How various FE Engage Characters would react to receiving Valentine chocolate....

Alfred 

-Alfred would be so pumped! He would pull you into a hug as soon as you handed it to him.

 “Wow these are so nice! I feel so loved! Though I feel a bit bad that I haven’t gotten you anything yet.” 

-He eats all the chocolates immediately. He does mention that the chocolates that have a floral notes are especially tasty. 

-To make up for his lack of a present, he tries to take you on a run so you have to get him to let his stomach settle before he makes himself sick. 

-Later, he gifts you a large and beautiful bouquet of Firenese flowers as thanks. 

“Thank you, [Y/N]. Though these beautiful buds will one day will 

Diamant

-Diamant would look quite stoic as he gracefully takes the chocolates from you.

-He sneaks a bite of one of them and hums as he savors the taste of it. He mentions that the grape flavor reminds him of some of his favorite dishes. 

“You are quite skilled in making chocolate. Perhaps I should hire you personally to make chocolate for me.”

-He blushes at his own words. 

“Obviously you mean more to me than just making sweets tolerable. What I mean to say is thank you for the gift. It is very lovely that you considered my tastes so carefully.”

-He offers you a polished and cut gemstone set in a bracelet made specially for you. Though he wouldn’t say it, it took a lot of effort to get it crafted from the gem he mined personally for you. 

Alcryst 

-Alcryst would be so confused. He wonders if someone dared you to give him a gift.

 “I’m so sorry that you would even have to waste this precious chocolate on me.”

-Once you explain that you made them specifically for him and put a lot of love into making them, his eyes get wide.

”I’m so sorry if I was insulting your feelings. How rude of me! I just never thought you would give such a lovely gift to me of all people. Even if I had really hoped you would find it in your heart to offer it to someone as lowly as me.”

-He quickly opens them to eat a few to show his appreciation. He picks out the flavors exactly and asks how you made them. He might not actually try to make the chocolate himself especially since he doesn’t often eat sweets, but he wants to show he really does appreciate the effort you put in for him.

Griss

-Griss would look oddly disappointed as you hand him the box of chocolates. 

 “What’s this? Chocolate? I’m not about that sweet stuff, babe. You know I like something more... substantial.”

-When you tell him that they are for him to give to you as rewards as you dish out his real present, a wicked grin stretches across his face. He seems extremely pleased at the thought.

- He pulls out a necklace with a small empty vial as the pendant. 

“I thought we could at one more event to tonight. I even know exactly where you should carve me open to really fill that thing up.”

Mauvier

Mauvier at first would be concerned at the chocolates that you present to him. 

“I can’t accept these, [Y/N]. I’m afraid that I do not enjoy them all that much. Please gift them to someone who will truly be able to accept them wholeheartedly.”

-When you explain to him that they are specifically filled with apple and nut milk pie filling, his serious expression melts. 

“Forgive me for jumping to conclusions. These are especially thoughtful. Would you like to eat these with me? There is a particular hill I think that would make a fine place for a picnic.”

-He does have a gift for you that he crafted himself, but he’d rather give it to you once sitting among the flowers looking out over the beautiful scenery. 

Pandreo 

-Pandreo would take the chocolate and immediately start praying for thanks that you would give him a beautiful gift like this. 

“Bless you, [Y/N]. May your kindness be returned to you ten-fold.”

-He of course invites you to his Valentines party in return. Normally he would go around to other people, but even in the crowd, his attention never leaves you. 

“I can’t wait to party with you till the sun comes up, [Y/N].” 

-During the party, he sings you a song that he wrote specifically for you.

Do you have any head cannons for Alfred, Alear, Etie, and Veyle?

I absolutely do!!! Thank you so much for the ask Anon, this was so much fun!

I have quite a few, so I'm going to put them in a list:

Alfred:

Even though he wants to be strong and exercises a lot, he's actually not that strong, in fact, he's fairly delicate physically.

He has this sort of beautiful handsome prince air about him that is immediately shattered when he opens his mouth, it's hard to be a mysterious heart throb when the first thing out of your mouth is "what's your favourite muscle?"

He eats pretty much plain chicken an boiled veg because he's worried that eating anything too adventurous will set off an attack

He's besties with Yunaka, and even though they didn't have supports in the game, I like to think that he actively seeks out Alcryst because he likes to make people feel happier

He struggles with his body image, and feels uncomfortable in the pool when there are guys with his ideal body type there, particularly Seadal and Diamant

He loves dogs.

Alear:

Alear is autistic and ADHD (Me projecting? More likely than you think)

She has a lot of issues with self disgust due to her heritage and trauma, but she is working on it, particularly with the help of Veyle who struggles with a lot of the same stuff.

Due to her having nightmares (Tiki bond convo) she likes to sleep with Sommie, and post S-support struggles to sleep without her pact ring person (cough Alfred cough). An emblem will do, but she prefers something physically there to hug.

She loves watching birds, and would love lofi if it existed in the FE universe (maybe it does?)

She plays piano, but only by ear, she found trying to learn reading music restrictive.

She doesn't have much of a sense of pain, which is why so many supports have a 'let me fix you up, since you don't take care of yourself' bit, because, not only is she a bit reckless, but also can't really tell when she's hurt.

Her eyes do the cat eye shining thing and some of her teeth are sharp.

Her hair, due to the magic dragon thing, always pools or billows in just the right way with just the right lighting, Hortensia is envious. I like to draw her a little more chubby than she is in game because body diversity in fire emblem exists if I say it exists

Etie:

She's not super tall, but is wide and buff - body diversity in fire emblem exists if I say it exists!

Her hair is quite thin, so she puts a lot of effort into styling it

She says her favourite food is her protein shakes, but really, her favourite food is Boucheron's home baked jam donut.

She loves the smell of honeysuckle and citronella candles relax her, when she went camping with Temerra and Fogado, she had no trouble sleeping because of how comforting she found the smell.

She gets really bad cramps, so once a month she always needs at least one day in bed with a hot water bottle and the Ibuprofen equivalent, I don't know why this is a head canon of mine, I just know that it's true.

She has freckles! She deserves freckles!

Veyle:

I love Veyle.

She trims her own bangs, which is why they're choppy.

She wears the broken bits of the dragon stone as a sort of good luck charm.

She goes nonverbal when seriously stressed, and tends to use a younger voice when coming out of it. She has some age regressive behaviours on bad anxiety days.

She loves to have her hair brushed, and likes Alear doing it best of all.

She doesn't like physical contact unless its with someone she trusts and who has explained what sort of physical contact it will be, hug, hair ruffle etc.

She's really not very good at setting boundaries after her time with Sombron, which means sometimes with people who are a bit more outgoing or heavy-handed, like Temerra or Etie, she feels overwhelmed and struggles to express her needs. She often likes to have someone to help her express herself in that sort of situation.

She uses her hair as a self soothing method.

I love your Draconification au so much can you please do a fluffy headcanon with Alfred and alear (you don't have to draw anything if you don't want to)

I’m glad you like the au, didn’t think people would like it as very much lol. I have a few head cannons with Alfred and Alear that I can share, not sure if they would be considered fluffy tho

- when going back to the somneil after Lumera’s death. Alear wasn’t sure what to do with herself as everyone one else was settling in or cleaning up the somneil. She just explored the area collecting rocks and she sat down by the lookout stacking the rocks she’s found and drawing in the dirt with a stick. Eventually Alfred finds her there and takes her to get paper to draw on instead. Since then she started to draw and paint as well as show him the rocks she’s collected

- Alear always tries to join in with Alfred’s training/runs when she’s available because she likes to see his smile on his face when she and him do workouts together

- Towards the end of the war after they gave each other the embroidery and ring, Alfred would sleep with Alear in her room as Alfred’s attacks would continue to get worse during the night (that’s where Alear used to the spell that accidentally turned him into a dragon because she didn’t want to lose him so early) and Alear’s memories of the past would haunt her sleep.

-After the war, when both Alfred got his dragonstone and Alear figured out a way to transform into a dragon with her emblem ring they would fly to each other to visit the other after missing the other for so long

- once Alfred stepped down from being king and moved to Lythos to be with Alear, he started to help cook for Alear since he new how much she loved sweets and just wanted to see her smile

- When Céline had passed away many years later, Alfred couldn’t get himself to do anything. He would just sleep or spend time in Alear’s art studio. Alear took notice of him taking care of the plants in her studio and how he looked somewhat happy. She decided to gift him a little area within the castle that’s strictly his own personal garden he could work on. Alfred was surprised at first but ended up loving the garden and he got back up from feeling so down. The loss of Céline was still hard on him but the weight wasn’t saying him down so much. Alfred loved to work on the garden and would try to get Alear as involved with the garden as possible

I could imagine that when any unit change into their "engage forms" they do something like magical girl transformation. But when it's comes to emblem tiki, their transformation is like those of monster / were creature's like they grow tail, fangs , claws etc. ( but they still the same person inside)

I headcanon Alfred has Crohns disease. I've heard speculation that he was named after the IRL Anglo-Saxon king Alfred tbe Great, who had Chrons as well. So I headcanon Alfred fire emblem engage to have it

Can't believe Fire Emblem: Engage gave us such a strongly autism-coded character! I love Bunet so much, and the information we get about him makes me so happy as a neurodivergent person!!!

His dislikes list is mostly composed of sensory issues (strong odors, loud places, bright places, heavily flavored foods)

In his C support with Pandreo, he states that he avoids parties because they're too noisy for him.

Next, in their B support, when Pandreo informs Bunet that the food he prepared for his party wasn't exactly fitting for the party atmosphere (A fancy banquet rather than easy finger foods), Bunet takes it extremely hard despite receiving praise for its flavor. The notion that he still did something wrong is crushing to him- just like how neurodivergent people feel with rejection sensitive dysphoria

At the end of their B support, Bunet states that he will finally attend a party so that he may understand the atmosphere and redeem himself next time he caters. Their A support takes place after a party hosted by Panreo that Bunet attends, and, well...

Bunet is very clearly overstimulated from it all

There's also the fact that cooking is clearly not just a passion for Bunet, but rather a special interest. He's jumping at the bit to discover new flavors, recipes, etc etc. despite how odd it may seem (Like in Alfred's C support with Bunet where Bunet asked to taste the flower from his crown) He even tries to fulfill this discovery of flavors by...asking to lick people- which may not seem socially acceptable or like a strange thing to request- but to Bunet, it's not weird. It makes perfect sense to him, a neurodivergent person.

I love his character so much and would love to hear any other canon information relating to him being autistic, or any headcanons people may have!

ABSOLUTELY! I was going to wait to write till I finished engage, but I will write these right now.

-Alfred LOVES cuddling. He definitely doesn't have a preference being the big or little spoon just as long as you agree. Though he actually does like being the little spoon a lot when he is feeling anxious.

-He is the type that squeezes super tight and whines when you try to get out of his embrace before he is ready.

-If you are laying down in bed cuddling him or on the couch and you start stroking his hair, he will go to sleep. He is just so comfy and warm that he can't help himself.

-Alternatively, if you fall asleep in his arms, he won't be able to go to sleep and will watch your sleeping face till you wake up.

-Since he likes to plan his day around training/ exercising, cuddling is always scheduled afterwards. If he is feeling particularly tired, he might try to cuddle you still totally drenched in sweat. He really doesn't understand what the issue is and will pout about how you don't love him if you try to tell him he is all wet. Just let him know you will be happy to cuddle him once he is clean, and he will be on his merry way.

-As the prince of flowers, he goes enjoy relaxing to the smell of a flowery candle burning which makes simple cuddling sessions feel particularly special.

-He likes it when you run your hands across his muscles to check out his gains or lack there of from all the work he puts in everyday. It makes him feel good!

Ok but I have a random headcanon about the Alfred and Alear's B support:

What if the reason the flute music is haunting to Alear is because it’s an old folk song passed down Alfred’s ancestors and was played during an execution - one of the divine dragons family or followers loved it and out of respect/ defiance to the fell executioner it was played by a separate follower (think opening to Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End). So it's a normal lullaby, but Alear gets weird vibes because of being there 1000 years ago when the song was a tune sung by Sombron's enemies before they were executed.

Do you have any thoughts on Lumera's relationships with Past Alear, Alfred, and Vander?

Ooh, good question.

I think that past Alear and Lumera deserved more screen time together, I think that their relationship would be really interesting to explore and would be massively hurt comfort. Maybe when Lumera's family died, she lost a child, maybe she was never able to have children, but I think that she really wanted to be a mother either way, and P!Alear was therefore perfect for her, since they desperately needed a kind parent. I think that there would be lots of comforting a broken woman who had lost everything, and lots of comforting a broken girl who had been torn down again and again and would be unable to accept or understand the most basic of love expressions. I think that there would be bedtime stories, and hugs on the sofa, and toys, and nice foods, and gentle affirmation and praise to try and build what Alear never had and claim back some of those childhood comforts. I think many things about these two actually, maybe I should go and write a fanfic.

Lumera's relationship with Alfred would have been like a kind auntie. He would have been quite small when he first met her, so to him she would be the cool magic lady. I think in childhood Alfred probably didn't have many friends to try and keep him as safe and healthy as possible, so probably made up stories about his best friend the Devine dragon Alear, even though they hadn't woken up yet. I also like to think that it was a birthday treat every year for Eve, Alfred and Celine to go and visit Lumera, hence windflowers for his birthday.

I kind of thought originally that Vander and Lumera had something romantic going on, especially when Alfred said that she had given him flowers and Vander said that she had given him flowers too, and then Alfred said, "was it your birthday too?" But I have no idea if that was intentional or not, so even though I have no evidence for it, I think that there was probably some pining or blossoming romance there.

Fire emblem heroes headcanons

1. When the Order of Heroes gets an ample amount of heroes you just end up saying at some point "Wow, you lot need therapy" and Dimitri and Edelgard are like "What's therapy?"

...

That explains so much.

So you tell sharena and a few other heroes the concept, and they jump on that immediately, and just like that the Order of Heroes has a therapy group.

2. The more avid readers of the order started a book club, only Ashe and Chloe come to mind at the moment. The club has too many members to list but here's a few, Corrin, Lucina, Ingrid, Forsyth, Elise,and Sakura.

They meet every Saturday at 3 P.M.

3. Upon learning Grima's history you and the kinder heroes of the order to heal these emotional wounds. Lucina isn't opposed to the idea, but refuses to show sympathy for the one who murdered her father, imagine her surprise when Chrom, Emmeryn, Robin, Tiki(child and adult), and Marth all jump on this wagon.

Grima insists they need no help from worms, but you can't help but notice tears forming in their eyes. A month or so later they still look down on others but they've started calling people by name, it's a start at least.

4. (This is multiple in one) The order's rules only apply the worlds connected by the gateways, the ones you summon from are free game as you can't exactly take experience away. The summoned heroes can travel freely between Askr and their home world, and can bring two guests.(This was mostly done because I don't like the idea of tearing people away from their families with no way to visit)

The heroes also do not age and time in their world is frozen to accommodate this.(this was inspired by Alfred's quote about his flower crown not wilting)

The above headcanons result in different endings for the worlds' stories, whether better or worse depends on the hero and the timeline they came from. An example of a slightly better ending is a cure to the crest blood experiments is found much earlier resulting in multiple Lysitheas finally being able to live a normal life, or a majorly better ending, Rhea sees that she's wrong in Askr and brings her Edelgard there for a discussion, after some explanation and some time they come to an agreement and Fodlan's war is over before it started.

But thanks to Dimioselletria / @dmclemblems for the idea of Alfred and Law as Dimitri's and Claude's kids, in the first place.

Maybe when I look into Tales of Arise and get a sense of Law's character, I'll doodle some headcanons of him as Alfred's sibling. But as the older or younger sibling is the question...?
