I thought you'd be different | James Potter
Pairing: James Potter x Slytherin!Fem!Reader
Word Count: 4.6k
Summary: A cinderella story (maybe a little romeo and juliet while we're at it) but Hogwarts - Enemies-ish to lovers. You find an enchanted parchment through wich you anonymously talk to a stranger (James). When you meet him at the Yule ball, he is not who you expected, but you give him a chance. When you realise that was clearly a mistake, you flee cinderella style.
Probably part one of two again.
Notes: Not proofread, grammar mistakes. Discrimination issues, themes of bullying. Regulus is our friend. James is an idiot, but we knew that already. Sirius sucks.
Masterlist. Part two. Part three
--------------------------------
You could still remember the moment vividly, as if it was engraved in your memory. That moment when the sorting hat placed you in Slytherin instead of Gryffindor like your two older sisters had been sorted. You could still see the look of surprise, concern, horror and then eventually disgust, every time you close your eyes.
âNow we finally know your true colors,â is what your sister Alyssa had hissed coldly at you. You had pleadingly looked at your other sister, but Marla had supported her twin sister, disregarding the confused and scared look in your eleven-year-old eyes.
âDonât talk to us, donât look at us and donât mention us at all,â she sneered down at you and for a moment you wondered how she hadnât been the one to be sorted into Slytherin instead. But you had cast your eyes down and agreed.
But years passed and you had become the very stereotype of a Slytherin student, completely leaning into the cold, distant, quiet but calculating persona that your sisters had created for you. Might as well, you figured after your parentâs dismay at the revelation of your house.
You were making your way down the corridor, long strides as you passed your sisters while looking them straight in the eye. They grimaced at the sight of you, but without their entire group of classmates, they didnât dare make any comments. A feeling of victory erupted inside of you, and you couldnât help the small smirk that crept up your face.
âWhat poor soul suffered for you to look so satisfied?â You turned your head to look at the person who called out to you. James Potter and Sirius Black were both leaning against a statue in the open yard. âDid you get rid of Regulus or something?â Sirius taunted. âFinally had enough of him following you around, did you L/N?â
âGo die in a ditch, Sirius,â you retorted with an eye roll, but seemed unphased.
âWhy so much hostility,â James unpleasantly remarked, and you halted in your step. â10 points from Gryffindor for loitering,â you pettily decided.
âIf you have nothing to do, other than insulting students, I would love to recommend you to Professor McGonagall for detention. Heard she was still looking for the person who made all the pumpkins explode last week during Halloween, and you guys are terrible at getting rid of the evidence.â With a last glance up and down, you continued your way towards the room of requirement.
When you entered the sober room with a sigh, you noticed the small scrolled up piece of parchment in the middle of the room. You frowned. This was your space. The room didnât open this space for anyone else, you made it specifically as a safe haven.
You cautiously approached the parchment and rolled it open to reveal nothing. It was completely blank. You shrugged. If the room left this here, it was meant for you, and so you took a seat and started drawing on it.
James sat in an empty room, his invisibility cloak hiding him from plain sight as he pulled the now folded paper from his back pocket. He inspected it closely, almost pressing the paper to his glasses in a curious manner. He had gone to the Room of Requirements earlier that day and found a piece of paper floating in the air.
James unfolded the paper, and his eyebrows flew up. Lines were appearing on the paper by itself, and a beautiful portrait of a weeping willow with a girl, crying on a bench under the tree appeared.
James fumbled to find his quill and ink. Then he started to write something on it, in a handwriting that he only ever used for written exams. Credits to Professor McGonagall, who had announced that she would not be grading anything she couldnât read. And she had looked over her glasses at him while she said it.
Itâs beautiful.
You dropped the parchment at the words that formed right under your drawing. You traced it with your fingers. Then you decided to write back.
Thank you, Iâve been dreaming about this for the past two days.
You frowned at yourself, unsure why you would disclose such information, but figured no one would be able to trace this back to you anyway.
James blinked at the response he got, mouth open in surprise. He wasnât sure why he was so surprised. It must simply be a spell of some sort after all. He stared at the sad drawing and the sentence, and then he made up his mind, writing back.
It must be lonely for that girl to cry by herself under the weeping willow.
Your eyes followed the words that formed in a trance.
If she ever feels lonely again, she can always pour her heart out on this parchment. Iâll be the mighty guardian wizard that will make all her worries magically disappear.
A grateful smile made its way up your face and when you scribbled back a response, James couldnât help but smile as well.
Maybe she will.
You doodled a wizard sitting on the bench next to the crying girl, a consoling hand stretched out.
That's how you became Jamesâ best kept secret. He learned that you were indeed a student at Hogwarts, but that you felt lonely. That you enjoyed butterbeer, but never got to enjoy it on a Hogsmeade outing with friends, because you rarely had any. He learned that you felt inferior to your siblings and a disappointment to your parents. He noticed how you would draw a circle as the dot on your âiâ and learned, when he asked, that you did that because you had once seen Professor McGonagall do that when you were in your first year, and had practiced mimicking her handwriting, should it ever come in handy.
In return, he had told you that he felt pressured by the reputation that he had to maintain. He loved Quidditch and absolutely despised Ancient Runes, to which you had replied, âwho doesnât?â. He told you that he had illegally learned to become an Animagus, a stag, and that he wasnât sure yet what the future would hold for him. He even revealed to you that he desperately wants to protect his friends and sometimes had nightmares, which usually resulted in a sneak around the castle at midnight. When you had asked him if heâd ever been caught, he responded with, âneverâ, and had explained to you that he had an invisibility cloak.
Two months passed and before you knew it, you were explaining Transfiguration through the enchanted parchment. You did conclude from this that your pen pal was most likely in a year or two higher than yourself but decided not to comment on it. James on the other hand, was under the assumption that you must be from his year, as you managed to help him study for his exams.
But now, it was almost 12 oâclock midnight, and James chewed his lip while he looked at the parchment. He hesitated for a moment. Then he decided to ask you the one question he had been yearning to know the answer to.
Who are you?
You looked at the paper sadly, and sighed.
Youâd be disappointed.
I understand if you donât want to reveal yourself. But know that I could never be disappointed by you, Willow.
James sighed when you didnât answer anymore. He waved away the light that emitted from the tip of his wand and took his glasses off. He went to put the parchment under his pillow as usual, when he saw the scribbling movement that heâd gotten so accustomed to.
He scrambled to grab his wand to shed light on the paper but accidentally nudged them off the nightstand and onto the floor, where it rolled under his bed. Jamesâ eyes flickered back to the paper in his hand, and he managed to catch the first letter of your name as it was written in capital letters.
But your cursive handwriting, the dark and lack of glasses made it impossible to read the rest of your name. When he finally reached his wand and put on his glasses, he heard the clock strike twelve and he cursed as he grasped the parchment tightly, hurried âlumosâ and saw that the parchment had reset itself to a blank page again, just as every night at 12 oâclock at midnight.
Wait, please! I didnât catch it before it erased itself. Please write it again?
You let out a sigh in relief after you had internally bashed your head against a wall.
No, it was stupid of me. Iâm glad you didnât see it.
You leaned back into your armchair with a racing heart. You couldnât believe you had done that.
âRegulus,â you acknowledged as you pulled the chair back to sit next to him in the library. âY/N,â Regulus quietly responded without looking up from his book, and if you didnât know any better, his straight face would indicate annoyance. Luckily, you did know better.
âYou smile any brighter, the sorting hat will transfer you to Hufflepuff, you know,â you teased him.
His face distorted in a grimace and without missing a beat, he replied, âdo kill me before such a thing occurs.â You shook your head and finally sat down. Then you pursed your lips in thought.
âYou know how Iâve been working all summer to earn galleons?â
âNo.â
âWell I did.â
âSo it seems.â
âAnyway, I rented a small flat,â you blurted out. Regulus finally looked up at you, surprise almost evident on his face. Then again, you didnât have the most amazing home situation either. You often opted to stay behind at Hogwarts for the holidays. It is how you two had befriended each other, especially ever since Sirius left him to his own devices at home. Parents, it was a trauma bonding thing.
âCongratulations,â he nodded, his voice trailed off as he tried to see how this would concern him.
âSo I thought you might want to stay with me over the Christmas holidays? Your mother doesnât hate me, so I thought it might be possible. Gives you a chance to get out once in a while.â You tentatively brought up the sensitive subject.
âAnd what makes you think living with you will be any more bearable than living in my own mansion?â Regulus snarkily remarked.
You squinted your eyes at him in a scowl. âA simple ânoâ would suffice donât you think?â
âDo I have to pay rent?â
âDepends on whether or not the answer impacts your decision.â
âSo not then.â
You huffed.
âFine, I suppose I could join you in your small flat.â
âMerlin, donât go doing me any favors Reg, I wouldnât want to owe you.â
Regulus shook his head in amusement.
Satisfied with your rather successful attempt to invite him over, you got up. The chair you sat on screeched loudly as it was being pushed back. You could feel the librarianâs furious eyes on your back and rolled your eyes at her as you made your way to the door. âAlright, alright, Iâm leaving,â you waved your hand in the air and exited the room.
You made it approximately two steps when you spotted your sisters again. âOf course you would cause a disturbance in the library,â Marla spat at you. You raised your eyebrows but remained unimpressed.
âI see youâve got your buddies to back you up now?â you commented and tilted your chin slightly upwards. Your eyes flickered to your other sister, their closest friends, and the marauders.
For a moment, you considered walking away, but there was just something about that twitching lip of your sister that had you irked.
You stepped forward, narrowing the gap between you and your sister. You leaned in slightly and then, âBoo.â
It took your other sister, Alyssa about one second to have her wand pulled out and pointed at your throat.
James watched the interaction with a small frown on his face. He didnât really speak with the fellow Gryffindor twins, but their friends and Lily were friends, so the marauders had joined them on their way towards the courtyard.
His mind flickered to a conversation he had had with âWillowâ about her sisters, and he wondered if you felt the same sadness and inferiority as his pen pal. And with that in mind, he pulled Alyssa back by her robe with one harm, the other lowering her raised wand.
âLetâs not,â he shrugged, when she raised her brows in question at him.
âShe clearly threatened my sister,â Alyssa defended.
You scoffed at that. âI said âbooâ. Thatâs hardly a threat,â you rolled your eyes and glanced at James who tried to offer you something that resembled a smile.
Was he mocking you? âFancy yourself a hero, donât you, Potter.â
âHey, I was just trying to help,â he raised his hands in defense.
âCause youâre such a good soul,â you sarcastically remarked.
âYeah, actually. At least better than you. That hostility is so uncalled for,â Sirius mumbled under his breath, and you shot him a glare. âRight, better than me. Let me ask the two-dozen tormented Slytherin students youâve bullied this past year. Bet Snape will buy your self-proclaimed âkindnessâ.â
You were already walking away when Sirius opened his mouth to call something out to you, but James kicked his shins in attempt to shut him up. Your words resonated in his mind.
Maybe he was a twat.
Am I a twat?
What the bloody hell are you on about?
Someone called me a twat today. Now that wasnât necessarily true, but the implications were there.
Did you deserve it?
Sort of.
Sort of?
I mean, I am only an asshole to people who are assholes themselves and deserve it. But I guess that makes me an asshole too.
You hesitated for a moment and decided to write your opinion on the matter.
Maybe you being an asshole to people makes them assholes. And then it becomes a vicious circle. Self-fulfilling prophecy and all that bogger.
You reckon?
Wouldnât have written it down if I didnât.
On a brighter note, do you have a date for the Yule ball after the exams?
If youâre asking me out, I already promised my friend that weâd go together.
Oh right. But would you save me a dance? Maybe at midnight under the main crystal chandelier?
James bit his lip again in suspense. The Yule ball is a masked ball anyways, if you donât want to reveal yourself.
Midnight, main crystal chandelier. You decided to leave it at that. Besides. You could enchant the mask a little extra, so youâd be even more unrecognizable. You wondered who would be behind the kind words of the parchment.
It felt strange to you. Really looking forward to something to the point you could feel jitters in your stomach in anticipation. But it was having a certain effect on you that even the younger Black couldnât help but miss.
Regulus squinted his eyes and moved his jaw in thought. When he had had enough, he pulled you aside.
âOut with it.â
You deflated. You knew that he knew what he was talking about, so you shrugged. âSomeone asked me to save a dance next week,â you mumbled.
âAnd you want to?â Regulusâ tone shifted to an incredulous one.
âI found an enchanted parchment in the room of requirements and itâs connected. Iâve been using it to have conversations with a mystery person.â
It felt great to be able to share this with your friend and you leaned against the wall behind you. âSo yeah.â You finished the confession with an awkward hand gesture.
Regulus took a moment to register what you said. And then, as if it was the most normal thing ever, he responded with, âI see. And you have no idea who?â
You let yourself slide down the wall and tiredly put your head on your propped up knees. âProbably a Gryffindor.â
Regulus started laughing. You snapped your head up and scowled at him, not that he was used to anything else from you.
âAs long as itâs not a mudbl-â
You kicked his legs and made him lose his balance. You shot him a warning glance. âYou know my opinion on that.â
Regulus sighed. You had once confided in him about your home situation, including that time when you had overheard your parents argue when you came home for the first time after having been sorted into Slytherin. Your father had addressed the matter as soon as you walked through the door.
âYouâre no daughter of mine.â He had said with disapproval in his voice. It wasnât meant as a figurative insult. It was a statement. Your father believed that you could simply not biologically be his daughter. The words had you avert your eyes to the floor in shame.
âMy entire bloodline has been sorted into Gryffindor.â He had looked at your mother. âYour family does have Slytherins. Sheâs most likely the result of your affair with that muggle a decade ago. It is possible.â And just like that, he had practically disowned you.
âOkay,â Regulus relented. âWeâll see who it is next week.â
James was nervously looking around, standing partnerless in the middle of the dancefloor. He had long forgone the mask that he had chosen because it prevented him from using his glasses. He looked at the great clock just above the table with drinks and pulled a hand through his hair.
It was time, so where were you? Hopefully you hadnât chickened out yet because he was absolutely dying to meet you.
There was just something about you. It sparked something in him that he hadnât felt since Lily. Heâd look forward to your messages all the time. Every morning, he practically jumped up in anticipation and excitement as he reached under his pillow to read your âgood morningâ message for the day. A smile would pass his lips each time.
James was ripped from his thoughts when a hand was placed on his shoulder blade. It tapped twice. He stopped breathing for a moment before turning around. And then the breath was knocked out of both of you completely.
For two different reasons.
James stared in awe at you. You wore a white and silver dress, covered in diamonds. A delicate white mask covered the upper part of your face, and he stared intently at your eyes, but somehow, he still couldnât pinpoint who you were.
He could see all of your features clearly, but as if he was in a dream, he somehow couldnât piece everything together to identify you. A charm, he realized. He was disappointed but shook it off. If you felt insecure, then he wouldnât push it.
Jamesâ face broke out in a grin, and he stepped forward. He couldnât help but reach out to your face. But you took a step back. His hand fell and he frowned at your reaction, suddenly scared. He wasnât wearing a mask after all. Compared to you, he was completely vulnerable.
Before he could say anything, you cut him to it. âNo,â you hoarsely managed. âThis was a mistake.â You turned around and escaped from the center of the dancefloor. James chased you.
âWait, please. Iâm sorry!â He called out after you.
You slowed your pace when you reached the corner next to the staircase. Then you shook your head with a sight, and you pinched your nose. James could see your furrowed brows.
âYou have nothing to be sorry about. But my intention wasnât to dance with James Potter. It was a mistake. Sorry for wasting your time.â
James shook his head in his turn. âDonât say that,â his eyes pleaded. âSo you know who I am. Am I..â He hesitated. âAm I that bad? I donât know if youâve heard any rumors about me, or what made you have a bad impression of me, but Iâm the one youâve been talking to for the past months.â He looked at you desperately. âGive me a chance, please. I only ask for a dance.â
Your eyes flickered over his sad face. You knew James from all the pranks that he did, mostly committed towards your house. You knew him from the banters you had with him, and from crying students that you undid hexes for. You knew him from pushing him out of the way as he purposely blocked your path to throw insults at you.
But you also knew the boy from the enchanted paper. The one who listened to all your worries. Who offered advice and indulged into your hopes and dreams for the future. You knew the boy who confided in you all his deepest secrets and own insecurities. Who made your day and cheered you up with his jokes and positivity.
âI can give you a dance,â you caved, and you offered him your hand, which he scrambled to hold.
James was a fairly decent dance partner, you soon discovered as he guided you with grace. âSo I suppose you dance often?â
âI just practiced a lot,â he sheepishly admitted. âI had to impress you somehow, you know. Someone like you had to be crazy out of my league after all.â
Your lips twitched. âI think youâve got it all backwards, Potter.â
âYou know you can call me James, right?â
âWell, James,â you enunciated his name. It felt weird on your tongue. You had only ever spoken his last name in contempt. âIâm not very liked by more than half the students of this castle.â You motioned towards your mask. âHence the enchantment,â you added halfheartedly.
âYou donât have to tell me who you are,â James immediately assured you, and you did relax at his words. âIâm just really happy that youâre real.â
You let out a laugh. âWhy would I not be real?â
âI donât know,â James whined. âMaybe I was just talking to really sentient paper or something?â
His answer only made you laugh more. Jamesâ grin only spread wider.
âWhoever you are, I wouldnât judge you,â James added quietly. You watched him silently as you swayed around the room.
âThatâd be a first,â you joked sadly, remembering your own family.
âWhat can I say, Iâm just different,â James cheekily winked and then twirled you around.
âWeâll see about that, James. You have the rest of the night to convince me.â
The dance ended and you curtsied to each other, out of breath. âBut youâll have to excuse me while I go find a bench because my feet are killing me. These heels are no joke,â you groaned in pain and sort of started to limp your way back.
James quickly came to support you and held your waist as he escorted you back to the side of the room. When you discovered that there were not in fact any benches, you sat down on the first few steps of the staircase. He raised his eyebrows when you kicked off your heels and saw that the entire slipper was made of glass.
âI transfigured those shoes myself, you know,â you proudly stated. James looked at it in disbelief. âThis can carry a human weight?â
âYeah, it took a lot of different enchantments and attempts,â you admitted.
Jamesâ disbelief changed to awe. He took a seat next to you and you two started chatting about random things. You looked at Jamesâ profile as he talked about Quidditch and felt soft towards him. Maybe he really wasnât so bad after all.
The two of you were deep into a conversation when you were interrupted .
âWho is this, Prongs?â Sirius curiously stepped forward and shook your hand. You couldnât help but grimace at him.
You politely nodded and explained the situation, but even though you engaged into a civil, nonchalant conversation, you couldnât help but feel uncomfortable at the presence of Jamesâ friends.
âAnyways,â Sirius leans in towards James. âDid you see Snape over there?â He nodded his head towards Snape, and you squinted your eyes at the boy in front of you.
âYouâre not thinking of doing anything to him, are you,â you sharply asked. Both James and Sirius were taken aback by your new tone.
âNothing harmful,â Sirius laughed, but it faded when you simply raised your eyebrows at him. Sirius looked towards James for help. James hesitated. He had been reluctant to indulge Siriusâ ideas ever since his conversation with you about being a twat. But Sirius was his friend.
âWeâre just having a bit of fun,â James tried to explain. âWeâre just joking around, besides, heâs in Slytherin, so definitely a blood supremacist.â Your face fell at his words.
You watched his features contort in disgust and suddenly you were eleven again, and all you could see was your sisters disgusted face.
By the time you had snapped out of it, Sirius was already making his way towards Snape. James had gotten up and his head flickered between you and his friend.
You got up as well.
âI really thought youâd be different, James.â You scoffed to yourself. âYou really had me convinced there for a moment. But I understand that youâre really just a bully after all, blinded by prejudice. You really are a twat.â
Jamesâ heart dropped at hearing you say those words. He felt ashamed and shook his head pleadingly as he searched for words. But the thing is, you couldnât care less, because you were hurt too. So you turned around and fled up the stairs as fast as you could, just in case he would come after you.
âHey Prongs, you coming or not?â Sirius called out. James looked back at Sirius as he contemplated his next move. He mouthed ânoâ, and then tried to run after you. But by the time he reached the hallway that you had disappeared to, you were nowhere in sight.
In denial, James ran towards the moving staircases and looked up, in hopes to find you there.
Had he looked down, maybe he would have caught the last shimmer of reflection of the diamonds on your dress.
James refused to give up, however and he started to knock on the paintings, hoping that they could tell him where you went. He just had to apologize.
A symphony of protests and yelling echoed within the hall. âQuiet you!â âHave you no respect for the sleeping?â âI will complain to Filch about this, young man!â âLeave us alone!â
When the voices resided, most portraits were empty, their contents having escaped elsewhere.
Defeated, James groaned and hit his head with his fists. âYou stupid git!â he yelled out in frustration at himself. James slouched down to sit on the stairs. Then he reached for the parchment and a pen in the inner pocket of his jacket and started scrambling something down.
âPlease answer,â he whispered. He almost had to laugh at how pathetic he must look.
You sat on your bed after having made your way to the Slytherin dorms.
Iâm sorry. Youâre right, I shouldnât have said that. I donât know why I said that. Iâm stupid and I ruined everything. Please let me make it up to you. I enjoy being with you, I donât want you to think of me like this.
Like I said before, this was clearly a mistake.
James read your words over and over again and he buried his face in his hands in shame. He stayed there for a long while and by the time he returned to the room, the party was over, and people had started returning to bed. On the left side of the staircase were your enchanted glass slippers precisely where youâd kicked the off and left them.

the bachelorette
hello everyone! i decided to go ahead and post this. there will be a part two, not entirely sure when that will be out!
i am so thankful for all the new followers and the amount of likes on my recent work. thank you!!!
divider from here!
warnings: cheating, questionable sexuality???, kissing, grinding
the music boomed through the speakers of the honky tonk in downtown nashville. the strobe lights danced all across the floor, tracing the dips and curves of my own body. the smell of whiskey and leather filled my nose, setting the atmosphere for a perfect, man-free night.
i was celebrating my bachelorette party this weekend. my friends only insisted that we get drunk, go dance, and dress slutty like we were 19 years old again. i had to oblige - they wouldnât take no for an answer. they picked out my too-revealing dress, a strappy silver material that barely held me in. my hair was pinned up in a bun, loose strands brushing across the skin of my face.Â
for the first time in a long time, i felt hot. i felt desirable and happy. i felt free.Â
its not that my fiancĂ©, will was bad. he was great, perfect even. he treated me well enough, made me feel pretty, and he had a pretty good sex drive. there was nothing to dislike. i put on a happy face for long enough to fool everyone, but deep down i was not happy.Â
i wanted more. much more. i wanted someone who needed me like i was their only option. i wanted someone to make me feel like a princess. someone who -
âhey, Y/N! you okay?âÂ
i heard my friend, maddie yelling over the music for me, quickly snapping me out of my thoughts. iâm glad she did, or else iâd start ruining my own party.Â
i walked over to her, joining her on the dance floor. i put my drink cup in the air, smiling proudly. iâm not sure what noise left my drunken mouth, but it was a noise full of faux joy and happiness. it was good enough to fool my friends though. a fake smile and chug of my now-empty cup was all they needed to be fooled.Â
i dropped the cup on the ground, it quickly being crushed by someoneâs foot in front of me. i looked up, making eye contact with a blonde-haired, blue-eyed, girl. she has to be at least 6â0. she was towering over me, slowly creeping closer into my personal space.Â
âhi,â she breathed.Â
i seemed to pause my movements, starting intently at the woman now in front of me. she was gorgeous. her facial features worked together in perfect harmony, her teeth as perfect as teeth could be. her skin was glowing, freckles proudly scattered across her face.Â
âhey.â
that was all i could say. i was so shell-shocked, nothing crossed my mind but her.Â
i hadnât felt like this in awhile. my first time meeting will wasnât even this exciting. i donât really remember the first time we met, actually.Â
i should probably get on that, i need to get my vows finished soon.Â
âi noticed you look a little out of it. you okay?â the blonde asked, smiling.Â
wow, someone actually noticed!Â
âyeah, i-im fine. but thanks for noticingâŠâ i left the sentence open-ended, hoping for her name or any sort of information about her.Â
âoh, its kate,â she responded, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.Â
âkate,â i mutter to myself. unfortunately, now was when my alcohol started to really hit.Â
âkateâŠâ i repeated. she looked at me and laughed, looking down at her feet.Â
âiâm Y/N,â i responded. she looked back at my face, smiling gently.
âso listen,Y/N, i was wondering if youâd join me out there?â she asked. i stared at her blankly, dumbfounded.Â
i didnât respond as i continued staring at her.Â
âmy teammates over there,â she pointed to a group of girls all on the other side of the bar. âmy teammates begged me to come talk to you. youâre stunning.â
if my mouth wasnât already open, it definitely was now. i froze for a second, truly contemplating what to do. i could innocently dance with this gorgeous girl (who has now managed to make me feel things i havenât felt in a long time), or i could tell her why i was here and refuse to dance.Â
my drunken boldness took over, my hands pushing her to the dance floor as i grinned at her. my hands wrapped loosely around the back of her neck, her hands finding my hips and pulling me closer. i swayed back forth with the music, inching closer until we were pressed against each other.Â
i donât know what it was, but she was so addicting. her touch caused burning sensations all over my body, her smile digging into my chest. it was almost painful. will never made me feel like this. he never made me feel anything but content, fine.Â
i looked around for my friends, hoping they wouldnât see this and get suspicious. they knew i didnât like girls, right?Â
did i like girls?Â
iâd been wondering for awhile, assuming it could be the reason why i felt nothing for will. i never felt anything for any boy, at that matter. i liked the way girlsâ smiled, i liked that we were the same, i wanted to try a girl.Â
luckily, no one was to be seen as i scanned the room. i let myself be free as the bass sounded, her thigh finding its way between my legs. it caught me off guard, but sent shivers down my spine nonetheless. kate was still smiling, occasionally looking between us and watching me move on her. her lip went between her teeth every now and then.Â
i had to take her home. i had to. i knew i shouldnât ;the whole reason of this trip was to celebrate my âloveâ for someone else.Â
i stared up at her, hoping she would ask the question so i didnât have to. when she stayed silent, i twirled the ends of her hair in my fingers while looking around for quick scan one last time.Â
not seeing any of my friends, i leaned in and pressed my lips against hers, all my thoughts of will leaving my brain. she opened her mouth into mine, her hands leaving my hips and cupping my face instead. i felt her tongue gently enter my mouth, chills engulfing my body.Â
i kissed her back, loving the feeling. this is what i wanted, this is what i needed.Â
she pulled away, scanning my face. i was out of breath, my mouth slightly open in shock over what i just did.Â
âcome home with me, please,â kate breathlessly says.Â
her hands hold onto my arms, silently pleading for me to come with her. i knew nothing about her, but something felt so right. iâd be a fool to say no. my thumbs stroked the roughness of her hands, smiling and looking at them.Â
âis it worth it?â i ask, slightly teasing.Â
she smirked, licking her lips before saying, âiâll make it worth it.â

Ok so I was wondering if you could write a Fred Weasley X sarcastic hufflepuff reader and everyone kinda wonders how shes a hufflepuff because she comes off as bitchy but like she super caring with Fred and heâs like the only one that really sees that side of her
Hi Anon! I have to admit I got a little carried away with this one (whatâs new). I started writing just a normal fic but it grew beyond measure because I fell in love with the snarky little Hufflepuff I was writing. I hope you enjoy! đ€
**Part 2 is is HERE**
**important: I wrote this in mind following a masquerade ball that had already happened within the story to mark the anniversary of Hogwarts. **
Warnings: Unrequited love, idiots in love, friends to lovers all the usual divine tropes. Happy ending I promise. Minor sexual references, 1 mention of masturbation, George fancies Angelina. Slight angst? We have a massive crush on Freddie. Bonus points for anyone who knows where the title is from.
Word count: 3.8k (Oops I did it again)
But who can name the face?
"Nerds," you nod in greeting, a wide grin plastered on your face as you barge through their dorm room door, smirking to the two twins who sit hunched over their creations, trying to perfect a new product. George's nose was almost pressed into the book he was reading and Fred was tinkering with something you couldn't make out, probably an explosive of some sort. You jump onto George's bed, the closest one to you and kick off your shoes.
"Make yourself at home," George snarks, shooting a playful glance to you.
"Thanks Georgie I will," you beam, purposefully ignoring the sarcasm dripping from his words. He rolls his eyes with a smile before focusing back on the page.
"Earth to Fred?" You say, noticing a few moments later that he hadn't greeted you. You frown, hearing nothing back and George shoots a glance to you again before turning to his twin, kicking him swiftly in the shin.
"Git," Fred mutters, rubbing his shin and finally noticing that you were here.
"Hello to you too," you snark, watching as his eyes squint mockingly at you.
"Sorry your ladyship, didn't realise you required my full attention," he snarks, expecting a reaction that he doesn't get.
"Well I do," you nod, your voice and face completely blank until you erupt in a smirk that he mirrors.
"What are you working on?"
"Wait how did you get in here? You're a Hufflepuff!" George gestures to the Gryffindor boys dormitory you're sat in, but your face reveals nothing. Fred knows because of course he does, you've been here more times than you can count but George is usually not here when you sneak in.
"I believe I asked a question first, but if you must know," you lean in towards George, acting as if you were going to reveal an entire catalogue of secrets to him. "I'm a witch."
The deep sigh that George lets out only increases your devilish smile that you share with Fred, widening still when you hear him burst with laughter, the sound of his boisterous laugh filling your body with warmth. He had the most gorgeous laugh and you couldn't help but admire how handsome he looked when he laughed, eyes shining.
"Sodding woman," George mutters under his breath as he picks up the book again, pretending to read. You don't miss the smirk that's threatening to slip from his lips that he's trying so hard to conceal, making you feel a little victorious.
"So back to me, what are you working on?"
"Love potions," Fred says absently, as if it wasn't a big deal.
Your stomach roils dangerously, a sinking feeling settling in your lower tummy as Fred's words.
"Love potions?" You repeat, hardly hiding the frown on your face. You look between the twins but they offer nothing in the way of clues. Fred finally looks up to you again, shrugging slightly as he explains.
"Figured we could start selling them at the shop, break into the girly market. These are just drafts, we realised early on we don't have a bloody clue what we're doing with them."
"Draft draughts?" You joke, squashing down any uneasy feelings you felt. George snorts and Fred chuckles at your words as he nods, enjoying the stupid pun.
"Fancy helping a mate out?" He asks, trying to reel you into helping with whatever he was tinkering with, holding his hand out for you to take. "Could do with your expertise little badger."
You roll your eyes at the nickname but hop off George's bed to grab his hand, letting him lead you over to look at his little experiment, seeing a kind of heart shaped bottle that he was trying to transfigure. You offer to help him transfigure it into more of a heart and somehow manage to tint the glass pink which they both like.
"So why the sudden need to break into the girly market?" You ask, head cocked slightly as you look upon the bottle that you're quite proud of.
"Got love on the brain doesn't he," George says with a laugh, only to duck a moment later when Fred lobs a book at his head.
"What?" You ask, trying to sound neutral but fearing you were failing miserably.
"Met a girl the other night didn't he, hasn't shut up about her since," George adds, clearly unbothered by Fred's reaction as he ducks another flying object thrown by his bemused twin.
"You wouldn't shut up about her if you met her," he grumbles, cheeks filling with a vibrant blush. "Didn't even know girls could be that attractive, she was perfect mate."
"What from the half of her face that you saw?" George snarks, a loud 'ow' echoing through the room as he fails to duck this time.
You don't hear anymore, your heart pounding in your chest and you feel sick almost instantly, the room seeming to spin around you. Fred had met someone at the masquerade ball.
The Masquerade Ball was an extravagant affair marking the one thousandth year of Hogwarts since the founding of the school in 996AD. In honour of the ancient traditions, a masquerade ball had been held which would bring all the students together regardless of their assorted houses. You could be as anonymous as you wished, no need to disclose your house or your name and dates were not permitted in an effort to unite the school free from the usual restrictions that naturally came from house only events. Due to the enchantments upon the school, the masks were implemented to hide your identity for the night with made everything even more magical. You'd had a wonderful night, second only to the Yule ball though you really couldn't compare them.
You remembered now that you hadn't seen Fred all night, not for your lack of trying and now it all makes sense why. You need to get out before the tears really start, your world feeling like it was crumbling around you.
"Sorry, forgot about my potions work," you say quickly, reaching for your shoes and rushing out of the door before either of them could notice your tears.
You barely make it out of Gryffindor tower when your tears begin to stream down your face, lip wobbling as their words echo through your mind. You run to the nearest bathroom, praying that it's empty and rush into a cubicle to allow yourself some privacy in your heartbroken state.
You'd had a crush of Fred Weasley forever. The unlikely pair that you were, the hufflepuff and the Gryffindor brought together by mischief. You'd started falling for him in your second year but managed to keep it quiet, to push it away and keep it hidden in the hopes that it would fade over time... but it didn't. By your fourth year you had a full blown crush and by your fifth you were convinced you loved him. Every summer you wished that upon your return to school that your feelings would have disappeared or at least faded but the second that he'd smile at you, throwing his arm around you in a warm greeting you knew that your hoping was pointless. You'd spent years perfecting your ability to hide your feelings from him, torturing yourself in private to allow you to keep feelings-free around him. You reasoned that it was better to have him in your life as a best friend than to be without him completely and you were fine with that, at least until now. There's never been another girl as far as you remembered. Sure his friendship with Angelina sometimes made you jealous but you were sure that George fancied her and Fred was just trying to rile him up most of the time to get a reaction. But this mystery girl, he'd fallen for him without even knowing her, without even seeing her full face. She's stolen him away from you without a single thought and you didn't even know who she was to hate her.
Once you'd gotten most of your feelings out, you thought of the one thing that had kept you going all week. The irony of the situation wasn't lost on you, but it was different for you.
You'd also met someone at the ball, the masked man with the black hair and robes so entrancing that he'd actually made you forget about Fred entirely for the short time you spent together. He had a magic laugh, magnetic really that made you feel drawn to him even without knowing anything about him. You'd felt connected to him instantly, even as your eyes searched for Fred in the crowd of people but finding nothing. At least now you knew where he was.
You let out a sigh, wiping your last couple of tears with the sleeve of your robe as you took deep breaths to steady yourself. How could you go on from this? The masked man had been your dirty little secret that you'd never intended to go anywhere, as much as he kept sneaking into your mind.
Fred Weasley would never be yours. It was a fact, as excruciating as it was to admit. Someone else had turned his head, not that he was ever really looking at you and all you could do is sit back and watch with thoughts of your mystery man to keep you company.
You managed to avoid Fred and George for the next two days pretty successfully. You weren't as popular as them but you had some good friends in Hufflepuff that you chose to sit with at meal times and stayed within the common room for most of your free time, knowing that Fred and George couldn't find you there.
"Are you coming to dinner?" One of your friends asks, waiting for you in the common room as you finish up the chapter of the book you were reading.
"Yeah sure," you say, placing in your bookmark and casting your book onto the side.
You follow her out of the common room past the barrels into the dark corridor and scream as you're dragged away by two strong figures. You look back to your friend in alarm seeing her mouth a half-hearted 'sorry' and try to fight off your attackers, quickly getting the sense of who was manhandling you.
"Put me down, idiots!" You say struggling against their weirdly strong grasps, not stopping until you were placed onto a bench in the next corridor. You look up and see Fred and George towering over you, their eyes fixed into hard stares as they look at you, Fred with his arms crossed and George with his hands in his pockets, shoulders stiff.
"You've been avoiding us," George accuses, openly saying the words that you knew were true. You can't bring yourself to deny it, or avoid the question, all you can think is how to make an excuse that would explain it all.
"No excuses," Fred says, clearly reading your face. Damn him for knowing you so bloody well.
"I've been busy," you say, lifting an eyebrow at them.
"Yeah, busy avoiding us," Fred says, his lips pursing a little as he looks down at you.
"Busy doing school work," you counter.
"Oh yeah what class?" George asks, though you can tell in his void that he's not falling for it one bit.
"All of them," you say, quickly adding, "you know I get surprisingly little work done when I'm with you two, funny that."
"Yeah nice one, tell it to my mother," Fred says completely deadpan. You sigh, knowing you're not going to get out of this one alive.
"I've just been busy," you say, lowering your barriers a little but keeping that little confession of love stored neatly tucked away where it would never come out no matter how open you were being. "Needed a couple of days to myself... people were starting to think I was a Gryffindor."
Fred's face remains unchanged but you can see the ghost of a smile pulling at George's face.
"It wasn't you, I just had a lot going on," you say with complete honesty, well maybe not complete.
"Needed a couple of days to get my head together, I've been drowning in homework and I'm think I'm failing charms. I honestly just needed a couple of days to sort myself out before they send an owl home and my parents would know how much in disappointing them."
Okay so not a complete lie, but not the complete truth either.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Fred says, his harsh glaze slipping from his face as he crouched down beside the bench you're sat on, his head still inline with yours at his astronomical height. George relaxes in front of you, scooting you across so he can sit on the other side of the bench. You feel awful essentially lying to them, though it was more altered truth but you could face them knowing, especially Fred.
"Embarrassed, mortified, horrified, you choose."
"It's us, you don't need to be embarrassed with us," George says softly. Usually your relationship was filled with vicious banter so seeing him so soft and kind with you was nice if not a little off putting.
"Anyway, now I have you back," Fred says with a smirk blooming on his face.
"We," George adds, shooting a look to his twin.
"Eh? Oh yeah... how come you never told us your common room was down here?! You could have been sneaking us treats this whole time!"
"Would have saved our legs many a trip to the kitchens!"
"Length of your legs it only takes three steps," you quip back to George who smiles widely.
"There she is," Fred says smiling at you. It's a beaming smile, eyes glimmering and it makes your heart burst to know that it's all for you. Fred suddenly stands, holding out his hand for you to take as you hop off the bench but to your surprise he doesn't let go and instead pulls you away, still holding your hand as you walk around the corner to the kitchen corridor, passing the painting of the silver fruit bowl that conceals the entrance to the kitchens.
"See all those times you've apparently come up to our room, could have brought the snacks," george says, bumping your shoulder as he nods to the door as you make your way past it. "All you have to do is," George says, walking in sync and surprisingly saying nothing at his brother's hand in yours.
"If you think I'm going to stop and tickle the pear every time I come to see you," you begin to say, only to be cut off by Fred.
"You can tickle my pair anytime, babe."
"Shove off Weasley," you say with a bite, trying to recover from his words quickly and fight off the blush that threatens your heating cheeks as they laugh amongst themselves.
"Well if you're offering," George says from the other side, to which you side step and hold out your foot, causing him to trip. He catches himself quickly before he falls but it's still pretty funny, as made apparent by yours and Fred's laughter.
"Thought you Hufflepuffs were supposed to be nice!"
"Coming from you?" You counter, sending a frown towards him, able to list off the top of your head a multitude of times he'd pranked someone, caused damage or injury and that was mainly just to yourself.
"She is nice," Fred quickly defends, shooting his brother a dung-eating grin, "to me at least."
You chuckle and carry on walking, watching out for George's revenge.
"Hold up, wait here," Fred suddenly says, coming to an abrupt halt near the main atrium. He grabs your arm to stop you, his hand breaking free from yours as he holds up a finger and runs back down the corridor.
You watch his figure disappear and squeeze your now unoccupied hand, your body already missing his touch. Truthfully the past few days had been torture being away from them, namely Fred, but it was necessary to contain the feelings that has threatened to burst out of you like a broken remembrall.
Suddenly there's a gasp to your side and you spin around quickly on your heel to face George, who is looking at you with wide eyes and a Zouwu like grin etched upon his face. You frown in confusion, not knowing what he's looking at until your entire body fills with dread with his next words.
"You're in love with him!"
You panic, not knowing what to do with the information. You can hardly deny it, it would be impossible to hide from George now he knew and you're certain that your reaction has given you away, so you go to the next default setting: threats.
"One word comes out of your mouth to anyone and I'll tell Angelina that I walked in on you wanking over her!"
George faces pales for a second before his cheeks heat up with a vivid red blush that spreads the full length of his face.
"But that didn't."
"Your old friend... Angelina Johnson... the Qudditch team captain," you say, ignoring his looks as you tilt your voice to sound more and more disgusted at his behaviour with every passing word.
"What? You can't."
"Naked on a broom, George Weasley! Could you be any more depraved?"
"Alright fine!" He says, holding his hands up in surrender, not wanting to push you further and find out that you weren't bluffing.
"I won't say anything to Fred," he promises, looking genuine in his agreement.
It's awkward now, the silence that follows as you come to terms that George is in on your secret now.
You don't look at him any longer, instead fixing your gaze to the stone floor as you consider the implications. Had you looked at George, you'd have noticed him battling with himself, fighting over what to say next. It wasn't his secret to tell, he shouldn't even be considering breaking him twin's confidence but the look on your face right now was enough to break whatever morality he had.
"You know... he's," George begins to say, your gaze drifting up towards him as you look into his eyes, expecting laughter or mocking but finding none.
"He's what?" You ask, confused about his sudden stop, eyes widening.
"He's coming."
"I was only gone for a minute, you two haven't fallen out already have you?" Fred jokes, his pockets clearly stuffed with treats that he'd acquired from the kitchens.
"No," you and George say at precisely the same time. So much for not looking suspicious. Fred trots off ahead urging you both to follow and you do so willingly and silently, hardly trusting yourself to speak in that moment as you feel George's eyes on you.
"Everything alright with y/n earlier? She seemed upset when I got back. Are you sure you didn't say anything to her?" Fred asks, taking off his tie and his school shirt as he undresses for bed, calling to George who's doing the same on the other side of the room.
"I didn't say anything mate," George says, "reckon you're thinking about her too much."
"Just being a friend," Fred says, perhaps a little too quickly.
"Well between 'being a friend' to y/n and your mystery woman, you certainly are doing a lot of thinking... reckon if you ignore one of them you might finally figure out that love potion," George says grinning as he climbs into bed.
"Shove off," Fred says, climbing into his own bed and pulling the curtain across with a harsh shove. He lays in bed unsettled for what seems like hours, his mind spinning between his friend and his mystery woman, realising with a sad conclusion that he'd gotten absolutely nowhere with either one of them.
âĄ
Fred Weasley was certain that his eyes had never been blessed enough to look upon something so captivating, so enchanting that it made his mouth dry. There was a sea of people around dressed in their fanciest clothes, an opulent symphony of colour and glitter, yet she stood out amongst the crowd like a singular lighthouse in a vast, dark ocean.
He was enthralled by the way her dress moved, clinging perfectly to her figure, highlighting the delicate curves and lines of her body whilst staying modest. It was arousing, the way her dress offered so much but showed so little, Fred's imagination running wild of what lay underneath.
She was beautiful, the most beautiful woman Fred had even laid eyes upon, he was certain. Her dress shining under the twinkling lights, her seductive smile and those eyes that seemed to twinkle all on their own even without the glistening reflection of the lights above her.
He was certain that he was the luckiest bloke in the room; that every other male was envious of the way his hand was wrapped tightly around her waist. But he didn't care what anyone thought or of their jealousy in the moment, he just couldn't believe his luck. They were pulled together as if my an invisible string, finding each other quickly as the music played around them, the soft lights acting like a runway between them both, eyes connecting almost immediately.
"Are you going to tell me your name?" He asks with a smirk, losing himself in her eyes as they seem to glimmer even more at his words.
"I don't think that's how masquerade balls work," she says with a laugh, earning a chuckle from him.
"What about your house?" He follows up, needing to know something about her even if it's tangible evidence.
The smile she flashes him makes him almost dizzy, sparkling eyes peering up at him from beneath her mask.
"Only if you can guess it," she counters, leading him down a dark path of guessing who she might be.
"Sorry I think you've hit your limit on questions," she says as the song changes. "Perhaps I could ask you some?"
"You can ask me anything... except my name," he smirks from under his mask, his tongue peeking out to wet his lips briefly under your gaze.
"Are you single?"
His laughter is contagious and she finds herself chuckling along with him as his hand at her waist squeezes her tighter momentarily for her cheekiness.
"Definitely," he replies softly, though he can't help but feel a little stab at the thought of his best friend, wishing for years that he could say that he wasn't single in the slightest.
âĄ
Fred wakes with a start, confused for a moment as to his whereabouts having jumped so quickly from his dream to reality. He was back there again, his mind so fixed on his mystery woman that every dream was a recollection of that night, though this time he was certain that there was something different. Had his mystery date always sounded so much like y/n?
Part 2 anyone?

No way back
Richard Madden was now on top of his career. Starring in Game of Thrones and after that in many successful movies as well.
He loved his aching career and his life
Until it was taken from him. By you
You really loved him as an actor. But you fell in love with his body much more. And that's why you attacked him on the street after that play he starred in.
He put up quite a fight. But you had a knife and eventually you succeded in stabbing his shoulder. Stabbing was the crucial step to swap bodies. After that, you were now fighting your old body, that was towering over you and held a knife in your shoulder. Thank god for the police for shooting him and saving you
The ambulance took you to the hospital. He hit some of the big veins, so you were bleeding rapidly. So they had to take care of that. Some doctor stitched you up and told you you were lucky. "I know. Thank you"
You were finally left alone in your room. You went to the mirror in your gown to look at the wound and at your new self.
And there he was Richard staring back at you.
You took of the gown. Revealing the big wound and some scratches on other parts of the body.
He put up quite a big fight before you switched. If you wouldn't stab him, you'd be the one who was dead now. Not Richard.
You looked over your new shirtless body. Your hairy torso covering the muscular chest and abs. All yours now to enjoy.
Your nipples hardening at the sight of the beautiful man in front of you. And not the only thing that was hardening.
You are Richard Madden now
But the blood and scratches reminded you what you have done. That you were now in a different man's body. That you took his life and got him killed. There's no going back anymore. You can't get back to your old life, see any of your friends or your family. Or even your dog
It was all so bittersweet. Getting his body was one thing, but now you felt the guilt of it all overcoming you. You looked at yourself in the mirror and saw the teary eyes looking back. Did you screw this up?
6 months later
After dealing with the aftermath and going to therapy. You decided to quit acting for a while. You didn't even know how to act, cause Richard's memories did not stay in his body and secondly you probably wouldn't even enjoy it.
You asked for therapy after the attack a decided to pretend to have some sort of amnesia, which became an excuse for everything after that. Especially for not knowing who in Richard's life was who.
But now it didn't matters. You were in Los Angeles, Hollywood Hills. Enjoying the beautiful scenery and the sun shining on your beautiful hairy chest.
With just one bottle of water and a phone in your hand, you arrived to the place and sent the photo
"I'm here" you said out loud
From a bush, an attractive young man came out
"Holy shit, it's really you. Omg sir I have to say I am the biggest fan."
"I thought you came here to hook up"
"Yeah... right. Sorry. Sure"
You unzipped your jeans and pulled out your big dick to jerk. It was getting hard. You loved freaking out these twinks in your body. Hell, this guy's probably the same age as you were. But you're in Richard's body now, being older than him
He was shocked and just stared at you. Definitely aroused
"Are you gonna stare or take care of it?"
"I... YES! I just thought we could go somewhere private. There is a lot of rattle snakes here you know"
You came close to him. Pushing him on his knees and shoving your hard dick into his mouth
"There is only one snake you gotta be worried about right now"
You left him on the mountain. Covered in cum all over his face. You had an interview to get to. Fuck, your acting career was about to start again.
The twink caught up with you. "Can I call you? I really wanna do this again"
"Already hungry for more? This is my adress. And bring a friend"
The guilt was still deep in your heart. But moments like this definitely made it better

You and Katsuki exchange Christmas gifts.
You plopped down on your bed and let out an exhausted sigh. Most of your classmates were still in the common room enjoying the holiday party. It was nice to relax and not think about school or hero work for a bit, but after a while you found yourself worn out from so much energy.
As much as you enjoyed yourself it felt nice to be in the quiet of your room relaxing after the busy night. You began to get your bed ready to sleep when a knock on your door startled you.
You opened the door and were surprised to see Katsuki.
"Oh- hey," You greeted him.
"You left early," he observed.
"Yeah," you said stepping aside and allowing him to come into your room. "I guess I was just exhausted from all the socializing," You explained. Katsuki came in and sat on your chair as you shut the door.
"Hm- I get that," He replied.
That was when you noticed that he had a gift bag in his hand.
"Here-," Was all he said as an explanation as he held out the bag to you. Normally giving someone a gift is a sweet gentle gesture, but the intense glare in Katsuki's eyes contradicted his actions. "Take it already dumb ass," he said, shaking the gift at you.
You grabbed the gift and sat opposite of him on your bed, 'You didn't have to-," You began to say but were quickly interrupted.
"Don't give me that you didn't have to crap. Of course, I fucking didn't- but I did, so just open the stupid thing," He barked.
You knew better than to argue with Katsuki, so you took out the haphazardly placed tissue paper to reveal a shoe box. You looked at him curiously.
"Take em' out idiot," He said.
You took out the box and tossed off the lid revealing some hiking boots inside.
"Bakugo these look really expensive I can't-," You said but again found yourself interrupted.
"I'm not taking them back. You like that color right?"
"Yeah, I do- they are really nice but-,"
"No fucking buts. Now your dumb ass won't slip again when we go on hikes," He said.
Your face flushed from the embarrassing memory of when you fell, and because his words indicated he wanted to hike with you again.
"Tch- don't fucking look at me like that! Its... it's not even that big of a deal," He said and looked away from you.
You knew Katsuki enough by now to understand that he only had a rough demeanor because he felt awkward in these situations. Any grand show of emotions would send him running straight out of your room, so you bottled up how truly thankfully you felt and sufficed with a simple, "Thank you Bakugo."
"Yeah whatever," he grumbled jamming his hands into the pocket of his sweats.
"I um- sort of have something for you too," You spoke. You had made something for Katsuki but had debated on giving it to him or not. You found yourself too shy to give it to him tonight in front of the rest of your class, so you never brought it down from your room. However, now that he was in your room and had just given you such a thoughtful gift, you decided it was the perfect time.
"Hu?" He exclaimed shocked and snapped his head to look at you.
You grabbed the gift from under your bed and handed him a sadly wrapped gift.
"This is wrapped like shit," he said as grabbed it from you.
"Oh come on I tried my best. We can't all be naturally good at everything like you!" You teased.
Katsuki let out an amused puff of air as he tore at the wrapping paper. Once he revealed the gift he held it in his hands staring at it for what felt like entirely too long.
You began to feel self-conscious about your gift. It was a painting you made. The painting was a portrait of him in his hero costume, and at the top, you wrote the words "Future #1 Hero".
The longer Katsuki looked at it without saying anything the more you began to panic. You couldn't see his expression at all as his face was hidden by his spiky blond hair.
Shit, it was too dumb and cheesy, wasn't it?? And how cocky of you to think your artwork would constitute a gift.
"If you hate it it's ok! I wasn't even sure I was going to give it to you. Here, it's fine you can just forget about it!" You said nervously and tried to grab at the painting.
Katsuki's grip tightened on the painting as you tried to pull it away, "No!" he barked causing you to jump.
You sat down confused and Katsuki cleared his throat but didn't look up at you yet.
"It's good," He said in a low raspy voice.
You titled your head. Sometimes it was still so hard to read Katsuki's true emotions.
Katsuki stared at the painting trying to get ahold of himself. To see the words at the top "Future #1 Hero" struck something in him that he was trying to push back down. He didn't want to be so vulnerable in front of you but- to see and hold in his hands that someone else was rooting for him meant more to him than he would ever be able to say in words to you.
Finally, he was able to blink away the sting in his eyes that threatened tears. He could hold it back long enough to look at you again.
"I like it," He spoke, giving you not quite a smile- but not a scowl. Which was rare.
"You don't have to lie," you respond.
"I don't lie brat," He said and stood up, eager to leave as the lump in his throat threatened to return again at any more kindness from you.
"You're leaving?" You asked.
"Hm? Yeah- it's late. Looks like I interrupted you going to bed too," He said nodding to your half-turned-down comforter.
"It's fine... you know you're welcome any time..." You said softly.
Katsuki didn't respond but let out a grunt in acknowledgment.
You followed him to the door as he began to open it.
"Bakugo wait-," You said before you lost your nerve to follow through with your impulsive thought.
Katsuki turned around and you quickly pressed a kiss to his cheek.
"Merry Christmas."
"Yeah- merry whatever to you too," He said and turned to leave, a small blush on his cheeks.

When Eight Becomes Nine - Chapter Six
okie so I might have lied about getting this done today. But here it is! I honestly loved writing this chapter, cause it's fun to write the dynamic between Wooyoung and y/n
Pairing: Ateez x 9th member!reader Summary: Y/n meets the omegas of Skz, and then has dance practice with Yunho and San! wc: 1.4k AU: a/b/o Genre: Fluff/Angst warnings: yelling, lots of yelling, Woo being dramatic, lots of cursing because yes, derogatory language (whore), angst, and I think that's it?? lemme know if I need to add any other warnings! masterlist
âWhere are we going, Wooyoung-ssi?â Y/n asked the idol as she was dragged out of the company.
âI already told you! Weâre going to meet up with Han and Felix!â Wooyoung told her, like it was common sense.
The slightly taller man, by like maybe an inch, pulled her behind him as they walked, or were dragged in y/nâs case, down the road to the next block, where a quiet cafe sat. The two omegas entered, finding it almost void of people, except for two people sitting in the back. Wooyoung lit up once he saw the two, almost sprinting towards the two of them, y/n along for the ride once again.
âYouâre here!â He shouted, gaining their attention.Â
âWooyoung-hyung!â One of the two called out to him, pulling his mask off to reveal a smile on his face.
The older omega pulled y/n down with him into the empty chairs, before introducing her to the idols in front of her. âHan, Felix, this is y/n. Sheâs one of the auditionees for the ninth member of Ateez. I may have stolen her from practice.â
Felix ignored Wooyoungâs words for the most part. â Hi y/n, Iâm Felix. Though I have a feeling you already knew that. Itâs really nice to meet you regardless.â He smiled at y/n, and she couldnât help but smile in return, it was contagious.
âYah! Felix, don't go stealing my omega! Sheâs mine. Not yours.â Wooyoung intervened as he watched the two of them. He was not letting the Stray Kids steal her from him, even if he loved the two younger omegas. Y/n was his, and if he had his way, sheâd be their ninth member. He didnât want anyone else, despite not having seen any of her skills. But Hongjoong looked pleased with her, so that means something good. And unless she had no rhythm and two left feet, they could teach her to dance.
âHello, itâs nice to meet you y/n.â Han said, a bit shyer than either Wooyoung or Felix. Which was fine with the sole female omega in the group of four, as she didnât mind another quieter person. She had enough loud people with just the man next to her.Â
âHow are you both?â She asked them, knowing they have a comeback coming up, sheâs a Stay too, there was no way not to be a StayTiny with the friendship between the two groups.
âIâm good! Busy, but good.â Felix replied, smiling at her still. Han nodded along, focused on his phone. He seemed to be reading something on his phone. She didnât mind, it was probably Stray Kids related, which is totally fair, she may not understand it like Wooyoung probably did, but she could understand being busy because of an upcoming event.
âYou guys have a comeback coming up, right? Howâs the preparation for that going?â She asked them, âAnd no pressure if you canât say anything, I get it.â
âAh yeah, weâre not really supposed to say much about it. Sorry.â Felix said, apologizing.
âNo apologies needed, I figured as much, but still wanted to ask. I know comebacks are secretive and such. Well outside of what is shared with fans in the lead up to release day.â She replied, nodding her head.
Suddenly, fingers were squeezing her cheek. âYouâre so cute, I just wanna eat you.â Wooyoung said from right next to her.
âPlease donât eat me, I donât think we need a news article about you secretly being some sort of cannibal.âÂ
âI- yah! I am not a cannibal!â Wooyoung cried.
âThen why do you want to eat me? Besides, it could be worse, you could be a kidnapping cannibal. Oh wait, you are.â Y/n jokes, suddenly having a burst of confidence.
That sparked laughter from Felix and Han, causing y/n to laugh as well, as Wooyoung looked at all of them and pouted.
âI thought we were friends.â The eldest man whined, crossing his arms as the three omegas continued giggling.
âYouâre so fucking mean. This isnât fair. How dare you corrupt my baby!â He continued to whine.
âThey met me thirty minutes ago, how did they corrupt me? And when did I become your baby?â Y/n questioned, looking at the omega next to her in confusion.
âThey just did! And when I met you, duh.â Wooyoung said, like it was common knowledge.
âWooyoung, youâre an idiot.â Felix said, in a very deadpan way.
âFelix, we gotta go. Chan needs us back at the company.â Han interrupted, looking back and forth between Felix and his phone.
There were many awws, but Felix and Han rose up out of their seats.
âNext time, weâll make sure to have free time so we can chat? And weâll get your number off of Wooyoung!â Felix promised y/n as they left the cafe.
âAwwww, I thought weâd get longer with the two of them.â Wooyoung pouted once again.
âWell, they are prepping for a comeback next month, I donât expect them to not be busy.â She said, knowing that these times would be busy, and was surprised they managed to get any free time at all, being weeks away from a comeback.
âI donât wanna go back yet.â Wooyoung just wouldnât stop whining, though he was interrupted by his phone ringing.
âWhat Hongjoong-hyung?â The omega said.
âI donât wanna come back. And why does she have to practice?â
âFine. But you owe me a coffee.â Wooyoung said as he hung up the phone. âIâm supposed to bring you back now. Theyâre all finished for the day, but you still have to practice, so Sannie and Yunho are staying late to watch you. Iâm not allowed to stay because Iâll just kidnap you again apparently.â He told her.
He got up out of the chair he was in, sulking as the female omega got up as well, and continued to sulk as they left the cafe, heading back to KQ. He grumbled about how unfair it was that he wasnât allowed to stay and watch her dance, that he wasnât allowed to stay at the company while she was practicing.
This grumbling continued all the way to the door of the practice room. She rolled her eyes at Wooyoungâs grumbling, and pushed open the door herself, brushing past the elder omega. She bowed once she was in the room, apologizing for her lateness, âIâm sorry I didnât show up on time.âÂ
âDonât worry about it, once Hongjoong-hyung told us it was Wooyoung, we knew we wouldnât get you back on time.â San waved off her apology, âYouâre here now, thatâs what matters.â
âWhat Sannie-ah said.â Yunho agreed, before continuing, âNow, are you ready to practice? Other than warming up?â He asked her, to which she nodded.
âOkay, then letâs warm up.â The tall alpha smiled at her, as they both started warming up with her, helping her through the stretches they did in order to prepare for their rigorous choreography.
Yunho then led her through the entirety of Guerilla, before moving onto Halazia, having her fill in Yeosangâs parts, as he thought she fit them best, besides Hongjoongâs as well. Once he deemed her Halazia run throughs perfect, he let her take a break, and y/n collapsed onto the hardwood floor.
âHow the fuck do you do all of these songs back to back at concerts holy fucking hell.â She said through many breaths and attempts, as she was still trying to catch her breath.
âLots of training and stamina. You have to get some more.â San said as he sat on the ground next to her head.
âSanâs correct. Thatâs the thing you have to work on, it seems. Plus some more practice on the footwork for dance breaks. You fall behind in them, compared to San when you two danced together.â Yunho told her, letting her know what she needed to work on. She took all of the comments in, knowing she wasnât perfect, and wanting to work to get better. Plus, Yunho was kind as he told her what needed work versus what was almost perfect.
Unbeknownst to them, someone was watching the three of them sit and chat after this, and security really should have done a better job at ensuring the rules were followed, as they snapped photos of the threeâs closeness.
âThe fucking whore, fucking omega thinking sheâs better than everyone else because of her subgender. Letâs see how the public feels about how close you are to them, when you haven't even been picked yet.â They whispered to themselves, before walking away with a ticking time bomb in their hand.

Allies or Affiliates? - Chris Sturniolo Part 10
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9 Part 10 Part 11 Part 12
Pairing : Y/n x Chris Sturniolo
Summary : Law student Y/nâs life takes a turn when she reconnects with Chris, her brief teenage flame who is now a dealer for a dangerous Boston drug gang. As their bond reignites, Y/n is drawn into Chrisâs tumultuous world, where rival gangs clash and loyalty is everything. Balancing her love for Chris with her own ambitions, can their connection survive the chaos that threatens to pull them apart?
Warnings : MDNI, mentions of drugs, mentions of selling drugs, angst, cursing, smoking weed, suggestive
Chris's POV
The adrenaline from the fight with Y/n still coursed through my veins as I stumbled into my room, slamming the door behind me. The echo of our argument replayed in my mind like a broken record. I felt like Iâd been hit by a truck, every part of me ached, not just from the physical exertion but from the emotional turmoil. How had it escalated so quickly? One minute, we were joking around, and the next, I was standing there, revealing my darkest secrets, while she looked at me like I was a stranger. It crushed me.
Dropping onto my bed, the weight of the world hit me in my chest. I needed to take the edge off, needed something to help me forget the angry words and the hurt in her eyes. I reached for my stash on my bed side table, my hands trembling slightly as I rolled a joint. The familiar motions were supposed to soothe me, but all I could think about was Y/nâs face when I told her the truth about my life. The way sheâd looked at me when I mentioned the cartel, like I was some sort of monster.
I walked out to my backyard and took a long drag, inhaling deeply, hoping the smoke would clear the fog of confusion and regret, but it only served to intensify my thoughts. I paced in the grass, the smoke curling around me, and I couldn't shake the feeling of impending doom that settled in my stomach. Y/n was the last person I wanted to hurt, but here I was, tangled up in a life I never wanted her to be a part of. Iâd cut her out for her safety, convinced it was the right choice. But now, standing on the line of losing her forever, I wasnât so sure.
My mind drifted back to the memories we shared, the laughter, the innocent joy of a portion of our teenage years. I remembered the promises we made to always be there for each other, but Iâd shattered those promises. It was killing me, and I felt more trapped than ever.
By the time I finally collapsed onto my bed, it was midday. Sleep came slowly, and when it did, it was filled with restless dreams of Y/n, my heart aching with every turn. I woke up to the sun hanging low in the sky, filtering through my curtains, and grabbed my phone, my heart leaping as I saw a message from her that just came in.
"Hey, Iâd like to talk. Can we meet up?"
It was like a lifeline thrown into turbulent waters. I jumped out of bed, adrenaline kicking in again, and quickly replied, my fingers flying over the screen.
"Of course. I can come pick you up if you like?â
Y/N's POV
I paced the living room, my mind still swirling with everything that had happened after the party. My parents were back from their weekend away, and I could already feel the questions piling up. I didnât want to deal with their prying. Not now. Not when I was about to meet Chris, the guy whoâd just opened up a whole new level of chaos in my life.
Their laughter filtered in from the kitchen, my dadâs booming voice mingling with my momâs soft giggles. It was a comforting sound, but it also reminded me of how out of place I felt. Theyâre a far cry from the situationship Iâm placed in right now. How could I tell them I was meeting Chris? The guy Iâd just found out was a drug dealer? I shook my head, feeling the anxiety creep up my spine.
I couldn't tell them at all. I walked into the kitchen to greet them, and had a small catch up before they decided to go to bed after being tired from all their travelling. âGood night, I might head out for a walk in a bit..â I called out as I headed towards my room, gunning toward my balcony, hoping to slip away unnoticed.
I climbed over the railing through the tree house window and climbed down onto the grass, making my way around the side of the house. The air was cooler outside, as the sun was fully set and my heart raced with anticipation and uncertainty. I couldnât shake the feeling that this conversation would change everything.
When Chris arrived, I could see the tension in his shoulders, the way he rubbed the back of his neck like he was trying to ease the burden of the world off it. I felt a bit of sympathy for him. He had his demons, and now, he was standing in front of me, ready to confront them.
âHeyâ he said softly, his voice hoarse.
âHey.â I smiled faintly, trying to push aside the heaviness of our last encounter. âLetâs go.â
We climbed into his car, the silence stretching between us as he drove toward an empty parking lot a few blocks away. He parked and I turned to him, feeling the weight of everything hanging in the air.
âOkay, so..â I started searching for the right words. âWe need to talk about what happened.. About you.â
Chris took a deep breath, his eyes meeting mine. âI know I shouldâve told you sooner. I just.. I didnât want to drag you into this mess. I thought I was protecting you.â
âBy lying to me?â I shot back, feeling a mix of frustration and sadness. âYouâre involved in something dangerous, Chris. I donât want you to end up in jail.. or worse.â
âI know. And Iâm sorry. Iâm trying to figure it out.â he replied, running a hand through his hair. âNate got pulled into it, and I thought I could stay away, but it wasnât that easy. Once I was in, it was like a trap. But seeing you again, it felt right. I didnât want to lose you again.â
My heart softened a little. âSo, what are you going to do about it? I canât just sit back and watch you get deeper into this. If you want this to work, you have to make an effort to get out.â
âIâll do anything for you, Y/n.â he said, his voice steady and serious. âI promise Iâll try. I want to find a way out of this life.â
I studied his face, searching for any sign of deception, but all I saw was sincerity. âDo you.. do you take drugs yourself?â
He hesitated, looking down for a moment. âI smoke weed. Thatâs it. I donât do anything harder, I swear. I just sell it.â
I sighed, the tension in my chest easing slightly. âOkay. I just need to know youâre not in over your head.â
âIâm not. I want to make things right.â he assured me. âLetâs figure this out together.â
âAlright..â I said slowly, feeling a spark of hope. âBut this isnât just a one time thing. You need to be committed to making changes.â
"You might need to give me some time.. You know to figure out how to go about it."
"Well that's a start I guess."
He smiled, and it was like a weight had lifted from my shoulders. We talked and laughed a bit, the earlier heaviness fading away as we settled into an easy rhythm, the way it used to be.
As we drove back toward my place, I glanced at him, a playful idea popping into my mind. âDo you have any weed on you?â
Chris raised an eyebrow, âUh..yeah I do.. Why?â
I took a breath, choosing my words carefully. âWould you.. let me try some weed? Just once?â
His face shifted immediately from relaxed to slightly shocked, his brows knitting together in concern. âWait, you want to smoke weed? Now?â
I bit my lip, feeling a bit self conscious. âI mean, yeah. Just once. Iâve never tried it before, and.. well, I want to understand your world a little better.â
He looked at me, searching my face, like he was trying to make sure I was serious. âY/n.. itâs not really a big deal, you know. I donât even smoke that often myself.â
âI get thatâ I replied, leaning a little closer to him, âbut Iâve been curious about it for a while. And if Iâm going to try it, Iâd rather do it with you. Just this once. Itâs not like Iâm planning to make it a habit.â
Chris sighed, looking away for a moment, clearly torn. âI donât know. You donât have to do this to understand me. You donât have to be a part of everything I do.â
I put a hand on his arm, squeezing gently. âI know. But tonight, it feels.. right. Itâs just one little thing. Besides, weâll be safe. We can go up to the treehouse where no one will bother us.â
He let out a soft chuckle, a trace of amusement in his eyes. âYouâre really serious about this, huh?â
âCompletelyâ I said with a grin. âSo? Are you going to let me in on the secret, or do I have to ask someone else?â
He sighed again, but I could see him slowly relenting, the protective hesitation softening in his gaze. âFineâ he finally said. âBut just this once. And only because youâre way too stubborn for your own good.â
I beamed, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. âPromise.â
Together, we got out of the car and made our way toward the treehouse tucked away in the backyard, its old wooden steps creaking slightly under our weight. The fairy lights were still hung up from our date a few days ago, so I switched them on to create a bit of atmosphere, before arranging the blanket and pillows.
Once we were settled in the small, cosy space, Chris pulled a small pouch and rolling papers out of his jacket pocket. I watched, fascinated, as he carefully rolled the joint, his hands working with practised ease.
âThis feels so.. surrealâ I admitted, leaning back against the treehouse wall.
He gave me a teasing look. âYouâre not getting scared, are you?â
âMe? No way.â I smirked, hiding the nervous energy bubbling up inside.
Once the joint was ready, he held it between his fingers, lighting it and taking a slow drag before passing it to me.
âAlright, so hereâs the dealâ he said, his voice low, calm, almost instructional. âTake a small inhale, but donât try to pull it too deep your first time. Just let the smoke fill your mouth, then breathe it in slowly and exhale. Donât rush it.â
I nodded, holding the joint carefully, feeling its warmth between my fingers. I took a small breath, the smoke tasting strange, earthy as it hit my throat. Almost immediately, I started coughing, my eyes watering as the harshness of it caught me off guard. Chris chuckled softly, watching me with a mix of amusement and sympathy.
âYeah, that first hit always catches people by surpriseâ he said, patting my back gently. âJust take it slow. Itâs not a competition.â
I laughed, still coughing a bit but determined. âOkay, okay. Iâll go easy.â
This time, I took a gentler pull, letting the smoke settle in my mouth before breathing it in, feeling a warmth unravel in my chest. I handed it back to him, trying to keep a straight face as I resisted another cough.
âSee?â he said, his gaze softer, more relaxed. âNot so bad.â
âNot bad at allâ I replied, feeling the first gentle waves of calm starting to spread through me.
We passed it back and forth, the silence between us comfortable, the flicker of his lighter illuminating the space between drags. I watched him, noticing the way his shoulders relaxed, his posture easy, the usual weight he carried seemed a little lighter here, away from the worldâs eyes.
As the joint burned down, I couldnât help but feel a new kind of connection with him, one that was less about the past or the future, and more about this shared, simple moment in the present.
I looked over at him, catching his gaze, and for a moment, everything felt like it was supposed to. Just us, like we used to be, but with a little more understanding, a little more honesty. The night air was still, the stars just beginning to peek through the branches above, and I couldnât help but feel that maybe, just maybe, this was the start of something new for us.
The warmth of the weed had settled deep into my skin, making everything feel more alive, more intense. My senses were heightened, every little touch sending a thrill through me. I could feel his warmth, see every detail in his eyes, and I couldnât help but let my gaze linger on his lips.
I shifted a little closer, feeling bolder, more curious. âSo, are you going to let me in on more, or are you keeping all the secrets to yourself?â I teased, my voice a low murmur.
Chrisâs mouth curved into a smirk as he looked at me, his gaze flicking to my lips before meeting my eyes again. âWhat else do you want to know?â His tone was smooth, with a hint of mischief that only drew me in more.
âHmmâ I said, leaning in a bit closer, my fingers lightly tracing the edge of his arm. âMaybe everything.â
The intensity in his eyes deepened, and I felt his fingers tighten slightly on my knee, the warmth of his touch spreading through me like a spark catching fire. His other hand reached up to brush a strand of hair behind my ear, lingering just a moment too long, his fingers trailing along my cheek. It was such a simple touch, but it felt electrifying, sending a pulse of warmth straight to my core.
âCarefulâ he murmured, his voice dropping low, almost a whisper, as his thumb brushed over my cheek. âYou might get more than youâre bargaining for.â
I held his gaze, feeling the pull between us. âMaybe thatâs exactly what I wantâ I replied softly, my voice steady but filled with a new intensity I hadnât realised I had. I was aware of every inch of him, every movement, every breath.
He leaned in closer, so close that his breath brushed against my skin, and I felt my heart race, anticipation building between us. His hand moved up, fingers lightly tracing the side of my face, his touch soft but sure. I felt myself instinctively leaning into him, our faces inches apart, his gaze locked on mine with an intensity that made my pulse quicken.
âI donât think I can hold back much longer if you keep looking at me like that.â he murmured, his voice rough around the edges.
âMaybe I donât want you to.â I whispered, a smile playing on my lips.
With that, the space between us disappeared, and his lips met mine in a kiss that was slow, warm, and filled with a fire that felt like it had been building for ages. His hands found my waist, pulling me closer as I wrapped my arms around his neck, sinking into the kiss, feeling like I was falling and floating all at once.
The treehouse felt like it was spinning, but I didnât care. All I wanted was this moment, this connection, as I kissed him back, letting the night and all my worries fade away.
Chris pulled back just slightly, his face close enough that our breaths mingled in the cool night air. His eyes searched mine, serious yet soft, as if he were weighing something deeply important. I could feel his hesitation, the way he was holding back despite everything between us.
He brushed his thumb along my cheek, his hand warm and steady. "Are you sure about this?" he asked quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. "I donât want you to feel.. pushed or anything."
I looked up at him, my heart racing but my thoughts perfectly clear. He was giving me an out, a chance to step back, and I knew heâd respect it if I did. But there was no doubt in my mind. I wanted to be here, I wanted him. Every inch of him.,
"Chris" I said, my hand gently resting over his. "Iâm sure. This is what I want."
He let out a slow breath, relief flickering across his face, and his shoulders relaxed as he held my gaze. The intensity between us deepened, something unspoken passing as he studied me, seeming to memorise every detail. His thumb traced a small circle on my cheek, a gesture that felt both grounding and electrifying.
"Good" he murmured, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Because I don't think I could pull away even if I tried."
I leaned into him, feeling the warmth of his touch, and for the first time, any lingering fear or hesitation melted away completely. I
"Then don't pull away" I whispered, smiling up at him, inviting him closer.
He closed the small distance between us again, his lips finding mine in a kiss that was deep, slow, and filled with everything unspoken between us.
The next thing I knew, I was on top of him.
a/n : everything is just going so well atm!!!

the pet w/ poly!addams!matz
upon spending more and more time with your lovers, more things that have been kept well guarded secrets from the rest of the world seem to reveal themselves to you. the things that go bump in the night arenât necessarily all figments of the imagination. the legends may be twisted and warped to make them seem a hell of a lot scarier than they actually are, but some things still hold true.
vampires for example. while their genes still technically exist, vampires themselves went extinct long before you were even born. seonghwa had explained it to you in depth one morning over breakfast, but none of it really sank in. you shouldâve paid more attention to your biology classes in school; maybe then all the âimmortality is a recessive geneâ nonsense that he was spouting would make sense to you. the whole âmy great-great-grandmother was a vampireâ thing just didnât seem to compute, but it did sort of explain why seonghwa gets a rash when heâs out in the sun for too long.
it turns out jongho isnât really a bear skin either. heâs an onikuma that hongjoongâs family had passed down through generations. it was during that long, drawn-out chess lesson that hongjoong had explained to you that his family were once livestock farmers that the creature had stolen from time and time again. you found it cruel that jongho was slain just for the crime of being hungry, but hongjoong patiently explained that his ancestors were hungry too. slaying the beast that kept breaking onto their land and taking their sheep was the only way to keep food on the table. youâre just glad the memory of the onikuma lives on; you hope his spirit knows that heâs one of your closest friends.
but then one evening, just after the nightly waltz that you so love to sit and watch, seonghwa drops a bombshell. youâre cuddled up by hongjoongâs feet, gently undoing the laces on his dancing shoes as he and seonghwa pass soft conversation over your head. youâre listening, but not very well. itâs not like much of it is any of your concern anyway⊠well, except those few words that slip so freely from your mommyâs mouth.
âwe should get a werewolf,â he muses to his husband before tipping the rest of his wine down his throat. itâs so nonchalant as if itâs something so perfectly normal for them. in the end, you suppose it is; seonghwa has already alluded to being descended from immortal beings (that arenât really all that immortal, just⊠longer living) and the rug youâre currently sitting on is made from the skin of some mythical beast. if anything, a werewolf should just be another thing that you shrug off and accept as just being another part of your increasingly weird life.
but thereâs a difference here. quite a big one. seonghwa said they should get a werewolf, and you canât quite wrap your brain around why he means by that.
the couple seem to notice the sudden interest you have in their conversation though. perhaps itâs the way your body physically tenses up, or the way your fingers become slack on hongjoongâs shoe. either way, the two men hum out a chuckle. seonghwaâs hand finds itâs way to your head, stroking at your hair in the same way he does whenever he needs to calm you down. hongjoong just taps your knee with the toe of his shoe, reminding you of the task you appointed yourself with the moment the pair collapsed onto the couch.
âwhy ever should we allow some mutt into our house?â hongjoong says as your fingers begin to work on his laces again. he always ties them so tightly. you know itâs just to give you something to do with your hands for a little while. âweâd have to house train the feral thing, which would be an immeasurable amount of work. itâs hardly a walk in the cemetery to train a beast to be civil, Cara Mia.â
seonghwa chuckles as he watches his husbands face twist up in disgust. he never has liked werewolves; claims theyâre shifty creatures with no good intentions. seonghwa has to wonder what âgood intentionsâ he thinks vampires have, but he chooses not to argue. thereâs not much point in the grand scheme of things. vampires donât exist anymore, werewolves do.
âprotection for our darling?â the tall man suggests, curling his fingers against your scalp so his blood red nails scratch delicately against your skin. you let out a satisfied sigh. your lovers smile down at you, âa friend for when weâre busy with work? thereâs plenty of reasons as to whyâŠâ
hongjoong seems the mull the idea over as you slip the first shoe off. you gently place it to the side before moving the the next foot, laces done equally as tight.
âand you want to let our sweet girl near such an uncivilised creature?â
âitâs either that or a dog,â seonghwa shrugs.
âiâd rather the dog,â hongjoong cocks his eyebrow confidently, but seonghwa isnât so easy to give up.
âand iâd rather the werewolf,â he says with a smile. he knows, after all, that he always gets what he wants. the proof of that is sitting right between their legs with a collar around its neck. âit would give her something to talk with when she gets lonely, plus the fact we wonât have to clean up after it. opposable thumbs really do work wonders.â
hongjoong sighs; theyâre all good points but the thought of letting a werewolf into his home still sends a shiver down his spine. the thought of you being around one is even worse. theyâre notoriously difficult to train (the fault of their human-esque desire to be independent) and hongjoong really doesnât have that much time to waste. he lets out a groan just as you get the knot to the second shoe undone.
âyouâre serious about this, arenât you?â hongjoong asks. seonghwa replies with a nod. âwhat about you, little dove? would you like a friend?â you think about it for a second before slowly nodding as well. you suppose it would be nice to have someone to fill those empty hours where hongjoong and seonghwa are both tucked away in their respective work spaces. hongjoong lets out a defeated huff, âfine.â
you slip the shoe off of his foot just in time for him to grab you and tug you onto his lap. itâs ironic reallyâyouâd get punished for having a temper tantrum, and yet when hongjoong groans and hides his face in your hair, all seonghwa can do is smile. thereâs a reason youâre the one with a collar around your neck, you suppose.
âthank you, mi amor,â seonghwa leans over to press a kiss to his husbands head, âiâll let mingi know that weâre interested; he was showing me photos of an absolutely gorgeous specimen named yeosang just the other dayâŠâ

Tormund*Real Man

Word count: 2003
Warnings: this is actually technically not smut aka no sex but there is heavy teasing, mentions of sex, heavy flirting, flashing, and physical descriptions.

When you escaped Winterfell, finally fleeing from Ramsayâs grip, you headed straight for the wall, straight for Jon. You had been close friends growing up, always lurking in the shadows with him or chasing after Robb. However, you were also trained in medicinal herbs by your mother, a servant who couldnât just call for a maester when someone grew ill. So, despite his worries Jon agreed you should stay and help tend to the fallen.
What you hadnât expected was being sent to tend the wilding. You had been locked away during the battle, for safety more than anything so you were shocked to learn when Jon fetched you that he had taken a hostage.
âHeâs in pretty bad shape,â Jon warned as you walked the corridor with him down to a storage room that had been converted into a cell of sorts for the wilding. âI donât think he could hurt you if he wanted but Iâll be every second,â he had assured you as you tentatively stepped into the room.
âCrow,â a hoarse voice came from the corner of the room. Jon held up his torch, revealing the wildling. He was big, thatâs for sure, and his hair was almost as bright as the Tullyâs. a scraggly beard covered his face and a grimace behind it, âCame to finish the job?â
âNot quite Tormund,â Jon said, stepping closer to the wildling who spat at his feet, âI brought help. Sheâs a healer, well the closest thing we have to one,â
The man looked passed Jon, his cold blue eyes looking straight at you leaving a strange feeling in your gut. A smirk slowly crept on his face, âSheâs a pretty one alright. Guess if I have to die, I might as well go with a pretty face looking at me,â
You were grateful for the poor lighting, hoping it disguised your blush as Jon hushed the man. Jon turned back to you while you tried to ignore the way Tormund was staring at you, âDo you need anything?â
You glanced to the man before your eyes quickly met Jonâs again, âMore light,â you said quietly, âI canât heal him in the dark,â
âGreat idea lass,â Tormund pipped up, his voice making you jump when you realised, he was listening, âCan barely even see you in this shit hole,â
His jabs were ignored by Jon who soon lit another couple torches in the room and finally you were able to see him properly. As you walked over you could see blood seeping through his clothes, leaving dark patches, âUm I need to see your wounds,â you said, your voice quiet and plagued with stutters.
Tormund grinned at your words, âTrying to undress me already? Your southern women are forward crow,â he teased Jon who was quick to remind him he was a prisoner here. Tormund rolled his eyes as his hands reached for his top, but you noticed his winces and knew it was no use.
âHere let me,â you said, pulling at the fabric, trying your best not to blush or embarrass yourself as you slowly manoeuvred the fabric over his head.
âLike what you see?â Tormund asked, his eyes glued to yours as you tried desperately to not show that you did.
Instead, you turned your attention to his wounds. The top of his arm was badly wounded, you wondered if an infection was already growing from the sight of him. A few more scratches covered his bodies, and a particularly nasty slice went across his stomach. âIâll need to clean these,â you told him, pulling out a cloth and treatment for his wounds, âthis might sting,â
âFuck!â
--
You had to check on him at least three times a day to check his bandages and wounds since your suspicion was right and an infection had begun to creep in. at first Jon took you each time but when he was busy he would send another in his place but as he prepared for a greater threat you assured him you would be fine.
After all each time you went it was the same routine. You helped Tormund take off his top layers, changed his bandages, applied new lotions, then more bandages all while he shamelessly flirted with you. at first each sweet word or lewd suggestion was met with blushes and stuttering but it had oddly become a welcome routine for you though you never responded to his flirts.
âMorning Tormund,â you greeted as you unlocked the door and entered his cell.
He was sat on his bed, finally feeling able to do more than lay down, with his shirt already off, âI thought youâd forgotten about me,â he grinned as you moved to sit on the edge of the bed, pulling out your supplies.
while the sight of his bare chest had made you blush originally you had seen it so often the affects had worn off. However, as you were changing the bandage on his arm your eyes glanced down and you felt your skin heat up. At first you had thought he was only bare chested but as you looked down you could clearly see his naked hip, only covered by furs.
You glanced at Tormund for just a moment before your eyes darted back to the wound, trying your best to keep your breathing calm. Out the corner of your eye however you saw the cogs begin to turn in his head, a small smirk stretching onto his lips. âAre you alright little dove?â his voice snapped you back to reality.
You could feel your skin flush as you shot him a quick smile as you assured him nothing was wrong. However, his eyes watched you with fascination the whole time. âThat oneâs done,â you said, tucking the soiled bandages into a bag you had brought. âOne second,â you told him as you went to shuffle back, allowing you to reach his stomach more easily.
âAllow me,â he grinned, shuffling up the bed slightly to give you better access to his midsection but also a new sight. you tried your best not to look but you found yourself catching a quick sight. the furs covered his manhood, but the new position meant it was all you couldnât see. In fact, it was the most you had ever seen of a man.
As your hands moved to take off his next bandage you mentally cursed yourself for trembling, âAre you sure youâre alright?â Tormund asked, mock concern in his voice as his hand reached up to push the hair out your face making you shiver, âYou seem very,â he paused thinking of a word before smirking, âflustered,â
âIâm fine,â you said again, trying to keep your voice steady as you reached for a damp cloth.
âTell me something little dove,â Tormund said, using his favourite new nickname for you apparently, âHave you ever seen a man before? a real man I mean. Not just some crow boy,â
You paused for a moment, debating whether you should even answer his taunts, âNo,â you finally stated as you reached for the ointment to apply.
You dabbed a cloth in it however as you pressed it against his skin you gasped as his hand wrapped around your wrist, âDo you want to?â he asked, a glint behind his eyes that only served to deepen your flush, âYou southerners are so sensitive,â
âIâm a northerner,â you tried to say it firmly, but it came out like a child arguing about their bedtime.
Tormund chuckled, letting go of your wrist, âNo little dove. Us northerners donât even bat an eye at a little skin. Any free woman would already be climbing under these sheets. Whereas you,â he said, suddenly leaning forward to whisper in your ear, âyou pretend as though you donât want to see it,â he whispered, his tone taunting.
Your hand reached up to his chest, pushing hard back onto it. You knew he couldâve stopped you if he wanted to but he let himself fall back into the furs with a smirk, âIâm trying to work,â you stated firmly, reaching out to apply his treatment, âand if you donât wish to have these wounds reinfected I suggest you let me,â
âWhy do you care so much if I get better?â he asked, his head cocking to the side, âitâs almost as if you donât want me to die. Tell me little dove, what is it you want?â
A thousand things came to mind but instead you only said three words, âTo go home,â
The room was silent for a moment, Tormund nodded in agreement, âAye, me too,â he said, and you wondered if for a moment he would be serious but yet again you were proven wrong, âBut when I go home, which I will, I will tell all my men of the southern beauty at the wall,â he said, moving to sit up again but your hand shot up to push his chest back. His hand however just clamped over yours making it hard not to blush as he stared into your eyes, âand how I showed you how a free man fucks his woman,â
âI am not your woman,â you said, your voice quiet.
âAye,â he agreed, leaning back into his furs, âbut you could be,â he said, his hand gripping the edge of his furs, âdonât you want to know,â he asked, pulling the sheets down slowly, revealing more of his V line.
However, as your eyes wandered down his body, your mind racing as you tried to stutter out a no, the ointment pot suddenly clattered to the floor, slipping from your hand in your daze. You quickly turned to retrieve the pot, grateful very little had spilled however as you turned back you froze.
Tormund had pulled the sheets further down revealing his manhood to you. a heavy flush covered your face as your eyes stared at the unfamiliar sight. while you knew he was large you foolishly had not expected his manhood to match. It was hard, its tip red and desperate to be touched. Thoughts raced through your mind, but you had no time to act.
You tried to speak but all that came out was vague stutters until a knock at the door snapped your attention back and you quickly jumped off the bed. The door opened suddenly to reveal a very serious looking Jon, âI need you to take a look at Gilly,â he said, his eyes glancing towards Tormund.
You looked back at the wildling and released he mustâve recovered himself in your panic, âSheâs not finished with me yet crow,â Tormund said, his voice far gruffer when he spoke to Jon instead of you.
âAye well sheâll be back later,â Jon said, stalking across the room, âIâm sure you can wrap this around yourself,â he said as he tossed a bandage out your bag at him before he turned back to you with an expected look.
You nodded, quickly gathering your things as Jon moved to wait beside the door, âGoodbye pretty girl,â Tormund whispered as you packed your things, âIf you ever want to know what a real man feels like you know where to find me,â he added as you finally were able to walk away.
Jon shot you a questionable look as you rushed out the room, your cheeks flaring up when you heard Tormund calling after you, âUntil next time little dove,â he called making Jon slam the door, locking it quickly behind him.
âIs he bothering you?â Jon asked as he led you towards Gillyâs room, âIf you feel you need an escort all you need to do is ask,â he said.
Jon looked at you with a mix of concern and confusion written on his face as you considered his offer before shaking your head, âI can handle him,â you said however you wondered if you were right, but you did know one thing. Tormund was officially stuck in your head.

A Good Name đ
-Set some months after the trio's conversation that night at the bar, the guys get a visit from their friend..and new companion. My heart is broken and I need some fluffy healing okay I really wanted to write a thing with Vander meeting baby Vi sue me.
A light rapping at the door makes Vander look up and Silco glance over his shoulder. They weren't open, and unexpected knocks usually came with some sort of headache or trouble.
They catch each other's gaze in a silent question of if they should answer, and whom if so. Silco's pen hovers above the ledger in front of him, brow raised a measure, his glass-green eyes sharp and steady. They dart towards the sound before meeting Vander's again, his head tilting slightly. Vander nods and reflexively rolls his shoulders, stepping around the table he was cleaning and takes a couple steps forward when there's a second knock-only this time it comes in a very distinctive, two-three-two pattern and both men are instantly fully alert.
Vander makes it to the door in a few hurried strides, undoing the locks and throwing it open to have two people dart inside. Closing it again he whirls and steps toward them, Silco also approaching now.
"Felicia, Connol!" he huffs, irate and concerned all at once, "We haven't heard from you in over a week! We were starting to think-"
She whips a hand forward and presses a finger to his lips, "Shhhhh...she's dozing-oh, not anymore."
It's then a small, thin cry is heard, the sound suddenly the only one in the room, and certainly not normally heard.
Vander and Silco freeze for a moment before the larger man barely finds his voice, "Is...did you..?"
Felicia rolls her eyes with a smirk, "Sorry guys. Been a little preoccupied."
Pulling aside the loose cloak she wore, she turns to reveal a wide piece of fabric wound around herself, and securely bound in the middle, cradled against her chest, was a tiny, wiggly bundle. Connol smiles broadly, weaving an arm around her shoulders, "Mates, meet our daughter."
As if knowing she was being talked about, the infant's wriggling increases and she turns her head, topped with a fluff of pinkish-red hair and gapes at the adults with brilliant, sky-blue eyes.
There's a beat of silence, save for the newborn's whimpers and soft cries, as if the reverence and significance for this moment was an unspoken agreement. Felicia tenderly brushes her fingers across her cheek and the puff of hair, a soft, peaceful smile on her face.
It's Silco who breaks the quiet with a simple, understated, "Ah...I see." still at a loss how to properly react to the situation.
"Lookit her...so small..." Vander breathes, moving closer, a lopsided grin slowly growing, "Hello there little one...lemme be the first to welcome you here though eh, it'll be a bit before you're a customer yeah?"
Connol rolls his eyes with a snort, yet Silco's face hardens just the slightest degree, "Not that I'm questioning your judgement, however is it not incredibly risky to whisk a newborn all the way here?"
"We know the best routes, and besides, this is about the safest place she could possibly be." answers Felicia.
Connol nods, "Ain't no better spot than the one that means so much to us all. It's practically our home, and we felt there'd be no better for ya to meet her."
Silco clears his throat with an understanding nod in return, a smile playing at his lips as he turns and steps back toward the bar, "Well then. I do believe congratulations are in order. How old is she?"
"Five days now," Felicia answers as she and Connol go to sit at a nearby table, readjusting the sling so she can hold her on her shoulder, "And already giving me sass!"
Vander laughs, a bright, warm laugh that bounces off the walls before he sits with them, "I don't know what you expected, bein' the result of you two!"
"Oy man what's that supposed to mean?" says Connol with feigned indignation and a smirk.
Silco joins the group then, carrying a tray with several glasses-and one deep blue tumbler. He passes a glass to each of the men, then with a little flourish and gallant bow, sets the cup in front of Felicia, who laughs and does a slight bow in return.
"A toast then. Congratulations to the new parents, to your new addition, and many hopes for the future..." says Silco proudly, raising his glass, and the others follow suit.
"Oh! Right!" Vander snaps his fingers, "So, what's her name then?"
Felicia catches his eye, a glimmer both sly and yet softened with pride in her own, "Violet, of course."
Vander freezes, mouth half open in disbelief, feeling his heart leap, having to set his glass down before he dropped it, "...What?"
"You heard me." she grins, Connol adding, "We talked about it, considered others, but we kept coming back around and decided...Violet is a good name."
Swallowing thickly, Vander takes a moment before responding, "I...don't know what to say..."
Silco shakes his head with a smile, patting the larger man's shoulder, "I think he means he's honored."
"Of course I am, just also...wow. I didn't think..." Vander laughs, much more softly, running a hand through his hair, "Violet. Yeah."
Felicia turns so the newborn is facing them, "Say hello to your uncles Vander and Silco, Violet! They look like dorks, and they can be, but I'll tell you something...there's no one who cares about us down here as much, who'll fight harder for us, who will love you more, besides me and your pa, then these two."
The baby stares at them, and Vander is surprised to feel tears pricking the corners of his eyes, "Hello, Violet...what your mum said is true. No matter what happens, we've got ya."
Noticing, Silco breaks into a mocking grin, "Oh dear dear what's this? Is the great Hound of the Underground actually crying?"
"Shut it. It's dusty in here." grumbles Vander, yet unable to hide his own grin. All laugh, then the conversation carries on...

AITA for going off on a tattoo artist for giving me the wrong mandarin letters?
Context matters a lot here. I (23ftm) recently lost my partner to cancer. They were the love of my life and I dropped everything for them- I moved states away from my family so that they could be more comfortable in a dryer climate, I made sure to be there for them through thick and thin- the works. My family, though sad, were okay with it since I had never been so passionate about anything before I met them. Losing them has been nothing short of miserable.
They were Chinese and had a very strong connection to their language and culture, so I wanted to get a tattoo that translated to "My angel, my love" with "my angel" being on the top and "my love" being on the bottom onto my arm. I wasn't able to learn any dialects from them while they were alive since things had been so busy, but I thought maybe at least I could start with this.
So, I went to a local tattoo parlor that had a Chinese tattoo artist (I hope it isn't racist to assume, I've heard him speaking in Mandarin on the phone) and asked to get the translation tattooed. He seemed genuine and we got to work with choosing a font, the right location, and scheduling an appointment. It was very professional and I was really glad that it had gone smoothly since if it hadn't, I'd probably just give up entirely.
A week passes and I get my tattoo. A bit after as we're talking about it, I mention that I got it to commemorate my late partner, whom like I said I consider to be the light of my life. When I mentioned that, he sort of paused and had this look on his face, like when you realize you forgot something really important. He shook it off though and we got back to talking, but things seemed obviously more awkward now.
When I went home I sent a picture of it to my partner's family, and immediately they picked up that something was wrong. They didn't tell me what it had actually translated to, but it was apparently very inappropriate and disrespectful.
Needless to say I was breaking down. My partner had died, I was struggling with depression and fatigue from handling a lot of the funeral procedures, and overall that had been the straw that broke the camel's back. This is where I may be the asshole. I drove back to the parlor shop and found my tattoo artist, and I didn't get physical, but I had definitely wanted to. I was yelling at him, screaming about how he was a horrible shitty person, the works. He argued back that I should have at least given him a reason for the tattoo, since he gets white people coming in all the time asking for dumb stuff, but I shot back that he could have at least told me what he had done when I did reveal why I got the tattoo.
Again, I didn't get physical, but they did threaten to call the cops on me if I didn't leave since I wss making a scene, so I left and later emailed that I had at the very least wanted a refund, since they didn't even give me the tattoo I wanted. I still haven't gotten a response yet.
My family (both biological and in-laws) are very conflicted over this. Some of them think that I could have dealt with it a lot better, while others think I should have threatened them with a lawsuit (obviously there's inbetween opinions but those are the main two extremes). I can't afford a lawsuit considering I'm already dealing with the funeral funds like I said, but I don't know. I don't even know if yelling at the guy made me feel better or worse- it was an in-the-moment response to be sure.
So, with more context, AITA for yelling at the tattoo artist who gave me an inappropriate tattoo instead of the one I really wanted?
What are these acronyms?

Behind Closed Phones (Norton x Female Reader)
NSFW WARNING
(Modern AU)
Just a silly lil fic where you and Norton send each other cute little messages that eventually turn into something steamy as hell
( Nortonâs appearance is based on his summer costume so his eyes are blue and his hair is blonde - itâs my #1 dream costume and it has me going SO crazy every time I see it or see someone else using it đ„Č)
You quickly rolled over to the other side of your bed after hearing a notification from your phone. It must be Norton.
Nort: hey gorgeous, u up?
You smiled to yourself as you saw the message. He mustâve finally arrived in Miami, where he had gone on vacation. He wanted to bring you along too, but you insisted that it was best if you let him enjoy some time with his best buds in peace.
But now, you did regret saying that. Because you were missing him so damn badly.
You: yeah, are u in Miami now?
Nort: yea we arrived here like an hour ago lol
Nort: the heat is already getting to me
You: wish I was there with u, I regret not going :(
Nort: wish u were here too
Nort: I miss u so bad baby
Nort: hey this is luca and norton said that he gets hard thinking about u
You put your hand to your mouth at the last message, thinking about whether you should laugh or be shocked by the sudden change of topic. Luca appearing out of nowhere was funny, but what he said seemed to intrigue you even more.
You: for real?!?!
Nort: ignore luca heâs just being a dumbass lmao
You shook your head and laughed. You knew Norton too well, he was definitely lying.
Then an idea popped into your mind, and your smile curled into a smirk. You knew the perfect way to get Norton to tell the truth.
You: lmao alr, anyways wyd rn
Nort: just unpacking shit n sorting out stuff at the beach house
Nort: wbu baby
Now it was time for action.
You: oh not much, just taking my clothes off rn cuz Iâm about to have a shower
Nort: damn girl show me whatâs under those clothes
You: alr hold on
You quickly took your shirt and pants off, leaving just your bra and panties on. You sat on your legs, slightly parting them while you pulled down your bra, showing more cleavage than before. Taking a quick photo, you immediately sent it to Norton.
Nort: OH FUCK
His reply was instant. He didnât send anything after that, which did leave you confused.
But it was simply because Norton DID get hard in an instant, that he didnât have a chance to say anything else.
Immediately locking himself in the bathroom, he began to jerk himself off. Then he paused and thought of something. A sly grin appeared on his face.
You had put your phone down on the bed after Norton wasnât replying, when all of a sudden you got a notification.
Your cheeks reddened when you saw that he had sent a video. Clicking on it, you almost dropped your phone.
He first faced the camera on his face, his gorgeous blue eyes staring forward while his soft blonde hair gently flowed with each movement. He moved the camera slightly down, revealing his hard dick which he began stroking. His face was red, as he kept repeating your name over and over again while strings of glistening white cum seeped through his tip and rolled down his hands.
Luca was right after all, and so were you. Your plan was a success.
But now, you had to return the favour.
You placed your phone camera on your pillow so that it would stay in place. You gave a smile as you pushed your hair back and flaunted your body. You unclasped your bra and took it off, throwing it to the side, and then you began slipping off your panties. You turned around, facing your ass to the camera while arching your back, and used your hand to spread your hole.
âNorton babyâŠIâm empty without youâŠâ you moaned, before turning back around to stop recording. Your heartbeat increased as you sent it to Norton.
About a minute or two later, Norton called you. A video call. You answered it immediately.
Norton was lying in his bed, half of his face buried into the pillow.
âNghâŠyou really fucked me up huhâŠâ his voice was muffled, and so was his laugh.
âDonât act like you didnât do the same thing to me.â You laughed back.
Both of you werenât showing your bodies, only your faces. You decided to make a move first.
Nortonâs phone dropped the moment you moved yours back.
âYou alright?â You began laughing.
He picked the phone up again, covering his forehead with his hand.
âI swear the first thing Iâm gonna do when I come back from this vacation is fuck the daylights out of you.â He groaned.
âHey Nort, weâre gonna go play some volleyball. You coming?â
You immediately panicked and turned your camera off after hearing Naibâs voice.
âSure, just give me a few minutes.â He said.
He laughed when he saw that your camera was off.
âItâs alright, heâs gone. Anyways Y/N, you have one week.â He smiled.
âYeah, I know youâre coming back in a week.â You laughed.
âNoâŠnoâŠnot that.â He shook his head.
He gave a devilish grin.
âIâm giving you a week to prepare yourself, because next Monday youâll be struggling to walk.â

Sum: You and Lydia Deetz are searching for Lydia's daughter Astrid. Until they realized who had her. Delores didn't want Beetlejuice or Lydia. She wants you.

âHow did I get here? You thought as the outline of chalk faded from the brick wall. You and Lydia ran through the corridor entering the land of the undead. "Y/n, follow me. I've been here before."
"Yeah, and look what happened. Your daughter got kidnapped twice. This time it isn't some crazed ghost boy. It's your lover boy's ex-wife." You stomped mad as hell. Your boots scuffing the checkered tile. "Delores!? I watched her die! She got eaten by a sandworm!" Lydia stopped in her tracks in disbelief. "Yeah, well my sources tell me that she somehow dug her way out of the sandwormâs stomach before she was digested. Sorry about your boyfriend though." You motioned her to keep up as time was of the essence.
"I could give a shit about him, we need to find Astrid! Why did Delores take her?"
"Some sort of witch magic Delores got her stitched hands on, she posed as Astrid's father in the living and when Astrid came close enough to her she snatched her to the afterlife." You spoke sternly as your best friend was taken. Your parents were exorcists, but one day something went awry, and you were an infant caught in the crossfire. You were deeply affected resulting in your ability to pass through the afterlife and the living. "Well, Y/n we should turn here I think I remember a shortcut." Lydia pointed to the left whereas you were destined to go straight on. "Lydia, come now. Why not call that bio-exorcist dude? Beetle-"
"No! Don't say his name! Ever! We already have enough problems, let alone letting him get in this mess!" Lydia turned, once you two met face to face the lights in the distorted hallway dimmed turning pitch black. A sharp chill ran throughout your spine as though someone slid their fingers down your skin.
A blue light emerged, revealing Delores at the end of the hall with a firm grasp around Astrid's neck. "Hello Lydia, it's been a minute," Delores smirked. Her pale skin shone in the light as though a spotlight appeared.
"Give me back my daughter Delores! I don't want your husband!" Lydia tried to move her feet but was stopped. Her foot froze not touching the floor.
"Oh," Delores chuckled. "You think I want him? Well, let's just say I'm getting a proper divorce. Being said that however if I can't have him, no woman can." She flicked her wrist flying Lydia backwards crashing into an array of swinging doors down another hallway. Astrid screamed out in fear her mother was injured. You stood motionless as you watched Astrid's small body in comparison to Delore's be disregarded to the ground. She fell to her back wheezing out a cough. Delores lifted her hand again flicking her wrist, as Astrid caught her breath she was flung in the air her body stuck to the ceiling. Â
"You made your point. Why me? Our paths never crossed!" You spat as Delores's body cascaded down the hall meeting you. She grinned again tracing her index along the wall. The wall began to crack where her finger lay. "We have not met? Surely you must remember? Did it not matter to you!?" Her hand left the wall snatching your throat and lifted you off the floor. You gasped for air as Delores's hand clenched, her nails dug into your skin. She pulled your face closer to hers. Her lips brushed yours with every breath. Her grin remained as she exhaled out. Your lips met with hers inhaling in, the pit of your stomach dropped and you became lightheaded. Delores exhaled and you quickly regained your senses. Feeling your soul come back to your body.
You did remember. That night, you were passing through a portal during a rather gruesome exorcism. You saw a woman mangled. She was carrying her calf in hand with a stapler. Shaking her limbs out leaving a trail of sand. Her body was wet, you initially thought it was water but upon further inspection, it was thicker than water. Like saliva. The woman's stitches were rusted, and her makeup was ruined, running past her chin to her neck. You stopped for a moment to lend a hand. After all, you thought she was in rougher shape than what you were dealing with. So you helped her remove and staple her body back.
You could not believe you had forgotten that. You were beginning to get lightheaded again as your feet dangled. "C-Can we talk please...put me down," You wheezed. "We can sort this out can't we." You coughed out as the floor underneath Delores became fuzzy. Delores smirked dropping you to the floor. Your feet felt like pins and needles trying to stand up. "Okay, let's talk. In private." Delores kicked your stomach latching your arm and dragging you down the hallway. Further from where Lydia and yourself entered. Your eyes fluttered as the double doors faded in the distance and the hall became more distorted. You blacked out.
âżÌ©Íâż àŒș â° àŒ» âżÌ©Íâż
You awoke on a velvet red decrepit couch. In what looks to be a cubicle office. 6 desks in an array in the middle of the office. Every desk had a phone ringing off the hook but no one to tend to them. Delores caught your eye as she stood on a balcony. You guessed perhaps where the manager of these cubicles sat. "So you decided to wake up? So glad you could join me.â Delores cascaded down the stairs, her dress flowed making it so that she had no feet. Just gliding along the laminate.
"Where the hell am I?" You arose to your feet, you were halted by Delores's hand as she pushed you back down. She smirked as her body bent down on top of you. Funny, at this moment you should have been scared but all you could think about was how far those stitches along Delores's chest went. "As you said, you wanted to talk huh? Sort things out? We can, but I think we can do more than talk." Delores's breathed out dragging her tongue across her teeth. Perhaps you were imagining things or maybe you weren't but it seemed this wasn't a revenge or hostage situation. You started to wish it was.
"W-what do you want to talk about Delores? I have nothing to give you. If you want me to bring you to the living it's impossible! You're not Beetlejuic-..." You were hushed by one of Delores's stitched fingers. "I don't want that Y/n. No need to say his name." Her Italian accent layered thick. "I want you. Your kindness has touched this heart of mine so dearly, my love." Delores's hand snatched your chin lifting your body off the couch. Your boots dragged against the laminate flooring. "Me?! Why? All I did was stitch you back up!"
"Of course amore, the way you touched every part of me...ah...so sensually. Like you cared for me and my body." Delores's other hand traced her body starting from her hips and making her way up to her chest, then to her shoulder. "I stapled you. That's your turn-on? Jesus, the dead are all morally grey." I choked with the frequent buzzing noise from far away. "You are too Y/n, you are 'morally grey'. I saw it." Her hand left her collarbone tracing her thumb along my cheek. "Saw what Delores? All I do is exorcisms in the afterlife, nothing more!"
"Huh, funny because I remember following you a couple of weeks back...you were saving...merda....who was it? Yes! A little girl! You thought you could hide it afterwards. Sneak away sorta speak." Delores let go of her jaw as your boots hit the floor and your body fell to your knees. You slumped forward as you were able to breathe again. You were at eye level with Delores's heels "So you were stalking me?" You spat unpeeling your cheek from the floor. You peered above to see Delores looking down on you. "Stalking is such a hard word, my love, I would say watching, looking out for you if anything would ever occur." She grinned ear to stapled ear playing with her finger. Thrusting that exact finger in and out of her other hand. If you weren't scared shitless you're dirty mind would've taken over by now.
"Like a guardian angel, I suppose?" Your hands fell to your knees wanting to rise from the floor. Delores stopped you again by resting her hand firmly on your head. "Not the word I would use but in a sense. Ever since we met I have had this burning desire. This tingly feeling, as though, I am alive again!"
"So you're obsessed with me? That's why you kidnapped Astrid!" Delores grin disappeared eruptly. "Why the hell are so worried about that stupid girl?!" Delores rushed towards you as tried to scurry away. Her hand latched onto your belt dragging you back to her. "She can't give you what I can! And I know you can give me what I want! I saw you! With that Miss Argentina chick in the breakroom!" Delores's flipped you back on your knees pressing one of her heels to your thigh. You whinced as her strength held you down. "I want you to give me that. Just like you gave to that little civil servant." Delores's knee slid slowly grazing your temple as she lifted the skirt of her gown. You soon realized Delores had no staples on her thighs, only above her kneecaps. If you weren't so pissed off at the moment you would have found this hot. Who were you kidding? You found this hot regardless.
"Delores! No! Come on! You're a beautiful woman but I hardly know you!"
"Well, I survived the Black Plague. I enjoy the opera and wine. I ran a cult in Italy sucking souls to chase immortality and had a fun time doing that, then I got married and got chopped into tiny pieces! Got it? Great! Start licking!" Delores's hand grasped a fistful of your hair tilting your head back. Slamming your face into Delores's center.
"Hmph-..." You tried to speak or push away with your tongue but that drove Delores crazier more than she already was. "Oh-...How about you put those lips to work instead of just talking huh?" Delores groaned smushing your face against her parted lips. You couldn't fight it let alone breathe at this rate. You just had to give in. Though, after you finally caved you didn't object. Your tongue parted Delores's glossy folds feeling her cold body temperature shake up. Her slick warmth began to run down your chin. Delores's thigh starts to twitch against your head. Her skin lightly tapped your cheek. "Uh huh, I need to feel youâŠNow!" Her Italian accent caked in her groans. Your hands latched onto Delores's thighs caressing her skin. You could feel each staple protruding.
Deloresâs hips slowly bucked maintaining the rhythm of your tongue. Her breath hitched with every flick your tongue made. Your tongue continued to soak up Delores as the tip of your tongue traced Deloresâs clit rolling it back and forth against you. Deloresâs head tilted back sucking a breath back. âPorca miseriaâŠAre you gonna be a good girl for me? Huh-ah!" She moaned out with her hair flying behind her back. The way she murmurs pure Italian filth while theyâre touching your hair. Her fingers interlocking in your stands forcefully pushing your face in place. Your tongue slid from Delores's clit to her folds, gently tugging her lips. Sucking each side. "Of course Delor-..." You were shut up by Delores's hand forcefully. Â
"Just⊠right there! That feels so good-..." Delores whimpered out. "Suck on it." She ordered. Your jaw tilted going back to her clit, trying to lap up her juices from running down your neck. Delores stomped her heel on your thigh, it did sting but you did not care. You know she couldn't help it. You felt every muscle twitch against your tongue. You shuddered at the thought of being discovered, you shook the feeling continuing to work on Delores's pussy. You found yourself enjoying it even if you did protest at first. You usually do.
Delores's hips began to grind on your tongue, harshly straddling your face. Her small grunts escaping her lips grew louder. "Oh god...buono...I'm going to cu-ah!" Delores's orgasm came by no surprise for you, you felt it build just not knowing when it would finally come. Delores's fingers squeezed tighter into your scalp with a strange sound. A snapping sound you would say. It wasn't until you heard the sound of a staple plummeting to the floor did you realized it was a part of her.
"Thatâs it, fuck, thatâs a good girl. Swallow it. All of it." Delore's head tilted back as her free hand ushered her hair to fall back off her shoulder. She cooed herself trying to contain her composure. You did as were told, licking up the mess you created. Delores's let up her heel on your thigh but you still felt her heel digging even if she wasn't there anymore. A little hole in your jeans was created.
"Haha! Well amore, I guess you earned your friend back huh?" You watched as she bent down retrieving her severed ring finger off the floor behind you. Delores made attempts to re-attach her finger without assistance but you watched in pity. You watched her lean back to grab a staplegun lying beside the couch. You rose from your knees before this statuesque corpse bride. "Here, you're still shakey. You're going to staple the damn thing backwards." You twisted her finger to have her nail facing you. You stroked her hand lending you the stapler, you positioned it and without hesitation, the stapler went off. A few clicks around her finger. Something that did not bug Delores any longer. The pain you mean.
"Bravo! Where would I be without you Y/n."
"Still here Del. You don't need me." You threw the stapler onto a cushion. "Now, about Astrid." You were hushed again by Delore's re-attached finger. "No, no. We don't need her. We just need each other." Delores leaned in softly grazing her lips across yours.
"Halt! You Succubus!" A loud crash erupted behind you, as a green man appeared in a black and white striped suit. "Toro! Toro!" He crashed through a brick wall waving a red cape.
"Beetlejuice!" Delores barked throwing you behind her. "Eeek!" This Beetle-maniac silenced Delores by stapling her mouth shut. "Phew! I wish I did that when we first got hitched, Huh honey?" The green menace grimaced. The beetle-man whistled over to me.
"Hey! You! Yeah, you better scram! The ex and I need couples therapy if you catch my drift." He winked still taunting Delores. Delores ripped out the staples spewing Italian profanities at the bio-exorcist which made him break a sweat. Delores flicked her hand sending the green dude pinned against a wall. You scurried out before the chance of being discovered as they both had to work their shit out.
"Now, where the hell is everybody!"

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
When you were six, you held a fake wedding by the swings with a kid you met at the park. You never saw your childhood âspouse" again after that day. Today you received a letter summoning you to a foreign country...where your wedding to the heir to the throne fifteen years ago is seen as valid.
Turns out, he's lying to you? Wait...WHAT?
Warning: Not proofread
Here you were, standing before the King and Queen, who seemed unusually tense. What had you done wrong? You bowed, greeting them respectfully, "Your Highnesses. I was informed that you wanted to see me."
They exchanged a glance before the Queen shot a glare at the King, surprising you. Before either of them could speak, Katsuki stormed into the room. You turned to him, startled by his sudden appearance.
"Wonderful! Now that youâre both here, I have something important to discuss," the King began, his expression serious. You straightened your back and met his gaze, trying to remain calm.
Katsuki's voice cut through the silence. "Bullshit, tell her why she's really here."
The King opened his mouth to speak once again, surely to reprimand the Prince for his actions and unruly behaviour but was cut short by the sound of heels clicking against the marble floor echoed in the distance, and the throne room doors swung open, revealing a stunning maiden.
She was dressed in a flowing, light pink gown that hugged her curves in all the right places, accentuating her hourglass figure. A sparkling tiara adorned her short, coffee-brown hair that matched her warm, brown eyes that sparkled, reflecting the light from the chandelier, and her full lips curved into a confident smile as she entered the room with grace.
She was the epitome of beauty and that suddenly made you a bit insecure. Was this the Princess you heard of all this time?
The King smiled widely, something he hadn't done since you met him and extended his hand outward.
"Bakugo, I have important news. A cause for celebration. Meet Princess Ochako Uraraka, of the Kirumasuta Kingdom, your bride-to-be." Bakugo glared harshly at the girl who hadn't done anything wrong and that made you feel a certain way.
"My what?!" he yelled, causing the girl to flinch at his brash nature. Bakugo turned to look at you and his face softened, giving you a look of apology.
She finally bowed to the family and damn was she proper. You stared at her like a deer in headlights. "A pleasure to meet you, Prince Bakugo." Her voice was so soft and delicate and it only fueled your sadness more. Surely Katsuki would prefer her over you.
"Whatever," he grumbled but the girl just smiled.
"That is no way to treat your future bride, Katsuki!" his mother screeched at him, slapping him upside down the head. You thought they preferred you but she was a Princess. What hope did you have now?
Katsuki rubbed the back of his head, glaring at his mother before looking back at Princess Uraraka. His frustration was evident, but there was something else in his eyesâconfusion, perhaps? You couldnât tell.
"Oh! I believe we haven't met already. My name is Princess Uraraka!" She started to walk towards you with a soft smile. "You must be the girl everyoneâs buzzing about! Itâs a pleasure to meet the Princeâs so-called 'childhood bride.'"
"Likewise, Your Highness," you spoke softly, despite the emotional turmoil going through you. Childhood bride, huh?
"She will be staying with us for a while until everything is sorted out for your wedding." The king nodded, seeming pleased with everything going on.
You turned to Katsuki, who had his head down and fists balled at his side. You double-tapped an emergency button on your phone, causing it to ring. All eyes turned to you as your ringtone sounded through the silent room. You glanced at your phone and widened your eyes, hoping that they would buy the act.
"Excuse me. There are matters of concern that I need to tend to." you bowed curtly and walked out of the throne room. Your feet hurt and there was an aching in your heart that wouldn't seem to go away. It had been a month since you had been there and you and Katsuki had bonded so well. You felt like your time had been wasted. Why did he even contact you in the first place?
You finally spot the doors of your room, the room he picked and designed for you.
'Future Queen needs sum' nice.' he smirked as his hand squeezed your waist.
Yeah, right.
Closing the doors behind you, you set your phone down and look at your reflection in the mirror. Ruined mascara, smudged lipgloss, a sea of tears and messy hair, there you were in your dirty glory. The note above your mirror caused you to inspect it. A few words stood out to you the most.
'You must come to live with me, and you shall be Queen and all of your needs will be tended to.'
Your mind was made up. This was absurd and you weren't going to waste your time any longer. You have a job, family and friends to go back to. With that final thought, you took off your heels and dress and started packing your bags.
Back at the throne room, the King and Queen were engaged in conversation with the Queen of Kirumasuta. Katsuki and Ochako stood at their parents' sides, quiet.
Every once in a while, his mother would nudge him to answer a question and he replied with one-word answers because his mind was too focused on you. He knew that nobody had called you. For fuck's sake, he saw you double tap the emergency button.
"... their engagement party next week!" those few words snapped him back to reality. "What?" he hissed, looking at his father with rage.
"I think you need to be excused, Katsuki. Your behaviour is getting out of hands." his mother patted his shoulder and pushed him to the exit.
"Goodbye, Prince Bakugo." Ochako called after him but the male mumbled 'good riddance' under his breath and rushed out to find his girl.
Mina was currently helping you pack as you relayed the entire story to her. "I don't know what I was thinking. He belongs here... I'm just a city girl."
And well into the third suitcase, a knock came on your door. The familiar gruff voice called your name and you sighed, opening the door.
He noticed the mascara stains on your cheeks and sighed, raising his hand to try and wipe them away. You pulled back. "Your highness, how may I help you?"
Katsuki felt heartbroken. Your highness? So this was how you actually felt? He stared at you dejected, his shoulders slumped, long forgoing his 'proper' posture.
"I am deeply grateful for your kindness in showing me royal life. However, the facade is over and I must return, there are important matters I must attend to. When can the next flight take me home?" you spoke without looking at him, opting instead to lower your gaze to the floor.
Silence coursed through you for a moment, with the occasional ruffle of clothes, as Mina was instructed to continue packing.
"If there's nothing else you have to-" you were cut short by a whisper from Katsuki.
"'M sorry."
You stayed silent, shocked. This was the first time he apologized to you. A loud thud caused you to turn around and your eyes snapped to your favorite book lying on the floor, with Mina standing there, as pale as a ghost, mouth slightly agape.
"Oops! My bad, Y/n. I need... to... go to the bathroom. Yeah! That's right. Excuse me." she practically ran out of your room, stumbling all the way down to the end of the hall. What was that all about?
Katsuki took the initiative and walked into the room, pulling you in with him and closing the door.
"I promise I didn't know that was gonna happen." he spoke slowly, almost like he was scared of something.
"It's okay, your highness." you turned away from him to zip up your third and final suitcase.
"Cut the crap, Y/n, talk to me, please."
"It doesn't matter, Bakugo! None of this matters anymore! You have a perfect Princess and a wonderful Kingdom to go with it! Why do you continue to pursue me?" you shouted, taking off the golden hairpin, allowing your hair to drop from the bun and fall down your back, with the exception of a few strands that were in your face. You threw the object at the other side of the room, causing it to hit the wall and break.
"'Cause I like you." he shouted, more aggressive than he expected it to be. His hands were sweating so he stuffed them in his pockets. He wanted to sigh out of relief when you finally looked at him, eyes teary.
Silence.
Your voice trembled as you spoke, "You... like me?"
"Damn right I do." he scoffed, trying to muster up a smile.
"...this is wrong." you sigh, pulling out a makeup wipe to clean your face. You turned to the mirror and began swiping at your face. Katsuki walked up behind you, wrapping a hand around your midriff and pulling you close to him. You squeaked.
"Ya belong here with me. Never wanted t' marry her."
Your heart ached at his words, but you couldn't let yourself be swayed so easily. "And what about your parents? The kingdom? They expect you to marry her, not me."
He shook his head vehemently and whips out his phone to point it to the mirror in front of your face, so that he can block it out. "Don't care about their expectations. I care about you. Yer the one I want, not her."
He snapped multiple pictures before you could even realize what was happening.
"What are you gonna do with those?" you ask frantically trying to take the phone from him.
"Ya face ain't in it. Relax. What's your insta?" he asked, fingers already waiting at the search bar. You mumbled it to him and picked up your phone, opening Insta just in time to see him request to follow you.
You took a look at his profile and holy damn he had a lot of followers. Scrolling through his pictures, which were very little, you realized he had posted a picture of the royal library, of the same book you were reading. You smiled slightly.
A notification popped up on your screen. Katsuki had posted the picture and a few seconds later, the media went wild.
"Speculations about Prince Bakugo having an affair whilst in a relationship with Princess Uraraka are circulating online. Citizens are confused because this seems out of character. Who is this mystery Princess and what will she bring to the throne?"
As you sat on the couch with Mina beside you, flipping through the channels, the persistent news coverage about Katsuki's post and its aftermath dominated every broadcast. The speculation about your role as the "mystery Princess" weighed heavily on your mind. Outside, obsidian painted the night sky, dots of white sprinkled on top, but noticeably absent was the moon.
Mina glanced at you, her expression unreadable amidst the swirling emotions of the day. "They'll figure it out eventually," she said.
You nodded silently, feeling exhausted. The truth was out, but the repercussions were still unfolding. After Katsuki posted that image, his parents summoned him and he ordered you to stay indoors with Mina and not answer anyone else but him.
"They'll want answers," you murmured, more to yourself than to her.
"Ya hear me, damnit!"
Katsukiâs voice echoed through the palace halls, shaking the staff to their core. His mother, Queen Mitsuki, shot him a fiery glare. âYou will do what we say because that is what is right! Boy, do you not understand what you're doing?â
"I ain't marryin' damn round face, fucâ" he began, but his father, King Masaru, raised a hand, silencing him. Katsuki bit his tongue, the necessity of respecting the King holding him back.
"Why? She's perfect for you. She's beautiful, talented, from a traditional royal family..." The King glanced at the Queen as he spoke, and she nodded her head, reinforcing that Uraraka was indeed the perfect wife for Katsuki.
"Traditional my ass. They're only after the money, for fuck's sake!" Katsukiâs frustration was evident, his fists clenched at his sides and steam was practically pouring out of his ears.
The Queenâs eyes narrowed. âWatch your language, young man. This alliance is beneficial for both kingdoms.â
The blond clicked his tongue. "There's someone else..." he muttered, casting his glare downwards. If he wanted to have you and make all of this work out, he needed to show his parents that you were going nowhere, and neither was he.
"You don't mean... her." the Queen sighed heavily, walking up to her son to place a hand on his tense shoulder. He thought about you and a small smile came to his face, something that didn't go unnoticed by the royal couple.
"She's different." he let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding. The Queen shook her head.
"She's different all right. She doesn't even have the gift!" his father reminded, and he froze.
He looked down at his hand and held up his palm, letting a few crackling explosions burst through, each one bigger than the last. It was no secret that each person with royal blood had been gifted, but then again, it wasn't a well-known fact, with some scientists having said that it was impossible and just a myth.
Katsuki clenched his jaw, frustration evident in every muscle of his body. "So what if she can't blow shit up? She's smart, kind, and she makes me happy. Ain't that what matters?"
Queen Mitsuki's expression softened slightly, but her resolve remained firm. "It's not just about happiness, Katsuki. It's about duty and responsibility. As a prince, you have to think about the kingdom first."
Katsuki opened his eyes, fire burning in them. "And what if I'm fuckin' miserable? What if I can't do my duty 'cause I'm trapped in a marriage I don't want?"
"Then I guess that's something you'll have to deal with."
He closed his eyes... duty versus desire.

steal your night (part 1) | sung hanbin Ëââ§âșË
you never knew you had a boyfriend until sung hanbin eats your tiramisu and steals your heart under the stars of monaco
SERIES: a night in monaco â one, two
TAGS: fake dating, strangers to lovers, business man!hanbin, gn!reader, flirty hanbin and you ehe, meet cute <3, summer vibes
A/N: sorry for the disappearance lmao take my hanbin pining as an apology, and as always, purely self indulgent
WORDS: ~1300
Trouble comes when dessert is served.
Everything considered, itâs horrible timing. Sun setting just so over the Mediterranean, hearty chatter firing all around in all sorts of languages and your wine being warm company on a supposedly lonely night. It makes a perfect set-up as your spoon hovers mid-air as you prepare to dig into some well-deserved tiramisu.
Until someone slides into the very empty seat across from you, slips a crisp black business card across the table to you â it reads 'Sung Hanbin' â and uttering the most insane thing yet: "Love, I'm so sorry for being late!"
What.
You barely get to say anything before he's swooping in for la bise. As you lean in, his expensive cologne lingers like smoke in the air. It's a narrow dodge of your lips, but he swerves and lands a quick kiss to your right cheek and then dares to go for a second on your left. Consider yourself stunned because all you do is watch him pull away and a grin at you with a gorgeous smile.
You want to sit and gape for a second, let yourself breathe, and now with a longer look, let him breathe.
This, Hanbin, has flushed cheeks and is twitchy with how he holds your hand â when did that happen?! â across the table. There's a light sheen of sweat on his skin and not due to the heat, more like he's either embarrassed or nervous about this. He breathes in short, sharp gasps as if he's been running and mouths something to you.
Please play along. His hand still holds yours, and he squeezes just so.
Hanbin turned his head to the right slightly. Stood at a table near the entrance was a woman with a flowy silver dress on and hair pulled into quite a severe bun. Her pointed heels tapping on the spot and her jittery eyes glance over at you two, but quickly look somewhere else when she catches your curious gaze.
âSheâs been trying to get me to buy her a meal all day,â he sighs. âThing is, I even saw her scoping me out yesterday at a bar last night. I was naĂŻve enough to buy her a drink to start some conversation, but sheâs taken it as personal permission to stalk me. She clearly hasnât gotten the memo.â And he squeezes your hand again, this time to comfort himself.
âWhat about me? What if I turn out to be some crazy thatâs out to steal your Amex and claim my fifth husband?â
âYou? No way, you have a top shelf wine and a second plate of tiramisu in front of you already. You're doing perfectly fine without my money," Hanbin lists before his gaze turns considering. "Unless... you weren't lying about the husbands.â
You laugh into your wine and eye Hanbin over the rim. "You wouldnât look too bad in a wedding tux, pretty boy, who knows?â
The long column of Hanbinâs neck is exposed thanks to the open collar of his shirt. Revealing the delicate sun, moon and star on his collar that only keeps you stuck in wonder for longer.
You can only imagine how smooth the skin feels â under your hands and lips â but maybe thatâs the wine talking when he sits there fine and handsome against the candlelight. The sunset paints saturated hues against his skin, you can barely see the blush that peeks above his collar thanks to it.
If you friends were here, you know what theyâd say about him: trouble, hot and wealthy trouble.
âEyes up here, love.â Your eyes leap back up to Hanbinâs to only see amusement in them. Getting caught flushes your face with heat but his eyes are dark enough to forget yourself in.
You try to push on, clearing your throat and pulling yourself together. âSo, the deal is we act like lovers the rest of the night?â The weight of the word lovers is a syrupy one, overtly sweet and something far from familiar for you but Hanbin only smiles at it.
âOf course, love. Shouldnât be too hard with someone as sweet as you,â he grins however his eyes still linger on that woman in silver, clearly on edge.
You drum your fingers on the table, the rush of meeting each other melting quickly in the air. Awkward tension is bound to seep in soon and you'll be damned if it does! you're not losing this chance no matter how much trouble this man could be.
A stroke of brilliance brings you to push forward your untouched plate of tiramisu over to him, careful with the spoon balancing precariously on the plate. âWhat?â you smile at his confused face. âI wasnât eating it anyway and you need a distraction.â But he just raises his brows like he doesn't believe it.
At his reluctance, you sigh and begin to flag down a waitress.
âHey! Hey, donât kick me out pleaseâIâll eat it!⊠even pay for it!ââ Hanbin flusters even further as you push a finger against his soft lips to shut him up as the waitress arrives.
Itâs a beat of silence.
âTwo more tiramisus, please.â Hanbinâs laugh of disbelief trails the waitress as she leaves.
What you do find out is that itâs stupidly easy to talk to Hanbin. You tell him why youâre even here in Monaco: about your crazy best friends marrying after years of adventures, about being the responsible one in a group of misfits, about growing up and never quite finding the one unlike how they did. Loneliness is a familiar tale on your tongue, the wine tinging everything you say with bitter honesty youâve never been able to let out with anyone else.
With Hanbin, you learn about his job as a business consultant: his annoying â but endearing! â juniors Yujin and Gyuvin, how him and Zhang Hao â his other colleague â are out here for strictly business. Until of course, he met you.
âWhat are your doing out here so alone, anyway?â he probed. Heâs so much closer now, having moved his chair to be next to you instead of opposite you. âYouâre too pretty to be single but I really hope you are.â
You shrug off the flirting for once and let yourself disappear back into the chair. âEveryone else I know are in relationships so theyâre all away on dates across the city. I figured stealing myself away on a self-date would be better than sitting lonely in a hotel room all night.âÂ
He hums, a low and melodic thing. You can feel the heat of him next to you, the weight of his presence and the cut of his cologne all over again. Though nothing prepares you when Hanbin takes your hand in his.
He raises it, gentle and kind, slow and despairing, and presses his lips to your ring finger.
"Well then, may I steal your night?" he asks like a dare. A whisper barely heard but shared between you two.
Eyes far too low and gaze far too heavy for a look between strangers. The implications are clearer than the night sky above. Hanbin's lips linger with a smirk, and you can feel everything in you screaming to look away before you melt into the floor but all you can do is stare.
Trouble. Is what your mind is screaming. It's what you really want after all this pining in silence. Someone to crash into your life and take you with them.
"You don't even know my name."
It comes out like an accusation. Trouble, trouble, trouble. It brings you here and leaves you dizzy, craving for more.
"Why would I need it, love. You'll be saying mine all night.â
The woman is long gone into the night so there's no need for this play-pretend. But trouble looks you in the eyes and you kiss him with a heart that yearns for more.
