FragCore Mitch has a companion pet named Widget!
Slightly old art but here she is:
Since FragCore Mitch is blind on his left side, he has Widget to watch his blindspot! :D
Shortly after the injury, Zahra and Haneesh joined glitch techs and were assigned to Mitch so he'd have backup. He naturally wasn't too pleased about it so he kept pushing to be allowed to take solo missions again. Eventually Phil caved and let him do so, under the condition that he get a companion pet to assist him in the field.
Widget was chosen for Mitch because of her docile nature! She's a passive mob and isn't built for fighting so she can't really deal much damage. She is, however, used for recon and helps Mitch by keeping an eye on his left side!
#Fragmented Core#FragCore Mitch#FragCore Widget#<- Widget's tag!#glitch techs OC#kinda#glitch techs#am I allowed to tag this as Mitch Williams?#Widget is friends with Ally btw!! Bird buddies!!#she also doubles as a therapy animal but Mitch doesn't talk about that#emotional support bird <3

Like imagine they let you win games after you asked them for tips (like playing Super Smash Bros.) ?? aaa i just keep thinking of Miko and Five hcs like imagine too they let Ally play w/u while they're on a mission or something hjsjkjsksjskllk
@lonleydweller
I can do Glitch Techs, I just need requests!
"Hey Bestie! Guess who just got a copy of an indie game just for you?" She says, eagerly hugging you when she sees you. "It's Super Smash Bros! It's from this indie game design called Nintendo, but I remember that you got frustrated since me and Five have so much experience playing other games, so we should play a new game for all three of us!" She says, jumping up and down on her toes and explaining fast.
Five stands there, waiting for her to slow down. "Yeah, we realized we kind of... ruined the experience of playing a fighting game, so we got a new one." He smiles though, and sets up the game, watching you and Miko in the reflection of the gaming set up.
It took forever, well, actually two weeks and a lot of money lost, but the smile on your face made it worth it.
It's so boring having to stay back while they deal with a boss monster, but at least Ally is with you! She nuzzles your head and lets out a weird form of a purr when you pet her.
"At least you understand it, Ally." She cocks her head and bawks.
"Never mind.

Ok we know primal's opinion in Green becoming cronically online but what IS her opinion in BLUE being a nether wart addict and an alchemist
I've actually talked about this before with my buddy on Discord, so I'll just elaborate on some of those, Primal's opinion on alchemy, Blue's role in the group, and some of the headcanons I have for her values.
While Blue is more of a pacifist and only fights when he has to, he's still the medic of the group through his alchemy. Medicine was something he was far more interested in than fighting, unlike his twin, Green, and Primal respected both of their wishes when they were little. She taught him how to heal cuts and bruises, what plants and herbs work best for certain types of injuries, and how to make medicine. I headcanon that Primal believes that being strong is important, especially in her way of life, but so is being smart, and she values a person's role and function to a group rather than whoever is the "strongest" as an individual. While Blue doesn't like fighting (unless he had to), he could still be helpful by providing help through his growing knowledge in medicine and healing their family, having the role of a doctor. Primal saw his little spark of interest and tried to nurture that as he grew up until Blue and Green went missing. So she sees the value of Blue's healing potions from his alchemy.
That being said, it would also depend on how Primal would see buffs and debuffs when it comes to Minecraft's alchemy and potion system. So I decided to form my thoughts out on this by comparing Blue's alchemy to The Box scene in AVA S3 since both have similar uses, just with different methods (Blue's potions offer buffs for allies and debuffs for enemies, which can be carried around, while The Box can be used to enhance victim's abilities while downgrading and taking away Chosen's powers amongst other things in an enclosed area). My friend and I talked about how the Mercs may feel about The Box scene from what we could tell from their body language on Discord, and I personally headcanon that Primal wouldn't really be in favor for it. She considers victim using The Box to boost her abilities and take away Chosen's powers to be cheap as she's all about the hunt and reaping the rewards after a long and hard fought battle. However, it doesn't mean she looks down on trickster tactics either since she knows that just strength alone won't allow you to catch your prey, you need to be smart about it as well. If creating traps and doing "dirty" tricks is more efficient in capturing, stopping, or even killing your prey, then by all means go for it. She'd do it herself in a heartbeat, too. It's why she wasn't against using the glitch bullets from the hoverbikes or the taser guns that the rest of the Mercs used even though she never used one herself. Primal understood that Chosen would be near impossible to capture without them due to his powers and it's her job to take him in, as that's what RocketCorp (a.k.a. victim) ordered her to do. So she'll do what's necessary for the job, for the group, but prefers her own weapons if she feels like she could accomplish a task without RocketCorp's tech. And initially, she chose to remain silent about her displeasure on victim's use of The Box since she can tell that Chosen is a fighter despite all of his running and avoiding direct fights with the Mercs, and would decimate anyone that would get close without the proper restrictions. victim couldn't get her answers without them and she can't exactly judge her for that. Even when she finds it unpleasant to watch victim purposely and slowly strip Chosen's of his abilities and even used them against him multiple times with Agent's help in a situation where he had no way of escaping in the first place (probably), she accepted that it was necessary.
And then victim takes out the memory device and slaps it onto Chosen's face, and Primal's feelings go from "this is disturbing but necessary, so I'll just take the time to sharpen my weapon in case anything goes wrong" to "oh you just wanted to do this, not because you needed to do this." Because the minute that device is used, Primal would see how unnecessary it was for victim to torture Chosen in that way since she could've just debuff their powers, tie them down to the chair, and then slap the device on almost no problem to find the information she seeks. Chosen was already captured prey. victim probably didn't need to go as far as she did, not with the memory device she has on hand. So Primal would find it distasteful after all of that. Not to mention how it would most likely backfire on them later since beating someone down doesn't necessarily mean they would just give in. If anything, it may do the opposite and give Chosen the incentive to fight back even harder the next time they get a chance. "If you beat a dog into a corner, don't expect it won't bite back" kinda thing.
Unlike her feelings towards The Box, though, I think she'd be far more accepting of Blue as an alchemist due to it's usefulness as a role. As mentioned earlier, she'd respect Blue as the medic of the group since that in itself is an important role to take. A group can't function well if none of them know how to heal themselves up properly and can end up succumbing to simpler injuries and sickness as a result. So Blue's role as the medic would allow his friends to recover and keep doing what they need (or want) to do. As for the other alchemy potions, while she'd probably find it cheap, she can't deny that these offer their own benefits when it comes to a fight or hunting down prey even. Hell, if the kids end up in a situation in over their heads and have to fight for their lives, Blue can easily sway the battle into their favor with his buffs and debuffs and Primal isn't going to scoff at something that can protect her children's lives and boost their chances of survival. So she'd ultimately respect Blue as the medic, and would file his "ability to think outside of the box with his potions" under trickster tactics that she accepts as a suitable form of fighting.
As for Blue's netherwart addiction, Primal...probably doesn't understand their need for it. Mostly because netherwarts don't offer any benefits, not even to appease hunger, and they would need to brew it into their potions in order to create the base of buffs and stuff, not, like, eat them. And when Blue tells her about the events of AVM S3 and how their addiction was used against them TWICE to lure them into a false sense of security and essentially get them out of the way, Primal would probably start intervening at that point since it becomes obvious it's a weakness that has been exploited more than once. But she's probably not very successful at first since she wouldn't have the knowledge on how to deal with addictions and tries to get him to stop altogether before learning that being forceful about it isn't going to help Blue and would need a softer, understanding approach to the whole ordeal and the underlying reason why they're addicted to netherwarts beyond just "they think it tastes good." (It probably doesn't help that Green and the rest of the CG kinda just...accepted that Blue is addicted to the stuff and end up enabling them by just doing nothing about it. Hell, they cheered when Fake Blue proclaims that they found their netherwarts when they first "reunite" back when the Witch was introduced. I know it's just a running gag in the show itself and is part of Blue's character, but it's a little...concerning...that his friends (and his twin brother, in my headcanons) aren't trying to help them get off of this stuff.)
Primal is trying her best to help Blue through his addiction, but she also...just doesn't know how. So she'd probably have to ask someone else for help, like Hazard or even Ballista.
#Asks#Star Talks#AVA#AVA Primal#AVA Blue#Mama Primal AU#Animator VS Animation#Primal#Blue#AVM Blue#AVM#Animation VS Minecraft#watch as the “Primal's feelings on The Box scene” headcanon gets outdated as soon as the next episode for AVA comes out lol#it's okay this is filed under an AU for a reason sdjkyndrkjnd#also I didn't have anywhere else to put this but Primal values the safety of young children as they are the future generation and thus it's#-the older generations responsibilities to nurture and guide them to roles that would benefit them and the group they associate with#Primal is pretty gentle around children if a bit stoic and not very approachable due to her intimidating nature#and was careful in her training with Blue and Green as she considers learning how to defend yourself very essential. especially in the wild#...in other words she'd beat the shit out of Navy if she ever finds out what they did to Purple and crosses paths with them

Judy: Symphony of the Synthetic World by Jade Gretz
Rain lashed against the corrugated roof of Judy Alvarez's braindance studio, a rhythmic counterpoint to the pounding in her chest. The flickering neon sign outside, advertising "Judy's Relicts: Memories Made Real," seemed a cruel joke in light of the horrors she'd witnessed.
It started with a routine job – a shard containing a braindance of a botched NCPD raid gone wrong. The glitches in the shard were unusual, garbled chunks of memory replaced by static. But it was the emotional imprint that sent chills down Judy's spine – a creeping dread, a sense of something monstrous witnessed.
Days of painstaking analysis followed. Judy, a virtuoso of the braindance editor's craft, had seen her fair share of Night City's depravity, but this recording was different. There was a darkness in the static, a malevolent entity that seemed to writhe in the corrupted data.
Finally, she cracked the code. The glitches weren't malfunctions; they were deliberate edits, hiding a sinister truth. The braindance showed officers firing indiscriminately into a dark warehouse, their faces contorted in a mixture of fear and manic glee. But something else moved in the shadows – a hulking monstrosity, vaguely humanoid, its form obscured by the static.
The officers weren't just firing; they were feeding it.
Judy knew she couldn't ignore this. This wasn't a random act of violence; it reeked of a twisted conspiracy. But who could she trust? The NCPD was riddled with corruption, and this felt like something far deeper.
She decided to take a gamble. Lizzie Wizzy, a notorious fixer with a penchant for the bizarre, seemed an unlikely ally. But Judy knew Lizzie had her ear to the ground, tentacles reaching into every corner of Night City's underbelly.
Lizzie's warehouse, nestled in a forgotten corner of Watson, was a labyrinth of scavenged tech and flickering neon. The air crackled with a nervous energy, punctuated by the rhythmic clinking of glasses. Judy found Lizzie amidst the smoke and chrome, a predatory gleam in her crimson eyes.
The braindance shard sparked Lizzie's …(see the rest of the story at deviantart.com/jadegretzAI). For more supergirl, chun li, batgirl, tifa, lara croft, wonder woman, rogue and much more, please visit my page at www.deviantart.com/jadegretzai - Thanks for your support :)

do you have a link to your post about the hypnoshades and low tide ink? i'm curious about your take since theres a shit ton of ways people go about it (low tide just being a mistranslation, or actually existing, callie's 'brainwashing' being more equivalent to definition hypnosis or mind control distinctly and how that affects the narrative, or even something else entirely)
i sure do! it's right here, hidden down in the rb.
for those who came in late, tl;dr:
i filled in what low tide ink is via an intersection between several headcanons involving creative interpretations of canon information (like marie's japanese name being hotaru implying a connection to firefly squid, as well as her being on the ‘focus on healing’ team and a few other sources) to say that firefly squids (of whom i imagine marie to be one) have a special second kind of ink they make separately from normal ink. this special sauce is called Glowing Ink, and other than glowing, it does zero damage to enemies but heals allies (focus on healing and all that), and has some medicinal properties that aren't fully understood.
another such Weird and Special Effect is based on the well-established gimmick of octarian tech starting to go on the fritz after being repeatedly covered in enemy ink. the hypnoshades are themselves octarian tech, and low tide ink is technically enemy ink, so it stands to reason that the hypnoshades would start to freak out after being shot multiple times with the stuff, ESPECIALLY considering its unusual properties compared to normal ink.
when normal and glowing ink are mixed just right, low tide ink is created, where the healing and harming properties of the two different kinds of ink balance out, making it damageless, but also causing it to have some Weird and Special Effects (such as breaking callie out of a hypnotized state lol)
and with how much of a mainstay AI is becoming in the franchise (tartar, orca, smollusk)… well, it seems only fitting that the hypnoshades' "glitch" would be to go self-aware and diverge from its programming.
hypnos isn't octavio's puppet anymore. or… well, ‘octavio’. i'll get to that in the next part of seri's splatoon, coming soon-ish.
anyway, lame self-promo aside, hope this answers your question! (and maybe also expands on the post a little bit, since i didn't go into super great detail in the OP)

Gray Lore Dump!
Art by @tinymintywolf and @lousysharkbutt !
Lore below >:)
Name: Gray Njord Legrand
Birthday: August 15 1916
Age: Biologically 24 years old.
Faction: Hydra
Current Occupation: Assassin
Likes: Iris, McDonald’s, Cats, Ava (his handler), Bucky Barnes
Dislikes: Remembering literally anything about his childhood, Hydra, his job, the Winter Soldier
Powers: Teleportation to anywhere he can visualise, (which he calls “glitching”) long lifespan, better endurance.
Languages: English, German, a bit of Russian.
Allies: Holly (sister) Iris (gf) Izzy(foster bro) Ava (handler)
Belief: He has a strong loyalty to his handlers in Hydra, but hates the group as a whole. He believes the strong rule the world and considers himself a weak person.
Achilles Heel: He follows orders to a tee, having lost hope a long time ago. Only after he meets Iris does he begin to question his place in the world. He also will bury any emotion that scares him or makes him uncomfortable, which sometimes frustrates the people around him.
Timeline:
Gray is a quiet, angry, and deeply sad individual. He was a bright, happy child before the accident that killed his family (excepting Holly), but being the lone survivor drove him to bitterness. After escaping the car wreck before the FBI arrives, he heads to an orphanage, winding up in a permanent home at around 15 (biologically and physically). He is happy, for a bit.
Around this time, he finally finds out about his powers. This happens when, during a heated argument with his foster dad, he feels threatened by how angry his dad is getting, and straight up disappears.
This of course, is his teleportation powers manifesting through the ways it usually does with mutants: trauma.
Unfortunately for him, he ends up in Russia. Specifically, the place where Bucky is currently being held by the Soviet Union.
After the initial shock of finding someone in a very high-security area, agents take him away and question him. They find out about his powers and quickly place him in a secret project involving a few half-blooded children of Asgardians. This project is nicknamed aptly Project: Demigod. Gray lives through a few years of nonstop lab experiments, before the project is closed and he is moved to the winter soldier program. He is the only survivor of Demigod.
He is trained as an assassin, and after a few false starts they figure out how to keep him from teleporting away: a slow-acting poison injected into him that only they contain the antidote to. It forces him to stay close in order to receive the antidote before he dies. After he receives the antidote he gets another shot of the poison, and the cycle continues.
Gray spends the next few decades becoming better and better at his craft. After his intitial training, he ends up following the Winter Soldier to Hydra, and works for them for a few decades. No one ever bothers to stick him in cryo, as he never ages.
He is sent after many minor political officials, and occasionally serves as a carrier pigeon for intel.
In 2004 he loses his left leg. (I forget to draw his prosthetic all the time. I suck lol). Hydra deems him too unimportant to get an actual high-tech prosthetic, and instead give him one that sort of sucks.
He goes to stay for a few weeks in a Hydra safe house, during which he meets Izzy and his foster dad. He forms a close bond with them both. After the Incident (see Izzy), he returns to his job.
His routine remains the same, until in 2011, when he meets Iris during a mission to exchange height-security information. She convinces him to go a bar, which helps spark the first bit of spontaneity and agency he’s had in a long while.

GlitchVerse - SuperHero OC Masterlist
Note! Please be advised that this masterlist has a lot of flashing gifs in it.
The Glitch is a stranger phenomenon throughout the multiverse where seemingly random individuals develop teleporting powers during a moment of stress or panic.
At first, it was believed to be random, but later discoveries made it clear it always happened to four certain people in each universe.
Andrea Benito (Known as The Spectacular Glitch)

Friends / Allies: Mishap Squad (93), Amazing Spiderman, Venom, Birds of Prey

Face Claim: Alycia Pascual-Pena
Andrea Benito was born in the late 90s. She grew up in the Bronx and attended Midtown High School where she became friends with Casey Tshui.
Andrea developed her Glitch powers while The Lizard was terrorizing New York. She kept developing her powers well into adulthood, and it's possible she became powerful enough to travel through the multiverse at will.

Friends / Allies: Mishap Squad (712), Peter Park (712), Spiderman, SpiderGwen, Spider Society (formerly)

She developed her powers while trying to escape a crumbling building and, in the process, discovered a secret city under New York inhabited by mutants.
Keena Noble (Known as Titan Glitch)
Origin: Earth-138
Occupation: Cashier, Sound Tech, Bass Player / Singer
Powers / Skills: Teleportation, Illusions
Friends / Allies: Mishap Squad (138) SpiderPunk, Teen Titans
Enemies: Her Father
Face Claim: Ruth Negga
Keena grew up in Western Ireland but later ran away from home and start travelling around the world for different types of work (mainly to England and later America for schooling).
She developed her Glitch powers when trying to save someone from a collapsing sound stage in New York. She eventually made this a part of her on-stage character and became relatively famous for her solo bass performances.

Occupation: Unknown
Powers / Skills: Teleportation
Friends / Allies: New Mishap Squad, Scream 99

I agree we know little to nothing about Chica at least with the others we gets hints and such. The reason I asked because I wasn’t sure how you felt about Freddy and such. But I think you got a pretty good grasp of his character. Yes Roxy does need therapy.
That’s what makes writing Chica’s character difficult, there’s none of her personality displayed during the game. Even when she’s glitching after losing Gregory, which I can assume is her attempts at gaining some form of control and failing. Aside from this, there’s no real dialogue from her with ANYONE in the game, besides her glitched self’s dialogue.
Then there’s the Daycare Attendant, what a missed opportunity there to gain a new ally. If only to help distract the others as Gregory and Freddy find an exit. I feel that Moon with his own body would’ve made for an interesting chase in the game since it provides a new foe to evade. I have a good understanding of the two based on what was shown in the game, personality-wise.
I believe the Glamrocks needed individual therapy bots for their issues:
Freddy is the best example of this. He mourns the loss of his best friend and hasn’t had anyone to talk with regarding his grief. Now being faced with a lack of control on the situation Gregory and him were facing, confusion at his friends’ new behavior, and Vanny masquerading as Vanessa leaving no reliable aid for him.
Roxy’s issues are so deep-seated that they may have been programmed into her after her upgrades were installed. At the same time I suspect Vanny or Glitchtrap responsible for the extreme behavior change she had.
Monty’s issues are anger, loss of control, and forced to commit murder on Bonnie for Burntrap requiring parts. Monty struck me as the kind of person to bottle everything till it spills over, given how often he’s destroying everything, I think he snapped before the hacking occurred, and the techs never properly learned how to help him.
Chica’s obsession with eating is probably an echo of people stress-eating or eating in general to hide their feelings from others. It’s an unhealthy coping mechanism, but makes her more human despite her reduced mental faculties. Unfortunately I think Glitchtrap’s control snapped on her when she was broken by the trash compactor, so she had to drag herself through the dark without any way to call for help, inducing terrible trauma from the damage as a result.
I suspected Bonnie prevented Vanny from harming a child, was immune to Glitchtrap’s hacking attempts, or both. This is pure guess work, but could’ve been reason enough to need him removed permanently.

2022 My Year In Fic
2022 Fiction Word Count:
478128 / 177267 words. 270% done!
Insights To Not Forget: Narrowing my focus to one WIP per month the whole month before going to another WIP gave me results I am proud of. Proud enough to use this prioritizing against in 2023. Look, I finally managed to cross-post old stories at Ao3, which I have been planning on doing for years, but this is the first year I have managed any headway on doing it.
Stories I Posted at Ao3 Finally:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Bloodlines: The Turtles are used to being blamed for the crimes they stop in the Big Apple. But they aren't murderers--despite what Chief Sterns says. And the quest to clear their names is complicated by the arrival of the victim's younger siblings needing protection from the Shredder. Takes place about ten months after the present day parts of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ronin: Three years after Bloodlines, Allie's beginning college coincides with the appearance of a new vigilante on the streets. The Turtles name her the Ronin, but is she really master-less or is her hatred for the Shredder an Oscar-winning performance?
Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Family, Friends, and Foes: Val Tech discovers the Turtles and now they're on the run. But things really explode once they reach Chicago. A crossover with Biker Mice From Mars. This story takes place in 1995, one week after Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Reunions and three months after Oroku Nagi's death in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ronin.
Tin Man: Dragons and Ninjas: Five months after the Eclipse, Longcoat attacks and dragon sightings terrorize the population, so DG and her companions set out to save the O.Z. again and cross paths with a Slipper on a mission of his own.
Tin Man: Where Did That Come From: How did Glitch and Cain get to the Sorceress' Tower so quickly?
Tin Man: Don't Know What the Other Hands Are Doing: What happened to Airofday when the Longcoats dragged her away?
Tin Man: Victory Ball: None of this was worth a lousy medal.
A Mist of Prophecies: A Storm of Things Forseen: Queen Titania has a mission for Cassandra that can bring the halfling gargoyle to a clan that will accept what she is. But can Cassandra trust the Queen that destroyed everything she knew?
A Mist of Prophecies: Shivers the Heart to Hear: Every sorcerer's apprentice has to learn not to mix magics. Now is Angela's turn.
A Mist of Prophecies: The Party: A Gargoyles: TimeDancer Fanfic. Brooklyn and Sata find themselves in the future, just in time for the MidSummer's Eve party given by some members of the Manhattan Clan. Members they have never met before. Well, all except one.
A Mist of Prophecies: Regrets: What compelled the trickster Puck to create the role of Owen Burnett? Second place winner in the 2001 Gathering's Writing Contest, Category: Pucking Around.
Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Shatter Your Illusions: Limburger is scheming, the Biker Mice are thwarting, and a new player is riding into Chicago--on a Martian bike. What do you believe and who can you trust? This story takes place in 1995, a few months after "Once Upon a Time on Mars." It is the first story in Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare series.
Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Put Me Back Together: Now that Throttle has lost Carbine, he feels that he has nothing left. Can Charley help him realize who still cares for him? Or will Limburger's goons confirm Throttle's worst fear? This story takes place in 1995, three weeks after Shatter Your Illusions.
Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Reunions: Limburger's latest attempt to kill the Biker Mice results in transporting the bros and Charley to the Olympian Fury, a refugee ship reported destroyed during the Martian-Plutarkian War. But this new hope for the future is dashed by a threat worse than the Plutarkians. This story takes place in 1995, one week after Put Me Back Together.
Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Let Us Give Thanks: Sparks wanting to celebrate Thanksgiving sets off a mystery from Charley's past. Can the Biker Mice find the answers? Fifth in the Wars Are Won by Those Who Dare series. This story takes place in November 1995, five months after Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Family, Friends, and Foes.
Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Turbo: Turbo arrives in Chicago, and secrets Throttle has kept buried for most of his life now threaten Charley. Sixth in the Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare series. This story takes place in May 1996, six months after Let Us Give Thanks.
Evil Jack: Domestic Bliss: Charley is married to Jack, and they have a four-year-old daughter. But why can't Charley remember anything from the past four years? And why do three bikers keep following her? First in the Evil Jack series. This story is set in 1996.
Evil Jack: In Sickness: Hannah is in the hospital with an unknown disease. How can Throttle save her from that? Sequel to Evil Jack: Domestic Bliss. This story is set in 1997.
Evil Jack: For Worse: Jack returns to Chicago determined to use Charley and Throttle's drunken mistake to destroy the Biker Mice. Third in the Evil Jack series. This story is set in 1997.
Tin Man: Not His Kink: Zero knew her weakness. And he would make her help torture Cain. She wouldn't let herself cry. She had to get Cain out of this. This wasn't his kink.
Stories I Posted:
Nothing new this year. Oops.
Stories I Finished:
Star Wars: Rescue the Farmboy: Mission on Mimban: Word count = 61,382 (8093 written in 2019 + 14,789 written in 2020 + 22,252 written in 2021 + 16,248). So it took many more months than I initally planned on, but the first draft was finished on November 19, 2022.
Trigun 3 Outline Word Count = 157,526 (83,769 written in 2021 + 73,757). This is the longest and most detailed outline I have ever created and I finally finished it on October 24, 2022. It is practically a first draft of the future novel, and has the heft of words to be a novel. I don't think I will copy this method in future outlines. I'd rather have the words in something closer to publication. But it might happen again.
Stories I Didn't Finish:
Strix: Forget the Sun: Word count = 51,890 (26,588 written previously + 4279 written in 2019 + 279 written in 2020 + 15,328 written in 2021 + 5416). I had a breakthrough on why this novel is so hard to write: all my characters are separate and doing things by themselves. I had set aside April, June, and November to work only on this novel and could barely work on it in June and November. I'm only planning to give it one month in 2023. And I hope I get more of the characters together so it's not as hard to write.
Trigun: Three of a Kind: Word count = 20,838. I started the novel from Trigun 3 Outline after I finished Mission on Mimban's first draft. While December 2022 was set aside to work on Zackverse projects and I forgot to continue uploading my older works to Ao3, I discovered its website is not playing nicely with IT settings at my paying job which makes it so hard to edit saved drafts. I needed something else to do and this is the story not leaving me alone.
What I Think About My Stories:
My favorite story this year: Judging from how easy the words are coming, Trigun: Three of a Kind.
Story most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Strix: Forget the Sun.
Most fun story: Trigun: Three of a Kind.
Stories I wrote that I never thought I'd write: Trigun: Three of a Kind.
Hardest story to write: Strix: Forget the Sun. Every word is precious but I really shot myself in the foot separating all the characters like I have. That was real plotting fail.
Biggest disappointment: That it took three months to finish Star Wars: Mission on Mimban's first draft. I thought I'd get more Star Wars projects done this year but not with how long I took on this one story.
Biggest surprise: How well the monthly focus kept me on track with everything.
What's your favorite piece of dialogue you wrote this year? From Trigun: Three of a Kind
And just when he thought he had failed protecting the sandsteamer, failed saving the insurance girls from the hostage situation the other passengers and crew were in, up they popped to stop Brilliant Dynamite Neon from shooting him. Introducing herself with that insurance society’s name and giving herself an outlaw moniker. And she had surprised him again by getting under his duster after the duel while he was distracted trying to encourage Kaite to do the right thing over his transmitters. Vash had reared back and smashed his head against a wall. “I do not paw you!” “Permission granted to paw if I’m bleeding out!” Meryl yelled back.
What's your favorite piece of description or narration you wrote this year? From Rescue the Farmboy: Mission on Mimban:
Obi-Wan peeled the one on her stomach free. Charred flesh pulled off the unconscious young woman with it causing the slash to ooze blood. The separation of her tissue didn’t go deep but it looked excruciating. Obi-Wan frowned. Both Luke and Mara were proficient enough with a lightsaber to avoid self-inflicted wounds like this. And Luke would not strike Mara.
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would, less, or about what you predicted? For starters, let's subtract the Library totals from my word count of the year. Library total = 346,120. 2022 total words = 478,128. So brand new words = 132,008. That is only 74% of my 2022 goal of 177,267, which is not a disappointment at all! But here's hoping I can get more words next year that equals finished project.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them? I don't know if the focus on one thing a month was a risk, but it did help. I got to projects that I have planned to do but never had reached time to work on them because everything else is more important. So eventually I will get backlog done! I think I managed more days of writing than previous years, but I will track this next year to find out.
Number of Days I Wrote or Edited: 311 days.
Number of Days Meeting or Exceeding the daily 600 word count: 113 days.
Did you meet last year's goals? Wow, I am so bad at guessing how much I can get done in any time frame. So very bad. The goals from my 2022 one-page business plan are: Spend one month on a writing project instead of doing the juggling thing. If I finish one early, then I'll figure out what to do next. These projects are going into the Weekly Planner that I look at every day so I don't forget as well as the one-page business plan.
January = Trigun 3 Outline. 29 days only working on Trigun 3 Outline, the beginning of the month was shared with writing 2021 My Year in Fic.
February = Star Wars: Mission on Mimban. 25 days only working on Mission on Mimban. Nothing else grabbed my attention that month.
March = BookWorm's Library Update. My mother had a heart attack and I had dental implant surgery, but I still managed to focus this month on a revamp of my website, which hadn't been updated since 2017. That's how many years updates had fallen off the To Do list. And yes, I had put it on there to do. I probably put it on the My Years in Fic for those years too.
April = Strix: Forget the Sun. 23 days working on this novel. I found a problem in the outlined plot and spent the first week fixing that. Then tried to split my attention between this novel and Trigun 3 Outline by the end of the month.
May = Zackverse Upload to Ao3. Started with the stories in the Zackverse that I have already written and then kept going to everything I have written. Got 11 stories uploaded. Also kept working on Trigun 3 Outline during this month.
June = Strix: Forget the Sun. Only 13 days of the month that I worked on this novel. 27 days were spent working on Trigun 3 Outline.
July = BookWorm's Library Update. This July was a mess. I did work on updates that I didn't get finished in March, but I was rear-ended commuting to work on the 7th, my three nine-week-old void babies made it to my house on the 23rd, then I tested positive for Covid on the 25th and promptly forgot to upload all the updates I had made on the Library files. I also worked on Trigun 3 Outline 27 days.
August = Star Wars. I thought I would be done with Mission on Mimban by this month when I set up this plan last year. I hadn't and then I only spent 16 days on it, compared to 19 days on Trigun 3 Outline.
September = Trigun. Oh look the month I was supposed to work on Trigun and no other projects stole my attention the entire month. 26 days of work on Trigun 3 Outline.
October = Star Wars. I was so close to reaching the end of Trigun 3 Outline I just kept working on it until it was done on the 24th. The last seven days of October were spent on just Mission on Mimban.
November = Strix: Forget the Sun. Since I was so close to the end of Mission on Mimban, I kept going until I finished it on the 19th. Then I picked up Strix: Forget the Sun and finally realized how hard it was writing the character's scene when he was all solo and how I had done that to all the characters in it. I finally reached the end of that scene and then had a plumbing crisis on the 28th - 29th. I started updating Ao3 on the 29th while waiting on plumbers and continued with that, as well as starting Trigun: Three of a Kind on the 30th.
December = Zackverse. I see now that I was supposed to start working on a Zackverse story, but I thought this was just more uploading instead since I still had old stories that need to go up. I could only upload and tweak the stories to Ao3 on the weekends when I was home, so I had to have something else to work on while at the paying job. I continued on with Trigun: Three of a Kind.
See how much I put under each of these categories? The goals from my 2021 one-page business plan are:

Update FF.net profile of where newer stories are now
My daily writing plans to help the above list of goals get done:
Write 600 daily words. Can be split among stories. = The yearly goal was 177,267 that I reached on March 16, 2022. The Library files are what got me there that quickly.
Write and edit every day. = 311 days out of 365. 85% of the year.
Work in meditation time with Brain FM. = I still need to do more with meditation and the focus music options. My word amounts do go up more when I do use focus.
Use my Kanban Flow checklist consistently. = Oh no, I forgot about the checklists again. I have to do some work that my checklists are too much for one person and find a realistic solution for this.
Don't let chores pile up. = Which is related to the checklist problem I need to solve.
Do you have any goals for the coming year? I'd like to finish up some of the listed drafts so the list looks much more managable after next year. Here's how I'm going to break down 2023:
January = Ao3 Upload / Trigun: Three of Kind since I can't do the uploads at the paying job I'm pretty sure I will have more left to finish
February = BookWorm's Library update
March = Star Wars projects
April = Zackverse projects
May = Biker Mice From Mars projects
June = Trigun: Three of a Kind
July = Ao3 Upload / Trigun: Three of a Kind
August = BookWorm Library's update
September = Star Wars projects
October = Biker Mice From Mars projects
November = Strix: Forget the Sun
December = Trigun: Three of a Kind
This list has more under each category than I will get to in a year, but I didn't want to take a chance of forgetting what to do next. (Where the hell does this fear come from?) The goals from my 2023 one-page business plan are:
Writing Strix series
November: Finish Strix: Forget the Sun's first draft
November: Edit Strix: Forget the Sun to second draft

Something to add. For the previous anon. Some people like about glitch is his abilities like assimilating alien DNA and fuse it with tech. Also Glitch Tennyson's personality is him being smart, mature, cautious (although he will gladly fight head on when needed or when someone messes with Ben), polite, sarcastic, mischievous(which shows that despite how smart he is and mature he is compared to his brother he still is a child.), kind, is hard to scare (contrary to belief he does have fear.) and hotheaded, ps this isn't Glitch's full personality, there is stuff I probably missed or can't remember. (in other words he his not exactly like Ben *neither original Ben or reboot Ben although original Ben and reboot Ben aren't to different* but isn't the opposite of them either and the same applies to the Gwens, the closest he is to in personality are reboot Ben and og Gwen and even then he is pretty different from them to the point that he is his own complete character personality wise. adding onto this although Glitch is shown to be good at hand to hand combat in his armor form it doesn't seem to be his preferred way of fighting as he seems to prefer tricks and aviations. is also interesting as it gives him a great connection with Ben yet prevents him from constantly helping be cause trouble.
Yeah, this. He is shown to be a very useful ally in battle and he is able to do tons of cool stuff.
