additionally once again: special thanks to @magnumopos and @muzzleroars , neither of which I have actually spoken to in my life but both of which are credited with partially inspiring this! (dedicated section under the readmore due to the fact I do not generally tag people at all ever and wasn't sure if I should, but thought it was worth mentioning!) The former for giving me the wonderful idea of dragonfly V1, the latter for drawing V1 like a strange little creature + for the feedbacker plate, I enjoy both your works :]

Anyone else think about writing fan fiction but then realise your OC would just end up being an idealised/better version of yourself and also you keep attacking the story with different plot lines because ultimately you just want to end up with the character you’re obsessed with and you can’t make up your mind what the best/most compelling/most satisfying way for that to happen would be, so you keep the stories in your head?

Besides, your ideas are too insane for anyone to like, surely, even though you’ve written whole scenes in your head and you think they might actually be quite good alright?

Thinking about Apollo’s crush on Tristan McClean and how wild it would be if they did end up as a couple (for however long it might last.) How would Piper take it? What if he and Tristan had a kid? I feel like Piper would need a long time to process having a half sibling that is Lester’s kid. Obviously he’d be Apollo and not in his Lester form. But most of the time Piper was around Apollo he didn’t look anything like his godly form.

On one hand, I want a final fantasy 6 remake, because the game is criminally underrated and the amount of fan content (which is all absolutely fantastic btw) is Not Enough for my neurodivergent, hyperfixating brain.

On the other hand, that would inevitably encourage more people to join the fandom, which would be great, except it seems these days the bigger a fandom gets the more toxic it becomes, and I really like what we have going on over here in our little corner. We all just love the game and its characters and nobody fights about who should and shouldn't date who or who you shouldn't like because they're ~problematique~. Nobody's trying to make one ship morally better than another, nobody's calling anyone names or threatening to doxx people who don't agree with their opinions. It's so peaceful and I love that for us. We're just vibing. Moisturized. Unbothered. In our lane. Flourishing.

Musing on the cruise explosion

Call me insane but I really want Bobby to be the one that causes the explosion. Accidentally, of course. Just, Bathena on the case to thwart the evil pirates and save the innocents. Bobby saying he'll create a distraction and running off, not seeing the side eye Athena sends his way. He's a firefighter, after all. They shut engines and motors down all the time so they can rescue people. So he shuts down the big ships engine, but he misses something vital. Letting pressure release or something, and it causes the explosion. And Bobby's like... "Oops. My bad" (as the ship is slowly rolling onto its side).

Chaos Bobby is the captain of the 118 after all. Who do you think taught them all their ways? Then after it's all over we get some delicious guilt and angst on his part for sinking a god-damned cruise ship and causing yet more deaths and maybe some lingering trauma / throwback to his first big loss... please. Give us the throwbacks for all of them! Those who've read my fic know that I adore lil nuggets of humour amidst my angst and whump and dammit I want that in this emergency too! Reblog if you agree!

it’s kinda rude (to me as an ace person) to say it’s insulting the actor that someone would interpret his character as asexual. like regardless of headcanons that seems pretty acephobic.

As I said before, he was clearly depicted (over and over and over) as a sexual being who desired sex and love even if Rory wasn't willing to give those things to him. You don't have to share those desires personally, but if you are saying they didn't exist and that you don't believe it happened and it was all a lie, then you're saying that the actor failed because you don't believe that Jess Mariano is a sexual being that could want those things for himself and that he isn't capable of displaying sexual attraction. So yes, it is insulting the actor to say you don't believe he possesses any desire for sex when the narrative (unsubtly) says the exact opposite.

Don't get me started on all the people that are saying that Jess is psychologically troubled if not irreparably broken if he ever acts on any sexual attraction to anyone besides Rory. What's in store for him here? A life where she gets to cheat on him whenever she wants and he just has to put up with it? That's where it seems this is going. After all, she's not being asked to limit any of her desires or even stop cheating. I don't want that life for him. Sorry.

Also, I'm pretty much asexual in practice myself (not that it's anyone's business, because it's not). I just don't project onto other people. They can do their thing and I can (not) do mine. If you want asexual representation on this show, Mama Kim and Lane are right there. They have both been quoted as saying they hate sex and find it disgusting. There you go!

You don't need to project onto Jess and take away the things he wanted from him. He was entitled to pursue his sexual and romantic life on his own terms whether Rory was part of that life or not. He shouldn't be shamed for wanting to have sex at some point again. This particular character was clearly shown as being very, very interested in making that happen for himself. Not everyone has to be that way, but he was specifically. I just think people should respect that.
