Es difícil explicar lo que cada mente sería capaz de hacer por mantener un amor.

Se trata de tomar riesgos por alcanzar lo inalcanzable, por acabar la distancia acompañada de indiferencia que hay entre dos almas, dónde una se ata con fuerza a aquello que no es, ni será.

Se trata de dar a montones sin esperar, esperando lo inesperado. De brindar aquello que no conocemos de nosotros hacia otro.

Se trata de confiar y perseverar a costa de las minucias de otro, aunque la vida nos grite una y otra vez "¡No!".

Se trata del uno tan alejado del dos, cuando este último busca su par y se halla constantemente como un número negativo.

¿Hasta donde somos capaces de llegar por amor?

¿En serio?. Esto es algo simple. Esto, solo se trata de explotar magia y derrochar emociones.

Ser amigo de la esperanza, vecino de la realidad y compañero intimo de la ilusión, arraigado a lo que no es, ni será.

Tan simple como cruzar límites dónde quedamos debajo en nuestra escala de prioridades.

[...] Or the guerrilla detachment which captured six German planes, destroyed five of them, and sent the sixth to the Red Army, piloted by an amateur air enthusiast, who was a tractor driver in ordinary life. Lt. Talalikhin’s initiative is already a Soviet aviator’s tradition. Exhausting his ammunition in a fight with three enemy planes, he rammed the tail of one enemy with his propeller, smashed the tail of another enemy plane with his wing tip, and then bailed out of his own plane safely. Moscow parks displayed the wreckage of the German planes, and other Soviet pilots quickly copied the tactics. An aviation technician, Konikov, won renown by attaching the fuselage of a plane he was repairing to the front platform of a military train whose locomotive had been bombed by the enemy; he thus pulled the most necessary parts of the train to safety.

The Soviet people glimpsed and felt victory. For the first time they began to feel that they were no longer “backward Russians.” They were beginning to challenge the world. With this went a proud sense of their unity as a nation. Cotton growers in Turkestan exulted, “We have conquered the Arctic,” though they themselves would never see the snow. Bearded peasants, who had never sat in an airplane, began to talk about “our conquest of the air.” Young Nina Kameneva expressed the mood of the country’s young people when she broke a world’s altitude record in parachute jumping and remarked on landing: “The sky of our country is the highest sky in the world.”

Parachute jumping has become a national sport in the Soviet Union. Soviet people are probably the most air-minded people in the world. Training for air-mindedness begins in the kindergarten. Small tots play the “butterfly game” and jump around with large butterflies pinned on their hair, gaining the idea that flying is fun and a natural activity. Children in their teens make jumps from “parachute towers” which are far rougher and more realistic than the parachute tower in the New York World’s Fair, which was copied from them. The sport is popular not only in the cities but on the farms. Several years ago a Ukrainian farmer told me of his trip to the nearby city with a group of farm children, all of whom immediately formed in line in the recreation park to go up in a tall tower and jump off under a parachute. “I thought it very terrifying,” he said, “and wondered why the park authorities allowed it. Then I saw that my own thirteen-year-old daughter was at the head of the line. These children of today aren’t afraid of anything.” At an older age, Soviet young people jump from airplanes, learn to operate gliders, or even become amateur pilots in their spare time. Every large factory, government department, and many of the larger collective farms have “aviation clubs,” which are given free instruction by the government. Probably a million people in the Soviet Union have made actual jumps from parachutes. It is not surprising that the Red Army was the first to use parachute troops in active service several years before the Germans adopted them. In 1931 a small detachment of parachutists surrounded and cleaned up a bandit gang in Central Asia. The making of airplane models by young people is taken seriously in the U.S.S.R. In 1937 over a million school children were spending after-school hours in aviation model stations. At a later stage, young people of talent create real airplanes and demonstrate them at Tushino aviation exhibitions. Owing to the wide interest in aviation and the public ownership of factories, a bright Soviet youth who invents a new type of airplane may get it constructed by his factory sports club and show it off. At one of the aviation festivals I attended, I saw a score of different amateur planes, including every possible shape of flying object – short, stubby ones, long thin ones, others shaped like different kinds of insects. They added greatly to the gaiety of the occasion. Whether or not they produced any really valuable new invention, they at least encouraged the inventiveness of their makers.

[...] Only a month before the Germans attacked the Soviet borders, 7,000 Moscow citizens practiced a special drill in repulsing parachute troops over the week end. Delimitation discussions appear stuck at present over Azerbaijan’s demand that it gain control of eight villages in border areas currently under Armenian jurisdiction. Pashinyan in comments to journalists signaled a willingness to unilaterally hand over four of the disputed villages. In doing so, he also suggested a practical way of settling the boundary between the two states. His initiative appears intended to deprive Azerbaijan of a pretext to launch new military action to seize territory, including any assault that could cut Armenia’s direct access to Iran.

“The de jure border that existed at the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union was reaffirmed by the [1991] Alma-Ata declaration and not only by that declaration, but also by the agreements held in Prague on October 6, 2022,” Pashinyan said at a March 12 news conference.

Four of the disputed villages – Baghanis Ayrim, Lower Askipara, Kheyrimli, and Gizilhajili – were on the Azerbaijani side of the border between the two former Soviet republics and were occupied by Armenian forces in the 1990s, during the first Karabakh war, which concluded in 1994 after the signing of the Alma-Ata declaration.

Citing the Alma-Ata and Prague agreements, Pashinyan acknowledged that “the former administrative border, which existed during the Soviet Union, is somewhat beyond that present administrative border.” He went on to call for both states to reaffirm the frontier defined by the Alma-Ata agreement. Earlier in 2024, Armeniamaintained that Azerbaijan currently controls 31 villages situated in roughly 200 square kilometers of land that are rightfully Armenian. There had been some talk in Yerevan of proposing a trade involving all the disputed settlements. But Pashinyan in his most recent comments made no mention of such a swap.[...]

Prior to Pashinyan’s March gambit, Azerbaijan had staked out an intransigent position about the return of the eight villages. “As for the four non-exclave Azerbaijani villages occupied by Armenia, their affiliation to Azerbaijan is beyond any doubt and they are subject to immediate liberation,” Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev said in the statement issued March 9, two days after the latest round of border delimitation talks. Mustafayev leads the Azerbaijani negotiating team.

“The issue of liberation of four of Azerbaijan’s exclave villages occupied by Armenia will also be resolved within the delimitation process,” he noted.[...]

The villages that Pashinyan seems willing to unilaterally hand back are important to Armenia from an infrastructure point of view. A highway to Georgia, as well as a pipeline carrying Russian gas to Armenia, pass through these villages. Pashinyan also addressed the issue in press comments, saying that he has instructed relevant state bodies to “reroute those lines so that they pass through Armenia’s de jure territory and so that we don’t have problems in that area.”

The prime minister’s remarks triggered an immediate outcry from long-standing government critics, who accuse Pashinyan of treachery and a failure to defend state interests.

“By unilaterally giving in, not only do you not create a guarantee that Azerbaijan will not attack, but on the contrary, you give them better conditions to attack you from those positions,” Anna Grigorian of the Hayastan alliance said in comments broadcast by RFE/RL’s Armenian Service.

La primera vez que ví sus ojos. No me refiero a sus ojos o su color, si no a su manera de mirar, se tatuó en cada espacio de mi aire, en el silencio y murmullo de mi boca. Con ansias aguardaba y aún lo hago cada una de sus letras. Le soñe un día de agosto de hace dos años. Latente en mi las palabras de su mirar, el calor de sus dedos bajando desde mi cuello a mi cintura, el aroma de su risa, la tibieza de su alma. Cierro los ojos y navegó entre sus manos y mirar, entre sus huellas como el sol derrite la nieve, la vuelve tierra y agua en las rosas. Me inquieto con esos nervios bonitos como el que llevo del roce de su boca y la mía. Es que lo quiero todo junto a su latir; tardes de risas, miradas confidentes, ver sus ojitos y fundirme en ellos, besar cada espacio de su piel y alma, recorrer sus placeres y jadeas con ternura, ser hogar y compañía. Dejo caer la tela de las estrellas. Me sumerjo entre el agua, el cantar de los grillos, el silencio de la noche. Estoy a la orilla de un lago cerca de la mirada de la luna, pienso en que le gustaría como se ven las estrellas, tanto que lo haría sonreír, o el agua tibia que corre sin prisa, la tierra blanda, el verde claro a la luz de la luna. Cierro mis ojos, su aroma se ata mi lengua, a mis anhelos y suspiros, a mi ternura y latir. Cierro los ojos y sueño con rubor de tomar su nombre como el agua se funde en la orilla del musgo. Sus brazos me toman a su pecho, su aliento me da vida, el latir marítimo de sus ansias susurran a mi oído, su cadera junto a la mía, sus piernas como un nido en las mías, muerde mis sielncios y palabras. Jadeo y respiro su aire. Todo lo que siento por él se traduce en sus labios cuando sonríe.
