Aléxis Morgan é simplesmente linda e sexy, apesar de se esconder sob roupas que não a favorece. Ele precisa provar daqueles lábios perfeitos, conhecer cada curva escondidas em seus trajes sóbrios, mas a garota é difícil. Não que ele vá desistir por isso...

Aléxis Morgan trabalha como secretária no escritório Sheperd and Harry’s Paisagismo. Pois desde que entrou lá, descobriu que era no Paisagismo que gostaria de trabalhar e sonhava em ter a chance de mostrar seus projetos para sua chefe Amanda Sheperd. Contudo, tinha que começar aos poucos, fazendo o que ela mandava. Mesmo que ás vezes, Aléxis tenha que fazer algo que não tinha nada a ver com as suas tarefas como secretária, como entregar uma carta para o ex- amante de Amanda com uma proposta de “negócios”.

Parada em frente a um prédio de construção de dois andares, Aléxis reclamava. Não era seu trabalho, mas ela não conseguiu dizer não para Amanda. Com roupas de trabalho que eram confortáveis, que lhe davam um ar de séria e profissional, mas que não a favoreciam e a faziam parecer uma velha e não uma mulher de 26 anos. Empurrando uma porta que dava num bar, ela entra.

Estava ali à procura de Ethan Marcus e ao perguntar ao barman, um cara gordo e baixinho diz ser ele, Aléxis não acredita nenhum pouco, pois conhecendo sua chefe, uma loira linda e arrogante, sabia muito bem que ela não se envolveria com um homem assim. Era brincadeira dos homens no bar e o verdadeiro Ethan surge atrás do homem baixinho. Alto, musculoso, cabelos pretos, olhos azuis quase cinzas e com um sorriso sexy que era sua marca registrada. Aléxis fica sem fala e o examina imóvel, já Ethan a examina sem esconder seu interesse pela moça até que ela fica rubra e abaixa a cabeça. Ele lhe pergunta intrigado e com um olhar divertido o porquê dela estar ali a sua procura e quando Aléxis diz o nome de sua ex, ele franze o cenho e fecha a cara, parecendo até mesmo irritado.

Ela estende o envelope de Amanda e após ler, Ethan rir divertido mostrando a carta ao barman que também ri, já sabendo que era um assunto antigo. Ethan finge pensar por um momento e não aceita o acordo que Amanda propõe, incluindo um aviso para que ela o deixasse em paz. Percebendo que não tinha mais nada para fazer ali, Aléxis estende a mão para Ethan e rapidamente, uma corrente elétrica percorre todo o seu corpo.

Ela retira a mão e agradece tentando sair do bar o mais rápido possível para longe do homem mais lindo e sexy que ela tinha visto em sua vida, mas Ethan não estava nem um pouco a fim de deixá-la escapar e a chama de volta tentando lhe oferecer uma bebida. O que era tentador, se fosse em outras circunstâncias, e se ele não fosse quem era! Mas estava fora de cogitação, ela poderia perder o emprego se Amanda descobrisse. Aléxis nega e pede desculpas, Ethan pede seu número e que se ela mudasse de ideia sabia onde encontrá-lo. Ela assente e enquanto saía, ele a encarava.

Anos atrás, Ethan alugara esse espaço para transformar num bar. Morava no andar de cima num espaçoso Loft. Morava em Nova Iorque desde a faculdade e montara seu escritório de Arquitetura no centro.

Ethan não conseguia tirar Aléxis da cabeça, ele a achou extremamente atraente e desejava muito saber o que ela escondia debaixo da roupa formal. Amanda queria esse prédio e voltar para ele, rindo da impossibilidade disso acontecer, ele relembra de como ela não havia mudado nada. Cheia de si e possessiva, mulheres assim o irritavam, ela era muito boa na cama, mas ao conhecê-la melhor o encanto havia acabado. Com a insistência dela, não ficaria livre tão cedo, pelo menos havia um bônus, veria Alexis outra vez.  

Uma atração que Aléxis não conseguia evitar desde a primeira vez que conheceu Ethan, também não conseguia parar de pensar nele. Ela até tenta ser forte, porém sua chefe lhe diz algo que a deixa muito magoada e irada. E para dar o troco, ela faz algo sem pensar nas consequências, se envolvendo com o homem que ela jurou que não iria. Mas o desejo e a atração eram maiores que ela. E agora, os dois irão viver no relacionamento mais complicado, intenso e incrível de todas as suas vidas.  

Minha Opinião:

O que falar desse livro...

Simplesmente incrível!! É viciante, envolvente e a história tem um ar intenso, sexy e maravilhoso, gostei do Ethan logo de cara, me encantei pelo seu jeito divertido e direto de ser kkk. A Aléxis é linda e como o Ethan mesmo diz, super complicada! Mas também quem não ficaria em dúvida na situação dela? Fiquei muito irritada com o modo da Amanda de tratar a Aléxis e fiquei muito feliz com a decisão que ela tomou. Me diverti em muitos momentos com esse casal e também me indignei com o drama que faziam no relacionamento, principalmente a Aléxis, me surpreendi com a paciência que o Ethan tinha para ir em frente com a decisão dela. E torcia para que eles não precisassem mais esconder seus sentimentos. É uma escrita fácil e maravilhosa de ler, tanto que no final fiquei com uma grande ressaca literária kk! Vale à pena conferir!

To prepare for the upcoming event she along with her friends, ceramic artist, Dayna Fisk, and coffee shop owner Bridey Roker take off on a girl's weekend to visit some other fairs. Abby takes time to meet with any vendors that are coming to Snowberry Creek's fair to make sure they are able to provide everything the vendor needs to make the event a success. Dayna also wants to check in at a booth carrying her works of art. She has one last vendor to meet with but when she returns to his booth it is closed with a sign saying "Sold Out". She is disappointed but all three ladies are happy to head for home. She later learns the vendor she wanted to see was murdered and another vendor, Dayna's business partner is missing. Dayna had some terse words with the woman before walking away and the argument was witnessed by many others so the police have Dayna high up on their suspect list. This leaves Abby no choice. She knows Dayna had nothing to do with with the vendor's demise or the other vendor's missing status. She needs to get a little crafty and piece together all the clues to save Dayna all while staying under the real guilty parties' radar. I always enjoy catching up with the residents of Snowberry Creek. Abby is a favorite throughout the community, she has great organizational skills and is always ready to volunteer wherever needed. Her only problem is that she keeps finding herself involved in all these murder investigations. Her relationship with Tripp Blackston is moving along nicely but he worries about her staying safe. It's not uncommon though to see local police chief Gage Logan and homicide detective Ben Earle along with Tripp gathered with Abby around her kitchen table discussing a case, with her dog Zeke nearby waiting for a treat or food to drop. They have grown to trust her and she had connections to so many people involved in this latest case they had no choice but to keep her in the loop while knowing she was going to be involved no matter what. These relationships are entertaining because sometimes tempers flare but they do all work well together. I also enjoyed Abby's time with her friends and the way they were always there for each other. We were introduced to a variety of people due to the fair. They were crafty in more ways than one and it made them all very interesting. The one surprise was that there was a fortune teller at the events. Not the first thing I would think to be at an arts and crafts fair. The mysteries put forth in this book were very intriguing but I did paste together the clues a bit faster than Abby. That did not hinder my enjoyment of this story one bit. In fact, there were a few moments when I thought I had it wrong but that final twist put everything to rights. I loved it. Not one but two exciting events leading up to another wonderful gathering around Abby's table to clear up any questions anyone may have had and put the case to rest. The arts and crafts theme was a fun way for the series to continue and I appreciate the way veterans are proudly included in every story. Death by Arts and Crafts was a great cozy that kept me captivated from start to finish. There was also a little foreshadowing at the end of what we can expect next for these fine characters as the series continues which left me very excited for my next visit to Snowberry Creek.

Alexis is the perfect example of having multiple personalities. Out of everyone in her family, she is the more gentle and compassionate one. She cares about everyone in her pack and in school, Alexis is quite popular among her senior classmates. She surrounds herself with superficial objects and desires. Shopping is her best friend and a fashion show is her ideal TV Show. While she has a lot of friends from school, its hard for her to trust people because of what she is. This causes her to hate the curse that was placed her by her parents. Her hatred started on her first change when she thirteen and committed her first murder. She wishes more than anything that she was human but only her brother Ebbs knows that. 

Despite her feelings toward her werewolf lifestyle,  Alexis will do anything to protect her family. Since the incident during her first shift, Alexis has nearly perfected her control and mastered her werewolf side and proves to be a formidable enemy. With the feud going on with the Hales, Alexis is fierce and ready to kill anyone in that pack when it comes time to. Her father has told her of their past and she agrees;that land should be theirs. But when Tyler Lockwood comes into town and tries to make her see the wrong her family is doing by siding with Klaus to take down the Hales, she starts to see that her father might be wrong and wants out. Will she side with her family in the final battle with the Original Werewolves or will she abandoned her family and be on the run for the rest of her life as an Omega.
