Satoru Gojo x reader, Megumi Fushiguro x reader(platonic),
Summary- “Fushiguro, you didn’t tell me your mom is a total milf.”
Warnings- Yuji being a teenage boy Megumi is a mommas boy
Wc- 900+
-
Ever since Yuji heard the man he would come to know as Satoru Gojo said the words to Fushiguro at the school.
“I got an earful from the higher-ups ‘cause the special grade cursed object’s still missing, then your mother found out and I got an earful from her.”
Then when he was tied up Gojo kept mentioning his wife and how she helped him suspend his execution for the time being.
Yuji was even more interested in this woman who was Fushiguros mom and Satoru Gojo’s wife. I mean that would mean Fushiguro is Gojo’s son but he looks nothing like Gojo(besides maybe the hairstyle) and he doesn’t call him Dad. Hmm, maybe he looked more like his mom?
He walked onto the school grounds with Satoru next to him. Sukuna made an appearance on his cheek then his hand. But as Satoru explained Sukuna, Yuji’s eyes landed on a woman at the top of the stairs. She was talking on the phone and staring at her nails. She wore dark expensive-looking sunglasses, a pair of jeans, sandals, and a tank top. He could also tell she was foreign.
“WIFEY!” Satoru yelled out beside him and ran towards the woman. The woman hung up her phone and opened her arms out for Satoru. He spun her around in the air and then smashed their lips together. He placed her on the ground and she pushed against his chest gently to pull away. “What are you doing here? I thought you weren’t going to be back for another day.”
She scoffed and crossed her arms and Yuji watched the sorcerer in front of her pout.
“My son got sent on a mission to retrieve the finger of Ryomen Sukuna and got badly hurt in the process. Of course, I had to come.”
So this is his mom. She looks nothing like him either but I gotta say, she is one hot piece-
“So this is Sukunas vessel?” They had turned their attention to him and Yuji was staring directly at Gojo’s wife.
“Before we start talking, Yuji, this is my wife Y/n L/n. She's a special-grade sorcerer just like me!”
Whatever that means, nobody’s explained this grading stuff to me yet
“Yuji Itadori. A pleasure to meet you.” She gave him a bow and he did the same back. “How do you feel?” Her face softened and she took two steps down to inspect him.
“Um fine, I guess, considering everything.”
“Good, good. And you can control Sukuna at will?”
“Mhmm.”
She’s so hot
“I'm flattered Itadori.” She says with amusement and the boy looks at her horrified.
“Huh!?” He blushed heavily and shook his head. “I'm so sorry! Wait, how did you know that!?”
“Oh yeah, Y/n’s technique is telepathy. So my girl can read your mind, control your mind, mess with your mind, and destroy it.” He said and kissed her cheek.
“Cool! Sorry about that though.” He scratched the back of his head and laughed awkwardly.
“It's okay, Itadori.” Yuji’s blush hadn’t gone away and just burnt harder. “Well I'm going to go check on Megumi, I’ll see you two later.” Both guys watched her go.
“Whoah,” Yuji says and Satoru nods.
“I know right.”
-
“Megumi?” You knocked on his door and received no answer. You opened the door and saw him curled up in deep sleep. You smiled softly and approached his bed. You leaned over him and kissed his cheek, making him twitch but he relaxed. You sat in the chair in the corner and brought your feet up.
Megumi slept for another solid 10 minutes before waking up. You set your phone down and smiled.
“Hey Gumi, how are you feeling?” You sat on the edge of his bed and rubbed his shoulder.
“Mom, what are you doing here?” He asks, sounding extremely tired.
“I had to come check on you.”
“Mmph.” He sat up and groaned.
“You should keep resting.”
“My head hurts.”
“All the more reason to.”
The loud voices of Yuji and Satoru cut you off. Megumi's face hardened and he threw the sheets off his body. He opened the door and at the same time, Yuji and Satoru walked out of Yuji's new room.
“You’re next door?”
“Hey, Fushiguro!” You slipped past Megumi and walked to stand by Satoru. “Wow. You look all better now!”
“There are lots of other rooms, you know?” Megumi says with a scowl.
“Don’t be like that Gumi’, this can be good for you.” You say trying to convince him but he crosses his arms. Yuji walked up to Megumi and leaned towards him.
“Fushiguro, you didn’t tell me your mom is a total milf.” Yuji whispers to him. Megumi's eyes widened and left eye twitched.
“Huh!? Wh-Why would you say something like that!” Megumi whacked Yuji on the back.
“Ow! I mean it's true, and that ass though. She could put Jennifer Lawernce to shame.”
“STOP IT!”
“Boys, everything okay?”
“Yes, Mrs. Gojo!” Itadori says with a bright smile. While Megumi looked like he was going to blow a fuse. You look at them in confusion but turn back to Satoru.
“That's my mom Itadori.”
“Hey, Mrs. Gojo. Are you a teacher here?” Yuji asks you and you shake your head.
“No, but I'll be sticking around.”
“Great!” Yuji thumbs up’s you.
“Hmph.” Megumi grunts and glares.
Sorry J Law but my type is Fushiguros mom now

Solo Leveling Mochi Cat
Requested by: @vereimeja
Request: m!y/n gets the "harmless soft boi" treatment from his fans, even though there's proof of him slaughtering an orc with his bare hands. this is mostly because he tends to be quiet, as he's usually too bothered to speak, and because he's short and often wears oversized sweaters for comfort, as he doesn't like tight clothing. someone also somehow got a picture of him being healed by Beru, who is like 8 feet tall (?), which only fueled the fire. If someone were to treat him like that in real life, he'd just,,, stare.
Summary: In which Jinwoo never thought of getting a cat until he met you.
Or, it just happens that you don’t look like the typical hunter, just the opposite of that actually.
Pairing: Sung Jinwoo x M! Reader
Note: Thanks for your patience!
Warnings: Lots of fluff :)
★・・・・・・★
Sung Jinwoo met and saw a lot of hunters in action.
Even now, when all he sees is S-Class hunters, he could match the face to their power quite easily as it seems to fit. Same with their name and title, whether notorious or famous, Jinwoo didn’t have any trouble finding them in the crowd.
Thomas Andre and Liu Zhigang, for example, fit his image of a S-Class hunter quite well.
That is until he met you, or as others call you, “Mochi Cat”.”
Why? Because you were cute, short, and soft, and Jinwoo thought your fans must be crazy. Some of your fans even included some of the S-Class hunters.
Perhaps you were more of an idol than a hunter.
But he had to admit though, your photos were kinda cute. Just kinda.
It was during the Jeju Island S-Rank Gate mission, where he gathered with the Korean and Japanese hunters, was when he first saw you.
At first, his impression of you was akin to those of everyone else, mediocre and quite frankly, disappointing.
You were short, and wore an oversized sweater as if you were a student that woke up from their tutoring class. You looked like a middle school boy who had not grown up.
With your nonchalant and silent attitude despite the provocations from the Japanese team, Jinwoo believed that you did not care.
Until you were forced to.
In a face off, he watched you immediately crush your enemy with pure destructive power. Without using any weapons, you smashed their heads to the ground, successfully KO’ed them without any warning. He must admit, he didn’t expect the image of you standing above two of your enemies while sucking on a lollipop.
Then, he saw you snap your head around and send him a look.
Ah, it looks like he was caught.
You stared for another few seconds before you hopped off, and wiped your face with your long, long sleeve, which somehow covered your entire face.
Yea, Jinwoo could definitely see the cat now.
“Stop staring at me like that, both you and your friends.” Jinwoo blinked when he looked down at you, who sent him an annoyed look, before walking (floating) away.
Your words took a moment to process, and he immediately snapped around and tried to reach you, but you were already hidden in the center of all the other tall hunters, preventing him from reaching you.
For the next few rounds, Jinwoo wanted to get your attention, but it seems like only his match interested you. Other than that, you had the same bored expression on your face, even when you had someone talking to you.
“Hey, (Y/N) right?” You purposely turn slowly to meet him (and was that a disgusted look?), and Jinwoo extends a hand for you to shake.
“My name is Sung Jinwoo.” You shake his hand hesitantly, before nodding.
“Would you like to eat dinner together-”
“No.” Without another thought, you rejected the offer, and walked away, leaving him in the dust.
Ha.
There’s a first for everything.
But if you could see his shadows, there must be more to you than he thought.
Jinwoo is not stalking you.
He is using his shadows to monitor you, making sure you don’t do anything out of his expectations.
Which oddly enough, is happening.
Because all he does is see you get surrounded by fans cooing at how cute you are, to you sleeping on rooftops in your oversized hoodies.
Jinwoo doesn’t understand how you and he could possibly be the same age.
Did you not hit puberty?
“Why are you following me?” Jinwoo felt his lips twitch up in amusement when one of your eyes pop open in annoyance and glare at him.
“I’m curious.”
“Don’t.” Before you get up and cross your arms.
Jinwoo finally see the reason why you have so many fans, because everything you do look cute and childish, due to your outfit choices and nonchalant personality.
What he also found out was how much you hated that kind of attention, but didn’t want to take the initiative to fix it, creating this infinite loop.
“You’re injured, but you don’t treat it.” No response, just stares.
“Beru. Come out.” Even when Beru comes out of the shadow, nothing changes, if anything, you become more vigilant. It made Jinwoo more curious as to how you got your powers and what is making you act this way,
“Beru can heal you.”
Without any response, Jinwoo took it as a sign of acceptance, so when he approached you, he resisted the urge to pat you on the head like he would do to his little sister.
Within a few seconds, the blood was gone, and he received a nod in thanks.
“What do you want.”
Very blunt and curt, something Jinwoo doesn’t dislike. But, do you not like to talk to him or something? Did he do something wrong?
Jinwoo chose to push aside the doubt.
“I’m thinking of making a guild, and I want you to join.” There was silence in the air as he awaited your answer.
“...maybe.” That was enough for Jinwoo.
Once again, he shook your hand.
Then, he suddenly felt someone watching the two of you, and he turned around, only to see a reporter bowing happily before running away.
Jinwoo was confused, until the next day, he saw the hunter news.
It was the tiny you, beside him and the even more gigantic Beru.
You really looked like a cat in the face of two giants.
Jinwoo could already imagine the look of disgust on your face, the little scrunch of your nose and eye roll. He could also see you reading the news in the bed, and simply throwing your phone to the wall before going back to bed.
“Oppa, do you also follow Hunter (Y/N) too? I love him! He's so strong but also so cute!” Jinah shoved her phone in front of him and he saw your fan page.
“Mochi Cat”
Below were updates and threads, and even galleries with photos of you.
“Oppa, I saw you were together with him too! Is he really that small compared to you?”
Jinwoo thought back and with a little chuckle, he patted his little sister’s head.
“Yea, he is.”
Maybe he should invite you over sometime, Jinwoo had no doubts that his Mom would treat you like a child too.
That would be fun to watch you struggle and get annoyed.
“How does this happen?”
“Don’t.” You looked completely dead inside when you showed up to the guild office, and sat on the other side of the couch from him.
“You are able to rip an orc and an ant with your bare heads but people think you’re cute when you do that?”
A sharp glare, but Jinwoo couldn’t be scared of you when you just looked like a grumpy cat.
“What if you changed your outfit?” Jinho suggested with stars in his eyes, for the past few days since you’ve joined, he had always tried to get you to change.
“No.” With a flat rejection, he could only shrink back to his desk and sigh.
“It is one way to change the public opinion.”
“No. They’re uncomfortable.”
Jinwoo sighed, and unconsciously reached over and pat his head. Even when you move away and push his hand aside, he couldn’t help but tease you.
“You know, you might be more popular than me, ‘Mochi Cat’.”
“Shut up.”
“Can we adopt him Mom?”
“Only if he agrees-”
“No.”
“But oppa! I wanted a cat before and-”
“Jinah, let’s listen to ‘Mochi Cat’.”
“Shut up.”
JInwoo laughed, why get a cat when you can get a cat in a person?
"You should meow for your fans."
Jinwoo could never forget the look of horror on your face, followed by a look of disgust.
"Is that what you're into?"
Jinwoo chose to only gave a little smile, and instead pat your head.
"Of course not."
"Then wipe that smirk off."
"Sure sure..."
"Sung Jinwoo..."
"Oh, scary."
Jinwoo's cheek had a red imprint for the rest of the day, giving everyone else a field day for pissing off the one and only, "Mochi Cat".

&&. unfortunately you aren't as slick as you thought you were.
pairing: lee jeno x gn!reader
genre: fluffity fluff fluff fluff
warnings: sexual jokes, thats it 😚
word count: 1.2k
notes: jj spread the jeno bias disease i literally cant believe this 😭😭 hes so……….im abt to draft another long jeno fic + an smau + another stupid drabble and all of that fun stuff!! dont get it twisted jisung is still my ult though 😒 no ones ever replacing him, anyway this came from a prompt someone sent me, smth about "kissing someone on a ferris wheel" which i just LOVEEEED hello??? okay ik none of you care abt my words, love jeno, love nct dream, pray i get park jisung pcs 😇 good night now <33
you are going to murder na jaemin.
the moment you get off this ferris wheel your throwing up your guts all over his shirt, or punching him in his face, or strangling him to death, whatever. the moment you step off this ride you're making sure he doesn't open his eyes to see the rest of his fellow human beings ever again.
maybe if you were less awkward you'd actually be thanking him, but you take one side glance at the boy beside you and want to smash your head against the glass.
jeno doesn't notice your side glance (and thank goodness he doesn't because you probably would've died if he took so much as a glance at you), he's much too busy glancing at the view from the height your at. you assume that jeno likes ferris wheels, he probably likes them more than you do.
"are you alright?"
you mentally prepare yourself for the voice crack you know might escape your lips. just talk to him like a normal human being, y/n, yeah you're into him and shit but that doesn't mean you can be a weirdo.
"yeah" you finally respond, thank goodness the voice cracks don't come out. "just feeling a little nauseous".
jeno raises an eyebrow. "scared of heights?"
you only manage a curt nod, a nod that makes jeno scoot closer to you, his lips stretching into a smile. "it's alright, i'll protect you".
fuck you lee jeno, fuck you, fuck you, fuck yo—
your somehow able to chuckle, amused by his words. "it's not like i'm dying or anything".
jeno frowns. "so you don't want my protection?"
you pretend to think about it, pressing your lips together as your eyebrows furrow, avoiding eye contact with jeno at all costs. if you look at him, your going to fall and never get up. "i wouldn't be entirely against it".
jeno's shoulder nudges yours, nothing but a small touch that drives you crazy. you wonder if the mini breakdown your having is noticeable, if maybe, he's doing it on purpose, making your heart race to get a kick out of it.
but when you think about it further, it makes you giggle, because this is lee jeno, you could get down on one knee and propose to him yet he'd still be confused by how you feel for him.
if lee jeno knew how you felt for him really, you probably wouldn't have resisted the urge to make out with him on this fucking ride or already.
that was a strange thought, a stupid one even, but it's one manifested from your deepest desires.
when you think about it, though, you wouldn't exactly mind it.
"that's good" jeno snickers at you, eyes examining your face as if it's an interesting exhibit at an art museum. "you need me".
you feign a sigh of irritation. "of course, what would i do without you?"
"you'd die, clearly" jeno replies, tilting his head and reaching over to lace your fingers with his. the cold rings on his fingers feel like glass shards against your fingers, but his soft hands contrast his stabbing rings. "isn't this sort of romantic?"
you choke on your spit.
"romantic? roma— hah! what are you talking about? what is romantic about this?"
soooo natural, y/n.
jeno simply shrugs, suddenly very interested in the view of the carnival from the ferris wheel. "were on a ferris wheel together, stars before us, just the two of us, this would be like.. the perfect date".
you blink, the words making you pause and your head spin. is he serious? is he really serious?
"is this your way of asking me out?"
you manage to ask that without sounding like a pathetic idiot who wanted to hear those exact words, and your response gets the same reaction out of jeno, flushed cheeks with an awkward chuckle accompanying the sight. you would've thought you were a genius if you weren't as flustered as he was.
jeno is speechless, and he fumbles through his speech like someone's holding him at gunpoint or something. "i— no! no! ..maybe? kinda?"
you pause, all your former confidence suddenly withering away, the blood rushing to your cheeks in full force. you laugh, taking his words as a joke, but jeno keeps silent, and so do you.
"are you serious?"
jeno can't speak, so he just nods wordlessly.
you blink, glancing from side to side, this ferris wheel won't be on the ground soon, but at least this makes it a little more bearable. "did you just confess your feelings for me like that?"
"well to be fair—"
"i was supposed to do it first!" you yell in another fit of feigned irritation, your cheeks a color reminiscent of jeno's cherry red shirt. "that's not fair! you beat me to it!"
"well how was i supposed to know you liked me back?"
you scoff, and jeno goes silent again, embarrassed by the question he just asked.
"you're such an idiot lee jeno.."
"can i kiss you?"
the question is a blurt of pure desperation, pure honesty from the deepest corners of jeno's mind, an inquiry he's been dying to ask you ever since he found himself interested in staring at your lips.
you hope you don't faint from the scorching heat radiating off your face.
"it's romantic" he laughs, his best excuse for that random inquiry. "i've always wanted to kiss someone in a ferris wheel, unless you don't want to then—"
you (in the most cliche turn of events) cut jeno off with a kiss. though you'd love to keep your fingers intertwined, you let go of his hand to find purchase on his shoulder, then tug him closer to you with a light jerk. a small squeak emits from him, but he quickly relaxes into the kiss, giggling at your enthusiasm.
though he giggles, he isn't much better off. it's nothing but a small press of the lips, it's not intense or anything, but jeno feels his heart soar. hie face heats to overwhelming heights, and he loops his arm around your waist, pressing you against him, as if the idea of not feeling every part of you would be maddening.
you both are just as desperate as each other, there's no push, just pull. it's a playful competition, your waiting for the other to pull away, stop the kiss because they need breath, it's stubborn in an idiotic way.
but jeno loses your little battle, because he pulls away for air, as red as the sunset in the early morning.
and though you laugh at the sight, you aren't much better off yourself (if the heat continuing to permeate from your face is enough).
"was that romantic enough for you?"
even with how breathless he is, jeno still manages a stupid question.
he squeals when you land a slap on his shoulder.
and while you thought you two were slick about it, considering you were like five feet in the air with nobody to see you, your equally red faces and intertwined hands were enough to get feigned vomits from your friends.
jaemin snickers as he looks between you two, and you glare as you see him open his mouth.
"so what happened up there?"
"clearly they got it on".
upon hearing the words, you let go of jeno's hand to yell and chase after lee donghyuck, who squeals and sprints away, shouting for renjun to help him.
jaemin just sends jeno a knowing look, a look that the older pretends he isn't bothered by.
for once, one of his ploys finally worked.

The Ol switcharoo (pt4)
Stan x reader/ ford x reader
Summary: You journey into stanfords mind for the sake of the shack when you learn more than you probably should have
Warning: none Look, I'm trying to lay down more romance. The stakes are gonna get raised soon. We can't keep tiptoeing guys
Also sorry if it feels a little choppy and all over the place
Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~☆~~~~~~~
Stanford had been distant a lot more than you would like to have admitted over the past few weeks. Sure, you'd get the kids together, and all of you would hang out and have your own little adventures, but more often than not, you couldn't find him before you followed your new adopted great niece and nephew out the door for the next great adventure or activity for the summer.
You loved going out with them, taking them to lunch, or to shop Dipper even more recently, inviting you to monster hunt again. But when you weren't invited and the kids went on their own journey, you found the house was only quiet.
In the what seemed to be rare and far in-between days stan was with the three of you, you felt a great wave of peace wash over you. The four of you laughing in the car after narrowly escaping one of stans crazy ideas, sitting with him on the back porch, watching the kids run around.
You felt a buzz inside you when you sat next to him, watching him laugh at dippers water balloon hitting the ground without a pop. You loved your routine with him before the kids arrived. It seemed like that was becoming all you knew.
But the shack felt different with laughter filling it up. And if you realized it or not, those two kids were bringing you closer to Stanford when he hung around. You took a deep breath and scooted in closer to Stanford, his arm instinctively wrapped around the back of the couch, letting you fill as much space next to him as you wished.
"I can't believe this is my life now. I don't know what i did to deserve this." He said, looking down at you as you now watched the twins in the yard. "Everything happens for a reason, remember?"
"I guess so." His hand fell softly onto your shoulder, snuggling you closer. "Look out!" You and Stanford both jumped up as one of the water balloons landed where you were once sitting.
"Can't a guy get any peace around here!?" You laugh at him as he runs out into the yard demanding a balloon.
The feelings washed away, knowing he'd be hiding by tonight.
He was right, though. You couldn't believe this was your life as of right now.
"Y/n?"
You hummed in response as you cleaned dippers cut. "Would you say your feelings for Grunkle stan are...of the romantic kind?" Mable asked from right beside her brother her own adventure wounds needing to be rented too.
"Mable!" Dipper yelped, knocking her over with a nudge. You laughed out loud at her question. "Sorry..sorry." You cleared your throat. "Excuse me. Mable, what would make you ask something like that?"
"Oh c'moonnn as a love expert-"
"Your twelve-"
"I can see how you and grunkle stan look at eachother, you've been friends for years, and you've really never felt anything more than friendship for him?"
You bit the inside of your cheek as you thought about her question. "I guess maybe a few years ago... but things were different back then, and I never knew how he felt about me. Besides, so much time has passed that I'm sure that old fart feels anything other than tired anymore." Mable jumped to her feet and smashed your cheeks together.
"Y/n it is my mission as a matchmaker and love expert of gravity falls. I make it my mission to get you and my grunkle together!"
"Mable, why do you even care? Grunkle stan has shown no interest in anything other than money since we've been here."
"Dippers got a point." You say pulling tables small hands from your face. "Besides, I'm not taking love advice from the girl who dated little Gideon not too long ago."
Mable's face grew red, and she pulled the neck of her sweater up. "Ugh, don't remind me." You chuckled again, refocusing the attention to the wounds on each kid as Dipper went back to explaining what had happened in the first place.
You'd gone the next few weeks thinking about mables question. Did you still have feelings for stanford?
It wasn't something you thought much about. You two just existed with eachother nothing ever really came out of it since you were young. Besides, you'd never make a move unless you knew his exact feeling for you. He'd been so secretive recently that the only way For that to happen, you'd have to get inside his mind to find anything like that out.
Of course that was almost impossible.
"Y/N THERES A LITTLE YELLOW GUY TRUING TO TAKE OVER STANS MIND WE NEED YOUR HELP DIPPERS GOING TO TAKE US IN THERE COME ON COME ON!"
Of course maybe you spoke to soon.
"Mable slow down! What's going on!?" You asked as she dragged you by the sleeve into the family room where Stanford sat sleeping.
"So like we saw little Gideon in the woods and poof a little yellow man appeared and he made a deal with him to go inside stans mind to get the code to the safe that Mr pines keeps the deed in." Soos explained in one long breath you could see his face Turing a strange shade of red and violet.
"Wha-"
"No time we need to go now before it's to late!" Mable cried before you could even think to ask for clarification or any follow up questions.
You followed along with what Dipper told you to do, and you watched as he read from an oddly familiar book.
You make a note to ask him about it later.
Your thoughts were cut off as dippers chanting got louder, and before you knew it, the world had melted away from you, and you were suddenly sitting in a patch of grey grass.
"Wow! This is stans mind?" Mable said, hopping up and looking at the grey landscape before you.
You pushed yourself and looked around jaw on the floor. "I've done some pretty crazy things in my day, but this is beyond me..."
"Thanks for coming along y/n!" Mable said.
"Of course! You know you can count on me for anything, kids."
"OK, we need to keep an eye out for the triangle guy." Dipper stated as you headed twoard the shack.
"Yea, look put for the triangle guy!" You jumped at the voice that appeared out if no were surprised to see it belonged to exactly what the kids and soos had said.
"It's him it's the guy!" Soos said in alarm pointing at the glowing shape.
"You leave our grunkles mind alone, you isosollies monster!" Mable shouted as she charged at him. "Mable!" You and Dipper shouted each holding out an arm to grab her.
You watched in horror as the triangle swallowed her up and waited a minute before spitting her back out into your arms.
"Stan's family, it's good to finally meet you! Some more than others!" He said, floating particularly close to you as he said so. You scowled at him and shielded Mable from him. "Names bill cipher."
"Get out of stans mind! You have no business here!" Dipper shouted.
"Trust me, kid! You're the only one who should be getting out of here your way over your heads." His one winked as he shot a finger gun twoard Dipper shooting ahole through him. "I'm gonna find that code and and you're not going to stop me!"
He flew away, leaving a triangle shape hole in the shack.
"We gotta get that code before that freak does." You said pausing to giggle as Mable reached her arm through the hole in dippers chest.
"Mable!" You coughed and put on a serious face. "Alright, kids...and soos.. let's go."
You lead the way into the shack of stans mind your eyes darting from door to door each labeled a different thing.
Fears, hopes, etc.
"Look! Stans memories!" Soos pointed out. You all ran into the hall watching memories play out all around you. "Quick, let's split up and cover more ground."
You turned to open a door but the mables' hand caught yours. "Look what I found!" She squealed with giddy. "You found the code? Already?" She shook her head and dragged you out down the memory hall and too a door with a heart carved into the wood. Signage warning against opening the door nearly covering every inch.
"What is this?" You asked the girl beside you. "Look for yourself." She lifted up a "get lost" sign to reveal the doors true label.
"Y/ns memories."
"Oh Mable I dunno...we should really be looking for the code."
"Oh, c'mon, you said it yourself that you never really knew what he felt for you it wouldn't hurt to look!"
"Yes, Mable, it would! the shack is at steak-"
Before you could continue, Mable had opened the door and pushed you in. "Face your fears y/n! Face your emotions!" She slammed the door shut on you. "Don't worry y/n we'll find the code before bill does, I'll come back for you when we do!"
you huffed and stood up dusting yourself off, this was ridicules you knew how Stanford felt about you you've known each other for what felt like your whole life. Besides you told Mable already if anything was to happen it would have by now. your hand grasped the door handle as you prepared to chase the twins and Soos down.
"Congratulations!" you heard a voice say from behind you. you turned to see one of the many doors cracked open. despite your better judgment to go after the kids you went straight for the door pulling it open. to see your wedding day.
well, your fake Vegas wedding. stan stood at the counter with the cashier in a dinky thrift shop on the outskirts of Vegas itself, waiting for you. "oh right..." you mumble to yourself watching your shared memory through Stans eyes.
"I'm sure you're very excited about the wedding." Stanford shrugged. "Trust me, I've been married a few times...this ain't nothing new for me." you frowned a little, you weren't sure why, you knew that's how he'd felt and it wasn't a real wedding. "Stanford! Look at this!!!" you yelled excitedly to him pushing open a dressing room curtain behind him.
you excitedly spun around in the wedding outfit you had picked out, you were so much younger, it suspired you too see yourself.
you watched Stanford's face flush upon seeing you his eyes fixated on you jaw almost on the floor. you didn't remember him looking at you like that. "wow you look...you look amazing!" he said rubbing the back of his neck trying to find the right words. you squealed in a pitch similar to the one Mable had done earlier before shutting the curtain again. "you were saying this wasn't something new?" the cashier asked raising a suspicious eyebrow.
"listen between you and me this whole Vegas wedding isn't anything new for me...they're corny, cheap and lousy all things y/n doesn't deserve any of that stuff, and I don't know why I'm telling you of all people, but I've known y/n for a while now the way she makes me feel isn't like how anyone has made me feel before I could never tell any of this too her, I've ruined to many relationships I could risk losing her in my life so try to act nonchalant about these types of thing, don't want to give myself away you know." the cashier stared at him unsure of how to react to all the information dumped onto him.
"here's 20 bucks to forget everything I said." he said sliding money across the counter.
you shut the door with a smile before looking down the long hallway. you crept over to another one. opening the door only to see a normal night you asleep on his shoulder as he continued to talk about the movie that was playing without realizing. it took him a whole monologue before realizing you had passed out. he leaned over careful not to wake you but enough to see you where sleeping.
he took a deep breath before talking some more. "Here goes nothing, y/n you've been with me through thick and thin when no one had my back you where there...I guess what I'm trying to say is y/n I...I think I have feeing's for you...you've made me an honest man in some ways...and.." you jumped upon hearing screaming.
"Oh no Kids!" you took off running swinging the door open and running down the hallway running past memories trying to find the kids. "Dipper!? Mable? Soos!?"
"Dipper!-"
"This here's a-"
"Stan Vac-"
"Stanley do something-" you could no longer hear the kids let alone see them in all the noise of Stanford's memories. you began running out of the memories hall in hopes you'd find them somewhere else. "Dipper!? Mab-" the wind was knocked out of you as you and dipper crashed right into each other. "Y/n! there you are!"
"Dipper you're ok! where is your sister and Soos!?"
"Bills got them! Don't worry I have a plan!" you followed dipper through Stanford's mind following his exact plan, you never even thought about what you could do in ones mind, flying and giant water guns didn't never even cross your mind.
"Hey one eye!" you and dipper grabbed bills attention as you floated up to his level neon colored squirt guns in hand. "WHAT!?"
"Dipper! Y/N! how are you doing that?"
"This is a mindscape you can do anything you imagine in here!" you explained."who told you that? dont liten to them!"
"ready dipper!?"
"ready y/n! aim and..."
"Fire!" you both shot your water guns at bills eye causing him to cry out in pain, you watched Mable conjure herself kitten fists and launched them at bill.
"Now think of a portal out of stans mind!" the four of you shut your eyes and all thought as hard as you could as a portal opened up under bill. "No No No wait! wait! wait! ENOUGH!"
you all flew back as the space around you was now a white void. "you know you're all a lot smarter than you look! I'll let you go for now, you might prove to be useful especially you y/n."
you scrunched your nose at him. "but remember there will come a day when everything you care about will change! until then I'll be watching you!"
there was a bright flash and he was gone. "well that wasn't ominous.." you said "we did it though! He left!" dipper cheered.
before you knew it Stan woke up and you were all wakening up in the Livingroom. and for a moment everything was normal again. "Ugh I had the weirdest dream." stan said rubbing his head. "You're ok!" you exclaimed running over to hug him and planting a quick kiss on his lips. his face heated up as you did so and before you knew it the kids had joined the hug.
a few hours later you'd gotten the kids to go to bed and found Stanford sitting on the back porch. "care for a drink?" you asked offering him a pitty cola he accepted with a smile. and you sat down next to him.
"where have you been?' you asked. a lot had happened today a lot that made you think things over and you decided to start there.
"what do you mean?" he asked with a chuckle. "I've been right here like i always have."
you shook your head. "Most days we can't find you, its been me and the kids or just me in the house, a lot has changed since those two came around most of its been for the better but i didn't think it would drive you away."
he frowned. "do you trust me?"
"Of course." you answered without hesitation.
"I've been working on something i cant tell you what but it's important. and I'll tell you what if it bothers you so much, I'll be around more." you smiled.
"good, I miss you." you said bumping into him.
you both chuckled and then there was a beat of silence you looked up at the sky and took a breath. "Stanford."
"Yea?"
"I think...we'll in light of some recent events...Stanford you mean the world to me."
"uh-oh is something wrong? why are you getting all sappy?"
you took another breath and exhaled all the words you were trying to say.
"Stanford pines I think I'm in love with you and I think you feel the same way about me!" you covered your mouth after you spilled it all. and he stared at you in shock. "Y/n...I uh..."
"I know this is random...buy. You know better late than never, right?"
stan stared at you in awe where your eyes sparkling in the starlight. was this really happening to him right now?
"Stanford?" you placed a hand over his when went silent. normally he would jump at an opportunity like this. sweep you off your feet. But as he stared at your hopeful eyes all he could do was wonder how much of what you felt was really for him, Stanley Pines and how much of it was for who you had believed him to be.
"Oh come on Grunkle stan! Take her on a date already!" Mables voice shouted from above you.
"Mable? what are you doing up!?" you shouted standing to your feet to look up at the twins practically hanging out their window. "yea c'mon Grunkle stan!" dipper agreed with his sister.
"Date! Date! date!" the two kids cheered into the night air.
"alright! alright!" stan said trying to shush them.
"y/n...would you do me the honors of going to dinner with me?" you laughed and his heart swelled at your answer. "Of course Stanford pines."
Billy took a drag on the cigar he was holding between his fingers, and then released all the smoke he had obtained.
Both him and Fenchie were watching you dance from the other side of the bar. They had talked to you a few times, and the flirtatious looks you gave them both was the torture they received in exchange. They knew your name and age, but other than that, the only thing they received were glances and small, discreet, slightly suggestive touches.
"So, who is going to take the first step? " Frenchie questioned, in a low tone so that only Butcher could hear him.
"You" he responded, without even thinking about it. Frenchie quickly denied.
"Haven't flirted with a lady in years. It should be you. You have more experience."
"If I do it, I ain’t gonna include you in my proposal" Butcher shrugged his shoulders. He couldn't stop watching you, from top to bottom, dancing with your friends while passing a shot of tequila like water.
Billy took another drag from his cigar, and was distracted as he played with the lighter. Suddenly, a soft hand rested on his shoulder, and then on Frenchie's too. You made your way between them to call the woman on the other side of the bar and order another round for your group of friends. When you finally finished ordering, you looked at the two men there, who were staring at you without any discretion.
"How is your night going? " you questioned, disguising the flirtation with kindness.
"Not as good as yours" Billy responded, turning his eyes away from yours. The closeness with those two men made you give in more and more to the lustful thoughts you'd been having lately.
"I think I can do a little something to improve your night" An expression full of interest appeared on both of their faces, and that satisfied your wishes. You leaned closer to Billy's ear, "Room 236. In 10 minutes. Bring the french guy too." You finished speaking, and after giving Frenchie a small glance, you retreated to go up to the room you had reserved exclusively for tonight.
You waited only two minutes, and then, several knocks on the door made you feel more nervous than you already were. You took a deep breath, and opened the door to meet the two men you had been almost fantasizing about.
They both entered after you let them do so. The door was padlocked, and two pairs of eyes were completely scanning your body.
"So if I understood correctly, I imagine ye want a threesum with us luv, ain't that right?" Butcher asked, gifting you a grin in the process.
"Yeah, I suppose you are," you declared.
Taking slow steps, Billy started to approach you, placing his hand on your cheek. Your eyes were staring at him as Frenchie watched expectantly.
Butcher ran one of his thumbs over your lips, stroking gently. His gaze was filled with need. "May I?" he asked. You broke the space between both of you, and launched yourself at his lips.
Billy's hands rested on your hips as you stretched one of your hands to reach Frenchie's face. A devious smile appeared on his face when you separated from Butcher, looking at him carefully, as if reviewing each and every one of his features.
You grabbed Frenchie by the chin, and brought him closer ultimately smashing your lips together in a wild kiss. Frenchie's hands were on your face, while Billy's were on your hips. You didn't waste any time at all as you let yourself be wrapped in Frenchie's soft lips.
Butcher began to surround you, little by little, until he ended up behind you, covering your neck with small wet kisses, while your lips were being devoured by Frenchie. Billy's hands ran down your back, and ended at the beginning of the zipper of that pretty black dress you were wearing. Slowly, he started to take it off, and in sync, your hands rested on the edge of Frenchie's shirt, taking it off in a skillful movement.
Billy ran his fingers along your arms, bringing with him the straps of your dress, leaving it on the floor. You were left only in a beautiful set of lingerie, which fit your body perfectly.
"You like what you see?" you questioned as you smirked, seeing both of their faces almost drooling over you.
"You know we do, ma belle" Frenchie said.
Things began to move faster from there, and soon, Frenchie didn't have a single item of clothing on, and you finished getting rid of the last item of clothing that Billy was wearing. You grabbed Butcher by the waist and walked him to the edge of the bed to gently push him to sit there.
"Rough, aren't ya darlin’?" Billy smirked as Frenchie approached you from behind and began kissing your neck.
His hands slid to your breasts as he began to gently massage them. You couldn't help but moan with pleasure, throwing your head back. Your kisses went to Frenchie's lips, while Butcher’s hands continued to roam through your body, pulling you closer to him. One of your hands went down Frenchie's abdomen until you reached his cock, which was already hard and eager to be touched. A moan slipped from the frenchman’s lips as you gently touched the tip.
"I have an idea," you whispered, separating yourself from Frenchie, him following your lips as you chuckle.
With a sign, you motioned for him to lie down in the center of the bed, and when he was finally there, you scooted over him to settle between his legs.
Butcher knew where this was going, and he stood behind you, gently taking you by the waist.
Kneeling on the bed, with Billy behind you kissing your body non-stop,you moved one of your hands to Butcher’s cock, and began to caress it gently.
“Fuck doll, you know what I want you to do wi’ this, right? Such a slut f’me, been teasin’ me for so so long, haven’t ya darling”
You responded with an inevitable moan that slipped from your lips.
“Whatcha want?”
“I need you inside of me”
He grabbed you by your hair and pulled you closer to his cock. Your tongue ran over it, and you felt pride rushing through you as a grunt full of pleasure came from his mouth.
His strong, large hand reached one of your cheeks, separating you from his cock, making you look at him for a moment as he caressed your skin.
“Despite how much I’m enjoying the show m’lady, I would very much like to be included.” Frenchie said, getting closer to you.
You took one look at him, and, with temptation coursing through your veins, you turned around and started to stroke Frenchie’s dick.
Billy, seeing you from behind, grabbed you by your waist, and positioned you towards him so he had a perfect angle to your ass.
He brazed one of his fingers over your clit, feeling how wet you were.
“Aye darlin’ if I knew how excited you were I would’ve done somethin’ faster.”
Butcher took his own dick in his hands, and guided it towards your pussy. His tip barely touched you and you already felt yourself dissolving in pleasure.
Gently, Billy slid into you, and a moan coming from both filled the room.
"Music to my fuckin’ ears," he murmured, satisfied.
Your mouth took care of Frenchie’s dick, bobbing your head up as you stared right into his eyes and he held you by your hair, not exactly pulling, but he was applying a certain pressure.
“Merde, this girl is really something Butcher.”
Billy increased the speed of his thrusts, filling you with increasingly exquisite pleasure. The speed with which he moved was supernatural, and caused vibrations within you that you had never felt before.
Again and again, moans slipped from the lips of all three.
"Ah… You're magnificent," Butcher groaned, feeling every part of his body begin to tense as he dug his nails into your ass.
At that point, you were melting into so much pleasure you couldn’t understand how you had been waiting so long to finally make an actual move.
You felt the electricity of an orgasm fill you as Billy went faster and faster, not stopping despite the fact you’d already cum. A loud moan left your mouth, which made Frenchie groan in response, feeling him pulsing inside your mouth.
Breathing heavily, you tried to recover as you started to massage Frenchie’s balls on your hands.
“Billy” you whimpered, pulling your mouth from Frenchie’s dick and working with your hands instead as you felt yourself reach a second orgasm.
Frenchie squeezed his eyes shut as he felt his cock tighten more and more.
“Ah, m’belle. Keep it up," he asked, full-on moaning as he reached his orgasm.
Butcher continued his thrusts until he accompanied you both through your orgasms.
Several broken moans reached your ears, satisfied with hearing them both curse amidst so much pleasure.
You let out a small sigh, and began to feel how Billy wrapped you in his arms, pressing his chest to your back.
"Doll, your cunt’s a fuckin’ masterpiece," he murmured into your ear, you were able to feel him smiling against your lobe.
You chuckled and nodded, without verbally responding as he began kissing your neck.
Frenchie got up from the bed, and rose to capture your lips in a kiss so desperate and filled with need you wondered if your lips would ever recover.
"I want to taste you," he murmured against your lips, eyes dark and filled with lust. "Let me taste you."
You nodded softly.
They both made way for you to lie down on the bed, and soon, Frenchie placed his face between your legs.
Butcher knelt beside you, and without a second thought, he pulled your face in for a kiss.
As your tongues wrapped around each other, a moan escaped into the kiss as you felt one of Frenchie’s cold fingers trace your entrance.
Butcher smiled to himself when he heard you, licking your bottom lip.
Frenchie’s tongue ran over every part of your cunt in a smooth, slow motion, and it made you moan once more.
Billy ran one of his hands over your abdomen, and then slowly went up to grope your breasts. He continued kissing you frantically, but you couldn't keep up. The pleasure making you gasp and moan between kisses.
One of your hands ran down Billy’s chest, and went down to his cock, where you gave a small squeeze that made him grin into the kiss.
You began to move your hand up and down Butcher's cock, while Frenchie added fingers inside your pussy.
The minute he started rubbing your clit in circles was the minute you started to feel yet another orgasm building up.
You started to stroke Billy’s dick faster, trying to finish him off at the same time as you finished.
Billy’s hand squeezed your left tit as he moved his mouth to suck the other.
The overstimulation was too much. You came with a scream as Butcher grinned and pulled on your nipple.
“That pussy-” Frenchie smacked his tongue against his paladar. “Fucking magnifique.”
Butcher laid down beside you staring at your blown out eyes.
“Look at ‘er French, so beautiful, all dizzy from us.” He caressed your cheek gently with his thumb. “Not a thought in yer brain, right darlin’?”
✍︎︎ 𝐋𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬
@st7rnioioss request (ily babydoll♡︎)
୨ৎ - 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬 | In the heart of a quaint town, Matt finds himself stumbling into the isles of a dear bookstore, adventuring through the labyrinth of towering bookshelves, he finds himself captivated not just by the titles, but by the girl who tells them.
୨ৎ — 𝐂𝐖. Teensey bit suggestive, but mostly fluff!
ℳ𝒾𝓂𝒾’𝓈 𝒩ℴ𝓉ℯ𝓈 - I’ve been so inactive due to medical reasons, but I’m back, and currently working on more projects. I love you all so very much, and am beyond grateful for all of the support (300 followers?! Ily)
✩- With a soft thud, the glass door fell shut behind Matt as he stepped inside, instantly enveloped by the charming surrounding, a faint fragrance of crisp book pages and an aromatic cedar-like essence. Huh, he thought to himself, the weight on his shoulders falling as he took in his atmosphere. Unlike the usual bookstores or libraries that hustled restlessly, and made his heart jump in his chest, this was a sweet contrast.
✯-The idyllic store was faintly lit with a pink hue, soft on the male’s eyes as he glanced at the decor placed around. He felt as if the enchanted looking environment was far more traditional, rather than the bookstores that were designed in a modernized manner. Rustic furniture that he was shamelessly fond of, cozy looking chairs sat at wobbly tables, and a ticking clock.
✩-Matt drew his gaze from the small detailings, smiling at the odd by-passer as he shuffled through the aisles, before he turned toward the right end of the quaint store. Tick tock, tick tock. The clock hung just aside the array of shelves that leaned against the wall behind a large desk, ticking insistently in his mind. Keeping his distance, Matt curiously ran his eyes along the counter with interest.
✯-Pens and markers were sat inside a dusty little organizer, some upside down and others right side up. The comforting melody of ‘Here Comes the Sun’ by the Beatles flooded from the speaker of an old record player, the disc making a little err’ every now and then as the vinyl spun. Thousands upon hundreds of books aligned on the shelves, many collecting dust from the prolonged placement.
✩-Mere seconds passed before Matt swallowed the anxiousness gripping his lungs, eyes flicking around the store as he took a step forward. The male bit down on his lip as someone abruptly dodged in front of the triplet, making him mutter a small “shit”. I guess this place doesn’t attract the most civil customers. “Hey sweetness.” The grey haired male spoke seductively, making Matt’s nose crinkle with distaste.
✯-Suddenly a head popped up from behind the counter, a meek girl standing from her crouched frame. “Two day’s in a row?” She sheepishly chuckled, tucking loose tendrils of hair behind her ear as she nipped at her bottom lip. Uncomfortable, she looked uncomfortable. Matt observed her small movements, becoming uneasy as her hands shook in the slightest.
✩-The man, who was visibly at least ten years older than the girl, placed a hand on the desk. “What can I say? Something’s caught my eye.” He mused, grinning like a fool as he leaned forward. Her lips parted, no words emitting as she stepped back. “Is there a particular book you’re interested in, sir?” Smart girl. Matt felt a smile twitch on his lips as he heard her switch the subject swiftly.
✯-Her eyes widen as the sleezey male points an outstretched finger toward the shelf behind her, quickly flicking her eyes to the area. “What about that one?” Glancing at the array of all the books, she nervously looked back at the smirking man. “Uh-sorry, what one?” Hands nervously wringing together, feeling as if she was failing at her job. Such a simple one at that.
✩-With a careless shrug, Matt lifts an eyebrow at his next request. “Surprise me.” Surprise him? Scoffing, Matt crossed his arms while watching the interaction. The urge the smash the male’s face into the counter was a little too tempting, but the triplet brushed it off as he watched the girl turn around. Looking meek, she stepped a pink sneakered foot onto the latter.
✯-The weak light shone down on her skin irresistibly, Matt’s breath hitching at the sight of something so normal, glimmering with such a provocative tone on her. It was such a captivating sight, his eyes glued onto her hand as iridescent glitters twinkled off of her rings as she plucked a book from the shelf. Was this one too romantic? But this one would be to much Sci-fi. Gosh, why couldn’t he have just picked a book?
✩-Matt watched as the unknowing girl flicked through the books, before glancing at the grey haired man whose eyes couldn’t keep off of the girls backside. Disappointed and disgust built in the triplet’s chest as he shrugged off the wall, a sharp glare on his face as he stalked toward the counter. “Fuck outa’ here man.” Matt muttered, the man who bit his lip while looking the girls ass, snapping his eyes in the boy’s direction. “Sorry?” He scoffed, sounding baffled.
✯- “I said,” the neckline of the male’s shirt got balled in Matt’s fist as he grabbed ahold of the material, his eyes flying open at the contact. “get your eyes off the girl’s ass, and get the fuck out of here.” He counted in his head, one, two, three, four-rolling his eyes, the older man shrugged off Matt’s hand, storming away with a scowl.
✩- “I’m not too sure if this one-” Stepping down from the latter and turning around, the girl was expecting to meet eyes with the odd man from before. Instead, the uneasy feeling that swirled in her belly came to a stop as she met eyes with a brown haired man. Matt cocked his head while looking at the girl, nonchalantly smiling her way as if he hadn’t just shocked the life out of her. “I’m not really into the whole ‘romance’, thing.” The triplet joked.
✯-Slowly parting her lips, she drew her eyebrows together in perplexity. Matt’s face dropped a little, clearing his throat as he waved at the book she held. “The book - I meant.” Oh. She felt warmth flood to her cheeks at the realization, blowing out an airy laugh as she glanced down at her shoes. “No?” He hummed, smirking with amusement as he gently shook his head. “Can I ask why?” The murmur made his heart flutter.
✩-Cute. He thought to himself. “Why do you like it?” Matt drew out, forearms lazily falling on the desk as he leaned over a bit. The girl bit her lip in temptation, eyes flicking to his hands that rested on the counter. Veins outlined the soft skin of his hands, two rings on the fingers placed aside his middle and ring. Slim, she thought, the sinful thought leaving her breathless. Clearing her throat, she shifted her gaze up to Matt’s heated one. “Who’s to say I do?”
✯-Matt opted to leave her waiting for a moment, too caught up in his own mind to put together a proper response. The way her lips moved was a fascinating allure, the sight of it playing over in the triplet’s mind over and over until he felt the heat flutter in his abdomen. Fuck, not now. “Just a hunch.” Flicking his blue eyes to her neck, he ran his tongue along his bottom lip. “Pretty,” he whispered to himself, just loud enough for her to hear.
✩-The girl’s heart locket rested sensationally against her flawless clavicle, a mouthwatering sight to the boy as his hungry gaze took in her enticing character. Tilting her head with curiosity, she spoke. “Tell me.” Matt lifted an eyebrow, seeing the perfect twinkle beneath the surface of her lustrous eyes.
✯-He silently admired her for a moment too long. “Tell you what?” Was he really making her do this? The girl peered into Matt’s eyes with an indescribable look, before sighing. “The hunch.” Ah, there it was. Matt tipped his head back with a soft chuckle, nodding a bit,“Well, for starters,” he waved a hand around her neck. “that.” The pink ribbon that was weaved snuggly around her neck got tugged at by her index finger as she dipped in under the satin, making a small ‘ah’. “It gives off a very .. romantic, look.” He explains, watching as her eyes lit up. She liked hearing that.
✩- Grinning like a Cheshire Cat, her head tipped to the side as giggled softly. “Romantic?” Matt hummed, a smile of his own growing on his lips. “Mhm.” Fair. The girl absentmindedly toyed with the fabric as she looked into his eyes shyly, feeling a tad intimidated by his heavy gaze. “What else?” So unprofessional, she thought to herself, but her smile didn’t die down.
✯- He pondered for a second, before answering without a beat missed. “You picked that particular book without knowing what the customer would think,” Matt started, watching as not only her eyes took everything in, but how her facial expressions changing with every word. “meaning that you probably were thinking of what you would’ve liked to be chosen, if you were in their place.” As his explanation came to an end, the girl felt speechless.
✩-Her heart swooned at the male’s interest in her, feeling special almost. It was a safe bet to say that her store didn’t attract the most intriguing men, especially not ones that would ever take such an interest in her of all girls. She was awkward, and said all of the wrong things - and probably should’ve spent all of the time she spent reading, out having a social life.
✯-And if anyone were to get that, it would be Matt. The two individuals shared the glimpse of each other’s stares for a while, the silence never awkward, and always deep. So much behind the surface of one look, an untold story swirling in the distance. Drifting from her irresistible gaze, Matt’s eyes fell on a small homely looking tote bag that sat behind the desk, a stack of books poking from atop. “What’re those?” The triplet mused, watching as her face lit up.
✩- “Oh.” Peeking a look behind her, she felt embarrassment fill her body as she caught sight of her tote bag, various books of her own open to the eye. “Yeah..” Her hand reached up to nervously itch at her freckled cheek, seeing Matt’s smirk grow at the slightest. “it’s just a few I’ve been meaning to read on my breaks.” As her lips moved in the shy like allure, Matt fell something erupt in his heart.
✯-A tranquil mix of fresh air and adoration sinking into his chest while he melted into her gaze. There was something so simple about the way the two individuals caught up in conversation, neither of them having to even think before speaking. It was almost too easy, Matt pondered. “Have any recommendations?” The triplet inquiries, tilting his head with a curious expression.
✩-She bit down on her lip, hiding a grin. “You don’t like what I like.” Matt’s eyebrow rose with surprise at the bold statement, leaning in closer as he huffed out a sound of amusement. “And what is it that you like?” She’d really done it now. Warmth spread across her cheeks, pink tinting the soft skin as she unknowingly seduced the male with her star-struck eyes.
✯- Butterflies pressed against her gut as she thought about all of the obscene things she’s read in all of her years, the sinful details written on cedar pages as she bit her lip while imagining all of the things happening to the female character, were taking place on her body. Only this time, the girl was thinking about him. The mysterious man across the counter dragging his calloused finger tips across her bare torso, slowly gliding down her dewy skin until he thumbed at the rough material of her lace undergarment. She could practically feel the chills going down her spine at the mere thought of him whispering sweet nothings against her ear. “Takin’ like the good girl you always were, huh?” It seemed too real to fantasize.
✩-A small -sick, part of the girl knew that if Matt was to demand or request something, that she’d comply without a second thought. Not in the sense of being forced, but because deep down something inside of her ignited with a burning need to please every time she met his eyes. And if anything, to the girl, submission was trust. Such a poorly portrayed dynamic in the books she read, but some aspects she found herself drawn to.
✯- Swallowing the lump she felt in her throat, she gained the strength to fiercely look into the male’s domineering eyes. “I don’t mind romance.” She murmured, cocking her head with a shy glint in her eyes. Matt, already having caught onto this, urged on. “Yeah?” At her nod, “and what kind of romance, kid?” The inquiry came out in a condescending manner, making the girl’s thighs squeeze together shamefully.
✩-The way her shoulders tensed was all Matt needed to know, a small chuckle leaving his lips as he ran a hand down his jaw. “Not so innocent, huh?” Her eyes narrowed in defiance, shooting him a small glare. “Do I look innocent?” Matt shrugged carelessly, the diamond pierced through his ear glimmering with a gentle shine as he looked off. “Look, yes. Inside ..” Lifting a brow, Matt’s lips tipped up. “Not for a second.” Like he would know, the girl thought to herself.
✯- Rolling her eyes playfully, a hand ran through her tangled hair with a sigh. “Yeah, because you’re inside me.” She says in a sarcastic manner, eyes widening as she realized what she’d actually said. Her hand halted from its place in her hair as she blanked. Oh my god - cheeks going red, she blew out a breathy laugh. “that is not what I meant -all I was saying was,” Matt listened patiently as she rambled, hooded gaze glued on her as she waved her hands around, making excuses for the silly slip up she’d made.
✩-Physically, innocence practically radiated off of the girl. The pink converse with frilled socks, a little skirt that often rid up her lustrous thighs, sending Matt into a whirlwind of arousal. Though, under all of the ribbons and pearly little bracelets, the sinful persona she hid under the faux innocent facade came eye to eye with the male. Did she think he was oblivious to it? Or maybe she knew, and was being a cute little tease.
✯-Shocked from his daze, Matt looked up as a book was plopped down onto the counter with a thud. The Love Hypothesis, he read, eyes that held a curious glint lifting to meet the girl’s timid one’s. “And what’s this?” He drawled out, watching as she girl offered a little shrug while flicking her eyes away momentarily. “Your recommendation.” So fucking cute. Matt huffed out a small chuckle, placing his hand atop the book. “Well aren’t you a doll?”
✩-The book was a makeshift pedestal for Matt’s larger hand, showcasing the silver glittering rings woven around his slim fingers, and veins that were littered gorgeously over his rough skin. Her heart fluttered with an indescribable warmth, as well as heat coursing through her core at the sight that gave too much attraction. Lifting her eyes to the unknown man, she finally uttered the words. “What’s your name?” She whispered in a melodic note, tilting her head gently.
✯-Flattening his palm onto the hardcover book, he slowly slid it across the counter and into his arm. “Hm..” Tucking his bottom lip into his mouth, he took a step back from the counter with a hidden smirk. “Maybe you’ll find it somewhere in those books you like to read.” Matt murmured, winking playfully as he walked from the gleaming class doors.
✩-And later that evening, just as the last gust of wind swished through the door that now held a CLOSED sign, the girl had found herself unraveling untold stories that made her heart erupt with blooming flowers. Bottom sat on a small stool, and a misplaced book sat in her lap as her palms folded the cover open with a little sigh. Swoop. Just as the book opened, a small paper slipped from dust-cover with ease.
✯-Her eyebrows came together with confusion as she plucked the folded sheet from the floor. ‘This was in the non-fiction isle, right next to a small piece of paper that has my number, which is also non-fiction.’ Corny, she thought, placing her palm over her lips to blow out a breathy giggle. Matt, it signed at the bottom, the name followed by a cheesy smile breaking across the girl’s lips.
✩-Too many more inked stories to come.
Could you write an Older! Eddie x reader that is hurt/comfort to fluff, please?
Hi! Thank you for requesting. I hope this is what you wanted and you enjoy it <3
Too young for a ring
Eddie knew his type was looked down on. He knew that his interest in legal, but young girls was a touchy subject. His friends didn't like it, the strangers on the street gave him looks, and his family never approved. People assumed he liked younger girls based on sex and looks. But he was still a child at heart and women his age wanted to drink wine and do nothing. He didn't want that. He still wanted adventure and to have fun.
Y/N and Eddie have been together for two years and Eddie wanted to bring her to Steve's for Thanksgiving. Eddie moved out of Hawkins after high school but Steve stayed. Eddie didn't get to see him much but he tried for the holidays. He worried about bringing Y/N and knew it would go like it does every time. He'd introduce her, and they'd immediately talk to him about dating young girls. "shouldn't you get someone to settle down with?" It was Steve's favorite question.
"You'll do great!" Eddie encouraged, and his arm was thrown over Y/N's shoulder. Her nervous frame hid closer to him as they walked up to the front door.
Y/N took a deep breath and nodded. Her heart picked up when the door opened. An older man with brown hair and brown eyes stood on the other side with a smile.
"Eddie!" He cheered, Eddie removed himself from Y/N and wrapped his arms around the man. A simple hug was shared before they parted. The man's eyes are on Y/N.
"And you must be Y/N. I'm Steve." He smiled, throwing out his hand. She smiled and shook it gently. He didn't look much older than Eddie. But even then Eddie had a young face. She wouldn't have guessed he was a day over thirty.
Steve welcomed them into his house. His wife set the table as two boys played video games on the couch.
"This is my wife, Trish. " Steve introduced her, both girls sharing a smile.
~~~
Y/N felt as if the dinner went great. Steve's family was wonderful and sweet. Even his sons were kind and talked with her. Trish pulled her aside for a glass of wine. Y/N was used to cheap liquor that Eddie bought. A nice glass of wine was different on her tongue.
Eddie and Steve stepped outside to smoke. Eddie lit his cigarette, knowing the drill. He passed the lighter to Steve as he lit his cigarette.
"Alright. Come on and say it." Eddie said, puffing on his cigarette.
"Eddie," Steve sighed, "when are the young girls going to stop? She's only twenty-two. You are double her age. Don't you want a family? A wife? A real relationship?" He puffed on his cigarette.
"It is a real relationship, Steve." Eddie glared. "Just because she's young, doesn't make our relationship less real. I love her and she loves me. Why isn't that ever enough for you?"
"You say that every time Eddie! That's why. Every girl you've brought to Hawkins. You love her and she loves you. And then you dump her once she wants something more when she wants a ring and a kid. Jackie was the "love of your life" remember? But she turned twenty-six and wanted a family. So you ran." Steve explained. The frustration building over the years.
"Y/N is different." Eddie argued
"Sure she is," Steve scoffed. "Lie all you want but next time you visit, it'll be a new girl." Steve smashed his cigarette in the small ashtray.
~~~
Y/N froze when Steve opened the door, her wet eyes catching his apologetic ones. Steve coughed uncomfortably and walked past. Leaving the couple alone.
"Was he right?" Y/N asked, her voice shaking. She sniffled as she walked outside next to him.
"About what?" Eddie asked.
"Are you going to leave when I start wanting a family? When I'm no longer a young chase for you?"
Eddie's heart broke as she tried not to cry. He sighed sadly and pulled her into his chest.
"No, baby. I've done things like that in the past, the things he said were true. But I mean it when you are different. You are so different. I'm so in love with you, and I've loved you more and more in these past two years." Eddie said, a soft kiss on her forehead as she sniffled in his chest.
"Did you say the same to Jackie?" She asked, she couldn't ignore the feeling in her gut. What if she was just another girl? Would a new girl be standing here in a few years? She wanted a future with Eddie, they talked about a family and a wedding, and they already lived together.
"No. " Eddie said truthfully, "I thought I loved her. And I thought I was in love with her. Steve thinks I run at the mention of a family because I'm scared. But the truth was that with all those girls, I never could see a family with them. I ran away because it wasn't what I wanted. But you..." Eddie trailed off. He pulled himself back, letting go of her. She watched confused as he got down on a knee.
"Eddie?" She asked, her heart pounding as he grabbed her left hand. There was no way he was on his knee, right?
"But with you, I see it all. I see us moving into a new house, I see a wedding with your beautiful dress. I see us having kids, as many as my body can allow at my age." He joked, a laugh escaping her as she held her hand over her mouth. "I want everything with you. And I planned to ask you once we got home. But maybe now is the best time to do it "
She gasped as he reached into his jacket pocket and took out a small black box. Her tears turned into tears of happiness as he opened the box.
"Will you marry me?" He asked, his nerves turning his stomach in knots. He never thought he'd be able to do this. All the girls and women, nothing felt like what this relationship did. No one felt like her.
"YES!" she screamed, her hand shaking. His hand shook as he placed the ring on her finger. He felt relieved once he saw the ring on her finger. He wasn't scared, he didn't feel like it was a mistake. He almost felt like that ring was always meant to be on her finger.
Eddie stood up, she immediately threw herself in his arms. She excitedly laughed as she squeezed him.
Eddie squeezed her back, his face in her neck as he took in the moment.
Eddie knew she was different. He dragged out the truth with all the other girls. He ran the second they wouldn't believe him anymore. But with Y/N he never felt like he wanted to run. He wanted to be by her side every second.
~~~
"Well Steve, looks like you were wrong about this one," Trish said, watching as the couple on their porch shared a kiss.
"I think this is the only time I'm fine with Eddie being right." Steve teased, a smile on his face as he watched the newly engaged couple celebrate.

MHA Mezo Shoji x Reader - Make Believe - I
Summary: You ask Shoji to pretend to be your boyfriend for a dinner with your parents.
Warnings: fluff, fake dating trope, long/multi parted, not proofread
Glancing down at your watch, you fidgetted nervously, standing in the hall awkwardly. 'He's usually on his way to lunch by now,' you thought to yourself, scanning the hordes of students for a particular person. Suddenly, your eyes fell on a messy head of silver hair and your interest piqued. Booking it through the crowd, you finally found who you were looking for. "Shoji!" you chirped, stopping so short in front of him that you nearly smashed into him. "I've been looking all over for you!"
"Oh, sorry," he replied nonchalantly, beginning to walk with you to the lunch room. "Didn't mean to be so hard to find."
"It's okay," you reassured him. "I noticed you weren't in class today and I was worried," you admitted, going alongside him with your hands knotted together behind your back.
"Sorry to worry you," he said, finding a table and sitting down. "I was in the support classroom all morning getting my costume redone." He explained, rummaging through his bag. "Did I miss anything important?"
"You missed a pop quiz in Mic's class, but it's super easy. Oh and you missed a lecture on quirk evolution in science but don't worry," you beamed, producing a packet of papers from your own bag. "I took the liberty of taking extra notes on your behalf!"
Shoji took the notes from you, skimming through them. There were multiple pages, all front and back filled with neat color-coded writing, organized with bullet points. "Wow, these are pretty thorough, this isn't your copy is it?"He asked, still rummaging through his bag with an annoyed sigh.
"Nope!" you chirped, pulling out an identical set of papers. "What are you looking for, by the way?"
Shoji glanced up at you before looking back into his bag. "Oh, just my lunch. Must've forgotten it back in my dorm."
"Today's your lucky day then," you giggle, pulling two bentos out of your bag and handing him one. "I made you lunch!"
He hesitantly took it, eyeing you closely. "What's with you today, why're you being so niced to me?"n he asked suspiciously, poping off the top of the box.
You blushed, averting your gaze quickly, trying to think of an excuse. "What, aren't I always nice to you, Shoji?"
"Well, yeah," he admitted. "But it seems like you're sucking up for something." He punctuated his point by digging a pair of chopsticks into the portion of rice you'd made him before popping it in his mouth. "Damn, this is good, actually."
"Shoji! Did you expect it to be bad?" you ask, feigning hurt. "And thinking I'd be nice to you just to get something in return is honestly just mean!"
"Okay, okay, fine, I'm sorry, thank you for the notes and lunch." He finally relented, throwing his hands up in defense. "How can I repay you?"
"Well..." you begin sheepishly. "There is this one thing-"
"Ah-hah!" Shoji laughed, tossing you a side glare as he ate. "I knew you wanted something." He watched as the blood rushed to your cheeks and you tried to back peddle, beginning to ramble. "C'mon, just spit it out already, what do you need?"
"Would you come home with me to have dinner with my parents tonight?' you finally blurted after beating around the bush.
"What, why me?" he asked, bewildered. "I mean we're good friends and all but wouldn't you rather take a closer friend like Tsu or Ochacko?"
"Well...about that...I was hoping you could...pretend to be my boyfriend?" you ask bashfully, wincing in preparation for rejection.
"Are you serious?" he asked, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I-It's just that, it's my grandmother's birthday and she's sick and we don't think she'll be around much longer. She really wants to see me with someone and I don't want to let her down!" you rambled on, pleading. "Please, Shoji, I promise it's just for the night and I'll do whatever you ask to make it up to you!"
After a moment, he sighed, annoyed. "You already told her you were bringing someone, didn't you?" You nodded, hands clasped together as if praying. "Oh, fine, alright!" he scoffed. "But you owe me."
Gasp, you squeal in delight, throwing your arms around his neck and snuggling into his torso in an awkward but meaningful hug. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!"
"Whatever," he groaned, rolling his eyes, but wrapping you up in his arms all the same. "What time are we leaving?"
"The train leaves at 5:15." you replied as he released you. "So meet me at the station at 5."
"Sounds like a plan."

Could you do a fluff Jamie Tartt imagine where the reader takes care of a drunk Jamie who forgets that they've been dating for months and thinks they're back in their crush phase after they and the boys went out celebrating a win?
Drunk in the Back of the Car (j.t. x fem!reader)
pairing: jamie tartt x fem!reader
word count: 654
warnings: language, alcohol
a/n: here you go love! i hope you like it and requests continue to be open!! (also first time writing for jamie so pls be kind lol)
The early 2000’s pop music blasting through the speakers was about to make your brain explode. The boys were celebrating a great victory in their match earlier that day and had all decided to crash this club that Colin had found. The flashing lights and sticky floors were slightly off-putting but the boys just wanted to celebrate and Jamie had insisted you came along too. Keeley and Roy were somewhere, probably at a table stuffed in a corner as Roy hated anyone spotting him. Isaac immediately bought a round of drinks upon entry and thus started the flow of alcohol. You were just glad that you and Jamie had agreed that you would drive home so he could properly celebrate.
Speaking of your boyfriend, he was nowhere to be seen. A group of you had been gathered in front of the bar, chatting and drinking and dancing- though somewhat badly- and then as the night aged on and people found different things that piqued their interests, the group dispersed into smaller groups across the club. You were clumped together with Colin and Sam, chatting about the opposing team from the earlier match, while Colin interspersed some lyrics from the rap songs that were playing overhead. While laughing at Colin doing this weird dance while rapping, you felt a tap on your shoulder.
“Your boyfriend is smashed,” Roy commented as he held Jamie under his arms. He was clearly having a hard time standing on his own and it seemed like Roy had dragged him from wherever they were previously stationed.
“I’m fine grandad,” Jamie retorted, though slurred and he clearly had to put a lot of thought into the short sentence.
“I’ll take him,” you smiled at Roy, silently thanking him for making sure Jamie got back to you. He nodded and passed Jamie over to you before he walked off, probably going back to find Keeley again. You grabbed one of Jamie’s arms and threw it over your shoulders, leaning his weight into you. “Looks like I’d better get this one home. Enjoy the rest of your night lads”. Sam and Colin say their goodbyes before going to find the other boys.
“Woah, you better be careful there. I’ve got a girlfriend and I don’t think she’d like you touching me like this,” Jamie tries to stand up straighter to get away from you, but almost immediately tips back over.
“I am your girlfriend,” you laugh.
“No way,” Jamie says quietly, in an ‘I can’t believe it’ type of way.
“Come on Jams, let’s get you home”.
Despite the copious amounts of effort it took to get Jamie through your front door- which included him almost throwing up in the back seat of your car- you finally got him in bed in a semi-comfortable position. Once you were sure he wasn’t going to throw up in the bed, at least long enough for you to get ready for bed, you headed to the bathroom to take your makeup off and change out of your clubbing outfit.
“Y/N?” You heard Jamie call from the bed.
“Yes love?” you question, sticking your head out of the bathroom doorway.
“How’d you get into my house?”
“I have a key Jams,” you laugh.
“Did I give you that?” He tilts his head.
“How sloshed did you get Jamie?” You move closer to him, sitting down next to him on the bed.
“Oh my god I’ve got Y/N in my bed,” he whispers more to himself.
“I’ve been sharing a bed with you for the past two months, love,” you remind him, moving his hair away from his sticky forehead.
“Holy shit, no way,” he mutters before passing out again. You laugh at his antics and go back to the bathroom, finishing your nighttime routine before grabbing some water and aspirin for the morning. You were so going to make fun of him tomorrow for this.

the weekly parties at blackmore university were one of the wonderful benefits of being a college freshman. you weren’t new to parties, but as a freshman you were newly introduced and instantly gained interest.
loud music was playing, and you could smell alcohol and perspiration in the air. normally, you would have felt repulsed by it and cringed. but you were preoccupied with seeing what was happening in front of you.
chad, your boyfriend, was talking to one of the girls that cheered for his football team. the girl seemed to be getting a little touchy, her hand on his bicep.
“easy there, tiger.” mindy from your right spoke, watching your anger remain the same as you paid no attention to her. “your spilling your drink over there.” anika added, taking the drink from your hand and pouring it out into the sink near you, “she’s not even listening to me.” she mumbled. warning a cackle from mindy.
you watched as chad smiled and looked around. you, being petty, turned your head toward mindy so he couldn’t find you. if he wanted to flirt with other girls, he can’t just come find you as a backup after. you knew that wasn’t actually how he was thinking, he was probably unaware and searching for you, but you didn’t care.
mindy rolled her eyes at you and threw away your smashed drinking cup, turning to you and looking you directly in the eye. she waved a hand over your face, “earth to y/n.”
you finally snapped out of your angry trance and looked at her, slightly. “what?” anika laughed and wrapped her arm around mindy, who’s as slightly tipsy. “why are you about to start rage crying?”
you shook your head, trying to forget all the hateful feelings you'd just gotten toward the cheerleader who obviously knew you and chad were together. you and chad literally had matching costumes, for god sake. however, his was just a little sluttier than yours. part of you wanted to be petty and change that. a deftones song started playing, you took that as your sign to go cause some chaos.
you turned to the two girls, giving them a small thank you. they both shared a confused laugh and watched you run away and out of the room.
you quickly went to your dorm, which was only down the hallway, and looked through your closet. you smiled when you found the top your roommate, tara had given you.
you smiled and took off your tank top that once fully covered your body, now replacing it with the skimpy top from tara.
chad hadn’t seen your costume on you yet, let alone you. you showed him the costume itself, but not on you, so he was in for a little surprise after your change due to your pettiness.
your skimpy top from tara consisted of cloth the length of your bra, practically a bikini top, as it tied around your back and purposefully showed your cleavage. you decided to keep your tiny midi skirt on, cuffing it up a bit and looking at yourself in the mirror.
you smiled at yourself before taking a mirror selfie, grabbing your phone and exiting the room, feeling much more confident than you did before. it was fun being petty.
you made your way down the hall and back into the party room, feeling in your element as you saw a table with multiple alcohol bottles. you grabbed two full, unopened bottles of liquor and brought them to where your friends were.
around you was tara, mindy, anika, wes, ethan, quinn, and some other people you didn't know the names of. chad was no where to be seen.
you tried not to let that bother you, as you approached, earning loud whistles and howls from your group of friends.
"oh my god, who are you?" tara asked with a huge smile, covering her mouth, pretending to be in shock. you shrugged and smiled, hearing the music and starting to dance, moving your hips from side to side.
you set both of the bottles down onto the table and looked at your friends, using your finger to decided which friend you wanted. you started swaying and looked at all of them, "someone get the fuck up and come dance with me!"
tara was the first to stand up, her bandana on her head slightly falling, making anika and mindy giggle to each other.
mindy mumbled to anika, "watch, when chad comes back he's gonna see them twerking on the dance floor." she said, jokingly as she watched the two girls start swaying their hips and grinding on each other to waka flocka flame.
anika turned to her girlfriend, "ten bucks they have angry sex tonight." holding her hand out, she watched as mindy's expression changed to sour.
mindy's eyes widened and she turned to to anika, "ew, anika, i don't wanna think about my twin brother angrily banging his girlfriend!" mindy stopped and rolled her eyes, putting her hand to anika's, "deal."
meanwhile, you and tara were grinding on each other on the dance floor, not taking notice of anybody around you, until tara spotted a certain cowboy from the corner of her eye.
she stopped, and tapped your shoulder, music too loud to hear her words so she brought her hand and lips to your ear, “chad’s eyeing you, on your right.” she whispered somewhat discreetly, and you waited a second and caught a glimpse of your right.
you noticed chad’s usually happy, handsome expression, but watching as it fell, and his adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed his spit. his gulp was hard to miss and you continued watching his eyes as they skimmed down your body. his eye twitched, almost making you giggle. he was basically eye-fucking you.
he didn’t even notice your gaze until he snapped out of his trance, looking at you with wide eyes. however, you did nothing about it. just smiled and blew him a kiss. you didn’t even see what he did after that because you went back for dancing with tara.
but, boy, did you have a hold on him.
the rest of the hour you didn’t even bat an eye at chad, no matter how many countless times he tried getting your attention, you ignored it.
now, you were sat on a couch, surrounded by your friend group discussing what ever the hell came to mind.
chad, on the other hand, was no where to be seen. you obviously cared for him, but in that moment you let your petty wife take over and would figure out where he went, later.
“this party is kinda boring, let’s amp it up a little bit. tara, truth or dare, girl?” mindy, who was half drunk, spoke, her words slurring together as anika laughed at her side.
tara placed her head in her hands, pretending to think for a minute before answering, “dare, duh.”
mindy and anima turned to each other and discussed for a second, as if they didn’t already have a dare in mind.
“i,” mindy started, but anika interrupted, “not her, we,” mindy rolled her eyes and corrected herself, purposely over exaggerating it, “WE, dare you to make out with ethan.”
you couldn’t help but laugh as you watched the brunette boy’s eyes widen, like a deer in headlights who was just taken aback. ethan swallowed hard, looking at tara, who was eyeing him like a snack she wanted to devour.
the situation made you laugh, as tara stood up and walked over to ethan. mindy and anika shared looks, as tara bent down to whisper into ethan’s ear. everyone watched carefully, and with a nod of ethan’s head, tara smashed her lips onto his and straddled him.
mindy gasped, watching the two horny teens brawl it out with their tongues, “holy shit! i was not expecting that!”
everyone howled and cheered, laughing along. you couldn’t help but cheer and laugh too, your best friend was making out with your boyfriends best friend.
speaking of your boyfriend, where was he?
you removed your eyes from the two horny teens and searched around the room, looking for the gorgeous man you call yours, but he was no where to be seen. you checked your phone, no text messages from him either.
you tried to think nothing of it, but your mind kept slipping every little while as the truth or dare game continued.
after a painful two minutes of tara and ethan’s kiss, tara hopped off of him, wiping her mouth. you giggled when you saw ethan’s mouth area smeared with shiny, sparkly lip gloss.
tara sat back in her seat next to you like nothing happened. she turned to anika, “anika, truth or dare.”
anika laughed, “after seeing all that i’m saying truth.”
mindy gasped, placing her hand on her heart, pretending to be offended. “you don’t wanna aggressively make out with me as a dare?” she spoke quickly.
she looked at her girlfriend as if she had betrayed her. anika couldn’t help but laugh even more, “we can do that any other time, my love.”
tara cleared her throat before questioning the couple. “kiss marry kill, this group right here, plus chad, not including mindy.” your lips pursed at the mentions of chad, watching as anika’s shot you a look and her face changed.
“not my twin!” mindy whined. anika rolled her eyes and thought for a moment.
“well, i’ll start off with y/n,” mindy’s mouth fell open as if she wasn’t expecting that, anika began explaining herself, “she knows how to deal with a meeks-martin twin and that takes some serious commitment, so, i’d marry her.”
mindy rolled her eyes as anika continued speaking, “kiss wes,” as soon as those words left anika’s mouth mindy gasped. “what?!”
anika giggled and continued, “i’ve seen how wes treats his girlfriend, very gentlemanly. i respect that.” anika’s words made wes smile shyly from the corner.
“aaaand, i’d kill ethan. no reasoning really i just know him the least out of everybody, no hard feelings, kid.” ethan shrugged.
ethan had no clue what anika had just said but he still nodded. poor boy was still replaying his kiss with tara in his tipsy mind.
anika smiled and started looking at her potential candidates for the question she was about to ask, but then noticed an absence. “where’s chad?”
anika looked at you, which you shrugged. “i haven’t really talked to him sense i came back, matter of fact i haven’t really spoke to him at all, tonight.”
anika’s eyebrows raised, but she stopped and her face changed, from a confused frown to a sneaky smirk. “i see what’s going on here.”
you, had no idea what the fuck she was talking about. “what are you talking about, anika?”anika and mindy shared a sneaky look as anika continued her words.
“you saw chad talking to a girl and got jealous, then went and changed into something,” anika used to her hand to gesture to your new outfit, “obviously sexier, chad saw you, and now he’s is no where to be seen? i know what’s going on, here, missy.” anika spoke like a fourty year old mother.
you were still confused as ever, so mindy rolled her eyes and stepped in, literally, she almost fell over.
“chad’s probably either off trying to make you jealous, or he thought you looked to hot in that costume and couldn’t contain his sexual urges.”
mindy gagged at her own sentence, “i’m never speaking about my brother like that again.” she mumbled under her breath, earning a slap in the shoulder from anika, to which mindy whined at.
your mouth fell open and you laughed, “i-“ you went to speak but didn’t really know what you wanted to say.
“i- i don’t know?” you said with a laugh, watching anika and mindy as they smirked at each other, “i should probably go find him, though, i’m worried, he’s not answering my texts.”
they nodded as you stood, slipping your phone back into your purse. the group blew you kisses goodbye and you left the living room in search of your boyfriend.
you went into the kitchen, looking for chad but finding some juice boxes in mindy and anika’s fridge instead and snatching one for yourself.
you struggled to punch the straw through the hole, and heard a laugh from behind you.
your turned and saw this guy from your econ class, dressed as what looked like a witch, walking up to you and putting his hands out. “ do you need help with that?”
his british accent was faint, you didn’t remember him having one, let alone him in general, but you asked no further questions. “sure, thank you.”
the guy opened the juice box using the straw with ease, and smiled down at you as he handed it back.
“i’m foster, by the way,” he spoke, smiling.
it was almost as if his teeth had that toothpaste commercial shine and you couldn’t help but notice how white and perfect his teeth were.
he put out his hand, and after a few seconds of debating you shook it, giving him an awkward smiling before looking around you.
“foster it was nice speaking to you, but i really need to find my boyfriend,” you said, emphasizing the word boyfriend and watching as his face changed.
he threw his hands up as a defensive, “oh, i’m sorry, please resume whatever you were doing, my lady,” he noticed the weird look you gave him and went to explain himself.
“sorry if i’m coming strong, i’m like really gay, and kind of drunk.”
tou laughed at that and tapped his shoulder when you spotted a certain buff cowboy over his shoulder across the room. “no problem foster, it was nice speaking to you, i’ll see you in class, tomorrow.”
and with that you said no other words to the witch, walking over to your boyfriend.
however, you stopped about halfway, noticing a drink in his hand, and a short, pretty blonde girl in front of him.
she was laughing at something he said. you rolled your eyes, knowing damn well your boyfriend wasn’t that funny.
you set your juice box down on the counter and walked over to the two. your boyfriend noticed as you got closer but the girl purposely paid no attention to you.
chad saw you and his face lit up, "hi y/n!" he spoke lightly, almost innocently, as if he had no clue in the world what that girl wanted from him.
you grabbed his hand and turned to the blonde cheerleader in front of him, shooting her the dirtiest look you could gather, "if you excuse me, sweetie, my boyfriend and i are gonna go have sex, now, so," you spat.
you watched as her face changed to a disgusted, but annoyed look. you shooed her along before dragging chad up the stairs.
chad started questioning you as you practically yanked him.
"baby, what's wrong?"
"hello?"
"y/n, are you okay?"
"where are you taking me?"
"why were you so mean to her?"
that last question really bursted your little bubble of anger, as you brought him inside a clean, empty room and slammed the door behind the both of you. you turned to him, jaw clenched, and your eyes heavy. not from tiredness, but from anger. you didn't even know that was possible.
“you’re really going to ask that right now?”
your words sent chad into a regretful trance, trying desperately to figure out what could be so wrong with him talking to another girl, let alone a stereotypical beauty queen.
there was no way he was that naive to not know how bad that girl wanted him, how badly she craved to be in your spot. but she couldn’t, you would never let that happen. and until today you always thought chad would fight the girls off. he was either extremely stupid, or just wanted a good rise out of you.
“i guess?” chad’s tone broke due to his obvious voice crack. however, he cleared his throat and repeated himself more confidently. “i guess.”
you couldn’t help but roll your eyes, the frustration building up in your body as your mind replayed the scene over and over again. she was touching his arm, laughing at all his stupid, unfunny jokes. looking at him the same way you did when he first dropped to his knees for you.
“you guess? what the fuck does that even mean?” chad’s eyes widened and his face filled with anger, matching your expression.
“it means that i didn’t know what the hell she wanted! not every girl has bad intentions! maybe she just wanted a friend!”
you watched as he spoke, his eyes changing, his hands flailing as a shivered from his own words. chad could’ve spotted your anger from a mile away if he really chose to focus on it, but he didn’t. and that was the problem.
he wasn’t as naive and stupid as you claimed for him to be, he just didn’t take the time to realize what was wrong and how it could’ve affected you.
but he still was a little dumb, especially when it came to other girls.
“she wanted you the same way i do, chad, you’re fucking stupid if you can’t see that!”
it wasn’t your intention to get so vile with your words, practically shouting them in his face, while all he could do was watch.
chad’s jaw clenched, and he swallowed thickly. “i am not stupid.” he spat through his teeth, his words slightly muffled.
your heavy breathing started to slow down as you closed your eyes and turned around, placing two of your hands on your head in attempt to control your anger. you swallowed, your pants now simple breaths.
to him, your eyes felt like newly sharpened daggers, his eyes watched your movements carefully, trying not to get cut.
he didn’t move a muscle, eyes tracing you as you slowly, turned back around, eyes meeting his and he could see the real amount of anger displayed on your usual timid face.
“if you’re not stupid,” you started, speaking slower than before but with the same amount of anger. “how couldn’t you tell that girl wanted you?”
before you continued, you laughed a little.
it wasn’t a joyful one, it was a feeling or betrayal. overall the situation wasn’t that serious, but you felt as if he was disobeying you, disrespecting you, in any way he could just to get into your pants.
chad kept up with his defense from before, “she doesn’t want me, y/n.” his words were firm, possible to send the feeling of daggers straight through your heart.
you sighed, a frustrated smile appearing on your face. you began laughing, not too much, but slightly. chad watched as your maniac behavior continued, his eyes following your limp body as you almost curled into a ball, wanting for him to just understand but he was to naive to be able.
“whatever, chad.”
was all you said. he felt his heart hurt a little. he wish he could’ve went back and tried to be more understanding, but what was said was already out and processed, so he could do nothing but try to fix it. you sat down onto the empty bed, head in your hands as you took deep breaths to try and contain your anger from bursting out.
he cleared his throat. “don’t whatever, me.” was all he said. his voice still babbling with anger; he hadn’t taken the time to contain it like you were attempting.
he watched as you stayed there, not moving, so he spoke again. “i said,” he spoke, louder than last time. “don’t whatever, me.” in any other moment you would’ve been laughing at his stupid use of grammar, but at this moment, you were more focused on his tone, and how he was talking to you.
you stood up quickly and walked toward him, standing up for yourself as you were only a foot away from him.
“chad, i’ll whatever whoever the hell i want! apparently it doesn’t matter to you, what if i was out there flirting with some white boy? wouldn’t make you feel the best would it?” the shouting apparently wasn’t over, you shouted that whole statement. chad’s jaw clenched once more.
“no, i guess i wouldn’t but i wouldn’t be mad at you cause of it! it wouldn’t be your fault!” he yelled, defending himself.
your eyes practically rolled themselves, “yes it would be! because i would be letting him think that he has a chance! if i really loved you, i would walk the fuck away, and try to find you! that’s exactly what i would do! and i did!”
chad’s face was angry until the last part of your sentence. his face filled with jealous, he asked, “what?!”
you sighed, and threw your hands up, “this guy was talking to me! i showed no interest in him and walked. the fuck. away. it’s not that difficult if you’re really invested in someone else, chad!”
his jaw clenched even tighter, blowing aggressive air out of his nostrils as he just stared you down. he watched, debating what to say, as if he was trying to hold himself back from saying something he’d regret.
“you don’t always have to be such a bitch.”
those words sent you over the edge, you lunged forward and slapped his face, hard. it was unintentional, the slap just kind of happened. you realized what you did after and your eyes widened, but then remembered what he said, and anger and guilt washed over your gorgeous face.
chad’s cowboy hat fell off of his head and to his back, the tiny string holding on to his neck as chad traced the slightly red finger prints with his fingers.
chad blew out some air, through his nose and his clenched teeth, as he watched you again, thinking of what to say next.
“that cheerleader wouldn’t have slapped me.”
you examined his face carefully, looking deep into his eyes, seeing lust now overtaking his anger. you swallowed and slapped his face again, this time, lighter but still firmly, and on the other side.
you watched a rush of excitement rush through his eyes, he almost smiled after you slapped him. his mouth fell open and he rubbed his red cheek, he was almost in awe. he didn’t even have to say more, you lightly tapped his cheek again.
chad sucked in a quick breath. you couldn’t help but smile, watching as his face looked desperate as ever.
chad went to speak again but you grabbed him by his throat, bringing him closer to you, and making him crouch down so his head was now slightly below yours.
his eyes looked up at you submissively, longing for more of your touch and you couldn’t help but watch, and almost laugh at how pathetic and cute he looked at the same time. chad swallowed, adam’s apple bobbing, tickling your hand.
the way your eyes shot down at him almost made him cum right there. you looked gorgeous, especially when your mind filled with thoughts of dominating him until he can’t take it anymore.
he almost whimpered, as you brought him to his knees, and he immediately broke when you let go of his neck.
“please,” he spoke, quietly, as if he was embarrassed of the position he was in. you lightly stroked his hair before yanking it back, so he looked up at you.
you cleared your throat, “please, what? speak louder.”
your mean tone turned him on even more, he felt his stomach flutter full with butterflies. chad whined once more. you let free of your grip on his hair and his body collapsed to the ground. his hands on the floor, as if he was praising you, he avoided eye contact and started rambling little words.
“please, m- mommy, i’m sorry, i’m so so sorry, for everything i said, how can i- how can i make it up to you? i- i’ll do anything, please,”
you listened to his words carefully, hearing his voice cracks that made it more pathetic, making it more genuine.
you swallowed hard, it was kind of difficult to stay composed when your big, buff, 6’3, boyfriend was on his knees begging for your forgiveness. he was so submissive when he wanted to be, and you loved it.
“come on, baby, on the bed, i’ll help you out.”
his pulse skipped a beat when your hands touched his chest, and he immediately stood up after hearing your words. he sat on the bed as you drew nearer to him, his eyes following you. he exhaled deeply as you passionately kissed his soft lips.
after looking in chad's eyes for any signs of pain as you withdrew, to which you found none, you placed your lips against his once more.
chad sighed into the kiss, his ferocious cravings finally sated, and he felt himself growing more and more horny by the second just from the sensation of your lips on his.
he wanted you, bad.
he couldn’t help but whimper as your hands continually roamed down his muscular frame, fingernails trailing his abs making him squirm, and moan into your mouth, your lips disconnected and he sweared under his breath, trying not to loose it at the thought of you pleasing him.
“sense you said some mean things to mommy, mommy’s not gonna be nice tonight,” you spoke, watching his eyes widen as he slowly nodded.
your eyes darted to his, watching his face comfort into pure pleasure as your hands smoothly roamed down his body.
his mouth remained closed as he moaned, the comfortable sensation of your body warming his, he bit his lip and his head fell back onto the bed. you lifted your hips, noticing the small wet spot on his jeans, his belt rubbing against your clit and your body collapsed onto his.
“look who can’t handle themselves, now,” chad spat in between his moans, earning a hard slap to his face.
chad moaned loudly, digging the back of his head into the comforter, as you kept moving your hips across his. “that feel good, honey, yeah?” you purred, lowering your body heat to mix with his.
chad whimpered, roaming his hands along your body, to which you flinched. “nuh-uh-uh.” you said, grabbing his hands and pinning them above his head.
your hips started to slow, back arching as his belt “you’ve been a bad boy, chad, tonight, i’m punishing you.” you carefully grabbed his shirt, and yanked him closer to you, “that means, no touching me, no seeing me, no complaining. you got yourself into this.” you let go of his shirt and shoved him back on the bed.
you got off of his lap, walking over to the nightstand in the spare bedroom, chad’s eyes widened as you pulled out a pair blue fuzzy handcuffs, and a black handkerchief.
chad could practically imagine the thought, and he almost came there as you began to tie his hands to the bed.
“listen mommy, i’m so sorry-” he spoke, looking up at you, as you shut him up by shoving your pointer and middle fingers down his throat. “i don’t care if you’re sorry. what’s done is done, now stop complaining or it’ll just get worse for you, my love.”
you finished tying his hands to the bed, and slowly straddled his body again, slowly and purposefully reaching past him so your hips rubbed against his, chad moaned once again, bucking his hips as he became a mess underneath you.
“oh, fuck,” chad whispered as you blocked his vision and tied the cloth around his eyes. chad was a moaning and whimpering mess, he couldn’t form words as the thought of you having full control over him and his pleasure.
he flinched when he felt your cold hands trail down his chest, slowly roaming closer to his lower half as you stopped right before and fiddled with his belt.
you easily took it off, and tossed it across the room. your nails lightly trailed along his chest, sending shivers down his spine. you slowly unbuttoned his jeans, pulling them down in a teasingly slow manner.
“mommy, please,” he whined, bucking his hips. you pushed his hips right back down. “shut it, slut. you’re under my control tonight.”
chad moaned loudly and squirmed, “yes- yes i am. i’m sorry mommy, your touch just makes me so hard, i can’t handle it.”
you watched as his body trembled, drops of precum leaking through his boxers. he moaned and whined, unable to handle your teasing no matter how much he tried.
your nails grazed along his clothed dick, specifically the tip, watching as his mouth fall open as gasps and profanities spilled out.
he was so whiny.
“mmm, mommy, mommy, please. i’ll do anything for you to touch me, anything,” his words progressively got louder as you grabbed his dick, and squeezed.
“oh, fuck!” he shouted aggressively. you quickly smacked your hand over his mouth with your free hand.
on his end, it felt like time froze because he spilled a small loud into his boxers, moaning and panting into your hand, while the other was now pulsating his throbbing dick, drips of cum running down your finger.
“you must be desperate, huh?” you spoke, watching as he fell apart under your touch. he nodded, his worlds muffled. you
picked out a yes and gripped his dick harder.
his hips bucked and he whined, "oh yeah? oh yeah? you want it, chad? you want my hands pumping you?" chad physically trembled, nodding and continuing to moan louder in your hands.
you brought your hand from his mouth, eager to hear what he had to say.
“yes, mommy, i want it so bad!" you noticed his eyebrows furrowing, and you couldn't even see his eyes but you knew he had that desperate look under that cloth.
you slowly pulled down his boxers, letting them fall to his ankles before you got up and tossed them across the room. he was now fully naked, compared to you, who still had your tiny amount of clothing on.
you left his lap, and sat as his side watching as he trembled in his own from the loss of your touch on his soft skin. you watched his hips buck, he was non-verbally asking you to touch him.
you slowly trailed his thigh, watching his chest rise up and down, his pants turned to whines as he was unable to control himself anymore.
chad felt his eyes flutter shut when you grabbed his bare dick, squeezing it and giving no time before you began stroking him. he whimpered as you hand moved.
chad’s lower body went numb, the feeling of your hands on him after a long day of meaningful teasing he was still rock hard and had already came once.
chad soaked up every ounce of pleasure you gave him, and showed you love by the beautiful sounds he was making. you brought your lips to his ear, your left hand stroking him as your right grasped at the back of his neck.
“you’re doing so good, baby,” you whispered, to which he replied with an pornographic moan.
chad’s head fell against the backboard of the bed, squirming and feeling his hands squirm and flinch against the handcuffs.
the loss of his vision really turned him on, his sense were tingling, your whispers made it hard for him to last longer, and you took that to your advantage.
your left hand continued to stroke him up and down, his moans slowly going from deep toned to high pitched. his hands gnawed at the bedsheets, getting sent into a pre-orgasm trance as he started to see white in his vision.
“fuck, angel,” he moaned, his tone higher than normal, “keep doing that and i’m gonna cum so fucking hard.” he said, aggression on his profanity.
“mmm, yea? yea? you gonna cum? just for mommy? you gonna come right in mommy’s hand, make a big mess for me?” you taunted in his ear, kissing and nipping at his neck.
you knew exactly where his sweet spot was, you trailed a finger over it before going in and sucking it like you were a vampire thirsty for skin and blood.
chad began moving and moaning, his hips bucking as your speed around his throbbing cock quickened, his mouth fell open and he couldn’t help but squirm inside the handcuffs.
chad was about to speak but stopped and just moaned, over and over again, progressively getting louder.
the fire inside of him was burning and he was ready to let go, but he didn’t want to disobey his mommy again so he brought up the courage to form words for you.
“mommy momma mommas please, please let me cum. please, i’ll be so good, i’ve been so good, i’m so sorry, ill never speak to that girl again, momma please. i need it, i need you.” he rambled, and you just laughed at him.
“you’re fucking pathetic. you’ve been such a bad boy today, so be a good boy and cum for me, cum for me now or you’re not coming at all tonight.” your aggression in your words made chad almost scream, bucking his hips as his load spilled all over his chest, legs, and basically drenched your hand.
“atta boy,” you mumbled in his ear, earning a high pitched whimper. when he came down from his high, you removed your hand from his dick, and brought one of your fingers to his mouth. “open.”
chad’s eagerly opened his mouth and you shoved your fingers down his throat, his soft lips wrapped around them and he moaned as you spoke once more.
“you taste good, huh, honey?” you said, shoving your fingers to the back of his throat then removing them and wrapped them around his dick once more.
you continued to pump him up and down, watching as he physically became overstimulated and couldn’t function right or form any words to stop you. he could take it.
“yeah, come on angel, give me one more. i know you have it in you, do it for mommy.” you whispered in his ear.
you nibbled at his earlobe and watching as he let out one long, extremely loud moan as he spilled out the last of his cum, his mind went dumb and all he wanted was to grasp onto you for comfort.
he trembled and the last drops spilt out, and once he gained his consciousness of what just happened he quickly answered.
“oh my fucking god, thank you so much mommy. thank you so much,” he continued to thank you as you shimmied the cloth off his face, and let it hang at his neck.
you bit your lip and stared at him before taking off the cuffs. you straddled him and took off both sets of handcuffs, throwing those across the room too.
“you’re so pretty baby,” you said with a smile, cupping his face and feeling his white substance stick on your thighs. chad rolled his eyes, “don’t do that again, it hurts from being hard all day.” he spoke, making you both laugh.
you both smiled and you kissed all over and around his face. “as much as i loved seeing you fully under my control, i missed watching your handsome face. let’s get you a bath, baby.”

Do you ever just have your brain turned to absolute mush by a character and then you hear a concept and then your brain just smashes the two together for no apparent reason? Yeah.
Behold my first completed and published """"work"""" in years:
Imagine being a manager at a strip club, where Anselm only has eyes for you
warnings: inaccurate depiction of sex work, mention of public sex, me being out of practice/bad at writing, possible poor characterization of Anselm bc he's so hard to hear and there's so little to go off of
Special thanks to all the Moon Knight/Oscar Isaac writers on Tumblr who introduced me to him, especially @iolaussharpe-24
Anselm is bored one day and goes to a strip club with his men
He’s not really into the strippers
You’re like the handler? Of the girls. You’re not in charge but it’s your job to take care of them - providing them with supplies they need, negotiating services like private dances with clients, roaming the shadows of the club and reporting patrons to security when they engage in untolerated behavior
You notice Anselm hanging back, sipping a drink and politely shoo-ing girls with a wave of his hand, as his men revel in the performances
You knew his type. The way he felt no need for attention in a place designed to give men attention. He was a man who wanted for nothing.
You strike up a conversation with the man
“It’s not often we get one of you in here - someone who’s not interested in the dancers. My girls are the best in the city.”
Anselm had to admit, the club was very high class and the girls were putting on quite a show, but he just wasn’t interested
“I’m a powerful man miss,”
you offered your last name
“Miss L/N. If I wanted women all over me, I would have them. I would have any woman I want.”
He went on. “I simply felt incredibly and uncharacteristically generous tonight and decided to indulge my men.”
He gestured to the group of men, all in black suits, who were crowded around the main stage
You were starting to see dollar signs in the glint of the colored lights as it refracted in his whiskey glass. You were going to turn this man into a regular client
You leaned against the arm of the seat next to him
“That is quite generous of you, but I’m still surprised you’re not having any fun for yourself, even if it’s not with them, Mr?”
“You can call me Anselm.”
“You know watching isn’t cheating, Anselm.” you smiled playfully. There had to be another reason he wasn't throwing money at the girls himself. No one could resist your girls. “I take it you have someone special back at home?”
He grinned, more like a predator bearing its teeth than a smile
“No, I don’t Miss L/N, but like I said…”
He looked you up and down, his gaze lingering on your hips. You’d never seen a man look with so much lust at a woman in a button down shirt and dress pants while in a room full of naked women.
He continued, “I can get anyone I want.”
You tried to move past the comment and make conversation with him. You talked for about an hour. You hadn’t meant to ignore the rest of your job and spend that much time on him, but he was fascinating, in a way. You spent much of the conversation listening to him tell you funny stories about his men and how incompetent they were. His stories were accented by some tangents about his obscure interests, and some remarks about current events in the city, about which he would ask your opinion and listen attentively. Any passerby who didn’t know you might have thought the two of you were on a date - the way you laughed at his anecdotes and seemed intrigued by nearly everything he said. You were caught off guard when the topic shifted to you and he asked you some questions about your work. Even your longest standing, high-class clients had never even thought to get to know the person who supplied their entertainment. It made you suddenly realize you weren’t on a date, and had work to get back to.
You stood, and took a business card from a small case in your pocket
“It’s been lovely chatting with you, Anselm, but I should go and check on the girls.”
“Ah, of course. And likewise, Miss L/N.”
You offered your hand for him to shake, but he just took it lightly in his own for a moment and nodded before letting go.
“I hope we’ll be seeing you and your men back here soon.” you said, and handed him your card.
He tucked it into a pocket on the inside of his suit and patted it gingerly.
“Yes,” he said, “You’ll be hearing from me.”
He called you two weeks later, asking if you offered any in-home services for private parties.
You’d been surprised to hear from him directly. You hadn’t expected him to call at all, and high-rolling clients usually had assistants make such arrangements for them.
You told him the price and the rules, including that some members of your own security would have to be present.
He didn’t hesitate at the price, and said that he would deal with his men himself if they got out of line, though he eventually consented for you to have two of your security staff present “Only because I like you Miss L/N.”
At the party, he again paid no attention to the dancers, or even his guests, and just sat talking with you in a corner, away from the lights but close enough that you could still keep an eye on things
“Are you sure you don’t want a drink?”
He’d asked about three times now, and you again reminded him that you were working and couldn’t
“Well we’ll just have to do something about that, won’t we? How about we get a drink tomorrow, without all these lovely ladies present. You can leave Miss L/N at home; I would like to get to know [your first name].”
“I’ll check her schedule.” you said, keeping your professional tone though you couldn’t fully stop yourself from smiling
“I have a feeling she’ll be free, Miss L/N.”
He rose, and walked behind where you sat, placing a hand on your shoulder. “Like I told you,”
He leaned down until his beard brushed your cheek and you felt his warm breath on your ear as he whispered: “Anyone I want.”
After your first date you couldn’t get enough of him, and he seemed to feel the same, as he hired your girls several more times in the next few months, holding extravagant parties and spending an overwhelming amount of money, seemingly just to spend time with you.
After a few of these parties you made arrangements to take your own car the next time he hired you.
That night you wore a dress that was shorter and had a lower neckline than usual. It was still all black, to keep you out of sight in the shadows.
“The entertainment is here, Mr. Vogelweide.” one of his staff told him
He turned to greet you, but as soon as he saw you he froze. He in-took a sharp breath, his posture straightening, and his mouth opened ever so slightly on its own accord. He rarely got to see you in anything besides your very conservative outfits, which were designed to not pull any attention to yourself that could be going to the dancers.
He placed a hand on the small of your back as he walked you further into his home.
“I didn’t realize clients were allowed to see you like this, Miss L/N.” he said in a hushed tone
“It's only because I like you, Mr. Vogelweide.”
When the last of the girls were leaving, Anselm rose to walk you out, but instead you went to the bar and got a drink.
“I thought you couldn’t drink while you were working.”
“I’m not anymore.”
"You little minx."
From then on, his hands didn't leave your body for the rest of the night
You soon ended up on his lap, instead of your usual place by his side, with his hands roaming your thighs and his face buried in your neck as you played with his hair.
“I hope your other clients… don’t get… this kind of service.” He said, his words punctuated by kisses along your neck
Your hand cupped his cheek, guiding him away from your neck, and smiled, shaking your head before you leaned in to kiss him.
Throughout your career at the club, you’d worked almost every night because you didn’t trust anyone else to watch out for the girls, which left you with little time to spend with Anselm outside of his parties. After he had hired your services a few more times you had eventually been able to convince the owners to promote one of the dancers who wanted the job to be your second. The exorbitant tips that Anselm left after every party didn’t hurt your case.
Now that you had her help, you spent most of your free nights with Anselm. And most of those mornings. And many of your days.
He invited you into his world; his secret kingdom within this city, whose reach stretched throughout the world
When you found out what he did for a living, it didn’t much faze you, and you knew that was because you were so blinded by your love for him. You could deal with the moral implications in hell.
He rarely threw his extravagant parties anymore. He had never much liked the parties themselves, only the woman who came with the hired entertainment.
The few times he did, it was for the thrill of taking you, as you sat on his lap in that shadowy corner that was fully yours now, just like he was. It was where you had spent so many hours in conversation - where he had first given you his heart.
I may get rid of this later and make it better but idk it really made me feel like posting something for once
thanks for reading 😘

what i did for love (jschlatt x reader fic)
chapter 2: new guy
summary: after endless chatter about the so-called "new guy," you finally have a less than ideal run-in with him. word count: ≈2.0k warnings: fem!reader, use of (y/n), kinda angsty later on a/n: hi chat. this chapter is kinda tea so i hope you like it lol song: again and again - the bird and the bee
You never thought you’d be more grateful for a lunch break in your life. The cast had been dismissed for an hour just after running the emotional monologue from the character Paul, which promptly followed your solo dance number. Teching your routine wasn’t too much of a hassle, but the actual choreography was beyond grueling. You were more than ready for a breather.
Surprisingly, Schlatt, during the run, wasn’t a bother at all. You could’ve sworn you caught him glancing at you from the wings at certain points, and you couldn’t say for sure whether or not he had seen any of your solo at all, but during the monologue afterward in which everyone in the cast was offstage save for your castmate Mateo, Schlatt was nowhere to be found.
Not that you had a problem with that, anyway. Hell, you didn’t care what all he fucked off to do as long as you didn’t have to be there for any of it.
Now, you could only do your best to rid your mind of all thoughts related to him as you sat in your dressing room, which you shared with Victoria and two other castmates, Sierra and Lola. Aside from your already established bond with Victoria, you’d taken it upon yourself to build a closer friendship with Sierra and Lola since they played the characters Maggie and Bebe respectively, so naturally you would have to stand near them in the chorus line formation. That was also partially the reason the four of you had been grouped together to share a dressing room, so it was only beneficial for you to have a good rep with both.
The four of you were plopped in a circle on the dressing room floor, accompanied by your other castmates Ari, Mateo, and Dante. All seven of you picked at your lunches, more interested in the conversation at hand than actually eating. However, the topic quickly shifted to the oh so mysterious new guy, and as much as you wanted to shut your brain off than have to listen to speculations about Schlatt, you were also insanely hungry. So, you simply forced yourself to sit there and listen.
That was just like Schlatt, you couldn’t help but think sourly. Always the center of attention, even when he wasn’t in the room.
“Has anyone actually gotten a chance to talk to him yet?” Lola asked, her amber eyes twinkling with curiosity as she scanned the group.
“I accidentally bumped into him after we teched my scene,” Mateo piped up. “He was pretty nice. Apologized to me and all. Even though it was totally my fault.”
“Can I say he’s kinda hot?” Sierra was next to chime in, her silvery voice quickly filling the silence. A quiet laugh promptly rippled through the group, although it took a bit of willpower on your behalf to keep your own from sounding too forced. “Like, respectfully? I’d smash.”
“You’d smash anything that breathes.” Ari, seated behind her on the dressing room counter, nudged her teasingly with his leg.
“Hey, can you blame me? I’ve tried every dating app there is. I’m debating whipping out the last resort any day now.”
“eHarmony?”
“No. Becoming a nun.”
“Okay, but do we know why they brought in someone new so late in the process?” Victoria interrupts. “What happened to the old stagehand? What’s-his-face?”
“Who cares what his name was? He got fired, and good thing.” This heated answer was spat from Dante, who had been cast in the show as the lively tap-dancer Mike. His heavy Brooklyn accent was interwoven through every syllable as he continued, “He was a fuckin’ idiot, not to mention a total dick. Always actin’ like he knew everything, being a shit to Vanja and all. I’m surprised she didn’t kick his ass out sooner. But I heard they put out an open call for someone to fill in for ‘im. Anyone with at least basic knowledge of allat computery shit. I guess that’s how they roped the new guy in. Shat, or whatever he’s called.”
Of course. He made perfect sense for the job. He’d wanted to go into computer science before he’d gone down the rabbit hole of his own career. “Schlatt.” You couldn’t keep the correction from spilling from your lips. You weren’t all too thrilled to discover the way his name still tasted like acid on your tongue.
“Yeah. That.”
“Well, at least he seems nice.” Victoria shrugged. “Upgrade from the last dude.”
“Nice and sexy!” Sierra giggled, earning another nudge from Ari.
Despite yourself, you opened your mouth. You had the insatiable urge to say something, maybe a cryptic, biting remark directed towards Schlatt. Something about how nobody here knew what he was really like, how he was the furthest thing from nice, how he’d ruined everything. However, you were promptly interrupted by a knock on the dressing room door.
“Hello?” Lola called out, craning her neck to snag a better view of the visitor.
The door creaked open, and Lacey poked her head in. Lacey was a petite, curvy girl, her hair tied up in pigtails and extravagant eyeshadow powdered against her lids. She’d been cast as Val, so she figured going over the top in her stage look would fit the character. Nobody had the heart to tell her she looked clownish.
“Just wanted to tell you guys we have five minutes until we’re back,” she explained in her typical squeaky tone, a toothy grin spreading across her lips. “Vanja’s giving us a bit of extra time to get settled, though. She just finished introducing herself to Jay.”
For whatever reason, Lacey first-naming Schlatt created a strange feeling in the pit of your stomach. Nobody ever did that. Not in his circle, anyway. But you couldn’t necessarily fault her for that. She didn’t come from his circle. That was a you problem.
“Thanks, Lacey.” You quickly hopped to your feet, stashing what was left of your lunch back with your belongings. “I’m gonna go to the restroom real quick. Will someone let Vanja know in case I’m not back in time?”
“I got it,” Victoria instantly volunteered, to which you shot her a grateful smile.
“Go piss, girl!” Ari murmured, resulting in a collective snort among the group. He elicited a grin from you, too, but you’re already out the door by the time you clocked it.
___
Wandering through the twisting hallways of the backstage area reminded you of yet another thing you’d never get used to regardless of how long you’d been performing. It never seemed to fully register that the older the theatre, the more historic the building, the dingier the backstage was. And right now, you might as well have been traversing a maze.
All this for a piss.
You couldn’t tell how long it took you to actually locate the bathrooms within the labyrinthine hallways, and you could only imagine that, with your luck, it’d be even longer before you found your way back to the stage. And of course that proved to be true. Before you knew it, you were lost. It wasn’t your fault, you kept telling yourself. This is why you exclusively used the restrooms out in the theatre’s foyer. At least those were easy to find.
“Whoa!”
You were instantly snapped out of your daze as you collided with someone’s larger frame. You stumbled backward from the impact, but whoever you ran into quickly clamped their hands around your biceps to keep you from completely falling on your ass.
“Oh my god, I am so sorry, I-” Your vision refocused, your voice instantly trailing off as you gazed upward at the person before you. Schlatt’s eyes bore into yours, hints of both concern and amusement evident in his gaze. Suddenly, the grip on your arms turned from something relieving to much more revolting.
The corners of his lips tilted upward in the faintest of smiles as he let go of you, stepping back. You could feel his gaze raking over you, taking you in. “Hey, stranger,” he greeted, leaning against the wall beside him.
You wanted to walk away, turn your back on him this instant. But you couldn’t. You felt paralyzed. Rooted to the spot.
“Hi,” you muttered in return.
“How’s it goin’? Been a while, huh?”
“Yep.” No shit, it’s been a while. I never wanted to see you again. “I’ve been fine. Been busy with the show and all.”
“I can imagine. Seems like a lotta work already.”
“It’s Broadway. Of course it is.” Your tone came out a bit more biting than intended. Schlatt quickly seemed to catch on, his brow quirking up in a slight smirk.
“You’re right. Stupid thing of me to say.” He held up his hands in mock surrender. You huffed out a scoff, but it was clearly forced. “Well, uh, hey,” Schlatt tried once more after an awkward silence ensued. “I saw you dance a little bit. From the wings. You did… good.”
“Good, huh?” You folded your arms across your chest, a bit exasperated with how the conversation was going nowhere.
“Yeah. You did good,” he repeated, his eyes still glued to you. It was growing increasingly hard not to shudder under his stare, feeling like prey beneath him. Your stomach churned, and you could practically hear your heart’s frenzied beating within your eardrum. For a moment, he fell quiet once more, and you swore you saw his expression falter. Whatever air of confidence was there before seemed to melt, devolving into something softer, something unreadable… disappointment, maybe? Regret? “You look good, (Y/N).”
It felt like the world stopped at that. You had to fight every fiber within you that wanted to bark out an incredulous laugh. “Really?” you instead asked, bewilderment of his utter audacity clear in your voice. “Is this a joke?”
Schlatt instantly straightened, no longer leaning on the wall. An air of defensiveness flickered over him. “What? Can I not say you look good?”
“Are you actually asking me that?” It shouldn’t have been so easy for him to rile you up, get under your skin.
Schlatt’s lips flattened into a straight line as he heaved a heavy sigh. “(Y/N), come on. Listen, I know these aren’t ideal conditions, but-”
“Like hell they aren’t!” You ran a hand through your hair, feeling like you might as well have been on the brink of tearing every single strand out. “Just stop. Not now. Don’t do this to me.”
“Why not now? Look, we gotta talk at some point.”
“There isn’t anything to talk about. You made things very clear when you decided you were done with me,” you spat. Schlatt opened his mouth to protest, but you quickly interrupted. “Can you please just do me a solid and point me back to the stage? I’ve got more important things to focus on right now than this.”
He stopped dead in his tracks. His usually soft expression was icy, and it was evident by the way his eyes flitted all across your face that he was seriously debating what to do next. However, to your relief, he jerked his head over his shoulder. “Straight ahead behind me. Take a left, up the stairs, take a right. You'll find your way.”
You didn’t wait to say anything more. No sooner did the words escape his lips than you practically bolted past him, reciting the directives he’d given you over and over to occupy your mind. To anyone else in the cast, your exchange with Schlatt would have seemed entirely random. Up until this moment, you two hadn’t interacted once. How could it have bubbled up to this so quickly?
That was something only you and Schlatt knew. The history between you two. And yet, knowing that history like the back of each other’s hands, he still wanted to act like things were normal. He still wanted to try and pass off as if nothing happened. As if everything was fine. Tearing your heart and stomping on it, over and over and over again.
Furiously wiping your eyes as your feet pattered up the staircase he’d guided you to, you couldn’t help but ponder. He was so clearly over everything. Over it enough to feel confident enough to act all casual, anyway.
So why the hell couldn’t you be?

I took notes while playing and I've tried to edit them into something that makes a shred of sense.
Things I like in Veilguard:
Banter can be interrupted, and they'll continue talking. If you repeatedly interrupt, they'll start over from the beginning later on.
The banter also actually made me laugh, especially with certain companion combos. Not always but more often than not.
The companions aren't stuck in their room. You know when someone wants to talk to you or has a cutscene, but you'll also see them hanging out with other companions or just checking out places around the Lighthouse. Makes them feel like actual people with their own stuff going on outside of Rook. But I do wish you could talk to them more. I like bothering my companions. I'm fine with them repeating themselves. Just let me smooch my love interest or chat with my friends and get random flavour text. Is that so much to ask?
I like the orb and smashing enemies in the face with it. I actually prefer it most of the time to using the staff.
Can wear casual clothes instead of armour with no repercussions. Finally, some cute outfits. But not cute enough. Need more. I also miss dying outfits in different colours and dressing up my team.
It's not my fav but it's fine:
I miss being able to smooch my love interest whenever I wanted to. Let me bother everyone more. The romances are fine but I expected more in comparison to previous games.
Everyone hangs out with each other or all together (eat together, bookclub etc) but is Rook even involved? The camping trip scene was so weird. Ferelden is overrun. Where are you going? Why would these two even want to? I could maybe believe Taash being interested because they're adventurous and might be hoping to see a dragon, but even then it's so weird.
Semi related to Taash's personal storyline, I did not appreciate having words put in my Rook's mouth re: her feelings about her gender and I have seen others saying that when they play as an enby Rook it's very "third gender" rather than having any sort of nuance. This is why I'm always hesitant when companies are so proud of being inclusive, it's often so clumsy.
References:
Mage/Templar war was in the South but no one mentions really mentions much about the South. Varric?? Morrigan?? Inquisitor?? There are some letters and a few lines about what's happening but not much. Who got to be Divine, again more of a Southern issue but you think it would come up when talking to Harding or Varric. Drinking from the Well of Sorrrows. Morrigan's son. King Alistair or Grey Warden. Hawke in the Fade. Varric, my man, are we not friends? Harding, you were there even if you were just a scout! Surely you got the hot goss hanging around outside the tavern at all hours.
Surely even people in Tevinter would be talking about how the Inquisitor's old spymaster became the Divine?? Harding sort of mentions it but no one else. The Inquisitor coming along to be like "oh it's a shitshow in the South right now that's why I'm not helping you or trying to find Solas" is so stupid.
The references you do get are fine but some feel strange because they're specific enough for a fan to get them but vague enough to feel pointless because they abandoned the Keep and tracking everyone's choices. I know it's complicated because we've all played the games in a variety of ways but they started it!
I wish we had seen more of the countries. I liked the places we saw and I really enjoyed exploring them, I would have liked to see more though which is a good thing in a way? I wasn't bored by the places we got, more than they were intriguing and I wished to go further. I would have liked to see more of Minrathos outside of Dock Town, for example.
Cameos:
Re: cameos. Dorian's model looks like he got bad cosmetic surgery and veneers. What did they do to you?? However, I also hate how Alistairs looks in Inquisition so maybe I just don't like when they try to update old characters? Morrigan looks fine, but her outfit is ugly. Isabela is fine. Varric and Harding look good.
Are we unable to have cameos of characters (or references), such as Merrill, because the team are blood magic flip-floppers? She knew so much about Eluvians, blood magic, Dalish nonsense etc. She would have been a fantastic edition to the team in Inquistion and in Veilguard but apparently I can't have anything nice.
Romances:
The romances are good but once I picked my person it was weird seeing how Lucanis switched to Neve almost instantly AND how their chemistry was so much better just through banter and listening to their chats. Almost like that's what the writers intended originally and then made Rook an option later? Davrin has a sweet romance and I have heard good things about Emmerich.
Companions:
Still think I should be able to have three people tag along. Yes, it makes them just talk to each other for banter but I liked having three people.
I wish they would bicker more. Some characters are supposed to not like each other (at least for a while) but they really could have leaned into that more. Be meaner. However, saying that some fans couldn't handle Vivienne...
My main issue with all the companions is that they're really good but don't get the chance to be great. I'm assuming because of development issues. Any decent writer would want to make the most of a character. You can see what they wanted to do and what they managed is good. I feel like the writers pulled their punches too much. They could have really leaned into some ideas and expanded on some aspects so much more but didn't. They all needed an extra ten minutes to fully bake.
Taash's personal stuff is fine. It's a little awkward in places but it's nowhere near as awful as people are making it out to be. It's no worse than anyone else's personal storyline or dialogue. A lot of the criticism is over-dramatic HOWEVER I do feel like their struggles were more with their upbringing as the daughter of a strict mother (who says herself that she was never supposed to have that sort of role within the Qun) in Rivain and those two identities cause conflict, and that was really overshadowed. A lot of Taash's struggles with gender make sense when you consider how gender roles function under the Qun (how their mother would have raised them) versus how they are in Rivaini society (what she was exposed to outside of the home). That's not to say they aren't nonbinary otherwise, just that the conflict could have been woven together better.
I also didn't really like the binary choices you were presented with - why do I, a stranger, get to tell any of these people what to do with their lives? I think Rook can have an opinion but there should be a third option for the character to make their own choice, perhaps based on their approval level with you or something to at least feign free will. This felt particularly insensitive when talking to Taash.
I also think some people are forgetting or deliberately ignoring that Taash is not the only lgbt or nonbinary character in the game or the series as a whole.
But, I do also think there are awkward moments (for all the characters too) where I understand what the team was going for but it doesn't quite land right. I would have actually liked a little more focus on what it's like being a qunari in Rivain etc.
Lucanis is supposed to be a big scary mage-killing demon-possessed assassin but once you recruit him he's practically shuffling about in his fuzzy slippers making coffee at 4am. I really like him but I can't help but wish they hadn't sanded down the edges. Having the Crows fight for the little guys is certainly a choice. I would have preferred them go down more of a "these Crows in this particular family think this way" so as not to undermine everything about Zevran.
Other thoughts:
It feels like the backgrounds don't really matter, they're not referenced much anyway. I was a veil jumper so you'd think Bellara would want to chat to me about that sort of thing more but no, not really. Same with race choices. It does come up but not as much as I had hoped. I also miss the tension between races, backgrounds etc. Why am I, a Dalish elf, wandering around Minrathos unchallenged?
Where's Meredith??? We had that final shot in the animated series but that's it???
What happened to Solas' agents and the uprising? I know years have passed but you'd think there's been more turmoil considering 1. the gods are real and 2. they suck
TL;DR
I had a great time playing, and it was really fun. I actually really enjoyed the finale and the game overall. But, I am concerned that this was essentially a soft reboot and so now what? What about everything we did before? What about all those other characters we cared about?
I also think I got lucky by choosing to have my Solavellan Inquisitor and romancing Davrin, just judging my chatter online.
I think if they didn't want those choices to matter then they should have had this game hav a protagonist who has no connection to Southern Thedas at all. No Varric or Harding. Have them being a literal nobody who doesn't know anything about what's going on outside of what they've directly experienced or it's very vague. They were affected by Solas' actions. They're an elf who was an agent until they realised what he was doing. Something. I just... if you don't want to make a game where choices matter then you shouldn't be working on Dragon Age. You should make something new. This was always Bioware's whole selling point and they've just tossed all that work to one side. Who made that decision?
Imagine if we'd been forced into being a specific character, similar to Hawke in DA2, and had to actually decide whether or not to support Solas as we learned about what he was actually intending to do? Imagine.
Origins still has the strongest writing. DA2 is still my favourite. But I do think Veilguard is a good sequel to Inquisiton. Unfortunately for Bioware, this is the fourth game in a series not the second. As a fourth game, there are some really weird choices. On it's own, it's a really good game. I'm still going to get my partner to play some of it to see what they think as an outsider who only knows about Dragon Age via my chit-chat and reblogging.

Petals (Johnny Cade x Dallas Winston)

both Dally and Johnny are 18+
images taken from Pinterest :)
Johnny didn’t know. But he sensed it.
It was Saturday night. He walked the street alone, heading back to his place. He spent some time with Darry and Two-Bit, mainly watching TV. Since Pony wasn’t home he decided he wouldn’t annoy Curtis with his presence and left, his heart aching from the thought of his parents getting drunk again. He despised it. He despised them.
His mother wasn’t home either, probably wandering somewhere downtown, while his father lay in his room, unconscious from all of the drinking they had done on Friday.
And then, when the clock struck eleven, Dally showed up. The front door opened brusquely, smashing something in its way, making Johnny instinctively jump from his bed. He approached the door, his heart racing, his hands getting sweaty. He was afraid. Afraid it would be one of his father’s friends, reckless, just like him.
Did he feel better seeing Winston standing in the doorframe, trying to pick up the empty bottle of beer, and then smashing it against the wall? Maybe he did. Johnny entered the living room, shushing his friend.
“What?” Dally’s voice was rough and unbalanced. Johnny understood then - Dallas wasn’t in his right mind. Was he ever though? - Johnny thought to himself, snorting, before coming closer to help him get into his room. He didn’t want him to wake up his dad. He could get violent.
“Come.” Johnny took Dally’s left hand, seeing that the right one was loosely holding a fresh-cut bouquet of roses if it could’ve even been called that way. Johnny knew they weren’t for him, probably for Dally’s new girlfriend, but seeing the pinkish petals falling from the sepals on the floor, he guessed that something went wrong between them.
He dragged him towards his room and made him sit on the bed. Dallas seemed to be gone, his face painted with a disheartened grimace as he threw the bouquet on the bed and rubbed his hands together, trying to calm down.
Johnny couldn’t dare to sit beside him. With his heart still abnormally beating, Johnny tried to figure out what state Dallas really was.
“Nasty broad,” Dallas suddenly mumbled, pulling his hair, alarming Johnny, “Fucked Shepard.”
“Which one?” Johnny asked, his hands shaking out of fear. Of course, he was talking about Tim, but Johnny had to make sure.
“What?” Dally looked him dead in the eyes as if he had caught his prey. Anger, deterioration, blazed through his eyes, “What did you say to me?”
“N-Nothing…” Johnny stuttered, taking a step back. But there was nowhere to go. Dallas got up from his bed like a fury and pushed his prey against the wall, his hand wrapping around Cade’s neck, beginning to choke him.
“Curly’s a fucking...*,” only then Johnny saw the red fog surrounding his pupils and reassured himself - Dallas was high, he didn’t mean it. He didn’t mean to grab him like that. He was under substances. “Thought you knew it by now.”
Johnny wanted to laugh to his face, and say meaningless things, but couldn’t. Too afraid of Dally snapping at him, Johnny planned on getting back to his bed, but Dally’s tight grip kept his fantasies far away from reality. He carefully studied Dally’s face, desiring to escape.
He wanted to shout at him ‘Aren’t you one yourself for coming here each time you need comfort’ but he never would actually do it. Johnny lacked pride. There was nothing he could ever do to fix it. Dallas was the one who talked like a piece of shit, not Johnny.
“Dal…you gotta calm down,” Johnny begged him, placing his hand on top of his, trying to remove it.
But he didn’t listen. Instead, Dallas brusquely dragged Johnny to his bed, pushing him on top of it. Johnny trembled like a puppy as Winston stood in front of him, his eyes on fire.
Johnny tried to sit up, but could only lean his elbows on the bed, too scared to stand up. Dallas watched Johnny’s frightened pupils palpitate as he scanned him further down, stopping at the fly of his jeans. Johnny gulped, staring at his friend.
“The hell you’re doing sitting like that?” Dallas hissed at him, and before Johnny could answer, Dally crawled into bed, placing his knee between Johnny’s legs. Cade whimpered, catching Dally’s attention as the tall, young hood rested above him, their eyes locked.
Johnny felt his heart skip a beat as he watched Dally’s hungry eyes devour him, bringing color to Cade’s cheeks. He was suddenly ashamed and embarrassed, reminding himself of his innocence. He felt trapped.
Eyeing the beast that blocked his way, Johnny surrendered. He let go of his fear and awkwardness, replacing them with a new feeling growing inside of him - lust. Lust for Dallas Winston.
He bit his lip, giving him a signal. Dally couldn’t wait any longer, and Johnny teasing him only ignited his craving. Dallas abruptly leaned in, pressing his lips against Johnny’s, passionately kissing him.
Johnny liked it. Dally’s aggressive state scared him to death, but also turned him on. The greaser felt it in his pants. And Dally’s knee wasn’t helping him.
Suddenly Dallas broke the kiss, grabbing Johnny’s neck. Cade couldn’t dare to move.
“You want it? Tell me, Johnny,” he held Cade by his throat as he whispered in his ear, “ I’ll stop if you ask me to.”
“Take me,” Johnny whispered back, his voice cracking. His stomach twisted and turned from what he had said. Dallas brushed a strand of Johnny’s hair away from his face, and bit his neck, leaving a crimson mark on his closest friend.
Johnny groaned, letting him do it. It was too late to back off, he got Dally so excited that he could sense it through Winston’s teeth. Johnny suddenly felt so hot and tight in his jeans and silently begged Dallas to take them off.
Winston took his jacket off and removed his t-shirt. His bare body mesmerized Johnny, and he wanted to touch it, but Dallas wouldn’t let him. After he unzipped his jeans, he gripped Johnny’s hair, sending him down to his knees, as Dally himself sat on the bed, his legs wide spread. Cade, speechless, stared at his friend.
“Show me you deserve it.” Winston’s impudent facial expression changed into a mischievous smirk as he pushed Johnny’s head closer to the bulge formed in his underwear.
Johnny felt uneasy once again, knowing that he was inexperienced.
But he chose to give it a try. He undressed Dallas completely, and let out a heavy sigh seeing his hard, fervent cock, and placed his left hand on it. Dallas leaned back, closing his eyes.
Johnny hoped that Dallas didn’t have any ferocious expectations as he licked the tip, sending an electric shock down Dally’s spine. Cade never did anything like that with anyone, so he took a deep breath and decided not to think about it too much. Dally was high anyway, he couldn’t judge him too much, could he?
He worked Dally’s length back and forth, his tongue placed under Winston's cock as he sucked it, Dally’s groans leading him to go lower and lower. It wasn’t that easy, Dally was large, so Cade could only get to the middle of his cock.
Dallas enjoyed it, but it wasn’t enough. This time, Dally gently caressed his cheek as he watched Johnny give him pleasure. His seductive eyes made Johnny feel uncomfortable, but he still appreciated his tender touch. Even if it didn’t last.
Dally grabbed Johnny’s hair one more time, lowering his head, and making Johnny instantly gag. Dallas understood and decided to switch positions.
“Let me fuck your mouth, doll.” Dallas pecked Johnny on his lips, waiting for his approval.
Cade silently nodded, mentally getting ready for it. Dallas didn’t stand on ceremony and shoved his dick right into Johnny’s mouth. He began slowly but quickly fastened his pace, watching the scene from above, gasping from pleasure. Johnny did well at the beginning, he kept his tongue below his cock as he did before, while Dallas made him salivate, but then he started to feel nauseous. Johnny leaned his hands against Dally’s thighs, letting him know that he was getting tired of it.
“Get on the bed,” Dally ordered, and Johnny executed. Johnny even took off his t-shirt, while Dallas stood naked in front of him, searching for something in the pockets of his jacket. He pulled a small vial and held it tightly in his hand.
“What is it?” Johnny asked, getting scared. Dally sat beside him on the bed and kissed him.
“Something to help you relax.” Dally explained, but saw that Johnny wasn’t convinced, “Down there.”
Cade nodded, trusting him. Dallas proceeded by stripping off Johnny’s jeans, making him blush. He never had that kind of intimacy with anyone. Dallas didn’t seem to be embarrassed by anything happening in Cade’s room. He gently stroked Johnny’s cock, making him lose control of his mouth. He moaned into Dally’s neck, his body shaking from the euphoria Winston gave him.
Dallas removed his hand and put two fingers inside Johnny’s mouth, making him suck on them. Not sensing enough moisture, Dallas spit on his hand and placed it back on Johnny’s aching cock, sliding up and down. Johnny felt like he couldn’t hold it any longer, but made an effort not to bust right there. He bit Dally’s neck instead, making Winston smile from pain.
“Dal…Dally…” Johnny groaned, holding his breath.
Hearing his begging, Dallas stopped what he was doing, not wanting Johnny to come yet. He caressed his thighs and made Johnny turn to his side, but Cade didn’t feel like the spoon position would assure him a pleasant moment. He rolled on his stomach, and stretched his arms forward, his fingers touching the rose petals that laid in front of him. He silently waited for Dallas to make the next move, not daring to look at him.
Dallas sighed, seeing the naked body lying under him as he searched the drawer for any kind of lube. He found petroleum jelly and smeared it on his cock, and then spread Johnny’s asscheeks. Cade nearly wheezed from the cold touch on his anus, feeling anxiety build up inside of him. He was about to lose his virginity.
Dally opened the bottle with the liquid before doing anything else and let Johnny sniff it. And then he admired Johnny’s back, leaving kisses all over it, making him feel better about the whole thing. He calmed down a little by then, understanding that Johnny was still new to it all, and didn’t want to hurt him.
“Johnny,” Dallas brought his attention, gently running his hand on his bare back, “You’re driving me crazy.”
“Dally, I’m a bit scared. It won’t hurt, right?”
“It might.” Dallas didn’t want to disillusion him, but had to, “Try to make me stop if I’m too rough.”
Johnny wanted to nod, but when he felt Dally’s finger slowly entering him, he got tensed up and bit his lip out of shock, forgetting how to speak.
“Relax,” Dally commanded, slapping him.
Johnny obeyed and let Dallas continue with the second finger. Cade wanted to scream by then but didn’t know if he’d do it out of pain or out of pleasure. It felt different. It was something new.
Dallas continued fingering him. Johnny groaned and arched his back as Dallas played with his hole, sticking out his fingers to lick them from time to time.
The moment came when Dallas went wild, and couldn’t wait to shove his cock inside Johnny any longer. He came on top and rubbed his cock in between Johnny’s cheeks, making him gasp from excitement.
As Dally entered him, Johnny felt his eyes swell with tears one more time. When Dallas felt the tightness of Johnny’s hole, he couldn’t be so gentle anymore and precipitately slipped his cock inside of Cade, who flinched from the sharp pain.
“Dally!” Johnny screamed, biting his hand, trying to shut up. It was bad enough that his father was home, but if his mother would get back and see it, she’d send him off to a mental hospital.
“Fuck,” Winston stayed still for a moment, devouring it, “You’re so tight, angel.”
Johnny smiled through the pain, but it faded as soon as Dallas started to move, instating a certain pace. As he thrust, Dallas felt ecstatic, so he went deeper and deeper, ignoring Johnny’s whines that turned him on even more. He grabbed Johnny’s hair and pulled it, wanting Cade to arch his back.
Dallas fucked him harder and harder, and Johnny couldn’t hold it anymore. Stimulating his prostate, Dally felt Johnny being close, and wrapped his hand around Cade’s cock, stroking it.
Johnny let out a scream of pleasure as he reached his orgasm, cumming on the bed sheets. Dally was unstoppable from then on, he banged Johnny so hard that the greaser below him couldn’t feel his anus anymore. Winston was rough and made Cade tear up as he thrust, his balls slapping against Johnny’s asscheeks.
Dallas whimpered as he came inside, crushing on the bed next to Johnny. Cade finally felt relieved, as he breathed into the pillow, trying hard not to cry. He enjoyed it, but it was emotionally devastating.
Winston smiled. He kept his eyes closed for a moment but then sat up in Johnny’s bed, taking the flowers in his hands. He ripped the remaining petals and threw them on top of Johnny, giggling.
“Don’t make any more mess.” Johnny rolled his eyes as he turned around and laid on his back, his eyes studying Dallas.
“We already messed up,” Dally sighed, noticing the hickey he left on Johnny’s neck, “Why not make it pretty?”

24. Showing up injured at their friend/mentor’s house: for shawn? :)
[emerges from writing this fic bloody and beaten and on the verge of collapse] ill explore karen vicks character in an overly complicated post-episode missing scene fic or die trying! set immediately post "right turn or left for dead". i genuinely dont know if im happy with this but i also cant figure out how to fix it. actually, it would have probably been easier to write if i was willing to rewatch the episodes its based on. which i am not, because i am a sensitive little soul. so i winged it. i think there are like 10 different ideas that crop up and theyre all equally fascinating as character threads but i have no idea if i tied them together in an even remotely coherent way. also, WOULD she say that??? i had to call my brother twice to ask. this is what yall get for sending me actually interesting prompts, huh
“Oh, it’s no problem,” Henry’s voice said on the phone. “I’ll send Shawn over with them on his way out. He's going in your direction, anyway.”
In her short tenure as the junior detective to Henry Spencer’s lieutenant, Karen Vick observed two things:
First, that he was a far more clever strategist than most people gave him credit for. Despite the ongoing wreckage of his impending divorce and a kid who was slipping through his fingers as everyone looked on, Karen didn’t agree with the other junior detectives’ impression of him as a smash-the-door-down old school hard ass with thinning hair and a worst attitude. The man played four dimensional chess right out of a bonafide Star Trek episode. When he really wanted something done, Henry Spencer could bullshit and bluff and battle plan with the pros, and half the time you’d get too caught up in the blustering misdirect to realize his game was intricately thought out three steps in advance.
It was how they caught the Shorttown Killer, and also how they got that idiot Trembley at the mayor’s office to finally replace their coffee maker. Karen went home to her then-boyfriend, now-husband, and, right before bed, pulled out an old school workbook and took notes.
The second thing was that Henry Spencer loved his son.
Not a lot has changed since then, Karen thinks, staring down the weirdness that she now faces through her open front door.
“… Oh — Mr. Spencer,” Karen says, because it’s rude not to greet your employees when they show up at your home outside of work hours, and are also your old friend-slash-colleague’s kid. “Hello. Thanks for — bringing these over.”
“Dad said it was urgent,” Shawn says.
Urgent isn’t quite how Karen would describe it, but hearing through the grapevine that your department might be facing an audit sometime in the next quarter does light a fire under the proverbial ass. Karen would rather bend a few rules and make sure the last year’s i’s and t’s are dotted and crossed right than leave her detectives vulnerable to the whims of a mayoral stooge.
In general, Karen prides herself on caring about the people under her command just enough that it inspires genuine friendship and loyalty. The just is important. Care needs tempering – it’s important to pull back, press pause, keep certain lines uncrossed. It’s especially important if you want to be successful as a woman in an authority position where lives are often on the line.
What she’s saying is that she tries to make it none of her business what her employees get up to in their spare time. She really genuinely does. She’s shut O’Hara down gently midway through the twelfth sweetly-frazzled attempt to overshare about her dating life (or her efforts to befriend her next-door neighbor, or the endearing personality quirks of her last cat – rest in peace, Triscuit, you will be missed –) enough times to be well-versed in the art of I Won’t Ask, You Won’t Tell, But You’ll Probably Know I Care Anyway.
An invaluable rapport to maintain. In any situation, Karen thinks, but especially when you’re a person who regularly hires and works alongside Shawn Spencer.
She’s not sure whether what she’s looking at right now makes her want to second guess or double down on her usual policy.
“Special delivery,” Shawn adds, like everything is super normal.
Karen narrows her eyes. She glances behind them into the quiet residential street.
“Shawn,” she says.
“Yes, Chief?”
“You didn’t drive here, did you?”
“Ha,” he says, half rolling his eyes to accompany a weird aborted grin. “No. Even I don’t think riding a motorcycle with a concussion is a good idea. What if someone who wasn’t me got hurt? That’s — that would be no good, then you’d have to arrest me. Wouldn’t that be a huge bummer for the whole team, Chief? Gus would cry. And my dad wouldn’t let me take his truck.”
Karen stares at him. Shawn stares at the ground.
“I got a cab,” he says.
“And you are … taking another cab – home?”
Shawn looks quite suddenly like he’s going to be sick.
“Sure,” he says.
Shawn looks terrible. Bruised face, bags under his eyes, and a weird frenetic energy twitching in his limbs that doesn’t pair well with his general air of exhaustion. He’s holding his shoulders stiffly and can barely meet her eye. His t-shirt and sweatpants are rumpled, like he slept in them, even though it’s too early in the evening for Henry to have woken him up to send him here, and when he thrusts the promised files out into the air toward her, abrupt and, admittedly, Shawn-like, he only just hides the awkward wince that immediately overtakes his left side.
The last couple days have been a bit of a whirlwind, so Karen can’t say she necessarily blames herself for not looking more closely.
Even so.
Slowly, Karen reaches forward and divests him of the case files. They slip a little bit, because Karen can’t seem to stop peering shrewdly at Shawn’s face while she does it, and on instinct he reaches forward to stop the stack from toppling.
It does help, but the autopilot he moves on makes it harder to mask what is to Karen’s eyes a very obvious flinch.
“Alright,” is all he says. “Well, good to see you. Time to head back to the old hay stack.”
Like a needle in a haystack and time to hit the hay, Karen supplies needlessly in her own head. Aloud, she says, in many ways against her better judgment,
“Mr. Spencer, are you okay?”
Shawn sways on the spot for a second, one fist clenched, mouth half open. For a strange moment, Karen gets the impression that he’s trying really hard not to say the wrong thing.
“... As rain,” he finally manages, then nods to himself like he achieved some great feat. “Okay. Well –”
“Did something happen to your shoulder?”
“What? No!” Shawn’s eyes flutter closed and he shakes his head, “I’m – fine, Chief. It’s not – I mean, I’m – normal, fine. Fine in a normal way.”
“That’s not something an individual who’s fine in a normal way would say,” Karen says.
“Uh, is it not! It is. I would know, because I am that individual. It’s – I was – there’s just mild – pfft … stab wound – or something, who would even …”
Is Shawn broken? is the unhelpful thought that pops into Karen’s head. She’s never heard an attempt to bullshit collapse so quickly into pathetic nothingness before – certainly not from Shawn.
Perhaps even more than his father, the kid’s a pro.
And then the rest of the sentence catches up with her.
“A mild stab wound?”
Oh boy. She watches Shawn’s eyes widen with the panic that proceeds an unquestionable blunder.
“Chief –”
“In.”
“Chief, I really, really don’t think –”
“Inside my house. Now.”
He’s certainly uncoordinated enough that he doesn’t put up much of a fight. Karen herds him through the door as firmly as possible and leads them in a beeline past Richard’s office toward the bathroom, ignoring the reedy stream of consciousness that spills out of Shawn’s mouth as they go.
“Oh, hey, woah, it’s been like forever since I was in here. Did you redecorate? I swear that lamp wasn’t there the last time we visited. It could be the tacos I had earlier, but I’m sensing a distinct neo-modern Chinese aesthetic going on here, Chief, which calls to mind the merits of cultural appreciation in suburban home decor – hey, is that your husband’s office? Can I meet him? Is he home? That man is a true enigma to us, Chief, and it’s leading me to believe that he must possess all the facial and personality qualities of the pop superstar Mr. Pitbull Worldwide –”
Richard is home, actually, and Karen needs to alert him to the fact that they have an unexpected house guest, so, ignoring Shawn completely, she calls out,
“Honey? Shawn Spencer’s here for a couple minutes about a work thing! I’ll go up to put Iris to bed in a second!” in the finely-honed There Are Many Layers Of Complicated To This secret married tone that Richard should probably be able to catch through the closed office door.
“Alright,” floats out her husband’s pleasant voice. “Tell him hi from me.”
Perfect. There’s about a ninety-three percent chance he understood.
They make it to the bathroom, only stumbling slightly. Shawn says,
“-- or The Rock. Does your husband look like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson? I really think that would make so many things about the Chief Vick family make sense –”
Karen closes the bathroom door with a snap and crosses her arms.
“Sit,” she says, in a voice that even he knows brooks no argument.
Shawn does. He looks – well, beyond uncomfortable, and more than a little bit miserable, and probably closer to completely dissociating than either of them are prepared for. Karen wonders belatedly if he's gotten any sleep at all in the last forty-eight hours.
“I’m assuming you have not been to the hospital.”
He gives her a baleful look, like he really expected better of her. She only just stops herself from rolling her eyes in response. And there’s that huge goose egg on his forehead, too. What, exactly, he got up to in between Carlton’s wedding reception and oh-eight-hundred hours this morning Karen has no idea, but he looks like someone’s run him through the world’s most aggressive industrial tumble dry cycle and spat him mercilessly back out.
Or maybe over with a truck.
Sending a silent prayer to the universe that Iris never hit puberty and remains a sweet-tempered six-year-old forever, Karen gets to business.
“Well, I had to at least ask. Shawn. Does it need stitches?” He mumbles the answer the first time, and then looks beyond startled when she grabs him under the chin so he’ll look her in the eye. “Listen. I won’t make you do anything you don’t want to do. But you’re going to tell me the truth. Got it?”
Shawn grimaces so hard at her words it’s almost a flinch.
“No,” he says finally, clearly enough that she hears him. Karen raises an eyebrow. “No, I don’t think it needs stitches,” he articulates, but doesn’t meet her eye.
“Hm. Alright. I have gauze and tape in the medicine cabinet. Can I … is it alright if I pull up the sleeve of your t-shirt?”
Released from her hold, he groans and presses his face into one palm. “Chief –”
“I don’t really know what you expected, coming here! It’s not like I’m any less of a hardass than your father.”
“Yeah, but I can bitch back at my dad,” Shawn says, sounding like he’s finally realizing the magnitude of his mistake. Karen smiles grimly.
“Tough. Now pull your shirt up while I get the first aid kit.”
While Shawn proceeds to wrestle awkwardly with his t-shirt in a muted shuffle against the toilet seat, Karen rummages efficiently through the cabinet and eyes him through the bathroom mirror. He seems oddly reluctant to expose himself. In fact, in a stark contrast to his usual insistence on making his presence and contributions as obtrusively obvious as possible, Shawn seems intent on shrinking into the aforementioned Asian-flavored floral wallpaper (which does need an update, unfortunately) with all the equanimity of an anxious chameleon. Karen feels her eyebrows crease. Taking the first aid kit in hand, she brings it over and deposits it into his arms, ignoring his small startle.
“How about you hold that,” Karen says. Shawn does, against his chest, like a pillow. She walks around him and surveys the damage, antiseptic gauze in hand.
He wasn’t lying about the severity, at least. It’s a shallow thing, already mostly congealed, and has only stained his shirt in a small smattering spot of crusty brown blood.
Karen swabs at it with the alcohol using light careful fingers.
“Ow, ow ow ah –”
“Don’t be such a baby. It’s hardly a life-threatening injury.”
“Super insightful, Chief,” Shawn snaps, as genuinely sarcastic as he’s probably ever been with her, “never thought of that myself. Totally the reason why I just had to go to the hospital.”
He doesn’t pull away, but she can feel the tension radiating through his back. She blinks, one eyebrow crawling up her forehead.
Alright then. So that’s how it’s going to be.
“I’m assuming your father doesn’t know about this,” she says.
Shawn grunts, noncommittal. Huh. Maybe he does know, then, and has just been disallowed from doing anything about it right now.
She tosses the first used antiseptic wipe into the trash.
Goddamn four dimensional chess.
She supposes she’s never been bad at the game. She may as well work her way backwards through the moves: Guster, the most obvious node in Shawn’s turn-to-in-a-crisis-system, would never voluntarily abandon his friend in a time of need, so Karen assumes that whatever this is has either already included his support or not been made known to Gus at all yet. Henry’s likely exhausted his own usefulness in the situation, and Detective O’Hara is …
Karen has to work very hard for her hands not to pause in a way that gives away her hard-earned mental sleuthing. A bad feeling wholly unrelated to her ill-advised hangover of the day before begins to bloom at the back of her gut.
“You have really small hands, Chief.”
Shawn’s voice is notably more subdued than before.
“Do I?”
“They’re like … little kangaroo hands. Like the mom kangaroo from Whinnie the Pooh.”
“Didn’t you know?” Karen says, not unkindly. “They’re given out at the hospital when all first-time moms leave with their baby.”
He lets out a tired little laugh, more boyish than he probably means it to be, and in spite of herself Karen feels her heart clench. She isn’t blind. In all her last seven years as the leader of their chaotic little precinct, she has never seen Juliet O’Hara look as ill as she did yesterday morning. The usually sweet-faced young woman had all the pallor of a Victorian ghost, and stood so far away from Shawn in any given room that to an unassuming observer he might have had the plague.
There are only a handful of things, Karen thinks, that could have invited that particular evolution in their dynamic. She rips the surgical tape from its canister a little bit more harshly than is strictly necessary and fights the urge to pinch the bridge of her nose between her fingers.
“So,” she says conversationally, laying the tape down in neat, gentle little strips, trying not to pinch the wound too tightly. “Any fun plans for the evening?”
Shawn sniffs. She can see him gripping his hands together over his knee from where she stands above him.
“Um, yeah, uh –” he clears his throat, “you know me, Chief. We’re working our way through a Robert Guillame marathon, which means some good old fashioned Benson, running commentary on the quality of that child acting, naturally.”
“Naturally.”
“Then Gus and I were gonna hit up the new, the new chili cheese joint up by Hermosa, you know – they’re doing sliders –”
“Chili cheese sliders?” Karen hums, contemplative.
“Buy ‘em by the pound,” Shawn agrees. “Then I was thinking of getting a tattoo, maybe a belly button piercing, I’ve been really – really needing a change – would you let Iris get one, if she asked?”
“A tattoo?” Karen clarifies, cutting off the next piece of tape. The skin around the cut is warm to her touch but Shawn’s arms have goosepimpled. The hair at the back of his head sticks up unstyled, like he slept weirdly and couldn’t be bothered to fix it come morning.
“Of a marmoset. That’s what I’m thinking. With distinctly effeminate vibes.”
“Well, Dick hates marmosets. So I’d probably encourage her toward something else. Perhaps a sea lion.”
“Like Shabby.” The nervous note has bled into his legs again, and his earlier subdued tone has gone back to sounding strained. “Yeah, that’ll – that could be it.”
“All in one night, huh?” Karen says.
“I –” Shawn doesn’t even hiss when she presses down with a cotton gauze to cover the last of the thickened blood. His legs are properly jittering again. “I was – yeah, y-you know me, Chief, total night owl.”
“Shawn?”
“Yeah?”
“What about going home?”
Silence. Shawn doesn’t answer for a moment long and pregnant enough that Karen wonders if her question will be ignored entirely.
Then,
“Chief,” he says finally, in an awful, tiny little voice, “I really, really fucked up.”
Finally, her hands do falter in their ministrations; as emotionally exuberant as Shawn often is, she doesn’t think she’s ever actually heard him close to tears. For a horrible moment she wonders if Shawn Spencer will suddenly start crying atop her toilet seat for reasons neither of them are capable of discussing honestly. Then she wonders if her horror makes her a terrible boss.
Boss – mother – person.
Oh, dear.
She sets down the surgical tape and lays a ginger palm over the newly-bandaged gouge in his shoulder. It’ll probably scar, but not at all badly. She doesn’t like to think about the far more obvious one just below, puckering in a violent yet unassuming divot. Another narrow miss for Henry’s boy.
At this point there are so many of them to count, Karen has to question the statistical likelihood of the whole thing. Becoming a mathematical anomaly is, Karen can attest with confidence, not exactly the future the Lieutenant Spencer she knew dreamed of for his increasingly unmanageable teenager.
Doing what he loved, on the other hand – absolutely. Being with a person he loved, even more so. Karen grits her teeth at the irritating web she’s spent the last six years constructing around herself and wonders if this evening right here is some kind of cosmic karma for leaving Iris in the care of nannies for the first three years of her life.
That sounds like the kind of thing those horrible parenting magazines and Karen’s mother-in-law would claim, anyway.
“Shawn,” she says slowly, because she has to at least knock this possibility off the list before risking her career in an attempt to mediate her detectives’ love lives, “did you … you weren’t – unfaithful, were you?”
“What?!”
Shawn yanks his shoulder away and whirls around to face her with such a look of horrified betrayal on his face that it’s almost comical.
“No!”
Thank fucking God, Karen thinks. Aloud, she says,
“Well, I’m sorry, I had to at least ask!”
“No! No! What the hell, Chief!”
“Oh would you be quiet! I’m gathering my evidence here!”
“How could I – I would never – you’d even think that I could –”
“I know! Shawn, for God’s sake –” He’s scrambled to his feet in the cramped bathroom space, glaring, and has probably messed up all that surgical tape in the process. The half open first aid kit and his crumpled shirt press lopsided against his front and her garbage can is now full of oxidizing bits of cotton. Karen officially gives in to the urge to press her palms against her forehead. “I had to ask!” she repeats finally. “You and I both know you’re not gonna give me much else to work with, and you sounded so – so sad!”
Shawn barks out a hysterical little laugh. Karen almost growls in frustration.
“I am not going to risk all the very hard-earned rules I have in place without knowing for sure that my instincts aren’t wrong. Is that so hard to appreciate?”
Does it count as sound police work when the framework for your investigation is an unacknowledged lie? Karen doesn’t really know. Probably there’s another math metaphor to be made in there (you screwed your proof from the very beginning, maybe, Richard the professor would definitely have thoughts), or just a straight up joke. How to solve a case that’s cold before it ever has the chance to go live; a cover-up if she ever saw one. Unlikely that O’Hara will peep a word, and things will be a true mess for a few weeks, if she can’t make an educated guess about it. And no one will be explaining anything to Carlton, either …
Right before their goddamn audit, Karen thinks, aggrieved. She wonders if Henry considered this in his calculus. Send Shawn over, have her deal with him. Offer a huge unspoken you’re gonna be walking into a shitstorm tomorrow canary for her perennially chaotic mess of a coal mine.
She can’t help but feel begrudgingly grateful, but that doesn’t mean she and he won’t be having words about this later.
“Jesus, Karen,” Shawn mutters, pressing his face back into his free hand. Karen shakes her head and squares her shoulders.
“Well then! Back to the issue. You fucked up.”
“You know what? I can’t talk about this with you.”
“Oh, Mr. Spencer, I assure you I am more than well aware.”
Shawn blinks at her between his fingers, looking genuinely confused for the first time since he showed up at her door.
Karen does not bother to clear up his confusion; it’s better this way, anyhow.
“Will you be sleeping at Gus’s place or your father’s?” she asks, crossing her arms.
“I’m – I don’t –” Shawn doesn’t meet her eye. The earlier thread of anxiety is back. “I wasn’t …”
So, neither.
“Put your shirt back on,” she says. “We’re relocating to the living room.”
“Chief –”
“That was an order, Mr. Spencer.”
The living room is as quiet and mundane as it was an hour ago. It’s past Iris’s bedtime – she’ll have to go up, and soon at that. Karen seats her guest, retrieves a mug and a bag of chamomile from the kitchen, and removes the fluffy throw blanket from the basket behind the couch on her way back in. He’s deflated completely by the time the tea and blanket are set in front of him. Small and exhausted. Caught. It’s a horrible way to think about it. But she can’t avoid the hundred yard stare – Karen has seen it one too many times in people only just realizing they’re about to go away for life.
“Shawn,” she says, firm as she can make it. “Drink the tea. You’re dehydrated.”
“I’m … what?”
“Your lips are dry. You shouldn’t be dehydrated with a concussion.”
He doesn’t say anything for a minute, and Karen suddenly wonders if he’s going to get up and leave. She has experience with these things – she knows a runner when she sees one.
“I might as well have,” Shawn finally whispers.
She doesn’t catch it the first time. “What?”
“I – I might as well ha – Chief, I …” Deep shuddering breaths. He’s finally shutting down, she realizes. She can’t send him back out like this; Henry would give her the stink eye for a month.
Goddamn Spencers and their goddamn irritating overcomplicated lives.
Karen pushes the tea directly into his hands and tilts her chin so she can meet Shawn’s eye. He’s still lucid enough that she doesn’t think he’ll start hyperventilating, but now that the outrage and adrenaline has worn off, the symptoms of shock are pretty hard to miss. “Shawn,” she says again, and wills for him to understand.
“What if she – what if I never –” He can’t get the full sentence out. He looks at her, eyes wide and terrified.
Life sentence, Karen thinks again. The messy stack of files Shawn brought over sits almost unimportantly on the coffee table between them and a memory comes to her, unbidden, of words penned carefully in the corner of a modified police report that she pulled the minute the door closed on the McCallum case seven years ago.
Date: May 4th, 1995. Reporting Officer, Spencer, Lt. H. Perpetrator a caucasian male, brown hair, five foot nine, insists on wearing those stupid earrings just to spite me. What the hell do you want me to write here, Chief? Spent two hours in the fucking principal’s office convincing them not to expel him one month off from graduation. All that effort, and I still booked the kid. It’s gonna follow him for life, and it’s gonna be me that did it to him. For life. You think he’ll ever forgive me? He’s the greatest thing in my pathetic little world and he keeps breaking my heart, and I can’t even properly accept that it’s my fault.
How’s that for a fucking crime.
She needs to go put her daughter to bed. It’s the thought that keeps running through her head, oddly enough, like a strange antidote to the impotent anger and heartbreak and frustration she’s feeling for the people under her care.
With all the notes she took in that little workbook, she still let herself become complicit in the painstaking, convoluted resolution of Henry’s mistakes without accounting for all the variables.
Richard’s footsteps sound muffled in the next room; he’s made his way upstairs in Karen’s absence. She needs to go. She wants to hear the soft and sleepy love you Mama that with her unpredictable hours and regular long nights isn’t nearly routine enough.
“Shawn,” she says evenly. “Do you love her?”
It’s hard to reconcile the smarmy kid who tried to barter with her for twelve hundred a day with the devastated young man sitting on the couch in front of her.
“Chief …” he starts, barely above a whisper.
“Good. Then she’ll see that. Detective O’Hara is a smart and observant woman. What she chooses to do next is her decision, but … you might be – well, comforted by the fact that she’ll know that – truth.”
Shawn stares at her. The tea steams in front of him, cooling in increments. She takes a deep breath and gets to her feet, patting his uninjured shoulder brusquely.
“I have to go check on Iris. When I come back down, I can drive you to the Psych office.”
Iris is fast asleep when she gets there. A library book lays open face down over her stomach, and her soft brown hair fans out against the pillow, silhouetted by the soft glow of the unicorn nightlight in the wall above her. Karen turns off the bedside lamp, tucks her daughter in, and kisses her forehead. Just before she leaves, she hears it: murmured, half-awake.
“Love you, Mama.”
“I love you too, baby.”
Karen goes back to her living room, car keys in hand. She’s planned her next move in the driver’s seat enough times throughout her career that it shouldn’t be too hard.
