Hi, Neil! God said that everything will be destroying after 6000 years from the Beginning. All. Aziraphale said that to Crowley when they first met. But later Crowley want to escape from Armageddon and the demons and the punishment of Hell to somewhere, anywhere in the galaxy. Alfa Centauri for example. Did Aziraphale know is wrongly? Or the plan has changed?

It's ineffable, isn't it? Then again, Crowley's an optimist.

There's plenty of criticism of Aziraphale idealism and his need to especially in flashbacks insert himself in people's life and trying to help when no one's interested in it. But there's not so many people pointing out Cowley's flaws which are a bit less obvious and in direct contrast to Aziraphale's.

While Aziraphale always looks for a way how to change things for better, Crowley prefers things never changing at all. While Aziraphale wants to solve every problem he sees, Cowley's preferred solution is to ignore all problems and run away from all the trouble.

Maybe because he's afraid of change is the main reason why he keeps withholding information from Aziraphale. And it all reflects in the line: "You cannot leave this bookshop," - because that would change their status quo and he wants them to always stay as they are now. Crowley never tried hard to make Aziraphale understand how broken the system is because he likes his idealism. He just wants their relationship and their existence on the Earth stay exactly as it is because it's familiar, it's comfortable, why change anything when it's perfect like this?

When there is such an option his first reaction is always to flee from problems not solve them. We can go back to first season where when things started to look dire he wanted to leave everything behind and just run away together with his angel to Alfa Centauri. We see it again in this season when his first suggestion is just to drop off Gabriel somewhere and pretend he was never there and nothing happened.

He lost everything because he desperately tried to keep things as they are, unchanging. Unfortunately though, nothing lasts forever.

Even tho ‘Nina makes Crowley realise he’s in love’ has become quite a popular interpretation I’m still sticking with my previous interpretation of ‘Crowley knew the whole time, likely since the Eden wall scene’. It’s bcos this twist on their relationship does nothing for me and all I see from other ppl who liked it is ‘Oh Crowley’s such a dum-dum, of course he’d just do all those things but remain oblivious, he’s so silly’.

Now I’m not mad at anybody specifically for having a different interpretation but I wanna share my own thoughts about the interpretation itself, and by ‘share my thoughts’ I mean bitch about it.

In s1 so much of Crowley’s behavior is so intentional, he’s the one always pushing for them to have more interactions, he was the one who suggested the arrangement, he’s always inserting himself in Azi’s life, he’s the one insisting they are on their own side, he’s suggesting running off to Alfa-Centauri, he’d do anything like postpone Satan and any other of Azi’s whims just for him, he’s the one who at the end when they’re waiting on the bus appeals to Azi again trying to reinforce that they’re together on the same side, but probs the most obvious example of all the ‘you go to fast for me’ scene. There’s so much potent drama and tragedy there for Crowley if he’s pursuing Azi the whole time, how else would you even call what he’s doing in s1?

“Well, can I drop you anywhere?”

“No, thank you. Oh, don’t look so disappointed. Perhaps one day we could… I don’t know. Go for a picnic. Dine at the Ritz.”

“I’ll give you a lift. Anywhere you want to go.”

“You go too fast for me, Crowley.”

So when I watched this exchange the first time and assumed it has a deeper meaning cos they’re both talking in code and using the car as a metaphor for being ready to take their relationship to the next level I wasn’t right and the scene isn’t really that deep or romantic cos Crowley was really just suggesting spending more time together that evening like always and had no deeper desire or meaning to convey and also completely missed the meaning of Azi’s words?

For the love of God he walked into a church burning his feet for Azi’s sake in this grand sweet gesture just completely unaware of why he’s actually doing it? Doesn’t it take away so much depth and agency and meaning from that interaction? If it’s not intended by Crowley as a grand sweet gesture cos ‘he’s the love of my life, I’d do anything for him’ but as far as Crowley’s aware he’s doing it just because?

I think that’s why I dislike it so much, it exchanges the imo super compelling drama and a tragic angle to Crowley’s character with ��oh it’s just so typical of them to be so smart yet stupid ha ha’. Like honestly, yeah sure, I get it, it fits the Pratchett-esque type humor, it IS in character for them to be dum-dums but it’s kinda disappointing imo if this comedic aspect of their characterization was taken so far as to be used as an explanation for really serious aspects of the development of their quite tragic relationship.

I think part of this is also this paradox of how having inhuman characters in stories doesn’t mean anything cos fundamentally they still need to behave human in order to be relatable to the audience and not come off as flat and simplified versions of ‘human’, what ppl often think of as poorly written characters. And oftentimes attempts to create ‘otherworldly’ characters that are still compelling simply result in cishet writers making all their robots/aliens/angels aro/ace/trans, so creating completely human characters with human experiences. I think there’s a limit to how far you can take a character who’s lived with humans for 6k years and presumably loves them and say that he wholly misunderstands the most basic and important aspect of humanity like ‘feeling love’ before the character becomes ‘silly’ beyond understandable or relatable.

Azi being clever yet stupid cos his internal character conflict results in him not knowing how to reconcile his relationship with heaven to his relationship with Crowley? Fantastic. An extremely human experience of dealing with an abusive family too, and not at all anything truly celestial/alien.

Crowley knowing Jane Austen personally from a heist but missing the fact that she wrote novels and their cultural relevance, a la grandpa who lives under a rock? Or him organizing a heist to *looks at notes* steal holy water, a la demon who doesn’t know how christianity works and that he could get it for free by asking? Hilarious. Crowley having character quirks like his thing with ducks? Great.

Crowley spends 6k years consistently and vigorously pursuing one person (one!!!) and performing grand romantic gestures but sike, it was unintentional cos he’s so removed from the human experience and emotions that he’s got no self-awareness? Meh.

It’d be another thing if the whole time Crowley was shameful and in denial of his feelings and behaved like Azi e.g. “we’re not friends and I don’t even like you”, with him I totally agree that he must have realized recently and has still not processed it and his family trauma, but the intent and purpose and intensity with which Crowley pursues a relationship, even just a friendship, with Azi in s1 really makes it unbelievable to me that he’d do it completely unaware. During the talk with Nina he may have realized that his relationship with Azi is comparable to the human romance and opened his eyes to the possibility of e.g. kissing and realized he needs to make a move and stop dancing around the topic but I completely reject the idea that he didn’t know he loved Azi.

Warning. Bitterness incoming: Currently waiting for s3 to inspire an interpretation that *that scene from s3* is when Azi realizes he’s in love, cos he hasn’t done so in 1941, s1 and s2, and during the kiss scene apparently.

okay so of course i could just write an angry rant at Aziraphale, blame him and say it's all his fault. And of course i'm mad at him like "i forgive you" THE FUCK YOU MEAN I FORGIVE YOU WELL I DON'T FORGIVE *YOU*-

but my point is, it's nobody's fault. As much as i hate it, as easy it would be to blame him, it's not Aziraphale's nor Crowley's fault. The problem is the conflicting priorities, values and motives and well, of course, their communication.

Crowley just wants to be with Aziraphale, he loves him obviously, he even offered him to run away together to Alfa Centauri and when he saw Beelezbub and Gabriel do what he always wanted - he thought that maybe, just maybe, it's now possible for him and Aziraphale as well. He doesn't care about heaven nor hell, he just cares about "their" side - them and only them. He doesn't want to go back to being an angel - he no longer is one for a reason. He doesn't want to go back to hell either. He just wants to be with Aziraphale and that's it. Maybe also keep his Bentley.

While Aziraphale is an idealist. He wants to make a change. He genuinely believes in people being good and archangels being good even though they treat him like trash. He firmly believes he can make heaven a better place, which means he can see it's flaws but he still thinks he can single-handedly fix it. Well, who am I to judge, as an archangel actually maybe he can. We don't know that. But Crowley seems skeptical. And if they kicked out Gabriel just for saying no to a plan... I don't think he has huge chances. But I digress. The point is, he believes it. And it's important to him. He views it as his duty. Sure, there is a place for Crowley in his idealistic version of reality - in heaven, with him, like the old times, everything perfect. But this vision doesn't include how Crowley himself feels about it. And as we established, Crowley doesn't want to go back to heaven.

Actually he kind of does the same thing. He offers Aziraphale running away together, not thinking whether he could do what he wants (making heaven better and performing his duties in general).

So again, they love each other and want each other to be in their lives but also don't really see or understand each other's needs and goals. And there is way too much tension and unsaid emotions between them to sit down and try to talk about it, instead they have to shout at each other and be lost and not understand why the other one doesn't see it the same way. If they had more time, if their feelings for each other weren't being repressed for so long, they could talk it through, take it slower, establish that they love each other and that they're each other's top priority and start building from there. It would at least prevent some miscommunication about each other's priorities, because for us it's painfully obvious but for them, it isn't.

But well, it wasn't the case. So Crowley gives up. He realizes that he proposed Aziraphale a future together, he opened up and was honest about his feelings and he turned him down both of the times. He thinks it's a lost cause, it'll never work out, there is nothing more he can do and he'll be heartbroken and alone forever. So if he never sees Aziraphale again, then he can at least do what he had wanted for millennia. Because sure, it's gonna hurt, but he won't feel the consequences if he'll never see him again. So he kisses Aziraphale. Just to know how it feels, just to remember this moment for eternity, even if every time he remembers it it's gonna hurt like hell itself. Or heaven, for that matter. And the kiss is awful. It's forced, Aziraphale is shocked, hurt, he doesn't know what to do but he doesn't kiss Crowley back. And Crowley kisses him still, to remember what it feels like forever, because it's never gonna happen again. At last he retreats, knowing that whatever reaction he might get, it probably can't be worse already.

And then Aziraphale says "I forgive you". He looks almost betrayed, scared, aching. We don't know if he wanted it. He probably did. But surely not under such circumstances. And the mix of guilt, righteousness, fear, regret and somewhere there the desire to kiss him back and never let go make him so confused and lost that he doesn't know how to react. But in the end the betrayal of trust that a forced kiss is, probably also a destroyed another one of his perfect visions of their first kiss but also the good in his heart that doesn't allow him to be properly mad at Crowley make him say only the simple "I forgive you".

Which for him is probably a positive message. But for Crowley it's acknowledging that he did something wrong. That he had hurt his Angel. And he can't bear the thought. For him it's a point of no return. So he leaves.

Aziraphale stands there, still in shock but he doesn't have the time to process, because Mettatron comes back with his offer. He agrees because really, what else is there to do? At least it will keep his mind busy. That's how he copes. After their little argument back in the 19th century I believe, he was learning how to dance with a bunch of kind gentlemen that made him forget. At least for a moment. How did Crowley deal with it? We don't know. Probably not the best. We've seen how he reacted when he thought Aziraphale was dead, in the burning bookshop. It didn't go well. And I doubt it will this time. To sum it up, it's terrible. It's awful. I hate it. So Neil... We better have a season three full of fluff. But honestly, I don't know how they could possibly fix this. If you're reading this far, congratulations and thank you, I'll go back to crying now.

Gabriel ya no puede recuperar sus memorias, Beelzebub sabe que no existe otra cosa que pueda hacer más que enamorar a su ángel de nuevo. Posiblemente no suceda tan pronto como el lord de las moscas desea, pero necesita paciencia y un montón de dulces ideas románticas si quiere que el corazón de él vuelva a latir enamorado cuando esté a su lado.

Good Omens Season 2 Spoilers Below:

Seeing how people react to Aziraphale, I think it’s very important to see all the factors.

Aziraphale didn’t choose Heaven above Crowley or AngelCrowley above their Crowley, they are an Earth protector but they still have a lot of hope in Heaven or even God herself, I don’t think they sees a difference between the Crowleys they know, but if both of them are in the same side its easy being together and more if that side it’s the “good one”.

Being able to cure family and religious trauma is difficult, Aziraphale was finally recognized by their “family” after years of being the good kid, and they tried (in their own way in the end) to do what they were made for, to protect the Earth, the humans, the lives God made. And okay, maybe MAYBE the coffee has something to do with Aziraphale's strange smile in the end but I don’t think that it’s out of character what happened. They really think that they alone can change the mind of an entire institution even when, since the beginning it only purpose was to have a war and win it, and I don’t think Heaven are going to really give them the power of an archangel in the decision, maybe have the face of someone who loves humanity or/and rebel in the front of the “second coming” will have something to do.

Aziraphale is a character full of hope, even in the ones who don't deserve it, in the same time, the loves to forgive, and I don’t think that forgiving the ones who wronged them is difficult. They saw a way of saving the world and they WANTED AND NEED Crowley by their side, they didn’t think about the chance of Crowley saying no when they accepted Metatron's offer.

Neil put a scene moments before where Aziraphale is giving up some of his books (even if it was an encyclopedia) to keep someone safe, Aziraphale says “Nothing lasts forever” meaning giving up his books and lovely life for safety WITH Crowley, he loves all that but he loves more life, including Crowleys

I truly love season 2 deeply even if I cried for 2 hours straight on the floor, because I know that I am able to feel all those emotions because I just see a good story being beautifully told with amazing scenes, talented actors, a genius writer, etc. I was able to see how much this story is loved and how much Neil loves Terry and his work, if you don’t like the end its OKAY because it is NOT the end, it is just a part so they can be happy together in a HEALTHY way and I just talk a little bit about Aziraphale point.

Esta serie trata de que el mundo se va a acabar por una bomba atómica la nasa escoge a las personas más inteligentes que puedan servir para formar otro planeta de estos escogen 100 personas y los llevan al espacio , estando allá no pueden tener más de un hijo , pasado un tiempo de 20 años , deciden bajar a los hijos de los integrantes de la nave para ver si la tierra ya es habitable , bajan 100 personas en busca de un hogar al caer la nave se divide en dos y ambas caen en lugares muy distintos , el grupo de 100 se separa en dos , empiezan a cazar a buscar un hogar habitable se quedan en un lugar mientras otros van a en busca de comida para poder sobrevivir, pero se encuentran con la sorpresa de que en la tierra habían más habitantes , se hacían llamar los de sangre negra , pero no sólo eso habían muchísimos y de distintos clanes en total habían 7 clanes , por todo lo sufrido en la tierra se vuelven de sangre fría y sin corazón , ahí se empieza una guerra de los 100 contra los clanes en busca de posicionarse para tener un mandato , al caer los 100 a la tierra pierden comunicación con la nave alfa centaury así se llamaba la nave que orbitaba en el espacio es decir los padres de los 100 , pasan entonces 6 años de inmensa lucha contra los clanes hasta que se pueden posicionar como los comandantes después de 10 años vuelve a haber una bomba nuclear donde la tierra se vuelve a destruir los 100 y demás clanes entran a un bunquer donde pasan 10 años más entre esos 10 años pasan cosas horribles ya se habían quedo sin comida y se comían entre ellos mismos en peleas y riñas , deciden salir de nuevo a ver si la tierra es habitable y si , la tierra, si era habitable se reúnen todos y se vuelven a comunicar con alfa centaury deciden partir un viajes hacía otro país donde pueden hacer una vida mejor y así todos pueden formar su familia .

Ame esta serie por que tiene mucha acción trama y siempre hay cosas nuevas en que pensar.

Ele orbita sua estrela em 3,15 dias terrestres e tem uma temperatura superficial de cerca de 125 °C. “Barnard b é um dos exoplanetas de menor massa conhecidos e um dos poucos conhecidos com massa menor que a da Terra. Mas o planeta está demasiado próximo da estrela hospedeira, mais próximo do que a zona habitável”, explica González Hernández. “ Mesmo que a estrela seja cerca de 2.500 graus mais fria que o nosso Sol, lá é quente demais para manter água líquida na superfície. ” Para as suas observações, a equipa utilizou o ESPRESSO , um instrumento altamente preciso concebido para medir a oscilação de uma estrela causada pela atração gravitacional de um ou mais planetas em órbita. Os resultados obtidos nestas observações foram confirmados por dados de outros instrumentos também especializados na caça de exoplanetas: HARPS no Observatório de La Silla do ESO, HARPS-N e CARMENES . Os novos dados não apoiam, no entanto, a existência do exoplaneta reportado em 2018. Além do planeta confirmado, a equipe internacional também encontrou indícios de mais três candidatos a exoplanetas orbitando a mesma estrela. O instrumento ANDES do ELT permitirá aos investigadores detectar mais destes pequenos planetas rochosos na zona temperada em torno de estrelas próximas, fora do alcance dos telescópios actuais, e permitir-lhes-á estudar a composição das suas atmosferas.
