Because they're less of a "save the day" connected-by-magical-plot-devices group, they're more or less regular adult friends. I really wanna use Pinkie/Rosita and Fluttershy/Félicie as the emotional, empathetic anchors of the group, especially in strengthening Rosita and AJ's familial friendship.
