moves, Imma whoop your ass after this rescue, Mike!" pausing he look at Armando with a devious smile," Oh and I can’t wait to get my hands on you!”
Rita cuts in before they could start bickering more, "ENOUGH! We need to focus on taking down McGrath, and not your kids FUCKING EACHOTHER!”
Stunned by how her bluntness, you watch as everyone stood still, either too scared to talk back or still in shock.
“Uh yeah, I think it’s time to focus on the real issue here.” you said swallowing hard as everyone gaze turn to you.
“Alright so we need to call back u-” Rita begins to say but is cut off by Mike, "No can do were still wanted fugitives and I know that McGrath wouldn’t like the extra reinforcement......this needs to be executed by us and us alone.”
Nodding her head she looks at Mike questionably, "Well how are we going to get their discreetly.”
“With him." he said pointing at Lockwood with a determined look.
“Mike will it be smart to use him.... he was the one that got us involved in this mess." Marcus said unsure by his decision to use Lockwood, knowing that he could fuck up the mission.
“He’s the reason this shit started, and he’s the only one that has direct contact to McGrath." Nodding his head in understanding Marcus says, “I know but I don’t trust him when it comes to communicating with McGrath.”
“I can help with that...I can easily transform Mike voice into Lockwood's, McGrath wouldn’t even know the difference.” Dorn says with certainty.
“Well let’s get to work, we already waisted enough time." Rita says giving her approval of the plan.
As everyone begins to break apart to get the plan in motion, you feel someone tug on your arm. Looking up you see Kelly giving you a forced smile, while tugging you away from any nosey listeners.
Already knowing what it might be about you roll your eyes, "Girl please don’t go into no rant about my dumb decision.”
Exhaling she shake her head sending you a pointed look,” Y/N I don’t even want to hear it, the fuck was you thinking.... sleeping with his fugitive ass.”
Rubbing at your face you say, "I know Kells...I messed up, but it’s been a stressful week working at the hospital and shit with everything going on...I needed that relief.”
“If you needed relief, you could’ve just called Rafe." she said folding her arms.
“Why the fuck you keep bringing him up, I don’t want nothing to do with his ass after what he did to me.” you said folding your arms with a rigid expression.
Studying you with her pensive eyes, she releases a sigh, "Okay, my bad for bringing him up but.... I would rather you deal with him than Armando.”
Blinking you stare at Kelly with a blank face, completely frozen.
“Kelly...since we all under a lot of stress and pressure right now.... Imma act like I didn’t just hear you say that stupid shit.” you said with a clenched jaw.
“Y/N don’t be like that; you know what I mean.... I just want you to start messing with people that can raise your standards.”
Pursing your lips at her words you say "Kells if I wanted someone who could raise my standards, I would just date one of the doctors from the hospital and finally fulfill your little greys anatomy fantasy.”
Grinning she says, "Please do because I’m ready for some real-life Meredith and Derek action." Scoffing you say, "Girl, bye why you choose the most problematic characters.... matter fact they all problematic so never mind!”
Giving each other a look you burst out laughing at y’all antics, "Besides, I'm already surrounded by that daily at work, so no thank you.”
Calming down she smirks, "Okay fine...but you acting just like them, sneaking away so you can get som-”cutting her off you give her annoyed look. Kelly raises her hands in defense,” Hey, I'm just saying you gave it up pretty quick, you made Rafe wait for months before you let him hit.”
“Don’t even try it, that was different, we were in a relationship, this was just a quick fuck.” you say already getting annoyed again by the mention of your ex.
“Y/N, you do realize that ever since you got involved with this mess, he hasn’t taken his eyes off of you, and the way he's been glancing at you, says otherwise." she said pointing behind you.
Gazing over your shoulder you see, Armando watching the interaction between you two, locking eyes, you see him smirk and give you a wink.
Shaking her head at the scene in front of her Kelly mumbles “quick fuck my ass.” Breaking the intense eye contact you turn back to her saying Huh, with a lost expression.
“One look at him already has you acting dumb.... damn girl he must’ve put some work in," Kelly says running her eyes over your figure. Snapping out of your stupor, you smack your lips, "He....ain’t do all of that, I mean don’t get me wrong it was good ...AMAZING....girl I’m not finna even lie...he had me wobbling.”
Covering her mouth Kelly dramatically wipes away a fake tear, "He done turn my best friend into a hoe." As your about to say something smart you hear a familiar voice cut in "She not wrong Y/N/N, and I was being serious when I said you're going to my therapist.”
Rolling your eyes, you peer up to see Dorn approaching, with a smug look.
“Not you too......and y’all gonna stop using that hoe word so freely." you said pointing at both of them with a semi-serious look.
“Y/N you had sex with him knowing that he was a fugitive...knowing that he killed Captain Howard....Knowing that he was trying to kill us in the process....and girl you barely know him." Pausing to scan your figure he says, "And by the looks of it you definitely didn’t use protection....A.K. A definition of a hoe.”
Placing your hand on your chest in shock you say, "You did not just read me!”
“I did but only out of love, cuz you need a wakeup call!" he says looking at Kelly, who nods her head in agreement.
“First of all, I don’t need no damn ‘wakeup’ call, when I was fully aware of what I was doing, and secondly why is everyone forgetting I’m a grown woman,I can fuck whoever I want!” you said nose flaring while glaring at Dorn and Kelly.
“Y/N were not judging you we just want was best for you.......especially after what happened between you and Rafe.” Dorn says with concern, while staring at his friend.
“I know it’s just tiring hearing everyone criticize my actions." Rubbing your face in frustration, you sigh look everywhere but at them. Walking up to you, Kelly pulls you in a tight hug, silently allowing her presence to comfort you.
Hugging her back you look to see Dorn standing their hesitantly, sighing you wave him over with a small smile. Embracing the comfort of your friends you say, "I love you guys but I swear your worser than my parents."
 Laughing Kelly pulls away shaking her head in disagreement,”Nah,Y/N your dad is definitely worser than us, he had me in a death grip earlier mumbling about how your gonna birth gangster babies!”
“No, he didn’t!” you say glancing at Dorn for confirmation, not believing it, watching as he gives a firm nod of his head with a smile, had you rolling your eyes.
“Y’all are going to be the death of me.”you said laughing while wiping at your eyes.
 Shivering slightly from the light breeze you say, "We should make our way back to the other’s I know they’re wondering where we ran off to.”
As y’all begin to make your way back towards the front of the lake house you start to hear yelling and scuffling. Looking at Kelly and Dorn they quickly make their way to the front immediately drawing their guns. Following behind them quick as well, you see them pause, confused and alarmed at the sight before them.
Stepping out from behind them, your just about to ask why they stopped until your eyes landed on the scene in front of you.
Marcus seemed to have caught Armando lacking because the sight in front of you doesn’t even seem real and to be completely honest you pinched yourself to double check. Somehow your dad had Armando in a headlock, while shouting some crazy shit at him, as Mike tried to pull him off his son.
Watching as Armando runs in circles trying to pry your father off him without truly hurting him, made you spring into action. ”DAD..WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!" you say trying to pull him off along with Mike.
“YOU THINK YOU CAN SLEEP WITH MY BABY WITHOUT CONSEQUENCES! OH, HELL NAH!” Marcus say seemingly lost in his on frustration.
Listening as Armando lets out a few grunts and cuss words in anger, as your father tighten his hold on him, almost made you laugh but the agitated look he sends you had you biting your lip instead.
Moving in front of Armando you attempt to remove your father arms as you yelled, "HOW THE HELL, DID HE GET YOU! IN A HEADLOCK?!”
“Mierda, no sé, estaba hablando con Mike y luego lo siguiente que sabes es que se está aferrando a mí como un puto gorila!(Shit, I don't know, I was talking to Mike and then the next thing you know, he's clinging to me like a fucking gorilla!)” he growls in spanish becoming agitated the longer Marcus hangs onto him.
“BOY DID YOUR ASS JUST CALL ME A MONKE-” finally breaking his hold Armando fly's forward in your arms causing you both to fall, while your dad was being held back by Mike who was starting to struggle. Seeing this Dorn and Kelly runs over to help Mike restrain Marcus as he continues to thrash around crazily.
Somehow during the fall Armando shifted your weight causing him to take most of the impact. Groaning you roll to the side, trying to catch your breath. Moving your head in his direction, you were met by his pained expression as his eyes scan over your face.
“You're okay, Nena?” he says breathing hard to catch his breath, nodding your head, you grimace as you sit up, eyes quickly assessing him.
“I should be asking you that." you said slightly winded from the fall but eyes remaining on him with concern. Sending you a small smile, he nods his head still trying to catch his breath.
Looking at your father who has a satisfied grin on his face, made you rolled your eyes at his immature behavior. "I can’t believe he did that.... he’s literally the cause of his on stress.” you said still in disbelief by what just happened.
Hearing slight movement, you look back to see Armando, sitting up looking more annoyed than in pain now. "I wanted to throw him off of me.... but I knew that would’ve caused more problems." he said sending you an unsure look as he waits for your response.
“Yeah, that definitely would’ve made it worse but to be honest..I don’t think anyone would blame you." you said with a smile.
“You guys alright!” Mike says as he makes his way over to you two. Nodding your head, you move to stand up, letting out a moan in the process. "Just a little sore but other than that nothing too serious.”
Offering Armando your hand, you pull him up from the ground, with little effort. “I’m just surprise that he attacked me...I mean Y/N warned me but I didn’t think he was actually going to do something. "Armando says dusting himself off while gazing between you and Mike.
Mike rolls his eyes at his reply, "Marcus little ass always trying to prove a point, he didn’t mean no harm by it, and thank you for not hurting him.... I know you could have.”
“Yeah, thank you for that." you said giving his shoulder a light squeeze in appreciation. Gazing up at him with a smile you were met with a smirk, confused you tilt your head to the side silently questioning him.
“I can think of a few ways you could.....really thank me.” he said pulling you into his side while giving your hip a light squeeze.
“See that’s the reason we dealing with Marcus's bullshit right now." Mike says pulling you away from Armando with a disappointed look.
” Keep your nasty ass hands to yourself, matter of fact until this mission is over with, y’all ass bet not be near each other...comprende!”he says glaring at you two but more at Armando.
Shaking your head, in agreement you gaze over at Armando, who is squinting his eyes at Mike. Watching as they have a staring match, made you raise an eyebrow in amusement, giving Mike a fake smile Armando says sure.
Exhaling nosily through his pursed lips, Mike just accepts that it was a lost cause, "I swear if y’all give Marcus another reason to flip the fuck out tonight, he ain’t gonna be the one you have to worry about.”
And with that he walks away seemingly done with dealing with everyone’s problems. Sighing you move to leave as well but is stopped by Armando grabbing your hand, "You gonna let his little threat stop us from having some fun."
Glancing up at him you see him peering at you with a coy smile, "No, but I think we done had enough fun tonight." you say slightly narrowing your eyes at him. Rolling his brown eyes, he pulls you in a small embrace, hands falling to your waist.
“Okay fine...but I still think I deserve a reward for not acting on my impulses." he says looking down at you with want.
Fluttering your eyelashes in fake contemplation, "I don’t know.... you did show restraint when it came to my dad.... but right now, you're struggling with staying away from me.”
Eying the way you lightly run your hands against his arms, made him smirk, "Doesn't seem like I’m the only who’s struggling, querida.”
Staring up at him with a teasing smile,” Oh I’m not struggling at all, in fact I’ve been wanting to jump on you, since we left the apartment," pausing you look away from him, gazing at the others, "but for their sake, I'll wait until we rescue Christine.”
Grabbing your chin, Armando pulls your attention back to him, "Well I can wait as long as you want, the only thing I want from you right now is a kiss." he says tracing your bottom lip with his thumb.
"I think I can manage that." leaning forward you lick your lips in anticipation, "I mean after all I still need to reward you….right."
Keeping his intense gaze on your full lips,he hums in agreement.Deciding to tease him a little you lean up and give him a quick peck.
Shifting his low lidded brown eyes to yours,he reaches a hand down to pinch your ass hard,”Don’t be a fucking tease,Y/N.”
Jumping from the pinch you smack his chest playfully,”Okay,fine just wanted to see how eager you were.”
Pressing your full lips against his warm soft ones made you release a content sigh,as he pressed your body closer to his.
Shivering lightly from the way his tongue grazed yours,made you pull away from the kiss,”It might be smart to stop now before this get out of control.”you said taking in a breath while giving him a smile.
Staring down at you in thought, Armando smirks,”What…scared of giving them a show?”
Smacking your lips you pull away from his embrace,”No…I’m worried the longer I stay in your presence,the more I realize that I might actually have hoe tendencies.”
Face going blank he says,”What?”
Laughing at his expression you take his hand,pulling him with you as you walk towards the others.”Nothing just…never mind,I’ll explain it later.”
Armando trails behind you,still confused but choosing to disregard it as he keeps a sharp gaze on the way your hips sway.
“Y’all done being all lovey dovey.”Marcus say eyeing the way you keep a tight grip on Armando hand as you approach.Rolling your eyes at your dads comment you say,”Maybe…you done acting like a fool?”
Rolling his eyes as well,he cross his arms,while watching you two,”…..For the sake of my future grandchild,I am.”
You and Armando eyes immediately widen in shock,as y’all say,”What!!!”

"Oh where is the doctor? I have to push! I have to push this baby! I have to push so badly! I NEED TO PUSH! RIGHT NOW!"
Christine's pleads were laced with sheer desperation. The painful waves of her labor were coming relentlessly close now. The cramping was severe. Her entire body was sweating profusely. The oversized head was violently pounding down inside of her womb. Its gigantic weight was applying ever mounting pressure that was sheer torture for the mother.
The delivery doctor swiftly entered the birthing suite and asked for the current updates before sitting promptly at the end of the birthing bed. He gloved up and inserted his surgical fingers inside the laboring patient's swelling passage. A massive scream escaped the birther as he drove his fingers deeper and harder.
"Alright, Christine, you have waited long enough to do this. I nedd you to give me one tremendously hard push! Deep breath, hold it and now PUSH HARD!"
Shuddering down through the pain, Christine cried and bore down with all her tensed up energy. It was incredible to finally to be releasing the need to PUSH. Christine pushed again, yelling through the building pressure in her uterus. The massive sized crown slammed down as she worked to expel it forward and down. The climbing contraction became more savage as her efforts became more dramatic. The horrific tension accelerated through her core. She howled and strained. It was not moving! It was not going anywhere! IT WAS STUCK HARD!
Christine collapsed back on the bed after several more rounds of hard pushing. Feverish, she coughed wildly as she tried to regain her composure. The doctor was still inside of her, probing and pumping against her slowly dilating cervix. He ordered the ultrasound machine to assess the exact size of the head. All the staff in the suite were shocked when the image came up on the screen. There was silence! They all looked in total disbelief at the colossal infant inside this laboring patient.
"What is wrong, Doctor? What is wrong? What is wrong with my baby?"
Christine looked with wild eyes at the different medical staff around her and then back at the delivery doctor.
"Christine, it is the biggest baby this unit has ever attempted to deliver. This will be a marathon of hard pushing and birthing for you!"
Before Christine had time to process the information, the next contraction crushed into her. It's brutality was overwhelming. She screamed and leaned forward, begging to bear down again.
"Keep it going! Christine, I want to push like hell. The head is filling your birth canal. You need to try harder. You need to drive it down lower inside of you."
It had been an agonising hour of screaming pushes and torturous stretching as Christine had bore down to free her humongous baby. The mother was exhausted but she had no choice. Her laboring core would not allow her to stop and relax. The delivery doctor and staff had supported her through the painful pressure of each new intense contraction.
Tumblr media
"You are doing beautifully, Christine. A couple more hard pushing rounds and you will began to experience the crowning stage."
The delivery doctor turned to the staff and ordered the birthing instruments and birthing formula. It was to assist if Christine could not do this on her own and naturally.
Another excruciating hour ticked by. Christine was screaming in sheer torture. The contractions had reached unbearable levels. The enormous crown was just behind her vaginal folds. She was yelling for any type of relief. After the latest contraction, the delivery doctor ordered one dosage of the birthing formula and one vibrating birthing wand. Christine didn't understand what the wand was used for until it was inserted and added counter pressure as she bore down harder than ever.
The delivery doctor held the wand firmly in her rear opening as she stretched widely, howling wildly through the process. Her body opened up, allowing for the mega crown to SLOWLY crown to her widest point.
"Alright Christine, we are almost there. On the next contraction, I want you to give me the biggest, hardest push ever! We are going to deliver this baby!"
Tumblr media
Deliriously, Christine leant forward with staff support. She strained as hard as she could. Her baby needed her. She needed the baby to come. She was exhausted. The pain had come to the most painful point. Her body spasmed violently as the head pounded her entire nether region. Howling louder and longer, the baby started to fully come through her. The birther cried out and pushed again!
"Oh its coming! IT IS COMING! I HAVE TO GET IT OUT! I HAVE TO BIRTH THIS BABY! RIGHT NOW!"
Christine pushed again. Her body spasmed and erupted into a million pieces as she experienced the biggest climatic explosion. She pushed again, adding more quaking pressure between her thighs. Christine roared as she quivered out of control. Trembling violently, the head was birthed in a flood of birthing fluids. Minutes later, the rest of the baby rushed out onto the delivery table.
Christine closed her eyes and smiled quietly to herself. The sounds of her huge baby's cries was her ultimate reward for all her hard work!

pairing: black!femalereader x Terry Richmond
mentions of: a child (idk having a child might be triggering for some folks), mutual verbal abuse, cancer, cloaked mention of abortion. non-canon, terry might be ooc.
notes: despite the above mentions....it's not a dark story.
                Your son was bouncing his knee, holding the football just under his little puffy jacket covered arms. Well, at least you thought he was bouncing his knee. Every time you would slide a look over to him, he would suddenly look very still and solemn. Serious, as if he was really contemplating the lyrics of Kokomo by The Beach Boys. You hid your giggle and continued humming along to the radio.
“Did you have fun at your dads?” You asked sliding another look at your son.
He nodded, as a smile appeared again. “So much fun. Me and Keke, and JoJo ate sundaes and we watched the football game on thanksgiving. Aunt Allison had some wine and she was dancing and she asked me to dance you know I had to show her how we do it now. You old people-“
“Old?” You scoffed. “Boy, who you think taught you those moves?”
“Old people. Anyway, we had so much fun. Christine bought me a ball and daddy and me, daddy and I, threw the ball so much. He said I have a good arm.”
You rolled your eyes and took a right at the red light. Yohan would not put football dreams in your son’s head but you couldn’t shake the joy out of his eyes. “Oh is that right. What about that book report?”
And there was the silence. You shook your head and chuckled. “…Cat got your tongue?”
“I forgot. But I can do it tonight. We still got the weekend.”
“Uh huh.” You shook your head again and pulled into your parking space in front of your town home. And suddenly your son was reaching for the door handle, rushing like he had to go to the bathroom.
“Slow down, what you got to pee?” You knew exactly what he was rushing for.
“I want to show Terry my new ball and see if he wants to see how I throw.” He nearly slammed the door hard enough to break the window. You laughed exasperated and your son’s energy.
“He might not be home Marcus.” You got out of the car yourself, straightening your slightly off-ivory sweater. Your words didn’t stop him from ringing the doorbell, bouncing on his toes. No more than a minute later, the door opened and Terry was standing at the door, bright smile on his face and blue eyes trained on your son.
It was enough to make you melt right on the asphalt you were standing on in the 55-degree weather.
“Marc, my man. Dang, you were gone like two months.” Terry said clapping hands with the much shorter boy, and then squatting to give him a hug. “How was your thanksgiving?”
Marc shrugged, and you rolled your eyes. Boys. “It was alright.” He said, voice suddenly calm conveying indifference.
“Just alright? What the macaroni wasn’t good?” He looked at Marcus then, eyes scanning his face quickly and then he looked over at you, concern in his eyes.
“He good?” He seemed to say, just with a slight shifting of his eyebrows.
You clutched your purse to your stomach, shaking your head and shrugging with a smirk on your face.
“Oh I see, you trying not to make me jealous cause you know I sat here and had a pot pie for dinner.” He shoved him a little and then looked down at the football in his hand. “What’s that?”
“Football, my dad’s fiancé got it for me. You want to see me throw it?”
“You ask your mom?” Terry looked at you then, and Marcus’ face soon followed, his face pleading with you to be cool and say yes.
“It’s cold.” You said, needling him a little bit.
“Ma, please.” He begged.
“Fine, but book report right after. And put your gloves on.” You said grabbing his suitcase out of the backseat.
“Aww Ma-
“Hey, football players wear them too. You want your fingers to be frozen and you mess up the throw? Do what your mom says.” Terry said, his deep voice gentle.
“You right Terry.”
You rolled your eyes again, and closed the backseat. “Of course, listen to Terry. Not your dear old ma, who only was in labor with you for 6 whole h-“
“Alright ma, we’ll be in the backyard.” Marcus walked into Terry’s house, knowingly heading straight for the back door that led to your shared backyard space.
“He a trip I swear.” Terry laughed. “You need help with that?”
“It’s just one suitcase. I’m not fragile.” You stood at your door looking over at Terry fiddling with your keys.
Terry smirked, “Never said you were. Just offering. …How was your thanksgiving? I didn’t see you.” He leaned against his doorframe. His eyes shifted a little lower. You ignored the rumbling in your lower half.
“I went out.”
“With who?” His voice was slightly deeper, his eyes snapped back on your face.
You chuckled looking up at the sky for help. Something, anything that would stop the tingles in your lower half. “30 minutes Terry. Have my child back in my house in thirty minutes.” And with that you walked in your home and closed the door, safe and away from blue eyes and pheromones.
                You sat at your dining room table, windows facing the backyard open so you could see Marcus and Terry throwing the ball back and forth. Your laptop was open in front of you and the grading software had been idling for 20 minutes now as you watched the ball go back and forth. Terry’s form was impeccable, but you knew that. You knew that when he moved in.
Before Terry, there was Mrs. Mable. Mrs. Mable was a sweet older white woman who had moved into the town home after her husband had passed from cancer. She had lived in some big house about 20 minutes away, but once her husband died, she couldn’t stand the silence. When you moved into the Town home, she had been so excited, bringing over cookies and making sure that you knew exactly what school to enroll Marcus into. In the two years that you were neighbors, she had become a sort of surrogate aunt, even watching Marcus during moments where you needed to run out for whatever reason. When her daughter had another baby, she decided to move in with her to help and suddenly the Town home was empty.
Enter Terry.
You hadn’t even seen him look at the place. Only saw the moving van pull up and him, green shirt and tan cargo pants, moving his boxes in all by himself. He didn’t have much but what he did have, he moved efficiently and quickly. You knew he was a force when he picked up an armchair sofa by himself and moved it into his home…almost with no sweat. You noticed the trails of it running down his thick neck.
“Jesus.” You mumbled, hand clutching at your own neck.
“I think he needs help.” Marcus, six then, said. He was sitting at the door, putting on his little sneakers in a hurry.
“And you’re going to help him?” You smirked, watching your child spring into action.
“Yeah, I helped Mrs. Mable move her stuff in the van.”
“So, you’re a pro at it.”
“Duh, mommy.” He opened the door and you followed him, standing on your stoop as your son traveled the few feet over to the new neighbor. You leaned on your door frame, admiring the neighbor from behind as he walked into the moving truck, not even noticing the little 3 foot moving professional walking behind him.
“Can I help?” Marc asked after a moment of standing just at the edge of the truck.
There was a little pause and then a voice, “Uh…yeah you can…but where’s your mom and dad? They know you out here?”
“Ma’s right there. She said it’s okay.” Marcus pointed at you then and a face looked out of the side of the truck. Your inhale was sharp.
His face was devastating. Big features, big lips, wide nose, big blue eyes. On someone else it could be cartoonish, but on him it was almost movie star handsome.
“Damn…” You couldn’t help but say. Fuck, I hope he didn’t hear that.
He grinned slightly, and waved at you. “Hey, I’m Terry. Is it cool if your boy helps me?”
You nodded, your sanity coming back to you. “It’s…it’s cool. But if he breaks anything, just remember you said it was okay for him to help.” You joked and then cursed. Probably not a good idea to tell your neighbor that your son was a little destructive.
Terry laughed; it wasn’t a belly laugh but it was enough to brighten his face. “I won’t sue you. No worries.” He held out his hand for Marcus and helped him onto the truck. “Grab those lamps for me.”
“Be careful Marc.” You shouted.
“I am!” He shouted back, making Terry chuckle again.
You spent at least an hour and 30 minutes sitting on your stoop watching Terry and Marcus pull things off the truck. And during that time, you got a good look at Terry. He had to be at least 6’1 maybe more, and he was broad shouldered. His posture was ram-rod straight like he had been in the military or something. He answered Marcus’ questions calmly, like they had all the time in the world. Like he had no issue with answering the inane questions of a 6-year-old. He was not annoyed and if he was, he was amazing at hiding it.
You were watching them; they had stopped so Marcus could show Terry a Pokemon card he had gotten in a trade. Terry was squatted low to look at the card, giving it all the attention in the world as Marcus explained all of its features. You had urged Marcus to stop holding the man up, but Terry encouraged him to tell him more about the card, making Marcus even more excited.
“He good mama.” He looked at you, eyes focused on yours, voice still calm. Your son was not bothering him. He looked at him then, “I want to know what Bulbasaur does.”
Your stomach clenched. Oh god. You could not sleep with this man. You could not sleep with this man because she showed your son decency. Your phone rang in your pocket then, and the name on the screen made you drier than the Sahara Desert.
Yohan.
You stood up then, going to the furthest corner of your stoop. You didn’t turn your back on the two, but you did turn a little for privacy.
“Hey. What’s up?”
A pause. “I can’t get him this weekend.”
“Yohan, what the fuck. It’s your weekend. You said you were going to take him to the fair.”You kept your voice down as much as possible, not wanting to alarm Marcus.
“…I gotta work. I know what I said. I told you I’m trying.”
“You always say you have to work but then you end up in the fucking club with girls all over you.” You turned then facing away from the men who now were moving a table, Terry was of course doing most of the lifting. “Nigga, I always have to cover for you. I’m tired of lying to my son cause you don’t want to be a father.” You whispered.
“Who said I didn’t want to be a father? I’m fucking telling the truth. I don’t have to lie to your ass. I have to work. Put my son on the phone.”
You looked back and gasped. Terry was watching you, concern on his face. Marcus was heading towards the moving van, not a care in the world. You forced a grin and nodded. You were okay. Terry stood there for another second, before nodding once and walking towards the moving van.
You let out the breath you were holding and focused on the phone.
“Did you hear me Y/N? Put Marc on the phone.”
“No.” You simply said. “He’s busy.”
Another pause and then a chuckle. “…I am not doing this with you. Put my son on the phone.”
“I said no.” You were being unreasonable, sure but this man was always doing this shit and you had enough. “You are not about to feed my son no bullshit so you can feel better about what you’re doing.”
“What you want me to send you the schedule? I got to work. Fuck! This is why I left your ass-“
“Left me? Nigga I threw that ring and your fucking shit to the left-“
“-You don’t trust me.”
“Oh, cause you gave me so many reasons to trust you.” You laughed. “There was Brenda, Latisha, Linda, Felicia, about three Kims’-“
He chuckled, “What you DMX now? Fuck this, I’ll tell Allison to come pick my son up since you want to be stupid-“
You rolled your eyes, “You tell Allison if she steps her drunk ass on my porch, it’ll be the last thing-“
“Mommy.”
You stopped immediately, straightening up and wiping your eyes. You didn’t even know you had starting to cry. “Hey, you done?” You said turning around when you were straight.
“I just gotta pee, and you’re in front of the door.” Marcus was crossed leg and shifting.
You laughed. “My bad, go. And wash your hands.” You called after him.
You sighed when he was out of sight and put the phone back on your ear. “I can’t do this anymore.”
“Good… So stop being stupid, and just be reasonable.”
“I’m taking you to court. Bye Yohan.” You hung up the phone, and turned it completely off, sitting on the stairs and putting your head in your hands. Your eyes wet your hands, but you were not crying. You would not cry anymore.
After a moment, there was movement next to you, and then warmth. You looked to the side and Terry was there, silent, not looking at you. Just there. It was oddly comforting although he was a stranger.
You chuckled, “You heard all of that?”
He shrugged and shook his head, “Heard what? …I’m just resting.” He said, still not looking at you. You shook your head.
“On my porch?”
“I’m tired. My porch is like…all the way over there.” He gestured to the right of you. “I’ve been moving all day.”
“Right.” You sniffed in, wiping your eyes. “I could spit the distance between your porch and mine.”
“1. That’s impressive. 2. Doesn’t mean I want to walk it.” He grinned then. “Let me rest, mama.”
“Fine, only because I know you’re tired.” You stood up. “And don’t call me mama. I’m not your mama.”
“My bad. …what’s your name?” He looked up at you.  “You never told me.”
“It’s Y/n. My name is Y/n.”
                It had been two years since then. And Terry turned out to be a pretty reliable neighbor as well, helping you when your tires were flat. Helping you carry in groceries. And entertaining your son’s every whim, including throwing various balls across your shared backyard.
“And you won’t fuck him why?” Keke said making you snap out of your daze. You were on a zoom call with her while working on your papers you had to finish grading. Keke might have been Yohan’s sister but she was also your friend, your best friend. “I know you ain’t still feenin for Yohan’s ugly ass.”
“Keke, please.” You said laughing. “Don’t nobody want your big head ass brother no more.”
“See that’s what you said before, then six months later there you go waddling around with Marcus in your stomach.” She laughed. “Listen, I love my bookie but I would have.” She made a sucking noise and crossed her hand across her neck. “Immediately. You know what I’m saying.”
“You stupid.”
“For real. Fuck the man. Get it over with. You know you want to. You know you going to. It’s been two years.” She grinned. “I saw how he was looking at you on the fourth. Like he wanted to bend your ass right over on that picnic table. Yes god! I would have LET HIM. You hear me?”
“Keisha.”
“I’m for real. I know he fuck good. When he over you with all that weight, and he-“ She clapped her hands in a rhythm that reminded you of an intense session of love making. “You can grab onto all that back he got and just let go. Just EXHALE GIRL. Woosah bitch.”
“Keisha.”
“I know he gone talk you through it too. …you gotta tell me all about it. Or hell move out the way and I’ll give it a go.”
“You’re married.” You nearly laughed but kept it in.
“Damn you right.-“
You laughed then.
“You gotta do it, for the both of us.”
“You don’t sleep where you…well sleep. He’s my neighbor and if things get messy, then I can’t escape it.”
And things always found a way of being messy with you. There was the guy from the supermarket, no you didn’t heed the warning that Troy shouted up at Robin in Waiting to Exhale, nor the warning from the cannibal movie from Hulu. He ended up having a girlfriend, who would go on to flatten your tires.
And then there was Kevin, the principal from your son’s school. You had only gone on one date with him, and it was HORRIBLE. So bad that you blocked him, and now ignore him at PTA meetings. And then there was…
Damn, maybe it was you.
“Yall are grown. If you tell him, hey big fine 6’3 ass man-
“He’s not 6’3.”
“Oh bitch, he’s 6’3. I know a tall nigga when I see one. Anyway, if you just tell the man, hey I just want to fuck…no strings, I know he’ll be cool with it.”
“I’m not a hoe, Keisha.”
“Who said you was! This is grown people business. Grown! If you set expectations in the beginning then no one gets hurt. Grown People business girl. Now…what you waiting for?”
You looked out the window, Terry and Marcus was still playing outside, neither one of them minding your 30 minute instruction that you had given earlier but you weren’t mad. It made you feel warm inside that your son trusted Terry so much, and that Terry was so warm to your son.
“Keisha…I don’t know.” You still were looking outside when Terry looked back at you too. He grinned, and you smiled. Someone could end up hurt…and more than likely it would be you.
“Girl…I told you. Set expectations up front, get what you want and if you don’t want it no more….no hard feelings. Grown.-“
You nodded, deciding to yourself.
“Grown people business.” -----
a/n: i don't know. this should be a series...but I'm not good at finishing stuff, so no promises. i hope you all enjoyed it. mwah. i can't remember the last time i wrote lol, so yeah...

Ghost helps Riot decorate the Christmas tree at the base.
Fluff. A gift for my friend, @gamergirlbonestaskforce141riot with her OC, Christine “Riot” Vega. (Awesome render here!)
———————————————————————
“It’s too tall.”
“Or, maybe you’re too short.”
Riot shifts her gaze from the Christmas tree to Ghost. He doesn’t regard her back, yet she knows there’s a smile underneath that mask—one of those triumphant, snarky, arrogant, ‘i-got-her-again’ grins.
“Behave, Lieutenant,” she warns. “I’m 1.70, in case you didn’t read my file.”
“Congratulations to the whole 1.70 of you,” he replies and playfully pats her head. “With or without the shoes?”
Riot rolls her eyes and swats his hand away. “Can you just get me the ornament boxes from the warehouse?” She asks.
“You have to be more specific, love,” He says. “The warehouse is a two thousand square meter void filled with cardboard boxes.”
“I don’t have the coordinates, Ghost.” She replies, smirking. “You can ask Gaz whether he planted a GPS tracker in them or, here’s a better idea: how about you search for the boxes labelled as ‘Xmas’?”
Now, he’s the one rolling his eyes. He murmurs a “how unique” and walks to the door to fulfil her request.
While waiting for Ghost to find and retrieve the boxes, Riot tests the new Christmas lights they bought by plugging them into the socket. Once she confirms they work, she starts wrapping them around the tree. Although the task appears to be assigned to just the two of them, it took all five—including the captain who gave the roles—to make it happen.
Gaz chose the tree and bought extra ornaments, then Soap measured its dimensions, ensuring enough lights to cover it. Once aligned, they raked the entire base to decide on the perfect spot. Their prerequisites? It had to be a place where everyone could see it and would do it justice. Unfortunately, they couldn’t agree on a specific location, so they met in the middle and decided to place the tree in the mess hall, the exact same spot it was last year. And the year before it. And the year before it.
Then, it was up to Ghost to carry the tree, and the captain instructed him to help Riot with the “heavy-duty” tasks. Now, all that’s left is for Riot to decorate it.
“I still don’t get why you get to decorate.” Ghost says, placing the boxes on the floor. “Why are we doing chores like measuring and carrying boxes while you get the fun stuff?”
“Because whoever did it last year did a terrible job,” she retorts, emphasising ‘whoever’ and handing Ghost a light strip to continue up to the top. “You guys didn’t even shuffle the decorations. Not to mention that the back was empty.”
“Nobody sees the back,” Ghost argues.
“You don’t?” Riot smirks.
“Nobody sees the back of the tree,” Ghost corrects.
“Well, I do,” she replies, pointing at the top of the tree, “and go a little bit lower over there.”
“Like that?” he asks.
“Like that,” she confirms.
After finishing the light placement, Ghost sits on the sofa. He takes an ornament shaped like a candy cane from one of the boxes and starts playing with it. Riot, on the other hand, gets straight to the job. She opens the boxes and grabs two ornaments. She places one on the tree, removes it and tries the other. She concludes on the latter. She turns around to search the boxes for more ornaments and catches Ghost fiddling with the candy cane.
“You can go if you’re bored,” she says. “I won’t finish anytime soon.”
“That I figured,” he murmurs under his breath, making Riot instinctively place her hands on her waist. He lets a sharp chuckle and shakes his head. “I’m alright here.” He assures her.
But of course, where else would he be alright if not here?
Time passes quickly. Ghost and Riot reminisce about their past Christmases—childhood festivities, memorable Boxing Day gifts, favourite holiday foods, and the annual movies that defined each season. Yet, these beautiful memories end at a certain point unique to each. Maybe those memories have faded away, or perhaps they have purposefully chosen to let them go. And when that happens, when they approach that personal boundary, they stop dwelling on those past celebrations and turn to each other, to the present, to fill them with joy.
Sometimes, Riot shows Ghost different ornaments, and he either picks one or dismisses the options with a casual “whatever” or “there’s no difference.” Other times, Ghost critiques her progress, giving feedback while she decorates. He points out areas needing more attention or playfully suggests she’s gone overboard elsewhere. In return, Riot replies with a firm yet joking, “Go on; you do it then”, and shuts him up.
She lifts one final piece into the air and shows it to Ghost—the Christmas tree topper.
“Seems that I’m too short to reach the top,” she pouts.
“Nonsense,” he whispers and stands up. “It’s the tree that’s too tall.”
He walks towards her, grabs her waist, and lifts her up.
“Now I get why the captain assigned me for the heavy-duty stuff,” he says.
“Drop me, and I’ll stick you up there instead of the topper.” She warns him, chuckling. “Take one more step forward, please.”
Ghost does as told, and Riot places the topper at the top. She adjusts it and lightly taps Ghost’s hand to put her down. They take a few steps back and marvel at the result.
“What do you think?” Riot asks, still looking at the tree.
“Seems alright.” Ghost shrugs. “Should we turn the lights on?”
“No,” Riot replies. “I want all of them to be here when we do it.”
He turns to look at her and nods. She meets his gaze and smiles.
“Thank you for lifting me up.” She says.
“No,” he replies. “Thank you for lifting me up.”

Omg can you please write about Lee Russell being mean to you in front of Gamby as like a power display or something but then when y'all get home (y'all are like Secretly dating since you're just a teacher) he's all nice and romantic to apologize?
YIPPEE I found another lee Russell lover! don't judge please I'm Australian so I have little concept of American education. I hope you like it.
Warnings: Lil angsty and implied sex
Be mean to me
Lee Russell x reader (well Christine sucks so she's not in this story)
Tumblr media
Life was pretty peachy as a history teacher in North Jackson high school, you were stuck teaching from a range of boring topics to your either half asleep, barely listening or teacher pet students, except you were sleeping with the vice principal, Lee Russell. You couldn't resist that southern charm radiating off his tongue when he spoke those words on your first day as a teacher, in the parking lot.
"Mornin' Sweetheart, are you lost? The names Lee Russell, Vice principal of this very high school and you're way too fuckin' pretty to be a high school teacher."
After taking a good look at the lanky man who called himself the vice principal, you couldn't help yourself, and after promptly introducing you to your fellow teachers, he briskly walked you to the janitors closet where you both spent all morning. Obviously, you both knew this had to be kept a secret, boss and employee dating is a no-go, although that did not stop you both from being affectionate when no was watching, sharing a peck when you went to visit him at his office or the grasp of his hand on your thigh under the table at meetings or after work, where it was safe to be yourselves and you could lay together watching borderline cheesy romcom movies whilst Lee critiques his heart out.
You sighed contently as the bell for seventh period rang, the mingled voices of your 6th period ancient history class rushed out the door to their next useless class and you could finally relax and start lesson planning for the next 45 minutes. You let your hands run down your thighs, smoothing out your new dress (this but more teacher appropriate). You brought this specifically for Lee, you knew of his love for colours, hence his usually eccentric clothing choices, you knew he'd love the pattern on you. You couldn't help but smile giddily and walk out of the classroom, you knew you could easily finish the planning later and you'd rather spend the last of the school day with Lee.
You swiftly walked down the hall to administration, smiled sweetly at Swift, because you knew how rude Gamby was to her for no reason, and she didn't deserve that, like Gamby seriously needs a reality check in your opinion.
"Afternoon Miss Swift, I hope you're doing alright and Gamby isn't giving you a hard time, I was hoping to see Mr. Russell, I had to discuss long service leave with him."
"Oh, thank you miss l/n, vice principal Gamby is albeit rude, but I think he's getting better, and of course let me get the door for you."
You knew she wasn't stupid, and you assumed she knew about you and Lee secretly dating, but it was better to come up with an excuse and be safe rather than sorry. Smith quickly opened to door and shut it behind you.
"Well, hello there honey, I was expecting you- and what's this? isn't this a pretty thing?"
He shot up from his desk chair and sauntered over to where you stood, he placed his hands on your waist and whispered in your ear.
"I can't wait to rip that off you gir-"
Suddenly the door swung open, and Lee jumped away from you, 'of course Neal Gamby, you had to come fuck everything up." you thought to yourself, now awkwardly fiddling with the hem of your dress.
"Russell. We need to talk. Why the hell are you here Miss. l/n? I thought Wednesday 7th period was your planning lesson."
Before you could reply to Gamby, Lee interjected,
"Exactly, Scram Miss l/n, I don't need nor want you here, I have better shit to do, plus what the fuck are you wearing? you look like a fuckin mess, pick a goddamn colour."
Your heart sank, an uncomfortable tightness sat in your chest as your face flushed in embarrassment. You knew Lee being a dick to you was only a ruse to throw off other teachers and admin but, fuck it hurt, it hurt so much to have him speak to you in that way. You nodded your head and headed to the door,
"Open or closed Mr. Russell?"
Gamby responded for him, responding in a curt 'Closed.' leaving you to silently shut the door behind you. You walked out of the administration office before your eyes welled with tears, but you waited until you reached your classroom until you broke, sobbing quietly at your desk. You just wished you and Lee could act like a couple instead of the cold shoulder act he'd be giving you. With the mixed signals and nausea swirling through your brain, you grabbed your left-over paperwork and bag before leaving. Usually, you and Lee would leave at the same time, but you couldn't bear to see him at the moment, all your hard work, making yourself pretty for him and resulting in him publicly humiliating you was just too much.
The short drive home eased you a little but when you had to walk up those steps of your shared home, it just brought back that sickly tension. You unlocked the door and set your handbag down (another reminder of Lee since it was an anniversary gift). You kicked off your heels and headed upstairs to your shared bedroom. You didn't bother to change and slumped into bed, fresh tears coming to your eyes, you didn't care whether you were quiet or not, sobbing yourself till you couldn't keep your eyes open.
Lee's POV:
He regretted the words as soon as they came from his mouth. He saw the hurt on your face, and he felt his stomach twist into a tight knot. He hated being a dick to you, hated it so much he hated himself for doing it. He realised he went way too far this time with you, and he really didn't want to lose you and couldn't help but fidget with his hands whilst blatantly ignoring whatever bullshit Gamby was bitching about.
"Sorry Gamby but I gotta run, not like you'd know what that is though. We'll talk about Brown tomorrow, now get the fuck outta my office."
Neal sighed, muttered some regurgitated insult but ultimately left. Lee rushed to grab his belongings and ran out the door, Smith tried to ask where he was off to in a rush,
"Sir, you can't just leave! where are you even going???"
When he pulled into the driveway, 'Thank God' he thought as he saw your car parked there. He got out, left all his belongings in the car, not a care. You were more important; you were the most important thing in his life. He opened the door and called;
"Shut the fuck up Smith, I can leave whenever the fuck I want and its none of your business where I am going."
Smith squeaked a reply, but Lee was already down the hall, he went to your classroom and groaned when he noticed a lack of you and your belongings. He ran to the parking lot, got into his car as soon as he didn't saw your car, without a doubt it was always parked next to his. He gripped the steering wheel tightly, knuckles turning white, he shakily exhaled, he knew he had fucked up and was hoping you were at home.
"Y/n baby, where are you? I'm so sorry about what I said."
The silence was nerve-racking, so after checking all the other rooms for you, he headed to the bedroom to check. There you were, peaceful and asleep, he couldn't have been happier. He walked across the room to the side to the bed you were facing, and sat gently on the bed, softly stroking your hair.
Your POV:
You slowly awoke out of a dreamless slumber to someone touching you. You flinched when you realised it was Lee, and you remembered everything that happened today. He felt your reaction and immediately pulled his hand away. He saw the tear streaks on your face and sighed,
"Y/n I am so fuckin' sorry; I should have never had said those hurtful things to you, you didn't deserve that, God, I don't deserve you. I didn't even mean them, I need you so much, and you do so much for me, and I take that shit for granted, please forgive me y/n, I love you."
You saw the raw emotion across his face and sat up, you could see the tears in his eyes, and you couldn't help but wipe the one away falling down his cheek with your thumb. You smiled softly and leaned into him,
"I forgive you Lee, and I love you so much. I don't think you meant it but what you said really fucking hurt, and this hiding our relationship is really hurting us, so please can we finally go public and not have to worry and hide anymore?"
"Thank you so much and fuck it! who gives a shit if you and I are together? whoever doesn't like it can suck my dick, I can't lose you honey."
You smiled, finally knowing you'd and Lee would finally be able to be yourselves without having hide and sneak around.
"You aren't losing me Lee; I wouldn't do that to you. Now kiss me, you idiot."
He didn't hesitate a second before crashing his lips into yours, your hands finding his neck before climbing into his lap. His hands sneaked around your waist bringing you even closer, you could feel his erection under you, and you couldn't help moaning into his mouth. He broke the kiss to whisper,
"Well now how about I make do of my promise from earlier?"
The End
I hope this was good! please leave comments or asks if you enjoyed :)

Mondays were swiftly becoming Erik's least favorite at the Rosy Hours, not due to the noisy crowds, but because Christine never visited on her day off. Besides, she had mentioned plans to visit her fiancé’s family, not that he paid much attention to that conversation. No, not at all. Despite this, he managed to endure yet another Monday, especially after ushering out the lingering patrons who clamored for one last drink. It was now 2 a.m., and he was nearly done cleaning out his station for the night when his phone buzzed in his back pocket. Draping the dish towel over his shoulder, he brushed his hands off before fishing out his phone.
It was a text from Meg Giry, and that in itself caused Erik to raise an eyebrow; she rarely sent him anything aside from random, silly videos that reminded her of him. Meg was a former waitress at the Rosy Hours, having joined at the age of eighteen to earn some extra cash to spend in college. Their personalities clashed rather often, but they grew to understand each other near the end of Meg’s stay. Moreover, he needed to thank her, as it was Meg who introduced the Rosy Hours to Christine in the first place.
Meg Giry
Hey Erik, Christine’s heading your way. She’s not doing too good. I tried to persuade her to stay with me but she refused. Please take good care of her.
Well, if he was confused then, he was concerned now. Christine? Out by herself? At this hour? How is she going to get here? The subway? No, the last train must’ve left by now. Walking? Out of the question, the streets at night are not safe for women. Driving? It’s dangerous to drive when one’s distraught.
Tossing the dish towel onto the counter, Erik raced into Nadir’s office. He grabbed his wool overcoat from the coat rack, shrugging it on as he made his way to the front door of Rosy Hours. Outside, snow continued to fall, and the blanket of white seemed to have deepened a few inches while he was indoors. Erik felt his stomach drop. Harsh weather and a volatile mood were a dangerous combination on the road—he knew that better than anyone.
But then he remembered something else: Christine didn’t expect to see him outside, and he had no reason to be there other than to see her the moment she arrived. To appear nonchalant, he leaned against the pillar and started scrolling aimlessly through his phone, all the while stealing glances at the passing cars.
He didn’t have to wait long. An all too familiar car came to a stop across the street, and he dashed across the bricks and asphalt before the door even swung open. Hesitating for but a second, he bent down and knocked gently on the window.
“Christine?”
Through the glass, he watched as her shoulders tensed, her hands tightening on the steering wheel. Her head bowed, brown curls blocking her face. She was not looking in his direction at all.
“Christine, are you alright? I— I’m concerned about you.”
At his words, her body slumped against the driver’s seat, her hands dropping from the steering wheel. Slowly, as if in a trance, she unbuckled her seatbelt and reached for the door handle. But Erik was a step ahead, opening the door and holding it for her, his hand extended to offer assistance.
Grasping his hand, Christine stepped out of the vehicle, Erik shutting the door behind her. His hands had grown cold from standing in the snow, but what surprised him was that Christine’s hand felt just as icy. Giving her a once-over, he realized she was only wearing a turtleneck and jeans, with no jacket in sight. Without a word, he removed his overcoat and draped it over her shoulders. Then, wrapping an arm around her, he guided her across the street.
“Erik, what about you?” Christine asked, attempting to shrug off the coat, but the arm around her held the warm fabric snug against her.
“Don’t worry about me. What matters most right now is your well-being.” He replied, the two coming to a stop near the front porch of the bar. Under the entrance lighting, Erik could see Christine’s face much more clearly, including her flushed cheeks and red-rimmed eyes. This will not do. “My uh… my apartment is directly above the bar, and it should be warmer and more comfortable there. Just give me a moment to lock up, and then we can head upstairs.”
———
Erik learned more about Christine that night than he had in the past four months combined.
As soon as they entered his apartment, he gently seated her on the sofa and went to the kitchen to prepare her usual drink, concerned that she might have gotten too cold outside. Holding a warm cocktail in one hand and a glass of whiskey in the other, he sat down beside her and waited patiently until she was ready to talk about what had happened.
And oh did she talk. Before, she rarely spoke about her personal life, focusing mainly on their shared interests in theater and music. Now, she was telling him about how her father's music career influenced her, recounting his passing just before her high school graduation, and expressing her growing doubts about the opportunities she had received throughout her life.
“Do you remember the modeling gig I got a few months ago? The one with that jewelry brand?”
“Of course. I saw the final poster in a metro station and other places around the city too. Why do you ask?”
“Well,” Christine sniffed, fresh tears streaming down her face, “apparently Raoul’s older sister convinced them to hire me. They probably weren’t even going to move forward with me had she not persuaded them. Now I’m wondering if they were the ones that gave Carlotta’s role to me, and if that’s true, do I even deserve it? Maybe I never even had the necessary skills to perform in the first place!”
She was crying in earnest now. Her chest heaved with sobs, and Erik’s heart constricted at the sight of his love reduced to tears. His hand hovered in the air between them, and he wasn’t sure if he was about to cross some forbidden boundaries between a single bartender and an engaged actress, but soon he was cupping her face in his hands and thumbing away her tears, wrapping his arms around her and letting her cry on his shoulder, whispering how wonderful her voice, her acting— just how wonderful and perfect she is as a person.
Eventually, perhaps it was out of pure exhaustion or the emotional toll or the tears, but by around half past four, Christine was sound asleep. Her head had somehow found its place in his lap, a few lingering tears rolling freely down the contours of her face. The confidence Erik once felt in embracing her had faded, and now his hand was once again hovering near her shoulder, unsure of what to do. Ayesha, who had been hiding in his bedroom from the presence of a stranger, finally decided to emerge, gazing up at Christine with wide-eyed curiosity.
“Shhhh.” Erik pressed a finger to his lips. “We wouldn’t want to disturb her rest now, darling. Would you do me a favor and keep her company for tonight?”

Part 1
Tumblr media
"You know you boys look amazing in an apron." You wolf whistled at them both. Billy acted annoyed but he secretly loved the attention. Stu shook his ass at you making you laugh. Stu offered to do the dishes but for some odd reason they both fought over who would do them. Now there they stood aprons covering thier clothes. You and Stu practically had to hold down Billy as you tied the strings around him.
"I'll fix the popcorn!" You cheered hearing a groan from both men. "We just ate please..." Stu whined holding his stomach. "You two are party poopers. Well, while you do the dishes I'm going to change into my pajamas." Both their heads snapped towards you. "And I'm locking my door." You shouted down the hall.
You weren't really sure what to wear. You didn't want to draw unnecessary attention to yourself but in a way you did. They had girlfriends you knew that. The way they looked at you however was addicting. You weren't going to sleep with them so what's the harm in looking good? A voice in your head screamed male validation but you ignored that. You pulled the silky nightgown from your closet debating on wearing it. "Too obvious." You muttered putting it back in the closet.
Leaning your head out of your room you shouted. "How cold is it supposed to get tonight?" Within seconds you hear them both answer. "Very cold, extremely cold, even freezing, it might snow." You know damn well in the air of California it wasn't going to snow. You grabbed a pair of silky shorts and pulled out the matching top. That would have to do. Once you were changed you went back to the kitchen seeing the dishes were all done. "Thank you guys."
"Thank you for dinner." Billy said honestly. "Yeah what he said." Stu was laid out on the carpet as Billy glared at him. "Anytime boys." Stu looked at your new outfit trying to figure out how you looked so hot in pajamas. "Why didn't you wear what Bil- what we got you?" He corrected himself. You plopped down on the couch next to Billy. "Because I knew if I did, you two wouldn't want to watch a movie." Stu nodded as he shrugged knowing you were right. "Who said I wanted to watch a movie now?" Billy said dangerously close to your ear. You jumped up going towards the TV. "Alright! What are we watching first?"
Christine was pretty good, not as good as Stu made it out to be though. "The coolest car ever!" Stu shouted which you quickly shushed him. "I don't live out in the country like some people, keep your voice down." Stu covered his mouth in regret. "Yeah Stu keep your voice down." Billy repeated and you slapped his chest. "Ow!" He laughed. "My turn, put on Ferris Bueller's day off." Stu groaned sliding off the couch and over to the VCR.
"You'll love it. If you liked Dazed and Confused you'll like this." Billy cocked his head. "You never told me you liked that movie?" Stu ignored his friend's eyes focusing on the tape. "I saw it once." He played it off which confused you. "Once? You said you went to see it at the movies 4 times." Stu silently begged for you to shut up. "You never told me that." Billy said once again a calmness to his voice. "I'm sorry. I didn't think you'd care." Stu bit back. "What else are you not telling me?" You realized very quickly this could get worse somehow. "God you two fight like a married couple. Just put the movie in and get up here I'm freezing."
The arguing stopped immediately. Once the movie started Stu sat at the end on the sofa leaving you in the middle. Carefully you wiggled down laying your head on Billy's lap. "This doesn't bother you does it?" His eyes glanced down and back up again just as fast. "No you're good." Stu grabbed your legs laying them on his lap. Ever so often he'd drag his hands up and down your legs mindlessly. After a while he genuinely started to like the movie. "Those two are so banging."
"That's what I was thinking." Billy responded to Stu. "You think Ferris and Cameron are a couple?" Stu made a noise shaking his head. "Did you see the way they look at each other or how no matter what bullshit Ferris drags him into he goes along with it?" The room grew silent with a unanimous acknowledgment of the current similarity. The movie continued and so did Stu's commentary. "Oh no, all three of them are fucking." You laughed and Billy took notice. "What's so funny about that?"
"Oh nothing it's just I can see it." The movie continued with Stu laughing his ass off at some parts. Billy's hand found it's way into your hair playing with what he could grab. Slowly your eyes fell shut. "She reminds me of you almost." Stu said turning to look at you. "Man she's asleep." Stu loudly announced, annoyed you both didn't finish the movie. Billy looked down watching your chest slowly go in and out. "Then why are you yelling?" Billy snapped. "Sorry." The boy mumbled. "Cut all this off while I take her upstairs."
"Why do you get to put her to bed she barley even trusts you awake?" This Billy found particularly funny. "That's rich coming from the guy that's done nothing but hit on her since you met her." Stu moved your legs standing up off the couch. "I do that with everyone it's charming." He laughed until he saw the way Billy was looking down at you. "Why do I get the feeling I'm being replaced?" Stu paced on the shag carpet. Billy sighed not wanting this shit right now. "We'll talk about this later."
"No I think we'll talk about it now. A year ago you came to me in need and I did everything I could to help. It was month after month of "I was drunk" or "I don't even remember it." I put up with it hoping once this was all said and done with, we'd run away and have our sequel. That was the plan wasn't it Billy?" You wavered in and out of consciousness barley piecing together what was being said. "She's different Stu and you know that. You feel it too. I need time to think to plan around this." He looked down at you noticing your eyes twitch. "We'll talk about this later."
Stu knew that was the end of the conversation. "Y/n..." He gingerly whispered trying to wake you up. "Mhm?" You stirred swearing they were fighting. "What's wrong?" You asked trying to look around. "Nothing's wrong we were trying to figure out if we should pause the movie or not. I'm going to take you to bed and me and Stu will head there shortly." You just rolled over burying your head against his stomach. Billy slowly moved off the couch, picking you up bridal style. Stu followed making sure Billy followed your rules.
Billy placed you softly in bed hoping to just look at you for a bit. "If it's too cold on the floor you can climb in here." You mumbled. You weren't in your right mind Billy knew that and so did Stu. That wasn't stopping them however. "Go cut the lights and everything off then bring your bag up here." Stu like the good little soldier he was, he did as told.
"Here." He handed Billy his sweat pants. "We're sleeping in our shirts." Billy said as he unbuckled his belt. "What why? We never sleep with our shirts on." Billy folded his pants sitting them on the chair in the corner. "Because if she wakes up and sees us half naked beside her she's liable to freak thinking we did something. So please, just do as as I say for once." Stu had to give Billy this one. He was the smartest piece of shit in town.
Stu was the first one in bed with you. Making you roll over and wrap your arm around him. "Billy look!" He whispered like you were a cat in a cute position. You tossed your leg over him next making it impossible for him to move. "Billy help! Her feet are fucking freezing!" He whispered once more earing a laugh from Billy. "She looks so peaceful doesn't she?" He taunted as Stu struggled against your restraints. Before getting into bed Billy cut off the light making the house seem earily dark.
Billy climbed in, his back towards you and Stu. Without warning you rolled over putting Billy in the same position Stu was. "She makes a good big spoon don't you think?" He taunted back but deep down Billy had never felt more comfortable. "Shut the fuck up." He mumbled holding your hand that rested over his waist. His thumb traced little circles on you hand. Stu scooted behind you. He snuggled up knowing damn well all three of you would wake up in a cold sweat from just being around each other all night. "Goodnight boys." Your voice was dangerously clear. Stu was already half asleep but Billy however heard you. He wasn't sure how much you knew but he'd have to quickly figure it out.

Taking care // Jessie Fleming
kinda pt. 2 of Protective Moms
Tumblr media
a/n: based off this request.
"Tobs, I can walk on my own" you whined, the striker supporting you. "I have broken nose, nothing more"
"And a serious concussion"
You grumbled but you had no other choice, Tobin wouldn‘t leave your side until your body was laid down in your bed. "Can I at least have my phone back?"
"Ask Christen"
Back at your room you laid down, Tobs placed a glass of water on your nightstand before she tucked you under the duvet. "How shall I ask her when she isn’t here?"
"That‘s not my problem, we‘ll check up on you later." the forward then left the room, ready to go to training. (She tried to tell the coach that she had to watch you and take care of you but as soon as you heard that you argued with her, that you‘re old enough, etc. which she only half-heartedly accepted)
A long sigh left your throat.
-
"Jess is pretty amazing, isn‘t she?" you smiled as you went to breakfast with Chris and Tobs. "She‘s alright" said Tobin while Christen answered, "She’s such a sweetheart." As you had your breakfast on your plate you walked towards the table where Sonnett, Kelley and Alex sat. Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through your head, it throbbed and spun then went black. You passed out.
Everything seemed fine so far, your nose was broken but otherwise nothing to notice from the concussion. Yesterday, Chris, Tobin, Jess and you were out for a 'parents meet kids girlfriend' date and you were your usual self.
Well, until now. The plate shattered across the floor, your body hitting the floor with a 'humpf'. Christen was the first by your side, rapidly and firmly patting your cheek, with no luck in waking you - you were knocked out while Tobin ran around the hotel searching for someone from the physio team, a doc, anyone.
-
That‘s how you ended up for the rest of the day and the next few days in your bed with no phone and no remote to turn the tv on, strict guidelines: Rest, rest, rest! Tobin took the doc very serious, she wouldn‘t risk more damage. The little meet up with your girl was already to much after the knock from Chapman. Even though the moms where at training they made sure you had everything, a bottle of water beside your bed and painkillers next to it, just in case.
Meanwhile Jess was going crazy. Why hadn‘t you replied to her texts? Did the moms forbid you to contact her? Oh god, they didn‘t like her?! She tried to call you over and over, your phone ringing in Chris‘ bag as she was doing drills with her team mates.
"You good, Jess?" Sinc asked the young canadian as she saw how she was biting her lip nervously, her fingers playing with the hem of her hoodie.
"Huh? Yeah! I‘m fine" the midfielder replied. She wasn't convincing so Sinc took a seat beside her. She nudged the shoulder of the young canadian, silently asking what‘s wrong. "She isn‘t answering" she admitted, her ears turning red, "the only text she sent was a good morning which was hours ago"
"So? Maybe she‘s at training?"
"No, no. She has to be in bed because of her concussion"
"Well then, maybe she‘s sleeping" the older woman tried to ease Jessie‘s mind but with no success, she could see that her brain was working on high speed, trying to figure out what‘s wrong. "I just feel like something is off, you know? Like something happened."
The only thing Christine could do now was support her, "If you think someting is off then go to her." a big smile spread across the face of the small canadian "you think?"
"If you don‘t, you have to wait until she answers"
-
Knocking on your door, Jess was nervous. Shortly after her talk with Sinc the midfielder went to your hotel, it took her some time but she made it. She didn‘t know why she was nervous, you were her girlfriend after all yet the thought of an angry Tobin Heath opening the door was scary. Her knock wasn‘t too loud, she didn‘t want to make your headache worse though the knock was loud enough to be heard. "Hello?" you rasped out as you opened the door. "Hi" your girl said, shuffling with her feet.
"What‘re you doing here?" you looked down the hall before you pulled her in to her room. "You didn‘t answer my texts" you chuckled as you placed yourself back on the bed. "I don‘t have my phone," patting the spot next to you to signal her she should join you. "Why?" She asked, taking her shoes off, joining you. Immediately, your head rested on her chest as her arms wrapped around you. "Chris has it and the remote as well. I‘m so bored, you can‘t even imagine," you stated, melting in the embrace of your lover. "I get that, baby, but why?" While lips were pressed against your forehead, you answered, "strict doc rules 'cause I passed out. Tobin is being overprotective" in to her chest, slowly getting tired. The whole day, you‘d been laying around, doing nothing yet couldn‘t sleep but with your lovers arms around the tiredness started to set in. "You passed out?" The midfielder asked shocked, she knew something was off. "Yeah, i‘m alright though, just need to rest" your eyes shutting at the end of your sentence. "I love you" was the last thing you said before you fell in to deep slumber.
Freshly showered, the team got back to the hotel, Chris and Tobs already on her way to your room. As they opened the door and stepped in to the room, they could see the brunette you were hugging, both of you deep and fast asleep. Christen laughed softly; the two of you couldn‘t be away from each other. Even Tobin smiled, seeing you like this. Normally, she would have gone all protective but something in her was telling her that she was seeing the right thing, Jess was the right 'thing'
"They‘re adorable" said person stated, slinging her arm around the dark haired women who could only agree.
Sleeping in your lovers arms will always be the best kind of recovery.

Once More (II)
A/N: Thank you for your patience! I hope you enjoy. Next update should (hopefully) come quicker.
Word Count: 2k
Warnings: None
Masterlist & Playlist
Tumblr media
You woke up with a start. You sat up, immediately reaching for your data pad. The stardate reads the same as yesterday - Thursday.
This was real. This was happening. You sat up in your bed, mind reeling over the events of the last few days.
Flicking on your data pad you made notes of everything you could remember. Uneventful morning shift, Ensign Sigala would offer you a cup of coffee, lunch would be spent with quickly and alone, the anomaly, drinks with Uhura and Ortegas, the turbolift with Spock.
Spock.
You needed to find Spock.
Quickly, you got dressed, nearly falling over as you gathered yourself for the day. You quickly grabbed your data pad, now making notes about all the information you had managed to gather from the anomaly.
You were still typing away as you made your way out of your quarters. If you could just lock on to the anomaly as it was happening you’d be able to figure out more. Why today? Why only you and Spock?
You looked up from your data pad as you rounded the corner. Spock was there talking to Nurse Chapel. They both looked directly at you.
You faltered at your pace. Why- did she?
“There you are!”
You turned to see Ensign Sigala coming towards you. He wore a bashful smile as he held out coffee for you.
“I wanted to make sure you had your morning cup,” He was smiling kindly at you, you tried your best to return the smile.
“Oh, thank you, Ensign,” you managed to choke out.
You felt his presence rigid behind you before you heard him speak. “Lieutenant L/N, Nurse Chapel and I need your presence in sickbay.”
You looked between Spock and the Ensign managing one more small thank you before following Spock towards sickbay.
“How did you -”
“You requested that I find you sooner,” Spock made no motion to look at you as you followed him into sickbay.
“Alright, Spock, what is going on?” Christine crossed her arms over her chest, her eyes looking between the both of you.
You glanced at Spock before you stepped forward, “Christine, you’re never going to believe this,” you paused, “But I’m really going to need you to try.”
“Okay, now I’m just more concerned,” she dropped her eyes and moved closer towards you.
“Spock and I, well we -”
“We appear to be relieving the same day,” Spock added.
Christine just gaped at the two of you. “What - you mean-”
“Everyday is Thursday,” you sighed.
“I believe we have completed the same loop twice, this being the third.”
“How did this start?” Christine prompted, leaning backwards against one of the medical tables.
“The anomaly-” you both say flatly.
“And then it ends with the turbolift,” you swallowed, “We both sort of plummet to our death and then wake up again.”
“And have we had this conversation before?” She asked, her head tilting a bit to the side.
“No, this is our first conversation,” Spock added. “I wanted to inquire if it is possible to determine any abnormalities between Lieutenant L/N and I. This could help us to understand why only she and I have been repeating the day.”
Christine simply nodded, picking up the tricorder, “Alright, well I don’t see anything out of the ordinary.” She paused making her way to a table. “Maybe if we -”
Christine's eyes went wide, her hand reaching out to clutch her throat.
“Christine!” you yelled as Spock reached out to help her. Christine simply fell to the floor, life quickly leaving her eyes.
Your own throat grew tight, you tried to will air into your lungs but you couldn’t catch your breath. Desperately you looked at Spock, your hand reaching out to him before your knees buckled out from underneath you.
“What….” you gasped, “Is….happening?” Spock caught you by the arms before you could hit the floor. His distressed eyes searched yours.
“I do not understand,” he breathed out, his own breaths growing more shallow. He held onto your arms as you both sank to the floor.
Your breathing grew more shallow as spots began to fill your vision. You have died twice now, this your third. Still, the fear had not left you. Only the feeling of Spock’s embrace tethered you.
“Spock,” you whispered before your vision went dark once more.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You woke up gasping, your hand reaching for your throat as you sat up in bed.
“What the hell?” you bit out. You threw the blankets off your bed and quickly got dressed.
You opened your door walking towards the direction of the bridge. You bumped into Ensign Sigala who nearly spilled the coffee all over himself.
“L/N, I’m so sorry! I wanted to-”
“Not now Sigala, sorry!” you yelled out as you broke into a run. You felt breathless as you ran. You just needed to get to him. You could calm down once your eyes met his.
You turned a corner to see Spock ready to walk onto the bridge. Quickly, you grabbed him by the sleeve and led him to a maintenance shaft.
You stood directly in front of him. There was little space between you both. Your breathing came rapidly, your nerves and anxiety becoming newly unbearable.
“What the hell was that?” you questioned, your eyes finding his. You almost took a step back, he looked tired. You didn’t think it was possible for Spock to look anything other than pristine.
“I….do not know,” he managed to say, his eyes never leaving yours.
“Why would that happen to Christine? I thought we only reset in the turbolift, but what if-” you stammered, “I don’t understand any of this.”
You rubbed your face in frustration, anger and tears mixing together as your emotions boiled over the surface. You tried to steady yourself, crying wouldn’t help either one of you now.
You could see the look of fear on Christine’s face, shock and confusion in her final expression. You closed your eyes, squeezing them shut.
“We must continue to try and determine what is causing the anomaly.” Spock spoke gently as if trying to help ground you.
Your eyes flicked to him, frustration clear across your face. “What do you suggest?”
“We can attempt to discuss this with the Captain and the bridge.” Spock’s expression was unreadable. There was something there - a lingering expression in his eyes that spoke of more than just exhaustion.
“Okay,” you replied, your eyes downcast. “After you,” you signaled. Spock held your gaze for a beat more before straightening his posture and walking towards the bridge.
You walked together silently as the bridge doors opened.
“Ah, Spock there you are.” Captain Pike smiled warmly, “And Lieutenant L/N, this is a bit of a surprise. To what do we owe the honor?”
“Captain, if we may speak in private?” Spock stepped forward. Captain Pike gave him a questioning gaze. “Number One, the bridge is yours.”
You both followed the Captain to his quarters. Your own anxiety began to flare up as Captain Pike leaned back against his ready room table.
“Alright, which one of you wants to tell me what’s going on?”
“We’re stuck in some sort of time loop,” you quickly said.
“Excuse me?” Captain Pike spared you both a questioning look.
“We have repeated the events of the day three times.”
“I got that part Spock - I mean what is causing this to happen?”
“I’m not sure,” you added, “last time we tried to figure out a medical reason Christine and I - we sort of choked to death. Every time before that Spock and I fell to our deaths in a turbolift.”
“We believe it has something to do with the anomaly that has been intercepting our scanners,” Spock spared a glance at you before turning his attention back to Captain Pike.
“The storm?” Pike reasoned.
“Yes, Sir,” you breathed out.
“Have we had this conversation before?” Pike was giving you both his full attention now.
“No, but we -”
“Captain Pike to the bridge!” Number One’s voice cried out through the intercom. “All crew prepare for a red alert!”
“What-”
All three of you were jostled to the side as the Enterprise lurched forward. A sickening groaning sound filled the room.
You fumbled around for your data pad, your eyes looking at the current readings of the warp core. “It’s a core meltdown, we’re losing the antimatter containment. If we don’t eject the core…”
Captain Pike looked at you both, “Has this-”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You sat up quickly, your hand clutching your chest. You knew what had happened of course, the core breach had occurred, leaving the Enterprise to explode.
You quickly got dressed, not caring for your appearance or data pad. You simply marched out of your door, avoiding by instinct everyone in your way.
“L/N, I brought-”
“Not now, Sigala,” you grumbled before making your way to Spock. You found him as you did before waiting for you in front of the bridge doors.
He opened his mouth to speak, but you simply waved him off, “Let’s just get this over with.”
“Ah, Spock there you are.” Captain Pike smiled warmly, “And Lieutenant L/N, this is a bit of a surprise. To what do we owe the honor?”
You let out an annoyed breath, Spock remained neutral.
“Captain if we may-”
“We need to talk to you, Captain, in private. La’an, you can come too,” you added making your way out the doors.
You could feel everyone on the bridge looking at you, but you could not find the will to care.
“Apologies, Captain, but Lieutenant L/N, is correct.”
“Alright”, Captain Pike managed to get out. Wordlessly, you followed Captain Pike to his ready room.
“Which one of you wants to tell me what’s going on?” Pike looked between the three of you, but La’an simply shrugged in confusion.
“We wake up everyday, living the same day. We live, we die, we do it again,” you grumbled out.
“I’m sorry?” La’an, narrowed her eyes at you in confusion.
“I don’t know how I can make this more clear,” you sighed, rubbing the temples of your forehead. You could feel Spock’s eyes on you, but he made no move to correct your behavior.
“We believe it has to do with the anomaly, with the storm it is quite possible we are experiencing a Cauchy Horizon.”
“What have you done so far?” Pike questioned.
“We have spoken with Nurse Chapel, to her demise, and to you, Captain, to the demise of the whole crew.”
“What exactly do you mean by demise?” La’an crossed her arms over her chest.
“Christine and I choke to death and the Enterprise has a core meltdown,” you whispered half heartedly.
“And prior to-”
“Captain Pike to the bridge!” Number One’s voice cried out through the intercom. “All crew prepare for a red alert!”
“Oh, come on!” you yelled, throwing your hands up in exasperation. You didn’t wait to go through the motions, simply closing your eyes and waiting for the flash.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You both attempted ten more times. Ten more deaths of the Enterprise crew where the ship either had a core meltdown, a breach in the hull, or a gas leak.
Every attempt you made drove you more and more to madness.
You needed a break. You needed to just go through a loop without watching all of your friends die.
You didn’t bother putting on your uniform, opting for more comfortable clothing. You slowly made your way towards Spock.
“L/N, I have-”
“Thanks, Sigala,” you mumbled, taking the coffee and walking in the opposite direction.
You shuffled over to the bridge, where Spock looked at you questioningly. He, like you, had grown to look more disheveled as the loops continued. His usual pristine Vulcan appearance was growing more weary.
“I think we can take a loop,” you sighed. “Don’t you?”
He looked at you, really looked at you. “What do you have in mind?”
“Oh, I got a couple ideas.”
You swore you almost saw his mouth twitch in a smile, “Lead the way,” he started borrowing the term from you.
You smiled widely back at him. Yeah, you both deserved a loop, maybe two.

My Fathers Daughter pt 10
A different perspective
Tumblr media
Dick Grayson has always been used to being the first.
He was the first Robin, the first son, the first to be picked for almost anything.
Hell he was the first child as far as he knew. So imagine his surprise when he finds out his mother not only has a whole secret daughter, but one that she completely abandoned.
He could still hardly believe it.
He couldn't stop thinking about the night they found out about her. The look on Christine's face, it was one he's never seen before. The look of shock and almost disbelief, like she had seen a ghost.
In a way she did.
The ghost of the life she left behind with Tony and Y/n Stark. Now Christine was trying so desperately to revive it. As if she didn't murder it with her own hands. And while Dick himself had reservations with these actions, Christine was his mother before anything, and he was going to help her no matter what.
So here he was, standing outside the bedroom of his mothers long lost daughter, trying to figure out something to say. It shouldn't be too hard, seeing as Jason of all people managed to get you to open up.
And yet, here he is. Unable to muster up the courage to simply knock on the door.
"This is fucking ridiculous", Dick thinks to himself, "Just knock, what's the worst that can happen?"
Lost in his own thoughts, Dick didn't notice the shadow under the door, and was startled by the sudden swing of it opening and you standing there.
"I can hear your thinking over my music." You said a little annoyed," Is there something I can do for you or...?"
Dick blinked trying to gather all of his thoughts, he really didn't know what to say to you. This is the first time you've said more than three syllables to him.
You stared back, face revealing how uncomfortable you were getting with this prolonged eye contact.
"Riiiight, so im just gonna" You say taking steps to shut the door in his face
"Wait!" The raven haired man shouts, "Wait, please."
You stop with a sigh and open the door, inviting him in, " Alright, come on."
Dick walks in, looking around at the room that actually used to be his when he first moved in.
He mentions as much trying to break the awkward silence.
"Hm, and you were okay staying in a room that was copied from a dracula movie?" You say snarkily
"Well to be fair I was 12 and watched my parents die in front of me, I wasn't really looking at the decor." He says half joking.
You made a face and looked away, feeling even more awkward.
"Anyways, I just wanted to you know...see how you were settling in" Dick starts, " Its been a few months and it feels like we hardly even see you."
You pause, thinking of what to say. But before you even have a chance to say anything Dick continues.
"You know, moms really excited that you're here." He starts, " Honestly I don't think I've ever seen her this excited over anything. She's usually very level headed."
You stare at him
"I mean, you know how she is I suppose she is your mother too."
You stare
"I know she probably really missed you, she gets lonely sometimes you know? Everyone here usually has their own thing going on and we don't really get to see her as much."
Nothing from you
" Well, I guess she see's Damian more than any of us but that's because he's basically her baby."
Okay...that hurt
"I mean, I think he was the youngest when he came to use, I think he was like nine or something. And he was not the easiest to get along with. So don't worry that he hasn't warmed up to you yet."
You hum, already irritated with this conversation.
"He's also really protective of our mom, she's done alot to make sure their relationship is as good as it is." he says offhandedly, " Actually she's done it for all of us."
"Oh really?" You ask with no real intrest.
"Yeah! I remember one time when I was little she always made it a point to spend time with me even though she was so busy." He says fondly.
You decide to play along and remince on the memories that you buried long ago.
"You know, when I was younger, Christine used to take me out of school and take me to see ballet shows." You say with a slight smile, " I was in classes back then and loved watching the older girls dance."
Dick smiled, feeling as if he made some progress with you, " Really? I think she actually takes Cassie and Steph to those sometimes, you should ask to tag along I'm sure she'll love it."
You cringe, feeling another needle in your heart. Not even your memerioes were sacred.
"Yeah no thanks." You reply harshly, " I don't like ballet anymore."
Dick pauses, shocked at the sudden shift in atmosphere.
"I--"
And before he can say anything you cut him off, feigning a yawn
"Hey look, not that I don't love our little chats, but I am beat."
"Oh! right, sorry I guess it is getting a bit late.."Dick say hopping up from your bed and walking to the door, " Y/n, you know its really nice talking to you. You should try and open up more."
You smile sarcastically, " you know, something you and mother have in common is that you both like talking at me, not to me."
And with that you shut the door, promptly ending the conversation and sending Dick spiraling.
In fact, the statement bothered him so much that he went seeking a second opinion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Yeah... I don't know how to help you man."
"Oh come on! Jason, you and her are like...bosom buddies or something."
"Bosom buddies? How old are you?" Jason scoffs, " Look, what you and everyone here doesn't understand is that Y/n has a family waiting for her. She's not going to except mom as her mom because her mom is still alive and well."
"But...technically our mom is her mom." Dick says hesitantly, " And if I were her I'd be thrilled to have my mom back."
"Dick. Your mom didn't abandon you for a different family." Jason says annoyed he's not getting it, "What the hell is wrong with you, you're usually so level headed about this stuff?"
Dick pauses.
To be honest he doesn't know why he's being so hard headed about the whole situation.
He knows that he doesn't like seeing his mother sad, and lately seeing her face when you reject every move she maked to make amends is heartbreaking to him.
That was his mother. The woman who took him in as her own when his biological parents died.
The same woman that stayed by his side no matter how moody, rude, and bratty he first acted when he first arrived. She took his grief on as her own and basically put him back together along with Bruce. He can still remember the night he considered her his mother.
He had just started out as Robin, and had just got back from patrol. It was a rough night.
First, it was the middle of autumn and raining heavily, he and Bruce weren't getting along this particular night and he overall was just having a bad night. So needless to day he was a little rougher with the baddies he was fighting tonight.
Bruce had already reprimanded him throughout the night about his unnecessary force but Dick did not want to hear it. It got so bad that Dick was just going off own his own without Batmans orders, and thats where the trouble began.
Dick had jumped the gun again, throwing himself into a fight with some drug dealers , not realizing that there were one too many for a fourteen year old to handle by himself. They quickly overpowered him, and ganged up on the poor boy.
He was given quite the beating before Batman caught up to him and basically saved him.
In pain and with a bruised ego, he had to listen to yet another lecture from the irritated (actually extremely worried) dark knight, and one from Alfred who was also extremely worried while he cleaned up the child.
He has finally marched to his room in a huff and after he shut the door, was finally able to reveal in the fact that he almost died. He was lost in thought, finally feeling the fear and pain in every move he made as he tried to crawl under the covers when he heard a knock on the door.
In she came, with a tray of goodies she personally made,staying home from a business trip he had known she was going to go on. She crawled into the bed with him, held him to her chest and allowed him to cry.
"You may be a big brave superhero" She said to him, " But here in this home, you're my son. My baby, and you are allowed to cry if you need to. I won't judge you. I won't say a word."
And he did. He cried.
He cried because he was hurting. He cried because he was angry. Angry because he was beat up. Because he was lectured all night. Because he missed his parents.
But most of all, because he felt as if he was forgetting them. He was having such a good time at the Wayne manor, grew to love the Waynes as the parents they intended to be to him. He felt as if he was betraying his parents. The parents that had raised him up to that point.
And here he was, laying cuddled up to Christine the same way he would with his mother. But at this point the two of them are blurring together, to the point where he can't tell where his mother ends and Christine starts.
This woman, took him in and wrapped him in love.
Love that he thought he would never feel again after that tragic night.
A love that, he honestly cannot imagine never having.
It was something that he couldn't begin to repay her. He wouldn't know how. Where to start.
Rekindling his mother with the daughter she lost. Gave up.
That was the least he could do. He'd do it for her.
But, after the conversation he had with Jason, he went home and thought about it. Actually really thought about it.
The year he came into the Wayne's lives, Christine stopped going on her business trips.
Not all at once, but she would push them back.
Usually because Dick had needed her.
She pushed her trips back until eventually, she just stopped going.
She hadn't said much, just saying that she realized that she was needed at home more than they needed her over there. But even at that age, Dick noticed she was sad. She kept her composure around the family, but once Dick had seen her crying in a pantry deleting something off her phone.
He had thought it was weird but after a few months she was okay.
No crying, no sadness.
And... now that he thinks about it. While he was being wrapped up in love there was another child in New York, who's life was being completely unraveled. All because of him.
And maybe...the reason he was trying so hard to rekindle you and Christine wasn't really because of Christine.
But because since that night, the night you were revealed to be her daughter, he did the math. And he just wanted to give you back the mother he unknowingly stole away from you.
Change is Never Easy
Summary: The two of you called it quits a month or so ago...and then Y/n faints during a shift. Change is never easy.
Pairing: Surgeon!Strange x Fem!Nurse!Reader
Warning(s): ex-lovers, exes to lovers(?), fainting, unexpected pregnancy
Tumblr media
The atmosphere at General-Metro had quickly become thick with tensions ever since the breakup. Dr Stephen Strange and Nurse Y/n L/n had officially called it quits a few weeks ago, and the lingering awkwardness between them was impossible to ignore.
Navigating the hallways was like tiptoeing through an emotional minefield.
Y/n, nursing her wounded heart, did her best to keep up appearances during her shifts. She tried to focus on her tasks and avoid any unnecessary encounters with Stephen.
The air of the hospital was constantly charged with unspoken words and unresolved emotions; and the slightest interaction left both of the medical professionals on edge.
On one fateful day, while Y/n was basking in her lunch-break, the build up of the emotional strain proved too much. In the break-room, surrounded by the hum of vending machines and the distant chatter of her coworkers, Y/n collapsed.
Panicked voices echoed through the room as her coworkers rushed to her aid.
---
The current events of Stephen Strange's ex did not reach him until later on in the day, courtesy of one Christine Palmer, who had intercepted him in the bustling hallway.
"Stephen, have you gone to check on Ella? Something happened to her during her shift, and I haven't had to opportunity to see her yet," Christine whispered urgently, concern etched into her voice.
Stephen's brow furrowed in confusion. "What? No, I haven't. Is she alright?"
Christine briefly briefed him on the situation before she got paged to another emergency, prompting Stephen to abandon his current path and seek out Y/n.
When he found her, lying down in a quiet corner of the hospital, seemingly alright, the relief on his face was undeniable.
Slowly walking over to her, he brushed a stray hair out of her face. "What happened to you?" Concern prominent in his voice as he dragged a chair over.
With a flutter of her eyes and a shaky smile, Y/n greeted him. "Hey, Stephen. I don't really know what happened. I just felt incredibly dizzy, and then everything went black for a moment. I'm probably just dehydrated, I'm sure everything is fine."
Stephen raised his eyebrows, and his professional instincts kicked in. "People don't just faint for no reason, Y/n. I'm going to order a few tests to make sure."
Before calling in others, Stephen quickly did an examination, asking her about her symptoms and taking note of her vitals.
As Stephen focused on the exam, Y/n couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia. Their interactions were once filled with warmth and familiarity. Now, they were tainted by the awkwardness that hung in the air like a heavy cloud.
She was broken from her thoughts by Stephen's sigh of relief. "Physically, you seem find. I'm still getting other tests done to be thorough."
Y/n nodded, appreciating the concern emanating from her ex-lover. "Thanks, Stephen. I appreciate it."
---
It was probably about fourty-five minutes later when Stephen was given Y/n's test results. His eyes scanned the report, his expression changing from professional concern to surprise. Y/n, being curious and anxious about what he had seen, couldn't help up speak up.
"Stephen, what is it? What's on the report? Am I okay?" she pressed, her eyes searching his chiseled face for answers.
Taking a moment to compose himself, Stephen finally spoke, his voice a mix of disbelief and realisation. "Y/n, you're...pregnant."
Time seemed to still as the revelation hung in the air. Y/n's eyes widened, mirroring Stephen's astonishment. The awkwardness of their recent breakup was momentarily forgotten as they processed this unexpected twist of fate.
"Pregnant?" Y/n repeated, the word feeling foreign on her lips. "But we were careful?"
Stephen's mind raced, still processing the news. "Well, it seems we have to blame the twisted mind of the universe for this."
Lipstick Stains - Pt. 11
previous chapter | next chapter | series page
Larissa Weems x fem!reader
summary: Larissa meets your roommates - and a phone call manages to sour your evening.
words: ~4.3k | ao3 link in title
A/N: sorry for the long wait (again) 💀 really struggled with this for some reason but to make up for it, chapter 12 is complete already and will be posted soon (and will feature our darlings going on their super slutty trip <3). until then, hope you enjoy and that it turned out okay! <3
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Larissa felt so safe and so warm in your arms that she’d ended up falling asleep; her head on your chest, her feet dangling off the end of the couch, your arms snug around her waist. The slamming of the front door woke her with a start, and she buried her head into your chest, thinking perhaps that if she willed the world around her to fade away, it would. No such luck - footsteps approached the living room and a vaguely familiar voice came closer and closer.
“Hey, are we still- oh. Shit. Sorry!”
Larissa tightened her grip on you as she felt you shift beneath her, feeling the vibrations of your voice in your chest against her cheek.
“Do you always have to be so loud?” you complained, sounding groggy - it seemed you’d fallen asleep as well, and Larissa’s lips curled up into a soft smile.
“It’s not even 6 pm, I didn’t think you’d be asleep!”
“We were just taking a nap!”
“I can see that.” The smirk in Cassandra’s voice was evident from her tone. “Anyway, I was going to ask if we were all still planning on ordering pizza tonight. I’m starving.”
“I guess. When are Robin and Christin coming home?”
Larissa wondered how much longer she could keep herself out of this conversation and pretend to be asleep - your hand came up to rest on her head, nails gently scratching at her scalp, and she shivered in delight.
“Christin just texted, they’re on their way.”
“Okay. Uh, yeah, we can order pizza.”
Larissa chose that moment to peek cautiously up at you. You noticed her move and smiled down at her - that smile alone made Larissa’s heart flutter.
“Sorry if we woke you,” you murmured.
“It’s alright, darling.” Larissa’s voice was slightly hoarse and she cleared her throat, a little embarrassed as she felt the lingering presence of your roommate in the doorway. “I should probably get going…”
Pushing herself into a seated position, she smoothed her dress and ran a hand subconsciously over her updo. She felt you shift beside her, resting your cheek on her shoulder and placing an arm around her waist, giving her a gentle squeeze.
“Do you have to go?” you mumbled into her shoulder. Larissa’s heart clenched at the undertone of neediness in your voice, and she felt the familiar gnawing sense of guilt in her stomach at everything that had transpired in the past 24 hours.
“You should stay,” Cassandra chimed in. Larissa’s gaze snapped over to the young woman and was met with wide brown eyes that watched her curiously. “I mean, Y/N seems to really like you. It would be cool to get to know you.” She shrugged, leaning against the door frame as her eyes flicked between Larissa and you.
Larissa looked down at you for your reaction. “It would be cool,” you agreed softly. “But I know you’re not feeling well so it’s okay if you just wanna go home.”
She supposed it would be important to get to know your roommates - and despite how tired she was, she was craving your company now more than ever. So she wrapped an arm around your waist and smiled at Cass. “Thank you for the invite. I would love to stay for the evening.” Larissa didn’t miss your beaming grin, or the way you squeezed her tighter.
Cass left the two of you alone and padded off to her room. The moment she was gone you had Larissa pressed against the back of the sofa, straddling her lap and pressing your lips to hers in a searing kiss that took her breath away and drew a soft groan from her throat. She rested her hands on your waist, kissing you back eagerly.
“Thank you,” you whispered, punctuating your words with kisses. “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Larissa pulled back, fixing you with an amused look. “What are you thanking me for, love?”
“For saying you’ll stay.” You blushed and hid your face in the crook of her neck, your words muffled against her skin. “I don’t want you to feel like you have to. I know it’s not the best time and you’re tired and maybe you just want to go back to Nevermore but-”
“Darling.” Larissa took your chin gently between her fingers and guided you to look at her. She felt her heart soar at the care and worry for her own well-being that she saw reflected in your eyes. “I want to be here with you. Your friends are important to you and I think it’s time I met them properly.”
“Okay,” you murmured with a smile. “Still, thank you.”
~~~
Robin and Christin came home shortly thereafter and the five of you ordered pizza. It wasn’t long before you were squished together on the couches, chowing down and chatting.
Larissa could tell why you liked your roommates so much. Watching you interact with them made her feel a wistful sort of grief for her own past experiences - how nice it had been when she’d come to Nevermore and met her new roommate, the beautiful and witty and mysterious Morticia. Oh, how they’d hit it off in the beginning, thick as thieves, becoming the best of friends… becoming more. And then Morticia had changed. When she found Gomez, it was like Larissa had become nothing but a toy to her. Instead of coming back to her dorm after a day of classes, excited to gossip and giggle and snuggle like in those early years at Nevermore, she would enter her room with a feeling of dread, never knowing if she’d find her roommate cozied up to Gomez, or perhaps getting ready for some party that Larissa hadn’t been invited to.
In spite of her own heartache, she couldn’t help but smile as she watched the four of you joke around, happy that you’d managed to find people who seemed to truly care about you.
The way that Christin clung to Robin, resting her head on Robin’s shoulder as they sat on one end of the larger sofa, emboldened Larissa, who found herself subconsciously reaching for your hand and wiggling her fingers in between yours.
You turned to her with a look of surprise on your face and Larissa couldn’t help but grin. With a brief glance at your roommates who were locked in a heated debate about whether or not pineapple belongs on pizza, Larissa raised her thumb to the corner of your mouth and swiped at a drop of pizza sauce, the pad of her thumb lingering on your lip for just a moment, before she lifted her thumb to her mouth and sucked it between her lips. Larissa let out the faintest of hums to tease you, heat pooling in her core as she watched your pupils dilate, your gaze fixed on her lips.
“Jesus, you guys are worse than Robin and Christin,” Cassandra whined, pulling both you and Larissa back to the present. Larissa felt her cheeks grow warm, smiling sheepishly as you mouthed an apology before turning to your roommate.
“You’re just bitter because you’re single,” you said - the brunette shot a withering glare in your direction.
“How would you like it if I brought a guy home and-”
“It’s different if it’s a man,” Christin interrupted with a playful eyeroll, you and Robin quickly agreeing as Cassandra huffed and crossed her arms over her chest.
“You’re the one who agreed to live with a bunch of lesbians,” Robin said with a grin.
“Well Y/N used to be on my side,” Cassandra grumbled. “Before she met Larissa.” Her gaze landed on the blonde, her lips quirking up into a devilish grin - Larissa could feel her face grow warmer still.
“Leave Larissa out of this,” you protested.
“I’m right here, you know,” she murmured, unable to hide the wide smile that was beginning to stretch across her face.
“Don’t worry, we like you. But Y/N has turned into such a simp since she met you.”
Your other roommates agreed and Larissa looked down at you, amused to see that your cheeks were glowing just as red as hers felt.
“Moving on,” you said, clearing your throat. “Whose turn is it to choose what movie we watch?”
~~~
After pizza, Larissa agreed to stay for a movie - you were glad your roommates hadn’t sent her running for the hills (yet), and thrilled at the prospect of snuggling up to her on the couch, craving the physical closeness. It was Christin’s turn to choose a movie and she went for a classic: Mamma Mia.
Larissa’s plush thighs bracketed your own, your back pressed comfortably against her front and your head resting back against her shoulder. One of Larissa’s hands was splayed across your abdomen, pulling you snugly into her, the other hand resting on your hip as her thumb lazily stroked your curves. You could feel yourself slowly melting into your partner, as if your bodies belonged together, fitting like puzzle pieces. Larissa was warm and soft and oh so comforting, your brain going slightly fuzzy as you relished in the sensation of her breath on your cheek and her legs brushing against yours, enveloped completely in the scent and feeling of her.
A soft buzzing could be heard and Larissa’s hand left your hip, shifting you aside slightly to reach down into her purse next to the couch. With a glance at her phone screen, a sigh escaped her lips and she pressed a quick kiss to your temple before wiggling out from underneath you, whispering, “I’ll just be a minute.”
You settled back onto the couch as Larissa padded into the kitchen, nestling into the warm spot where she had been sitting moments prior. You found you could hardly concentrate on the movie, though, as you strained your ears, curiosity getting the better of you - it was awfully late to be getting a work call. It was no use, however - Larissa spoke in such hushed tones that you couldn’t make out a single word.
When Larissa re-entered the living room, you shifted aside so that she could resume her position behind you. As she pulled you between her thighs, you craned your head back to look up at her, noting a subtle shift in her demeanor - what exactly she was feeling, however, you couldn’t tell, as her features quickly settled back on neutral.
“Who was that? Is everything okay?” you whispered, trying not to draw the attention of your roommates.
“Everything is fine, darling,” Larissa whispered back, with a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes. You quirked an eyebrow and Larissa quickly looked away, her gaze landing on the television - you felt your stomach drop at being dismissed so quickly. She pressed her lips absentmindedly to the crown of your head, draping an arm loosely over your midsection.
Realizing you weren’t getting any more information out of her, you turned back to the movie, but your attention waned and you found yourself unable to fully relax into Larissa’s arms as you had before. Larissa was hiding something from you, and it did not feel good. It felt as though your intestines were twisting themselves slowly, excruciatingly, into intricate little knots. It felt as though a lump was rising in your throat, making itself a home and making it hard to breathe as your brain immediately jumped from one worst case scenario to the next about what Larissa could possibly be hiding.
As you felt the distant sting of tears threatening to make an appearance, you extricated yourself from her grip.
“I’m getting water, does anyone want anything?” you asked, trying to keep your voice level, purposely avoiding Larissa’s gaze.
Robin shook her head no, Christin let out a quiet “nope”, Cassandra said “no”, all turning their attention back to the movie. Larissa stayed silent, and you could feel her eyes on you as you left the room, burning a hole into your back.
Standing in the kitchen, you leaned against the counter, your back to the living room as you took deep, steadying breaths. Surely you were overreacting. Surely. It was probably just a call from someone at Nevermore about a student, routine business, Larissa was probably just tired. You were probably doing what you did best and reading too much into things. Right?
Except it felt like something bigger. Larissa seemed so stressed and on edge - no matter how often she would tell you she was fine, she clearly wasn’t, and there was nothing you could do to help her. And that feeling sucked.
Soft footsteps sounded behind you and your heart fluttered hopefully as you turned around - only to be met with the sight of Cassandra, leaning in the doorway and watching you with her dark brows knit together.
“You didn’t come in here to get something to drink.” It was a statement, not a question - you’d known each other for so long that she could see right through you. You shook your head no, worrying your bottom lip between your teeth to hide the way it wobbled.
Cass sighed and stepped closer. “You wanna tell me why you’re hiding in the kitchen instead of cozying up with your woman?”
You shrugged and she rolled her eyes in response. “Is it because of the phone call? Do you think she’s…” She bit her lip and gestured vaguely.
“No… I don’t know. I don’t think so? But she’s being weird.”
“So talk to her.”
“I don’t think she wants to talk.”
“So make her! If something is bothering her, you should know.”
“Yeah, I know…” You nodded, swallowing against the lump in your throat. The thought of adding to Larissa’s stress made you nervous - you never wanted to do that - but there was something else. What if she was hiding something from you? Would you want to know? Would you be able to handle it if she was?
“You guys get lost in there?” Robin called out from the living room.
“We’re coming,” you yelled back. Cassandra gave you a pointed look, which only served to deepen the pit in your stomach. You ignored it and poured yourself a glass of water, brushing past her to re-enter the living room, your roommate following close behind you.
You settled back into Larissa’s arms - she looked worried, her brows knit together, but there was also a hint of guilt swimming in those sapphire pools. It made you feel worse, knowing that Larissa could sense something was off, and you hoped she would address it soon.
When the movie finished, Larissa’s arms tightened around you and her lips found your cheek. You tensed at the contact - Larissa noticed and immediately pulled back, and you felt a strange sense of guilt at avoiding her concerned gaze as you sat up and stretched.
“Ah shit.” Robin stood from the couch as she checked her phone. “It’s almost midnight, I have to be up in 5 hours. It was nice to meet you, Larissa.”
Larissa smiled warmly. “Likewise.”
One by one, your roommates excused themselves - Cassandra making a point to bump your shoulder on her way out.
“They’re all very kind, I’m glad you have them,” Larissa said once the two of you were alone, tilting her head to the side and smiling softly.
“Yeah, me too…”
Larissa’s eyes searched your face, her smile slowly fading as she took in your rigid posture. “Darling, are you alright?” She took a step closer to you, taking one of your hands in her own - you were certain she could feel how clammy your hand was, and your fingers twitched nervously.
“I’m fine,” you lied, not quite able to meet Larissa’s gaze.
“Y/N, look at me.” Strong fingers gripped your chin and urged it up, your head tilting backwards. You had no choice but to look the shapeshifter in the eyes, your breath catching in your throat at the stern look on her face.
“Good girl,” she murmured, her voice low, and your cheeks turned pink. Her gaze seemed to drink in your expression - nervous, sad, needy - and her face softened, her hand dropping back down to her side. “Have I done something?”
It took you a moment to find your voice - when you did, it was hoarse. “I don’t know. Have you?”
Larissa furrowed her brow, her eyes narrowing - you could tell she was thinking. Hard. Then her face fell, seeming to take your stomach along with it.
A long, heavy silence engulfed the both of you, Larissa’s nostrils flaring as her eyes darted about the room - your own eyes were glued to her face, carefully taking in every microexpression that passed across it before it finally settled on hurt. Your stomach rolled uncomfortably as a wave of dread began to crest within you, growing larger with every passing beat of silence.
Finally, Larissa spoke, her voice strangely calm and level. “Is this about the phone call I received?”
“I… I don’t know. Is it? I feel like-” You could hear your voice start to shake and you swallowed thickly. “I feel like you’re not talking to me… What about Morticia? I don’t even know who she is and yet you’re, I don’t know, drinking yourself to death because of her?”
Larissa sighed, reaching up to cup your face. “Oh, love, it’s alright, it doesn’t matter. It’s silly. Please, don’t worry ab-”
“Don’t tell me not to worry about it, Larissa,” you hissed, feeling angry tears threaten to spill over your cheeks. “I am worried about it. I’m worried about you.” Your throat was getting tighter by the second as you stumbled over your words. “I want to help you but I don’t know what’s going on, I feel like you’re trying to shut me out.”
Larissa’s eyes fluttered shut, a pained expression crossing her face as she swallowed visibly, her throat bobbing. “I don’t mean to shut you out,” she whispered, letting out a shuddering breath. “Morticia was my roommate at Nevermore. She once meant very much to me, but that was a long time ago. Now she is nothing more than a thorn in my side and, unfortunately, the mother of one of my students.”
She looked as though she wanted to say more, her mouth opening and then closing again, no sound coming out. Then she shook her head lightly, her voice bordering on pleading. “I’m sorry. Please trust me.”
You weren’t satisfied, not in the slightest - your mind was racing with question after question. But Larissa looked as tired as you felt, and any fight you had in you was quickly draining from your body. “I do trust you,” you whispered. “You can trust me, too, though…”
Larissa’s eyes, blue and glassy and wide as saucers, snapped up to meet your gaze. “I do.”
She placed her palm, warm and comforting, on your cheek, her long fingers curling behind your ear, and you found yourself nuzzling into her touch. Her eyes darted hesitantly between yours and she leaned down to kiss you, slowly enough for you to stop her. You didn’t, allowing plush red lips to melt against your own - hesitant and loving and needy all at the same time. One of Larissa’s hands curled in your hair while the other gripped your waist and tugged you closer as her tongue swiped at your lips.
A door somewhere in your apartment creaked open and, becoming aware that your roommates were still very much awake, you pulled back. “It’s getting late. You need sleep. Proper sleep.”
Larissa peered down at you, unblinking. Finally, she nodded slowly and bent to fetch her purse. “You’re right.”
“I’m not done talking about this,” you whispered, half-hoping Larissa wouldn’t hear you as you fidgeted with the hem of your shirt.
“I know. Please be patient with me?” Larissa’s voice was soft and bordering on timid, and you nodded, offering her the most reassuring smile you could muster as you walked her to the door.
You watched her form retreat until she’d disappeared entirely into the night before closing the door and leaning back against it, your body tense and your heart aching.
~~~
In the following days, you could tell that Larissa was trying to make it up to you. She sent you more texts than usual, mundane updates of her day - she even sent you a voice note during her lunch break, the very first one she’d ever sent you, telling you proudly how she’d managed to get groceries and restock her fridge. In the evenings she called you, waiting until you’d fallen asleep before hanging up. You talked about many things, but not Morticia - never Morticia. It still left you feeling a little… off - you hoped she would be ready to talk soon.
On Thursday, you returned home from your morning classes to an empty apartment and busied yourself with making lunch when the doorbell rang.
Figuring one of the girls had forgotten their key again, you opened the door, only to be met with the sight of a delivery driver holding a large box.
“Delivery for Y/N?”
“Uh.” Your brows scrunched together in confusion - you hadn’t ordered anything. “Yeah, that’s me…”
The man thrust the package into your hands and turned to leave, wishing you a nice day. You closed the door and looked down at the package, your heart skipping a beat when you read Larissa’s name on the shipping label.
Settling on the couch, you opened the box - there was a bunch of gold tissue paper and, among it, a small card. A smile crept up your cheeks as you picked up the card, recognizing Larissa’s neat, tight cursive.
My darling, In anticipation of our trip, I have a little gift I’d like to give you. It would please me greatly if you would wait to unwrap it until we’re together, so I’d like for you to bring it with you. I hope this isn’t terribly presumptuous of me, but I couldn’t help myself. Hopefully you are looking forward to this weekend just as much as I am. All my love, Larissa
You bit your lip, your heart feeling like it could burst at any second. Carefully sifting through the tissue paper, you uncovered another, slightly smaller box and something softer and more compact - clothing? - both wrapped in gold paper. You pulled out your phone, snapping a picture of the mountain of tissue paper and sending it to Larissa.
Y/N: You really didn’t have to get me anything!
It only took Larissa a minute to respond, as if she had been waiting to hear from you.
Larissa: I know that, darling. I wanted to.
Y/N: Are you suuure I can’t open it yet? You’re really killing me with the suspense here…
Larissa: I am certain that you can be a good girl and wait for me.
You were grateful to be home alone, your cheeks growing warm and electricity spreading through your limbs. It was crazy just how much you were at Larissa’s mercy, how she was able to turn you on with so little effort on her part - you decided that Larissa deserved a little teasing.
Y/N: And if I don’t want to be a good girl? Then what?
Larissa: Then you would deserve to be punished.
Y/N: Well maybe I want to be punished by you.
It took Larissa noticeably longer to reply to that text than to the others, and you grinned down at your phone, imagining the principal getting all riled up in her office - perhaps texting you during a meeting, trying to hide how flustered you’d managed to make her. In all fairness, you’d gotten yourself worked up as well, your cunt throbbing with a need that you’d have to take care of soon.
Larissa: Noted.
You laughed - it had taken her a whole 4 minutes to reply with that one word.
Y/N: That’s all?
Larissa: Darling, you’ll be the death of me… I’ll call you tonight, alright?
Y/N: Yeah, of course. Don’t forget to eat lunch :*
Larissa: Thank you x
~~~
Larissa did call you that evening. You were snuggled up in bed, your phone lying on the pillow next to you as Larissa’s soft, lilting voice floated from the speaker. The clacking of her laptop keyboard could be heard in the background.
“Have you packed already?” Larissa purred.
“Yep.”
“And you packed what I sent you?”
“Yeah - unopened and everything.”
“Good girl,” Larissa murmured seductively, her voice dropping an octave.
“God, Larissa,” you groaned as heat spread through your body. “You know how unfair it is when you do that.”
“I haven’t a clue what you’re talking about,” Larissa said coyly - you could picture her batting her lashes and smirking, and it did nothing to help with the throb between your legs. “I’ll pick you up around 10 tomorrow, our flight leaves at 12:45.”
Your eyes grew wide. “10? In the morning? Are you sure?”
“Of course, why wouldn’t I be?” You could hear the frown in Larissa’s voice, the clacking of the keyboard coming to a halt.
“I just mean… don’t you have to work?” You worried your bottom lip between your teeth as your pulse picked up.
“I think Nevermore can survive without me for one day, love. Even principals are entitled to a vacation,” Larissa teased.
“Oh.” You were glad Larissa couldn’t see you blush. “Yeah, okay, I’ll be ready at 10.”
“You sound surprised.”
“I’m not, I just thought…” You were unable to finish your sentence - honestly, you were a bit surprised, having thought she’d want to pick you up in the evening after work.
“You mean so much more to me than you realize,” Larissa said softly. Her words overwhelmed you - you wanted so desperately for them to be true, your heart close to bursting. If Larissa had been there with you, you’d have kissed her senseless on the spot.
You swallowed, your voice hoarse with emotion. “I can’t wait, Larissa.”
“Neither can I, darling. Now get some sleep, I want you well-rested for the weekend.”
“Yes, ma’am,” you replied with a giggle, reveling in the barely audible snort that Larissa let out. “I love you, Rissa.”
“I love you, too, pretty girl.”
Surrogacy Ceremony
Tumblr media
"Deep breaths, Christine. It's coming! It is time to feel the merging of my huge baby."
Christine panted strongly as the most powerful contraction rapidly increased. She could feel the incredible throbbing of the crowning head opening her up. The sensation of the birthing head was becoming completely unbearable.
"I need to push it! I need to get it out! Oh please! NEED TO PUSH! RIGHT NOW!"
Christine panicked as the building pressure gripped her core violently. The painful surge slammed downwards but the mother continued to tell her to breath and hold back from bearing!
"You need to wait until the contraction peaks. You need to wait until MY BABY is ready to be born. I will tell you when to PUSH!"
Christine thrashed over her massive belly, clutching her legs and moaning loudly. The mother looked at the midwife and she nodded to instruct it was the right time.
"Alright Christine, keep your legs open and push as hard as you can. I want to hear the pain of birthing my GIGANTIC BABY out of your body."
Christine bore down hard on her next breath with a humongous growl. It was amazing to finally give in to the pounding agony between her thighs. Immediately, her body convulsed and the crown thrusted forward at her burning lips. Christine screamed loudly as she pushed again.
The birther shoved down hard, grunting louder and longer as the intense contraction powered through her pregnant frame. Moments ago, all she wanted was to push but now she wanted it out as soon as possible. The more she pushed, the more the pain spread and intensified.
"Thats it! Push it down and out of you! My ENORMOUS BABY is fighting to be born. He wants to be delivered. You will push until he is birthed fully. I love watching you go through this stage. Push harder and louder. Birthing SUPER STRONG babies are meant to be extremely painful."
Christine was sobbing out in agony as she pushed harder. The head was thumping with each effort. She could feel the widening of the crown as it filled her opening with each excruciating PUSH!
Her body trembled wildly as more of the head birthed through the final stage of delivery. She looked at the mother as the head filled and pounded through her opening. The midwife smiled as the screams of the surrogate grew deafening.
"The baby is ready! The mother is ready to receive her child! Push and give birth, Christine! Give birth and fulfil your duty!"
Christine threw her head back and howled. The primal need to deliver completely consumed her. She pushed and erupted into a million pieces. The raw, powerful release of pressure exploded violently. She yelled out again and again. The stretching head birthed through her. It caused an unrelenting birth explosion!
Thrrown into the depth of suffering, Christine struggled to maintain her focus. She bore down unconsciously as her body forced the child inside her passage to slowly escape its surroundings. Pushing uncontrollably, the surrogate felt primal sensations of climatic release. It was brutally painful!
"You need to push it harder, longer and louder. This baby will be only the first of many babies you will deliver for me! Push! Yell! Scream! Fight it out! I want to hear you do it ALL!!"
Christine vibrated around the super large crown for the next hour, straining and cumming powerfullyand painfully. Finally, the strongest contraction erupted the head fully outwards. The surrogate shouted out, roaring at the top of her lungs.
"Thank you! Thank you for my first born! He is strong and healthy. You have done an amazing job fulfilling your duty. Rest for now and the next baby will be impregnated in you VERY SOON!"
The mother smiled as she left with her child as Christine was taken to a private suite to rest and recover for her next ceremony.
Stephen closed his eyes to gather his thoughts, then opened them, looking straight at his doppelganger’s blue-green eyes, identical to his own. “The Multiverse?”
The other man hummed, tilting his head a little. “While the Multiverse does, indeed, exist, that’s not where I’m from.”
Stephen’s eyebrows creased, his thoughts running in uncertain directions, because if that wasn’t the correct answer, then literally any other explanation would be pure science-fiction.
“I’m from this universe. To be more precise, from the future.”
Stephen scoffed. Or laughed. He wasn’t sure which, wasn’t even sure if he recognized the sound that came out of his throat. “Yeah, right. You time traveled, because obviously that’s something possible.”
“Clearly,” His doppelganger drawled. “Since I am here, proving that it is.”
Stephen rubbed his palms over his face, and then shook his head as his hands fell to his sides. “No.”
His doppelganger seemed completely unfazed by his refusal, like he’d been expecting it. He simply adjusted his position on the bed to sit more comfortably, and began.
“Your first ever crush was a boy named Darin from your class, but you tell everyone that it was a girl from junior year. While hitchhiking your way to New York, you met an old lady in Ohio who gave you food and shelter for a few nights. Years later you anonymously paid for her lumbar discectomy. You worked part-time at the library during your first year in Columbia, but that wasn’t enough to pay the bills so you worked at a gay stripper club once every fortnight.”
Stephen was pretty sure that he wore an utterly comical gobsmacked expression right now.
“I could keep going. You lost a bet to Christine during second year of residency and had to take up three obstetric rotations in a row. You ran into Tony in a coffee shop and agreed to a date out of spite, just to prove that you’re absolutely capable of being a good date.” The doppelganger paused then, a wistful expression crossing his face for a moment. “The day Donna.. right before she stepped on ice, the two of you were talking about—”
“Alright, stop,” Stephen forced out of his throat with too much effort. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm the tide of emotions that threatened to drown him. “I believe you.”
