The Courage to Speak
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the city skyline, Y/n found herself sitting alone in her dimly lit apartment. The weight of the unresolved tension between her and Tom hung heavy in the air still, refusing to be ignored any longer.
With a determined frown, Y/n resolved to confront him once and for all. She paced back and forth in her living room, rehearsing what she would say and how she would say it.
"I need to make him understand how much his words hurt me," she muttered, her voice laced with determination. "I can't let him get away with accusing me of things I didn't do."
"What about, 'You remember those insults you threw at me five years ago? Yeah, they fucking hurt, you arsehole!'" All she was given was a 'really?' look from her Birman Cat, Hodgins.
"Yeah, I didn't think so either." Giving him a quick scratch behind the ears, she went back to the drawing board.
As minutes turned into hours, doubt began to creep into her mind. "What if he doesn't listen?" she wondered aloud, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "What if he doesn't care about how I feel?"
"Mrow?"
"Ugh, you're so right, Hods. He deserves to know what an utter nob head he is."
A silent pause echoed throughout the apartment.
"I've got it, Hods! I bet if there was a competition for jumping to conclusions, you'd have bloody won the gold medal every time! Too bad it's not an Olympic sport!"
She turned to Hodgins to gaze his reaction, only to find him blinking lazily at her, seemingly unimpressed.
"I guess not."
~~~
"Oh, and let's not forget the time you thought my lunch was yours and ate it all. Seriously, who does that?!"
Hodgins gives Y/n a quizzical look, as if trying to decipher her strange behaviour. His green eyes narrow slightly, conveying a sense of mild confusion mixed with amusement. He blinks lazily and then settles back down on the couch, seemingly unfazed by Y/n's playful banter.
Y/n's mind races with thoughts of what to say to Tom, each idea more outrageous than the least. "Maybe I should tell him he's as dense as a brick wall," she muses aloud, pacing back and forth in the living room.
Hodgins continues to watch her antics with mild interest, his tail twitching lazily as if to say, "You're really going to say that?"
But Y/n isn't satisfied with her first idea. "No, that's too tame," she decides, shaking her head. "I need something that really packs a punch."
With a determined gleam in her eye, Y/n grabs a nearby notepad and pen, scribbling down a list of insults with fervour. "How about, 'You're about as sharp as a spoon'?" she suggests with a grin, turning to Hodgins for approval.
Hodgins gives her a blank stare, as if to say, "Are you serious?"
Undeterred, Y/n continues her brainstorming session, her laughter mingling with the soft sound of Hodgins' purring. Despite the tension weighing on her mind, the playful exchange with her furry companion brings a much-needed moment of levity to the evening.
~~~
In the end, he set her notepad aside, opting instead to gather her thoughts and steel herself for the confrontation to come. With a deep breath, she rose from the couch and made her way to the door, determination burning bright in her eyes.
As she stepped out into the cool evening air, the city lights twinkling like stars in the night sky, Y/n felt a surge of courage wash over her. She knew that she couldn't let her fear hold her back any longer, that she owed it to herself to confront Tom and seek closure for the pain he had caused.
With each step she took towards his apartment, Y/n felt the weight of her burdens begin to lift, replaced by a newfound sense of purpose. She was ready to face whatever lay ahead, ready to finally confront Tom and put the past behind her once and for all.
As she reached his doorstep, her heart pounded in her chest, the sound a steady rhythm of determination and resolve. With a shaky hand, she raised her fist and knocked on the door, the sound echoing in the stillness of the night.
And as the door swung open to reveal Tom standing on the other side, Y/n knew that she was ready to face whatever came next, armed with nothing but her courage, the truth in her heart, and a dozen or so insults.

A/N confrontations to come soon :)

Bitter Reminiscence
The air in the office was thick as you exited the room. Every step you took to move away seemed to echo the weight of the unresolved conflict that lingered between you both.
As you sink into your chair, you still can't shake the feeling of resentment that gnaws at your insides. Despite your best efforts to remain professional, Tom's jabs and insults still managed to get the better of you. His words still stung like salt in an open wound.
With a frustrated sigh, you bury yourself in your work, hoping that the intriguing story of Moriarty: Dead or Alive would whisk your mind away. But trying as you might, you still can't seem to shake the feeling of unease that hangs over you like a dark cloud.
Hours somehow manage to pass by in a blur. Many emails and phone calls exchanged manage to distract your mind for a while. But despite your attempts to focus on the article in front of you, your mind always manages to drift back to the exchange in the meeting room.
A soft knock on the door pulls you away from your thoughts. You look up from your keyboard to see Audrey in the doorway, her expression sympathetic.
"Hey, Y/n," she says, her voice gentle. "I know things got a bit heated in the meeting and just wanted to check if you were okay."
You nod, forcing a smile despite the turmoil that churns inside you. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit tired, I guess."
Audrey frowns, clearly unconvinced by your facade. "Y/n, you know you can talk to me, right? Whatever happened between you and Tom, I'm here to help."
You hesitate for a moment, unsure of how much to reveal. But as you look in her kind eyes, you realise that you can't keep your feelings bottled up any longer.
"It's just...seeing Tom again brought back a lot of painful memories," you admit, you voice barely above a whisper. "I thought I had moved on, but I guess some wounds take longer to heal than others."
Audrey reaches out and places a comforting hand on your shoulder. "I understand. Old wounds are sometimes the hardest to heal. And I deeply apologise for not asking if you were okay to take this article. Had I known that you two had history I would've given it to someone else.
"But you cannot let your past with Tom, whatever it may be, to dictate your future. You're stronger than anyone else I've known. I know that you'll find a way to overcome this."
You offer her a grateful smile, grateful for her unwavering support. "Thank you, Audrey. I really appreciate your kind words."
With a reassuring squeeze of your should, Audrey turns to leave, leaving you along with your thoughts once more. As you reflect on her words, you realise that she's right. You can't let your resentment of Tom hold you back any longer.
You need to confront your past, no matter how ugly it may be, and move past it.
Muttering curses about Tom under your breath, you just need to figure out how to deal with it.
-
A/N I don't think this will be many chapters.
Maybe 15 at the most.
But it's something at least :)

Meetings and....Greetings?
The days passed in a whirlwind of deadlines and meetings, each one bringing you closer to the inevitable confrontation with Tom. Despite your best efforts to push aside your feelings of hurt and betrayal, they continued to linger beneath the surface. A constant reminder of your past.
As you sat at your desk, typing away on your computer, the familiar ding of an email notification pops up on your screen. It's from Audrey, with the subject line "Meeting with Tom".
Your heart skips a beat as you open the email, your hands trembling slightly. Audrey had scheduled a meeting between you and Tom to discuss the details of the exposé. You knew this day would come, but you never imagined it would be so soon.
Taking a deep breath, you gather your thoughts and make your way to the meeting room. The air feels heavy with anticipation as you step inside, your eyes immediately drawn to Tom sitting at the far end of the table.
As your gaze meets his, a wave of resentment washes over you, your memories of the past flooding back with painful clarity. You can feel the weight of his accusing gaze on you, his eyes boring into your own soul with a mixture of anger, hurt, and disgust.
For a moment, neither of you says anything, the tension in the room thick enough to cut with a knife. You can see the conflict reflected in Tom's eyes, his jaw clenched tight as he struggles to maintain his composure.
Audrey clears her throat, breaking the silence and drawing your attention away from Tom. "Ella, Tom, thank you both for coming on such short notice," she says, her voice cheerful but tinged with a hint of tension. "Let's get started, shall we?"
As Audrey begins to outline the details of the exposé, you and Tom exchange polite nods, but the tension between you is palpable. As the discussion progresses, you find yourselves disagreeing on several key points, your voices growing more strained with each passing moment.
"I think the main focus should be on Tom's career trajectory," you say, your tone firm. "His rise to fame, the challenges he's faced along the way, the whole shebang."
Tom shakes his head, his expression stubborn. "I completely disagree. Every single celebrity has to face many of the same challenges. I want to promote how fame impacts the individual. How it affects relationships, my sense of self. That it's not all it's thought to be."
You bristle at his words, feeling a surge of anger rising within you. "That's not anywhere near what we discussed or agreed upon," you snap, your voice sharp. "We discussed that we would tell your story; the average British man to Marvel star. We never agreed to air your dirty laundry."
Tom's jaw tightens, his eyes flashing with irritation. "My personal life is a part of my story, whether you like it or not. I'm not here to share a story that the average gossip-starting journalist could offer. "
As the discussion drags on, the atmosphere in the room grows increasingly hostile. You and Tom trade barbs and accusations, each one more cutting than the last. Despite your best efforts to remain professional, it's clear that the wounds of the past are still raw and unhealed.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, Audrey interrupts the heated exchanged. "Alright, that's enough," she says, her voice firm. "Clearly, we're not going to reach a resolution today. Let's reconvene tomorrow and try to find some common ground."
You and Tom exchange tense nods, a silent acknowledgement of the unresolved tension that still lingered between you both. As you leave the meeting room, you can't help but feel a sense of exhaustion wash over you. Despite your best efforts to move forward, you knew that the road ahead would be filled with obstacles. The main obstacle being the one and only Thomas William Hiddleston.

Blast From the Past
You sat at your desk, typing away on your computer, avidly trying to finish off this Sherlock article. A quick glance to the bottom right of your screen told you that it was time for your lunch break. Pushing back your chair, you stood up and made your way to the kitchen.
As you reached for a mug, you heard footsteps behind you. Turning, you see Audrey entering, with a bright smile on her face.
"Hey, Ella! How's the Sherlock article coming along?" She asked, her enthusiasm seemingly infectious.
You forced a smile, "It's coming along," you replied, your voice tinged with uncertainty.
Auddie nodded, oblivious to your inner turmoil. "That's great to hear! The sooner you finish that, the sooner you'll move onto the Hiddleston exposé."
Before you could dwell on it anyt further, the door to the kitchen swung open, and in walked Tom Hiddleston himself. Your stomach dropped as you locked eyes with him, your breath catching in your throat.
Tom offered you a surprised, but strained smile, his gaze lingering for a quick moment before turning his attention to Audrey.
"Ah, Miss Monroe, there you are," Tom says, his voice smooth and confident. "I've come to sign the contracts for the exposé."
Audrey's eyes widened in excitement. "Of course, Mr. Hiddleston! Right this way."
As they move to the other side of the kitchen, you feel a wave of panic wash over you. Memories of your past argument with Tom begin to flood your mind, each one more vivid than the last.
"You betrayed my trust, Ella!"
"I trusted you, and you threw it all away!"
"I should've known to never trust a fucking journalist."
You shake your head, trying to push the painful memories aside. You can't let them get in the way of your work, no matter how much they continue to hurt.
With a determined nod, you turn away from the scene unfolding in the kitchen and make your way back to your office; lunch forgotten. You needed to focus on the task at hand, no matter how difficult it might be.
As you settle back into your chair, you force yourself to concentrate on your article. But deep down, you know that your past with Tom will continue to linger in the back of your mind, waiting for the moment you'll be forced to confront it once again.

A New Feature
"Y/n! How much longer on your piece?"
You huffed, chair tucking back into your desk. "Not too much longer, Audrey. Just doing the final edits."
"Hurry it up, please! Got something excited to share."
Many people would say that working as a journalist would mean researching and writing about boring events that happen on a day-to-day basis.
Yours definitely wasn't.
You were fortunate enough to work for TuneIn Magazine, the biggest pop culture news outlet in England. You got to study and write about your favourite characters, movies, comics, and whatever else you desired. It truly was your dream job.
Giving your article a final glance, you save it and send it off to editorial.
Pushing your chair back, you start heading over to Audrey's office, making sure to stop off at the staff kitchen to grab a biscuit.
With a quick knock on the door, you head in, "You wanted to see me?"
A girlish squeal was all you heard before Audrey made her way over to you.
"I'm going to be the bestest friend ever!"
You roll your eyes, "You're also my boss, Auddie."
She grinned, "It doesn't matter, I'm going to be the best of both!"
"Alright, hit me. What crappy article am I doing this time? The Bacon-Flavour Era? Who never did their ice-bucket challenge after being nominated?"
She gave you a quizzical look, "What? No?!"
"Then what am I here for? We've still got three hours left, and I've got that article on Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock series to finish writing."
"He's just so dreamy! Have you seen those baby-blues?" She wiggles her eyebrows a few times.
Chuckling softly, "You've always been obsessed with that man."
"I know, but who doesn't?" You raise your hand.
She scoffs, "Well, you're just weird."
"What did you actually call me in here for?"
Audrey's eyes seemed to gleam with excitement, "Remember how we've been brainstorming about changing things up here? Not just focusing on the characters or fandoms?" You nod. "Well, I've got something that will knock your socks off."
You raised an eyebrow, intrigued, "Do tell, Auddie."
She leaned across her desk, trying to act conspiratorially, "You, my dearest friend, are about to embark on an exposé of a lifetime. We're talking about a piece that will send shockwaves through the fandom community."
You leaned forward, "Keep going..."
"It's time to pull back the curtain on none other than Thomas William Hiddleston himself!" She exclaimed, a wide grin prominent on her face.
You blinked, slightly taken aback, "Tom Hiddleston."
Auddie nodded, "That's right! The enigmatic heartthrob, the charismatic actor -- we're delving deep into the man behind the roles."
A multitude of emotions flickered across your face, though you managed to remain neutral. "I see..."
If she noticed you weren't as ecstatic as she was, she didn't mention it; too swept up in her enthusiasm. "I can't wait to see what you manage to get out of this? This is going to be huge!"
"And get this," Audrey continued, barely containing her excitement, "Mr. Hiddleston himself has agreed to cooperate with this exposé. You'll have exclusive access to him for all of your interviews...multiple times!"
Your heart sank at the thought of seeing Tom again, but you plastered a smile for Audrey's sake. "Sounds like quite a good opportunity."
As Audrey launched into a flurry of ideas for the article, you couldn't shake the feeling of apprehension gnawing at you. Interviewing Tom Hiddleston multiple times was definitely not part of your plan, but it seemed fate had other ideas.
~~~
Change is Never Easy
Summary: The two of you called it quits a month or so ago...and then Y/n faints during a shift. Change is never easy.
Pairing: Surgeon!Strange x Fem!Nurse!Reader
Warning(s): ex-lovers, exes to lovers(?), fainting, unexpected pregnancy
The atmosphere at General-Metro had quickly become thick with tensions ever since the breakup. Dr Stephen Strange and Nurse Y/n L/n had officially called it quits a few weeks ago, and the lingering awkwardness between them was impossible to ignore.
Navigating the hallways was like tiptoeing through an emotional minefield.
Y/n, nursing her wounded heart, did her best to keep up appearances during her shifts. She tried to focus on her tasks and avoid any unnecessary encounters with Stephen.
The air of the hospital was constantly charged with unspoken words and unresolved emotions; and the slightest interaction left both of the medical professionals on edge.
On one fateful day, while Y/n was basking in her lunch-break, the build up of the emotional strain proved too much. In the break-room, surrounded by the hum of vending machines and the distant chatter of her coworkers, Y/n collapsed.
Panicked voices echoed through the room as her coworkers rushed to her aid.
---
The current events of Stephen Strange's ex did not reach him until later on in the day, courtesy of one Christine Palmer, who had intercepted him in the bustling hallway.
"Stephen, have you gone to check on Ella? Something happened to her during her shift, and I haven't had to opportunity to see her yet," Christine whispered urgently, concern etched into her voice.
Stephen's brow furrowed in confusion. "What? No, I haven't. Is she alright?"
Christine briefly briefed him on the situation before she got paged to another emergency, prompting Stephen to abandon his current path and seek out Y/n.
When he found her, lying down in a quiet corner of the hospital, seemingly alright, the relief on his face was undeniable.
Slowly walking over to her, he brushed a stray hair out of her face. "What happened to you?" Concern prominent in his voice as he dragged a chair over.
With a flutter of her eyes and a shaky smile, Y/n greeted him. "Hey, Stephen. I don't really know what happened. I just felt incredibly dizzy, and then everything went black for a moment. I'm probably just dehydrated, I'm sure everything is fine."
Stephen raised his eyebrows, and his professional instincts kicked in. "People don't just faint for no reason, Y/n. I'm going to order a few tests to make sure."
Before calling in others, Stephen quickly did an examination, asking her about her symptoms and taking note of her vitals.
As Stephen focused on the exam, Y/n couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia. Their interactions were once filled with warmth and familiarity. Now, they were tainted by the awkwardness that hung in the air like a heavy cloud.
She was broken from her thoughts by Stephen's sigh of relief. "Physically, you seem find. I'm still getting other tests done to be thorough."
Y/n nodded, appreciating the concern emanating from her ex-lover. "Thanks, Stephen. I appreciate it."
---
It was probably about fourty-five minutes later when Stephen was given Y/n's test results. His eyes scanned the report, his expression changing from professional concern to surprise. Y/n, being curious and anxious about what he had seen, couldn't help up speak up.
"Stephen, what is it? What's on the report? Am I okay?" she pressed, her eyes searching his chiseled face for answers.
Taking a moment to compose himself, Stephen finally spoke, his voice a mix of disbelief and realisation. "Y/n, you're...pregnant."
Time seemed to still as the revelation hung in the air. Y/n's eyes widened, mirroring Stephen's astonishment. The awkwardness of their recent breakup was momentarily forgotten as they processed this unexpected twist of fate.
"Pregnant?" Y/n repeated, the word feeling foreign on her lips. "But we were careful?"
Stephen's mind raced, still processing the news. "Well, it seems we have to blame the twisted mind of the universe for this."
I'm so sorry that I've been gone for agessssss. Uni has been kicking my ass and now I'm on placement. Life's just hectic. But I miss my crazy tumblr community, and I've gone too long without posting anything...
I'm going to try and pump out some stuff (hopefully soon). I've had a few ideas sitting in my drafts for agesss.
Not to mention I've also been watching Loki! I'm obsessed, love the plot, curious to see where it goes.
Also I was rewatching Kong: Skull Island, and am I the only one whose noticed at Casey is in it? Honestly, this is probably wide-known and I'm just late to the party but...mind shook.
Shattered Dreams pt 2
You sat on a weathered stone by the edge of a vast, churning sea, your gaze fixed on the distant horizon. The passage of time had etched lines of experience onto your face, and the one-vibrant emeralds that held your vision had faded into a gaze tinged with memories.
Three centuries had slipped by since you left the castle and the life you once knew. The world around you had transformed, and yet your heart remained trapped in the throes of a love that have never been requited. The pain had not waned; instead, it had woven itself into the fabric of your existence, a constant reminder of what could have been.
The castle that once stood as a symbol of your shattered dreams now existed only as a distant memory, a shadow of a past life. The corridors that echoed with joyous laughter now only whispered the echoes of time. You had severed the ties that bound you to that place, seeking solace in solitude, away from the celebrations and happiness that were never truly yours.
Rumours had reached your ears over the years, whispers that Loki and his wife were not the soulmates they seemed to be. The world was vast, and fate often played tricks. But the scars of the past ran too deep, and your heart had learned to guard itself against the possibilities of further heartbreak.
One evening, as the sun cast its final golden hues across the waves, a familiar figure approached. Loki, his once-youthful features now touched by the years, stood before you. The glint of recognition in his eyes was mirrored in your own, though the emotions behind it were complex.
"Y'n," he spoke softly, his voice carrying the weight of time. "I never thought I'd find you here after all these years."
You regarded him with a mix of wariness and nostalgia. "Time has a way of leading us to unexpected places."
Loki took a tentative step closer, his gaze earnest. "I need you to know something. My- my marriage, it wasn't what it seemed. She wasn't my soulmate. I had been blinded by something else, something that clouded my judgement."
A surge of emotions rolled within you--anger, longing, and a kernel of hope that you had long buried. "And what does that change, Loki? The past cannot be rewritten."
He sighed, his eyes tracing the expanse of the sea as if searching for answers, "I understand if you can't find it in your heart to forgive me, but I had to tell you the truth. I've spent these years haunted by the choices I made, haunted by your absence."
Your voice remained steady, though your heart stirred with conflicting emotions. "Your choices led us here. I've learned to live with the weight of what could never be. Maybe you should as well."
Loki reached out, his hand hesitating in the space between you. "Is there no chance for redemption? No way to mend the fragments of a shattered bond?"
You met his gaze, and for a moment, the memories of stolen glances and secret smiles flickered through your mind. "Three hundred years cannot erase the pain, Loki. But perhaps, in acknowledging your mistakes, you've offered a semblance of closure."
Tears welled in his eyes, and he lowered his hand, the weight of his actions evident in his bowed shoulders. "I never wanted to be the cause of your suffering. I only wish..."
"I know," you interrupted softly, your voice touched by a hint of compassion. "We each bear our burdens. The heartache you see before you is the sum of choices made by both of us."
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting hues of orange and pink across the sky, Loki turned to leave. His figure grew smaller against the fading light, a silhouette of a man burdened by his own history.
Alone once more, you turned your gaze back to the sea, the waves a constant reminder of the passage of time. The pain remained, but perhaps now, it could begin to transform into something else--a bittersweet reminder of a love that had once consumed you, and the strength you had found to carry on.
A/N Hello! It's been a while! I was reading back on some of my oneshots and got inspired to write a part 2 of the Shattered Dreams.
Little Princess
Summary: After finding out that you were pregnant, your ex boyfriend left and wanted nothing to do with either of you. Scared to do this alone, you confided in your best friend, Loki; and being the amazing friend he is, he steps in to help you with your little one.
Pairing: Loki x Single Mum!Reader
Warning(s): domestic fluff, single mum!reader, subtle friends to lovers situation, baby cuteness, daddy!loki (get your mind out of the gutter!)
“Where’s my good little girl?”
Your baby girl, Violet, looked at you with her big e/c eyes and gave you that gummy smile. She was almost a year old now. It was crazy how fast time had flown. It felt like only yesterday when you found out you were pregnant.
Tickling her sides you gasped, “There she is!” Her sweet giggles bring a smile to your face.
When you first found out you were pregnant, you were the happiest you had ever been. But every ounce of happiness was crushed when Violet’s dad said he didn’t want anything to do with either of you. You thought you were going to have to do everything on your own. But that’s when Loki--the sweetest being to ever exist--decided to step in.
After you told him about Violet, he vowed to support you and be with you every step of the way. He went to every appointment; woke up and brought you your weird food cravings in the middle of the night; went to all the prenatal classes; and was there in the delivery room when you birthed your sweet baby girl.
He was absolutely perfect. You wouldn’t have been able to do any of it without him.
Currently, though, Loki was out on a mission; leaving you and your daughter on your own for the first time. It was difficult to even get him to go on it; he refused to go on any after your daughter was born.
Watching your gurgling daughter you sighed, “Loki...he’s just amazing, isn’t he, Lovie?”
~~~
The two of you had been relaxing on the couch--you laying down reading a book, while Violet took a nap on your chest--when you heard the creaking of the door.
You held Violet closer as you turned to look at the door. You were not expecting anyone. But you let out a sigh of relief when you saw those famous black curls and piercing green eyes.
He smiled at you and whispered, “Hello, Darling. How are my two favourite ladies?”
You blushed, “We’re good. It’s nap time.”
He chuckled, “I can see that. I don’t wish to disturb the angel, I’ll try be as quiet as I can.”
As if sensing his presence, Violet lifted her little head off your chest and turned to face him, a happy squeal slipping through her lips.
Loki, hearing her squeal, let out a little laugh and greeted her, “Hello, Little Princess!”
She began babbling, as if she was telling him all the goings on since he had left. Loki just nodded along with a big goofy grin on his face; his jaw occasionally dropping when her coos got quite passionate.
“That seems like you had a wonderful time and your mother spoiled you rotten.”
You giggled and played with Violet’s cheeks, “Who can say no to this squishy little face? They’d have to be a monster to do so.”
Loki just smiled contently, “They would have to be, my dear.”
~~~
At this point, Violet was around 16 months. Loki had begrudgingly gone back to avenging on a part time basis; refusing to even think about going back to full time.
“Go back to assisting those imbeciles and my oaf of a brother full time? Definite no, Darling. Besides, I’d miss my ladies too much.”
Nevertheless, here all three of you were, gathered at the monthly Avenger barbecue. You loved your little makeshift family of three, but sometimes it was nice to live a life that wasn’t always revolved around feeding times, nap times, and changing nappies.
Violet was sitting quietly in your lap as you were talking with Natasha and Wanda about their recent mission in Greece; currently mesmerised by Wanda’s magic that she had conjured to keep her entertained.
Everything seemed to be going fine until Violet began to get fussy. No matter how many times you rocked her, soothed her, or cooed at her, she wasn’t calming down.
Just as you were about to excuse yourself to go grab some food for her, her eyes lit up.
“Dadda!”
All noises seemed to screech to a halt. All eyes were now on your little girl, and your raven haired saviour. Your eyes practically bulged out of your head as Loki halted in his tracks.
Did she just call him-
“Dadda!”
Guess you didn’t imagine that.
You stood still, not knowing what to do. Violet just reached her hands out towards Loki and performed that cute little grabby motion with her hands towards him.
“Dadda! Dadda! Dadda!”
She continued to call out to him as you both just stood there staring at each other, the world seeming to fade around you.
Loki seemed to knock himself out of his daze when she began crying. Rushing over to her, and quickly scooping her out of your arms and cradling her towards his chest, gently bouncing and softly cooing at her.
Seeming to notice the awkwardness between you and Loki, the gang all left the room, giving you some privacy.
As soon as the room was empty, you immediately began talking, “Loki, I am so sorry. I- I don’t know where she got that from! I haven’t taught her anything along those lines, I haven’t even said that word around her-”
A finger was firmly placed against your lip, effectively silencing you.
“Please, Darling, let me speak my piece.” After receiving your nod, Loki removed his finger and began moving his hand up and down Violet’s back.
“Darling, I vividly remember the moment that you arrived on my doorstep in hysterics after that pathetic excuse of a being left you after finding out about the Little Princess.”
He took a deep breath before continuing, “That day I promised you that I would be there with you for every step of the journey, and I believe that I have effectively kept my promise thus far...”
You nodded, your mouth beginning to open to thank him, but he placed his finger over your lips once again.
“Ah ah, Darling, I haven’t finished yet. Yes, I have upheld my promise thus far, but the journey is far from finished. The Little Princess is not even a year and a half yet. She still has a long journey ahead of her. I plan to be here for that entire journey, Darling.”
He stepped closer and wiped a stray tear from your cheek, “Darling, My Love, the Norns have decided to bestow me with the greatest gifts ever imaginable. So, no, I am not disgusted or horrified by the Little One calling me, Dadda, was it? If anything, I am over-joyous. I have considered both you and Violet as my family for quite some time now, My Love. I am honoured for her to gift me with such a title.”
At this point, you were practically sobbing, this man...no god, was the sweetest, most kind being to ever exist in this universe; how were you so lucky to know him?
You wiped your tears away and gave him a watery smile, “Loki, you’ve been our family since that day on your doorstep. I am so grateful that you have taken care of us all this time; and I don’t think that Violet could’ve chosen a better father.”
Loki pulled you closer to him, cradling Violet between the both of you. “You’re both my world, Y/n. Thank you for allowing my to be apart of it.”
You three just stayed like that for a while, embracing the future of your new family. And then everyone came back in.
“So where’s the newest princess of New Asgard?”
“THOR!”
A/N This one has been in my drafts for so long! So glad to finally have gotten it out!
A Tango In Time -- Chapter #1
Summary: While on your walk through the marketplace, a strange man appears in weird clothing; bidding bad tidings. He sweeps you into his arms, and all of a sudden...you're not in Pompeii anymore.
Pairing: TVA!Loki x Roman!Reader
Warning(s): mentions of death and destruction, Loki being a mischievous scamp
As a resident of Pompeii, you lived a simple life in the shadow of the great Mount Vesuvius. You had always known that there was the possibility that the volcano could erupt at any moment, but you never truly expected it to happen; let alone when you were enjoying the sights of the marketplace.
But as the sky turned grey and the ground began to tremor beneath your feet, you knew that it was the end. You closed your eyes, waiting for the inevitable, but when you opened them again, you saw a man in some sort of beige cloth standing in front of you. He had a mischievous smile on his face and a glint in his eyes that made you uneasy.
"Nothing matters," he declared, his sultry voice ringing in your ears. He seemed to be talking to someone else, but you were the only one standing there. Suddenly, he grabbed your hand and pulled you towards him.
"What are you doing?" you asked, trying to pull away.
"I'm proving a point," he replied, a smirk on his lips.
You had no idea what he was talking about, but before you could protest, he began to swing you around. You stumbled at first, but soon found your footing and began to move with him. The world around you was crumbling and falling apart, but in that moment, all that mattered was the two of you dancing in the midst of destruction.
As the ground continued to shake and the sky turned black, the man in beige continued to dance with you. You had no idea who he was or what he wanted, but you couldn't help but feel drawn to him. His confidence and charm were intoxicating, and for a moment, you forgot about the impending doom.
But just as quickly as it had started, the dancing stopped. The man in beige suddenly let go of your hand and seemingly disappeared, leaving you alone in the chaos of your city's impending doom.
A shaky sigh was all you managed to get out before someone grabbed your arm and pulled you through some sort of glowing light. And the next thing you knew, you were standing in a strange room surrounded by people in strange clothes.
Confused and disoriented, you stumbled forward, trying to find your bearings. Suddenly, the man in beige appeared again, this time with another man in what you're assuming to be formal garb.
"Welcome to the TVA," he said, his mischievous smile never leaving his face. "You're not supposed to be here, but I couldn't resist bringing you along."
You had no idea what he was talking about; what was a TVA? But before you could ask, the man in the formal clothes interrupted.
"Loki, what have you done?" he asked, his voice sounded stern, but the words he spoke were extremely foreign.
The man in beige's -- now known as Loki's-- smile faltered for a moment, but he quickly regained his composure. "Relax, Mobius. She's not going to cause any harm."
You sent a confused glance to Loki, "What is this man saying? Where is he from? Greece? Persia?"
Loki's eyes seemed to widen with realisation, "Ah, I apologise my lady. Let me fix this problem." With that, a green haze washed over you, a startled yelp slipping from between your lips.
"Are you two done with your little show?" The older man--who you assumed to be Mobius--asked.
Loki scoffed, "I was not putting on a show! She couldn't comprehend a word that slipped through your lips; so I gave her a little help."
Mobius just sighed, "She's not supposed to be here, Loki. You know the rules," his frustration evident in his tone.
"But isn't that the point? To show you that apocalypses don't affect the timeline?" Loki retorted.
"I was there with you! I saw the evidence on the Tempad! There was no need for you to bring a random woman back with you," Mobius said, crossing his arms.
"Ah, but where's the fun in that? Besides, she seemed like she needed some excitement in her life. Being burned alive or suffocated by volcanic ash doesn't seem like a good pass time," Loki replied with a sly grin.
Your eyes practically bulged out of your head, "What?"
A/N I've had this idea in my drafts for so long...so it's amazing to finally have something to post. This is probably going to be a short story, maybe 5 or 6 part at most.
This is one of my many ideas for my 500 followers celebration!
Tangles Lies | Chapter #1 - Partners in Crime
Series Summary: Loki and Y/n were some of the most formidable criminals of the gang The Avengers. On a heist, the one thing they didn't plan for happened: they got caught. And what's the best way to ensure they can't testify against each other? They pretend to be married. Only one problem...they pretty much hate each other.
Based on @deity-prompts' fabulous prompt: A and B are part of a criminal group. When they’re caught, they pretend to be married so that they can’t testify against each other in court.
Pairing: Criminal!Loki Laufeyson x Criminal!Fem!Reader
Warning(s): mob!au themes, mentions of thievery, general stupidity, my bad humour, mob violence, possible gore, mild angst, possible references to death, lemme know if I forgot anything
In the sprawling city of New York, a clandestine world thrived beneath the surface of law and order. Loki, a cunning an enigmatic figure, helped rule the shadows with his silver tongue and a hint of mischief in his piercing green eyes. He was a true mastermind in the art of deception.
And then there was you--a woman of unparalleled intellect and allure, with a reputation that matched Loki's in every single way. But you were no ally; you were a rival, each of you vying for dominance in the criminal underworld.
Despite your mutual animosity, you were both members of the infamous gang The Avengers--a tight-knit group that thrived on pulling off audacious heists; heists that others could only dream of. And tonight, fate had conspired to throw you and Loki together for a mission that could solidify your status within the gang.
The target was a priceless artefact; one hidden deep within the heavily guarded confines of the city's most secure museum. The heist required extreme precision, timing, and a well-coordinated plan. You knew you couldn't do it alone, and Loki, much to your chagrin, was assigned as your mission partner.
As you stood together outside the museum, the tension between you was palpable. "This should be fun," Loki quipped, a smug smile on his face. "Working with my favourite rival, that is."
You rolled your eyes, unimpressed by his attempt at charm. "Oh, please, spare me the pleasantries," you retorted. "Let's just get this over with so I can go back to stealing things in peace!"
Loki chuckled, clearly basking in your annoyance. "As you wish, my dear adversary. Shall we proceed with our extremely cunning plan?"
With a nod, you began to outline the intricacies of the heist, exploiting each other's strengths while ensuring the keep a watchful eye on any opportunity to outdo the other. The museum's layout, security systems, and patrol schedules were meticulously discussed as you both crafted a plan that was sure to confound anyone who dared to stand in your way.
As you entered the museum, disguised in sleek black attire, the adrenaline began to surge through your veins. You exchanged a knowing glance, acknowledging the thrill of the challenge ahead.
The heist progressed flawlessly, a symphony of coordinated movements and unspoken communication. Your rivalry had turned into a delicate dance of skill and cunning, each of you anticipating the other's moves with a begrudging respect.
At one point, as you expertly bypassed a laser grid, Loki's voice danced with amusement. "Not bad, Y/n. Not bad at all. But you're still a few steps behind me!"
You shot him a glare, "We'll see about that, Laufeyson. I'm just warming up."
With a theatrical flourish, Loki retrieved a small, gleaming device from his pocket. "Let's see if you can keep up with this," he taunted, activating the device with a triumphant smirk.
To your surprise, a hidden vent opened in the ceiling above you, allowing Loki to gracefully ascend and evade the laser grid. He looked down at you, a self-satisfied grin on his face.
"Show off," you muttered, but the corners of your lips betrayed a hint of amusement.
Loki laughed, basking in your acknowledgement of his clever move. "Oh, come now, Y/n. Where's your sense of adventure?"
With renewed determination, you followed Loki's lead, leaping and dodging through the maze of security measures.
As you reached the heart of the museum, where the priceless artefact was displayed under bulletproof glass, you exchanged a knowing glance with Loki. This was the moment that would determine your success or failure, and you both knew it.
With a nod, Loki initiated the final phase of the plan. As the distraction unfolded on the museum's opposite side, you moved with calculated precision, slipping through the shadows and disabling the electronic barriers with ease.
The moment your fingers made contact with the glass casing, a tingling sensation coursed through you. It was as if the artefact recognised its impending liberation, and the connection sent a thrill down your spine.
But just as you were about to secure the artefact, a gut-wrenching sound echoed through the halls--an alarm had been triggered.
Your eyes widened, "Shit! We've got to go!"
Loki rolled his eyes, "You don't say? Why don't we just wait and have some tea with the police?"
"Now is not the time for your quips, you asshole," you spat.
Just as Loki was about to spit something back, you both heard the sound of footsteps. "Museum Security! Come out with your hands up!"
"Do they really think that we'd be scared of them?" Loki whispered.
"Not now, Laufeyson!"
Together, you and Loki navigated through the labyrinthine corridors, staying one step ahead of the security team that was now in hot pursuit of you both. The museum was now a maze of danger, but you both managed to move in harmony, being driven by a shared goal and an unspoken understanding.
As you burst through the museum's doors and into the night, the artefact safely concealed under Loki's coat, you exchanged a knowing glance. Despite the obstacles, you had done it--together.
Just as you thought you were in the clear, the sound of police sirens echoed in the distance, growing louder with each passing moment. You and Loki exchanged a glance of realisation--you both had been caught.
As the handcuffs came out, you couldn't help but glare at Loki; anger and adrenaline coursing through your veins. "This is all your fault," you hissed.
Loki scoffed, the corners of his lips curling into a mischievous smirk. "Oh, please. You're the one who tripped the alarm, Y/n. I was simply trying to clean up after your mess."
"This all would've gone smoothly if I wasn't partnered with you!" You shot back, glaring at him with a mix of frustration and grudging admiration.
"We can argue about your faults later," Loki said, his voice low and urgent. "Right now, we need to find a way out of here."
A/N ahh! I'm so excited for this story! I hope you guys enjoy it!
