It certainly sounds like the US reboot might be happening, anon! Funnily enough, Amazon Prime is actually making an Australian version too right now (it's wrapped shooting - my sister did some dailies on it right at the end of filming - but it doesn't come out until next year) and they've genderflipped Michael Scott which I'm mmmm, unsure about? But yes! A reboot! I think of the core cast, I'd probably go:

Randall Park as Michael Scott

Funnily enough, he was actually in the original US adaptation as Asian Jim, but I think he'd kill it as Michael. Michael really is a complicated character in the US version, and finding the balance between the obnoxiousness, the callousness, and the genuine kindness and vulnerability that lies at the heart of the character isn't easy, but it's something I think he'd do (and does in other roles!) so well.

Jimmy O. Yang as Dwight Schrute

He kind of feels like an obvious choice given a lot of his previous roles, but I think he's got a good screen presence and an ability to make roles his own, which is what anyone tackling Dwight would need to do - Rainn Wilson's performance is pretty distinct, after all! I feel he could really nail it while bringing something new to it too.

(Also Dwight and Angela are lowkey my favourite relationship dynamic on the show, haha. I'm not sure yet who I'd cast as Angela. Maybe Andrea Bang?)

Alisha Boe as Pam Beesly

I've had a really big soft spot for Alisha Boe since 13 Reasons Why which is, y'know, not a good show, but I always think she did the best she had with the material she was given. I watched Poms for the first time a few weeks ago too which, yes! Also bad! But she was as charming and watchable in that as a lot of that wildly stacked cast was, which speaks for itself. That warmth, playfulness and sort of gentle self-consciousness of Pam is something I think she could do really well in, especially opposite...

Taylor Zakhar Perez as Jim Halpert

LOOK, I don't think he's the best actor, but I do think he's extremely charismatic and likeable on screen, which is 95% of the battle with a character like Jim, who on paper can actually be pretty unlikeable (like, don't get me wrong, I do like him, but in the hands of an actor less charismatic than John Krasinski [who btw I think is also more charismatic than talented], I think his actions would be read pretty differently than they are. Plus he sells the yearning in Red White and Royal Blue! And that's really what a sitcom like The Office and a ship like Jim and Pam need!

So I’m rewatching 13 Reasons Why and I forgot two things:

I hate the premise of Hannah blaming people for her suicide when most of them didn’t deserve to be on that list and she was just as responsible for things. The entire plot hinges on a revenge fantasy that’s just absolutely disgusting.

This show is really fucking boring. I never even finished season one. I’m 15 minutes into the first episode and I already don’t care because nothing is happening.

I bitch a lot about Riverdale handling subjects like mental illness/abuse/assault poorly (because it does) but at least Riverdale isn’t usually boring.

Also this show never should have gotten a second season.

it's not your fault - joseph quinn

being with a celebrity is a hard decision but it was the right one when you met joseph. you weren't as big on screen as joseph was because of his role in stranger things.

you worked with big time actors like josephine langford on after and alisha boe on 13 reasons why but you never really had a big family thing with them like joe does. his cast is an amazing group of people so when his character eddie was a big hit, his fame went sky high. his other movies and tv shows were popular because he was in them and everyone wanted to see his other characters.

when joe invited you to a party with the gang, you were very hesitant at first because you didn't want to feel like you were interrupting anything but joe being the sweetheart he is, he convinced you to go by saying "sweetheart, they are going to love you i promise." he kept that promise because 2 years later you were very close with sadie, millie, natalia and maya. they were your best friends. when you all got together, you'd go for coffee dates with them or you'd go to big events with them.

when joseph told you he was going to london's comic con, you immediately told the girls and they were proud of him and were glad he was getting the attention that he deserved after his performance in season 4.

the opportunity was a big one for joe and you were so supportive of him. you went with him to the airport, you were upset he was leaving but you were happy you were able to see him become happy with his job.

"i'll be back in a few days my love, i'll see you very soon! don't think i won't call you every second i get." he said placing his forehead against yours.

"i'll see you soon baby, i love you! be safe please!" you said giving him one final kiss before he headed towards security.

he waved at you and smiled. he blew you kisses while he walked away. he nearly fell because he wasn't paying attention which made you both laugh at his silliness.

the days he was gone went by slow. you missed him so much so when you went on instagram, you saw this video of him from comic con and he looked upset. you watched it and heard everything the girl said and you got upset. joe was treated horribly and that girl definitely made his day, you could see all the love and appreciation he had in his face.

you couldn't believe he was treated so horribly. you wanted to text him but you knew he'd want to talk about it when he got home. when he did get home, he looked upset and angry at the same time. you hadn't noticed the door open, you were too busy cleaning up the loft.

you turned around when you heard him putting his stuff down, you knew he was still thinking about what happened.

"sweetheart, come here." you said with open arms.

he accepted it right away. he held you so tight. he started to get upset and all you did was give him a kiss on the forehead and rubbed his back.

"my sweet boy, you shouldn't have been treated like that at all. i'm so sorry. it's not your fault that you were treated like that. i'm glad your fans had your back against the staff." you said hugging him tighter.

he hugged you and picked you up. he swung you in the air and let you down with his forehead pressed against yours.

"i felt so loved by my supporters/fans like they were my family. i never thought my character would be so loved and i realized that no matter what they will always have my back." he said smiling.

"they will always have your back my love, you are such a sweet and genuine actor. i've seen so many posts about you these past few days. they absolutely loved meeting you! you made their day by just saying hi or smiling at them." you said smiling at him and wiping away his tears.

he loved you so much and everyone knew it. he showed you all the time. even if it was just a simple gesture like a kiss on the forehead or even just one rose he found at the market, he thought it was the most perfect rose for his perfect girl.

"i love you so much darling, you are too perfect." he said kissing you.

you kissed him back and showed him how perfect he is. he appreciated you so much for having his back and he knew he could get through any little bump in his life when you were near.

his phone started blowing up with all the love and appreciation the fans were sending him on instagram and he saw the video of him tearing up on stage. he was so grateful for everyone of his fans and supporters. he looked at you with his beautiful brown eyes and hugged you so tight.

"it's not my fault, it's never my fault. they love me regardless." he whispered.

"that's right baby, you're so right!" you whispered back to him.

he was so thankful for you. you showed him how he was supposed to be treated and even if things went wrong, he knew you'd be there to defend his honor and you'd be next to the people who love him for him and not because he's famous.

his fans were his everything and so were you...

Yara Shahidi as Nicole Perry. Look at that smile. I love her so much, and her beauty matches Neil so well. I really love her in The Sun is Also a Star.

Alisha Boe as Tommie Anderson. Alright, confession time: I’ve never seen 13 Reasons Why. But I was looking for another young actress and I started watching compilations of her in that show, and fell in love. She’s stunning and talented and she seems to encapsulates vulnerability very well. Oopsie I went off on a tangent.

Madeleine Arthur as Charlotte “Charlie” Dalton. I love her in TATBILB. That’s it. I rest my case.

Amandla Stenberg as Kiera Overstreet. OMG her in Everything, Every Thing is what fuels me. I also love Nick Robinson. Her in The Hate U Give is also incredibly moving. Did I mention I lover her too? Her work I think is incredibly important when it comes to representation.

Paris Berlec as Sadie Meeks. She is the best part of the shit show that is Tall Girl. I love her and she comes off very smart and educated, but also sweet and adorable just like Meeks. 

Kristine Froseth as Grace Pitts. She’s tall and beautiful. That’s it. 

Madelaine Petsch as Roxanne Cameron. Aww we are keeping the evil red-head train going. She’s gorgeous and evil but I also don’t want to see her get punched in the face so I’m conflicted. Tbh what else is new.

Janelle Monáe as Josephine Keating. Hidden Figures

was such an amazing film, and her performance is flawless. She would bring a little more edge and sarcasm to Keating and would be a fantastic and empowering teacher.

Asa Butterfield as Christopher “Chris” Noel. I love Sex Education. I’d love to see him work with Amandla Stenberg. Also he’s so sweet, which matches as Chris.

12. Best cliff-hanger? 

I mean, of course it happened to me when I was like WTF is this ending, now I should wait for a week to see what’s next?? But for some reason I remember the feeling, but can’t remeber what exactly caused it xDD That’s why I’ll just say the ending of the first season of Lost. This show is so iconic, and I remeber how we all were wondering what’s there in that hole underground?? I don’t even believe that Justin would have been admitted to rehab without testing. Especially because he was most likely sent to a youth rehab. Most rehabs, esp ones for kids, require blood testing for any abnormalities because it’s a medical center and they need to make sure they’re not liable for you getting sick or hurt under their watch. I was in treatment when I was younger (I wasn’t an addict, but I knew kids who were) and everyone was tested for all sorts of things. There’s just no way.

I take a break from the office today and went to doctor for some meds also watch the last episode of 13 Reasons Why season 4. I'm not the big fan for the last 3 seasons since Hannah died, I hate season 2 Hannah - Zach relationship feel strange to me, but I keep watching this show anyway to see Miles Heizer and Alisha Boe.

Jessica is my favorite character, I like to see her character development since season 1 until she stand up for herself after being raped, became student president and make a feminist club.

Favorite part of this season :

Alex - Charlie Relationship! the way Charlie trying to calm Alex when he had panic attack, how Charlie ask Alex to go to prom with him, the moment they win as King and King of Prom,

the brave moment of Alex confess to Winston! finally Winston get what his ego want but don't know what to do after that cause he love Alex, I feel scared when Zach confess to Winston but in the end I love to see his confuse reaction trough the fact. The graduation is my favorite moment too also Clay's speech for graduation (beside Jess speech that F patriarchy...)

i suffer from anxiety... and depression. but mostly anxiety. i sometimes think all of us kids do, in some way. and now how could we not, with this world the way it is? we hear a lot of promises that things will get better. and... and, look, maybe they will, maybe they won't. and what i think i've learned, what i wanna say to you... is whatever happens, keep moving. get through it. choose to live. 'cause even on the worst day, there are people who love you. there's new music waiting for you to hear, some... something you haven't seen before that will blow your mind in the best way. even on the worst day, life is a pretty spectacular thing. thank you. good luck.

About Clay.. Clay was quiet trigerring in this season as someone who had a mental health problem you may get the trigger watching Clay in this season giving you anxiety and things especially when Clay went lost control and scream.

Justin's death surpised me I didn't expect that even Justin lifestyle before he went to Jensen's family is possibly infect him to HIV. This moment make me sad until Justin last moment with Jess and Clay. I almost cry when Clay read Justin essay for college that Clay is giving him positive influence in life.

Beside awful stories of the last 3 seasons of this series the character development in every character is still great, Jess, Tyler, Clay, and others. In the end they bury Hannah's tape that start it all.

I will probably miss them.

Andrea means Brave and Mona means Noble Good. The name Andrea came up after her brother was named Zachary, A to Z. The Mona Lisa is a gorgeous, famous piece of art of a mystery woman. While the name was originally just meant to be an homage, Drea rather likes the idea of being a mystery woman, whatever that might mean. She loves her name, she thinks it’s original and surprisingly artistic considering her parents. The only thing she doesn’t like about it is the nickname Andy.

Literally every Aquarius trope known to man (elusive, creative, spontaneous, inconsistent, and stubborn). Equally distant and overbearing parents. The wanderer: never settling, always feeling as though there’s something more. Attention and approval seeking teenager, constantly needing to be validated. Cool Girl Complex, moulding herself to be what she thinks everyone wants, feeling as though she’s not being genuine because of that. Seemingly effortless, appears to not have to put much work into her grades, looks, or anything but it’s not quite the case.

8. How long have they been at Broadripple?

Since freshman year so three years.

9. What led them to apply to Broadripple? Was it a decision made by them or by their parents/guardians or somewhere in between?

Her brother attended an all boys private boarding school when he had been going through high school so it had already been decided Drea would be going to a private boarding school it was just a matter of which one. Drea chose Broadripple out of series of options provided to her by her parents. It was close enough to Milford that she could go home if she really wanted to, but far enough away that her parents probably wouldn’t come visit regularly. She could be free from her parents watchful, judgemental gaze, but not completely detached.

10. Whether they’ve been at Broadripple four days or four years, do they enjoy it? Do they like Broadripple?

In some ways she loves it, in others she hates it. Mostly she likes it. The pros outweigh the cons and the cons were always going to appear at any boarding school she attended. All her friends are there and she adores her friends. She dreads going back to Milford for summer, winter, and especially Thanksgiving break. She hates that her school shirts are itchy that her ass doesn’t look as good in the school skirt as it does in tight jeans. She hates the way teachers catch her when she tries to get away with breaking the rules, but she loves the adrenaline when she does get away with it.

She’s in Melleray and she could not care less about her house. She uses house events as an opportunity to either lay in the sun or to try napping with her eyes open.

12. Who do they share a dorm with, or are they on their own for the moment? What are they like to live with? Are they clean or messy? Early risers or night owls?

She shares a dorm with Kat Bishop, her best friend and soul sister. Which is tragic for everyone around them. She’s somewhere between clean and messy. Things have a place but it just doesn’t look very neat. She also likes trying on five different outfits and hates putting clothes away so the end of her bed is usually covered in clothes until she gets annoyed at the weight on top of the duvet when she sleeps. Drea’s sleep schedule is a mystery to everyone. Some nights she’ll be awake until four am listening to old One Direction songs for no good reason at all and other nights she’ll fall asleep watching a movie at 7:30. But she’s certainly not a morning person. She will cradle a coffee and a bleary eyed look until second period at least. 

13. How is your character’s dorm decorated? Is it bare or bursting at the seems with personality? Any particular sentimental items from home?

Having been at Broadripple for three years Drea has collected some real junk in her dorm. She still has books from freshman year pushed to the back of her desk even though she should really just give them to the library. She has a lot of art supplies, multiple notebooks, loads of pens and pencils (shoved haphazardly in a small pot she got from urban outfitters one time that lives on her desk). Her wall is decorated in a small collection of postcards and photos. The postcards are generally museum postcards, copies of artworks she likes, but there are a few depicting the beaches of Spain and Portugal, the Eiffel Tower, the Sculpture of David, and Roman Ruins at sunset. Photos on the wall include some with her friends, some with her family. There’s also a couple of drawings scattered in amongst the rest of the images. Mostly by her, at least one by Jay. She has a peach crocheted blanket from home and an old Yale sweatshirt that she stole from her dad’s closet. They don’t stand out among the rest of her belongings and she doesn’t treat them any different but she would be very upset if she lost them. 

14. What is their favourite subject at school? Do they even have a favourite? Why?

Probably programming though she wouldn’t admit it. She likes the creative side of code, trying to make things work and look nice and flow. Second to that would be Chemistry, she rather likes science. It something that makes sense to her quite easily and it’s the more interesting of the “traditional” classes that she takes. Third, ASL. But again, she would never admit any of that because school is for nerds. 

15. Are they involved in any clubs? Which ones?

She’s in the Women of Broadripple Club and just like, really shouldn’t be. Her mom signed her up when dropped her off at Broadripple in her first year despite not contributing to the group at all she’s never been bothered to leave the group. She usually shows up to meetings hungover and has a little nap up the back.

16. How does your character feel about Broadripple’s Unofficial Clubs? Do they know about them? Are they a part of any of them?

She definitely knows about the Broadripple Boys Club and the Unauthorised Chastity Club but probably doesn’t think Broadripple Unsolved is real. BAU is just a bunch of nerds hanging out and thinking about jerking off aliens and calling it a club as far as she’s concerned. Feels kind of similar about the Chastity club but instead of jerking off aliens its jerking off God. She avoids the Chastity club at all costs, she really does not like dealing with them and would rather make fun of them from a distance. Now the BBC, she really thinks she should be one of them, she really does. But seeing as they don’t take female members, she’ll settle for trying to impress them, flirting with them, and stealing booze at their parties ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

17. Does your character participate in any sports? If so, what made them join the team?

She’s on the Cross Country team, in her freshman year she was also on the Track team but she decided in sophomore year that she’d rather just do cross country. She prefers it, track is such a competition to be the best and be the fastest, and she’s just not an especially competitive person. But she likes running, it really clears her mind so she kept up cross country.

18. What afternoon activities does your character do? Do they just do the one mandatory one or are they involved in multiple? Why?

She used to just do the one, just painting (because she’s an artistic ass bitch and it was her one school appointed time to be creative) but since having an argument with her parents over the summer she has since started tutoring. While she’s quite smart and gets good grades, she’s a horrendous tutor. She tends to get things in class very easily so explaining them to people who don’t understand them first go is very hard for her. She gets frustrated and probably ends up doing a lot of their work for them.

19. Do they miss their home when they’re at Broadripple? Do they often go home for the weekends or do they only go home during holiday breaks?

Not especially. She goes through phases where she might feel homesick, if she’s not talking to her friends for whatever reason and feeling rather lonely. But for the most part she likes the distance. In the three years she’s been at Broadripple she’s probably only gone home on the weekends two or three times. 

20. Did your character know Izzy De Santis or Maggie Monroe? 

She knew them both though neither well. She had written them off mostly as religious freaks that she didn’t want to associate with. Freaky minions of God that would tell her she was going to hell if she didn’t repent for the amount of booty pics she sent.

21. Has your character heard of Edith Lynch? Do they know the story?

She’s heard of her and she knows the story. During probably her first week of Broadripple the girls got together and told the spooky story and that’s what Drea thinks it is: a story. She knows Edith was real but she thinks the story she heard has probably been blown way out of proportion and she’s never looked into it so she has no idea if that’s true or not.

22. How does your character feel about Nighmore? Have they noticed the recently closed shops yet?

She thinks Nighmore is super weird. She gets a really weird vibe from the people and would rather go anywhere else but it’s just so conveniently close, especially since she doesn’t have a car. She has noticed the closed shops because Kat got hysterical about not being able to buy potatoes.

who is your favorite character in 2? Steve Harrington. my number one boy from the 80s. absolute Dad™ energy beyond belief.

who is your least favorite character in 1? um maybe otis? or principal groff? idk and it’s not that i hate otis it’s just main characters with boring storylines (like his in s2) spend somuch time on screen and i get tired of seeing them over more interesting characters.

what is your favorite episode of 4? either 3x09 because the Depth™ of the third act where justin is stuck in this cycle of addiction where he gets himself into situations where he shouldn’t be using and he realises he’s fucked up, but then is met with more drugs from bryce and so he just takes them. as the song screams during the football game ‘we’ll be together forever and ever and ever’ its a metaphor for his addiction. or 2x12 bc justin’s testimony is perfect and it breaks my heart finally seeing his redemption arc come around.

how did you become interested in 3? i watched it when it came out on tv and i just love sitcoms so i got really into it. all the characters are so funny, and jonah and amy are one of the few sitcom couples i’ve found myself shipping.

who is your favorite actor in 4? brandon flynn or alisha boe. no hesitation there. both genuinely as actors, but also their acting on the show and their work outside of the show.

Most Epic Villain: All the villains of this show are disgusting people, so no one.

Pairing I am not a fan of: Anything involving Br*ce and M*nty because r*pists shouldn’t be shipped with anybody (looking at you, M*nty/W*nston shippers). Clay/Ani because do they seriously expect me to believe that Clay has absolutely no problem with dating someone who had sex with Hannah and Jessica’s r*pist? Jesus. Also, Alex/Jessica because Jessica doesn’t love him that way, and it’s not healthy for Alex to keep chasing after someone who doesn’t return his feelings. Let the kid move on.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Listen, I don’t mind that Alex killed Br*ce because the POS deserved it, but I don’t want Alex to end up in jail. That’s not a good ending for a character who survived a suicide attempt. Also, Ani. There are a million interesting ways her character could have been written, but the writers chose to make her a nosy r*pe apologist who was shoved into everyone’s narrative and used as a prop to humanize Br*ce. That’s disgusting, and Grace Saif deserved better than that.

Favourite Friendship: Clay/any of his friends, tbh. Also, Alex/Jessica/Hannah because FML forever.

Character I most identify with: I relate a lot to both Hannah and Jessica. I always see some bits of myself in Clay and Alex.

How I feel about this character: Beautiful, smart, caring, and has a huge heart. A truly amazing character that I love.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Alex, Tyler, Clay, Greg, Olivia.

My unpopular opinion about this character: idk if this is unpopular, but she’s one of the best characters on this show, has every single right to be upset, and Alisha Boe is one of the strongest actors.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish she had gotten to punch Br*ce in the face. I wish she could have gotten the chance to call out Ani for having a friendship/sexual relationship with her r*pist, because I feel like it was a disservice to her character not to give her a chance to say anything… the whole season was about Jessica getting her voice back, after all. Also, I wish we could have seen some more Jess/Hannah flashbacks in season 2. Jessica still cared about Hannah and I feel like some people forget that. I wish she had been the one to be there for Chloe. I liked the Chloe/Zach stuff, but both Jessica and Chloe have a lot in common, and they gave them 0 scenes in season 3… shame on the writers. I wish she had found out that Nina stole the polaroids. I know Samantha Logan was probably busy filming All American to be on the show, but that storyline shouldn’t have been dropped. We better get some more scenes with Jessica and her parents next season. Oh, and I really hope she doesn’t get in any trouble, because she used part of Br*ce’s tape during her speech :/

Favorite friendship for this character: Alex, but also Tyler. The Jess/Tyler stuff this season was amazing.

My crossover ship: Jessica/Tyra Collette from Friday Night Lights. idk why, it just occurred to me, lol.
