Writing this down in case I ever make a Dazzler playlist
Tumblr media
He is a silly goofy spider
Tumblr media
Okay, this one hits a bit too close to home.
Tumblr media
Heckuva😭😭😭 Now I want to see Heckuva Boss, a censored version of Helluva Boss
Tumblr media
Ngl if I personally had X-Men's and Spider-mans approval i wouldn't give a flying fuck what my parents think
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First thing first, I feel you Steve, If I ever go out without my fidget rings I will eat dirt and cry.
Secondly, look at Beast. Silly goofer.
Tumblr media
Yes he is, random citizen. Yes, he is.
Tumblr media
This is actually hilarious, how everyone rushes into bathroom stools to change into their superhero costumes
Tumblr media
What is this Spider-Man slander
All of that aside, it's super cute how everyone is there for Dazzler. They all -avengers, fantastic four, x-men, spider-man- have a crossover not because there is a world-threatening event, but because they want to hear this young mutant sing and want to see her start her singing career.
Dazzler #1-#2

New Releases: January 2025
So Not My Type by Dana Hawkins (January 5th) Sophie Black has clawed her way up from coffee runs to project manager at a top Seattle ad agency. She’s laser-focused on her career—until the CEO’s daughter, Ella Northwood, joins the team. Forced to work together on a high-stakes campaign, sparks fly as Sophie’s scrappy determination clashes with Ella’s polished privilege. But there’s more to both…

An Attraction [Closed]

Colin was hanging out at the bar he frequented with a few of his friends from the precinct. The night was winding down, and he was having a few beers. Colin was watching the television showing a boxing match when one of his friends bumped him and pointed toward the bar; the girl behind the bar had been looking his way, and when they locked eyes, she smiled before going back to what she was doing. "Well, boys, about to see if my old Arizona charm will work on a girl from New York," Colin said as he sipped his beer and approached the bar. When he got close. "I don't know if it's just the lighting in here, but I couldn't help but notice that you have beautiful eyes, which match perfectly with that smile you gave me. I'm Colin." Colin said as he held his hand out.

The Winners by Fredrik Backman (Currently reading alongside the wonderfully insightful @the-smile-of-a-veil)
The Iliad by Homer (I studied The Odyssey and The Aeneid by Virgil at A-Level and I think it's blasphemous that I have not yet read The Iliad. I intend to read this one book per week, whilst making notes and researching scholarship in order to truly savour the experience)
Held by Anne Michaels (This was my most anticipated pick from the 2024 Booker Prize shortlist. I love WW1 history and historical fiction and the concept of the ghosts sounds so intriguing)
SPQR by Mary Beard (This is a behemoth of a book which has been on my shelf for at least five years. I'm so sorry, Mary!)
The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett (This was inspired by Passing by Nella Larsen - one of my favourite books of 2023 - so I'm very excited to find out how Bennett translates those themes into a modern context)
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck (I have been buddy reading this with my remarkable best friend for almost a year now. We are big Steinbeck fans - having tackled East of Eden together a few years ago - but we are also busy women. This will be finished and relished in 2025!)
She Who Became the Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan (I try to read some fantasy every year to remind myself of the beauty in a little magic. Parker-Chan's debut novel has so much acclaim that I feel I'm sure to love it)
Sanditon by Jane Austen (Now that I've read all of Austen's complete novels, it's only natural that I move onto the uncompleted works and short stories)
Eleanor of Acquitaine: A Life by Alison Weir (I bought this because I know altogether too much about the Tudors and next to nothing about the Plantagenets. However, I know that Alison Weir has a dubious reputation as a historian so I will take this book with a pinch of salt and continue to fact-check throughout)
A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle (I recognise this is technically only a short story not a book but I have a lovely collection of Sherlock Holmes stories, gifted to me by my aunt and uncle some years ago, and I must make a dent in it!)
Middlemarch by George Eliot (SPQR has a rival for the heftiest book which I intend to read this year. I've never read any Eliot but have heard nothing but praise for her writing so it's high time to remedy that)
Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston (There's not much to say about this other than I read a snippet a while back and was hooked but decided to save it for the summertime)
