(there was something about mabel screaming at bill. very emotional except that he was magically imprisoned inside a baseball bat for some reason so it just became stupid instead. also the whole town flooding, which was apparently bill's fault. also pacifica being upset when she found out she gave hair products to bill cipher.)

no yeah that sounds exactly like something that would happen.

he's inside a baseball bat because he was trYING to get into a yellow triangular kite but misfired and hit something else in the toy aisle.

the flood's being caused by The Entity That's Come To Town to retrieve the cursed artifact Bill used to get into the bat.

Pacifica forgives Mabel for giving her hair product to The Enemy when she sees Bill's incomparably beautiful golden curls in person. Okay, she gets it. She doesn't understand why the heck somebody with that kind of natural beauty would want to be a baseball bat

💞: which future scene are you looking forward to writing? OHHHH MAN i really want to write the schneeblings reuinion. i haven't done it yet because i'm worried i won't be able to pull it off but there's at least one in every single wip and the specific one i'm talking about has a lot of context and layers and things that i want to be able to draw out

💟: how is your style different in this work compared to previous ones? has it more shifted for the story or just developed in general? i think i've gotten a lot better at like. sentence economy? my style changes a little bit for everything i write (at from what i can see) but for this doc specifically it's a lot more. i guess clipped? which makes sense because i'm writing from winter's perspective and i'm trying to get that 'i should probably have looked into an autism diagnosis and spoken to a therapist about my emotional repression issues but im also the last surviving member of my family so there are some more urgent issues taking precedent rn' vibe across. and also now that i've started taking creative writing at uni that's impacted how i think about how i write a lot!

That ask about Goldies eyes had me wondering

Hypothetically, let's say our universe is in the same multiverse as GF and let's say Bill know about it

Do all the sexy human-ified Bills count? Can he see through those? Are they more "him" than he is as Goldie? Is he just too offended by them to even consider using them?

They're even less him.

Things that are Bill, from most to least Bill-ish, and thus things that he can see through:

Bill Cipher himself, triangular & angular, in all his true golden glory

Bill Cipher stuck in a human body. Like there's still Bill inside there—probably, he hopes—but there's a lot of meat in the way muffling his nature. But Bill himself is still right there.

photographs/video of the actual real Bill Cipher. This means photos of him in triangle form, or photos of his eyes in his current human body.

Artistic depictions of the symbol that represents Bill Cipher—the Eye of Providence, the All-Seeing Eye: an eyeball inside a triangle. Extra accessories—hat, bow, bricks, stick limbs—are appreciated but unnecessary. As long as there's an eyeball inside a triangle created with the intent that it be "that eye-in-a-triangle symbol" (even if the creator doesn't know about Bill), then it's him.

Things that are not Bill:

Everything else in all the universe(s). "Everything else" includes artwork that's intended to somehow symbolize the nature of Bill in another form. The only artwork that works is the eye-in-triangle symbol; anything else BUT that symbol, even if it's trying to "represent" Bill somehow, doesn't count. It's not his face.

But if a drawing of any human body were to be "him," it would be the actual human body that he is in. Not some other body that isn't him. But it's a moot point since no drawing of a human body will ever count.

Apparently youre the Tumblr Bill Cipher expert so I hafta know -- does Bill talk in all caps? Cause I feel like he does. Yesterday I was pretending to be Bill Cipher on Discord and I was typing in capslock. It juse makes sense. Do you agree

You could parse that as "when he types, he uses all caps; when he hand writes, he uses standard capitalization with occasional caps for emphasis," or as "he switches between all caps and standard capitalization depending on how he feels." You could also go with the Doylist explanation "On the AMA Alex could do whatever he wanted because he was goofing around, but in the books for a wide mainstream audience they had to stick to standard capitalization to make it easier for their audience to read."

I personally go with "he does what he feels like and it varies; but usually he types in caps and hand writes in lower case."

Now, all that's assuming that the text is being typed from Bill's perspective—like in the Reddit AMA. If we're talking about writing Bill's dialogue in a prose story (or fanfic, or paragraph-style roleplay), I think the default should be typing using standard capitalization rather than all caps, to make it easier to read. It doesn't need to be in all caps for us to remember that Bill's loud, you can just put "... Bill said, loudly" after his dialogue.

I had a writing professor once who said we should be able to tell a character's tone from their word choice and from descriptions of how they're speaking; we shouldn't be required to pick up their tone from capitalization/punctuation. Aside from occasionally using caps or italics for emphasis, I try to follow that policy.

But for fucking around on discord? Do whatever you vibe with in your heart.
