CATCHING MY BREATH, STARING OUT AN OPEN WINDOW

Mohan Kaur is based on the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. He is a 37 year old human, co-owner of Topsy Turvy, and uses he/him pronouns. He has no powers. Mohan is portrayed by Sacha Dhawan and he is open.

CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE

Mad. Deranged. Insane...Psychotic - all words that had been whispered then spoken then shouted at Mohan since he was a child. At first, it had confused him, why would they say such things when he was only trying to make them smile? But as Mohan grew up, tossed between his relatives homes when the last one couldn’t handle him anymore, he came to realize that he was simply misunderstood. They couldn’t wrap their minds around him because they weren’t supposed to. He was different. His mind worked in ways no one could follow and when he started a spiral of misbehavior, sometimes verging on dangerous, it came as no surprise when he was finally thrown out and left to his own devices. For better or worse.

It was worse. Without someone telling him the difference between right and wrong, the line blurred and Mohan lived happily in the gray. Hedonistic and wild, the man created a world for himself that led him to Evermore, a new place he could corrupt with his brand of madness. Unpredictability was the foundation he built his life upon, his moods and choices often changed on the breeze and only a few were ever able to foresee what he would do. It was shocking he was able to build a business but Topsy Turvy appeared one day and thrived, always full with the best and worst of the town, all moving under the watchful and mischievous eye of the co-owner. The man has no filter, he’s never considered developing one, and it comes as no surprise that he likes to light fires and stir pots just to see what happens. His words are often riddles, his motivations are mysteries and there’s a fire behind his eyes that threatens to break free and burn it all down.

❀ Marc Harris: The origin of their friendship is lost in time, all anyone knows is that they’ve been inseparable since the moment they arrived - a chaotic yin and yang that thankfully remains in balance. ❀ Thomas O’Malley: A reformed alleycat kind of man, Thomas gives Mohan a glimpse into a future where he settles down and it scares him. He knows that Thomas used to be the life of the party and while he’s still fun, it’s not like the old days. ❀ Nala Adeoye: Mohan has always loved a challenge and Nala, with her pride and morals, has become his perfect one. The one he wants to see crumble a little just for the hell of it.

Faster Pussycat- if you like gn’r you’ll probably like them, really underrated

Pretty Boy Floyd- when I make the joke about all hair metal bands looking the same, it’s probably because of this band :’))

Hanoi Rocks- it’s cool to see more people get into them after The Dirt they helped influence a lot of later bands in the genre

W.A.S.P- we need more people to talk about Blackie Lawless tbh
