Golden Days Lookbook Challenge

So we decided to start this new challenge, and I challenge you to go pick up your favorite sim who grew old, or make a new one for the occasion, put on your best rings, and get ready to party with your fellow grandmas and grandpas!

Do 3 outfits, or 2 or 1, whatever you please, put in a #goldendays LB hashtag, and make sure to tag Meg and me both, so we can look at all of your elders enjoying their golden years!

For this challenge I chose Nanette Nichols, Mia’s mother. Now, as a few of you might remember, Nanette had to raise Mia as a single mother, and she always struggled financially. However her fortunes changed at the end of last year when she and Mia became money smugglers for fabled businessman Raj Patel, and for the first time in her life Nanette has money to spend! Quite a lot of money! And naturally one of the first things she splurged on was a brand new wardrobe. Two of her more recent purchases are pictured below.

The lovely smoky blue lace number above is by Ekinege at TSR, and the shoes are by Daluved1 for Ace Creators. The striking print silk dress below is by @orange-sim​ and can be downloaded as part of a bundle here. Nanette’s slingbacks are again by Daluved1 and can be downloaded from MTS here.

Where do you get your poses from?

Hello there, anon! :) I get my poses from all over the place. I have about 25,000 clips (and counting) in my game right now, but I don’t use the list and they’re not all that well organized. However, I just went through and bookmarked a bunch of pose databases and pose creators earlier this month, so I’ll share those links with you. There are quite a lot, I apologize for the length of this post, but even so it’s by no means complete (as I’m always finding more poses to feed my addiction XD). Nevertheless, if you ever see a pose in any of my screenshots that you are interested in please feel free to send me an ask and I will try my best to track it down for you. Happy simming! :D

There's so much to see and most of it I get a great deal of laughs from. The friendliness of the people on here and the support of the community is so unreal. It's like my get away from home to my other home. Tumblr never disappoints!

I'm actually a freak in the fact that I generally prefer thin crust! However, every so often I do go for deep dish from a place like Gino's East.  We have amazing hot dog places here, no lie.
