William Moriarty

You two had been together for years now, since you two were teenagers. You've shared everything. Hopes, dreams, ideals... So when he saw someone try to harass you simply because of your gender? That won't do.

"Oi! Pretty broad!"

The random man's words did little to phase you. You didn't even speed up your footsteps. But your dear William stopped in his tracks.

Oh, yes, that's right. No one had ever been stupid enough to cat call you with him around before.

"Y/N..." his gaze had turned to the man, unblinking, "Did you not hear what that man just so crudely yelled at you?"

You shrugged, stopping in your tracks to try and let him catch up to you. He didn't dare move.

"It's nothing, William. Happens all the time to us ladies."

If you didn't know better, you'd say his eye just twitched.

"Is that so? And here I was, thinking it was mostly noblemen who were the rotten part of our society."

He smiled then. Like his mind wasn't 100% alongside you anymore.

His cane left the ground, being weilded in both hands almost like a baseball bat.

Or, more accurately, perhaps he was holding it like a mace.

It was safe to say, no man went within a few dozen meters of you for quite some time after that. After all, you always had your dear William with you now.

Louis Moriarty

Oh, did you think William would be protective?

Ha!

Louis is SO MUCH WORSE

To be completely fair, he was already practically a guard dog for both you and William. You had been engaged to him for a few months, and each passing day he just wanted to spend more time by your side.

This was how he found out how truly awful some men could be.

You two had boarded a train back to Durham, coming back from a lunch date together. You two had managed to score a semi-private spot in the lunch car, meaning that he could hold you without too much fuss from the rest of society. One hand was in yours, the other wrapped around your waist. You had both ordered drinks, his a sophisticated Earl Grey tea, yours a refreshing seltzer water. That was when your waiter came back up to you both.

"Sir, I know this is quite uncouth of me to say, but the gentleman a few seats down won't stop staring at your lady friend there." He gestured to you, specifically your chest, and you seemed to shrink into your seat instantly.

Louis scowled, "Thank you for informing me. You're dismissed, good sir."

The waiter stepped away, and Louis's grip on you got tighter.

"It's fine, darling. You mustn't fret." You tried to comfort him, but his scowl only deepened.

"I will fret." He turned his head, catching eyes with a man a few booths down. He did, indeed, seem to be staring at you. "And I'm going to teach him to respect others, or die trying."

You saw Louis stand, and approach the man in a terrifying calmness. He shook his hand, and gestured for him to follow him.

If you happened to see a person-shaped figure get thrown out of the train that day, no one has to know.

Albert Moriarty

He understands deep, seething rage. He dealt with it much when he was younger. So he understands that the best way to deal with it, is to take care of it yourself.

Normally, women weren't allowed into a prestigious college. But Albert, with his power and wealth, managed to convince the school that having one woman among its ranks wouldn't hurt. Hence, you being halfway through a science and medicine degree. Albert supported you all the way through. Your husband truly was a lovely, understanding man.

"It was fascinating, my love!" Your eyes lit up as you opened your textbook to that day's lesson, "We learned about the chambers of the heart, and all the illnesses and diseases that can correlate to it's health. Isn't that so cool!"

His smile widened at seeing you happy, "It certainly is, my dear. Do go on, teach me more about it."

You nodded, eyes bright, about to keep talking before-

"I'm sure anything is fascinating to a woman. But can she even understand it? Why, she should be at home, not trying to educate herself on something she could never possibly understand."

A man had approached you both. His smug grin was enough to dampen your joy immediately.

Albert blinked, his expression blank, before turning his head back to you, "My dear, would you like my walking stick, or do you want to use your textbook? After all, this fine gentleman seems in need of an anatomy lesson."

Your grin came back, "Your walking stick, please. I'd rather not get my favorite chapter dirty."

The man's eyes flew open as you took the wooden cane from Albert, weilding it more like a weapon than an aid.

"Now," The excitement in your expression was back, "I'll give you an anatomy lesson as I break all of your bones in alphabetical order."

The cutest thing he has ever witnessed is you, curled up against him, sleepy and complaining, your words slurred with exhaustion. He can’t even pretend to be unaffected, not when his heart is doing dangerous things inside his ribcage.

He presses his cheek against the top of your head, partly to hide the stupidly fond smile tugging at his lips, partly to pull you closer. His fingers trace absentminded circles against your back, grounding himself in the warmth of you.

"Yes, that was very stupid indeed," he murmurs, voice low and soft, vibrating through his chest.

His arms tighten slightly, an unconscious habit.

"I’m sorry you had to deal with that."

And despite everything, despite the frustrating conversation that had you worked up in the first place, you can’t help but smile.

"Ice cream?" you whisper sleepily, fingers clutching his shirt as if holding on for dear life, fighting the pull of exhaustion before you can claim your promised treat.

Zayne huffs out a quiet laugh, shaking his head. You and your sugar cravings.

But he doesn’t hesitate.

He’s never the one to refuse you.

"What flavor?" he asks simply, already shifting to get up, to bring it to you.

Your grip tightens.

"Not moving," you mumble into his chest, too stubborn, too comfortable to let him go. "You bring it here."

Zayne lets out an amused breath, but complies without argument.

He carefully untangles himself, easing you back onto the couch, making sure you don’t stir too much, before heading toward the kitchen.

A moment later, the quiet hum of the freezer door opening fills the air.

"Chocolate?" he calls over his shoulder.

You grin sleepily, nodding against the cushions.

When he returns, a spoon pressed into the small cup of ice cream, he sets it down and pulls you back into his arms without you even having to ask.

And as you take the first bite, Zayne watches you with that soft, unreadable expression, waiting for the sugar rush to ruin both your sleep schedule.

Can you draw a tutorial for full bodies, similar to what you did for faces and heads?

I probably will, but not right away bc I feel like I’m still figuring out anatomy too😅😅 I’m working on it a lot though (the sketches on this blog are mainly so I can keep practicing more dynamic poses & draw more than just a face) & I’m jotting down a lot of tips that are helping me as I learn💓💓 once I have enough I’ll definitely do a write-up & share it with you guys though!! (And I’ll definitely do one for hands too bc I love drawing hands!)

Here are my tips in the meantime, that I’m doing right now (if you’re interested);

1) LOTS of figure drawing, I like to do exercises where I give myself 10 min to draw something, then 5, then 1, then 30 seconds (4 drawings total, I normally just split a page into fourths). Drawing from gifs helps a lot too bc the people are moving and not static.

2) study the masters!! I have huge art books full of gorgeous quality prints, of baroque art, Renaissance, Impressionism…(you can probably find some at the library). This also helps SO MUCH with clothing draping/folds etc. these artists already did the work figuring out how to exaggerate things to make them look as beautiful as possible and we can learn from them😇

3) do studies of your favorite artists on social media!! It helps you figure out WHAT you like about their art, and how you can incorporate it into your own style. (I don’t do this but I should jajajaja). Some of my inspirations on Instagram are: withapencilinhand (super nsfw, look at your own risk😅), hamletmachine, Paul Heaston, Tony DiTerlizzi, etc etc (I can do a full write-up of my fav artists but the list is sooooooo long)

3) focus on drawing rough lines of movement, and build on top of those with shapes. But always focus on getting fluid and natural looking poses 💓 (or just draw noodle limbs like I do) (don’t do that). If I get really lost I force people to take pictures of me and then copy from that 😅 but I know a lot of professional artists & every single one uses references. So don’t be afraid to use them or feel like you’re “cheating” for not being able to just draw something straight from your brain. Bodies are hard to draw! Perspective is hard! Shadows/lighting are hard!

4) think of the bodies you’re drawing as solid forms, and think about line weight & shadows. It helps a lot!!

5) @traceyc-uk shared an amazing article in the comments that explains everything a million times better than I ever could about adding life and movement to poses so they don’t look static🙏😇 I’m linking it here since you can’t click on links in comments🥲

ohhhh i have so many thoughts

ive already talked about this ad nauseum previously but i always have time to discuss my favorites autist

his hatred of sleeves is totally an autistic thing. he just hates sleeves, specifically anything thats not long sleeved or sleeveless

he seems to prefer warm weather. he bundles up sooo much in the winter and he talks about moving back to mexico in s11. he would rather go back to prison than move any more north than chicago

i am once again mentioning that compulsory heterosexuality is absolutely part of mickeys masking. he seems to not gaf about masking about a lot of "typical" autistic things like not understanding social cues/rules or lacking conversation skills. a lot of his masking is more survival based like seeming straight and masculine and tough

^ which makes sense that when he starts unmasking, he likes patterned/hawaiian shirts :') he loves how visually simulating they are and he can tolerate the sleeves bc the fabric is very breathable and light

he really likes loud sounds specifically loud music and ambient/outside sounds like the ones he looks up in s11 to help him fall asleep :) he seems like the kinda person who can only do one thing as once, ie cant listen to music and play video games at the same time. when he does something he has to Devote Himself To It. if hes listen to music thats what hes doing. hes gonna sit there with his giant ass headphones on and stim or just cover his eyes and focus on the lyrics. hes s natural loud talker. he could yell over a jet engine if he wanted to. altho he doesnt like people raising his voice at him for obvious reasons. he cant stand pure silence it makes his skin crawl. ian loves his peace and quiet so mickey often throws on his headphones for parallel play. ian cooks or reads his book in quiet and mickey listens to deftones or doomscrolls on tiktok. parallel play becomes a huuuuge part of their bonding as a married couple :)

when he gets overwhelmed he completely shuts everything out. he acts like a cornered animal and lashes out at anything even if someone is trying to help. he needs space until he calms down or he'll have a meltdown and start throwing/breaking things or causing physical harm. sometimes he becomes too overwhelmed too quickly and completely skips the "shutting everyone out" stage and go straight to getting physical

he stims a lot by hitting or throwing stuff so ian trains him to use soft things like pillows and plushies (he absolutely has a plushie collection) when stimming. i think he also hits himself on the head sometimes. :( (totally not projecting) but be mainly sticks to his regular stims like messing with his eyebrows, chewing his nails, and biting his lip. he has an oral fixation! ian gets him a chew necklace. he likes singing and dancing with ian tho hed never admit it. he likes flapping his hands and jumping but hes still too embarrassed to ever do them. he unconsciously sways and rocks, especially if hes in the same spot for a long time

ian absolutely buys mickeys most of his sensory/stimming shit. lights, weighted blanket, spinner ring, chew jewelry, peelable clear nail polish, bike chain (which we see mickey has on his bedside table in s5 so i 1000% believe this was his first stim toy!!!) toy, tangles, different types of plushies (squishmallow, squishables, jellycat, reversible octopus (mickeys fav they both have at least one for every possible emotion), plushie dreadfuls, palm pals, different shapes and textured fabrics.) ian often steals a lot of these plushies; they are their first children. after they move back to the southside and are doing some work on their house, ian notices mickey still needs the catharsis of breaking shit, so sometimes they go on dates to the junkyard with baseball bats and destroy shit together

mickey literally cant be in the same room with ian when he eats his eggs with ketchup. the concept itself is so gross he cant tolerate it

hes very sensory seeking, again partly because of his oral fixation. he likes spicy food and LOVES sour food. obviously he loves candy and junk food. they have lamps, other small lights, and color changing led lights all over their home. eventually they both fall into a routine of communicating nonverbally using different colors of lights

mickey isnt great at communicating verbally tho he tries. sometimes he just cant, its too overwhelming and he cant think of the words to properly express himself. hes much better at conveying his thoughts thru physical means. this is part autism, part learned during childhood

he learned literally everything he knows about society thru movies. he uses a lot of old slang and makes niche references. he refuses to explain any of them to ian

sometimes he goes nonverbal and he texts only using (sometimes too many) emojis and reaction images that nobody gets except him

most people think hes weird and dont get his sense of humor but ian thinks hes the funniest person on the planet! they often make references to inside jokes in front of other people and it annoys the shit out of everyone

so I’m gonna do my fav head cannons of him that I can come up with …

So three days later I am coming back to this but I found one I thought was fun to do is if Emmanuel was a problem child , good , or in the middle !

So Emmanuel was an interesting case in middle school and high school, he was always spoiled but even knowing that he was still a very well behaved teen …….until we got to science oh when I tell you Emmanuel hated science not only the subject but the teacher and the smell (till this day he still can remember the smell of that room). Emmanuel would act up so much in that class , he got so bored that he would bully kids (not kids that already got bullied,like maybe jocks actually depends on the day)that they had to switch his class so he would be with a different teacher, and different class with different students.

I would say Emmanuel was in the middle during these two periods of his life, he was a cocky little shit and wasn’t humble at all he made sure you know he was better then you not only in school and athletics but in money to well when your dad and mom are probably the most richest, famous and feared people on earth I mean you do have bragging rights! But he was a nice , kind , thoughtful kid when it came to things he liked or people !

A lot of people would say he was mean (still is ) because of how overly protective and aggressive he was towards his stuff or anything he deemed to be his weather that was a person, pencil or animal if you touched it in a anyway shape or form ….just know you were going to end up with a broken finger and a black eye .

But on the contrary he was very giving , he loved grifting some people thing and giving charity never would say no , he did love helping people if his friends said they were struggling at home he would secretly ask his dad to send them money so the next day he could see his friends so happy and excitedly tell him that someone mysteriously gave their parents moneyso they were okay now ! He loved seeing people he cares or cared about happy , he loved doing his work and helping out younger kids in sports or being a language tutor for Korean or helping a younger child with instruments he never cared !

He was always a A+ student never a grade under 95 % (maybe in science…..he really didn’t give af about that ) .

Now when he was in elementary school……..He was a monster , teachers wished and prayed they didn’t have him in their classes not only was he a spoiled brat but he was a cocky smartass (he was really smart for his age skipped about three grades ) which didn’t unfuel his ego but he was raised to be like that . He was a bully in the period from 2-4 he was just a meany , he didn’t talk to anyone , didn’t play with anyone and if he wanted something he was going to get it no matter what .

But he was a sweet heart to some teachers he had over the years in elementary school there was one teacher who took the time to learn Korean for him because all he could speak was broken English and let him each lunch in there with his friends (he only had two around this time ) he acted like he didn’t care but he was still a kid who loved attention and loved to get praised !!

All throughout of elementary school some kids and adults thought he was a troublemaker or a spoiled brat who need a whooping (not wrong) but the other half thought he was a sweetheart from heaven and just the kindest friend or kid ever …..both are true about him but to him it didn’t really matter.

He surprisingly loved school especially in middle school his favorite years he had and when he was in elementary school he surprisingly loved science…don’t know what happened with that one but yeah !

So after all the break down of some of his child like years he was and in the middle child or just a normal kid (that’s where I would put him !!) , tell me where you would put him !!

REASONS TO LOVE SHINTARO AS A CHARACTER:

first of all; hes a gamer boy depicted as he really is and not what he thinks he is: a fucking loser who fails at every social situation and also stinks

aside from the jokes, i think he has two main songs in the whole series: toumei answer and lost time memory. im just gonna share lyrics from each song that makes me go INSANE thinking about him:

"The alarm that starts ringing/Says to my lonely self: you're a coldhearted fool" <- his guilt here is delicious to me like he blames himself for her death and yes he did act shitty and he abandoned her but he didnt do it out of malice he did it bc he didnt know how to approach her but he thinks he killed her and its also killing him OUGH

"The color of your hair/The shape of your smile/Someone might have already forgotten it" <- and then HES the one who forgets everything about ayano bc of the trauma like here he laments that her absence that has already changed his entire world might be this insignificant to someone else AND YET AND YET HIS MIND LOCKS HER OUT ITS JUST. (and who cant relate to wanting to change things bc u lost ur chance before but u cant change anything so u just disappear into ur head trying to either comfort urself by daydreaming or trying to find other stuff, try to forget ur will and wallow in passivity, its just so *chefs kiss*)

i get it hes not a very likable person and he does act shitty and bratty and the anime really doesnt give him the floor to change BUT!!! give him a chance and he WILL become ur poor little meow meow. guaranteed.

he's just a stupid guy and the thing abt shintaro is that he will ALWAYS do what's right. he has a very strong sense of justice and he's very clear on his principles. and he will always speak up for others and stand up for what he thinks is right. and this like... a HILARIOUS virtue for a character who is ALSO so awkward, difficult to approach, bratty and self centered. like that's so funny.he is such a special little guy and HE IS AWESOME

he's so cringe fail and an asshole but he's also the hero and deserves praise for it. like cry about it. he is a good guy but he's also the worst. but also he's the best. hope that helps

i have a stuffed animal called 'duży piesek' (translates to big doggy) that i got when i was 7. my family and i went to a gas station and i couldnt take seeing all the poor stuffed animals in a big bin all alone so i started crying and refused to leave without one. fast forward to today, i still sleep cuddling him Every Night. he is the Perfect Cuddle Size and Shape, and i love him to BITS. ive only recently began worrying about the wear and tear and am actively researching stuffed animal restoration. he is missing an ear (back in middle school i used to smuggle an old phone to bed with me in the ear hole to read fanfiction :P) so i need to Find The Ear before i start any action towards it though.

ahhhhh there is SO MUCH! the main thing is my ep, which im actively working towards making (and so so proud of what i Do have ready), but making music is SO HARDDDD. ive been researching music production courses to make the job easier skhfksdhf. i also ordered some acrylic paint bc i Really Miss painting and want to go back to it soon. i have a vision for a mello inspired painting which will be SO COOL. i think when people actively listen and ask me about things. ive always struggled with believing that people care about what ive got to say, or want to know how im going, so getting asked a question is often revolutionary to me......which probably means ive not been surrounding myself with Very Good Friends 😭 im working on this though, and keeping the kindest people closest, and not letting people's lack of interest chew into my self esteem :3 baby steps!

@vorareromantic has been such an absolute godsend to me. i have no idea what id do without them, especially recently with a LOT of death surrounding me. first my granny a couple weeks back, then just on saturday my good friend. it's been So Much and theyve been so absolutely sweet and amazing about it. i know i can always rely on them and call them if im struggling, and i never have to worry about bothering them. at some point they stayed up talking to me till like 7am their time 😭 penny i LOVE YOU!!!!!!!! Let's look at the facts:

-Sasuke is never in the Leaf and avoids his family, not bothering to keep in touch with them via hawk/phone. IDC how ss shippers try to argue, but Sasuke dropped cherry blossom girl and sarada at the leaf when she was a baby and then left. He came back once to take on the mission while Naruto was Hokage and left again. When he sees cherry blossom girl in gaiden he's like 'why are you here?' During their family meal he's frowning. Kishimoto also implied Sasuke didn't kiss cherry blossom girl twice. She didn't even know if he wore glasses and taped a picture of herself and sarada over Team Taka's. What about this situation screams happiness?

-Naruto is busy with Hokage duties sure, but when he does have the opportunity to go home, he prefers to stay in the office. He sleeps on the couch and doesn't stay with his family for important events, instead opting to send shadow clones. In one of the rare moments we gets to see him spend time with his family, Hinata cries while watching a romance show on TV, meanwhile Naruto just falls asleep at the table next to her.

-While that's going on, Naruto and Sasuke frequently keep in touch, meet up in secret together (probs at Sasuke's fav restaurant), communicate via hawk/phone. Naruto was willing to drop everything to go with Sasuke on his mission. They become so animated when they're with each other, teasing, acting like a married couple. They parent Boruto together, and even Sarada complains that Sasuke pays more attention to Boruto than to her. The theme of gaiden was bonds. At every opportunity Naruto wasn't reminded of his family, but of Sasuke. Naruto even mentions the shape of Sasuke's eyes being similar to Sarada's. Like fr? Calling Sasuke cool and handsome... like we get it Naruto, Sasuke is your type. I also talk about this more in my gaiden analysis post.

So, considering the above - what can we extrapolate from this? Saying that SNS prefer each other over their families isn't a stretch, it's canon. It's in the text.

That being said, I don't think they'll ever be explicitly confirmed - like I don't think we'll ever see SNS explicitly say the words 'I love you'. But I don't think they need to. They may have not said those exact words, but they've already told each other how they feel about each other in other words, and through their actions. In a way, isn't that more meaningful? Cherry blossom girl and H both said 'I love you' to SNS and look at their relationships.

So I don't think SNS need to say the words 'I love you' to show how much they love each other. Actions speak louder than words. And while we don't have 'I love you', we do have:

General Headcanons

Leslie Vernon:

Lemme start off with my gender/sexuality hcs, he’s a bisexual trans man.

Leslie was most definitely a theater kid. He got quite good at it, both as the lead role or multiple side parts. It’s part of why he was able to be so convincing about his story, and it’s where he was able to learn a lot of the archetypes that he relies on for his victims.

He’s always considered getting a dog, but he knows he wouldn’t be able to take care of it. He still thinks about it though, he wanted to have a trained attack dog to help him with his hunts.

He could probably recite to you some of Grimm’s fairy-tales, they were his favorite growing up and even now he has a soft spot for them.

He’s not one to cook for himself, his house is full of instant meals and protein shakes. He has more important things to do.

When he does want to indulge, though, he’ll find himself a competent butcher and he’ll get a blue steak. He can’t really explain why, but he likes it a lot more than preparing any other way.

For less special meals, he just really enjoys eating with Eugene and Jamie (hehe that’s my name), their cooking isn’t anything spectacular, but it’s better than what he’s got at home, and he’ll never pass up an opportunity to get some advice from his mentor.

For hobbies, he always says that he doesn’t have time for them, he’s preparing for his next hunt and all, and he has to keep in shape. If he ever does let himself have free time, he’ll listen to podcasts or audiobooks while he writes horror stories.

Kind of a side note to the last one, he’s insanely good at multitasking, to the point where he can be writing while skimming through a book and listening to music.

Asa Emory:

Asa is a masculine non-binary, using any pronouns except she/her. He’s androsexual.

Of course, some of his hobbies we already know about, like taxidermy, kidnapping, etc…

he also enjoys sculpting! He’s not very fond of other mediums, but he likes working with clays a lot.

He spends the little free time he has enjoying sculpting whatever comes to mind.

He’s got a more expensive taste than he should on the budget of a college professor. He goes to fancier restaurants sometimes, when he can afford it, eavesdropping on the other patrons while he waits for his food. He always ends up getting some type of “strange” delicacy like tripe, cow tongue, or escargot. He’s definitely up to eating bugs, and he insists that animal parts shouldn’t be wasted.

When he can’t afford to spend that much, he goes for a more balanced homemade meal, usually something spicy.

His dogs are mostly strays that he’s found and their offspring. He takes very good care of them!

He had a lot of respect for Arkin, seeing his skill and potential. If he hadn’t already planned on collecting someone, he would’ve definitely taken him.

He’s very proud of those that make it into his collection, especially Abby. He always introduces his bait to them, taking pride in how far they’ve come under his guidance.

He only does this because his bait isn’t intended to live to tell the tale, he’d like to show more people, like a museum. He’s a little upset that he can’t show the world his collection, but he’s smarter than that.

Freddy Krueger:

He’s a cisgender man, and he’s bisexual with a male lean.

He’s the type to sit there and debate the pros and cons of dating someone with every type of body shape, but his conclusion is always that he doesn’t really care.

In his life, when he was bored, he’d go out and loudly judge people in public. He always liked to see them get upset, especially when it was parents trying to keep their cool around their kids. It’s just incredibly amusing to him.

He can’t really eat actual food anymore, but when he was alive, he was a fan of barbecue. Yes, he sees the irony in that now.

He gets bored easily if he’s not scaring or harassing people in their dreams. During the day, he likes to do wood carving, which he always liked, and now he has the benefit that he can’t slice up his hand in the dream world.

Sometimes he’ll watch people's dreams for fun, particularly the ones where the person is super embarrassed. He thinks it’s funny to watch a middle aged man panic because he needs to use the bathroom, but the only toilet is in the center of a giant crowd. To be fair, I think that’d be pretty funny, too. He also, unsurprisingly, enjoys watching people’s more risqué dreams. He hasn’t seen or touched a swimsuit magazine in like 53 years, give him a break.

ARCHITECTURE! 😭😭 or anything that has a similarly purposeful design theory behind it like furniture/interiors/appliances etc.

I've always been an Organics Shapes guy, things in nature don't really have a very specific way they form, meaning you can mess around and it'd still look pretty good, meaning there are fewer ways to fuck it up, meaning it's way easier for me to draw adkjlsdsljk So I stick to natural landscapes and people and animals more often than not.

I admire anyone who's good at drawing them tho! I love buildings and room interiors, would love to actually draw them someday.

- 5. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously?

HM, I don't think "anything and everything" is the best answer lmao. It can be anything, really! Though if I were to be very specific, I'd say the thing that affects my inspiration the most is what I'm feeling in the moment!

If I'm feeling bored or apathetic I won't be drawing. It's easier to put pen to paper when you're pushed by a certain emotion, especially strong emotions. This is essentially why most of the art I draw is ship art, the dopamine hit from these fictional characters is like no other.

(otherwise, anything that Looks A Certain Cool Way on accident, like how deer antlers are sprayed w light reflecting paint so they don't get hit at night, which makes them look like they've got the coolest and most fuckt up halo ever.)

6. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically?

oof, to be honest, all the media I love, I love mostly because of its inspiring artistic or conceptual merit.

Oh! But I was only thinking of visual media there. I think books are the one thing that I rarely, if ever, get the urge to draw something for.

The only books I remember ever drawing any fanart for were the Skullduggery Pleasant series whereas one of my fave books, The Girl With All The Gifts, has never inspired any art from me.

Idk if you recall that "how do you see the apple in your head?" chart from a while back but in it, I'd be anywhere from a 3 to a 5. I actually can't visualize things well in my head!

So, unlike in fanfic where I probably already have a reference for how things look and can vaguely imagine a scenario (then draw that scenario), with books I'm often literally left in the dark and don't get that same burst of inspiration to draw.

Description: A day trip to the zoo with Reader!

A/N: First and foremost! Both boys and the Reader are in an established poly relationship, are Pro!Heroes, and are aged 21+. Bet y’all can’t guess where I went today lol. Today had hella Shinsou vibes, and of course I will forever love the green ball of sunshine that is Izuku Midoriya, so this happened. Enjoy!

A Day At The Zoo

-It’s so rare that the three of you ever end up with the same day off together, so most of the time you have to plan ahead if you want to have outings or adventures, the zoo included!

-It was Deku’s idea first. Well, not idea per se; he just suggested it in passing and you hopped on that train of thought so freaking fast! A whole day spent looking at cute animals with your cute boyfriends? Um, yes please!

-Shinsou had never been to the zoo before, so he didn’t really understand the hype at first. What exactly was the point in visiting animals other than cats? Especially when you can’t pet or hold them? But if it made you and Izuku happy, then who was he to say no?

-Izuku recommended a zoo that was a little bit farther away than your local one, but it had so much more than the typical barnyard animals at yours. He’d gone a few times himself for fundraisers and meetings but you and Shinsou had never been there before.

-So the three of you planned out a day in advance, took the day off from your respective places of work, and thus, the adventure began!

-You talked about it for weeks beforehand, right up until you were parked at the front gates. “Are you guys excited? Because I am SO excited! I’m gonna pet the goats, and the stingrays, and the sharks, and look at all the birds, and take so many pictures-!”

-The first thing you spot is the giant monarch butterfly chilling on the flowers outside of the front gates, so you already know it’s gonna be a good day. You already have your camera whipped out to take a pic.

-Izuku thinks it’s the cutest thing, and Shinsou is literally taking a picture of you taking a photo of the butterfly. The butterfly might be photogenic, but honestly, he thinks you’re the real work of art here.

-The three of you pay and no sooner than when the receipt was in Shinsou’s hand were you running off to the first exhibit, both boys trying to keep up with your pace so they didn’t lose you.

-The first exhibit had some arctic animals like polar bears and seals, which you watched for a while with a content smile on your face. The bears were up and playing around with a dented bucket and a huge rubber ball, and you got some really cool pictures of them. Izuku even managed to get a video of a seal gliding through their underwater tunnel.

-Once again Shinsou is taking pictures of you taking pictures of the animals, because he thinks it’s absolutely adorable. He has this little smirk on his face as he watches you from the camera lens. Although he has to admit, the polar bears are super cute. 

-You keep bouncing around from exhibit to exhibit. One moment the boys are watching the wolves with you, and the next, you’ve wandered over to the giraffes by yourself. Shinsou briefly wonders if they should invest in one of those backpacks with a leash for you.

-Eh, they can just use Izuku’s arms instead. At some point in the day, you’re not really sure when, Izuku just resulted in wrapping his arms around you and holding you while you’re looking at exhibits to keep you from running off. He likes to rest his chin on your head and listen to you gush about how cute the animals are.

-And when you’re walking from place to place, you can bet he’s immediately reaching for your hand to lace his fingers in yours. You end up in between him and Shinsou who also wants to hold hands with you.

-You point out all the animals, even the ones that aren’t a part of the zoo, and the boys think it’s endearing. “Awe, look at this dove over here in it’s nest! Isn’t it so cute!?”

-”Y/N, I don’t think-” He’s being good-natured about it and laughing because he finds it sweet, but Izuku can’t finish his sentence because Hitoshi is slapping a hand over his mouth.

-”Just let them be. It’s precious.”

-”Hello, Mr. Squirrel!” You probably name all of the local ducks and geese walking around, too.

-Eventually you guys make it to the aviary, and you start to explore all the bird exhibits.

-Shinsou, immediately: “It’s so loud in here.”

-Izuku seems to know little random bits of information on the birds, and really enjoys watching them fly around.

-”Shinsou,” you beg him, “can you take my picture next to this giant bird!?”

-He perks up a little after that. Also, he already took your picture. He’s super sneaky and really good at taking pics while you’re not looking. Some of the best photos he has of you and Izuku are candids he took without you knowing. Nothing terrible; they’re all literally still shots of your smiles, your eyes, or just of the two of you doing routine things. His whole camera roll is full of you and Izuku.

-After the birds, you come to the penguin exhibit.

-Penguins just so happen to be Izuku’s favorite animal at the zoo. He loves how they waddle around without a care in the world, and he thinks their black and white patterns are just so unique!

-Definitely embarrasses Shinsou by imitating the penguin walk. He’s a goofball with the two of you, you know he would! And you’re right there with him, following him around with your hands at your sides as you waddle behind him. 

-”I don’t know them,” Shinsou jokes with the people next to you. But he loves you both, you can tell by the way he’s smiling. He thinks it’s cute how the two of you act like this together...in a dorky way, but still.

-Finally, you guys get to the aquarium. The moment you step through the door, Shinsou is practically mesmerized by the fish. He’s never seen so many before; there’s so many colors and shapes and sizes...

-He feels peaceful while he’s watching them swim around.

-You like all the really weird fish. Izuku likes the tropical ones with all the crazy colors, and Shinsou...

-He loves the moon jellies. The second he stepped in front of that tank, he was gone. You and Izuku just watch him for a moment as he relaxes his shoulders and stares into purple tinted waters, totally serene and carefree.

-Izuku takes a 2 minute long video of him bc the moment is just so precious. RIP anyone else who wanted to look at the jellyfish today, bc Shinsou’s literally been there for like 10 minutes now

-Shinsou decides he really likes the zoo after that. Every other exhibit is much more enjoyable and he’s in such a better mood. Not that he was in a bad mood when he first got there, it’s just that he didn’t see the point in all of it at first. 

-Izuku also spends a while looking at the sea turtles, which happen to be his second favorite animal.

-You guys spent the most amount of time in the aquarium no thanks to Hitoshi, but you did manage to make it to the museum before it closed for the afternoon as well.

-Izu reads all the plaques out loud to the two of you and tells you all about the animals and displays. Some of them are interactive, and you can’t help yourself from pressing every single button and listening to the noises and information it gives you.

-There’s a section in the museum where you can pet stingrays. You had never done something like that before, and neither had the boys, so the three of you decided to give it a go.

-It was so soft.

-Stingrays feel like wet velvet, almost. 

-Izuku decides he’s done so he just ends up taking pictures of you and Shinsou. But soon you’re done too so you grab Hitoshi to leave, however-

-You and Izuku are walking away and suddenly: “Uh, Y/N? Wasn’t Shinsou with you?” “No, I thought he was with you?” “Where’s our boyfriend!?”

-You turn back around and he’s still there petting the stingrays. He’s SO fascinated, please don’t make him leave. He’s having the time of his life! It melts both of your rapidly beating hearts (you know, from the mini heart attack you had bc your other third was missing for a second).

-You both let him stay there for however long he wants, and when he reluctantly leaves (finally), you make your way to the giant gift shop at the end of the zoo.

-You guys buy so much stuff it’s not even funny. Partly because as Pros, you have the money to spend, and partly because you want to support the zoo so you can come back. They always appreciate business and donations.

-Speaking of donations, Izuku whips out his checkbook and makes a huge donation to a cause for sea turtles. The zoo is super thankful and you couldn’t be more proud. 

-You’re sure that if there was fund for jellyfish, Shinsou would be donating too.

-You all end up buying each other a plush of your fav animals; Izu gets a penguin, Shinsou gets a jellyfish, and you get your favorite animal too.

-You may or may not have bought a shirt as well... It has the zoo’s museum name on it along with some really cute animals.

-All in all a really great day! 

Bonus Content:

-Shinsou wants to book another trip as soon as you all are back home. He loves the zoo now and he wants to go, like, all of the time.

-You and Izu have caught him watching jellyfish videos on youtube on more than one occasion. He finds them relaxing and can’t wait to go see the real thing again.
