iirc you said you wouldn't really touch totk's story for your au but like... just as a thought exercise... what would sheik and/or ganon look like as dragons? 🫣
i've humored the idea of draconification for my au and im kinda in between abt it I can't really 100% confirm if I'll add it to my au but I have drawn draconified Sheik a while back so I'll share that :]
#SORRY THIS IS THE ONLY SCREENSHOT I HAD IN MY HANDS#tbh draconification is probably the only cool idea the game had in story but i wish it was handled better </3#tloz au#sheik#light dragon#my art

"The Guardian Dragon appeared soon after the defeat of the strange Demon Dragon. Soon after it appeared, the blood moon stopped appearing and monsters began to vanish anywhere it passes. Considered the Guardian of Hyrule, its sight often brings courage to the heart of those who observes it. It's often seeing flying alongside the Light Dragon."
BOOM my version of a Dragon Link!
An AU in which reversing Zelda would be impossible... But it was proven she does remember and that she is conscious. Guessing Link's aching heart to see his beloved like this, Mineru offers her stone to him to perform the draconification ritual and join Zelda. Becoming the Guardian of Hyrule, his mere presence alongside Zelda's banishes anything evil on the kingdom's ground, forcing the monsters and gloom to retreat in the Depths.
Now, some design explanations:
I've seen a lot of people making the "mistake" of making him TOO much like his hylian self, which is something I've tried to avoid here
His mane is longer than Zelda's and has two big tufts to remind his bangs
Teal colors because Link has both Courage and Wisdom
The horn is shaped like a blade to remind the Master Sword
If Zelda has golden eyelashes and back rocks/scales (?) I felt like Link would have silver to complement and also to remind the armor of a knight
Chose yellow/gold for his sclera because of the Golden Power and to be a contrast to Zelda's purple
Blue spikes and horn to, again, remind the blue blade of the Master Sword
If you're wondering, yes, I've traced over the Light Dragon's picture to use as a base. You really expected me to be able to draw a dragon?
ALSO ! You are more than free to use this design !! Please tell me if you do I would be more than honored

Sage of Swords: A TotK Roleswap AU
Edit: This AU now has a fic, read it here:
https://archiveofourown.org/works/48501826
Basic Roleswap AU between Zelda and Link, with the twist being mostly on Link’s side of things after he gets sent back in time to ancient Hyrule. Lots of people have Link’s Secret Stone be like the Champion’s Blessings, or Time powers in an echo of canon. In this AU, Link’s Secret Stone enhances his resilience, forming an arm brace to keep the gloom at bay, keeping it from killing him but leaving the arm mostly usable, though not strong enough to wield a sword.
Cue Link having an existential crisis as the thing they spent the last five years of their resurrected life and most of their pre-Calamity life training for: being a soldier. Link does not take it well, kind of rejects Sonia and Rauru for a while, training to try and overcome the literal demon energy in their arm even though it’s awful and painful and self-destructive, despite them trying to get him to rest and heal.
Sonia and Rauru take Link to ask Mineru for advice, but they go to her before and go like, “Hey Sis, this feral child will kill themself at literally a 0.1% chance of going home. Maybe don’t mention draconification.” This leaves Link with no hope of going home (Zelda had the hope of improvising her time powers, Link doesn’t even have that), and has to come to terms with figuring who Link is without the sword.
After much tears and bonding with Sonia and Rauru, Link finds out a lot of things about herself, most crucially that she’s a girl. Adjusting and becoming happier with herself, learning little things and hobbies she missed out on.
(Meanwhile, in the present, instead of chasing visions of Link like you chase Zelda in canon, Zelda is chasing sightings of a mysterious “Thief,” a woman in archaic dress and an arm brace like Link left her in the Temple of Time. A “Thief” who carries the Master Sword and might know what happened to Link.)
But of course, things have to end tragically. Ganondorf plans on taking a secret stone, and Link, Rauru and Sonia’s little… adopted daughter? advisor? confidant? Ganondorf’s not sure but she would be the easiest to overpower and steal a stone from. No magic or martial skill to stop him from getting what he rightfully deserves. And he almost succeeds, but (Sonia? Rauru? Unsure which atm, both are juicy drama) step in to take the blow meant for Link.
Link realizes, “Oh, this is what happens when I don’t be a soldier, people die,” and almost all of her character growth gets undone. She fuses her Secret Stone to the Master Sword and uses its evil-sealing properties to forcibly and violently purge the gloom from her body, swearing herself as the Sage of Swords, and begins a self-destructive vengeance that lasts the Imprisoning War.
Will link a Part 2 if I decide to continue this.

Whatever you’re willing to tell us about the Dragon AU, I am more than willing to hear. Do they get to transform back?
I am happy to answer things about that Dragon AU ^^
Yes, don't worry, they do get to transform back.
Peach has to learn a spell through use of her own power, that allows the bros to change back. Luigi is turned back first, and is dazed and confused about what just happened. However, prior to this, Bowser was attacking the dragon bros as a dark beast. Luigi gets hurt, and Mario (still in dragon form and unable to recognise anyone due to his humanity having been lost through the draconification) thinks Luigi is dead, and his sorrow turns into a blinding rage. Unlike everything else, dragon Mario knows this green dragon is special to him. He needs to protect him, and now he's disappeared and he can't find him!
Luigi manages to distract the red dragon, and cries "Mario, it's me!".
And dragon Mario stops. This human, determined but still shaking like a leaf, reminds him so much of the green dragon...And then he realises...it IS the green dragon! He allows Luigi to hug his snout.
"It's ok bro", Luigi says. "I'm here. And so are you..."
And then Peach casts the spell onto Mario, and the red dragon transforms back into a human, his arms wrapped around his younger brother...

TOTK AU idea!! spoilers for the ending of the game!!!
so you know how Zelda got un-dragon-ed by Sonia and Rauru at the end. what if it didn't work right? like, it only *mostly* reverses the draconification, so zelda has horns and a tail and spikes and scales, all that fun shit. But where did all that extra energy go?
It went to the other three dragons, who are now hanging around in hylian-adjacent forms in Hyrule (or the Depths ;)) and having fun/making trouble. I'm going to posit that they didn't start out as mortals like Zelda, so they have more memories of being dragons, unlike Zelda who was 'sleeping'. Also I'm bringing Ganondorf back, but getting exploded has knocked a lot of memories out of his head.
While the defeat of the Demon King has slowed the Blood Moon phenomena and greatly reduced the number of monsters on the surface, it has correlated with a surge in monsters and stalfos in the Depths, making it incredibly difficult to traverse, even by the Yiga. the Gloom has also disappeared from the surface, and only pockets of it remain within the Depths.
Because both Zelda and Link are trying to recuperate and manage the kingdom (and her new body,) they don't find out about this development until a few months after the defeat of the Demon King.
I've been alternating between he/they/she pronouns for all the dragons btw, i don't think they'd particularly care. (all three of the dragons are also wearing their respective armor set for convenience)
More on the dragons below the cut
FAROSH:
They are the tallest of the trio, (3.5m) and also bear the most resemblance to a Gerudo voe.
I have no way to describe his hair other than that it's Gotenks hair. Their hair conveniently sticks up like their horn.
Prefers one-handed weapons and shields.
He wakes up on the shores of Rassla Lake, heads to Tuft Mountain to get the lay of the land, and runs into Bolson.
Farosh: my name is Farosh.
Bolson: like the dragon?
Farosh: ??? of course???
I don't think anyone would immediately clock her as being The Thunder Dragon, just some weird Gerudo who chases off all the pirates.
They don't go to Gerudo Town because she gets mistaken for a voe by a stable attendant, and he misunderstands it as 'dragons aren't allowed'
NAYDRA:
They have the smallest stature, and besides the dragon features he also has a variety of malice scars (a la botw) and feathers (for flavor).
She also has the longest hair, like a waterfall, and white/light blue in color.
Prefers bows and wands/staves.
He initially patrols Mount Lanayru and slowly starts interacting with Kakariko, Hateno, and the Zora as a 'lone wolf monster exterminator'.
I think she would be the first one that Link & Zelda would learn about, and the least cooperative (they don't want to leave their territory.)
I think that their horns would look a bit different than the frostbite headdress, having three large separate spikes with smaller shards in between.
DINRAAL:
Poor Dinraal got their legs while they were in the Depths, and being unable to fly means that he's just kinda stuck down there-- not like she's complaining!
Dinraal is the most muscular of the dragons, and his skin has a rocky texture where it's not covered by scales. Their skin tone is also notably grayer than a normal Hylian.
His hair is very curly, in red/orange/yellow hues, and she keeps it tied back with a metal band.
Prefers two-handed weapons and hammers.
They are the one who finds the returned Ganondorf, who is stumbling through the Depths trying to avoid dying (he is bad at it, because he's lost most of his memories: Dinraal saves him.) She takes him under their metaphorical wing, and tries to teach him how to be the wielder of the triforce of power *without* becoming corrupted by Demise.
thank you for coming to my ted talk. if you want to write/draw anything from this, just tag me because i wanna see 🥺

Can you tell us about the Horn incident?
the simple answer of the horn incident is: a Bad Decision that lost made sprung from misunderstandings and misinterpreting i'll give the tldr and not give all of the details in case kay (the other person working on this au w/ me) wants to write a fic abt it basically the horn incident is a moment that happens soon after lost returns from totk (reminder: he's the one that became a dragon this time around) the chain didnt realize how self sacrificing lost actually is until they learn abt the draconification. the difference between flora and lost is that flora became a dragon as a last resort. for lost, it was always the plan, because what's losing yourself if you don't know who you are? lost doesnt regret his decision, but he Does Not like the looks the chain gives him. genuine concern and worry is interpreted as pity, and he has mixed feelings about the physical changes that happened to him (thicker hair, fangs, face markings, n 3 horns) anyway so as a desperate measure to try and make things go back to how it was, he breaks off one of his horns this results in him losing a lot of blood AND magic almost killing him, hyrule's first time healing him (which was an Experience) and a loud wakeup call to the entire chain that He Needs Help (they all had their own smaller wakeup calls but this is the one that springs them into action) this is the lowest low of lost in this au so thankfully it can only go up from here

Zora May: Draconification
Very long post, end of TotK (possible spoilers idk I didn't finish the game either...), close to the end of Tides that Bind (original Selatoh AU), dots to separate non-flowing scenes.
.
Despite how late at night it was, Selatoh was up a the first sound of Sidon’s footfalls just beyond her door. Ever since Link had left the domain some months ago, Sidon and to a greater extent Selatoh had been awaiting him to call for aid. Though had Sidon known his dear sister was following behind him, he would have made every effort to stop her. It wasn’t until he had rounded the corner, realizing he had a small company of not only Selatoh but Tottika, Bazz, and Gaddison.
“Wha- What?” Sidon stopped, “What are you doing? Especially you Selatoh. You need to remain-”
“Not this time brother.” Selatoh shook her head, “I’ve stayed behind far too many times. It’s time to act and we haven’t the luxury of time.”
As much as Sidon wanted to argue, he knew deep down that Selatoh was correct. Even if they wouldn’t have much to do, Sidon knew that Selatoh had all but sat on the sidelines during her entire life up to this point. At the very least she could remain to tell others what happened…
.
If it weren’t for the massive surge of monsters from all sides, Selatoh would have leapt into the chasm under Hyrule Castle alongside her brother. But the surface, the researchers and fellow fighters needed her more. She wouldn’t let anyone down, not in such a critical moment…
.
No one seemed to know how the Sages emerged from the pit, but Selatoh didn’t care. She didn’t want answers, she wanted to make sure Sidon was okay. Rushing over with Tottika close on her heels, skidding to a halt as she dropped to one knee.
“Sidon, are you alright?” Selatoh was quick to begin her attempts at healing magic, “Where is Link?”
“I don’t know.” Sidon shook his head, small injuries fading, “All I was aware of was Ganondorf using some form of darkened wave to force us Sages out.”
“It’s all up to Link at this point.” The massive automaton known as Mineru spoke with a saddened voice, “It was always destined to fall to the Hylian hero.”
The aggravated hum from Selatoh was hardly audible, yet the look on her face was unmistakable. Even as Tottika gently eased his hand over her arm, he wasn’t certain what to do to help calm her. This was undoubtedly the last thing Selatoh truly wanted to hear, yet there wasn’t anything anyone could do. The blackened, purple-red barrier around the castle was impenetrable, unless the person was willing to take severe damage and fall incurably ill. There was nothing else that could be done at this time…
.
Everyone staggered back as a massive black and red dragon burst from under Hyrule castle. Terror rising as it became clear that Link was up there with only the dark colored dragon.
“What was that!?” Riju yelled, yanking her sword out of the ground, “What happened to Ganondorf?”
“It seems as if he swallowed his Sacred Stone.” Mineru clanked forward, “That's the only thing that could have happened.”
“And he turned into a dragon?” Yunobo scratched his head, “How does that work?”
“No one knows.” Mineru stood still, “However there are theories. The massive amounts of power and energy is seemingly the easiest answer.”
“Look! Is that the Light Dragon?” Selatoh's eyes hadn't left the air, “That one hasn't been seen for some time.”
The settling silence was unnerving, as if Mineru didn't want to admit a harsh truth. Yet Sidon could see the wheels turning in Selatoh's mind, as could Tottika.
“My Lady,” Tottika reached out, “There's hardly a thing we can do at the moment except wait.”
“There is one thing…”
“Do not!” Mineru turned, “There is no possible way to reverse the effects of draconification. There will never be a way to return to yourself. Nor will you have any memories of who you were. Nothing of yourself will remain.”
Sidon closed his fist over his Sacred Stone, staring at the soft glow from between his fingers. Riju, Yunobo, and Tulin looked around at the platoons of their people, none of them were willing to put their own through that. However, Selatoh rested her hand over Sidon's closed fist, obscuring the glow of his Stone. The pair locked eyes, knowing what wasn't being said.
“Link needs help.” Sidon sighed, “Someone has to-”
“No!” Mineru snapped, “There won't be a way to return you to yourself.”
“Sidon, let me do this instead.” Selatoh muttered, “The domain needs you, Yona needs you. I can-”
“Are either of you listening to me!?” Mineru attempted to wedge her bulky body between the two royal Zora, “You will lose everything that makes you who you are! There is no coming back from draconification!”
“I understand that.” Selatoh nodded, “And I'm willing to go through with it.”
“You shouldn't,” Sidon tried to pull his Stone away from Selatoh but her grip on his hand wasn't letting up, “I may be the King of the Zora, but I'm also the Water Sage. When Link has need of me, I must be there.”
“No, I should do it instead.” Selatoh insisted, “You have other responsibilities Sidon, but I can do this in your place.”
“No, you'll be needed in my place. The domain will be in good hands with you dear sister.”
“I cannot rule the way you do brother. Allow me to do this in your place. It's the least I can do.”
“It isn't your responsibility to do so Selatoh.” Sidon carefully pried her hand off his, “It's mine as the Water Sage.”
“And what if Link needs the Water Sage in the future?” Selatoh asserted, “If I turn into a dragon, then you can continue to watch the domain as the King while I watch the domain from afar. You needn’t do this.”
Mineru huffed, “You won't know a thing. That is quite literally impossible for you to keep this mindset.”
Turning to the large armor suit, Selatoh cocked her head, “Then could you explain Farosh, Dinraal, Naydra, and the Light dragon? They are peaceful, watching over Hyrule and have for longer than any of us could ever know. Except yourself Mineru. Even if I won't have any sense of self, I won't be dangerous after this.”
Mineru huffed again, “This is absolutely insane…”
“But I can't argue with your logic either. But if you're going to do this, then everyone needs to stand back.”
Selatoh nodded, Sidon still had his doubts however. Refusing to relinquish his Stone even as everyone else backed up, except Tottika; ever standing by his princess's side.
“Sidon, I've made my choice.”
“Selatoh, this isn't-”
“I've stood back long enough Sidon!” Selatoh snapped, “I can't stand back any longer!”
“Selatoh…”
“No! Enough is enough!” Selatoh snagged Sidon's Sacred Stone, “I can't lose you the way we lost Mipha just because it's not my responsibility. I've had to stand back as you helped Link twice now! After what happened with Mipha, you can't begin to imagine what I've felt, how deeply I feared you wouldn’t return! I won't go through that again!”
Sidon's arms shook as he reached for his twin sister, this wasn't normal. As badly as he wanted to comfort her, talk her out of this, Sidon knew Selatoh wouldn't be reasoned with.
“Selatoh, please.” Tottika stepped forward, “There are other ways to help Sir Link than this. Please, no one needs to go through with draconification.”
Turning to Tottika, Selatoh frowned slightly, “I'm sorry. I have to do this.”
“SELATOH!”
Both Sidon and Tottika rushed forward as she backed away, swallowing the stone quickly. The immense surge of raw power through her body sent Selatoh reeling. Stumbling over her own feet as the pain raced across her body, only just being able to turn to where everyone stood, staring.
Selatoh's voice reached the two Zora, the only people closest to her as she uttered her last lucid statement, “I love you.”
Then in a blindingly red and gold light, an ear splitting roar filled the sky as a new dragon emerged from the spherical prism. Red as blood with Selatoh's markings lining the body, three stars across the familiar head crest; exactly where they had been in her Zora form. A frilly mane fanning out as if perpetually underwater, sparkly flecks of light raining down like glitter as the dragon ascended to the clouds. A thin and spindly beast twisting, coiling as she went.
Shaking, looking up at the newly formed, ferocious beast, Tottika held a hand over his mouth as he muttered her name. Sidon couldn't help but stare in disbelief as his sister, his twin sister, flew upward, straight at the black and red demonic looking dragon.
It was the kind of nightmare one could only hope to wake up from…
Even as the memories of her life faded, Selatoh knew what she needed to do. Her instincts screaming to protect the land, to rid the skies of this demonic presence as she sunk razor sharp teeth into the dark, scaly hide. Massive droplets of blood dripping off her snout as she retreated, the ghastly wound oozing blood down its own tail.
Link wasn't entirely certain of where this new dragon had come from, or if it was even friendly. What he did know was that it was fighting Ganondorf alongside himself and Zelda. Even as he hesitated in his trust given that this dragon was quite vicious, Link couldn't deny that it was doing quite a bit of damage to Ganondorf while he got his weapons ready.
And yet, with Ganondorf's… or rather Sonia's Sacred Stone in hand, and Zelda returned to her Hylian form; Link worried about hitting the ground. Until the mysterious red and blue dragon swooped under them. There was something vaguely familiar about this dragon, what was it that Link couldn't put his finger on? It was almost maddening as they landed near Hyrule Castle. The calmness of the dragon was unsettling… even Zelda was caught off guard by how domestic this unknown dragon was acting. Until…
“SELATOH!”
Both Tottika and Sidon rushed forward to the dragon's snout, Sidon practically flinging himself onto its face. Tottika could barely bring himself to touch the dragon, but the soft way the snout met his hand sealed Link's mind. His eyes widened as he approached the dragon himself.
“Selatoh, why?” Link muttered, “Why?”
Mineru couldn't help but stand in awe, “I… I can't believe any of this. The Zora princess is still calm as a dragon and Zelda is back. How? How could the draconification process be reversed?”
“I have no idea…” Zelda shook her head, “I was certain that my own change was permanent, but-”
“It was the other Stones.” Link tore his eyes off the red dragon, “I- I don't know how to explain it but Rauru and Sonia's spirits appeared and between the three of us we were able to return you to normal Zelda. It was almost like an overpowered Recall ability.”
Sidon slid off the large snout, “Then we must hurry! Selatoh didn't change more than an hour ago, she might fly off if we wait for too long!”
Mineru sighed, “I don't know why she hasn't already, she should have left by now. Unless her instincts as a dragon haven't fully kicked in yet. But that can't be the case given how she was acting during the fight.”
Looking up at Selatoh, Link clenched his fist.
“We have to try. If all the Sages channel their power to Zelda we should be able to reverse Selatoh's transformation too.”
“But Link, I've never-!”
“Please Princess Zelda.” Sidon clutched both of her hands, “I may not have my Sacred Stone, but I will help in any way I can. I can't let my sister spend eternity as a dragon, if there's even a tiny chance to return her to normal.”
Riju stepped forward, “I agree, Selatoh only went through with this because she wanted to assist Link in the fight. If there's anything I can do to help, you have my Sacred Stone.”
“Yeah, I don't know much about this but if we can fix this I'm all for it.” Yunobo nodded, “Count me in!”
Tulin hopped over, “Let's do it then! We all believe you can Princess!”
Walking over calmly, Link rested a hand gently on Zelda's shoulder, the two locking eyes as they nodded. Something deep in Zelda burned brighter as she lifted her arm toward the red and blue dragon.
A bright orb of light built up in her palm, her Sacred Stone glowing much brighter. One by one the other Sage's Stones began glowing as their hands glowed with the same light, even Sidon despite his lack of a Sacred Stone. Except for a bright dot in Selatoh's chest, where the Sacred Stone resided.
As the dot in her chest glowed brighter, it expanded to swallow Selatoh's form. Even as the clock-like runes enveloped the domeing light, it was clear the sphere of light was shrinking quickly. Breaking once the reversal process was completed, leaving a confused Selatoh holding the Sacred Stone in her palm. Looking frantically upward before turning her gaze to the crowd of people. The first to reach her was Tottika, who extended a hand to pull her to her feet.
Meeting his eyes as she accepted the help up, Selatoh was cut off by Sidon nearly tackling her back to the ground. Selatoh couldn’t help but look away sheepishly, hiding against Sidon’s shoulder as the two shook from the sheer force of emotion coursing through the two of them. A million questions flew across Selatoh’s mind as she had believed there was no way to return.
And yet, words failed her as Sidon finally relinquished her shoulders. Everything she had been through, the fading memories of the sheer power and mindlessness of her dragon form, having seen the entirety of her life flash before her eyes only a a short hour prior…
All Selatoh could do was laugh. Her head thrown back as her while body shook with the force of her laughter. The overpowering emotion tearing its way out of her body through whatever avenue it could find. Tears streaming down her face before her laughter could even lower in volume in the slightest. No one around her knew what to do, not even Sidon. Only capable of letting Selatoh laugh and cry and hiccup herself into a quiet stupor as she stood there. Nothing left to express, no energy to even think about anything. Tottika moved to support her, guide her to an area of rest.
Selatoh didn’t, couldn’t fight even if she had wanted to. Trudging alongside Tottika and eventually Bazz as the pair of Zora lead the frazzled Princess away. Leaving Sidon and Link to trot behind. Followed closely by the remainder of the Sages, their platoons, the mechanical Zonai, and Princess Zelda; the motley, triumphant, and exhausted crew shocking the researchers whom had fled into the underground bunker. Though their shock was short lived as recuperation procedures, hot meals and first aid, begun.

ToTK: A princess left behind
This is my entry for @zelinkcommunity Zelink week 2023 day 2 forbidden. The forbidden comes from this being a AU ending of Tears of the Kingdom in which Link kill Ganondorf before he turn into the Demon Dragon and swallow his secret stone. Spoliers for Tears of the Kingdom. Also, Link and Zelda's daughter Charlotte is named after her grandmother.
It has been months since both Charlotte's mother Princess Zelda and her father Link has disappeared and the Demon King has been defeated by the team work of Link and the new Sages. Right now, the four years old princess is on a sky island with her parents' close friends the Sages and Purah the Shiekah scientist. The Sages has last saw Link take a Secret Stone, a Zonai artifact that amplify the powers of the one whose wear it, from the Demon King dead body and strangely request that the Sages guide Charlotte in her duties as heir to the Kingdom of Hyrule and he is sorry for not saving Zelda from a fate. Weeks later, there begins sighting of a green dragon that sudden appear above Hyrule Castle before flying off to the clouds, where the mysterious Light Dragon was waiting for it, and there is no secrets that begin rumors of how the dragons are somehow connected to Princess Zelda and Link disappeared. Among the Sages is the spirit of Mineru, the Sage of Spirit and Charlotte's ancient aunt.
Mineru explains to Charlotte, "Long ago, when your mother end up in my time, in the begining era of Hyrule, I hold Princess Zelda about stories of a forbidden act called draconification. The story goes that 'to swallow a Secret Stone is to be become an immortal dragon... one blessed with eternal life. To become a immortal dragon is to lose oneself.' That is why it is forbidden. After my brother Rauru seal the Demon King at the cost of his life, the broken Master Sword appear in our time and your mother, Charlotte, decided..." and Mineru become sadly, "so that Link could get the sword in time for the final battle..."
Everyone realized what Mineru is hinting at with Purah saying in disbelief, "T-That's nonsense... Zelda would never turn herself into a dragon!" which the Zonai call out, "Maybe that why Link didn't tell any of you when he found out about Zelda's fate! You would have call him mad with grief, when Link was losing his will except to destroy the Demon King as Zelda wanted, just like my brother when his wife Sonia was murdered in cold blood by the Demon King for her Secret Stone! Beside, both he and Zelda suffered a crushing defeat by the Demon King's evil you called Calamity Ganon 100 years ago and it affected their minds!" Purah and the Sages understand that Mineru was right about their possible doubts as Charlotte ask, "What about daddy?" and the Zonia close her eyes and said to the little girl as she open them, "I am... I am sorry, little one... I told you about your mother's fate, because I tragically have a theory about what happen to Link, as he has saw Zelda's memories of me telling her about draconification and her transformation. I see in his face that Link was desperate to defeat the Demon King for something only than protecting Hyrule..."
Sidon made a horrible conclusion and ask, "Please... Don't tell us... Did you believe Link truely swallow the Secret Stone of..." Just then, two roars full the skies and everyone look up to see the Light Dragon and the Green Dragon, both has mane of blonde fur, which are proof of their identities. Riju speak out, "That Light Dragon... she must be Zelda. That mean that other dragon is truly..." and Charlotte speak this terrible realization as well, "Daddy..."
The two dragon sit down to the platform before the gathered group and lower their heads so that their Hylian daughter would touch their fur, just like she would feel their hands. As she does, a glowing light came from Charlotte's hands and spiritual avatars of Link and Zelda appear. Zelda's avatar happily, "Charlotte... oh, my Charlotte..." before she notice Link and realized, "Link... you are here.... but, did you..." and Link reply, "Yes, my love. I defeat the Demon King, with the Master Sword you keep safe for me, and swallow his Secret Stone to be with you."
A few weeks back, Link hold the Secret Stone he took from the beheaded body of the Demon King, seeing that it does amplify the recall ability as he hope, so he is left with his other option to be with Zelda, even if it means forshaking what make Link himself and leaving his daughter and his friends. Link has saw that he has become like Rhoam and Rauru when he learn Zelda fate 10,000 years ago of become a father and king of Hyrule whose lost his wife.
Just like the memoires of Zelda, Link put the Secret Stone and swallow it, which he feel everything fading away as a glow comes from his body before his blue eyes become the eyes of dragon and his Hylian body become a long green dragon with a mindset of finding his mate, the Light Dragon, roaring as it fly from above Hyrule Castle and into the skies of clouds where she waited him.
Link said to his friends with one last look, "Please... protect Charlotte... make her happy... ensure that the Hyrule she will lead will never face another evil like Ganon again." and both Zelda and him said to their daughter as their avatars fade away, "We love you, Charlotte... with all of our hearts." Soon, the two dragons fly out to explore and protect this land, together in eternal union. Mineru sigh and said, "It's a bettersweet ending. My brother and the wife he loved... their Secret Stones has made two lover forshake their mortal lives to be immortal dragons that wouldn't remember their past lives."
In a attempt to cheer Charlotte up, the Sages speak, trying to do so together, "Those of us... gathered here... swear on our lives... to support Princess Charlotte and...." They stop for a brief moment which cause Charlotte to giggle before the Sages try what Link told them before his transformation again, "to support Princess Charlotte Zelda Hannah Hyrule and safeguard the land of Hyrule."
After Mineru's spirit fade away, and Charlotte see that the Secret Stone that is now hers has become the mix of white and yellow to symbol her light and time powers, which her powers and her ancestors has.

So how would some of ToTK concepts be incorporated into your au (Like the fckin dragons, stones, ultra hand, etc?)
Also does Kohga exist in the Lost Family au?
The whole Zonai magic technology thing does not exist in my au. As well as the Zonai they are more as a footnote like how they’re treated in BotW. The secret stones don’t exist sorta…the triforce does but they take a more physical form like the secret stones. Draconification…………..thinking abt it
Kohga does exist in my au as well as Sooga for all my Sooga enthusiasts out there, I don’t talk abt them much cause I’m not a big Yiga enjoyer like others </3 but they do take an important role to my au’s story

SPOILERS FOR TEARS OF THE KINGDOM
my brain wouldn't allow me to sleep last night so I bring to you: QSMP TotK au
This is gonna be mainly Jaiden focused bc I don't really watch anyone else's pov lmao. Things mainly play out the same as they have already except with a few changes like the eggs coming from the feds experiments with secret stones, most of the mobs are replaced with your general monsters in TotK, and things are more modern than they were in TotK but the Islanders don't have access to a lot of the tech. The races of a few of the islanders are changed as well, for example Foolish a Zora, while Jaiden is a Rito/Hylian hybrid of sorts created by the federation bc why not. Story wise things are about the same up until Jaiden is asked to work for the federation, she does work with them for the sake of protecting the eggs but she has different tasks, like examining Zonai ruins and researching the secret stones. Eventually Cucurucho gives her a secret stone, but she still has no idea how it works or what even to do with it. She continues to explore more and more ruins, learning how the stones allow the user to channel their powers and stuff, but she has no powers to amplify. (I'll write this off as a side effect from growing up in the federation, totally not cuz I have no idea what power to assign her with lmao). She eventually learns about draconification, and initially is like "why would anyone do this" but her position on it changes pretty quickly after the remainder of the eggs are gathered into one spot for an event along with the islanders, only to be attacked by multiple codes that quickly overwhelm even the strongest fighters in the group. Jaiden panics, and looks to cucurucho for help, but it only laughs and gives her a book that says "protect the eggs". She realizes what she has to do, swallows the stone, and undergoes draconification. She kills the codes, but is now stuck like this. Plot twist, the federation engineered her specifically for this purpose as they wanted to study the dragons further than just experimenting on the eggs. Because she was made for this, she has more consciousness than your average dragon and is much more agreeable to work with the federation, she's not totally there but enough of her is to know she doesn't want to hurt anyone.
I guess this would count as a fanfic idea? I'm not confident enough in myself to write tho haha. For all I know this could be incomprehensible rambling, but this idea has been bouncing around my head like the windows screensaver and I needed to put it down somewhere

the totk au would go insane btw. still thinking about it. i know i said id want ranboo as rauru but imagining them as the sage of spirit goes equally crazy. imagining tommy fighting to reach the spirit temple and hearing about tubbo and ranboo working together to set in place the plan to defeat the demon king and having ranboo tell him about how tubbo performed draconification. god..... What do you say to a giving a little more lore on the priestesses AU?
I WOULD LOVE TO
first of all, some things need to be adjusted for totk, and that means I have to share a different theory that I have that's kind of independent from the priestesses au.
The idea that the Zonai weren't the only race that disappeared. I think that probably at the same time as the Zonai there were a race that lived almost exclusively in the depths and were able to manipulate the darkness. (see Thypho ruins in botw) they could be what form the ancient hero took, (bc that magical fursuit does not look like any zonai we know, the tail, the ears, the hair, etc...)
That way there could still be a connection to the Twili, (also since Midna's and Zant's helmets are down there). It really bothered me that the Zonai suddenly came from the sky and looked like goat people and what little we knew about them was shattered. But if there were a race that cooperated with the Zonai in the depths, a mirrored world of the surface, blanketed in pitch darkness, that may have disappeared alongside them, and after thousands of years had been forgotten entirely, that makes sense to me.
The priestesses au is largely centered around creating a backstory for the three elemental dragons in botw, and so totk... made me have to make more changes for it to make sense. Originally the AU was supposed to happen a hundred years after the first calamity, like how botw happens a century after the second and final calamity. The plot was going to be that just like in the future, even with all the tech and the might of the champions and the princess and the hero, the calamity still wasn't quite sealed. It still had influence and a wanting to take the triforce from its chosen guardians.
But in totk the whole idea of the dragons was kind of explained (though I'm not sure if the dragons appeared in any past cutscenes or if Zelda was kind of 'the first'. I have a feeling due to the abundance of massive skeletal remains, the dragons aren't as immortal as they seem and there were more of them than just the four that we know about)
So, that just means that I now have a method of how the priestesses became the dragons. Perhaps after Ganondorf was sealed, more secret stones were discovered and given to those of extraordinary power, or perhaps they were just a last resort to keep the sacred springs and the goddesses that they represented safe. There was a reason calamity ganon tried to take over Naydra (Zelda) but wasn't able to fully control her. Her divinity was too much to turn her into a threat against Link. I have a feeling he would've tried to go after the other dragons but after the first one, knew it was a losing battle.
Or, they could be the reason draconification was banned in the first place and they turned before Hyrule was even a kingdom. Perhaps there used to be nine secret stones (Rauru/Zelda's- Light/Time, Sonia/Ganondorfs- Time/Gloom, Sages- Lightning, Fire, Wind, and Water, plus three more for the dragon trio) and the Zonai, who wanted to keep the secret stones within reach, banned the practice. After all, dragons don't really do much other than vibe and a secret stone is much more useful to have available.
Now, enough of that, it's kinda boring, let's get to the good shit, I want to talk about Ravio being the equilibrium between darkness and light, out of the rest of his siblings, he's the one who takes on the most 'twili' traits, he has the greatest grasp over darkness, which he uses to conceal his face, and his hair glows the brightest. And he's the one chosen to wield the sword that seals the darkness. I think it's important to note how the character of Link as the hero is always kind of a sponge of the magic and people around him, so Ravio is no different. He's the balance of the darkness and the light, and the magic prowess and the skill with a sword that it's important for the hero to have.
Every other character has a more clear delineation of skills, they have more extreme strengths and weaknesses but Ravio is made to be a little more adaptable, he is the duality that is needed to be the hero. He knows when to run and hide in the shadows, and he knows when to fight. He just has to learn that his nature of being a jack of all trades is a good thing rather than being disappointed that he can't seem to get good at one specific thing like all the people around him.
thanks for letting me go on a tangent, however, I am still open to more instigation lmao, my typing fingers aren't tired yet
