I get it. Morri scoffs. The gin starting to do it's job: loosening lips, finally quelling the anxiety making his hummingbird heart fly so fast. "As if, look at you." He shakes his head, looking at the man properly. Adrian's not loud, or overtly confident, but he gives Morri the impression that he's comfortable. Comfortable enough in his own skin, then again he believes everyone is better suit for life than he is. "Couple months, now. Thank fuck," he mutters the last part. Home. An awful word for an awful place. "Is uh," he suddenly realises he's done nothing but answer questions. A conversation should go both ways. He looks at Adrian a little more intently. Eye contact is easier, now. He swallows a large shots worth of his gin. "Tell me something about yourself. I dunno what to ask."

"that's it," he confirms, bobbing his head in a nod. as far as sinister intentions go... adrian has never had very many. a little time, a little company, a little conversation... that's about all he has time for, anymore. any more than that and he'll start losing those precious few hours of sleep he's allotted in between free time and field work. shaking his head, adrian lifts a hand to wave off his apology. "you don't have to explain, i get it." it's always hard to believe that someone can just be kind, instead of looking for something. instead of needing anything, even. it's difficult to be a shield and a person at the same time. "how long have you been away from home?"

bit from the Halloween issue of the MASKS game I'm running. they were both dressed up as Ghostface but I didn't feel like drawing the mask even though it was the whole point!! the delinquent (westley) got buried in a coffin for a halloween game called Coffin King, but the jocks left him in there, then the nerd/doomed (adrian) went through a teleportation portal by accident and ended up trapped in the coffin with him, so we ended up with two ghostfaces in a coffin. BUT I DON'T WANNA DRAW THE GHOSTFACE MASKS!!
