alexander chamberlain had always been an overachiever. he was the top of his class since primary school, and he'd never folded to the pressure. did it suck that he had to defer from university just to save up enough money to afford to go? absolutely... but he was finally at cambridge, and he was determined to make the most of it. all freshmen and sophomores had to live in campus housing, but that made no difference to alexander. he hardly would've been able to afford anything other than the cambridge dormitories with the money he had saved. all of it had gone to his books or a new laptop or other school supplies, and the little he had left, he was saving towards next year. he was finally all settled in. what little stuff he'd brought with him was already neatly tucked away in its proper place. his roommate, who hadn't even bothered to show up yet, had used a whole crew to set his side of the room up before alexander had even gotten to campus. once he'd found out who he was rooming with, he'd asked around about him. alexander just knew to expect the unexpected. he'd heard that alfie carmichael was eccentric and full of surprises. alexander didn't know what to expect of him. he hadn't even expected the brunet boy to be sitting atop his mattress when he sauntered into their room. wired headphones hung still as some glam rock blared in his ears. alexander jumped in fear when alfie finally moved, bringing his presence well to his attention. "h-holy shit," alexander said breathlessly. he yanked his headphones from his ears and let them dangle. "sorry... i wasn't really expecting you. i'm, uh, alexander," he sputtered out an apology. "did you, uh, make it in okay? i was getting kinda worried about you for a second."

Rewatching series 27 of silent witness and noticed that one of the previous post-mortem’s brought up was done by Thomas Chamberlain, on 12th May 2020.

But, in series 23 he died on 5th February 2020 as per the airing date of the episode.

So he was dead but had his name as the individual who completed a post-mortem???

Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but that was a rather odd/unexpected finding!
