This is simply untrue. I don't say this to attack you personally or to claim that you are a liar. Most likely, you have seen these claims in the media, accompanied by pictures of Palestinian civilians suffering. It's true that Palestinian civilians have died. It is not true that Israel is deliberately killing them, and it is not true that the number of civilians who have died is high-- even though every such death is a tragedy.

The death toll figures come from Hamas' "health ministry". The first problem is that Hamas has an enormous incentive to lie, as the terrorists rely on international pressure to avoid military defeat by Israel. The only way they can apply such pressure is by representing a high civilian death toll, of which they claim over 70% are women and children.

But the question people should be asking is, "How many of the dead are terrorists?" The IDF claims to have killed around 13 000 terrorists. Even if many choose to disbelieve Israel's evidence (even though it is far more comprehensive than any claim released by Hamas), this can easily be checked by asking Hamas terrorist officials whether such-and-such a terrorist is still alive.

Palestinian terrorists have created a cult of glorifying death. Every dead terrorist, they claim, is an Islamic martyr. They also glorify convicted murderers and other felons who are in Israeli prisons. All they idolise is slaughter, rape, kidnapping, and other atrocities-- the more such atrocities, the more jubilation and canonisation of the criminals.

So they would know the names of many, if not most, of the terrorists who have died. Why aren't they discussing this with Western journalists?

Furthermore, the terrorists know full well that they have thousands of terrorists on active duty in Gaza. Their remaining four battalions sequestered in Rafah come to some 3000 terrorists.

Even if we were to take the official 30 000 death toll seriously, subtracting the estimated number of dead terrorists would not only halve that amount; it would also bring the ratio of terrorists to civilians killed to around 1:1:5, which is lower than any other army in the world.

Refusal to be honest about who is being killed is inflation of the death toll by default. It is blatant deception of the international community.

But even this isn't the most important issue.

Why are Palestinian civilians dying? A death toll of, say 15 000 civilians is still high, though nowhere near as high as that caused by Arab coalition armies in neighbouring lands. The Arab League, currently attacking Israel for its war in Gaza, somehow decided it was acceptable to reinvite Syria last year, despite the Assad government being responsible for the deaths of around 500 000 Syrians, not to mention the displacement of millions. Clearly Arabic countries have no issue with large death tolls, as long as the perpetrators are also Arabic.

Why are Palestinian civilians dying? Because Hamas insists on engaging Israel in civilian areas, which is a war crime. The Shifa hospital raid revealed the callous nature of Palestinian terrorists, who stored guns and bombs in maternity wards and emergency units.

Because Hamas has blocked Gazans from fleeing to third countries, despite this being a standard practice in other wars.

Because Hamas employs Palestinian civilians as agents of war, for example, in warning Hamas terrorists when IDF soldiers will enter a building, so that the terrorists can detonate booby traps. That is how several IDF soldiers have died, and is another key fact Western media outlets seem to either ignore or dismiss as just a claim by Israel.

Given all this evidence, I would strongly invite you to consider not repeating this claim that Israel is killing a "high" number of civilians. Such a claim originates from Hamas and is used to deceive Westerners into supporting the terrorist group and endangering Israel's future security by purposefully forcing the Jewish state to lose the war.

One can easily express their concern for the true number of Palestinian civilians who have died by calling on Hamas to return all of the remaining hostages without any delay, and for Hamas to surrender now. One could also demand that Hamas stop stealing humanitarian aid from Palestinians who need the food-- needless to say, the claim that Israel isn't allowing any or enough food in is yet another terrorist-backed lie.

Every day that Hamas refuses these conditions is another day of war that the terrorists have inflicted upon their own people. Meanwhile, the terrorist leaders like Ismail Haniyeh and Bassem Naim, sit in Qatar and Turkey respectively, with a stolen fortune amounting to billions in total, none of which they are sharing with the Palestinians in Gaza.

These are the murderers who kill high numbers of civilians deliberately, not Israel.

I think it would be helpful for everyone to acknowledge that "Israel is killing a high number of civilians in Gaza AND THAT IS BAD AND WRONG" can and does coexist with "other countries also do pretty much this exact thing and worse literally all the time but Israel gets a much more aggressive response because of antisemitism and that is a legitimate problem".
